- 0:53Speaker 4: land Glad to be here with you, bright and early
- 0:57Speaker 4: on Monday morning. I'm gonna start off by apologizing to
- 1:02Speaker 4: my crew in twenty twenty six. Already is familiar because
- 1:08Speaker 4: twenty twenty five was the same where you just can't
- 1:11Speaker 4: find good help any more in our new world, where
- 1:17Speaker 4: everybody's in business, but nobody has the product. You experience
- 1:21Speaker 4: it all the time you go in the store. The
- 1:24Speaker 4: thing that you see is just there to be seen.
- 1:30Speaker 4: We don't actually have it in stock. You didn't come
- 1:33Speaker 4: here to buy it today, did you. We just had
- 1:37Speaker 4: it as a display. We don't have one. We can
- 1:41Speaker 4: get it.
- 1:42Speaker 8: For you, you.
- 1:43Speaker 4: Know, yeah. I mean we're all human. We're all human.
- 1:49Speaker 4: Somewhere in our lives, something about us, our nature. We
- 1:53Speaker 4: decided that, you know, whether it was religion or money
- 1:57Speaker 4: or you know, looks that we were different, that we
- 2:03Speaker 4: do different things. But everybody that speaks to you today
- 2:06Speaker 4: they used the bathroom too. They do. I don't care
- 2:11Speaker 4: how pretty she looked, how hempsen he might look. If
- 2:16Speaker 4: he don't go to the restroom in the next twenty
- 2:18Speaker 4: four hours, he's gonna go septing, things gonna go to
- 2:22Speaker 4: breaking down in the body. The doctor gonna tell him
- 2:25Speaker 4: you got a problem. That's why they ask you that
- 2:27Speaker 4: on the question there when you go get a physical
- 2:30Speaker 4: for you that go get them. You know how frequent
- 2:33Speaker 4: Why you think it's on there? You think these people
- 2:35Speaker 4: are asking you these questions because they don't have nothing else.
- 2:38Speaker 4: They're actually asking you these things come in, she gregg
- 2:41Speaker 4: vic creepy people going there and two times a week
- 2:49Speaker 4: and they're gonna have order a whole bunch of tests.
- 2:51Speaker 4: We can need an MTC A BBB l F nine.
- 2:57Speaker 4: And you said only twice a week. Then it is wrong, sir,
- 3:02Speaker 4: Something is wrong with you, sir. And I'm saying that
- 3:04Speaker 4: because we all experience in the same things, no matter
- 3:07Speaker 4: how much you might be able to get it. If
- 3:09Speaker 4: you Jeff Bezos flew to you instantly, but if he
- 3:13Speaker 4: goes in anywhere in a store, he will come up
- 3:17Speaker 4: on the same thing. They do not have that phone.
- 3:21Speaker 4: We can get it to you by tomorrow, but you
- 3:24Speaker 4: got to come back and get it. But you got
- 3:25Speaker 4: to come back. We'll have it shipped here for you
- 3:28Speaker 4: to take another trip. I said all that to say
- 3:31Speaker 4: with the air conditioner guy, it's like, Okay, I don't
- 3:35Speaker 4: have the part. They're gonna come out. They're going to
- 3:39Speaker 4: tell you what the issue. But since everybody's in the
- 3:42Speaker 4: business and this is it's not that they're not efficient
- 3:45Speaker 4: or good. They just that's the business model. No overhead.
- 3:50Speaker 4: I'm gonna just drive around in my car and per job.
- 3:54Speaker 4: As you need it, I'll order it. I don't have
- 3:59Speaker 4: it in the truck now now, but I'm gonna take
- 4:02Speaker 4: the job. But like I got it in the truck.
- 4:04Speaker 4: And that's why we're sitting here right now, because the
- 4:08Speaker 4: guy came out and you know, but then he hit
- 4:11Speaker 4: me with the whole the part of being on Monday,
- 4:17Speaker 4: which by the time we get off air would just
- 4:20Speaker 4: be too late for us to get any heat. But
- 4:23Speaker 4: we got the little heaters going. Big Kitty Bad Producer
- 4:27Speaker 4: is out, but Big Kenny and comanchie Greg are in.
- 4:31Speaker 4: And what a big time weekend for the NFL guys. Yeah,
- 4:39Speaker 4: I mean we have We had five games, and we
- 4:42Speaker 4: had five games where you're just gonna have to sit
- 4:45Speaker 4: here and wait to see who wins. COMANCHI Kenny, sit here,
- 4:51Speaker 4: We'll let you know it about without thirty four seconds left,
- 4:56Speaker 4: who won? So if you thought she was just gonna
- 4:59Speaker 4: get up.
- 5:00Speaker 9: I no longer questioned the words super in front of
- 5:03Speaker 9: wild Card weekend. I'm I'm no longer questioning super. I
- 5:09Speaker 9: was like, why is it super? And they showed me
- 5:12Speaker 9: so now, okay, okay, okay, NFL, I'm done. I'm done
- 5:16Speaker 9: answering questions about super Wildcards, Super Game, Super Games and
- 5:20Speaker 9: said super super wild Card and it used to just
- 5:24Speaker 9: be the Wildcard and I was like, why, Dad.
- 5:26Speaker 4: We're gonna make a mistake and now these games, who's
- 5:29Speaker 4: going to make Who's gonna blink first? Somebody got a
- 5:32Speaker 4: blink and I got a confession I'm not really proud of,
- 5:36Speaker 4: but you you hating on the team.
- 5:38Speaker 9: No, no, I'm returning to a team, and had got
- 5:43Speaker 9: mad at them, thought they's finna lose and and walked away.
- 5:47Speaker 4: I don't understand your returning. I had this conversation bick
- 5:50Speaker 4: Kenny with one of our Lord listeners. I want out
- 5:53Speaker 4: him right now, but he always tunes in uh. The
- 5:57Speaker 4: other day, I finally had the chance of getting him
- 6:01Speaker 4: a jersey. I've been promising him a jersey for years
- 6:05Speaker 4: and I finally got one. Took it over there to him,
- 6:09Speaker 4: and he got on the whole idea that you you
- 6:14Speaker 4: can't just switch teams.
- 6:16Speaker 9: That's not how it works. And I'm saying I didn't
- 6:20Speaker 9: just switch. I went through the whole official.
- 6:25Speaker 4: Formal declarer, declaration process, transfer, the.
- 6:29Speaker 9: Fan transfer porter. I did that. I filed the paperwork.
- 6:33Speaker 9: I found I didn't leave in the middle of the season.
- 6:35Speaker 9: I filed the paperwork, I went through the physical.
- 6:39Speaker 4: They said that just like and just like Trinidad Chamberlis
- 6:43Speaker 4: of Ole miss, I'm gonna have to turn you down, sir.
- 6:48Speaker 4: H wait, wait, though, you can't come back for your
- 6:51Speaker 4: sixth year. I'm sorry, but that I know they were
- 6:55Speaker 4: gonna make it pay you a lot of money, But
- 6:57Speaker 4: you're gonna have to go see.
- 6:58Speaker 10: If the pros ones.
- 7:00Speaker 4: Well, they accepted me that you have to be a
- 7:03Speaker 4: jet forever, whatever command you has to be a cowboy.
- 7:11Speaker 4: I'm saying that I don't seen. I don't seen. I've
- 7:15Speaker 4: seen women that used to be men. So I mean,
- 7:17Speaker 4: if you can and don't, I don't want to deflect blame.
- 7:24Speaker 4: Ran into some high school, some high school schoolmates who
- 7:28Speaker 4: knew a whole lot about me. Classmates, some classmates, and
- 7:32Speaker 4: I was like, this girl must have had a crush
- 7:35Speaker 4: on me. And she was like no. We wrestled together.
- 7:38Speaker 4: And I was like, I would hope so, and she
- 7:40Speaker 4: was like no, for real, we wrestled and I wait
- 7:43Speaker 4: a minute, So if if that cannet, I mean I blinking,
- 7:50Speaker 4: Wait a minute, there's only one person I know call
- 7:54Speaker 4: me blinky. That's my dog. What's up with you? Blink?
- 8:00Speaker 4: Hold on? Who is this lady? You must know Tresh, No,
- 8:04Speaker 4: it's me may miss melink Man. You're tripping blink along.
- 8:11Speaker 4: I know, I know a guy named Tres called me blink.
- 8:16Speaker 4: But a great weekend for the NFL one game tonight
- 8:20Speaker 4: Monday Night Football. If I'm correct, this is the last
- 8:23Speaker 4: Monday night football game for the professionals, a Wildcard Super
- 8:27Speaker 4: Wildcard weekend. The Houston Texans are visiting the Pittsburgh Stillers.
- 8:34Speaker 4: So you know which side of the coin I'm rolling
- 8:37Speaker 4: with tonight. I'm trying to get this cold weather. Is
- 8:40Speaker 4: it snowing in Pittsburgh? I've been I've been doing a
- 8:43Speaker 4: little snow chant for snow, just singing it. You know,
- 8:49Speaker 4: snow that was a christmast Is snow in Pittsburgh tonight?
- 9:00Speaker 4: Is bird?
- 9:02Speaker 11: No?
- 9:04Speaker 4: That is so we can put the Texans in the cold.
- 9:09Speaker 4: Put no. That's why I want the Textans. I want
- 9:15Speaker 4: them out there. I want them to fill it. Gonna
- 9:18Speaker 4: get some Is it snowing up there? If it's it's
- 9:21Speaker 4: wast now, It's thirty degrees here, so it got to
- 9:23Speaker 4: be at least twenty eight there.
- 9:24Speaker 9: What I'm saying, because Houston's one of them places, don't
- 9:28Speaker 9: where it's kind of like Atlanta. And it'll be eighty
- 9:30Speaker 9: five degrees today, but then tomorrow it'll be fourteen degrees
- 9:33Speaker 9: for about thirty six hours and and everybody the power
- 9:37Speaker 9: will go out and about half the state or freeze,
- 9:41Speaker 9: and then next day it'll be ninety degrees.
- 9:43Speaker 4: Then I need it. It is not expected to snow.
- 9:45Speaker 4: What what's the temperature tonight comeing?
- 9:47Speaker 8: Uh really in game time? About seven or eight thirty
- 9:51Speaker 8: two degrees.
- 9:52Speaker 4: That's that's that's snow. That might as well be little rain.
- 9:56Speaker 4: You can snow at that temperature. Just need a little
- 9:58Speaker 4: rain to come by. Load on them, I mean it's
- 10:01Speaker 4: the wet the field make it sloppy. Isn't that what
- 10:03Speaker 4: they call piling it on? Though? That's that's way too much. No, no,
- 10:07Speaker 4: you you you try to get your advantage. You try
- 10:09Speaker 4: to go out you take just like we're going to
- 10:12Speaker 4: talk about some of these games. You take a team
- 10:15Speaker 4: like the Chargers and you take them to New England
- 10:22Speaker 4: and guys could have spent their college years. But as
- 10:25Speaker 4: you know, Big Kenny, I don't know about commands you
- 10:28Speaker 4: even though he's from Oklahoma. It doesn't take a book
- 10:31Speaker 4: out one one season, one season to lose the ability.
- 10:39Speaker 4: You used to be a bear, that used to be
- 10:41Speaker 4: a cold warrior, polar bear. I'm gonna tell you to
- 10:46Speaker 4: go out there and get somebody to car. You don't
- 10:47Speaker 4: even eat shoes, walk to god there with your flip
- 10:50Speaker 4: flops on. And now after a year you're afraid of
- 10:56Speaker 4: the weather man, like you start doing like they're trying
- 10:59Speaker 4: to figure out how to go off work, you can
- 11:01Speaker 4: go outside. All kinds of stuff happened now when people
- 11:04Speaker 4: say it's cold.
- 11:05Speaker 9: I saw a young man headed to the bus stop
- 11:08Speaker 9: this morning to get on the school bus with a
- 11:10Speaker 9: short sleeve shirt. And I used to be a polar
- 11:13Speaker 9: bat And when I saw the first thing, I said,
- 11:15Speaker 9: that boy, know he embarrassing his parents, right, His parents
- 11:20Speaker 9: don't know he out here like that.
- 11:21Speaker 4: And that's all with the Texans. They're out of Houston.
- 11:24Speaker 4: They play in a theirs is a full dome or
- 11:28Speaker 4: do they have the retractable roof they have a reactable roof.
- 11:32Speaker 4: Either way, it's most of the time it's closed, like
- 11:35Speaker 4: the Falcons. I don't even know why to be spending
- 11:37Speaker 4: those extra eighty million dollars for things they're only going
- 11:40Speaker 4: to use once a year, maybe that one game they
- 11:47Speaker 4: did they open it once to let rain in, maybe
- 11:50Speaker 4: for the maybe for the soccer. And it was one
- 11:54Speaker 4: time they had it open and it started raining and
- 11:56Speaker 4: they just left it open. So I'm trying to get
- 11:58Speaker 4: the Texas in that cold to help with out. Texans
- 12:01Speaker 4: have a great pass rush.
- 12:03Speaker 12: Uh.
- 12:03Speaker 4: So we're gonna have to do some things tonight for Pittsburgh,
- 12:06Speaker 4: but we will come back. We would talk about the
- 12:08Speaker 4: great Super Bowl excuse me, I can say that Super Bowl,
- 12:11Speaker 4: Super wild Card weekend, and we would talk about things
- 12:15Speaker 4: like Trey Young being traded. Find a lot of things
- 12:21Speaker 4: like that on the cover today. We'll be back more
- 12:23Speaker 4: to Sports Jock Show right after this.
- 12:25Speaker 13: Bye John Bowl, Wayne Born of the Sports Jos Hill

- 16:05Speaker 4: Welcome back to the Sports Shock Show. I'm the sports
- 16:07Speaker 4: Chuck Wayne Dandy. I remember that the p I M.
- 16:10Speaker 4: He stop acting like you don't. He said, no PERM,
- 16:14Speaker 4: no Caliact, no perm. You can't see. Great, y'all guys,
- 16:19Speaker 4: look like y'all might have had some chemicals in your
- 16:21Speaker 4: hair back in the day. No, no, that's no, I didn't. No, no,
- 16:25Speaker 4: but no Cadillac. No perm. You can't see. But still
- 16:29Speaker 4: I never had a I never had a Cadillact and
- 16:31Speaker 4: I didn't have a Cadillac Act. So you had the Cadillact,
- 16:33Speaker 4: but no PERM. Now did you have any chemicals in
- 16:36Speaker 4: your hair?
- 16:36Speaker 22: Now?
- 16:37Speaker 4: Okay, because you count you got some baby hair. You know,
- 16:42Speaker 4: I made for it when I had waves. That is
- 16:44Speaker 4: that chemicals? I don't know. Did it? Did it? Did
- 16:47Speaker 4: it change the texture of your hair?
- 16:49Speaker 22: No?
- 16:50Speaker 4: Okay, then then what was it for? That's to get
- 16:54Speaker 4: the waves? Oh you were trying to get the waves? Okay, okay, okay, okay,
- 16:57Speaker 4: So no, no, no perms. You can't But still camping.
- 17:02Speaker 4: What about the Cadillac.
- 17:03Speaker 15: Uh.
- 17:04Speaker 4: No, I didn't have, not personally, No cadillact. Okay, had
- 17:08Speaker 4: I had kend Caddy? Yea Caddy the standard back and delegance. Yeah,
- 17:15Speaker 4: that was the eighties pelambo. Yeah, everybody had to have
- 17:19Speaker 4: fleet for photot come through in that callact with the
- 17:22Speaker 4: carriage lights, with them white walls on it. Yes, sir,
- 17:25Speaker 4: it was a real thing. Folk tires with the wires. Everybody.
- 17:29Speaker 4: Everybody set their son out there to clean them white walls,
- 17:32Speaker 4: to go out there and get on them and clean
- 17:33Speaker 4: them up with a handled brush. Yes, yes, you got
- 17:38Speaker 4: to get in on it.
- 17:40Speaker 9: And if you knew what you was doing, you would
- 17:42Speaker 9: get one of those scouring pads, make a little soap
- 17:46Speaker 9: and get them real.
- 17:47Speaker 4: But you can't. Don't scratch the rims now when you
- 17:50Speaker 4: get them clean on them white wall on the white walls.
- 17:53Speaker 4: No Cadillac, no perm You can't see I hear you.
- 17:55Speaker 4: Fifty cent uh. But we're back. Good morning to you,
- 18:00Speaker 4: Super wild Card Weekend. One thing I'm gonna discuss because
- 18:03Speaker 4: I forgot to discuss it last show in this segment,
- 18:07Speaker 4: and it centers around how we seem to desire or
- 18:14Speaker 4: need people to retire and I've always been wondering why
- 18:21Speaker 4: outside fans always are trying to almost anticipate, trying to
- 18:32Speaker 4: create the buzz to get somebody. We see that with
- 18:38Speaker 4: Lebron James, we see that with Travis Kelcey, Like, why
- 18:45Speaker 4: can't I make all thirty two or thirty NBA teams
- 18:49Speaker 4: thirty two NFL teams? Commands you, big Kenny? Why can't
- 18:54Speaker 4: I play until all thirty two, say, or thirty or
- 18:59Speaker 4: high Ever many in the league say they no longer
- 19:03Speaker 4: want my services? Why is there always this call as
- 19:08Speaker 4: soon as Travis Kelsey ended his last game, every time
- 19:14Speaker 4: Lebron says he's gonna need a night off, Why is
- 19:19Speaker 4: it that we need these These are billion dollar industries
- 19:23Speaker 4: want to pay. First of all, most of us retire
- 19:25Speaker 4: from what I hear in the corporate world, because you
- 19:29Speaker 4: can get if you're making two hundred grand, you stayed
- 19:33Speaker 4: there long enough, they'll still give you sixty five percent
- 19:36Speaker 4: of it. Yeah, but how many of you put this
- 19:41Speaker 4: in your back pocket? As we talk about it. If
- 19:44Speaker 4: you was in an industry where you could clock in
- 19:47Speaker 4: a five million dollars, how often would you be thinking
- 19:55Speaker 4: about retiring or you're gonna make them put.
- 19:59Speaker 9: You out well and not only clocking in at five
- 20:02Speaker 9: million dollars, but if there is no leave at sixty
- 20:06Speaker 9: five percent, when you gone, you just stop earning that clock.
- 20:11Speaker 9: All of those earnings have to be accrued in savings
- 20:14Speaker 9: or investment. So yeah, I mean, you know, so why.
- 20:19Speaker 4: Is it you think we need We're always even coaches
- 20:22Speaker 4: go through you know, he needs to retire. A couple
- 20:25Speaker 4: of years ago with Mike Kozhevski, like why do I
- 20:29Speaker 4: need to retire? I think people like, look at.
- 20:35Speaker 8: It. Every game it seems to be like this part
- 20:40Speaker 8: of this overarching narrative. Every like single game is like,
- 20:45Speaker 8: oh he lost, so like he can't do it anymore.
- 20:48Speaker 8: Like this is just one game in October, Like it's
- 20:52Speaker 8: not Maybe it will affect the season, but it's not
- 20:56Speaker 8: an It doesn't affect the narrative on their entire career.
- 20:59Speaker 8: So they're not losing. If they are losing, and if
- 21:02Speaker 8: they're not going to go out with a championship, then
- 21:06Speaker 8: just stop now. But why But you're embarrassing. You're embarrassing
- 21:11Speaker 8: yourself and us as fans. No, I'm still continuing to
- 21:15Speaker 8: go out there. I'm still better than eighty percent of
- 21:20Speaker 8: the people that's doing this someone else. But that's that,
- 21:23Speaker 8: that's the thing. We someone else's turned. I think it's fans.
- 21:26Speaker 4: Fans, don't somebody else's turn to somebody else? Well, see,
- 21:29Speaker 4: that's that's what I'm saying.
- 21:30Speaker 9: When when when fans think about retiring, they're not thinking
- 21:34Speaker 9: about the eighty percent of the people you're better than.
- 21:39Speaker 9: They're thinking about the players that someone said is the
- 21:42Speaker 9: next you? So Lebron, Look, we wait, no ant Man,
- 21:46Speaker 9: we wait, no jaw You got to get out the way.
- 21:48Speaker 9: If we don't experience the full glory of a Jaw
- 21:52Speaker 9: ant Man era, you see, you're not the same time.
- 21:56Speaker 4: But that's that's see though, that's what we keep talking
- 21:58Speaker 4: about them in LA. But then we and then y'all
- 22:02Speaker 4: lost last night, and we still started the show talking
- 22:05Speaker 4: about because I dropped thirty eight.
- 22:07Speaker 23: Yeah, but that's what you've been doing that for twenty years.
- 22:10Speaker 23: As he saw what he threw in the l how
- 22:12Speaker 23: high I still lost? And and you keep we've seen that,
- 22:17Speaker 23: like we got a whole mon time out of the
- 22:22Speaker 23: Lakers said they give me forty two meal. Yeah, but
- 22:25Speaker 23: you're not playing the night, Like why are you still
- 22:29Speaker 23: out here? Like I'm saying, did you hear I said
- 22:32Speaker 23: the forty two? I'm saying no, but you you didn't
- 22:35Speaker 23: been having that today. You signed you that it's giving, guaranteed,
- 22:41Speaker 23: it's giving. Needy and wants more money, and I get
- 22:47Speaker 23: I'm going to talk to them, make to to get
- 22:49Speaker 23: you to retire.
- 22:50Speaker 4: Talk to them somebody like, That's what I'm saying. You
- 22:54Speaker 4: keep telling us there's a guy that's good, but take
- 22:56Speaker 4: my place. So we keep waiting on that guy. Yeah,
- 22:59Speaker 4: but the Hall they said they'll let me run for
- 23:02Speaker 4: a year for twelve meters. Who wants to come to Atlanta? Right?
- 23:06Speaker 4: Even waste of money? I mean, that's come on, man,
- 23:10Speaker 4: don't don't you know there's other things that you could
- 23:13Speaker 4: be doing. There are other things. So but this is
- 23:15Speaker 4: what I have my PhD in No, No, actually, you
- 23:18Speaker 4: can go back to school. J R. Smith He went back, cook,

- 27:17Speaker 12: spot Shock Wayne Candy. Good morning to you. It is Monday.
- 27:20Speaker 4: We got a Monday night football game here tonight, super
- 27:23Speaker 4: wild Card weekend coming to in the Houston Texans at
- 27:28Speaker 4: the Steelers. Remember the Stellers last week with beating Baltimore,
- 27:33Speaker 4: won that division, so they get to host a playoff game.
- 27:37Speaker 4: The winner of the game tonight will go and lay
- 27:43Speaker 4: New England. Ricked I believe.
- 27:46Speaker 9: So I have a question, yes, okay, for for the
- 27:50Speaker 9: sake of branding, it's the officially the end of the season.
- 27:54Speaker 4: We're in the wild Card Super Wildcard Super Wildcard phase
- 28:01Speaker 4: of the playoffs.
- 28:02Speaker 9: Can they call it Monday Night Football? Does it have
- 28:06Speaker 9: doesn't it have to be something else? Technically?
- 28:09Speaker 8: Well, it's on ESPN or ABC, which is regular which
- 28:16Speaker 8: does Monday night Monday Night football, so they can call
- 28:20Speaker 8: it that. Okay, This seems like they're Double different.
- 28:23Speaker 4: A Super wild Card. But the second Friday in September
- 28:27Speaker 4: now is Black Friday. So the Black Friday sales starts September.
- 28:33Speaker 4: Oh yeah, like it's the it's the that's for Friday. Yes,
- 28:37Speaker 4: that's for the Christmas sales. Halloween sales start. Christmas is
- 28:42Speaker 4: in July. That's the Halloween is September. First, a game
- 28:50Speaker 4: where Aaron Rodgers will this be his last game?
- 28:53Speaker 27: Uh?
- 28:54Speaker 4: Still a little simmering. You have to imagine it's still
- 28:58Speaker 4: some possibility with Mike Tom I know everybody marked that
- 29:02Speaker 4: he made the playoffs, but we saw what happened with
- 29:04Speaker 4: Jim Harball. Maybe there's Steelers, I mean John Harball. Maybe
- 29:11Speaker 4: there's still there's still are in because they haven't won
- 29:13Speaker 4: a playoff game in like ten years. I think I
- 29:17Speaker 4: agreed is like twenty sixteen, twenty seventeen was like the
- 29:21Speaker 4: last somewhere in there was the last time they won
- 29:24Speaker 4: a playoff game. That's what down. That is a long
- 29:27Speaker 4: drought for Stellers. Not just you know they make the playoffs,
- 29:32Speaker 4: but you haven't won in almost a decade. She won
- 29:35Speaker 4: a playoff game. That's all been under Mike Tumblin. Mike
- 29:38Speaker 4: Tumblin was still the coach ten years ago, so that
- 29:42Speaker 4: could be on the board.
- 29:43Speaker 11: Now.
- 29:44Speaker 4: We give favor that Mike Tumblin will stay the coach
- 29:46Speaker 4: because he's dealing with the Stellers. And then they are
- 29:50Speaker 4: the anti Vegas Raider, Dallas Cowboy, those teams, the Cleveland
- 29:59Speaker 4: brown they're the anti that you think about. Mike Toumney's
- 30:03Speaker 4: been there nineteen years. How many coaches have those three
- 30:07Speaker 4: organizations had in the last nineteen years when you talk
- 30:10Speaker 4: about the Browns, the Raiders and seven hundred and the Cowboys,
- 30:17Speaker 4: seven and four coaches and no, yeah, I'm saying in
- 30:21Speaker 4: that time, you wouldn't be surprised if you pull that
- 30:23Speaker 4: up coaches collecting.
- 30:26Speaker 9: Yeah, coaches, If it was nineteen coaches collectively between those
- 30:29Speaker 9: three teams in the last nineteen years, we wouldn't be surprised.
- 30:32Speaker 4: You wouldn't be surprised some some crazy number like that
- 30:35Speaker 4: because the tenure of that those teams. But the Steelers
- 30:39Speaker 4: have really manned the ship with one man nineteen years,
- 30:42Speaker 4: the longest tender to coach in But will it take
- 30:46Speaker 4: a playoff win? And that's how you have to feel
- 30:52Speaker 4: this might be the last time. And also with Sometimes
- 30:56Speaker 4: coaches want to break. That's a long time to be
- 31:00Speaker 4: in one place in modern America. So many other things
- 31:04Speaker 4: to do, so many avenues to take for coaches now.
- 31:07Speaker 4: But should be a great game to meek O Ryan
- 31:10Speaker 4: the Texans that great defense.
- 31:12Speaker 9: Coaches. Coaches don't have that same uh plight that the
- 31:17Speaker 9: players have.
- 31:18Speaker 4: I mean, I'm making you know, thirty one million here
- 31:23Speaker 4: per season, and you keep telling me to retire, You
- 31:26Speaker 4: keep telling me to do something else? What am I do?
- 31:28Speaker 30: Well?
- 31:28Speaker 4: I didn't say for him to retire. I think the thing,
- 31:30Speaker 4: the thing with the player part is people forget when
- 31:36Speaker 4: Travis Kelsey stopped or retire, he'll never play football again.
- 31:42Speaker 4: There is no right right, There is no going back
- 31:45Speaker 4: version of it, you know, a legends version of the
- 31:51Speaker 4: NFL right unless you unless you senior tour right, PGA,
- 31:56Speaker 4: unless you feel rivers and come back. Yeah, there's no
- 32:00Speaker 4: what is it the ice que. There is nothing like
- 32:04Speaker 4: that where you can just still get you football is over.
- 32:07Speaker 4: When football is over or a player, you won't be
- 32:12Speaker 4: seeing the phil That's what made the Philip Rivers thing
- 32:14Speaker 4: so big, because even that opportunity is the last thing.
- 32:19Speaker 4: So coaches is a little different. Sometimes they just want
- 32:21Speaker 4: to year off, take a break that they can never
- 32:26Speaker 4: get around to it. Get in that wheel, you know,
- 32:29Speaker 4: you take. Even with Bill Belichick, part of him going
- 32:32Speaker 4: to North Carolina to me is him challenging himself to
- 32:35Speaker 4: see if he can do this. I've done all that
- 32:39Speaker 4: so long, right, But in my little window of left
- 32:43Speaker 4: of energy, can I can I go and take a
- 32:47Speaker 4: program like North Carolina and bring it back in a
- 32:49Speaker 4: three four year window because I want a different challenge.
- 32:53Speaker 4: Because easily the Patriots could have let him go and
- 32:57Speaker 4: he'd have been standing on somebody else, just like we're
- 32:59Speaker 4: talking about with and Halball. We're talking about Mike Tomlin.
- 33:02Speaker 4: Mike Mike Tomlin got fired in the morning, he would
- 33:06Speaker 4: be on his way on a jet to Miami right that.
- 33:09Speaker 4: An hour later they pick him up at the facility.
- 33:14Speaker 4: That's how That's how they worked, and them will be
- 33:16Speaker 4: out to just get in. That's how these owners roll.
- 33:20Speaker 4: Now we'll take care of all that.
- 33:22Speaker 11: Now.
- 33:22Speaker 4: We got some clothes in the closet, all different sizes.
- 33:25Speaker 4: We talked to your equipment man. You know, it's just
- 33:28Speaker 4: that they have a job. If he wants it, John
- 33:31Speaker 4: Harball will have a job. If he wants to coach, right,
- 33:35Speaker 4: but the player their time is finite, especially now, and
- 33:40Speaker 4: especially now that the college landscape is open, open, open,
- 33:46Speaker 4: not just not open like coaching vacancies. But the Rams
- 33:51Speaker 4: started all this Super Super wild Card weekend on Saturday,
- 33:57Speaker 4: beating the Panthers thirty for We're thirty one, taking everything
- 34:03Speaker 4: to beat the Panthers in the game. Based on the records,
- 34:06Speaker 4: I think you gotta remember there must be something good
- 34:10Speaker 4: about you to make the playoffs. I don't know a
- 34:13Speaker 4: lot of people just brush off playoff teams regardless of
- 34:16Speaker 4: how you got there. You were good enough to get there.
- 34:20Speaker 4: So you got something about you that's going to put
- 34:23Speaker 4: up some fight. And if you can be at home,
- 34:28Speaker 4: it definitely gives you a better opportunity. The Rams having
- 34:32Speaker 4: to do everything to claw to win this game. The
- 34:36Speaker 4: tight end made that touchdown grab there with about what
- 34:41Speaker 4: twenty seconds left. I think something like that to where
- 34:45Speaker 4: Carolina didn't have any any chance of making this.
- 34:49Speaker 9: And hats off to Caroline again, regardless of how you
- 34:52Speaker 9: got there, because when you looked at it, nobody really
- 34:55Speaker 9: knew how they got there.
- 34:56Speaker 4: When you when you saw them on the schedule for
- 34:58Speaker 4: a Super wild card winning waking hosting you like here
- 35:03Speaker 4: the division right, and then you had to go back
- 35:06Speaker 4: and then you're right. You you started looking at the
- 35:08Speaker 4: w's in the l's like, well, okay, they I guess
- 35:10Speaker 4: they did win, and and I thought I thought for
- 35:15Speaker 4: a second that they would pull it out, but it
- 35:17Speaker 4: just it was too super of a wild card. And
- 35:22Speaker 4: then that night on Saturday Night, the Bears and the Packers,
- 35:26Speaker 4: Jordan Love and that offense, my new defense in that
- 35:30Speaker 4: first half was spectacular. Yeah, some people who actually had
- 35:35Speaker 4: tuned out by halftime, it seemed like green Bay once again.
- 35:40Speaker 4: And it's this made me think too, because I think
- 35:43Speaker 4: it was twenty one to three. And then that's when
- 35:45Speaker 4: the whole Atlanta Falcon stuff comes into it, because someone
- 35:50Speaker 4: just commented keeping that same okay, keeping keep that same energy,
- 35:55Speaker 4: talking about twenty eight and three, Yes, twenty eight to three,
- 35:59Speaker 4: and I'm before you even said it, they just you know, oh, okay,
- 36:04Speaker 4: it's similar as far as not just the score even
- 36:09Speaker 4: though it was a touchdown off, but the dominance. It
- 36:14Speaker 4: looked like Green Bay had come to play. But this
- 36:18Speaker 4: is the thing about sports players, the hope and the
- 36:24Speaker 4: faith we have in each other. Is that we can
- 36:26Speaker 4: go and do exactly what you did to us.
- 36:30Speaker 14: To you.
- 36:32Speaker 4: Command you and Big Kenny with the time left, win
- 36:35Speaker 4: the clock. You did twenty one to three, and the
- 36:38Speaker 4: first half, we'll do you twenty one to three in
- 36:42Speaker 4: the second half. What that'll do that'll at least take
- 36:45Speaker 4: us the overtime. That's really what you think, right.
- 36:47Speaker 9: Let's look at the analytics, though. The analytics said there's
- 36:50Speaker 9: a point seven eight two three seven six point percentage
- 36:54Speaker 9: chance that you'll be able to make up them eighteen points.
- 36:56Speaker 4: Yeah, but the analytics wasn't in the locker room when
- 37:00Speaker 4: we were spending in each other's mouths and slapping each
- 37:04Speaker 4: other each other in the face to say let's go.
- 37:08Speaker 9: The analytics said, they said they was good only getting
- 37:13Speaker 9: the mouths fitched up. Analytics said they buy it up.
- 37:17Speaker 4: There's just numbers, analytics. I don't remember them coming to
- 37:21Speaker 4: the locker room. No, they analytics, just numbers. When we
- 37:25Speaker 4: all decided to change our cliques or put on a
- 37:28Speaker 4: fresh jersey and approach the next half as though, we'll
- 37:31Speaker 4: do to you what you just did to us. That's
- 37:35Speaker 4: the mindset of how you come back. Why can't we
- 37:38Speaker 4: You did it us. Yeah, you that happened. It happened defense.
- 37:45Speaker 4: You hold them, we'll go get this. I don't know,
- 37:49Speaker 4: and that's why analytics are not in this conversation. Now.
- 37:54Speaker 4: You think the teams like the Falcons, which will look,
- 37:57Speaker 4: you know, further up. Because how bad the Patriots was playing,
- 38:03Speaker 4: you would think something different would happen. But in that game,
- 38:09Speaker 4: because somebody was debating that with me as well, they
- 38:12Speaker 4: tried to paint Matt Ryan. I said, well, Matt Ryan
- 38:14Speaker 4: had the highest quarterback rating in thirty five years in
- 38:19Speaker 4: that game. Yeah, Matt Ryan does not play running back.
- 38:25Speaker 4: But in all of that, as I keep telling you,
- 38:29Speaker 4: if I spot you twenty five points, Kenny, yeah, it's
- 38:33Speaker 4: on the defense all day. I got a twenty five
- 38:38Speaker 4: point lead, comand you, for Greg need to make a play.
- 38:42Speaker 4: I don't know why y'all keep looking over here at me.
- 38:44Speaker 4: Ask me why I ain't doing more work? Why aren't
- 38:47Speaker 4: you doing yojo? We's up twenty five points a half time.
- 38:51Speaker 4: We'll be back more to sports. Y'all show it after this.
- 38:56Speaker 4: I ain't even got to try to shine gogs the
- 38:58Speaker 4: seamstress to tell a fitted my pain.

- 42:20Speaker 4: We dropped all those monitors, so this ain't or dr
- 42:26Speaker 4: Pepper sponsors. And let me ask you something I think
- 42:31Speaker 4: I might ask you these this before you guys who
- 42:34Speaker 4: drinking all these Dodtor Pepper a mark for them for
- 42:38Speaker 4: them to have a solo campaign campaign. I know who
- 42:41Speaker 4: drink coke and I know who drinks right. People usually
- 42:45Speaker 4: come over and you know, hey man, you want something
- 42:47Speaker 4: to drink? Hey man, you got a coke? Hey hey,
- 42:50Speaker 4: you got a sprite? Or you know, hey you got
- 42:53Speaker 4: ginger Reil? Right? Have you anybody ask me got a
- 42:58Speaker 4: Dodtor pepperd pepper. I've never gotten out of a car
- 43:02Speaker 4: on a road trip and said, hey man, y'all want
- 43:05Speaker 4: me to bring you something back to drinking. Walk into
- 43:07Speaker 4: the quick trip and somebody said, dr Pepper, bring me
- 43:11Speaker 4: a doctor. So who is drinking? College football fans? Which
- 43:16Speaker 4: one the ones that are watching these commercials? They usually
- 43:20Speaker 4: want you to bring a twelve pack of bud Light. No, man,
- 43:23Speaker 4: it's doctor Pepper, Brushy Bill. Ain't nobody just dying Doctor Pepper?
- 43:28Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 43:29Speaker 17: It is?
- 43:30Speaker 4: And you want to diet? This is fans field, it
- 43:33Speaker 4: is you want. I want to die Doctor Pepper because
- 43:37Speaker 4: I still want to stay summertime? Is this the new
- 43:40Speaker 4: money laundry? Who is drinking Dr Pepper? Okayore you said that? Okay,
- 43:45Speaker 4: before you say that, let's let's make let's testify. How
- 43:51Speaker 4: many Doctor Peppers have you drink in the last five you?
- 43:59Speaker 4: I know for myself, I can say at least, at minimum,
- 44:06Speaker 4: and this is being conservative, at least two at least,
- 44:12Speaker 4: and that that might be you know, I might be shaving,
- 44:15Speaker 4: so it might be four. I'm saying, you're finna get
- 44:19Speaker 4: crazy for like four and five years. No, but I
- 44:23Speaker 4: know at least to Dr Pepper's in the last five years.
- 44:27Speaker 4: I'll be wiling. No, I'll be out here Wiley how
- 44:30Speaker 4: many how many would you say you've taken?
- 44:32Speaker 8: Was at least the two twelve packs worth over the
- 44:36Speaker 8: last five years, So so twenty four dr pepper. So
- 44:41Speaker 8: that's who's drinking them. Oh, they're that I'm still on
- 44:46Speaker 8: the low side. You on the almost zero side. Say
- 44:50Speaker 8: I'm on the very low side. I was saying five years,
- 44:54Speaker 8: I've had maybe.
- 44:59Speaker 4: Four. You be wilding, though, and you be wiling boy,
- 45:04Speaker 4: only because I'm a sucker for the buy one, get
- 45:09Speaker 4: one free, and you just wasn't going. You just weren't
- 45:12Speaker 4: get it. We testifying in the twenty twenty six go
- 45:16Speaker 4: ahead on and let it, get it off your consciousness.
- 45:18Speaker 4: I'm a sucker. I walk into publics. They get me
- 45:21Speaker 4: every time I came here for some for some salt.
- 45:26Speaker 4: I didn't come here, but I had to walk down
- 45:28Speaker 4: to drink. I'll get to the salt.
- 45:32Speaker 22: Right.
- 45:32Speaker 4: I looked over by one product. It said by one
- 45:38Speaker 4: get too free. Oh, I can't believe these pop They're
- 45:42Speaker 4: giving them away. They're giving them, they are giving this
- 45:46Speaker 4: stuff away, giving it away. Now, I'm not in the
- 45:49Speaker 4: mood for Dr Pepper. I wouldn't. I wouldn't. I hadn't
- 45:52Speaker 4: even thought about it. But what it tastes like. But
- 45:55Speaker 4: they free. But if y'all just going to just be
- 45:57Speaker 4: giving them out, if I could buy one and get
- 46:00Speaker 4: them for free, I'm trying per this week. This week
- 46:04Speaker 4: we're just gonna have dtor pepper. But I've never intentionally
- 46:08Speaker 4: walked anywhere at any point again to get a doctor pepper.
- 46:12Speaker 4: I only have had it because I'm a sucker. And listen,
- 46:15Speaker 4: since we since we been the beverage of the week
- 46:18Speaker 4: is whatever by one, get one for you, And since
- 46:20Speaker 4: we're transparent, it is Cranberry this week. So since you
- 46:23Speaker 4: been transparent, have you ever walked into publics that ocean
- 46:28Speaker 4: sprayby buy one, get one free? Don't have to be
- 46:30Speaker 4: crying Apple, Apple might might be craying. Great this week's
- 46:35Speaker 4: all we're going whatever. We drinking about twelve of them.
- 46:38Speaker 4: And now they don't have the limited on the on
- 46:40Speaker 4: the thing no more right they used to limit you.
- 46:43Speaker 4: I didn't know they don't limit you. Just go fill
- 46:46Speaker 4: your car up.
- 46:47Speaker 9: Can I ask you something you ever buy like to
- 46:49Speaker 9: buy one get for doctor pepper free? And about the
- 46:52Speaker 9: middle of the second doctor Pepper, you think I see
- 46:54Speaker 9: why I don't drink this regular?
- 46:56Speaker 4: Yes, as soon as I take the top of Gona
- 47:00Speaker 4: be here along. I understand why this ain't my brain.
- 47:03Speaker 4: I might have to in bite some people open and
- 47:05Speaker 4: serve them this. But I just wonder to you out there,
- 47:09Speaker 4: because when I see Dtor Pepper that get the money away,
- 47:11Speaker 4: they're the one with the little throw the ball ten
- 47:15Speaker 4: thousand dollars. Just whoever can throw the more ball in
- 47:18Speaker 4: the in the little doctor Pepper being And I'll be thinking,
- 47:21Speaker 4: who drinking the doctor Pepper? You had a statistic over there, Yeah,
- 47:25Speaker 4: it's It.
- 47:27Speaker 8: Is the second most popular soda in the in America,
- 47:33Speaker 8: right behind It's still way behind Coca Cola, but it's
- 47:37Speaker 8: the second most popular new money launder new money. It's
- 47:45Speaker 8: supposed to be a Midwest It jumped from fifth. I
- 47:48Speaker 8: said it was fifth in two thousand, but it's moved
- 47:50Speaker 8: up to second. And you normally, you know, if you're
- 47:55Speaker 8: you're not moving up like that unless.
- 47:57Speaker 4: Placement product placement? Is it that? In my whole adult life,
- 48:02Speaker 4: I've never had someone come over and ask me for
- 48:05Speaker 4: doctor pepper. But they asked for a coke, right they
- 48:10Speaker 4: just you know know in the second is they're asked
- 48:13Speaker 4: for a sprite? Oh you don't have those two. They
- 48:18Speaker 4: or and then they'll go fruit punch or something else.
- 48:21Speaker 4: They never go straight to Doctor Pepper. They might ask
- 48:26Speaker 4: you for a Tahitian treat. Tahitian treat we have got
- 48:33Speaker 4: real specific now, a Tahitian treat. I just think that
- 48:36Speaker 4: Doctor Piper might be the new the Mexican cartel. They
- 48:42Speaker 4: caught up with the rim shops and the whole independent commercial.
- 48:49Speaker 8: It's more, it's very popular with gen Z and millennials
- 48:53Speaker 8: because of the unique flavor and individualism.
- 48:58Speaker 4: That's what there mark and see and that's that's how

- 49:04Speaker 4: Z because.

- 51:50Speaker 29: Yeah, yeah, yeah, doogie doogie doogi.
- 51:52Speaker 4: Huh check it showed us how we wreckon. Here's the

- 52:03Speaker 23: the spiking up, honey, love y'all so.
- 52:05Speaker 4: Yo min too many headlines and that little with yo
- 52:10Speaker 4: dick it ya? What's the flood on one hunting? Welcome
- 52:13Speaker 4: back to the one Shock Shu the swarshock wing Candy,
- 52:16Speaker 4: Good morning, tell you Monday Night football eight fifteen, the
- 52:20Speaker 4: twelve and five Texans visited Pittsburgh attend and seven Steelers
- 52:24Speaker 4: won the division. And now this is the four five matchup.
- 52:29Speaker 4: The winner will go play the Patriots. As we know
- 52:33Speaker 4: now the Patriots last night beating the Chargers and not
- 52:37Speaker 4: surprising that they beat the Chargers, but more of the
- 52:40Speaker 4: score Chargers only putting three points up on the boards
- 52:43Speaker 4: sixteen to three would be the part that would stand
- 52:50Speaker 4: out for people. The Patriots had a great record, they
- 52:53Speaker 4: played good, great at home. Mike Rabel has to be
- 52:57Speaker 4: in a lot of people's minds the coach of the year,
- 53:02Speaker 4: you know, and it's a lot of That's what's funny
- 53:04Speaker 4: because you got like about four true coaches that could
- 53:09Speaker 4: win this award, and rightfully so, it's almost one of
- 53:12Speaker 4: those years where how do you say, Mike Vrabel did
- 53:17Speaker 4: a better job than Lea and Cohen for the Jacksonville Jaguars,
- 53:21Speaker 4: Like where did that come from? Or Ben Johnson with
- 53:24Speaker 4: the Bears, like Mike Seahawks, Yeah, and even Kyle Shennenhan
- 53:30Speaker 4: are you winning? And like not even cent of your
- 53:34Speaker 4: teams on IR? You know, like what's going on? Like
- 53:37Speaker 4: you still moved on to the next round.
- 53:40Speaker 9: There's there's the winning and then there's the story behind
- 53:43Speaker 9: them win the winning that qualified some of those guys.
- 53:46Speaker 4: Yeah, you look at it. You have to really look that.
- 53:49Speaker 4: Even with Mike Tomlin, this is one of his better years.
- 53:54Speaker 27: You have to.
- 53:55Speaker 4: It's almost like Chopped. If you've watched that show Chopped,
- 53:59Speaker 4: who is doing the best with what they have? You
- 54:03Speaker 4: open the basket and these are the ingredients? How far
- 54:08Speaker 4: can you take these ingredients? Ru the bag of sour?
- 54:10Speaker 4: Kray Fall and Sammy Yeah, nobody saw the Jacksonville. Nobody
- 54:15Speaker 4: saw New England at all. Nobody could think we thought
- 54:19Speaker 4: San Francisco was gone. Every other week, it seemed like
- 54:23Speaker 4: every they lose major stars every week. They even last
- 54:27Speaker 4: night losing George Kittle. It still won the game. It's
- 54:33Speaker 4: just Matt Jones got it in went like four and
- 54:35Speaker 4: five and two or something like that out of nowhere,
- 54:38Speaker 4: and he did it with missing two receivers and Christ
- 54:42Speaker 4: McCaffrey missing and they still so a lot of coaches. Really,
- 54:47Speaker 4: this is one of those years where it's hard to
- 54:49Speaker 4: be like, oh, this coach did a better job because
- 54:52Speaker 4: there's so many surprising teams that are still around. But
- 54:56Speaker 4: the Chargers beat the I mean the Chargers loss to
- 55:00Speaker 4: the Patriots up in New England. So now New England
- 55:03Speaker 4: will host the game between the winner of tonight and
- 55:07Speaker 4: on the other side, Denver will host Buffalo. I think
- 55:13Speaker 4: Buffalo beat them this year, but he beat pat next
- 55:17Speaker 4: beat them this year. They play each other with Josh
- 55:21Speaker 4: Allen out there yesterday against the Jags. Are you surprised
- 55:26Speaker 4: that Buffalo beat the Jags? No? Okay, no, I thought
- 55:31Speaker 4: that it was a good game. Twenty seven twenty four.
- 55:35Speaker 4: Trevor Lawrence right there at the end, finally came into
- 55:38Speaker 4: his own this year through that interception. Still this year
- 55:43Speaker 4: they didn't play each other. Okay, So twenty seven and
- 55:46Speaker 4: twenty four Buffalo, Josh Allen, this is Josh Allen style,
- 55:51Speaker 4: Buffalo just making it happening. And he pulled out the
- 55:56Speaker 4: Cape and won a game. So this was their first
- 56:01Speaker 4: road playoff win in like thirty years. The Buffalo, Yeah, okay, yeah,
- 56:06Speaker 4: I saw that stats. It's like ninety two.
- 56:08Speaker 31: Wow.
- 56:08Speaker 4: They hadn't rent one on the road in the playoffs
- 56:11Speaker 4: and now they have to go on the road again
- 56:14Speaker 4: and tried to win. And then the other game last night,
- 56:17Speaker 4: the forty nine ers, as we spoke of, they won.
- 56:21Speaker 4: And what's so surprising is as a lot of these
- 56:24Speaker 4: games went down to the last team that had the ball,
- 56:29Speaker 4: this time the Eagles did have the ball last, and
- 56:31Speaker 4: you felt like, Okay, this is We've seen this story
- 56:34Speaker 4: this weekend. Last team went the ball, go down and
- 56:37Speaker 4: do something to win. And that's why this weekend was
- 56:41Speaker 4: so great because it kept coming. The team that won
- 56:46Speaker 4: or lost did something right before the team who got
- 56:49Speaker 4: the ball, and then they went and did something. It
- 56:52Speaker 4: was one of those kind of weekends. But the Eagles
- 56:55Speaker 4: coming up short twenty three to nineteen. That Aj Brown, Sorry,
- 57:01Speaker 4: Yanny Little the cameraman. Tom Brady did a good job
- 57:05Speaker 4: explaining to y'all. I know y'all sometimes don't like Tom
- 57:09Speaker 4: Brady for whatever reason, but he was explaining the truth
- 57:11Speaker 4: to you. We yell at each other, we shove each other.
- 57:17Speaker 4: How many times me and Big Kenny might get in
- 57:20Speaker 4: a full out brawl at practice and then stop and
- 57:26Speaker 4: get some lemon pepper wet. We carpooled together at this moment.
- 57:32Speaker 4: I didn't want to hear what Big Kenny had had.
- 57:35Speaker 4: Now do you think it really is just that I
- 57:37Speaker 4: dropped that ball, Kenny, Big Kenny, I said, Now, I said,
- 57:42Speaker 4: but on the way over here, I told you about
- 57:44Speaker 4: your focus. You was out last night and I told
- 57:47Speaker 4: you about your This is what I was talking about, Kenny.
- 57:50Speaker 4: This what I was talking about. You gotta get on
- 57:53Speaker 4: out of my face now. No, Now you mad at
- 57:55Speaker 4: me because you dropping passes, and that's how I really go.
- 57:58Speaker 4: I don't hear that right now. Man, let me ask
- 58:00Speaker 4: you something. I'm about to explode out of you. That's
- 58:03Speaker 4: how you telling me how I shouldn't have been out
- 58:07Speaker 4: last night to two thirty.
- 58:09Speaker 9: Because we really all we all checked in at eleven
- 58:13Speaker 9: nights and you're still out. Tom Brady he does a
- 58:17Speaker 9: great job explaining stuff like that. We get emotional, and
- 58:20Speaker 9: he gives that under the helmet first person point of view.
- 58:24Speaker 9: But he also last night gave a tutorial on how
- 58:27Speaker 9: when it's windy, quarterbacks hold the ball a different way
- 58:30Speaker 9: when they're trying to get the tight spiral. Is that
- 58:33Speaker 9: too much information for the general football viewing public, Well,
- 58:37Speaker 9: that's the producer. Those are the things that give them
- 58:40Speaker 9: some of the spiral.
- 58:41Speaker 4: Talk, Tom, you got time out, you gotta have some
- 58:44Speaker 4: filler sometimes, Yeah, they put in your ear. Tom and
- 58:49Speaker 4: those kind of crews, they got three or four people,
- 58:52Speaker 4: they got statiticians. That's telling them. I like to sit
- 58:55Speaker 4: here and tell you that every piece of information that
- 58:58Speaker 4: a player announcer is giving you, it's in their head.
- 59:02Speaker 4: That's not true. There's two guys that went to M I. T.
- 59:07Speaker 4: That dropped out, that loved sports, and they just sit
- 59:10Speaker 4: over there like this here and pass your piece of paper.
- 59:14Speaker 9: And then somebody goes, hey, Tom, tell him about the spiral,
- 59:18Speaker 9: tell him tell him how to get the spiral.
- 59:19Speaker 4: And somebody had to go get the football. Tom didn't
- 59:21Speaker 4: just have a football hang around. Somebody had to go
- 59:25Speaker 4: and get a spiral. And look that wind looks like
- 59:28Speaker 4: it's in the ball. That was a money suit that
- 59:31Speaker 4: didn't come with a football. Tom was so clean, he

- 59:38Speaker 4: Do you think he just he just bought a football
- 59:41Speaker 4: with it? And he said, last night, I haven't played
- 59:43Speaker 4: in a couple of years. I haven't done this in
- 59:45Speaker 4: a couple of years. They don't touch football's like that
- 59:49Speaker 4: no more. He might get him a little TV twelve

- 1:00:23Speaker 26: Choosing to buy a gun was not a decision I
- 1:00:25Speaker 26: took lightly, but with everything going on, I really wanted
- 1:00:28Speaker 26: to feel like I could protect myself. I hadn't thought
- 1:00:31Speaker 26: about the danger of an unlocked gun in my own
- 1:00:33Speaker 26: home too.
- 1:00:35Speaker 4: Me aware your napkins, not that drawer unless anyone.
- 1:00:40Speaker 6: Needs a gun.

- 1:01:02Speaker 5: that's exactly what texting.
- 1:01:03Speaker 21: While driving is like.
- 1:01:04Speaker 5: Your human brain only has the capacity to focus on

- 1:01:53Speaker 7: Council comes it, just go, I'm gonna go on the way.
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: Welcome back to the Sportshock Show. I'm the Sportshock Wayne Candy.
- 1:02:10Speaker 4: Good morning to you out there and listening land. We
- 1:02:13Speaker 4: have moved to uh the January to twelfth. We went
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: on through January a week away from the college football
- 1:02:21Speaker 4: Miami taking on Indiana, Indiana blowing out Oregon, Miami winning
- 1:02:28Speaker 4: in dramatic fashion with their thirty nine year old quarterback
- 1:02:32Speaker 4: Carson Beck in his twelfth year in the league. And
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: every day and every time the clock ticks, you just
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: come over to the dark side with the sports shot.
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: As I said, college football should just be great players
- 1:02:49Speaker 4: that couldn't make the NFL. That's really how I see it.
- 1:02:52Speaker 4: It should be them same. Okay, we just weren't NFL
- 1:02:56Speaker 4: level of April. But if Carson BA want to stay
- 1:03:01Speaker 4: at Miami, he should be their quarterback until they don't
- 1:03:05Speaker 4: want him no more. I mean really, that's that's just
- 1:03:08Speaker 4: how I see it. If if, if the if the
- 1:03:10Speaker 4: model is like it is now, you're just say, oh,
- 1:03:12Speaker 4: I'm gonna give him four million dollars, So why not
- 1:03:16Speaker 4: just why can't I just give the four million to
- 1:03:17Speaker 4: who I want? Nobody care I'm making four million dollars.
- 1:03:22Speaker 4: Am I worried about my scholarship? Probably not. No, I'm
- 1:03:26Speaker 4: gonna take the easiest, probably most likely the easiest path
- 1:03:29Speaker 4: to passing classes. Don't let don't let education get in.
- 1:03:37Speaker 4: Why would I do that now? So you could barely
- 1:03:41Speaker 4: get guys in on what was it called the pale
- 1:03:44Speaker 4: grant grant with guys in college on the pale grant
- 1:03:48Speaker 4: didn't want to go to class. Now you're give him
- 1:03:50Speaker 4: four million dollars and I just see you know to me,
- 1:03:53Speaker 4: I don't see nobody has told me one negative of
- 1:03:57Speaker 4: that idea, and you're going to see it.
- 1:03:59Speaker 8: And I think you're to see it in basketball first,
- 1:04:02Speaker 8: because with the whole thing with James Naji, who was
- 1:04:06Speaker 8: drafted into the NBA, didn't play well. He played in
- 1:04:10Speaker 8: the summer league, but he didn't play in any regular
- 1:04:12Speaker 8: season games. But now he's he's at Baylor, he's already
- 1:04:16Speaker 8: played a couple of games.
- 1:04:17Speaker 4: Yeah, because we don't want the league in between. No
- 1:04:25Speaker 4: sport really the league in between last. They're either propped
- 1:04:31Speaker 4: up or they get really distributed, they get repackaged. But
- 1:04:36Speaker 4: whatever league that's in the middle, always the USFL, the XFL,
- 1:04:46Speaker 4: that stuff, nobody wants. People pay attention to the NFL,
- 1:04:49Speaker 4: and they pay attention to college. Same thing with basketball.
- 1:04:54Speaker 4: All those little ice cube just did it the right way.
- 1:04:57Speaker 4: He just took over to where the Harlem Trotter's were.
- 1:05:01Speaker 4: You fit into that little summer carnival. Come out and
- 1:05:05Speaker 4: get some cotton candy, see some of your old stars.
- 1:05:08Speaker 4: But he didn't get autograph. He didn't really try to
- 1:05:11Speaker 4: compete with the NBA. Nothing what he's offering has anything
- 1:05:14Speaker 4: to do with the NBA except that the people that
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: are doing it are ex NBA players. But with like
- 1:05:21Speaker 4: the Baylor thing, somebody going to jail.
- 1:05:23Speaker 8: Hey, somebody, somebody got to go to jail, right, nobody
- 1:05:27Speaker 8: they found they found a loophole.
- 1:05:29Speaker 4: No, they're exploding. Just tell you how I know. And
- 1:05:32Speaker 4: I'm all for exploiting the loophole. I'm just saying it
- 1:05:35Speaker 4: seemed like somebody ought to be going to jail. But
- 1:05:37Speaker 4: don't you want to see the best? Yeah? I want
- 1:05:40Speaker 4: all of those guys that went to Auburn last year, right,
- 1:05:43Speaker 4: only maybe one of them in the league. But why
- 1:05:47Speaker 4: can't those other guys still play college basketball? They're the
- 1:05:50Speaker 4: best and see. I think that what offends the conventional mind.
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: My conventional mind is.
- 1:05:57Speaker 5: That there.
- 1:06:01Speaker 4: Are there is a world full of elite athletes that
- 1:06:09Speaker 4: just never were able to break through that ceiling and
- 1:06:13Speaker 4: go pro, that didn't have that opportunity. All those dudes
- 1:06:17Speaker 4: got worn out through attrition. Hey man, you served, you'd
- 1:06:20Speaker 4: done you four years. You gotta leave.
- 1:06:22Speaker 9: You only had that one extra year eligibility. Now you
- 1:06:25Speaker 9: got to go find something totally different to do. Carson
- 1:06:29Speaker 9: Beck bow knicks. They went to about seven.
- 1:06:33Speaker 4: Colleges a peace they went to I'm talking about and
- 1:06:36Speaker 4: played three or four years at each school and then
- 1:06:40Speaker 4: finally was like, okay, I'll go to the draft, and
- 1:06:43Speaker 4: it seems and this guy went to play in the
- 1:06:46Speaker 4: summer league, then signed the contract, was wearing Bulls colors
- 1:06:50Speaker 4: and now he back in college and that just I mean,
- 1:06:54Speaker 4: it's the But why can we Shiloh Sanders go back
- 1:06:58Speaker 4: and play three. He's better than the safety that I have,
- 1:07:03Speaker 4: But he's not as good at the the safety that
- 1:07:07Speaker 4: played for the team that had his right to draft.
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: It's not fair.
- 1:07:12Speaker 8: He was twenty three, twenty four knocking eighteen year old
- 1:07:17Speaker 8: children around.
- 1:07:20Speaker 4: Yeah, and there's eight there's twenty year old running backs.
- 1:07:24Speaker 4: Guys would louive if the NFL didn't have a rule,
- 1:07:27Speaker 4: they would leave at eighteen and try for the pros.
- 1:07:31Speaker 4: Just like the basketball. Yeah, you got to you got
- 1:07:35Speaker 4: their cherry picking on all this. No, I'm saying the
- 1:07:37Speaker 4: basketball just says one year removed. NFL says three years removed.
- 1:07:41Speaker 4: But if they said just one year, you find guys
- 1:07:45Speaker 4: at positions like running back and cornerback and stuff like that,
- 1:07:49Speaker 4: they would get on more of a plan to be
- 1:07:51Speaker 4: ready to go. Yeah, it's just the NFL had that's
- 1:07:56Speaker 4: not even a college rule. People. I've explained that a
- 1:07:58Speaker 4: couple of times. People think that no college don't say nothing.
- 1:08:02Speaker 4: NFL says you have to be three years removed from
- 1:08:04Speaker 4: high school. They don't care what you did in those
- 1:08:06Speaker 4: three years. If you could show me you can play
- 1:08:10Speaker 4: in three years, then we'll draft you. So I just
- 1:08:16Speaker 4: didn't wonder why somebody like a Shiloh I wasn't good
- 1:08:20Speaker 4: enough for the pros. But I'm better than your safety,
- 1:08:22Speaker 4: better than your safety at the University of Texas some
- 1:08:26Speaker 4: of these universities, and we get a better competition. I'm
- 1:08:29Speaker 4: better than that guy a Georgia state. Speaking of Sanders,
- 1:08:32Speaker 4: do a Sanders. They did catch those guys that robbed him.
- 1:08:35Speaker 4: It was four perpetrators. Uh story. I saw where they
- 1:08:41Speaker 4: either were from Atlanta and drove to Cleveland. They're Atlanta residents, okay,
- 1:08:47Speaker 4: and then moved to Cleveland in a stolen rental car. Yeah,
- 1:08:50Speaker 4: and they they this is like their mo They steal
- 1:08:54Speaker 4: cars and stuff and go places to rob prominent athletes.
- 1:08:58Speaker 4: It's from what I understand, where's the outrage of them
- 1:09:02Speaker 4: stealing the rental car, of them robbing the messiah? Oh
- 1:09:08Speaker 4: you're talking about?
- 1:09:09Speaker 13: Uh?
- 1:09:10Speaker 9: The chosen one that that was crucified on the cross
- 1:09:16Speaker 9: of the NFL draft to go in the fifth.
- 1:09:19Speaker 4: Round and only to be maligned and cheated out of well.
- 1:09:25Speaker 4: We kept wondering who they are who want to see
- 1:09:27Speaker 4: his downfall? The day this is part of the day, right,
- 1:09:32Speaker 4: If they robbing you, I'd imagine they were day right,
- 1:09:36Speaker 4: someone that robs you. They I don't know, I want
- 1:09:39Speaker 4: to see you.
- 1:09:41Speaker 9: You always call whenever you report it, you say they
- 1:09:44Speaker 9: robbed me, so, yeah, you never say commands you greg
- 1:09:48Speaker 9: rob me because obviously you were just gonna be smart,
- 1:09:51Speaker 9: you know specific.
- 1:09:53Speaker 4: Yeah, they're gonna be specific. You just say they rob me.
- 1:09:56Speaker 14: So.
- 1:09:56Speaker 4: But everything that was coming at should do or the
- 1:10:00Speaker 4: and they want to keep it down. They perpetuated day
- 1:10:03Speaker 4: of being of a different skin tone. I would imagine
- 1:10:07Speaker 4: that's that's what we traditionally associate with this all day
- 1:10:11Speaker 4: for him, his haters in a vacuum people. They didn't
- 1:10:16Speaker 4: say it specifically, but they always tried to make it
- 1:10:19Speaker 4: seem like the day was the powers that be white
- 1:10:25Speaker 4: people that everybody else is riding with me. But obviously
- 1:10:30Speaker 4: these guys were willing to drive what Cleveland is about
- 1:10:32Speaker 4: ten hour rides a long way from here. Surely they
- 1:10:36Speaker 4: stopped off in Louisville or something. You know, they ain't
- 1:10:39Speaker 4: hung out for a night like and I want the
- 1:10:43Speaker 4: four of you just get a truck and become a
- 1:10:45Speaker 4: moving company. You're obviously okay with riding long distances, obviously
- 1:10:52Speaker 4: getting stuff in and out, fast, moving stuff without disturbing people.
- 1:11:02Speaker 4: Look a great kind of I'm.
- 1:11:04Speaker 9: Saying now you could turn that into something that wouldn't
- 1:11:06Speaker 9: get you arrested. Is basically, you know how to organized,
- 1:11:11Speaker 9: You know how to organized. Your great logistics followed through obviously,
- 1:11:15Speaker 9: you know.
- 1:11:16Speaker 4: Well then it just came down to money. Got a
- 1:11:19Speaker 4: solid crew on a wait, wait two weeks for a paycheck,
- 1:11:24Speaker 4: Well now you got to wait three years now maybe more. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:11:30Speaker 4: because depending on the amount of stuff you move. So
- 1:11:36Speaker 4: but I'm happy they found that because any of these
- 1:11:39Speaker 4: robber crews that that target. And we've seen this for
- 1:11:42Speaker 4: a good six seven eight years now, where especially on
- 1:11:47Speaker 4: the athletic side, also Hollywood, but the athletic side seem
- 1:11:52Speaker 4: to always coincide with that player or coach or manager
- 1:11:58Speaker 4: or owner having a game. Yeah and yeah, getting robbed
- 1:12:02Speaker 4: on that all the way down to Greg Popovich like like,
- 1:12:05Speaker 4: we know you're at it, like they were playing Raiders
- 1:12:08Speaker 4: in Vegas. We know you out of town. I know
- 1:12:11Speaker 4: you're out of town or even with your door, I
- 1:12:14Speaker 4: know you're not going to be home from six to ten.
- 1:12:20Speaker 4: And I just saw that your dad and you, you know,
- 1:12:25Speaker 4: your relatives. Looks like everybody's at the game. Because that's
- 1:12:28Speaker 4: what Melissa Starks just said. Yeah, got the whole family, said,
- 1:12:33Speaker 4: the whole family here at the game on the on
- 1:12:35Speaker 4: the mic showed me right, So we ain't gonna have
- 1:12:37Speaker 4: to ductake nobody up at the house. Yeah, so we
- 1:12:41Speaker 4: don't park out, see if anybody's left. I don't look
- 1:12:45Speaker 4: like nobody there.
- 1:12:46Speaker 9: Don't look like anybody's there. Let's ring the bell a
- 1:12:48Speaker 9: couple of times. Nobody dead, Let's go in. We got
- 1:12:51Speaker 9: a time frame. We got at least until halftime.
- 1:12:54Speaker 4: At least maybe y'all get blown out. But nobody leaves
- 1:12:59Speaker 4: the game before half, right, and that's when they went.
- 1:13:02Speaker 4: So I'm glad that law enforcement really gets behind that
- 1:13:08Speaker 4: kind of stuff. Yeah, because sometimes they may be on
- 1:13:11Speaker 4: some o. Man, you can afford to have it stuff stolen, No,
- 1:13:14Speaker 4: don't worry about it. Yeah, you can't have people it's
- 1:13:17Speaker 4: just so many parts of that where you let that stand.
- 1:13:20Speaker 4: People need to know we're gonna come find you if
- 1:13:23Speaker 4: you do these kind of crimes. But we'll be back
- 1:13:27Speaker 4: with more to Sports Shock Show right after this. What Up,
- 1:13:31Speaker 4: What Up?
- 1:13:33Speaker 11: What Up?
- 1:13:35Speaker 8: What up?
- 1:13:37Speaker 4: Gangs? This all round?
- 1:13:40Speaker 32: Like I got.
- 1:13:40Speaker 4: That's so much nuts.

- 1:14:33Speaker 21: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were

- 1:18:30Speaker 4: the time you sixty, you don't raid it all the
- 1:18:32Speaker 4: corporate you're trying to raid, you know what I mean?
- 1:18:35Speaker 4: It isn't played out you trying to He probably going
- 1:18:38Speaker 4: somewhere to get a hot dog.
- 1:18:40Speaker 9: I want to go try out, but I gotta go
- 1:18:42Speaker 9: in some disguise. So he spends most of his morning
- 1:18:45Speaker 9: putting on his disguise to go out and get it
- 1:18:47Speaker 9: hot dog. That's all he wants for something regular sixty
- 1:18:50Speaker 9: two years old? Who else do we have here? Antonio
- 1:18:57Speaker 9: Deela Cruz is twenty four. He plays with the rich

- 1:19:12Speaker 9: what's the four one one?
- 1:19:15Speaker 8: Uh?
- 1:19:15Speaker 4: It's five five as well. That's Mary J. Blige's fifty
- 1:19:20Speaker 4: five years old. What's the four to one one hunt
- 1:19:25Speaker 4: you gotta going on? You gotta going on? What's the
- 1:19:29Speaker 4: four one one hunt you gotta going on?
- 1:19:33Speaker 9: I'm saying, because I was researching all of these other
- 1:19:36Speaker 9: Ruth Wilson and Eastern Ray and Shonda Rhymes, trying to
- 1:19:40Speaker 9: see who was still holding it together at the advanced age,
- 1:19:44Speaker 9: and then you gave me.
- 1:19:47Speaker 4: What's the four one one?
- 1:19:48Speaker 9: And we all know if there's gonna be any clock
- 1:19:51Speaker 9: in today, I'm gonna have to clock in on.
- 1:19:55Speaker 4: Dealt with a lot of heartache though.
- 1:19:57Speaker 9: So this ain't nothing new. I'm just saying saying, your
- 1:20:00Speaker 9: same lane, Mary, We're gonna come up with a number
- 1:20:02Speaker 9: one song out of this. I'm telling you, I'm gonna
- 1:20:05Speaker 9: break her heart into another chart.
- 1:20:07Speaker 4: Top fifty years old? Can you say? We have a
- 1:20:12Speaker 4: couple of comments on Yeah, our loyal online listeners from
- 1:20:15Speaker 4: the top of the last hour, our resident Raider fan
- 1:20:19Speaker 4: said that once again sports jock is on point. He
- 1:20:22Speaker 4: bought a dishwasher before Christmas and they just installed it
- 1:20:25Speaker 4: on Friday, January ninth.
- 1:20:29Speaker 9: Then he had the nerve to say that like the West,
- 1:20:32Speaker 9: like the movie West Side Story, when you're a jet,
- 1:20:34Speaker 9: your jet all the way to the day that you die,
- 1:20:36Speaker 9: and I'm saying, no, I don't have to do that.
- 1:20:40Speaker 9: Then he asked, damn, is it that coal in Atlanta.
- 1:20:43Speaker 9: Uncle Charlie said, we're dressed like we're gonna be deported
- 1:20:45Speaker 9: to Greenland. Meanwhile, in Michigan, his neighbor is shoveling snow
- 1:20:50Speaker 9: in shorts, So I guess his neighbors still got that
- 1:20:53Speaker 9: polar bear in him. Elder Casey said that we seem
- 1:20:57Speaker 9: to change coaches with some of these teams every six months.
- 1:21:01Speaker 9: And uh, the reason we talk about retiring so much,
- 1:21:05Speaker 9: we want to see the people we love go out
- 1:21:07Speaker 9: on top.
- 1:21:09Speaker 4: He also, we had talked about the Doctor Peppers. He
- 1:21:13Speaker 4: had three Doctor Peppers in fifty four years.
- 1:21:16Speaker 19: Uh.
- 1:21:16Speaker 9: Darryl Bowen says, if he drinks a soda, it's going
- 1:21:19Speaker 9: to be a root beer. He drank ten Doctor Pepper's
- 1:21:24Speaker 9: in the last five years, and Elder Casey thinks that
- 1:21:27Speaker 9: they're straight sugar.
- 1:21:29Speaker 4: Dr Pepper, just sugar. And then he Uncle Charlie said
- 1:21:32Speaker 4: that the bad producer has his refrigerator full of Doctor
- 1:21:35Speaker 4: Pepper and kool Aid.
- 1:21:37Speaker 9: But he didn't say he didn't say what color kool Aid.
- 1:21:41Speaker 9: That tells you what flavors. So great, great, it sounds
- 1:21:45Speaker 9: like he's been to the bad Producers. No, he's a
- 1:21:48Speaker 9: great guy, you know, he's a great, great kool aid. Yeah,
- 1:21:52Speaker 9: I'm a Red guy. He's a he's a great guy.
- 1:21:56Speaker 9: And doctor Pelthers all in there next to Red. It's
- 1:22:01Speaker 9: not like Ela Casey got a problem with sugar.
- 1:22:04Speaker 4: I don't know. I don't know. Maybe he does, Maybe
- 1:22:07Speaker 4: he does.
- 1:22:07Speaker 9: He did also say that we should keep that same
- 1:22:10Speaker 9: energy when talking about twenty eight and three, that he
- 1:22:12Speaker 9: bought that up.
- 1:22:13Speaker 4: Oh well yeah, I mean it seems to still be
- 1:22:16Speaker 4: a sore subject about who to take the blame. And
- 1:22:19Speaker 4: I almost lost the friendship yesterday based on that that
- 1:22:23Speaker 4: they want me to need to put it on Matt Ryan.
- 1:22:25Speaker 4: And I'm like, well, how can the man go seventeen
- 1:22:28Speaker 4: for twenty three for two hundred and eighty four yards,
- 1:22:32Speaker 4: two touchdowns, no fumbles, no interceptions, highest passing ratings since
- 1:22:39Speaker 4: nineteen ninety and then in a Super Bowl and you
- 1:22:45Speaker 4: tell me it's his fault? How would it be his fault?
- 1:22:49Speaker 13: Well?
- 1:22:50Speaker 4: You know, you know, no, I don't know. I'm saying
- 1:22:53Speaker 4: he didn't do the thing. He didn't do the thing
- 1:22:55Speaker 4: that he was supposed to do. Oh what thing is that? Stop?
- 1:22:59Speaker 4: Tom Brady. I don't play defense. I'm saying, but you
- 1:23:05Speaker 4: you you could have done more. Oh, I could have
- 1:23:08Speaker 4: done more? You could have done What about the twelve eleven,
- 1:23:11Speaker 4: twelve fifteen, eighteen people on defense see that deflection? You
- 1:23:15Speaker 4: you oh and l the case say he was talking
- 1:23:19Speaker 4: about Tahitian treat it's straight sugar. Oh tuision treat definitely
- 1:23:24Speaker 4: is uh crack of all drinks? Do our listeners even
- 1:23:29Speaker 4: know what Tahitian treaty? Oh? For you that don't live
- 1:23:32Speaker 4: in go online, order you a six pack of it,
- 1:23:36Speaker 4: give it to give it to your seven year old kids. Now,
- 1:23:39Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 1:23:39Speaker 9: I don't know if you could get a quantity of
- 1:23:41Speaker 9: six in the mail. That might be against federal law.
- 1:23:44Speaker 9: I guess that you might be able to get, but
- 1:23:47Speaker 9: not in I don't know if it's a national drink.
- 1:23:51Speaker 9: Is it a national drink? Tision treat?
- 1:23:53Speaker 4: Now? Because you can't get into some parts of town,
- 1:23:56Speaker 4: it's Tahitian treat a national drink. I know they stop
- 1:23:59Speaker 4: saying about a six pack in Georgia because I nager
- 1:24:04Speaker 4: stocked on it and they don't sell it in Cobb
- 1:24:06Speaker 4: County at all.
- 1:24:07Speaker 8: It's the only day they haven't met whatever every Chevron
- 1:24:11Speaker 8: or Mexico.
- 1:24:11Speaker 4: Because I was gonna say, if you ask for him,
- 1:24:13Speaker 4: and as far as it in like six packs, I
- 1:24:17Speaker 4: have not or twelve packs. Yeah, if you ask for it.
- 1:24:20Speaker 4: In Cobb County, they put you on a watch list,
- 1:24:23Speaker 4: start following you around. Yeah, it's very It says like
- 1:24:27Speaker 4: two ten, like the highest calorie soft drink, but it
- 1:24:31Speaker 4: is eighty three grams of sugar in a twelve ounces.
- 1:24:34Speaker 4: It is delicious right up until every time I have one.
- 1:24:38Speaker 4: I think, man, I should have had some crackers and
- 1:24:40Speaker 4: potted meat go along with a heart attack. I'm saying
- 1:24:45Speaker 4: heart attacks and cracking some pottered meat and the tashi
- 1:24:47Speaker 4: or at least some hogheads. It sounded like a weekend.
- 1:24:51Speaker 4: It's like that's a wild card win a weekend right there.
- 1:24:56Speaker 4: You never have that. Like I'm drinking this thing, and man,
- 1:24:58Speaker 4: you know what a go pair good with something else?
- 1:25:01Speaker 4: Artery clock, you know what? Go great with that gasoline?
- 1:25:07Speaker 4: Hactivate my gal, you know great with this gasoline? Don't
- 1:25:10Speaker 4: have gout in the morning. Some fire, That's what I need.
- 1:25:15Speaker 4: The Sports talk show right after.
- 1:25:17Speaker 5: This show, your fun.
- 1:25:29Speaker 24: Don't go awayne Or of the Sports Jock Show with
- 1:25:32Speaker 24: Wayne Gambidio's coming up next.
- 1:25:36Speaker 4: Hurting the game.
- 1:25:38Speaker 33: We tough it out, feel exhausted, we push on feeling down.
- 1:25:43Speaker 33: We pull ourselves up by the bootstraps. But there are
- 1:25:47Speaker 33: times when bootstraps aren't enough, when stress gets to us
- 1:25:50Speaker 33: and we need to talk to someone about what we're
- 1:25:53Speaker 33: really going through. So we're going to reach out because

- 1:26:20Speaker 20: evaluate situations with me and lead me towards success.
- 1:26:25Speaker 31: We're not adults, so just just be there and like, listen.
- 1:26:30Speaker 31: I just want someone to have to and I just
- 1:26:32Speaker 31: feel like I'll be fine. Like if someone just cares me.
- 1:26:35Speaker 11: Talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and
- 1:26:37Speaker 11: talk and talk, you're doing a really good job. And
- 1:26:40Speaker 11: I don't think that's so. I don't know, and I
- 1:26:42Speaker 11: know sometimes we get into it and it's just hard
- 1:26:47Speaker 11: on both of us. But I'll try to understand me
- 1:26:50Speaker 11: more and I'll try to do the same.
- 1:26:53Speaker 19: Listening is a form of love. Find resources to help

- 1:27:43Speaker 30: Player's Lounge. You have been given full access to the
- 1:27:49Speaker 30: player's lounge on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:28:17Speaker 4: Walk back to this boy Shock Show. I'm this boy
- 1:28:19Speaker 4: Shock winning gain a good morning too. You can't say
- 1:28:22Speaker 4: it enough. Last Monday Night game tonight eight fifteen a
- 1:28:25Speaker 4: Texans c J. Stroud taking on Aaron Rogers. The Stillers
- 1:28:33Speaker 4: are jeckylling hide as far as how they beat you,
- 1:28:36Speaker 4: especially offensively, but I expect and we'll roll with the Stillers.
- 1:28:42Speaker 4: This is the matchup I felt like the Steelers would
- 1:28:44Speaker 4: have end up with he did. The Texans are the Chargers,
- 1:28:46Speaker 4: and I wanted that because I you know, I think
- 1:28:49Speaker 4: sometimes they don't talk about a lot anymore. But there
- 1:28:53Speaker 4: was a reason that Bucks went about fifty years without
- 1:28:55Speaker 4: winning a game then under forty degree temperature, and teams
- 1:29:00Speaker 4: that play indoors, even in places like New Orleans, play indoors,
- 1:29:07Speaker 4: you play on artificial turf. It is an adjustment to
- 1:29:10Speaker 4: come outside. And the Stillers are still one of the
- 1:29:12Speaker 4: few franchises that operate from the old school. It's an
- 1:29:17Speaker 4: outdoor stadium with a grass field, and the most common
- 1:29:23Speaker 4: field has become one of the few fields you can
- 1:29:26Speaker 4: find because even a lot of stadiums that might have
- 1:29:30Speaker 4: might be open have artificial turf in him. You think
- 1:29:35Speaker 4: this grass, but they're out there and on you know,
- 1:29:38Speaker 4: artificial turf. So one of the few stadiums that steal.
- 1:29:41Speaker 4: So let's see how the Texans and that slows up
- 1:29:43Speaker 4: the pass rush. That's why I want the field to
- 1:29:45Speaker 4: be snowy, wet, I want I wanted to be more dirt.
- 1:29:49Speaker 4: So when Will Anderson, that outside linebacker tries to dig
- 1:29:52Speaker 4: and push off. He has to be a little more
- 1:29:54Speaker 4: mindful to keep his feet well. That helps my tackles out.
- 1:29:58Speaker 4: Little things like that. The gainsman of the game, Trey Young,
- 1:30:03Speaker 4: the four time all start for the Atlanta Hawks, traded
- 1:30:08Speaker 4: last week to the Wizards. There was a little buzz
- 1:30:11Speaker 4: there for a minute that maybe Memphis would switch John
- 1:30:15Speaker 4: Morant for trade Young. But the Tray Young era here
- 1:30:19Speaker 4: in Atlanta is over. Before I get you guys opinion
- 1:30:24Speaker 4: on whether you know you saw this coming or you
- 1:30:27Speaker 4: felt like this was something that was needed. I posed
- 1:30:31Speaker 4: the question the other day is why our franchises condemned
- 1:30:41Speaker 4: when they trade away. Why can't franchises feel like, Okay,
- 1:30:49Speaker 4: I've gone through this cycle. I've given this young man
- 1:30:52Speaker 4: seven eight years. I want to go in a new direction.
- 1:30:57Speaker 4: Why is it it seemed like, no, you gotta go
- 1:30:59Speaker 4: in new direction with Luca, you gotta go in a
- 1:31:04Speaker 4: new direction with Trey. But I tried new directions with Trey,
- 1:31:11Speaker 4: and the time trade was here, he had three different
- 1:31:14Speaker 4: I tried three different coaches. I feel like it was four.
- 1:31:18Speaker 4: I feel like I'm missing somebody, but at least three
- 1:31:21Speaker 4: coaches I tried. I tried a couple of gms. I
- 1:31:28Speaker 4: tried like three different variations of starters around him. So
- 1:31:36Speaker 4: I go to the meeting, the three of us meet owner, GM,
- 1:31:40Speaker 4: coach and we say, you know what, let's try another director.
- 1:31:44Speaker 4: Why is it that teams don't see fans seem to
- 1:31:47Speaker 4: think because I know a lot of Atlanta fans feel like,
- 1:31:50Speaker 4: oh no, you shouldn't have traded Trey. How many years
- 1:31:55Speaker 4: does it take for Trey not? Because think about it.
- 1:31:59Speaker 4: If no coach keeps their job for eight years with
- 1:32:07Speaker 4: the win lost records that the Hawks have had in
- 1:32:10Speaker 4: the last eight years, right, coach missed the playoffs three
- 1:32:15Speaker 4: years in the row, what's going to happen? All right? Right,
- 1:32:20Speaker 4: I'm about fired. I'm talking about excuse me, follow me
- 1:32:24Speaker 4: up here. I mean to the office. Yeah, I'm talking
- 1:32:27Speaker 4: about right now. Mid season was waiting on the field
- 1:32:31Speaker 4: Raan Morris seriously, but the player is like, how many
- 1:32:35Speaker 4: years do you stay in? That is my question to you?
- 1:32:38Speaker 4: Guys like, uh, well with you with your with the
- 1:32:43Speaker 4: angle with the fans.
- 1:32:44Speaker 8: I think a lot of fans see if they if
- 1:32:47Speaker 8: there's a guy that, if we have a star, we
- 1:32:51Speaker 8: want to build a championship team around that. Star and
- 1:32:54Speaker 8: to trade him you want to get a star back
- 1:33:01Speaker 8: or something to that effect. And I think with the trade,
- 1:33:06Speaker 8: the trade that was actually made, he kind of asked,
- 1:33:11Speaker 8: what is what world? What really what either team is doing?
- 1:33:15Speaker 8: But but whether Hawk's doing while you're getting an expiring contract,
- 1:33:19Speaker 8: you're getting another another small forward, shooting guard type player.
- 1:33:24Speaker 8: You already have a bunch of them on the roster,
- 1:33:26Speaker 8: and you didn't get any draft picks. So what is
- 1:33:31Speaker 8: It's the plans not clear if there is one, it's
- 1:33:34Speaker 8: not clear of what the Hawks are actually doing with you.
- 1:33:40Speaker 8: I think there was more expected if you're trading your
- 1:33:43Speaker 8: star player.
- 1:33:44Speaker 4: Which which holds this question in Big Kenny because remember
- 1:33:49Speaker 4: as fans and for most of them, we're on the
- 1:33:52Speaker 4: outside looking in. So usually it's two paths. Either we're
- 1:33:59Speaker 4: over valuing Trey or nobody wants trade now, because I
- 1:34:08Speaker 4: wanted to ask when you speak of does that make sense?
- 1:34:11Speaker 4: Like you keep making me want to you know, because
- 1:34:15Speaker 4: people talk like owners and teams just has this power
- 1:34:19Speaker 4: to go get.
- 1:34:21Speaker 9: Who they want who they want, so they with two
- 1:34:23Speaker 9: teams even interested. And now when you when you were
- 1:34:27Speaker 9: talking about why the fans are like that, like we
- 1:34:30Speaker 9: have to win. I was wondering if this was fans
- 1:34:34Speaker 9: like NBA basketball wide, but specifically sometimes when we talk
- 1:34:38Speaker 9: about Atlanta fans, do you think that they lack a
- 1:34:41Speaker 9: sophistication about the business side of sports? Because these are
- 1:34:44Speaker 9: the same fans that wanted Matt Ryan to be blamed
- 1:34:47Speaker 9: for the twenty eight to three loss.
- 1:34:51Speaker 4: But Trey Young been here eight years.
- 1:34:54Speaker 9: And they've tried four or five different formulas around him
- 1:34:58Speaker 9: and nothing worked, and they want to try yet a
- 1:35:01Speaker 9: sixth formula. So I think as far as the players
- 1:35:07Speaker 9: individually specifically go, Atlanta is attracted to. This is an
- 1:35:13Speaker 9: attraction bells and whistles fan base. If they think that
- 1:35:17Speaker 9: they have something that's entertaining enough, it don't have to
- 1:35:21Speaker 9: really be winning. It don't have to be consistent.
- 1:35:24Speaker 4: It just has to be.
- 1:35:26Speaker 9: Entertaining for right now. I don't care if we win
- 1:35:30Speaker 9: a championship. I don't care that they've wasted eight years
- 1:35:35Speaker 9: and countless amount of cap space trying to build something
- 1:35:40Speaker 9: around Trey. We got a number one pick to come
- 1:35:44Speaker 9: and we still didn't get that.
- 1:35:46Speaker 4: And people, you know, I've had this conversation for the
- 1:35:49Speaker 4: last sins this trade, and it's like, but so they
- 1:35:52Speaker 4: will use somebody as an example, and I'm like, yeah,
- 1:35:57Speaker 4: but in those cases, those guys were seat filler. Yeah.
- 1:36:03Speaker 4: So if you go and you say, well, Philly did
- 1:36:06Speaker 4: it with Ai, but Ai was a seat filler. He
- 1:36:12Speaker 4: was a musty attraction. That's how he traveled. Yeah, we're
- 1:36:19Speaker 4: gonna keep him. We ninety two percent capacity every game,
- 1:36:24Speaker 4: even when we play the Wizards. Right the jersey sales.
- 1:36:29Speaker 4: Everybody wants some Ai. We can't get. We can't give
- 1:36:32Speaker 4: them enough. If we could get him to take them
- 1:36:36Speaker 4: teams off, he could be the mayor. Yeah, you can't.
- 1:36:41Speaker 4: So you have to look at those kind of Lebron
- 1:36:44Speaker 4: is a stadium filler. I keep telling you you do
- 1:36:50Speaker 4: have to stop and step out of your emotion. People
- 1:36:54Speaker 4: go see Trey on some free tickets, some company tickets,
- 1:36:58Speaker 4: or who they're playing. Lebron makes people go get new clothes.
- 1:37:05Speaker 4: I gotta be sharp. I'm not even walking around, but
- 1:37:09Speaker 4: I gotta be so clean from the parking lot to
- 1:37:11Speaker 4: my seat. But I gotta run up here the Linux.
- 1:37:15Speaker 4: When people go to this comparison, athletes give the game's
- 1:37:21Speaker 4: gonna be on TV. I might be on TV. I
- 1:37:24Speaker 4: might be on TV. And so with the Trade thing
- 1:37:27Speaker 4: is like, you know, I just thought that. I thought
- 1:37:31Speaker 4: it was a mutual seems like a mutual party because
- 1:37:35Speaker 4: the buzz was that Trade wanted to go and it
- 1:37:38Speaker 4: seemed like maybe they had decided on a style that
- 1:37:41Speaker 4: no longer would complement trays style. I think.
- 1:37:48Speaker 8: Has has played, he's a he's ascended, and he's a
- 1:37:53Speaker 8: triple double threat every game. And how does that They
- 1:37:59Speaker 8: couldn't mesh that with how Trey he's a ball dominant player.
- 1:38:03Speaker 4: Correct, And I think and that's the thing, and that
- 1:38:05Speaker 4: that was gonna be my last thing at the end
- 1:38:08Speaker 4: of the day. I think this organization had decided that
- 1:38:13Speaker 4: this style is the way they wanted. I think they
- 1:38:16Speaker 4: tried this two years ago when they brought into John T. Murray.
- 1:38:21Speaker 4: They wanted a style that seemed to me where Trey
- 1:38:24Speaker 4: Young was playing more off the ball and with him
- 1:38:28Speaker 4: being out. Jalen Johnson has shown that he's kind of
- 1:38:31Speaker 4: like a in the realm of a Scottie Pippen type guy.
- 1:38:36Speaker 4: He might not have the smoothest handle like a Scottie,
- 1:38:39Speaker 4: but he's more of a kind of like a point
- 1:38:41Speaker 4: forward kind of guy. Like you're saying, Greg, where he's
- 1:38:45Speaker 4: averaging like twenty one points and you know, nine assist
- 1:38:49Speaker 4: and you know he's triple double almost every other game.
- 1:38:53Speaker 4: And that's not what Trey wants to do. He didn't
- 1:38:58Speaker 4: want to do it with Murray. He didn't want to
- 1:39:00Speaker 4: do it. Now, So what do you do with a
- 1:39:01Speaker 4: guy that doesn't want to work in your scheme? Well,
- 1:39:07Speaker 4: and it seems like first they had to get somebody
- 1:39:13Speaker 4: that was viable enough that his resistance wouldn't hold any
- 1:39:21Speaker 4: value in trying to keep because he's been resistant from
- 1:39:24Speaker 4: the beginning. That's what I'm saying.
- 1:39:25Speaker 9: They've tried so many things, and I believe that the
- 1:39:27Speaker 9: reason it didn't work before is because Trace desired to
- 1:39:34Speaker 9: be ball dominant, didn't fit and nobody was better than
- 1:39:38Speaker 9: him at the time, and then they put so much
- 1:39:41Speaker 9: money into him and all of that. So they kept
- 1:39:43Speaker 9: trying to work it out and now at some point, look, man,
- 1:39:46Speaker 9: it's just not working.
- 1:39:47Speaker 4: Yeah, because you see, as we go the there was
- 1:39:51Speaker 4: one variation for twenty years of Lebron James, but the
- 1:39:55Speaker 4: King concede that wherever we want to go, Luca has
- 1:40:01Speaker 4: to have the ball first, right, you see him to
- 1:40:05Speaker 4: get the rebound and give it wouldn't the last time
- 1:40:07Speaker 4: you rarely used to see him. If he got the rebound,
- 1:40:09Speaker 4: he was taking it down the court. He gets the rebound,
- 1:40:12Speaker 4: throws it to Luca and goes and get into the
- 1:40:15Speaker 4: system like he understands that even if I'm gonna play
- 1:40:18Speaker 4: these three or four years, they no need to be
- 1:40:20Speaker 4: ignorant to the fact that this young thunder cat is
- 1:40:24Speaker 4: better if we work through him and I figure out
- 1:40:27Speaker 4: how to get mine that way. We'll be back more
- 1:40:31Speaker 4: to Sports Jock Show right after this. Don't Go Awayne

- 1:42:44Speaker 2: And now back to the sports job, Wayne Gandy. Between
- 1:42:57Speaker 2: you log on so you can see a sports jan
- 1:43:11Speaker 2: I'll sing even.
- 1:43:13Speaker 4: Jany welcome back to the spot Stock sell him the
- 1:43:18Speaker 4: sportstock Wayne can a good morning to you. Oat there
- 1:43:20Speaker 4: in listening land.
- 1:43:21Speaker 11: Uh.
- 1:43:21Speaker 4: We left talking about Trey Young being traded. That was
- 1:43:24Speaker 4: kind of the biggest news in basketball other than Dennis
- 1:43:27Speaker 4: Shrewder being suspended. He pulled a Carmelo anthony where after
- 1:43:35Speaker 4: the game he went after Luca Duncans left his dressing
- 1:43:40Speaker 4: room or locker room and went over looking for Luca,
- 1:43:44Speaker 4: which we know all the way back to Carmelo going
- 1:43:47Speaker 4: to look for KG. Kevin Garnett. The league does not
- 1:43:51Speaker 4: is not gonna let that happen. You've been better off
- 1:43:54Speaker 4: punching him on the court. I got a three game
- 1:43:57Speaker 4: suspension for doing that. If he didn't punched him on
- 1:44:00Speaker 4: the court. He probably just got one game. Now what
- 1:44:03Speaker 4: was he looking for Luca for? It seems like Luca
- 1:44:05Speaker 4: was trash talking during the game. From the report, I
- 1:44:07Speaker 4: don't know officially, but it said that he was ragging
- 1:44:11Speaker 4: him about remember years ago, Dennis Shrewder, they passed up,
- 1:44:16Speaker 4: passed up on a big contract, big contract where he
- 1:44:20Speaker 4: would have got about twenty five MILLI a year, trying
- 1:44:24Speaker 4: to trying to get more, trying to get more or something.
- 1:44:28Speaker 4: And it was one sitting right there and I think
- 1:44:30Speaker 4: Luca brought that up trash talking to him in the game.
- 1:44:33Speaker 4: He got offended and wanted to see Luca, Well, who
- 1:44:38Speaker 4: you mad at? Didn't I did? And he some people
- 1:44:43Speaker 4: don't like to remind. He reminded of of that time
- 1:44:46Speaker 4: that you blew, you fumbled the bag. He remember that
- 1:44:51Speaker 4: money you could have had. You said, you said you
- 1:44:54Speaker 4: was gonna get more and then you didn't get half
- 1:44:56Speaker 4: of what You feel silly now, don't.
- 1:44:59Speaker 17: You you know?
- 1:45:02Speaker 11: Uh?
- 1:45:02Speaker 4: So that was that about. We were talking about Tray Young.
- 1:45:05Speaker 4: You said, there's a couple of comments about it.
- 1:45:06Speaker 9: Yeah, Jared said that Trey wanting to go to the
- 1:45:12Speaker 9: Wizards is like, uh, wanting to go from the Browns
- 1:45:15Speaker 9: to the Jets, and I couldn't find the the finger emoji.
- 1:45:19Speaker 9: So we're gonna keep on moving past that. Uncle Charlie
- 1:45:23Speaker 9: want to know why we never hear about the Jazz
- 1:45:25Speaker 9: getting involved in the trades. He felt like that would
- 1:45:28Speaker 9: be a perfect place for trade to land, would be
- 1:45:30Speaker 9: the Utah Jazz, and uh, the bad producer says that, uh,
- 1:45:35Speaker 9: we should have traded trade back when Nate mcmilland wanted
- 1:45:38Speaker 9: to trade him he had more value then.
- 1:45:40Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know if his value. I know we
- 1:45:42Speaker 4: got CJ. McCullen and another player for him, didn't get
- 1:45:45Speaker 4: any picks Utah. I think we did trade John John
- 1:45:52Speaker 4: Collins to the Utah about three years ago, and some
- 1:45:58Speaker 4: of that was John Cole was upset about playing with Trey.
- 1:46:03Speaker 4: It seemed like in the locker room or on the court,
- 1:46:06Speaker 4: there was some friction between those two. And that's why
- 1:46:08Speaker 4: I'm saying for my Hawks. You know, everybody knows I've
- 1:46:13Speaker 4: been here and I ride with him. I saw an
- 1:46:16Speaker 4: effort by the organization to make something, to try and
- 1:46:21Speaker 4: get it or got rid of people. They brought in
- 1:46:23Speaker 4: Murray and got rid of Murray because it seemed like
- 1:46:25Speaker 4: they were still trying to stick with trade. They got
- 1:46:27Speaker 4: rid of John and Collins, but it seems like this time,
- 1:46:30Speaker 4: this new GM, this coach has put their foot down
- 1:46:34Speaker 4: that this is the style and now you don't want
- 1:46:36Speaker 4: to play right and and what else? What else? And
- 1:46:41Speaker 4: you hurt? So we're going to move on from that.
- 1:46:45Speaker 4: Hurt all the time. And so I just don't get
- 1:46:49Speaker 4: how all the times that you think these organizations self
- 1:46:52Speaker 4: sabotage so much like they want to lose money or
- 1:46:55Speaker 4: they want to lose, and they're in the business of
- 1:46:58Speaker 4: trying to win. I'm quite sure that with the kind
- 1:47:02Speaker 4: of money they're looking they have some say. So sometimes
- 1:47:06Speaker 4: we just give too much power because a player can
- 1:47:08Speaker 4: decide he doesn't want to resign and leave or tell
- 1:47:11Speaker 4: them to trade him, and everybody's on board with that.
- 1:47:14Speaker 4: A lot of guys quickly tell them, if you I
- 1:47:16Speaker 4: don't want to resign, so you might as well trade me,
- 1:47:19Speaker 4: and I got to But when does the ownership get
- 1:47:23Speaker 4: to go in another direction? And after seven or eight
- 1:47:25Speaker 4: years of anybody, I think that's a fair enough. Okay,
- 1:47:28Speaker 4: we didn't get it done with this pick, right, we
- 1:47:32Speaker 4: didn't get it done, and that ain't always making winning
- 1:47:35Speaker 4: a championship. Sometimes that's just maybe consistently being an you
- 1:47:40Speaker 4: know the conversation, Paul Pierce said, you know, this is
- 1:47:43Speaker 4: why Atlanta is still a mid organization. And some of
- 1:47:48Speaker 4: it is because maybe they, like Bick Kenny was alluding to,
- 1:47:51Speaker 4: they got away from sometimes just putting their foot down
- 1:47:55Speaker 4: and getting rid of somebody like a Trey Young that
- 1:47:59Speaker 4: are always placating him that kind of personality. And Jalen
- 1:48:04Speaker 4: Johnson is you just don't know what the young man was,
- 1:48:09Speaker 4: like a top six or seven pick or something like
- 1:48:12Speaker 4: that out of Duke. Yeah, and see the other guy,
- 1:48:17Speaker 4: rich Esher, he was the first pick of the draft.
- 1:48:19Speaker 4: The number of these guys are they got to start
- 1:48:22Speaker 4: doing something right. And it was it was a matter
- 1:48:25Speaker 4: of like like you said, like when they brought in Murray,
- 1:48:28Speaker 4: even with with having John Collins before, like we haven't
- 1:48:33Speaker 4: found the right pieces to surround Trey with. And then
- 1:48:39Speaker 4: with Jalen Johnson kind of taking off this year, they like,
- 1:48:45Speaker 4: how did how does Trey fit in fit into this?
- 1:48:49Speaker 4: We've we're playing a totally different style. And Atlanta won
- 1:48:51Speaker 4: some games when Trey was out and then when he
- 1:48:54Speaker 4: comes back. It's kind of like, Okay, now it's back
- 1:48:56Speaker 4: to what we were, and now every one's just standing
- 1:49:00Speaker 4: in the corner watching Trade at the top of the key.
- 1:49:03Speaker 4: They don't want to play like that. Do you think
- 1:49:07Speaker 4: how long will it take? How many seasons? We alluded
- 1:49:11Speaker 4: to a Russell Westbrook he.
- 1:49:16Speaker 9: Super athlete, but it maybe was about his second or
- 1:49:19Speaker 9: third franchise where people started to go, don't seem like
- 1:49:22Speaker 9: people really like Russell that much? At first we were
- 1:49:25Speaker 9: thinking that it was something else, but then he started
- 1:49:29Speaker 9: showing up in different franchises getting the same result. How
- 1:49:33Speaker 9: long do you think or do you think that this
- 1:49:35Speaker 9: will be a wake up call for Trade or do
- 1:49:36Speaker 9: you think that.
- 1:49:37Speaker 4: I'm praying for a wake up call? Yeah, you don't
- 1:49:41Speaker 4: think this will be four franchises from now. He's still
- 1:49:45Speaker 4: being moved around because Trade just won't I hope nothing.
- 1:49:49Speaker 32: I know.
- 1:49:49Speaker 4: He probably most likely went to Washington because they will
- 1:49:51Speaker 4: put him in the position that he was because as
- 1:49:55Speaker 4: COMANCHI Greg was saying, they don't really have anything, at
- 1:49:57Speaker 4: least from what we know right, so they would probably
- 1:50:01Speaker 4: put him where we'll build around you. People try well,
- 1:50:04Speaker 4: why would he put the wheels Wizards, because they might
- 1:50:06Speaker 4: be the only of the thirty teams that's willing to
- 1:50:09Speaker 4: build around him. Everybody else might have just wanted to
- 1:50:12Speaker 4: add on. And just like when we talk about with
- 1:50:15Speaker 4: Kobe running shack off, some guys they want to be
- 1:50:19Speaker 4: the true catalysts. They don't want to be They don't
- 1:50:22Speaker 4: want to be Kevin Durrett. They don't want to be
- 1:50:23Speaker 4: the mercenary right. They want to be the catalysts of
- 1:50:26Speaker 4: the general right of everything. Tom Brady, We're going to
- 1:50:31Speaker 4: break Tom Brady. Guys, I sent you the article. Everybody
- 1:50:34Speaker 4: else saw what we were talking about last week with
- 1:50:37Speaker 4: Tom Brady and the Pizza Hut. Commercial people upset with Tom.
- 1:50:41Speaker 4: You don't need For the first time, I had to
- 1:50:44Speaker 4: take the people's side. I'm usually with Tom. You know,
- 1:50:47Speaker 4: we were just talking about Tom and Tom might be
- 1:50:50Speaker 4: might be a New York style slice pepperoni. Guy, it's
- 1:50:55Speaker 4: gluten free, flowers free, cheese free, he plastic inside port
- 1:51:03Speaker 4: organic pork plastic, mushroom skin pizza. Get me a bag
- 1:51:11Speaker 4: of pork parts and I'm gonna put it on top
- 1:51:13Speaker 4: of this pizza and we're gonna eat it. So everybody
- 1:51:15Speaker 4: noticed that commercial Tom is not eating pizza. He just
- 1:51:19Speaker 4: don't sell it. He can sell you a Lamborghini, right Roles.
- 1:51:26Speaker 4: When you look at Tom, the first thing you think
- 1:51:28Speaker 4: is that dude eats a lot of pizza. Lamar Jackson.
- 1:51:32Speaker 4: That's what they should have gotten to do that.
- 1:51:33Speaker 30: Do that?
- 1:51:34Speaker 4: He looked like he just ordered pizza all day. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:51:39Speaker 4: with two hundred dollars champagne. It's pizza in Champagne. We'll
- 1:51:42Speaker 4: be back more to Sports Jock Show right after this.
- 1:51:55Speaker 24: Don't Go Awayne Born of the Sports John Show with
- 1:51:57Speaker 24: Wayne Gandy is coming up next.

- 1:53:00Speaker 14: see their ad on the.
- 1:53:01Speaker 12: Sports jock dot com. And now back to the Sports
- 1:53:07Speaker 12: John Wayne Gandy.
- 1:53:10Speaker 30: Now it's time for the school board when we put
- 1:53:13Speaker 30: a spin on light and sports and how they intermingle
- 1:53:18Speaker 30: on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:53:30Speaker 4: Yeah, aka Football fifty break it down. I've got a
- 1:53:37Speaker 4: lot of living and do it for a dime and
- 1:53:40Speaker 4: I ain't got welk. Back to the Sports Shock Shower.
- 1:53:42Speaker 4: I'm in the Sports Shock Wayne Candy. We were talking
- 1:53:45Speaker 4: about Trey Young being traded. Uh, it'd be interesting to
- 1:53:47Speaker 4: see if Memphis move on from Job Morant. The Job
- 1:53:52Speaker 4: Moran story is a little different because of off the
- 1:53:55Speaker 4: field and legal issues in the market, a little smaller
- 1:53:59Speaker 4: market with men fuzz so they have to be very careful,
- 1:54:02Speaker 4: and they're winning a lot with a lot of young talent,
- 1:54:05Speaker 4: similar in that way with the Hawks, where other guys
- 1:54:08Speaker 4: they're drafting are pulling the weight. So maybe when you
- 1:54:13Speaker 4: can even the bad producers saying like when you got
- 1:54:16Speaker 4: a hot commodity, as far as a team may want
- 1:54:19Speaker 4: to take a chance with a job Morent, which would
- 1:54:23Speaker 4: be interesting. A lot goes along with that. We will
- 1:54:27Speaker 4: see if joh Morant gets moved here by the trade
- 1:54:30Speaker 4: dead line. Matt Ryan, the greatest Falcon that's ever Yeah,
- 1:54:39Speaker 4: the m v P, He's only Falcon win VP, have
- 1:54:46Speaker 4: that right? A wrong Michael Michael Michael Vick never, m
- 1:54:51Speaker 4: v P. He won, m v P not Most Valuable
- 1:54:58Speaker 4: Michael Vick, Michael Vick. Michael Vick did not, and he
- 1:55:01Speaker 4: didn't take the Falcons to the Super Bowl. Murmur. So,
- 1:55:05Speaker 4: I'm just telling you that same Matt Ryan, who Matt Ryan,
- 1:55:12Speaker 4: the greatest Ryan who Murmur Matt Ryan Murmur. He is
- 1:55:18Speaker 4: back in a newly created job president of football. And
- 1:55:21Speaker 4: we see that we were talking about the Miami Dolphins
- 1:55:25Speaker 4: calling in Troy Aikman, who was never even a player
- 1:55:28Speaker 4: for them, never. But it seems that a lot of
- 1:55:31Speaker 4: owners and teams are giving way to getting advice, especially
- 1:55:36Speaker 4: you know, the rabbit's foot has always been in the
- 1:55:38Speaker 4: quarterback's back pocket. Uh, They're going to be the first
- 1:55:42Speaker 4: to be called and any in all situations to be
- 1:55:46Speaker 4: part of franchises. Teams, as you see with the Falcons,
- 1:55:50Speaker 4: will come and create a job to try to get
- 1:55:53Speaker 4: some of that intelligence. Matt Ryan playing here what fourteen
- 1:55:57Speaker 4: fifteen years uh or fourteen of his fifteen years he
- 1:56:00Speaker 4: was a Falcon, won the MVP and they had president
- 1:56:05Speaker 4: of football. So they still have a president of the
- 1:56:08Speaker 4: organization who they will name. They will name a GM
- 1:56:11Speaker 4: a head coach. But Matt Ryan probably getting in this
- 1:56:14Speaker 4: position to help them with those decisions, just like the
- 1:56:18Speaker 4: Dolphins winning have Troy Aiateman being some kind of liaison.
- 1:56:24Speaker 4: And as I said, if Troy wasn't making that big
- 1:56:26Speaker 4: money for ESPN, they probably wanted to make him the
- 1:56:30Speaker 4: GM and kind of stuff. That's what that's how, that's
- 1:56:34Speaker 4: how the ball balances. A lot of times.
- 1:56:36Speaker 9: We've we know that this is a new position for
- 1:56:43Speaker 9: the Atlanta Falcons, but it's not a new position in
- 1:56:46Speaker 9: the NFL. Is this something that all teams are going
- 1:56:50Speaker 9: to start now adding a president of football operations because
- 1:56:53Speaker 9: there used to be the general manager. There was the
- 1:56:56Speaker 9: owner and that was like the brain trust, and then
- 1:56:59Speaker 9: you had coaches and his staff. Well, now there's like
- 1:57:03Speaker 9: a guy in between. Where does the director of football
- 1:57:07Speaker 9: president of Football Operations fall between the general manager and
- 1:57:10Speaker 9: the owner? After okay, it's owner, general manager Football operations, President.
- 1:57:18Speaker 4: Football Operations, then general manager. Okay, so owner football operations
- 1:57:25Speaker 4: as the owner and then the president. Oh yeah yeah, owner,
- 1:57:28Speaker 4: then the president and then the president of football Operations
- 1:57:34Speaker 4: and then the general manager. Yes, okay, so the president
- 1:57:38Speaker 4: of Football Operations is the guy who will go out.
- 1:57:41Speaker 4: Matt Ryan's title is the president of football. I don't
- 1:57:44Speaker 4: know if that Yeah, see that's what I'm saying.
- 1:57:47Speaker 11: What is?
- 1:57:47Speaker 4: What is? What does that mean? It's something that That's
- 1:57:50Speaker 4: what I'm saying. They said they created a newly positioned
- 1:57:53Speaker 4: It's where you know, organizations, teams are building true to
- 1:58:00Speaker 4: money that's coming along. You know. You see when we
- 1:58:05Speaker 4: were kids, Big Kenny, you know, it was like three
- 1:58:09Speaker 4: coaches on the NBA team. Now there's three rolls of coaches,
- 1:58:13Speaker 4: three whole rolls, I mean, and some of them dudes
- 1:58:17Speaker 4: never get up some of the mo they just sit down.
- 1:58:22Speaker 8: There's the whole guy who has the laptop to let
- 1:58:24Speaker 8: you know, like, oh, we should challenge that play.
- 1:58:27Speaker 4: He does. When they when they take the camera and
- 1:58:30Speaker 4: go up to the booth for a football team, it's
- 1:58:34Speaker 4: like seventeen people, seventeen people up there typing and taking
- 1:58:38Speaker 4: it's so many people in the movie that there are
- 1:58:40Speaker 4: people standing up. It's people standing up because they ain't
- 1:58:43Speaker 4: got enough chairs. They didn't know you had that many people.
- 1:58:46Speaker 4: And everybody has a job to do, right, Okay, all right,
- 1:58:51Speaker 4: it's just the business of the growth. It's so specific.
- 1:58:56Speaker 4: As we talked about. You watch these teams, Nick, sorry Yanni,
- 1:58:59Speaker 4: you watch these liamn. Cohen. The games have gotten so
- 1:59:04Speaker 4: the coach, the head coach only sticks to the side
- 1:59:08Speaker 4: of the ball that he knows. And he doesn't do
- 1:59:11Speaker 4: any That's why I said. And he doesn't do he
- 1:59:14Speaker 4: the head coach, and he's the offensive coordinator. He doesn't
- 1:59:17Speaker 4: do anything defensive at all at all. He doesn't even
- 1:59:22Speaker 4: go down there and get those guys going, well, that's
- 1:59:26Speaker 4: you know, that's our defensive coordinator job, right, I don't
- 1:59:29Speaker 4: do that. So it's just how and you know, based
- 1:59:32Speaker 4: on your age. That's how it would determine if you're
- 1:59:35Speaker 4: If you're twenty five, you probably went to high school
- 1:59:37Speaker 4: where you had fifteen coaches. But if you're my age,
- 1:59:42Speaker 4: it was easy to see a high school coach. A
- 1:59:45Speaker 4: high school team with like five coaches, and one of
- 1:59:49Speaker 4: them was the equipment and the other one was the
- 1:59:53Speaker 4: medical status. And he also drove you to in from practice. Yeah,
- 1:59:57Speaker 4: they had a lot of they wore a lot of
- 1:59:58Speaker 4: different hats. This guy, he he watered the field on
- 2:00:01Speaker 4: the off I watched the Auburn basketball game the other day.
- 2:00:04Speaker 4: They had like about five coaches before they get to
- 2:00:09Speaker 4: the players, and then they had another four coaches after
- 2:00:14Speaker 4: you get past the last place in.
- 2:00:16Speaker 9: Warm ups, then they're they're they're coaches that are in
- 2:00:18Speaker 9: shirts and ties and there's a whole bunch of them
- 2:00:21Speaker 9: in warmups.
- 2:00:21Speaker 4: Twelve people on the team, you got ten coaches got
- 2:00:25Speaker 4: to talk to each guy in the coach. We got
- 2:00:27Speaker 4: a coach for defense, offense. One of the teaching free throws,
- 2:00:31Speaker 4: one to teach you post moves. It's just out of
- 2:00:34Speaker 4: business travel. Yeah, it's a new positions. It's the maybe
- 2:00:38Speaker 4: you know, liaison between the player. I don't know what
- 2:00:41Speaker 4: it is. We'll find out, but I know if it
- 2:00:43Speaker 4: works that I want to be president. They're running it
- 2:00:47Speaker 4: like corporations now, and you go to corporations. You go
- 2:00:52Speaker 4: to corporations and it's so many titles. I don't know.
- 2:00:54Speaker 4: It's almost like government. You have been people don't even
- 2:00:57Speaker 4: know what they do. Right, I got the job and
- 2:01:00Speaker 4: don't know what it did. So Matt Ryan new president
- 2:01:05Speaker 4: of football, President of football, a newly created job. Moran,
- 2:01:10Speaker 4: who else do we have? I think that's it? Guys
- 2:01:14Speaker 4: Tom Brady. Right, we talked about him and not being
- 2:01:16Speaker 4: able to ball the mushroom skin pizza. Give me your
- 2:01:22Speaker 4: one quarterback as we go to break? Who really would
- 2:01:24Speaker 4: do pizza? Mm hm it's Russell No, I'm currently who
- 2:01:33Speaker 4: is currently? Oh? Patrick Mahomes, Pat Mahomes. Who else could
- 2:01:37Speaker 4: sell you pizza and you would believe it?
- 2:01:39Speaker 11: Ah?
- 2:01:41Speaker 9: Aaron Rodgers, Yeah, that's Aaron. Aaron Rodgers can sell me
- 2:01:47Speaker 9: pizza to day. He looked like he got one in
- 2:01:51Speaker 9: his locker waiting. Tom Brady doesn't look like even his
- 2:01:56Speaker 9: shirt looked. His pizza Hut t shirt look custom. I
- 2:02:00Speaker 9: fit them about a pizza Hut shirt fit that perfect.
- 2:02:02Speaker 9: I worked at that ain't even a piece hut shirt. Yeah,
- 2:02:04Speaker 9: I worked at Pizza Hut. Nobody that collar so tight
- 2:02:07Speaker 9: and that that it's so black.
- 2:02:09Speaker 4: The tailor a little cheap half black shirts that you
- 2:02:13Speaker 4: have in the selling and I worked.
- 2:02:15Speaker 9: I worked at Pizza Hut. Trust me, you buy your
- 2:02:17Speaker 9: own clothes. They just want it in the color scheme and.
- 2:02:21Speaker 4: We all you know.
- 2:02:25Speaker 29: The truth is he will throw your in the ocean.
- 2:02:29Speaker 30: It's time to wrap things up on the Sports Junk
- 2:02:32Speaker 30: Show with Wayne Candy.
- 2:03:04Speaker 4: When you decide that ocean gives a swashout just a
- 2:03:06Speaker 4: minute to a vent. Remember Monday Night Football tonight, the

- 2:03:30Speaker 4: or Spotify and hear the replay going into ocean. Today
- 2:03:37Speaker 4: are two parents. Parenting is key to trying to produce
- 2:03:44Speaker 4: a well rounded kid, and these two people really need
- 2:03:50Speaker 4: to grow up and focus on the kid. And that's
- 2:03:54Speaker 4: former Lakers star Christian Wood and his ex Yasmine Lopez.
- 2:04:00Speaker 4: As Wood says that Lopez put a tracking device in
- 2:04:04Speaker 4: the baby bag when he came to pick the baby
- 2:04:08Speaker 4: up to figure out where Christian Woods lives. So your
- 2:04:21Speaker 4: kid's mom doesn't know where you live already. So you
- 2:04:29Speaker 4: had a baby with somebody and y'all don't both have
- 2:04:32Speaker 4: each other's address? Are you? Are you hearing what you're
- 2:04:38Speaker 4: saying that you want to pick up a kid from
- 2:04:41Speaker 4: the lady you had it with, but she doesn't know
- 2:04:43Speaker 4: where you stay, and she trying to track a kid
- 2:04:47Speaker 4: with you. But if somebody else came and got your kid,
- 2:04:52Speaker 4: you would know what they were taking your kid too? Right?
- 2:04:56Speaker 4: You walked you right? Isn't that just regular want to know?
- 2:05:02Speaker 4: Think about that as y'all try to get out of
- 2:05:04Speaker 4: this ocean situation. Both of y'all sound crazy, her for
- 2:05:11Speaker 4: having to do it and you for letting it even
- 2:05:13Speaker 4: need to be done, tracking you to find out where
- 2:05:18Speaker 4: you live. But we have a baby together, and you're
- 2:05:21Speaker 4: taking the baby back to your house, but I don't
- 2:05:24Speaker 4: know where that is. Throw them people in the ocean.
- 2:05:28Speaker 4: Command you get kid to be driving to my house
- 2:05:32Speaker 4: from Oregon to rob me for about twenty years be
- 2:05:37Speaker 4: part of the robbing crew. With that kind of parenting,
- 2:05:40Speaker 4: that's what do your mesia if you're robbing cruise damn,
- 2:05:44Speaker 4: don't know where you take that don't even make no sense. Wow,
- 2:05:49Speaker 4: grown folk for mc kenny comand you Greg from the
- 2:05:53Speaker 4: Sports Shock Show stay warm today on this chilly Monday.
- 2:05:57Speaker 4: And as I said, here we go, stealers, there we go.
- 2:06:03Speaker 4: Peace
