- 1:51wording on this eye shaker. I don't like it very much, but
- 1:55it it's still beautiful. And it it actually with the
- 1:57water keeps it cool, keeps it beautiful.
- 2:00It keeps it nice. Ladies and gentlemen, our first
- 2:02guest of the night. He's been waiting calmly and
- 2:05carefully. We are now talking to Special
- 2:07Olympics baseball coach and author of Just need an
- 2:09opportunity. Tony, hold on.
- 2:13Vlahovic. Tony, what's up, buddy?
- 2:16Hey, how you doing, Errol? Hey, you you pronounce it
- 2:19beautifully. Thank you.
- 2:20That's great. Great.
- 2:21I'm very bad with names and obviously Ukrainian names, a lot
- 2:27of hockey names over the years, I've had problems with them and
- 2:30pronouncing it. Speedy puts up the pronunciation
- 2:34on the board and it's very, very hard because he puts it on the
- 2:37way he would sound it out and not the way I would sound it.
- 2:39And by the way, we had a, we had a specific segment called
- 2:44sounded out over the last couple of months.
- 2:46We don't do it much anymore, but they would put like all these
- 2:50sports, different names from football, baseball, hockey,
- 2:53tennis, and they'd pop them up and I would have to try to sound
- 2:56it out and I'm not very good at it.
- 2:57I was most of the time batting 300, but usually I would, I
- 3:02would go on to 300. I'm not very good at it, but
- 3:05anyways. I That's Hall of Fame numbers.
- 3:09I'm not a Hall of Famer. Not yet at least.
- 3:11I mean, jobbers, more of a Hall of Famer than I am as of right
- 3:14now. But nevertheless, I want to get
- 3:17into some of the great things you're doing right now.
- 3:20And obviously I want to 1st talk about your book.
- 3:24Just need an opportunity. How did this come about?
- 3:27Why, obviously, did you decide to write a book?
- 3:32It started I all through my entire life, I've been
- 3:36surrounded with people who have had disabilities growing up in
- 3:39the northern part of Pennsylvania.
- 3:41Some of the kids I grew up with were, you know, in, in special
- 3:45Ed, things like that. And there were kids in the
- 3:48neighborhood who wouldn't pick them, would pick on them.
- 3:51And I was their protector. And I don't know where that came
- 3:54from, but they, they were good people.
- 3:57And I didn't want anybody to bother them.
- 3:59You know, I, I picked them, I played with them.
- 4:03And throughout my life, I realized that I've been around
- 4:07people with disabilities and kind of put it all together back
- 4:11in 2012 when I met with Special Olympics New Jersey.
- 4:15The CEO at that time was a gentleman named Mark Edenson
- 4:19called me in and said, hey, I, I think people with disabilities
- 4:23can play the game of baseball. What do you think?
- 4:26And he said to me, look, you've been wearing a baseball hat all
- 4:29your life. They have also, but they've
- 4:31never had the opportunity to play.
- 4:33So that's, that really started this whole process of I needed
- 4:38to write about my relationship with the athletes and about my
- 4:43life. And I really want to use the
- 4:46book as a platform to increase awareness for people who have
- 4:50disabilities. You know, there, there are 62
- 4:52million people in the United States with disabilities.
- 4:55That's amazing. I mean, you're talking about
- 4:57what maybe, you know, at least 1/4, possibly 1/3 of the
- 5:01population. And I, again, the these athletes
- 5:06love the game. They know more about the game
- 5:09than my high school athletes that I coach.
- 5:12And I wanted to to give something back to them and, and
- 5:15bring that to awareness to A to a larger audience, which when it
- 5:20came out, it was a #1 new release.
- 5:23And then I also did an audio book, which, which was great
- 5:27because a lot of my athletes had some difficulty with
- 5:30comprehension, but listening to it was easier for them than
- 5:35reading. So that evolution of, of, you
- 5:38know, basically looking at my life and saying, you know, I've,
- 5:42I've been around people like this and I think it's time to,
- 5:46to share that information and put them in a limelight.
- 5:50And they, they are some of the most incredible people I've ever
- 5:53met in my life. So any specific experiences that
- 5:57you recall that you've explained to your kids, obviously you had
- 5:59a scary accident when you were playing baseball growing up.
- 6:02And then obviously, what are some of the biggest influences
- 6:06on them that you've mentioned in your book from your previous in
- 6:09your past life? Definitely, definitely the
- 6:13accident and also surviving cancer when I was 14.
- 6:18So, you know, to, to go back and, and look at my life and the
- 6:23different difficulties and obstacles I've, I've basically
- 6:28worked through, helped me to be able to coach athletes with
- 6:33disabilities, share with them, have some sense of what it's
- 6:37like to be a little bit different than some other
- 6:40people. And I think all those things put
- 6:43together definitely has helped to create a, an environment that
- 6:50they trust me and we we grow from there.
- 6:53And it's not only about the game of baseball, it's, it's, it's
- 6:56about the kind of people they are and, and basically exposing
- 6:59those people, the people in the outside world who may have never
- 7:03had contact with, with a person. But you know, the more you talk
- 7:06to people, there probably is somebody in their life or their
- 7:09extended family friends who have some type of disability.
- 7:13Tony, this I, I was excited to have you on the show.
- 7:16So obviously, first and foremost, appreciate your time,
- 7:18but it's near and dear to my heart.
- 7:21My father was paralyzed on his left side.
- 7:23He got the epidemic of polio in 52 and was never able to walk
- 7:27and was was stricken to a wheelchair in August of 91
- 7:31permanently. And he started League of Human
- 7:35Dignity, which was basically me growing up.
- 7:38And everybody always thought it was different.
- 7:40And I love how you bring it up. It's they're not different.
- 7:43They do things different way just like everybody else does.
- 7:45And have they started the Miracle League, what it's called
- 7:48here? And for anybody, just to, to see
- 7:51smiles on their faces and, and to be able to be a part of that.
- 7:56I, I wish so many people would get an opportunity to see how
- 7:59special not only they are, as who they are, but to look past
- 8:06what they, whether it's CP, whether it's cystic fiber,
- 8:10whatever the case may be, and to see, you know, how strong and
- 8:14how these kids and adults can just, they persevere.
- 8:19And I was so honored and blessed to be my dad's son for all the
- 8:24things that he did for people and allowed them to have an
- 8:27opportunity. I mean, from the time I can
- 8:29remember, I'm loading scooters and, you know, getting to try
- 8:32out all this equipment, excessive technology was another
- 8:35program my dad started for, you know, kids and, and learning how
- 8:38to type and do this other stuff that, you know, couldn't talk
- 8:41and, and then was able to live that normal life.
- 8:44So I was super excited to be able to have you on and, and to
- 8:47hear your perspective of the things you did.
- 8:50And I think you bring up a great point that people don't really
- 8:52understand. Like sometimes they only see the
- 8:55physical limitations of what they are, but there's so many
- 8:57things that that go deeper than that.
- 8:59So hats off to you It, it's been something I've known and done my
- 9:03whole life and I, I wish more people would, would be involved
- 9:06and understand, you know, how important this is because we're
- 9:10all in the same playing field. It doesn't matter if you got,
- 9:12you know, 6 toes if you can't walk.
- 9:14But you know what? To have that opportunity and see
- 9:17smiles on faces, it makes it all worth it.
- 9:19Definitely job it, it's, it comes from the heart.
- 9:22I mean, you, you have a, you know, with, with, with your dad.
- 9:26I mean, I, I see these athletes and work with them and like you
- 9:29said, they may talk a little bit different, look a little bit
- 9:32different, walk a little bit different, but the love that
- 9:35they have and wanting to be a part of something when they're a
- 9:38part of the team, it's one of the most incredible things that
- 9:41you've ever seen. I mean, they, they just, and
- 9:44from being in locker rooms or clubhouses, they want to be
- 9:48treated just like anybody else. When I, when I started to coach
- 9:52them, I was probably too much in terms of coaching them like like
- 9:56a baby and, you know, being a little bit softer.
- 10:00And one said to me, Coach, come on.
- 10:02Well, they don't. They don't like it.
- 10:04No, no, no, I pissed them off. They let me know about it pretty
- 10:09quickly And I, I appreciated that.
- 10:12And now I, I mean, I bust their chops and they give it right
- 10:16back to me. But it's, it's, I love them, you
- 10:19know, they, they, they just give so much.
- 10:23And all it is, is we gave them an opportunity to play a game
- 10:26that they love. And we just got back from Cary,
- 10:29NC and USA Baseball. I started a program with my Co
- 10:34founder Gary Kropovka five years ago called Base Able.
- 10:38And the reason we did that is I'm involved with Special
- 10:41Olympics, but Special Olympics really didn't pick up the
- 10:46baseball as much as I want them to.
- 10:47So we started something on our own and started a nonprofit and
- 10:52all the money goes to the athletes for travel, for
- 10:55uniforms, for equipment, anything that they need and
- 10:59carry. And USA Baseball is incredible.
- 11:02We spent a weekend down there, worked out with the college
- 11:04national team, played an exhibition game in the stadium
- 11:08for our athletes. That's like being in the MLB.
- 11:11It just that they had an absolute great time and it's
- 11:16amazing when when we're sitting in the airport in Durham ready
- 11:20to fly back to Newark. They all sent out some type of
- 11:23thank you, either e-mail, text or letter to USA Baseball.
- 11:28Didn't have to say a word. They were so appreciative of the
- 11:31time and effort that was put into that weekend.
- 11:34Just amazing, incredible people. We are talking to Special
- 11:39Olympics baseball coach and author of Just Need an
- 11:43Opportunity, Tony Vlahovic. You know, Tony, first of all,
- 11:47I've worked with a lot of different kids over the years,
- 11:51autistic actually. We have one right in the studio
- 11:54right now, one of the best in the business broadcasting and
- 11:57that's Speedy, Speedy right here.
- 11:59He's as, as he has Asperger's and he's a guy that has, is one
- 12:04of the best in the business when it comes to autism.
- 12:07It's to me. He's a normal person.
- 12:10He's like anybody else. I don't judge him.
- 12:12Me and him have gone back and forth over the years and Speedy
- 12:15will tell you I've always considered him an equal to me.
- 12:19I don't look at him any differently and I've always
- 12:22respected his talent and his growth in this industry.
- 12:26And I've been around a lot of kids over the years that I've
- 12:29had problems, mental issues, obviously autistic issues.
- 12:33I've never looked at differently.
- 12:35We're all the same. We're all built with the same
- 12:38hands, the same brains, the same everything.
- 12:41Obviously other people are born a little bit differently, but I,
- 12:45I never look at them any differently than anybody else.
- 12:49Now I know you've worked in the Special Olympics.
- 12:52What kind of experience was that working with all these different
- 12:55young guys and kids that are obviously have all the different
- 12:59issues that they have? And what was the what was the
- 13:03push to what was the drive to become a coach for the Special
- 13:07Olympics? It was really that that first
- 13:10meeting and the idea of believing that they, these
- 13:15athletes have never been given the opportunity.
- 13:18What we did was we started with with some open workouts and to
- 13:21be quite honest with there was 90 people in the gym.
- 13:24It was total mayhem. It was, it was craziness and it
- 13:28was just just this wild event. I took some of my high school
- 13:31players with me and they're look at me like, coach, what the hell
- 13:34is going on? But what we did was we we
- 13:38started to develop their skills and their growth and develop
- 13:42those relationships and that really spurred me on.
- 13:46From that point. We set up a league in 2013 with
- 13:51four teams and then pick the team.
- 13:53The Special Olympics have an event called the USA Games,
- 13:57which next year it'll be in Minneapolis and in back in 2014,
- 14:03baseball was an exhibition sport.
- 14:05First time in the 45 year history of Special Olympics
- 14:09baseball was offered and job you'll appreciate this.
- 14:13We actually played a Trenton Thunder stadium with it, with
- 14:16the Yankees used to have their AA ballclub, still do.
- 14:20Yeah, yeah, they, well, they actually moved, they moved out
- 14:24of Trenton, unfortunately, but the we, there were four teams,
- 14:29Alabama, Delaware, Rhode Island and New Jersey.
- 14:34And I coached team New Jersey. We actually played Rhode Island
- 14:37for the gold medal in front of 3000 people.
- 14:41And it was, it was an incredible night.
- 14:44We, we ended up playing the gold medal six to two.
- 14:47There was not a dry ice, dry eye in the house.
- 14:51I mean, it was wild. The fans loved it.
- 14:54The players were, were both teams.
- 14:56You know what we're celebrating. It was just an incredible night.
- 15:00And when you have athletes say to you, coach, this is one of
- 15:03the best nights of my life. Whoever thought, you know, they
- 15:06would start with this large group and now you're wearing a
- 15:10gold medal around your neck and you're representing something
- 15:13that pioneers really across the country.
- 15:17So that was that was one of the the most incredible days in my
- 15:23life. Also to see these guys take a
- 15:25step back and just take it all in and watch them celebrate and
- 15:30then get a police escort back to the College of New Jersey where
- 15:34we were staying. We were rock stars for the
- 15:37night. It was, it was great.
- 15:39But the, the amount of people and the amount of support for
- 15:43for that event was, was just, was just incredible.
- 15:47So I wanted to ask her from like different age group standpoint,
- 15:49because we we interviewed a football player a couple years
- 15:52ago and Dyrell Briggs, who won a Super Bowl with the Packers and
- 15:54he was doing a lot of a lot of Special Olympics type things
- 15:57with youth sports. And we've also seen it now in
- 16:00college and in high schools too. Like what is what do you think
- 16:03has been the impact like throughout like other different
- 16:06age groups that you've seen not just in baseball but in other
- 16:08sports? I I think the the age group is
- 16:13to give you an idea on on that, that Special Olympic USA team, I
- 16:17had 19 athletes on the roster. My youngest was 16, my oldest
- 16:22was 54. Wow.
- 16:23And I think what, what you see is, is that age group has
- 16:27expanded. It's also expanded to to men and
- 16:29women, which is great. So you're, you're creating
- 16:33opportunities that were never there before.
- 16:35I, I think we're, we're still trying to build and we talked
- 16:38about this with USA Baseball today on the grade school and
- 16:42the middle school level and introducing the game at that
- 16:46level and basically creating a, a minor league program across
- 16:50the country to show that these athletes then they can play the
- 16:53game game, introduce it to them, have them develop just like
- 16:58through the Miracle League that that Jabba mentioned.
- 17:00Because the job, the Miracle League actually ages out at like
- 17:0416 and they do an incredible job.
- 17:07They, they, they really do. So we'd like to help those
- 17:11athletes after they age out to be able to continue to play, but
- 17:15that that age span has definitely increased over the
- 17:19years in, in all sports. The, the, I know the NFL does
- 17:23does a lot the NBAML, the professional soccer does a draft
- 17:29every year that, you know, just just incredible.
- 17:32I, I know that the NHL after we played Rhode Island, the the
- 17:36Bruins honored them up in Boston.
- 17:39It just, I, I think it's, it's a great, it's a win win for every
- 17:44professional and college program out there to, to give back.
- 17:49I know that Clemson has, has an extended program for individuals
- 17:54with, with disabilities and, and a graduation.
- 17:57I have some athletes down in South Carolina that attend
- 17:59Coastal Carolina. The athletes down there work
- 18:03with them. We have a program that that
- 18:05we'll do down at the Myrtle Beach Stadium in February called
- 18:10Swing for Inclusion that will have 5 states involved.
- 18:15We did a clinic down there. There was over 100 athletes,
- 18:17invited athletes from the Miracle League.
- 18:20And what we try to do is get our our current athletes that are
- 18:23playing for us to teach part of that clinic, which is, which is
- 18:28really cool that so our athletes love that because now they're
- 18:31giving back and and they're they're giving back to the game
- 18:35and to the sport that they love. Tony, have you?
- 18:38We, we're kind of talking about expanding our brand in, in
- 18:42certain avenues and it's just something we've kind of talked
- 18:45about. Have you ever thought about like
- 18:47as you get these athletes and as you expand, you know, age
- 18:51divisions, rackets, men and women?
- 18:53However, have you ever thought about as it correlates with
- 18:57sports, like being able to join with a company or a foundation
- 19:02or something where not only does it put them in a great place
- 19:06athletically and to be that athlete, but also house them and
- 19:09give them an opportunity to be self-sufficient.
- 19:11And, you know, being like my dad would do a lot of times, you
- 19:15know, a lot of these athletes that he would work with to have
- 19:19a job, to feel part of it, to be a bad grocer, like to team up
- 19:22with, with something where, you know, because sometimes they
- 19:26feel like, and, and I've come into counter with this, where
- 19:28when the season's over, it's like it's the end of the world,
- 19:31you know, sometimes to them, because that's what they have.
- 19:34But then to still feel a part of something as a team to like, I
- 19:39guess join and, and be able to use what they've learned, you
- 19:43know, being an athlete and growing in that way.
- 19:45But so in life, to be self-sufficient and the things
- 19:48that they learned on the field, to take them to be able to to
- 19:51live and grow not only as an athlete but as a person.
- 19:55Absolutely, there are a lot of our athletes actually work at
- 19:58places like UPS, Amazon. So, so they're, they're, they're
- 20:02part of something. But yes, they, they, a lot of
- 20:05them are, they're incorporating job coaches to help them out,
- 20:10which is, which is excellent. So we've talked about that, you
- 20:14know, trying to get more companies involved because
- 20:18again, I, I really believe it's, it's, it's a win win.
- 20:22When I had a business in in Princeton, NJ, I always had a
- 20:26few people with disabilities who work for me, probably some of
- 20:30the best employees I had. They were never late.
- 20:33They appreciated everything that you did and, and they were just,
- 20:37they were just a lot of fun. One of my employees who had Down
- 20:41syndrome asked every woman in the place to marry him.
- 20:44So we had to calm that down a little bit.
- 20:47But it was he, he was great, had a great personality, just the
- 20:52way that they, as you mentioned, being part of a team, you want
- 20:56to expand that, you want to take that to their life and use that
- 21:00the skills that they learned playing ball in their life
- 21:03skills and their relationships. And I, I, I've seen that improve
- 21:09on a lot of different levels for them, starting at, you know,
- 21:12being part of a team, learning how to give, you know, learning
- 21:16how to interact with people, learning how to communicate a
- 21:19little bit better, learning to listen a little bit more, and
- 21:23then taking that out in the world and having their own
- 21:26relationship and also with, with work.
- 21:29And once, once you see people respond like that, you know that
- 21:34you're on to something, you know, and in my opinion that,
- 21:38that that's only going to grow. And if you can continue to, to
- 21:43present that and put that out there for people saying, Hey,
- 21:46you can do this and that confidence builds and then they
- 21:51take the others just like that, that positive peer pressure, we
- 21:54can do this. And then they, they start to
- 21:57take their friends and say, Hey, I have a friend who could work
- 22:00here, you know, can you, can you interview him?
- 22:03So working on, on all those skills.
- 22:06But you know, I, I've seen that evolution from back in 2012 and
- 22:11just continued with, with, with the growth of, of these people
- 22:16in general, on and off the field.
- 22:19You know, it, it, like you said, there's a ton of smiles and you
- 22:23know, you get it. It's from the heart and and they
- 22:26give it back to you in spades. I've you have a bad day and they
- 22:30come up and I don't think I've ever been hugged that much in my
- 22:33life in a weekend like when we go to Carrie, just very thankful
- 22:38that the smiles on their faces. It just, it just changes, change
- 22:42your world, changed my life in in so many ways, in so many
- 22:46positive ways. I think it's amazing.
- 22:48I think everything that you've done is absolutely amazing.
- 22:51I, I, again, my, my, my nephew is, has Asperger's and I'm
- 22:56trying to teach him camaraderie. I, I've, I made him join the
- 22:59Long Island elite and he, he's playing with all these top
- 23:02football players right now in Long Island.
- 23:04He's never played football. He's just built big.
- 23:07He's like a truck. And I told him you're going to
- 23:09learn camaraderie. And once you learn how to be a
- 23:12team and you work together as an offensive lineman, everything
- 23:15works together. And he's starting to really
- 23:18understand it. And he he was very, very quiet.
- 23:21He didn't really like to be interactive with people.
- 23:24He would sit in front of his TV all day long.
- 23:27And I was like, you got to get out and about.
- 23:28You got to hang out and you got to get to know people and, and
- 23:32be more commutative. And ever since he started doing
- 23:35that, it's been a couple of weeks.
- 23:36I think he's opened up so many opportunities and ways where he
- 23:41can communicate and become friendly with other people.
- 23:44And I think it's great. And I'm so happy to watch him
- 23:47grow as a young man, 13 years old and he's still so much left
- 23:52and life to understand a little bit more about how to work as a
- 23:56team. So I, I think it's a great
- 23:58story. I, I love everything about you,
- 24:00Tony. And you know, when Nathan told
- 24:02me that we were going to get you on the show, I think it's just
- 24:04all the things that you're doing.
- 24:06It's remarkable. It's great.
- 24:09And, and to me, we're doing, we're starting and like Jabba
- 24:12was saying, we're working on a nonprofit organization where
- 24:15we're with figuring out names and how we're going to put it
- 24:18together. We would love to bring you in
- 24:20with us to to help us build our nonprofit organization because
- 24:24you're so highly connected in so many different ways with so many
- 24:28different communities. And I think it would absolutely
- 24:31help us. I would help you in a heartbeat.
- 24:34I would be honored that that that would be great.
- 24:36I I would do anything I could to to help you guys get get started
- 24:41as as you know, I, I can just from from talking with you
- 24:45today, I can see where you guys are coming from and, and again,
- 24:49it's coming from the heart. You guys have have a great show.
- 24:52You have an audience and that helps out also to get that
- 24:55message out there. But yeah, anything you need, I I
- 25:00would, I would definitely be a part of that We.
- 25:02Would love for you to be one of the, one of the guys.
- 25:04What you're doing right now is remarkable.
- 25:07I think when, when we're, you know, Jabba was talking about
- 25:10working with autism and working with many different
- 25:13organizations. I think what you do in the
- 25:15Special Olympics and, and all the connections that you have, I
- 25:18think it would be just so great for you to come and communicate
- 25:21with some of the, the families and, and all the different
- 25:24people that are going to be at these events.
- 25:25And I, I would love for you to be one of the spokesman of our
- 25:28nonprofit organization. I would love that.
- 25:32I would absolutely love that. Thank you.
- 25:34That, that, that, that would be, that would be great.
- 25:37I, I, in fact, I, I just talking about another population, the
- 25:42younger population. I just finished writing a book
- 25:45for kids and it's, it's, we're working with the illustrator
- 25:50now. And basically what we're talking
- 25:52about is the acceptance of kids who are a little bit different.
- 25:57And when I'm writing, when I was writing it, I didn't come out
- 25:59and say that they had some type of disability.
- 26:02It just different. They were different.
- 26:05And you know, they, they went and they got a letter from
- 26:08Special Olympics. They, they won the gold medal.
- 26:11And I am hoping that for like 4 to 8 year old kids that that
- 26:15it's taken in by schools and accept it, you know, with with
- 26:18with, you know, a much shorter book, but it's a version of what
- 26:22I wrote in my first book. And I want to reach out to a
- 26:26different population and I think that's really important,
- 26:30starting with with younger people and progressing through.
- 26:34Well, I will say this, we all have disabilities just because.
- 26:37We're. We, everyone of us, I, if you
- 26:39watch this show, you would know if you watch this show, you
- 26:42would know I have a disability. I'm absolutely nuts.
- 26:45So anybody that's seen this show knows one of my my, my damn
- 26:50goal, but I, I do appreciate you.
- 26:52I definitely will reach out to Nathan.
- 26:54We definitely would love to get connected with you and as we're
- 26:58working on marketing and a name of our nonprofit organization,
- 27:02once we get it set up, we would love to get you involved with
- 27:05it. We really appreciate the time.
- 27:06I I love what you're doing. Congratulations on all the great
- 27:09things you're doing. Keep up the good work and we'll
- 27:11talk to you soon. Definitely.
- 27:13Hey, thank you for the opportunity to come on your
- 27:15show. I really appreciate it.
- 27:16You guys are great. Thank you very much.
- 27:19The one and only Tony Vlahovic. I'm good with the names, baby.
- 27:24It rolls off the tongue. Vlahovic.
- 27:27Beautiful. Vlahovic speedy one time little
- 27:31enthusiasm. That was this smile.
- 27:34Little little. Dahovic, Speedy, do you play
- 27:38baseball? I'm going to try to recruit you
- 27:39to play one. Of the worst Little League
- 27:41baseball players. No, no, no.
- 27:44Look, now we, we, we, we can work on that.
- 27:46I that's I've heard that before. We we, we, we.
- 27:50We have. We have our ways.
- 27:52Tony, one of the best play by play guys you will ever meet.
- 27:57I'm telling you right now, he will blow anybody out of the
- 28:00water. This guy can go to a stadium,
- 28:02football, baseball, hockey, anything.
- 28:05Get a list of guys, get information about those guys and
- 28:08bring it to life. I do the color all the time.
- 28:10He does the play by play people like think like we're like
- 28:14professional guys that they hired.
- 28:16It's it's unbelievable. He is sensational.
- 28:18He's going to be one of the best.
- 28:19I I do believe that in the future, but.
- 28:22You know what we could do is put together an exhibition game and
- 28:25have you guys do that? Absolutely.
- 28:27We would love it. And Jabba will be in the
- 28:29background telling him, oh, Tony wasn't doing that.
- 28:32Oh, Tony wasn't doing that. Oh, Tony wasn't doing that.
- 28:35John will be working on the he'll he'll get the Jabba Rules
- 28:38jerseys ready. That's right.
- 28:41He's getting it. I saw that.
- 28:43I saw that film of, of that great catch you made against the
- 28:46Cleveland Indians at the time. Oh I love.
- 28:50It yeah. Athlete maybe?
- 28:53I'm going. That's right, that's right.
- 28:54Hey, pitchers, I was a pitcher too.
- 28:57I'm going to show that. I'm going to show that clip to
- 29:00my guys. They will go crazy with that.
- 29:03Believe it, Joba is not an athlete.
- 29:05Anyways, we love you, Tony. We'll talk to you soon, buddy.
- 29:10Hey, great. Thank you.
- 29:11Thank you guys. Have a great one.
- 29:12Tony Vlahovic, fantastic book writer.
- 29:17Olympic. Yeah, Special Olympics coach,
- 29:20great interview, just great inside of what he's doing right
- 29:23now in the industry. And I, Nathan, a slam dunk.
- 29:28I definitely want to get him involved with the nonprofit
- 29:30organization job. I'm sure you do too.
- 29:33And it's going to be fun, what we're going to be doing.
- 29:35We'd love to help kids. Christmas, Thanksgiving, all the
- 29:38holidays are right around the corner.
- 29:40This is this is a great time to really put out our product
- 29:43center stage for all the fans to get to know us and get to know
- 29:47what we want to do to help other people and, and so many
- 29:50different people out there that need our help and, and need
- 29:53people's help. So I'm interested to see what we
- 29:56can do in the long run. It was cool.
- 29:59I mean, it's right up my alley, really.
- 30:00I mean, that's the only thing I've ever known, you know,
- 30:02loading, loading scooters, doing stuff like that.
- 30:05So yeah, it was really cool having him on, like his
- 30:07perspective and obviously, you know him, you know, doing what
- 30:11he's done. And, you know, it's exciting for
- 30:13me to see people doing this because for me it was, for me,
- 30:16it was normal, you know, and I know normal's not a word, but
- 30:20for me, that's all I. Ever knew?
- 30:21I don't even know what the word normal.
- 30:23I don't. Think any different layers.
- 30:24Being normal. I mean, people look at me and
- 30:27they're like, oh, there he is. I mean, when I walk through the
- 30:29hospital every single day, people are like trying to use
- 30:32their binoculars and try to send them, send me away to another
- 30:35room. So that's not that's not a lie,
- 30:37ladies and gentlemen, that is true.
- 30:38True story. But yeah, I would like to thank
- 30:41Tony for joining us. It was a great interview and I'd
- 30:43just like to hear what he has to say and what he's doing.
- 30:46By the way, Joplin, you know what's not normal?
- 30:48You not wearing glasses tonight. That my friend.
- 30:52I was running everywhere. There's limbs everywhere, so I
- 30:56was like, I wasn't wearing my glasses.
- 30:57I wouldn't work it out. I'm completely like I.
- 31:01My eyes are getting dry right now, so probably next sportsman.
- 31:05I'm sure you weren't trying to cry or something.
- 31:06I think you were trying to. Cry.
- 31:08No. Not yet, no.
- 31:09I just want to let everybody know we do have another guest
- 31:12and a little bit in in just a little while, we would be
- 31:14talking to Bob Rathbin. He actually is the lead
- 31:17broadcaster for the Atlanta Hawks, the Atlanta Dream, and
- 31:21does a lot of college and football, basketball stuff so
- 31:24also. Used to be also used to be with
- 31:25the Braves Java. Yes, Hall of Famer, by the way.
- 31:28Play by play guy. So Bob will be joining us.
- 31:31I didn't say that in the beginning because I wanted to
- 31:33surprise people. But yes, we have another guest
- 31:36lined up for you guys. It's going to be fun.
- 31:38I'm sure he his interest to Kristaps Porzingis as he is a
- 31:42new Hawk and Trey Young who I can't I can't stand so.
- 31:46You still like it more than. Kristoff Absolutely.
- 31:49I can't stand both of them, so it's two players I can't stand
- 31:52on one team. So anyways, we call the next
- 31:55segment Speedy 6 Pack. Let's have a sixer.
- 32:00Hey, who wants to play? Drink the beer.
- 32:02It's time for the Speedy 6 Pack of the week.
- 32:06He tastes himself. Well, before we get to the six
- 32:09pack today, we have some picks from West, courtesy of the.
- 32:12CFL. Like he usually does, he's got.
- 32:15Tomorrow night. Winnipeg covering -6 1/2 at home
- 32:19against the Ottawa Red Blacks Friday night, 9:00 on the road.
- 32:23He's got Toronto covering against.
- 32:25Edwin. On Saturday, he's got
- 32:28Saskatchewan Chaz favorite team. Bagel. -3 against Hamilton.
- 32:33And then? The night game on Saturday -3
- 32:361/2 against Montreal. Droba Smack Magas Droba.
- 32:41Hey, Speedy Droba. Before we get started.
- 32:44I know you told me we don't have any Travis Hunter stuff, but I
- 32:47wanted to follow up on a story we had about Travis Hunter
- 32:50loving wanting to be called the Unicorn.
- 32:52We got a live shot earlier in the day.
- 32:56Let's not of Travis Hunter the Unicorn.
- 32:59Oh my goodness. Image right there created by.
- 33:04Grok. Oh my God, are you telling me
- 33:07that that guy looks like that? I mean, could you imagine?
- 33:11First of all, he. Is that's good.
- 33:12That's good, by the way. That is really good.
- 33:15I asked it to combine a regular picture of him holding a
- 33:19football with a Unicorn and the gremlin from the movie and it
- 33:23did a great job. That's an impressive job by.
- 33:26AI when I see him again and there will be a time that I
- 33:29actually see Travis again. I saw him at the the Heisman
- 33:33Trophy awards. When I see Travis again, I'm
- 33:35going to say stop calling yourself the Unicorn.
- 33:37You're the gremlin, all right? You're the gremlin.
- 33:40I'm actually going to get this picture.
- 33:42I'm going to say here, I got a picture of you gremlin style,
- 33:45baby. You want to be a Unicorn?
- 33:46We'll just put it together and you could be a My Little Pony
- 33:49gremlin. There you go.
- 33:50Because that's what it looks like, My Little Pony with a
- 33:53little gremlin and you know, a little gremlin take on that one.
- 33:56All right, sweetie, you ready? All right, here we go.
- 33:59Number six. All right, we'll.
- 34:00Start with. I never heard Travis.
- 34:02Kelsey in honor of a Taylor Swift being on his podcast
- 34:04tonight, he claims that production slipped the last two
- 34:07years because of entertainment value.
- 34:09He hasn't had 1000 yard seasons since dating Taylor Swift.
- 34:12Not me 2023. Thoughts.
- 34:16Travis Kelsey making excuses. Come on, hold the excuses.
- 34:22You haven't played well for one reason.
- 34:24You put on weight. And here's another thing.
- 34:27The fact is, you don't care anymore.
- 34:29You won your Super Bowls. You made your money.
- 34:32You're buying and opening up restaurants with Patrick Mahomes
- 34:35in Kansas City, buying real estate and sleeping with Taylor
- 34:39Swift. Who's better than you?
- 34:40Oh, and by the way, just made $100 million off your podcast.
- 34:45I don't know why you're still playing football.
- 34:48Making excuses only tells me one thing.
- 34:52It tells me that you're finding ways to cry about something that
- 34:55means nothing. You shouldn't be playing.
- 34:57You shouldn't be playing professional football anymore.
- 35:00And the NFL is going to tell you that this year when you don't
- 35:02even put up 800 yards. Travis Kelce is done, ladies and
- 35:06gentlemen. Put up fork in him.
- 35:09You didn't like his GQ photo shoot?
- 35:10No, dude, first of all, he put on a lot of weight that, that
- 35:16mustache. You look, I don't know what he's
- 35:18trying to do right now. His look is just completely off.
- 35:22And I even on, you know, Happy Gilmore, everybody said he was
- 35:26funny. I didn't find him to be very
- 35:27funny at all. I mean, I, I just, I, I'm not a
- 35:31big Travis Kelsey fan. And ever since he started dating
- 35:34Taylor Swift, I can't stand him even more.
- 35:36I, I, I, he's a Swifty. Anybody's a Swifty.
- 35:39I can't. I'd be a Swifty too if I got 1.3
- 35:43million people to watch my Taylor Swift episode.
- 35:46Which he within one hour of them releasing it.
- 35:51Neutral don't want. To be crazy speedy. #5.
- 35:55James Cook gets paid by the Bills today.
- 35:56Four years, 48 million dollars, $30 million guaranteed. 8th in
- 36:00yards per carry, 12th and rushing yards, and 6th in
- 36:02touchdown since the Bills fired Ken Dorsey and hired Joe Brady
- 36:05in 23. How about handing him the ball
- 36:09in an AFC title game? How about that?
- 36:12How about in the fourth quarter when you were absolutely killing
- 36:15them and I'm talking about Kansas City, Why weren't you
- 36:18handing it to James Cook and now you're paying him, You better
- 36:21start handing him the ball in the big games because to me, it
- 36:24was absolutely embarrassing in Buffalo right now.
- 36:27This year has a chance to go to the Super Bowl.
- 36:29They had a chance last year. I think they're even better than
- 36:32they were last year with some of the the acquisitions they made
- 36:34in the offseason. They're better defensive team.
- 36:36They have a federal offensive line.
- 36:38I think they have they've built it.
- 36:40They built their team around the trenches where you're going and
- 36:44and very well coached team. So I, I, Josh Allen's actually
- 36:47married now. So a lot to prove with marriage
- 36:50and he's getting. By.
- 36:51The way, is anybody watching Hard Knocks?
- 36:54Yeah, I was going to say Errol, I've, I just watched the second
- 36:56episode before we started that. Not only is it good they they've
- 37:01never really featured a good team on Hard Knocks or a team
- 37:04that was going to be good that year.
- 37:06It's always controversy. Yeah, it's good.
- 37:08It's they look awesome and they didn't play great, But I'll tell
- 37:12you what, I I didn't expect Sean McDermott to come off as good as
- 37:15he has so far. He he seems like the real.
- 37:18Deal Everything that I've read about Sean McDermott is he's a
- 37:21player's coach. He comes off being, you know, on
- 37:24the football field mean but outside of the game of football,
- 37:28very connected to his players. And you can see that at a Hard
- 37:31Knocks. He has a lot of love for his
- 37:33guys. He's a father figure to his guys
- 37:36and I I love what I see with Sean McDermott.
- 37:38I think this is a great opportunity to see one of the
- 37:41best other teams in the NFL really develop into that Super
- 37:44Bowl contender. So it's been fun.
- 37:46The first two episodes have been really, really good.
- 37:49I haven't seen, I haven't seen the second one.
- 37:50Is it good? Yeah, it's.
- 37:51Good. They focus on the guy who made
- 37:54their team last year. That's a local kid and they call
- 37:56him Buffalo Joe. He's a linebacker, Joe.
- 37:59Pretty cool, Speedy. #4 all. Right, kind of a more silly 1.
- 38:03So Odell Beckham allegedly retired.
- 38:05Now it comes out to today and says he's not retired.
- 38:08All these things are a fake. And I mean, is he really?
- 38:12Is he retired or not? He just had 580 yards since his
- 38:14injury in the Super Bowl. So he's pretty much retired at
- 38:17this point. But what are your thoughts?
- 38:18Odell, he's a pretty boy. He likes to go to card shows.
- 38:24I've seen him over there playing poker.
- 38:26We were in my, I'm sorry, we were in Louisiana.
- 38:28We saw him jump into his car. He's all over to place Odell.
- 38:32He really is. And he loses his ring in a in a
- 38:35pond. What was it a 2 point $2.5
- 38:39million ring or whatever it costs?
- 38:41I mean the guy. Oh, and by the way, getting on
- 38:43his hands and knees and praying to a net.
- 38:45I mean the guy pissing on logos. I mean this guy's full of
- 38:49antics. I, I think the game is past
- 38:52them. I think he's a great
- 38:53personality. I would have liked to see him in
- 38:56Happy Gilmore town. I I would have liked to see him
- 38:58in a movie. I dated Kardashian hanging out
- 39:02and smoking trees and doing whatever he's doing.
- 39:05Maybe he's hanging out with Stefan Digs in the offseason.
- 39:08I have no idea. Was he one of the guys on the
- 39:10boat? Yes.
- 39:11He was absolutely one of the guys on the.
- 39:14Boat the entire receiver and corner room.
- 39:16Him and Bieber bus buzz Him and Bieber best buzz with P Diddy
- 39:20the old didster, the diddler. Now the real question.
- 39:22Since Generous Jenkins was on the boat, were there any dead
- 39:26bodies we don't know about? Oh boy, here's the boat for you.
- 39:32Just they basically were terrible for a decade after that
- 39:35picture. Chicks with Dicks.
- 39:37Just the curse of this picture is just we're still trying to
- 39:40get out for Monster. Stick a finger in his.
- 39:42Ass. Let's move on, Speedy.
- 39:43Hold on, but by the way that picture, did you notice like
- 39:45half of them are wearing jeans? Dude, it's, it's a bunch of wild
- 39:51fits here going on as well. Like, yeah, I'm just going to
- 39:54pose like I'm an Abercrombie. Who?
- 39:56The hell is at the end of the boat looking like he's about to
- 39:59jerk off of something. I mean seriously, look at them
- 40:02with. The standing up.
- 40:04That's Sterling Shepherd. No, not standing up on the
- 40:06bottom. The last guy on the bottom left?
- 40:09Who's that? That I don't know.
- 40:12I don't. It's me.
- 40:14How about the random chicks just in the back with like a drink in
- 40:18her phone? Yeah, that's Haley.
- 40:20That's Haley. I'm gonna get myself a let's.
- 40:24Hope, let's hope Odell goes to the right types of parties and
- 40:27not the one with the Music man that's now in some legal
- 40:30trouble. You want to jerking off?
- 40:32#3. I got to go back off the major.
- 40:36Injury is returning, the 49ers say Brandon IU Week 6 return for
- 40:40him. How much will that slow the
- 40:4249ers in the beginning of the season?
- 40:46I got news for you guys. The 49ers done, Kyle Shanahan
- 40:51done, Robert Bambi Sala done that organization done making
- 40:57the playoffs is a no no. There's no way that team's
- 41:00making the playoffs this year. I unless Christian McCaffrey
- 41:03goes crazy this year and breaks records, I do not see that team.
- 41:08They don't have they depot's not there.
- 41:10George Kittle just got an extension.
- 41:12I George Kittle is not the same George Kittle.
- 41:14He had a good year last year. I don't expect him to put up the
- 41:17numbers that he put up last year.
- 41:19And they have no wide receiver. There's not a number one on this
- 41:24team. They're number twos.
- 41:25There's not number ones. You know what this reminds me of
- 41:29the New England Patriots. That's what it reminds me of an
- 41:32absolute debacle. And by the way, Brock pretty
- 41:34just got a lot of money. Good luck on that.
- 41:37Who's he throwing the ball to? And the offensive line, A bunch
- 41:40of old guys. They got one young guy on that
- 41:42offensive line. What a joke.
- 41:44Kyle Shanahan. You better be looking for a new
- 41:46job because it's not going to last over there.
- 41:48And where's Owen when you need them?
- 41:50Where's Owen? Where's that dress?
- 41:52So a withdrawal of the Brock Purdy contract?
- 41:54I want to see that dress. I definitely got to see him in
- 41:57that dress. First of all, Jabba, have you
- 41:59spoken to Owen? How is Owen?
- 42:02All the time. Yeah.
- 42:03They, Yeah, just got a just got back and then his dog just had a
- 42:09surgery on its eye. Actually he just got yeah, like
- 42:13I'll know what it was. It wasn't like a cherry eye, but
- 42:16it's like, it was like a sack that like grew up into like the
- 42:20eye. Oh, man.
- 42:21And like so they had to cut out like the whole like membrane
- 42:24like into into her eye job. Some breeds of dogs have trouble
- 42:29with the eyes. It's.
- 42:30Just a thing. It's a Cane Corso.
- 42:32British Bulldogs have that too. But Jabba, tell Owen I reached
- 42:37out to him. I hope everything's OK.
- 42:38I wanted to make sure that everything is good and and
- 42:41hopefully soon we can get him on and have a little conversation
- 42:45about his boring 49ers. Yeah.
- 42:48Oh yeah. #2 so. That's funny, Nathan just
- 42:51brought up the Giants and Jets training camp in the private
- 42:53chat. They have the joy practices.
- 42:54Russell Wilson and Justin Fields says they talk all the time.
- 42:57Allegedly no ill will with them despite their quarterback
- 42:59battles in in Pittsburgh, reuniting and joint practices
- 43:03now in different teams. What are your thoughts of both
- 43:05of these two? Q BS.
- 43:07Oh my God, first of all, Justin Fields looks great.
- 43:10I love what Justin Fields is saying at practices.
- 43:13He's going out there. He feels good about himself.
- 43:15I think obviously the coaching staff is working with him,
- 43:19something that Justin Fields never got.
- 43:20Aaron Glenn has been so good for his his personality and his
- 43:26growth. I I think that's something that
- 43:28Justin Fields has been craving for since he was a first round
- 43:31draft pick. I think he's going to fit very,
- 43:33very well with the at the New York Jets.
- 43:35I think The Jets have something there and Aaron Glenn at just
- 43:38his press conferences just explain a little bit more about
- 43:42he who he is as a personality and something what Robert Sala
- 43:45wasn't, by the way, with no whistles at practice and being
- 43:48an absolute Jackass. So thank God Bambi is gone.
- 43:51As far as the one and only Aaron Rodgers.
- 43:54Well, there's a lot to talk about when it comes to him.
- 43:57The only thing I could say is he's married to his hand named
- 44:00Brittany. That's a about it.
- 44:01I still have not seen a picture of his his wife.
- 44:05Nobody knows besides her first name, which is kind of fishy to
- 44:09me. Mike Tomlin.
- 44:10Love his press conferences, by the way.
- 44:12Oh, Aaron's been great. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 44:14He's good with the players. He's good with the line.
- 44:16Yeah. What?
- 44:18How many Dicks are you sucking? OK, Mike, please.
- 44:22I mean, seriously, I am so tired of hearing of Aaron.
- 44:26Aaron Rodgers and his name. And I, I don't usually lose use
- 44:30words like that, not on this show.
- 44:32But the fact is Aaron Rodgers is a complete joke.
- 44:35He absolutely hurt the growth to some of the young players with
- 44:38the New York Jets. And what do you think he's going
- 44:40to do over there with the Pittsburgh Steelers with the
- 44:42young talent that they have over there?
- 44:44Well, Mike Tomlin is going to be looking for a new job in the
- 44:46offseason. They're not making the playoffs.
- 44:48That team is not making the playoffs.
- 44:50A joke, that's about it. The only thing I like is walk
- 44:53out his contract. I love that kid love everything
- 44:56about him. I love his training.
- 44:57Has anybody go checked out his workouts on YouTube?
- 45:01That guy is an absolute beast go check out his workout plan on
- 45:06YouTube. I, I, I don't I'm a workout
- 45:09phenomenon. I don't think I could do half
- 45:11the stuff that he is doing right now so.
- 45:14Like James Harrison asked. Or what?
- 45:16Work. Even crazier.
- 45:18Stuff. Even crazier stuff.
- 45:20I'm telling you, even crazier. Stuff that's tough.
- 45:23Even Bo Jackson would carry like a moose on his shoulders over a.
- 45:26Man dude, that's how. Dude what is doing push ups
- 45:31like? Like a handstand doing handstand
- 45:33push ups at his side, Handstand push ups at his side.
- 45:37Some P90X type stuff back in the day.
- 45:39At his size, I mean, I'm talking about it's crazy.
- 45:42It's about 265 lbs of muscle and he's doing that like I think he
- 45:47was doing it like 2530 times. It's ridiculous.
- 45:49It's. Ridiculous.
- 45:50All right, Speedy, let's bring it.
- 45:51Home number one, I'll. Make it quick, as our guess is
- 45:54in too. It's funny.
- 45:55It's about Aaron Rodgers now. He says the new helmets are like
- 45:57spaceships, fish. There's probably a potential
- 45:59future graphic for that, but that's the Aaron Rodgers
- 46:02complaining about helmets. What else is he going to
- 46:05complain about? The cups that they're wearing
- 46:07now or the cups that he doesn't wear as we know the story over
- 46:11there in Green Bay, two years into his career when he was
- 46:15caught rolling around without a cup on.
- 46:18I mean, Aaron's going to complain about something.
- 46:21He's going to say something, he's going to complain about
- 46:23something. And it's only going to get worse
- 46:25as the season progressively moves forward.
- 46:27The guy's a Jackass. Love him as a player. 10 years
- 46:30of his career was just absolutely extraordinary.
- 46:32I just don't think that this guy should be speaking.
- 46:34I think it's just a zipper, his mouth and play football or host
- 46:38Jeopardy or something. I don't want to hear his big
- 46:40mouth anymore. Some of the stuff he believes I
- 46:45I felt that he wanted to be beamed up anyway with this
- 46:47spaceship. That guy's kind of wild and out
- 46:49there speedy. Nice six pack.
- 46:52Make sure you recycle. All right, so we have a new
- 46:55segment, ladies and gentlemen. I think Mr. Bob Rathbin is going
- 46:59to like this. He's a little bit older, so I
- 47:01think he's going to like this. We call this in like Flynn.
- 47:05My lady, I've often heard that you'd give me a warm welcome if
- 47:07ever we met again. In like flan, flan, flan, yes,
- 47:17ladies and gentlemen. So I we've been kind of figuring
- 47:20out what we were going to talk about for the first segment of
- 47:23in like Flynn. And what we're going to do with
- 47:26this is pretty simple. I'm going to give you I'm going
- 47:29to give a topic and I'm going to go through it my top ten and I'm
- 47:33going to tell you if it's in or it's out.
- 47:36So here we go. So I read today a ranking for
- 47:41sports stadiums and ballparks, NFLMLBNBA stadiums and
- 47:47ballparks. I've got the top ten right here.
- 47:50I'm going to tell you if I'm in with going to check them out or
- 47:53out because I don't want to go and check them out because
- 47:55they're probably terrible stadiums.
- 47:58All right, you guys ready? Lambeau Field is number one on
- 48:04the list. I'm going to say I'm in on check
- 48:08in Lambeau Field. I want to see those naked guys
- 48:11in the audience wearing no shirts, dancing and prancing
- 48:14around in the playoffs when it's below 0.
- 48:17It's interesting to me to go and check out the wonderful stadium
- 48:21of Lambeau Field, PNC Park. I've been to PNC Park
- 48:26Pittsburgh, one of the nicest parks in baseball right now.
- 48:31I don't think, and Jabba will will say that.
- 48:33I think everybody would tell you PNC Park is one of the best
- 48:36parks. So I'm going to give that thumbs
- 48:39up. They're in.
- 48:41All right, the next one, Camden Yards, Baltimore #3 that would
- 48:47be a no for me. Ladies and gentlemen, Baltimore,
- 48:50disgusting place to be. I hate Baltimore, MD.
- 48:55I do like that it's built right by the water.
- 48:58But to me, I, I don't want to see home runs getting smacked
- 49:02out of the stadium. I mean, when you hear Gleber
- 49:04Torres hitting nineteen home runs in a season tells me one
- 49:06thing. It's just it's not a stadium I
- 49:08want to go and check out. Oracle Park, ladies and
- 49:12gentlemen, is number. I'm sorry.
- 49:13No, not Oracle Park. Butch, is that Busch Stadium?
- 49:17Busch Stadium, Saint Louis. I'm absolutely in on the
- 49:22stadium. I always wanted to see Albert
- 49:24pool holes play over there with Saint Louis when they were at
- 49:27the top of their game and when they won their World Series over
- 49:31there and when he was the best bright handed hitter in
- 49:33baseball. So I'm going to put two thumbs
- 49:36up. I'm in.
- 49:38All right, right, Oracle park #5 San Francisco, the house that
- 49:43yes, Barry Bonds built. The answer would be absolutely
- 49:50yes. I'm going to say yes.
- 49:51I, I love the the boats. I love the home runs going into
- 49:55the water. I would love the opportunity to
- 49:58go swim and go grab myself a nice home run ball.
- 50:03All right, number six, Mr. Seattle Lumnin Lumen Field.
- 50:11I'm trying to get it because it's a little small over here
- 50:13and I'm trying to bring it up over here because I got a list
- 50:15over here and it's very, very small.
- 50:17Lumen Field, Seattle. I love Seattle.
- 50:20Anybody go to Seattle? It is fantastic over there,
- 50:23Beautiful city, rainy. The answer would be no thumbs
- 50:27down. I'm not going to Seattle.
- 50:29It's garbage. It's rainy.
- 50:31I'm not going Fenway Park #7 been to Fenway, can't stand the
- 50:36Boston people call me the Green Monster.
- 50:40I'm not heading over there. I'm not going there ever again.
- 50:43My answer is no thumbs down. Wrigley Field, Never been there.
- 50:49That's number eight. An absolute thumbs up.
- 50:52I would love to go check out Wrigley Field.
- 50:54It's a beautiful stadium. 1 of the oldest stadiums right now in
- 50:57professional baseball. Love to go and check that out.
- 51:01Target Field, Minnesota. There's nothing to do in
- 51:05Minnesota. It's cold, it's damp.
- 51:09I I've been there before. I've never been to their new
- 51:11stadium. It sounds like a beautiful
- 51:13stadium. The answer would be an absolute
- 51:16no for me and let's go Progressive Field, ladies and
- 51:23gentlemen, I'm going to just go with Progressive Field.
- 51:26And the answer would be an absolute no.
- 51:29So there you go. That ladies and gentlemen is in
- 51:33like Flynn and I. I will say this, Lambeau Fields
- 51:36is a place I want to see PNC Park.
- 51:38I was there Camden Yards getaway I I would love to go and check
- 51:42out Busch Stadium one day in my life and Wrigley Field.
- 51:46Out of all those that list, those are the stadiums I go
- 51:49check out. And by the way, Joppa, you've
- 51:50been to half these places. You've been to Camden Yards,
- 51:54You've been to Bush. I've been to all of them.
- 51:57Oh, you really? You've been to Lambo too?
- 51:59Really. Yeah, you know, yeah.
- 52:01And then the only stadium in baseball I didn't.
- 52:04Obviously the new Braves is the only one I hadn't I didn't play
- 52:09in. Dude the list is crazy.
- 52:11They gave the top 100 stadiums. You know where MetLife is on the
- 52:15list, guys. The 70s. 61. 61 out of what?
- 52:22190 Ninety stadiums guess the. Bottom third.
- 52:26Guess who has the worst out of all the stadiums?
- 52:29Worst. Stadium Tropicana.
- 52:30Fields. Go ahead.
- 52:32What sport? What sport?
- 52:34Football. Wow.
- 52:36Not Tropicana Field. I would say Tropicana Field for
- 52:39sure. What did you say, Washington?
- 52:41Washington Commander's fields. Do you know second?
- 52:46I was gonna say the Raiders, but they're not there anymore.
- 52:48They they were pretty pretty worn down for.
- 52:50A while Oakland. I'm just gonna keep saying
- 52:52Tropicana fields. Oakland ODOT Co Yeah, those are
- 52:56the I love pitching there. So they no one, no one, no one
- 53:00plays there though anymore, right?
- 53:02No, not, no, no, no. Those are now.
- 53:04It's not. If you go to likemlb.com,
- 53:07instead of like saying like Oakland, it just says Athletics.
- 53:11It doesn't say anything else. You know where Yankee Stadium
- 53:15is. I'm gonna go top.
- 53:18Same middle like dead middle. No, I'm gonna go 2029.
- 53:24Say 48. 42. Speedy, how about you scoops?
- 53:29I'm gonna go around job, I'm gonna say 30 flat.
- 53:32That's you've got both close 37 Yankee Stadium 37.
- 53:37So there you go, top. Half top half.
- 53:39Yeah, what's the, what's the what's #1?
- 53:41Number one is Lambeau Field. You know where the Mets City
- 53:44Field is. Should be pretty high.
- 53:46They're higher, I would say like 21.
- 53:47The speedier, almost dead. 21 Blackjack for real.
- 53:52He's almost dead. Yeah, almost dead, Right?
- 53:54Almost. 2020, 3/20/2020. City Field Stadium.
- 53:59Good stadium. And these are all voted by all
- 54:03the media guys that obviously work in the media world.
- 54:06So and I was looking at it and I wanted to figure out what we're
- 54:08going to do in like Flynn. So I'm going to go thumbs up,
- 54:11thumbs down, in or out. So I those are the the top 10
- 54:16stadiums of professional sports right now.
- 54:19What's your favorite stadium you've been to already?
- 54:21My favorite stadium, My favorite stadium, Wembley Stadium.
- 54:32Wembley was the the coolest stadium.
- 54:35I first of all, the biggest I've ever been to, I mean, it's crazy
- 54:39and. I I still say old Yankee Stadium
- 54:42was awesome. So I actually got a chance to DJ
- 54:45at Wembley Stadium. That was the first time I got a
- 54:47chance to see Wembley Stadium. That was where Queen and all
- 54:51the, you know, The Beatles, they all got a chance to play over
- 54:54there and I actually had a chance to play at Wembley as it.
- 54:58Is it like 120,000 or something that could?
- 55:00Fit more than that crazy more than that 90,000 when it comes
- 55:03to seats. But on for a concert.
- 55:06On a concert you could fit over 100,000 people in there easy.
- 55:09I think it can get to like 150 or something.
- 55:11Place was packed. Out if you pack it out.
- 55:13Oh my God. Cool.
- 55:14Yeah, globally they love their house music.
- 55:17So that place packed out for like a full week and they were,
- 55:21we were doing concerts for like 12 hours.
- 55:24It was ridiculous. And people would stay.
- 55:26People would stay the whole time and party and get effed up.
- 55:30So it was crazy. It was some of it was like
- 55:33Woodstock of house music and it was just crazy.
- 55:36There was like every day there was like 20 different DJs that
- 55:39were going up there spending house music.
- 55:41It was absolutely enormous, it was.
- 55:44The record was 126,000 people. Yeah, it's.
- 55:48A lot of people holds a lot of. People holds a lot of people.
- 55:51It was it was something that you you you can only imagine
- 55:54experience seeing and I can't explain it.
- 55:57The people and the craziness over there when it comes to
- 56:00house music. It's really remarkable.
- 56:02It really is. Thank you to all the fans on
- 56:05obviously, Spotify, Apple, all the Tik Toks that we're on from
- 56:10Worldwide Sports Radio Network and Chop in the mouth,

- 56:28I was Nathan for getting this one.
- 56:29On Monday at 8:45 we have Jayden Fielder.
- 56:32Donald Trump. Jaden Fielder, who is the son?
- 56:35That's when Fish won't be the executive producer of the show.
- 56:38Wrong. Not worth.
- 56:40Jaden Fielder, the son of Prince Fielder and the grandson of
- 56:42Cecil Fielder, left fielder and 2nd baseman, is currently in the
- 56:45Milwaukee Brewers organization will be joining us at 8:45
- 56:49tender. Anyways, there you go.
- 56:51So we got somebody on Monday. We'll probably have a couple
- 56:54more guys on Wednesday. Yeah, it was a good one.
- 56:58And as always, we have to go it. It's what is anybody?
- 57:03Is anybody doing anything fun on the weekend?
- 57:05I am. I'm going.

- 57:09Anybody else have anything fun to do over the weekend?
- 57:11I might go to a. Card show and offload some of
- 57:14these Pokémon. Cards.
- 57:15There you go. There you go.
- 57:16It sounds like a good time I I think.
- 57:19My son is like stoked about it if we go, so yeah.
- 57:22Well, I'm, I'm, it's my, it's my niece's birthday.
- 57:26We're going down to see her. Happy birthday.

- 57:47Neutral ambush, don't want to not encouraging 1 hairstyle dead
- 57:51man. 'S Dick.
- 57:52All right, that's it. Good night, everybody.

- 57:58Network.
