- speaker-0: So here's the good news. We have a commitment statewide to diversify out. So industries like yours and mine are what the state wants here. They wanna try to do things. we're diversifying out things. And this comes from the top down. Everybody agrees. Democrat, Republican, everybody agrees. We although gaming will always be part of our industry base, ⁓ the idea is, as you said, sports are coming That transformed everything. ⁓ having more financial service rooms like mine, having fashion companies like yours here, it's gonna make everything real interesting as we move forward. And mark my words, the next 10 years, if they think we're successful now, just wait. speaker-1: Amen. Yeah. I completely agree. We are such a well-rounded city. And that comes from having so many diversified humans like in in the city. So I just can't tell me we're not the best city in the world. We just are. I just I just feel like we maybe shouldn't have marketed ourselves back in the day as like Sin City. ⁓ you're right. I think every city ⁓ like some bad in it. You know, coming from a small town in Iowa, we there was there's a lot of like trucks ⁓ there's not a lot to do there. And so people kind of get in that loop, right? So I could be worried about living in that small town and and and the same things. ⁓ know? ⁓ no, I'm not we're not going back. Sorry mom and dad. We are not going back. ⁓ speaker-0: You're you're past that. Well, you know, the the other part of it too, ⁓ and it because as you know, I wrote that article in Forbes called The New Western Wall Street. And I've had competitors come out here, and what's funny, Danny, it's that the you know, usually I look at the tax breaks, great business environment. They bring their wives they're and and so immediately they think you're gonna live on the strip. ⁓ I say, ⁓ no, I don't live on the strip. speaker-1: Yeah. single city, small town in the world. It does Yeah. That's why choices are everybody has choices. And I think you gotta trust your man's. speaker-0: Good luck with that one. Yeah. Well, the other thing too, I know we gotta jump to some questions here. The other thing I would say too that a lot of people miss out on a lot to do here. I we have a ski resort thirty minutes from downtown Vegas. We have Red Rock Canyon, we have Lake Mead, we have all these things. And so you tell people, you know, look, there's a lot of outdoor stuff to do here. You can ride horses, you can do whatever you want. I actually find more to do here than I ⁓ well to when I lived in the Bay Area. I mean, I actually find there's more ⁓ speaker-1: Couldn't mind. speaker-0: Areas to go into that are actually more remote. speaker-1: Have you ever thought that sometimes I feel this way? We have so many options here. I'm so overwhelmed when making a decision. Like if my girlfriends ask, ⁓ where do you want to go for lunch? I cannot decide because there's so many incredible options that we have, whether it's activities or shows, that I'm overwhelmed by the amazing opportunities that we get to live here in Vegas. speaker-0: You know the key? When I first moved here, this is this is gonna I'm going to my fourth year, realized very quickly I can't do it in a year. I actually did a two-year calendar. And I said, okay, I might not go to F1 this year or I might not go to the rodeo, but I'll go the following year. ⁓ I I no, I agree with you. You if you ⁓ you'll find, wait, what happened to my budget? speaker-1: Ha ha. speaker-0: Well, yeah, and by the way, so here we have the Golden Knights, you know, they're going to the Stanley Cup. And that is one thing I I've had people complain about the cost of living here. Well, I have news for you. If you want to go to the Stanley Cup finals and you want to be in the Rafters at T Mobile Arena, it's $900 a ticket. But that would be the same price you would pay in Los Angeles or New York or Paris or anywhere else. So I don't see that the you know again, the talking, ⁓ it's so expensive here. On a day to day basis. speaker-1: Well, So much. speaker-0: Exactly.
