Powerball Pushes Higher, Ohio wins 1 million dollars, Saturday jackpot reaches 856 million dollars ... and more for August 6th · The Lottery Rundown: Powerball & Mega Millions Results, Trends and News

Powerball Pushes Higher! This is The Lottery Rundown for Thursday August 6th Powerball drew Wednesday night with 14, 20, 59, 60, 61, and Powerball 25, with a 2X multiplier. Nobody hit the jackpot, but one happy ticket holder in Ohio grabbed 1 million dollars, which is a fine way to become suddenly very interested in calm breathing. The white balls stacked high, with 59, 60, and 61 all landing together, while 61 keeps standing out as one of the hotter Powerball white balls over the last six years. Saturday’s jackpot is an estimated 856 million dollars, with a 372 million dollar cash value. That could buy a private island with a backup island for emotional support. This run is now 40 drawings and 95 days without a jackpot winner, longer than usual and around the 86th percentile of recent gaps. Moving to Mega Millions, the last draw was Tuesday, August 4, with 14, 21, 51, 55, 65, and Mega Ball 21. No jackpot winner landed there either, as Mega Millions keeps rebuilding after its July 28 jackpot hit. The number 51 repeated from the previous draw, while 65 sits near the colder end with 37 appearances over the last six years. Do you think 51 already has a seat reserved for Friday? The next draw is Friday, with an estimated 70 million dollar jackpot and a 29.7 million dollar cash value. This jackpot run is only two drawings old, so compared with Powerball’s marathon, Mega Millions is still stretching in the lobby.
