- 0:22[SPEAKER_02]: So, away, we go.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_02]: Who are we?
- 0:25[SPEAKER_02]: We are MHI.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_02]: I am Luke Patterson, one half of MHI, joined with me as always.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_02]: Thomas Hall, Tom, it feels great to be back in the saddle with you in Scott Kennedy, Wednesday, night, 6pm Mountain.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_02]: It's time to talk some Broncos football.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_02]: where your Denver Broncos are in an AFC divisional playoff game at home, Denver, Colorado.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_02]: Tom, take me back to training camp.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_02]: If I were to tell you, here we would be sitting.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_02]: January 14th, 2026, the Broncos have the number one AFC slot and Josh Allen and the
- 1:06[SPEAKER_01]: how we feel.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think I would have believed it because I didn't know they were going to win as many games as they did.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_01]: I thought 12 was their their top, but they they shocked me, they shocked a lot of people, obviously some people still think they're frauds, but I mean you went 14 games, you tie, you
- 1:24[SPEAKER_01]: The franchise record for the most games and people are still doubting them.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_01]: It really bothers me, but no, I wouldn't have thought I thought they would be going to Buffalo most likely not having Buffalo come to the my eye city.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_02]: No, it's time for some get back, man.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_02]: We all remember what that 31 to 7 beat down that happened in Buffalo last year.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_02]: Um, obviously, Botanix is rookie season, Sean Peyton and Beau finally get the Broncos back into the playoffs.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_02]: But things are different this year and how much and how quickly things can change in just 12 months.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_02]: Here we sit.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_02]: And it is a new season.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_02]: We have a lot to get to in this show.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_02]: Let's start off.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_02]: I know it's been a minute.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_02]: How many?
- 2:06[SPEAKER_02]: Let's say hello to some of the MHH super chat super stars who have been waiting to talk.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos bills all day on Wednesday.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_02]: I've been talking with the good folks.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_02]: Over on X, over on Facebook, Broncos Country,
- 2:21[SPEAKER_02]: for this football game, including our dear, dear, beloved friend, Diana Hendry.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you so much, Diana, always showing up every week.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_02]: Many blessings to you and your family, and speaking of blessings, we are blessed with a very generous $50 super chat.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_02]: To start the show, two minutes in, away, we go.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_02]: Diana, fire and hot, saying, good evening, Luke and Thomas.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_02]: I, Bo, leave in our Broncos team, beating the bills.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_02]: hit the like button to subscribe and share the media they keep saying that Josh Allen's hurt I think it's the downplay him to fool the Broncos or if the Broncos win the bills can always say well Josh Allen wasn't at his best wow a lot to unpack there from Diana Tom what do you think
- 3:10[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I don't think it would just be the bills saying that I think the media would be saying it if the Broncos beat him well, Josh Allen was hurt because they're there go, he's the golden child right now.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_01]: He's the, he's the star quarterback of the league with Mahomes, you know, sitting at home, nursing his knees.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_01]: So I think it's not just the bills.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's the media members and everybody else, they because they still don't believe in this Broncos team.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_01]: The Broncos are going to have to win it off for them to get
- 3:36[SPEAKER_01]: And who knows, some people probably will still say they don't deserve it for some reason, but I'm with you, Dan, I think you make excuses ahead of time, so just in case something happens where they lose, they can say, wow, you know, we weren't at full strength.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_01]: And hey, you, you've got to play the game.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_01]: That's what happens.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_01]: If you don't win enough games, you, you don't get that by week to rest up your players and get healthy.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_01]: When more games during the season, and then you're going to be in that spot where Denver is.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_02]: I think DNA is on to something, I think a lot of folks, whether it be in sports, on social media, or in life, like to make excuses.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_02]: And we don't make excuses on this show.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_02]: We call our shots, sometimes we're right, sometimes we're wrong, but we own it, we poke fun of each other, and we have a lot of fun.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_02]: Case in point, I thought Kayla Williams and the bearers were shot last weekend, DNA, I really did.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_02]: I'm taking laps, I'm Kayla Williams, I can't stand the guy.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_02]: And the Green Bay Packers, a lot of them right back into the game.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_02]: Here we go, the Chicago Bears are in the divisional round.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_02]: Where I would push back, just a smidgen, if I may, Deanna.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_02]: I think Josh Allen's banged up.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's bruised up.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_02]: I write about it in my keys to victory.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_02]: I'll take you through it tomorrow morning at milehighhuddle.com.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_02]: But doesn't matter if Josh Allen's hurt.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_02]: Doesn't matter if he's banged up.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely not.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_02]: The guy's a warrior.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_02]: He's a beast.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to be out there.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_02]: We watched every minute of what he did to the Jacksonville Jagguires.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_02]: I think so many times people want to try to fan bases, well, Josh wasn't at his best.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_02]: Well, Josh didn't have healthy wide receivers.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_02]: And conversely, I don't hear a lot of that coming out of the Broncos country, which makes me feel really, really good about things.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_02]: I see some attitude.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_02]: over there at Broncos HQ, specifically from Sean Peyton, making fun of reporters talking about Jray Greenlock coming downhill, uh, bow next looking unenthused at the podium, if you will.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_02]: And I like it.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know about Utah.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know about you, Diana.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_02]: But I think this Broncos team is locked in.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_02]: They're ready to go and they're loaded for bear.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_02]: We'll get into the injury report.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_02]: We'll talk about where Josh Allen is at, what he needs to do, how the Broncos can stifle what Josh Allen brings to the party.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_02]: But Josh Allen has been a name that has haunted Broncos country for seven years now.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I got it.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_02]: We're talking about John L. Way, right?
- 5:51[SPEAKER_02]: L. Way, the great, the goat.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_02]: What?
- 5:53[SPEAKER_02]: There's only one of them.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_02]: And
- 5:55[SPEAKER_02]: Netflix before the show starts.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_02]: Have you seen the documentary?
- 5:59[SPEAKER_02]: Haven't you?
- 6:00[SPEAKER_02]: Where are we at with things?
- 6:01[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I see John L. Way on Club Shay Shay with Shannon Sharp the other day Tom saying, man,
- 6:16[SPEAKER_02]: the Josh Allen was the one that got away seven years ago.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_02]: It turns out he just made room for new bay and new bay is bow Chapman Nick's Tom.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_02]: How are we feeling about bone Nick's Josh Allen Broncos country?
- 6:31[SPEAKER_02]: Can we finally get that Josh Allen monkey off of our backs this Saturday night?
- 6:36[SPEAKER_01]: Well, let's hope so.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_01]: And the one thing that I do like about bone nicks when it comes to these longer, uh, a by week, longer time to prepare is he is a quarterback who thrives on being able to prepare for their opponent.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he's as good when it's, you know, three or four days, you know, before the next game, the Thursday nights, things like that.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_01]: He's just not as good.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_01]: But when he has a time to prepare, he's a much better quarterback in my mind.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_01]: And I think you're going to be able to see that coming out of the gate.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_01]: on Saturday because he's had two weeks to get ready to get prepared.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_01]: He's been, you know, fully locked in for that time, you know, resting up.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_01]: And I think I think you're going to see probably the best playup bonus that we've seen so far will be this weekend.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_02]: boom, goosebumps.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_02]: I know David's all about it.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_02]: David's been on the bow-leave bandwagon along with the Anna and the rest of Broncos countries since the season started and Tom, you were very optimistic.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_02]: You thought what, 12 wins?
- 7:35[SPEAKER_02]: I thought 11.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_02]: I think Scott was right there at 11 or 12 too.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_02]: We had a lot of high expectations coming into this.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_02]: And sometimes it's a pinch yourself moment.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_02]: David's saying, good evening, Broncos country.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_02]: Remember, you got to win three.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_02]: people love to take shots at Sean I think Sean feeds off of it a little bit at times likes to troll people likes to troll opponents and other teams and we have to remember right when when he brought the lumbarty into the Saint's locker room you seven years six years ago saying when three fn games and this is what you get and it's stacks full of cash in the lumbarty trophy.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think he needs to do that.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_02]: with this 2025 Broncos squad.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_02]: I think they're focused.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_02]: I think they're ready.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_02]: I can't tell you how much I think having a week off does for this football team.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_02]: 13 days Tom 13 days will pass since the Denver Broncos played a professional football game.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_02]: Meanwhile, the Buffalo bills are on a short six day work week.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_02]: Their whole team is banged up.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to get into the
- 8:44[SPEAKER_02]: uh... but watching that bills jags game and i got to tell you it's kind of ruined for buffalo i've wanted buffalo to come to the mile high city it's not about getting revenge for last year it's about writing some wrongs and it's about finally getting the josh allen nightmare out of our mouths how do they do that
- 9:05[SPEAKER_02]: That's up to them and we'll take you through it and how we think the Broncos can get three keys to victory here in just a little bit.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_02]: But before we do, let's open it up to the chat.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_02]: David Youngkin, Tom, a very generous 499 super chat.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_02]: One of our exclusive members in the MHH community really appreciate your big day.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_02]: Look forward to the win.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_02]: 17 and three are offense.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_02]: They've got to be lights out.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, for sure, for sure.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_01]: They've got to be able to keep pace that defense.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_01]: It seems
- 9:33[SPEAKER_01]: uh... peaked early and then it's kind of slid down but i think they're gonna be ready to go i think you know what they they put out on the field hasn't been what they're used to being uh... used to what fans are used to but i think they're going to be dialed back in there going to be playing their brand of
- 9:48[SPEAKER_01]: of Denver defense, the, and the, like I said, the offense is going to have that extra time to prepare, but they're, they're going to have to put up some points.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_01]: I, it's not, I don't think it's going to be a defensive struggle.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_01]: Although back in the day, the right, I want to see wrong.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_01]: The class is back in 1991 when the bills beat the Broncos 10 to 7 defensive struggle.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_01]: The only touchdown was late in the game that was for the offense on the Broncos late in the game.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_01]: And they went into the Super Bowl again.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_01]: That was it.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_01]: So that's the wrong I want to see right?
- 10:22[SPEAKER_01]: Because they haven't beat the bills in the playoffs yet.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_01]: So that's that's mine.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_02]: No, 1991, a bad year for the Broncos, a good year for yours truly.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_02]: That was my birth year, Tom.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_02]: Just I mean, everybody was wondering.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_02]: So we got to get that out there and look, guys, we're, I got to ask Tom about this.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_02]: It's driving me crazy.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_02]: The Las Vegas wise guys, right?
- 10:39[SPEAKER_02]: The sport books, the guys that know how the money and the game is gonna go.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_02]: Well, one day they say the bills are favored.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_02]: The other day, actually today, the Broncos are favored.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_02]: What do we make of it underdogs overdogs?
- 10:54[SPEAKER_02]: We got to get to it, but speaking of the playoffs guys, underdog is the best place to get in on all of the action.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_02]: It's time to get off the bench and into the game.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_02]: Head on over to underdog by the way.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_02]: It's not just football.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_02]: Whether you're in a basketball hockey or any sport in-between.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_02]: Underdog is the best place to get in on all the action all season long.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_01]: Playing on underdog is easy.

- 12:27[SPEAKER_02]: Boom, Broncos Country, we are talking, the divisional round is the buffalo bills are welcome to the Mile High City.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to be nasty.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_02]: Mile high magic.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to be nasty out there for Josh Allen.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_02]: You're not going to see so many Wyoming Cowboys making the trip where Bill's uniforms or Bill's Jersey's rather.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_02]: I think you're going to see an overwhelming force of orange.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_02]: Remember the United Orange?
- 12:51[SPEAKER_02]: We didn't get something like that going here for this playoff season.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_02]: I can't wait and speaking of Shannon Mills with a very generous
- 13:03[SPEAKER_02]: of the MHH community coming in and sounding off saying, listen, fellas, I would love to see real deal, jaleal McLaughlin run all over the bill's defense, go Broncos.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to take more than just RJ Harvey, Shannon's on to something here.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos have to utilize what they've got.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Quadzilla, real deal, jaleal.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely, yeah, I mean, they need a different one to punch.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_01]: They haven't been getting a huge amount of, I would say production out of their running backs since JK Dobbs went down.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_01]: It hasn't been terrible, it hasn't been terrible at all, but you know, the playoffs, you've got to have that running game going and you know, you got to play good defense and you got to be careful with the ball.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_01]: Those are the things that the Broncos need to do and if they can do that, I think they can,
- 13:51[SPEAKER_01]: Come away with the wind because the bills are banged up.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_01]: There's no doubt about it.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they've got a few starters on injured reserve.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_01]: They got a lot of people on the injury report.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_01]: Broncos are relatively healthy other than the three starters that are sitting on injured reserve.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_01]: The rest of the team is, you know, is ready to go.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_01]: So I think there's a huge advantage.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_01]: And I still understand why the Broncos are not.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_01]: the overwhelming favorites.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_01]: And I get, I mean, it's a popularity contest.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_01]: It's, it's how the betting goes.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_01]: It swings with one way.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_01]: Vegas doesn't want to lose money.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_01]: So they've got to make sure that the people are betting the right, you know, the way they want them to bet.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_01]: So it's, it's all about the betting.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_01]: But I'll tell you in a bit why I am glad they're not huge favorites.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_02]: It's interesting, and I think you're on to something their time and Shannon, I like that.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_02]: I like the Julio McLaughlin take.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_02]: I think some folks may scoff at that, but
- 14:47[SPEAKER_02]: Listen, unsuspecting targets and unsuspecting offensive playmakers, I'll take it for the Denver Broncos.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_02]: Whether that's on Saturday, Sunday, Thursday, Monday, the week, let's just get in the end zone.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I don't remember anybody being upset at Nate Atkins scoring touchdowns.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_02]: Adam Troutman getting into the end zone.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_02]: This team, this Denver Broncos team on Saturday, they have to give
- 15:10[SPEAKER_02]: They're very best, John Rambo in personation.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_02]: What do I mean by that?
- 15:15[SPEAKER_02]: They need to draw first blood, Tom.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_02]: This offense has to come out and they have to start hot.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_02]: Now, you said something about the Broncos getting a little bit of hate, not being respected.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_02]: And I would rather them be that way.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want this team content.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want them feeling themselves.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_02]: I am
- 15:37[SPEAKER_02]: can't believe I'm going to say this.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_02]: I'm grateful that the Jacksonville jag wires kicked our ass a few weeks ago.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_02]: I really am.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_02]: They got kicked in the teeth.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_02]: They needed a wake-up call.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_02]: I think they're ready to answer the call of duty this Saturday night against the bills.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_02]: But when you look at things, we have to remember Josh Allen versus Bonyx.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_02]: It's not exactly going to work out that way, right?
- 15:58[SPEAKER_02]: It's Josh Allen against the Broncos defense.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_02]: It's Bonyx against the
- 16:03[SPEAKER_02]: Which quarterback is better?
- 16:04[SPEAKER_02]: I-No problem, Susie.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_02]: Josh Allen.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_02]: I would rather have Josh Allen on my team.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_02]: Remember, this is a team sport.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_02]: And I feel undoubtedly that this Broncos team is so much better than this Buffalo Bill team.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_02]: We also have to remember, Josh Allen has been playing in the league for what?
- 16:26[SPEAKER_02]: Seven seasons, bows in year two, they're very similar.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_02]: They're very different.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_02]: I am grateful to have Bo Chapman next strapping up for the Broncos.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, talent-wise, it's hard to argue that the Broncos are less talented than the Buffalo bills are.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_01]: Other than the quarterback, you can't really make that argument, especially banged up as they are.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_01]: The issues that I find with the Broncos, which has happened all year, is the mental mistakes and the lack of takeaways by the defense.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_01]: If those are fixed in the playoffs, the talent will carry them through, but they've got to make sure that those don't come back to haunt them.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_02]: Well, and listen, this is a different draw challenge that we're seeing this year.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_02]: This is a different Buffalo Bill scene that we're seeing this year.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_02]: And I think it's easy to get caught up in the fandom of we gotta get revenge for last year.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_02]: Damn revenge, we got bigger fish to fry.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_02]: It starts with the bills on Saturday, but you just look at the bills coming off of a short 60 work week.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos got to kick back and put their feet up.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_02]: They got to get healthy.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_02]: They got to tweak some things on the offense, tweak some things on the defense,
- 17:34[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to take you through it builds jags what happened last week we're going to get into it into this show.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_02]: I saw a lot of good things from the jag wires that make me feel very optimistic for this Broncos team and we'll get to the injury report here in a little bit but before we do let's continue saying hello to all the men and the women in the chat lots of eyes on us here tonight is Broncos country's ready it's been 10 years Tom.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_02]: 10 years, uh, call it a coincidence.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not superstitious.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_02]: Some kind of stitches.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_02]: The 10 year anniversary is Super Bowl 50 Super Bowl at Santa Clara.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_02]: Talk to me about the importance of the playoffs in Denver, Colorado.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'll just give you a little, uh, a little, uh, a bit of history.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_01]: So the Bronx is a bit of school time.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_01]: The Bronx have been the number one seed.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_01]: Now nine times eight times before.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_01]: In six of those matchups, or six of those times everyone I'm gonna see, they went to the Super Bowl.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_01]: It's very important to be at home.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_01]: Six out of eight, they went to the Super Bowl.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_01]: The only two times that they didn't go is they lost in the division around.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_01]: They were huge favorites, which is why I'm glad they're not huge favorites right now, 1996.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_01]: And in 2012, they got bumped into the division around when everybody thought they were gonna roll right in.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_01]: So,
- 18:54[SPEAKER_01]: I'm, those are good odds for me.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you're the number one seed.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_01]: You're in Denver.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_01]: The path to the Super Bowl goes through your home stadium.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_01]: It's a huge advantage on top of the fact that they got to rest.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_01]: So that's why getting the number one seed, especially in this new format, is so important.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_01]: You're the only one that gets the rest.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_01]: You're at home.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_01]: Two games.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_01]: You win two games.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_02]: You're in the
- 19:22[SPEAKER_02]: the Broncos being jinxed, cursed, whatever I got to say, would have Josh Allen's a little envious of the Denver Broncos right now.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_02]: After all, they've got an offensive, I'm not going to call him a whiz, but they've got him an offensive head coach and Sean Payton.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_02]: who believes in his quarterback.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_02]: He's the play caller.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_02]: He's not giving up play duties.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_02]: You don't have to worry about your your head coach making defensive knuckle head calls.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_02]: You don't have to worry about the same old thing year and year out.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_02]: I'm so tired here and about this is Josh Allen's year because Pat my homes isn't in it.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_02]: Lamar Jackson isn't in it.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_02]: Perhaps, but I watched the same wildcard weekend that everybody else did.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_02]: and pick them went pretty rough for yours truly.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_02]: I bought the lot of games last week and Tom because it's so damn hard to win football games and then the playoffs.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_02]: They're a whole nother animal.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_02]: You look at how closely the Jaguars played the bills.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_02]: And I mean, no disrespect to Josh Allen, when I poke fun at him, when I call him bruised and battered, he is, take a look at the guy on the injury reports, foot, knee, right finger.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, dare I say neck?
- 20:33[SPEAKER_02]: He had a concussion protocol that he had to go through a little bit during the game or an evaluation, I should say.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_02]: Josh Allen got his ass whipped, and he kept coming at him.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_02]: I will say this.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_02]: He is the toughest quarterback right now in the NFL.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_02]: He's an iron man.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to strap it up.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_02]: He's not going to make excuses.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_02]: But again, Tom, this is a team sport last time I checked.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_02]: Bow nicks doesn't have to go out there and do everything.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_02]: Josh Allen.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_02]: He sure has held us.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely because their team is banged up and they don't have that much talent.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they they have been living on Josh Allen saving them for too long.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_01]: They haven't built around him the way they should.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_01]: That's why he hasn't made it to the Super Bowl and it's only gotten worse in my opinion.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_01]: We're so offensive line.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_01]: They had a good offensive line back and you know,
- 21:21[SPEAKER_01]: a few years ago, it's gotten worse.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_01]: Their defense has gotten worse with the injuries and the player's leaving.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_01]: Why does he record?
- 21:28[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, not, I'm not trying to say that they're a pushover and that they're just going to walk right over the bills.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_01]: They're a good team.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_01]: They are in the playoffs.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_01]: They got there because they want enough games.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_01]: They're a solid team.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't think they're this juggernaut that people are thinking they are because they're looking back at a couple years ago when they were going toe to toe with the chiefs when the chiefs were a juggernaut.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_01]: The bills are just going to walk into mile high and come out victorious and that's just not going to be the case Shannon way and back in very generous 999.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_02]: Thanks a lot Shannon very active in the chat tonight and exclusive member of the community Josh Allen was more of a quote game manager in that Jacksonville game due to all of the injuries yet Josh Allen looked dog tired Josh Allen looked
- 22:13[SPEAKER_02]: just like he was going to will that team to victory and I respect him.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_02]: I salute him.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not wearing my Wyoming cowboy.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_02]: Who the anymore of this week, Tom.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not doing it.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_02]: I told my wife today.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_02]: I've got to stop.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_02]: If I do, it's for Frank Crump, right?
- 22:28[SPEAKER_02]: In the Denver Broncos.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_02]: That's where we're at in the Patterson household.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_02]: Here's a guy good friend of the show.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_02]: I haven't seen him in a minute.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_02]: Tea time with Larry.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_02]: What is up?
- 22:37[SPEAKER_02]: Lawrence Rivera massive support over on Facebook.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_02]: Bless you, my friend.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_02]: I hope things are well.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_02]: What's up, everybody?
- 22:45[SPEAKER_02]: My son is gonna be so happy when we get back at Josh Allen for talking about CSU this year when Wyoming retired his jersey.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_02]: We got some love for the Rams in the house tonight with Lawrence Rivera.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_02]: I hear you, man, and that's the thing.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not conflicted.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not upset about it.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_02]: I want to see Josh Allen get his ass whipped on Saturday, all right?
- 23:07[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm not gonna feel bad about it.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I think finally we're at the point now.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_02]: We're just feels like, I don't know, feel like Josh Allen was the one that got away.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_02]: He was, oh, man, if only, if only, if only.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_02]: And it turns out he needs room for bonus.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_02]: It turns out there is another, right?
- 23:26[SPEAKER_02]: To channel my Yoda on MHI here on Wednesday night and Larry coming right back again, it's still better to be a Broncos fan than Bill's mafia.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely love it.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_01]: And you know what else is good to about getting bonus now is the the front office built a really good team around him as they were looking for that quarterback.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_01]: So they've went out and got some really good draft picks.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_01]: They made some really good free agency moves.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_01]: And now they have a very talented team around a quarterback who is, you know, only in a second year and really starting to get better in my opinion.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_01]: He's starting to get better.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to take time.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_01]: It's like I said, second year, but he's he's starting to get better.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_01]: He's winning more games.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, he's playing really well in the fourth quarter when they need him the most.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_01]: So that's to me is the difference between getting Josh Allen a long time ago is they built that team and now they slaughtered that quarterback in who I really like.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he's not the superstar yet.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_01]: I think he can grow a little bit more, but he's a darn good quarterback and it's what the Broncos need at the moment.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_02]: Now, both nicks doesn't get any love.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_02]: We know that at the Denver Broncos, any love, and yeah, it irks me a bothers me a little bit, but I would much rather it be the case.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_02]: We've been, we in Broncos country, right?
- 24:45[SPEAKER_02]: We've been in the fortunate scenario of damn record breaking offense, Tom, and I hate to bring up bad memories for you, because I know you were there at Super Bowl 48, right?
- 24:55[SPEAKER_02]: But,
- 24:56[SPEAKER_02]: Man, Peyton Manning and the record breaking offense, the Legion of Boom, and things just fell flat.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_02]: I think the Broncos were filming themselves a little bit in Super Bowl 48.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_02]: I think they ultimately had to change their identity.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_02]: They went defense.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_02]: I still believe defense cannellin championships.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to find out.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_02]: Come on Saturday.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_02]: Diana coming back again, Tom Holy wow, another very generous $50 super chat.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_02]: Diana, thank you for many blessings.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos do need to run the ball, guys.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_02]: I agree.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_02]: Jaluma, Glawlin, well, he needs more touches, but we need to sack Josh Allen, six, seven times.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_02]: They also need to keep Josh Allen off the field any way they can.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_02]: The fans, they need to get loud and our Broncos tight ends need to catch the ball.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_02]: We need to play strong, we need to win.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_02]: Man, so much to unpack there from Diana, Diana, stay tuned for my keys to victory.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_02]: I talked about your tight ends and receivers tomorrow.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_02]: How they get the ball?
- 25:56[SPEAKER_02]: Where they get the ball when they get the ball and how the Broncos win stay tuned over a mile.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_02]: I held a dot com Chad it was for Chad Thomas funny Chad's bother in us Right, he's like boys.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_02]: It's a short week.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_02]: I need predictions in I've got my prediction all typed up The only thing is the score.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not sure how this one's gonna go.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_02]: I think
- 26:14[SPEAKER_02]: going to be close.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_02]: It's not because I'm listening to the wise guys in Vegas or anything like that.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_02]: But man, I can't wait to send my prediction in.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_02]: I'm curious what yours will be.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_02]: You can read about them at milehigh.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_02]: Hello dot com tomorrow.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_02]: Also curious to see where the staff stands in the pick-up.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_02]: No, you were really, really good last year.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_02]: We're all kind of up there with the Broncos right now.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's going to be tough to declare a winner if any.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_02]: But I digress will find out.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we'll see.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I don't want to give my prediction yet.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_01]: But I guess I'll just say this.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like the Broncos are going to be able to win this game.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_01]: I think everybody's doubted him.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_01]: I think they're going to come out sharp and like Deanna said, they're going to catch the ball.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_01]: They're not, I mean, you watch that Philadelphia.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_01]: You watch the AJ Brown.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_01]: Like he was talking all year about how he's not getting.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_01]: And then he goes and blows it.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_01]: That stuff's not going to happen for the Broncos.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_01]: The Broncos are going to be dialed in.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to catch the ball.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_01]: I think they're gonna limit their mistakes and I think the defense is gonna play like they did earlier in the season because this is a whole new season now.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they're they're hyped they're ready to go.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_01]: So I think the Broncos at home can get it done.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_01]: But again, that mental mistakes, they just, they can't be there.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_02]: No, the mental mistakes they've got to be limited, but if I'm being honest, I'm good with it.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm coming into this game and I'm expecting mistakes.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_02]: Why?
- 27:36[SPEAKER_02]: Because they happen in every game.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_02]: I'm also expecting a turnover.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_02]: I'm saying at least one, I hope one for the Broncos defense, but if both and the Broncos offense, somehow finds a way to cough it up, they've figured out how to overcome that.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_02]: Fourth quarter.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_02]: They're the comeback kids.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sick and tired of the Chicago bear.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_02]: Cardiac kids, Caleb Williams.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_02]: Let's paint my nails.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_02]: No, none of that.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_02]: Bonesix and the Broncos have been doing that for longer.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_02]: They do it better and there is just a huge difference when you look at the identity of Sean Peyton Bonesix in this Denver Broncos squad.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_02]: versus the Chicago Bears, and even our opponent this week in Josh Allen and the Bills.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_02]: Film a glob Flynn.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_02]: What's up Phil?
- 28:16[SPEAKER_02]: Phil, Phil, come in in over on Facebook, a huge supporter of the show.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_02]: Many blessings to you and yours, man.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_02]: We appreciate your generosity.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_02]: Good evening, Thomas Luke and Deacon Scott.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_02]: Tom, give Phil an X-factor player on each side of the ball.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_02]: He's going with
- 28:37[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'm going to go in the defensive side.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_01]: I think Drake Greenlaw, who has been okay, has been great.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_01]: He was expecting a lot more.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to come up big on the defense.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to come up big this game.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_01]: He's pumped and ready to roll.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_01]: I know I think he knows that he hasn't played well or up to his standards this season, but like I said, so new season, he's healthy, he's ready to go.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_01]: Offensive side of the ball, I'm going to go dig deep and I'm going to go with the rookie
- 29:06[SPEAKER_01]: Bryant to come up big in some clutch situations to move the chains and maybe even score a touchdown.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_02]: Pat brought wow.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_02]: That was a deep pull as well.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_02]: Shannon with Julio Tom with Pat Ryan.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_02]: I absolutely love it from my X factors.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to go with some Allen on Allen crime.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_02]: Happened last week in Jacksonville.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_02]: It's about to happen again here in Denver.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_02]: Zach Allen is a one man wrecking crew on this defensive line.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_02]: The Buffalo bit.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_02]: They're going to be on ice skates after this run game is shut down and I'll take you through it.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_02]: This James Cook factor, not buying it.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_02]: One of my keys to victory.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_02]: I take you and break you down on how the Buffalo bills have fallen from grace and why it's all on Josh Allen.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of it has to do with the old line James Cook.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_02]: So Zach Allen on defense for me.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to go with over liable.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_02]: Cortland Sutton.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_02]: It is time for a demerious Thomas playoff moment.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_02]: Just like Tibo to D.T.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_02]: against the Steelers that walk off when Cortland Sutton's looking for a walk off moment.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_02]: Just like his his mentor, his friend, the late, the great demerious Thomas.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_02]: So give me Cortland Sutton Zach Allen for the X factors in this game.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_02]: A fantastic question from Phil and Broncos Country.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_02]: You are alive
- 30:26[SPEAKER_02]: absolutely love it.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_02]: People are firing away their predictions.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_02]: People are given their opinions.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_02]: People are talking smack and I am here for all of it.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's Wednesday, Tom.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_02]: The game is just few days away.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_02]: What do you make of that?
- 30:40[SPEAKER_02]: Huge advantage, obviously, for the Broncos 13 days off, the bill's six.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_02]: Sometimes teams can come out a little rusty and we often reference the by week when I think of these things.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_02]: Do you think there's any chance in hell that this
- 30:56[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, there is a chance, but it's they didn't rest their starters.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_01]: They didn't rest a bunch of people in the regular season.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_01]: So it's it's basically like a buy week.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_01]: It'll elect your time to prepare.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_01]: It's not like they haven't played in three for weeks, you know, like when people rest their starters at the end of the season.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't think that.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_01]: But it isn't advantage because, again, they got healthy and the bills didn't have time to get fully healthy.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_01]: They've got a shorter rest period.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_01]: Now, yes, there is some advantage to being in a rhythm and things like that, but again, it's not like they didn't play it all in week 18.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_01]: And then they had to buy.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_01]: And now they're finally playing again and they're rusty.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it really is just a little bit extra time to prepare, but they're still in that rhythm that they had during the season in my life.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_01]: In my mind, I don't think it's a rust thing.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_01]: I'm with you.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_02]: And it doesn't mean that they could start off bumpy, right, a little slow.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_02]: And what do I mean by bumpy three and out?
- 31:53[SPEAKER_02]: Right, right, not getting a feel going that first drive.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_02]: I think, uh, man, that was a little bit of a let down.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go down there and get six and least get three.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_02]: Kind of a thing.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_02]: Um, but I just look at this bill squad, Tom and James Cook, not to get after the guy, but he was non-existent against the Jacksonville Jaguars, missing in action, whatever you want to call him, 46 rushing yards, a long gain of 11, give me a break.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_02]: And then you talk about Gabe Davis.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_02]: highwell shavers both tearing their ACL against the jags.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, these are the injuries that we're talking about.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_02]: You can pull up the injury report.
- 32:30[SPEAKER_02]: It's out there on social media.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_02]: I'll retweet it later if I got to do it.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_02]: But the bills this long, the Broncos this long.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_02]: And I just, I look at James Cook.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_02]: He hasn't recorded
- 32:42[SPEAKER_02]: ordered a 100-yard rushing game since week 16 against the Browns, a game that the bills only won by a field goal, because I know that means so much to the National Media, right?
- 32:53[SPEAKER_02]: And how the Broncos are pretenders, because they win by one point, two points or three could give an absolute rip.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_02]: We also have to remember James Cook, he's got a career high six fumbles this season time.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_02]: I'll take you through it tomorrow at milehighhotel.com.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_02]: He's the reason why Josh Allen is so banged up right now.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_02]: They're getting these gold-to-go scenarios.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_02]: They're not handing it to James Cook.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_02]: They're giving it to Josh Allen.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_02]: And Josh Allen has paying the price to get to the end zone.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_02]: Meanwhile, this Broncos defense, they're fomin' at the mouth.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_02]: They're lying in wait.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's quite literally Josh Allen entering the lion's den.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_01]: And there are better team against the run than they were last year at the same time, too.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_01]: When they got steam rolled over by the bill's running game, they're better defense against the run.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_01]: There are more subtle defense.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they lost Brandon Jones, which hurts, but who Fong has been a huge pickup, excellent against the run.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_01]: I like I said, Drake Greenlaw, he needs to step up, and I think he is going to.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_01]: it's not going to be the same situation where they're going to rely on their running game and they're just going to keep pound in the rock right down Broncos throughout this year because they can't the if the Broncos defense plays the way they have all season long.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to be able to stop the run that's going to be up to Josh Allen to save them.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't think they got enough weapons left to help him out.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, we got Bill's mafia in the house, Renaissance man, 94, 86 coming in and I love it.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_02]: What's up, man?
- 34:23[SPEAKER_02]: Love to get opposing opinions and let's get into it.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_02]: James Cook over 100 yards on Sunday easily.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_02]: I hate to do it, Renaissance, but you're going to make me do it.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_02]: There was only one.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_02]: 100 yard rusher that the Broncos defense allowed this season happened way back when week two Jonathan Taylor it used to be it used to be Thomas you know vans Joseph his Achilles heel stuffing the run that has been completely washed
- 34:50[SPEAKER_02]: out of there the last two seasons he doubled down this year did a very good job last year, but to say that James Cook is going to get a hundred yards on Sunday easily against a healthy Broncos defense.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_02]: This got John Franklin Myers-Humman, back at practice, full participant, Zach Allen, Nick Bonito, John Cooper, your guy, who's a Riqueh?
- 35:12[SPEAKER_02]: My guy, DJ Jones.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, come on, man.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_02]: Come on, Bill's mopping, you can break all the tables you want.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_02]: There's going to be more tables broken in the parking lot in Denver, Colorado, than James Cook will have rushing yards.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_02]: I promise you that.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_01]: I'll tell you though, the only way that cook gets over 100 yards is because the Broncos freaked up earlier in the game and are way behind and they just are going to keep feeding them the rock.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_01]: If it's a close game and they need to throw and they can't really rely on that, you know, force feed that running game, he's not going to get over 100 yards.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_01]: It has to be a situation where the Broncos have cough the ball up too many times and it's, you know, a two score game in the fourth quarter.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that would spell disaster, you know, sure.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_02]: It's a possibility, right?
- 36:02[SPEAKER_02]: Just like I asked you, man, it's a possibility, the Broncos start slow.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_02]: Sure.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_02]: I just, that's not this team's identity.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_02]: There I say it's their first priority on defense.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_02]: Stop the run and everything else will follow.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_02]: I mean,
- 36:16[SPEAKER_02]: There's a reason this past rushes hit home.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_02]: There's a reason this team leads the League in Sachs, and I know regular season stats they don't mean anything anymore.
- 36:26[SPEAKER_02]: But this relentless attack from this Bronco squad it comes in so many different waves.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't want to get into the all-pro thing, right?
- 36:35[SPEAKER_02]: I see people out there.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_02]: I'm Nick Benito was snubbed and he's out there crying on social media.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_02]: Good.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_02]: I'm glad he was snubbed.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_02]: He's shown up a little bit ghostly the last few weeks.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_02]: It's time to get after Nick.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_02]: It's time to get going, but it doesn't mean we don't believe in Nick Benito on this show.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_02]: It just means that the Broncos has so many defensive weapons.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_02]: How do you plan for them all if you're Buffalo?
- 36:55[SPEAKER_02]: You can leave Nick Bonito one on one with your offensive tackle.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_02]: No Well, what you can do with Jonathan Cooper we can do with Jonah Ellis.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_02]: There's another name.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_02]: We're not talking about Jonah Ellis has been playing lights out football The Ellis family this last year Tom could lord.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if you saw his brother new England the other night I know there's another one floating around in the land had damn good player The Ellis brothers man.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_02]: I'm glad we've got one
- 37:18[SPEAKER_02]: on this book goes deep, but I think this team is about the right things.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_02]: And what do I mean by that?
- 37:25[SPEAKER_02]: They believe in themselves.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_02]: Nobody gave this team a shot.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_02]: Nobody at BN in this AFC
- 37:35[SPEAKER_02]: I remember going on ESPN airwaves, right?
- 37:38[SPEAKER_02]: And people are saying, show up, Peyton.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_02]: He's talking Super Bowl expectations.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_02]: And he's had four teams that look like this.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_02]: And I had to say, man, that's some lofty goals.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of pressure.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_02]: They're proving their coach, right?
- 37:50[SPEAKER_02]: So far, this can be a special unit, but it could all be for not.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_02]: Should they cough it up this Saturday night?
- 37:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they have the talent to do it.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, anything happens, any given Sunday, but at home, you know, with the my high crowd, you've got a really good defense.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's not, it's not the 2015 defense, but it's really dang good, rare and to go.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_01]: You've got an adequate offense with a, and frankly, this team's been battle tested all year.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they have had, they believe in,
- 38:24[SPEAKER_01]: themselves.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_01]: They believe they can win every game because they went out and did it when nobody like when they're down 30 points, they still come back and win.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_01]: You know, so they're battle tested.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_01]: They're ready to go.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_01]: I think this is a playoff brand of football team.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_01]: If
- 38:41[SPEAKER_01]: they keep down those mental mistakes.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_01]: That's the only thing that bothers me, but otherwise this is a playoff like team and this is going to be a playoff atmosphere.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_01]: My life has been craving for 10 years this opportunity again for the Broncos to be at home and the playoff is going to be electric and as long as it can come out and put up a good show right away that crowd is going to be completely bonkers.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_02]: Well, listen, in eight and one home record is nothing to scoff that.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_02]: My high magic is back.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_02]: That's why it was so important to get this AFC number one seed.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_02]: Have home games, get that extra rest, and let's get after it.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_02]: And speaking of getting after it, man, all show long to start the show.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_02]: And she keeps coming, all her support.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_02]: all her generous love.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_02]: I see her out there.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_02]: She has something to say about James Cook.
- 39:33[SPEAKER_02]: Let's get into it.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_02]: Another 50 from Diana Hendry.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you so much.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_02]: Your support truly is overwhelming.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_02]: Listen guys, if we hold cook in Josh Allen, we definitely win this game.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_02]: I do not see cook getting many yards.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_02]: The bragos are going to be the bills defensive nightmare.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_02]: They're poised
- 39:56[SPEAKER_02]: I have faith in our team.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_02]: Go, Broncos.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_02]: Tom, Diana, Broncos country.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_02]: How do you think the bills are feeling about Denver?
- 40:08[SPEAKER_02]: And I asked that not for ceaselessly, but because I'm genuinely curious, I'm feeling super confident, I'm feeling very excited.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_02]: I'll be a little nervous, come Saturday morning, do not give me wrong.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm I'm ready for this.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_02]: I'm ready to see what this Broncos squad can do against Josh Allen.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_02]: What a formidable test regardless of the injuries regardless of what we say.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_02]: Josh Allen in the bills coming to Denver, Colorado.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_02]: Do you think Sean McDermott is giving the Broncos the respect that they deserve?
- 40:39[SPEAKER_02]: We know the national media is not.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_02]: Do the bills respect Denver.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because they're real football people, right?
- 40:46[SPEAKER_01]: They're, they're real, they play the games.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_01]: They see what's happening.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_01]: They don't buy into the, the fan saying, oh, they, they only won by a fuel goal.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_01]: You know, they don't care about that.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_01]: They know this team's talented.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_01]: They are, if they're, if they're buying into the hype, then they're gonna get their butts whipped.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_01]: Because,
- 41:04[SPEAKER_01]: That means that they don't have a clue what's going on.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_01]: This is a talented team.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_01]: I keep saying, as long as he was talented, and Bonix is better than people give him credit for, and other than losing JK Dobbins.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_01]: That's the only like significant
- 41:20[SPEAKER_01]: blow that they've taken.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I've been able to fill in Brandon Jones okay with PJ lock.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_01]: I think they can overcome that.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, it's just, Sean McDermott's not going to overlook the Broncos.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_01]: They want to, they want 14 games for crying out loud.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_01]: And it doesn't matter how they did it.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_01]: They did it.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what's important.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_01]: And if they are, like I said, they're going to get their butts whipped.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_02]: I just wonder a little bit if maybe like Spencer Brown at Oliver, right?
- 41:45[SPEAKER_02]: Some of the like the nasty big uglies are overlooking the Broncos a little bit, but like you said at Tom, they know football, right?
- 41:51[SPEAKER_02]: They're they're preparing.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_02]: They watch.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_02]: They see this this game film weekend and week out.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_02]: It does make me a little curious, you know, Sean McDermott and Sean Peyton.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_02]: They got love for each other.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_02]: Their friends are falling all over each other and their comments and the press this week.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_02]: It does make me wonder, let's all the comment earlier in the stream here tonight here on
- 42:11[SPEAKER_02]: If the bill's loose, I think this could be it for Sean McDermott.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_02]: I truly do.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_02]: You saw a ton of head coaching moves within the last two weeks.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_02]: Nobody saw really the Mike Tomlin stepping down thing coming.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_02]: We thought maybe his time was up, but the way he did it was odd.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_02]: Today, yesterday I should say, you hear Sean Peyton say, yeah.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_02]: I love my Tomlin, we're buddies too, and I send them all my black and yellow Jordans, cause I don't wear those colors.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe Sean Payton's gonna be sending Sean McDermott, blue and red Jordans, or hell, any Jordans, so we can sell them and get a job because if the bills lose this game, you've got to know that Buffalo's gonna be clamoring for an offensive mind, perhaps,
- 42:55[SPEAKER_02]: Bill's mafia will be the tad jealous of Broncos country saying they've got their offensive coordinator and play caller figured out in Sean Peyton and Bonix.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_02]: Why can't we have that?
- 43:06[SPEAKER_02]: What a weird twist of fate that would be Tom.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and frankly, I mean, I think McDermott's a good coach.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's done a really good job with it.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_01]: If they let him go, it won't be a surprise to me, but I think it's a bad move.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_01]: What they really need to figure out is how they build that team around Josh Allen, more than the coaching.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_01]: I think they've let Josh Allen down more by not getting him the talent that he needs.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_01]: rather than the ability to coach that team.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, I get it.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_01]: Sean McDermott's going to take the fall for that.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_01]: He's on the hot seat because he's had this Superman at quarterback and hasn't been it'll get over the hump.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so for me, it's like it's one of those things like, man, it would be a heck of a lot different had they built a better team around Josh Allen.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_01]: I think you'd have a different opinion.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_01]: I think Bill's, Ma, if you would have a different opinion of Sean McDermott if they had done this.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I agree with you Sean McDermott has definitely done a very good job with the bill's franchise in general, but you can't keep wasting years from Josh Allen.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, and fans get restless, right?
- 44:09[SPEAKER_02]: Especially when you've got a superstar quarterback, because that's what he is.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_02]: All right, I can play all poke fun of Josh Allen this week because he's the bad guy.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_02]: But don't get it to his to demand.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_02]: I usually roof for Josh Allen.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_02]: I don't roof for the bills.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_02]: I like to see Josh Allen do well.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_02]: However, there's a big monkey on his back right now saying, man, we get it.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_02]: You won your first
- 44:28[SPEAKER_02]: playoff game as above low bills quarterback road game in what thirty three years time and I get that right thirty three years to get it to get a to get a road playoff game for Buffalo man it is absolutely crazy the pressure couldn't get any more intense.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_02]: for the bills and the Broncos.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_02]: And circle and back around the wagon, man, our good friend Lawrence Rivera, what's up, Larry?
- 44:51[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate you so much for coming back in, man, and exclusive member of the MHH community.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_02]: Larry's on Facebook, he's on YouTube.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_02]: I wouldn't be surprised if he hits us up here on Twitch in a little bit.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_02]: Look, it's quiet when the offense and the rocket went on offense.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_02]: That's the key and rock the stadium went on defense.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_02]: please bring back the manning rule.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_02]: Please, everyone, don't drown out Boe.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_02]: Man, Larry, you're onto something there, Sean Payton had some comments of his own regarding the crowd, how important it is, and how important it is to get after Josh Allen before the huddle, not just when he gets to the line of scrimmage.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_02]: Get loud.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I found it interesting to watch the games and hear the crowd noise on offense.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it should be a much quieter in Broncos than they are.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_01]: They need the, the stadium needs to follow the manual.
- 45:42[SPEAKER_01]: Super quiet when the Broncos are out there in offense, but they're loud, man.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_01]: They were loud.
- 45:47[SPEAKER_01]: They've been loud all year and I, when, when I was at the Giants game, man, even though people left early, which
- 45:54[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it was good for me because I got a better seat.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_01]: It was still loud.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_01]: It was still really loud.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_01]: So I think they're going to show up in force.
- 46:02[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's going to be a rock and see.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_01]: And like I said, if the Broncos can come out and put some points on the board early, you know, and get get that lead and not, you know, come out with some mental mistakes right out of the gate.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_01]: That crowd is going to be electric.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_02]: Man, yeah, it's, who's going to the game?
- 46:18[SPEAKER_02]: Let us know.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_02]: We'll give you a shout out here on MHI, man, because we need everybody in Broncos country to show up.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_02]: Leave anything that is red and blue that combination in the closet, throw it in the back of the laundry and put one out of having any of that.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_02]: It's all orange and blue.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_02]: This Saturday, I can't wait to see Broncos country get after it.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_02]: just like Shannon's been getting after it, man, just like the rest of Broncos country all night with their generous support.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_02]: Your support is also overwhelming.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_02]: We very much appreciate you.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
- 46:47[SPEAKER_02]: Listen, I don't think either team is underestimating their opponent.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_02]: This game, it's got to come down in execution.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely and that's what keeps saying those mental mistakes no drop balls and you see the difference You see the difference in the games when this poor execution often this looks terrible when they execute well on both Office and defense for that matter.
- 47:10[SPEAKER_01]: They look like the talent that they have and so it is going to come down
- 47:14[SPEAKER_01]: to executing and making sure that you take care of those little things that, you know, like drop balls, no false starts, you know, things like that that can put you behind.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_01]: But when they don't do that, you see a really good offense and efficient offense and you see a really good defense.
- 47:31[SPEAKER_01]: I've seen it in games.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_01]: Every game that they've executed well has been a
- 47:38[SPEAKER_02]: 100% and listen, the Broncos offense, they need to start fast, Tom, we, we keep talking about that and I'm going to say this in addition to the penalties and limiting that.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_02]: No more exotic personnel groupings were bows yelling at Sean, come on, we got to go and we're getting delay games, you can't be doing that kind of crap in the AFC divisional round.
- 47:58[SPEAKER_02]: Alas, it's time to forego the expected receiver bubble screens.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_02]: It's time to get rid of the half-back delayed passes that have drawn frustration and negative yards all the regular season.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_02]: Listen guys, it is time for Beau to launch the deep ball.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_02]: I want to see that go to Cortland Sutton.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_02]: Tom wants to see it go to Pat Bryant.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_02]: Connect with Marvin Mims.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_02]: I don't care if they're crossing routes that are dangerous in the middle of the field.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_02]: Evan Ingraham, show up for me in the alley.
- 48:25[SPEAKER_02]: The scene works.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_02]: Street Grouts, those work, show me something different.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_02]: Show me that you've been preparing to score points, regardless of who you're opponent was going to be all wild card weekend.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_02]: And for me, Tom, the Broncos, they just, they can't afford to come out laxedasical.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_02]: They have to strike.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_02]: They have to go for blood.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to see if they have the killer instinct that we all hope that they do on offense.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_02]: We know the defense is full of dogs.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_02]: Josh Allen has got a no man coming into Denver.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_02]: Regardless of the outcome of the game, Josh Allen's going to leave the mile high city feeling like hell.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Zach Allen alone.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the amount of times he's hit murder bag all seems mind boggling.
- 49:15[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I mean, Josh Jones is going to have to earn his money.
- 49:19[SPEAKER_01]: No doubt about he's going to get hit and he's, you know, he's going to, I don't think that offensive line of the bills is going to be able to keep his jersey clean.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_01]: Whether he can withstand that and make the plays that he needs to make that, that will, you know, we'll see that on on Saturday.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_01]: Um, yeah, I just, yeah, I think the defense is just going to come out, fired up, ready to play.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_01]: And again, it's at home.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_01]: The Broncos went seven to one at home.
- 49:45[SPEAKER_01]: Well, technically more because they were, they want, want and London.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_01]: But this is the where they like to play.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_01]: And this is where they have pretty much held sway across the entire season.
- 49:57[SPEAKER_02]: And listen, Phil brought something up earlier when he's talking about his X factors.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_02]: And I
- 50:01[SPEAKER_02]: kind of scoff that it initially feels so I owe you an apology right i'm thinking will let's will let's is the x factor yeah well let's is what been special teams player the week two three times this year already for the Denver Broncos he's kicked collect field goals he's been just as part if not more of these fourth quarter comebacks is anybody else's bonyx shan the offensive line or the rest of the guys um
- 50:24[SPEAKER_02]: I'm also happy to see.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think the Broncos are satisfied.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_02]: They don't care about all pros.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_02]: They don't care about the probals coming up.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_02]: They don't care about the DMAFC West, divisional championship shirts, Sean Peyton hated.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_02]: They don't care about any of that stuff.
- 50:38[SPEAKER_02]: I think that it is truly
- 50:40[SPEAKER_02]: been a week by week thing for Denver and how hard can that be for a franchise that's truly buy into that.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_02]: I think that we've got to give credit where credit's due for now to Sean Payton.
- 50:52[SPEAKER_02]: He's been through it.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_02]: He's passed the litmus test.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_02]: It's been a little while and I know not everybody
- 50:56[SPEAKER_02]: Wanted Sean here.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_02]: I know not everybody wanted bow here.
- 51:00[SPEAKER_02]: I'll raise my hand there.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_02]: I had him as one of my what fourth best quarterbacks coming in opinions are subject to change, but I think Sean, this ownership group, this fan base, they know who they are.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_02]: They're unapologetic about it.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_02]: They don't have to fake anything.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_02]: There's no internal beef going on over there.
- 51:20[SPEAKER_02]: Nobody's demanding the ball.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_02]: You're not going to see Sean and Portland Sutton scream in at each other, like AJ Brown and Nick Seriani.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_02]: You're not going to have any of this off-the-field theatrics.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_02]: If anything, all the theatrics and all the drama.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_02]: It comes on the field.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_02]: And that's what has made this season so damn exciting for all of Broncos country.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_02]: It's why I can't wait to give our official prediction.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_02]: Tom's will drop.
- 51:45[SPEAKER_02]: Mine will drop.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_02]: Scott's drop.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody's drops tomorrow.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_02]: Myhoihello.com.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_02]: I will also take you through three keys to a divisional round victory.
- 51:55[SPEAKER_02]: over at milehighhuddle.com should be a lot of fun.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos Country where at our 10-minute warning you guys have been rocking and rolling all night.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_02]: This is the part of the show we like to open it up to you and yours.
- 52:07[SPEAKER_02]: Let us know how you're feeling, give us some predictions, give us some storylines.
- 52:12[SPEAKER_02]: I'm looking for those big fairy tale plays.
- 52:15[SPEAKER_02]: Tom and I mentioned it earlier.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_02]: Dermaries Thomas Tim Tibo, right?
- 52:18[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't have to be a walk off touchdown, but I'm looking for
- 52:23[SPEAKER_02]: that long ball that we have not seen all season time we haven't seen it wouldn't be great better late than never.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_02]: I don't care who catches it.
- 52:33[SPEAKER_02]: Marvin Mims, Pat Bryant, Cortland Sutton, take a shot on first down and let's see what happens, Sean.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's what I'm looking for connection on the deep ball and the defense finally getting those takeaways that have alluded them for somebody as many times as they have hit the quarterback this year.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_01]: I am really surprised at the low number of takeaways that they've gotten as you're hitting the quarterback that usually leads to intersections or fumbles and it really hasn't led to either of those many times this season.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_01]: So that's what I'm hoping for.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_01]: Like you said, deep ball to Marvin Mamm's really open that offense up and some, you know, some takeaways from the defense, finally when it is matters most in the playoffs.
- 53:21[SPEAKER_02]: Well, and listen, we're talking a lot about this past rush for good reason because they're expected to get after Josh Allen, but should Josh Allen decide to throw it?
- 53:29[SPEAKER_02]: What's he willing, he's a quarterback?
- 53:31[SPEAKER_02]: He's got to do it.
- 53:32[SPEAKER_02]: Good luck out there with Pat Cretan and Talino who Funga, Riley Moss, who's played exceptionally well.
- 53:39[SPEAKER_02]: The second half of the season time.
- 53:40[SPEAKER_02]: We gotta give him his credit, right?
- 53:42[SPEAKER_02]: I mean,
- 53:43[SPEAKER_02]: Vance Joseph probably just as instrumental Jim Leonard right in trying to get Riley here's where you need to recover.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_02]: Here's how you recover.
- 53:51[SPEAKER_02]: I think the refs have done somewhat of a better job in the postseason and letting these guys play.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_02]: I hate to see just the Tiki tack flags being thrown and there will be questionable calls and I don't know why Tom but every once in a while I'm having a bad day.
- 54:06[SPEAKER_02]: I'll think about Sean Peyton getting screwed with the Saints what like four or five years ago.
- 54:10[SPEAKER_02]: right by the rafs in shanby and depressed and well I ate ice cream and stayed in bed for a few days man a lot has changed since then I don't think shan's going to be sitting in bed eat nice cream on sunday licking his wounds think he's going to be trying to figure out a way to prepare for their next opponent and again I think it's all about attitude and I think it's about why and the Broncos know their why they are who they are I just hope Drake Greenlaw don't do anything stupid
- 54:37[SPEAKER_02]: Right, like I hope Drake Greenlaw is the dog that we know he is, but
- 54:41[SPEAKER_02]: I don't need Drake Greenlaw and Spencer Brown fistfighting at the pregame.
- 54:46[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 54:47[SPEAKER_02]: Like, we don't need any of these silly things.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_02]: I don't need threats to referees.
- 54:51[SPEAKER_02]: I don't need any of that sort of stuff.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_02]: Sean Payton has to dial his guys in.
- 54:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, there's a lot of youth when it comes to this Broncos offense.
- 54:59[SPEAKER_02]: But there's so much experience in the locker room across the board.
- 55:03[SPEAKER_02]: Whether you look in the trenches for both the offense and the defense, the secondary, the tight end room.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, there's a lot of leadership in this team, even if guys aren't wearing C on their chest.
- 55:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and the other thing too, I just hope it doesn't speak of the rest.
- 55:19[SPEAKER_01]: I hope it doesn't come down to the, I hope the refs don't decide the game is all I'm saying.
- 55:23[SPEAKER_01]: Like, let these guys play, call it a fair game, you know, call the degrees penalties, but don't be the reason why a team wins or loses.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_01]: That's, that's,
- 55:32[SPEAKER_01]: What I want to see in the playoffs is don't don't give me that terrible call that allows a team to to kick a cheap field goal when they wouldn't have otherwise that type of stuff to win the game So let's have a good game call the plays but call the penalties, but don't don't want to be up on the camera and you know flex your muscles or anything like that, please
- 55:52[SPEAKER_02]: Well, and we're already going to have a terrible call because Tony Romo's on it.
- 55:56[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry.
- 55:57[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not a Romo guy dude.
- 55:59[SPEAKER_02]: I don't have my guy.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_02]: Jim Nance is my guy.
- 56:02[SPEAKER_02]: Jim Nance.
- 56:03[SPEAKER_02]: Hello, friends.
- 56:03[SPEAKER_02]: Who doesn't love Jim Nance?
- 56:05[SPEAKER_02]: Right, Tracy Wilson.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_02]: I'm down with it.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_02]: But Tony, Romo, man, against the jacks.
- 56:10[SPEAKER_02]: It was painful.
- 56:11[SPEAKER_02]: So painful.
- 56:12[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, for Buffalo fans, for jacks fans.
- 56:14[SPEAKER_02]: And Tony, what?
- 56:15[SPEAKER_02]: This is like his
- 56:16[SPEAKER_02]: Sixth game I think he's called for the Broncos this year.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_02]: It'll be crazy man.
- 56:20[SPEAKER_02]: All eyes on Denver.
- 56:21[SPEAKER_02]: It's also cool too.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_02]: When you look at it, Tom is you know.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos are the very first playoff game of the weekend, man.
- 56:28[SPEAKER_02]: Like all odds are on them, and regardless of wherever you are in the country, right?
- 56:33[SPEAKER_02]: My father-in-law's telling me, man, I got to figure out a bar to drive to you to watch this Broncos game.
- 56:38[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, no, you don't.
- 56:39[SPEAKER_02]: They're a national TV big dog, this is good to go, this is Broncos conscious, Broncos time now.
- 56:44[SPEAKER_02]: So, it's exciting because the Broncos have all the pressure on them.
- 56:48[SPEAKER_02]: They're built for it, they're battle tested, they've passed a lot of regular season tests.
- 56:53[SPEAKER_02]: How does that compute to the postseason because there are two entirely different animals?
- 56:59[SPEAKER_02]: Just like Shannon's been an absolute animal with generosity and love tonight here on MHI as is the rest of Broncos country.
- 57:07[SPEAKER_02]: Holy cow, give me goosebumps, Shannon, calling it right now.
- 57:11[SPEAKER_02]: Marvin Mims runs back a kick or a touchdown.
- 57:16[SPEAKER_02]: Holy smokes.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_02]: The lid would come off of that stadium
- 57:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it would be that if that were to happen, especially early on, my gosh, like I said, the crowd is going to go nuts.
- 57:31[SPEAKER_01]: And I hope so.
- 57:32[SPEAKER_01]: Mitt Nimm's has been a great return man.
- 57:36[SPEAKER_01]: He hasn't found paid dirt enough.
- 57:39[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe it's this is saving his best for this time of the season.
- 57:45[SPEAKER_02]: Gary Lawson I see Gary up in here too saying man what about Troy Franklin what about our guy a little duck on duck connection here with bone X and Troy Franklin yeah, you know Oregon could use some love right now Gary It's a boat can get one in there and Troy can get one in there because man what happened to Oregon a couple weeks ago
- 58:04[SPEAKER_02]: Good Lord.
- 58:06[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely crazy.
- 58:07[SPEAKER_02]: Watch and speak it again.
- 58:09[SPEAKER_02]: Their ass is kicked, right?
- 58:10[SPEAKER_02]: I'm hoping Josh Allen gets beat down.
- 58:12[SPEAKER_02]: He's the toughest quarterback in my opinion in the NFL right now.
- 58:15[SPEAKER_02]: He's an animal, absolutely beast.
- 58:17[SPEAKER_02]: If I don't need to be jealous, right?
- 58:19[SPEAKER_02]: I don't need to be envious of Josh Allen anymore.
- 58:21[SPEAKER_02]: We got opponent Hicks.
- 58:22[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 58:23[SPEAKER_02]: And they're two different quarterbacks, but I'm standing by 10 either way.
- 58:27[SPEAKER_02]: It's just interesting when you look at it, Tom, because there's so many different storylines in this.
- 58:33[SPEAKER_02]: Matt Prater, welcome back to the Mile High City, baby.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's interesting to see Matt Prater's name coming back up, but that has been a long time.
- 58:44[SPEAKER_01]: He's been the league for a very, very long time.
- 58:47[SPEAKER_01]: So, hopefully, you know, the time has caught
- 58:53[SPEAKER_02]: Well, and there were for a little while, I was confused, right, because there's a Connor McGuvern on the Buffalo Bill Stein, like there's one of the most common names ever, like I feel like at one time there were three different Connor McGuvern floating around the NFL.
- 59:05[SPEAKER_02]: So I know that the Broncos connection at least with Matt Frater, it's going to be a lot of fun, man.
- 59:11[SPEAKER_02]: I can't wait to see everybody out there.
- 59:13[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos Country take pictures, take videos, send them to us, let us know how you're feeling.
- 59:19[SPEAKER_02]: If you can't get to the game, what are your pre-game rituals going to be, right?
- 59:22[SPEAKER_02]: Are you having, I know a lot of friends in mine right in front of Megan today at works.
- 59:25[SPEAKER_02]: Like I'm a host and family and friends and we're having a Broncos party.
- 59:30[SPEAKER_02]: I'm getting over the flu, so me and mine are going to be sitting on the couch, coughing and hacking and eating nachos, cheering on our Broncos squad.
- 59:36[SPEAKER_02]: Tom, how do you and yours get down watching this Broncos win against the bills on Saturday?
- 59:42[SPEAKER_01]: Well, probably pretty quietly just kind of sit back and taking it easy, you know, I, I used to get really, really rampantious and wild and as I've aged, I've kind of got more calm.
- 59:54[SPEAKER_01]: So just sit back and watch it unfold basically, take it easy.
- 59:59[SPEAKER_02]: No, Tom, you're not going to take it easy.
- 1:00:01[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to be yelling and screaming and pulling your hair out.
- 1:00:03[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to be losing your mind.
- 1:00:04[SPEAKER_02]: You and I are going to be texting each other.
- 1:00:06[SPEAKER_02]: And we do that, right?
- 1:00:07[SPEAKER_02]: Like, Tom, you've sent me some pretty upsetting texts where you're like, man, I'm so pissed off about this game and I've done it too, right?
- 1:00:14[SPEAKER_02]: Or we're rubbing it in like, hey, man, are you still out on Sean Payton?
- 1:00:17[SPEAKER_02]: these sort of things.
- 1:00:18[SPEAKER_02]: It's fun, man.
- 1:00:19[SPEAKER_02]: It's football.
- 1:00:20[SPEAKER_02]: Take care of yourselves, too, guys.
- 1:00:22[SPEAKER_02]: It's nasty out there in this crazy world.
- 1:00:24[SPEAKER_02]: Be safe if you're going to the game.
- 1:00:26[SPEAKER_02]: Be safe if you're having a broco's party.
- 1:00:28[SPEAKER_02]: Take care of each other.
- 1:00:29[SPEAKER_02]: Remember, this is something that we love.
- 1:00:32[SPEAKER_02]: It's professional sports, but it is also important to always make it home to your family.
- 1:00:37[SPEAKER_02]: Guys, we are at the one hour marks.
- 1:00:39[SPEAKER_02]: We are up against it.
- 1:00:41[SPEAKER_02]: I appreciate everybody's generosity.
- 1:00:44[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for being patient.
- 1:00:46[SPEAKER_02]: couple weeks there Tom.
- 1:00:48[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for holding down the fort Scott.
