- 0:15SPEAKER_01: What is going on, sports minds?
- 0:18SPEAKER_01: It's your boy MJ coming at you with another episode of the Fantasy Fumble.
- 0:23SPEAKER_01: Snoop Dogg has had too much of smoke.
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: He just jumped off.
- 0:28SPEAKER_01: Man, Snoop, you guys get back up there.
- 0:31SPEAKER_01: It's that bling bling.
- 0:33SPEAKER_01: I'm sorry.
- 0:33SPEAKER_01: Sorry, folks.
- 0:34SPEAKER_01: Uh Snoop isn't on his best behavior right now.
- 0:38SPEAKER_01: We're gonna just let it stab bling bling.
- 0:40SPEAKER_01: He's just gonna go to sleep.
- 0:41SPEAKER_01: All right, so listen.
- 0:44SPEAKER_01: Uh we are coming at you with another episode of the fantasy fumble.
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: I'm here with my co-host and good friend Joe.
- 0:51SPEAKER_01: Joe, how the hell are you doing today, brother?
- 0:54SPEAKER_02: I'm doing pretty well.
- 0:55SPEAKER_02: I had a I think I had a decent week in fantasy.
- 0:58SPEAKER_02: I went three and three, but the games I needed to win, I won, aside from your league, the champions league, uh, aside from your one league.
- 1:07SPEAKER_02: And uh, I have a tough matchup this week.
- 1:09SPEAKER_02: So I think I think my days are numbered in the Champions League, but everything else, every other league, it's going really well.
- 1:16SPEAKER_02: And um, you know, there that's how I felt uh two weeks ago, like Snoop.
- 1:21SPEAKER_02: I just wanted to fall off the couch watching all my teams lose.
- 1:24SPEAKER_02: But this week's been better.
- 1:26SPEAKER_02: How about you?
- 1:27SPEAKER_01: I was a good week, man.
- 1:28SPEAKER_01: A lot of wins across the board.
- 1:30SPEAKER_01: I think I have four out of five in leagues.
- 1:33SPEAKER_01: One of them was a complete blowout.
- 1:35SPEAKER_01: So it, you know, it's but that tends to be the team that's so different from the rest of them.
- 1:41SPEAKER_01: You always do that contrarian lineup, right?
- 1:43SPEAKER_01: You're gonna draft players that you weren't really big on this whole offseason, you're gonna go a different route, and that almost 99% of the time ends up being your worst team.
- 1:54SPEAKER_01: Um, and that's my team in uh and in James' league, right?
- 1:59SPEAKER_01: So that that ends up being I'm one and five in that league.
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: I have players that I typically wouldn't have drafted, and my team is buns, so but things happen, and the other ones I'm looking like a juggernaut.
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: So you can't win them all, folks.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: That's fancy football.
- 2:18SPEAKER_02: And you should change it up.
- 2:19SPEAKER_02: You don't want to have the same team in every league.
- 2:21SPEAKER_02: I I try to, if I'm like, for example, I drafted James Cook and Isaiah Pacheco in like three leagues, and after I did that for my first few drafts, I thought, all right, you can't do that again.
- 2:34SPEAKER_02: Change it up, even if he's available, change it up because if something happens, like Pacheco getting injured, then you've got problems in every league.
- 2:42SPEAKER_02: So it's good to change it up like that and draft some guys you normally wouldn't.
- 2:46SPEAKER_02: Like I drafted DeAndre Swift and was not feeling that it turned out to be okay the last few weeks, but the first few weeks were rough.
- 2:54SPEAKER_02: And uh you gotta you gotta play the long term, you gotta change things up.
- 2:59SPEAKER_02: And the one league where I actually had a really close win, uh Josh Allen won the game on the very last play.
- 3:09SPEAKER_02: And that league, I'm doing all right, I'm three and three, but that that team is so much different than all my other teams because I was taking that approach where I'm like, all right, I'm gonna draft a quarterback early, I'm gonna go wide receiver heavy, where I usually go running back heavy.
- 3:24SPEAKER_02: And uh it it worked out, but yeah, it usually usually doesn't when you try to make different moves like that.
- 3:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah, especially when you're talking about all these injuries.
- 3:35SPEAKER_01: Oh my goodness, it has been an absolute uh Armageddon of injuries, right?
- 3:41SPEAKER_01: I think that's that's your reference you made, right?
- 3:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah, something like that.
- 3:45SPEAKER_02: Injury Armageddon.
- 3:47SPEAKER_02: Um but the thing is, dude, also the studs are not playing like studs in the running back position.
- 3:55SPEAKER_02: All the guys that you're taking in the first round, aside from you know, people like Barkley and Henry who look incredible, but they were towards the end of or you know, towards the back of the first round.
- 4:05SPEAKER_02: I mean, we've got a lot of running backs that are just not performing at the level you expected.
- 4:12SPEAKER_02: So that's been hard to navigate.
- 4:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, I I definitely agree.
- 4:17SPEAKER_01: Those with those injuries, especially to running backs, those wide receiver pedigrees, right?
- 4:23SPEAKER_01: The top rank wide receivers are have been your most consistent contributors, right?
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: Um but I I took the approach of I like running a triangle style of uh I like to call it triangle style of of team roster.
- 4:40SPEAKER_01: So basically what that means is that I have a three-headed monster at running back, three-headed monster at wide receiver, and that's that's how I try to build my team up, you know.
- 4:50SPEAKER_01: And obviously I can't get both.
- 4:53SPEAKER_01: You know, if I could get one if three-headed running backs not available, then I'll get a three-headed wide receiver core, you know, and that typically gives you a really good, you know, uh, really good trajectory in fantasy football.
- 5:05SPEAKER_02: And then you can build that other part that you're lacking throughout the season.
- 5:09SPEAKER_02: I mean, you've always got guys off the waiver wire, you can always make trades, especially after injuries.
- 5:14SPEAKER_02: You can get some people that'll make trades with you doing two for ones, and you can end up building your team that way.
- 5:20SPEAKER_02: But yeah, it's it's been a really interesting season.
- 5:23SPEAKER_02: And um, I think we should get into some more interesting things that happened this week.
- 5:30SPEAKER_02: But first, a word from our sponsor.
- 5:32SPEAKER_01: Hey there.
- 5:33SPEAKER_01: My name is Manny James Gonzalez with PRB, and I'm a real estate agent here in Central Florida.
- 5:39SPEAKER_01: I'm a U.S.
- 5:39SPEAKER_01: Navy veteran, military relocation pro, and big supporter of 2A and veterans' rights.
- 5:45SPEAKER_01: My specialty is VA transactions.
- 5:48SPEAKER_01: I'm also experience in all parts of real estate.
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: I've been living in Florida for over 20 years, and I can tell you we still believe in freedom down here.
- 5:59SPEAKER_01: One of the greatest job markets, excellent economy, and no state income tax.
- 6:04SPEAKER_01: When it comes to an agent, you want one that's gonna be honest, not afraid of a fight, and most importantly, willing to do the things that some agents aren't willing to do.
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: And what's that, Manny?
- 6:15SPEAKER_01: Too straight, Dan.
- 6:21SPEAKER_01: If you ever consider buying in Central Florida, you need somebody you can trust, and I got your sticks.
- 6:26SPEAKER_01: I'm Manny James Gonzalez, buying land for the free and home for the brave.
- 6:37SPEAKER_02: Welcome back, ballers.
- 6:39SPEAKER_02: As I was just saying, there's a couple interesting things that happened this week, so let's get into our news and notes.
- 6:52SPEAKER_02: Now, a couple things right off the bat that we gotta talk about.
- 6:57SPEAKER_02: There's two trades that happened.
- 6:59SPEAKER_02: Devontae Adams is now on the Jets, and Amari Cooper is now on the Bills.
- 7:06SPEAKER_02: What do you think about all that, Manny?
- 7:09SPEAKER_01: Well, I do like uh the fits for both teams.
- 7:13SPEAKER_01: Uh I was talking weeks ago.
- 7:16SPEAKER_01: Uh I don't know if I did it on the show or just uh just with you, Joe, talking about how the Packers would be a great, excuse me, Packers, Aaron Rodgers would be a great teammate for Devontae Adams.
- 7:29SPEAKER_01: He's disgruntled, you know, they moved Derek Carr, and he hates it in Oakland or Las Vegas.
- 7:37SPEAKER_01: I can't.
- 7:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah, Derek Carr was like the only reason he's there.
- 7:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and then they shipped him out.
- 7:41SPEAKER_01: So what reason did he have to stay in Las Vegas?
- 7:44SPEAKER_01: So um, on the other hand, Jets were a struggling franchise offensively.
- 7:49SPEAKER_01: They needed more firepower.
- 7:50SPEAKER_01: Alan Lazard was solid this year, has been solid, but he's had a lot of drops too.
- 7:56SPEAKER_01: So you they want some sure hands, and they got that with Devontae, so he's gonna be a really nice wide receiver three on your team.
- 8:05SPEAKER_01: You can't buy on him now because people are gonna be selling high.
- 8:08SPEAKER_01: You gotta wait until he has a couple okay games, which you know, after a first game or two, you might be able to buy low on him.
- 8:15SPEAKER_02: You might be able to get some people to do it this after this first week because I don't think they're gonna give him a full workload.
- 8:20SPEAKER_02: So you you might be able to get some people to bite, but I doubt it.
- 8:23SPEAKER_02: Probably gotta give it two weeks.
- 8:25SPEAKER_01: Well, yeah, that's what I was saying, like after a couple games, because they they all they all know it's it's just precautionary.
- 8:32SPEAKER_01: But the good thing is he's already been out in the practice field, so I mean they're gonna give him a lot of snaps, so we'll see.
- 8:40SPEAKER_02: But yeah, I think the same thing about Devonta is you could have a couple weeks where he's still getting accustomed to the offense and he's not getting a full workload.
- 8:48SPEAKER_02: And if he did actually have a hamstring injury, they're gonna definitely want to ease him into the offense.
- 8:53SPEAKER_02: And if you catch some people that are frustrated after a week or two of, you know, not great numbers, and I mean it's possible Devontae comes out and just blows the roof off the stadium and acts like he was when him and Rogers were playing together years ago, but I think it's gonna take a couple weeks, and if you get some people that are frustrated, he might be a season winner, but you're not gonna or a league winner, but you're not gonna get him right now.
- 9:22SPEAKER_02: I agree with you.
- 9:23SPEAKER_02: His value is way too high right now.
- 9:25SPEAKER_02: And the same thing with Amari is I do think it'll take him a couple weeks to get accustomed to the Bills' offense, but with with him, that's a much better offense.
- 9:36SPEAKER_02: Same thing as Devontae, a much better offense.
- 9:39SPEAKER_02: Their numbers are only going up from here, and they've already been respectable.
- 9:43SPEAKER_02: So I like that move for both of them, and it could even help Garrett Wilson with Devontae there.
- 9:49SPEAKER_02: Now he's not gonna have to worry about being double covered.
- 9:52SPEAKER_02: And with Amari Cooper, now you've got someone that Josh Allen can actually throw to on a regular basis.
- 10:00SPEAKER_02: Now, another some Steelers-related news, the four-and-two Steelers are now having Russell Wilson as their starting quarterback.
- 10:11SPEAKER_02: I'm not into that, I don't understand it.
- 10:14SPEAKER_02: I know that uh Justin Fields has made a few mistakes, but the team is four and two, and he's looked pretty good.
- 10:20SPEAKER_02: And they're playing the Jets this week, who are tough against the pass.
- 10:24SPEAKER_02: You'd think you'd want a mobile quarterback, but whatever.
- 10:28SPEAKER_02: It's it's typical behavior for the Steelers to just uh do things that don't really make sense.
- 10:34SPEAKER_02: Uh, but we'll see.
- 10:36SPEAKER_02: But yeah, Russell Wilson is now gonna be the starter for Pittsburgh.
- 10:39SPEAKER_02: Now we have a Q uh.
- 10:43SPEAKER_02: A Q.
- 10:45SPEAKER_02: Now we have a few notable injuries that we got to discuss at running back.
- 10:49SPEAKER_02: TJ Spears, Trey Sermon, and Jonathan Taylor from the Colts, Aaron Jones, Ramondre Stevenson, Najee Harris, and Jerome Ford.
- 11:00SPEAKER_02: They all did not practice.
- 11:03SPEAKER_02: And at wide receiver, we got Jacoby Myers, Michael Pittman Jr., and Josh Downs from the Colts, Deontay Johnson, and Rasheed Shahid is now on IR, or I mean headed towards IR, it seems like.
- 11:17SPEAKER_02: And Chris Olave has already been rolled out for game seven with a concussion.
- 11:22SPEAKER_02: Now at tight end, Dallas Goddard did not practice, and uh that's it.
- 11:28SPEAKER_02: And for quarterback, as we were just discussing, Derek Carr, he is listed as doubtful for week seven, probably not gonna play.
- 11:36SPEAKER_02: A few notable people that, although we don't normally mention limited practice, there are a few notable names that came back to practice.
- 11:45SPEAKER_02: Nick Chubb and Clyde Edwards Hilaire at running back, and uh TJ Hawkinson at tight end.
- 11:54SPEAKER_02: So it's good to see them practicing again.
- 11:56SPEAKER_02: I wouldn't expect anything this week, but uh possibly next week.
- 12:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's definitely uh a lot of injuries, man.
- 12:06SPEAKER_01: The injury bug keeps biting.
- 12:08SPEAKER_01: Um but obviously with the injury bug comes um the replacements, right?
- 12:14SPEAKER_01: The guys that you're gonna spot start that are gonna pretty much save your week.
- 12:17SPEAKER_01: And I've seen situations where these guys fill a role and they still get you a serviceful uh flex option or flex points, you know, 15 points a game.
- 12:28SPEAKER_01: So um in regards to Chris Olave, obviously that you know, wide receivers there.
- 12:35SPEAKER_01: You're you're looking at Shaheed, Rasheed Shahid, of course, he's the number one option that they're gonna go to there.
- 12:42SPEAKER_01: Um, but uh outside of that, there's not really gonna be any major targets going around, I think, um, as far as wide receivers.
- 12:50SPEAKER_01: Did you have somebody that you like?
- 12:52SPEAKER_02: Well, I was just gonna say Rasheed Shahid is is also out for week seven.
- 12:56SPEAKER_01: Oh, he is.
- 12:57SPEAKER_02: So they already ruled him out and Olave.
- 13:02SPEAKER_02: So your your options are limited in New Orleans.
- 13:06SPEAKER_02: You know, it might be a good a good week to play Taysom Hill.
- 13:09SPEAKER_02: If he's he's questionable too, though.
- 13:11SPEAKER_02: So I mean, I don't know.
- 13:13SPEAKER_02: It it sounds like you need to stay away.
- 13:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah, expect a big week for Kamara and stay away from everything else.
- 13:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah, definitely.
- 13:21SPEAKER_01: And and as a Philadelphia Eagles fan, I can tell you one thing that you do not want to get a replacement for Dallas Goddard.
- 13:30SPEAKER_01: Doesn't matter who they put in there, you're not gonna get any production.
- 13:33SPEAKER_01: It's still gonna go to AJ Brown, Devontae Smith, and we're either gonna win or we're gonna crash hard to the earth like a flaming asteroid.
- 13:42SPEAKER_01: That's how bad the game can be for the Eagles.
- 13:46SPEAKER_01: So uh I wouldn't start anybody in place of Goddard.
- 13:50SPEAKER_01: And then uh, of course, for Derek Carr, I mean, Special uh Spencer Rattler did look good.
- 13:56SPEAKER_01: He did look good, yeah.
- 13:57SPEAKER_01: Uh so he'd probably be more of a Russian option, you know, like they'd run more of that that role there.
- 14:02SPEAKER_01: You'd probably get some touchdowns to a bunch of people we don't even know.
- 14:06SPEAKER_01: Uh but I I wouldn't start anybody besides Kamara, like you said.
- 14:11SPEAKER_01: So there's not really a lot of availability right now to waiver wire.
- 14:16SPEAKER_01: You you had to have already made those moves.
- 14:19SPEAKER_01: Um but if you haven't already, Clyde Edwards Hilaire is of you know should have already been picked up, but he's activated from IR as well.
- 14:28SPEAKER_02: Yeah, he's available in a lot of leagues, so you might be able to get him.
- 14:31SPEAKER_02: Pick him up, a little stash, yeah.
- 14:34SPEAKER_02: You know, it's it's strange though, like we're talking about Rashid Shaheed and Chris Olave are both out.
- 14:40SPEAKER_02: So what are your options in New Orleans?
- 14:42SPEAKER_02: And then for the Colts, it's possible that uh Trey Sermon and Jonathan Taylor are out, they're two starting running backs, and then Michael Pittman and Josh Downs.
- 14:55SPEAKER_02: It's possible that they're gonna be out.
- 14:56SPEAKER_02: If all four of those guys are out, the Colts are gonna have a long day.
- 15:02SPEAKER_01: Damn.
- 15:03SPEAKER_01: I didn't even think about that.
- 15:05SPEAKER_01: So stay the hell away from the Colts, too.
- 15:15SPEAKER_01: It's kind of hot in here.
- 15:17SPEAKER_01: It's time for our hot matchups over here.
- 15:20SPEAKER_01: Now, for my hot matchup, Joe, I ended up going with the Texans versus the Packers.
- 15:30SPEAKER_01: That actually has a really good uh potential to be a shootout.
- 15:35SPEAKER_01: Uh obviously, two really good defensive teams.
- 15:38SPEAKER_01: The Texans uh just came from a really dominant performance last week here when they got the win.
- 15:43SPEAKER_01: Um, and the Packers also have been playing strong defense all year long.
- 15:48SPEAKER_01: But I think when you have two really great defenses like that and two awesome offenses meet, it's gonna be basically a uh a shot for shot type of game.
- 15:59SPEAKER_01: You know, like one team's gonna score, the other team's gonna answer.
- 16:02SPEAKER_01: One team's gonna score because uh, I mean, at the end of the day, offense wins the games uh here in the NFL today, right?
- 16:09SPEAKER_01: That's it, the rules are favorable to the offense, right?
- 16:12SPEAKER_01: Like protecting the quarterback, the receivers.
- 16:15SPEAKER_01: So if you have the right offense, like you know, like Tank Dell clicking in all cylinders, right, with Stepon Diggs for CJ Stroud.
- 16:25SPEAKER_01: We all saw Joe Mixon coming back from injury, he looked freaking amazing, right?
- 16:30SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 16:30SPEAKER_01: Damion Pierce looks like he's has some kind of potential as a backup.
- 16:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you know, where'd that come from?
- 16:36SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 16:37SPEAKER_01: I mean, the he flashed his first his rookie season.
- 16:39SPEAKER_01: He actually the first few weeks he did, and then he took a he regressed.
- 16:45SPEAKER_01: I don't know what happened, but uh on the other side, the Packers.
- 16:48SPEAKER_01: I mean, they thought their season was over after week one.
- 16:51SPEAKER_01: They thought Jordan Love was injured, and I mean, fortunately, I'm very happy for them because that would have been crappy for fantasy footballers, uh, you know, at uh everywhere, because at the end of the day, you're gonna be without a whole valuable lineup of wide receivers, right?
- 17:08SPEAKER_01: And put potentially running backs.
- 17:10SPEAKER_01: Um, but the Packers, Jordan Love throwing it to Jaden Reed, you know, Romeo Dobbs had an efficient day, Christian Watson ate, you know, Tucker Kraft ate, like they were just feeding it to everybody.
- 17:24SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 17:25SPEAKER_02: Uh Tucker Tucker Kraft had a little bit of a down day, but everybody else ate he ate the previous week like a big fat pig.
- 17:32SPEAKER_02: But yeah, dude, it was great to see Jordan Love come back, and it's just like he never skipped a beat.
- 17:40SPEAKER_02: And I traded uh Jalen Hurts because I have Jordan Love on my team.
- 17:45SPEAKER_02: I figured I I don't need them both.
- 17:48SPEAKER_02: So uh I'm that confident in Jordan Love, and I expect that to be a high-scoring game, too.
- 17:55SPEAKER_02: Now for my hot matchup, I'm going with the Ravens again.
- 18:01SPEAKER_02: The Ravens versus the Buccaneers.
- 18:08SPEAKER_02: They're both four and two, and they've looked really impressive through the first six weeks of the season.
- 18:14SPEAKER_02: Everyone's healthy on both sides of the field, aside from Rashad White, but Bucky Irving and Sean Tucker look better anyway.
- 18:21SPEAKER_02: And the Ravens secondary might give Baker some problems, but not enough for him to stop throwing to Godwin and Evans.
- 18:28SPEAKER_02: And the Bucks will not be able to stop the offense of the Ravens, whether it's on the ground or through the air.
- 18:34SPEAKER_02: Their run defense is a little better than their pass, but they won't be able to stop King Henry and Lamar.
- 18:40SPEAKER_02: They just won't.
- 18:41SPEAKER_02: And Lamar has looked great as a passer lately, too.
- 18:44SPEAKER_02: So I expect that to be a high scoring game on the ground and through the air for both teams.
- 18:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's gonna be a fun game.
- 18:53SPEAKER_01: Uh, I'm actually very excited to see that.
- 18:56SPEAKER_01: I don't have a lot of stock in either team, unfortunately.
- 19:00SPEAKER_01: This year it didn't fall to me.
- 19:02SPEAKER_01: Um, but definitely excited for the fireworks that will happen.
- 19:07SPEAKER_01: Um potential shootout for sure.
- 19:15SPEAKER_02: All right.
- 19:17SPEAKER_02: Now it's time for our cold calls of the week.
- 19:24SPEAKER_02: Now for my cold call, again, I'm going with the Steelers.
- 19:29SPEAKER_02: The Jets versus the Steelers.
- 19:34SPEAKER_02: I know we're all excited about Devontae and Rogers getting back together, but these are two of the best defenses in the league.
- 19:43SPEAKER_02: And there are still some things that need to be ironed out for both of their offenses.
- 19:49SPEAKER_02: Devontae may be a little hobbled with his hamstring injury, or he may be fine, but either way, I don't think he's just gonna hit the ground running on a new team against the Steelers secondary.
- 19:59SPEAKER_02: And Garrett, Garrett Wilson, he might have a little bit of a hard time too.
- 20:03SPEAKER_02: Uh as though, you know, we were just talking about how these guys are gonna be good long term, but I'm saying this week, they're obviously you're gonna start them, but you're gonna have them with lower expectations.
- 20:14SPEAKER_02: Uh Brees Hall should still give you a solid floor, but again, you got to lower those expectations.
- 20:20SPEAKER_02: Uh the Jets secondary has looked incredible as well.
- 20:23SPEAKER_02: And the Steelers, they're starting Russell Wilson.
- 20:26SPEAKER_02: They've been struggling with the pass, they can't seem to find a rhythm with Pickens.
- 20:31SPEAKER_02: And I think a mobile, as I was saying before, I think a mobile quarterback like Fields would be a better move this week.
- 20:37SPEAKER_02: Um, but they they are starting Russell Wilson, and he's gonna have to shake off the rust, and he's gonna have to get accustomed to the offense.
- 20:44SPEAKER_02: I don't think it's gonna be a good week for the Steelers offense.
- 20:48SPEAKER_02: Um, Pickens is inconsistent at best, and Najee is banged up.
- 20:52SPEAKER_02: You know, he didn't practice today.
- 20:54SPEAKER_02: So don't expect too much for Warren, even if he gets a bigger workload against against the Jets defense.
- 21:02SPEAKER_02: And he just came back from an injury too.
- 21:04SPEAKER_02: So lower your expectations for Najee, Jalen Warren, and Pickens.
- 21:08SPEAKER_02: I guess you start them if you don't have other options, but hopefully you have better options.
- 21:13SPEAKER_02: I do think it'll be a great game.
- 21:16SPEAKER_02: And I would start the studs on on the the Jets, but with lower expectations, and I would stay away from the Steelers.
- 21:23SPEAKER_02: But the Steelers and the Jets D, both good starts this week.
- 21:28SPEAKER_01: Now for my cold call, I went ahead and went uh Pats versus the Jaguars.
- 21:38SPEAKER_01: I mean, two teams are really struggling a little bit.
- 21:41SPEAKER_01: I know Drake May had a good game last week.
- 21:44SPEAKER_01: Um the Jags had a bad game last week.
- 21:47SPEAKER_01: I think they lost in London, you know.
- 21:49SPEAKER_01: So they they uh they need to bounce back.
- 21:53SPEAKER_01: They they want to go ahead.
- 21:54SPEAKER_01: They lost to they lost to the Bears, yeah.
- 21:57SPEAKER_01: So uh they need a bounce back.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: I think this is the perfect game for them, the Patriots.
- 22:02SPEAKER_01: Um, so it's gonna be a really ugly game because the Patriots are really gonna give it to them.
- 22:07SPEAKER_01: And I could see this being a a grind fess and just a really slow, ugly game.
- 22:13SPEAKER_01: So I wouldn't play anybody from the Patriots, not even Ramondre Stevenson.
- 22:18SPEAKER_01: Um, and then on the opposite side for the Jags, I mean, you could play some wide receivers like Evan Ingram and Christian Kirk.
- 22:27SPEAKER_01: I know he's a tight end, but might as well be a receiver.
- 22:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 22:31SPEAKER_01: Um, and uh Travis Etienne's out, so Tank Bigsby is gonna split it with Dearnis Johnson.
- 22:37SPEAKER_01: I wouldn't play either.
- 22:38SPEAKER_01: Uh I didn't like that backful.
- 22:40SPEAKER_01: I didn't even like it with Travis Etienne.
- 22:42SPEAKER_01: That's why I traded him the one league I had him.
- 22:45SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I know.
- 22:46SPEAKER_02: That's a good move now, huh?
- 22:47SPEAKER_02: Looking back at that.
- 22:48SPEAKER_02: It was a risky move at the time.
- 22:49SPEAKER_01: Hey, I sold it.
- 22:51SPEAKER_01: I was like, I don't like what's going on over there.
- 22:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you called that early.
- 22:56SPEAKER_02: And I was surprised because I mean I thought he was gonna be repeating what he did last year.
- 23:02SPEAKER_02: But man, it's it's been a rough start for the Jags.
- 23:06SPEAKER_02: I think they really need to win this week, too.
- 23:08SPEAKER_02: And the the the offense has looked, you've seen flashes of what they can do.
- 23:14SPEAKER_02: They have potential, but they're just not getting it together.
- 23:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah, Evan Ingram came back and looked awesome.
- 23:20SPEAKER_02: But yeah, that that offense, it's a little shaky, and uh that game as a whole is probably gonna be low scoring.
- 23:31SPEAKER_01: It's time for the shit call of the week.
- 23:41SPEAKER_01: Now, for my shit call, I'll tell you what, I was stupid.
- 23:48SPEAKER_01: I was stupid to think that Sean Payton and the Denver Broncos were gonna give Javante Williams, their best running back, a consistent workload.
- 24:02SPEAKER_01: They have been hurting that guy's stock so bad, they keep giving it to little Jaleel, McLaughlin, and everybody's McLaughlin at their McAssin, all right, because it's stupid, all right.
- 24:18SPEAKER_01: So I'm just as dumb.
- 24:19SPEAKER_01: Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.
- 24:23SPEAKER_01: I will not be uh making that a big balls call again.
- 24:27SPEAKER_01: I don't care.
- 24:28SPEAKER_01: That was even that was risque, even for my taste, and they made me look, they made me look dumb.
- 24:34SPEAKER_01: They had a good matchup and they screwed it up.
- 24:37SPEAKER_02: They should have given them more volume, so don't be too hard on yourself.
- 24:41SPEAKER_02: Some of these coaches, they they don't make the best calls.
- 24:43SPEAKER_02: I know I'm not a coach, I know I don't know dick compared to these coaches, but some of these calls really have you scratching your head.
- 24:50SPEAKER_02: Again, like starting Russell Wilson when Justin Fields has you at four and two, and he's gonna need to run the ball.
- 24:57SPEAKER_02: Anyway, my shit call.
- 25:00SPEAKER_02: I thought the Lions versus the Cowboys was gonna be a shootout, and it was almost a shutout.
- 25:07SPEAKER_02: You like that little play on words there?
- 25:10SPEAKER_02: The only points scored by the Cowboys were from their kicker, Brandon Aubrey.
- 25:15SPEAKER_02: Everyone on the Lions came to play, but Dak and the Cowboys looked really bad.
- 25:20SPEAKER_02: They were sleeping the entire game.
- 25:23SPEAKER_01: Hey, they dropped a 40 burger on the other side.
- 25:26SPEAKER_01: So I mean they I think the Lions almost hit the spread by themselves.
- 25:31SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 25:31SPEAKER_02: I mean, yeah, that side of it was great.
- 25:34SPEAKER_02: Everyone came to play and they looked awesome.
- 25:37SPEAKER_02: Um, I mean, you could have gotten a little more targets for Laporta, but he still he still scored his touchdowns, so yeah, made up for on a flea flicker, too.
- 25:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I know.
- 25:47SPEAKER_02: A long touchdown on flea flicker.
- 25:49SPEAKER_02: That was that was great.
- 25:50SPEAKER_02: Disrespectful to lion.
- 25:54SPEAKER_02: They were playing with him like a lion, just batting him around like a fresh kill.
- 25:58SPEAKER_01: Nah, bro, they're like a honey badger, they don't give a fuck, bro.
- 26:02SPEAKER_02: I know, and that's the thing is you're like, well, they're gonna put in their their backups now, and they never did.
- 26:09SPEAKER_01: They just fucking kept pounding them into the ground, and that ended up hurting them because guess what?
- 26:14SPEAKER_01: They ended up snapping freaking Aiden Hudson's leg in half, right?
- 26:20SPEAKER_01: So now they lose him for the season, which is horrible because that was their best player on their entire team, you know.
- 26:28SPEAKER_02: Like that says a lot when you're talking about that team.
- 26:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 26:31SPEAKER_01: Their team is so talented, like they're they were literally the best team in the NFC.
- 26:36SPEAKER_01: And the only way they stay on that conversation is by making a move for Max Crosby.
- 26:42SPEAKER_01: He fixed their he fits their their scheme, their lineup, what they need.
- 26:47SPEAKER_01: And at the end of the day, he's from Detroit, isn't he?
- 26:50SPEAKER_01: Or from Michigan.
- 26:51SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 26:52SPEAKER_01: I think he went to Michigan State.
- 26:54SPEAKER_01: Um, he went to Michigan State for school, so he thought he was gonna get drafted by the Lions.
- 26:59SPEAKER_01: He he did not.
- 27:00SPEAKER_01: So after they told him, so he has a chip on his shoulder, so it'd be nice to get them reunited back home.
- 27:05SPEAKER_02: And man, I mean, their defense has been so good that you want to keep that.
- 27:09SPEAKER_02: You know, their defense is got they kind of fly under the radar because their offense is so good, but their defense is amazing too.
- 27:16SPEAKER_02: And you know, Hutchinson was a huge reason for that, obviously.
- 27:20SPEAKER_02: So they need to fill that gap somehow.
- 27:22SPEAKER_02: I'd love to see that Crosby going over.
- 27:25SPEAKER_00: Such a good game, man.
- 27:28SPEAKER_00: The Cowboys get stopped.
- 27:29SPEAKER_00: It was.
- 27:30SPEAKER_02: I mean, I enjoyed watching the game, but my big balls or my my prediction was wrong.
- 27:37SPEAKER_02: It wasn't a shootout.
- 27:38SPEAKER_02: I did enjoy the game, though.
- 27:39SPEAKER_00: It was a good game.
- 27:41SPEAKER_02: Now let's get into our big balls call.
- 27:58SPEAKER_02: Let him so get him off my head, man.
- 28:00SPEAKER_02: Get him, let him so for my big balls call.
- 28:10SPEAKER_02: If he plays, so there's a caveat with this.
- 28:13SPEAKER_02: If he plays, which I think he will, Malik Neighbors is going to come back and finish as the wide receiver one this week.
- 28:21SPEAKER_02: The game against the Eagles should be an offensive battle, it's a divisional matchup, and Malik is gonna be hungry.
- 28:29SPEAKER_02: He's been awesome when he's healthy.
- 28:33SPEAKER_02: They gave him an extra week to rest.
- 28:36SPEAKER_02: He's gonna come back, blow the roof off the place, and finish as the wide receiver one.
- 28:46SPEAKER_01: I like it.
- 28:47SPEAKER_01: I like it.
- 28:48SPEAKER_01: My league neighbors missed two weeks.
- 28:50SPEAKER_01: He was the number one fantasy scorer wide receiver, and he was actually the league leader in yards before he went out.
- 28:57SPEAKER_01: So imagine him coming back and just having a huge day.
- 29:01SPEAKER_01: That that's amazing.
- 29:02SPEAKER_01: Uh, I I like that call a lot, Joe.
- 29:06SPEAKER_01: Very good.
- 29:07SPEAKER_02: I know it'll be a little hard for you to watch because you're an Eagles fan, but you still will enjoy it.
- 29:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah, not really.
- 29:14SPEAKER_01: Uh, probably not.
- 29:15SPEAKER_01: He's not on any of my teams, so I can't cheer for him.
- 29:18SPEAKER_01: That's exactly the reason why I'm trying to trade CeeDee Lamb in one of my leagues.
- 29:22SPEAKER_01: Oops, because I don't want to cheer on Cowboys, especially when they're sucking.
- 29:28SPEAKER_01: It makes it even harder to like them.
- 29:30SPEAKER_01: I'm like, man, the one time I'm actually like positively sending vibes your way, you're gonna really suck ass.
- 29:37SPEAKER_01: Like get it together, bro.
- 29:39SPEAKER_01: Get it together.
- 29:40SPEAKER_02: I know I got him, I got him in one league too, and it's been I had him in two, but now I have him in one, and it's been frustrating.
- 29:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and he doesn't suck ass.
- 29:49SPEAKER_01: I meant the cowboys have sucked.
- 29:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I know, I know, but but it's been frustrating because he's had a couple weeks that are lackluster because of Dak and the entire offense.
- 30:00SPEAKER_02: Not as frustrating as Brandon Ayuk, but still frustrating.
- 30:04SPEAKER_02: Now, what's your big balls call?
- 30:07SPEAKER_01: Well, that's a perfect segue, sir.
- 30:11SPEAKER_01: My big balls call is Brandon Ayuk's gonna be a top five wide receiver this week.
- 30:18SPEAKER_01: Okay, the 49ers play their revenge game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
- 30:24SPEAKER_01: So this is gonna be a good game.
- 30:26SPEAKER_01: Now, uh, just so I'm not saying the wrong information, it's in San Francisco.
- 30:31SPEAKER_01: All right, in front of the home crowd.
- 30:33SPEAKER_01: Is this a night game?
- 30:35SPEAKER_01: It's a 425 game.
- 30:36SPEAKER_01: It's perfect.
- 30:37SPEAKER_01: Uh, it's the perfect weather.
- 30:39SPEAKER_01: So uh Brandon IUXman's lackluster, you're gonna see uh a lot of plays going his way, I think.
- 30:47SPEAKER_01: And I can see Kansas City, even though they have a stud secondary, uh, him having 150 yards and a touchdown here tomorrow.
- 30:55SPEAKER_01: So he's gonna go from zero to hero, and he's gonna be fantasy wide receiver in the top.
- 31:02SPEAKER_01: He'll definitely be in the top three tomorrow.
- 31:05SPEAKER_02: He went from zero to hero in week five, and then he just I you know it's hard with with it.
- 31:12SPEAKER_02: That's kind of the same problem you have with the Lions.
- 31:14SPEAKER_02: There are gonna be certain weeks where those studs don't perform, and it's usually just because they have so many weapons that the ball is spread out, spread around a little too much, and that's the same thing with the 49ers, they've got a lot of options, but I hope you're right because I was heavy on Brandon Ayu coming into the preseason coming into the season during preseason.
- 31:33SPEAKER_02: I thought, man, he's not being ranked high enough.
- 31:37SPEAKER_02: And I was wrong, but he can definitely rebound.
- 31:43SPEAKER_01: It's that time of the night, the most hated time of the night.
- 31:46SPEAKER_01: Of course, it's the end of the fantasy fumble.
- 31:49SPEAKER_01: Uh, we really appreciate you folks stopping by, showing us love and support.
- 31:53SPEAKER_01: Don't think we're this obnoxious in real life, okay?
- 31:56SPEAKER_01: We're way more obnoxious, okay?
- 31:59SPEAKER_01: We're just told it down.
- 32:00SPEAKER_01: I'm just kidding, that's not true.
- 32:02SPEAKER_01: Uh, we appreciate the love and support.
- 32:04SPEAKER_01: Joe, what else do we have coming out for these guys?
- 32:06SPEAKER_02: I think you said you have some content you're working on for yeah, just putting a cool video together of two guys from LSU, Jamar Chase and Justin Jefferson, battling back and forth.
- 32:17SPEAKER_02: Just the first six weeks.
- 32:18SPEAKER_02: I know that uh Justin Jefferson was on a bye last week, but the first five games for him and the first six games for Jamar, uh, them just putting up some big plays and some touchdowns, just going back and forth with some mob deep play in the background.
- 32:35SPEAKER_02: So you can comment on that video.
- 32:36SPEAKER_02: Who you think is gonna finish with more touchdowns, Jamar Chase or Justin Jefferson?
- 32:42SPEAKER_01: I think I know where everybody's leading, but um, you know, they may be surprised.
- 32:47SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 32:48SPEAKER_01: I traded Jamar, I trade actually I traded Justin Jamar Chase to you uh for CD, and so far it's looking like you're winning that trade by far.
- 32:58SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but that that could change in uh in a matter of two weeks drastically, so you never know.
- 33:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah, don't worry.
- 33:06SPEAKER_02: I'm but yeah, that's all I gotta say is just continue to check out the player profiles and the other content we upload and let us know if there's anything you want to see.
- 33:18SPEAKER_02: If even if if it's a highlight video of one of your favorite players, even from back in the day, that that content will help us, so I'd be happy to do it.
- 33:27SPEAKER_01: All right, guys.
- 33:28SPEAKER_01: Thank you so much.
- 33:29SPEAKER_01: We'll see you next week.
- 33:30SPEAKER_01: Same time, same place.
- 33:32SPEAKER_01: You guys have a good one, all right?
- 33:34SPEAKER_01: See you later.
