  supporting the Diaspora Ministry in Barnsley, England.

  Esteban is deeply passionate about walking alongside those

  who feel called 2 Missions. He enjoys surfing the church

  through discovering, developing and deploying nursery

  missionaries, helping to mobilize and equip new workers

  for the mission field. Today he will speak about impact

  of missionary mobilization. Hello friends, welcome to Game

  and thank you for being with us in this series of Missions
• 1:04
  Mobilization. Today I want to share something
• 1:08
  that is truly at the heart of missions.
• 1:11
  The book of Acts after 16 is one of my wife's favorite chapters.
• 1:16
  It is also a passage that we frequently use in urban mission
• 1:20
  trainings because of all of the richness of principles and
• 1:24
  lessons that we find there. It's impressive that even though
• 1:28
  it was written centuries ago, it remains completely relevant for
• 1:33
  the local church in today's urban context.
• 1:36
  But today I want to focus on one central proof that becomes the
• 1:41
  foundation for everything happening in that chapter, and
• 1:44
  that must also become a foundation for our church today.
• 1:49
  Many times we think about mission dependence mainly on
• 1:52
  finances, strategy, structure, or human resource or plans.
• 1:58
  And while all of those things are very important and
• 2:01
  necessary, this chapter teaches something foundational.
• 2:06
  Mission moves forward when the church learns to listen and obey
• 2:10
  the boys of God. The missionary mobilization of
• 2:13
  the church is not simply a church department.
• 2:17
  It's not mainly an annual program of a lease of a lot of
• 2:21
  mission trips. According to what we see here,
• 2:24
  mobilization in the Primitive Church is a movement directed by
• 2:29
  the Holy Spirit. The verse six to seven tells us
• 2:33
  that they were kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the word
• 2:37
  in the province of Asia. They tried to enter to Vithinia,
• 2:41
  but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to.
• 2:46
  Paul and his team had a plans, but it was the Holy Spirit who
• 2:51
  closed door change directions to them in open way through
• 2:55
  Macedonia. From the human perspective,
• 2:58
  these would look like they had a delay or confusion or probably
• 3:03
  an obstacle that come to their way and he couldn't even be seen
• 3:07
  like something were run was going run.
• 3:09
  But from God's perspective he was guiding every step.
• 3:15
  In the verse 9 to 10, Paul receives the Bishop from the
• 3:19
  Macedonian men saying come over Macedonia and help us.
• 3:23
  And the passage continues by saying immediately we try to
• 3:28
  leave for Macedonia, concluding that God has called us.
• 3:33
  That teaches something very important.
• 3:35
  The mission does not begin first in an office.
• 3:38
  It begins in the heart of God. When mobilization becomes only
• 3:44
  unstructured, an event of budgeting our churches, it risks
• 3:49
  to lose its spiritual essence. But when the church listened and
• 3:54
  learned to obey the Holy Spirit mission come alive and because
• 3:58
  the Holy Spirit direction was happening in Acts chapter 16,
• 4:03
  extraordinary things happens. We can see that the gospel rich
• 4:08
  new regions, entire families were transformed, new church was
• 4:13
  born in Philippine. All of this began because a
• 4:16
  missionary team choose to obey the boys of God and while they
• 4:21
  obey, they discover something powerful that the Provinian
• 4:25
  grace of the Lord was already at work before they arrive.
• 4:29
  God was already preparing the hearts.
• 4:32
  He was already opening doors and transforming life.
• 4:36
  That means that the missionary mobilization cannot depend on
• 4:39
  the structure, planning, or human resource.
• 4:43
  A true missionary mobilization of the church happens when the
• 4:47
  Holy Spirit calls direct and power and move the church
• 4:53
  towards the people and places that God wants to reach.
• 4:57
  This chapter 16 shows that the mission of God is not an
• 5:00
  oscillated event. It is directed by God and from
• 5:05
  the Bible code perspective, we can see that His mission is a
• 5:09
  spiritual and strategic, relational, intentional and
• 5:14
  productive. Therefore, the church is called
• 5:17
  to recover its role as an active agent of sending expansion and
• 5:23
  multiplication of the gospel. The church do not simply need
• 5:27
  admission department. The Church need to learn how to
• 5:31
  be lead by God and the Holy Spirit because where the Holy
• 5:35
  Spirit leads the mission at dance.
• 5:38
  And today the challenge for us at the Church of the Nazarene
• 5:41
  Eurasia is very clear. Are we being lead by the Holy
• 5:46
  Spirit or only by agendas and plans?
• 5:49
  Where is God leading us today? Because there are still people
• 5:53
  in oppression and waiting for freedom, there are still hearts
• 5:58
  that God is already preparing to receive the gospel, there are
• 6:02
  still entire family that needs salvation, and there are still
• 6:06
  cities, community, and regions. What the church is not
• 6:11
  proclaiming Christ yet? I want to close by inviting you
• 6:15
  not only to pray but also to take a step of obedience.
• 6:20
  Today you can join the missionary movement that of the
• 6:23
  Holy Spirit through NASA and missions.
• 6:26

  places that you want to reach. Prepare our hearts to obey, to
• 7:07
  go, to send and to serve You. Use our church to bring hope,
• 7:12
  freedom and salvation to the nations.
