Speaker 1: What's up everyone, and welcome back to the program. In
• 0:03
Speaker 1: this episode, we're picking up where we left off with
• 0:06
Speaker 1: the Tyler Robinson probable cause. After David expanded crime scene investigation,
• 0:14
Speaker 1: law enforcement officers followed the suspect's escape path to the
• 0:17
Speaker 1: northeast end of campus, where they believe the suspect left
• 0:21
Speaker 1: campus and entered a woodelleria. In that woodal aeria, investigators
• 0:25
Speaker 1: found the bolt action rifle wrapped in a towel. The
• 0:29
Speaker 1: rifle contained one spent round and three unspent rounds. This
• 0:33
Speaker 1: is consistent with the fax officers observed at the time
• 0:37
Speaker 1: of and immediately after the shooting. No shell casings were
• 0:41
Speaker 1: found on the roof, suggesting a bolt action rather than
• 0:44
Speaker 1: an auto loading weapon, and only a single round that
• 0:47
Speaker 1: was fired. Each round in the rifle contained an etched
• 0:52
Speaker 1: inscription as follows. Fired cartridge notices bulge, Oh woe what
• 0:58
Speaker 1: is this? Cartridge? Hey? Fascist? Catch? Third cartridge? Oh bellachow
• 1:06
Speaker 1: bellachow bella chow chow chow. Fourth cartridge. If you read
• 1:11
Speaker 1: this you are gay LMAO. The rifle, ammunition, rounds, and
• 1:17
Speaker 1: towell were sent for forensic processing DNA that was consistent
• 1:21
Speaker 1: with Robinson's was found on the trigger, other parts of
• 1:24
Speaker 1: the rifle, the fired cartridge, casing, two of the three
• 1:27
Speaker 1: unfired cartridges, and the towel. Law enforcement was unable to
• 1:32
Speaker 1: immediately locate the shooter, so they published photos of the
• 1:35
Speaker 1: shooter from the UVU surveillance camera and asked for the
• 1:38
Speaker 1: public's help to identify them. Meanwhile, law enforcement continued to
• 1:42
Speaker 1: try and identify the shooter through other means the Washington
• 1:47
Speaker 1: County investigation. On the evening of September eleventh, twenty twenty five,
• 1:51
Speaker 1: as law enforcement continued their investigation, Tyler James Robinson went
• 1:56
Speaker 1: to the Washington County Sheriff's office with his parents and
• 1:59
Speaker 1: a family friend to turn himself in. Robinson's mother stated
• 2:04
Speaker 1: the following to the police. On September eleventh, twenty twenty five,
• 2:08
Speaker 1: the day after the shooting, Robinson's mother saw the photo
• 2:11
Speaker 1: of the shooter in the news and thought the shooter
• 2:13
Speaker 1: looked like her son. Robinson's mother called her son and
• 2:16
Speaker 1: asked him where he was. He said he was at
• 2:19
Speaker 1: home sick, and that he had also been at home
• 2:21
Speaker 1: sick on September tenth. Robinson's mother expressed concern to her
• 2:25
Speaker 1: husband that the suspected shooter looked like Robinson. Robinson's father agreed.
• 2:32
Speaker 1: Robinson's mother explained that over the last year or so,
• 2:35
Speaker 1: Robinson had become more political and had started to lean
• 2:38
Speaker 1: more to the left, becoming more pro gay and transrite oriented.
• 2:43
Speaker 1: She stated that Robinson began to date his roommate, a
• 2:46
Speaker 1: biological male who was transitioning genders. This resulted in several
• 2:51
Speaker 1: discussions with family members, but especially between Robinson and his father,
• 2:56
Speaker 1: who have very different political views. In one conversation for
• 3:00
Speaker 1: the shooting, Robinson mentioned that Charlie Kirk would be holding
• 3:04
Speaker 1: an event at UVU, which Robinson said was a stupid venue.
• 3:08
Speaker 1: For the event, Robinson accused Kirk of spreading hate. Robinson's
• 3:13
Speaker 1: father reported that when his wife showed him the surveillance
• 3:16
Speaker 1: image of the suspected shooter in the news, he agreed
• 3:19
Speaker 1: that it looked like their son. He also believed that
• 3:22
Speaker 1: the rifle that police suspected the shooter used matched a
• 3:25
Speaker 1: rifle that was given to his son as a gift.
• 3:28
Speaker 1: As a result, Robinson's father contacted his son and asked
• 3:31
Speaker 1: him to send the photo of the rifle. Robinson did
• 3:34
Speaker 1: not respond. However, Robinson's father spoke on the phone with Robinson.
• 3:39
Speaker 1: Robinson implied that he planned to take his own life.
• 3:42
Speaker 1: Robinson's parents were able to convince him to meet at
• 3:45
Speaker 1: their home. As they discussed the situation, Robinson implied that
• 3:49
Speaker 1: he was a shooter and stated that he couldn't go
• 3:52
Speaker 1: to jail and just wanted to end it. When asked
• 3:56
Speaker 1: why he did it, Robinson explained, there's too much evil
• 3:59
Speaker 1: and the guy Charlie Kirk spreads too much hate. They
• 4:02
Speaker 1: talked about Robinson turning himself in and convinced Robinson to
• 4:05
Speaker 1: speak with family friend who's a retired deputy sheriff. At
• 4:09
Speaker 1: Robinson's father's request, the family friend met with Robinson and
• 4:13
Speaker 1: his parents and convinced Robinson to turn himself in. The
• 4:18
Speaker 1: family friend spoke to police and reported telling Robinson that
• 4:22
Speaker 1: it would be best if he brought all evidence with
• 4:24
Speaker 1: him to the sheriff's office to avoid having police search
• 4:27
Speaker 1: his parents home. The family friend also asked Robinson if
• 4:31
Speaker 1: he had any clothes that were related to what he did.
• 4:34
Speaker 1: Robinson replied that he had disposed of the clothes in
• 4:37
Speaker 1: different areas. The roommate. Police interviewed Robinson's roommate, a biological
• 4:43
Speaker 1: male who was involved in a romantic relationship with Robinson.
• 4:47
Speaker 1: The roommate told police that the roommate received messages from
• 4:51
Speaker 1: Robinson about the shooting and provided those messages to police.
• 4:55
Speaker 1: On September tenth, twenty twenty five, the roommate received a
• 4:59
Speaker 1: text message from Robinson which said, drop what you're doing,
• 5:02
Speaker 1: look under my keyboard. The roommate looked under the keyboard
• 5:06
Speaker 1: and found a note that stated I had the opportunity
• 5:09
Speaker 1: to take out Charlie Kirk and I'm going to take it.
• 5:12
Speaker 1: Police found a photograph of this note. The following text
• 5:15
Speaker 1: exchange then took place. After reading the note, the roommate responded,
• 5:20
Speaker 1: what you're joking, right, Robinson? I am still okay, my love,
• 5:24
Speaker 1: but I'm stuck in Orum for a little while longer yet,
• 5:27
Speaker 1: shouldn't be long until I can come home. But I
• 5:30
Speaker 1: got to grab my rifle still. To be honest, I
• 5:32
Speaker 1: had hoped to keep this secret till I died of
• 5:35
Speaker 1: old age. I'm sorry to involve you, roommate. You aren't
• 5:38
Speaker 1: the one who did it, right Robinson, I am. I'm sorry, roommate.
• 5:43
Speaker 1: I thought they caught the person, Robinson. No, they grabbed
• 5:46
Speaker 1: some crazy old dude then interrogated someone in similar clothing.
• 5:50
Speaker 1: I had planned to grab my rifle from the drop
• 5:52
Speaker 1: point shortly after, but most of that side of town
• 5:55
Speaker 1: got locked down. It's quiet, almost enough to get out,
• 5:58
Speaker 1: but there's one vehicle lingering. Roommate. Why Robinson? Why did
• 6:03
Speaker 1: I do it? Roommate, Yeah, Robinson, I had enough of
• 6:06
Speaker 1: his hatred. Some hate can't be negotiated out. If I'm
• 6:11
Speaker 1: able to grab my rifle unseen, I will have left
• 6:13
Speaker 1: no evidence going to attempt to retrieve it again. Hopefully
• 6:17
Speaker 1: they have moved on. I haven't seen anything about them
• 6:20
Speaker 1: finding it. Roommate, how long have you been planning this, Robinson?
• 6:24
  Speaker 1: A bit over a week. I believe I can get
• 6:26
Speaker 1: close to it, but there is a squad car parked
• 6:28
Speaker 1: right by it. I think they already swept that spot,
• 6:31
Speaker 1: but I don't want to chance it. Robinson. I'm wishing
• 6:34
Speaker 1: I had circled back and grabbed it as soon as
• 6:36
Speaker 1: I got back to my vehicle. I'm worried that my
• 6:38
Speaker 1: old man would do if I didn't bring Grandpa's rifle back.
• 6:42
Speaker 1: ID E k if it had a serial number, but
• 6:46
Speaker 1: it wouldn't trace to me. I worry about Prince I
• 6:49
Speaker 1: had to leave it in a bush where I changed outfits,
• 6:52
Speaker 1: didn't have the ability or time to bring it. I
• 6:55
Speaker 1: might have to abandon it and hope they don't find Prince.
• 6:58
Speaker 1: How the fuck will I explain losing it to my
• 7:00
Speaker 1: old man? Only thing I left was the rifle wrapped
• 7:04
Speaker 1: in a towel. Remember how I was engraving bullets. The
• 7:07
Speaker 1: fucking messages are mostly a big meme. If I see
• 7:10
Speaker 1: notices bulge Uwu on Fox News, I might have a stroke.
• 7:16
Speaker 1: All right, I'm gonna have to leave it. That really
• 7:18
Speaker 1: fucking sucks. Judging from today, I'd say Grandpa's gun does
• 7:22
  Speaker 1: just fine. I don't know. I think it was a
• 7:24
Speaker 1: two K scope. Robinson, Delete this exchange, Robinson. My dad
• 7:29
Speaker 1: wants photos of the rifle, he says. Grandpa wants to
• 7:32
Speaker 1: know who has what. The Feds released a photo of
• 7:34
Speaker 1: the rifle, and it's very unique. He's calling me right now,
• 7:37
Speaker 1: not answering, Robinson. Since Trump got into office, my dad
• 7:41
Speaker 1: has been pretty diehard. Maga, Robinson. I'm gonna turn myself
• 7:45
Speaker 1: in willingly. One of my neighbors here is a deputy
