- 0:00Speaker 1: Hello, Hello, Welcome to the podcast. Hello, Donald Faison.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Hi, Zachary brav Hello is Joel Monique.
- 0:08Speaker 1: We don't have Danel today, so when we say cut
- 0:10Speaker 1: that Daniel to each other, Daniel will just hear it
- 0:13Speaker 1: on the recording because he's not here today. Where is he, Joel?
- 0:15Speaker 3: He's with his family do in a little reunion sexy.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Yeah, So listen, you've heard Donald and I talk about
- 0:24Speaker 1: Cody Rigsby from Peloton so much. We really like him
- 0:28Speaker 1: a lot. I've found him very entertaining and funny and motivational.
- 0:34Speaker 1: I want to mention this is not an ad for Peloton.
- 0:36Speaker 1: I don't even think there are are sponsors currently. But
- 0:40Speaker 1: this is solely because I thought that Cody's a really
- 0:44Speaker 1: interesting guy. He found a way to get me motivated
- 0:47Speaker 1: to work out in a different way, and I thought
- 0:49Speaker 1: that maybe he has some insights. We thought that he
- 0:52Speaker 1: surely has some insights for people that want to get
- 0:54Speaker 1: in shape and also just you know, achieving your goals,
- 0:58Speaker 1: because this guy was where kean of McDonald's one day.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Now he's one of the most successful trainers in the world.
- 1:03Speaker 1: So right, Donald, we want to have Monk.
- 1:05Speaker 2: I'm excited. I'm excited to talk about COVID and you
- 1:09Speaker 2: know how he saved a lot of people's lives by
- 1:13Speaker 2: putting them on a bike and motivating them. And you know,
- 1:17Speaker 2: he was probably the most popular person at that time.
- 1:20Speaker 2: So I'm really interested in hearing what he has to
- 1:23Speaker 2: say about his rise. And you know, I want to
- 1:25Speaker 2: talk about Dancing with the Stars and Amanda Coloots as well.
- 1:28Speaker 1: And I bet he's also gonna not mind sexual innuendo
- 1:32Speaker 1: since he really enjoys that in Urendo in your endo,
- 1:37Speaker 1: all right, Joelle, invite him in Cody rigsby everybody.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Five six, seven, eight, stories about sure we made about
- 1:45Speaker 2: a bunch of dogs and nurses.
- 1:49Speaker 4: Said, he's a story natural. So Ganda here, Gader here.
- 1:59Speaker 2: Stuff ladies and gentlemen.
- 2:06Speaker 5: Cody rigsban, wow, well an introduction, all that vibrato just
- 2:19Speaker 5: for me.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Yow, oh for you.
- 2:24Speaker 1: You're even more handsome, not on my peloton screen, you
- 2:27Speaker 1: are even hotter on the zoom call.
- 2:30Speaker 3: Oh my god, thank you so much. That's very hot
- 2:35Speaker 3: and hide me up straight man. And earlier we love you.
- 2:39Speaker 3: Earlier you said you were busting loads.
- 2:41Speaker 1: So you know, like, no, I didn't say that you'd
- 2:44Speaker 1: like no I didn't say that, so the audience has context.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Cody came on for a sound check and I said, Joelle,
- 2:50Speaker 1: take him off because I don't want to start chatting
- 2:52Speaker 1: with him and bust all my loads before recordings.
- 2:56Speaker 2: That was the first innindo. Yes, and he hadn't even
- 3:00Speaker 2: out of recording yet.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Welcome to the show. We love you. I don't know, Donald,
- 3:04Speaker 1: and I never knew if you were clocking how much
- 3:08Speaker 1: we were talking about you, especially during the lockdown, because
- 3:11Speaker 1: you were getting us through.
- 3:13Speaker 3: Bro. You say, I've the grape fine many times, and
- 3:18Speaker 3: then I've I've peeped in a few times, you know
- 3:21Speaker 3: a few times before. So I'm uh honored to be.
- 3:26Speaker 2: We're honored to have you, man.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Okay, you really you really helped us both during lockdown.
- 3:31Speaker 1: We both got bikes, but both got Pelton bikes, and
- 3:34Speaker 1: we were talking about getting into it, and you know, I,
- 3:37Speaker 1: of course, as a straight man, was like, Okay, I'm
- 3:39Speaker 1: just gonna find the cutest chick. She'll motivate me, I'll
- 3:42Speaker 1: want oh honest, no, I mean that's what my brain
- 3:45Speaker 1: was thinking. And then I found this very handsome, very
- 3:48Speaker 1: flamboyant came in and I never looked back.
- 3:52Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, I found that the I found that
- 3:56Speaker 2: the women I just was staring at the butt and
- 3:59Speaker 2: now necessarily staring at the numbers.
- 4:02Speaker 3: Right, okay, and so much done right? And then.
- 4:07Speaker 2: I found you. And I don't know how it was
- 4:09Speaker 2: I found you. I just said, I know. My wife
- 4:11Speaker 2: was the one that said you should try Cody, and
- 4:14Speaker 2: I was like what she was like, try Cody, And
- 4:16Speaker 2: I put you on and I laughed for the whole ride.
- 4:21Speaker 2: You made me laugh so hard at a time when
- 4:23Speaker 2: I had just been crying, when I was, you know,
- 4:25Speaker 2: so worried about what my family was going to happen
- 4:28Speaker 2: with my family, when you know, when when life just
- 4:31Speaker 2: seemed so flipped, when life just seemed like it was
- 4:36Speaker 2: it was bysmal, you know what I mean. We were
- 4:37Speaker 2: all so scared and didn't know what to do, and
- 4:40Speaker 2: then here you come and you made me laugh at
- 4:43Speaker 2: a time when I didn't think I could laugh. And uh,
- 4:46Speaker 2: you know, one of your rides, I cried my eyes
- 4:49Speaker 2: out because of all of the joy you brought me
- 4:51Speaker 2: and all of the release that I got from the
- 4:54Speaker 2: endorphins from the ride and the motivation and how I
- 4:57Speaker 2: could keep going in that time and so you know,
- 5:01Speaker 2: I really for real, man, like you really you saved
- 5:03Speaker 2: my life. Man, at a time when I didn't think
- 5:05Speaker 2: there was a bright spot when COVID, all of the
- 5:09Speaker 2: news out there was just so dark, you know, Black
- 5:12Speaker 2: Lives Matter, all of these things were going down, and
- 5:15Speaker 2: there you were, and I just I just want to say,
- 5:17Speaker 2: I want to give you flowers. Man, I appreciate it.
- 5:19Speaker 3: Thank you. That's very kind, That's very very sweet. And
- 5:23Speaker 3: I love I love when I hear stories like that,
- 5:26Speaker 3: because it really, you know, you get lost in this
- 5:30Speaker 3: auce of working and trying to build everything up and
- 5:33Speaker 3: just staying busy, and then you forget, like the the
- 5:36Speaker 3: purpose that's attached to the work that you do and
- 5:39Speaker 3: the lives that you affect in like whatever you do,
- 5:41Speaker 3: but specifically, you know, fitness, and especially during the during COVID,
- 5:46Speaker 3: I forget almost just how that was one of the
- 5:50Speaker 3: only like safe spaces or places of distraction that a
- 5:53Speaker 3: lot of people had. Was like Okay, I'm doing I'm
- 5:55Speaker 3: gonna work out for thirty minutes. I'm gonna forget there's
- 5:57Speaker 3: a pandemic happened. I'm just gonna like be stupid and
- 6:00Speaker 3: silly and have fun and it's always great to hear
- 6:04Speaker 3: the impact, and so thanks for sharing that.
- 6:06Speaker 1: I think for Donald and I, you know, you know,
- 6:09Speaker 1: for the audience who doesn't know and doesn't use Peloton.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Cody does a workout that's hard and challenging and you
- 6:18Speaker 1: sweat your your ass off, but he's really funny. And
- 6:21Speaker 1: I never worked out with anyone like that, and I
- 6:23Speaker 1: wanted to know. I wanted to ask you how you
- 6:26Speaker 1: came about finding that. I mean, obviously you're a funny person,
- 6:29Speaker 1: but I never worked out with a trainer of any kind,
- 6:32Speaker 1: and any either a video class or in real life
- 6:35Speaker 1: who was making you crack up the whole time. And
- 6:38Speaker 1: I thought like, wow, what a what a what an
- 6:39Speaker 1: out of the box way to work out? And I
- 6:42Speaker 1: just wondered how you came about finding that and what
- 6:44Speaker 1: that when you how did you find your stride like that?
- 6:46Speaker 1: Like how did it all come about? Like how did
- 6:48Speaker 1: you join Peloton? And then and then how did you
- 6:50Speaker 1: discover your your sense of humor in doing the class?
- 6:55Speaker 3: Well, like any gay child that's had trauma, you know,
- 6:59Speaker 3: I over compensate with humor and wit, So that's part
- 7:03Speaker 3: of it, no, you know, I I reflected on this
- 7:08Speaker 3: in my book, and I was talking about like how
- 7:11Speaker 3: did I kind of get to this place. You know,
- 7:13Speaker 3: I've been at Pelton just today. I think they sent
- 7:16Speaker 3: me an email with today is my like nine year anniversary.
- 7:19Speaker 3: So I've been at Pelton for nine years.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Thundrous applause Daniel, Ye thunders.
- 7:24Speaker 3: Didn't start sound there will? We will, so thank you.
- 7:29Speaker 3: So it's been a long journey and it's been a
- 7:32Speaker 3: lot of like ups and downs and trying different things.
- 7:35Speaker 3: And I think when I first came in it listened.
- 7:37Speaker 3: I had never taught a cycling class and there was
- 7:38Speaker 3: a fitness class. Before I started at Pelton, I was
- 7:40Speaker 3: a dancer. I was an entertainer. I kind of like
- 7:42Speaker 3: knew how to be on camera. And so when I
- 7:45Speaker 3: first started, I kind of was trying to copy the
- 7:47Speaker 3: people that was around me, like Robin Robin Arson and
- 7:50Speaker 3: Jess King and just like trying to like be like them.
- 7:52Speaker 3: And that wasn't sticky. That was like not successful for me.
- 7:56Speaker 3: And it wasn't until I kind of like researched my
- 8:00Speaker 3: class kind of like watched it, saw what was going on,
- 8:05Speaker 3: and then gave myself permission to be myself and like
- 8:09Speaker 3: I'm always the person in my friend group that's like
- 8:11Speaker 3: talking all the time, or making jokes or just like
- 8:14Speaker 3: being being a dumb ass. And so I think once
- 8:17Speaker 3: I gave myself permission to do that, I think a
- 8:19Speaker 3: lot of people responded to that and really found it
- 8:22Speaker 3: different than most people in the fitness space. And I
- 8:25Speaker 3: think that's really what I've been able to have the
- 8:29Speaker 3: privilege to do is kind of make fitness not so
- 8:33Speaker 3: scary by being a dumb ass, being a clown, and
- 8:37Speaker 3: allowing myself to be like self deprecating humor so that
- 8:42Speaker 3: people feel more invited to a somewhat scary space. Does
- 8:47Speaker 3: that make sense?
- 8:47Speaker 1: Yeah, Yeah, that's a good way to put it. Because
- 8:50Speaker 1: people dread working out usually not everyone, Yeah, a lot
- 8:53Speaker 1: of people dread working people. But when I think about
- 8:56Speaker 1: taking your class, I know that I'm gonna I'm gonna laugh.
- 8:59Speaker 1: I know there's going to be humor involved, and it's
- 9:01Speaker 1: more likely to to make me want to do it,
- 9:04Speaker 1: which I think is genius. I don't think anyone's ever
- 9:06Speaker 1: done that before, and that I know.
- 9:08Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, I was wondering if, at at any
- 9:11Speaker 2: point in the last three years, were people like just
- 9:15Speaker 2: wanting to buy you dinner when you walked out into
- 9:18Speaker 2: restaurants and stuff like that.
- 9:22Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean sometimes. I mean like even I was
- 9:24Speaker 3: on I was on Fire Island a few weeks ago,
- 9:26Speaker 3: and the line for the bar, for the bar, did.
- 9:30Speaker 1: You break Fire Island? Did you Bland?
- 9:33Speaker 3: Always?
- 9:35Speaker 1: You know they say break the Internet? Did you break
- 9:37Speaker 1: Fire Island?
- 9:38Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, she's well known on the island. It's
- 9:42Speaker 3: all good. But I remember the line for the bar
- 9:44Speaker 3: being so long, and this fierce little lesbian who was
- 9:49Speaker 3: a fan, was like, do you want to drink? So
- 9:51Speaker 3: like it saved me a little bit of time and
- 9:53Speaker 3: I got a free drink. But you know, I always
- 9:55Speaker 3: it feels weird to accept that sort of stuff, But
- 9:58Speaker 3: in that moment, I was like, you know what, Yes,
- 9:59Speaker 3: I'll take you it are you no? Me and I
- 10:04Speaker 3: have my boyfriend Andreas, who have been with for five years.
- 10:07Speaker 3: We took a little hiatus for six months, but now
- 10:10Speaker 3: we're back together.
- 10:11Speaker 1: So I just imagine it's an adjustment for you since
- 10:14Speaker 1: you know, you've become very famous and known pretty quickly,
- 10:18Speaker 1: and it must be a bit of a an adjustment
- 10:23Speaker 1: for sure.
- 10:24Speaker 3: I mean, not like maybe not so in the like
- 10:27Speaker 3: romance or hook up department. But because let's be honest,
- 10:31Speaker 3: like my my demo is mostly like women of a
- 10:35Speaker 3: certain age, and you out.
- 10:43Speaker 1: That he's like Duald, I love that is like my
- 10:45Speaker 1: demo is mostly women of a certain age and YouTube.
- 10:51Speaker 3: No, listen, listen, listen. I'm always surprised. There's like a
- 10:55Speaker 3: hashtag on the bike it says straight dudes for Cody,
- 10:57Speaker 3: And I'm always very surprised when like the straight guys
- 11:01Speaker 3: show up and they like are into what I'm putting down.
- 11:04Speaker 3: I'm like, you know, I love to see it like
- 11:08Speaker 3: we're not. So we're not. We don't fit into these
- 11:10Speaker 3: boxes that we that we think we used to fit in,
- 11:14Speaker 3: you know, like.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely, Now how did you You just said you
- 11:17Speaker 1: were a dancer and and I read you you worked
- 11:21Speaker 1: at the Box in Manhattan?
- 11:22Speaker 3: I did, Yes, Donald, you been there.
- 11:24Speaker 2: I've not been to one of Manhattan. I've been to
- 11:26Speaker 2: the one in London.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, anyway, for those who don't know, it's a
- 11:29Speaker 1: it's like a kind of a burlesque crazy club where
- 11:33Speaker 1: there's performances. Cody, what did you do there? You dance there?
- 11:36Speaker 3: No? So this wasn't like a very transitional part of
- 11:41Speaker 3: my life is like I had been dancing professionally, like
- 11:44Speaker 3: a commercial dancer, back up Frednicky Minaj, Katie Perry, such
- 11:48Speaker 3: and such videos all that, and I got some point
- 11:50Speaker 3: where it was like, Okay, like this isn't paying the bills,
- 11:52Speaker 3: but I don't know what's next. So I really kind
- 11:54Speaker 3: of went out in to the world in New York.
- 11:57Speaker 3: I came back from lah I was in LA for
- 11:59Speaker 3: the summer, came back and I was like, I'm just
- 12:01Speaker 3: gonna work my ass off and do what I need
- 12:03Speaker 3: to do to make money. So I was like cater waitering,
- 12:05Speaker 3: going to the gym, working at the box, doing some
- 12:09Speaker 3: side gigs. And so I was at the Box and
- 12:12Speaker 3: I worked in front of the house and it was
- 12:14Speaker 3: kind of a ship job. So as you know, there's
- 12:17Speaker 3: a very risk show where there's lots of crazy things
- 12:21Speaker 3: going on and topless girls, and so my job was
- 12:25Speaker 3: to stop everyone from taking pictures on their phone even
- 12:29Speaker 3: at those job.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Yeah. So and then people are drunk at that time
- 12:36Speaker 1: and night.
- 12:37Speaker 3: They're drunk, they're annoying. So that's what I did at
- 12:39Speaker 3: the Box. But fortunately the choreographer slash director.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Cock blocker, Yeah, a professional talk blocker.
- 12:51Speaker 3: Cocker. I can't remember what it was called. Oh god,
- 12:55Speaker 3: it was so long ago. But yeah, the director knew
- 12:59Speaker 3: I was a dance sir, and so he had a
- 13:01Speaker 3: connection to Pelton. I was like, hey, this might be
- 13:03Speaker 3: a good fit for you, and I literally was just like, yeah,
- 13:05Speaker 3: here's another side gig I can do to make some
- 13:07Speaker 3: some coin that's not cater watering. And then here we are,
- 13:11Speaker 3: nine years later, right place, right time.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Wow, did you how did you? I mean, spinning on
- 13:17Speaker 1: the level that you do it is not easy and
- 13:20Speaker 1: I and I wonder how you especially talking the whole
- 13:22Speaker 1: time like you do. How did that transitioning from dancing on.
- 13:28Speaker 2: This is the question that everyone wants to know. What
- 13:33Speaker 2: what's that resistance on broy.
- 13:39Speaker 3: Mine is like very similar to what I call out, Yeah,
- 13:42Speaker 3: because in a honesty, I can't. I can't fake it.
- 13:45Speaker 3: I can't fake it if I'm doing it like I
- 13:47Speaker 3: need to do it and have a level of resistance that's.
- 13:50Speaker 1: You have to talk the whole time. I was wondering,
- 13:52Speaker 1: I know, but like.
- 13:52Speaker 3: Babe, I can. I can sit here and talk about
- 13:54Speaker 3: nothing for hours, So that's not the problem. And I've
- 13:57Speaker 3: been doing it for nine years so my condition to
- 14:00Speaker 3: it is is easy at this point. It's like, in
- 14:03Speaker 3: all honesty, like a thirty minute second class is like
- 14:06Speaker 3: nothing to me at this point. I'd just be honest
- 14:08Speaker 3: not to flex or sound like.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Yeah, if you do it for nine years, you'd expect that.
- 14:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:12Speaker 1: No, wait a second. My question was before Donald said
- 14:15Speaker 1: that when you first transitioned to doing it, were you
- 14:18Speaker 1: was it? Do you find it hard or did all
- 14:20Speaker 1: your dancing cardio help you pick it up quickly?
- 14:24Speaker 3: I think physically it wasn't like the I don't think
- 14:28Speaker 3: physically it was the hardest thing to transition from dance
- 14:31Speaker 3: to that. I think I had the endurance and like
- 14:33Speaker 3: I worked out pretty regularly, So it wasn't that that
- 14:35Speaker 3: that wasn't the hard part. It was more so I
- 14:38Speaker 3: always I've always said this before, I always feel like
- 14:40Speaker 3: Tom Cruise in the Minority Report when he's got that
- 14:42Speaker 3: big ass screen open and like you're doing, he's like
- 14:45Speaker 3: doing a million things at once. Like that's how teaching
- 14:47Speaker 3: a peloton class is. Because you've got we had the
- 14:50Speaker 3: studio audience, you've got the cameras, you've got the programming.
- 14:54Speaker 3: You got to cue the music like you're doing all
- 14:57Speaker 3: these things all at once to like simultaneously it together.
- 15:01Speaker 3: So I definitely like fumbled and stumbled my way through
- 15:04Speaker 3: the beginning, and even like the first community class that
- 15:09Speaker 3: I did probably like a year ago, I mean nine
- 15:12Speaker 3: years ago, I failed at because I was just like
- 15:15Speaker 3: a hot mess, and so I had to go back
- 15:17Speaker 3: to the drawing board and do it again. And then
- 15:18Speaker 3: I was finally like an official instructor. So I think
- 15:21Speaker 3: that was the hardest part, was just like balancing all
- 15:23Speaker 3: the damn things you got going on. And then once
- 15:25Speaker 3: I figured that out, then I was like, Okay, how
- 15:27Speaker 3: do I make this funny and stupid and fun You know, I.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Have so many questions. My next one is are you
- 15:33Speaker 1: fully in charge of the music you play? Or does
- 15:36Speaker 1: anyone wagh in on what music you pick?
- 15:39Speaker 3: No, I'm full, fully in charge. I feel like I
- 15:42Speaker 3: could never relinquish control of that because it's it's such
- 15:46Speaker 3: an integral part of like the vibe and the energy
- 15:49Speaker 3: and the brand and all that sort of stuff, So
- 15:51Speaker 3: it would be really hard. I think there's like unless
- 15:53Speaker 3: it's like a theme ride or I don't know if
- 15:56Speaker 3: I should say this, but like we just had Barbie
- 15:58Speaker 3: rides and I the move for the movie, and I
- 16:03Speaker 3: are they like, well, I think that's like those were
- 16:05Speaker 3: like official, those were official rides. And I think I'm
- 16:09Speaker 3: glad that he didn't accept it when I did, because
- 16:12Speaker 3: I am a SAG member and I think if I
- 16:13Speaker 3: did the ride that would be technically like promoted, it
- 16:15Speaker 3: would have promoting the movie. I'm glad I declined it anyways,
- 16:19Speaker 3: But I was like, how am I gonna The soundtrack
- 16:22Speaker 3: doesn't hit for thirty minutes or twenty minutes for me,
- 16:24Speaker 3: so I don't think I would have fun teaching that class.
- 16:27Speaker 3: Like there's like I listened to this. I looked at
- 16:29Speaker 3: the soundtrack and I'm like, Okay, there's like three or
- 16:31Speaker 3: four like solid tracks here, but like, I don't know
- 16:33Speaker 3: if I could do a twenty minute, thirty minute ride
- 16:35Speaker 3: to this, because like, I don't know, it's just not
- 16:36Speaker 3: hitting for me specifically, right.
- 16:39Speaker 2: So flash forward Dancing with the Stars, Nickoll, was it
- 16:46Speaker 2: a no brainer or were you like, you know, I'm
- 16:49Speaker 2: enjoying where I'm at right now, or were you like,
- 16:52Speaker 2: you know, let's let's show the world who Cody is.
- 16:54Speaker 3: Neither of you have done that right, no yet, but.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Our friend you did it with our friend Amanda.
- 16:59Speaker 3: Clutes, lovely Amandiclutes, who's a phenomenal dancer. It was kind
- 17:04Speaker 3: of like, uh, I was like, Wow, this is a
- 17:06Speaker 3: great opportunity. I'm like honored and like excited that they
- 17:10Speaker 3: would even think of me to do it. So that
- 17:12Speaker 3: was that I think going into it, I was like
- 17:14Speaker 3: a little bit cockier or confident than I was once
- 17:18Speaker 3: I like landed in the space. Dancing with the stars
- 17:21Speaker 3: for me was like one of the most like one
- 17:24Speaker 3: of the hardest things I've ever done mentally, physically and emotionally.
- 17:29Speaker 3: I'm so glad that I did it. I would never
- 17:31Speaker 3: do it again. Like if you put a million dollars
- 17:32Speaker 3: in front of me, I think I would be like sorry, sorry,
- 17:34Speaker 3: says I'm good, Like I'm not, I'm not goods.
- 17:36Speaker 1: Just wait to go into detail on that. Like because
- 17:40Speaker 1: of the amount of how you have to pick up
- 17:43Speaker 1: choreography so quickly, Is that was that? Why?
- 17:45Speaker 3: Yeah? I think it's just like a lot of it,
- 17:47Speaker 3: Like you're learning, Like I was a dancer, Like I danced,
- 17:51Speaker 3: but like the ballroom dance is so technical and so
- 17:55Speaker 3: different than a five six seven eight in a music video.
- 17:57Speaker 3: So I think that's where I got a little bit cocky.
- 17:59Speaker 3: And then once I like landed, I was like, oh shit,
- 18:01Speaker 3: this is harder than I thought it was gonna be.
- 18:02Speaker 3: That's one thing. Reality TV is so produced, and even
- 18:08Speaker 3: no matter how good you do or how bad you
- 18:11Speaker 3: do or whatever, there's so many different elements that go
- 18:13Speaker 3: into like the scoring or the feedback that they give you.
- 18:17Speaker 3: And for me, it was hard to separate like my
- 18:20Speaker 3: own validation or my own worth from the idea and
- 18:23Speaker 3: the fact that there it was a produced television show,
- 18:26Speaker 3: like you know, like it's hard to not take what
- 18:29Speaker 3: they're saying or the scores, so like personally, yeah, and
- 18:33Speaker 3: that was hard for me, like emotionally. And then like
- 18:38Speaker 3: from fucking like Labor Day to Thanksgiving, I had zero
- 18:42Speaker 3: days off. And that's not just like me like hyping
- 18:44Speaker 3: up like work culture or like you know, because you
- 18:49Speaker 3: also had to keep doing peloton. Yeah. So but even
- 18:52Speaker 3: I feel like even if I wasn't doing peloton, there
- 18:53Speaker 3: wouldn't have been days off because you're rehearsing every day
- 18:56Speaker 3: physically like non stop. So it just was it just
- 18:59Speaker 3: was lot to take on. And yeah, and just like
- 19:03Speaker 3: I don't know, people are nasty and rude and oh yeah,
- 19:05Speaker 3: you see, like, no matter how hard.
- 19:07Speaker 1: I tried, did you go down the rabbit hole of
- 19:08Speaker 1: reading your haters and ship?
- 19:10Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 19:11Speaker 3: I mean, like as much as I try not to,
- 19:13Speaker 3: it's like, you know, i'd go on Twitter and look
- 19:15Speaker 3: at look at stuff, and you'd see the nasty things
- 19:17Speaker 3: that people would say or dog on you, and I
- 19:19Speaker 3: don't know I should as much as I try not
- 19:22Speaker 3: to do that, Like I'm only human and I'm curious,
- 19:24Speaker 3: and unfortunately I got caught in those crossfires before.
- 19:26Speaker 2: So that's the fucked up thing. They know you look,
- 19:29Speaker 2: you look, That's why they write that ship exactly ship,
- 19:33Speaker 2: so fuck you.
- 19:35Speaker 3: Yeah. But on the other hand, it was like super challenging.
- 19:39Speaker 3: I grew so much. I you know, it forded me
- 19:43Speaker 3: a lot of opportunities during and after, and it's like
- 19:46Speaker 3: such a such a special part of like my story.
- 19:50Speaker 3: So I'm glad that I did it, but it was
- 19:52Speaker 3: also like one of the most challenging and difficult things
- 19:54Speaker 3: that I ever did.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Yeah, it's funny. I was thinking about you and Amanda
- 19:57Speaker 1: because you know, sometimes they give people who are quote
- 20:00Speaker 1: unquote dancers shit for going on the show because you're
- 20:02Speaker 1: like you're how is this how is this a challenge?
- 20:06Speaker 1: And Amanda, who was a roquette, which is closer to
- 20:09Speaker 1: ballroom dancing than you, who were you know, whatever kind
- 20:12Speaker 1: of dancer you call it, music video hip hop, I'm
- 20:14Speaker 1: not sure what you'd say it is. But she was like,
- 20:16Speaker 1: this is really really fucking hard. She's like, I was
- 20:19Speaker 1: a roquette, but this is not I was not a
- 20:21Speaker 1: ballroom dancer. And she really found it very very hard.
- 20:26Speaker 3: And she and like, listen, she had like I mean,
- 20:28Speaker 3: she had great scores, and she was much more technical
- 20:31Speaker 3: than I am. And yeah, I mean there was a
- 20:34Speaker 3: point where we were bush exhausted and it was just
- 20:37Speaker 3: so much.
- 20:38Speaker 1: And the whole world is weighing in on you. I
- 20:39Speaker 1: mean everyone who watches it. I mean, that'd be so hard,
- 20:42Speaker 1: because it's one thing to just get trolled or shot
- 20:44Speaker 1: on just for being alive and being a public figure.
- 20:48Speaker 1: But you're going on a show that's a competition where
- 20:50Speaker 1: you are judged, so you're saying, like, judge me, motherfuckers,
- 20:54Speaker 1: and people are very happy, to.
- 20:57Speaker 3: Happy, very happy.
- 21:00Speaker 2: Let's take a break.
- 21:01Speaker 1: We'll be right back after these fine words. Another thing
- 21:11Speaker 1: I wanted to ask you was what's it like in
- 21:14Speaker 1: the culture of Pelton, because I imagine you're the one
- 21:17Speaker 1: of the most I know that you're one of the
- 21:18Speaker 1: most famous people that are doing it. Is there is
- 21:23Speaker 1: it ever uncomfortable with your peers because you've kind of
- 21:26Speaker 1: broken out as as the face or one of the
- 21:29Speaker 1: stars of the company.
- 21:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I was gonna I was gonna just to piggyback
- 21:33Speaker 2: on that you are one of the faces. There are
- 21:36Speaker 2: several faces of Peloton, but you are. And then there's
- 21:39Speaker 2: people that you know, do y'all ever run into each
- 21:42Speaker 2: other because it doesn't seem like you're in the same studio.
- 21:44Speaker 2: Some people are in different areas.
- 21:47Speaker 1: No, they're all in New York.
- 21:48Speaker 3: I think, well, well that's sort of true. Okay, So
- 21:52Speaker 3: just I'll go the first question. So there's a New
- 21:55Speaker 3: York studio and that's probably where like, let's say thirty
- 21:59Speaker 3: five to four of the instructors are I don't know
- 22:01Speaker 3: their math is. And then there's a UK studio which
- 22:04Speaker 3: has our English team and the German team, so that's
- 22:07Speaker 3: probably another ten to fifteen people. So that's a total
- 22:10Speaker 3: I think of fifty or so instructors at this point.
- 22:12Speaker 3: So the vast majorities in New York City. In New
- 22:16Speaker 3: York City, there's four studios, So you've got the yoga studio,
- 22:20Speaker 3: the Strength Studio, the tread Studio, and the cycling Studio.
- 22:24Speaker 3: We all we depending on your schedule, Like I see
- 22:28Speaker 3: about the same on a regular basis, Let's say ten instructors.
- 22:32Speaker 3: I guess like I see the same ten instructors, and
- 22:35Speaker 3: then you know, there's like events that we have that
- 22:39Speaker 3: we all kind of like cross paths and see each other.
- 22:41Speaker 3: And then we just had probably at the beginning of summer,
- 22:44Speaker 3: our instructor Summit where like all of the instructors from
- 22:46Speaker 3: all across the globe came together and we had a
- 22:49Speaker 3: very lovely, like two or three intense but fun days.
- 22:53Speaker 3: And as far as my colleagues and like compare each
- 23:00Speaker 3: other's success or whatever, I think that's kind of what
- 23:02Speaker 3: we're getting out a little bit. Fortunately, everyone has been
- 23:08Speaker 3: cast to kind of like be in their own lane
- 23:10Speaker 3: and also share their story and appeal to different groups
- 23:16Speaker 3: of people. So you know, I try to think in
- 23:18Speaker 3: this like abundance mindset that there are enough seats at
- 23:21Speaker 3: the table and there's enough opportunities within Peloton and outside
- 23:24Speaker 3: of Peloton for all of us to like thrive and
- 23:28Speaker 3: have our thing going, because, like I said at the beginning,
- 23:32Speaker 3: when I was trying to copy Robin ars on and
- 23:34Speaker 3: like be her, I'm not an ultra marathon on her.
- 23:37Speaker 3: I'm not a vegan, I'm not a mom. I'm not
- 23:40Speaker 3: like all these things that she is that she can
- 23:41Speaker 3: speak to on the peloton platform and off and get
- 23:44Speaker 3: all these opportunities. So I think that's the beauty of it, is,
- 23:46Speaker 3: like there are enough seats at the table and there's
- 23:49Speaker 3: a lot to do, and it's I don't think it's
- 23:51Speaker 3: ever I don't think it's ever like awkward or there's
- 23:54Speaker 3: any sort of like weird jealousy. I think that we're
- 23:58Speaker 3: all kind of rooting for each other the best set
- 24:00Speaker 3: we can. And I think it would be silly to
- 24:03Speaker 3: think that some of the opportunities that other people have
- 24:07Speaker 3: I should have because I'm gonna get what comes what
- 24:09Speaker 3: comes to me. I guess I.
- 24:11Speaker 1: Know, but that I even said, Cody, I've been watching
- 24:13Speaker 1: a lot of Below Deck med and I just want
- 24:17Speaker 1: to know. I just want to know if there's ever
- 24:21Speaker 1: any friction or if you all get hammered and like
- 24:26Speaker 1: people say shit, like I picture the no, I picture
- 24:29Speaker 1: the Peloton locker room like below deck med and I
- 24:32Speaker 1: need to know if that's true.
- 24:34Speaker 3: No, you know what, the only thing like, I A,
- 24:37Speaker 3: we're not a drink We're not a lot of drinkers.
- 24:39Speaker 3: I know. It's so annoying, like we don't drink a lot,
- 24:40Speaker 3: so nobody's getting wasted and doing stupid shit. And in honesty,
- 24:45Speaker 3: like the heat. The most heated drama I think is
- 24:49Speaker 3: like the green room. And I will, like I get
- 24:53Speaker 3: very upset with some of the girls because they go
- 24:56Speaker 3: into these green rooms and they leave like there make up,
- 25:00Speaker 3: their hair, they're clothes all in there, and they forget
- 25:04Speaker 3: that like, hey, I need to go in there too.
- 25:06Speaker 3: So it's like literally like it's like literal brothers and
- 25:09Speaker 3: sisters fighting over who gets to use the bathroom that
- 25:12Speaker 3: is the tea. I'm sorry, I know you want more.
- 25:14Speaker 2: I know you wanted more.
- 25:15Speaker 3: I know you want me like spilling drinks, like throwing
- 25:18Speaker 3: a drink on tune day and me slapping Alex to
- 25:21Speaker 3: song and me calling, you know, Kendall a bitch to
- 25:26Speaker 3: her face like it's just not happening.
- 25:28Speaker 1: And then Captain Sandy comes in and it's.
- 25:30Speaker 3: Like and then and then they're like, hey, hey, hey, hey,
- 25:35Speaker 3: we didn't get that on camera. Can we do it
- 25:37Speaker 3: all again? And do that all again?
- 25:40Speaker 1: Please?
- 25:41Speaker 3: So unfortunately I don't have any hot tea for you.
- 25:44Speaker 2: Hey, is that your real wallpaper behind you? Or are
- 25:47Speaker 2: you in a hotel right now?
- 25:48Speaker 3: It is my This is the is the guest room.
- 25:51Speaker 3: I'm actually I have a friend staying with me from
- 25:53Speaker 3: Brazil and he's this is an air mattress that I'm
- 25:55Speaker 3: sitting on and this is the guest room. Yeah.
- 25:58Speaker 2: I like your wallpaper. It's very It's Gucci.
- 26:01Speaker 1: Is it occy wallpaper? Treating you well?
- 26:07Speaker 3: Actually you know what? I got it for free because
- 26:10Speaker 3: someone had it left over.
- 26:11Speaker 1: So I was like, you found some Gucci wallpaper.
- 26:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:15Speaker 1: I was listening to you the other day and you
- 26:17Speaker 1: were and you were doing you were you were spinning
- 26:21Speaker 1: to that song to the left, to the left, and
- 26:24Speaker 1: then and you and you said something that made me
- 26:26Speaker 1: laugh so hard. You go, uh, she goes, I could
- 26:29Speaker 1: have another you in a minute. But what's the lyric?
- 26:32Speaker 1: I forgot? Matter of fact, he'll be here, That was
- 26:36Speaker 1: the lyric.
- 26:37Speaker 3: He'll be here in a minute.
- 26:39Speaker 1: You go, I can't have a man here in a minute.
- 26:41Speaker 1: It's called Grinder, and then you go, I was laughing
- 26:44Speaker 1: so hard, you go, I might have to lower my standards,
- 26:47Speaker 1: but he'd be here in a minute, exactly.
- 26:55Speaker 3: Listen, all of us have have phones, access to quick
- 27:02Speaker 3: and easy hookups if we want it. But I don't
- 27:05Speaker 3: know if you've ever been on some of these apps.
- 27:08Speaker 1: But men more than other dude, I mean sorry, gay
- 27:10Speaker 1: men more than more than straight men, because.
- 27:13Speaker 3: We're wrees, we're sluts, we're okay.
- 27:15Speaker 1: Donald and I are not Donald and I are not
- 27:16Speaker 1: on Grinder yet. But it seems to me like you're
- 27:19Speaker 1: not really exaggerating, like a man could be there in
- 27:22Speaker 1: like three minutes.
- 27:23Speaker 3: Literally. It might. It might be a certain caliber of
- 27:27Speaker 3: a certain man. But you know, like if I'm trying
- 27:31Speaker 3: to get my dick wet and I don't have high
- 27:33Speaker 3: standards and we can make it happen pretty.
- 27:35Speaker 1: Quickly a gay man, we might have to cut this,
- 27:38Speaker 1: Joelle Jewel, Okay, Joell, you'll tell me if we need
- 27:42Speaker 1: to cut this.
- 27:42Speaker 3: Because they because you'll get canceled or I will No.
- 27:45Speaker 1: You're not going to cancel it. Just this might be
- 27:47Speaker 1: too risque even for our show. But a gay friend
- 27:50Speaker 1: of mine told me that that certain gay men will
- 27:54Speaker 1: post on grinder. I will be receiving loads between these hours.
- 28:00Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that's so, that's what we call them the
- 28:03Speaker 3: community a pump and dump?
- 28:06Speaker 1: Really, what's a pump and dump?
- 28:10Speaker 6: So?
- 28:11Speaker 1: Uh, this show just got good good.
- 28:16Speaker 2: We just turned.
- 28:18Speaker 1: My god, what's a pumping? Because Donald and I are unfamiliar.
- 28:24Speaker 3: I have never partaken in this. No judgment, no judgment,
- 28:27Speaker 3: no judge. I don't try to judge anybody's sexual desires
- 28:31Speaker 3: nor what they're We've learned.
- 28:33Speaker 2: We've learned a lot from Joel. She's told us this
- 28:36Speaker 2: is all life is life.
- 28:39Speaker 3: Joel's going to pumping ups.
- 28:41Speaker 1: Okay, so no, Joel doesn't pumping up. I don't think
- 28:45Speaker 1: you're pumping dump. No judgment.
- 28:46Speaker 2: If you do no judgments over here, will you explain.
- 28:49Speaker 1: To our audience that is not familiar? What is?
- 28:52Speaker 3: This is so nasty just saying it like it's also
- 28:56Speaker 3: like when you describe these sort of things, this is
- 28:59Speaker 3: this is that's why they're trying to take away our rights.
- 29:02Speaker 3: This is why we couldn't get married for so damn
- 29:04Speaker 3: long because we're out here.
- 29:06Speaker 1: Actually, so's say a.
- 29:11Speaker 3: Particular person wants to be the receipt. I'm try put
- 29:14Speaker 3: these in straight terms. Wants to be the receiver. So
- 29:17Speaker 3: the bottom and they will maybe in fact, they will
- 29:20Speaker 3: rent a hotel room or they will be giving strangers
- 29:24Speaker 3: on the internet their address. So then said strangers will
- 29:28Speaker 3: show up to said hotel room or home and just
- 29:32Speaker 3: the bottom will be there ready to receive any trade
- 29:37Speaker 3: of sex. And as you said before loads, So therefore
- 29:42Speaker 3: that is the pump and dump. So from like one
- 29:44Speaker 3: to three, I'm going to be at this hotel and
- 29:46Speaker 3: you come in, you drop your drawers, you have sex
- 29:49Speaker 3: with me, and you leave.
- 29:50Speaker 1: But wait, the same friend told me that sometimes the
- 29:55Speaker 1: man the recipient, you know, like the hash deck. I
- 30:00Speaker 1: have to teach this to all, but that they will
- 30:01Speaker 1: post market. Let me let me tell you, no, no, no,
- 30:04Speaker 1: let me tell them, and then you tell me if
- 30:06Speaker 1: I'm wrong, Donald, I don't know if I told you this ship.
- 30:08Speaker 1: My friend told me that they on the one guy
- 30:10Speaker 1: had on his butt cheek the like you know, the
- 30:13Speaker 1: four and then you do the hash across. He had
- 30:16Speaker 1: with the loads. He had asked the men to create
- 30:19Speaker 1: lines and then a hash through for the through the
- 30:22Speaker 1: fifth load.
- 30:23Speaker 6: I'm horrified, who are you talking to.
- 30:27Speaker 3: That you were talking about. Listen, you're not You're not wrong.
- 30:31Speaker 1: My friend wasn't participating. He was telling me as a
- 30:34Speaker 1: straight man. You probably don't know this is a thing
- 30:36Speaker 1: on Grinder, But this is a thing on Grinder.
- 30:37Speaker 3: It is it is?
- 30:39Speaker 2: Are there things like this on other dating sites?
- 30:41Speaker 1: Is this is Donald wants to know if this is
- 30:43Speaker 1: available on Tinder?
- 30:45Speaker 2: I'm man, so I don't get to You're just doing research.
- 30:49Speaker 2: I would like to do some research. Is this like everywhere?
- 30:52Speaker 2: Is this? How is this? How is this what dating
- 30:55Speaker 2: sites are? Now?
- 30:56Speaker 1: I think this is I think this is a particularly
- 30:59Speaker 1: this is not as much of a hetero thing as far.
- 31:03Speaker 3: It's just that the gays are like really unhinged and
- 31:06Speaker 3: just like we are out here in these streets doing
- 31:09Speaker 3: whatever we want. So you know, there's a little bit more.
- 31:12Speaker 3: I don't even want to call it promiscuity because that's
- 31:14Speaker 3: not what it is. It's just you know, sexual liberation
- 31:17Speaker 3: and freedom. So like, you know, that's what some people
- 31:20Speaker 3: are into, and more power to them as long as
- 31:24Speaker 3: it's consensual. Adults, like you know, live your life. That's
- 31:27Speaker 3: in a mind damn business. But yeah, all of all
- 31:30Speaker 3: of what you're saying is true. And I would say,
- 31:32Speaker 3: if you live in a major metropolitan city, I don't
- 31:36Speaker 3: I don't think it would be hard for you to
- 31:38Speaker 3: find said activity.
- 31:40Speaker 1: Donald, Do you ever want to say announce that you're
- 31:43Speaker 1: open to receive loads.
- 31:46Speaker 2: I mean, first of all, I don't mind saying I'm
- 31:49Speaker 2: open to receive loads my wife. My wife will be like, yo, dude,
- 31:53Speaker 2: all these people at the house right, what the fuck
- 31:56Speaker 2: is called.
- 31:57Speaker 1: The doorbell rings? In case, he's like, babe, is it
- 32:00Speaker 1: the door? Oh that's my first load. I'ney just send
- 32:05Speaker 1: them upstairs, send them to the closet.
- 32:10Speaker 2: Oh lord, let's tack a break.
- 32:12Speaker 1: We'll be right back after these fine words. All right,
- 32:22Speaker 1: we'll get back on track.
- 32:23Speaker 3: Here.
- 32:24Speaker 1: Your favorite artist that you did you talk about the most,
- 32:27Speaker 1: it seems to me, is Brittany. Is that true? Of course, Yes,
- 32:31Speaker 1: she's your favorite?
- 32:33Speaker 3: Yeah, uh yeah, I mean I've I think I'm just like,
- 32:36Speaker 3: there's such a nostalgic attachment that I have to her.
- 32:40Speaker 3: She she provided such amazing songs, performances looks throughout the
- 32:47Speaker 3: height of my like adolescence. And if I would say
- 32:50Speaker 3: the height of like pop culture, like, you can't you
- 32:52Speaker 3: can't get better than that? Like the early two thousands
- 32:56Speaker 3: of pop culture. T R like, yeah, I just have
- 32:59Speaker 3: so many memories and you know music.
- 33:02Speaker 2: I remember watching Brittany and being like, damn, she's so young.
- 33:06Speaker 2: And then when she when Justin and her were dating
- 33:09Speaker 2: and freaking, she became like and she came out with
- 33:12Speaker 2: the snake and did I'm a slave for you. I remember,
- 33:16Speaker 2: and Jamie Fox looked at Justin Timberlake on television and said,
- 33:20Speaker 2: she bad. I remember. I just remember the you know,
- 33:25Speaker 2: the little that happens when you know.
- 33:28Speaker 1: You see somebody got a peep shift.
- 33:31Speaker 2: I had a peep shift.
- 33:32Speaker 3: You know. She went from sort of innocent girl to like, okay,
- 33:36Speaker 3: like hot sex symbol.
- 33:38Speaker 2: You know, well yeah, because you know you can say
- 33:40Speaker 2: what you want about Oops, I did it again and
- 33:43Speaker 2: hit me baby one more time. But that was like
- 33:45Speaker 2: posing kind of. But when she hit that shit, that
- 33:48Speaker 2: was when it was like I'm doing oh yeah, right exactly.
- 33:53Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, I think that we have a lot
- 33:55Speaker 3: in common.
- 33:56Speaker 2: Cody.
- 33:56Speaker 1: I'm just saying, did you see her live ever a? Cody?
- 33:59Speaker 3: Yeah, I see. I saw the Britney Spears. I saw
- 34:03Speaker 3: her first tour and then I saw I don't think
- 34:07Speaker 3: I saw anything after that until the Circus Tour, which
- 34:11Speaker 3: I saw twice, the Femptale tour, and then the Vegas show.
- 34:16Speaker 1: M So what about Beyonce? You also are a huge
- 34:21Speaker 1: Beyonce thing.
- 34:23Speaker 3: Guys, if you have not, if you're not purchased tickets
- 34:28Speaker 3: to go see the Renaissance Sance World Tour, you are
- 34:32Speaker 3: missing out on a once in a lifetime thing to see.
- 34:36Speaker 1: Look at Joelle's face right now.
- 34:38Speaker 3: I saw and I was so blown away that I
- 34:42Speaker 3: had to see it again. And I saw this Saturday
- 34:45Speaker 3: at MetLife and it's just like it is just like
- 34:50Speaker 3: a singular thing to be alive in this time where
- 34:54Speaker 3: like you get to see a woman that has made
- 34:57Speaker 3: a twenty five year career an entire like an immense
- 35:01Speaker 3: catalog of songs, and also just like the impact that
- 35:04Speaker 3: she's had on like pop culture, and turn that into
- 35:07Speaker 3: a two hour show that is immaculately designed, immaculately designed.
- 35:13Speaker 3: It is like, I don't even want to compare it
- 35:15Speaker 3: to seeing Michael Jackson, but it's the only thing that
- 35:17Speaker 3: I could compare it to. Like you, just if you
- 35:20Speaker 3: don't go see this, you're missing out on like a
- 35:22Speaker 3: once in a lifetime.
- 35:23Speaker 1: Opportunity, Joelle, what are your thoughts? They see you having
- 35:25Speaker 1: a spiritual moment.
- 35:26Speaker 4: Oh my god.
- 35:26Speaker 6: Okay, So seeing her on her birthday in LA and
- 35:29Speaker 6: I'm dying Like Cody, I think twice is going at least.
- 35:34Speaker 6: So I'm looking at New Orleans, which is where she's
- 35:36Speaker 6: doing her last stop. Every time I see video, it's
- 35:39Speaker 6: just a little bit better than the last show. The
- 35:41Speaker 6: way she just continues to improve through.
- 35:43Speaker 2: Oh my god.
- 35:45Speaker 6: So I've never like had Beyonce money before. So this
- 35:48Speaker 6: is my first Beyonce show. So I'm a little bit.
- 35:53Speaker 1: I'm happy for you that you've got Beyonce ticket money. Now,
- 35:56Speaker 1: I love that for you me too.
- 35:58Speaker 6: I took a week off from where second mentally and
- 36:00Speaker 6: spiritually prepair my little person coming.
- 36:04Speaker 2: It's gonna be amazing.
- 36:05Speaker 1: We did our live show. We made you miss somebody
- 36:07Speaker 1: else who did we make you miss by accident?
- 36:08Speaker 6: Megan the Stallion and Mariah Carey. They were doing Pride
- 36:11Speaker 6: in l A.
- 36:12Speaker 3: Oh they pulled you away from that.
- 36:15Speaker 6: Yes, it was a sacrifice. It it's gonna He'll come
- 36:18Speaker 6: back to me.
- 36:19Speaker 3: I think, did you see it?
- 36:21Speaker 1: Did y'all see Cardi? Did you see Cardi? B through
- 36:24Speaker 1: the mic at someone's head.
- 36:26Speaker 3: That was amazing, rightfully, so would throw at your face?
- 36:32Speaker 2: You know, she don't know.
- 36:32Speaker 3: You don't know.
- 36:33Speaker 2: She don't even know if that was water or not
- 36:35Speaker 2: too though. Man, she just got some ship thrown on her. Man,
- 36:37Speaker 2: that could have been seen, That could have been anything.
- 36:40Speaker 3: Man, did you see Carti's hair? You don't throw water
- 36:42Speaker 3: hair the music going up?
- 36:45Speaker 6: Like, I don't know, I would throw anything at Cardi.
- 36:49Speaker 6: Her aim is perfect.
- 36:50Speaker 2: Who knows? She doesn't miss? Okay, she hit?
- 36:52Speaker 1: Did she hit her?
- 36:53Speaker 6: She hit the person, pulled back, made eye contact and
- 36:59Speaker 6: launched like Cardi b is a fighter.
- 37:01Speaker 3: It's a dumb move. I can't understand why you would
- 37:03Speaker 3: do it all.
- 37:04Speaker 1: Right now, explain to me. I know the track didn't
- 37:08Speaker 1: it wasn't affected at all, and I understand that she
- 37:11Speaker 1: may have been speaking over it or wrapping over it.
- 37:14Speaker 1: But do people care? Nobody cares.
- 37:16Speaker 2: Nobody cares.
- 37:17Speaker 3: That's not what she was not singing live.
- 37:20Speaker 1: Yeah, you're gonna tell me. Nobody cares. Nobody cares. Donald
- 37:25Speaker 1: and I have a date to see Taylor Swift this week.
- 37:28Speaker 1: We're very excited you got the tickets.
- 37:30Speaker 3: We did not talk about you guys.
- 37:31Speaker 2: Taylor Swift. Yet somebody's not somebody's clowning. Somebody's clowning.
- 37:38Speaker 3: I don't know if you want to open this campt.
- 37:40Speaker 2: No, No, I want to do it. I want to
- 37:43Speaker 2: do it.
- 37:43Speaker 3: It's not a good thing. I get in trouble.
- 37:46Speaker 1: No, Cody, I don't want you to talk negatively about Swift.
- 37:48Speaker 1: I really like her.
- 37:49Speaker 3: Okay, and Donald, I'm so happy that she brings you joy.
- 37:54Speaker 3: I'm so happy, dying to talk shit. No, see this show,
- 38:01Speaker 3: and I am just I can't wait for you to
- 38:03Speaker 3: feel the joy that you want to feel.
- 38:05Speaker 1: Oh my god, you such got it. Donald, you are
- 38:09Speaker 1: my dates, so you better be open to receiving.
- 38:12Speaker 3: It's just you two.
- 38:13Speaker 2: Yeah gay, Yeah, it's a little gay, maybe a little gay.
- 38:20Speaker 6: But Disneyland where they're like holding hands and skipping through Disneyland, that's.
- 38:27Speaker 7: No.
- 38:27Speaker 1: We must I must give a shout out. We got
- 38:29Speaker 1: and we could not get tickets, and we have a
- 38:32Speaker 1: friend at who invited us to the cost Egos box.
- 38:38Speaker 1: That's how we managed to get in because we couldn't
- 38:41Speaker 1: get tickets, like everybody can't get tickets.
- 38:44Speaker 3: So I mean, I mean even for the second show.
- 38:48Speaker 3: I don't even want to tell you how much I
- 38:49Speaker 3: paid for the Beyonce tickets and the second show I
- 38:52Speaker 3: paid I paid. I paid stub Hub money for floor.
- 38:56Speaker 1: Seats, and that's like, you know, what did you pay?
- 39:00Speaker 3: I stand by this statement. I still didn't even pay enough.
- 39:04Speaker 3: I still didn't pay enough.
- 39:06Speaker 2: You know, essent, we like this when we were kids.
- 39:09Speaker 2: I saw Michael Jackson when I was a kid, I
- 39:11Speaker 2: saw new Addition Bell, Bib Devaux, I saw all of
- 39:15Speaker 2: these freaking I went to a lot of big concerts
- 39:17Speaker 2: when I was a kid, and I sat really close
- 39:20Speaker 2: in these stadiums and was able to see everything. I
- 39:23Speaker 2: was never on the floor. But you know, I can't
- 39:26Speaker 2: imagine spending ten grand, fifteen grand on tickets. Okay, thank god?
- 39:33Speaker 2: All right? Cool.
- 39:35Speaker 1: Oh when you said floor seed stub Hub money, I
- 39:37Speaker 1: thought you were talking about ten thousand dollars.
- 39:39Speaker 3: I mean, listen, they were they were floor seats. They
- 39:42Speaker 3: weren't the closest floor seats. I was probably at at
- 39:46Speaker 3: my closest proximity to Beyonce, maybe twenty feet. So that's good,
- 39:50Speaker 3: that's amazing twenty feet. But yeah, I'm not spending There's
- 39:54Speaker 3: no there's there's there's there is a limit there's a limit.
- 39:57Speaker 3: And that's actually in all honestly why I went in
- 40:00Speaker 3: Europe for the first time because the seats in Paris
- 40:03Speaker 3: were like a few hundred bucks and they were on
- 40:04Speaker 3: the floor at General Like by the time you pay
- 40:07Speaker 3: for the flight and the ticket, you could get that
- 40:10Speaker 3: in the US. So you get a trip to Paris
- 40:12Speaker 3: and a Beyonce concert.
- 40:15Speaker 2: Let's take a break.
- 40:16Speaker 1: We'll be right back after these fine words. Listen, before
- 40:26Speaker 1: we wrap up, I wanted to ask, we want to
- 40:28Speaker 1: promote your book, by the way, let's give a shout out.
- 40:30Speaker 3: Yes, let's plug.
- 40:32Speaker 1: Your book is XO XO Cody, An opinionated homosexuals Guide
- 40:37Speaker 1: to self, love, relationships, and tactful pettiness.
- 40:41Speaker 3: Oh thank god, you got it right. I know you're
- 40:43Speaker 3: but fans, no, I remember it. I'm actually I'm always
- 40:46Speaker 3: like nervous when I'm gonna that's a long ass that
- 40:48Speaker 3: I don't fuck up the title. I'm just like, don't
- 40:50Speaker 3: FuG it up, don't FuG it out.
- 40:51Speaker 1: Tell us a little bit about it. Shamelessly plug yourself,
- 40:54Speaker 1: but tell us a little bit about what the gist
- 40:57Speaker 1: of the vibe is.
- 40:59Speaker 3: Yeah, I think, well, I'm excited that it comes out
- 41:02Speaker 3: comes out September twelfth, so pre order if you can.
- 41:06Speaker 3: It is a memoir slash kind of like life and
- 41:10Speaker 3: dating advice. If you are familiar with my class at Pelton,
- 41:14Speaker 3: we do x X Cody, which is like a fun
- 41:17Speaker 3: class where writers send in questions to me about self love,
- 41:21Speaker 3: relationships and we talk about pop culture and that. So
- 41:24Speaker 3: I kind of took that idea from the ride and
- 41:26Speaker 3: made it into a book. And it's like mostly just
- 41:30Speaker 3: about like, you know, self love, even in the in
- 41:32Speaker 3: the realm of dating, like loving yourself before you put
- 41:34Speaker 3: yourself out there, you know, like asking for more money,
- 41:39Speaker 3: loving yourself, dating yourself. You know, just like what it
- 41:42Speaker 3: means to just really like take all the things that
- 41:45Speaker 3: I've learned in life and apply it to being the
- 41:48Speaker 3: best version of yourself.
- 41:51Speaker 1: And you really did You've come such a long way.
- 41:53Speaker 1: I mean, you did work at McDonald's, didn't you not?
- 41:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, and that's that's part of the storytelling
- 41:59Speaker 3: there is like I feel like I've told these like
- 42:01Speaker 3: really condensed versions of some of the really impactful things
- 42:04Speaker 3: in my life. So it's been a privilege to kind
- 42:06Speaker 3: of like give it in more detail. Yeah, it's it's
- 42:10Speaker 3: crazy like I grew up. Listen, I grew up single parent,
- 42:13Speaker 3: only child, broke as fuck in in North Carolina, like
- 42:18Speaker 3: food stamp poor, getting evicted, poor, like all this sort
- 42:21Speaker 3: of stuff. So I sometimes look back in my life
- 42:24Speaker 3: and I'm just like, how how the fuck did I?
- 42:26Speaker 3: How did I get here? How did I get here?
- 42:28Speaker 3: In front of the Gucci.
- 42:28Speaker 1: Wallpaper, the book title could have been from McDonald's to
- 42:34Speaker 1: Gucci Wallpaper, no doubt, we go, Why is the shake
- 42:39Speaker 1: machine always broken?
- 42:41Speaker 2: What's going on?
- 42:42Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 42:43Speaker 3: Let's get to the real honesty. I think it's because,
- 42:48Speaker 3: you know, if you're a McDonald's employee and it's the
- 42:50Speaker 3: end of the night, like I'm trying to clean that
- 42:53Speaker 3: fucking machine before I get off my ship, and if
- 42:56Speaker 3: I'm trying to get out early, you know, if broken's
- 43:00Speaker 3: it at ten and we don't shut down the ice
- 43:03Speaker 3: cream machine until nine forty five, I'm not trying to
- 43:06Speaker 3: stick around from fifteen to twenty extra minutes because this
- 43:09Speaker 3: bitch wants an oreo mcflir say that the fucking machine
- 43:15Speaker 3: is broken, and guess what, I'm good, I'm gonna pull
- 43:19Speaker 3: up to the drive through them, say one Orio mcflurry
- 43:21Speaker 3: and the person that went knows to be like, I'm sorry, sir,
- 43:24Speaker 3: the machine is broken, and I'm gonna get pissed off
- 43:26Speaker 3: and I'm gonna drive off. I'm good. So the employee
- 43:28Speaker 3: is winning, you know, right right?
- 43:31Speaker 2: I heard that there's quite a few McDonald's workers right
- 43:35Speaker 2: now that are like, thank you, Cody.
- 43:39Speaker 1: So what Cody's just told us everyone is that the
- 43:41Speaker 1: machine is never actually broken.
- 43:43Speaker 2: It's just that.
- 43:43Speaker 1: Look, they don't want to deal with that shit.
- 43:45Speaker 2: Motherfucker's got lives, yo.
- 43:47Speaker 1: They want to get home.
- 43:49Speaker 3: I don't know if you've ever worked a shift job
- 43:51Speaker 3: such as McDonald's. You want to get out as soon
- 43:54Speaker 3: as you fucking can. You want to cuck out.
- 43:56Speaker 1: You don't want your you.
- 43:57Speaker 3: Don't want your manager asking, hey, you know Tom's a
- 44:00Speaker 3: little bit late, can you stay thirty bits? No, bitch,
- 44:02Speaker 3: that's not my problem, that's not my probe. You're you're
- 44:06Speaker 3: paying me eight fifty an hour. I don't care about Tom.
- 44:09Speaker 3: I want to go home and play Xbox. Okay, thank you?
- 44:13Speaker 1: Right?
- 44:14Speaker 2: What that knows?
- 44:17Speaker 1: Well, you're very very funny man, and we're very last
- 44:20Speaker 1: thing I want to ask you for our audience. So
- 44:22Speaker 1: many of our audience don't have a Peloton, Can you
- 44:26Speaker 1: just maybe give some a little bit of wisdom as
- 44:29Speaker 1: to motivating yourself to to actually exercise. Exercise for me
- 44:33Speaker 1: has been life changing for more than even more my
- 44:36Speaker 1: physical health and for my mental health. It really has
- 44:39Speaker 1: become a part of keeping myself feeling better about myself.
- 44:43Speaker 1: And I wondered if, as a as a famous trainer,
- 44:45Speaker 1: if you have any words of wisdom for motivating people
- 44:47Speaker 1: to take action and do a little something.
- 44:51Speaker 3: Yeah. I think that's well. First of all, I'm going
- 44:53Speaker 3: to debunk that the Peloton app is free for like
- 44:56Speaker 3: the first month, and there's a free version of the app,
- 44:59Speaker 3: so you can jump into that. That being said, as
- 45:02Speaker 3: far as motivation, and yeah, I think that a relationship
- 45:08Speaker 3: with your body and movement is really good for your
- 45:13Speaker 3: overall being, not just looking a certain way, but like
- 45:16Speaker 3: your mental health and believing that you can do hard things.
- 45:19Speaker 3: I know it sounds really silly, but when you like
- 45:22Speaker 3: conquer a twenty minute bike ride and you're like, Wow,
- 45:25Speaker 3: I didn't want to do that, but I did it
- 45:26Speaker 3: and I feel great, it is a reminder that, like
- 45:29Speaker 3: when you get set a challenge at work or or
- 45:32Speaker 3: pushback in life that you're like, Hey, I things might
- 45:36Speaker 3: be scary or they might be hard, but if I
- 45:38Speaker 3: put my mind to it, I absolutely can accomplish it.
- 45:41Speaker 3: And I think it's a constant reminder of that. And
- 45:45Speaker 3: also I think being uncomfortable and being put in uncomfortable
- 45:50Speaker 3: situations is good for us, you know, I think when
- 45:53Speaker 3: we run away from feeling. I think when we feel uncomfortable,
- 45:58Speaker 3: or we feel sad, or we feel angry, or we
- 46:01Speaker 3: feel you know, unmotivated, we can really sit in that.
- 46:05Speaker 3: We can either sit in that and figure it out,
- 46:08Speaker 3: or we can go distract ourselves and get away from
- 46:10Speaker 3: it quickly. And I think sitting in those uncomfortable situations
- 46:13Speaker 3: is really good for us physically, mentally, emotionally, and moving
- 46:17Speaker 3: our bodies and working out is a practice of that
- 46:22Speaker 3: in itself.
- 46:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:24Speaker 1: I feel that. Man. Sometimes I'm just down, I'm not
- 46:26Speaker 1: in a good headspace, and I spend for thirty minutes
- 46:30Speaker 1: and I get off the bike and I feel great.
- 46:33Speaker 3: Yeah, and then you like and then you're like, you've
- 46:35Speaker 3: been motivated to do other shit that you didn't want
- 46:37Speaker 3: to do.
- 46:37Speaker 1: Yeah. Absolutely, Well, thank you so much for your time, dude.
- 46:41Speaker 1: We really are big fans of yours and you make
- 46:44Speaker 1: us laugh and keep doing what you do because you're
- 46:47Speaker 1: making a big difference in a lot of people's lives.
- 46:50Speaker 3: Thank you. I appreciate it. And thank you for having
- 46:52Speaker 3: me on.
- 46:53Speaker 2: Thank you for being on.
- 46:54Speaker 1: Yeah, that was so awesome.
- 46:56Speaker 2: Wait can we just before we wrap up? Do one
- 47:01Speaker 2: of my fucking heroes passed away? And I just wanted
- 47:03Speaker 2: to give a shout out to like, yo man and
- 47:10Speaker 2: I and and and it's gonna make and I don't
- 47:12Speaker 2: want to get emotional about it, and because that's the
- 47:14Speaker 2: last thing I want to do in front of you guys,
- 47:16Speaker 2: but if you could just I mean, I just remember
- 47:20Speaker 2: junior high school, my buddy Adam Smart, shout out Adam
- 47:25Speaker 2: Smart and uh Libra whose dad was on Pee Wee's playhouse,
- 47:31Speaker 2: telling me, Yo, you gotta watch this guy and me
- 47:34Speaker 2: being like yeah, whatever, and Adam Smart for for one
- 47:38Speaker 2: of the talent shows him and this guy did the
- 47:41Speaker 2: entire scene of Pee Wee coming out of his house
- 47:44Speaker 2: with the bike and the guy wanting to ride on
- 47:48Speaker 2: the bike and him saying him saying uh no, and
- 47:52Speaker 2: then I know you are but what am I? And
- 47:54Speaker 2: everything from Big Adventure from Pee Wee's Big Adventure, and
- 47:58Speaker 2: I you know, that stuck with me and my freshman
- 48:03Speaker 2: year in high school, I finally watched the movie and
- 48:06Speaker 2: I couldn't believe it took me so long to find
- 48:09Speaker 2: this guy because it was me in a lot of ways.
- 48:12Speaker 2: It was like this guy who was just a little
- 48:15Speaker 2: bit immature but was witty and smart, had and had
- 48:21Speaker 2: a great sense of humor. And you know when they
- 48:25Speaker 2: say be careful when you meet your idols, when I
- 48:28Speaker 2: met him, he was. He was very mean to me,
- 48:33Speaker 2: and he went out of his way the next time
- 48:37Speaker 2: I met him and every time after to apologize and
- 48:41Speaker 2: tell me that he was in a He was a
- 48:43Speaker 2: he was in a bad space that day. And I
- 48:47Speaker 2: got to work with him like two or three times
- 48:49Speaker 2: after that. Just meeting him and that we met you
- 48:52Speaker 2: were with me. It was me you and Sarah and
- 48:55Speaker 2: I think we were on our way to New York.
- 48:57Speaker 1: And emotional, man.
- 48:59Speaker 2: Was Paul Rubers. Man, you made a really big impact
- 49:02Speaker 2: on my life.
- 49:03Speaker 1: You really getting emotional.
- 49:04Speaker 2: Yeah, and you are a legend and you will be missed.
- 49:11Speaker 1: Oh Donald, that's very sweet. I loved him too.
- 49:14Speaker 3: Man.
- 49:14Speaker 1: I grew up watching Pee Wee's Playhouse, and then when
- 49:17Speaker 1: I saw the movie, I just thought he was so
- 49:20Speaker 1: uniquely funny and original and there was nobody like him,
- 49:24Speaker 1: like nobody was doing what he was doing. And then
- 49:26Speaker 1: that combined with Tim Burton's direction, you know, pee Wee's
- 49:30Speaker 1: Big Adventure was just like we had never seen anything
- 49:33Speaker 1: like it. It was just so different. It was so different,
- 49:35Speaker 1: the combo of Tim Burton's style with pee Wee's humor.
- 49:39Speaker 1: And Paul was a wonderful person by the way. I
- 49:41Speaker 1: met him a few times, like Donald, and every day
- 49:45Speaker 1: on my birthday he would send me like funny gifts,
- 49:49Speaker 1: birthday gifts, little memes and stuff, and they were all
- 49:54Speaker 1: just sweet sort of they weren't. They were just like
- 49:56Speaker 1: sweet little birthday messages. And that's the kind of he was.
- 50:00Speaker 1: He was. Everybody loved him. Everybody in town that knew
- 50:04Speaker 1: him loved him.
- 50:06Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, I just couldn't put You know, usually
- 50:09Speaker 2: when somebody, when somebody brushes you off, that's usually it
- 50:13Speaker 2: and you never really hear from them, you never really hear.
- 50:17Speaker 2: But he went, I mean just to I don't know, man,
- 50:20Speaker 2: Like he remembered me, he remembered where we were when
- 50:24Speaker 2: it happened. He remembered what he was going through and
- 50:28Speaker 2: he apologized. It just made me feel so good, you
- 50:31Speaker 2: know what I mean.
- 50:32Speaker 1: I remember saving up for cherry. Remember they I had
- 50:35Speaker 1: a peep First of all, I had the pewee doll
- 50:37Speaker 1: that you pulled the string and it would says yeah.
- 50:41Speaker 1: And then after a while I used it someone the
- 50:43Speaker 1: soundbox broke so it would be really sped up and
- 50:45Speaker 1: you couldn't understand shit. But then I had the cherry
- 50:48Speaker 1: for those you know the show was his talking green chair,
- 50:52Speaker 1: and I remember saving up as a kid to go
- 50:54Speaker 1: to the Livingstone Mall to buy cherry so I could
- 50:58Speaker 1: put my peewee doll in the cherry chair. Anyway, So
- 51:04Speaker 1: rest in peace to Paul who who was a wonderful
- 51:07Speaker 1: performer and a very nice person. And thank you to
- 51:10Speaker 1: Cody for providing lots of laughter. And that's it. This
- 51:16Speaker 1: segment on Fake Doctor's Real Friends is brought to you
- 51:19Speaker 1: by T Mobile. If you need great coverage, especially when
- 51:22Speaker 1: enjoying your favorite podcast, check out T Mobile. Okay, and
- 51:26Speaker 1: now we Joelle has a pitch from one of our
- 51:29Speaker 1: listeners for a film that we should make. Okay, let's
- 51:32Speaker 1: go Joel.
- 51:33Speaker 7: Hello, Donald and Zach, Joel and Danel.
- 51:36Speaker 3: My name is Will.
- 51:37Speaker 7: I live in London in the UK, though I'm originally
- 51:39Speaker 7: from Edinburgh in Scotland, and today I am pitching a
- 51:42Speaker 7: comedy series with you, Donald and Zack playing fictionalized versions
- 51:46Speaker 7: of yourselves as you finally take fake doctors, real friends
- 51:49Speaker 7: on the road and tour the podcast series around Europe.
- 51:52Speaker 7: It would be totally similar to Curby Your Enthusiasm or
- 51:55Speaker 7: The Trip if you're familiar with that British comedy starring
- 51:58Speaker 7: Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon. Of course, you find success
- 52:02Speaker 7: with the podcast tour. It's everything you guys dreamed it
- 52:04Speaker 7: would be, but touring and selling out spectacular venues such
- 52:08Speaker 7: as the O two Arena in London, the Coliseum in
- 52:11Speaker 7: Rome and a Wee Boffy in the Highlands. Well, it
- 52:14Speaker 7: takes its toll on your multi layered, loving, sometimes flowed
- 52:18Speaker 7: relationship in the series and of your bromance Never Questioned
- 52:23Speaker 7: develops as well as during the podcast. You both have
- 52:29Speaker 7: your own side hustles going on. Donald played by Donald Faison,
- 52:32Speaker 7: is desperate to get onto one of the Star Wars
- 52:34Speaker 7: or Marvel series that's filmed here in the UK. In
- 52:37Speaker 7: one scene, Donald literally begs on his knees for a
- 52:40Speaker 7: role outside the gates of Pinewood Studios, while Zach, played
- 52:43Speaker 7: by Zach Brath, lands himself his dream role and does
- 52:46Speaker 7: a one of performance playing Jean Valjean in the West
- 52:49Speaker 7: End production of Lay Miss.
- 52:51Speaker 1: I don't think I'd get it.
- 52:52Speaker 7: However, on the night, Zach gets so excited and he's
- 52:55Speaker 7: so overcome with emotion that he starts singing everyone else's
- 52:58Speaker 7: parts over them. So as the tour comes to an end,
- 53:01Speaker 7: our heroes ask themselves whether it was really at success.
- 53:05Speaker 7: They both lost out on their dream roles and more importantly,
- 53:09Speaker 7: their most valued relationship with each other along the way
- 53:13Speaker 7: to be continued. I actually sent this pitch to you
- 53:17Speaker 7: guys way back in summer twenty twenty when I first
- 53:19Speaker 7: emailed over some questions, so it's been flowing around my
- 53:22Speaker 7: head for a few years now. I just want to
- 53:25Speaker 7: add that I work as a script editor in TV
- 53:27Speaker 7: drama Developments, So if you want, I could come on
- 53:30Speaker 7: board to storyboard and script episodes for free. I might
- 53:35Speaker 7: be available.
- 53:36Speaker 1: Let's slow down.
- 53:37Speaker 7: I hope you enjoy the pitch. Lastly, I just want
- 53:40Speaker 7: to add that I love this podcast. And I love
- 53:42Speaker 7: getting to hang out with the four of you every week.
- 53:44Speaker 7: Take care and speak saying Wye.
- 53:47Speaker 2: First of all, that would never happen, William our bond
- 53:50Speaker 2: is too tight.
- 53:51Speaker 1: Yeah, Cody thought we were gay.
- 53:54Speaker 2: It's not gonna happen, William.
- 53:56Speaker 1: Well, I believe that Donald would be on his knees
- 53:58Speaker 1: outside Pinewood Studient begging to get in.
- 54:01Speaker 2: I've worked at Pinewood Studios. I would not be on
- 54:03Speaker 2: my knees outside of Pinewood Studio.
- 54:05Speaker 1: What if George Lucas, much like the Emperor, was like,
- 54:08Speaker 1: get on your knees, Donald, face on, that was Vader.
- 54:12Speaker 3: Sorry, definitely get on your.
- 54:15Speaker 2: Knees, Donald, that's definitely Vader, and show.
- 54:18Speaker 1: Me that you're worthy of a part in my creation.
- 54:22Speaker 2: Are you saying I have to perform for Latio George
- 54:24Speaker 2: Lucas to get into Star Wars.
- 54:27Speaker 1: I didn't mean that you made that ship up. I
- 54:29Speaker 1: just meant he was making it on your knees to
- 54:31Speaker 1: be like to bow down.
- 54:33Speaker 2: To him, bow down to George. I have no problem
- 54:35Speaker 2: bowing down to George Lucas.
- 54:36Speaker 1: Okay, So if George was like, you can have a pastry,
- 54:39Speaker 1: you can be one of Lando's friends in the new series.
- 54:42Speaker 2: Then we'd have to contact Donald Glover and I'd have
- 54:44Speaker 2: to convince Donald Glover that too.
- 54:46Speaker 1: So I heard they're making that and that they just
- 54:49Speaker 1: they fired the writer or something, and their there that
- 54:53Speaker 1: he and his brother are writing the new Lando series.
- 54:56Speaker 2: All I know is I didn't get a telephone call,
- 54:58Speaker 2: so yes, yes, yet And everybody knows who my favorite
- 55:02Speaker 2: star wars.
- 55:02Speaker 1: Camp But you could be Lando's older brother, bando.
- 55:07Speaker 3: What do you play Lando's dad?
- 55:09Speaker 1: WHOA, he's not older than He's not Donald Glover's dad.
- 55:14Speaker 3: Prosthetics instead old man.
- 55:16Speaker 2: I'm still holding out for Ahska. How about that?
- 55:19Speaker 3: Bro? I can't even talk about it.
- 55:20Speaker 1: Stuff about that? Thanks? T Mobile? Did you know that
- 55:24Speaker 1: at T Mobile new and existing customers always get the
- 55:27Speaker 1: same great device deals with go five G plus plans.
- 55:30Speaker 1: It's true? So why wait? Check out t mobile dot
- 55:33Speaker 1: com slash go see why. Now back to the show.
- 55:37Speaker 1: Now listen, Thank you for your pitch, William, very clever.
- 55:41Speaker 1: You know, Donald and I are talking about maybe documenting
- 55:45Speaker 1: our tour as some sort of docuseries perhaps, but I
- 55:50Speaker 1: don't think that we'll go the full curb your enthusiasm
- 55:52Speaker 1: fake version of our of our real lives. I don't
- 55:56Speaker 1: think that's our our style.
- 55:58Speaker 2: I love the fact that we're selling out like the Colosseum.
- 56:01Speaker 1: And yeah, imagine that we sell out the Colosseum. That'd
- 56:05Speaker 1: be an O two arena.
- 56:07Speaker 2: I mean, we sell the Colosseum, We're like legendary. That's
- 56:11Speaker 2: straight up. I mean, we might as well call ourselves gladiators.
- 56:15Speaker 1: I didn't like when Cody was I didn't like when
- 56:17Speaker 1: Cody was being about to be negative about our date
- 56:19Speaker 1: for Thursday night.
- 56:22Speaker 2: Listen, Bud.
- 56:24Speaker 1: He doesn't understand that. He doesn't understand our love of
- 56:26Speaker 1: Tea Swift.
- 56:28Speaker 2: He doesn't know the love that we have for Tea
- 56:32Speaker 2: Swift because it's a hard thing to understand, you know
- 56:36Speaker 2: what I mean, it's hard to understand.
- 56:39Speaker 1: Do you think we're going to be the only straight
- 56:42Speaker 1: men there that came.
- 56:43Speaker 2: I think we're going to be the only men over
- 56:47Speaker 2: twenty five at this concert.
- 56:49Speaker 1: To be that's not true. My question is this, Are
- 56:51Speaker 1: we going to be the only men who are straight
- 56:54Speaker 1: who came together alone?
- 57:00Speaker 6: No?
- 57:02Speaker 1: Probably, Well your thoughts.
- 57:06Speaker 2: Definitely, I'm having the right picture.
- 57:08Speaker 6: Who up to the other street guy friends were like,
- 57:11Speaker 6: fuck yeah Teeth Swift, But that's what makes you guys special,
- 57:14Speaker 6: what makes a special.

- 57:19Speaker 2: be forever.
- 57:20Speaker 1: I'm gonna cry, just I's gonna.
- 57:22Speaker 2: Go down in face. You can tell me when it's over.
- 57:25Speaker 2: I'm gonna look at you and we're gonna smile at
- 57:27Speaker 2: this part. Got along with Stuve ex lovers. We're gonna smile.
- 57:32Speaker 2: They'll tell you I'm insane.
- 57:35Speaker 1: I might not. I won't like suddenly grab your hand,
- 57:38Speaker 1: but if I do, just show it.
- 57:39Speaker 2: Away and now write your name.
- 57:44Speaker 1: All right, that's our show, Everyboddy, we love you. Count
