- 0:04Speaker 2: Here for You, Here for Good, The Big Show with Chumley, John,
- 0:08Speaker 2: Meghan and Froggy.
- 0:09Speaker 3: Good Morning Megan, Good morning, Good morning, Chumley, Morning, Sir,
- 0:13Speaker 3: Morning John, Morning Frog. How was everybody's Father's Day? It
- 0:17Speaker 3: was good.
- 0:18Speaker 1: I'm kind of in a meat koma today. My wife
- 0:20Speaker 1: fought me the biggest, thickest rabbi.
- 0:22Speaker 2: You know.
- 0:22Speaker 1: I wasn't with my daughter, was the downside. She landed
- 0:25Speaker 1: in France on Fridays. She's studying abroad, so that was
- 0:29Speaker 1: the only bummer on Father's Day.
- 0:30Speaker 4: But I'm excited for with.
- 0:32Speaker 3: I wasn't with my son either, he's up in New York.
- 0:34Speaker 3: But we talked on the phone yesterday watched the little
- 0:36Speaker 3: TV together on the phone, so we spent time as
- 0:40Speaker 3: we could yesterday. How was yours? John?
- 0:41Speaker 2: Oh? It was great. My son was with us and
- 0:43Speaker 2: we were hanging out and having a great time eating meat.
- 0:46Speaker 2: I had pork chops. I made my own pork chops. Oh,
- 0:50Speaker 2: they were so good. And he had a steak because
- 0:52Speaker 2: he's a father as well, and so his kids were
- 0:55Speaker 2: over and we had every We had it all together.
- 0:58Speaker 2: We watched Andy Griffith episode of Andy Grifveth, my favorite one,
- 1:02Speaker 2: who was my favorite TV dad And my favorite episode
- 1:04Speaker 2: of the Man in a Hurry the man from Charlotte
- 1:06Speaker 2: who has to go through on a Sunday and he
- 1:08Speaker 2: learns learns a small town life ain't so bad after all.
- 1:12Speaker 2: It was awesome.
- 1:15Speaker 3: What about yours, Megan? You did you spend some time
- 1:17Speaker 3: with your dad yesterday?
- 1:18Speaker 5: No, because my dad's in Missouri. But I did FaceTime
- 1:22Speaker 5: him and did dad things. We went to bess Pro
- 1:25Speaker 5: and bought some fishing stuff and went to Harley Davidson,
- 1:28Speaker 5: so we did dad stuff even though there's no dads
- 1:31Speaker 5: in my house.
- 1:32Speaker 4: Did you buy your dad a sleeve of school?
- 1:34Speaker 2: I did? Yeah?
- 1:35Speaker 4: I did.
- 1:36Speaker 3: I did?
- 1:37Speaker 6: Uh huh.
- 1:37Speaker 4: We call it a roll though, Okay I didn't, so.
- 1:41Speaker 6: He's got his nicotine.
- 1:43Speaker 3: I love that we do dad things dad. A lot
- 1:46Speaker 3: of times we make fun of dad things, but yesterday
- 1:48Speaker 3: that was the day to do extra dad things. Yes,
- 1:52Speaker 3: did you Okay?
- 1:53Speaker 4: That's a dad thing?
- 1:54Speaker 6: Did you enjoy it?
- 1:55Speaker 2: Actually?
- 1:56Speaker 1: I do enjoy him on the lawn, which is weird
- 1:58Speaker 1: and I wore it sucks.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Yeah, there you go. Okay, I gotta do dad things.
- 2:03Speaker 3: I did dad things on Saturday as well, because you know,
- 2:05Speaker 3: Father's Day is one day, but you could just do
- 2:07Speaker 3: dad things any day when you're a dad and people
- 2:10Speaker 3: can't make fun of you because you are a dad.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Sometimes Lisa will say to me, Dude, you're such a dad.
- 2:14Speaker 3: I'm like, yeah, I'm supposed to be. I've been a
- 2:16Speaker 3: dad for twenty three years.
- 2:17Speaker 2: I'm supposed to do dad things exactly.
- 2:20Speaker 5: Froggy is definitely dad Core. If Dad Core was a person,
- 2:23Speaker 5: it would be funny.
- 2:24Speaker 6: Yeah, I can say that.
- 2:27Speaker 3: It was a good weekend. Though we had some storms
- 2:30Speaker 3: on and off. We still need the rain. It's funny.
- 2:32Speaker 3: I was talking to my mom on Saturday. She's like,
- 2:35Speaker 3: it has rained so much, we just don't need any
- 2:38Speaker 3: more rain. I said, Mom, have you looked at the
- 2:40Speaker 3: lake outside? I said, we need a tropical storm. We
- 2:43Speaker 3: don't need like a we don't need a hurricane. We
- 2:45Speaker 3: could use an entire like two days of rain. I
- 2:49Speaker 3: think we've had enough. So according to my mom, we've
- 2:52Speaker 3: had enough rain. Just to let you guys know, moms
- 2:54Speaker 3: know this stuff. Though she might be right, I think
- 2:56Speaker 3: she is. Anyway, let's get into a Meccan's three Things
- 2:59Speaker 3: we need know they get us started on our Jacksonville Monday.
- 3:02Speaker 3: What is going on around town, Megan?
- 3:04Speaker 5: Well, the USA surprised everyone Friday during their first appearance
- 3:08Speaker 5: in the World Cup versus Australia, who was picked to win.
- 3:12Speaker 5: And actually in this room, if I remember right, Chumley
- 3:15Speaker 5: and John you two said that Australia was going.
- 3:18Speaker 6: To kick our butts.
- 3:18Speaker 1: No, I said Australia was a favorite, but I was
- 3:21Speaker 1: rooting for USA and I think it'd be hard enough.
- 3:24Speaker 4: They went, I think it was you.
- 3:25Speaker 3: Can change the outcome.
- 3:26Speaker 6: Yeah, and you were. You were at Lynch's.
- 3:28Speaker 1: I was at Lynch's Irish pub. They would let two
- 3:31Speaker 1: people out and two people in. There was a line
- 3:33Speaker 1: down the street. But the energy in that room. Normally
- 3:36Speaker 1: I don't like to be that tight, you know, with
- 3:38Speaker 1: a crowd.
- 3:39Speaker 4: It was so much fun.
- 3:40Speaker 1: We've got another game at Lynch's on Saturdays starting at three,
- 3:43Speaker 1: so it's gonna be a good time.
- 3:44Speaker 6: It's so much.
- 3:45Speaker 3: My favorite explanation that Chumbley uses it was nuts to
- 3:48Speaker 3: butts in there. That's tight.
- 3:51Speaker 2: You don't want to be in there.
- 3:52Speaker 5: Yeah, there's not a whole lot of room too to
- 3:54Speaker 5: move around at Lynch's when it gets backed.
- 3:55Speaker 4: Oh but it was great.
- 3:56Speaker 6: Glad that USA won.
- 3:58Speaker 5: Saint John's County Parks and Recas doing something really cool
- 4:01Speaker 5: on July twelfth. It's called Real and the Fun and
- 4:04Speaker 5: it's a fishing tournament for kids at Volano Fishing.
- 4:07Speaker 6: Pier, and all the regular.
- 4:10Speaker 5: Rules of kind of like the ground bassline rules for
- 4:15Speaker 5: fishing tournaments they apply, but it's catch and release and
- 4:18Speaker 5: it's just supposed to be a bunch of.
- 4:19Speaker 6: Fun to get the kids outside into the outdoors.
- 4:21Speaker 4: I think that's great.
- 4:22Speaker 6: Yeah, I love it.
- 4:23Speaker 5: The Jags are doing their Duval Designs competition for the
- 4:28Speaker 5: fourth year in a row, which is really cool because
- 4:30Speaker 5: if you're an artist, you have the chance to create
- 4:33Speaker 5: different poster designs and if you get chosen, they'll be
- 4:36Speaker 5: featured at the Bank, which is really really cool.
- 4:38Speaker 6: And I love this. No AI is allowed.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Good job, all right?
- 4:44Speaker 6: Yes, these three things you need to know in.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Ninety nine days on WQIK the Big Show with Cholmley, John,
- 4:50Speaker 2: Meghan and Froggy and a little bit of Kenny Chesney
- 4:53Speaker 2: action out there the sphere. I guess he got that
- 4:55Speaker 2: thing started, didn't he, Yes, he did. Yeah, Megan's Music
- 4:58Speaker 2: City Minute see What's Up.
- 5:00Speaker 5: It was Kenny's first night at the Las Vegas Sphere.
- 5:02Speaker 5: He's doing his what is the second or third round
- 5:05Speaker 5: of Summer Sphere shows, which is really cool, and he
- 5:09Speaker 5: surprised everyone. He brought Eric Church out on stage. But
- 5:12Speaker 5: Eric forgot the lyrics to a song. And of all
- 5:14Speaker 5: Eric Church songs, what is the one that you think
- 5:17Speaker 5: he would never forget.
- 5:18Speaker 6: The lyrics too?
- 5:19Speaker 2: I would guess drink in my hand, That's what I
- 5:21Speaker 2: was going to say.
- 5:21Speaker 4: Striking my note.
- 5:22Speaker 6: No, it was Springsteen. He forgot the Lyrics's Springs.
- 5:24Speaker 2: There are a lot of lyrics in that song. There are.
- 5:27Speaker 5: But the two of them had a great time and
- 5:29Speaker 5: it looks like fans really enjoyed it.
- 5:31Speaker 1: I've always want to go to the Sphere for a show,
- 5:33Speaker 1: and I was in Las Vegas last year and I
- 5:36Speaker 1: had a night off and the Eagles were playing, so
- 5:38Speaker 1: I thought, you know, that'd be worth seeing, right, So
- 5:40Speaker 1: I went to buy tickets fifteen hundred dollars.
- 5:43Speaker 2: What Yeah, I'm the Big show with Chumley, John, Meghan
- 5:46Speaker 2: and Froggy Chumley. I want to ask you this because
- 5:48Speaker 2: I know Megan kind of recoiled when she first heard
- 5:50Speaker 2: of this, but then she found she started warming up
- 5:53Speaker 2: to it. With the invasive pythons mm hmm down at
- 5:56Speaker 2: the Everglades and they have that whole contest every year
- 6:00Speaker 2: about getting the most one hundred and seventy seven in
- 6:04Speaker 2: base of pythons weighing over eight thousand pounds from a
- 6:07Speaker 2: two hundred square mile area in the Everglades.
- 6:10Speaker 1: They should start making cowboy boots and stuff. I know
- 6:13Speaker 1: they're starting to put in South Florida python on the
- 6:15Speaker 1: menu people are eating.
- 6:16Speaker 2: It isn't that something which is wild? But are you?
- 6:19Speaker 2: Are you a snake lover? Snake officionado? They don't, you know.
- 6:23Speaker 1: I think it's a genetic thing where people are afraid
- 6:25Speaker 1: of snakes and I don't have that.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Gene In wq IK The Big Show with Chumley, John,
- 6:30Speaker 2: Meghan and Froggy, we go to West Melbourne where investigators
- 6:33Speaker 2: say officers said pulled over a woman and when a
- 6:38Speaker 2: man suddenly showed up on the scene dressed in a
- 6:41Speaker 2: suit and claimed to be her attorney. Wow what There
- 6:45Speaker 2: was only one problem he's not her attorney, and another problem,
- 6:49Speaker 2: he's not an attorney. City Ship became a little suspicious.
- 6:55Speaker 2: He was not licensed to practice law in Florida, not
- 6:58Speaker 2: even a lawyer, so we have no idea why he
- 7:01Speaker 2: thinks he needed to represent this woman.
- 7:03Speaker 4: Maybe he got his degree off the internet it you know,
- 7:05Speaker 4: the interwebs.
- 7:06Speaker 6: Yeah, fake it till you make it, wanting it's.
- 7:10Speaker 2: The big Show, Rumley, John, Meghan and Froggy with your
- 7:13Speaker 2: opportunity to win a fifty dollars gift card to Col
- 7:15Speaker 2: Haynes Irish Pub just a couple of minutes away.
- 7:18Speaker 3: So I'm really I'm not really been a soccer, huge
- 7:22Speaker 3: soccer fan most of my life. Obviously a huge, massive
- 7:25Speaker 3: football fan, but I got to be honest with you.
- 7:27Speaker 3: I am really enjoying the World Cup. Anybody else?
- 7:29Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, I'm glued into it.
- 7:32Speaker 2: We did.
- 7:33Speaker 1: We kind of celebrated with my father and brother on Saturday,
- 7:37Speaker 1: Father's Day, so we were cooking out, We had soccer
- 7:40Speaker 1: on inside, soccer on.
- 7:42Speaker 4: In the back forwards. We were all glued into the games.
- 7:44Speaker 2: We are too, the same way, having a lot of
- 7:46Speaker 2: fun and just the great community part.
- 7:49Speaker 3: And you're not a big soccer fan either, John, Right.
- 7:51Speaker 2: No, I mean my daughter played like fifteen years of soccer,
- 7:54Speaker 2: so I got into it at the time. But I'm
- 7:56Speaker 2: not one of those who's going to watch the MSL.
- 7:59Speaker 2: I'm not watching Me League soccer any time soon. But
- 8:02Speaker 2: when the World Cup rolls around, yeah, I guess I
- 8:04Speaker 2: am a fair weather soccer fan. But especially when the
- 8:06Speaker 2: USA is doing halfway decent, it helps.
- 8:08Speaker 3: A lot to see how many people are so into this,
- 8:13Speaker 3: into America. It's like this is something we really needed,
- 8:17Speaker 3: like turn off the fake news, turn off the bs
- 8:20Speaker 3: that you see, and soccer is bringing America together again.
- 8:24Speaker 3: I think we needed the World Cup more than the
- 8:26Speaker 3: World Cup needed America at this point.
- 8:28Speaker 4: That's actually a great analogy.
- 8:30Speaker 1: I will tell you the entire beach, all the restaurants,
- 8:33Speaker 1: all the bars for the USA game on Friday, packed
- 8:36Speaker 1: to the block down here, that new entertainment complex, thousands
- 8:39Speaker 1: of people. I was seeing videos on that people are
- 8:42Speaker 1: really into these USA games, for sure.
- 8:44Speaker 3: I think it's great that you know that it's turned
- 8:47Speaker 3: into this, to see people everybody kind of reuniting, people
- 8:50Speaker 3: who maybe don't normally get along, you don't know each other.
- 8:52Speaker 3: I love when you go to a sporting event and
- 8:54Speaker 3: before you know what, you leave and you've been you've
- 8:56Speaker 3: made friends. With people that you never met before because
- 8:59Speaker 3: you're watching Team US saying we've all got a common goal.
- 9:01Speaker 3: We want Team USA to win.
- 9:03Speaker 5: With all the tourism though, coming into BUCkies, I have
- 9:07Speaker 5: never seen a Bucky so.
- 9:08Speaker 6: Packed this week.
- 9:09Speaker 4: I'm telling you about it.
- 9:10Speaker 5: I felt like it was the opening day at Disney World,
- 9:12Speaker 5: like it was.
- 9:13Speaker 6: It was crazy.
- 9:14Speaker 2: I think a lot of these European people coming over,
- 9:17Speaker 2: reminding us what we love about our own country, and
- 9:19Speaker 2: maybe we took BUCkies for granted, and everybody not even
- 9:22Speaker 2: having to be a soccer fan, and it's going, yeah,
- 9:24Speaker 2: let's do go to BUCkies.
- 9:25Speaker 3: This weekend, I saw somebody all excited about ranch dressing.
- 9:28Speaker 3: They were from another country. They had never seen it before,
- 9:31Speaker 3: Like we take ranch for granted over here, right, And
- 9:35Speaker 3: they're like yeah, they wanted to take it home. The
- 9:36Speaker 3: TSA says you can only take so much ranch dressing home,
- 9:39Speaker 3: but they were trying to find ways around it.
- 9:42Speaker 1: I won't seek out a restaurant that makes their own ranch, uh,
- 9:45Speaker 1: I mean ranch stressing.
- 9:47Speaker 2: We make reants dressing at our house.
- 9:49Speaker 3: Yes, I'm getting into the World Cup. I'm learning about it.
- 9:51Speaker 3: I'm still watching games and asking questions and I see
- 9:55Speaker 3: some flopping going on and people getting hurt and things
- 9:57Speaker 3: like that, so I still still got questions. I'm learning
- 10:01Speaker 3: about soccer, and I think it's great to see how
- 10:03Speaker 3: much is bringing us together when we've been so divided lately.
- 10:08Speaker 3: Let's get into Megan's three things you need to know
- 10:10Speaker 3: before we have the popways coming up in just about
- 10:12Speaker 3: fifteen minutes. What's going on, Megan, Well, since we're.
- 10:14Speaker 5: Talking about all the cool things that is America, let's
- 10:17Speaker 5: talk about the Wounded Warrior Project and what they did
- 10:19Speaker 5: in town that was so cool for veterans. They had
- 10:23Speaker 5: this big like skateboarding event and at first when I
- 10:25Speaker 5: saw this, I was like a bunch of veterans skateboarding,
- 10:29Speaker 5: how would that work?
- 10:30Speaker 6: But it was really cool.
- 10:32Speaker 5: They actually created this program so that veterans of all
- 10:36Speaker 5: different abilities could participate, and they gave away custom skateboards
- 10:41Speaker 5: and it was just really cool to see the community
- 10:43Speaker 5: get together like that. Jags fans are going to be
- 10:46Speaker 5: able to enter their designs. If you're an artist for
- 10:49Speaker 5: the fourth annual Duval Design Competition. This is really neat
- 10:53Speaker 5: because your artwork could be featured at Everbak Stadium. They'll
- 10:57Speaker 5: do this for every home game, so that's really exciting.
- 11:00Speaker 5: And in Saint John's County, the Parks and Recreation is
- 11:03Speaker 5: hosting a kid's a fishing tournament on July twelfth at
- 11:07Speaker 5: Vellano Fishing Pier. It's called Real and the Fun and
- 11:09Speaker 5: it's really cool because kids have the chance to come
- 11:12Speaker 5: out and just learn what a fishing tournament is like,
- 11:16Speaker 5: it's catching release and it's just all for the kids.
- 11:19Speaker 6: That's three things you need to know, all.
- 11:21Speaker 3: Right, looking for colers nine to ten right now going
- 11:24Speaker 3: to the pop quiz. We got a fifty dollars gift
- 11:26Speaker 3: card to Cole Hayness, Irish Pub. Just need to play
- 11:29Speaker 3: the pop quiz call us nine oh four, three eight,
- 11:31Speaker 3: eight thirty six ninety nine listening.
- 11:33Speaker 2: On there for welcome in. It's Chumley, John, Meghan and
- 11:35Speaker 2: Froggy with Country ninety nine to one WQIK. And to
- 11:39Speaker 2: go perfectly with the first full day of summer, we
- 11:42Speaker 2: got a list and it's the list of America's top
- 11:45Speaker 2: ten ice cream flavors. This is by sales. Okay, this
- 11:48Speaker 2: is not preference. This is sales preference. You're voting with
- 11:51Speaker 2: your wallet on the top ten America's top ten ice
- 11:55Speaker 2: cream flavors. So we'll go around the room and see
- 11:57Speaker 2: we can fill this up with as few exes as possible.
- 12:00Speaker 6: Okay, I'm gonna get mad if the ones.
- 12:01Speaker 4: I like or at the bottom.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Well, that's true. That's one of those things where your
- 12:05Speaker 2: personal preference is going to come in and sway the
- 12:07Speaker 2: opinion of course. Okay, Megan, we will start with you.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Go ahead and deal out one of the top ten flavors.
- 12:14Speaker 2: Cookie dough, cookie dough, show me cookie dough. There we go,
- 12:17Speaker 2: chocolate chip cookie dough at number eight.
- 12:19Speaker 1: Well, okay, it seems like it should have been higher
- 12:22Speaker 1: than that. All right, chumbley Vanilla Vanilla's safe number Threeilla Vanilla?
- 12:30Speaker 2: All right, chump, I mean Frog.
- 12:32Speaker 3: I'm going to go with a personal favorite, probably not
- 12:34Speaker 3: very high in the list. But what about birthday cake?
- 12:36Speaker 3: Birthday cake is number nine?
- 12:37Speaker 5: Whoa, I'm going mint chocolate.
- 12:42Speaker 2: Chip Mint chocolate chip number ten.
- 12:45Speaker 4: All right, that's my favorite on my list.
- 12:48Speaker 2: You're filling out the You're filling out the lower end,
- 12:50Speaker 2: which is the toughest part.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Okay, jump another save called chocolate number one, buddy?
- 12:56Speaker 2: All right, all right, Frog, Old people flavor, butter, Peca
- 13:00Speaker 2: and John Scott's favorite two number two baby so hot.
- 13:08Speaker 6: I'm gonna go with one. I don't like Moose tracks.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Moose tracks.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Oh, okay, tone you got them first tone, first ax, Neopolitan.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Neopolitan, which I won't count because it is a combination
- 13:23Speaker 2: of everything and they don't count those.
- 13:24Speaker 4: Get another guests, another guest, Rocky Road.
- 13:27Speaker 2: Rocky Road, Rocky Road, all right, Rocky all right. Strawberry
- 13:34Speaker 2: Brawberry would be there because that's my second favorite. Wow.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Three exes. Wow, now we got three x's. I'll start
- 13:41Speaker 2: giving clues. Oh, I would have guessed you'all would have
- 13:44Speaker 2: guessed one of these, this one, because this is huge.
- 13:47Speaker 2: I would say it's huge. Cookies and cream, cookies and cream, right,
- 13:51Speaker 2: number four, number four? Okay, we've got number five, number six,
- 13:56Speaker 2: number seven, and that's all that's left, five, six, and seven.
- 14:00Speaker 2: This one's kind of more of a cool uh. In
- 14:02Speaker 2: the last few years, it's kind of been the hip
- 14:05Speaker 2: flavor for a different a lot of different things. It's
- 14:09Speaker 2: something that's found in a Snickers bar.
- 14:11Speaker 6: Oh, Peter, butter cup, No, oh, what.
- 14:19Speaker 2: I forgot? And then we'll have a whole debate on
- 14:25Speaker 2: how to say it, how to say that Okay, six
- 14:27Speaker 2: and seven? Uh, six and seven, I've never known this
- 14:32Speaker 2: to be the ice cream flavor I love, I love them,
- 14:34Speaker 2: I mean I love them as what they are, But
- 14:37Speaker 2: to put them in ice cream, I'm not sure about.
- 14:39Speaker 6: Is it brownie brownie?
- 14:41Speaker 2: Yeah, brownie ice cream? I mean I love ice cream
- 14:45Speaker 2: and brownies, but not a brownie ice cream. Number seven coffee. Oh,
- 14:49Speaker 2: that's a good guess. Guess, but it's a good guess.
- 14:53Speaker 2: And number seven is the one. It was already here
- 14:57Speaker 2: in a in a cookie dough form. But it's also
- 15:00Speaker 2: by itself very big. It's also big as a cookie,
- 15:04Speaker 2: like the number one chocolate chip. Okay, I think y'all
- 15:07Speaker 2: did awesome. Thanks, y'all did a great job on the list.
- 15:10Speaker 4: So good about it.
- 15:10Speaker 2: You get to know your cookies, you know your ice
- 15:12Speaker 2: cream flavors, and you know anything good and sweet. Oh man,
- 15:15Speaker 2: did y'all see what the ice cream factory or there's
- 15:18Speaker 2: what's a sugar factory?
- 15:19Speaker 3: Sugar factory, sugar factor? We have a business.
- 15:22Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's that sucks. So thinking of all the
- 15:25Speaker 2: fifty dollars ice creams you could have gotten. Now, Becky
- 15:29Speaker 2: on the south Side, we start with you, what percentage
- 15:32Speaker 2: of Americans. It's a survey, recent survey. What percentage of
- 15:35Speaker 2: Americans purchased food or drinks from a fast food restaurant
- 15:39Speaker 2: at least once a month?
- 15:41Speaker 3: Oh, i'd say eight, Lowel.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Is that number higher or lower?
- 15:46Speaker 1: Higher?
- 15:47Speaker 2: It's actually lower, sixty four percent, not as many as
- 15:49Speaker 2: I thought either, sixty four percent. But Becky gets that
- 15:53Speaker 2: point or the Becky here on the board and Loyll
- 15:58Speaker 2: you get this point. Here we go. You get the
- 16:00Speaker 2: question first, Lowel, you get this question first. He was
- 16:03Speaker 2: a beatle, he's a legend. He's Paul McCartney just had
- 16:06Speaker 2: a birthday. How old is Sir Paul McCartney, Lowell.
- 16:10Speaker 3: Long eighty four?
- 16:13Speaker 2: He's eighty four. Nice s on the money knowing your beatles.
- 16:19Speaker 4: Look at that you're neck and neck.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Here here we go.
- 16:21Speaker 3: It's tied.
- 16:23Speaker 2: That means it's time for a tiebreaker. If you know
- 16:24Speaker 2: the answer to this question, shout your name. I will
- 16:28Speaker 2: give a multiple choice. But if you know it, jump in. Originally,
- 16:32Speaker 2: what kind of product did Amazons sell when it first launched?
- 16:36Speaker 2: Was it electronics or books?
- 16:38Speaker 3: Lowell?
- 16:40Speaker 2: It was a bookstores books. Becky, thanks for playing good job,
- 16:47Speaker 2: going to.
- 16:47Speaker 4: Be your ware today.
- 16:49Speaker 5: Congratulations, Thank you you're such a good sport.
- 16:53Speaker 3: All right, thank you, all.
- 16:54Speaker 4: Right, thanks for listening.
- 16:56Speaker 2: And Loul, look at this fifty dollars gift card to
- 16:58Speaker 2: Cole Haynes Irish Pub and if you need folks to
- 17:00Speaker 2: help spend that fifty bucks, we are all willing participant.
- 17:03Speaker 4: I love col Haynes.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Welcome to your Monday and we appreciate you taking us
- 17:08Speaker 2: with you. The big show with Chumley, John, Meghan and Froggy.

- 17:14Speaker 3: What it gets you to your jacks Monday? What's going on?
- 17:16Speaker 2: Meghan?

- 17:25Speaker 1: Yeah, that was a great time, packed to the places
- 17:27Speaker 1: packed us.

- 17:32Speaker 2: What the phrase?
- 17:33Speaker 4: What's the phrase? Froggy, I'll let you say nuts.
- 17:36Speaker 3: The bus there?
- 17:39Speaker 4: Oh Man.
- 17:41Speaker 5: Saint John's County Parks and Rec is hosting a kid's
- 17:44Speaker 5: a fishing tournament July twelfth, the Vellano Fishing Pier.
- 17:47Speaker 6: It's called Real and the Fun.
- 17:48Speaker 5: It's catching release but It's really cool because kids get
- 17:51Speaker 5: to go out.
- 17:52Speaker 6: It's not super long.
- 17:53Speaker 5: It's only nine to eleven am, so you can get
- 17:56Speaker 5: the kids up after and go get lunch and it's
- 17:59Speaker 5: it's not an all day.
- 18:00Speaker 6: That's really cool to look forward to.
- 18:02Speaker 5: And Jags fans are now able to enter for the
- 18:05Speaker 5: fourth annual Devaul Designs Competition. Yeah, it's really cool because
- 18:11Speaker 5: you can submit your artwork and then they'll display it
- 18:15Speaker 5: at ever Bank this year for all the home games.
- 18:17Speaker 5: I'm making that three things you need to know on.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Wq I K good morning, Welcome to your Monday, and
- 18:23Speaker 2: we appreciate you taking us with you the Big Show
- 18:25Speaker 2: with Chumley, John, Meghan and Froggy.
- 18:28Speaker 3: So you know, you get invited to a wedding and
- 18:30Speaker 3: you're all excited about it. When when's the last time
- 18:32Speaker 3: anybody in this room has been to a wedding in
- 18:35Speaker 3: the last two months? Okay, what about you mean?
- 18:38Speaker 6: I think two years?
- 18:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I think the last wedding I went to was
- 18:41Speaker 3: Chumley's wedding.
- 18:42Speaker 1: Yeah, that's that was the last wedding I went to.
- 18:44Speaker 1: And that was a really good one, by the way,
- 18:45Speaker 1: when you really was two years ago?
- 18:48Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, yeah, so it's been it's been a couple
- 18:50Speaker 3: of years.
- 18:51Speaker 1: I hate weddings. To be honest with you, said, don't
- 18:53Speaker 1: invite me. God, I'll send a gift. I'll pay extra,
- 18:56Speaker 1: I'll send a real gift. If you don't invite you
- 18:58Speaker 1: to your wedding.
- 18:59Speaker 2: Go about your first I thank a gas on the honeymoon.
- 19:01Speaker 4: Yeah, man, I hate dress up sitting weddings.
- 19:04Speaker 3: You've gotten crazy expensive. According to a new pole from PayPal,
- 19:08Speaker 3: nearly one in three Americans a third say they spend
- 19:11Speaker 3: six hundred dollars to attend a wedding. Twenty percent say
- 19:15Speaker 3: of times if they're in the wedding, they spend over
- 19:18Speaker 3: one thousand dollars. Yeah, to be a part of somebody's wedding,
- 19:21Speaker 3: Like it's an honor for somebody to ask you, like, hey,
- 19:24Speaker 3: will you be in the wedding party. But even just
- 19:26Speaker 3: to go to a wedding, by the time you got
- 19:27Speaker 3: to get your clothes together and you get a gift,
- 19:30Speaker 3: you gotta get a you know, you got to get
- 19:32Speaker 3: a gift that's a decent gift. Can't show up with
- 19:34Speaker 3: like a card and twenty five dollars Amazon gift card.
- 19:38Speaker 3: You got to get some many decent weddings are expensive
- 19:40Speaker 3: to go to.
- 19:41Speaker 5: God forbid if you're the maid of honor. I've been
- 19:43Speaker 5: one twice and it took me out twice. I was
- 19:45Speaker 5: broke afterwards. I bet God forbid, you're the bride's dad.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Oh no, the amount of money and weddings nowadays, you know,
- 19:53Speaker 1: and you can't let your.
- 19:54Speaker 2: Little daughter down. Oh they know that. Yeah, those bridle
- 19:58Speaker 2: people know that every dad has that feeling. Yes see,
- 20:01Speaker 2: they will reach in deep, they'll go find money in
- 20:03Speaker 2: l where to help that.
- 20:04Speaker 5: I think that's part of the reason why I haven't
- 20:06Speaker 5: been to a wedding in so long. All my friends
- 20:08Speaker 5: in the past two years have been eloping. Yeah, there's
- 20:10Speaker 5: a lot of yeah, like three people at the wedding
- 20:13Speaker 5: because they're like, we can't afford it, you know, we
- 20:15Speaker 5: want to go to Cabo or something.
- 20:17Speaker 6: Instead.
- 20:18Speaker 2: We paid for our own wedding. I know it was
- 20:19Speaker 2: one hundred and fifty five years ago, but we paid
- 20:21Speaker 2: for our own wedding. And it like, guess what, you're
- 20:24Speaker 2: not drinking if you want one by one?
- 20:26Speaker 4: Oh my god, John's wedding.
- 20:27Speaker 2: I know my friends we were all on radio. I mean, yeah,
- 20:30Speaker 2: it would have been I'm still being paid for that
- 20:31Speaker 2: stupid data.
- 20:33Speaker 3: So look to the average cost of a wedding. What
- 20:35Speaker 3: do you think the average I'm going to ask each
- 20:36Speaker 3: one of you average cost of a wedding now in
- 20:38Speaker 3: the United States, Megan, what do you think it is?
- 20:40Speaker 6: Thirty five thousand dollars?
- 20:41Speaker 3: Oh gosh, really, Megan, is one thousand dollars off? It's
- 20:45Speaker 3: thirty six thousand dollars to have a wedding now.
- 20:47Speaker 2: Wow.
- 20:48Speaker 5: If you go on and look at just the price
- 20:50Speaker 5: of the venues, like if you don't know somebody personally,
- 20:54Speaker 5: you're spending ten to fifteen thousand just for the venue. Yeah,
- 20:58Speaker 5: and that's only for like a third of the venue,
- 21:00Speaker 5: not even the whole thing.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Wow.
- 21:02Speaker 5: I mean they are taking they're taking money that the
- 21:05Speaker 5: baby millennials, little gen z ers, we don't have it.
- 21:09Speaker 6: They're taking it.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Just the past couple of years, the wedding business has
- 21:14Speaker 1: plummeted in a big way.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Yeah. I think that people are coming to their senses
- 21:17Speaker 2: for some of this stuff and going there's no need.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Why don't y'all just put a down payment down on
- 21:21Speaker 2: a house. Well, instead of having this one day where
- 21:25Speaker 2: pictures are going to look good forever.
- 21:26Speaker 3: Wow, that's incredible.
- 21:28Speaker 4: Listening on the free iHeartRadio app.
- 21:29Speaker 2: Freddie, our big German soccer fan, got to go to
- 21:32Speaker 2: his elll Angley concert, got to go backstage.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Let's set that up for people again, because I've kind
- 21:37Speaker 1: of forgotten this story a little bit.
- 21:39Speaker 2: So this guy, he's from Germany. He's Germany. He's here
- 21:42Speaker 2: for the World Cup, a big German fan of German
- 21:45Speaker 2: soccer team, and so but he's crossing America and he's
- 21:48Speaker 2: starting to and he wanted to go across the South
- 21:50Speaker 2: and went here and everybody was starting to give him
- 21:53Speaker 2: such great hospitality. He's trying all these wonderful foods. He
- 21:56Speaker 2: went to Buckeyes and ate at waffle House and every thought.
- 22:01Speaker 2: He just thought, this is the greatest country ever, which
- 22:03Speaker 2: it is. And then also people are starting to offer
- 22:07Speaker 2: him things and they played Ella Langley for him and
- 22:10Speaker 2: he was like, this is y'all's music and it was
- 22:12Speaker 2: Ella Langley and he was like, oh my gosh, I'm
- 22:14Speaker 2: in love. And he sees or anythings. Oh, I'm really
- 22:16Speaker 2: in love. And then Ella Langley gets word that she's
- 22:20Speaker 2: got a fan, and Freddie the soccer fan, and so
- 22:23Speaker 2: she invites him to one of her shows.
- 22:25Speaker 5: What's so cool too, is he was videoing, like on
- 22:28Speaker 5: TikTok or Instagram or something, how excited he was about
- 22:31Speaker 5: Ella and all of our americanisms.
- 22:34Speaker 6: And then he's driving down the road.
- 22:36Speaker 5: Well, a radio guy in like Louisiana had seen his
- 22:40Speaker 5: videos and thought it was so cool. So Freddy's driving
- 22:43Speaker 5: in the car in the South, here's this guy talking
- 22:46Speaker 5: about him on the radio, which helped to spur Ella
- 22:50Speaker 5: Langley seeing Freddy.
- 22:52Speaker 4: Oh that is so cool.
- 22:53Speaker 6: So he got to do the meet and greet. You're
- 22:55Speaker 6: saying he actually got.
- 22:56Speaker 2: To go, Yes, he got to go. There was a
- 22:58Speaker 2: video of him at the concert and then a video
- 23:01Speaker 2: of him backstage with Ella Langley. And then he missed
- 23:04Speaker 2: his flight from I think it was Dallas to get
- 23:07Speaker 2: up to Canada to watch the German match. He had
- 23:09Speaker 2: missed his flight and it looked like where his flight
- 23:11Speaker 2: got canceled and he wasn't going to be able to go. Oh,
- 23:14Speaker 2: America chipped in. I don't know who it was, but
- 23:16Speaker 2: there were so many private planes. Who was like, I'll
- 23:18Speaker 2: give you a ride dude before we go. What did
- 23:20Speaker 2: we learn?
- 23:21Speaker 5: Megan Chumley brings the party with him if he's hosting
- 23:24Speaker 5: a watch party at Lynches, it's gonna be nuts to butts.
- 23:26Speaker 6: That's our phrase for the day.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 23:28Speaker 4: Just Saturday, I'll be back there, so definitely join us.
- 23:31Speaker 2: You could be party. What did you learn?
- 23:33Speaker 1: I learned that Freddy, the German World Cup fan who's
- 23:37Speaker 1: here in the States traveling around, got to meet Ella
- 23:39Speaker 1: Langley and I'm just a little jelly.
- 23:42Speaker 2: I learned that I'm glad that I don't have anybody
- 23:44Speaker 2: getting married soon.
- 23:46Speaker 1: The Big Show Extra sponsored by Farah and Farah.
- 23:50Speaker 2: Here for You, Here for Good,
