[upbeat music] Welcome, welcome everybody to the Full Spectrum Cycling Podcast.
0:16
This, this one right now, the one you're listening to, this very show, is show number 163. Powered by One Si- One Sexy Three. What? [laughs] Wait, what? One Sexy Three. [laughs] Yeah. It is. Turn the lights down.
0:32
I thought we were way past, I thought we were way past that. That's really weird. What, 163? Yeah. Turn the lights down, light some candles, maybe. I think last week was 162, so- Obviously, if this was-...
0:40
would follow, then, then this is- I guess so. I don't know. I even listened to this one yes- yesterday during Dr. Suchi. How? It was Tuesday during Dr. Suchi. How was it? The podcast was good. Dr. Suchi was terrible.
0:51
[laughs] You don't know. You never listen, 'cause he was off for a couple weeks. Ha ha. Yeah, I know. I listened that time. It wasn't- [laughs] It was tolerable. You are such a whatever. [laughs] I just can't do him.
1:04
Sorry, Dr. Suchi. Apparently. [laughs] The rest of that station's fantastic, though. Holy mackerel. That got bright. Did that thing... What happened? Some- It just popped. Something got bright.
1:14
Oh, I think they must have turned the lights on or something. Mm-hmm. Well, it's, it's so sunny out now- Yeah... we don't r- really need the light at the time- Hallelujah... we do the show here. Hallelujah.
1:24
It was, uh- Praise you, Jesus... it, it was, it was sun out there- Mm-hmm, mm-hmm... on May the 4th. Mm-hmm. And [laughs] I mean, nice enough to make- Mm-hmm... Tyson. I can...
1:34
Now I can only hear Mike Tyson saying that because of JK. May the fourth be with you. May the fourth be with you. [laughs] It's hard not to hear it. Well, JK's the resident, uh, Star Wars aficionado. Nerd. Nerdlinger.
1:50
Nerd. I'm kinda like- We've been listening to the soundtracks all day long, and then had- Yeah. See that there... Mandalorian floating in the background, and da, da, da, da. Not that nerdy.
1:59
Come on, it's the day to be the nerd. [laughs] I've seen them all at some point in the past. I have. What, what's the new one called? The, uh, Rogue something. No. No. No. Stop it. Obi- Here he goes... Wan Kenobi.
2:13
O- Okay, Obi Wan Kenobi. On Disney Plus is the new- So that's coming up in a couple weeks or something... series. A new venture on the- Yes... Rogue. All right. Whatever. Ball up a newspaper and knock you with it.
2:25
[laughs] Yes, I can recite them all in order from the, the, the, including even putting in the ones that are- Even the alien dialect. Oh, God... where's your bungka wunkka. Where's your 20-sided dice, you waka?
2:39
[laughs] Walking Chewbacca. Oh, hony bokky. 21 usually. Whatever, 13 or- There were many. There were many... many sided. Oh, boy. Well, uh, what's going on? Uh, rain. Rain went on. Lots of rain.
2:54
I have been, uh- Taking a playoff. The shop get moist? It seems like. Taking a playoff? The rain is. Taking a day off? That was a rough, that was a rough, that was a rough week. Yeah.
3:07
You wanna go out and try to enjoy, but mm. It's a lot of rain. Just moist. And a lot of wind. Yeah, it was blustery. It didn't rain in the building the last rain, though. That's good. Yeah. Cool.
3:20
Did I tell you my idea now for- No. 'Cause it's raining inside the building, I figure we should have a rainforest inside the building, so we should have some- Yeah, that would work good...
3:28
window boxes or something there, and then they'll just automatically water when the- You should get moist.
3:32
You should just grab Greg from the, from the nut factory and have him build you some sort of art installation on the floor. Well, what I found on the property- Rainforest Cafe from-... which I liberated is- I love it...
3:42
uh, 20-foot sections of some kind of aluminum half round gutter. Nice. So if I can just...
3:48
And they're kinda flimsy, so I'd maybe make a little crate around them or something, and then, uh, put caps on them and fill them with dirt. Yeah. Throw some grass in there. Absolutely. Absolutely. Grass.
3:58
Of, yeah, some kinda grass. [laughs] No, something that absorbs- I think the mecha-... way more water... yeah, the mechanics room will have a specific kind of grass while the showroom will have a different kind.
4:07
[laughs] There's already CBD, allegedly CBD, being grown in the building- Mm... and it's already sometimes got a little aroma. Yes, it all smells like a skunk. Yeah. True.
4:18
So the, you see how big the chimney on this joint is from the old boiler? Yeah. It's huge. Yeah. So the grow room gets vented into that chimney, so it goes up like 150 feet into the sky. [laughs] It's a good call.
4:30
Yeah, right? It's a good call. Those downdrafts, like over by the paper, yada, yada, on North Avenue, and by Judge's RC's area, Champions- Yes... when the downdraft hits, and it's like you just get like covered in soot.
4:48
[laughs] Yeah. Wisconsin Paper Board. Oh. Yeah. I can't believe that- They're building a huge apartment building next to that. They're gonna take out Judges and everything... I can't believe that thing is still there.
4:55
It's like the only- Right... industrial thing left on the east side of Milwaukee that's still- It's huge... operational. Yeah. Well, the other side of the river's got the whatever that thing is doing, too.
5:05
Is that still a tannery, or it's- That's still a tannery... that's the one by the- They used to make the saddles for the Sallys... yeah, by the bridge, by the bench that- Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Exactly.
5:14
It's like a bridge. Exactly. Yeah. The bench that's a bridge. I don't know what, I don't know what they do in there. Yeah, I'm pretty sure- Is that-... that's still a tannery.
5:19
It's like, "Nobody judge me what I do at my bench bridge." Yeah, that's right. They did do the Selle Anatomica. Actually, the leather- The leather thing... was tanned right there. Yeah, yeah.
5:28
And then they used to assemble them in Wisconsin. Yeah. Now I think they're done in s- Sally... San Diego or somewhere out there. Yeah.
5:34
Uh, yeah, Jim, Jim that's getting the Wyatt, he's like, uh, "What do you, what do you think of those Selle Anatomicas?"
5:40
I said, "Well, if I was gonna ride a long ways, I would ride on one of those Selle Anatomicas personally." I have three. I just don't like them much for mountain biking because of the way the nose catches shorts.
5:52
I, I have had that happen once in a while. Yeah. Yeah. So I usually use an Airgun for mountain biking, which is funny 'cause I haven't been biking. It's, it's, it's shop moving time again. Hey, hey, hey.
6:03
[laughs] Hey, hey, hey. So why- You know what time it is, the most special time of the year... yeah. So why not the public house? What was your decision there? Well, he didn't want to invest.
6:14
No, the, the decision- It looks closer. [laughs] The decision was basically the building isn't the right size. It would need another half of one of those tacked onto the side to be the bike shop that...
6:25
'Cause, uh, it needs to be secured at certain times of the day, and I didn't see a way where the areas that were available were big enough to kind of then wall off and secure. It just, it... I don't know.
6:35
It didn't really- Logistically, um- It didn't float my boat, plus it was expensive- Right... relatively speaking.
6:42
Much more expensive than staying here and having Amorphic, what, you know, right out the front door of the place. That way, guess what? They make beer, I drink beer. That's fine. Fair enough. Yeah, I don't know.
6:55
And I find- It was a good idea. It still is a good idea. I just have to find the right building and place for it. There's certainly other...
7:02
Anybody knows any other places, put them in the sh- put them in the comments section where there's a bike and beer coexisting thing somewhere in this- I don't know... I know there's some in Moab or somewhere like that.
7:13
There has to be. And if it's... Is it, is it integrated into a shop/bar that's all one, or is it a bike shop next to a bar that they can- Right... kind of co-mingle? Right.
7:22
'Cause that would seem to me to be the way to go. What are you doing, Tony? Where are you going? Yeah, I think he's, he's, he's ascending to the top of the hill. Wow.
7:30
I will, I will reach very far- Oh, he should be up-... to the north. Up and up... he should be up there already on his electric bike. Hey, team- teamwork makes the dream work.
7:38
[bell ringing] [laughs] Top of the hill, baby. Each one must teach one and reach one. Thank you. Tony, Tony brought the show beer today.
7:50
I'll let him tell you about that once he gets done rustling around over there and giving us our show beer. It is all about the anticip- Pation... pation. Hey. Hey. Hey, hey, hey. [laughs] Thanks for having me back.
8:04
Yeah, Tony. Um- Tony's back... today's show beer is gonna be Fresh Haze IPA, Indian pale ale, from Deschutes. It's- Where's that? Deschutes is from Bend, Oregon. Yeah, yeah, Bend, Oregon. It's, uh- Bend, Oregon...
8:18
got 45 IBUs and 6.5% by volume. It's intense. It's intensely juicy. Tony's reading the side of the can. It says- Irresistibly hazy... in order, fresh. Freshly squeezed. Oh, no. No fruit was harmed- Harney...
8:32
in the making of this beer. Mackey. Huh. It's pretty good. It's, uh... Yeah, it's not bad. You know, it's, uh- It's, it's definitely- Any time, I, I always think of the freshly squeezed- Right...
8:41
and that's- And this is on that variant. This is- Sure. Sure... you know, of course. For some reason, I thought it was a little more regional local. Mm. Thought it was one of the, um, states between us.
8:51
Oh, you know, it was all the way out in Oregon? I didn't know- Oh... it was Oregon. Oregon. Over in the Bend- Well, it's been around-... of Oregon... according to the can, since 1988, so they've had time- Yeah.
9:00
Yeah, they've- Well, no, this is on me. [laughs] Well, they've, they've, they've had time to get it out here. Uh, I believe Joshua- Did they really? Well... when he did his crazy
9:07
extra cycle ride from Vancouver to San Fran, uh, stopped at Deschutes and sent me a picture. Nice. I was like, "Nice." That would be a thing to do. Ride your bike. Stop at breweries. Yeah, absolutely.
9:19
Camp, and then just don't go to work ever again. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. That's my new plan. I'm waiting for it.
9:26
Speaking of people that are kinda sorta doing that- We need to, you know, have our Cardona go through the roof, and then our- Yeah... our miners- That's what's gonna happen... finally mine.
9:34
Al- also, if this location for the shop doesn't work out, I'm gonna pull the plug on [laughs] this whole crazy experiment, but it should. It should work. It's really nice. What's nice?
9:45
Hey, uh, we- uh, welcome to the radio program, caller. Who do we have on the line? It's Big Sexy. How y'all doing? Uh, we're doing well. Tony. How's Big Sexy doing?
10:00
Um, it's, it's been challenging, especially since, uh, very northern Louisiana, and then, um, crossing into, uh, southeastern Arkansas, and now I'm almost to Memphis, and, uh, it's been a little challenging, especially Heather is not good.
10:21
She's, she's pissy. Pissy. How so? Um, her cha- her chains are really loose, and the front brake is about to just, like, not be a front brake anymore. So who have you found to help you out on the road?
10:38
Well, well, thankfully, I, uh, I was, I was taking a beer break earlier this afternoon, and, uh, uh, uh, a fella named Frankie came up and, and pulled up and, and said, "Are you okay?" I said, "Yeah, I'm okay.
10:53
I'm just taking a break." And, and, uh, then a couple hours later, we, uh, in a small town in Arkansas that I'm in right now called De Valls Bluff- Okay...
11:07
he offered to work on my front brake for me, and maybe we can tighten the chains, and maybe we can keep on going. Nice. Well, that sounds like a good deal. For two... It is, man. Yeah. Well, I'll tell you what.
11:19
I needed a good deal because, uh, I got ran out of, ran out of Louisiana by these cops- Oh, man... in, uh, Bastrop, Louisiana. Hmm. Okay. Um, uh, I couldn't, I couldn't find a place to plug in.
11:36
Um, I was running out of battery power on everything, speaker, uh, battery, uh, Bremen. Oh, oh, and Bremen, by the way, is Jimmy there? Nope. No Jimmy. Okay. Well, Jimmy gave me a, a battery charger.
11:53
Jimmy gave you- And it has a Bremen, Bremen Garden- Nice... sticker on it. So I call the, I call the battery charger Bremen. Nice. You follow me? Yep. Yep. We're on- I love it... we're on track.
12:06
We're, uh, we're- Oh, okay. Okay. So everything was- I couldn't find any place to plug in, and across the street from the gas station was a auto parts store.
12:19
I'm like, "Okay, auto parts store isn't gonna open 'til 9:00, 9:00 AM earliest, right? No problem. I'm gonna go over there. I've found an outdoor outlet." I, I, like, unplugged all my shit in.
12:31
[laughs] And I sat there and I was listening to my, uh, show like I usually do, and, uh, I didn't realize there was somebody inside the whole time. Oh. And she's freaking out. She's like, "There's this homeless guy,
12:47
like, sitting here, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah." And she had called the cops, and the cops pull up and they go, "Dude, you're excessive utility and you're trespassing." I'm like, "Oh, man, I'm so sorry.
13:03
If they would've asked me to leave, I would've totally hightailed it," you know, blah, blah, blah. I'm trying... You know, I'm bat-crazy at this point.
13:12
And they said, "You get on, you get on your bike and you, you, you, you pedal towards the Arkansas border and don't stop." [laughs] I said, uh, "You know- I mean, bad, but awesome...
13:24
I, I, I, I should, could sure use to go to that gas station right there and grab a couple of supplies, you know, for the road." They're like, "Nope, you just keep moving right now." [laughs] Wow. And I'm like, "Uh,
13:40
I mean, at least let me buy a pack of cigarettes." They said, "Well, go ahead and buy it and get out of here." Yeah, yeah. And they, they, like these cops were- Pushing your luck... really being assholes.
13:49
Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure. So how far a- Like I'm asking you... how, how far were you from- To go. No, I just ran into the same thing, but with, like, lesser dire psycho- About 20, uh, I'm about 22 miles-...
13:58
circumstances... from the border of Arkansas. As... You were just breaking up a little. Just 22 miles? 22 miles. Okay. About 22 miles from the border of Arkansas and they said, "Get, get moving right now."
14:11
And I'm like, "Fuck!" You know, I'm, I, I'm like, I didn't wanna get, like, a 12-pack of beer and, you know, like, you know, I'm, I'm like, "Okay." Yeah, fuck all that, man. Let me just go. Like- Yeah. Oh, yeah.
14:22
You're going, uh- And, and-... across state lines... and- [laughs] Eastbound and down...
14:27
the, the, the be- the best part about all, all of this is, is that I got to Arkansas and it was, it's been pretty fucking wonderful ever since. Awesome.
14:41
And the be- And then, um, I was just browsing YouTube, right? Mm-hmm.
14:47
And, uh, this, this, this channel I follow is called The World According to Briggs, and they also do a On This Day video, which is pretty cool, is they every day, like, they say what happened on this day in history and shit like that.
15:04
But on, on this, he said the worst towns in the USA to live in, and number seven was Bastrop, Louisiana. [laughs] Huh. And I'm like, "That's where I got let off from." Ah.
15:19
That's where they, they, they, they, that, that, that's one of the worst towns in the USA to live. Well- And I'm like, "Man, these-" You, you demonstrated that... these are the best, best people ever. Wow.
15:33
Anyway, but my boy Frankie here. Say hi, Frankie. There he goes. What's up, Frankie? Frankie. In the, in one of the best bicycle neighborhoods that ever lived, River West. Yes.
15:49
But anyway, um- It's a neighborhood that loves- But yeah, I'm, I'm plugging my way up there. Uh, I got, like I said, I got a friend in St.
15:56
Louis and I got, uh, a, a couple of family members in Iowa, and if they don't keep me too long I'll be up in Merrill by, uh, the Fourth of July, and then I'll be heading on down to River West 24. Nice. Right on, dude.
16:10
Merrill, Wisconsin. You'll be in, you'll be in, uh, Merrill for my birthday, July the 4th. Is that... Were you born on the Fourth of July, Sven? Yeah, yeah, I was.
16:21
[laughs] The only kid in Cottage Hospital out there in, uh, Santa Barbara, California, born on that day in 1960, '70, eight- And the, and the nurse- '84... pulled- So goddamn patriotic I almost wanna roll five tears...
16:36
and the, and the nurse pulled- I wanna roll 52... and the nurse pulled on that vagina and said, "Ah, fuck, I'm missing fireworks with this." [laughs] Ba-da-bump-bump. That was good. [laughs] I'm just kidding with you.
16:50
Come on, man, you know you're the best motherfucker in the world. You s- Anyway, no, um- You speak the truth... uh, things are looking up right now. I'm about to ge- I'm about to get to Missouri.
17:01
Cigarettes are about to go down $2, beer's about to go down $1. I can't wait. All right.
17:08
Well, we're gonna let you slide because your, uh, connection's a little goofy tonight, but it's good to hear you, good to see you're moving forward and, and at least in a good place temporarily. So
17:20
catch up with us w- when you get down the road a little bit further. Absolutely. I'll, I'll probably give it, like, two weeks or something like that. I, I'll, I'll be, I'll be in contact. Love you guys.
17:30
River West is the best, of course. All right. Say hey to Frankie. Peace. Frankie. Hey, Frankie. [laughs] All right. Peace. Love y'all, man. Y'all have a good blessed night. Thanks, Frankie. All right, bye-bye.
17:49
As we fade out on Big Sexy from- Frankie... somewhere in, uh, Arkan- Ar Kansas. I think Frankie wants, uh, Big Sexy to, uh, join his church. Ahem, have a blessed day. A call. And why is it blessed or bless-ed?
18:06
'Cause that they, they will be used both of them and I'm- Eh... not sure if that's just a regional- Whatever, but it's better than fuck you, dude. Right. And true that. Well, that's pretty much my general...
18:16
[laughs] That's pretty much my general sentiment. Bite me. Have a great day. Bite me Well, bless your- Go, go suck an egg. Eh, my, I, I would use, "Bless your heart." Oh, bless your heart. Oh.
18:28
Until I found out that it was kinda like a, pretty much in the service industry, like going, saying, "Go fuck yourself," essentially. Interesting. Oh, no. And I did not really realize that.
18:39
My beer just opened I'm like, I'm like, wow. In front of me. I didn't... No. I mean, if I say it, I don't, I, I don't know. Yeah. I actually mean like, "Oh, hey, bless your heart, man."
18:47
I went to Hooligans on Monday for lunch, and I was just- Oh... sitting there by myself, 'cause I didn't, wasn't smart enough to call anybody else. What time did you go there? I went there for a beer.
18:54
I would say it was about 1:30 to 2:00. Yeah. Jesus. I was like noon-30. I was- Dink it. I got a moderate, uh, turkey s- sandwich.
19:03
But the people that were sitting next to me or a couple seats down were service industry people. And, and one of the guys was like, "Well, I used to say, 'How's it going, guys?'
19:12
or something like that, but it felt weird saying it to, like, 80-year-old people, so now..." I forget what he says now, but he's, it's the, you know, s- it's the same thing as saying- How's it hanging, old lady?...
19:21
"How are we, how are we doing today?" How is, how is you versus all of us? We're pissy. Are you... You know. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know. I'd just be, "Hi. What can I get you?" [laughs] Hey. Hey. What's up? All right. Oh.
19:33
I love smoked almonds. Speaking of, uh... Okay, uh, next Monday lunch, Camino. I have the... I can run, I can run after my- Yeah... I do not have my afternoon meeting, so yeah. I may be able to do that. I, I don't mean
19:48
to speak badly. Yes, but you're gonna. I guess that is always how you start off, by saying you're gonna say something. But- Well, you have the- When Colin was in town last time- Big mouths...
19:58
we did the Monday burger at Camino, and- I'll write Burpee von Burp his name over there. It was... You know, it, it's probably worth five bucks. Yeah.
20:08
I cannot believe people- No, it's the, the last one I had there- Exactly... like, a couple weeks ago was- Was good?... badass as hell. Oh, see, yeah, I, maybe... I, I've done it, like, three times. No matter what.
20:15
And every time I've been like- Camino, baby No matter what. What did you, what did you request? No matter what. Medium? Medium well? Medium rare. Medium rare. I would never get anything above medium rare.
20:23
Oh, see, I think I did medium, I think, and it came really charred. Well- So I guess maybe I'll try medium rare... you know, maybe they had a bad day, but it's a decent burger. Oh. Oh, no, no, no, no.
20:30
And that's what happened. It's worth five bucks. Well, no, 'cause if, uh, anyone that- It's not worth 12... don't send Sven any pickles or pickle vouchers- Right... because they fall on deaf ears.
20:42
Yeah, there's- It's not like... plenty a window with a pickle stuck to it just 'cause- Yeah... one arrived on my plate. [laughs] Yeah, so it was, like, going out of the way. Like, I don't want any pickle anywhere near...
20:50
[laughs] Fast-forward, three burgers show up, all of them speared with a pickle on it. [laughs] And JK's had, like, a complete- Yeah, I had eight... carpet bag version of pickles all over it.
21:03
[laughs] So they clearly did it on purpose. Instead of no pickle anywhere near the plate, it was- You got a ton of pickles... it was like, "Oh, he must have wanted extra pickles- [laughs] Yeah...
21:11
or he was a smart aleck." [laughs] One of the two. Either way works out funny for me, man. Yeah, Mike had a lot of- [laughs] I was like, "I don't give a shit, man"... JK, like that guy.
21:20
I, I- But still, I would, I, I put him on par with Oscars. Oh, not even close. At least the ones I've had there. Not even close.
21:28
I'll tell you, here's what you don't do at Camino, though, if you guys ever come to town, any of you people, uh, our radio listener.
21:33
It's tough to sit outside there, because it's deceptive and it can be really cold and you never notice it. Yeah, it can. And it always seems like it's cold back there.
21:41
[laughs] Yeah, it doesn't get sun for- Yeah, it's like in-... into late- It's an alley, in other words... yeah, it's in, it's pretty much an alley. I like it 'cause I can take the dog.
21:48
Yeah, and I guess maybe later in the summer, but boy, it can be d- it's like, oh, it's sunny. It's- The sun's beating down in there. Why isn't it- And they don't have any heaters... why isn't it warm? Right.
21:56
They don't have any heaters. It's, it's sun. It's heating. Well, they have heaters, just they don't aim them or it doesn't work.
22:00
Turn them on or- Well, they're like those propane- I always go to the ones in the back, and yeah, they aren't as, nearly as... But yeah, I still, I do- But whatever. I, I layer. I don't care...
22:07
I will admit though, I've had many a fine meal at that establishment. You just don't have to have a burger. I just don't have to have a bur- right, right, right.
22:14
Hey, did you guys know Willem Dafoe is receiving an honorary degree- Yes... from our very own University of Wisconsin? I, I- Former em- Milwaukee. Yeah, Milwaukee.
22:24
Former- Funny, I- Former employer of Pete Burner- I too am an alumnus... and, and, uh, JK also. Yeah. Uh, another... Where's your honorary degree? [laughs] I have a real degree. I get a pension from them.
22:34
You just get an honorary motherfucker. That's true, yeah. [laughs] Yeah, so yeah. Uh-huh. Well, which one's better? Do they both hold weight in the court of law or? Hell yes. I'll go toe-to-toe with the Willem.
22:43
[laughs] I mean, is an honorary degree, uh, is better than my BA in, uh- [laughs] Classical civilization... classical civilization? I think so. I think that. I think I have a little more skin in the game.
22:54
I, I think you do. I do. Yeah. So I could go toe-to-toe with Willem. Ah. I, Molly, Molly told me about that- Yeah... and I was kind of like, "Laugh." And he's from Appleton or something, isn't he? Yeah.
23:02
Um, is he from Appleton? Ain't he kind of- I thought he was actually from closer even. Wherever. Well, somewhere in that Fox Valley zone. Oshkosh, by gosh. No, he's not from Oshkosh. Something like- Maybe. Look it up.
23:12
I don't know. Well, ask Google. I- Well, I mean, we're just, this is for fun. I'm not- All I'm saying is he's, that he's receiving an honorary degree at the University of Wisconsin- Yeah... Milwaukee.
23:17
I'm gonna try to sneak in. It's a doctorate, though. It's not a BA. Okay. Oh, no, you go full out if you're- Doctor, Dr. Willem. They're looking for a payout. Dr. Dafoe. D- Whatever. Paging Dr. Dafoe. Dr. Dafoe, please.
23:31
I'm gonna try to figure out who from... No, we have people from our department that have to be represented at the, um, ceremony. Google never listens to us. Is, is that gonna be you? I, uh, I, I don't know.
23:44
You could be, like, trip- tripping down the aisle and- Let's put it this way. Um, hello. Where do... [laughs] How do I find out if, uh, I'm, you know, who are gonna be the representatives from, uh, said department?
23:58
Do they go through the office staff? Yes, they do. Oh. Well, there you go. Get, get me in there too. I know you. I'm, I'm gonna be an, I'm gonna be an honorary, uh, employee for a day. No doubt.
24:09
Take your son, take your son to work day. [laughs] Exactly. Well, no, I'm, I'm gonna see how stupid- This is my older, uglier son... no, I'm gonna see how stupid it is.
24:16
Everything is so stupid over there, so it's like eh. Go- Google never listens to me, but y- you're correct, it's Appleton. Oh, okay. I just started searching and it just- Right on... immediately came up Appleton.
24:24
Well, he kinda like disowned Wisconsin 'cause he wanted to get the fuck out of Dodge, and I get it. Well- It's the Fox Valley. It's, it's kind of- Yeah, that would make me want to get the fuck out of a state...
24:33
I, I, I think, I would think now that he's gonna have an honorary doctorate here, they're kinda trying to get him back into the fold. Well, I think it, yeah, he...
24:38
Oh, yeah, he's been, you know- Now, yeah, yeah All right. Maybe he'll, maybe he'll ride one of the- Image, imagery I think what they're looking for is a donation... maybe.
24:47
Maybe he'll ride one of the 400 electric Bublr bikes that are being- Yeah... s- s- scattered throughout the city Molly sent me a pattern right away Are they white? They're white.
24:56
Uh, I, I'd have to look again, but I believe so, yes Yeah, well, the pedal ones are- Had a big electric on the side of it... pedal ones are blue.
25:02
I'm curious, I think people are gonna abuse them, smash them into stuff, and ruin everything for everybody else- Which is disappointing... by being a bunch of jackasses.
25:08
The, the scooters worked so well I really don't have... [laughs] I really do not have- The wor- the, the scooters worked so well, let's just put these too They're class one, so they're like-
25:16
Oh, I'm gonna come up with-... 14 miles an hour... I'm gonna come up with a chip- [laughs]... that you can buy for your Bublr bike. I'm sure they have it.
25:22
Oh, yeah Just somehow you can do it on, on your own And then one specific too, I'm gonna see the crime procedural They're gonna be m- they're gonna be modded by every kid in the whole area But I'm, I'm guessing they're pedal assist only, no throttle of course.
25:31
Well, that would be- That'd make no sense... that would be smart. Um, until- And then restricted to the lowest Until they're cracked But that's cool. That's g- I mean- I'll try one I'll go do that I'll try one.
25:41
I, may- I won- I'm not gonna try one. [laughs] I'm gonna try one I'm kidding. I'm not gonna But I still haven't tried a fucking Bublr I have. They're fun. I, you, you take- I still haven't...
25:48
you take them down to Summerfest, you leave them there, and then you grab one coming back out of there I understand It's awesome I just never...
25:53
And yeah, I've always had the idea to- But I could just take my bike and lock it But I could just take my bike and lock it there.
25:58
[laughs] When you go with someone else who doesn't have a bike, then you say- It's their fault... "You can ride mine right here." Well- Who do you know that doesn't have a bike? Exactly.
26:05
Then you're hanging out with an unsavory cloud Yeah, you're hanging out with the wrong people What the hell? Are they runners? Are you hanging out with runners? Are you cheating on us, Greg? Greg. Sven? Sven. Runners?
26:14
Sven. Runners? No. No. No. No runners. [laughs] Power walkers? Kids, kids in carbon Mall walkers Kids in carbon.
26:21
Mall walkers At my age, mall walkers Kids in carbon, compression l- socks, and you know, yeah So, well, we'll, I'll get you a report on that thing, and just so we know what it's all about, but- I won't.
26:31
[laughs] Um, you're gonna wanna know about it though What if somebody asks you a question when you're working in the shop? So what do you, what do you, what do you think of those Bublrs? Smile, smile and nod.
26:39
Go ride one and find out. Well, that seems kinda snotty, but shouldn't you have personal experience? I say, I, I'll say, "I'm, I'm sorry, I don't have one- There should be a station over this way...
26:47
because I have an electric bike and I cheat" Why isn't there a, uh, Bublr station this way? We know we've been talking with them. Yeah. They just hate us Have we? No. No.
26:56
There's not enough activity in this area to warrant it- Yet... right where we are, I don't think Right, right, right. Yet. Yet. 'Cause this is the, uh, northern- I think-... part of the Hop Oh, yeah.
27:07
Well, when it gets up here, then we'll have something to talk about Which has one Hop running right now because of the, uh, bad mechanics Oh, I don't know Yeah, they're, that's what I just saw on the RiverNorth Fiat.
27:19
Only one of them is running Did they kill the Hop? They're already trying to k- they're already trying to kill the thing- Did, did they flip it?... 'cause people are grumpy about it Did they flip the Hop?
27:24
All right, the Hop is our, our single s- s- single train light rail system here in Milwaukee A very slow- But anyway... very slow choo choo I don't know.
27:33
On that note, I guess since the Hop is crashing, we'll crash and burn too. I hope everyone had a great Cinco de Mayo Yeah, they're creting- Well, here's something- No stopping the creting from hopping. Uh-uh...
27:45
somewhere between this show and our next show, possibly Chewy will drop a show. Sure. He's got like two hours, I'm like, "You can't do a two-hour show- No... so cut it up." He goes, "I don't know how."
27:56
[laughs] Uh- Just give it to me. Give me it. Give it, give it to me. I'll, I'll cut, I'll cut the shit out of that thing, man Yeah, man, I'm gonna make this into my space opera Star Wars Yeah.
28:05
No, he, so he should have a show up, and apparently- Star Wars, May the 4th will be with you all Yeah. It was days ago Listen to that thing. Days ago, everybody. All right, take it easy. Take it any way you can get it.
