- 0:00SPEAKER_00: One of the things that you always grab and go on your way out the door, you're busy, you're getting uh out for work and school is a Pop Tart.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: Pop Tarts just had included claims that their pastries have gotten smaller with less icing and filling.
- 0:13SPEAKER_01: I know why they're inflation.
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: I know why they're doing it.
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: Shrinkflation?
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: Well that, but they don't want to get sued.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: What?
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: Because I think that when you know how there have been certain companies that have been misleading Tex was it, was it Pete's Texas?
- 0:28SPEAKER_01: Why they're admitting it.
- 0:29SPEAKER_01: I thought you meant why they shrunk them.
- 0:31SPEAKER_00: Oh no, no, no.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: Um, was it Pete's Texas hot sauce or something like that?
- 0:35SPEAKER_01: They had a big one.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: And I think that uh more and more companies are going to be admitting certain changes because they don't want to get it.
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: We're we're taking advantage of you.
- 0:44SPEAKER_01: That's what they're basically saying.
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: Yes, exactly.
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: Well, I'm I'm glad you mentioned that because I was just having the worst blonde moment.
- 0:51SPEAKER_01: And sorry if you're blonde, but uh I don't know another way to describe this.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: I almost had a real ding dong moment, okay?
- 0:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 0:58SPEAKER_01: Is that better?
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: Not much.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: DoorDash is out with its annual list of most ordered Halloween candy.
- 1:07SPEAKER_01: I'll tell you what it is in a minute.
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: Oh, one of my girlfriends, she this is so terrible.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: So I don't know how often you DoorDash.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: She lives so I don't.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: She lives so close to a grocery store.
- 1:18SPEAKER_01: Like And she's still so lazy she can't get up and go into the grocery store?
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: Sounds like somebody that only orders pizzas on an app.
- 1:25SPEAKER_01: For what?
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: For Reese's peanut butter cups.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: She DoorDashes.
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: Is that number one?
- 1:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:30SPEAKER_01: Um yes.
- 1:32SPEAKER_01: Have you heard the new Reese's ads?
- 1:33SPEAKER_01: No, but I have to tell you why I was having this ding-dong moment.
- 1:37SPEAKER_01: Oh, what?
- 1:38SPEAKER_01: I was thinking when I'm like, why would DoorDash have a list of their annual Halloween candy?
- 1:44SPEAKER_01: Like, do parents not let their kids trick-or-treat anymore and they just DoorDash their trick-or-treating?
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: Oh, no, I think it's when you're you know this so well.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: You have to go to Lydia's Halloween parade and then Gavin's Halloween parade, and you still need to go pick up cupcakes for their party or whatever.
- 2:01SPEAKER_00: And then by the time you're home, oh shoot, I forgot the candy.
- 2:05SPEAKER_01: That's exactly what it was.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: But I for a minute, I th I was like, what?
- 2:09SPEAKER_01: Parents are door-dashing their kids trick-or-treating and just making them stay at home.
- 2:13SPEAKER_01: No, it's not like that at all.
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: I'm the ding-dong.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: But uh, this is the list of what they get the most calls on.
- 2:19SPEAKER_01: You're right, Reese's number one.
- 2:20SPEAKER_01: Number two is Hershey Milk Chocolate Bar, the traditional.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: Those aren't that great.
- 2:25SPEAKER_01: Goes down the list Eminem, Snickers, Nerds, Skittles, Airheads, Sour Patch Kids, sure.
- 2:31SPEAKER_01: Haribo, that's number nine.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: Oh, I think this generation definitely, or like if you got them like those little bags of Takis.
- 2:38SPEAKER_01: They are a gummy generation.
- 2:39SPEAKER_01: You're right.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: They are.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: That's not my generation.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: I am absolutely the chocolate generation.
- 2:45SPEAKER_01: Oh, me too.
- 2:45SPEAKER_01: Kit Kat was uh last on the top ten, which is good.
- 2:48SPEAKER_01: So you're right though.
- 2:49SPEAKER_01: This is this is a sour uh and a gummy generation that is happening right now.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: I wish I could remember how the new peanut butter commercial went, the Reese's peanut butter commercial, but I remember hearing it the other day and going, that's really cute.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: It was and it revolves around Halloween.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: I wish I wish I could remember.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: You know what's so funny?
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: Speaking of, even my mom DoorDashes.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: I don't know why this seems weird to me, but it does.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: I was telling her that I had forgot a couple things over um just the weekend, and I'd already went to the grocery store X amount of times, and I also want to make chili because it was kind of rainy and yucky yesterday.
- 3:25SPEAKER_00: And she's like, Oh, just DoorDash.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: Like, don't it's so easy.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: Like, don't you have DoorDash on your phone?
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: I'm like, wait, Gail, you have DoorDash on your phone?
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: She's like, Yeah, we DoorDash all the time.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: Like, what?
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: Why does it seem weird that my mom and dad do it?
- 3:40SPEAKER_01: I know, I but I understand what you're saying.
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: But my mom is also, this is where my parents really are young at heart to me.
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: My parents will get like toilet paper and paper towel on it towels on Amazon.
- 3:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they're saving the money.
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: They are the they are the generation that I would not think would do this.
- 3:58SPEAKER_01: But they're doing it.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: That's the weird thing.
- 4:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah, good for your mom, though.
- 4:02SPEAKER_01: I mean, I heard like GS.
- 4:03SPEAKER_01: I give her a lot of credit for that.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: I think it's too.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: What I what I like about it is when somebody, at least I do this as like a gift.
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: If there's somebody who passes, oh door dash food out, yeah.
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: Yes, or if there's somebody who's like in the hospital and I don't I don't know them really well, but I know them well enough that I can say I feel comfortable door dashing.
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: No, that works very well with that.
- 4:23SPEAKER_01: No, it's just it was one of those things I had that moment.
- 4:26SPEAKER_01: I'm like, what?
- 4:27SPEAKER_01: People aren't trick-or-treating anymore.
