  Speaker 1: and it got me hyped up to see this match

  Speaker 1: in a way that I wasn't before. And it just

  Speaker 1: illustrates again he is somebody who, whether or not you

  Speaker 1: think he's going to end up being the face of

  Speaker 1: WWE and the guy who really runs the place. Clearly

  Speaker 1: they have him tad for big things. We've known this
• 3:46
  Speaker 1: for a while now. We've known this since the early

  Speaker 1: days of NXT two point zero. Right, he was the
• 3:50
  Speaker 1: hand picked one. He was the chosen one. Right. He's

  Speaker 1: a Steiner, It's in his blood. But I do think

  Speaker 1: that the more we get to hear from him in
• 3:58
  Speaker 1: these types of segments situations, the more that we will

  Speaker 1: see him as somebody who I think could be not

  Speaker 1: just the champion, but could be somebody who leads a

  Speaker 1: brand on his own, you know, as we look ahead

  Speaker 1: in the years to come. This is the sort of

  Speaker 1: promo that I was hoping to see. After he beat

  Speaker 1: the hell out of Seth Rollins and walked up to

  Speaker 1: Bronson Reed and said, you're either with me or you're

  Speaker 1: against me. And he walked up to Paul Hayman and

  Speaker 1: And this is where I thought it was going to go,

  Speaker 1: where Bron would take more of a leadership role, he

  Speaker 1: would take more of an alpha male type of role

  Speaker 1: in the vision, and they didn't do that. You know,

  Speaker 1: he just became I mean, he didn't become anything. He

  Speaker 1: Paul Hayman was leading the charge, so he was being

  Speaker 1: more assertive here. He was just showing a side of

  Speaker 1: himself that I would like to see more of that

  Speaker 1: guy right there that we saw in the ring tonight.

  Speaker 1: That could be your world heavyweight champion. That's the guy

  Speaker 1: that I could buy into as being the top champion

  Speaker 1: here on this show. So I thought for him, it

  Speaker 1: was a great night, and I'm hoping, hoping that they

  Speaker 1: make the right decision when it comes time to choose

  Speaker 1: whether or not they are ready to put that championship

  Speaker 1: on him or not. I'm not even saying it's going

  Speaker 1: to happen on January fifth, but that's when the ball

  Speaker 1: guy right there should be front and center. We talk

  Speaker 1: a lot about how the main events scene in WWE
• 5:46
  Speaker 1: is populated by a lot of older guys, guys that
• 5:49
  Speaker 1: have been around for many years, and they've been in

  Speaker 1: this position before, and it just it gets tiring after
• 5:54
  Speaker 1: a while. Right, They're all big names, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhades,
• 5:58
  Speaker 1: CM Punk. Right, they're all big names, so of course
• 6:00
  Speaker 1: you want them in the mix. But at some point
• 6:03
  Speaker 1: you also have to pull the trigger and say, okay,
• 6:05
  Speaker 1: it's time that we really put our muscle behind one
• 6:07
  Speaker 1: of these younger guys, one of these newer guys, so

  Speaker 1: it doesn't just feel like we're seeing the same faces
• 6:13
  Speaker 1: over and over again. You know, bron Breaker is part
• 6:16
  Speaker 1: of that vision, no pun intended. But we also know
• 6:20
  Speaker 1: who is going to be wrestling in the finals of
• 6:23
  Speaker 1: the John Cena Last Time Is Now Tournament. This tournament
• 6:27
  Speaker 1: has been very half assed from the very beginning, and
• 6:30
  Speaker 1: one of the few beacons of light in this entire
• 6:34
  Speaker 1: tournament has been Gunther. This man we didn't see him
• 6:37
  Speaker 1: since SummerSlam. He came back in this tournament and he
• 6:41
  Speaker 1: wrestled Javon Evans in Madison Square Garden and they had
• 6:46
  Speaker 1: my favorite match of the entire tournament, had a very
• 6:48
  Speaker 1: good match. And Gunther went in there last week against
• 6:52
  Speaker 1: Carmelo Hayes and they had a very good match. And
• 6:56
  Speaker 1: then we saw Pentaget hurt and the whole of seeing
• 7:00
  Speaker 1: Gunther and Penta in the semi finals went up in smoke.
• 7:03
  Speaker 1: Although depending on who you believe, that match was never
• 7:05
  Speaker 1: planned to begin with, but regardless, we ended up with
• 7:08
  Speaker 1: Gunther against Solo Socoa and like you hear that, you
• 7:12
  Speaker 1: say guntherer and Solo Socoa, you know, in the semifinals.
• 7:16
  Speaker 1: It was kind of weird how tonight the two matches.
• 7:18
  Speaker 1: We had Babyface against Babyface and we had heel against heel,
• 7:22
  Speaker 1: and it's not an easy thing to work that dynamic,
• 7:24
  Speaker 1: especially heel against heel, but somehow these two made it work.
• 7:29
  Speaker 1: They found a way to make it work. Gunther and
• 7:32
  Speaker 1: Solo Socoa had a match tonight that far exceeded the
• 7:35
  Speaker 1: expectations that I had for it. And it was slow
• 7:38
  Speaker 1: to start. It took some time to really build the
• 7:40
  Speaker 1: fans really, you know, didn't have somebody, they didn't have
• 7:43
  Speaker 1: a dog in the fight. You know, they didn't really
• 7:45
  Speaker 1: have somebody to cheer for what it started. But by
• 7:48
  Speaker 1: the time it was over, these two guys went out
• 7:50
  Speaker 1: there and they had a really good match. And as
• 7:53
  Speaker 1: much credit as I give to Gun there, because he's
• 7:55
  Speaker 1: had nothing but bangers in this tournament so far, you
• 7:58
  Speaker 1: got to give credit to Solo to what we saw
• 8:00
  Speaker 1: out of him. I think in the ring tonight is
• 8:03
  Speaker 1: the kind of match that, honestly, I have not seen
• 8:05
  Speaker 1: out of him since he was doing the street fighter
• 8:08
  Speaker 1: gimmick in NXT. He was a babyface in NXT and
• 8:13
  Speaker 1: he has some really good matches down there. He just
• 8:16
  Speaker 1: had a different role when he got called up to
• 8:18
  Speaker 1: the main roster. He was the silent enforcer in the Bloodline,
• 8:21
  Speaker 1: so he never spoke, he wasn't wrestling all the time.
• 8:26
  Speaker 1: In that character. He was fine. He served his purpose
• 8:29
  Speaker 1: in that group. He was great. And then you know,
• 8:32
  Speaker 1: they obviously split him away from Roman and he formed
• 8:36
  Speaker 1: his own crew and now he's got the MFTs and
• 8:39
  Speaker 1: you see these, you know, little moments where he could
• 8:42
  Speaker 1: be very funny and he can be entertaining. You know
• 8:44
  Speaker 1: that he's got a personality there, but they have him
• 8:47
  Speaker 1: playing this role of, you know, the boss of the MFTs,
• 8:51
  Speaker 1: and it's a serious role and it's just fucking it's death.
• 8:55
  Speaker 1: It's death on the show. It's not a role that
• 8:58
  Speaker 1: really suits him. He's not the leader of a faction.

  Speaker 1: And it's one of the things about SmackDown, frankly that
• 9:05
  Speaker 1: is very boring on Friday nights, especially because they refuse
• 9:09
  Speaker 1: to actually flesh out and develop any of the other
• 9:12
  Speaker 1: characters in that group. And so long as they can
• 9:15
  Speaker 1: insist on not doing so, I'm going to continue to
• 9:17
  Speaker 1: trash them. But then we saw you know, kind of
• 9:20
  Speaker 1: flashes of the old Solo Socoa in the ring tonight,
• 9:23
  Speaker 1: which just showed you that, you know, depending on who
• 9:25
  Speaker 1: he's in the ring with, he can you know, go
• 9:26
  Speaker 1: in there and work with anybody else just as well
• 9:30
  Speaker 1: as anybody else. And they went out there and had

  Speaker 1: a really good match. So we'll get into what happened

  Speaker 1: there a little bit later. On the other night, of course,

  Speaker 1: was the other match was jay Uso against La Night,

  Speaker 1: and I know who I was rooting for in that match,

  Speaker 1: you know, Rakishi. I'm sure was glued to the TV

  Speaker 1: screen tonight, and he's probably not very happy that both
• 9:48
  Speaker 1: of his boys got bounced out of the tournament in
• 9:51
  Speaker 1: the same night. I'm sure he's not very happy about that.

  Speaker 1: We also had a real good main event until it
• 9:59
  Speaker 1: was ruined the Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss against Rheo
• 10:03
  Speaker 1: Ripley and EO Sky, and it was ruined by the
• 10:06
  Speaker 1: Kabuki Warriors, and we saw Bailey and Lyra get involved,
• 10:09
  Speaker 1: and the Judgment Day ladies got involved. What it was

  Speaker 1: was just shining a spotlight on the tag team division,
• 10:16
  Speaker 1: the women's tag team division. You had five teams out
• 10:18
  Speaker 1: there at the end of the show tonight, and there
• 10:22
  Speaker 1: really aren't many more than that. I mean, the only

  Speaker 1: other one I could think of might be the secret hervist,
• 10:28
  Speaker 1: so you'd be at most you have half a dozen teams.

  Speaker 1: But you saw all those women involved in the closing
• 10:33
  Speaker 1: segment tonight. They shined a spotlight on them. Live Morgan

  Speaker 1: was the final person that we saw before the show

  Speaker 1: faded to black tonight. Live Morgan is back. If you

  Speaker 1: didn't see Survivor series, she made her return. She helped
• 10:47
  Speaker 1: Dom win the Intercontinental title back from John Cena, and
• 10:51
  Speaker 1: it's great to have her back on the show. She
• 10:53
  Speaker 1: was one of the key characters on Monday nights. There
• 10:57
  Speaker 1: were a lot of different storyline possibilities with her and

  Speaker 1: Finn Balor, her and dom, her and Roxanne, and then
• 11:04
  Speaker 1: she got hurt, so they pulled her off television altogether.

  Speaker 1: So I was very curious when she came back, you know,
• 11:09
  Speaker 1: are they going to pick up where they left off
• 11:11
  Speaker 1: with the tension. There was this underlying tension with her
• 11:14
  Speaker 1: in Roxane Perez and there was I can't call it underlying.

  Speaker 1: It was pretty well out there, the tension between her
• 11:21
  Speaker 1: and Finn Balor. We got none of that on the
• 11:24
  Speaker 1: show tonight. All is well for the time being. All
• 11:27
  Speaker 1: as well in the ranks of the Judgment day and
• 11:30
  Speaker 1: liv Morgan appears to be the de facto leader of
• 11:33
  Speaker 1: this crew. That's how she acted tonight. So for the
• 11:36
  Speaker 1: time being anyway, everything's copasetic and there really wasn't a
• 11:39
  Speaker 1: whole lot of drama, which doesn't make for the best
• 11:43
  Speaker 1: television if everybody is getting along, But I guess they
• 11:47
  Speaker 1: wanted to have a fresh start. Live is back and

  Speaker 1: all is well for now for now, So when this

  Speaker 1: show was over. It felt like there was enough on

  Speaker 1: say it was a bad show. Wasn't a bad show.
