- 0:00Speaker 1: Joel, you got a puppy. Let's see it. Okay, hold up, please,
- 0:04Speaker 1: I need wrinkles, I need pink belly. Do you have
- 0:11Speaker 1: a nice kitchen, Joel, Yeah, look at that cute little puppy.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Is that puppy got pit bull in it? Of course
- 0:23Speaker 1: it's a rescue. Yeah. Well mine's a staffy, which is
- 0:28Speaker 1: kind of like pit bull. Yep, she's so cute, Joel.
- 0:35Speaker 1: I'm so happy for you. It's crazy how pit bull
- 0:38Speaker 1: was so popular for so long and then became like
- 0:41Speaker 1: a It's such that that breed of dog is such
- 0:46Speaker 1: a It was bred with so many things for so
- 0:48Speaker 1: many other dogs, so much that every rescue, pretty much
- 0:53Speaker 1: almost every rescue you find has a pit uh mix
- 0:57Speaker 1: in it somewhere down the line. It's crazy like that.
- 0:59Speaker 1: We like, I don't know what it is, probably has
- 1:01Speaker 1: pitt in it, you know. Yeah, yeah, there are a
- 1:06Speaker 1: ton of them. Well, it's beautiful, Joel. What's what's his
- 1:09Speaker 1: or her name? Her name is lions Lion Lion, which
- 1:13Speaker 1: is the name the adoption company. Happens also the name
- 1:15Speaker 1: of my great great grandmother. It's her meat to name um.
- 1:19Speaker 1: So yeah, we kept our the rescue name for our
- 1:24Speaker 1: dog as well, because it was billy and she just
- 1:26Speaker 1: seemed like a billy. Yeah, she's cute, she is a billy.
- 1:30Speaker 1: That's really awesome. I thought you were saying lions like
- 1:33Speaker 1: rebel uh mark the time, first Star Wars reference. Everybody,
- 1:40Speaker 1: Welcome to the show. It's a very funny episode. I
- 1:43Speaker 1: laughed my ass off during this episode. I laughed a
- 1:46Speaker 1: lot too. I'm gonna be honest with the fans though.
- 1:48Speaker 1: I'm glad you liked what Daniel and I did, but
- 1:51Speaker 1: that can't be like all the time, it's all everyone's
- 1:54Speaker 1: talking about. Why can't you bring it the heat again?
- 1:57Speaker 1: Because come on, man, we gotta keep you know, you
- 1:59Speaker 1: give them a little taste, just to taste. Bro. My
- 2:02Speaker 1: whole Instagram feed is every comment is like Donald's rap
- 2:07Speaker 1: was fire, Daniels beat was amazing. What's wrong with you? Bro?
- 2:11Speaker 1: We gotta give the fans what they want. Is this
- 2:15Speaker 1: just because you didn't take the time and write a
- 2:17Speaker 1: good one? I wrote something, I wrote something, but if
- 2:20Speaker 1: it's whack, it's not gonna make the show. I know,
- 2:22Speaker 1: but fucking Daniels beat too. Daniel, you should release that
- 2:25Speaker 1: track so other people can wrap off of it. Do
- 2:28Speaker 1: you feel like Kathy Kennedy in a sense that people
- 2:33Speaker 1: have really, really loved something that you've made, and now
- 2:36Speaker 1: you have to follow it up and build on the hype.
- 2:40Speaker 1: That's a great analogy. I thought you'd be happy about
- 2:44Speaker 1: that analogy. Probably one of the best analogies ever. Now,
- 2:47Speaker 1: is that what your nerves are about? Now? Are you
- 2:49Speaker 1: having a pressure? Yeah? Well, now I put the pressure
- 2:52Speaker 1: on myself. I gotta give the fans what they want, right, Yes,
- 2:54Speaker 1: exactly what they want. Right. Listen, I'm let's get it going.
- 2:58Speaker 1: In we're waiting for William. Where is he? Okay, let
- 3:01Speaker 1: him in? Bill is here? Everybody, Daniel, let him in.
- 3:04Speaker 1: It's under applause, Bill, Lawrence? Who welcome? Who? Bill? You're
- 3:16Speaker 1: in a new environment, Bill, I see. I'm in my
- 3:20Speaker 1: daughter's Charlotte's home, and uh, she is rehearsing in the
- 3:24Speaker 1: background for some gig of hers. But I'm sure she'll
- 3:28Speaker 1: poke her headed and thank you too. She told me
- 3:29Speaker 1: you always play her songs and she's very great. Did
- 3:31Speaker 1: we just played, by the way. We can't stop playing
- 3:34Speaker 1: the last one in this house. It's on all the time.
- 3:37Speaker 1: We work out to it, we try and sing along
- 3:39Speaker 1: to it. It's so good the I'm gonna answer the
- 3:42Speaker 1: same way I answer when people say that your podcast
- 3:46Speaker 1: is so good, even though I have nothing to do
- 3:47Speaker 1: with it, I just go thank you. All right, Well, listen, Bill.
- 3:52Speaker 1: You might not have heard the last episode, but Donald
- 3:55Speaker 1: did a rap version of the of the summary of
- 3:57Speaker 1: the show that was so amazing that it's all everyone's
- 3:59Speaker 1: talking about. And Daniel made a really really cool beat
- 4:02Speaker 1: to it. Really it was fire. Yeah, it was really good,
- 4:09Speaker 1: really good. So um. Much like a showrunner who has
- 4:14Speaker 1: to make his second season really really good after everyone
- 4:17Speaker 1: loves the first, Donald now has to keep his second
- 4:21Speaker 1: dope rap as good as the first. Are you ready? Donald?
- 4:24Speaker 1: Oh man, that's high pressure. High pressure. He gave me
- 4:27Speaker 1: to Kathleen Kennedy jump off like I gotta, I said, picture,
- 4:30Speaker 1: you're Kathleen Kennedy trying to make make another one. All right,
- 4:33Speaker 1: here you go? Ready? All you got this hit it? Daniel? Hey, yo,
- 4:42Speaker 1: you know how the song goes. I can't do this
- 4:44Speaker 1: on my own. Well. JD passes the mike and Elliott
- 4:48Speaker 1: sets the tone, keeping it real. She's more together then
- 4:51Speaker 1: I thought, and TERK and JD. It's the cutest because
- 4:55Speaker 1: they bought two tape recorder, call them made tapes all
- 4:59Speaker 1: and ends all games like it was the fourth quarter.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Bridges get burnt, lessons get learned. For what it's worth,
- 5:05Speaker 1: Dady can't command it in terniffic. It's not for Papa Smurf.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Tell the bills on the show. Let's all dive then, Yo,
- 5:11Speaker 1: here we go. If you don't already, it's time to
- 5:14Speaker 1: act like you know. I hope, like Tony the tie guys,
- 5:17Speaker 1: the show will be great. Yo. Bill hit him with
- 5:20Speaker 1: that seven ain't here some stories about show we made
- 5:27Speaker 1: about a bunch of dots and nurses said, he's the stories.
- 5:33Speaker 1: Never should so gada around you? Here are yeadoo around
- 5:40Speaker 1: you here? M m. That was incredible. Donald, You've really
- 5:48Speaker 1: raised the bar, buddy. When I wrote that. When I
- 5:53Speaker 1: wrote that rap, I never thought you would execute that one.
- 5:56Speaker 1: I'm glad it made the show. I'm glad it made
- 5:58Speaker 1: the show. Bill Phil, Hey, Bill, Well, I'm glad you're
- 6:02Speaker 1: here for this one. It's really funny. I really laughed
- 6:05Speaker 1: a lot about this one. I laughed a lot too.
- 6:08Speaker 1: You know, Sarah does a great job. She does. Yeah,
- 6:12Speaker 1: I know. If I had known earlier, I would have
- 6:14Speaker 1: had a lot more leverage of her Zach back then.
- 6:16Speaker 1: I'm just going like, hey, this can be Sarah's voice over.
- 6:18Speaker 1: It's just like that, dude, you just scared them. Like
- 6:20Speaker 1: to me that all the time, you'd be like, you know,
- 6:22Speaker 1: you can always have a new intern come in that door.
- 6:27Speaker 1: It was such a dick to me. I never said, Donald,
- 6:30Speaker 1: I never said that to you, right, I never said
- 6:32Speaker 1: anything like that. You did. I don't know. That wasn't
- 6:35Speaker 1: that one time where you like Jalil White. No, that
- 6:38Speaker 1: is not true. That is not By the way, Sarah's
- 6:42Speaker 1: we should give her a shout out. Her show is
- 6:45Speaker 1: number one on Netflix. Fire Everybody check out fire That's
- 6:51Speaker 1: what it's called, right, Joel. Firefly Lane. Everybody check out
- 6:54Speaker 1: Sarah's show. It's really really popular. It's called if it's
- 6:57Speaker 1: Firefly and Bugs, Firefly and Bugs or something something called
- 7:01Speaker 1: buyer Fly Blaine to Blaine and we all know to
- 7:05Speaker 1: Blaine fire Fly Lane. The kids seemed to love it.
- 7:11Speaker 1: I'm so happy for her, Man, she's so big Man. Um, yeah,
- 7:14Speaker 1: me too. And anyway, you're right, Donald, she did such
- 7:16Speaker 1: a funny job with this voice over. And I don't know,
- 7:20Speaker 1: the episode just had me you know some, you know
- 7:21Speaker 1: some you laugh at more than others. By the way, Bill,
- 7:24Speaker 1: what's the common story? I know? Was he dating the
- 7:27Speaker 1: writer of this episode, Angela missile? Because why is common angel?
- 7:31Speaker 1: It wasn't famous yet, right, No, comment wasn't wow, no,
- 7:34Speaker 1: but he wasn't huge. Yes, he was very He was
- 7:37Speaker 1: very established though in you know, hip hop and rap community.
- 7:40Speaker 1: And yes, Angela his friends with him and had known
- 7:43Speaker 1: him and said, my friend Comin can do this, but
- 7:46Speaker 1: I forgot about it. And you know, me being me,
- 7:48Speaker 1: I didn't know who common was back then, and occasionally
- 7:50Speaker 1: when I go back and see the show, I'm like,
- 7:51Speaker 1: wait a second, it was very cool. Yeah. Caught me
- 7:55Speaker 1: off guard because I I like, we just had to
- 7:57Speaker 1: carry brothers one and I was like, oh, yeah, I
- 7:59Speaker 1: remember carried to the show. And then I like, is
- 8:01Speaker 1: that commonly? No doubt? No doubt. And then immediately following that,
- 8:07Speaker 1: they do Snoop and Dre's still dre Her and Molly
- 8:10Speaker 1: Elliott and Molly still dre which is uh and and
- 8:14Speaker 1: and Turk doesn't know? This pissed me off. I was
- 8:19Speaker 1: I was gonna say, it was it hard for you
- 8:21Speaker 1: to act like you didn't understand the rep for the joke.
- 8:24Speaker 1: It's really funny because in the African American community, mal
- 8:27Speaker 1: nourishment is that's hilarious and ho hoes that shit had
- 8:30Speaker 1: me rolling that ship was that was very funny. But
- 8:34Speaker 1: it hurt my heart to be like, how do I
- 8:36Speaker 1: not know still hitting them corners in them lolos? Girl?
- 8:39Speaker 1: You know what I mean, like the his I know
- 8:41Speaker 1: the history of the song, like that song comes from,
- 8:45Speaker 1: Like jay Z wrote the song, wrote everything for that
- 8:49Speaker 1: for Doctor Dre even wrote Snoop's line, still uh, still
- 8:55Speaker 1: representing all across the world, still hitting them corners in
- 8:58Speaker 1: the lolo's girl. Jay Z wrote all of it, put
- 9:01Speaker 1: it on tape, sent it to Dre and they did
- 9:04Speaker 1: the song. And when I saw when that came to
- 9:07Speaker 1: me and it was my turn to to spew my
- 9:12Speaker 1: hip hop knowledge on scrubs back then, it hurt my heart.
- 9:17Speaker 1: It was it was like when it was like when
- 9:19Speaker 1: jad went to Disneyland without Turk, they got a roller coast,
- 9:24Speaker 1: roller Coast and the duck. By the way, it's probably
- 9:28Speaker 1: the one time you have a gleam in your eye
- 9:29Speaker 1: as an actor that you're trying to tell the audience
- 9:32Speaker 1: that this is not You're literally like they're trying to
- 9:34Speaker 1: signal this is not me. I know what this means.
- 9:39Speaker 1: This is for the sake of the show. It's very funny. Donald.
- 9:44Speaker 1: That was probably your best acting moment in nine years
- 9:46Speaker 1: that you had to act like you didn't know the
- 9:48Speaker 1: interpretation of the song. I love that moment. And I'll
- 9:52Speaker 1: tell you, guys something else that I love. Even before
- 9:55Speaker 1: we get there, you guys knew that we used to
- 9:57Speaker 1: steal stuff from your lives and put it in the show.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Our good friend Matt Tarsa's native mistake of coming into
- 10:03Speaker 1: work and saying that his wife I think she was pregnant,
- 10:08Speaker 1: kept getting mad at him, say have hardwood floors, and
- 10:11Speaker 1: she would go to bed early because she was so tired.
- 10:13Speaker 1: When he'd come in, he would squeak on floors and waker.
- 10:16Speaker 1: So she started making him go to bed at the
- 10:18Speaker 1: same time as her. And I was like, you have
- 10:20Speaker 1: a bedtime. You're in your you're you're this old, you're
- 10:23Speaker 1: an adult male, and your wife gave you a bedtime,
- 10:26Speaker 1: And that that became this episode. So it makes me
- 10:28Speaker 1: so happy. I feel like that that sequences, Both of
- 10:32Speaker 1: those sequences are laugh out loud, funny. Donald, you were
- 10:35Speaker 1: so funny in both times. I feel like, by the way,
- 10:38Speaker 1: also you up now, you up now, firm is all time.
- 10:44Speaker 1: I feel like this is I feel like this is
- 10:47Speaker 1: my life though, Turk and Carla, this is how my
- 10:50Speaker 1: life is now. Listen, I'm gonna be honest with you, guys.
- 10:54Speaker 1: I don't sleep in the same room as my wife
- 10:57Speaker 1: anymore because I'm a I'm not a light sleeper. I mean,
- 11:01Speaker 1: I mean, I'm not a heavy sleeper. I'm a very
- 11:03Speaker 1: light sleeper, and so is she. But I toss in
- 11:06Speaker 1: turn like crazy in my like I twitch like I
- 11:09Speaker 1: for some reason, I twitch and so I and I
- 11:11Speaker 1: wake up, and when I wake up, I have a
- 11:13Speaker 1: hard time going back to sleep and stuff. My wife
- 11:17Speaker 1: can sleep if there's no movement or sound in the room.
- 11:22Speaker 1: So I am no longer allowed to sleep. She kicked
- 11:24Speaker 1: you out of the room. I'm done. Yes, I'm done.
- 11:26Speaker 1: You have your own bedroom. It's called sofa city. Baby.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Oh my god, it's like it's like those sitcom couples
- 11:34Speaker 1: back in the in the in the fifties that had
- 11:37Speaker 1: had separate beds right next to each other. I can't
- 11:39Speaker 1: live I can't be in the same room as how
- 11:40Speaker 1: You're not allowed. I'm not allowed, not even stuff's coming
- 11:44Speaker 1: your ways. Act I uh my wife a little, but no,
- 11:50Speaker 1: my wife got me. She felt that my snoring kept
- 11:54Speaker 1: her awake. And I'm not gonna talk about whether or
- 11:57Speaker 1: not she does anything in her sleep because I would
- 11:58Speaker 1: also be mass and for me. Um. And so the
- 12:02Speaker 1: way to fix it was I got this you know
- 12:04Speaker 1: mouth guard that you put in around your teeth that
- 12:06Speaker 1: kind of judged your bottom jaw out here. It's like
- 12:08Speaker 1: sleeping with somebody else's hand in your mouth. It's great because,
- 12:13Speaker 1: like like somebody else just clutching your bottom jaw with
- 12:16Speaker 1: her fingers. I sleep with that too. Does yours work
- 12:21Speaker 1: for you? Uh? You know what, Zach? Yeah, but then
- 12:24Speaker 1: olivery once in a while, you know, just go. I
- 12:26Speaker 1: don't know if I want to wake up with an
- 12:28Speaker 1: intense headache from jaw pain tomorrow, and I will occasionally
- 12:33Speaker 1: sleep downstairs because of it, and uh, and my wife
- 12:35Speaker 1: would be like, why didn't you come up here? I'm like,
- 12:37Speaker 1: I don't know. I didn't want to wear that cast
- 12:39Speaker 1: iron jaw trap, but I have to wear to sleep
- 12:41Speaker 1: in the same room as you. I love in your version,
- 12:44Speaker 1: like you're like I did. I wasn't even fitted for it.
- 12:46Speaker 1: I think Christy just somehow when I was asleep, I
- 12:49Speaker 1: woke up and it was there. She she just showed up.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Like sometimes i'll leave stuff in Like I'll accidentally leave
- 12:57Speaker 1: something in the bedroom and I'll come up and get it,
- 13:01Speaker 1: and if I make sound, she wakes up and she's like, mother, fuck,
- 13:04Speaker 1: are you know better than this? You know what you're Yeah.
- 13:09Speaker 1: So also we also have I'm a hot house flow.
- 13:12Speaker 1: I run very hot, you know. So I don't like
- 13:14Speaker 1: to call Christa constantly. Guys, every book says you should
- 13:17Speaker 1: sleep at sixty eight degrees, and I'm I like to
- 13:20Speaker 1: sleep with a temperature around eighty or eighty three degrees,
- 13:23Speaker 1: and so U like the other night it was such
- 13:26Speaker 1: a bad move. But she's like, I want you to
- 13:28Speaker 1: sleep up here tonight. I'm like, okay, And she was
- 13:29Speaker 1: already asleep, but it was fifty one degrees outside, and
- 13:33Speaker 1: she left all the windows open in the bedroom, and
- 13:37Speaker 1: so I knew I was supposed to sleep there. And
- 13:38Speaker 1: I'm trying to get that she's asleep, and I'm trying
- 13:40Speaker 1: to close the windows like a mill a millimeter every
- 13:44Speaker 1: five seconds, so it would just be like she woke
- 13:52Speaker 1: up with a last witch, what are you doing? I'm like,
- 13:54Speaker 1: it's so cold, it's so cold. I got scared of
- 14:00Speaker 1: Christa as you told that story. There's nothing like the
- 14:05Speaker 1: wrath of your wife if she doesn't get to sleep,
- 14:07Speaker 1: she wants man. No, man, it's not worth it if
- 14:09Speaker 1: they because if she didn't get sleep and you pay
- 14:11Speaker 1: for it for like two days, it's not it really is.
- 14:14Speaker 1: I'm sorry to be um so simple as to find
- 14:17Speaker 1: fart jokes so funny, but that when you come in
- 14:20Speaker 1: and you fart, and then Judy's like, come on, turk,
- 14:22Speaker 1: and he's like, are you up, and she's like, yeah, firm.
- 14:29Speaker 1: That was respectful. I found that one. And then all times,
- 14:34Speaker 1: all times, she's still bitching at you and she look
- 14:37Speaker 1: over and you're sleeping. All right. He was gonna hold it,
- 14:45Speaker 1: he would. He was willing to hold it if she
- 14:47Speaker 1: was like, well, no, actually I'm going back to sleep
- 14:49Speaker 1: right now. Yeah, I'm pretty, I'm pretty I'm almost asleep. Mad. Alright, alright, um,
- 14:54Speaker 1: let's go to the top of the show. I laughed
- 14:56Speaker 1: right when Donald slides in on the counter with his
- 15:00Speaker 1: with his tape recorder. Very funny. It was a very
- 15:03Speaker 1: funny slide in, sir, Thank you very much. I love
- 15:07Speaker 1: I love the fact that j D and Turk both
- 15:10Speaker 1: got tape recorders so that they could commune where did
- 15:12Speaker 1: that did come from? They could pre tape conversations. It's
- 15:17Speaker 1: very you know, we've gotten to a point that if
- 15:19Speaker 1: we could come up with anything it made you guys
- 15:24Speaker 1: seem even remotely more codependent. We did it. Well. If
- 15:29Speaker 1: it says anything about Donald and I'm like, oh, that
- 15:31Speaker 1: would have been so much fun. We should have really
- 15:32Speaker 1: got I tried to match dialogue. Well, dude, you're the
- 15:38Speaker 1: one that wants a freaking sample machine. Have you heard this, Bill? No,
- 15:43Speaker 1: it's been ordered about Fake Doctor's Real Friends is going
- 15:47Speaker 1: to have a new segment soon and it's uh Zach
- 15:50Speaker 1: and his freaking uh. I guess you could call it
- 15:53Speaker 1: a keyboard. It's a sample pad. Oh yeah, there you go. Sure, Bill,
- 15:57Speaker 1: I'm just gonna do what they what what a freend
- 15:59Speaker 1: does on the Howard Stern Show. I'm gonna have some
- 16:01Speaker 1: some key sound effects that I'm gonna be allowed to add.
- 16:04Speaker 1: And Donald says, as long as they don't abuse it,
- 16:06Speaker 1: he's willing to give it a try. Yeah, but you're
- 16:09Speaker 1: gonna abuse it a meetia to be bad. Know what
- 16:12Speaker 1: if I'm allowed like four sound effects a show, it's
- 16:16Speaker 1: not gonna work. You're gonna You're gonna use them all
- 16:18Speaker 1: in the first five minutes, and then you're gonna be
- 16:20Speaker 1: sulky the rest of the show, and the show's gonna stay. Well,
- 16:25Speaker 1: before you poop poo it, we're gonna try it. I'm
- 16:27Speaker 1: very excited by the way, you know, by the way,
- 16:29Speaker 1: you know, if you had it already, you would say
- 16:31Speaker 1: it before you poop poo it could already already be
- 16:36Speaker 1: dealing with that. I promise that I will not have
- 16:39Speaker 1: fart noise as one of my sound effects. I am
- 16:42Speaker 1: gonna have a big bong pole for when Donald says
- 16:44Speaker 1: something so random and stonery, you're gonna hear a big
- 16:46Speaker 1: bong pole. I'll record that one myself. That's gonna be Yeah,
- 16:51Speaker 1: Daniel's gonna record the sample perfect. I like that one.
- 16:54Speaker 1: We should do. We should do just like a bunch
- 16:56Speaker 1: of different sounds when it comes to marijuana. Then huh, yeah,
- 16:59Speaker 1: if you wouldn't mind recording all of the folly, yeah, no,
- 17:03Speaker 1: I have no problem helping out in that. Okay, um,
- 17:06Speaker 1: let's talk about how um I try having a parrot
- 17:13Speaker 1: and the parrot the parrot. The parrot in the fantasy
- 17:17Speaker 1: tells the patient he has liver disease. Parrot, right, and
- 17:23Speaker 1: I know, actually you have inoperable cancer. Don't listen to him.
- 17:27Speaker 1: And then I go, if only Chauncey the parrot has
- 17:32Speaker 1: been named the Chauncey you also, by the way, I
- 17:36Speaker 1: don't understand how the parrot misdiagnoses people all the time.
- 17:40Speaker 1: I mean, it just it peers that you only taught
- 17:41Speaker 1: it liver disease. Yeah, it only knows liver disease. We
- 17:45Speaker 1: had neighbors across the street m who had a lot
- 17:49Speaker 1: of animals and one of them was a parrot, And
- 17:52Speaker 1: because there were lots of kids, state were going Mom, Mom,
- 17:55Speaker 1: so I'm not lying to you, So don't get a
- 17:57Speaker 1: parrot unless you want to hear mom. Dude, you high
- 18:01Speaker 1: five snoop dog in turn it immediately would you walk
- 18:03Speaker 1: into the hospital. Yeah, I'm feeling myself. Yeah, you're feeling good. Yeah, yeah,
- 18:10Speaker 1: it got a little pepp in his step. What about
- 18:12Speaker 1: when they come back from seeing common Sarah, Sarah has
- 18:15Speaker 1: what are there that dread Sarah has or what is that? Twists?
- 18:19Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I don't know what you call it. It
- 18:24Speaker 1: was like it was definitely a white girl dread of
- 18:27Speaker 1: Like here's like a lot of hard gel in my hair.
- 18:30Speaker 1: I wouldn't call them actual jet there were twists. Is
- 18:34Speaker 1: this the first frick on a stick from Sarah? Well,
- 18:38Speaker 1: I just definitely frick on a stick with a brick. Yeah,
- 18:40Speaker 1: she says both frick on a stick and frick on
- 18:42Speaker 1: a stick with the brick. Yeah. I mean we started
- 18:44Speaker 1: adding words to it eventually, But did she do frick
- 18:47Speaker 1: in real life? You know, where did that come from?
- 18:50Speaker 1: I think that was just your your your you guys
- 18:51Speaker 1: were tiptoeing around fuck right. Yeah. Also, we thought it
- 18:55Speaker 1: was her character, but I can't remember if she said
- 18:57Speaker 1: that the goofy words for that stuff like peeper's or
- 19:00Speaker 1: bijingo or any of that stuff. In real life. It
- 19:02Speaker 1: feels like Sarah would be the type of person that
- 19:04Speaker 1: would say bijingo, bajingo over there, bajingo over here. She says,
- 19:12Speaker 1: Mike's got a curved peep in her feet. That's what Heather,
- 19:16Speaker 1: That's what Heather confided in in in elliott A Molly
- 19:20Speaker 1: confided in an Elliott that her boyfriend has a curved peep.
- 19:24Speaker 1: The Heather totally going to get off that topic. The
- 19:28Speaker 1: Heather totally acclimated and was like cool with the cast
- 19:32Speaker 1: from the start, right, you guys all got along with
- 19:33Speaker 1: her because I remember at one point she was even
- 19:35Speaker 1: at she was at Donald's place or something like that
- 19:37Speaker 1: for a poker game or something. I didn't you do
- 19:39Speaker 1: like Texas holding one night at your play. Yeah, dude,
- 19:41Speaker 1: Heather was so great, Like we had a we had
- 19:44Speaker 1: a really like it's still all love when we see
- 19:47Speaker 1: her now, you know, from my experience hanging out with her,
- 19:50Speaker 1: it was always all good. Like if I see her
- 19:53Speaker 1: out and about, you know, we can laugh and talk
- 19:57Speaker 1: shit a little bit and then keep it move. But yeah,
- 20:01Speaker 1: she was great when we were She was really cool.
- 20:03Speaker 1: And you know what, Bill, watching these back, it's it's
- 20:06Speaker 1: really she's very funny. I mean, you wrote you wrote
- 20:09Speaker 1: such a fun character for her to play, and I
- 20:11Speaker 1: didn't remember, you know, just the dynamic between her and
- 20:15Speaker 1: Sarah is really funny. It was that why you designed
- 20:18Speaker 1: that character as a as a friend for Sarah. Yes,
- 20:22Speaker 1: a little bit, but you know, it's really interesting, man,
- 20:24Speaker 1: you want to go back to something else because it
- 20:26Speaker 1: is something that I've often thought about. So, you know,
- 20:32Speaker 1: I didn't know Heather as a human being that well,
- 20:36Speaker 1: you know, I just knew her from movies and stuff
- 20:38Speaker 1: like that. And then when she came in she was
- 20:39Speaker 1: going to do this, we actually talked to her a
- 20:42Speaker 1: bunch and got to know her, and then you know,
- 20:45Speaker 1: kind of wrote a character that, if you guys know
- 20:47Speaker 1: Heather in real life, felt like maybe an exaggerated version
- 20:52Speaker 1: of her real vibe, you know what I mean, super positive.
- 20:55Speaker 1: She said that Bill when she was on the podcast.
- 20:57Speaker 1: She's like, funnily enough, there's lots of me in this
- 21:00Speaker 1: character that you know. So it's interesting to hear your
- 21:02Speaker 1: take on that. Well, what's interesting is like so so
- 21:05Speaker 1: many asking you guys, like so many actors and actresses
- 21:08Speaker 1: when you hear them talking about the craft love disappearing
- 21:10Speaker 1: into someone else. And as a TV writer, you know
- 21:14Speaker 1: where you want instant chemistry. You want to be able
- 21:18Speaker 1: to write someone's voice week to week really quickly, especially
- 21:21Speaker 1: someone that's just joined in the show as a guest character.
- 21:23Speaker 1: You want to get them to play an exaggerated version
- 21:28Speaker 1: of themselves, you know, and I could never sense if
- 21:31Speaker 1: actors and actresses hate that, you know, and feel like
- 21:34Speaker 1: that's not what acting is, or if they dig on
- 21:35Speaker 1: it because it feels like they get ownership of the character,
- 21:38Speaker 1: you know what I mean. It's like, look on our show.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Eventually you two are both doing jokes that you would
- 21:43Speaker 1: do in real life. I feel like you just don't
- 21:45Speaker 1: want actors love that doing it occasionally. You just don't
- 21:48Speaker 1: want to always be asked to play a version of yourself,
- 21:50Speaker 1: you know, but on occasion to yeah, I mean obviously
- 21:54Speaker 1: JD is just a is a very cartoonish example of
- 21:58Speaker 1: if I am and I'm sure is with Donald. I mean,
- 22:01Speaker 1: it's I always say to people, it's like turning my
- 22:03Speaker 1: personality and then just turning all the knobs up to eleven,
- 22:06Speaker 1: because it's just an extreme version of of who I am.
- 22:09Speaker 1: And and the fun part about playing that is that
- 22:12Speaker 1: that your improvs are always going to be in the
- 22:14Speaker 1: spirit of the character because they're coming out of who
- 22:16Speaker 1: you are, you know what I mean. I love it.
- 22:18Speaker 1: The only thing that's dangerous is what comes after and
- 22:22Speaker 1: what people like you have to create, Like then you
- 22:28Speaker 1: have to fight the battle of Okay, I'm not just
- 22:31Speaker 1: that character, and that becomes a challenge, and that's part
- 22:35Speaker 1: of the journey, you know what I mean. Like so
- 22:38Speaker 1: being Turk for nine seasons, I know it works when
- 22:43Speaker 1: if if if I need to tell a joke, I
- 22:45Speaker 1: could fall into the Turk thing real easy, and I know,
- 22:49Speaker 1: I know there's an audience for that thing, and it'll
- 22:51Speaker 1: it'll it'll work. Yeah. The challenge now is not doing
- 22:56Speaker 1: that because it became a habit. We did it for
- 22:59Speaker 1: so long, you know, and it's it's fun. It's also
- 23:04Speaker 1: it also becomes you know, acting becomes a craft again,
- 23:08Speaker 1: and it becomes an art form again. And you also
- 23:11Speaker 1: hear no a lot now because of it. But it
- 23:14Speaker 1: was what you were hearing before anyway, before you got
- 23:17Speaker 1: your gig, so you're kind of used to it already.
- 23:20Speaker 1: But it's it's great when someone gives you a chance
- 23:23Speaker 1: to show that you can do something different. And I've
- 23:28Speaker 1: been very lucky since Scrubs to play other characters that
- 23:32Speaker 1: are you know, you're you're You're always going to find
- 23:35Speaker 1: a little bit of somebody in that in a character
- 23:37Speaker 1: like Matthew McConaughey, I don't care who you are, you
- 23:40Speaker 1: find him in all of the characters he plays. I'm
- 23:43Speaker 1: sure there's a piece of him, That's what I mean.
- 23:45Speaker 1: And I find that I find that to be a
- 23:48Speaker 1: positive Donald you know, so I do too, because I
- 23:51Speaker 1: see sometimes like he's a great example of somebody that
- 23:54Speaker 1: didn't run away from it. Sometimes I get bummed out
- 23:57Speaker 1: when an actor actress who I love of doing and
- 24:01Speaker 1: in different parts arguably you know, doing what works for them.
- 24:06Speaker 1: You know, something that's in their kind of wheelhouse, even
- 24:09Speaker 1: if it's different and more nuanced, you know, or the
- 24:11Speaker 1: characters doing something different. You guys both know that the
- 24:14Speaker 1: acting is littered with people that then go, I've done
- 24:18Speaker 1: that thing too much, and so I'm never going to
- 24:20Speaker 1: do that thing that I that people love to watch
- 24:23Speaker 1: me do ever again. You know, it drives me crazy
- 24:25Speaker 1: a little bit. You can't. You can't do that to
- 24:27Speaker 1: yourself unless you're a chameleon, unless you're freaking Daniel day Lewis,
- 24:30Speaker 1: and you can freaking like that's a one percent thing,
- 24:34Speaker 1: you know what I mean. Like Tom Cruise does Tom
- 24:36Speaker 1: Cruise movies, Will Smith does, Will Smith. A lot of
- 24:38Speaker 1: the biggest movie stars, even if you go back to
- 24:40Speaker 1: like the golden age of like you know, Bogarten and Bcall.
- 24:44Speaker 1: They were they were they were playing Bogarten Bocall. You
- 24:48Speaker 1: know it's it's It's boy. I mean that as a compliment.
- 24:51Speaker 1: I will love it, you know what I mean. I
- 24:53Speaker 1: I used to love John Cusack being John Cusack and
- 24:56Speaker 1: all those movies, you know, of the say anythings in
- 24:59Speaker 1: the Better Off deads and stuff they were under They're
- 25:03Speaker 1: all they were all different characters. But that kind of
- 25:05Speaker 1: quick talking, self deprecating thing I lived for. Man, it
- 25:08Speaker 1: was so funny. My two dollars. I can't believe we
- 25:12Speaker 1: have never discussed Better Off Dead. It's one of my favorites. Sorry, Kenny,
- 25:16Speaker 1: don't have a dime, didn't ask for a dime. The
- 25:21Speaker 1: tone of that movie was so specific and different. Remember
- 25:25Speaker 1: it really stood out. It was sorry, your mom's face
- 25:28Speaker 1: blew up. I believe. I believe Barney Rubble asked him
- 25:34Speaker 1: if he could ask his girlfriend out. Yeah, yeah, he
- 25:36Speaker 1: did at one point, and so did teacher. Did their teacher?
- 25:41Speaker 1: Did the teacher? So did the teacher? Um, all right,
- 25:43Speaker 1: we're gonna go a break and we'll be right back
- 25:45Speaker 1: with Edward. All right. I love how I tape recorded
- 25:58Speaker 1: my Yeah, but it was accidental. You were in the
- 26:03Speaker 1: middle of doing your your speech when you slipped on
- 26:07Speaker 1: the webb. I know, but I love how I'm playing
- 26:08Speaker 1: it back for for Cox and it's on there. I fell.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Have we ever gone back? Have we ever gone back
- 26:17Speaker 1: and Zach and really taken stock of how many non
- 26:21Speaker 1: Zach bratholes were in there? Do you know? There's occasional
- 26:25Speaker 1: times that we put them in post and just never
- 26:27Speaker 1: had you correct them. It was you. It was always
- 26:30Speaker 1: met Yeah, yeah, it was it was always There's at
- 26:35Speaker 1: least two. There was one episode where Bill, I don't
- 26:38Speaker 1: know if we've told this anecdote before, but Bill calls
- 26:41Speaker 1: me in the editorial and he goes, watched the sequence,
- 26:43Speaker 1: if you notice anything, and I watched it. I don't
- 26:46Speaker 1: know what. He goes, You don't notice anything. I don't know.
- 26:49Speaker 1: He goes, Yeah, I needed a shot of you walking
- 26:51Speaker 1: down the hall, and we never got it, so I
- 26:53Speaker 1: just pulled it from another episode. You're in completely different scrubs,
- 26:56Speaker 1: but I don't think anyone's gonna notice the different colors.
- 27:00Speaker 1: There was light light blue versus dark blue. Yeah. By
- 27:03Speaker 1: the way, the best thing was the editors on scrubs,
- 27:08Speaker 1: you know, because I made so many bad edits to
- 27:11Speaker 1: because you had the time constraint that you had to
- 27:13Speaker 1: hit and they used to keep a jar of I
- 27:16Speaker 1: had to put money in when I forced them to
- 27:17Speaker 1: do really bad edits. And then you know, we'd go
- 27:19Speaker 1: out and drink some beers at the end of the year,
- 27:21Speaker 1: and they thought that was the worst one ever. And
- 27:24Speaker 1: I said, why don't you guys bring all the editors
- 27:26Speaker 1: assistance in here and if any of them spots the mistake,
- 27:29Speaker 1: I'll put in like a hundred bucks into that stupid job.
- 27:32Speaker 1: Nobody noticed that. No, they all came in and there's
- 27:34Speaker 1: such nerds. They were like, oh, when JD leaves the room,
- 27:38Speaker 1: he's leading with his left foot, and then in the
- 27:39Speaker 1: hallway he lands on his right foot. The two editors
- 27:42Speaker 1: were getting madder, and Madden like the pen, the pen
- 27:45Speaker 1: in his hand is it? And I'm finally like, no,
- 27:47Speaker 1: he's wearing a different shirt, you idiot. It's a completely
- 27:50Speaker 1: different color. I know. And I remember I would get
- 27:54Speaker 1: into the to ADR. That's when we you know, I
- 27:58Speaker 1: would do the vos and we any dialogue that US replacement,
- 28:01Speaker 1: and there'd be like they'd be like a call for
- 28:05Speaker 1: and I'm like don't we guys have just a file
- 28:07Speaker 1: of why am I still recording? We should have had
- 28:14Speaker 1: different castmomers coming to it. Yeah, oh yeah, I would
- 28:17Speaker 1: be great too. I would love to come into donald
- 28:22Speaker 1: Much like Snowflakes, no two are the same, right, It's
- 28:26Speaker 1: never the same. Sometimes the pitch is different. You guys
- 28:28Speaker 1: see that they're putting m scrubs up on Disney Plus.
- 28:32Speaker 1: Now moving forward? Do you guys catch that and that
- 28:34Speaker 1: was different idea? Yeah, that was I saw that. That's
- 28:37Speaker 1: very exciting that. Here's here's a question that the fans
- 28:40Speaker 1: want to know though. Does that open up because it's
- 28:44Speaker 1: on Disney Plus? Now? Does that open up a limited
- 28:47Speaker 1: series on Disney Plus as well? There's a couple of
- 28:51Speaker 1: things out there, man. One is the first thing I'm
- 28:54Speaker 1: trying to have it open up is I want to um,
- 28:56Speaker 1: I want to restore the original music as much as
- 28:59Speaker 1: we can into the first four seasons, you know. So
- 29:02Speaker 1: I'm trying really hard, and the people at Disney seemed
- 29:05Speaker 1: to be being, you know, helpful of trying to figure
- 29:07Speaker 1: out how to get That's amazing, Bill, because Bill, that
- 29:09Speaker 1: would be so cool, because that's like one of the
- 29:10Speaker 1: most common things we always hear from fans is I'll
- 29:14Speaker 1: be like, you know, over the years, when Scrubs moved
- 29:16Speaker 1: around to different services, they'll be like, oh, now it's
- 29:18Speaker 1: on this one. Now it's on this one. People were
- 29:20Speaker 1: like with the original music, with the original music, it
- 29:23Speaker 1: is the original music. After season four, it's just the
- 29:26Speaker 1: licensing deals in the first four didn't you know they
- 29:28Speaker 1: want streaming and perpetuity and so I didn't know that seven,
- 29:31Speaker 1: eight and nine, Yeah, and the first four it just
- 29:35Speaker 1: it got muddled. Um. And then I also want to
- 29:38Speaker 1: try and figure out how to get remastered, you know
- 29:40Speaker 1: what I mean, because it doesn't you know, we were
- 29:43Speaker 1: shooting high deaf, but we weren't. We were shooting sixteen
- 29:46Speaker 1: millimeter film, but we didn't. We didn't scan it to
- 29:48Speaker 1: be HD sixteen by nine, right, that would be that
- 29:52Speaker 1: would be obesome. If someone did that, that's probably gonna
- 29:54Speaker 1: cost them some money, but they should spend it. I'm
- 29:56Speaker 1: gonna I'm gonna try and look at we only protected
- 29:58Speaker 1: for four like the four by three ratio, you know,
- 30:01Speaker 1: so there'll be some stuff in the shots that won't
- 30:02Speaker 1: make me happy, but uh, we'll have to see. Well,
- 30:06Speaker 1: I'm sure if you go back to the I mean
- 30:08Speaker 1: the negative is somewhere. I mean, you can go back
- 30:11Speaker 1: and I don't know that sounds like a good giant.
- 30:14Speaker 1: People always ask, too, I do. I do know that
- 30:16Speaker 1: a lot of there will be some frames in some
- 30:18Speaker 1: of these shots, though. I do know that that'll be
- 30:21Speaker 1: because I know Inwood John Nwood used to cut it
- 30:25Speaker 1: like almost to the lines. Yeah, man, we used to
- 30:27Speaker 1: have we used to have flags. We're trying to go
- 30:29Speaker 1: so fast, you'd have you know, I'd have to blow
- 30:31Speaker 1: it up in editing just to get the flag out
- 30:33Speaker 1: of the shot. You know, Well, that'd be cool to
- 30:36Speaker 1: um to have it um be truly sixteen by nine
- 30:40Speaker 1: and um and uh and uh and and look not
- 30:44Speaker 1: four by three. That would be awesome. And yeah, look Donald.
- 30:47Speaker 1: The thing about I think, well, you know, it would
- 30:49Speaker 1: be fun to revisit Scrubs someday on a limited thing
- 30:52Speaker 1: with everybody. But I think we're gone. That's too. Oh
- 30:58Speaker 1: my god. That's part when people ask me. There's two things.
- 31:07Speaker 1: One is I want to you know, I don't work
- 31:08Speaker 1: at Disney right now. I work at a Warner Brothers
- 31:11Speaker 1: Time Warners, So like, legally I wouldn't be allowed to
- 31:13Speaker 1: work on it, So that's always been a bummer for me.
- 31:16Speaker 1: But the other Yeah, the other one is um, but
- 31:19Speaker 1: I will be eventually, you know, And then the other
- 31:21Speaker 1: one is in a good way. We all still talk
- 31:23Speaker 1: and hang out, and to me, it's the thing that
- 31:25Speaker 1: you do when you know, when you don't get to
- 31:27Speaker 1: be around each other anymore, because that's really the only
- 31:29Speaker 1: reason to do that is to get to kind of
- 31:32Speaker 1: spend time with each other, you know, especially if we
- 31:34Speaker 1: if we find ourselves in a life where we've all
- 31:36Speaker 1: drifted apart a little, you know, well, I think it
- 31:38Speaker 1: would be fun. Um Bill. I know you have the
- 31:41Speaker 1: conundrum of being a Warner Brothers writer and this is
- 31:45Speaker 1: a Disney show, but if that were figure out aable,
- 31:47Speaker 1: it would be it would be a lot of fun.
- 31:48Speaker 1: We're obviously can't do it without you there. That it
- 31:51Speaker 1: doesn't make sense. It's a rap if you're not there. Well,
- 31:54Speaker 1: you know what the they we just figured it out
- 31:55Speaker 1: with another thing because Chris and Phil really wanted to
- 31:58Speaker 1: do quone High again and that's half and that was
- 32:00Speaker 1: really interesting to me that we were able to figure
- 32:02Speaker 1: it out so well. I hope that Gandhi's going to
- 32:05Speaker 1: be heavily featured Gandhi is uh you know that's that's uh,
- 32:10Speaker 1: that's I think Gandhi was for the reason that show
- 32:12Speaker 1: got Sorry I messed up. Who's who are you? Donald?
- 32:15Speaker 1: I'm too Jonah VARs blind John John J explained, and
- 32:20Speaker 1: I think you were more importantly, uh and Amantha more
- 32:23Speaker 1: fic peanut that George Washington Carver created. Yeah, George Washington Carvers, Yeah, yeah,
- 32:28Speaker 1: there's the peanut. That's right. There was a lot of
- 32:31Speaker 1: people on that show I did. I did a lot
- 32:33Speaker 1: of message on Clone High. That was a lot of
- 32:35Speaker 1: fun to work those guys. I want to be honest
- 32:38Speaker 1: with you. I'd love to work with those guys again.
- 32:40Speaker 1: When they were doing solo, I was like, come on, man,
- 32:43Speaker 1: look a brother, there's their solo. Would have been funny.
- 32:46Speaker 1: I'm telling you. I did not love to see it.
- 32:50Speaker 1: The stuff of it. It was a shot, man. I
- 32:52Speaker 1: think that you guys, there's a whole movie. There's a
- 32:54Speaker 1: whole movie. I know it for a fact. I know
- 32:56Speaker 1: for a fact there's a whole I know for a
- 32:58Speaker 1: fact there's a whole movie. We'll never see it. We'll
- 33:01Speaker 1: never see it. We'll never see that, we'll never see
- 33:06Speaker 1: Garren Edwards rogue one will never see these movies. We'll
- 33:09Speaker 1: never see these movies. It's not like the Snyder cut.
- 33:12Speaker 1: You can't do. I mean unless and less and sorry
- 33:15Speaker 1: to get all nerdy on you, unless this alternate universe
- 33:18Speaker 1: rumor that's circulating throughout Star Wars is true. Uh, then
- 33:23Speaker 1: maybe we could see all of these things. Like for
- 33:26Speaker 1: there's an alternate for the fans listening and for those
- 33:29Speaker 1: who don't give a crap, I'm sorry, but here's your
- 33:32Speaker 1: Star Wars rent. There's a rumor circulating that, uh, that
- 33:36Speaker 1: there there's a multiverse in the Star Wars universe and
- 33:40Speaker 1: that the last three movies that came out were on
- 33:44Speaker 1: a different timeline than the Mandalorian. That's the rumor that's circulating.
- 33:49Speaker 1: Do I know if it's true or not, I don't know,
- 33:51Speaker 1: but that's the rumor that's circulating, putting it out there. Okay,
- 33:56Speaker 1: Well that's exciting. And it all has to do I'm sorry,
- 33:59Speaker 1: one last thing, and it all has to do with Asokatano.
- 34:02Speaker 1: Asokatano is supposed and I'll tell you how it this is.
- 34:06Speaker 1: This is where everybody is certain why it's all Asokatano
- 34:11Speaker 1: talks to Ray at the end of the let Me
- 34:14Speaker 1: Finish It, talks to spoiler alert talks to Ray at
- 34:17Speaker 1: the end of Rise of Skywalker. Right with all of
- 34:20Speaker 1: these dead ghosts. Now, if this is positive, if she's
- 34:24Speaker 1: doing this, that means Asoka herself is dead. And the
- 34:29Speaker 1: rebels show there was this bridge that the star of
- 34:36Speaker 1: the show goes to where he literally can affect time
- 34:40Speaker 1: and he saves Asoka. So they're saying now that there
- 34:44Speaker 1: are two timelines, one where Asoka dies the Rise of
- 34:48Speaker 1: Skywalker and then one where she lives the Mandalorian. Just
- 34:54Speaker 1: putting it out there, Bill, this is what I drew
- 34:56Speaker 1: during that three You got a window and a tree.
- 35:03Speaker 1: I have a question because are you very excited about now?
- 35:05Speaker 1: I don't know anything about the Star Wars world, as
- 35:07Speaker 1: you know, Donald, but the I watched Mandalorian because my
- 35:11Speaker 1: my Henry loves the Star Wars world and he was
- 35:14Speaker 1: showing me that the guy that does uh dear white
- 35:18Speaker 1: people justin like Justin Simeon. Is that his name is
- 35:21Speaker 1: in his credits coming up is listed as the creator
- 35:23Speaker 1: of Lando. Is that is that so awesome? I I
- 35:27Speaker 1: that would be really cool, by the way, So it's
- 35:29Speaker 1: on IMDb. It says like the next show that he's behind.
- 35:33Speaker 1: It just says creator executive producer Lando. Oh, that'd be dope.
- 35:36Speaker 1: Man good for good for him, man good. That's good gossip.
- 35:40Speaker 1: I'm gonna be honest. I'm gonna be I'm that's great gossip.
- 35:42Speaker 1: If that's true. Like all of all of anything revolved
- 35:46Speaker 1: revolving around Star Wars or Marvel nowadays seems to be
- 35:49Speaker 1: just really good, juicy gossip too. I heard ken to
- 35:53Speaker 1: to sleep the rumors that were gonna be a Marvel
- 35:55Speaker 1: Star Wars crossover. Well, he just did a bit. He
- 35:59Speaker 1: just did a huge Marvel crossing over of Tune universes
- 36:03Speaker 1: in the fifth episode of wand Division in a way
- 36:06Speaker 1: that no spoilers, no spoilers because my girlfriend's out of
- 36:09Speaker 1: town and I'm not allowed to fucking watch it. Dude, dude,
- 36:13Speaker 1: you are missing out. I saw it really that that
- 36:17Speaker 1: that also opens up a lot of questions on how
- 36:21Speaker 1: this universe is gonna be man Like, Okay, so are
- 36:24Speaker 1: like I know that the Doctor Strange thing is the
- 36:28Speaker 1: multiverse and the multiverse of Madness and everything like that,
- 36:32Speaker 1: are we really diving into this and if we're really
- 36:34Speaker 1: diving into this. How is the connection between these two
- 36:38Speaker 1: so powerful? Then if it's not her real like, it's crazy, dude,
- 36:41Speaker 1: they're going nuts with These shows really are more importantly
- 36:45Speaker 1: if you guys do your research, all right, So the
- 36:49Speaker 1: h of the Scrubs multi universe. So all right, So
- 36:54Speaker 1: all the Spin City actors were on Scrubs, but they
- 36:57Speaker 1: weren't playing themselves. A bunch of Scrubbs actors went on Cougartown, Zach,
- 37:04Speaker 1: you went on playing yourself. Sam was there playing himself.
- 37:07Speaker 1: Ken Jenkins was not playing himself, he was playing Courtney
- 37:11Speaker 1: Cox's dad. And also the janitor was named officially on
- 37:18Speaker 1: Clone High because on Clone High we wanted to be
- 37:21Speaker 1: Easter Egg. He played a janitor that was named Glenn,
- 37:23Speaker 1: and that was his real name at the end, Glenn Matthews.
- 37:26Speaker 1: But you guys were also on Clone High as voices
- 37:32Speaker 1: and not as yourselves. So we've never really figured out
- 37:34Speaker 1: what the Scrubs universe means other than everybody's been in everything.
- 37:38Speaker 1: That's all we got so far. But the weirdest one
- 37:41Speaker 1: still being the end credits of Cougartown, which you guys
- 37:43Speaker 1: should at some point screen that one tag because Zach.
- 37:47Speaker 1: If you remember, it's when you walk. You made the
- 37:49Speaker 1: mistake of coming by the Cougartown set when Sarah Chalk
- 37:53Speaker 1: was there doing a guest spot. Ken Jenkins was there
- 37:56Speaker 1: playing Christa's I mean Courtney's dad Ad, and Sam Lloyd
- 38:02Speaker 1: was there playing Ted and Bob Clendenon was a regular
- 38:06Speaker 1: on the show as the neighbor even though he's doctor
- 38:07Speaker 1: Zeltzer on Scrubs. And you walked in delivering a pizza
- 38:11Speaker 1: and made Sam's head explook. It was one of the
- 38:13Speaker 1: greatest tags of all time. Man, you guys gotta check
- 38:16Speaker 1: that out. All I remember is all I remember is
- 38:18Speaker 1: that you were like, hey, come on by. Let's I
- 38:20Speaker 1: want to catch up with you. Come on by the
- 38:21Speaker 1: lot and it'd be great to you know, just have
- 38:23Speaker 1: a coffee and shoot the shit. I'm like, oh, okay, cool.
- 38:25Speaker 1: So I think I'm going by just to see Bill
- 38:27Speaker 1: and catch up. And we get there, He's like, hey, um,
- 38:31Speaker 1: since you're here, would you like to walk onto the
- 38:37Speaker 1: set and do this bit with Sam. I'm like, okay.
- 38:41Speaker 1: I didn't even do like hair and makeup or anything.
- 38:43Speaker 1: I just walked on and like he like, someone handed
- 38:45Speaker 1: me a pizza. And I came in and I was
- 38:46Speaker 1: the pizza guy. I remember Sam Lloyd was having a nightmare.
- 38:49Speaker 1: And by the way, this is the funniest part of that.
- 38:50Speaker 1: Sam Woyd was having a nightmare because you guys, you
- 38:52Speaker 1: all look like people from my old job. And he
- 38:54Speaker 1: pointed at Bob Clendennon and then Bob Kelso and then
- 38:57Speaker 1: Sarah Chalk and then Christa and then you come in
- 39:01Speaker 1: delivering a pizza. And he runs to the window and
- 39:04Speaker 1: hits his head and then he looks out and watering
- 39:07Speaker 1: the garden out back is Rob Mashio. And I remember,
- 39:10Speaker 1: Zach because when you said that you were coming over
- 39:13Speaker 1: for coffee, I knew I was going to do this
- 39:14Speaker 1: to you. So I called up Rob Mashia. I'm like, hey,
- 39:16Speaker 1: can you get to the Culver City Studios in like
- 39:18Speaker 1: ten minutes. He's like, I'm already there. He was outside.
- 39:25Speaker 1: Speaking of Rob Mashio, how about when Heather Graham dressed
- 39:28Speaker 1: as wonder Woman. Um she lassles him in her Lasso
- 39:33Speaker 1: of Truth and he says, I once had a threesome,
- 39:36Speaker 1: and not the cool kind. So wait, what's the bad kind?
- 39:41Speaker 1: What's the what's the uncool kind? Too? I think I
- 39:44Speaker 1: think he's I think he's saying that in his version,
- 39:48Speaker 1: the non cool kind was with with two dudes. But yeah,
- 39:53Speaker 1: it could be, but he likes it could be two yeah,
- 39:55Speaker 1: but it could be two dudes and one girl. It
- 39:57Speaker 1: could be. But also, don't forget Donald, he likes anything,
- 40:02Speaker 1: but he's still prisoner of what those kind of frat
- 40:06Speaker 1: boy jock surgeons were like. So his even though he yeah,
- 40:10Speaker 1: he still hasn't accepted his true toddness yet at this point. Right, No,
- 40:14Speaker 1: we just watched an episode where his heart cup pulled out,
- 40:17Speaker 1: and I'm gay, right right. I had one thing to say.
- 40:32Speaker 1: I think there are I think Scrubs already has a
- 40:34Speaker 1: multiverse going, and I think it happened with that butterfly
- 40:37Speaker 1: effect one. I'm just putting it out there. It can go.
- 40:40Speaker 1: There's different ways it can go. I'm just saying we
- 40:43Speaker 1: did it. The closest we ever got to be in
- 40:45Speaker 1: weird with it because someone got mad at me about
- 40:47Speaker 1: it on social media. A few months back was when
- 40:51Speaker 1: we wanted to imply that we couldn't figure out how
- 40:55Speaker 1: to bring Elizabeth Banks onto the show, and we wanted
- 40:57Speaker 1: to imply that she was a doctor, in which case
- 40:59Speaker 1: j would know her and she's been there all along.
- 41:02Speaker 1: So then we just did this thing that JD could
- 41:04Speaker 1: not see women that have wedding rings on because he's
- 41:07Speaker 1: that shallow a man that if they're wearing a wedding ring,
- 41:10Speaker 1: they don't exist to him. And if you remember, we
- 41:12Speaker 1: went back and put her in the person got mad
- 41:16Speaker 1: because we comped her into Ben's funeral, into that show,
- 41:20Speaker 1: she was sitting she was sitting two rows behind j D. Yeah,
- 41:25Speaker 1: and we put her two rows behind j D and
- 41:27Speaker 1: Ben's funeral, and then we put her in the elevator
- 41:29Speaker 1: when he's doing kung fu fighting and she was just
- 41:32Speaker 1: all over in the show. You guys will eventually get
- 41:34Speaker 1: to that when she So that was the closest thing
- 41:38Speaker 1: we ever did was an alternate reality that there are
- 41:40Speaker 1: other characters in the show that just JD couldn't see
- 41:43Speaker 1: because funny this one because she has a wedding ring on. Yes,
- 41:48Speaker 1: it's why we established the gift shop girl disappeared when
- 41:51Speaker 1: you guys get there, because she's actually still in the
- 41:55Speaker 1: lobby down there where you guys are, and I think
- 41:57Speaker 1: Donald says, take your ring off. She takes her ring
- 41:59Speaker 1: off off and just appears it's just been there the
- 42:05Speaker 1: whole time. Um, So Sarah's boyfriend at the time, you
- 42:11Speaker 1: had Jamie, you had come in and play the patient
- 42:15Speaker 1: because she had to make out with the guy and
- 42:17Speaker 1: instead of being a random guy. Is that what happened? Yep? Um,
- 42:21Speaker 1: And just because I knew him and liked him, and
- 42:23Speaker 1: it was a fun, weird excuse for someone that would
- 42:26Speaker 1: eventually be an entertainment attorney to come in and be
- 42:28Speaker 1: on camera kissing his girl. Yeah, that was funny. It
- 42:32Speaker 1: was like it was like convenient, like all right, Sarah,
- 42:34Speaker 1: you don't have to go make out with some random guy.
- 42:36Speaker 1: You can, We'll just have your boyfriend be the random guy.
- 42:39Speaker 1: But I remember that that happened the opposite when with
- 42:43Speaker 1: the parachute scene. Remember she had to there was some
- 42:46Speaker 1: guy when when there was a stuntman that had to
- 42:49Speaker 1: parachute and make out there and the only stunt man
- 42:51Speaker 1: they could get I think is generously probably in his
- 42:54Speaker 1: early seventies, And so yeah, she had to wait. I
- 43:00Speaker 1: forgot if that was before this the raft, but I
- 43:02Speaker 1: remember this. Have we passed that moment yet, don't? I
- 43:06Speaker 1: don't think so. I don't think so. Yeah, So yeah,
- 43:10Speaker 1: it was some big stunt with the parachuting, and I
- 43:14Speaker 1: remember Sard being like, he's like a hundred years old.
- 43:21Speaker 1: Oh god, how about doctor vog going It was horrible.
- 43:28Speaker 1: It was horrible. What I forgot what he was saying.
- 43:31Speaker 1: It was horrible, dude. It was so That guy's funny too,
- 43:34Speaker 1: because uh, Molly's boyfriend gets handy when he's oh yeah, yeah,
- 43:39Speaker 1: he's all It was horrible. That guy was funny. He
- 43:42Speaker 1: was in a couple episodes. He always makes me laughed
- 43:47Speaker 1: in a couple of them. Yeah, yeah, very funny. Um.
- 43:52Speaker 1: And and and a working actor also, uh works a
- 43:55Speaker 1: lot still to this day. Um, I love that. You
- 44:00Speaker 1: the thing about me hating Lonnie Bill, You've you've given me,
- 44:03Speaker 1: You've given JD a real foil, and you've given him
- 44:06Speaker 1: a newman. Lonnie. Yeah. You, by the way, we always enjoyed.
- 44:10Speaker 1: It's a testament to you, Zach. You hating people for
- 44:14Speaker 1: no reason always worked. He's a bit of a dick.
- 44:20Speaker 1: I mean he's he's not he's by no means intimidated
- 44:25Speaker 1: by me, and he has no respect for me at all. No, Lonnie,
- 44:29Speaker 1: Lonnie um deserves it. I don't think Keith ever deserved it.
- 44:33Speaker 1: You hated Keith? Yeah, was Keeth the one with perfect ariolas? Yeah,
- 44:38Speaker 1: Ke's the one. Yeah, he's the one. He dated Sarah,
- 44:43Speaker 1: So you hated him, and you gave every intern nicknames
- 44:47Speaker 1: and except him, And he said, why won't you give
- 44:49Speaker 1: me a nickname? And you said, some people's names just
- 44:52Speaker 1: don't lend themselves to nicknames. And he said, my last
- 44:55Speaker 1: name is dude, meister, Like, what am I supposed to
- 45:05Speaker 1: do with that? What do look auld anyone do with that?
- 45:07Speaker 1: Was it was it Keith or Scott Fully that I
- 45:10Speaker 1: was like, you think you're better than me with your
- 45:11Speaker 1: with your rock hard abs and your dynamite are Oldess,
- 45:15Speaker 1: that's Keith, that's Keith. You hated Scott Fully next season? Yeah,
- 45:22Speaker 1: he's next season. And he was around two two, two,
- 45:26Speaker 1: three years. He was around a lot man. Scott. By
- 45:29Speaker 1: the way, he's another dude that just fit in with
- 45:31Speaker 1: you all so well. It reminds me of Heather that way.
- 45:33Speaker 1: That it was just easy to bring him back because
- 45:36Speaker 1: it was fun. You know, the same thing with rich Kind.
- 45:38Speaker 1: You know, yeah, Oh, Richard Kind's coming on Jewel right, Richard.
- 45:41Speaker 1: We scored Kind. Oh I'll do an interrupting Bill and
- 45:46Speaker 1: ask you some good Richard Kind questions and that that'll
- 45:48Speaker 1: be fun. Oh thank you? Wait, please do He's a
- 45:52Speaker 1: He's a great article in the New Yorker. People should
- 45:54Speaker 1: go back and look at it is probably from about
- 45:56Speaker 1: two weeks ago that said, uh, it has a list
- 45:59Speaker 1: of moves that they feel would have been better if
- 46:01Speaker 1: Richard Kind was in them. And it's an article about
- 46:03Speaker 1: what a great character actor he is. And I agreed
- 46:06Speaker 1: with all of them. I love articles like that, but
- 46:09Speaker 1: I also hate articles like that when they're like about you,
- 46:12Speaker 1: like Richard Conde's like, thanks for nothing. I know, I
- 46:15Speaker 1: know if I own, like if I what do I
- 46:17Speaker 1: get from that? Now let's go to break. Let's gonna break.
- 46:23Speaker 1: But hey, when we're back, guys, I'm gonna be gone,
- 46:25Speaker 1: I want to say, because I gotta go to a
- 46:27Speaker 1: big meeting. Stuff. So thank you for watching Slash listening
- 46:30Speaker 1: to my podcast. Donald, thank you for that amazing rapping. Zach.
- 46:34Speaker 1: Thanks for being here as a guest this week. Donald,
- 46:36Speaker 1: I really appreciate it. Don't appreciate you, Zach. And we're
- 46:45Speaker 1: by where that we're getting back. Um the guest is here.
- 46:53Speaker 1: Go ahead, Okay, up, that lazy far you saying your
- 46:58Speaker 1: last names falls that falls Yeah, fallless, not like oh
- 47:06Speaker 1: like face. I didn't even get the Fallas thing, Lacy.
- 47:13Speaker 1: You led me there. Yeah, I get it kind of often,
- 47:16Speaker 1: but I'm married into it, so it's not my fault. Well.
- 47:19Speaker 1: And also the good thing about being a child with
- 47:21Speaker 1: the last name Fallas is that kids wouldn't know what
- 47:24Speaker 1: a Fallas is, so you're not You're going to avoid
- 47:26Speaker 1: all the underage teasing. True, they're good for now. Welcome
- 47:33Speaker 1: to the program, Lacy. Where you calling from? I live
- 47:36Speaker 1: in Saskatchewan, Canada, Scatchewin, Canada in the mother And are
- 47:46Speaker 1: you a piano player? Yes, I am. I'm sorry it
- 47:52Speaker 1: looks like I'm pulling attention to that. It's just where
- 47:54Speaker 1: the computer is and we just moved here, so I
- 47:57Speaker 1: didn't want to mess with anything. It's fine, sure, sure,
- 48:01Speaker 1: but you're gonna play something that right, Yeah, You're gonna
- 48:03Speaker 1: play a song. You know. I feel pretty um inadequate
- 48:08Speaker 1: in present company. I mean, I I look up to
- 48:12Speaker 1: Nick so much, and I um, Joshua's song Only You
- 48:17Speaker 1: is in our wedding, like oh wow, oh yeah that
- 48:21Speaker 1: Listen if you don't want to play Lacy wants to
- 48:25Speaker 1: play Donald. I don't want to ask questions and get
- 48:27Speaker 1: her life fixed. She's not here to entertain you. Um
- 48:32Speaker 1: lay letting me entertain you, Gypsy, letting me make is?
- 48:39Speaker 1: How do you do that? That was quick? Are you? No?
- 48:42Speaker 1: I am? You know what Trevor Ricky does for scrubs,
- 48:45Speaker 1: I can do that for musicals. I didn't even get
- 48:47Speaker 1: it Outpsy. I was on the stage crew for Gypsy,
- 48:52Speaker 1: and I remember feeling so cool that I was in
- 48:56Speaker 1: charge of opening the curtain at the right time. Oh
- 49:00Speaker 1: I ever messed up? No, I was just First of all,
- 49:02Speaker 1: the funny thing is in the opening of Gypsy, there's
- 49:04Speaker 1: a scene where all the kids are at a talent
- 49:06Speaker 1: show and I was a little kid, but I was
- 49:08Speaker 1: like stage crew mascot, and so they said, yeah, but
- 49:11Speaker 1: you can be on the stage crew, dude, but you've
- 49:13Speaker 1: got to be in the little kid, saying we need
- 49:14Speaker 1: more little kids. I was like, okay. So I would
- 49:16Speaker 1: get there before the show and they put full clown
- 49:18Speaker 1: makeup on me and I would be in the opening sketch.
- 49:22Speaker 1: I had nothing to do but just stand there as
- 49:23Speaker 1: a kid, and then they'd be like that scene was
- 49:25Speaker 1: over and I just think I'm the coolest stage crew guy.
- 49:28Speaker 1: But I'm doing the whole show in full clown makeup,
- 49:32Speaker 1: and they're like, go curtain and I'm like, yo, curtain
- 49:35Speaker 1: and I'm pulling it, and i just think I'm so
- 49:37Speaker 1: cool and I'm not looking at the fact that everyone
- 49:40Speaker 1: else looking at me is like sees a little kid
- 49:41Speaker 1: in full clown makeup. It's like that. It's like that meme.
- 49:45Speaker 1: It's like that meme of the Joker, and they use
- 49:48Speaker 1: the Joker like they use the like how you feel
- 49:53Speaker 1: like it's the Joker in that track suit? It's like,
- 49:56Speaker 1: how here what she leaves you on red for an hour?
- 49:59Speaker 1: And to picture up the joke of looking at himself
- 50:01Speaker 1: in the mirror with a cigarette in his mouth. That's
- 50:05Speaker 1: kind of you, man. You were like you were like
- 50:07Speaker 1: they looked at you like a clown. You were a clown. Yeah,
- 50:10Speaker 1: And I don't think there's anyone else who's been on
- 50:12Speaker 1: a stage crew. First of all, when you're on stage
- 50:15Speaker 1: with the whole point is you wear blacks and you
- 50:16Speaker 1: sort of disappear into the into the shadows. I was
- 50:19Speaker 1: in full I was in full clown makeup. You all right, enough,
- 50:24Speaker 1: about me and my love of musicals. Lacey, do you
- 50:26Speaker 1: have a question for us? I have so many questions.
- 50:30Speaker 1: Joel sent me back some that would be okay, okay,
- 50:34Speaker 1: shop the questions. Good good work, jo Well, yeah, um,
- 50:39Speaker 1: I wrote in, and I feel bad because I wrote
- 50:42Speaker 1: in to kind of prove Donald and the wrong about
- 50:45Speaker 1: the will they won't they split them up getting back
- 50:48Speaker 1: together thing, and we were yeah, I know. And I
- 50:53Speaker 1: heard your podcast today and you pretty much rip that
- 50:55Speaker 1: guy apart. The story wasn't good enough. Go ahead, Lacey.
- 51:00Speaker 1: I don't think ours is very unique. But we were
- 51:05Speaker 1: high school, like we'd met in high school. I think
- 51:07Speaker 1: we were fifteen, and when it times it was time
- 51:12Speaker 1: to go to university, and yeah, there were only a
- 51:14Speaker 1: couple hours apart, and we probably could have done it,
- 51:17Speaker 1: but we just kind of wanted to go and meet
- 51:21Speaker 1: other people and go, like, just go fuck somebody else
- 51:25Speaker 1: for a change. We'd never done that, right, Let's go
- 51:29Speaker 1: do that and experience things and do a cake stand
- 51:33Speaker 1: on a Tuesday and not be judged about it, you know.
- 51:35Speaker 1: And then when we were done university, I came back
- 51:39Speaker 1: to my hometown and he did as well, and I
- 51:43Speaker 1: asked him to move in with me as roommates, and
- 51:46Speaker 1: I was working nights at the hospital and he said no, no, no,
- 51:51Speaker 1: he wouldn't do it. Finally he did because, like he said, Donald,
- 51:55Speaker 1: we went, he moved in and won more. All he
- 52:00Speaker 1: did was kiss me. He said, I said, are we
- 52:03Speaker 1: doing this? And he said yep. And we tried to
- 52:07Speaker 1: keep it under wraps from there. But we actually had
- 52:10Speaker 1: a miscarriage. So that's filled the beans and since then
- 52:16Speaker 1: we got married, we have two kids. There's been hurdles,
- 52:21Speaker 1: for sure, but I can't imagine going through Our sons
- 52:28Speaker 1: were both premature, they both had pediatric cancer. They're both
- 52:33Speaker 1: in remission now and doing well. But I can't imagine
- 52:36Speaker 1: going through a time of my life like that without
- 52:40Speaker 1: someone who's known me over half my life, if that
- 52:44Speaker 1: makes sense. Yeah, yeah, no, I had that. Wow, it's incredible,
- 52:48Speaker 1: what the journey you've had, And it sounds like through
- 52:51Speaker 1: all those incredibly hard times that you were super clear
- 52:55Speaker 1: that you'd found the right partner. Yeah. He is a
- 52:58Speaker 1: man of few words, so I knew when he when
- 53:02Speaker 1: he did that, and he said, yea, that he meant it.
- 53:04Speaker 1: So it was kind of like, stop screwing around, let's
- 53:07Speaker 1: let's do this. We don't have to. I don't know. Well,
- 53:11Speaker 1: I mean, you guys moved in. You you moved back
- 53:14Speaker 1: to the same town, and then we're like, you know,
- 53:16Speaker 1: let's just move in together. Yeah. Yeah. See, did you
- 53:19Speaker 1: feel that you've done enough sewing of your oats by
- 53:22Speaker 1: the time you you moved back home? Yes? And then
- 53:25Speaker 1: Donald was wondering if it's like those little things that
- 53:29Speaker 1: drive you crazy still drive you crazy. Yep, they do. Um,
- 53:34Speaker 1: but you see that the kind of like the kind
- 53:37Speaker 1: of man he has become far weighs that. And also
- 53:41Speaker 1: like the oats that I sewed showed me that the
- 53:43Speaker 1: oat I had was my husband is six six and
- 53:49Speaker 1: the adage is true, he wears big shoot. So I
- 53:54Speaker 1: was good. Oh, I understand the subtext there. Donald, I'm
- 53:59Speaker 1: not gonna spell it out for the audience, but um,
- 54:02Speaker 1: now what about him? Did he feel like he had
- 54:04Speaker 1: sowed his oats? And he was good, like, Okay, I
- 54:06Speaker 1: got crazy, I had sex with lots of people and
- 54:09Speaker 1: now I'm ready to sell them. Yeah he did that,
- 54:12Speaker 1: and then he got cheated on and had his heart
- 54:14Speaker 1: just murdered. So he thought that side of it that sucks. Well,
- 54:22Speaker 1: that sounds like it all worked out. It's it's it's
- 54:25Speaker 1: they're happy now and you and you just moved into
- 54:27Speaker 1: a new house. Yeah, we just bought a farm. We're insane.
- 54:31Speaker 1: We decided that that's so cool. It's like we bought
- 54:38Speaker 1: a farm. Do you okay, let me ask you a
- 54:40Speaker 1: question farm. Did you buy a farm with animals or
- 54:43Speaker 1: did you buy a farm? You bought a farm with animals,
- 54:45Speaker 1: so you got chickens cows. We have these two highland
- 54:49Speaker 1: cows that need names and answers obvious on that, Donald
- 54:55Speaker 1: and Zach Zack, go ahead. I would love to have
- 54:59Speaker 1: a farm. Donald, Well, you know what, zech what your
- 55:05Speaker 1: one job away from making that dream come true? Well,
- 55:07Speaker 1: I don't know how it would fit into my life.
- 55:09Speaker 1: I can't really have it where where I live. But
- 55:12Speaker 1: the idea of like retreating to a farm in upstate
- 55:15Speaker 1: New York, that would be, Like you said, you are
- 55:17Speaker 1: one job away from making that happen, buddy, so you
- 55:20Speaker 1: just keep running carry I'm gonna put it on my whiteboard. Farm.
- 55:24Speaker 1: I also need a farmer, because I don't intend to
- 55:27Speaker 1: be getting the cow poop out of the hay. Well,
- 55:30Speaker 1: it depends on what type of farm you have. I
- 55:31Speaker 1: thought you were gonna have a farm like a marijuana farm. No,
- 55:35Speaker 1: I want what's called a gentleman's farm. And that's where
- 55:37Speaker 1: you get to live on the beautiful farm. But there's
- 55:39Speaker 1: a professional farmer leading the crew to make it look nice. Lacy,
- 55:46Speaker 1: it's time for Saskatchewan's favorite segment. It's time too fix
- 55:54Speaker 1: your lie. Oh my god, this so cool? Ready for you, Lacy?
- 56:01Speaker 1: How can we help? We're here to help free therapy go.
- 56:06Speaker 1: Valentine's Day is coming up, and we don't care about that.
- 56:08Speaker 1: That's not a question I have. Our tenth anniversary is
- 56:12Speaker 1: coming up this year, and we had always said that
- 56:14Speaker 1: we were going to go to Greece. That was our thing.
- 56:16Speaker 1: We saved their money to go to Greece and then
- 56:18Speaker 1: we used it for our children's treatments. So now and
- 56:22Speaker 1: we can't fly anyway, So do you have any ideas
- 56:26Speaker 1: how we can make this year somewhat special? Well, you
- 56:30Speaker 1: just moved into this farm, so I think it should
- 56:32Speaker 1: be about I know it's freezing outside, so you can't
- 56:34Speaker 1: really do anything too too long outside, But to me,
- 56:39Speaker 1: my first instinct is it should be something to celebrate.
- 56:42Speaker 1: Holy shit, we have a farm what about if you
- 56:46Speaker 1: got him an animal that that you don't yet have
- 56:50Speaker 1: on the farm. They have these really adorable pigmy goats
- 56:54Speaker 1: and they stay small and they're so cute, And if
- 56:56Speaker 1: I had a farm, it would be my first thing
- 56:58Speaker 1: to get. If there's a way to safely provide a
- 57:03Speaker 1: habitat for a pigmy goat. I think that I don't
- 57:07Speaker 1: know your husband at all, but I think if he
- 57:09Speaker 1: if that pigmy goat showed up, and maybe a sweater
- 57:12Speaker 1: that had hearts all over it. Oh my gosh. Yeah,
- 57:15Speaker 1: you can go online, I'm sure and buy like a
- 57:17Speaker 1: buy like a dog sweater. I just okay, I'm gonna
- 57:19Speaker 1: say this. I don't think a goat is the right
- 57:22Speaker 1: thing to buy in a freezing cold farm. For Okay,
- 57:25Speaker 1: do you have any ideas for what Lacy could do
- 57:28Speaker 1: special for her husband on their new farm for Valentine's say, Well, yeah,
- 57:33Speaker 1: he's gonna listen to this too, so give him some pointers. Okay,
- 57:37Speaker 1: that's good. You said you play the piano, and you
- 57:40Speaker 1: have a piano in the background, right, why not write
- 57:44Speaker 1: a song for him? Oh that's a great idea. Do
- 57:47Speaker 1: you ever write, Lacy? I do I write and I score.
- 57:51Speaker 1: Oh my god. Well, Donald's answer is better than mine.
- 57:53Speaker 1: I mean, you can do both. You can play a
- 57:55Speaker 1: song that the baby pigmy goat can enter too. But okay,
- 58:01Speaker 1: so here we go. I want you to write a
- 58:03Speaker 1: song about how much you love your husband and how
- 58:05Speaker 1: much you appreciate him, and then and then if some
- 58:08Speaker 1: of the lyrics could be related to the entrance of
- 58:12Speaker 1: a pigmy goat, and then your kids will bring in
- 58:14Speaker 1: the pigmy goat on a little leash, bam Valentine's Day.
- 58:19Speaker 1: Deal sounds good and we're gonna need video of that
- 58:22Speaker 1: please to be sent to us. Now, Donald, what should
- 58:26Speaker 1: we tell her husband to get for her since he's
- 58:28Speaker 1: going to be listening act excited when you see the
- 58:30Speaker 1: pigmy goat. Yes, he's gonna be excited. Story in my life,
- 58:35Speaker 1: Donald Lacy, You're welcome. You're welcome. You're so welcome. Lay.
- 58:42Speaker 1: I look forward to hearing um the song. I'm not kidding.
- 58:46Speaker 1: I hope when you write it, you're gonna send it
- 58:48Speaker 1: to Joel so we can play it on the show. Well,
- 58:50Speaker 1: I Loki, you want to be Joel's best friend? If that? Yeah,
- 58:54Speaker 1: everybody everybody does. Everyone who listens to the podcast wants
- 59:00Speaker 1: to be Joel's BF. Oh, I would love to hear
- 59:03Speaker 1: this song that you write. If you if you said
- 59:06Speaker 1: you score music and stuff like that, I would love
- 59:08Speaker 1: to hear some of your music at some point. So
- 59:11Speaker 1: when you do, if you do do it for Valentine's Day,
- 59:14Speaker 1: or if you do it for some other time, please, yes,
- 59:16Speaker 1: do send it into the show, and we would love
- 59:17Speaker 1: to hear your music, Lacy. We'd love to hear it,
- 59:20Speaker 1: and also that we would we will play it on
- 59:22Speaker 1: the show if you actually write a song, and if
- 59:24Speaker 1: and if you allow it, and if you allow it,
- 59:27Speaker 1: maybe DJ Daniel could sample some of it and we'll
- 59:30Speaker 1: put it in. We'll put it into recap or something
- 59:33Speaker 1: like that. Yeah, remix. Oh my god. You know, Lacy,
- 59:37Speaker 1: you officially have a homework assignment. But it's a good
- 59:40Speaker 1: homework assignment because we're gonna play your song, or at
- 59:43Speaker 1: least part of it. I don't know if it's going
- 59:44Speaker 1: to be like a long ass song, we're gonna play
- 59:45Speaker 1: a part of it on the show. I mean, yeah,
- 59:47Speaker 1: don't send in like the five minute version, send in
- 59:49Speaker 1: like the two and a half minute version. The radio edit.
- 59:53Speaker 1: Lacy thank you so much for coming on. We appreciate you.
- 59:56Speaker 1: And good luck with your farm. That's so exciting. Thank
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: you so much. You bought a farm. By you prought
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: a farm, you bought a farm. I think that's really
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: cool and an exciting adventure for you. And uh and
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: we wish you the best. Thank you so much. All right,
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: bye bye, guys, who bye. I'm a surprise visitor everybody,
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: Charlotte Lawrence. I'm good where you got your own place now,
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: I got my own place. I'm a full adult now. Charlotte,
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: we we played your song because we have been. I've
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: been listening to it in my house NonStop flows on,
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: basically NonStop repeat. It's so cute. I know she texts
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: me videos that were dancing to it. It makes me
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: so happy. I love that you guys love it. You
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: guys are my number one promoters. Charlotte was like, um,
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: Charlotte was like, hey, I might make a video where
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: I have my friends dancing to the song. We used
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: to send a video. I'm like, hell no, but I
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: know someone who. But I know someone who will. I
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: was like, I'm I'm doing a fan visual. I'm gonna
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: have a bunch of my friends. Just dance to it
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: really cute if you're down to join. Zach was like
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: no immediately, no, didn't even have you ever seen him dance? Donald?
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: You're you gonna learn to dance a little bit Donald
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: for my new film, And I was thinking maybe you
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: could teach me a few moves. You just need a
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: two step, bro. I've been really into your rapping. Me rapping.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: I've been really into your rapping. I'm a garbage rapper.
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: It's I'm trash rapper. I think you're good. I think
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: you're free about Charlotte's Donald, come on, Bee, I just
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: thought you could do it on cutting you on the spot.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: Here we go, all right, chart Lawrence, Charlotte Lawrence. I noon,
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: you said you was a baby girl. Now you are grown.
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, now you are grown? Yeah yeah, Charlotte Lawrence,
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: Sean Lawrence, I know you said you was the baby girl.
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: Now you're all grown. Now you're all grown. Fantastic. I
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: like that where you rhyme's grown with grown great great
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: lyric choice. I think you should feature. I think you
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: should feature on a song of mine. Donald, I could feature,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: I could feature no chartte on that's on the Bachelorette yes,
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: the Bachelor, The Bachelor. Who I saw? Her name is
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: Kit right, hit Keenan, one of my best friends since
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: i've been l Yes. Yeah, she's the beautiful blonde one. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: Do you watch the show them? Of course? I watch
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: it with Kit. I watch it with Kit. No, I'm
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: asking if Donald's watch If Donald does, yeah, absolutely, now listen.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: I used to watch these shows because I who saw
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: it was funny, but I'm over it. And I saw
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: a kid because I've met her through Charlotte and she's
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: very close with Charlotte. And I saw a preview and
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: I was like, fucking kid is on the Bachelor, So
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: I want I try. I texted Charlotte last night, I'm
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: all right, I'm gonna try because kids on and I
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: was like, how do you liking it? Five minutes later
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: she's like, how is it? Like? I can't watch the show?
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: I just can't. I know. It's it's a phenomenon, it
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: really is. It's like once you get in it, you
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: can't get out of it. So you're watching it with
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: your friend who's on it, is she giving you no? No, no?
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: So what happens is I'll be sitting next to her
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: watching it and then she'll be like, oh, that girl,
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: that is so fake, she did not actually say that
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: in person, or like, oh no, that girl's actually really nice,
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: Like I get all the inside scoop, like I know
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: you know what I mean, I know that I know
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: the t So it's really it makes it a whole
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: experience because we're watching you know her on TV, and
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: then she's also telling us what's going on behind the scenes.
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: It's hilarious. It's just such a weird I also never
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: watched The Bachelor. I was never into it like that,
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: and I'm obsessive with it. I'm obsessed with it. I
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: watch I mean I watch it with kid next to
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: me every single Monday night, and I'm like, I can't
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: get enough of it. I love it so much. I
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: love it so much. Man. It's just and it's it's
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: you're right, it's an accident. You you accidentally watch and
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: then you're stuck and you can't get out. You can't
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: you can't get out of it. No, no, no, it's
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: an addiction. You're like you feel like you're a part
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: of it and know the girls Like I talk to
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: the screen, I'm like, Piper go, you like, hell yeah,
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: Piper good job. Like I'm like yelling at the screen.
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: It's like spots to watch it because I've never known
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: anyone that was on the show, so I wanted to
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: watch and I was like, that's what makes it more
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: fun because she's also I don't know, it's just it's
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: like what you see on the screen, like isn't what
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: actually is happening in real life? You know. Of course,
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: they like pick characters for each person and they and
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: they make some people look bad, make some people look great, Like,
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: you know, it's not everything is not what it seems.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: That's my girlfriend. Sherry Applebee was on a show that
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: was about behind the scenes of a reality show I forgot.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: I think it was called on Scripted. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: I saw that that it was. It was supposed to
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: be like what actually happened in The Bachelor and murdered. Well,
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: I mean they took it to extremely but they showed
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: you how like they shape the stories. You know, Yeah, okay,
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: now go in and go in and say this, you know, yeah,
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: I mean what I know. Um, it's a lot of
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: like what you think is surprises on the show, or
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: that someone doesn't know something or this is crazy that
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: just happened. It's like everything is planned. The producers like
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: try to stir shit, you know what I mean, and
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: cause fights and cause craziness. So it's like the one
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: little segment I saw yesterday, this girl from another season
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: shows up and she's trying to get on the show
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: and they call Chris Harrison and he's supposed to act
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: like he's surprised. He's like, what this is. This is
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: so unprecedented. I can't believe you're here on buddy, Oh,
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: come on, tell me anything about that. But I was like,
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: come on, Chris Harrison, you you you called her at
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: three in the morning, like, yo, we need to stir
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: up some drama. It's been a little bit. It's been
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: a little bit too nice for a few episodes. Here's
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: the crazy thing. My wife start on a reality show
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: for like a season, right, very famous reality show back
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: in a day. Um, and uh, she's stuck on these
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: things and she knows how it works. Yes, that's what's
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: that's what's amazing to me. She knows all the behind
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: the scenes, she knows exactly what they're doing, how they
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: pit people against each other. And yet she's still yelling
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: at the screen. You know, what I mean. Well, I
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: think another part of it too is that is that
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: if you really think about it, they're filming twenty four
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: seven for months, every single day, every single night, all
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: the time, and they only use little parts of it.
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: So the little parts that they're going to use of
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: you speaking or of what's happening is like only the meanest,
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: craziest out of the blue, sha I had. I've worked
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: with somebody. So when I interned it stupid interned Stupid
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: Buddy Studios in the animation department and the sorry in
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: the puppet department, and one of the people because that
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: she was an intern two and it didn't pay the bills.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: She was one of the people that would go through
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: all of the videos for Big Brother. Yeah, so you
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: know how Big Brother is, right, so you know how
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: Big Brother is like only an hour long or two
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: hours long. Yeah, you have to go through all of
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: these yeahs, because they film seven twenty four to seven,
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: And she was like, and she was like, and so
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: she would have to do that for that and for
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: Big Brother after Dark. Also because there's so many things,
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: so much goes on that you will never see, like listen,
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: it's gross. It's discuss I decide a realization. I decide
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: a realization. It's pro wrestling. Share the realization it's pro
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: wrestling for women. No, I think pro wrestling. I think
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: pro wrestlings for women. Also, well, okay, it's pro wrestling
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: aimed at a female demo. Don't because it's like it's
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: like not really real, but people buy into the characters
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: and no, but it's real. Last thing I'll say is
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: the crazy part about The Bachelor that you have to
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: think about is it is so real in the sense
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: that these girls are literally trapped in a house with
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: one guy and that's the guy they're supposed to love,
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: with no technology, no access to the outside world, no
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: cell phone. So it's like their only basic commission is
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: to get this guy an alcohol. So it's like, you,
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: I feel like it's a part of like the only
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: thing you got you're going to fall in love with him.
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: And a huge competition, Like I know that if I
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: was on The Bachelor, I'm so competitive. I would like
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: I would percent win solely based on my manipulative skills
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: to like beat out the other girls, just not because
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: I like the dude, but literally just because I would
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: be like I need to beat these women to be ashamed.
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: I totally get that. So you're saying that a lot
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: of these young ladies that are on the show aren't
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: necessarily on there to marry this guy, but it totally
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: on there just to win, and I feel I feel like, yeah,
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: I mean, I mean, I feel like nowadays, Okay, my
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: dad's kicking me out. I love you, guys, and thank
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: you for promoting my song so much and like being
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: so supportive. I love you guys. Thank you, Daniel and Joel,
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: Thank you guys. She's so sweet. Um, all right, So
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: I am totally obsessed with that show though, I'm just
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: gonna I didn't know you you watched I knew Casey did.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: I didn't know that you still watched it. I don't
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: watch it all the time, but I watched it enough
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: to where I'm like to where I can laugh at
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: Like there's he had a catchphrase last night was like
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: that was like I want you out the house, And
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: that shit made me laugh so hard. Like it was
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: like when ray j had his show and when instead
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: of giving the rose to the girl, he would be like,
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: are you ready for the love of ray Jus to
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: make me laugh so hard? It's just such cringe worthy stuff.
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: When you watched The Bachelor Bachelor Paradise, well, now you
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: got a root for Kit because, um, I don't think
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: she's gonna win. I know some fucking insider information. Actually,
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: I'm not gonna spoiler the batch learn, but I know
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: a little inside scoop that's been revealed to me from Charlotte.
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: You think offline, I wasn't, like, tell me what the
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: fuck happens? All right, that's the show. We love you all.
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: What should we tell them, guys? We should tell them
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: the truth. You can't handle the truth? I think they can.
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: They can. Um. I recommend a show on Apple I'm
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: watching called Losing Alice, really really good, interesting sexy drama drama.
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: Do you have any guys, have any referrals recommendations this
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: week for the audience, Joel Daniel, I suggest you watched
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: one division I can. I know, I know, I know.
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: I'm give me in trouble. I'm just joking, Joel. If
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: you're into the Apple TV, try Dickinson, which I'm super enjoying.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: It's about the life of Emily Dickinson. It's wacky and
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: and plays modern music and sometimes rappers show up. It's
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: so off the wall, and we that is that is
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: very random Hailey Steinfeld, isn't it? And she she's executive
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: us and starring and it's it's a lot of fun
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: to watch. That girl's very talented. All Right, we love you, guys,
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: and uh, thanks for tuning in. We appreciate you, and uh,
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: we'll see you next time. Donald, you want to you
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: want to counter send no, you baby stories about show
