- Liam: Welcome to the Forth and T podcast with Jamie and myself, Liam. So week one, football's back. How you feeling, Jay? Jamie: I'm feeling good, mate. obviously we'll get into the Panthers later, but the rest of it, exciting week of football. Properly back. Hundreds of points scored. Loads of touchdowns, loads of talking points. Not a bad week. Liam: Yeah, I mean, the games, unreal it's back. I've been waiting for this. And you to it did not fail to hit the mark. I feel like week one is normally a bit of a like, okay, we're getting there. We might we're gonna show a bit of promise. But this week, full noise. Jamie: got off to a flyer, didn't it? I mean I mean, I don't know if you watch NFL Red Zone straight away, but I mean the program died, didn't actually work for about five, ten minutes. But when it did was on fire. Liam: Fireworks. good stat that I saw for this week was the Bowl there was the most scored in a week one. Jamie: Ooh. Okay. Do you want another stat? Liam: I would live under the staff. Jamie: We had two scorigamis well this week. Liam: Go on, go on. For those that don't know a s what a scoregami is, myself. Jamie: ⁓ if I remember Do you what scoring army is? It's ⁓ it's a unique ⁓ okay. Oops. Yeah. Of which would you believe it? I mean, the Panthers are obviously one of them and I forgot what the other one was, but there was two this week. Liam: L no, let me try. Let me try. Yeah, it's a unique final score, isn't it? One that's never had been Yeah, yeah, cool. Right. I w I did know. Mate, love that from mate. Good fact from you. Quick one. Yeah. So before we just jump into it, this is our review show. is gonna come out once a week, and we're gonna do a real quick summary of ⁓ the games that happened in the game week, followed by who we think are the winners and the losers each week, according to the fourth and tee part. but quickly, Jamie, how was your weekend? Jamie: Fun times. There you go. Makes a change. ⁓ it was good. can't complain. I because of the Sunday, but I mean the rest of it was great. It was great. I'm currently sitting in the forest. ⁓ for the ⁓ for the audio listeners, just a load of trees behind me. And and yeah. How how was your weekend? ⁓ Liam: Yeah. Yeah, very good. I mean, in the true spirit of Fourth and Tea Pod, we are both You know, flights on Saturdays, flights on Sundays, driving on Sundays. We're there and everywhere. So we're four fourth pod, four pods in, three pods done from different locations and holidays. So we're really on a roll with this and like I I'm looking forward to where we actually get into the flow of just Jamie: Yeah. Yeah. Liam: Getting through each week. Jamie: Yeah, I think we've got a few more weeks till we get to that point. maybe next review show actually. Nah, another holiday. Next review show should be normal. Liam: ⁓ have you got some news for me? Yeah, nah, the next review show. So for week two's games, we will be in full home stadium, comfortable, our own bathroom, our own bed. works. So apart from that, Jamie, week one games reviewed by us. Let's get into it. So this week we're gonna start with. The Patriots at the Seahawks. were you there? Were you up late for that kickoff game? Jamie: So missed three quarters. So didn't actually miss anything from Seattle. So I actually I saw the whole of the S the I saw the whole of the Seattle Seahawks in the game. So that's that's main positive. How how did you make it being a being a part Seahawks fan? Liam: I made a good amount of it. Yeah, I made it much a Seahawks fan, thank you for that little dig. I know what? First game, Super Bowl I was a bit nervous. That little nervous creeping in. What if the Patriots have got better? What if the Seahawks have regressed? And I didn't have worry too much. I think even though Sam got injured I think was the fifth. Seahawks play, and I think at least two of those were running plays. He got he got sacked and he he went down, landed in the on the turf and he's hurt his hip. He's gonna be out for next week as well. Drew who I know you love, and I can see you smiling already. ⁓ He up to he stepped up to the plate and he exactly enough. We said this before about the Seahawks. You have a good championship winning defense. Jamie: Yeah. What a boy what a boy. Liam: For a reason, you bring in Drew Locke, who then can the fort, get enough plays done. Jackson Smith and Jigba's taking it to the house. What player, by the way. Like again, potential regression candidate doesn't look it to me. What a getting it done with with Drew Locke. And then you know, the Patriots are in it, we've got a good defense, and the dark side shut them down, and you know what. Came away very happy. Jamie: I cannot believe that last play still. I d i even his press conference after Drake Mays said that he he he a he tried to throw it out of bounds. J Yeah, yeah. Just get it out. You you've got you've got a field goal to make it go over to overti ⁓ go to O T like I believe it. Liam: Did he say that? Yeah, I mean. There's something about these players, and maybe that's why I'm not an NFL player. I mean, we spoke about me being an NFL player before, but ⁓ maybe this is again why I'm not. But I think some guys they just back themselves and they want to do something. They're not gonna say, yeah, we'll get through this field goal to get to the end. We're gonna just we're gonna win. And they just back themselves. And I think there's something there whereas like watching I'm like, why wouldn't you do that? But He hasn't he didn't he didn't so Jamie: I mean hindsight's great, isn't it? I mean I would have kicked it, but like you said they tr why not try and win it? But now you're thinking, alright, now I'm Norton One and I've just been done for three interceptions in a game. Liam: Three interceptions. But mate, CLD to the Seattle defense, it was never gonna be easy. But yeah, my beautiful Seahawks. trotting on along to week two. Arizona. see how that goes. It's gonna spicy one to ru to ⁓ preview, actually. So yeah, but still no buzzing for them. So then ⁓ to down ⁓ down under. Jamie: And and Liam: so Jamie's watching the Niners play the Rams in in the Landown on that. Jamie: Yeah. The landown and what a game. I mean, well, in a in a way, obviously first ⁓ first regular season game in Australia 27-7 to the OAPs, ⁓ the 49ers. ⁓ quite to be honest. I think it the whole talk in the whole of the summer has been I think even us did. We got we might have got sucked into it. Was this star-studded Rams are gonna win it? They're the favourites, every single poll that you see or Liam: In a way. Yeah. Jamie: think that you know ESPN or CBS or whatever put up it's Rams are the favourites for the Super Bowl. And they got smacked. got beaten up. And do you know what? Gotta admit You were absolutely spot on last week in your preview, right? So the we obviously you pr I previewed you and then you added in saying about the flights. What are they doing? It Liam: I'm s I'm so glad I said it because it's it just feels so true now. Like how are you landing from a whatever hour flight with like six hours and then gonna play an NFL game? Like it's actually ridiculous. Jamie: I know it it's spot on. Yeah. Yeah. Twenty eight hours they spent. Twenty eight whole hours they spent in Australia. Liam: It like that's insane. Jamie: Yeah absolutely mental. And the forty nineers, you know, obviously they they got away from the substation, they didn't have any other injuries while in in the ladder down under. And ⁓ you know, I I I do have a go at Brock Purdy being a system quarterback, but I mean I've got his stats here 'cause, you know, while on the phone. Twenty five of thirty four, two hundred and five yards, three touchdowns, obviously the obviously the the Purdy interception that he's guaranteed every game. And you got his shirt behind you, but Mike Evans was unbelievable again. Liam: Ha ha. Jamie: What a safety blanket to have. Liam: 'Cause now I mean Stribling's out, but you you've got I feel like they've got more threats than ever on the Niners. I mean Stribling's hurt, I don't know how long he's out for, but like he was looking promising, you've got Evans, you've got McCaffrey if he's not gonna get injured. This is worrying. Jamie: I do as well. Yeah. That's the thing. I mean, you talk about the forty nineers, every single time it's if they don't get hurt, if they don't get injured, they'll probably be there or thereabouts. But the way they beat up the Rams and now Miles Garrett's now out, you know, he got done by Trent Williams. man handled by big Trent Williams, right? ⁓ was unbelievable, wasn't he? ⁓ Garrett didn't have a sniff. I mean, Miles Garrett had more tackles than I did. You know, yeah, sorry, the exact same tackles as I did, which was ⁓ which Liam: Mate, he had a great game, Trent Williams did. I know, I know. So I was gonna say, Jamie, I don't I don't know if he was playing on the NFL this weekend. Jamie: obviously had more. You know. Yeah. Yeah. I'll play well. yeah, I'll be at he had zero. Fantastic. Aaron Donald obviously isn't fit. that now just a bit more weird of a move. But I mean we'll see where he's gonna be at the next few weeks anyway. But yeah, twenty seven seven, forty nine is a great win. And not very good start for Rams, but I think they did lose their li their first week last season and they went on be okay, so I don't see how they don't bounce back. Liam: Who Who knows? I all can say, massive upset. Great for me. And if you're also into the Rams, superstar team like me, fantastic. So cool. Next game. First red zone period of the year. We've got the six PM UK time. That is obviously red zone games. Well not red zone, just NFL games. So we're gonna jump into Buccaneers at Bengals first. So I'll do a bit of summary. think We went into this thinking loads of high-powered offense, potentially defenses on the rise, really we're gonna be like, it's the offenses dictating, and it's gonna be the defenses who can just not be as terrible that get it done. In truth, what turns out was that both Of every e both teams had roughly average all units, Baker May Mayfield made more mistakes, which that the Bengals defense were getting bits done and getting turnovers, which just gave the Bengals way more than the Bucks had to convert, in my opinion. I mean, Baker Mayfield doing these little runs with his little shift of his shoulders. ⁓ Doing that little sidestep then getting that ball punched out over the line for a turnover is just killer, you know. Jamie: It it looked so good for a a couple of seconds. I couldn't believe it. Yeah. Liam: I mean he gets he basically does it at the end of the game for that last touchdown that he scored. So you've got Baker. was the catalyst in this game for me. Like had this is a turning point season for Baker and for Joe. Since then, Baker got signed. He's not hustling, but The mistakes by Tampa let them down. Neither defense looked amazing, but they were both showing up with big pivotal plays, which I think maybe is better than what we actually previewed. And then the offences looked like they looked okay. Like you you're crying if you you got Chase in your fantasy as your third overall pick, or I don't know, depending on your format, higher. ⁓ you're crying. I mean, not many people did much. wasn't doing much as well on the book side. Like do like you know, he was there in the game, but I don't know, not not as productive. I think it was nice to see Bucky Bucky Irving turn up. Like he turned up ⁓ I I don't know how how much were people expecting from Bucky after the way that last season ended. So yeah, overall, decent game. Jamie: Not as productive. Liam: But I'm worried for both teams. I haven't come out of this thinking that both teams are looking like they're gonna do a lot down the down the road. Jamie: Yeah, totally. I mean Joe Burrow did a was it an inception as well in this game? It it was the throw that he made was horrific and I thought ⁓ no. Liam: Yeah. It was bad. Yeah. All the commentator was saying that that's the kind of play that defenses run to try and trick rookies into throwing interceptions and Joe Burrow just threw it like like textbook. So yeah. Jamie: Good. Liam: not good. I mean Chase Brown though looked like a good fantasy asset. Again, like I said, we expect this maybe, but Chase Brown looked good for the for the Bengals. I personally do love both of these teams as well. I I haven't walked away going how like, you know, if Baker isn't doing all these turnovers, what does that game look like? I think that's a massive you know, I think it's like three inceptions or like three turnovers in the first half and you go Jamie: And the game was still close. Liam: And the game was still close. I mean, obviously Burroughs had one as well. So yeah, think the c you know, the Bengals are gonna say, we got out of this one with a win. Both teams are gonna look forward. They're both gonna wanna ⁓ back. They both showed enough to to that believe they're competitive with better luck. But man, I think there's a lot that this is one of the games that I think there needs to be they they're gonna come back say we need to work on quite a bit. So yeah. Jamie: game. ⁓ Liam: Right, next game. We need a transition noise. put it on the to do list. Bears Jamie's Panthers. Jamie: Well, positives, this is the best or some of the best offensive Panthers play I've seen since ⁓ VP Cam Newton. Right. I I've got I mean some of the stuff Bryce Bryce Young, three hundred and sixty one yards, three touchdowns, the interception was at was just five seconds to go at the end of the first half, so like he's just chucking it down, trying to find whatever we can to get some points after the muff punt by Jimmy Horn. my goodness. Our defense, it it we have got so many good pieces with one of the worst defensive coordinators possibly in the history of the NFL. two years ago, Panthers we conceded most points ever on defense the history of the NFL in a single season, and he's still here. DJ, I mean Everrow, I mean like what what are we doing? What are we doing? Ugh. Liam: Yeah. Jamie: It's fine. We only conceded fifty nine. we scored th but but we score we scored thirty seven. so it's I I Williams looked like an ⁓ VP candidate and I hate it. Right. It it me. I don't think the Bears are actually that good to the point of scoring fifty nine on people. I know Ben Johnson's come out and said he wants to he wants to basically have the highest scoring offense in the history of NFL, right? Good start. Liam: That's the only thing, you know, I think there's no trying to kill the clock. There is only high scoring thoughts, which is maybe where where this game ended up going. think that might be a bit of a saving grade. Like I think the Panthers can walk away saying, you know, I've I feel okay about the Panthers. And now I look back and go, I don't I you convinced me to back the pack back the Panthers in my prediction. What was we thinking? But you know Jamie: What we think it Liam: And also, we've just mentioned the Bucks and the Panthers. get onto the Saints, we'll get into the Falcons. A full ⁓ for the losses the division of the NFC South. was he backing the Bears in the first place? Jamie: There's a trend. Yeah. I honestly don't know. I mean, you look we go through all the weapons as well they've got on offence. But then again, like Panthers turned up on offence. So it's it's such a weird one. Something like Jalen Coke turned up, rolled his ankle, could be out for next week. very president. Tech McMillan didn't really get used. Tuba was productive when we needed him round it round ⁓ red zone. we looked all right. Tommy Tremble played well as well, tight end. But for the Bears, like they didn't really use their tight end. But Dunsey barely got like so you so you got Loveland Zero points on fantasy, zero reception, zero targets, right? You've got Adunzi, less than seven points on fantasy. Great pick by me. Thank you very much. Right. And then if y you've got Swift. I mean, my good I mean, I think me or you could have had a had a rush and probably got about fifty yards against Panthers on Sunday. honestly, the running defence was shocking. Penalties cost us as well. but that what's his name? Menagi Min Liam: Munangai. Munangai. Munangi. Jamie: He looks unbelievable, Mulungui. He looks unbelievable. But against Panthers. Liam: He's good. He is good no, I think he's a good two. Jamie: Yeah, good piece behind behind Swift. That's a good one two punch. Liam: Yeah. Yeah, I think p bears phoo hoo. We're gonna have to watch out for the bears, you know? So Jamie: Do you know do you know what the I think was it Madden or someone like that put like Bowl chasing teams and it had six teams and Bears was one of them. I just can't picture the Bears near it. But now I'm like if offense performs like that every week. Liam: Hear me now, Jamie. up for the Bears all time scoring season. Jamie: I'm up for that. Liam: I think you and it suits you because it means that the Panthers won't be an outlier. Jamie: Dr do you remember when the Saints with Derek Carr scored like sixty points on week one or week two, something like that, and they ended up being one of the worst teams in the NFL that season? Liam: Yeah, yeah, I mean you're over there. Well, I mean, a good comparison is n a team hasn't scored this many points in one since Lamar Jackson's breakout year, which I think no, I want to risk the date. But they have haven't scored this many. I don't know, week one since ⁓ MVP. Unanimously voted MVP Lamar Jackson. Jamie: I'm hoping for it. I'm praying. Mm. Liam: I don't see Caleb Williams that way, but numbers are the numbers. Jamie: He he can run, he can throw. Liam: You can run. yeah. Okay. Bears, big winners. Next game. Browns at the Jaguars. So not lots we're gonna say on this one. The Jaguars ⁓ here. I love them anyway. It's confirmation bias. They're good. On the other side of the equation. The Browns 100% worst TV football. It's comical. bad. And I was wishing this upon them. I'm even feeling bad at this point, but I'm not. I was wishing upon them. So yeah, not much say. I'm not gonna say much about the Browns. I mean, the couple of bits I did see. There's a couple of rookies making set mistakes as well, like Conception Conception. I've only ever heard people say. Jamie: Hor horrific. Nothing. ⁓ Except. Liam: I've only ever heard people say it like that, so I'm going with it. Conception, like dropping the ball as well when he's making catches. So like things like that don't help. Like Cassidy and I thought they had good weapons. But on the other side, Trevor Lawrence didn't even use his legs today. I think he got about three yards then he's looking good. He some the passes he threw into like tight windows for some of those like touchdowns things, amazing. Parker Washington, like clearly was the number one. Jamie: Yeah. Liam: But like, you know, he's taking in seeds, scoring touchdowns, looking good. He also was using Brian Thomas, Myers, the running was going, like everything was working. So like I'm still all in on the Jags and loving it. just that maybe the Browns are terrible. So maybe we need to ⁓ hold off on judgment. But yeah, I mean, the Browns quarterback situation, let's see how that sticks together. I mean ⁓ surely at this point, your fans just don't even want him to start Deshaun Watson. That is, Shador has just got to get it at some point. I think maybe they're just gonna wait for Vives to be so bad with Deshaun that Shador looks like, well, we can't go back. He looks okay. So and that's it from me. The Jag's gonna roll on and yeah, looking forward to more of them. Jamie: Yeah. No, I was just looking at the Brown schedule to see who they're gonna win against. They have got the Titans soon, so maybe. And they have got to play the NFC South, and that is a brilliant division, so they've probably got no chance. No, I can't see it either. Liam: Can't see it. Write me a storyline how a Deshaun Watson Browns wins a match. Jamie: Did you not see that throw you made though to make it ten thirty four? throw. When when Jacob has had their second string on, they actually they gave up 'cause they were winning by so much. Liam: Mean. I mean, yeah, I think, you know, if you'd have missed the first ten minutes of the game, I think you'd have come back and gone, Wow, it's done. Jamie: Do you know what? If i if the Bears were playing the Browns in that attitude ride, we're gonna just score as many points as we possibly can. They probably get over seventy five, right? Liam: Easy. Easy. So yeah. Yeah, I agree. ⁓ cool. Right, we'll jump to the next one. Team of the pod, the Ravens the Colts. Jamie: Yeah. They probably do. Probably do. Yeah. Wow. Forty one twenty-three to the fourth and T team. Baltimore Ravens. Lamar Jackson again looking like an MVP from this performance. ⁓ three three like people keep saying he can't throw the ball. Three hundred and twenty four yards against a not a bad Colts defence to the right side. And then you've also got we've also got Derek Derrick Henry as well. Yeah, yeah, go on. Liam: The Colts sorry, the Colts I wanna just defense looked okay. I actually think they look hungry and they look physical. Like I think they look pretty good. So Jamie: It did. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. And the and the Ravens thought forty one points. Derrick Henry hunching forty odd yards. Liam: Crazy. Yeah. No, go go into Derrick Henry, please, 'cause ho ho ho ho ho the king. Jamie: My god, what a performance. Thirty-two years old, which obviously is very young compared to us, you know, very young and fresh and able, you know, ⁓ know ⁓ chicken, you know. So ⁓ he ⁓ Liam: Ho ho ho spring chicken, you know. Spr that's a n n pardon nickname, spring chicken Derek, you know. ⁓ Jamie: definitely a sound we can get in that as well. That would be a good one. he was good. All the weapons were firing. Zay Flowers, hundred and fifty yards in the first half, done his hamstring, don't know the extent of the injury yet. That's the only downside of the win. But they ⁓ I mean they I think they totaled like five hundred plus yards on offense for for the Ravens. It was bulldozing Colts. They look they were hanging in a little bit, but they just didn't have enough to stay with the Ravens. But Liam: You know what? Colts, I think will be interesting to see how they go. They obviously had good start to last season. This season, New Year, different pressure. I was pleasantly surprised by them. And I think they've come up against a know, well, we're gonna come on to the Chargers bit later, but you know, he came from the Chargers. Their defense looks shocking. They've now he's now come to be the head coach of the Ravens. People are wondering, you know, is it gonna work? Harbor's gone, now he's come back to the Ravens, bringing that big defense and it just he's gonna I think, you know, he's reinvigorated the offense as well. I mean, yeah, Ravens just they're gonna be rolling. A coup some of these AFC like big matchups are gonna be awesome this year when they get there, especially when we get to like the playoffs. So yeah. Cool. So next game. Sorry. Jamie: Is it a good one? I can't remember who's next. Liam: Sorry Jamie. Did a mark no no no I've got it written down. Saints at Lions. ⁓ alert guys, we made it through. We both picked the Lions as our survivor team. Jamie: Okay. ⁓ yeah. Liam: Surviving's definitely the word. I mean, this game did not go how expected, Jamie. Jamie: Wow. I mean Wow. E that was the that was the easy pick for us by the way to get through sleeper week ⁓ to get through our week one of ⁓ Survivor, like Liam: Yeah. So do you just want you just want to make sure you get through with pick the Lions to win. I mean he's a guaranteed win. I mean, what can you say about this game? The Saints turned up in a way that I don't think I thought they had in them, which is quite scary for the rest of the ⁓ and one NFC South. but think the Lions Jamie: Easy guaranteed win. Liam: Look like they built into it. They probably maybe look like one of the most pre-season or like post-preseason teams that came out this week one. The Saints played physical football. the Lions defense held up their end of the bargain though. Like I thought that, you know, some of the plays they were making definitely kept them in the game. Branch this incredible Spider-Man celebration, which I love. And he turned up to the stadium before the game with his kid. Both doing the Spider Man pose for all the cameras. And I just thought, you know what? That was actually just I don't know if I mean to all that sometime, like not but doing the poses but in outfit with your kids, looks cool. Like, don't be cool. Your kid loves Spider Man, so do you, you know. Maybe have to cut that superhero from the pod. Who knows? But anyway, there we go. But I don't know if you've got any highlights from the game that you lie, Jamie. Jamie: Looks cool. C compared to it Yeah. last play, I mean, w we said it actually with the the Pat Patriot Seahawks game of of why we're not quarterbacks is the going to try and win the game, right? And you think like they could have taken a tie if the Saints really wanted it. You know, it was there for the Saints to just be like, Do you know what? We'll just level it up in overtime, we'll just take the tie, whatever and they thought, Do you know what? We're here, let's make history. It would have been the biggest comeback and it would've been the biggest loss realistically for the for the Lions as well from the size of lead. But thankfully, as a as an NFC South fan of a different team, I the Saints to lose. And thankfully they did. So Tyler that that that last play, I can't quite believe ⁓ what the play I don't know what the design was meant to be. It had to be millimeter perfect, that throw. he had no chance making it. As soon as he snapped the ball, he was dead. And that's how it happened. Liam: Yeah, I mean there you go. Lyons Lyons coming away. I mean Aman Rado stepping up. He's just he's a bit of a GOAT. Jameer Gibbs like ninety three point five ⁓ trying remember my stats. Ninety three point five ish. I'll ish, but it's ninety three point five I'm sure of the carries through him. They're gonna work him like a true workhorse ish yeah. I mean, Pacheco's gonna come back, but maybe I think they just they said they're gonna do it and it looks like they're gonna do it. So you've you know, you've still got the of Obviously Goff had little bit troubles, but you know, I think that's gonna be fine. He said after the game, you might say it was equal teams today, but better by one play, and we'll take that. I'm gonna build. So I'm just gonna take it, leave it at that, and just say. ⁓ Saints look better than expected. The Lion the Lions got the result they expected. And I'm gonna leave it there. I think that's that's the best way to summarise it. But I mean, fascinating highlights to watch. Great overtime win by the Lions, ultimately. So yeah, a little bit sweaty. Jamie: Can I can I chuck in some breaking news? there you go. forty eight minutes. running back, Isaiah Pacheco ⁓ Pacheco has had back surgery, will miss ⁓ significant time, several months out for the Lions. ⁓ Liam: Go ⁓ how breaking? The timing 48 minutes ago. It's not quite breaking, J, but it's breaking for us. And I love, hey, we've it's our first breaking news. We've got to get used to that. No, you know what? Well, just like we said, Gibbs is gonna be that workhorse. I mean, people that picked him up in fantasy for the 101 pick for a reason, and that's what's turning out to happen. So yeah. Cool. Next game, Bills at Jamie: There you go. Liam: Texans, what a doozy. Jamie: What a game this is. I mean, so 36 31, Bills, Josh Allen being made to be superhuman. As we said last week, like how much can he put his body on the line to make plays? And my goodness, he put his body everywhere again to win this game. CJ Stroud actually played all right as well. He went toe to toe. But my goodness, that that I can't remember what player it was. I think it was Blankenship. ⁓ when he goes to try and make the interception or it goes to DJ Moore who then just runs it in basic kills the game. And that I that well, he wins the game in that play. Well, almost I guess play before. But then you've got they should have had an interception. they should have won the game. The Texans. Liam: I think any other quarterback, any other quarterback, I think that gets intercepted. I think it's just that Josh Allen is that much of a freak that the Josh Allen show actually came came out here. And I think the Texans should be you know, n y they don't have to play Josh Allen every week. And he still was in the game. You know, CJ Stroud just you know, Jamie: Yeah. Liam: Was it like throw it out or kill the clerk or whatever it was? I think he had to do just don't get sacked, and he gets sacked at the very end. He's yeah, strip sack. ⁓ yeah, yeah. I think he's looked, just don't get sacked, and then he gets strip sacked, just to make doubly sure. But I think on that front, he looked better. You might argue that the problem of clutch plays are the problem for him, though, which is what that was at the end. But the offense did bits. Jamie: Trip sacked. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Liam: choose maybe feel thought that they might not be able to. So think it's good vibes all round, even in loss. I walk going, the Texans are quite good still. Like I it's it's not like the books or even the I came away thinking the Texans is probably better than both of them. So ⁓ you know Jamie: Texas all right. ⁓ yeah. Yeah, yeah. No, definitely. But but Josh Allen, yeah, ninety six yard game winning drive, thirty four yard strike, Joshua Palmer as well. And then Kincaid and DJ Moore both got over a hundred yards receiving as well. So weapons, good performance for the Bills. ⁓ but yeah, Texans I think I think they'll be there thereabouts anyway. I think they'll probably go I think they're the best team. who are they? They're my We won't get into it. It's a review show. Liam: review show on that one. ⁓ no you didn't no. Next game. Falcons, Steelers. Falcons at Steelers. Next. No. I think Jamie: No, next go. All right, yeah, cool. Next next go next go, kiss. Liam: Slightly underwhelming game from my point of view. a bit of a dark horse, kind like fantasy opportunities are in there. That's what I'm saying is my highlight from this game. I mean, carried the a lot, he still did his thing for fantasy. He's a wasted asset on this Falcons team. I love him. He's amazing. Aaron Rodgers, though, he pulled the strings enough to manipulate the defence. ⁓ Jamie: Mm. Liam: to actually just get it done. I mean hitting Frymouth in the back back of the end zone. he like potentially a asset. forgotten his name. Pittman. Pittman. ⁓ my god. Yeah. Pittman. Looks like he's clicked with Aaron Rodgers, which I think is good. Like he likes to pick a receiver. ⁓ fact that a new receiver's come in and he's getting targets from him. You know, Frymouth back in the mix. DK Metcalf there or thereabouts. ⁓ think that looks promising to some degree for the Steelers. So I'm not gonna say there was nothing to take from that game. Jamie: Pitman Michael yeah. Liam: You know, Steelers defence doing their thing. They're a good solid unit. mean Jamie: Can we talk about the pick? I mean that that Cooper Rostrow straight to T J Watt in literally in his hands from about what three yards, something like that, when he's we've we've picked him running to the end zone for for Pittsburgh. But that quarterback situation at Atlanta. Liam: Don't I mean that's the thing. Like, you can you even look down on this team? Cooper Rush. He wasn't even in the conversation. So what what do we think? ⁓ I don't know. Like I I'm not w I'm not s I I can't even judge them because ⁓ Jamie: Why why play a rookie throughout the whole of preseason who looks like he's probably gonna get a starting spot if the other two are out and then he's not then co yeah. Yeah, yeah. Liam: The undrafted the undrafted guy that they signed. Yeah. I mean Who knows who knows? Jamie: Atlanta got a Falcon, but thankfully they got the p ⁓ Panthers next. So who knows? There'll probably be a unbelievable next. Liam: So yeah, I mean Drake London's like, you know, his share of the passing game shrank to like tw like closer to twenty percent of targets. And when it's usually like thirty percent, not great for fantasy. You know, Bijon is just like obviously they're just like give it to Bichon. they've got not a lot going on there. yeah. DK was out there a lot, but like I said, other people outperformed him in fantasy. But again, things are working for Aaron Rodgers. win for the Steelers. They're gonna just keep taking and try to pluck up wins. Maybe nice for the Mike McCarthy, Aaron Rodgers reunion. That's a nice storyline. We'll see how that far goes. So yeah. I think next game then. So Jets ⁓ Titans, Jamie. ⁓ we both got wrong. ⁓ Jamie: Well yeah, I I would like to formally apologize to the New York Jets. You're not as bad as Titans. So I think that's a nice I mean, Campbell I I mean, you you do think so. Robert Salah had five ex Jets now playing for him at Tennessee. You think, ⁓ nice revenge game, you got sacked by the Jets, you all those players got moved on to the Titans, you think, Cool, right, here we go, let's get some payback and the Jets were in absolute well, cruise control. For the Jets, right? Gino Smith played well, 215 passing yards. Brees Hall, decent on the ground, 102 yards and a tug and a touchdown. Garrett Wilson did his bits, right? Almost 80 yards as well. Looked all right. The Titans just right? They O horrendous. Tony Pollard, I don't you've got yeah, thirty-five rushing yards, seven attempts. I mean Liam: I thought Tony Pollard looked like he's back a little bit in preseason, but I mean, yeah. I think the Titans looked like if you sh they didn't look like like the Jets to me made it look comfortable. Jamie: I thought he was. I thought he was. Yeah. And like I can't believe a Jets how does a Jets team do that? I've never seen a Jets team in my lifetime do that. So Liam: Intriguing. Some Rex Ryan years, I they did a bit all right. They to the off they to the playoffs. Jamie: Alright, well yeah, we've we've yeah, the but then the the butt fumble, you know. So I mean, you know, Jets gonna Jets. But I mean, Wondale Robinson was Titans top wide receiver for thirty eight yards. So I mean that's Campbell I mean he looked awful. He's running away. I mean there was there was one play he did three yards and he ran backwards. So I mean he just he was running away from all these Jets defenders coming at him. Liam: Yeah. I did I did see Cam Ward do a fake toss up handoff to a running back he then caught it back himself, then sort of did this slow little run forward and got back at the line of scrimmage and it just looked ridiculous. Jamie: I I don't know what's happened to Tennessee because like they they were built Ryan Tannehill, they were building they had something and they've j I don't know, how to kill a franchise in a couple of years. Absolutely incredible. But yeah, won't spend too much time, but yeah, went on Jets, one on ⁓ for the first time then I can remember. Yeah. Liam: Well done, Jets. What Jamie? Well done, Jets. That how we're starting that's how we thought we'd be starting the pod? We're proud. thing is, they're gonna probably me they're probably gonna mess up getting ⁓ they're probably gonna be just good enough to not get that top quarterback that they really do want. But there we go. Different issue. Okay. So next game, and we're going into the late slot. Jamie: Well done, Jets. I'm proud I'm I'm I'm proud of you. Yeah. Liam: I marked it. We might I but we might need to I think churn it up. I think we've been going turns out we're going over way way more over two minutes. I know. This is why we need to come up with a timer to like go somewhere. But yeah. Anyway, I'm actually it does cut down and then I think, but we'll just get this we'll just we'll actually just work out a timer visual. It won't be hard because it'll be one of the ones we could just slap in the middle that just sits here. But yeah, don't worry, I'll I'll a look at that. cool. Jamie: Nice. Yeah, I think just go. Thing is, we just love chatting about an NFL. Yeah. I'll cut it down anyway to a decent amount, but yeah. Yeah, yeah. Liam: I'm gonna mark it and go back in. Or marked it already. So I'm gonna mark it again. 3, 2, 1, mark. Okay, Jamie, the late schedule. First game we're gonna go into the at the Eagles. ⁓ So quickly cover this one. I thought very interesting Commanders showed up in a way I didn't expect, but potentially because. The Eagles maybe also didn't show up in a way I'd to expect. ⁓ the Eagles ended up winning this game. I thought they looked competent on offense. And thought that the Eagles defense looked good. What I didn't expect was for much at from the Washington offense defense. They were able to do. ⁓ Enough Washington was like they got digs involved in the passing game, which I don't know if I thought that would happen, especially when Terry McLaurin basically did did next to nothing. So that really that really surprised me. Krosky Merritt as well had a nice little had an okay, nice little day. Jaden Daniels like a threat, which we kind of expect. I think they would they would do a lot more. Jamie: Nothing. Liam: against teams that aren't the Eagles defense, which I did actually think put in a good shift, shutting them down. on the other side, the the commanders' was a lot better than I I thought they would be. And it made Eagles offense look like it had to work. But ultimately the Eagles offense actually did achieve I feel like some of the things that it wanted to do. ⁓ They unlocked Devonta and I think there was some nice deep connections there. They used him quite deep in the passing game. I believe it's like three reception. Three like big receptions for like over fifty yards. So like he was receiving some some pa passes like twenty plus yards downfield. I think that looked quite nice. The running game was there. So I think really solid all round. I think we're just gonna be learning about these teams for the first couple of weeks. And I think actually the commanders are gonna ⁓ threaten other teams in this I think. So not useless. I just think that the Eagles are very competent and very yeah, it's a very good team performance from them. Jamie: Yeah, one hundred percent. I think well Jaden Hurt's got three touchdowns passing as well, so I think it looked good. I that but Liam: Yeah. Sorry, and that yeah, that is you know what? I should talk more on my podcast with you, Jamie. So my pot our podcast. panicking. ⁓ no. But like yeah, Jalen Hurts, the system looked like it worked for him. Again, is this because it's a not a good Washington defence? I don't know, but the system looked like it worked for him. So there we go. Cool. Jamie: Mate, you own it, it's fine. ⁓ Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. The commanders are slightly better than I thought they would be. And that's that's the biggest compliment I can pay them. And they could have tied it up at the end as well, but the two point conversion. So I mean Liam: And I thought that they they could have been the they I thought potentially there's a world where if they didn't have the quarterback they're the worst team in the league. But I don't think that's the case after this game. So maybe they should just take that from this game and they should build from there. any other comments? ⁓ ⁓ Let's go Eagles wanna know. Okay, so Packers at Vikings, Jamie. Jamie: No, we're on Eagles. Easy one I know. Yeah. so my my tip was to not start Kyler Murray and that was actually quite good. ⁓ obviously, he gets well soon. Only concussion, walked off the field by himself, should be okay. ⁓ give him a couple give him a week. It was alright. Who needs him? Carson Wentz turns up, just turns the game around, it's fine. Packers with probably the biggest bottle job from a performance I can remember. Me Liam: Great tip. Again. Jamie: I I go far and say biggest bottle job this season, already in in one. Jordan Love, right, threw the ball three hundred and eighty-seven yards, two touchdowns, really poor interception, only fifty percent completion as well, right? So that is not that good you think about it, right? Running game is non existent. Highest running highest rusher for the Packers, thirty seven yards. ⁓ Marshawn Lloyd, no touchdowns either. Christian Watson had all of his yards and all of his touchdowns in the first half. But it's a game of two arts. It's a game of four quarters, actually. And the Packers the Packers led 22 10 and the end up losers game 39 22. Skorigami. That is the second scorigami. Was that the second scorigami, 39 22 to the Vikings? The Packers just absolutely imploded. They couldn't handle the defence from the Vikings. When they got going, the sound of the Liam: That's the second score of army. Jamie: the stadium they the the horns going off it was they couldn't hack it they couldn't hack it and twenty was it twenty two un or twenty nine well yeah no twenty two unanswered points just relentless from from Minnesota and they where they win this game where twenty nine ⁓ twenty nine unanswered sorry. Liam: What's it that? Do do do that's it. Is that how much it was? It was twenty-two unanswered p points. Twenty-nine unanswered points. that's actually mad, isn't it? Jamie: The Vikings scored twenty one points in under three minutes. Liam: Unreal and maybe then you know maybe this I so your tip was to avoid Kyler Murray. My tip was to avoid anything Green Bay. Jamie: And yeah. three hundred. I mean John loved I think he but he put up some good numbers. But he also did bottle it. He also did bottle Liam: You know what? He sorry, yeah. So again, I think this was my worry though. What does it all look like and come together as this year? Less about fan in that sense, less about fantasy, more about what does it actually look like. So we go. Next game, Jamie. You ready? Are you ready for this one? Jamie: Who have you got? Card ⁓ Cardinals. Yeah, I love this one. Liam: Cardinals at Chargers. What can we say? I mean, one thing I'm gonna say for certain is that this if not the biggest bottle job of the week, is definitely the biggest disappointment. And only not a bottle job because the Chargers didn't even bother to show up. I mean, going on in LA? There's something in the water. The Chargers just they Jamie: Yeah. Wow. Liam: Day, I mean not to not talk about the Cardinals, but the Chargers just didn't look like they showed up. They didn't look like they could do much. They had their first drive, they hit Lab McConkey times, you know, reliable hands, lots of yardage, I think 60 plus yards on the first drive. And then they had Amari Hampton glide it in, looking fantastic. You think bang, the Chargers are here. And then the Cardinals start playing. Because that's when the Cardinals turned up. And that is when Jacoby Brissett just was like, I'm just slinging. I'm hitting McBride. I'm hitting the boys. We're slinging this and they're hitting and they're going up. Then the defence is turning up. Like Herbert just didn't look like a top of the range quarterback. He not you know, would you think that those two quarterbacks were not drafted in a similar draft position? Yesterday. Jamie: Yeah, I mean I do feel sorry for her but because y what w like part of Labakonki who's now I he injured as well, didn't he, in the game. So he he he Liam: So yeah, Mla McConkey, he went down and it didn't look great. He looked like he looked like he's gonna be a bit hurt. Jamie: No. So they're like and then Hampton, I mean, Hampton fumbled, didn't he, as well in the first half? And Herbert, I mean, he had no ch no time. There's one clip where you had charger offensive offensive linemen taking on one Cardinal defensive rusher and you had two just totally free running straight to Herbert. You think like, How have they got it wrong again? Liam: Yeah. Well, this is the thing. Everyone's like, yeah, the O-line's back, one of the best O lines. And it just it just he's like, now the middle of the O-line doesn't work. He like how how can you keep getting this wrong? So yeah, I think not a lot to say. I think Cardinals, they've turned up. They're a bit spicy. Tyler Algier, I mean they did sign him. I know they've got Jordan Love, but Tyler Algier led the c led the rushes. It might be because of Love's Jamie: Yeah. And it's not all I I yeah. They go Yeah. Liam: high ankle sprain that he got in preseason. But mean the LaFleur family were all in the crowd watching. And I thought it was quite nice actually, because to be honest, it looked like the only thing happening in the crowd that looked that was the most quiet game since There was barely any fans there. That that I'll tell you now, that the Chargers team will be the team that moves next. Jamie: To San Diego. Liam: Yeah. well Orlanded. Jamie: No one wants charges over here. one wants that. ⁓ Liam: Yeah, b bring back the conversations and bring back the jags. But yeah, I think I don't know, biggest disappointment of the day. Jamie: But on LA chargers. else to add to that. Liam: The LA Chargers. Spot on. LA Chargers, disappointment. Right. Last game of this slate. Dolphins out Jamie, the one everyone's been waiting for. Jamie: Yep, hold on to your hats. the Dolphins lost. ⁓ an absolute who would have thought that? What a surprise. actually looked better than I thought they would. But they were against the Las Vegas Raiders. The Raiders again, like I mean, I did say play cut play Kirk Cousins was my was also my tip, right, for fantasy. I'm just getting just getting his wonderful stats up. ignore the interceptions, three touchdown passes, hundred and sixty passing yards, obviously zero rushes 'cause he can't remove that far. Liam: Yeah. God knock ya. Jamie: But my goodness, Ashton Genty, by the way. is exciting. Now that is a Joe, the Raiders hit they swing and miss on almost every single pick I can remember in the drafts, right? But Ashton Genty's a gem. He is giving ball and make something happen. He can catch it. He can do he can fly in the air. Guy scores Liam: I mean, everyone was crying about his ankle about two, three weeks ago, wasn't they? Thinking he's injured and done for the year. And they were just like, nah, just use him loads. Just him ⁓ See guy with one leg, use him as running back. Jamie: Yeah. He was meant to be i he was meant to be injured for this week. Yeah, let's Yeah, every single play. If he's not if if if he's not rushing, he's catching. Liam: I mean, very relevant to this game. Who would you pick if you was having a team and you get to pick one of these two? Gentee or HN? Who obviously played opposite him? Jamie: Y you pick A Chan, right? Just because of productivity and history, but after this game you think pfft, genty. All day. Exciting. Yeah, you have to. Yeah. When he when he touches the ball he just makes things happen, doesn't he? And ⁓ Liam: I think you might think Genty as well. That's it. Yeah. Genty. mean, no one stood out to me from the Dolphin side, though. Like, I'm not sure who this receiver is that's going to step up. I believe someone will. There's a couple of okay fantasy performances, like, and I really mean okay. ⁓ let's see how that situation develops as well. But ⁓ nothing else, sorry, go on. Jamie: Mm. Yeah, a couple of couple of fumbles. But yeah. No, I was gonna say a couple of fumbles from my from Miami, a couple of interceptions as well, but you know, Malik Willis, he's got no as you said, like weapons wise, he hasn't got much. I think they had one player who was it Douglas, someone like that. I think he got yeah, Douglas got about ninety four yards but no touchdowns on seven targets, thirty five yards after catch as well. So like most of them most of the productivity was running after catching the ball. But yeah, it's gonna be a bleak season for the Dolphins and Raiders are off to a winning start. Liam: Have the ra are we worried about the Ravens doing well? Jamie: The Raiders. Liam: Yeah, sorry, the Ravens are good. The Raiders Jamie: no, they won't do that well. No, no. No. They're they'll they'll be f they'll they could be fighting the charges for fourth, the third or fourth, so Liam: No. Girl. Right. I mean that that would be so they've got each other next week. And then if they if the Chargers don't win that one, I don't know where the Chargers are getting a win from in the next in the first six games. Jamie: That is h their schedule is horrific. Yeah. The first two games are easy it first two games are easy and winnable. They should win both, right? Liam: It's a bad start, isn't it? It's not what you want with a after a first game of that. Yeah, in air brackets, right? So yeah. Well, good luck, Chargers. So we'll s ⁓ see you next week. Last game then, as doing this before Monday night football, Cowboys at And I'm Jamie, that what that a signature game. Jamie: Yeah. Yeah. You get it. That you did say it was signature game, signature every you loved you sign you you loved everything about it except for the Giants roster. Liam: Signature uniform game, didn't I? Yeah, gonna have to eat my words on that one, aren't I? I mean I I think what I said was if break it down now that if you break it down Jamie: Yeah. Here we go. Yeah. Liam: I was saying Cowboys offense, good, really good. Maybe they've now got a defense. I then said I don't know what the Giants really have. I was like, you've got to pick one great unit to win out. But turns out, right? So me give the Giants some flowers. Jackson Dart, wildly efficient, like a way that I didn't think that. Jamie: Really good. No one expected that. Liam: Yeah, like Jackson Dart, it. After that, you've then got him also running in like an old school way where they're like, actually you're actually just one of our running backs. So you go for it. The we you to Cam Scatterboo run. Cam Scatterboo looking good on the runs. singletary looking good. commentator said You can see very visibly, I mean, obviously he's better at reading defense than me, but he said that the Cowboys have no answer for I think running a flat. So when they chuck it out to the left, look on the flat out to Singletary, he just catches it and runs, and there's like no one in front of him. And I think they did it three or four plays in a row and he scored a touchdown. And the commentator even said, look, they don't know how to defend this. They've not got that plan in place. that's what they did, and they pulled it apart. Isaiah Likely looking like the man that he could have been in Baltimore. I mean, he was looking amazing. and I think he's a much bigger piece of the passing game than I think everyone thought, which might be to the fact that I know who they was gonna pass it to. So yeah. also played. had a couple of good catches. and then this wide running game just was just not being stopped by the Giants. Jamie: Mm-hmm. Liam: There's doing these wide arcing sweeps. I was just like, you know, there's getting physical up front, boshing the Cowboys players out of the way. And they just literally had no answer. It was a it's like a water through a sieve style defense, which you know it's not what you want. on the other side. Dak didn't do in first half, but he pulled it together in the second half. ⁓ He then, like, he two, he only got the ball twice in the second half and scored touchdowns. But then that goes to talk about how the Giants are set up. It reminds me a little bit of like in my head I think a Ravens team should be like. ⁓ defence, but they're having these long, slow drives, killing the clock, turning the sk scoreboard for them. ⁓ it's like, keep up, but we're giving you no time. And Giants, I don't believe, have ever beaten Dak Prescott in a game. Jamie: Yeah. Liam: That matters for playoff contention. So I think they no, sorry, to be clear, they did beat them last year, but it was when it didn't matter. So they haven't been Dak Prescott when it's actually got like any playoff implications on the line ever. So I mean big game, you know what? They're my fl there's my flowers giants. But you know what? The worst def the worst worst unit on the pitch was the Cowboys defense and Jamie: Bit in Matsu, yeah, exactly. Yeah. Liam: That was quite shocking to me. Jamie: The Cowboys do it every year, don't they? It's it's the it's the how about them cowboys and you just America's team and they just never they just never do anything. Every every single time. And you think like you go through the weapons, you go through the defence, good weapons on defence, good weapons on offense, and it doesn't just don't win games. Liam: I also think, and I love CeeDee Lamb, some of the things that was called on him, like pass interference and what wasn't pass interference, like I was a bit like, ooh, feel like the Cowboys are getting the rubber the green with the refs as well. You know? So I think from that point of view Jamie: Mm. Yeah. Liam: I don't know. The Giants really helped. And they just old beat down. You know, they just that was they just they was like, here's some physicality. You can't deal with it and the the Cowboys didn't deal with it. Jamie: Spot on. Spot on, nothing else. There you go. And as as you said, obviously we're doing this before Monday night football, so no Broncos against Chiefs. but yeah, we'll cover it in the next in the next show. Liam: Spot on. They're my flowers for the week. Cool. So Yeah, I mean who have you got in that one, Jamie? Jamie: I got the Broncos ever night. 'Cause even I was going like, ⁓ you know, at Arrowhead Monday night, it's gotta be the Chiefs. So I'm back at the Broncos, you know. Liam: Yeah. I said, you know what? I've got to go with the Chiefs. Let's just see what Patrick can do. Patrick Mahomes, the man. You let's just see it. So last then, just before we close off the pod, we're then gonna go into our next section, which is Jamie's Liam Jamie's Liam. ⁓ J J know. It's Jamie's and Liam's and losers of the week. We pick ⁓ one team. Jamie: Obviously. Yeah. James Liam. There we go. What a section. Liam: or unit that's going to be our winner for the week and one that's going to be our loser for the week. So Jamie, do you want to kick us off with who your winner for the week was? Jamie: My winners the week 'cause I gave them no hope in winning a game for a while, the Neal Jets. Fair play. Right. We'll give ⁓ to him. I know it was only the Titans. Geno Smith coming back for the Jets. Glenn as head coach finally getting a positive record, you know, running down the touch line, celebrating the win at the Bucks and losing the game in the same game a minute later. You know, I still got that in my head. But like fair play, they've actually won a game now. And Liam: Yeah. Jamie: Yeah, they ⁓ they it was the only game where I felt the minus the Jaguars, this team was just in total control on every it for the whole entire game. And that takes some doing at the NFL. Liam: Crazy, right? Yeah, it's these are NFL teams at the end of the day. You ⁓ hard to to to put up that good of a performance. ⁓ yeah. So winner for the week was Eating My Words, the New ⁓ Giants, ⁓ big the G men, you know, ⁓ the boys blue. Like James, he'll join pod within the next couple of weeks. He's gonna be Jamie: Nice. The G men Liam: buzzing. He's been telling me how he's got scientific evidence that they're gonna be the s they're gonna be the second place team the NFC East. So Jamie: Right. Liam: Just trying to think how to disprove that, but I mean, had the cowboys ⁓ Jamie: Was if they finish if they don't finish second. the only way the only yeah, the only way we disprove it. Yeah, they could ⁓ yeah, it could be still be wrong. Yeah, exactly, yeah. Liam: Well that yeah. Maybe they're gonna finish first. But well you wasn't right, James. 'Cause mean, if they played the Eagles now Probably a good game. Jamie: I'd still bat the Eagles, wouldn't you bat the Eagles? Yeah. Liam: I still back the Eagles, but I was backing the Cowboys and look what just happened. I think for such a close game, I actually think that the Cowboys just dominated everything. Not Cowboys, the Giants. And I do that far too often is switch the names of things around. It's crazy. ⁓ But think that they just dominate they just dominated in this physical. So yeah, that's my win of the week. So my loser of the week. We get a bit of reverse little snake draft order. My loser for the week was the LA Rams. super team. The team of destiny. Well, took ⁓ Super champions to be. So it turns out that they're of that. They are they might just be rubbish. It might be the plane flight, but they might just be a bit old and broken. Jamie: The super bold champions this season. Liam: They signed Van Jefferson to bring him back because he knows that offense. But maybe that's actually a bit of a red flag that past Puka Naklua Nakua, past Devontae Adams, maybe they are lacking a bit of, you know, people will be talking about their tight ends, but not like who is gonna step who has and is going to step up. outside of that, I love Kyron Williams, but I don't think he's a game breaker. I don't think. He by himself destroys a game for you. I think if the game plan's working, he's your perfect man. He does it all right. But So I think my my loser of the week are the LA Rams, the super team that flew across the world to show themselves off. And sort of they just into a bit of nothing. ⁓ It was a fire that didn't start. It was a firework that didn't go off. It was a wheel that didn't spin around on the fence and just ⁓ Jamie: Mm. Liam: put sparks onto the door and left you with a a a a stain you have to rub off the next day. I got a bit hard? Jamie: That's really good. no, you've been per that's perfect. That's a gr that's Yeah. Liam: I mean, Jamie, they're bottom of the NFC West after four after all the teams have played. Would you have predicted that? Jamie: No. And it's not gonna get any better for them really, is it? That is that's such a good analogy as well. I guess I I guess my losers from one LA stain to another LA stain, ⁓ the people who rent from the Rams, ⁓ the LA Chargers, they I mean the l they got they could be the big that's that could be the worst thing of the season. It could be the biggest losers of the season. Liam: Ha ha. That could that was bad. Jamie: I think it I I thought they they could have I can't if I put them in my my squint and I can see them making the Super Bowl. I think I did. I think I put them in my top ten of making the Super Bowl. And now I'm thinking any is any player gonna make the Pro Bowl? Probably not. Like what Liam: Yeah. Fourth in the division. No. Jamie: Like what have they like the Chargers have been cancelled this season as well, haven't they? So I mean that's the yeah, dreadful. I mean, Derwin, yeah. Yeah, just for the Chargers. They still don't get anybody in there. Derwin, Derwin James, this best safety, I thought he was I thought he was awful. Dante Jackson, I mean, he was awful for the Panthers years ago. And like he's still getting games in the NFL. I don't understand it. their O line's just embarrassing. Liam: Probile got cancelled, didn't it? Yeah. So let's make a Pro Bowl for you. Yeah. Jamie: the receiving cause awful. I mean Liam: Well, yeah, no lad McConkey. Mate, Quint we've been talking about Quintone on the pod and yeah. Quintone. No, we I've gotta believe in him. He's gotta be one of my guys. I believe in him. Jamie: Quinton Johnston. God. ⁓ It ju I still believe in him because it's sort of like a meme now, isn't it, where you just sort of like I've just gotta just gotta keep back in this Charleston. Liam: Quintone Exactly. I just gonna you know what? I'm gonna yeah, he's that penny machine, I'll be there at the end of day with all those, you know, the old ladies in Vegas. I'll be cashing in on Quinton. Jamie: We don't know you you don't know what the time is. It could be twenty forty six and you're still there backing and be what a wide receiver, what he could have been the best. Yeah. So like he yeah, he is the not just him, sorry, I was gonna say he is the loser of the week. The ⁓ the LA Chargers are the are by far the biggest losers of the week, I think. For me personally. But I d I I'm happy go on, yeah. Liam: He's gonna come back to the NFL soon, yeah. ⁓ You know what? I've got a I've got another submarine.
