  [SPEAKER_00]: look a little bit ahead as well for your Jacksonville Jaguars, who are in sole possession of first place in the AFC South, after a resounding, dominant 36 to 19 victory over the Colts, and just the last five, six weeks for the Jaguars, you know, since the by week is looked like a different team in a lot of ways, there's been ups and downs, certainly a major down against the Texans a few weeks back.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think that I want to start with where they're at in the standings right now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The goal needs to be more than 11 wins and 11 wins are staring the Jaguar's right in the face because you have the Jets at home next week and then you have the Titans and Jacksonville to finish the season, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: So those two games absolutely you need to win those two games, but you also have the

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars, the way things stand right now, they're not going to be favored to beat the Broncos in Denver and all likelihood.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Things could change a little bit here, but you never know.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I would say the Jaguars will not be favored.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But the Texans are right on their heels.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Texans, as I mentioned before, that game stinks so much because of what could have been.

  [SPEAKER_00]: couldn't kind of bury the Texans and put them in a place where they're not in a position to potentially threaten for the division title.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But the Jaguars are one game ahead of the Texans, the tiebreaker.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think right now the Texans would be in front because they've played more conference games, but I think at the end of the year, that tiebreaker would go down to like strength of victory or strength of schedule if the Jaguars and Texans end up with the same record.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Potentially, obviously that would mean the Jaguar's take care of business against the Colts and the Texans are taking care of business and the Texans, their road ahead, not all that difficult.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They're probably going to be favored in every game they play from here on out.

  [SPEAKER_00]: after what happened last night against the chiefs, kind of beaten the chiefs, beating themselves to an extent.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They then play the Raiders, both of those games are at home.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They're at the Los Angeles Chargers, that could be a tough game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Chargers are playing the Eagles tonight, we'll see how they're performing.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then they finish the season and Houston against the cult, so they have three of their next four at home.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I think they'll be favored in all those games, unless the chargers kind of dramatically shift their trajectory over the next couple.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And again, they play Monday night football tonight.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So the Texans, the point is, they're probably, I mean, they might win out.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And they're on a five game winning streak right now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They might finish the season with six, seven, eight, nine straight wins.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That defense is legit, and you now have CJ Stroudback.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they're Super Bowl contender, but you never know.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that offensive line still is not a great offensive line.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But the Texans are right there, and if the Jaguar slip up, even though we're feeling all excited and fired up about this victory, if the Jaguar slip up at all, the Texans are right there.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So the Jags, I mean, the goal needs to be to, obviously, within the building, it's, you know, go 1 and 0 every week, but the goal needs to be to win these games, all these games.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If the Jag Wars go 3 and 1, over the next 4, the Texans might catch them.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then you're talking about, again, going down to like strength of victory or strength of schedule probably in the tiebreakers.

  [SPEAKER_00]: because I think they're probably gonna finish with the same division record, same conference record, potentially, all these different things.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We don't need to go down the whole rabbit hole right now, but the point is, the jacks need to handle their business.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna preview that game a lot this week or we're gonna talk about it a lot, but at Broncos is gonna be huge because if the jack wars do handle their business

  [SPEAKER_00]: not only do the Jaguars potentially need that game against the Broncos to stay ahead of the Texans in their own division, but if you beat the Broncos, you then have an opportunity to potentially end up being a two seed instead of a three seed, which, you know, the higher the seed, the better, in my opinion, and I don't think they're going to catch the Patriots.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they have two games they should absolutely win.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Ravens aren't playing great ball right now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The bills, that'll be a tough game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, if the if the Patriots lose a couple.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Jacks have potentially catch them, but the Broncos, the Jacks actually have the opportunity to knock them off and, you know, kind of help their playoffs seeding at the same time while also helping themselves to stay ahead of the Texans in the division.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think that they still have a really good shot at the wild card.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think that they would probably still be the favorites for the wild card.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But again, we have to go back to looking at the chargers because the chargers currently, when you look at these standings, are in the wild card.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The chargers are currently the sixth seed.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So that's like another interesting one.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I think the Jag wars will probably be pretty locked in for a wild card spot if they end up getting jumped by the Texans here over the last month of the season.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The chargers are the six seed.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The bills are the five seed.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And there's nobody else really close.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And the cults, you control your own destiny against them.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So the Jags really good chance now to make the playoffs.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And as long as there's a percentile, you never know, but I think you can feel pretty good about this group.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Now, getting to this actual game and kind of analysis of what's going on to me, the coaching job has been nothing short of incredible for the jag wars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And a lot of credit has to go to the players getting the job done as well too.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But you look at the jag wars since the buy.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They have scored 30, 29, 35, 27, 25, and 36 there, putting up points.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And in three of their last four games, they have blown out their opponent.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And they have blown out the Titans and the Colts in consecutive weeks.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I know the Titans aren't good right now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't tell the Browns.

  [SPEAKER_00]: to beat the Titans 25 to 3 and Tennessee and come home and beat the cold's 36 to 19.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That's got to feel good for a Jaguar's fan and the coaching job because the way that they're instilling confidence, the way they're teaching, the way they're putting players in positions to succeed based on their skill sets on both sides of the ball and special teams to me is really no pun intended, it's special right now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Is it a perfect roster, no?

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I feel like they're getting the most out of the players that are here and players are ascending in their roles on both sides of the ball, all three phases of the game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Players are ascending at the right time and you want to be ascending and December.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And to January, the Jaguars, I don't care who you are.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't want to play the Jaguars right now in the way they're playing football.

  [SPEAKER_00]: everything's pretty much rolling and it's not perfect every week, but the passing game is ascending.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The weapons on offense are very talented.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The offensive line does a good job most weeks.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Defensive front, best run defense and football.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They've become a lot more aggressive and coverage, more confident and coverage.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't want to play them right now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: coaching and the personnel just doing a great job.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence, what a day for him.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I know like it wasn't perfect statistically for Trevor or for any of the players on offense, because it was pretty damn rainy.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It was wet the whole game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And so the ball was wet.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There was just, it wasn't ideal conditions for a dominant passing

  [SPEAKER_00]: You know, in my opinion, it was pretty dominant throwing the ball down the field.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And yes, there were some drops early on for Trevor.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There was some mist throws too.

  [SPEAKER_00]: 17 of 30 probably should have been about 20, 21 of 30.

  [SPEAKER_00]: 244 yards, two touchdowns, and Trevor Lawrence is playing really good football throw in the ball down the field, being able to attack the middle, and how about Brian Thomas Jr.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I'd say he's back, another very good game from Brian Thomas Jr. Six targets, three catches, and none of the guys outside of Tim Patrick had like these super efficient games.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, Patrick also had a drop, but like you look at Jacobi Myers, this is the first game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He was targeted 10 times and only had four catches.

  [SPEAKER_00]: One was a drop, there was, you know, inaccurate football,

  [SPEAKER_00]: That I attribute to the rain.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that you look at the 40% catch rate for Jacobi Myers or the 50% catch rate for Britain's strange or the 50% catch rate for Brian Thomas Jr. in this game and say that's like indicative of something that's going to be a trend moving forward.

  [SPEAKER_00]: but BTJ, catching a pass, going kind of like up the seam, down the middle, you'll love to see that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Haven't seen a lot of slot fades in Jacksonville lately.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They were very prevalent when it was, Doug Peterson and Christian Kirk and Trevor Lawrence, but it was good seeing that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So like, it was just a good rep effort wise and physicality wise and you saw several guys on that play really kind of manhandling their opponents and fighting through the whistle.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Same thing, I mean Josh Heinz Allen, I thought was playing with his hair on fire on defense, doing a really good job.
