  Speaker 1: think is prayer. I think prayer helps us in so

  Speaker 1: many ways. But right now, what I want to do

  Speaker 1: is I want to show you how prayer pays off.

  Speaker 1: I want to show you what good it can do

  Speaker 1: for you. Even me, I use it every day, and

  Speaker 1: the days I don't use it, I feel it that that,

  Speaker 1: you know, the days that I go, you know, without

  Speaker 1: talking to him as much, I notice it. I feel it.

  Speaker 1: I feel a certain kind of way, you know, those

  Speaker 1: that doubt starts slipping in again, that uneasy feeling of

  Speaker 1: uncertain and he slips in again, that that wondering what

  Speaker 1: you know, if people would just keep it real with

  Speaker 1: to talk to you about how prayer pays off. It's

  Speaker 1: called it all eye and money. People got money, call

  Speaker 1: it all eyes. So return on investment. People always looking

  Speaker 1: for a return on investment. You know, nobody, nobody in

  Speaker 1: business really gives you money without understanding the return on investment.

  Speaker 1: They don't even give money to charities unless they think

  Speaker 1: it can do something with the bottom line. A lot

  Speaker 1: of companies work like that. I found out out myself. Sad,

  Speaker 1: but it is true. So since everything is expected to

  Speaker 1: work on a return on investment, I assume because we're
• 2:21
  Speaker 1: human beings. So since we are human beings, whether you're
• 2:24
  Speaker 1: in business or not, you still in the business of living.

  Speaker 1: I think when you pray, you should expect a return
• 2:34
  Speaker 1: on your investment. You talk to it, you spend time

  Speaker 1: opening up to him, you bowed your head to him,

  Speaker 1: you humbled yourself, you got on your knees. I mean,

  Speaker 1: but really we talking God here. So really, what you

  Speaker 1: doing ain't really about nothing. Be honest with you. A

  Speaker 1: little bit that you do do on his behalf, it

  Speaker 1: just pays in comparison with what he does. But let's

  Speaker 1: just say you call yourself invested. Well, let me show

  Speaker 1: me through. And then I want that I was, I

  Speaker 1: had it mapped out. God must have been chuckling really hard.

  Speaker 1: He had to been gonna. Boy, I made you to

  Speaker 1: be funny. But boy, you funny now. So you're gonna

  Speaker 1: tell me how to do it. And you've all heard

  Speaker 1: this right here. If you want to make God laugh

  Speaker 1: telling me your plan, well that's what I did. And

  Speaker 1: that's how we pray. A lot of times we pray,

  Speaker 1: and we pray. In the prayer, we're telling him how

  Speaker 1: to work it out. Well, here's a deal. This is

  Speaker 1: what I've learned. Prayer pays off in different ways. There's

  Speaker 1: a different return of my investment when I pray. See,

  Speaker 1: sometimes when I'm praying for something, a situation to dissolve

  Speaker 1: itself or go away, sometimes I get courage out of
• 4:31
  Speaker 1: the prayer. Prayer provides me courage that's just to go
• 4:37
  Speaker 1: on and look at it. I guess face it. Then.

  Speaker 1: Sometimes when I'm praying about a situation, sometimes prayer gives
• 4:47
  Speaker 1: me hanging power. Sometimes, man, it just I look up
• 4:51
  Speaker 1: and I'm just handling it better. Sometimes prayer gives you
• 4:55
  Speaker 1: laugh at off power. Sometimes, man, you just got to

  Speaker 1: laugh at off whatever, man, you trip it? Do you

  Speaker 1: know what that is? If you could do that? You know,

  Speaker 1: sometimes it gives it gives you a show of strength power.

  Speaker 1: Sometimes prayer allows you to have the appearance that you

  Speaker 1: got it all together. Nobody got to know. The world winning,

  Speaker 1: the tornado, the hurricane that's swirling in your life. You

  Speaker 1: standing over that like the eye the hurricane, you just
• 5:30
  Speaker 1: and it's all swelling around you. But you standing there
• 5:33
  Speaker 1: like the eye, you just as calm. That's what prayer does.

  Speaker 1: So when you pray, man, it builds up a lot

  Speaker 1: of things in you. You know what it's done for me.

  Speaker 1: Prayer has built up character in me. It's made me
• 5:46
  Speaker 1: have more character because I'm able to stand stronger on

  Speaker 1: the things I say because I've been praying, because I've

  Speaker 1: been asking God for all of those return of investments.

  Speaker 1: I've been asking God for courage. I've been asking God

  Speaker 1: for hanging in that power. I've been asking him to
• 6:03
  Speaker 1: give me the power to walk away. I've asked him
• 6:05
  Speaker 1: to give me ignored power. I've asked him to help
• 6:08
  Speaker 1: me laugh it off. I've asked him to show me strength.

  Speaker 1: But you know what I was doing, I was really praying,
• 6:13
  Speaker 1: not really for them. Things be real with you. I

  Speaker 1: was asking him to help me, Lord, help me. You

  Speaker 1: ever done that? You have asked God for help? And

  Speaker 1: then all of a sudden, the list of these things

  Speaker 1: show up. See, sometimes how you want the problem to

  Speaker 1: be solved ain't the best way. There's a lesson to

  Speaker 1: be learned when we make mistakes. And sometimes you got
• 6:31
  Speaker 1: to stay in that fire and you got to learn

  Speaker 1: that lesson. But guess what, though, when you come out

  Speaker 1: of it, you're gonna be better for it. You gonna

  Speaker 1: know more about it. Come on, y'all, pray. He's solid.

  Speaker 1: His word is true. It lasts forever. He do what

  Speaker 1: and then some more. His word don't ever change. It's true.
