Transcript
- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Apparently a lot of you have seen the video footage of the crucifix falling from the wall onto the priest, taking him out mid-service.
- 0:07SPEAKER_01: Like it literally crushes his skull.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: Oh my God, Merle, what the hell did he do?
- 0:12SPEAKER_01: Oh my God.
- 0:13SPEAKER_01: Also, this one from Whitney.
- 0:15SPEAKER_01: Okay, so did no one sit through Mass and ever think, what if the fixture comes down?
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: Oh, I thought it.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: I thought the chandelier.
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: I swear, as God is my witness, because I told you I've spent a lot of time on an altar.
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: I mean, back as an altar boy back in the day.
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: Let me tell you, I was side hustling before it was the thing to do.
- 0:30SPEAKER_01: Were you making money?
- 0:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 0:31SPEAKER_00: You know, uh well, so let me explain how.
- 0:34SPEAKER_01: Uh so that's getting your hand in the collection basket.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: Oh, you're damn right.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: No, there'll be a third collection today for me, right?
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: Um, because every Catholic Mass now has two collections.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: Uh but uh so the way it would work is it we would do the Sunday Masses, right?
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: Or Saturday afternoon, whatever you know it was.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: Uh, but then you sometimes could sign up to be called for weddings and funerals.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: You wouldn't really get paid for the funerals, but the weddings date slides you a little something.
- 1:00SPEAKER_01: Why not get paid for the funerals?
- 1:01SPEAKER_01: Funerals, what a I mean, that's a big business.
- 1:04SPEAKER_01: They're so they're so expensive.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but it's the family.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: They're not that they're in mourning and sorrow.
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: They're not thinking, well, let's keep these people.
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: But the people getting married, they did.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: Do you know I alter boyed for my third grade teacher?
- 1:16SPEAKER_01: Oh, that's really precious.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: No clue if they're still together.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: But either way, I love that.
- 1:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:21SPEAKER_01: But also, I love how you're like, they're still in mourning.
- 1:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but do you know Fred who owns like, you know, A B funeral home?
- 1:27SPEAKER_01: Do you think he cares?
- 1:28SPEAKER_01: No, he's taking all your money for the casket, for the linen.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: Hey, he's not giving any money to the altar servers, you know.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: So, that all being said, I used to look, because you know, you you get these times during mass where you're just looking around, right?
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: You know, and yeah, the thought has happened more than once about like one because those are giant chandeliers, too.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: And then it would take out like five rows.
- 1:51SPEAKER_01: I bet you five pews.
- 1:52SPEAKER_01: I bet you it's probably at least 400 pounds.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: Oh, at least.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: At least.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: At least.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: So, and that crucifix was something else.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: And then this, this Tara said this, it was during the time uh of the mass that you'd be making the bread into the body of Christ.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: So she knew she watched it.
- 2:10SPEAKER_01: He's just getting there sooner.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: This is just, I mean, it was nuts.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: So I I can't believe how many of you have saw that saw that already.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: I want you to help settle this debate.
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: So let's pretend I'm gonna use Scott and Tiffany for this.
- 2:21SPEAKER_01: So Scott is out and he calls Tiffany and he says, Do you need anything?
- 2:26SPEAKER_01: I'm on my way home.
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: And she says, No, I'm good.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: Common common question.
- 2:30SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 2:31SPEAKER_01: No, I'm good, thank you.
- 2:32SPEAKER_01: So then he shows up, Scott shows up with a bag full of Chick-fil-A with a sandwich, one sandwich, one fry, and one drink.
- 2:41SPEAKER_01: Was he wrong?
- 2:42SPEAKER_01: Was Scott Fried wrong for not saying, I'm going to Chick-fil-A.
- 2:47SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 2:48SPEAKER_01: Do you need anything?
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's you're absolutely wrong.
- 2:50SPEAKER_01: Well, at that point, I I think I would say, half that sandwich is mine, half those fries are mine, and I'll take a couple sips of diet coat.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: You, you, which you'd have the right to.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: No, you there's a difference between uh, do you need anything?
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: Which now your brain goes to, I was at Wagman's, I was at Walmart, I was whatever.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: Do we need Clorox wipes?
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: Do we need that?
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: Your brain's not focused on the food part of it.
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: If you are, I'm with the kid, this recently happened.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: I'm with the kids, we're getting something to eat.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: We're at Oka.
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: Uh, you know, oh, thanks for asking.
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: Whoops.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: Uh, you know, and that's where I'm like, well, I'm here.
- 3:26SPEAKER_01: And it doesn't matter if it's at dinner or if you're a Duncan getting donuts.
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: Hey, I'm going to Dunkin'.
- 3:32SPEAKER_01: You have to be specific.
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: Right, right.
- 3:34SPEAKER_01: Do you want a donut?
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: If you are, there's a big difference between do you need anything versus I'm going to do this.
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: Now, sometimes she'll be very clear.
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm like, hey, I'm uh let's say I was picking up a prescription and some produce.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: It's common enough of a thing I do.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: She'll text, hey, can you grab me some Diet Cokes on the way back?
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because I didn't know her supply level, you know.
- 3:56SPEAKER_01: I mean, it was but this is you calling her, hey, do you need anything?
- 4:02SPEAKER_01: I'm out.
- 4:03SPEAKER_01: It's not showing up with Chick-fil-A.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: It's not the worst offense, but it's not a defense to say, Well, I asked if you wanted anything because you never planted the seed in my head that you were gonna get food.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: Right, right, right.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: I thought it was a good thing.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: Who gets food for themselves and doesn't think of their partner?
- 4:19SPEAKER_01: Oh, I bet you more people than you think.
- 4:22SPEAKER_01: Well, I mean, okay, then don't tell them.
- 4:24SPEAKER_01: Just eat it out.
- 4:25SPEAKER_00: Right, eat it in the car.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
