- 0:18Hello, and welcome to episode 289 of the All Systems Go sports
- 0:24Betting podcast powered by Rhythm.
- 0:27I'm your host, Josh Applebaum. What's going on, everyone?
- 0:35Happy Friday. Our work week is coming to an
- 0:38end. The month of May is coming to an
- 0:41end. Feel like it went by in the
- 0:42blink of an eye. But I guess that's that's the
- 0:44way it goes when you put your head down and keep grinding
- 0:46every day in the sports betting arena.
- 0:49But as we almost turn the page here to June, before you know,
- 0:52it'll be 4th of July, Nathan's hot dog eating contest.
- 0:55And then it'll be the kind of the winding down of summer or
- 0:58summer, you know, hasn't even started.
- 0:59Really, before you know it, we're going to have NFL back in
- 1:02our lives, college football. And of course, between now and
- 1:05then, we're going to keep grinding MLB, which is where we
- 1:08like to maximize our edge. So today on a big Friday, I do
- 1:11have a three pack of MLB sweats for you.
- 1:14All three here are some good sharp line moves.
- 1:16And then I also wanted to use one of the games as an example
- 1:20of how to use the odds logic live odds page to your advantage
- 1:24because there was a game that I was looking at and like it only
- 1:26moved like $0.05. And I'm like, OK, I kind of like
- 1:29it. It's a lean.
- 1:30But then I saw it. Damn, just boom, shoot up,
- 1:34pardon my French there, shoot up here, 10 cents, $0.15 and it was
- 1:38coming from two of the market setting books.
- 1:40I'll tell you who they are in a second.
- 1:42And really right after that I had about a one minute 32nd
- 1:47window to jump on that line move before the whole market got
- 1:50adjusted. So we'll talk about that because
- 1:53I always want to give you guys tips to use the Odds Logic
- 1:55platform to your advantage. Reminder, you can always sign up
- 1:58for a 7 day free trial and 50% off your first month of Odds
- 2:01Logic just by going to this special link, Odds
- 2:04logic.com/josh 123. So with a three pack of MB
- 2:09sweats for today as we steam into the weekend, I also wanted
- 2:12to mention last night, hey, not a bad winning night. 2 and 1 +
- 2:150.6 units had a nice hit there with the the Rays getting it
- 2:20done for the team. They had a lead and threw up 3
- 2:22nothing. Then they kind of blew it was 3
- 2:24to 2 and then they absolutely went crazy with the bats late in
- 2:27the game. Ended up winning pretty easily.
- 2:30Final score 13 to 3. So that was nice to see.
- 2:32Remember that was kind of a old school reverse line move.
- 2:35Houston Open like -120 got down to -115 -, 110 even though it
- 2:40DraftKings where we like to kind of gauge where the public is.
- 2:43You had nearly 75% of bats going with the Stroh.
- 2:46So Tampa came through also had a nice winner.
- 2:48These are rare. You got to you got to enjoy it
- 2:50when it happens. A 12 nothing win.
- 2:52The Toronto Blue Jays with good steam in their favor.
- 2:55Remember we saw them go from like -140 up to -165 and they
- 3:00got off to I think it was an 11 nothing lead in the second
- 3:02inning. So that was always great to see
- 3:04what we call a rocking chair winner when you can sit on the
- 3:07porch like your granddad with some lemonade and just sit back,
- 3:11rocking chair, nice breeze in your face and you're up 11.
- 3:13Nothing in a second. Anything sounds great to see.
- 3:16And then the frustrating one was the Seattle Mariners.
- 3:19Jesus, the Seattle Mariners, they were down 2O.
- 3:22They finally tied it up. They had a chance to win at
- 3:25bottom of the ninth. Obviously they didn't.
- 3:26They go to X trainings and then they get their faces ripped off.
- 3:29Washington puts up, what was it, like, six runs in the 10th
- 3:32inning. So we can't win them all.
- 3:34But as always, guys, 3 plays eek out two in one days, as many as
- 3:37we can throughout the course of a long, arduous up and down
- 3:40baseball season. That's really the way I approach
- 3:43betting. I know a lot of people like to
- 3:45parlay. Obviously this pod, we're not
- 3:47big fans of parlays because they're basically the penny slot
- 3:49to the sports book. You have the public keep playing
- 3:52them thinking they're going to win when in reality the only
- 3:54winner is the house. That slowly quietly makes a
- 3:57killing off of parlays, especially same game parlays.
- 4:00I was getting when I was researching some some stats from
- 4:04the Nevada Gaming Commission for my new book coming out, the NFL
- 4:07sharp betting Playbook, which again, you can pre-order a new
- 4:10copy on Amazon.com. But basically the Nevada Gaming
- 4:13Commission, which all the Nevada books have to report all of
- 4:16their winnings and earnings and they provide a whole percentage.
- 4:19That's basically the percentage of money the households on to
- 4:22after they've paid out all the bets and settled all the all the
- 4:25money. It's about 5% for regular bet.
- 4:28So every dollar bet the households on to $0.05 for just
- 4:31a straight regular sports bet parlays, it's about 30%.
- 4:35So they hold on to $0.30 on every dollar.
- 4:37And then same game parlays, they're relatively new.
- 4:40You see the books promote them all the time.
- 4:41Well, why do you think they promote them all the time?
- 4:43Because they're a huge, huge winner for the house.
- 4:46There are some new reports that show same game parlays are up to
- 4:49like 40 or even 4550% hold percentage for the book.
- 4:53So either way guys, to me with baseball, it's you're just
- 4:55trying to grind out these two in 1 + 1/4 unit night plus a unit
- 4:59night plus .75 unit nights and stack as many as you can
- 5:03throughout the course of the year.
- 5:04SO2 in 1 + 0.6 units last night. We're going to put that in our
- 5:08pocket, reinvest it into today's action and hopefully end the
- 5:11week on a hot note. So that being said, let's get
- 5:15right into it guys. I got a three pack of sweats for
- 5:17you and I want to start off with a 7 O 7:00 PM Eastern Time first
- 5:20pitch athletics visiting the Toronto Blue Jays.
- 5:23Obviously the Blue Jays had a big win for us last night, who
- 5:26are now 28 and 28 back to 500, winning 12 nothing for us, which
- 5:30was nice and again, don't take those for granted.
- 5:32Those rocking chair winners. They're they're beautiful,
- 5:34they're amazing. We always got a sweat and it's
- 5:37never easy. And we have a heart attack
- 5:38multiple times each game depending on what side you're
- 5:40on. Those are the ones you want to
- 5:42really, really come just to embrace and soak in because
- 5:44they're pretty rare. But anyway, covered for us as a
- 5:47-, 165 home favorite. Tonight's rematch.
- 5:50You have the A's who are 23 and 34 going with the lefty Jeffrey
- 5:54Springs. He's five and three, 3.97 ERA.
- 5:57You know the Blue Jays are going to counter with the righty Chris
- 6:00Bassett. He's four and three with a 3.38
- 6:03ERA. So what do you see across the
- 6:04market here? Well, this game open Toronto
- 6:07around a -, 150 home favorite athletics around a + 130 Rd.
- 6:11dog. So here's the game I wanted to
- 6:13use as an example to use odds logic in your favorite the odds
- 6:17logic live odds platform, obviously a partner with odds
- 6:20logic because I believe in the software.
- 6:21I use it for my own betting purposes and it's really great
- 6:25for monitoring the market. So why am I mentioning this?
- 6:27Well, it was earlier today. I don't, I don't know, maybe
- 6:30like 11:00 AM Eastern Time as I'm writing the Sharp report for
- 6:33visen.com, staring at the Odds Logic live odds page, and I saw
- 6:36Toronto go from like -150 up to -155 and I said, OK, you know,
- 6:42tiny little move. But, you know, maybe that's just
- 6:44a small adjustment. Maybe there's a lineup change or
- 6:46a little bit of money came in. When I'm betting baseball, I
- 6:49want bigger steam than that. And as I am looking at all the
- 6:52games, I see the live odds page from Odds Logic light up in red.
- 6:56Every single book, the column or basically the row for the A's
- 7:00Toronto game, every book starts to flash in red.
- 7:04So the first book that I see is Pinnacle.
- 7:06Pinnacle is one of your biggest, sharpest market setting books.
- 7:09Then of course, we got Chris right next to it.
- 7:11Chris or Bookmaker, another big global book circa right next to
- 7:14that Bet online is another respected global book.
- 7:17So as soon as I see those get lit up, there's like a domino
- 7:20effect, you know, Penny Chris circa Bet Online.
- 7:24And then you start to see your, you know, your DraftKings, your
- 7:26FanDuel, your bet MGM, your ESPN bet, your Fanatics, your all
- 7:30those different ones. But as soon as I saw that, I
- 7:32immediately saw Toronto get steamed.
- 7:34That's how you can identify steam with odds logic.
- 7:36So it went from -150 to -155 small little move and then boom,
- 7:41shot up to -165 -, 170. And as soon as I saw that, I
- 7:45said, OK, we got a lot of money flowing in here on Toronto.
- 7:49And once I saw that as well, I saw someone get up as high as
- 7:52like -180 some shops are even -185 right now.
- 7:56So I said, hey, we got steam on Toronto.
- 7:59That told me that a lot of big money came in on the Blue Jays
- 8:01and I was able to just jump on Toronto -175 before a lot of
- 8:06books even got as high as again -185 S.
- 8:09The key was steam is that you want to see it take place at the
- 8:12big market setting books. And then you know you have about
- 8:1530 seconds is a very, very short window to go pick off a slow
- 8:18moving book that hasn't adjusted yet.
- 8:20Because if you kind of think about the way sports books
- 8:23operate, the biggest market setting books, they set their
- 8:25own numbers and they take in sharp action and they basically
- 8:28move as soon as big money comes in.
- 8:31Then you have other books who are kind of copycat books where
- 8:34they're moving really not because they're taking in smart
- 8:36money, just because the whole markets moving and they don't
- 8:38want to be, they want to be with kind of the whole market
- 8:41movement. They don't want to, you know,
- 8:42still be at -150 when everyone else is -175 they're just going
- 8:46to quote UN quote move on air. So you're not moving on sharp
- 8:49money, but you're moving on. Just basically the odds makers
- 8:52adjusting it because they don't want to be an outlier.
- 8:55So with the odds logic, live odds page, as soon as I saw it
- 8:57get lit up in red, anytime anything changes in odd odds
- 9:01movement juice over, under total, whatever gets lit up in
- 9:04red. Then about a minute later it
- 9:06goes to green and then it goes to yellow.
- 9:08So basically using that kind of color-coded steam indicator, I
- 9:13saw that big money hit Toronto and that's it.
- 9:15That sold me on Toronto. So just wanted to mention that
- 9:17because that's one of the great ways that I like to use the Odds
- 9:19Logic Live Odds page again, give it a shot. 7 day free trial, 50%
- 9:23off your first month odds. logic.com/josh 123.
- 9:28Now back to our regular cap. Here again we saw the JS get
- 9:31steamed up -150 to -175 I got -175 at Bet MGM, but again,
- 9:36other books are as high as -180 -, 185.
- 9:40Then I look to the bet splits. So I start with that line move
- 9:43and then I look at how the splits are looking and they look
- 9:45very good at circa at circa 75% of money line bets.
- 9:49But over 96% of money line dollars are on the Toronto Blue
- 9:53Jays. So further validation that those
- 9:55bigger, sharper, low bets, higher dollars wise guy wagers
- 9:58are going with the Jays. Jays would have some classic
- 10:01system match for me. One would basically just be a
- 10:05non division favorite, lack of familiarity, benefiting quote UN
- 10:08quote the better team. I have another system here if
- 10:10you're a big favorite -170 or more with a line move in your
- 10:14favor, 126 and 5171 percent, 3% ROI.
- 10:19If you are a non division home favorite off a win with Steam,
- 10:22$0.10 or more, 91 and 4766% with a 4% ROI.
- 10:27So we're starting to layer on some system matches on the Jays.
- 10:30I'm going to bank on the Jays hopefully to continue hitting,
- 10:33but also hopefully continue to pitch well because if you'll get
- 10:36their last 10 games, the Jays have a team ERA of 2.15.
- 10:40Really good. Knock on wood, you'll get the
- 10:42other side. The A's team ERA of 7.38 in
- 10:45particular. If we got to sweat the pen in a
- 10:47close game, hopefully the the pen of the Jays can keep it
- 10:51locked down. 3.52 team ERA, 6 point O 7 for the Athletics.
- 10:56That's the third worst in baseball.
- 10:58Chris Bassett in particular, I want to back him.
- 11:00In regards of Bassett at home, he's been really good.
- 11:03Three and O 1.61 ERA. On the road he's one and three
- 11:074.86 ERA, but hey, he's at home here and the Jays, meanwhile are
- 11:11four and one in his last five starts.
- 11:13Then if you look at some other kind of supplementary splits
- 11:16categories, Toronto is hitting 255 against lefties facing
- 11:20springs here tonight. That's 8th best in baseball
- 11:23against S paws. They're also hitting 260 at
- 11:26home. That's the 7th best in baseball.
- 11:28So they're top ten against lefties, top ten at home.
- 11:30Meanwhile, the A's 246 against righties, 16th in baseball, 238
- 11:35on the road, 18th in baseball. So you add it all up here, guys,
- 11:39notice that big odds logic steam on Toronto.
- 11:42Great bet split out at Circa. Few system matches here.
- 11:45Hopefully Bassett can continue to pitch well at Rodger Center
- 11:48and again, home Rd. splits and lefty ready splits also lighting
- 11:52up on Toronto. Toronto.
- 11:54So they came through last night. I'm going to hope that they can
- 11:56do it again tonight. I got Toronto -175 and again
- 12:00shop around. But it should still be available
- 12:01at Bet MGM. Next one for you, let's go to
- 12:05Texas Saint Louis Cardinals facing off against the Texas
- 12:08Rangers. Now going in this one, we have
- 12:11the cards 32 and 24 just took two or three against the
- 12:15Orioles. They won that series finale 6 to
- 12:184 as -1 O five row dogs. On the other hand, the Rangers
- 12:2127 and 30, they just dropped two or three against the Jays.
- 12:24They lost that series finale to nothing as a -, 150 home
- 12:28favorite. So for tonight's Inter League
- 12:30series opener, the Cards are going to go with the lefty
- 12:32Michael Labarator. He's three and three, 2.73 ERA.
- 12:36You know, the Rangers are going to go with the righty Jack
- 12:38later. He's three and two, 4.17 ERA.
- 12:41So what do you see across the market for this one?
- 12:43Well, some good market movement toward the Cardinals.
- 12:46Give me the Cards in this one, guys.
- 12:48Cardinals open this game as low as a -, 125 -, 130 home Rd.
- 12:53favorite. And we actually saw the
- 12:55Cardinals get steamed up at one point all the way to run -140.
- 12:59They have come down a bit. So they're back down to around
- 13:02-130 -, 135 but basically open to current.
- 13:06It's all either stayed the same or move toward Saint Louis.
- 13:09So tells me that Cardinals here taking in some some sharp money.
- 13:12Now if you'll get DraftKings Cardinals 74% of money line
- 13:16bets, 82% of money line dollars at circa 60% of money line bets,
- 13:2279% of money line dollars. So both the national DK and the
- 13:27sharp desert circa showing good low bets, higher dollar split
- 13:30pro and Joe action in favor of Saint Louis.
- 13:33I do have three system matches lighting up here on the on the
- 13:36Cardinals. One is if you're rested
- 13:38favorite. So if your favorite who just had
- 13:40a day off, those teams are 81 and 4365 percent, 6% ROI.
- 13:46If you take it a step further and you have both teams who just
- 13:49had a day off, take the favorite, hey, that system's
- 13:52even better. 56 and 2867%, almost a 9% ROI.
- 13:58Also, if you look at some sweet spot interleague favorites -130
- 14:03to -160 those teams are 42 and 3563% with a 6% ROI.
- 14:09We do have Saint Louis with some interleague favorite value.
- 14:12So lack of familiarity benefiting quote UN quote the
- 14:15better team in Saint Louis. Hopefully Lebera tour again was
- 14:18pitched well. He's got a 2.22 ERA in five May
- 14:21starts. He's only giving up seven runs
- 14:23and 28.1 innings pitched. But I'm hoping also that the
- 14:27Cardinals offense can get to Jack later.
- 14:29Cardinals on the year hitting 262, they've scored 269 runs.
- 14:34Texas only hitting 219, scoring 180, five runs.
- 14:38And in particular, lighter. He's got those good bloodlines
- 14:41with his dad and his uncle pitching in the bigs, and he was
- 14:45a highly touted prospect. What was the second overall
- 14:47pick? Something like that.
- 14:48But he does have a 5.2 OERA and five May starts.
- 14:52He's giving up 16 earned runs and 27.2 innings pitched.
- 14:56So Saint Louis has been a bit of a surprise this year how well
- 14:58they've played, really playing even last like 1015 games, 20
- 15:04games. They have a sparkling record
- 15:05here. But you open as a road favorite.
- 15:07You become more of a favorite. We got some good splits again.
- 15:11Line has come back down a little bit, but I'm going to stick with
- 15:13Saint Louis in this one. Guys, now I got Saint Louis -135
- 15:17but you can maybe get Saint Louis as low as -130 I think
- 15:20ESPN bet and Caesars are at -130 But as always, if you're like
- 15:25me, you played a -, 135 or even when they're as high as -140 now
- 15:28that they're -130 I ain't, I ain't, you know, you know,
- 15:31buying out or going the other way or cashing out.
- 15:34This is a dance with the one who brung your play.
- 15:36Let's hope that the Cards can get to later.
- 15:38I am on Saint Louis again. I got -135 but you can hopefully
- 15:43get them as low as -130 let's go Saint Louis.
- 15:47Last game of the night, 9:40 PM Eastern Time, first pitch, let's
- 15:50go out to sunny San Diego, Pittsburgh Pirates visiting the
- 15:54San Diego Padres. And let me just tell you guys, I
- 15:56haven't mentioned this too much, but it's been a crazy week for
- 15:58me because the in laws who live in San Diego and they've lived
- 16:03there forever, they are actually moving to New Hampshire and it's
- 16:06all taking place this week. On Monday they got to our house.
- 16:10I don't live too far from the border in New Hampshire.
- 16:12I'm in Massachusetts of course, but they got here on Monday.
- 16:16They have 3 dachshunds, Dachshunds, the hot dogs and my
- 16:19big Labrador, Meadow. They're not really, they
- 16:22actually they clashed quite a bit at the beginning.
- 16:25The hot dogs would bark at Meadow and Meadow even though
- 16:27she's, you know, five times her size, she'd be scared and run
- 16:29away from them. But they drove cross country.
- 16:32They are closing on their new house in New Hampshire today.
- 16:36So I'm going to actually help them move in today once we
- 16:38finish up the pod here. But anyway, I'm a little sad
- 16:40because ever since I met my wife Elise, we've been together six
- 16:44years at this point, which is crazy to think about.
- 16:46But we would always go to San Diego to visit, go to Padres
- 16:50games. And now that they're no longer
- 16:52living in San Diego, I'm kind of sad because I don't know how
- 16:54often we'll be doing that again. But I do want to give a shout
- 16:57out to our guy Darush. It was one of the sharpest wise
- 16:59guys I know who's actually going to the Padres game tonight.
- 17:03So I think he's going to hold up, you know, a sign that says
- 17:06ASG podcaster big steam and hopefully give us some good luck
- 17:10here because I'm going pods a little spoiler alert here.
- 17:13But anyway, guys, let's give our our, you know, just classic
- 17:15breakdown of this one. 9:40 PM Eastern Time first pitch.
- 17:18We got the Pirates who are 21 and 36.
- 17:21Did whoever just take two or three against the D backs?
- 17:24Don't remind me got rolled as AD backs backer and that last one
- 17:28the Pirates won 12:50 in that series finale as a + 115 row
- 17:31dog. You know, all the pods 31 and
- 17:3423. They just took two or three
- 17:35against the Marlins. Couldn't get the sweep though.
- 17:38They lost that series finale 7:50 as a -, 160 home favorite.
- 17:42So pitching match up here tonight, we got the Pirates
- 17:44going with the righty Mitch Keller.
- 17:46He's one and six 3.66 ERA pods, meanwhile, are going to go with
- 17:50the ready Nick Pavetta 5 and two 2.72 ERA.
- 17:54So we've seen across the market here.
- 17:56Well, nothing but steam on the fathers.
- 17:59Padres open around -185 Pittsburgher on a + 165 Rd. dog.
- 18:04And even though that's kind of an expensive opener, sharps are
- 18:06saying, hey, we still like the Padres here.
- 18:08Padres have now gotten steamed up to -195 even as high as -200
- 18:13-. 2 O 5I jumped on San Diego at -195 that should still be
- 18:18available at Caesar's. If you're going to play this one
- 18:20with me again, just try to find a book.
- 18:22Anything sub -200 but I like the bet splits on the fathers.
- 18:26Aside from that 10-15 cents, the move in their favor.
- 18:29The Padres are getting 88% of money line bets, 95% of money
- 18:34line dollars at DraftKings and at circa Padres, 75% of money
- 18:39line bets and 93% of money line dollars.
- 18:42That basically tells me, hey, big pro and Joe, that's what
- 18:46you're probably seeing. The public just say, hey, give
- 18:47me the Padres because they got the better record.
- 18:49Wise guys don't care what the public's doing.
- 18:51They're probably hitting San Diego because they had this game
- 18:53close to -200 to begin with. So when it opened, as you know,
- 18:56around -185 they hit it said even though that's an expensive
- 18:59price, that still provides an edge because maybe it should be
- 19:02a little bit more expensive. I do have 9 system matches lit
- 19:06up on San Diego. Here's some of the top ones.
- 19:08Home favorites who made the playoffs the previous season.
- 19:11Those teams are 175 and 9066 percent 6% ROI this year.
- 19:16Both teams coming off a day off. Remember, this is the same
- 19:19system. We just have a Saint Louis take
- 19:21the favorite 56 and 2867 percent, 8% ROI.
- 19:26And then home favorites in the opening game of a new series,
- 19:29One O 8 and 5766 percent, 5% ROI.
- 19:33San Diego does have that correlative betting value
- 19:35favorite low total. So total this one is a very low
- 19:377 1/2 might be a low scoring game because it's really just
- 19:40under as well. So I like that correlative
- 19:42betting. Few amount of expected run
- 19:44scored more likely to come from quote UN quote that better team.
- 19:47And again, you're seeing this line move further to San Diego
- 19:50in that under 7 and half get juiced up.
- 19:52So hopefully this is AI don't know 4 to 1 San Diego win
- 19:55something like that. You also have that non division
- 19:58favorite value. Again, lack of familiarity
- 19:59benefiting the better team. I'm gonna hope the Padres bats
- 20:02come to play and get to Keller today.
- 20:05Pods are hitting 253 on the year, 52 homers, 233 runs
- 20:09scored. Pirates only hitting two 2640
- 20:12home runs and 183 runs scored. Nick Pavetta in particular has
- 20:16been really good at home. Knock on wood.
- 20:18Let's hope that continues. 4 and O 1.44 ERA at home this season
- 20:22and then just some classic home Rd. splits.
- 20:25San Diego has been really good at home, 18 and 9.
- 20:28Pittsburgh only 8 and 20 on the road.
- 20:30That's the third worst Rd. record in baseball.
- 20:33So it is an expensive price as always.
- 20:35You know, these are bet to risk, not bet to win plays, no matter
- 20:39what kind of price we get. You know, even if you look at
- 20:42play last night like the Rays, you know they're basically plus
- 20:45100 even money. Basically, bet to risk versus
- 20:49bet to win means you're risking a unit, getting a unit back.
- 20:51In a case of a big favorite like this, you know, if you're with
- 20:54me, San Diego and I got -195 you're not risking 1.95 units to
- 21:00win one unit that'll be betting to win.
- 21:02You're always betting to risk. So you're just risking your one
- 21:04unit no matter the play. In this case, because it's a
- 21:07minus number, you're looking to get a little, little more than
- 21:101/2 unit back. But you had all up guys.
- 21:12We got Derush, our guy Wiseguy, ASG pod supporter in the stands
- 21:16tonight. And hey, we got some good Steam
- 21:19system matches favorite low total.
- 21:22So I'm going father, so let's go dad's -195 S Toronto, St.
- 21:27Louis, San Diego. Can we try to eke out A2 in one
- 21:30night? As always, that is the goal.
- 21:33So that about does it for episode 289 of the All Systems
- 21:36Go Sports Betting podcast. As always, powered by rhythm.
- 21:40This is the part of the pod where we wrap things up and I
- 21:42start first, as always, by saying thank you.
- 21:45Thank you for taking the time out of your day, out of your
- 21:47busy lives to pull up a chair to the virtual bar and sweat some
- 21:50sharp data-driven breakdowns with me.
- 21:52If you do enjoy the pod, if the pod has hopefully benefited you
- 21:56and you've seen kind of the hopefully positive results of
- 21:59leaving your bias at the door and betting based on not what
- 22:02you think will happen or you want to happen, but based on
- 22:05what the market is telling you. If that's been the case and the
- 22:08pod hopefully has provided some valuable insights, could you do
- 22:11me a big favor? Could you give this podcast a
- 22:13five star review on Spotify or iTunes?
- 22:17If you want to click that review button and leave a nice comment,
- 22:20I will always say yes to that. If you want to click the follow
- 22:23button. That way you get alerted as soon
- 22:25as it drops. Each day you'll get a pop up
- 22:27notification on your smartphone. It would also be appreciated in
- 22:31old school word of mouth recommendation.
- 22:33Maybe you got a friend like, hey, you bet on sports.
- 22:35Yeah, I listen to this podcast, ASG Pod, check it out for free
- 22:38on Spotify or iTunes. Say you want to do that.
- 22:40That would also very much make my day.
- 22:44Next, if you enjoy the style of betting breakdown, data-driven,
- 22:47sharp contrarian betting, we're reading the market.
- 22:49We're betting games based on what the market is telling us.
- 22:52That's really the essence of data-driven betting, trying to
- 22:54be with the sharps against the public, trying to get good
- 22:57numbers. If that is the case and you want
- 23:00to learn more about data-driven betting, or maybe you have
- 23:02someone in your life, excuse me, who could use some data-driven
- 23:06insights, you know what I would love for you to do?
- 23:09I'd love for you to go to Amazon.com and then type in the
- 23:12Everything Guide to Sports Betting.
- 23:14That's the first book I ever wrote.
- 23:15Let's get everything I've learned in the industry.
- 23:17How lines are set, how and why they move.
- 23:19How to read line movement. How to locate sharp action, how
- 23:21to go contrarian, How to place a bet in person or online, How to
- 23:24shop for the best line, how to set up a bankroll management
- 23:27plan, chapters on all the major sports.
- 23:29It's all included in the Everything Guide to Sports
- 23:32Betting. And while you're at it, while
- 23:34you're getting the everything guide, stay on Amazon.com and
- 23:36then type in the NFL sharp betting playbook.
- 23:39It's my new book. It comes out August 12th.
- 23:41Cannot wait for you guys to check it out because I must say,
- 23:45I'm very proud of my first book. But I feel like my first book,
- 23:48you know, maybe I was like AI don't know a college freshman
- 23:50when I wrote it. Obviously I wasn't I was much
- 23:53many years out of college, but you know, now I feel like this
- 23:56is my like PhD book with a lot more insights and information.
- 24:00A lot of you know, experience, even more experience since I
- 24:03wrote the first one. But if you want to check it out
- 24:05again, if you want to pre-order a copy of the NFL sharp betting
- 24:08playbook, you would make my day. And hey, when you bring the
- 24:11everything guide in the sharp betting playbook to the sports
- 24:13book, I'll sign them for you. I'll buy you a beer or truly or
- 24:17ginger ale or some nachos and sweat some games together.
- 24:20How's that sound? Sounds pretty good to me.
- 24:22Also, if you haven't done it yet, you got to go download
- 24:25Rhythm and Juice Reel. My two favorite sports betting
- 24:28apps. Rhythm for their AI backed
- 24:30models and predictions for game bets and player props.
- 24:32They got WNBA live right now, NBAMLB.
- 24:36They also just unveiled their power trends, which are amazing
- 24:39because they're really looking at not just recommended AI
- 24:41plays, but plays that fit a certain repeatable set of
- 24:45conditions. And then of course, you got to
- 24:47go download Juice Reel. Juice Reel has a lot of great
- 24:49features. Here's the part of the pod I'm
- 24:51going to pass the hat. If you enjoy the pod and you got
- 24:54a $5.00 bill on you, I would love for you guys to sign up to
- 24:57get the all systems go official best bet picks only on the Juice
- 25:00Reel app. Again, this pods free.
- 25:02If you feel like I'm giving you a dollar's worth of insights
- 25:05each day, go sign up for those best bet picks.
- 25:07You can always click the link. Then I tweet out each day at
- 25:11Josh under Score Insights, kind of late afternoon.
- 25:14And then you can always click the buy sell tab, bottom right
- 25:17corner, search ASG under score podcast.
- 25:20And you can get those plays exclusively and only on
- 25:23Juicereel. And hopefully you'll beat some
- 25:25closing lines because they usually put the plays in a
- 25:27little bit earlier in the day, which is a little bonus for
- 25:30those of you who follow them. Get the row with Jackson best
- 25:33bet picks, the sharp mush indicators, the arbitrage plays.
- 25:36Shop for the best line futures. Sync up your sports books.
- 25:39Get a running report card of your action all available to you
- 25:42when you downloaded Juice Reel. So download rhythm, download
- 25:45Juice reel, give them a five star review in the App Store and
- 25:47you'll be off and running making sharp data-driven plays.
- 25:50Lastly, I mentioned earlier, but you got to have a live odds page
- 25:53if you're betting on sports. I gave you the example of the
- 25:55Jays today. Seen that big Steam light up the
- 25:58board and in red on the odds logic live odds page.
- 26:01But you got to be able to monitor the market.
- 26:03You need to know all the games played that day.
- 26:05You got to see the line movement, what it opened at
- 26:07makes it very easy. The column that says opener
- 26:10never changes. So it'll show you the opener and
- 26:12then all the current lines to the right.
- 26:13You can see immediately which direction the line is moved.
- 26:16You can shop for the best line. You can see the board light up
- 26:18and then take some action before before that number kind of
- 26:22evaporates. And what I really love is not
- 26:25only shopping for the best line and getting the line history,
- 26:27but also getting access to all the big books like Pinnacle,
- 26:30like Chris, like bet online, like Circa, because those are
- 26:33usually the first ones that move and then you can take advantage
- 26:36of those slow moving books. So if you want to give it a shot
- 26:39steaming into the weekend again, I gave it to you before, but
- 26:42make sure you go to oddslogic.com/josh 123 again,
- 26:47odds logic.com/josh 1-2 three, 50% off your first month of
- 26:51service and again, A7 day free trial.
- 26:54So that about does it for episode 2626.
- 26:57What am I saying 289? I was actually I have I'll tell
- 27:01you this. I I record the pod on a platform
- 27:04called Audacity and it was at the 26 minute mark.
- 27:07So that's what I was getting confused by.
- 27:08But this is episode 289, let's say in our first rodeo.
- 27:11But as always, guys, wrapping it up, I'll leave you a couple
- 27:14things. One, whether I see you at the
- 27:15Borgata in Atlantic City, Twin River in Rhode Island, the
- 27:18Brooklyn, New Hampshire, Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun, down in
- 27:21Connecticut at the Encore in Boston, or Plain Ridge Park
- 27:24Casino, MGM Springfield or the Nash in Nashville, New
- 27:27Hampshire, and my neck of the woods.
- 27:29Or of course, out in the desert where the true grinders get
- 27:32down. Or Billy Walter sends his number
- 27:33runners where the lowest juice possible is found at the South
- 27:36Point. Or Sweat and sharp contrarian
- 27:38plays jumping in the stadium swimming pool.
- 27:40When you cash a big ticket at Circa, wherever it may be,
- 27:42you're going to walk up to me, you know, show me a Rays ticket,
- 27:46a Jays ticket, nice, nice, kind of easy winners there in the
- 27:49end. And again, sports betting ain't
- 27:50easy, but you got to really, you got to really embrace those
- 27:53rocking chair hits. But whatever you do, don't show
- 27:55me Mariners. They just absolutely imploded.
- 27:58Who's the guy who came in? I forgot his name, who came in,
- 28:01but that reliever got absolutely ripped up, ripped apart.
- 28:04But either way, guys, I'll never complain about a 2IN1 winning
- 28:06night plus 0.6 units. So as always, if we can
- 28:12hopefully continue to grind, which I know there's ups and
- 28:15downs, we just got to stick with it, stick to the model, stick to
- 28:17the blueprint. Whether we're two and one, one
- 28:19and two, three and OO and three. We never let a good day make us
- 28:23arrogant or cocky and feel like we're invincible and double and
- 28:26triple down. On the flip side, we have a bad
- 28:28day. We don't let that, you know,
- 28:30kill us. Analysis by paralysis and you
- 28:33know, be scared to to, you know, make a bet because scared money
- 28:36don't make no money. We just got to stick to it and
- 28:39can keep grinding whenever as good as we think when we're hot
- 28:41whenever as bad as we think when we're cold.
- 28:43And if we can stay true to the model against the public with
- 28:46the house, with the pros, flat bet, avoid parlays, get that
- 28:49closing line value. If we can do that, then we're
- 28:51going to be successful sports betters long term.
- 28:54So have a great Friday, everybody.
- 28:55Have an even better weekend. Reminder, no pods on the
- 28:57weekend, but you can follow the weekend MLB best bets from the
- 29:01Juice Reel app. And you can also read my
- 29:03breakdowns from visen.com for my Twitter page at Josh under score
- 29:07insights. But have a great Friday, guys.
- 29:10Enjoy your weekend and I'll see you back on Monday for episode
- 29:12290 of the all systems go sports betting podcast powered by
- 29:17rhythm. Good luck everybody and have a
- 29:19great Friday night.
