- 0:00Speaker 1: From a Chicago standpoint, this is what you want to see.
- 0:03Speaker 1: You want to see this wall, This position in itself
- 0:07Speaker 1: is the reason why Chicago is having success on offense.
- 0:12Speaker 2: What's up, good people. I'm a Reed Hall of Famer.
- 0:15Speaker 1: This is the blueprint presented by Microsoft Copilot, an official
- 0:19Speaker 1: AI sponsor of the NFL. We're talking about the Chicago
- 0:22Speaker 1: Bears coming off a big win against.
- 0:24Speaker 2: The Green Bay Packers. As I give you the blueprint
- 0:26Speaker 2: on how to.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Stop the Chicago Bears, let's go to Jesse Bates and
- 0:30Speaker 1: see what he got to say.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Thank you. When you talk about Ben Johnson, you think
- 0:34Speaker 3: about all the trick plays and all the creativity that
- 0:37Speaker 3: he's done. People don't just line up in two by
- 0:40Speaker 3: two or three by one formations anymore. For us the
- 0:43Speaker 3: defenders to have us think and communicate, talk about the
- 0:47Speaker 3: different run gap that you would have off of motion,
- 0:50Speaker 3: those motions that it helps them collect information and ultimately
- 0:53Speaker 3: helps them put them in.
- 0:54Speaker 2: The best call to be successful.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Ben Johnson, I think he walked into a perfect situation
- 0:59Speaker 3: with eight young quarterback who can play off time and
- 1:03Speaker 3: he can deliver the ball on time as well. If
- 1:05Speaker 3: that type of offense is very complicated to go against.
- 1:08Speaker 2: That's what makes their offense.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Just what he was saying, you know, make sure that
- 1:13Speaker 1: we align fast and paying attention to the shifts and
- 1:17Speaker 1: emotions because that can get guys thinking, you.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Know, and off track.
- 1:21Speaker 1: So let's go to Coppo AI power technology that the
- 1:25Speaker 1: pros use on the sideline. Check out the Bears and
- 1:28Speaker 1: see how they're able to get their offense rolling, getting
- 1:31Speaker 1: moving down the field.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Here quarter second, let's.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Go down first and the play already pop up. Gotta
- 1:39Speaker 1: be quick on the sideline, plays happen, quick turnos happen,
- 1:43Speaker 1: see an image, and get back on the field. So
- 1:47Speaker 1: Chicago is moving the ball and condensed formations coming out
- 1:50Speaker 1: of the first play. Condensed formations force the defense to
- 1:54Speaker 1: be in positions that they don't want to be. That's
- 1:57Speaker 1: what you can see Caleb C's one, two, three, four, five, six,
- 2:02Speaker 1: seven eight. Like I said, condensed formation forces the defense
- 2:07Speaker 1: to show their hand. That's eight people in the box
- 2:10Speaker 1: that's stopping to run. So are you running the ball
- 2:12Speaker 1: against eight? Are you passing? The coach look like they
- 2:15Speaker 1: want to run the ball. I mean, look at that.
- 2:19Speaker 1: If you're running it, this is what you want to see.
- 2:22Speaker 1: You want to see this wall, right, you want to
- 2:27Speaker 1: see all those jerseys coming back. Get his guy to
- 2:29Speaker 1: the ball. He can wind back even past this guy.
- 2:33Speaker 1: This position in itself is the reason why Chicago is
- 2:37Speaker 1: having success on offense. There's no reason why you shouldn't
- 2:41Speaker 1: get positive yards on this. You got to know part
- 2:43Speaker 1: of that success is obviously the CEO, quarterback Caleb running
- 2:48Speaker 1: the offense and Ben Johnson, you know, calling those plays.
- 2:53Speaker 1: But like DeAndre Swift player right, you can't run the offense.
- 2:58Speaker 2: You ain't got no run game.
- 3:00Speaker 1: I'm getting excited, so now I want to go to
- 3:02Speaker 1: the video, man, to see how it pans out. They're
- 3:05Speaker 1: running to them and cutting back away. Man, I told
- 3:08Speaker 1: you I wanted to see this play. This is why
- 3:10Speaker 1: Chicago is having success. Look how many people move for
- 3:14Speaker 1: Philly when that guy shift in motion. You want to
- 3:17Speaker 1: minimize this on defense. Minimize how many people got to
- 3:20Speaker 1: move when a guy on offense moves. All these guys
- 3:25Speaker 1: shifting not getting comfortable. By the time they get comfortable
- 3:30Speaker 1: and recognize the player is already outside the backside. They're
- 3:34Speaker 1: using a little bit of deception on offense, which everybody
- 3:39Speaker 1: does and it works. So you know, the blueprint to
- 3:42Speaker 1: stop these guys is, you know, let's movement, Like we
- 3:46Speaker 1: need to minimize how many guys are moving when they motion,
- 3:50Speaker 1: you know, as a defense, as a coach on defense,
- 3:54Speaker 1: make it simple for us on defense.
- 3:56Speaker 2: So we could get lined up and we can play fast.
- 3:59Speaker 1: But when you got to got a bunch of guys moving,
- 4:01Speaker 1: shifting around, it's so easy for somebody to mess up
- 4:06Speaker 1: in the ball, to go ten twenty yards down the field.
- 4:09Speaker 1: We're gonna stick to the Bears condensed formation again. They
- 4:13Speaker 1: motion to see if you're in the zone. They knew
- 4:16Speaker 1: Philly was rocking the safeties. I really believe that they
- 4:20Speaker 1: gained plan these guys. They knew that they were dropping
- 4:24Speaker 1: the safety down, like this safety should slow down. This
- 4:28Speaker 1: guy is too fast coming in. He's too fast. You
- 4:32Speaker 1: see this big old gap right here, that's where that
- 4:35Speaker 1: safety should fit. But he's so fast.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Look at that.
- 4:40Speaker 1: See how fast he's coming down gap protected. He can't
- 4:43Speaker 1: go there, goat protected, goat protected, goat protected.
- 4:49Speaker 2: His responsibilities here.
- 4:50Speaker 1: But being he's so fast coming up like a linebacker,
- 4:55Speaker 1: he cannot make that play.
- 4:57Speaker 2: You see that he blocked himself.
- 5:00Speaker 1: That safety blocked himself, and he's not where he's supposed
- 5:03Speaker 1: to be. Like I said, the blueprint ain't always about scheme.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Sometimes your players got to know where to be at,
- 5:09Speaker 1: be in the right spot, being your gap. Have some patience,
- 5:13Speaker 1: you know, don't move so fast. And we have another
- 5:17Speaker 1: video here that's a hell of a run. Oh man, man, it's.
- 5:23Speaker 2: A hell of a run.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Its hell of a gap scheme, a bunch formation, condenced
- 5:27Speaker 1: formations for a reason is to show that defense. Your
- 5:30Speaker 1: defense got to show your face Chicago motion. When the
- 5:36Speaker 1: guy in motions, those gaps change. When the guy pulls,
- 5:40Speaker 1: the gap changed. So guys got to move. You're going
- 5:45Speaker 1: to see a motion and then you see a puller.
- 5:50Speaker 1: When that pull happens, the gaps change. The safeties need
- 5:55Speaker 1: to see this. The linebackers need to see this because
- 5:58Speaker 1: he needs to move over. That safety shouldn't be doing
- 6:02Speaker 1: that guy's job. He should be on the outside. He
- 6:05Speaker 1: should see that puller coming. These guys should be yelling pull, pull, pull,
- 6:10Speaker 1: highway and something like that to get those guys to
- 6:13Speaker 1: go to the opposite side. The gap is about to change,
- 6:17Speaker 1: and now they see these guys off. You got two
- 6:19Speaker 1: people in one guy because they didn't see that didn't
- 6:23Speaker 1: recognize the puller defense.
- 6:24Speaker 2: You gotta communicate.
- 6:26Speaker 1: You gotta communicate Guys bumping, guys moving, But nobody's talking
- 6:30Speaker 1: to each other.
- 6:30Speaker 2: There's not a play on defense.
- 6:32Speaker 1: If somebody motions, nobody should be saying nothing. The linebackers
- 6:36Speaker 1: should be saying something, and the safety. The safety should
- 6:40Speaker 1: be talking. But they already rock and roll it, you know.
- 6:43Speaker 1: So the blueprint ain't always schematic. Sometimes it's your players.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Sometimes your players are doing the wrong thing. Sometimes your
- 6:50Speaker 1: players have poor technique. You know, if I was the
- 6:53Speaker 1: Rams preparing for the Chicago Bears in the divisional round,
- 6:57Speaker 1: my blueprint, stop the Chicago Bears offenses.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Put your hands on their receivers.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Put your hands on the receivers, get lined up, communication
- 7:05Speaker 1: on defense as much as you can. Because of the shifts, emotions.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Know where you're supposed to be. Bwie's supposed to be.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Play some football, all right,
