- 0:07This is Chuck's canteena podcast where anything and everything is up for discussion. And
- 0:15now here's your barman, Chuck O'Donnell. So I'll go ahead and launch into
- 0:26the next one. And this one is a bit longer. There are a
- 0:30few updates, but I I vetted this one. The first one I had
- 0:34never read, but this one I read through to make sure. Okay,
- 0:37this as long as fucking let me make sure it's worth it. And let
- 0:40me tell you, if we weren't sipping, if I wasn't sipping Heineken,
- 0:43I'd be sipping some tea because this one is a noozy, you know,
- 0:48hangout for one second. Let me grab my let me grab my charger really
- 0:54quick. Actually yeah, well he's gone a word from our non sponsors me
- 1:08Chuscantina. Yeah, so just really quick while he's grabbing a charge of the
- 1:15chargees thing. Again. Just want to thank you all for your patients this
- 1:19last couple of months. It's been uh interesting. But yeah, like I
- 1:26said, I canna have more stuff coming out. Do you want to give
- 1:29out? Actually a quick little update while og patron is while og pat while
- 1:37og Patron's getting his stuff. You remember a couple of months back for episode
- 1:40one sixty one, I had a guest on where we essentially discussed upcoming production
- 1:47stuff like that. Amelia Uh just from Just for a little hair of Mainery
- 1:51just and where she was discussing her performance of all she cares about is the
- 1:55Yankees. I don't remember the exact extent of what happened in the show or
- 2:00all that stuff or how it went, but just look look update, and
- 2:01I know she listens to millile congratulations. I know she received some type of
- 2:06like I don't want to say grant or something like that, but essentially they're
- 2:08gonna do another big show in New York by Yankee Stadium. So I just
- 2:13want to give them congratulations and a toast. That's awesome, you know,
- 2:17Mazzle to off. Uh, that's not right, congratulations. Yeah, it's
- 2:25just stuff like stuff like that. It's cool because, like you know,
- 2:27you talk about these stories on here and then or any other podcast or platform,
- 2:30and then you find out like they lead to great success for those individuals.
- 2:34And you know, I'm always down for like I said, I'm all
- 2:35about spreading positivity. Yeah, we might have a few cuss words for in
- 2:39general or towards each other here and there. But hey, like at the
- 2:42end of the day, it's a positive place. Positive reinforcement is what makes
- 2:45her. We'll go around. So not money. I mean that's around,
- 2:47to be honest. But yeah, and now I'm just rambling while he's grabbing
- 2:52his stuff to charge his computer. And he better have washed his hands this
- 2:59canteen we wash our hands in here. I did wash my hands, did
- 3:02you? I didn't hear you? Seen the happy birthday sounds? Shake it
- 3:07in my head. Okay, I am so sorry. I didn't you myself.
- 3:14I was I was just telling. I was just saying a little show
- 3:16update while you were going that is all now gold, Come on, sorry,
- 3:25you're fine. I uh should should have meeting myself. Okay, all
- 3:32right, anyway, what were you telling the good people that you're not an
- 3:38asshole? Continue? Okay? Were you plugging? You plugging the next episode
- 3:43or whatever? No, I was plugging something from the past we were Okay,
- 3:45I'll tell you later. Oh cool, cool, all right, So
- 3:50I am going to get your feedback off the title alone and then I shall
- 3:53read it. Oh hold on, sorry, I got some mail. Oh
- 3:54what fucking sick? Go ahead, Sorry, it's my dead pool funk.
- 3:58Okay, alright, Oh, I can't wait to see that July twenty fifth,
- 4:03baby, So I have to make a trip over to your neck of
- 4:06the woods so I can see it with my pros. Fair enough, that'd
- 4:11be interesting to start review. We could do it at the on the spot.
- 4:16So am I the asshole for forcing my fiance into cutting off his late
- 4:23wife's family? Oh? So what's your take? Well on that title?
- 4:28Really quick? Can you reread that again so I make sure I have the
- 4:30full clarity? Am I the asshole for making my fiance for forcing yea for
- 4:36forcing my fiance into cutting off his late wife's family. So a man and
- 4:42a woman got engaged and the fiance wants her man to cut off with his
- 4:51widow's family. Yes, he's a widowers and she wants him to have nothing
- 4:59to do with that family. Right, I'm going to want to let me
- 5:03hear it, say you're you're an asshole, because all right, that's one
- 5:09of the things I say. Livelies jumping a lot, especially on here.
- 5:11His context is key, but just based on that context, you're an asshole.
- 5:15So let's see what you got. Well, the context is very key
- 5:16here, Ah, so maybe she's not an asshole, right, So,
- 5:20yes, you've read into my plan here. Ah yeah, so yes,
- 5:26of course, I yes, I will continue to read this post in this
- 5:30voice now. Yeah. I a twenty five year old female. I'm getting
- 5:34married to my fiance, a twenty nine year old man in May. When
- 5:39we first got together, he told me that he was married from twenty to
- 5:42twenty two years old to his high school sweetheart. We met when he was
- 5:45twenty five, but she passed of sepsis from a botched surgery. Jesus,
- 5:49I know, right, that's fine, I said, that's all. Yeah,
- 5:53it's horrible. He didn't cope. Well, I'm gonna stop the voice
- 5:56now, because that was he didn't cope well and dayed in contact with her
- 6:00family, namely father and two sisters nineteen and twenty four. It was a
- 6:05soft spot for me for a while at the beginning because there was so much
- 6:09history they had that we would not have, and it was tough knowing that
- 6:12she was all around him. I never told him and decided to work through
- 6:15it on my own, especially with the fact that he would often spend time
- 6:18with her family during our relationship. Her birthday, their anniversary, and anniversary
- 6:23of her death, he'd spend the day with her family. It was uncomfortable
- 6:27at first knowing the man I loved was reminiscing about love he had with someone
- 6:30else, but I kept trying to see it from his perspective. In the
- 6:33last couple of years, I had completely secure in our relationship and it doesn't
- 6:38bother me much anymore. No. Well, he proposed this time last year,
- 6:45and I was over the moon. I loved this man with all my
- 6:46heart, but I recently learned that he never told them that he got engaged.
- 6:50I've been trying, you know, I know I've been trying. Sorry,
- 6:57plot's going thick of some more, let me tell you with the thick
- 7:00legs and cottage cheese. Yeah, I've been trying local coffee shops the past
- 7:06few months rather than my usual run, and tried a new one. His
- 7:11late wife's sister worked there, and other than being awkward, she did a
- 7:15double take of my engagement ring and looked really unhappy, as would. I
- 7:20didn't mention it and left. How are you feeling? I need more context,
- 7:29but I'm taking back my comment that she's an asshole. Yeah, you
- 7:34read so far? Murky kind of up in there. We don't know for
- 7:38sure, the turning more towards the dude being an asshole, right right,
- 7:45So that was kind of my thought. Now it's like, well, why
- 7:47wouldn't you tell them? Why is it such a big fucking deal, right
- 7:51right? Well, my fiance told me that she kept messaging him on social
- 7:57media about it, and I wasn't happy that he kept it a secret.
- 8:01He apologized and was very depleted by it all. He said that he didn't
- 8:05want to hide me, but he didn't want to hurt them either, and
- 8:07that both of us were a huge part of his life. I understand that
- 8:13and let him off the hook slightly, just told him to be upfront with
- 8:16them from now on. That was that, at least I thought so.
- 8:20Oh boy, bum bum bum. A week ago, on Sunday, I
- 8:24got a message from the twenty four year old sister asking if I was happy
- 8:28with myself, that I would never replace his late wife and that if she
- 8:31was still alive, he'd choose her over me every time. She even said
- 8:37that he only kept me around for my money and something to stick his dick
- 8:41into. Jesus, I know it's getting spicy. I ignored it, but
- 8:46I can't say that it didn't affect me. When you're in my position.
- 8:50All these points are ones you have to work through, and it's not easy
- 8:52to get over those insecurities. It feels like a knock in the teeth when
- 8:56they're used against you. Yikes, yikes, this is actually this is okay,
- 9:03this is a good one. I know, I know. I was
- 9:07me and me and Rogerter were looking at us like, man, this is
- 9:11as long as fucking Then we read it and was like, oh god,
- 9:13okay, this is right. I mentioned it to him and he comforted me
- 9:18and reassured me. He said he sat balances with her and I never have
- 9:22to hear from her again. Fine by me, now, Chuck, how
- 9:28are you feeling? So? The guy to me is the ansel. But
- 9:31I'm trying to figure out why is he being distant? Why is he being
- 9:35distant from them, from his in laws technique, his it was older in
- 9:41laws, right, Why is he trying to keep this from him right?
- 9:43Because he he was He was pretty obvious evident. They were close right,
- 9:48right, And it doesn't seem like he's really let them in on his life
- 9:52as far as this relationship goes. But well, let me continue again,
- 10:01mentioned it to him, fine by me, YadA YadA. That was until
- 10:05I found my car with whorror and grave robber smeared in red paint. Oh
- 10:09I had saved for the Yeah, I had saved for this car right now.
- 10:16I'd saved for this car for a year. And it was expensive,
- 10:18very expensive. The tires were slashed and the windows cracked. I asked,
- 10:24no, right, can you imagine like going outside and finding your car with
- 10:26that shit on it and being like, what the fuck? Like a right?
- 10:31Look? I don't know. That's fucking insane. I asked the store
- 10:37a few doors down for their CCTV camera footage of the night, and uh
- 10:46sorry, uh cc camera footage of that night. But it was blurry and
- 10:50it didn't catch much. It did manage to catch half a license plate,
- 10:54the foe and the color and make of the car. It was his late
- 10:58wife's youngest sisters are jesus. I told him I was filing a police report,
- 11:03and he asked me to hold off until he talked to them. I
- 11:05told him no, but no, dude, this is my fucking car right
- 11:13here. Fuck. I told him no, but I would if they paid
- 11:16for the damages and apologized to my face. That's kind of straight out,
- 11:20you know. Again, like that first story, I read like I feel
- 11:26like police and that story we're a little far fetched to go to. But
- 11:30this is like some incredible vandalism and like destruction of property. But let's see
- 11:35how that meeting went. He set up the meeting for last night, and
- 11:39it didn't go well. To say, everyone was shouting, yeah, this
- 11:46is my shocked face and this is my shocked voice. No, everyone was
- 11:52shouting, whoa dude. The sisters told me they yes, both of them
- 11:58had nothing to be sorry for, and that I should leave their family alone,
- 12:03including my fiance and their family. He told them that it wasn't fair
- 12:09to him to be lonely forever and that he'd hope they'd be supportive of him
- 12:13finding love again. They told him he was betraying the late wife and that
- 12:16he never loved her if he'd marry someone else, which is just bonkers,
- 12:22Like these people really believe that. Everyone only saying this because I think it's
- 12:26just emotions. It's just the fact that he kept it from them, that's
- 12:31the thing, Like, we don't Yeah, he kept it from them.
- 12:37They knew he was with this girl, they knew this, so it's not
- 12:41like, oh, it's not like, oh, hey, James, or
- 12:43the fuck his name is James, I met this girl named Haley, or
- 12:46it's like, you know, it's not like they met Haley just named it
- 12:50the random name. It's not like they met Haley after she got the rock
- 12:52on the finger. They met her away before that. So I think just
- 12:58those comments are just emotions running high. I mean, done again, it
- 13:00could be most I mean, who knows what the emotional and you're fucking vantamizing
- 13:03a car. It's a fucking and you think about it right right exactly,
- 13:05and you think about it like this was his high school sweetheart, the late
- 13:09wife, and then they were married from the ages of twenty to twenty two
- 13:11before she passed, which is it's sad. It's fucking sad, and it's
- 13:16I imagine it's hard for people to move on at all. And then you
- 13:20think he's twenty nine now, and so they've been he's been in their lives
- 13:24for a long fucking time, right, But the idea that he doesn't in
- 13:31their mind, he doesn't get to move on, he doesn't get to try
- 13:33and find love again. It's just it's just where's the logic anything of that
- 13:39right? Right? And like it seems really controlling and really manipulative. Anyway,
- 13:45let me yeah a little bit. They told him maybe it's pretty name,
- 13:48but he never lived there, YadA, YadA. They didn't have a
- 13:52problem with him having a new girlfriend because he'd realized she was the only one
- 13:56for him and get tired of me. Now that hadn't happened. They were
- 13:58putting their foot down. The youngest told him to tell me that they were
- 14:03right and that he never loved anyone like late wife. My fiance broke down
- 14:07at the table. Sounds stressful a little bit. I picked him up and
- 14:15made us leave. I told him I'd be finding a report and suing for
- 14:16damages and the next time they saw us would be in court. When we
- 14:20got back and cal him down, I gave him an ultimatum, either he
- 14:24cuts contact or we call off the wedding and go our separate ways. Oh
- 14:30no, that's a bit of an asshole move that I see. Where tensions
- 14:35were high, right, and like, you know, I don't know where
- 14:39I would be in that situation. This is one of those where everyone's an
- 14:43asshole a little bit. The fiance, the woman. She is not an
- 14:48asshole in any of the situation other than the ultimatum that is a part of
- 14:54his life that he is that close with. Now, if I'm her,
- 14:58what they did to her is it shit? Is it shitty? Absolutely?
- 15:01But the question that unless there's another edit, you can tell me and not
- 15:05in a minute here, why did he not tell them, because because there
- 15:13was plenty of time had passed, and like I said, it wasn't like
- 15:15he kept her away and stuff like that, like it's you know he did
- 15:18he clearly did you know, he did his time. You know nothing,
- 15:20you don't ever overcome something like that like he did the time he did,
- 15:24he did his grieving, his healing, all that stuff. He then went
- 15:26out there he was right, and a new girl was like you know what,
- 15:31okay, Like look, I can see myself doing this with her now,
- 15:33YadA YadA YadA. Put her ring on it. But it didn't want
- 15:37to tell those people because it's not gonna lie like like it's one thing to
- 15:41bring again, I don't God forbid, you know the deal, you know,
- 15:46don't want that to happen, But there's one thing to bring Like you're
- 15:48the girl you want them, you know, what I mean, Like I
- 15:50just remember the first time Caitlyn met my dad and my mom and Scott,
- 15:54Like I remember like like like she met my mom Scott way before he started
- 15:56dating, Like the first first time she met my dad, Like it might
- 16:00be like a quick thing, the graduation party, Like the first time she
- 16:03like really got to know him was like years that we were doing is he
- 16:04was in Texas and stuff like that, And I think that's like that's like
- 16:07a memory that's like lotted in my mind for the rest of my life.
- 16:11It's also the first time of my dad I had a beer together. That
- 16:14was awesome. But it's like it's one thing to do that, but another
- 16:18thing to be like, look like I'm going to introduce you to essentially the
- 16:23family I married into before I met you, Like that's that's a big fucking
- 16:30deal. And this guy did that. But then it's like, Okay,
- 16:33why didn't you so clearly like there's something like like he didn't tell her or
- 16:36me, Like the family is like you know, we don't like her,
- 16:37or like look you like, look we love her, but you can never
- 16:41marry. I don't know. I don't know, but yeah, everyone,
- 16:44I mean it speaks to me like this instant, everyone in this vaull Sorry,
- 16:47everyone involved with this story is an asshole, But the person the bottom
- 16:49pull, the person who's the least amount of asshole is the author. Absolutely
- 16:53and like it. See it speaks to me like these this other family,
- 16:57or at least the two daughters, feel like they have some entitlement over how
- 17:00this guy lives the rest of his life, right, because they have that
- 17:03interpersonal connection, right, And it's like, I feel like that could have
- 17:07gone so many different ways. It's like, we're so happy for you that
- 17:10you found someone you care about, and like we like, again, let
- 17:14this guy ditch his grieving. He's probably had those same internal struggles of like,
- 17:18well if I move on, does that like mean that I don't love
- 17:21her, that I won't remember her? And like, clearly he's come to
- 17:23a conclusion where it's like I still love her and have kept this her family
- 17:27in my life because I still love her, but like I have made peace
- 17:33with that and am able to move on. And it's like it's not like
- 17:37they were married for years and got divorced or it's not like there was some
- 17:41terrible thing, like terrible breakup that happened no, like she passed away,
- 17:45Like that wasn't something he had ever wanted, right, and like to have
- 17:51this all thrown back in his face must have hurt so much. And I'm
- 17:55not shocked that he broke down at the table, Like having these people that
- 17:59you thought you trusted because they had they given, have they approved of it,
- 18:03they would have been probably not even on the front of the second row.
- 18:07That's like, that's like his family, Like that's his sisters in laws,
- 18:11his father in law. You go by, yeah, like my like
- 18:15my in laws, Like I get a lot of them fantastically, and I
- 18:18have two sister in laws because of it. Like sure, like any brother
- 18:22and sister, they drop me fucking crazy. Yeah, and I'm sure I
- 18:25drive them crazy, but I love them to death. Sorry all right,
- 18:33No they're they're they're really cool action right, No, yeah, no,
- 18:37You've got great people, and so okay, So ultimatum, separate ways.
- 18:45And then she she says, I wasn't going to live my life with this
- 18:48harassment and someday subject my children to their bullying. He said they would never
- 18:52bully a child, but I shut him down and said he didn't expect any
- 18:55of this either. He called their father, who was fairly chill about it
- 19:00all but still defending his daughters. They say I shouldn't control him and that
- 19:03I'm horrible or for cutting them off. I don't know what to do.
- 19:07I can't live like this, and I don't think I should have to just
- 19:11because we're getting married. Sorry, Okay, here's the the father being chill
- 19:15doesn't surprise me at all. But here's the thing. It's like, look,
- 19:18yeah, you're gonna back your family, But it's like, dude,
- 19:21your daughter literally vandialize a car, right, And it's like it's not like
- 19:23she was gonna cut them off before this, No, it was when it's
- 19:27when she goes look. I just when she goes look, I want an
- 19:30apology, face to face, like she she's what she has, and the
- 19:33pay the dam to look, pay for my car and apologize and we're good.
- 19:37At the beginning of his post, she even says, like I made
- 19:40my peace with the fact that he still spends time with them, like they're
- 19:42in like the late wife and his anniversary, her birthday stuff like that.
- 19:45Like she made peace with that. She did that on her own internally,
- 19:49right right, because she realized it was fucking important. To him, Oh
- 19:52my god, we'll see. That's it's any any especially like you know,
- 19:56that's in any marriage. You compromise, you you you do what you can
- 20:02for your part, but sometimes you have to compromise, Like okay, perfect
- 20:04example. I mean it's not a grey example. Okay, for example,
- 20:07Caitlin goes to wrestling guys, I know she has a good time. Does
- 20:10she want to go? No? Well again, that was literally a whim
- 20:17where I'm like, hey, do you want to? And I did not
- 20:18tell her and it was there. That's the best part about that. It
- 20:22wasn't advertised. It was a legitimate surprise. It started off based on our
- 20:25room because some guy in Chicago who has a decent follow and he's like,
- 20:27I heard that he wanted to run a truck hindsight, didn't even run a
- 20:30truck. It just it just happened, so that the guy that was gonna
- 20:33run a truck to him end up canceling. But told the dude it's off.
- 20:38No, not not, you know, not they fell far or any
- 20:41of them fucking fucking twat nuggets. Guy reported that none of her more and
- 20:48guess what happened took her there? Okay, She's like ohh I're going on
- 20:51to wrestling and shows like, oh, at least see in Punk's here,
- 20:52And of course Cardy Roads comes out. She's she hates Cardy Rose, so
- 20:56caroling Cody Roads. And then what happens and then she's like, oh yeah,
- 21:00yeah right, but yeah Rock, well yeah, Rock's not coming out,
- 21:03but anyway, he'll just talking shit. And then I said this one
- 21:06when the episode happened, that episode we did after that show. There are
- 21:10moments in your life where you wish you had a camera. I wish I
- 21:14had a camera on her face. I think I think about that a lot,
- 21:18like because and I said, oh yeahcause, as I said, literally
- 21:19on the snapchat love I mean she, I mean I said the show,
- 21:23babe. Sorry, like the snapchat, it was why it was a tire
- 21:27shot. They all see all the people inside. Why am I here?
- 21:30Five minutes later, Dwayne Johnson in the rain, have my babies please?
- 21:37That's funny. Can't blame her. I mean the guy. The guy is
- 21:40a baby making machine man so liked, and he's got a haircare product now
- 21:45doesn't to work on him. But I digress. I use it. It's
- 21:48nice, It's most good. It would be fucking weird. It would be
- 21:52fucking weird if he grew his hair back. At this point, I'm just
- 21:55saying, anyway, don't look up. Don't look up the his movie he's
- 21:59working right now, where you got a wig on it? It'd I wish
- 22:06him the best, I really do. We got some No, you're fine,
- 22:08you find these digressions are what make the show anyway. So before the
- 22:14first update, we've got some relevant comments. If I'm going to read a
- 22:18few of them, because there are a couple, and then I'm just pulling
- 22:19from the ones that I think are important and relevant to the story. A
- 22:22question somebody asked, is the ring he gave you the same one he gave
- 22:26her? Ooh, that's a question that she says, No, the ring
- 22:30is actually my late grandmother's engagement ring. He asked my father if he could
- 22:34give it to me when he asked for his blessing. As gross as it
- 22:37sounds, I think the quote grave robber bit was about me stealing him from
- 22:41her grave. At least that's all I can get from it, right,
- 22:47And so another question, where are his parents in this? They were old
- 22:52parents, she says, in their late forties when they had my fiance,
- 22:55so they've retired, and he never wants to bother them with anything. I
- 22:57doubt they even know about any of this. I might bring up that he
- 23:00needs to get their input because the way they're treating him is gross and wrong.
- 23:04That's going to be important later. So okay. Oh, and I
- 23:10didn't read the date, but this is from March of this year. Jesus,
- 23:15I know, right, I love the newer ones. So this is
- 23:18This update is from the next day. Hey, everyone, just a mini
- 23:22update to clear some things up before I have a discussion with my fiance either
- 23:25later today or tomorrow about my ultimatum. I didn't sleep it all yesterday or
- 23:29the night before for obvious reasons. There's a ding on my phone at least
- 23:32once an hour from them saying one thing or another, mainly the nineteen year
- 23:36old. And I don't know what they've told people, but I've got a
- 23:37message from one of their uncles and grandparents calling me horrible stuff too. So
- 23:41obviously they've been spreading what's happened this week and twisting it, which is always
- 23:45always healthy. They say they're gathering a mob for this. Carlos great.
- 23:51I haven't blocked them because I want to gain as much evidence as I can
- 23:53for the inevitable case. Regardless of any outcome with my fiance, I will
- 23:56be suing and finding a criminal case for harassment in vandalism and looking for a
- 24:00restraining order. I just haven't had the mental fortitwo to do so yet.
- 24:04I'm helping my fiance will help me. I haven't spoken to my fiance since
- 24:10the argument at the table, other than to tell him they go or I
- 24:12do. It was my choice to give him a couple days space to come
- 24:15to terms with everything, and I will contact him when I'm ready. All
- 24:19of this from the first message till now has been a week. It's a
- 24:22huge way to contemplate leaving people you've known for fifteen years and who you grew
- 24:26up with. But you know, she's admitting that, like, yeah,
- 24:30these people have been in his lives for a long fucking time and that must
- 24:33be a big fucking weight. But this forced her hand and ultimatum. Yeah
- 24:38it might be an asshole move, but after something like this, like fuck
- 24:42that is that the last update? No? No, no, this,
- 24:47I'm even I'm halfway through that first update and there are truck I'm just gonna
- 24:52let you know there are two more updates, so this one is fucking long,
- 24:56and I don't know if we're gonna have to do a two parter.
- 25:00Okay, yeah, but I'll try to speak through it. You're fine,
- 25:06No after that one, I have no comment. Yeah, okay. He
- 25:11did set boundaries with the sister from the coffee shop. As I've seen the
- 25:15message, he said, paraphrasing, you have no right talking to ope at
- 25:19all like this. If this is how you're going to behave she doesn't deserve
- 25:25this, and you've gone too far. Why are you being like this?
- 25:26And she responded with more name calling and back and forth. He ended by
- 25:30saying not to message me again and to make sure everyone else does the same.
- 25:34I was happy with that. At this point, only one person in
- 25:37the family had an issue to my knowledge, so it was silly to have
- 25:41him cut all of them off. It may not be enough for some,
- 25:45but it was enough for me to feel safe and comfortable. For those saying
- 25:48he needs therapy and counseling, he's already getting it. He's been getting it
- 25:52since before we even started. He doesn't know he doesn't need anymore. It's
- 25:55the other ones I need it. Well, I mean yeah, fair enough
- 25:57at this moment. Yeah, it's kind of we're going, We're going to
- 26:00that fucking extent, right, But I still had there's that one grippy question,
- 26:06but please continue. It doesn't make it makes no sense to me why
- 26:10they're this close. He was bringing her around, and he did not tell
- 26:12him about the right that there's gotta be something. So for a starting day
- 26:21after an incident of work, he started therapy. I don't know about any
- 26:23of their family though. The first time I had a conversation with any of
- 26:26them was that night, So that was the first time she talked to any
- 26:29of them really, which is interesting to say the least. Some people are
- 26:34wondering what late wife died of, and it was a botched weight loss surgery
- 26:37where she died of sepsis. People were wondering if he was somehow the reason
- 26:41behind the surgery, hence the family's insane reaction. But he was not in
- 26:45the slightest. He likes bigger women and would pressure someone into something like that
- 26:49onto her speaking from experience, so I mean they got a little bit of
- 26:55information I'm from that which it's just sad, like weight loss surgery. And
- 27:00then could you clarify. So that night she talked with it. That was
- 27:03the first time she talked with them, That's what she's saying. That's the
- 27:07first conversation earlier that she knew them. I mean, it seems like she
- 27:12knows of them, but it's been like, Okay, that's the wall is
- 27:18starting to come down a little bit. I'm I'm starting to see where the
- 27:22problem is here. Okay, cot, I'm sorry. There are definitely steps
- 27:26that could have been made to avoid a situation like such as this. Right.
- 27:33I also want to clear up the not calling the police about the car
- 27:37thing. It was entirely my idea to not fail charges in exchange for her
- 27:40face to phase apology and damage payment. He only wanted me to wait so
- 27:42that he could talk to her to see if she regretted it, and then
- 27:45have her father pay the damage. At the time, we thought it was
- 27:48just a nineteen year old that smashed in my car, not both daughters.
- 27:52Neither of us wanted to ruin her life. When I found out it was
- 27:53both of them, it was full steam ahead. Thank you all for your
- 27:56messages and hopefully I'll have a positive update for you tomorrow. At it,
- 28:00I chose for him to take the space apart. It's not him being indecisive.
- 28:03I said to take time, that I'd reach out so that his decision
- 28:06is thought out. It's for me. I don't want to be chosen only
- 28:08to be three kids down the line and stuck in a resentful, resentment filled
- 28:12marriage. It's for me. Please understand that. So last update, no,
- 28:18that was just update one. Bro, Oh my god, all right,
- 28:22continue more. That's good man. Like I said, we vetted this.
- 28:27We were like, okay, this as long as hell, but a
- 28:30really good one. Okay, Oh the tea is hot. Let me tell
- 28:33you you're only ship Update number two this is two days from the original post.
- 28:41Well, what a wild morning. This isn't March of this year,
- 28:47absolutely holy fresh, this is fresh man. I mean, I have one
- 28:51that's literally pulls it today. But it's not as crazy. Okay, I
- 28:53can't wait to hear it's not as good as yeh. Cheat code is looking
- 29:02up best of redditor updates. It's got some good ship on that anyway.
- 29:07Number two ready strapped the fucking all right, Well, what a wild morning
- 29:11I've had. My fiance came over bright ne early this morning, and I've
- 29:12never been so damn tired. You may want to take a seat because this
- 29:15will be long. Sorry in advance. First of all, I want yeah.
- 29:21First of all, I want to set the record straight here. A
- 29:22lot of people are coming from my fiance over not cutting them off from the
- 29:25get go, which I don't think is fair. He's a very mild mannered,
- 29:27call him and calculating person, and that's who I always knew he was.
- 29:32Nothing has changed. If he had been Rocky Balbo and flipped the cafe
- 29:34table shouting ubscenities, we he would not be the man I fell in love
- 29:38with. Rocky Balbo is just gonna start swinging. We ate you. You
- 29:49show he did exactly what I expected him to do and exactly what I was
- 29:52comfortable with. You may be attracted to other things than men and expect other
- 29:56things, and that's awesome, but not me, which kudo to her.
- 30:00She knows what she likes, she wants. Here's the update. I texted
- 30:04him saying I thought it was time to discuss this, and he was back
- 30:07at home not a half hour later. He'd been staying with a friend a
- 30:10couple of nights. He had no contact. We sat on our bed to
- 30:11talk because my back is sore from all the packing, and I wasn't going
- 30:15to force myself to sit at the table. Before we even got to talking,
- 30:18he asked if we could cut for a minute. It definitely took some
- 30:22of the weight off and we were able to talk like a couple and not
- 30:26awkward strangers, because, regardless of some people's belief, we do love each
- 30:30other. And it took me a very long time to feel confident in that
- 30:33fact before anyone calls me a doormat again. No, I was still sure
- 30:37I would stick to my ultimatum the first thing. The first thing I asked
- 30:42was if he felt he had enough time to make his decision, and he
- 30:45said he didn't need time. He was very shocked and bewildered at how so
- 30:49much could change in just a week, and how everything he knew was shook
- 30:53up that he couldn't think and went numb. He did apologize that he didn't
- 30:57take a more defensive stance at the cafe, and he doesn't want to make
- 31:02excuses for it. An explanation was that he genuinely didn't expect such a vitriolic
- 31:06response. He did the engagement, Yeah right, I mean after they smashed
- 31:11the fuck out of your car. I don't know. Maybe I would have
- 31:14expect something like that, but who knows. He did the engagement. He
- 31:18hid the engagement. Here we go answer your question. He hid the engagement
- 31:22question. Let's see if it holds up to all this bullshit. He hid
- 31:26the engagement because he knew they weren't overlate wife's death and would be upset at
- 31:30the news. It wasn't like I would feel upset by them not knowing,
- 31:34which I wasn't. Really. He's known these girls since before they were in
- 31:38double digits, and he would never have thought them capable of it. It
- 31:41came so far out of the field that he froze, which kind of sounds
- 31:48like some bullshit. I mean, if you were worried about this, then
- 31:52he might want to cut it off before it gets not cut it off.
- 31:56But like me, I'm not saying. Here's the thing is, like you
- 32:00thought they act like this, and like and forgive me. I can think
- 32:04what was the timeline between his wife's passing and the engagement was like five years?
- 32:10I think it was closer to seven. Okay, so even more or
- 32:14six, but yeah, okay, even more so you can't tell me.
- 32:17And all that time there were not multiple conversations or you know what I mean.
- 32:22So it just sounds like this, Like again, it sounds like his
- 32:25closeness to this family is not as close as it made. It's made to
- 32:30be right. So, I mean, they've been engaged for a year before
- 32:34the sister saw that that I want to hear about the days now. The
- 32:37girl that's writing the ship, she's not the asshole. I know, like
- 32:43we're doing asshole. She could change it in a minute, like well yeah,
- 32:47but uh well, I won't spoil anything, but okay. I asked
- 32:52him if there was any possibility that either of them had a thing for him,
- 32:55and he looked very confused, and I did not think that was coming
- 33:00right, I said, how I've had people tell me it's not uncommon for
- 33:05siblings to do this after loss, and he thought, on it turns out
- 33:07you were right, he said, The twenty four year old about eight months
- 33:10after late wife's death made him right. So this is the twenty four year
- 33:15old now, But so the middle sister right, so she was not eighteen
- 33:19at the time of this, So he said, the twenty four year old,
- 33:22about eight months after late wife's death, made a move and tried to
- 33:24kiss him. He immediately left and told her mother about it. Mother and
- 33:28father are divorced now, but weren't then. She's okay, that's another little
- 33:34rinkle. WHOA, you're fucking worried to the parents, all right, dude?
- 33:37Right? So well, no, no, no, no, no
- 33:38no. She He left the twenty four year old sister and then told the
- 33:44mother that the sister had tried to kis him. I'm saying the parents,
- 33:47man, right, I mean, like, what would you do? Right?
- 33:50That's fucking crazy thought. I mean, I mean, I didn't know
- 33:52what the fuck to do. I mean, definitely believe that she was a
- 33:55miner at the time and message him saying she would be eighteen soon, so
- 33:59it wasn't a big deal. Her mother made her see the school counselor and
- 34:02didn't allow her to be alone with him for a while. It was years
- 34:05ago, so we'd forgotten it even happened. He said he was sure that
- 34:08wasn't the case now because it had been so long. But I'm not so
- 34:13convinced, not that it matters anymore. So there's another little Lincoln. It's
- 34:21good, right, you can write a book about this. This is like
- 34:23a fucking movie or not a TV show. Yeah, God damn, I
- 34:28said the name. He opened up his Facebook and gave it to me to
- 34:31read. Twenty four year old had been messaging him, which he ignored.
- 34:35She ranged from telling him off to crying and saying how portrayed the family was
- 34:37to try to manipulate him against me. He said he was sure that he
- 34:40needed to put them behind him and had been thinking on and off since he
- 34:45proposed, but couldn't bring himself to do it. After this week, the
- 34:49fire was lit and he knew what he had to do. It was all
- 34:52just abstract until suddenly it was very real. So this is something he'd been
- 34:54like mulling over and like obviously very a while, right, he it must
- 35:00have been a very hard choice, and then it was the choice was made
- 35:02for him. Basically, he asked me how I've been coping, and I
- 35:07told him I felt like I'd done everything right, but somehow things turned out
- 35:09worse than that if I'd been the jealous type and stopped their contact at the
- 35:13beginning. I tried to be understanding and put in so much effort to be
- 35:16secure in myself in a relationship, only for everything I worked on to be
- 35:20thrown in my face, like I was a mistress that was cheating with him.
- 35:22He is Christ and you know he didn't blink the entire time and just
- 35:27listened. He said he should have been more observant and realized I was struggling
- 35:30with this so that he could help me. But I've always been the quote
- 35:32unquote strong one. So he neglect them too, and he'll do better.
- 35:37As I've said a few comments now, his parents had him in their late
- 35:40forties and I retired. He hates involving them in activity negativity. But I
- 35:45was stunned when he said he'd been talking to them about this since the first
- 35:47Facebook message. Very vera understanding. But his father took a tough love approach.
- 35:52He said the best quote I think I've ever heard, get your act
- 35:54together before the jig is up, which is just such a baller thing to
- 35:59say. He sounds like he's a ship captain. Sounds like it sounds like
- 36:02he's a script riunner from the nineteen seventies, right, just like you get
- 36:07your reactor, got me fall that shit guys up right exactly. They offered
- 36:12to come stick to run yere, I'm gonna solve this case. It sounds
- 36:15like a nineteen fifties detectives. So sure this case what open coming on there?
- 36:22I'm coming on there. I'm bringing justice with me. They offered to
- 36:28come stay for a while and help a smooth I don't think that's necessary,
- 36:30but I really appreciate the thought on the subject. Oh man, I forgot
- 36:34how long this was? Okay, on the subject of moving. Sorry,
- 36:39I don't know why every last word continue on the subject. No, it's
- 36:45a fucking gun right, Oh my god, I feel like a boy year
- 36:51just like watching people's lives small apart. I made it clear, and again
- 36:53my my final story your Dave Matthews and my final story for the day.
- 36:59If we're still going to stick to three. It's one of my favorites.
- 37:00But it's very short compared to this much shorter, Like page is shorter anyway.
- 37:07On the subject of moving, I made it clear that I would not
- 37:08be living in this house any longer than I had to, and he completely
- 37:13agreed. His parents offered to find us a place in their state if we
- 37:15wanted to have more of a support network, and I'm honestly considering it after
- 37:19this earlier stayed away from my own family, so we'd be a lot better
- 37:22off. His job is remote and I should be able to find work there
- 37:24easily enough. I've been in contact with a friend who's a mechanic and they've
- 37:29putted me between one to two K for the damage. But that's an at
- 37:32cost estimate as a discount, Al buddy, just strap the fucking yeah,
- 37:37that's yeah. A few people have said to get a real, real estimate
- 37:45and to shop around. The real cost is between four to five K,
- 37:49and that's just for the noticeable damage. My friend thinks they've done something to
- 37:52the engine, so thank god I couldn't drive it anywhere. He thinks I
- 37:55may be entitled to replacement car altogether. If so, I will be sure
- 37:59to sue for it, and that's not going to be cheap at After all
- 38:04the emotional things we were discussed. He mentioned when might not be comfortable enough
- 38:08to go to the police. I made it clear he was okay with it
- 38:12with that, or I'd go on my own. He said the surest I've
- 38:15ever seen him that this is what needed to be done, and he wasn't
- 38:19going to let them continue. He done enough to try and shield them,
- 38:22but he wasn't going to let it come at my expense. I'm currently in
- 38:25the bath frothing and bath bombs. I don't know why we need to know
- 38:29that, but we'll be going because, dude, she is typing away and
- 38:34that wine is flowing. You know what, she mentioned, the bath bombs
- 38:40in the glass right exactly. I ain't stupid works, but we'll be going
- 38:49to the station as soon as I'm done. He's downstairs right now printing out
- 38:51the new quotes from the mechanic and the messages twenty four year old sent him
- 38:53over the past couple of days, so we can go prepared. People have
- 38:58said that nothing will come of it, and you may be right, but
- 39:00I have to try, hoping my local police don't have anything better to do.
- 39:02It's a small town, which fair enough to finish. I made a
- 39:07point of asking again if he would cut them off or I had to go.
- 39:09He didn't miss a beat and said they're no longer going to be part
- 39:12of his life, even if I decided to leave. He did ask for
- 39:15one last meeting to say goodbye to their parents and to put a clothes on
- 39:19that part of his life, and to explain to the girls that this is
- 39:21not my fault, but his decision. After seeing how cruel they were capable
- 39:24of being. After that, he would block them on everything and move forward.
- 39:28I was completely fine with that, So there we have it. Writing
- 39:30all this out and being able to talk to people about everything has been both
- 39:34hopeful and a good distraction from the dumpster fire that was my life. And
- 39:37everything worked out as well as it could have hoped, as well as I
- 39:40could have hoped. We'll see how his meeting goes with them. I'm sure
- 39:44they won't be very happy about it, but that's not my problem. Thank
- 39:46you all, and I'll update after they've met up, so shut before oh
- 39:51the fuck up? Oh I guess there's two more updates. The third one
- 40:01is kind of short, but it's really quickly. It's they were banned for
- 40:07three days because somebody in chat started calling her fucking every dirogatory accessus that she's
- 40:13been imaginable and she got banned because of her response, which, yeah,
- 40:16I hope the other person got fucking band two police station. They said,
- 40:22it takes YadA, YadA, that's not really important. They're finally acclaim with
- 40:25the insurance and you know, uh, and so the fiance is going to
- 40:32try to meet with the family. The car is total, the guy,
- 40:39And okay, the car is totaled, the mechanic friend. Yeah, so
- 40:47this is the damages. They found a shattered windshield for slash tires, two
- 40:52broken windows, the paint which was obvious, unknown substance in the engine oil,
- 40:59and the battered body work. Did it say where this takes place?
- 41:02By chance? No? I feel like this whole time, even renations should
- 41:06be had this on in the background. We'll go this mon tell me what
- 41:13I'm telling why dude? Shit? So the car was a brand new Volvo
- 41:19or Je, so brand new, and it's like this is from this year,
- 41:22so it's twenty twenty four either. And because it's total, the amount
- 41:28for the car goes up to sixty k, right, so the family is
- 41:30liable for sixty km and the amount classifies the vandalism as a felony, so
- 41:37they could be looking at jail time. This is when it gets pretty damn
- 41:42good. All right, here we go my fiance because the story has been
- 41:45so boring prior right Oh, by bro, oh bro, I just can't
- 41:51wait to hear your spons My fiance met with the family on Saturday and Tom,
- 41:54the mechanic friend who she just named Tom because she didn't want to keep
- 41:58writing out mechanic friend and Tom sat by the window. I currently live in
- 42:01a one party state, so as long as my fiance con sense, the
- 42:05recording can be used in my case, which is fucking baller in some contexts.
- 42:10Yes, but when you're I guess, it's a state by state basis.
- 42:15It's a state by state basis. But when you're in someone's residence,
- 42:16second vary just based on media line. I don't I think this was a
- 42:20public place. I don't know if it's the ladies and gentlemen's favorite host.
- 42:29That's why I'm opening up another heine Kan extual. Next case, I'm gonna
- 42:31open another Waterloo because I already drink mine. Do I have any more Waterloo?
- 42:37I hope I do. Are you come on? Oh yes, I
- 42:44found one. Here we go, Here we go. It's actually good.
- 42:52Okay, yeah, you've you've been you've been talking about it for a while.
- 42:58Okay, okay, okay, so one party state, Okay, Well,
- 43:02it may not be as drama filled as some of you may want,
- 43:06it was still pretty stressful to see. They met at the same cafe that
- 43:09we did before, and Tom sat at a few tables away. Fiance arrived
- 43:14after their father and before the daughters for the best because they managed to have
- 43:20a calm conversation for once. Fiance told him how he was feeling, and
- 43:23father in law was very understanding but still trying to minimize. He was saying
- 43:27things like, you know, they missed late wife, and they'll come around
- 43:30and just need time to come to terms with you moving on. He kept
- 43:34trying to initiate paying for the damages, but Fiance wouldn't talk about it until
- 43:37the sisters had arrived. It was like Butter wouldn't melt with the twenty four
- 43:43year old, which I love that expression. She couldn't care less. But
- 43:46the nineteen year old came in like the Tasmanian double. Oh boy, I'm
- 43:52gonna I'm gonna use that like Butter wouldn't melt. I don't know where,
- 43:55what context, but that's a life that kind of tells me that this might
- 44:00be like more Southern state, because I feel like people in the South have
- 44:02expressions like man, that's like a raccoon and a dumpster. He's just pulling
- 44:07out all kinds of shit. Well down, damn if I'm a country fright
- 44:09steak on a fucking Tuesday. Man, he's so cool. It's like butter
- 44:13one milk. All right, old damn it. Who put the football game
- 44:16on a Tuesday night? Sir As strapped the fucking because this is my fiance.
- 44:27Didn't acknowledge anyone until it had all settled down. Where then he said
- 44:31this would be his last time meeting with all of them, and they'd be
- 44:35going their separate ways. He turned to the girls and said that he would
- 44:37miss who he thought they were. By the way they could treat people horrified
- 44:42him, especially me. He said this was all him and they needed to
- 44:45accept that, and I was not to blame. He even said it was
- 44:50me who offered the apology in exchange for not finally charges. The nineteen year
- 44:53old then interrupted, asking what charges, and that no one was going to
- 44:58charge them for quote unquote barely touched a car. Yeah good, okay,
- 45:02Well that boys, I'm like everyone, thank you? Yeah right. She
- 45:08was a deer in the headlights when he asked what they'd done to the engine
- 45:12oil, and the two looked at each other. Seems they didn't expect me
- 45:15to find that out. Queue up. The groveling twenty four year old actually
- 45:19tried to touch his hand and told him he had to stop me pressing charges
- 45:22because this would ruin her and interfere with the nineteen year old's college. He
- 45:25said it was too late and the cops should be issuing a warrant soon.
- 45:30In parenthesy in parentheses, it can take a few days. I thought it
- 45:32was an instant thing, but apparently not. This is when their dad got
- 45:37involved again and said for everyone to calm down and fix this quote unquote like
- 45:40adults. Now. He wants his girls to be adults. I say,
- 45:45no, no, he is. He is doing an adult he went to
- 45:47the cops. It's called being a fucking adult someone. Yeah, that's the
- 45:54that's the actual ramification. Yeah right, Oh, it's the consequences my own
- 46:00actions. He asked if fiance would convince me to drop the charges in exchange
- 46:07for that apology, and he'd pay the damages. When my fiance said it
- 46:09was sixty K. The ice he gave to those women would shave the hair
- 46:15off of a cat. Nice. Another great line. I've heard that before,
- 46:19but I can't remember where, but that's I had. I hadn't heard
- 46:21it before. But yeah, the video wasn't the best, but I swear
- 46:23I could see the color drain from their faces. I may sound awful,
- 46:28but I enjoyed it. Call what you were, I would enjoy the shit
- 46:31out of it too. I probably would do. This happened to me.
- 46:34They kept going on about apologies, apologizing and that they'd pay, but he
- 46:37just said it was too late and he was done. He tried to be
- 46:39civil, but they were the ones that wouldn't let it go. Twenty four
- 46:43year old actually asked him to set up a meeting with me so they could
- 46:46get to know me and put it all behind us. Can you imagine the
- 46:51goal, like, just like fine, I'd like to shit, yeah,
- 46:53you had it. I don't know you had a chance. I don't.
- 46:55You couldn't have gotten to know me before you destroyed my car. I'm not
- 46:59going to say in their defense, but in their defense like he never brought
- 47:02her around, which is just mind boggling to me, devon time he spent
- 47:07with them, so right, Charlie, I get that. But at the
- 47:09same time, but this is they committed felony. Like, right, you
- 47:15don't know a person, so does that make it easier for you to destroy
- 47:19the fucking car? It doesn't exactly. I mean, I guess it does
- 47:22on some level if you could argue that. But still it's like, come
- 47:24on, that's a little too late, all right. I know I destroyed
- 47:29your car, but like I don't even know you, So like, let's
- 47:31get coffee and get to know each other and like figure it out, all
- 47:35right. He didn't reply, and after the silence, they piped up again,
- 47:38like, so she won't even meet us, So she's behind all this
- 47:43because she doesn't want us around. We'll see about that in parentheses, not
- 47:46using exact quotes because I don't know if I'm allowed, so not risking it
- 47:50quote in parenthes, things like that. They went on and on, and
- 47:53frankly, it was funny more than hurtful, but they did incriminate themselves more
- 47:58and more for my harassment case. And the nail in the coffin was when
- 48:00the nineteen year old said, if we can do that to a car,
- 48:02imagine what else we could do. That, my friends, is both a
- 48:07confession and a threat of bodily harm. Yeah, so just keep digging that
- 48:10grave, buddy, my fiance said one loud stop before wishing father in law
- 48:15well and telling the girls to not to come near me. He then got
- 48:17up and left. That's where the recording ends because we wouldn't be allowed to
- 48:22use anything afterwards. Anyway. As for moving, we're pretty much all packed
- 48:24up and have a truck coming you Friday. We'll be staying with his parents
- 48:28until we find a place. We're looking at buying this house, but we
- 48:30might get an RV in the meantime, so we're not all stepping on each
- 48:32other. I doubt Experience would mind it all. But this is the last
- 48:36update for a while. I think I have a wedding to finish, a
- 48:37venue to change, new invites, et cetera, in less than two months
- 48:39to do it. Send help, but thank you for all for being years
- 48:44and yeah, send help. Willing to dishack me for remuminating and dinging a
- 48:49huge mental hole. Little comment, where's the mom? And all this?
- 48:54OP says, I've never met her. I think she moved after the divorce.
- 48:58But that's about it, all right, So how are you feeling?
- 49:05We're about to get to the last update now? I will say this again,
- 49:08she is on asshole. This A lot of is could have been avoided
- 49:12had he just introduced again. It just it just again, like look,
- 49:15it's hard, like I can't even say that, Like it's hard because like
- 49:19obviously you and I don't know what that's like, but like you clearly care
- 49:23enough for this family still to keep hanging out with him and stuff like that,
- 49:27but you never bring her around. And like again, like like could
- 49:29be pretty like again, it'd be pretty shitty if it's like, hey,
- 49:31like someone really close to you, like they got engaged. You don't find
- 49:35out so you know they like you haven't me working one day and you bump
- 49:37into that said person in a coffee shop, Yeah, that'd be pretty fucking
- 49:39shitty. But at the same time, it's like like again, you put
- 49:44someone in her engine that could have that could have killed her. She could
- 49:46have fuck you don't know what that could have done car, right, Like
- 49:50slashing tires is one thing, not that I know what that's like, but
- 49:52fucking put it down a fucking engine either, But slashing tires it's almost I
- 49:59mean, it's it's very dangerous. I mean, but you see his last
- 50:01tire, It's like, oh, I'm not gonna dry with a slash fucking
- 50:05tire. But the engine you don't fucking know, right, okay, right
- 50:12right, And like you can't you can't imagine that guy would have Sorry,
- 50:17you can't imagine the guy would have known that they would fucking deal with this
- 50:22or like go this far right right. Okay, so let's get to the
- 50:25final update. I know this is a long one, but it's been good.
- 50:28It's good. There's a few more nuggets in here, a lot of
- 50:31So this is actually from God like ten days ago, this final update almost
- 50:39three months from the original post. That's not funny. I've turned into a
- 50:44bat. I am Dracula. I know no, so calling the past.
- 50:52Calling in the past three months roller coaster wouldn't quite do it justice. A
- 50:55lot has happened. I don't leave anything out here goes. So, first
- 50:59off, we moved away. We're only a couple of towns over from my
- 51:00husband's parents legally, but we kind of just live in their backyard, which
- 51:05is probably just some some you know, uh, you know there's like towns
- 51:08right next to each other. Yeah, yeah, it's like oh three times
- 51:10over, but really it's just like a mile away, and her own parents
- 51:15are only a stayed over. Hallelujah. It's been really great living in our
- 51:17new RV, and we've been able to take a small trip now and then
- 51:22two which has been great for a breather. Took a chunk out of our
- 51:23house savings, but we're not too worried about it, which is good.
- 51:25Like after all that bullshit like go see some sights, like get the fuck
- 51:29out of there, I feel like trips like that are really cleansing. I'm
- 51:32planning one in the near future, the next few months probably, And yeah,
- 51:37I can't wait. Okay, that was me, that was me reading.
- 51:39I know it's the same voice. Oh. I was like, what,
- 51:44I can't speak to what might have happened. But by a strickle luck,
- 51:46the warrants came through the day before a moving day, and the sisters
- 51:50spent the whole move in police custody, which is a great time, great
- 51:55time. I'm sure it was not as formal as cuss an interview, but
- 52:00I like to imagine it that way. So we didn't have to deal with
- 52:01any drama that for sure would have happened otherwise. As I said before,
- 52:06we didn't block them because we wanted to keep the line open for more evidence.
- 52:09And boy was that a good idea, right she I thought, you
- 52:15want to learn, they never do. Nineteen year old has only now stopped
- 52:20sending me messages started off pleading and hoping for a meetup, then went on
- 52:23to calling me names and such for trying to ruin her life. But the
- 52:27past few weeks have been pure rage, which has been draining. If entertaining
- 52:30your rage, She says she'll find me and I'd better watch my back.
- 52:36Blah blah blah. Yeah, such, keep that shit coming, dumb assed.
- 52:39My parents has been working over time. As you can imagine, so
- 52:42many receipts to get my lawyer twenty four year old is still working on my
- 52:45husband, but it reached ahead a few dates before the wedding. We should
- 52:50have changed the dates, but it just wasn't feasible. We had family from
- 52:53all over and that had taken time off of work, and we really wanted
- 52:58everyone there. After all that happened, she tried to call my husband over
- 53:00a dozen times and actually left two voicemails. She was crying and hyperventilating,
- 53:05saying how she didn't want to lose him. Excuse me, your excuse for
- 53:10those of you who said she still had a thing for him, Ding dong.
- 53:15My husband listened to the voice. Now, yeah, I know right,
- 53:20we have a winner. My husband listened to the voicemails with me,
- 53:22and she just rambled. It was actually quite sad. She said that she
- 53:27always thought they would be together because they'd been through so much and if quote
- 53:30unquote felt right. She blamed him for leading She blamed yeah, she blamed
- 53:37him for leading her on and making her fall for him, only to choose
- 53:39someone else that he hardly knew. Right, he hardly knew her even though
- 53:44they were together how many years? Right? Right? She even said she
- 53:49felt replaced, which made me uncomfortable. All this was, all of this,
- 53:52all the while degrading him for betraying his late wife by moving on at
- 53:57all. I genuinely do not understand her logic. Where do I? Yeah?
- 54:02Right, it doesn't make any sense. As for my car, Well,
- 54:06you can't move on unless it's with me, because that's what my sister
- 54:08would have wanted. I guess no sense asked for my car, we found
- 54:13out what the unknown substance was. It was anti freeze. The entire engine
- 54:15was written off and with everything else. My insurance launched a case against them
- 54:20for the cost of a new car. I was expecting sixty K or so.
- 54:22But Tom, my mechanic friend, I love how she said I'm gonna
- 54:24call him Tom because I don't want to type out my mecase and then she
- 54:29tips out, yeah right, Tom, my mechanic friend. Just for Clarity's
- 54:34sake, said Tom said to ask for more based on current market value and
- 54:37such. They came back with a new offer of seventy five K. At
- 54:40this point, when I first read it, I was like, man,
- 54:42I want so many to fuck up my car. Jesus. It took over
- 54:46a month for the money, Like I just want to do it myself and
- 54:49be like I don't know how. Wow. Yeah, it took over a
- 54:53month for the money to hit my account, but I got it. As
- 54:57for the case, I'm no longer going after them for the repayment my insurance
- 55:00is, so that's one last thing I have to worry about. As far
- 55:01as I know, their father is paying for their legal fees, but I
- 55:05doubt he'll pay back the insurance company for them. There's still a case against
- 55:08them for harassment and threatening behavior, and I'm ssuming for the money it took
- 55:12me to move away and emotional distress. My Lory says they'll be liable and
- 55:15it's looking like they want to settle. I don't feel great about going for
- 55:17emotional distress, but after everything they've done, it sure was emotionally distressing.
- 55:22Waka haha. I love bet she should be an author. The courts are
- 55:28moving slowly, so I don't have anything new case yet, right, No,
- 55:31yeah, yeah, oh they're backed up. Other than that they are
- 55:36going to plead guilty. Shouldn't be long now, and it's looking like they're
- 55:39getting probation and mandatory anger management. Not a stitch in jail. But oh
- 55:43well, which is like, I mean, like good, right, Like
- 55:45yeah, at the end of the day, they fucked up a car,
- 55:51right, and they threatened and did all this, but like, clearly this
- 55:53is a family that's had a hard time grieving, has a hard time letting
- 55:58go, and like clearly it was like you know what deaf in their family
- 56:01that like was unexpected And yeah, I mean I I think that's a good
- 56:07If you were the judge, would you have ruled for a different kind of
- 56:10outcome? No, I think, like I said, I think the one
- 56:15they got was just fine. Like I mean, I hate to say he's
- 56:16like slap on the wrist, but it's like it's one of those things where
- 56:20it's like hey, like it was evidence somebody happened in my car. Like
- 56:22again, thankfully nothing worse happened, And there's probably one of the things where
- 56:28it's like, look like, plead guilty of this if you don't, because
- 56:30like I said, they had the record and THEYD all this shit. They
- 56:30tried to fight it. It probably would have been worse for them. But
- 56:34again it sounds like, again, it sounds like the father was the one
- 56:37who was like the one, like you said, the chill guy, like
- 56:38the one, the one person that family that actually was like wee should think
- 56:43about this, you know what I mean? Right? Uh, you know,
- 56:46yeah, probably he probably wasn't in on the whole thing, and probably
- 56:50no, absolutely not. And but thankfully it sounds like, you know,
- 56:52he was the voice of reason and probably like, look, let's just take
- 56:54this deal, be done with it, and then we gotta move on.
- 56:57Because I mean, I think the bigger problem for them is going to have
- 57:00to report that they have a felony on their record going forward for like any
- 57:05jobs or anything. Because of that. Unfortunately, in the country you live
- 57:07in, like felons as reformed as they are can potentially be, they still
- 57:14have to report. Yeah, you know, still keeps them from a lot
- 57:16of opportunities, you know. But lastly husband was down for a while,
- 57:22but he's hasn't wavered in supporting me. He's getting back to his old self,
- 57:27settling into work, and he's enjoying being close to his parents. Has
- 57:29been great for our relationship too, because we all get on so well.
- 57:31As of the twenty first, I'm a married woman. Hooray. It was
- 57:35very heap, very stressful. Good. Yeah, I was gonna say that
- 57:37right. It's very hectic and stressful change basically our entire wedding in two months,
- 57:40but we did it, and our guests were so understanding. We have
- 57:44to settle for a few things like our cake and catering, but everything else
- 57:46worked out amazing. Now, we couldn't imagine it any other way. It
- 57:50happened as it was supposed to. I don't know about all that, but
- 57:52the wedding, Yeah, it's great. Old shots how I imagined it.
- 57:58Having to flee movie, She's shattering windows, shields and waveshields and back.
- 58:07Sister got it. She got a fella on her. Yeah. That went
- 58:13on to Texas State University. I had five more cases in the court.
- 58:17She is now in a psych ward for being crazy on the scene around the
- 58:23screen at the end of the movie. Yeah, there's still there's still the
- 58:27freeze frames and the text talking up. I love it. I love that
- 58:30visually. This is the end of the movie. All right, It's been
- 58:34a tough journey. I'm just glad to have them out of my life and
- 58:37scene now, Chuck, that is it. When I when I suggested this
- 58:45idea to you, did I think I'd be reading a story for like an
- 58:47hour? Is this Is this the one that made you want to talk about
- 58:52it? No, dude, I found this today. I'm oh god,
- 58:58I just like the idea, but then I found this one was like,
- 59:00this is a gold mine. So yeah, it really is right. But
- 59:05that's it. That's it. And I finished a Heineken and opened another one
- 59:08and halfway through from that. So yeah, probably the biggest assholes of the
- 59:12day, the two sisters, minor asshole male fiance. You know, in
- 59:20retrospect and hindsight, could have handled things differently, could have been more proactive,
- 59:23but again, wow, you have expected this, and op it's kind
- 59:28of a bait and switch because it's like, why would you be the asshole
- 59:30after any of this? But uh, I thought it was a good story.
- 59:35Now, that was a great one. As I rest my voice,
- 59:37and I don't know if I can follow that one. It's good as one.
- 59:42It's okay, it's okay. I wanted to get that one out of
- 59:45the way because my last one is one of my favorites and it's very short.
- 59:47But feel free take the floor, the floor, it's yours. All
- 59:52right. Well, I feel like, oh god, I feel like a
- 59:58comedian coming on or after, like you know, like we're trying to follow
- 1:00:00like Robin fucking Williams. Okay, no, please, I feel bad though,
- 1:00:07No, no, no, no, you're fire fight. I wont
- 1:00:08could have been a whole damn episode, like literally, okay, no,
- 1:00:12it was good though. All right, let me pull this up. Sorry,
- 1:00:21we get my redit open as uh as he does that, folks you
- 1:00:29have I was just gonna say, I'm just gonna fish for engagement, uh
- 1:00:34like, subscribe, thank you, comment, do whatever, do your things,
- 1:00:38share the podcast. You can find this anywhere Spotify. You have ideas
- 1:00:44for other types of episodes, retouch to check at Chuck Scantina and your sholcials,
- 1:00:50your scials and if you are fiending for a video format or something,
- 1:00:55like that. We will figure it out, all right. This one is
- 1:01:01one page. Okay, okay, I hear you, I hear you,
- 1:01:07all right, Am I the asshole for trying to save my mom's house?
- 1:01:10Probably not, but let's let's see. So twenty years ago my brother will
- 1:01:15call him Steve scoop of Steve. This is posted, by the way,
- 1:01:17eight hours ago. Well for real, So, twenty years ago, my
- 1:01:22brother Steve bought out my mom's house to save her from get going back to
- 1:01:27the bank. How thoughtful. I understand that it would be Steve's house after
- 1:01:31that. That's what she's been under I understood that it would be Steve's house
- 1:01:36after that. By the way, the grandfarther, this one's awful, fucking
- 1:01:37terrible too, so I apologize. I understood that it would be Steve's house
- 1:01:43after that purchase. My mom lived there until the day she passed away.
- 1:01:47After Steve's oldest daughter moved in rent Free and has lived there since. Steve
- 1:01:54unfortunately passed away about two weeks ago, and his two children have now been
- 1:02:00arguing about my mom's home. They discussed it with Steve's state lawyers, and
- 1:02:05the spoiled girls agreed to sell it and split the money. I wanted to
- 1:02:12preserve our family home and buy it from them, but I was sticker shocked
- 1:02:17at the one point five million dollar price. Jesus. I asked my niece
- 1:02:22about it, and she sent me to the estate lawyer, which was smart.
- 1:02:28I was going to do a rent to own agreement and made it up.
- 1:02:32I thought it was a Steve price tag, but he showed me the
- 1:02:36market rates for houses in the area and told me and told me the plan
- 1:02:40that I had shown him doesn't work. This is a really bad graver.
- 1:02:46Sorry. My brother wanted his daughters taken care of. I told the lawyer
- 1:02:52that my mom would be disgusted by this and that this is happening. He
- 1:02:57told me the probated period of my mom's estate ended years ago, and I
- 1:03:00can make a request against my brother's estate. But my brother's will is set
- 1:03:05at fifty to fifty with his daughters and they have entered an agreement to sell
- 1:03:09the house. What do you think of so far? Hey, okay,
- 1:03:15okay, let me get this straight because this is a little we'll convolve it
- 1:03:19here. So Steve, wait, no, Steve is the poster. What's
- 1:03:24that? Steve? Steve is the uncle who Steve thing like this, the
- 1:03:29author is Steve's sister, and then Steve is her brother, and this is
- 1:03:36a house from their parents, or this is the house from their mother their
- 1:03:39mother and okay, so so the mother died, the mother died twenty years
- 1:03:46ago, and Steve bought the house, and so Steve's looking to sell the
- 1:03:50house, but the sister wants no. Steve passed, he passed away and
- 1:03:57the house went to his two kids. Okay, so Steve's got the house
- 1:04:00in the will. Uh is that right? Hold on, let me see
- 1:04:04it. No, Steve bought the house because or what was it? Steve
- 1:04:09bought out my mom's house to see it from going to the bank. Okay,
- 1:04:12okay, okay, so essentially Steve owned this. Essentially it was the
- 1:04:15mom's house and then Steve bought it to save the house, right, and
- 1:04:17so law, it's my law, it's Steve's house. And so the sister,
- 1:04:23the op the poster or whatever author, she wants to keep it in
- 1:04:26the family. But then the nieces want to sell it. Correct because the
- 1:04:30house is valued at one point five million dollars, which like fucking take the
- 1:04:34mill I mean, especially looking it was supposedly eight hours ago. That's kind
- 1:04:38of normal for today's house at Margaret, that's is crazy and it must be
- 1:04:41a nice house too. Like literally, I get wanting to keep it in
- 1:04:44the family, which is like obviously homes are like almost like a family mover
- 1:04:48in themselves. So many memories are like happened in the home and everything.
- 1:04:53But like, fucking I don't know, man, this is kind of tough.
- 1:04:58I don't I don't think she's the poster. Let me finish this because
- 1:05:00of this might swear your pin a little bit. Okay. I broke their
- 1:05:04car windshields. I put a slashed all four of their tires. I then
- 1:05:12took them hostage. Okay, now, maybe me throw finger clippings. Okay,
- 1:05:17I'm watching our Criminal Minds. Sorry, watching Criminal Minds is a great
- 1:05:21fucking show. I'm disgusted at my niece's for profiting so much off their grandmother's
- 1:05:29and father's deaths. I didn't realize when Steve bought out my mom's house twenty
- 1:05:33years ago it would go down like this, and I feel like me and
- 1:05:38the rest of my family are squeezed out. I told their lawyer I will
- 1:05:43get one as soon as I save up enough money and he said sorry,
- 1:05:47but that's not how this works. He works for my brother's estate aka hit
- 1:05:53my brother's daughters, and he cannot wait around for me to afford a lawyer
- 1:05:57to make a claim on the estate. He was a smug asshole, and
- 1:06:01since then my one of my nieces has blocked me. My husband, my
- 1:06:08husband and children think I'm right and I want to fight this sale. I
- 1:06:12put it on Facebook, but no one has any advice other than to get
- 1:06:15a lawyer. And the ones I have talked to act like it's beneath them
- 1:06:20to help me, and my nieces refuse to speak with me and tell me
- 1:06:24to go through their estate lawyer. Oh wow, Can I give you my
- 1:06:30opinion? Absolutely the op You're an asshole. Look, this is how it
- 1:06:38goes. This is how it goes. Okay, it's a family, it's
- 1:06:41it's it's a house has been the family. Yes, However, when you're
- 1:06:45unfortunately your mother, well here and here's the thing. It doesn't say so.
- 1:06:51It mentions that he bought the house before she died, So I'm assuming
- 1:06:56she lived there until she passed away. That's what I'm going to assume here.
- 1:06:59That makes sense, So I'm assuming she could probably probably because of medical
- 1:07:01bills wherever she couldnt afford to pay the bills, and then the sun bottle,
- 1:07:03maybe she had to go into like assisted living something like that. But
- 1:07:06essentially, in order in order to keep the house in the family, Steve
- 1:07:11bought the house. So in this case, we'll say op's name is Joanne,
- 1:07:15call her Joanne. Okay. Joanne is mad because, unfortunately Steve,
- 1:07:20according to this, a couple of weeks literally two weeks ago, so in
- 1:07:24May or actually no June passed away, sorry for your loss, passed away
- 1:07:30in June. Okay. She is pissed because, as his well dictated,
- 1:07:34the house goes to his daughters, these two daughters, and they're in herself.
- 1:07:43Joanne, Joanne's husband, and Joanne's kids are pissed that they are profiting
- 1:07:48quote unquote off of the deaths. But that's yeah, okay, and here
- 1:07:56before you go, here's my here's my point. Here's my take. Okay,
- 1:08:00this is how it works. It's in his will. If you had
- 1:08:05an issue with it, you should have contested. I don't know, twenty
- 1:08:10years ago, you should have bought the house. Even if you could have
- 1:08:13bought contestation was there even like he bought the house. Right, he bought
- 1:08:17the house and he gave it to his daughters. It's clear, cutting,
- 1:08:24concise, right, it's here's the thing, and for who knows. It
- 1:08:29doesn't mention Let me double check. I don't see anything here. It doesn't
- 1:08:32mention at all anything about if she received anything else or for the first comment,
- 1:08:41the top comment, this was Steve's house. Do you think Steve bought
- 1:08:45this house for shits and giggles? Like if Steve could, if Steve could
- 1:08:51be here and say like, okay, yeah, one million, oh,
- 1:08:56sell the house, Sell the fucking house, sol the fucking house, you
- 1:08:59guys will be fine. It's not even that Steve made a point to go,
- 1:09:01hey, when I pass away, my house goes to my daughters.
- 1:09:06It is or or specify this house maybe a different house. I don't know.
- 1:09:11This house goes to my two children for them to do with it what
- 1:09:15they want. Joanne can fuck off, like okay, And here's the worst
- 1:09:20part. Her husband and the kids agree with her. What kind of people
- 1:09:25are you? Like, here's the thing. It's I'm sorry for you.
- 1:09:27I'm sorry for everyone involved their loss. It sucks, but it's like,
- 1:09:29yeah, what kind of fucking people are you when you're going, oh,
- 1:09:31this should be our house. No, no, no, you have no
- 1:09:35claim to it doesn't. It doesn't. And here's here's where I'll play Devil's
- 1:09:39like. It doesn't specify how Joanne was, doesn't specify what her age was
- 1:09:42when her mom passed and all this stuff went down. The bottom line is,
- 1:09:45oh, here's the way you had twenty years to not saying wiggle,
- 1:09:48find a way to get into the house, or into the ownership of the
- 1:09:53house, or to get on the will. You had all this time of
- 1:09:56the communication, but you didn't. Instead, the I did what any father
- 1:10:00would do. Gee, I'm going I'm gonna pass away, or I have
- 1:10:03all these assets, what should I do? Okay, I'm going to limit
- 1:10:06to my kids. Right, And that's exactly what the house is. It's
- 1:10:10an asset, right, It's an investment, like, yeah, one point
- 1:10:14five million dollar investment, right, which is obviously that house is appreciated in
- 1:10:20value, right, right, I mean, at least from my perspective.
- 1:10:25Again, I have no history in any of this. He bought twenty years
- 1:10:29ago, so I've been to assume yeah, I mean obviously right, right,
- 1:10:32And even even if they didn't touch a fingle a single speck on the
- 1:10:35house, which is which of course didn't happen. But they just anything the
- 1:10:39house. But if all the other house, like I said, the market
- 1:10:41around the around that house, if all the o their houses are going up
- 1:10:43in value, then that house has to go up just right. So and
- 1:10:45so like imagine they will split the commission from the house, not commission,
- 1:10:50but you know what I mean, yeah, split the rate from the house.
- 1:10:54That's half a million, half a million dollars, you know, more
- 1:10:57than half a million dollars. But like through there's a million dollars for each
- 1:11:00of the daughters. They're set up for a while. They can put that
- 1:11:03away, they can buy a home in their own house. They can each
- 1:11:08buy a house right especially today, and like they get paid with cash.
- 1:11:14I mean, she has a sentimental value attached to the house. But you
- 1:11:17know what doesn't buy houses or buy anything in this world is sentiment. And
- 1:11:24like it's I know that's kind of a cold way to look at it,
- 1:11:27but like realistically, it's like they are their own individual people and the father.
- 1:11:32You know, I get it, I get it, I get it,
- 1:11:35Like you know, thinking of my grandparents' home, you know, my
- 1:11:40parents' house. Like, you know, if I could, you know,
- 1:11:45if I could hold onto those those places and like you know, renovate them
- 1:11:51or do whatever and live happily in them, like that'd be one thing.
- 1:11:55But like if if somebody's waving a million dollars in your face, like I
- 1:12:00think I'm thinking of like bills and ship Like I don't want to come off
- 1:12:03as an old assholes, y'all right, but like, let let somebody else
- 1:12:11have that house, right, And it's like, Joe Anne, Joanne,
- 1:12:14what are you gonna do with the hose? What are you gonna do with
- 1:12:16the house? I have a house over? You're gonna sell it. You're
- 1:12:20gonna sell it's so fucking fast. I feel like there's a lot that Joeanne,
- 1:12:29as we've named her, is leaving out of her intent, right,
- 1:12:31because what are you gonna do with the house when you pass on? What
- 1:12:35are you are you gonna keep it? You know? I mean I get
- 1:12:39it. I get where she's coming from to a point, but that's honestly,
- 1:12:42it's like she has no claim to what happens with this property at all,
- 1:12:46and she, you know, go get a lawyer, Joanne, go
- 1:12:49get a lawyer. It seems like they're having a hard time finding one because
- 1:12:53lawyer talking to you. Here's what you're saying, and it's like, well
- 1:12:55no, actually, it's like, well, can you wait till I get
- 1:12:57my own lawyer? No, you have no reason, you know what.
- 1:13:00Yeah, let's let's just give her some time. Hey guys, Hey guys,
- 1:13:03she's gonna take us the court. I think she actually has a case,
- 1:13:06but we should wait for her to get her in order. You're a
- 1:13:11soft asshole, Joanne, but you're definitely an asshole. All right, all
- 1:13:16right? Shall I move on to the final story of the evening? I
- 1:13:21have one more, but yeah, go ahead. Well I thought maybe you
- 1:13:25could finish your you could have the you can read your last one? Okay,
- 1:13:30yes, please, guys. I mean it's Chucks canteen and everything.
- 1:13:33Well, thank you. How nice of you. This one short, but
- 1:13:38it's one of my faves and I hope you enjoyed it. The title is
- 1:13:42a little bit uh, it's a little rough, but I'll read it to
- 1:13:45you. Am I the asshole for telling my boyfriend's mother she raised a fucking
- 1:13:50sociopath who needs to be in a facility. Jesus Christ a mouthful. Yeah,
- 1:13:59so off the bat, off the bat, off the bat from the
- 1:14:02title, what do you think? No, just for just for, just
- 1:14:08for the clarity, can you please read that one more time? Am I
- 1:14:13the asshole for telling my boyfriend's mother she raised a fucking sociopath who needs to
- 1:14:18be in a facility? Just of that? Yeah, because you're saying that
- 1:14:27you're dating a socio? Is she an asshole for telling the mom that though
- 1:14:33no context, shallow as fuck impression, no context, I'm gonna have to
- 1:14:39go Yeah, Yeah, I got an asshole. So I'll read this to
- 1:14:44you. It's one of my favorites and I can't wait to read it.
- 1:14:47So I a female twenty six, have a boyfriend male twenty four, and
- 1:14:53recently he got into a dispute with the neighbor's kids. They accidentally kicked their
- 1:14:58football into our yard and they came into the garden to get it back.
- 1:15:01T BH, I didn't care, but my boyfriend started screaming at these like
- 1:15:06eleven year old uh, these eleven year olds about how they are poorly raised
- 1:15:12and their parents should be ashamed. Oh God, here we go. I
- 1:15:15was fucking mortified. I sent the kids some chocolate and sweets and apologized profusely
- 1:15:21to his behavior. For his behavior chocolates. Yeah, I imagine eleven year
- 1:15:30old comes in and this twenty four year old dude is like, oh,
- 1:15:32I was playing fucking Xbox and you get on here an your parents should have
- 1:15:38raised your butt. Then what to go? Get a football? I was
- 1:15:42trying to watch him one see the basicads dig did little how many times I
- 1:15:49burned this vhs. It's called a fucking DVD. It's called fucking streaming.
- 1:15:57That's hilarious. Really, I was seeing rewatched scene on the VHS for a
- 1:16:04good reason, but let's carry I was seeing red flags and told him this
- 1:16:13behavior was not normal. Oh that's when you finally saw the red flag.
- 1:16:16Holy shit. He kind of brushed me off, and I told him if
- 1:16:20he pulled anything like that again, he was gone. So this guy's living
- 1:16:24in her house right. Yes. The next week, the ball came into
- 1:16:29our garden and I was about to throw it back to the kids when my
- 1:16:31boyfriend stormed outside and took the ball inside. I told the kids that I
- 1:16:36would bring it back in a minute. He went into the bathroom and emerged
- 1:16:42like ten minutes later, wearing gloves and a football covered in shit? What
- 1:16:47his own shit? What the fuck? All right? Really quick? I
- 1:16:51feel like you're an asshole because you're so with this dude, Right, can
- 1:16:57you imagine like, can you imagine somebody get off? That? Is this
- 1:17:02riz? Over nine thousand? Right? I don't care what level of riz
- 1:17:09you have. If you're smearing your own ship on anything, time to put
- 1:17:13fucking gloves on? All right? Please continue? Holy you would put that's
- 1:17:16probably the that's probably the most sane thing this guy has done. It's like,
- 1:17:20you know, and of football, but like you're reaching into the toilet
- 1:17:28to get your It's like, at what point? At one point? At
- 1:17:31what point? Like at that point at least, it's like maybe I maybe
- 1:17:34I need to know, maybe I shouldn't be reaching toilet. My question is,
- 1:17:42did he ship first into the bowl and then reach into the into his
- 1:17:45hands or did he put the football in the toilet and shipped on that?
- 1:17:50I don't know, but carry on. That's the case, then we gotta
- 1:17:55get I gotta a really kind of football. Be talking about it, you
- 1:17:58know what I'm saying. We're talking like a kid's foot, were talking,
- 1:18:00We're talking like a girl like a Walmart football you buy from the that would
- 1:18:06inform the amount of ship that this guy's well. But also like if we're
- 1:18:09talking like an actual size football, that ship's not fitting. That's not gonna
- 1:18:13fit the toilet, right, so you're gonna have to do a toilet then
- 1:18:16to glove. Then I guess what kind of toilet guy. We got a
- 1:18:19colder, We got a toilet brist we got a dice. I don't know
- 1:18:25toilet brins. I just my toilets, a coler, That's all I know.
- 1:18:28So I asked him if he was out of his fucking mind and threw
- 1:18:33it over. He threw it over the fence, screaming, take that,
- 1:18:36you bitches. Imagine calling eleven year old children bitches. I screamed, and
- 1:18:42girl, I mean screamed at him. Okay, give this man a medal
- 1:18:45of honor. I screamed and girl, I mean screamed at him about how
- 1:18:49he was a fucking douche and I wanted him out of my house and he
- 1:18:53is disgusting, fucking monster, and that they were just kids. I screamed
- 1:18:57and screamed, and eventually he left. I deleted all his games off of
- 1:19:00his PS four. It and gave it to the whoa whoa, whoa whoa.
- 1:19:03You're the asshole. I just beat the witcher three and you it's like
- 1:19:10years of just I just got halfway through a fucking blood board. Read good
- 1:19:15redemption too. I was so embarrassed. My xbf's mom messaged, well,
- 1:19:23so this is when we get to the am I the asshole territory? My
- 1:19:26xbf mom messaged me asking what happened? And I responded with, what happened?
- 1:19:30What happened? You are a pathetic excuse of a woman who raised a
- 1:19:33fucking sociopath who covered a football on his own ship and threw it at some
- 1:19:36kids, and he needs to be in a facility because something is wrong with
- 1:19:39him, and god knows how I hadn't seen any red flags about the fucking
- 1:19:42monster he raised during the seven months we dated. That was all one sentence.
- 1:19:46I know I am in the right for what I did to my BF,
- 1:19:47But am I in the wrong for snapping of the mother for something she
- 1:19:50had no direct involvement in. What's your take, bud? What's your take?
- 1:19:55What's your take? So all the mother said was what happened? Yeah,
- 1:20:02so we don't know what the friend was telling the mom, you are
- 1:20:05not the asshole for kicking that douche bag out of your house. Probably the
- 1:20:12mom, though I'm not gonna lie, are your The way you respond to
- 1:20:21the mother is very assholesh. Now, I want to say if that is
- 1:20:26all she said, didn't? Yes, you act like an asshole. But
- 1:20:29here's a question too. Okay, here are two questions I have one is
- 1:20:33that really all she wrote? The mother wrote? Secondly, how stoon was
- 1:20:38this after? That? Was my question because if it's like, if it's
- 1:20:42like a week day, okay, if it's late the day or the day
- 1:20:45after, it's like, what do you raise a fucking asshole? Yeah?
- 1:20:48Yeah, I get it. Motions are high. Emotions are very high.
- 1:20:54Motions are very his own ship onto it, just like he took the I
- 1:21:00am it, took the time to put where the fuck is the neighbor's kids
- 1:21:04like parents like what the f oh? Dude? Yeah, Like he's lucky
- 1:21:09that. I wish we had updates on this one, because like I want
- 1:21:13to know what the fuck happened as a result of that. Yeah, that's
- 1:21:15that's a fucking crime. That's gotta be some kind of a crime. I
- 1:21:20don't know what kind of crime. It is, no no ship. I
- 1:21:26just said that. Oh God, well done. Yeah, I think I
- 1:21:30think she's she made the remove getting out of the house. We don't know
- 1:21:35where that could have led. Maybe this guy's having a bit of like a
- 1:21:39mental breakdown and this just set off bigger again my children accidentally hitting a football
- 1:21:46in your your yard, Like, come the fuck on right, Like what
- 1:21:51year is it? How old are you deal with it? Like there's like
- 1:21:56like there's so much like there's so much other reasons to like not that you
- 1:21:59should at the expert was like there's so many other like worst things in this
- 1:22:01world. It's like, yeah, like somebody break in the windshield and slice
- 1:22:04and all you're tired or putting any freezing your fucking engine. Holy sh I
- 1:22:12goess, I'm saying someone trying to kill you with shellfish went a little strong
- 1:22:17of the mom who knows what their life has been like. And that guy's
- 1:22:21brother is the guy who's in the corner at that weddy watching money in the
- 1:22:24back. I can't believe Pross just gonna win the ship. God damn,
- 1:22:30what did you white have a football? Anyway? But yeah, that's one
- 1:22:33of my favorites. Just complete that ship behavior and uh top state ship.
- 1:22:40Oh god, I didn't even realize it. My bad. Alright, all
- 1:22:45right, you know what, in hindsight, I should have put that at
- 1:22:47story number two. Anyway, would you like to take us home on the
- 1:22:58last one? Here? Oh god? One second? Oh man, I'm
- 1:23:03trying to like, I'm like trying to comprehend what what you just told me?
- 1:23:08Okay? This one's only a stra page long. This one, I
- 1:23:11feel like it might be famous because it's got quite a lot of like traffic
- 1:23:16on it. I can't find the exact date. I couldn't find the data
- 1:23:27on this last one right there. Oh that last one was like four years
- 1:23:30ago. Yeah, this one I cannot find a data on. Okay,
- 1:23:32so me, me, me, me, me me, alright, this
- 1:23:43has been a fun podcast, but I forget this. It's been a long
- 1:23:45one too, man, Yeah, sorry, put it in the two A
- 1:23:47big deal, all right, it's been a while. Am I the asshole?
- 1:23:53I feel like I've heard this one? I don't remember, though?
- 1:23:55Am I the asshole for not having catering at my wedding? Not? No,
- 1:24:05I don't, I don't think so. I mean like it's gonna it's
- 1:24:11gonna depend on if you had a reception. If you have a reception,
- 1:24:15oh god, I'm sorry. Reception. You have a wedding and there's a
- 1:24:18reception and there's no food, Yes, I'm saying. That's what I'm saying.
- 1:24:23If there's a reception and you're just what just drinks, then I don't
- 1:24:27know, just like did you? I don't know. It's just it's it's
- 1:24:30it's just, it's just a private dinner between the bride and groom. Everyone's
- 1:24:33gonna watch a meat everybody, all right? Am I the answer for that?
- 1:24:39I have a catery in my wedding. Me female twenty eight and my
- 1:24:43fiance male thirty just got married two months ago? But can you hear me
- 1:24:46o kid by the way here? Okay? Sorry, all right, Uh,
- 1:24:50myself female twenty eight or fiance male thirty just got married two months ago
- 1:24:55and we had our dream wedding. All right, right, what you're in
- 1:24:59an asshole? Because dream wedding with no kid, no food? Okay?
- 1:25:03Everything? We hate eating. We're believing everything was perfect, and I mean
- 1:25:13everything. My parents already hate this fucking person. My parents and his parents
- 1:25:19helped us pay for a great chunk of the wedding, so we would be
- 1:25:24debt free and we are so eternally grateful for that. All right. Alrightyre,
- 1:25:29that's the first paragraph. You're an asshole. You didn't pay for the
- 1:25:31wedding, all right. The issue arose about a month and a half ago
- 1:25:40when my aunt started posting on Facebook how disappointed she was with the whole ord
- 1:25:45deal, and a few guests sided with her. Background. My fiance and
- 1:25:49I you ready for this? Oh God? Are huge Disney fans? No?
- 1:25:57And we traveled to Disney World as much as we we can throughout the
- 1:26:00year. Disney is such an important part not only to us but also our
- 1:26:04marriage. I think Patrick's understanding why I picked this one issue was with our
- 1:26:13decision to not offer catering services and bar services at our wedding due to routing
- 1:26:20the money towards having a wedding. Are you ready for this? Let me
- 1:26:28repeat what I'm about to. Let me repeat that first part, because I
- 1:26:30was about to tell you why there was no food or drinks at the wedding.
- 1:26:33I can already guess. But yeah, the issue, what is your
- 1:26:36guess? I guess it was just because it was too fucking expensive. Nope,
- 1:26:42The issue was with our decision to not offer either catering services or bar
- 1:26:46services at our wedding was due to routing them that money towards having a wedding
- 1:26:54Minnie and Mickey Mouse make appearances at our special day. You've gotta be fucking
- 1:27:00you've gotta be oh Disney adults. So instead of food susteness and is it
- 1:27:19a feeding your families, we need to grown adults in giant mouse costumes is
- 1:27:28perfect. Also, dress up in wedding attire just because al right pictures.
- 1:27:34God. The cost to have both Mini and Mickey Mouse for a good chunk
- 1:27:41of time thirty minutes, to be exact, was almost exactly what our parents
- 1:27:48allotted for our catering budgets. You have got to be kidding me, sidebar.
- 1:27:56I can attest having characters is not fucking cheap. I did not do
- 1:28:01it, but it was offered to which I said, fuck no, like
- 1:28:08a rational human being, like like, oh my god, yeah, so
- 1:28:19I didn't read this. I going out to the foe. I just read
- 1:28:23it, okay, because they have both Many and Mickey Mouse for a good
- 1:28:27chunk of time thirty minutes, to be exactly, was almost exactly what our
- 1:28:30parents allotted for our catering budget. So before you continue, I was gonna
- 1:28:36say the aunt who posted on Facebook about being disappointed. At first, I
- 1:28:41was gonna be like, well, that's petty as hell, she's an asshole.
- 1:28:44But then after reading the rest of it, I was like, no,
- 1:28:45she's fully justified. I would I would, I would, I would.
- 1:28:49Oh my god, all right, like they're fucking bullshit. Okay,
- 1:28:54so sorry, we scheduled all right. So you know, like I said,
- 1:28:57thirty minutes was almost exactly what our parents alloted. So you might like,
- 1:29:00that's what into like, what three four hours? So that's with food
- 1:29:03drinks like we usual, it's pretty much drink for at least three hours.
- 1:29:06So for thirty minutes to have Mickey Mini appear, that's what That's what a
- 1:29:12bar cost. Sybar, by the way, that's by the way, sidebar.
- 1:29:16This information you can't find our line and sidebar. This is all fucking
- 1:29:20true because came and I. We have a book where it tells you how
- 1:29:25this ship, how this ship is broken down. My cost having talked to
- 1:29:28you about like what the cost was for the bar, and shit, that's
- 1:29:30insane to just have two giant lice to to to to college interns and fucking
- 1:29:38costumes. Alright, ready, all right? So uh so we scheduled their
- 1:29:45appearance during our first dance and our wedding for photos forging serve food. However,
- 1:29:55though there were plenty of facilities at the venue where people could go eat.
- 1:30:01Oh so yeah, go take go, go, my parents were still
- 1:30:08very sup I what the fuck are you doing? I know I'm talking Disney.
- 1:30:12Sorry, my parents were very supportive and yeah, my parents were very
- 1:30:16supportive of us, but everyone else is being very passive aggressive about it on
- 1:30:20Facebook? Am I the asshole? There are two edits which I will read
- 1:30:27in a minute. One hundred percent yes, either one hundred percent yes actually
- 1:30:32correction, it doesn't mention the fiance's parents, so yourself the poster, your
- 1:30:40your now husband, and then your parents so your mom and dad. Yea,
- 1:30:43the four of you. You're all assholes. We have a four hundred
- 1:30:46percent asshole fuck face you damn Hi. Yeah. I cannot express enough how
- 1:30:58frustrated I would be if you did this at your wedding just before today.
- 1:31:02Let's just say this, and I know where we're going a little lot.
- 1:31:04It's fine. I'm bring this into two parts I appreciate everyone who's stayed a
- 1:31:08land this far. Hope you enjoyed this content. We'll definitely do this again
- 1:31:10because I'm I'm literally tears of my face of a criands. I'm laughing so
- 1:31:13hard. Patrick, You're the best man in my wedding. Loved having you.
- 1:31:18There was a great fucking time. Oh yeah, best time in my
- 1:31:21life. That's my point where I was going. Okay, I have said
- 1:31:26on this podcast before, kids don't know what that don't know what the future
- 1:31:30holds with me and kids. I've said that before. However, I have
- 1:31:33said it when it comes to kids, I will never name a kid.
- 1:31:36Fucking the call because tropical storm the call. Yeah, dude, made that
- 1:31:45week very interesting because we came out of nowhere. Because I'm never I'll never
- 1:31:49get Sunday or Saturday afternoon, Saturday, Saturday night, had dinner with Kaylen,
- 1:31:54checking the weather. Weather looks perfect. Obviously, you can't see a
- 1:31:58week ahead. You can't predict that is what it is. Sunday, okay,
- 1:32:01Wednesday, Tuesday be a little bit cloudy. Monday, huh, okay,
- 1:32:06I got a little rain, no problem. Tuesday fucking nights. I
- 1:32:12leave Wednesday morning Oh, there's a fucking hurricane. Guess what happened. I
- 1:32:18contact the whole wedding party. Some of them, like my good friend here,
- 1:32:24changed their flight schedule. Everyone made it. Everyone got there. Day
- 1:32:29of the wedding. Look out the window. There's a giant fucking fog.
- 1:32:34Get asked, do we want to move the wedding inside? No, we
- 1:32:39want to do it outside because that's what we paid for, because we got
- 1:32:42We got married on at the or the Grand floating hotel at the boat dock.
- 1:32:46We're gonna see the castle in the background because thank you, because our
- 1:32:49original venue, they decided to build a hotel right on fucking top of But
- 1:32:58despiteal vet we get married. The fog clears, as the wedding coordinator said,
- 1:33:02we got the damn shot. Hell yes, hotter than ship out though,
- 1:33:06because you couldn't plan it better, I'm gonna plan it better in terms
- 1:33:11of the view the weather, though he could have been better. This this
- 1:33:15what all that? Did I not feed you nor provide you drinks? Dude,
- 1:33:23I was gonna say if you had pulled some track that statesman question?
- 1:33:27Well another question, did we not drink fucking heavily? The whole fucking weekend,
- 1:33:34we drink enough. I thought I saw Mickey most like, dude,
- 1:33:42if you had pulled, you would not be not be Oh my god,
- 1:33:46I'd be like every time you'd asked me, I was like, yeah,
- 1:33:48I'd love to do the podcast. You remember that time at your wedding when
- 1:33:51when you had Mickey Mouse show up and photos and my beautiful, my god,
- 1:33:57god, my gorgeous bride, and I took of all the photos took
- 1:34:00that weekend. One of my absolute favorite photos. What is it? It's
- 1:34:03me behind my best man and my now wife. He is being a gentleman
- 1:34:09holding open the bust gate door. Great fucking whatever the thing for her so
- 1:34:13she could walk through, and he's got her arm in, arm locked,
- 1:34:15and he's looking back at you, not looking back, he's kind of looking
- 1:34:17back in my direction, and how does my best man look fucking hammered?
- 1:34:26And it's great, fucking one of my favorite pictures from the weekend. Despite
- 1:34:30all that still fed, you still gave you drinks. Actually, let me
- 1:34:34retract that too. We had a rehearsal, you had drinks and food there
- 1:34:40also because I didn't order enough pizzas, you were so kind of to order
- 1:34:44more pizzas. Then we had our wedding and there was food and drinks there.
- 1:34:49Then at the end of the night, we rented on a spot to
- 1:34:53have a fireworks show. Well not we didn't do the fun We didn't fucking
- 1:34:56purchase the fireworks, just right down on the spot so we can watch the
- 1:34:58fireworks at fucking Disney. But we also provided more drinks and more nourishments.
- 1:35:04And guess what, everyone had a good fucking time. So hammerd from the
- 1:35:10reception that I showed up late to the you you, But then we went
- 1:35:15up to the top of the World Bar and had a good time up there.
- 1:35:18I was sick, as that's a great place. By the way,
- 1:35:21if you're ever there, you get up and get up there. It's very
- 1:35:24hard to get up. It's not hard to get there. You gotta have
- 1:35:26a certain way to get up there. Thankfully my father in law mother in
- 1:35:29law have that sure able to do that. Thank you both for that.
- 1:35:30But yes, okay, lunch, let me get to these edits really quick.
- 1:35:35Okay, oh god, I can't wait. Oh. By the way,
- 1:35:39this is how they listened. Edit number one. JESU info to those
- 1:35:45asking if to those asking if the guests were warned. We clearly outlined in
- 1:35:53the invitations that there was food available at the venue. We didn't exactly they'll
- 1:35:58spell out every restaurant menu, but this was certainly mentioned. There was also
- 1:36:02vending machines available throughout. Now, let me just say this, I don't
- 1:36:08know exactly where they got married at Disney World. That doesn't specify. I
- 1:36:12can tell you I'm pretty well, I'm pretty much have the entire landscape of
- 1:36:17that place now by the back of my hand. There's some places I don't
- 1:36:19know enough about, but I have a pretty good understanding. No like what
- 1:36:26like a fucking prison break, and I put the entire fucking landscape of Disney
- 1:36:29World in my body so I can break it and out. Anyway, Great,
- 1:36:31that's a good show, by the way, got weird towards the end.
- 1:36:33Anyway, I can tell you this right now. Yes, there are
- 1:36:38a lot of food venue places. There are a lot of places you get
- 1:36:41a drink, but they cost a fucking arm and a leg. Plus when
- 1:36:45you go to a wedding, the last thing I want to do, especially
- 1:36:46I have a kid. Go hey, Timmy, I'm gonna grab you.
- 1:36:50Now, let's walk all the way over here to get some fucking chicken fingers.
- 1:36:56By the way, I am in a suit and it's fucking ninety four
- 1:36:58degrees. Jesus Christ. All right. Edit number two, and I haven't.
- 1:37:03I didn't read past the part other than like the whole uh mickey and
- 1:37:06mini thing. So the part where I started dying laughing, that was a
- 1:37:11live act. That was a live actual reaction lab because I did not know
- 1:37:15that was coming. Edit number two. For everyone saying that it's too much
- 1:37:19for thirty minutes, I want to clarify it was actually two to thirty minute
- 1:37:26sessions on different days. Oh my god, would you like to know the
- 1:37:30cost of one session? They posted? Oh they did. And again,
- 1:37:38I don't know how old this story is, but I can tell you.
- 1:37:41I don't remember the exact amount, but I can tell you I think this
- 1:37:43is kind of close. Oh my god, twenty seven to fifty oh by
- 1:37:49the way, by the way, by the way, Regimond nearly two thousand,
- 1:37:53seven hundred and fifty dollars plus also like you know you what the fuck?
- 1:38:01God damn. Even Oliver is like, what the fuck are you?
- 1:38:08Oh my god? Oh man, So, ladies and gentlemen, we have
- 1:38:16discussed a decent amount on these two episodes, and I appreciate this is not
- 1:38:21my sign up, but I appreciate your time you spend, not just with
- 1:38:27this podcast or with any other episodes of Texan Tina, especially these last two.
- 1:38:30But when you come to the conclusion this bride's an asshole, oh my
- 1:38:38god. Again, there are very basic rules of a wedding. Okay,
- 1:38:43as Patrick said, if you have a reception, you have some type of
- 1:38:46food, you have some type of drink. You don't have to Okay,
- 1:38:50Look, I'm a guy that goes like, look, I'm always thinking you're
- 1:38:53doing what you should have help you should the one thing you should at least
- 1:38:56do it or what is as have an open bar. That's just how I
- 1:38:59was ring. But I've been to weddings where that's not the case because it's
- 1:39:01just like, look like it just doesn't feel it's like, hey, you
- 1:39:04know what, at least you got food because imagine because again here's the thing,
- 1:39:09perfect example, Patrick Conn attest to this. Okay, everyone in our
- 1:39:12weddy could attest to this. They had known, we had made everyone aware
- 1:39:16for that, we were for years. This is what we were doing.
- 1:39:23Why so they can have time to plan, save, do all that stuff,
- 1:39:29because we understand traveling for a wedding is not exactly easy. Like,
- 1:39:32for example, I have friends of mine who I don't I don't know who
- 1:39:36they went to. They went to a wedding similar in Florida. They had
- 1:39:41a four month notice, and of course the four of them were very pissed
- 1:39:46off. O man, oh jinks. No, it's it's insane. And
- 1:39:59now Oliver is knocking down one of my phone goes, what the fuck?
- 1:40:01Well, maybe that's a cue if you or anybody else you know, is
- 1:40:09an asshole to make sure, yeah, make sure you post about it.
- 1:40:15It's great content for podcasts, just like this. Yes, I'm saying like
- 1:40:18this did not feel like two hours. Well we almost got two and a
- 1:40:21half hours here. Yeah. Yeah, so I think it was great.
- 1:40:26I think we should do it again. I agree we should try to find
- 1:40:29some themes or maybe we should try to find some other uh you know,
- 1:40:32threads online to uh pull from, because there's a lot there's a lot of
- 1:40:36subreddit's not your thing about the asshole relationship advice? You can do a relationship
- 1:40:43you know, here's the Here's the one thing I can say though about all
- 1:40:45of these assholes. Communication for all these apparently was lacking. Absolutely had they
- 1:40:53disapprove their communication, because here's the thing, like if I like, I'm
- 1:40:56not gonna lie like if I do, like, hey, we're getting married
- 1:40:57at Disney. By the way, we're not having food or drinks unless it's
- 1:41:00like obviously like something like really close like yourself, like a family member.
- 1:41:02It's you know what I mind, gottness, I'm past on it all.
- 1:41:09It's doesn't work for me. Brother, This has been great. I hope
- 1:41:16you had a good time to check. I had a blast so from not
- 1:41:23to as well. I could be an asshole, uh, from guys who

- 1:43:12might be faking it. Communicate with your relatives when it comes to wills.
- 1:43:17Oh, and last, but not least, feed your fucking wedding guests.
- 1:43:20Take care, guys,
