Latest / The Epstein Chronicles / Mega Edition: Prince Andrew And The Debacle With The BBC (9/8/26)

- 0:04Speaker 1: Prince Andrew and his disastrous BBC interview will go down
- 0:09Speaker 1: in history as possibly one of the worst performances of
- 0:14Speaker 1: all time. If they gave Razzies for performances and interviews, this.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Would be at the very top of the list.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Well, during that interview, there was a picture that was
- 0:26Speaker 1: allegedly snapped. And according to sources at BBC and elsewhere,
- 0:31Speaker 1: the picture is pretty embarrassing for Prince Andrew. So we
- 0:36Speaker 1: were talking about what could this picture possibly be? And
- 0:40Speaker 1: now there's some reports coming out of what that picture is.
- 0:44Speaker 1: And today we have an episode dealing with that. Our
- 0:48Speaker 1: article is from the Mirror.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Headline?
- 0:51Speaker 1: Prince Andrew laughed his head off an unseen picture from
- 0:55Speaker 1: car crash BBC interview. This article was authored by Matthew Dresh.
- 1:03Speaker 1: A jaw-dropping photograph of Prince Andrew reportedly shows him in
- 1:06Speaker 1: hysterics during his disastrous interview with BBC Newsnight reporter Emily
- 1:12Speaker 1: Maitlis about his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein. And it tells
- 1:16Speaker 1: you everything you need to know about the man. Him
- 1:19Speaker 1: laughing in a situation like this while under the microscope
- 1:23Speaker 1: encapsulates everything that is wrong with this idiot. He truly
- 1:29Speaker 1: thought that he was going to get up there and
- 1:30Speaker 1: gaslight all of us. Get up there and turn on
- 1:34Speaker 1: the old charm. Bro, you don't have any charm. You're
- 1:38Speaker 1: not going to charm anybody. And the only reason anybody
- 1:41Speaker 1: ever wants.
- 1:42Speaker 2: To associate with you is because you're the prince.
- 1:45Speaker 1: If you were just a regular old Joe Schmo working
- 1:48Speaker 1: down at the local grocery store, you think anybody would
- 1:51Speaker 1: want to hang out with you, Prince Andrew? You're not
- 1:55Speaker 1: a man of personality. You're not a man of intelligence.
- 1:59Speaker 1: And you're certainly not a man of means. But what
- 2:03Speaker 1: you are is a callous pig. And the fact that
- 2:07Speaker 1: you get caught in a picture laughing hysterically while you're
- 2:11Speaker 1: giving such a serious interview with such serious content, It
- 2:15Speaker 1: just goes to show you that you are exactly what
- 2:19Speaker 1: we thought you were. Prince Andrew reportedly laughed his head
- 2:25Speaker 1: off during his car crash BBC interview about Jeffrey Epstein.
- 2:30Speaker 1: A BBC picture that apparently shows the royal in hysterics
- 2:33Speaker 1: has been described as jaw-dropping. So when we were first
- 2:37Speaker 1: talking about the picture, I was wondering what it possibly
- 2:39Speaker 1: could be. I mean, what could you snap and get
- 2:43Speaker 1: this guy caught up in while he's at the palace
- 2:46Speaker 1: getting ready to give an interview, right?
- 2:48Speaker 2: I thought it was a pretty vague statement. Oh, we
- 2:50Speaker 2: have a picture, okay.
- 2:52Speaker 1: But if there's a picture of him laughing during all
- 2:55Speaker 1: of this, again, the optics are terrible. And when you're
- 2:59Speaker 1: somebody in a public position, like Prince Andrew, you better
- 3:02Speaker 1: damn well make sure that the optics match up. Because
- 3:07Speaker 1: if not, you're going to get hammered for it. Especially
- 3:10Speaker 1: when you're already under the microscope the way the Joe
- 3:13Speaker 1: Exotic of the Windsor family is. The photograph was taken
- 3:19Speaker 1: during the Duke of York's disastrous Newsnight interview with Emily
- 3:23Speaker 1: Maitlis in 2019. Prince Andrew desperately tried to defend his
- 3:28Speaker 1: relationship with pedophile Jeffrey Epstein during the interview and denied
- 3:32Speaker 1: claims he slept with Jeffrey Epstein survivor Virginia Roberts. And
- 3:38Speaker 1: that's exactly what it was. It was a denial. He
- 3:40Speaker 1: thought he was going to get up there. and he
- 3:42Speaker 1: thought he was going to be given a platform to
- 3:45Speaker 1: deny what he had done. And nobody was buying it,
- 3:48Speaker 1: nobody was down with it, and everybody was disgusted by it.
- 3:53Speaker 2: If he had.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Anyone supporting him before that interview, those numbers dwindled significantly
- 3:59Speaker 1: in the aftermath. The Royal Reacher reported, £ 12 million out-of-court
- 4:09Speaker 1: settlement with Ms. Roberts earlier this year after she filed
- 4:12Speaker 1: a sex abuse lawsuit against him in New York. The
- 4:16Speaker 1: settlement was not an admission of guilt on Andrew's part
- 4:19Speaker 1: and he has always denied wrongdoing. Look, it doesn't have
- 4:22Speaker 1: to be an admission on his part, okay? His behavior,
- 4:25Speaker 1: in my opinion anyway, is an admission of his role
- 4:28Speaker 1: in all of this. An innocent man doesn't act this way.
- 4:31Speaker 1: In fact, an innocent man is absolutely innocent. fired up
- 4:36Speaker 1: and pissed off and ready to defend his name if
- 4:38Speaker 1: his name's being dragged through the mud. You don't kick
- 4:41Speaker 1: the can down the road for years and years and
- 4:43Speaker 1: years and years. People have been saying you've done this
- 4:46Speaker 1: for how long? How many people has Prince Andrew sued
- 4:49Speaker 1: for libel or defamation?
- 4:52Speaker 2: Oh, none. Oh, that's right.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Because the dude couldn't prove it in court. Even Brettler
- 4:57Speaker 1: and Marty Singer told old boy it was time to bail.
- 5:01Speaker 1: So what does that tell you? Might not be an
- 5:03Speaker 1: admission of guilt, but it's damn sure in the neighborhood.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Earlier this month, BBC photographer Mark Harrison said the picture
- 5:12Speaker 1: of Prince Andrew laughing during his Newsnight interview would embarrass
- 5:15Speaker 1: the royals. He told the Daily Mail the photo has
- 5:18Speaker 1: been seen by only a few people, but it would
- 5:21Speaker 1: be a big deal for the royal family. There is
- 5:24Speaker 1: a lot more from that day that is not yet
- 5:26Speaker 1: in the public domain. And that's a lead. We all
- 5:28Speaker 1: know what a lead is. And they're trying to sell
- 5:31Speaker 1: their content over at BBC. So, of course, they're going
- 5:33Speaker 1: to pump it up, you know, put some air in
- 5:35Speaker 1: those tires. And I'm all for it. If you have
- 5:38Speaker 1: good content and you want to have a lead here
- 5:41Speaker 1: and open it up for further discussion, great. Let's get
- 5:46Speaker 1: to it. Let's see the picture, though. I could see
- 5:48Speaker 1: why the royal family wouldn't want to see it. I mean,
- 5:51Speaker 1: let's be real. Prince Andrew laughing in the middle of
- 5:55Speaker 1: this interview, talking about sexual assault, rape, Jeffrey Epstein, human trafficking,
- 6:00Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell, underage kids. That's the time to laugh? Now
- 6:04Speaker 1: it's the time to have a big belly full of
- 6:07Speaker 1: a laugh? Probably not a good idea. A source told
- 6:12Speaker 1: The Sun, people will feel it was reckless for him
- 6:15Speaker 1: to laugh during such a sensitive interview.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Yeah, no shit.
- 6:19Speaker 1: I mean, you don't have to know decorum and you
- 6:22Speaker 1: don't have to have been raised in Buckingham Palace to
- 6:25Speaker 1: know how bad that looks. But he probably didn't realize
- 6:29Speaker 1: the seriousness or consequences of laughing or how it would
- 6:33Speaker 1: look on camera. It's always he didn't realize, he didn't this,
- 6:36Speaker 1: he didn't that. I mean, is the guy like mentally
- 6:40Speaker 1: challenged or what? Because it sure seems to me like
- 6:44Speaker 1: he's pretty slow. Maybe he should have Somebody to take
- 6:49Speaker 1: care of him. Maybe he should just be like. Put
- 6:52Speaker 1: into the tower. The Tower of London. And kept under observation.
- 6:57Speaker 1: So he doesn't blunder around anymore. You have to bear
- 7:03Speaker 1: in mind. That after the interview. He thought it had
- 7:05Speaker 1: gone very well. Only to be subsequently hit. By a
- 7:09Speaker 1: wave of negative reactions. I have no idea how you
- 7:13Speaker 1: could think that this went well. And I don't know
- 7:15Speaker 1: how your people around you didn't say to you, bro,
- 7:18Speaker 1: this was a disaster. We need to get ready to
- 7:20Speaker 1: do some cleanup work because you're going to look real
- 7:24Speaker 1: bad after all of this. Former Newsnight producer Sam McAllister
- 7:30Speaker 1: could publish the unseen picture of Andrew in her upcoming
- 7:34Speaker 1: book about the interview. The BBC interrogation is reportedly set
- 7:38Speaker 1: to become a movie potentially starring Hugh Grant. The interview
- 7:42Speaker 1: had disastrous consequences for Andrew, who shortly afterwards stepped down
- 7:47Speaker 1: as a senior.
- 7:47Speaker 2: Royal amid the huge public backlash.
- 7:50Speaker 1: I've heard that Hugh Grant isn't going to be involved
- 7:53Speaker 1: in this project after all, so I'm interested to see
- 7:57Speaker 1: who they get to play Prince Andrew. His attempts to
- 8:02Speaker 1: defend himself against Miss Roberts' claims in the interview were
- 8:05Speaker 1: roundly mocked because he didn't attempt to defend himself. He
- 8:10Speaker 1: attempted to smooth his rollover and act like it was
- 8:12Speaker 1: no big deal and act like him hanging out with
- 8:14Speaker 1: Epstein had nothing to do with any of these girls
- 8:17Speaker 1: getting abused. He refuses to see the issue here, and
- 8:21Speaker 1: the issue, you dumb fuck, is you. He claimed he
- 8:26Speaker 1: went to Pizza Express in Woking on the day of
- 8:29Speaker 1: one of her claims and also insisted he could not sweat.
- 8:33Speaker 1: The royal also came under fire for describing his convicted
- 8:36Speaker 1: pedophile pal Epstein's behavior as unbecoming. Imagine explaining Epstein and
- 8:42Speaker 1: his behavior as anything besides sick, twisted, disgusting, and just
- 8:47Speaker 1: saying it was unbecoming.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Really? You know what's unbecoming? You.
- 8:51Speaker 1: You're unbecoming, Prince Andrew. When Miss Maitlis shot back saying unbecoming,
- 8:59Speaker 1: he was a sex offender. Andrew replied, yeah, I'm sorry,
- 9:03Speaker 1: I'm being polite. I mean in the sense that he
- 9:05Speaker 1: was a sex offender. Like, here you go, here's a shovel,
- 9:08Speaker 1: dig the hole a little bit deeper for yourself. Andrew
- 9:12Speaker 1: also tried to defend the decision to stay at Epstein's
- 9:15Speaker 1: house after the pedophile was convicted of a child prostitution charge. Alright,
- 9:20Speaker 1: first of all, you can't be a child and be
- 9:22Speaker 1: a prostitute. When are these papers going to add that
- 9:26Speaker 1: to what they're talking about? As if it's just ho-hum,
- 9:30Speaker 1: go about your business. Oh, there's child prostitutes.
- 9:32Speaker 2: That's okay.
- 9:33Speaker 1: Let's go to the bodega and get a ham, egg,
- 9:35Speaker 1: and cheeser. That should launch people into orbit seeing those words,
- 9:39Speaker 1: child prostitute. What is this, the year 765? He said
- 9:48Speaker 1: it was a convenient place to stay. At the end
- 9:50Speaker 1: of the day, with the benefit of all the hindsight
- 9:52Speaker 1: that one can have, it was definitely the wrong thing
- 9:55Speaker 1: to do. Imagine staying the night at Jeffrey Epstein's after
- 9:58Speaker 1: you know he's a convicted pedophile. and then having the
- 10:01Speaker 1: audacity to try and defend that decision oh well you
- 10:04Speaker 1: know I look back on it now it was the
- 10:06Speaker 1: wrong thing to do yeah you think But at the time,
- 10:13Speaker 1: I felt it was the honorable and right thing to do.
- 10:16Speaker 1: And I admit fully that my judgment was probably colored
- 10:19Speaker 1: by my tendency to be too honorable. But that's just
- 10:22Speaker 1: the way it is. Imagine saying this. Oh, your honor
- 10:26Speaker 1: dictated that you had to stay the night over at
- 10:29Speaker 1: the diddler on the roof's house, huh? What sort of twisted,
- 10:34Speaker 1: broken ass honor system do you live by? Epstein took
- 10:38Speaker 1: his own life. allegedly, while awaiting trial on sex trafficking
- 10:42Speaker 1: charges in 2019. A spokesman for the Duke of York
- 10:46Speaker 1: declined to comment. Oh, I'm sure he did. I am
- 10:49Speaker 1: sure he did. So, we were wondering what that photograph
- 10:53Speaker 1: might have in store for us, and it looks like
- 10:56Speaker 1: it's a picture of dumbass laughing like he has no
- 10:59Speaker 1: cares in the world, when, in fact, he's under the
- 11:02Speaker 1: microscope for being involved in one of the largest human
- 11:06Speaker 1: trafficking rings we've seen. And this moron thinks it's the
- 11:10Speaker 1: time to laugh. That, my friends, tells you everything you
- 11:14Speaker 1: need to know about the Joe Exotic of the Windsor family.
- 11:19Speaker 1: If you'd like to contact me, you can do that
- 11:21Speaker 1: at bobbycapucci at protonmail.com. That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I at protonmail.com. You can
- 11:30Speaker 1: also find me on Twitter at B-O-B-B-Y underscore C-A-P-U-C-C-I. The
- 11:37Speaker 1: link that I discussed can be found in the description box. Alright,
- 11:42Speaker 1: what's up everyone and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles.
- 11:46Speaker 1: So there's a Newsnight photographer who claims that he has
- 11:49Speaker 1: a picture of Prince Andrew that would rock the monarchy
- 11:52Speaker 1: if it was ever made public. Now, what the hell
- 11:55Speaker 1: kind of picture could he possibly have? We've already seen
- 11:59Speaker 1: the picture with Prince Andrew having his arm around Virginia
- 12:03Speaker 1: Roberts with Maxwell in the background. So what else could
- 12:07Speaker 1: this guy possibly have that would make the monarchy get rocked? Well,
- 12:13Speaker 1: let's jump into this article from the Daily Mail and
- 12:16Speaker 1: let's find out. Headline, Newsnight photographer claims to have picture
- 12:20Speaker 1: of Prince Andrew that would rock the monarchy if it
- 12:24Speaker 1: was ever made public. This article was authored by Emily
- 12:28Speaker 1: Prescott and Katie Hind. A photographer working for the BBC
- 12:34Speaker 1: during Prince Andrew's car crash Newsnight interview claims to have
- 12:38Speaker 1: taken a shocking picture of the royal that would shake
- 12:41Speaker 1: the monarchy if it ever became public. Now, what sort
- 12:45Speaker 1: of picture could you possibly get during this interview? Did
- 12:48Speaker 1: Prince Andrew show up in his chonies or something? Dude
- 12:51Speaker 1: showed up in a pair of bikini bottoms? What kind
- 12:55Speaker 1: of picture could you possibly get that would rock the monarchy?
- 13:00Speaker 1: Mark Harrison declined to reveal what he captured, but said
- 13:04Speaker 1: it would embarrass Prince Andrew and the royal family if
- 13:07Speaker 1: it were released. It is understood that the Duke insisted
- 13:10Speaker 1: the picture never become public, but Mr. Harrison hinted that
- 13:15Speaker 1: it may feature in a forthcoming film about how the
- 13:18Speaker 1: BBC secured the interview. A dramatization producers may feel free
- 13:23Speaker 1: to recreate their own version of the jaw-dropping image. So...
- 13:29Speaker 1: A lot to unpack there. We know about the movie
- 13:32Speaker 1: coming up called Scoop about the Prince Andrew interview. And
- 13:37Speaker 1: Hugh Grant was allegedly tied to it, but he came
- 13:40Speaker 1: out and said that no, he has nothing to do
- 13:43Speaker 1: with it. So we'll have to see who they cast
- 13:45Speaker 1: for it. But I'm guessing it's going to be a
- 13:48Speaker 1: pretty explosive movie, right? Pretty interesting. You can count me in. Look,
- 13:53Speaker 1: put the pre-sale tickets on sale. I'll buy some now.
- 13:58Speaker 1: point of the story is, I'm definitely going to see it.
- 14:03Speaker 1: A source close to the Newsnight interview who has seen
- 14:05Speaker 1: the original photograph said that if it became public, it
- 14:09Speaker 1: will be shocking, especially if it's decontextualized. What could it
- 14:14Speaker 1: possibly be? Now, I really don't have any idea, so
- 14:18Speaker 1: those of you listening out there, shoot me some emails
- 14:21Speaker 1: and tell me what you think this picture might be.
- 14:23Speaker 2: That'll be so embarrassing.
- 14:26Speaker 1: I mean, they took the picture at the palace and
- 14:28Speaker 1: He was there with Beatrice and Amanda Thirsk. So I
- 14:31Speaker 1: don't know exactly what he could have been doing that
- 14:35Speaker 1: could have been captured in photographic form. But according to
- 14:41Speaker 1: the photographer here, he has something. Our jaws dropped to
- 14:47Speaker 1: the floor when we saw it. It would cause Andrew
- 14:49Speaker 1: much embarrassment. And imagine how high the bar has to
- 14:53Speaker 1: be to cause him embarrassment after everything that has happened.
- 14:57Speaker 2: All right.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Now I really need to know what this picture contains.
- 15:04Speaker 1: We saw the picture of him with Virginia and it's
- 15:07Speaker 1: more shocking than that. As just stated, the bar is
- 15:11Speaker 1: pretty high for us to be shocked when it comes
- 15:14Speaker 1: to the Joe Exotic of the Windsor family. The Duke
- 15:19Speaker 1: effectively became a pariah following his catastrophic interview with Emily
- 15:23Speaker 1: Maitlis about his relationship with pedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein and claims,
- 15:29Speaker 1: which he always has denied, that he had sex on
- 15:33Speaker 1: three occasions with sex trafficking survivor Virginia Roberts. You mean
- 15:38Speaker 1: Epstein survivor Virginia Roberts, right? So this guy, Prince Andrew...
- 15:45Speaker 1: Certainly a pariah. There's no doubt about that. I don't
- 15:47Speaker 1: think there's any sort of discussion that could dispute that.
- 15:51Speaker 1: But if this picture is this explosive, don't you think
- 15:59Speaker 1: that the BBC should just put it out and not
- 16:01Speaker 1: wait and tease people for the big release in the movie? Mr. Harrison,
- 16:08Speaker 1: an award-winning portrait photographer, said of his shot, it has
- 16:11Speaker 1: been seen by only a few people, but it would
- 16:14Speaker 1: be a big deal for the royal family. There is
- 16:17Speaker 1: a lot more from that day that is not yet
- 16:19Speaker 1: in the public domain. All right, we could look at
- 16:21Speaker 1: this two different ways, right? We could look at this
- 16:24Speaker 1: as them having the goods and get excited about getting
- 16:27Speaker 1: to see those goods eventually. Or we could say to ourselves,
- 16:31Speaker 1: are you just trying to promote for your new movie?
- 16:34Speaker 1: And if you are, that's cool. I'm totally fine with it.
- 16:36Speaker 2: But... You know, don't be disingenuous.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Oh, there's so much more that the public hasn't seen.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Well, why not?
- 16:44Speaker 1: Why hasn't the public seen it? The source added, it's
- 16:49Speaker 1: the kind of thing which would make the public drop
- 16:51Speaker 1: their cornflakes. It is definitely not what Andrew would want
- 16:55Speaker 1: out there. And apparently he insisted that it remained secret.
- 16:59Speaker 1: It was not one of the shots the BBC released.
- 17:02Speaker 1: So there's a lot here. Why is the BBC letting
- 17:05Speaker 1: Prince Andrew dictate what's released and what's not? You know,
- 17:11Speaker 1: for all the credit we give the BBC for this interview,
- 17:14Speaker 1: they haven't been at the forefront here of going after Andrew.
- 17:17Speaker 1: We have to give a nod of the cap to
- 17:19Speaker 1: the Daily Mail and The Sun. And you could call
- 17:21Speaker 1: them tabloids.
- 17:22Speaker 2: They are.
- 17:23Speaker 1: But guess what? They were right about Prince Andrew. They
- 17:26Speaker 1: were right about Jeffrey Epstein. They were right about Bill Clinton.
- 17:30Speaker 1: They were right about Glenn Maxwell. So you got to
- 17:32Speaker 1: give them their credit. And they've been all over this
- 17:36Speaker 1: story since Jump Street. But BBC, well, we all know
- 17:39Speaker 1: how BBC has protected people like Jimmy Savile in the past.
- 17:44Speaker 1: So what would make us think that would be any
- 17:45Speaker 1: different this time around? I feel the same way about
- 17:50Speaker 1: the BBC as I do about the other legacy media organizations.
- 17:58Speaker 1: There is, of course, a chance that it will at
- 18:00Speaker 1: some point come out for all to see, perhaps if
- 18:03Speaker 1: the price is right. Of course, the movie about the
- 18:06Speaker 1: interview is happening, so that is a possibility. Oh, the
- 18:09Speaker 1: price is right. Again, it's always about the money, right?
- 18:11Speaker 1: If the price is right, the price is right, the
- 18:12Speaker 1: price is right.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Well, how much?
- 18:15Speaker 1: How much are you charging to get this picture? And
- 18:17Speaker 1: let's crowdfund it. I got the first couple of hundred
- 18:20Speaker 1: bucks towards it.
- 18:21Speaker 2: Let's do this.
- 18:23Speaker 1: I mean, what does that even mean if the price
- 18:24Speaker 1: is right? So you're telling me you're going to try
- 18:26Speaker 1: and make more money off of the suffering.
- 18:29Speaker 2: Of these survivors? How about just release all.
- 18:32Speaker 1: The information you have if you have information, if you
- 18:35Speaker 1: have a picture? It's just like that Mark Dugan guy,
- 18:37Speaker 1: Mark John Dugan or whatever the hell his name is.
- 18:40Speaker 1: The guy that said he had a bunch of videotape
- 18:42Speaker 1: and this, that, the other thing. And certain people bought
- 18:45Speaker 1: into it, right? What did I tell you from Jump Street?
- 18:49Speaker 1: Dude has nothing. He has guanjil, nada, nothing. And once again,
- 18:56Speaker 1: proved to be right, wasn't it? There's so many people,
- 18:59Speaker 1: my point here is, there are so many people involved
- 19:03Speaker 1: with this case, with this story, that are just so hell-bent.
- 19:08Speaker 1: On turning it into a financial windfall for themselves that
- 19:11Speaker 1: they don't really care about the survivors. Now, it's okay
- 19:14Speaker 1: to make some money, right? You're allowed to make some money.
- 19:18Speaker 1: I have no problem with that. But when the whole
- 19:20Speaker 1: entire thing is about money and securing that bag and
- 19:24Speaker 1: not about getting justice for the survivors, that's when I
- 19:27Speaker 1: have something to say about you. And it certainly looks
- 19:30Speaker 1: like the BBC is trying to, you know, make a
- 19:33Speaker 1: few bucks here, when the reality is, as a news organization,
- 19:37Speaker 1: you should just be releasing this stuff to the public.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Filming starts on Scoop in November, based on a new
- 19:46Speaker 1: non-fiction book by former Newsnight producer Sam McAllister... about how
- 19:50Speaker 1: the BBC secured some of its landmark interviews, including the
- 19:54Speaker 1: bombshell encounter with Andrew at Buckingham Palace on November 14th, 2019.
- 20:01Speaker 1: And look, I'm all for the movie, right? Any more
- 20:03Speaker 1: information we can get that we can pick through and
- 20:06Speaker 1: put the reconstructed bones back together, I am all for it.
- 20:10Speaker 1: That's why you never hear me get too fired up
- 20:13Speaker 1: about these documentaries or shows like the one that was
- 20:17Speaker 1: just on Starz about Ghislaine Maxwell.
- 20:19Speaker 2: Not great, right?
- 20:21Speaker 1: But again, if it opens the door for some people
- 20:23Speaker 1: to see what's going on and get fired up about
- 20:27Speaker 1: what's going on or what has went on, then I'm
- 20:29Speaker 1: all for it. And when it comes to making money,
- 20:33Speaker 1: like I said, look, that too. Everybody got to eat, right?
- 20:37Speaker 1: Nobody should be doing shit for free. but the BBC
- 20:40Speaker 1: trying to profit on the back end three, four times, look,
- 20:44Speaker 1: you're a news organization. Let's see that picture. In February,
- 20:51Speaker 1: Andrew settled a sexual assault case Ms. Roberts filed in
- 20:54Speaker 1: the U.S. under her married name for an undisclosed sum.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Under the deal, the prince made no admission of guilt. Oh, well,
- 21:02Speaker 1: that might be the case, but let me see a
- 21:04Speaker 1: show of hands out there of people who think he's guilty.
- 21:07Speaker 2: Oh, that's right.
- 21:08Speaker 1: I can't see any hands that are down. Oh, so
- 21:10Speaker 1: we all think he's guilty.
- 21:11Speaker 2: Okay, that's cool.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Reality though, he didn't have to take any guilt. He
- 21:15Speaker 1: didn't have, you know, his record wasn't showing that he's guilty.
- 21:18Speaker 1: But in the eyes of the public, in the eyes
- 21:20Speaker 1: of society as a whole, there's nobody more guilty than
- 21:24Speaker 1: this scumbag. And again, remember, it's not just the enabling.
- 21:28Speaker 1: While that's gross and scummy as well, Andrew is directly
- 21:31Speaker 1: related to the actual abuse. And that's a whole different
- 21:34Speaker 1: level for me. Once you're involved in the actual abuse
- 21:37Speaker 1: or accused of that, you're a whole different kind of scumbag.
- 21:43Speaker 1: And if you got a picture, BBC, that's going to
- 21:45Speaker 1: embarrass the scumbag further, let's see it. The Prince's spokeswoman
- 21:51Speaker 1: declined to comment on the photograph last night, and the
- 21:54Speaker 1: BBC did not respond to her request to do so.
- 21:58Speaker 2: Well, folks, there it is.
- 22:00Speaker 1: The story about the photograph that they allegedly have that
- 22:04Speaker 1: can embarrass Prince Andrew even further. What that photograph is,
- 22:07Speaker 1: I have no idea. But if you have an idea,
- 22:11Speaker 1: why don't you shoot me an email, send me a
- 22:13Speaker 1: message on Twitter, so I can get clued in to
- 22:17Speaker 1: what you know. All right, folks, that's going to do
- 22:19Speaker 1: it for this episode. If you'd like to contact me,
- 22:22Speaker 1: you can do that at bobbycapucci at protonmail.com. That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I
- 22:30Speaker 1: at protonmail.com. You can also find me on Twitter at
- 22:34Speaker 1: B-O-B-B-Y underscore C-A-P-U-C-C-I. The link that I discussed can be
- 22:40Speaker 1: found in the description box. What's up everyone and welcome
- 22:47Speaker 1: back to the Epstein Chronicles. Recently we heard from the
- 22:51Speaker 1: producer who was responsible for setting up the Prince Andrew
- 22:56Speaker 1: interview with BBC. And her name is Sam McAllister and
- 23:02Speaker 1: she had some pretty interesting insight to offer. Well, in
- 23:05Speaker 1: a new article from the Irish Mirror... We're getting some
- 23:08Speaker 1: more details from her about what exactly what went down
- 23:13Speaker 1: and how Prince Andrew had this idea that he did
- 23:18Speaker 1: this great job after this interview. Whereas the rest of
- 23:22Speaker 1: the world who witnessed it, who watched it, who listened
- 23:25Speaker 1: to it, they came to a different conclusion for the
- 23:28Speaker 1: most part. And this interview was the beginning of the
- 23:33Speaker 1: end for Prince Andrew, folks. No doubt in my mind
- 23:37Speaker 1: that this was the beginning of the end. How many
- 23:40Speaker 1: times have people said, open your mouth and insert your foot?
- 23:45Speaker 1: Because that certainly is what Prince Andrew did. And he's
- 23:49Speaker 1: going to pay for it for the rest of his life.
- 23:52Speaker 1: And I look at it as karma almost, right? Why
- 23:55Speaker 1: are you giving an interview to the BBC before you
- 23:58Speaker 1: even speak to the FBI? What are you really trying
- 24:02Speaker 1: to accomplish? You're not trying to help the people who
- 24:05Speaker 1: were abused, obviously. You're trying to save a little bit
- 24:08Speaker 1: of face. And frankly, these people have been allowed to
- 24:13Speaker 1: save face for way too long. In fact, these people
- 24:17Speaker 1: have been so protected, folks. Let's remember that ABC and
- 24:21Speaker 1: Amy Robach quashed an interview with Virginia Roberts that had
- 24:25Speaker 1: all the goods on these people in 2015. So all
- 24:31Speaker 1: of you folks out there who didn't know much about
- 24:33Speaker 1: this story and might have heard just little tidbits and decided, hey,
- 24:37Speaker 1: there's not enough out there. I have to go and
- 24:39Speaker 1: find my own information. Well, you can thank the legacy
- 24:42Speaker 1: media for failing at their job to inform you correctly.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Because they've had all this information even longer than I have.
- 24:51Speaker 1: But they sat on it. They refused to give it
- 24:53Speaker 1: to you. All because they didn't want to lose access
- 24:55Speaker 1: to people like the Joe Exotic of the Windsor family.
- 25:01Speaker 1: And could there be anything more absurd? Who the hell
- 25:05Speaker 1: cares if you lose access to these sick, disgusting people?
- 25:11Speaker 1: The idea, as a journalist, is to hold people of
- 25:14Speaker 1: power accountable. And to educate the rest of the citizens.
- 25:19Speaker 1: That's why it's called the Fourth Estate. And that's why
- 25:22Speaker 1: the media is given such great privileges. But they failed
- 25:26Speaker 1: big time here, folks. 100%, without a doubt, failed. Not
- 25:31Speaker 1: only failed you, but more importantly, it failed the girls
- 25:36Speaker 1: who were abused. Because if this story could have gotten
- 25:39Speaker 1: out earlier, how many girls would have avoided this fate?
- 25:46Speaker 1: And I'm never going to let the legacy media live
- 25:49Speaker 1: it down. Today we have an article, like I said,
- 25:53Speaker 1: from the Irish Mirror, and headline, Prince Andrew was a
- 25:56Speaker 1: bomb waiting to go off as fresh details emerged from
- 26:00Speaker 1: his disastrous interview. This article was authored by Teresa Gotine
- 26:06Speaker 1: Martinez and Michelle Cullen. Sam McAllister, who was responsible for
- 26:13Speaker 1: setting up the Duke of York's explosive interview in November
- 26:17Speaker 1: of 2019, said, has written a memoir, Scoops, in which
- 26:21Speaker 1: she detailed the bizarre event. So if you were her,
- 26:26Speaker 1: why wouldn't you parlay this into something? Write a book,
- 26:29Speaker 1: write a story, do the circuit, you know, make a
- 26:32Speaker 1: few bucks from it. I say good for Sam McAllister.
- 26:36Speaker 1: She was the one who set this all up. She
- 26:38Speaker 1: was the one who put it into motion. So she
- 26:41Speaker 1: should definitely be the one to get the nod and
- 26:43Speaker 1: the credit. You see, a lot of these times, the
- 26:46Speaker 1: journalist gets the credit, right? But behind the scenes, it's
- 26:49Speaker 1: the producer, the field producers, who are setting all of
- 26:52Speaker 1: this up. Finding people to interview, figuring out topics, and
- 26:57Speaker 1: then these high-paid newsreaders that you see on TV, Rachel Maddow,
- 27:02Speaker 1: Sean Hannity, the rest of these boobs, they just get
- 27:05Speaker 1: up there and they parrot whatever their producers find out
- 27:08Speaker 1: or figure out. And they get all of the accolades,
- 27:12Speaker 1: they get all of the pats on the back, And
- 27:15Speaker 1: most importantly, they get all of the money when in reality,
- 27:19Speaker 1: it's these producers that are doing all the hard work.
- 27:22Speaker 1: So people like Sam McAllister, when they're able to double
- 27:25Speaker 1: down and make a few dollars on the stuff that
- 27:28Speaker 1: they did by flipping a book or something like that,
- 27:31Speaker 1: I say go for it. It's hard enough trying to
- 27:34Speaker 1: carve out a chunk. When you're somebody who's involved in
- 27:38Speaker 1: the media or creating content. So if there's a money-making
- 27:42Speaker 1: opportunity for you and it's based solely on your work especially,
- 27:46Speaker 1: you should definitely jump at that. Appearing on this morning
- 27:51Speaker 1: to discuss the unforgettable appearance of Andrew on the flagship program,
- 27:56Speaker 1: which saw him speak about his friendship with convicted pedophile
- 27:59Speaker 1: and sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, Ms. McAllister was asked by
- 28:04Speaker 1: ITV presenter Holly Willoughby whether she thought that Duke 62
- 28:09Speaker 1: regretted agreeing to the interview. Look, I certainly didn't work
- 28:14Speaker 1: on getting the interview with Prince Andrew here, but I'm
- 28:18Speaker 1: pretty sure it's right up there in his top five
- 28:22Speaker 1: regrets of all time. Right along with hanging out with Epstein. Well,
- 28:26Speaker 1: maybe that isn't a regret after all. He had a
- 28:28Speaker 1: chance to say that and he didn't. So who knows
- 28:30Speaker 1: what his biggest regrets really are. But this has to
- 28:33Speaker 1: be at the top of the list, right? Giving this interview.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Outing yourself for a complete moron. For the whole entire
- 28:40Speaker 1: world to see. Before it was just people who were
- 28:43Speaker 1: paying attention to the royal family, right? A lot of
- 28:46Speaker 1: you out there follow the royal family and stuff. You
- 28:48Speaker 1: all knew that Prince Andrew was an absolute boob. Frankly,
- 28:52Speaker 1: until the Jeffrey Epstein story, I had no idea who
- 28:54Speaker 1: he really was besides the Prince of England. I had
- 28:57Speaker 1: no desire to research him.
- 28:59Speaker 2: I didn't care.
- 29:00Speaker 1: I really just didn't care about him or anyone in
- 29:03Speaker 1: the royal family for that matter. And I still feel
- 29:06Speaker 1: the same way. When this saga closes, you know, I
- 29:11Speaker 1: really have nothing else to say about the royal family. Honestly,
- 29:14Speaker 1: it's just I have bigger problems, I guess. You know,
- 29:17Speaker 1: I always talk about how Maillard If my yard's dirty,
- 29:20Speaker 1: I can't talk about my neighbors. So I have my
- 29:22Speaker 1: own problems here in the United States to worry about.
- 29:25Speaker 1: I can't worry about, you know, the royal family. But
- 29:28Speaker 1: Prince Andrew's bitch ass? Oh yeah, bro, you're on the
- 29:31Speaker 1: radar forever now. And as long as you stick around
- 29:34Speaker 1: and you keep hanging out with the royal family and
- 29:36Speaker 1: trying to make your way back, well, people like me...
- 29:40Speaker 1: are going to make your life miserable and the collateral
- 29:43Speaker 1: damage unfortunately for you and the royalists is going to
- 29:46Speaker 1: be the royal family she replied i think he was
- 29:51Speaker 1: a bomb waiting to go off he wanted to say
- 29:53Speaker 1: something he wanted to vindicate himself reports the express Now,
- 29:58Speaker 1: I know that seems ludicrous now, but nobody thinks they're
- 30:01Speaker 1: going to do a bad interview. He thought he would
- 30:04Speaker 1: explain himself, and he thought this would all go away.
- 30:08Speaker 1: So I suspect, if he went back, he would still
- 30:11Speaker 1: do an interview, but I doubt it would be with Emily,
- 30:14Speaker 1: and I doubt it would be with Newsnight. Oh, I
- 30:19Speaker 1: doubt that as well. He'd probably go and do the
- 30:22Speaker 1: interview with, uh, The guy that got all of those
- 30:24Speaker 1: Maxwell family interviews, whatever that dude's name is over in England.
- 30:28Speaker 1: The guy that was crowing about how Maxwell's innocent and
- 30:31Speaker 1: this is.
- 30:31Speaker 2: All a setup. The blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 30:34Speaker 1: Whoever that clown is. I don't even remember his name.
- 30:37Speaker 1: But that's probably the person he would have went and
- 30:40Speaker 1: had the interview with. Or maybe he would have set
- 30:43Speaker 1: it up with one of his boys in New York. Mr.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Clogs himself, George Stepanopoulos. Maybe Katie Couric. Weren't they all
- 30:50Speaker 1: at Prince Andrew's little soiree dinner? That Jeffrey Epstein threw
- 30:55Speaker 1: for him? And again, I don't know about you folks,
- 30:57Speaker 1: but me personally, I've never been to dinner with one
- 31:00Speaker 1: child abuser.
- 31:01Speaker 2: Never mind multiple.
- 31:05Speaker 1: In January, the Duke of York was stripped of his
- 31:07Speaker 1: military titles in the face of the legal battle over
- 31:10Speaker 1: accusations by Virginia Roberts, 38.
- 31:13Speaker 2: Ms.
- 31:14Speaker 1: Roberts said she was coerced into sexual encounters with Andrew
- 31:18Speaker 1: in 2001 by Epstein and his longtime co-conspirator, General All-Around Scuzzbag,
- 31:24Speaker 1: fellow child abuser, Ghislaine Maxwell, on three different occasions. Andrew,
- 31:30Speaker 1: who has always denied the allegations against him, in March
- 31:33Speaker 1: agreed to pay a multi-million pound sum with no admission
- 31:36Speaker 1: of liability to bring the civil sexual assault case to
- 31:40Speaker 1: a close. It's funny how everyone's so cautious when they
- 31:43Speaker 1: talk about Andrew as well.
- 31:44Speaker 2: You know what? I'll say it.
- 31:46Speaker 1: I wish the royal family would sue me because I
- 31:48Speaker 1: have news for you. We're going all the way to discovery.
- 31:52Speaker 1: I would go all the way to discovery with these people.
- 31:57Speaker 1: So I don't know what all these journalists are so
- 31:59Speaker 1: scared about.
- 32:00Speaker 2: Oh, I don't want to slander him.
- 32:02Speaker 1: How can you slander a scumbag like this at this point?
- 32:07Speaker 1: A man that was willing to stand on the sidelines
- 32:10Speaker 1: while abused girls suffered. A man that, according to Virginia,
- 32:15Speaker 1: took part in the abuse himself. As part of the settlement,
- 32:22Speaker 1: which is not an admission of guilt, the Duke vowed
- 32:24Speaker 1: to demonstrate his regret for his association with Epstein by
- 32:28Speaker 1: supporting the fight against the evils of sex trafficking and
- 32:31Speaker 1: by supporting its victims.
- 32:33Speaker 2: This is so ridiculous.
- 32:35Speaker 1: It's as ridiculous as putting Ghislaine Maxwell and Danbury with
- 32:38Speaker 1: other victims of human traffickers, as if that won't be
- 32:42Speaker 1: triggering to them.
- 32:45Speaker 2: But this is crazy.
- 32:47Speaker 1: Prince Andrew's going to become this fighter against human trafficking?
- 32:52Speaker 1: The consoler of widows? The friend to orphans? The patron
- 32:59Speaker 1: saint of lepers? That's what he is all of a sudden?
- 33:02Speaker 1: Please miss me with the bullshit, please. But this did
- 33:07Speaker 1: not save the prince's reputation, which virtually died as the
- 33:10Speaker 1: Newsnight interview was broadcast. Ms. McAllister said she still can't
- 33:15Speaker 1: believe some of what the royal said on camera. She
- 33:18Speaker 1: couldn't believe either that the interview was eventually going to happen.
- 33:22Speaker 2: She told Ms.
- 33:23Speaker 1: Willoughby and Phillips Schofield, who would say yes to being
- 33:28Speaker 1: on Newsnight when you're accused of the things you're accused
- 33:31Speaker 1: of there. I never for a second believed that this
- 33:34Speaker 1: negotiation would be successful.
- 33:37Speaker 2: Yeah, me either. How in the hell would Prince Andrew
- 33:40Speaker 2: ever agree to this?
- 33:42Speaker 1: It is so bizarre that this dude would agree to this.
- 33:45Speaker 1: It's just, I don't even know where to begin. The
- 33:51Speaker 1: producer went on to explain that Princess Beatrice, whom Andrew
- 33:54Speaker 1: invited to the final negotiations, made the difference between yes
- 33:58Speaker 1: and no. Hey, look, his daughter is doing the right thing.
- 34:00Speaker 1: She wants to believe her dad, right? I want to
- 34:03Speaker 1: believe my dad. I want to believe that my dad's
- 34:05Speaker 1: a good man. How many of us believe our fathers
- 34:07Speaker 1: are superheroes almost? So, of course, if someone's saying this
- 34:11Speaker 1: about your dad, you're not going to believe it, right?
- 34:14Speaker 1: And you're going to say to your dad, hey, dad,
- 34:15Speaker 1: just go clear the air. Go get on the record
- 34:18Speaker 1: and tell these people what's up. I know I'd be
- 34:20Speaker 1: pushing for my dad to tell the truth. And I'm
- 34:23Speaker 1: sure that's what his daughter was doing here. The Duke's
- 34:27Speaker 1: eldest daughter was a real curveball for the production team,
- 34:30Speaker 1: as Miss McAllister said. Miss McAllister explained, Look. Look. It
- 34:57Speaker 1: has to be a bit uncomfortable, right? You're about to
- 34:59Speaker 1: blast this dude with a bunch of serious questions about
- 35:02Speaker 1: sexual abuse and his relationship with a notorious pedophile, and
- 35:07Speaker 1: he brings his daughter? So again, not Beatrice's fault, but
- 35:12Speaker 1: Prince Andrew once again trying to use his children as
- 35:15Speaker 1: a shield. And real men do not bring their family
- 35:18Speaker 1: into these sorts of matters, that's for damn sure. Real
- 35:21Speaker 1: men don't find themselves in these sorts of matters. But
- 35:25Speaker 1: here Prince Andrew is, And well, a real man, he
- 35:29Speaker 1: is not. Alright folks, that's going to do it for
- 35:32Speaker 1: this episode. If you'd like to contact me, you can
- 35:35Speaker 1: do that at bobbycapucci at protonmail.com. That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I at protonmail.com.
- 35:45Speaker 1: You can also find me on Twitter at B-O-B-B-Y underscore C-A-P-U-C-C-I.
- 35:52Speaker 1: The link that we discussed can be found in the
- 35:54Speaker 1: description box. What's up everyone, and welcome back to the
- 35:59Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. So Prince Andrew's dumbass is back in the news,
- 36:05Speaker 1: and we're hearing from one of his pals, a lawyer
- 36:08Speaker 1: who is a defamation lawyer named Paul Tweed, who said
- 36:11Speaker 1: he advised Prince Andrew about speaking to BBC and giving
- 36:15Speaker 1: that Newsnight interview. He told Prince Andrew that it was
- 36:19Speaker 1: an absolutely terrible idea, but like usual, Prince Andrew, well,
- 36:23Speaker 1: he knows better. The queen also told him, not a
- 36:26Speaker 1: great idea, buddy. But of course, Andrew thought he was
- 36:29Speaker 1: going to get up there and gaslight everybody and tell
- 36:32Speaker 1: the whole world that he was an innocent man. And instead,
- 36:36Speaker 1: it was the opposite reaction, wasn't it? Everybody took a
- 36:39Speaker 1: look at that interview and said to themselves, what an
- 36:42Speaker 1: absolute skeevox this dude is. He didn't offer any bit
- 36:46Speaker 1: of evidence. He didn't offer anything that would change my
- 36:49Speaker 1: mind anyway about what we have learned about this dude.
- 36:53Speaker 1: And besides a bunch of nonsense coming from surrogates and
- 36:56Speaker 1: people around him, there's nobody that's serious that's talking about
- 37:00Speaker 1: Prince Andrew making a comeback or anything like that. That's
- 37:04Speaker 1: all just fantasy land. Stuff that his camp floats out there.
- 37:08Speaker 1: You know, the four or five people that are still
- 37:10Speaker 1: around him. They float that out there and they see
- 37:12Speaker 1: what happens. What's the reaction going to be? But the
- 37:15Speaker 1: reality for Prince Andrew is the party is over. He's
- 37:18Speaker 1: never coming back. He's never going to be welcomed back
- 37:22Speaker 1: into polite society, and most certainly, not as a representative
- 37:26Speaker 1: of the English people. Today we have an article from
- 37:30Speaker 1: the DailyMail.com, headline, I warn Prince Andrew it was a
- 37:34Speaker 1: bad idea to agree to the infamous Newsnight interview, Duke
- 37:38Speaker 1: of York's lawyer pal says. This article was authored by
- 37:42Speaker 1: Vanessa Allen and Claudia Joseph. You have to be one
- 37:46Speaker 1: dumbass moron to think doing that interview is a good idea.
- 37:50Speaker 1: There was never a point in time when that interview
- 37:53Speaker 1: should have even been a thing for Prince Andrew. The
- 37:56Speaker 1: answer should have been, no thank you, I'll pass. And
- 37:59Speaker 1: if you're innocent, or if Jeffrey Epstein was blackmailing you
- 38:02Speaker 1: or something, you should have went to the authorities and
- 38:04Speaker 1: sat down with the FBI and spilled the beans. You
- 38:07Speaker 1: didn't do anything like that. What you did was you
- 38:10Speaker 1: retreated behind your mom's skirts. Prince Andrew was warned it
- 38:15Speaker 1: was a bad idea for him to discuss his links
- 38:18Speaker 1: with disgraced financier pedophile Jeffrey Epstein on Newsnight, a friend
- 38:23Speaker 1: revealed yesterday. Lawyer Paul Tweed said he advised the Duke
- 38:27Speaker 1: of York against speaking to the BBC about his links
- 38:30Speaker 1: with the convicted pedophile and then told the senior.
- 38:34Speaker 2: Aide, is he mad? No way. No, no, no.
- 38:38Speaker 1: He said Andrew ignored his advice and made his mind
- 38:41Speaker 1: up to tell his version of events to the broadcaster.
- 38:45Speaker 1: And when you have a friend of yours who's a
- 38:46Speaker 1: lawyer telling you this, a good lawyer, and you know,
- 38:49Speaker 1: not somebody you're paying, but a good lawyer who's just
- 38:51Speaker 1: a friend, and they're advising you not to have this
- 38:54Speaker 1: conversation on national TV, it's probably a good idea to
- 38:59Speaker 1: listen to what they're saying. And if not, well, you
- 39:01Speaker 1: only have yourself to blame. And Prince Andrew, once again,
- 39:05Speaker 1: has made a cage of his very own design that
- 39:08Speaker 1: he's living in. This man has created all of his
- 39:12Speaker 1: own problems. Nobody created these problems for him. Nobody told
- 39:16Speaker 1: him to pal around with Epstein. Nobody told him to
- 39:19Speaker 1: be a general all-around dickhead. He chose to do all
- 39:22Speaker 1: of that, just like he chose to ignore the good
- 39:25Speaker 1: advice of his friend here, Paul Tweed, and do the interview.
- 39:29Speaker 1: The disastrous two 2019 interview and its fallout effectively ended
- 39:33Speaker 1: Andrew's role in public life. The Duke admitted he had
- 39:36Speaker 1: visited Epstein shortly after the billionaire financier, pedophiles, released from
- 39:41Speaker 1: jail for soliciting underage sex, and said, that was the
- 39:45Speaker 1: wrong decision. Yeah, you think? The wrong decision? the Prince
- 39:49Speaker 1: of England, a Prince of the Blood, going to hang
- 39:52Speaker 1: out with a convicted pedophile, sleeping on his couch, breaking
- 39:56Speaker 1: bread with him, and doing Lord knows what else, I
- 39:59Speaker 1: think it's safe to say that that ranks right up
- 40:02Speaker 1: near the top of bad decisions of all time. He
- 40:06Speaker 1: said he did not regret his association with Epstein as
- 40:09Speaker 1: it had some seriously beneficial outcomes and gave no apology
- 40:13Speaker 1: to Epstein's victims.
- 40:15Speaker 2: No, he didn't.
- 40:16Speaker 1: He sat there and acted like he was being victimized
- 40:19Speaker 1: or something, like he was being wrongfully targeted.
- 40:23Speaker 2: Bro.
- 40:24Speaker 1: Everything you did with your boy Epstein, everything you did
- 40:27Speaker 1: with all of the other undesirable scumbags you were hanging
- 40:31Speaker 1: out with, you have to know at some point was
- 40:34Speaker 1: going to come home and those chickens were going to roost.
- 40:37Speaker 1: But when you're somebody like Prince Andrew and you have
- 40:40Speaker 1: these kinds of narcissistic traits, you don't see that for
- 40:43Speaker 1: what it is. You don't see that there's a problem
- 40:46Speaker 1: with what you're doing because guess what? You can never
- 40:50Speaker 1: be wrong, right? You're always in the right on Prince Andrew.
- 40:54Speaker 1: I've never been reprimanded. I've never been punished. I've never
- 40:57Speaker 1: been told no. So why should I be told no now?
- 41:00Speaker 1: And that's the way Prince Andrew has always lived his life.
- 41:04Speaker 1: And thankfully, he had a nice dose of reality during
- 41:08Speaker 1: this interview when basically a bucket of cold ass water
- 41:12Speaker 1: was dumped on his head and he was told it
- 41:15Speaker 1: was time to wake up. But unfortunately, he seems to
- 41:18Speaker 1: still be sleepwalking through life. The interview is now at
- 41:22Speaker 1: the center of a two-part Channel 4 documentary, Andrew, The
- 41:25Speaker 1: Problem Prince. The program includes insights from the Newsnight team,
- 41:30Speaker 1: which filmed the interview, journalist Emily Maitlis, and producer Sam McAllister,
- 41:35Speaker 1: lawyers for one of the Epstein survivors, and Andrew's friends.
- 41:40Speaker 2: Mr.
- 41:40Speaker 1: Tweed, a defamation lawyer and long-standing friend of the Duke,
- 41:44Speaker 1: said he was told about the plans for an interview
- 41:47Speaker 1: a month before it was filmed. Speaking to Andrew as
- 41:51Speaker 1: a friend, he said, look, that would not be a
- 41:54Speaker 1: good idea, sir. He then got a call from Andrew's
- 41:57Speaker 1: then chief of staff, Amanda Thirsk, saying the Duke had
- 42:01Speaker 1: decided to do the interview. And we know that Amanda
- 42:03Speaker 1: Thirsk lost her job as well. She's no longer working
- 42:07Speaker 1: with the prince. Who the hell knows what she's up to?
- 42:09Speaker 1: But she got canned in the end as well. Anybody
- 42:12Speaker 1: who was OK with Andrew doing this interview should be fired.
- 42:18Speaker 1: And look, like the rest of you, I'm over the
- 42:20Speaker 1: moon that he did it. Anytime one of these clowns
- 42:22Speaker 1: wants to get on TV, open their big fat yaps
- 42:25Speaker 1: and expose themselves, I'm all for it. But as far
- 42:29Speaker 1: as he's concerned, and as far as his camp is concerned, oh,
- 42:32Speaker 1: I'm sure there were many nights of people staying up
- 42:35Speaker 1: with Ajita, freaking out that.
- 42:37Speaker 2: This idiot was going to do this interview.
- 42:40Speaker 1: And when you have a good friend of yours, like
- 42:42Speaker 1: Paul Tweed, telling you, bro, you're making a big mistake.
- 42:46Speaker 2: You should probably listen.
- 42:49Speaker 1: Mr. Tweed told the Channel 4 documentary, I said, is
- 42:52Speaker 1: he mad?
- 42:53Speaker 2: No way. No, no, no.
- 42:55Speaker 1: That's a bad idea. You should not do it. Amanda
- 42:58Speaker 1: just said, look, Paul, I've got to go.
- 43:00Speaker 2: I'll call you later.
- 43:01Speaker 1: The phone was put down abruptly and that was it.
- 43:05Speaker 1: So instead of taking the advice of his lawyer friend, Mr.
- 43:08Speaker 1: Tweed here, he's taking the advice of all of the
- 43:11Speaker 1: yes men that are around him. And that's the biggest problem.
- 43:15Speaker 1: When you're surrounded by yes men, And nobody has the
- 43:17Speaker 1: courage to ever say to you, look, you're acting out
- 43:20Speaker 1: of line. You're talking out of the side of your neck.
- 43:22Speaker 1: You're being stupid. Well, you're just going to go on
- 43:25Speaker 1: and continue to be stupid. And you know what they say, right?
- 43:29Speaker 1: Play stupid games and you win stupid prizes. And Prince
- 43:32Speaker 1: Andrew is the king of winning stupid prizes. So obviously
- 43:36Speaker 1: the Duke, for better or for worse, had made up
- 43:38Speaker 1: his mind. He was going to do it. The Duke
- 43:41Speaker 1: made that decision on his own against most advice. Mr.
- 43:45Speaker 1: Tweed said Andrew was a very decent, straightforward individual, but
- 43:50Speaker 1: believes he had been very naive in his dealings with Epstein.
- 43:54Speaker 2: Oh, give me a break. It's always naive this, naive that.
- 43:57Speaker 2: Vafangul naive.
- 43:58Speaker 1: He knew what he was doing, and he chose to
- 44:00Speaker 1: chill with Epstein even when Epstein was outed. So I
- 44:03Speaker 1: don't want to hear shit about, oh, he's naive. He
- 44:05Speaker 1: didn't know who Epstein was. He didn't know what Epstein
- 44:08Speaker 1: was up to. Everybody knew. He said the relationship was
- 44:12Speaker 1: totally ill-judged, totally inappropriate, and he believed Epstein had set
- 44:17Speaker 1: up a notorious photo of himself with the Duke in
- 44:20Speaker 1: New York Central Park in 2010. We know that's not
- 44:24Speaker 1: true either. We've heard from the photographers who took the photo,
- 44:28Speaker 1: who said they just happened to see this situation unfolding
- 44:31Speaker 1: and were in the right place at the right time.
- 44:34Speaker 1: Andrew's camp, though, they floated the idea that this was
- 44:36Speaker 1: all a setup. Epstein had served an 18-month sentence for
- 44:41Speaker 1: soliciting sex from an underage girl in Florida and had
- 44:44Speaker 1: been released from prison just months before Andrew visited him
- 44:48Speaker 1: in New York. He was later found dead in his
- 44:50Speaker 1: prison cell in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
- 44:56Speaker 1: So your boy gets out of jail, right, for sex
- 44:59Speaker 1: offense crimes, and then you, the Prince of England, decide
- 45:02Speaker 1: you're going to fly across the pond and go stay
- 45:04Speaker 1: at his house. And then you're going to tell us
- 45:06Speaker 1: you did all of that because you wanted to tell
- 45:08Speaker 1: him you didn't want to be friends anymore. That's your story.
- 45:12Speaker 1: That's the narrative you're sticking to. No wonder your friends
- 45:15Speaker 1: didn't want you to do that interview.
- 45:18Speaker 2: Mr.
- 45:19Speaker 1: Tweed, who has represented Andrew's ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, in civil litigation,
- 45:23Speaker 1: said the effect of the Newsnight interview on the Duke
- 45:26Speaker 1: and his family has been horrendous, but believed he could
- 45:30Speaker 1: return to public life, saying, I would never say never
- 45:33Speaker 1: in any case. Well, He must be smoking mushrooms because
- 45:36Speaker 1: there's no way Prince Andrew is ever coming back to
- 45:40Speaker 1: public life. Unless, of course, he provides some evidence that
- 45:43Speaker 1: shows that his accuser is not telling the truth.
- 45:46Speaker 2: You have that evidence. Let's see it.
- 45:48Speaker 1: But until you can provide something as far as evidence
- 45:51Speaker 1: is concerned, shut up and go back to the stable
- 45:55Speaker 1: and muck the shit. In the Newsnight interview, Andrew denied
- 46:00Speaker 1: claims from one of Epstein's survivors, Virginia Roberts, that she
- 46:04Speaker 1: was trafficked to have sex with him in 2001, when
- 46:07Speaker 1: she was 17.
- 46:09Speaker 2: He told Ms.
- 46:09Speaker 1: Maitlis he did not remember meeting Ms. Roberts, and he
- 46:13Speaker 1: was at a birthday party at a Pizza Express in
- 46:16Speaker 1: Woking on the day she said that they met. Him
- 46:19Speaker 1: going to a Pizza Express in Woking is like Bill
- 46:23Speaker 1: Clinton going to your local Pizza Hut. It's not going
- 46:25Speaker 1: to happen. He also denied her recollection of him sweating
- 46:29Speaker 1: heavily as they danced at a nightclub in central London.
- 46:33Speaker 1: and insisted he had been unable to sweat after an
- 46:36Speaker 1: adrenaline overdose during the Falklands War. Meanwhile, there's tons of
- 46:40Speaker 1: pictures of Dum Dum over here sweating through his shirt.
- 46:45Speaker 1: Andrew Pater reported £ 9. 6 million settlement to Ms. Roberts after
- 46:50Speaker 1: she launched a civil lawsuit in New York accusing him
- 46:53Speaker 1: of sexual abuse, although he continues to deny any wrongdoing. Ms.
- 46:58Speaker 1: Roberts' lawyer, Sigrid McCauley, said the Newsnight interview gave her
- 47:02Speaker 1: a roadmap to tear him apart in the civil claim. 100%. Again,
- 47:07Speaker 1: I've said it from the beginning, and I'll continue to
- 47:10Speaker 1: say it, folks. Prince Andrew is his own worst enemy.
- 47:14Speaker 1: All right, folks, that's going to do it for this one.
- 47:18Speaker 1: All of the information that goes with the episode can
- 47:20Speaker 1: be found in the description box.
