- 0:00Dayna Roselli: It is episode 344, Dayna Roselli and Sean McAllister here.
- 0:05Dayna Roselli: We're going to talk about a bunch of headliners, big headliners, deciding to return to Vegas.
- 0:11Dayna Roselli: A few announcements to tell you about there.
- 0:13Dayna Roselli: Also a free attraction off the strip that a lot of people may not be aware of.
- 0:19Sean McAllister: And we are coming up on Halloween weekend, and there are some spooky sights and stories here in Las Vegas that we're going to share a little bit later in this episode.
- 0:32Sean McAllister: Thanks so much for joining us this week on Vegas Revealed.
- 0:36Dayna Roselli: And so let's get right to it.
- 0:37Dayna Roselli: One of the big headliners that we're talking about that's returning is Sting.
- 0:41Dayna Roselli: Sting is coming back to the Colosseum.
- 0:44Dayna Roselli: You and I both saw his previous show there, which we loved.
- 0:48Dayna Roselli: And one of our most viral videos ever is Sting taking off his jacket and his guns aflaring.
- 0:56Dayna Roselli: I'm talking about his arms.
- 0:57Dayna Roselli: He's ripped.
- 0:58Dayna Roselli: So we always laugh about that.
- 1:01Dayna Roselli: We're like, gosh, who would have thought like the things that go viral?
- 1:04Dayna Roselli: But anyway, we went to a show at uh the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in the past.
- 1:08Dayna Roselli: He's coming back again.
- 1:09Dayna Roselli: Um, and this is exciting because he's doing Sting 3.0.
- 1:14Dayna Roselli: And this tour will take place, or this show, I should say, will take place in March of 2027 and in October of 2027.
- 1:24Dayna Roselli: So 11 performances um are going on sale for now.
- 1:29Sean McAllister: And Sting, uh, I think it's fair to say, is a music legend.
- 1:34Sean McAllister: Another music legend is Cindy Lauper, who has also announced her return to the Colosseum over at Caesars Palace as well.
- 1:42Sean McAllister: She did a run uh previously.
- 1:45Sean McAllister: We went to see that show.
- 1:46Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 1:47Sean McAllister: Um Cindy's iconic.
- 1:49Sean McAllister: Her new shows are going to be in February of 2027, and then a handful of shows in September of 2027.
- 1:58Sean McAllister: So Cindy's coming back.
- 2:00Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 2:00Dayna Roselli: So it looks like it'll be Cindy September, Sting October, and then Cindy February and Sting March.
- 2:06Dayna Roselli: So they're kind of like back to back there.
- 2:08Dayna Roselli: So a good variety of iconic performers, um, which is always the trend over at the Colosseum.
- 2:14Dayna Roselli: And so if you want to get those tickets, I mean Cindy sings all the hits.
- 2:18Dayna Roselli: She's a lot of fun to watch.
- 2:20Dayna Roselli: Sting the same.
- 2:21Dayna Roselli: He just sounds great.
- 2:22Dayna Roselli: And uh, I think you'll really enjoy both of those shows.
- 2:25Dayna Roselli: Um, someone else that's returning for one night only and not to the Colosseum, because um, Alanis Morset had a show at the Colosseum that we did go see, a short run.
- 2:34Dayna Roselli: Um, but now she's coming back for uh New Year, and she'll be performing at the Fountain Blue.
- 2:41Dayna Roselli: So at the Blue Live Theater.
- 2:43Dayna Roselli: This'll be great.
- 2:44Dayna Roselli: It's Friday, January 1st, so New Year Day.
- 2:48Sean McAllister: Yeah, Alanis is great.
- 2:50Sean McAllister: Yeah, um, her music is incredible.
- 2:53Sean McAllister: I mean, jagged little pill.
- 2:55Sean McAllister: That album is like ingrained into the very fiber of being for those of us who are of that generation.
- 3:03Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 3:04Sean McAllister: And she's fantastic.
- 3:06Dayna Roselli: Oh, she sounded so good at her show at the Colosseum.
- 3:08Dayna Roselli: I thought it was great.
- 3:09Dayna Roselli: I've been listening to her song Thank You lately.
- 3:12Dayna Roselli: I love that song.
- 3:12Dayna Roselli: It's so good.
- 3:13Dayna Roselli: It's a good drive, it's a good driving song.
- 3:15Sean McAllister: That is a good driving song.
- 3:16Sean McAllister: Yeah, it really is.
- 3:18Dayna Roselli: I like it.
- 3:18Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 3:19Dayna Roselli: Um, also, uh, who else is coming?
- 3:22Dayna Roselli: Train's coming on January 2nd at Fountain Blue at the Blue Life Theater.
- 3:26Dayna Roselli: So it'll be Alanis and then Train that weekend.
- 3:29Dayna Roselli: So that's a great lineup for over at Fountain Blue.
- 3:31Dayna Roselli: And then Deshaun, I have a feeling you like this one.
- 3:34Dayna Roselli: This next one we're gonna talk about.
- 3:35Dayna Roselli: It feels like your college years.
- 3:37Sean McAllister: Nickelback.
- 3:38Sean McAllister: Nickelback was like high school, high school college.
- 3:41Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 3:42Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 3:42Dayna Roselli: So it was my college years then, I guess.
- 3:44Dayna Roselli: Let old.
- 3:44Dayna Roselli: Because you're younger than me, yeah.
- 3:46Sean McAllister: Um, but yeah, nickelback coming to town, bringing their uh under the sun tour to T-Mobile Arena.
- 3:53Sean McAllister: This is coming up actually, my birthday weekend.
- 3:56Sean McAllister: Oh wow.
- 3:56Sean McAllister: Um, it's on uh Friday, April 16th.
- 4:00Sean McAllister: So maybe I can start my birthday weekend with that and then celebrate my birthday the next day on the 17th.
- 4:06Dayna Roselli: There you go.
- 4:06Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so nickelback over at uh T Mobile Arena, April 16th, as Sean said.
- 4:12Dayna Roselli: I think that's good.
- 4:12Dayna Roselli: One one night only.
- 4:13Dayna Roselli: So that'll be that'll be good.
- 4:15Dayna Roselli: They'll fill that up.
- 4:16Dayna Roselli: They got so many heads.
- 4:18Sean McAllister: Every time I do it makes me laugh.
- 4:21Dayna Roselli: Wow.
- 4:22Sean McAllister: Oh, see, that's like the music that's just uh built into my head.
- 4:26Sean McAllister: Anytime anything of that era comes on, like the lyrics and everything, just immediately come back.
- 4:32Dayna Roselli: Now I feel like I need to to Google the w nickelback what era.
- 4:38Dayna Roselli: Because I feel like I do feel like it was after.
- 4:41Sean McAllister: I feel like they were mid.
- 4:42Dayna Roselli: 2000s.
- 4:43Sean McAllister: Oh, really?
- 4:44Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 4:44Dayna Roselli: Oh, for some reason I felt like they were like, well, no, they formed in 1995, but they didn't really 2000s were their peak stardum and post-grunge.
- 4:55Sean McAllister: Oh, post grunge, okay.
- 4:57Sean McAllister: So Because I was part of the grunge.
- 5:00Sean McAllister: So maybe that's what they came after.
- 5:05Sean McAllister: Alright, well that makes sense.
- 5:06Dayna Roselli: That'll be a good show.
- 5:07Sean McAllister: Well, good.
- 5:07Sean McAllister: Nickel back is coming in uh April to T-Mobile Arena.
- 5:11Sean McAllister: Hey, uh, we recently went over and checked out um, I guess you could call it a hidden gem here in Las Vegas.
- 5:18Sean McAllister: It's a free attraction and show um at a property that's off the strip.
- 5:24Sean McAllister: We're talking about um the Mystic Falls Park and waterfall atrium laser and light show.
- 5:33Dayna Roselli: It's at Samstown Hotel and Gambling Hall, which is a very unique hotel, by the way.
- 5:37Dayna Roselli: I actually feel like everyone should visit there because when you walk into that big atrium, it's like this, I don't know, village.
- 5:46Dayna Roselli: Mystic Falls.
- 5:48Sean McAllister: Yeah, Mystic Falls Park.
- 5:50Dayna Roselli: It's got great restaurants and little bridges and a bar that you can sit out and waterfalls, and then the rooms that are in there kind of overlook the atrium.
- 6:01Dayna Roselli: And so, and then it kind of goes up and it looks like almost like buildings with a village.
- 6:06Sean McAllister: It looks like a village.
- 6:09Dayna Roselli: Anyway, you have to see it for yourself.
- 6:10Dayna Roselli: Here's the deal if you do want to see this story, you can always go to our YouTube.
- 6:13Dayna Roselli: We have all our stories there for a visual, and this one's on there already.
- 6:16Dayna Roselli: Um, but it is a hidden gem, and the shows are free, and they have them in the day and night.
- 6:21Dayna Roselli: Plus, the kids are gonna love it.
- 6:24Sean McAllister: You don't have to go far from the Las Vegas strip to find something that feels like a completely different world.
- 6:31Sean McAllister: Inside Sam's Town is a 25,000 square foot indoor park.
- 6:36Sean McAllister: It's filled with trees, waterfalls, wildlife, and a little bit of old school Vegas magic.
- 6:44Mystic Falls at Sam's Town: It really is a unique venue.
- 6:46Mystic Falls at Sam's Town: It really doesn't have anything like it in Las Vegas.
- 6:49Mystic Falls at Sam's Town: It's an entirely closed, climate-controlled forest, right?
- 6:53Mystic Falls at Sam's Town: So you're stepping back into a frontier forest.
- 6:56Sean McAllister: By day, Mystic Falls is the quiet escape under a 10-story glass skylight.
- 7:02Sean McAllister: But after dark, the forest is the Sunset Stampede combines water, music, lights, and lasers with some of the park's most famous residents.
- 7:21Mystic Falls at Sam's Town: And so this is the ultimate unique value experience.
- 7:23Mystic Falls at Sam's Town: I have free attractions.
- 7:25Mystic Falls at Sam's Town: It's open to the entire community.
- 7:26Mystic Falls at Sam's Town: It's really something that everybody can really enjoy.
- 7:29Sean McAllister: And free can be a pretty good word on a Vegas vacation.
- 7:33Sean McAllister: But watch the kids, and you'll start to understand why this place has lasted more than three decades.
- 7:40Mystic Falls at Sam's Town: Now they can bring their children, their grandchildren here to check out Mystic Falls Park.
- 7:45Mystic Falls at Sam's Town: It's just a really uh fun experience, especially with kids.
- 7:48Mystic Falls at Sam's Town: I mean, kids absolutely love this show.
- 7:51Mystic Falls at Sam's Town: You'll see them, their eyes are full of wonder.
- 7:53Sean McAllister: And that may be the real secret of Mystic Falls.
- 7:56Sean McAllister: Something parents remember seeing as kids is now something they get to experience again through their own children's eyes.
- 8:05Mystic Falls at Sam's Town: They came here as kids.
- 8:06Mystic Falls at Sam's Town: It was a fun activity when they were kids, and then they get to share with their children for the first time that experience that was so neat to them when they were children.
- 8:14Sean McAllister: And if you've been to Vegas a dozen times and never knew this was here, that's part of the fun.
- 8:20Sean McAllister: Mystic Falls Park and the Sunset Stampede are free inside Sam's Town.
- 8:26Sean McAllister: And you know, my aunt and cousin were just recently in town and they stayed over at Sam's Town, and they would go in in the afternoon if they were just like hanging out before it was time to get up and go somewhere.
- 8:40Sean McAllister: They would just go and hang out at Mystic Falls Park.
- 8:43Sean McAllister: And my aunt was like, it was so nice to just have the water trickling, you can hear the waterfall.
- 8:50Sean McAllister: It's a little humid, a little humid, you have nice bright daylight, and she said it was just so relaxing to be have that available, yeah, and not be just on a casino floor.
- 9:03Dayna Roselli: Right, right.
- 9:04Dayna Roselli: And then they have the casino if you want.
- 9:05Sean McAllister: And then they have the casino if you want.
- 9:06Sean McAllister: And they have uh free parking.
- 9:08Sean McAllister: Free parking over there at Sam's Town, free valet at Sam's Town, and there's even in Mystic Falls Park, uh, the steakhouse has a patio that uh sticks out into the park area.
- 9:21Sean McAllister: So great, great spot.
- 9:22Sean McAllister: Check it out if you haven't.
- 9:24Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and it looks like a good steakhouse too.
- 9:25Dayna Roselli: I gotta try it sometime.
- 9:26Dayna Roselli: Um, also just FYI, when it really kicks up, I feel like these shows are even more spectacular, the holiday shows, and they begin at sundown on November 26th and run hourly from 4 to 10 p.m.
- 9:38Dayna Roselli: So keep that in mind.
- 9:39Dayna Roselli: This will definitely get you in the holiday spirit, and again, it is free.
- 9:43Dayna Roselli: So the animatronic animals and stuff.
- 9:46Dayna Roselli: I think some of them are dressed in like Santa Clothes and like things like that, right?
- 9:50Dayna Roselli: The good place for pictures.
- 9:52Sean McAllister: Definitely.
- 9:52Sean McAllister: There is a balcony on the second level of uh Sam's Town, just above the uh hotel registration desk.
- 10:01Sean McAllister: If you take the elevator up one level, there's a a balcony that overlooks the whole park.
- 10:06Sean McAllister: And at Christmas time, that's a great place to go and have family photos because they have put all the twinkle lights up in all the trees.
- 10:14Sean McAllister: There's a giant Christmas tree that's right there.
- 10:17Sean McAllister: Santa's down there in the gazebo.
- 10:19Sean McAllister: So if you're looking for a good spot with uh for family photos, keep that in mind.
- 10:25Dayna Roselli: Yeah, kind of a different look.
- 10:26Dayna Roselli: The lighting's good because it's coming in from the windows.
- 10:29Dayna Roselli: All right, well, Halloween is coming up, and a lot of people love their horror, their haunts, their scary stories.
- 10:36Dayna Roselli: Um, I know we've covered Universal Horror, the year-round attraction over at Area 15 before.
- 10:42Dayna Roselli: Recently, um, we were telling you that they they do some kind of pop-up sort of, you know, series of different uh horrors, different horror houses inside we did something on Resident Evil.
- 10:54Dayna Roselli: But, you know, we went over and just did kind of did like a general interview to just talk to them about like, you know, does horror work year-round?
- 11:00Dayna Roselli: Is this the plan?
- 11:01Dayna Roselli: What do people love about it?
- 11:02Dayna Roselli: What is the fascination?
- 11:04Universal Horror Unleashed: You know, we're kind of sitting in this horror renaissance.
- 11:07Universal Horror Unleashed: People are really uh gravitating towards one, what they grew up with.
- 11:11Universal Horror Unleashed: Uh, people are at an age where they're sharing those experiences that they had at, you know, back in the 80s and 90s with slasher films with their children.
- 11:18Universal Horror Unleashed: I go to these horror conventions and it's very much a family event, which is kind of weird, but also really nice that they have that nostalgia to share with their children.
- 11:26Universal Horror Unleashed: So I think we are in the prime time of having something like horror unleashed uh being available to horror fans.
- 11:32Universal Horror Unleashed: I am very focused on every time people come back.
- 11:37Universal Horror Unleashed: Our characters are evolving.
- 11:39Universal Horror Unleashed: There's new characters to interact with, there's interactive experiences.
- 11:43Dayna Roselli: Is this the only place you can come and get horror year round?
- 11:46Universal Horror Unleashed: Yeah, I mean, there's definitely been some horror experiences that have been around that have gone year-round.
- 11:50Universal Horror Unleashed: Um, there hasn't been in a really long time.
- 11:52Universal Horror Unleashed: So that is the question.
- 11:54Universal Horror Unleashed: Will people come year-round?
- 11:56Universal Horror Unleashed: And the answer right now is yes.
- 11:58Universal Horror Unleashed: People do want to come, and they are coming.
- 12:00Universal Horror Unleashed: And what we're getting is are you gonna do this?
- 12:03Universal Horror Unleashed: Are you gonna do that?
- 12:04Universal Horror Unleashed: Are you matching what the Orlando's doing and Hollywood's doing and Universe Studios Japan?
- 12:09Universal Horror Unleashed: There's a lot of interest in what we're doing and the future of Universal Horror Unleashed.
- 12:16Dayna Roselli: And let me tell you, people who love their horror love their horror with all their heart.
- 12:20Sean McAllister: Absolutely.
- 12:21Sean McAllister: When we were over there, people were showing up dressed as like characters from their favorite horror franchises.
- 12:30Sean McAllister: So it does.
- 12:31Sean McAllister: That fandom runs deep.
- 12:33Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it does.
- 12:34Dayna Roselli: It's called Universal Horror Unleashed.
- 12:36Dayna Roselli: If you're in Vegas and that is your thing, you may not know.
- 12:39Dayna Roselli: It's open year-round, so go check it out.
- 12:42Sean McAllister: We have some more scary stories in celebrity news with a Vegas twist.
- 12:48Dayna Roselli: So, Sean, we went over to the Flamingo to do a backstage tour with RuPaul's Drag Race Live, but we had to pull this little clip of the interview that we didn't put in the original story because it has to do with the theater being haunted.
- 13:00Dayna Roselli: You were doing the interview.
- 13:02Sean McAllister: Yeah, so we talked with Kylie Sonique Love, one of the cast members of RuPaul's Drag Race Live, and throughout the course of the conversation, she threw out this fact.
- 13:12Sean McAllister: She was like, You know the theater's haunted, right?
- 13:14Sean McAllister: I was like, wait a second.
- 13:15Sean McAllister: Hold on, hold on.
- 13:17Sean McAllister: We need to dive deeper into this.
- 13:19Sean McAllister: And so we had a whole conversation about the spirits that lurk inside the flamingo showroom.
- 13:25Kylie Sonique Love: Yeah, she tells quite a story.
- 13:26Kylie Sonique Love: Listen, they are ghosts in the in here.
- 13:29Kylie Sonique Love: Are there?
- 13:30Kylie Sonique Love: Yes, they are ghosts here.
- 13:33Sean McAllister: Have you had experiences, encounters?
- 13:35Kylie Sonique Love: In the other room, I heard like banging on the little like air thing, and it wasn't like like a an animal or whatever.
- 13:43Kylie Sonique Love: It was like an a loud bang.
- 13:46Kylie Sonique Love: And I was like, Did you guys hear that?
- 13:49Kylie Sonique Love: And they didn't, and then it happened again, so I know I wasn't crazy.
- 13:53Kylie Sonique Love: Jimbo, when Jimbo was here, um, he had to come in late at night because he had to go out of town, and he said he it was like three or four o'clock in the morning, and he had to go all the way down where it's like completely dark where the stage is.
- 14:08Kylie Sonique Love: And as he was coming back up, he said he's seen an old man sitting in a chair in the dark in like an Usher suit.
- 14:18Kylie Sonique Love: Yes.
- 14:19Sean McAllister: Oh, that just gave me goosebumps.
- 14:21Sean McAllister: Oh my gosh.
- 14:22Kylie Sonique Love: Yes, so ever since that happened, I always feel like something is around.
- 14:28Sean McAllister: So you have your own Phantom of the Opera in this theater.
- 14:30Dayna Roselli: Yeah, pretty much.
- 14:31Dayna Roselli: So you never know.
- 14:32Dayna Roselli: So see, you could stop by Universal Horror Unleashed, and then you can go over to see RuPaul Drag Race Live, sit in that theater, and see who sits next to you.
- 14:42Sean McAllister: Or maybe not see who sits next to you, but know that they're there.
- 14:46Dayna Roselli: Feel that they're there.
- 14:46Sean McAllister: If you get the gooseies, if you get the goosebumps, you'll know that it's uh someone else is around.
- 14:53Dayna Roselli: We love a good haunted story.
- 14:54Dayna Roselli: Um, you went to see Brandon Flowers, we forgot to talk about it, at the Encore Theater at Wynn, which is an intimate venue.
- 15:01Dayna Roselli: How is that?
- 15:01Dayna Roselli: Because he's doing something uh where he's touring solo for his solo album.
- 15:05Sean McAllister: Yeah, so uh Brandon Flowers out with his third uh solo album.
- 15:09Sean McAllister: It's called Thrasher, and so he's been out on tour, um, stopped here for a couple shows at uh Win Las Vegas, and uh Brandon Flowers is just great.
- 15:20Sean McAllister: Obviously, uh chunk of his life uh he lived here in Las Vegas.
- 15:26Sean McAllister: Right.
- 15:26Dayna Roselli: And if you don't know, he's the lead singer of the Killers.
- 15:28Dayna Roselli: Sorry, there might be people who don't know who we're talking about.
- 15:31Sean McAllister: And that's where the his the whole the Killers band kind of had their whole b uh upbringing and rise to fame uh here in Las Vegas or a Vegas rock band, and Brandon even said during the concert, he was like, you know, as as I've been introduced over the years, I've been introduced as the lead singer of uh the Vegas rock band The Killers.
- 15:53Sean McAllister: Right and he said, But there's this whole other part of my life um where I grew up in southern Utah, and that's like where the country western roots and influence of his career comes from.
- 16:08Sean McAllister: And so he put this uh album together, Thrasher, which is a country western album, and he said he played it for his dad.
- 16:17Sean McAllister: They were going for a drive in the truck, and he started playing the album, and his dad turned to him and he said, Brandon, finally.
- 16:24Sean McAllister: Oh my gosh, how funny because he said this is like the influence of the music that he would hear when he was driving around with his dad.
- 16:32Sean McAllister: Right.
- 16:32Sean McAllister: You know, they would have the Country Western channel on and Merle Haggard and like all those Country Western uh classic singers.
- 16:40Sean McAllister: That's the influence.
- 16:42Sean McAllister: There's also a lot of Vegas influence on this album, also.
- 16:45Sean McAllister: So check out Thrasher, it's out now.
- 16:48Sean McAllister: Um Brandon Flowers, always a great concert, and um Yeah, because he had two shows planned, and then I think he added a third because it was so people love him here.
- 16:57Dayna Roselli: I mean they love him all over, but and then he's continuing his little tour, right?
- 17:01Sean McAllister: Uh he's still out and uh out and about, and um if you get a chance to go see Brandon, it's great.
- 17:07Sean McAllister: And then if the killers uh announce another tour, they're always phenomenal too.
- 17:12Dayna Roselli: So um, okay.
- 17:14Dayna Roselli: Well, if you want to find out who's playing and when, like some of the shows that we announced, you can download the Vegas Near Me app.
