- 0:29[SPEAKER_04]: How's it, Bill's fans, Lance Nelson, president of built in Buffalo, along side, Scott Kassen and Benjamin Schupe here finally getting our chance a little bit late as the draft has been passed for a little bit, but this is our time slot.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_04]: And we love to break it down in our own words, but first a word from our sponsor, you know what hits.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_04]: hardest, somewhere between week one and week four, a week in 180 stop feeling like maybe this works and started feeling real.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_04]: I'm down 21 pounds in just four weeks, and now it's not just the scale talking.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_04]: I could see it in my face.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_04]: I could feel it in my shirts, my jackets, my pants, my joints already feel happier.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_04]: I'm able to walk and play with my son a lot easier.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_04]: And that's the part that hits you, when losing weight stops being an idea and starts showing up in your everyday life.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_04]: And I've got to say, my coach Jen has been a huge part of that.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_04]: She's been amazing, encouraging the positives, helping me adjust things, offering alternatives, never judging me, just keeping me moving in the right direction.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_04]: I've even been surprised at by how fun the journey has been.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_04]: Awakened 180 is a complete program, coaching, structure, ease, weekly weight loss, then free support for life.

- 1:57[SPEAKER_04]: Alright, now that the bills are paid, let's talk about the bills, folks, sub-shoot.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_01]: Nothing much, nothing much.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, draft, I was a fun draft in trusting draft for some teams.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_01]: Bill's also, I think, might have been in that mix of kind of interesting drafts, compared to maybe what people thought they would go.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, excited to talk about it.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_01]: Still got some sabers tomorrow night.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully they can just close it out and not fortunately to sweat through a game seven.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, a lot of good sports going around and yeah, a lot of fun new players for us to dive into.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_04]: Scott Casson, how are we feeling?
- 2:39[SPEAKER_04]: One week out from the beginning of the round one draft night.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I feel good about it.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_03]: I like the class I always say someone knows something that we don't know and I'm going to go with the some ones when the picks that maybe don't make sense to us, but the much smarter guys than us in the room.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_03]: Made them.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, I like it.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_03]: I think we got some really good players on day three.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_03]: I think day three was an awesome day for Brandon Bean.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_03]: We're gonna get into it.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously we won't know for a few years.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, not only do we have play off.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_03]: You can tuck you Derby this weekend.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_03]: It's always one of my favorite weekends of the year.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_03]: We have the Oaks tomorrow.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_03]: The Derby on Saturday and all the play off.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_03]: So great week for sports.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_04]: You got a great hat for the Derby or what?
- 3:23[SPEAKER_04]: Or is that only the women that wear the hats?
- 3:26[SPEAKER_03]: anybody can wear hats, you know, we, I don't judge, but I do have a track hat that I wear sometimes, wasn't the soberest when I bought it, but I do, I do wear it from time to time.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_04]: I feel like we missed the opportunity for you to have it on for the show, but, uh, all right.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_03]: Anyways, a lot more horses left.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_04]: there we go.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_04]: Let's get into our quick thoughts here overall.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_04]: I, yeah, you know, I think you guys just kind of talked about your feelings on the draft and the day one trades kind of laid the foundation for those day four or that day three round four hits and things like that.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_04]: So I think that
- 4:07[SPEAKER_04]: It was, uh, although it was nerve wracking supposed to be coming on here for 15 minutes or so live in the first round to announce the pick and then we sit there for an hour while they trade three times is uh, it's all the time, but uh, yeah, I.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_04]: you know there was reports out there that the jet swooped in and stole away my guy Omar Cooper Jr. from the bills when they would have taken him at 31 which I think is a whole bunch of hot nonsense out there but that was the report report from Richmondy and
- 4:39[SPEAKER_04]: You know, good for them for thinking that.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_04]: Good for New York New Jersey folks.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_04]: That's why they're on the Jersey side of the island because I know a shape of form did they swoop in.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_04]: I think the bills if they wanted Omar Cooper Junior that bad to where the jets made some monumental move to get them.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_04]: They could have just done it at 28.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_04]: and they had already made one trade back and acquired some other draft capital with that move.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_04]: But ultimately, no pick in the first round for Buffalo once again and not surprise, I think we all thought that.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_04]: One surprise, and maybe not on the other side of things, but two moves made, then van Schumerin and then Germain Burton being the surprise, maybe being invited here to Ricky Minicam.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_04]: Guys got started off, either one of those topics and take us through your quick thoughts on that guy.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so I'll start with Ben Van Sumerin.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_03]: We talked about a couple of shows ago.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_03]: Didn't have a full back on the roster, but we felt like one would probably find its way here, and too, it seemed to have found their way here so far.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, he's kind of an interesting background.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_03]: Went to Michigan to start, then the rare Michigan to Michigan State transfer was a full back in college.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_03]: Came to the Eagles as a UFA, UGFA,
- 6:05[SPEAKER_03]: played a linebacker, switched to fullback in the second year, was on the Super Bowl winning team and then the first play of the season last year, the kickoff blew out as Petella Tender, and then that led to Jalen Carter spitting on Dak Prescott while they were guarding him off the field if you remember that.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_03]: So coming off the injury was good enough to stick around with the Eagles for three seasons so excited to see what he's got last year in the year before Joe Brady's offense fullback was a big part of it so imagine whoever makes the team as a fullback is going to get some reps. Yeah.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_01]: at the Reggie Gilliam replacement potentially.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously got a long ways to go till he's officially the replacement.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, you knew that they would somehow find fullback.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_01]: Like Scott said, it's an incredible part of this offense to have a fullback.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_01]: Even if it's most of it might be pushing crashing on from behind.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_01]: Um, yeah, you knew that was going to happen.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_01]: Germaine Burton's an interesting one, just because he, I mean, he's had so many off the field issues and so many issues, just being able to kind of be professional.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_01]: So I mean, it's kind of worth taking a shot because if he is a talented player, he has a lot of, you know,
- 7:21[SPEAKER_01]: on tap potential as well still still put a young so I don't mind taking a shot because it's one another one or it's hey if he's still showing up and not being able to be pressure on do what he needs to do it's not going to cost you anything and uh he's who can say hey you know we we police tried so uh yeah we'll see what happens with both but uh probably gonna be a long time
- 7:44[SPEAKER_01]: At least for Ben Somerin to be known if he's going to be on this team, Burton might be a little sooner depending on how he does the next few weeks and months when it comes to leading up to training to have to be professional.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, we don't have to wait.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_04]: We didn't have to wait very long to think about or to know about their plans at full back, at least after the draft anyway.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_04]: So I got that position solidified, bringing in two guys to compete for one spot there.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_04]: And, you know, good story for Van Sumeran, Scott laid out his transitions and his track to now.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_04]: And I think his,
- 8:25[SPEAKER_04]: experience on special teams is going to be something this team covet's and you know again the ability to push shasha on on the snow plow is going to be uh another thing so both get points by you gentlemen and Germain Burton uh not the biggest fan but agree that the talent is there
- 8:46[SPEAKER_04]: or could be there.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_04]: And if the bills somehow were the team to unlock it and he was able to get a shit together, that would be
- 8:57[SPEAKER_04]: exactly what the doctor ordered for someone like the bills because I think they, you know, would welcome his skill set burning down the field and things in Buffalo.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_04]: So we'll see, hopefully, Buffalo may be getting the rap of not having a whole lot going on, like some of the major cities can sort of settle him down to focus on football and his profession.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_03]: since Cincinnati booming metropolis of wonder so yeah you know coming from coming from a spot where there's tons to do.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_03]: Skyline chili and cry.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_04]: fair fair.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_04]: I was in Cincinnati before and I thought, you know, sorry.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_04]: It was a nice town.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_04]: It was a part of it.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_00]: It was the tomorrow.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_04]: So I know.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_04]: It was the, it was, honestly, the worst football experience in my life because our guide died on the field nearly.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_04]: So yeah.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_04]: All right.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, shout out to the big tree in here.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_04]: If guys have it, please like and share this episode.

- 10:53[SPEAKER_04]: and someone's looks barbershop on Broadway and Dupue.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_04]: Go ahead and go over the cut app and book your cut.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_04]: Today you can scan the QR code on your screen if you'd like.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_04]: All right, hopefully I left the QR code up long enough, but you can rewind and get that.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_04]: There's going to be a link dropping if you want to learn more about the Awakened 180 Opportunities.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_04]: That'll be in the chat here.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_04]: Go ahead and copy that link and sign up for your consultation today.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_04]: All right, let's go through the draft picks and kind of break down each pick here, guys.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_04]: I'm gonna throw up.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_04]: You know, courtesy of the Relative Athletic Score, X-Page, we're going to throw up some graphics of the rise of these guys, because it was pretty telling the Bill's approach outside of a guy or two here or there that necessarily wasn't the most athletic or didn't maybe test the best, but most of them did and these picks.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_04]: So we're talking about in my opinion.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_04]: And the first one was the first pick of the draft for the bills at 35 overall TJ Parker defensive end, or going to be an edge outside linebacker for the bills.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_04]: TJ Parker, out of Clemson, 63 and a half, 263 as you can see on your screen, pretty good size overall, 40R dash,
- 12:24[SPEAKER_04]: not anything overly explosive there, but still a good rating.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_04]: And I look, this guy sets the edge really well.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_04]: It's one thing you notice about him setting a couple of records at Clemson in 2023, 12 and half tackles for loss.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_04]: And then he had six force fumbles in 24, which set a single season record there for Clemson.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_04]: So a couple of the records setting seasons for him, 2025, maybe not the season he wanted going into his,
- 12:53[SPEAKER_04]: the draft eligibility, but overall, very good athlete is going to come in and really help, but you know, these guys, the bills have really had the one free agent that they brought in an ed Russia this year, Bradley Chub, and, you know, the availability of those guys is always a little bit gives me an uneasy feeling, at least they're veteran guys that, you know, you hope
- 13:20[SPEAKER_04]: of Bradley Chub, maybe isn't as great as it once was, and I think TJ Parker's a great draft pick to sort of come in behind him, learn, and be a great force with Greg and her soul moving forward.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_04]: So Scott, what are your thoughts on TJ Parker and any other tidbits you want to give to us on what you thought about the pick overall, getting a defensive end edge at a premium draft slot.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I like the pick.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_03]: He wasn't a guy that a lot of people threw out as a possibility to be an awesome ski fit for Jim Leonard's defense.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_03]: He's going to slide right in.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's going to play a lot of DN.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_03]: So not necessarily out where Chauvin's is like the stand-up outside linebacker.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's going to play more as a DN kind of like that five technique spot.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_03]: That was a lot of the times where he lined up at Clemson.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_03]: And he's a guy being really likes to do this.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_03]: It'll find guys who maybe didn't have the best last year in college, so their draft stock falls a little bit and then he takes them.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_03]: So go on base more off of their past film, maybe they're most recent film because he had a not great season last year, but
- 14:28[SPEAKER_03]: to be there and nobody at Clemson had a good season last year.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_03]: They were a major disappointment.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_03]: So the hold of the team lack of success against him, but being did it with it all.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_03]: He didn't have an awesome last year if he used to any drop.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_03]: So it didn't even play his last year at college because of the COVID.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_03]: He dropped.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_03]: Deon walked the same fit going off of past film, more than more recent film.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_03]: So as it got a, could have to be a top 10 guy.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_03]: A lot of guys had him mocked that way before kind of a down year.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_03]: He's a really big effort guy.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_03]: He works hard.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_03]: He plays heavy hands and he sets the edge like you said when he has to really blow stuff off against the run So I think he fits in perfectly and I'm really excited to see him on this deal on any can line up in a few spots
- 15:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, I was a bit shocked by the pick I will say just because like Scott said it wasn't somebody that you that was talked about for the bills really at all.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_01]: I know some people did like like it beforehand, but still it wasn't, you know, the flashy pick, the the popular pick.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but to pay back off what Scott said with, you know, his 20-24 season,
- 15:34[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, exactly like Dan Walker in the sense of they weren't just, yeah, they weren't just looked at his, oh, you know, they were going to be top prospects, you know, first round guys.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_01]: They were talked about to be top 10.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, even Teasley Parker, a lot of guys had him in those way to early mock drafts as high as number two I saw.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_01]: So like he was talked about to be way up there.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, I mean, it, I don't know if there was anybody from Clemson, even have a good season.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_03]: A ton.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, well, they were in some mocks at three.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah, there was a two.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_03]: Peter Woods and Cade Clubman.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_03]: Peter Woods when I think 28.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_03]: And he was another maybe top 10 guy and then Kloobnik went and like a fourth round and a torel, the corner, they were some mocks and had four clubs and guys went top 15 and they finished like eight and four or seven and five.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_03]: One other thing I forgot to mention I saw if you were going to get to it, but a little more worries that he had five sexes last year, three of them in one game, so that's something to to me worry about, but yeah, Clemson as a whole was just bad last year.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_01]: And the only part with him that I like with TJ Parker is some people, you know, we'll say, like, oh, being a track record, you got a guy like rude or anything.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_01]: TJ Parker was different in that sense, especially in the past, Russ, where a lot of his sex, TJ Parker's sex, they're not coverage sex from college.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_01]: They are him getting after it and making a play.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_01]: where that kind of was what group coming out of college, he was that you knew he was a great run defender, but coming out of college, it was can he developed that past rush and a lot of his sex and college work coverage, she ends up tracking them down.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_02]: So TJ Parker is being tackle.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, TJ Parker to me though is like it is.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't really love it at first.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_01]: Now I'm starting to talk myself into loving it.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_01]: I'd like the pick I'll say right now.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm excited to see how he does.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_01]: I'm really just more excited though to see kind of how they're going to use him.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_01]: So that's the biggest part for me.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_01]: I like the pick.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if how they utilize him will affect that in a good way or a bad way.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, or might not even affect it all.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_01]: I might just stay.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_01]: I like it.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_01]: But, you know, it's going to be training camp that's going to be one of the first things I'm working to see is what, and you've been talking about it in our chat here in the land.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_01]: So, or of, well, is the outside linebacker?
- 17:54[SPEAKER_01]: Is the edge?
- 17:56[SPEAKER_01]: are they going to utilize him more as just an edge or are they going to utilize him in multiple ways?
- 18:02[SPEAKER_01]: I'm guessing a lot of these guys will be using all two ways, but he's one that I'm really curious to see about how they utilize him.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm excited about it.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_01]: And especially that you can't be able to move back and still get him.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_04]: I think the Bills M.O.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_04]: even though maybe there's a new head coach and stuff is just really, you know, finding guys that can do multiple things and really using them, you know, they want to find their strength, of course.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_04]: But if you can't do more, if you're a one-short pony, you're not really going to find a spot on this team typically over the past, you know, nine years at least for sure.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_04]: And then the other thing I wanted to mention,
- 18:42[SPEAKER_04]: The only, you'll mention the surprising aspect of the pick and where it was, you know, my first thing was, yeah, I really wanted Omar Cooper Jr., I thought they could have had them.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_04]: They lost out to them in the jets, I would have where they were, Intel was, they were going to pick them at 31, which is like, to me, like, bro, if you're going to pick them at 31, just pick them at 28, please, for love of God.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_04]: Although I get the explanation of it being a premium position and getting it there, I also was a little bit disappointed in the sense of like, okay, but now that's our, that is our pick for the real meat where we could get a real
- 19:22[SPEAKER_04]: playmaker and I'm not saying he's not going to be.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_04]: I just thought like, all right, here's our chance to then go get one of those linebackers that we all that we liked, right?
- 19:31[SPEAKER_04]: Jacob Rodriguez was right there.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_04]: Jeremiah Trotter, Josiah Trotter was right there.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_04]: So like those guys we missed out on now because we took the premium position in TJ Parker and
- 19:42[SPEAKER_04]: It might be just fine.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_04]: I like that, you know, we did add, and we'll get to Elarms or a little bit later on.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_04]: So it's like we did add to that position, but we didn't get the top guy at the position where it's like, really, I thought like that position was the biggest need, and we heard Brandon being disagree with that, and his presser and say, maybe it was corner back, but I just thought like, oh man, the meat of,
- 20:06[SPEAKER_04]: where I thought the sweet spot was for us to pick one of those linebackers or some or another position was sort of sacrificed for getting TJ Parker and maybe that's going to be a great decision down the road.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_04]: We'll find out.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_04]: But that was the only thing that I was thinking through as far as like a little bit of maybe disappointment at first.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_01]: I was looking at that more or not necessarily linebacker because I didn't think linebacker was in play really until third fourth round.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_01]: I just didn't think they thought of it that way and I didn't really think the class was anything crazy to take somebody like that unless they really fell.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_01]: I was more looking at it though because and you got to know for the past few weeks I've been all over just nose tackle and Kate McDonald was right there.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_01]: He was the next selection.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_01]: So that was it for me was that was my first kind of takeaway was wow they're going to go edge still before nose tackle and obviously they didn't have anything zane to rant we don't know how they're going to utilize them
- 21:07[SPEAKER_01]: nose tackle, honestly, but who knows?
- 21:10[SPEAKER_01]: So they didn't really take a pure nose tackle, which is the one part that that's really what I was thinking about it in that way of They're going to head again.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't really love the idea of edge That and I didn't like a guy like cash is how that a lot of people wanted because he was literally just a pass rush Hey, can he get past rush?
- 21:28[SPEAKER_01]: So I do I will say the edge style they took into a park where I do like
- 21:34[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but yeah, I wasn't really looking for edge there, either.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_01]: I thought there was other positions that they would go instead.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_03]: Well, a school of thought that it seems like a lot of teams are going to now and like taking off-ball linebackers specifically with premium picks.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_03]: Is it something a lot of teams want to do?
- 21:52[SPEAKER_03]: Because a lot of times you only get those guys for those four years.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_03]: And then they price themselves out because
- 21:58[SPEAKER_03]: If you're on a good team, you generally don't have a lot of cash space to go throwing on an off-ball line back there.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_03]: So it's kind of, you're not necessarily drafting a guy who's going to be around for the long term.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_03]: I heard some people talking about that as a reason about like kind of a lot of linebackers before and you know, if they're even going to have a, you know, prototypical nose tackle in this scheme, a lot of stuff was going around online this week about the details of the Broncos last
- 22:26[SPEAKER_03]: You know, fat guy in the middle eat blocks, they had three guys who were about the same size about the same size as our three guys that can line up in any of those three spots and get off blocks quickly and then, you know, kind of like a lineback and he's cleaned it up.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_04]: So the interesting thing is that it's actually got to have six guys doing.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, like right, it's very possible that they don't want a nose tackle who's just going to eat space like they want actually to we're going to get a box like guys later.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_01]: get aggressive.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_01]: That's what they've been saying all all off season with the defenses.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_01]: They want to get certain set the tone.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I mean, that that does add up to, you know, not just wanting a guy to just eat space.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_01]: They want everybody to be going after him.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_01]: Dave, we do see your question DM3 on on-time listener first time caller.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_01]: We do see your question that is going to be talked about a little bit later in the show, so we do not worry.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_01]: Just any of your questions we do see, we'll either try to answer them in the chat directly, or we'll try to get them up here.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_01]: So if you guys do have questions, let us know.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_01]: Around another, like we can get some comments from X.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_04]: Sometimes they show up, sometimes they don't, but if you don't want to risk it, come on over to YouTube, subscribe to that YouTube channel, hit the bell and get notified when we go alive.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_04]: I think that there's more good picks than just Bell there, but, uh, Bell can be the one.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_01]: We could look back on the previous NFL was the worst pick of this whole draft.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_01]: That's the correct.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_01]: Like, that's the part we don't know.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_01]: We have no idea.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_01]: The second pick though, let's go right into that.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_03]: We could all die tomorrow.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_01]: We could, we could not even see him play.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we might not even see him play.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_01]: And guess what, then they're all equal.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_04]: We scored.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_04]: Let us see them play.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, second player Davison.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not even gonna try to pronounce it.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know that, but I'm just gonna call him IGB.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_01]: I hate Benosen.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, there we go.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_01]: From the Ohio State University, interesting player, this one shocked everybody.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_01]: All right, I mean, it's a guy that a position that nobody thought.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_01]: would be picked this early.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_01]: I know you guys know as well as anybody that's watched the show for the past few weeks.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_01]: I'm still shocked it was this early, but I was screaming for weeks to get cornerback that especially boundary corners.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what they did.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_01]: Was it a reach?
- 24:42[SPEAKER_01]: According to Max, maybe, but again, it's the NFL graphic example of some of the ways you guys go low.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_01]: But an interesting player because he's another guy that I think a lot of people when they first kind of heard about him initially the stats of what he was coming out about and the info about him coming out was hey he is a physical corner who
- 25:08[SPEAKER_01]: that type of player, and I think a lot of people want, oh, Kyur-Eloom is his case.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_01]: Is it another Kyur-Eloom?
- 25:14[SPEAKER_01]: There is differences though.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_01]: The one with IGB that I first want to point out is that the penalties from 2024 to 2025 dropped dramatically.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_01]: So one thing you do know he's working on, and you see the results.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_01]: So that's one good thing.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_01]: But he's a 6, 2, 1, 90 corner.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_01]: So it ran a 4, 4, or 5.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_01]: So another speed, kind of speedy corner there.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_01]: I'm kind of in between.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_01]: I'm always you guys give your opinions first.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_01]: Lance will start with you.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think about IGB coming in?
- 25:48[SPEAKER_04]: you know, I like that he played with the best of the best.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_04]: Obviously in practice every day, those Ohio State receivers are really talented.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_04]: So that does help a little bit as well.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_04]: And then obviously they competition that he faced all if his college career is really solid.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_04]: So, you know,
- 26:10[SPEAKER_04]: Besides the holding, he is a solid mirror of the receivers, so I think that he can
- 26:19[SPEAKER_04]: have to come in and play 100% effectively right away and I think he has enough traits to be developed into something that we want to see in Buffalo and help sort of have a three-headed monster now at corner between him and Benford and Max Harrison.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_04]: So I think you have a guy with really high
- 26:43[SPEAKER_04]: the knack of playing in big games as well.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_04]: So, you know, he's played high-level competition ball for the last few years, and I think that that helps him.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_04]: I'd only can help him and get him in here and, you know, fix the things that need to be fixed to get him fully polished, and I think they have the ability to bring him, as you said, it's kind of bringing in the corner back depth, so he doesn't
- 27:08[SPEAKER_04]: shoved into action right away, you can be set up for success where he can be thrown into situations where it lends itself for him to be successful and that's the best part about this pick.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I don't hate it.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_03]: He actually sneak peek is one of the guys I think is going to have the biggest impact in his rookie season.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_03]: Because I saw on Twitter that Brown tweeted that the number three corner for the bills and the last few seasons has played at least 300 snacks in every season.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_03]: So this guy's going to get out of the field assuming he's the number three corner.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_03]: You mentioned the penalties in Kyuriyulama, a story I saw was that they did the same thing.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_03]: The bills didn't Kyuriyulama, that had a practice with boxing gloves on, you know, Ohio State.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_01]: I've been mad at Ohio State.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I saw a similar, similar, very similar.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_03]: Same thing with Manliter.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't make that.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so he couldn't grab because he's most definitely a grab or he's a oppressed man, bumping run guy, he's big, he's physical like he's going to get up at the line of scrubber, try to get his hands on yet and then just kind of ride you through the routes.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_03]: He's played in a lot of big games as he mentioned last another thing and something that being mentioned with our corners getting hurt Guy never missed a game of college every year.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_03]: He was at school.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_03]: He played every game And that's a really big thing to have that that health be called 53 games 53 games.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's a lot of people
- 28:34[SPEAKER_03]: That's a huge thing, because every year, Ben's further going to deal with something, Matt couldn't make it through a full season of the star season, so having a guy that doesn't have a track record of injury is really good.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_03]: Some people actually had him as a first rounder in last year's, like, last year coming into this year's draft is because he played well.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_03]: He's a big time recruit out of New Jersey and
- 28:54[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think he's a guy again, like did they did I have corner on my bingo card and for you know, trading off into the sector and to get probably not, but, you know, when you think about it,
- 29:06[SPEAKER_03]: Glasses and then play off, Dan Jackson and Darnell Savage play one snap each of these give up touchdowns, but you're before that.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_03]: The number three corner has to come and tie a real him.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_03]: He couldn't cover Lance even with all the ladies lost.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_03]: So I, it's, they, they needed a, a reliable number three corner and I don't think they wanted to risk, you know, waiting to later and having a guy not be there.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_01]: I do want to bring up a John says as well, and this is a good point is you have to do the eight the ovenets, but that is another thing that was drilled by the coach talked about he talked about it about several times with IGB.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_01]: saying that a big part in 2025 was yeah, he's turning his head to the quarterback when he knows balls in the air or he's turning his head just even in general learn play, which is helping him read the play and make decisions and stay off the receiver uh a little bit.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_01]: So um yeah, I'm still back and forth on it this early and that that's coming again from somebody who was screaming to get corner in this track.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_04]: Well, look, I mean, when I talk about, oh, did they need to trade up for him?
- 30:07[SPEAKER_04]: I see some comments there about that.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_04]: Look, we don't know if he would have been there, but it didn't cost that much to really go up and get him.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_04]: And being said in his presser that he felt that there was a run on corners happening, and he thought that,
- 30:20[SPEAKER_04]: if they wanted to get their guy, they needed to make the move that they made to get there and and solidify their pick.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_04]: So I mean, that's just like, yeah, maybe they didn't, but they really lose what they didn't really lose out on anything.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_04]: They had plenty of draft capital.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_04]: And they were in really good spots throughout the whole draft.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_04]: So I don't see that they lost anything.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_04]: I do.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_04]: I'm just going to be by moving up.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_01]: I just want to add to that.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_01]: Lance is like,
- 30:45[SPEAKER_01]: And then I'm not saying anybody in the comments does this or is doing it.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_01]: If you were upset about them trading back just for fourths and fifths, you shouldn't be upset that they moved up a little bit and gave up a fourth or fifth.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_01]: That's, again, not saying anybody did.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_01]: I don't see anybody saying that they did or anything.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_01]: I just am saying, actually, I saw a lot of people kind of do both of their upset that they traded back
- 31:07[SPEAKER_01]: and didn't get a guy at 2831 and for for not much quote unquote and then, you know, being upset about trading up for a corner.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_01]: Is it ideal to trade up for a corner in this spot in my opinion?
- 31:20[SPEAKER_01]: No, but again, we we don't know what the conversations were like being and I'm going to take a wild guess here.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_01]: And you guys can both agree with disagree, agree.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to guess agree.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_01]: That I'm guessing being in Jim one or had a lot of conversation.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_01]: before taking this selection and making this selection.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm guessing Jim Leonard was on board and said, yeah, I want to go get this guy for my defense.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_01]: So, and yeah, still ended up with 10 picks.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_01]: So, yeah.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, added corner and that's two and round two that they added.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and would have been just as good of a pick in round three, they didn't want to risk losing out.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_04]: So, out of the third pick there, Scott.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, let's move it around on my favorite position group, the offensive line.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_03]: Bill's took an offensive tackle on a Boston College Jude Bowery.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_03]: Guys really athletic, as you can see there with his rat score.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_03]: He started 21 games, started his career at BC at left tackle, two at right tackle.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_03]: Could potentially be the Ryan Van der Mark replacement?
- 32:27[SPEAKER_03]: That swing tackle who can play either side.
- 32:30[SPEAKER_03]: That's, you know, I don't know, Van der Mark left for the Viking, so they need somebody there.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_03]: It could be grable, but I don't know if he can play the right side, so might as well go and get somebody, and also some talk that maybe he can move into guard.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_03]: People think seem to think he has that ability in that frame as well.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_03]: So you got a guy who could potentially play three different positions for you, maybe four different positions, even.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_03]: At any time, as we talked about a little while ago, versatility, it's a big thing.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_03]: I got a really good last year at BC on a pretty bad team, so that's, you know, always good looking to have somebody who hasn't good year, didn't give up any sacks, but whenever people talk about not giving up any sacks and college, you always have to ask, well, how many of those sacks is worth quick screams or bubble screens or RPOs, where probably not going to give up any sacks.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, the more of the negative side, he doesn't always move his feet,
- 33:20[SPEAKER_03]: uh... sometimes he tries to rely on a striking athleticism allows walkers to move off doesn't have the strongest punch in past protection probably get away with that against some acc teams but in the NFL you're gonna have to you know get your hands on people in the past game but overall i don't i don't hate this pic at all uh... i think people wanted something a little bit more exciting then
- 33:43[SPEAKER_03]: Big ugly on our first pick of the fourth round after no waiting all night for it.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_03]: Some other names that were mentioned who we ended up getting anyway.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_03]: I think some people wanted, but Lance, what do you think about Jude Bowery and his fitting in on the team?
- 33:58[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, obviously, love the agility of the offensive line, and you love big guys that can sort of move with fluidity.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_04]: So that's always a great thing.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_04]: The things that he lacks with,
- 34:13[SPEAKER_04]: hand usage, script strength, things like that, you can sort of teach your at this level and improve, I think.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_04]: So I don't, I love when people like, oh, he can't do this well, why would you take that?
- 34:27[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, because you can teach that and we have really good people to teach that and in the fourth route, day three of the draft every single person you're taking is going to not do things well, because if they didn't
- 34:40[SPEAKER_04]: exactly.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_04]: So I do want to bring up though.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_04]: Let's see.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_04]: 24 reps at the bench.
- 34:47[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know how many can you do, bro?
- 34:50[SPEAKER_03]: I did 19 a couple weeks ago.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, good 20 a couple weeks.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_01]: We don't know big names.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_03]: He's got more pounds on me.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_03]: He's bigger than me.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_04]: It's fair.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_04]: It's by scale.
- 34:59[SPEAKER_04]: Scott's pound for pound.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_04]: Scott's still stronger.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_04]: So just wanted to make a joke of that.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_04]: And I think it's pretty funny.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_04]: But no, I honestly love the pick.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_04]: Again, I was sort of like sitting back laughing at people losing their mind without really knowing the plan during this draft, because it's like, unless you've like seen the draft board,
- 35:23[SPEAKER_04]: been told by Brandon Bean and staff, what their plan is.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_04]: Like, you're getting mad because they're executing their plan and it's different from yours.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_04]: And while you may think that that is going to lead to an unsuccessful future for the team, I just don't buy it because like,
- 35:42[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_04]: He's a guy they identify that can come in and fill a role on this team.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_04]: He obviously has some some great upside as Scott mentioned some of the things he does well and I talked about the agility and fluidity could play with like there is good upside to that and with some development he could play a role on a cheap contract for a few years at minimum.
- 36:04[SPEAKER_04]: And you know, help this team be successful.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_04]: So I don't, you know, I understand that some people's plans were different than Brandon Beans plan.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_04]: But I was just excited to see it play out.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_04]: And this was one of those picks that, you know, where I do love the big ugly as you say Scott.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_04]: So I kind of was a big fan of seeing that and just sort of laughing at,
- 36:27[SPEAKER_04]: at another surprise position, surprise pick at the beginning of the fourth round where everyone thought it for sure was the next guy.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he was another guy.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_01]: People thought it could go on day two, did end up going in day three.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_01]: He's not like the first two picks that they had this drafts.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_01]: The first two picks I did feel like were high floor not slow ceilings, but low not, you know, unbelievable star superstar ceilings.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_01]: where Jude Barry kind of is the opposite.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_01]: He is that high ceiling low floor kind of guy, like he could have a low floor.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_01]: He could be, end up not being that great at all.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_01]: But he could end up being a starter for this team for the next few years, and he may be even more.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, he has the athleticism to be able to move around.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_01]: He can be the swing tag or if you need him to.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, we're probably going to try my guard.
- 37:20[SPEAKER_01]: I do think that he can and will compete with Alka Anderson for the starting job.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_01]: Um, so yeah, and the end all comes isn't getting any younger either.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_01]: So it is another thing where like hey people were talking about it this off season a lot of people you might have been one of them.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_01]: I might have been one of them.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_01]: uh... that that we're talking about the undockens being traded or moved or getting off his contract and while i didn't necessarily agree with it it's still something yet they could do that by the if they if he has a really bad year this year they could say hey we're gonna end up moving on going somewhere else and and you know they obviously love beyond we all do but at the end of the day we do know it's a business we've seen it before
- 37:59[SPEAKER_01]: Um, so yeah, Jude Brown, where he could be a guy that in some years, whether it's two years, a year, three years, it could be this year, I think he will be a guy that could, uh, could end up being a stop futures future starter, um, potentially like that current starter as well.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_01]: So, um, the athleticism is what I really love about this pick, uh, but I do overall wouldn't say I love the pick.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_01]: I'm still kind of kind of like IGV where it's okay.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_01]: Interesting.
- 38:31[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he has got anything else where we move on.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_03]: Nope.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_03]: I don't move to the next guy.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_03]: A guy that a lot of people wanted at the pick that was Jude Bowery, but guess what?
- 38:43[SPEAKER_03]: We got him about 20 picks later.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_03]: So would he better reach when people wanted to take him?
- 38:48[SPEAKER_03]: But that's Skyler Bell.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_03]: All American-wide receiver out of the Yukon, and you may think Yukon's a basketball school, but they were actually pretty good at football.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_03]: The quarterback just got signed by the Ravens.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_03]: Like, you can't actually was not a bad football team.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_03]: I sure they were fun to watch.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_03]: The Skyler Bell was a big reason for it.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_03]: He was second in the FBS with 1278 yards.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_03]: And they had 13 receiving touchdowns, which was a school record.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_03]: So 1,300 yards, 13 touchdowns.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_03]: That's a good season no matter what player, what level you're playing at.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_03]: Started out at Wisconsin, first three years were there.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_03]: And he had some big time drop issues.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_03]: like to the fact that they couldn't put them on the field because he was dropping them all.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_03]: He was like double digit drops a year time guy.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_03]: I don't remember one game he dropped what would have been a huge touchdown late in the game right now.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_03]: And so that was when I first heard of Skyler Bell, but then when you come really clean that up, Wisconsin also gave them a lot of carrots.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_03]: He had 13 carries in his second year there.
- 39:49[SPEAKER_03]: I think 160 yards.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_03]: So really creative with how you can get him the ball.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_03]: He's fast, but he I wouldn't say.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_03]: He's necessarily shifty like he's not like a collusion here and making miss in a phone but kind of guy He's just kind of like gonna run across and then run away from you fast rather than that's all Making it miss though through him a lot of screens at Yukon, so you know Joe Brady probably had some some weird feelings only drafted this guy because he can just continue to throw all his screens out to him
- 40:19[SPEAKER_03]: He's some sometimes kind of a body catcher which again probably didn't trust his hands at parts of his career because of the drops but seems like he's worked on that and that wasn't as big of a problem last two years but then I was excited about Skylar Bell.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_03]: I know you were too what do you think?
- 40:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah I mean as you've seen and heard a lot of people think this could be the steal of the draft.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I'm blanking on who said it.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_01]: So I do apologize if they ever see this.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_01]: Um, you right now me right now.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, somebody had him compared or or kind of user comparison of Jamar S. Jamar Chase asks or Jamar Chase Chase like or they could see him turning into that he did say I heard him on WGR to this morning saying now he doesn't necessarily think that he will be Jamar Chase that's lofty expectations.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_01]: but he thinks he could be that type of receiver and a real stud for the for this team.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of people also said that, you know, this is a lot of with receivers, especially you see, okay, even if you're excited about it, prospect it depends on where they go.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_01]: And I think for a lot of people that analyze draft watch film watch receivers saw Skylar Bell as a player where hey, if you get smashed up with somebody that's a great quarterback great offensive system, he could be a star in this league and now that people see he came to Buffalo, I think they're they're kind of getting on board with that they had man this guy, you know, I pick one 20 what five.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_01]: could end up being the biggest biggest player in the draft here.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I like it can do a little bit of everything.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_01]: I've heard mixed.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_01]: like messages on his run after touch.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_01]: I heard that he's been good at it, but then I've also seen some numbers that show he's not exactly the greatest at it, but he is able to like take a slant a yards I would say like he couldn't if he gets the bunch of runs at crossing route, but he run away from everybody.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_03]: But I wouldn't say he's like a yax specialist because he's not the ship.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_01]: He's not a clear
- 42:21[SPEAKER_01]: type make guys miss and get they can't get a hand on them.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I mean he's athletic Guy that really just gets can you can do a little bit of everything.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm loving it I think you'll see I'm inside and outside and again alluded to a landslide earlier on both sides of all this is what they want guys that can do everything
- 42:39[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and it's going to open things up for secure and I know everybody was looking for a receiver.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_01]: I really like this receiver.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_01]: I really do.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, they still could add a guy is like the sixth seventh to add, you know, all length.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I see.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_01]: I saw it.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_01]: I said it last week too.
- 42:56[SPEAKER_01]: I did have two weeks in a row on X and, um, but yeah, I hope that they utilized him early and, uh, and often.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, pretty, uh, from buttoned my bed pretty elite at a lot of different test measures.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_04]: So, um, obviously the height and weight, um, the weight can be worked on through, uh, the bills program.
- 43:22[SPEAKER_04]: And I think it will be just fine.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_04]: But, um,
- 43:25[SPEAKER_04]: The biggest thing I read in his profile is complimentary, and so the bills get DJ more this year who can, you know, lead an offense at it receiver, and you have Cleo Shakir who is very capable in an offense as well.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_04]: And now you have Josh Palmer and Skylar Bell as complimentary players to those folks while you have cook in concave as well.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_04]: I just think the complimentary piece of this draft pick is so important for the offense.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_04]: Like you said, this room is really shaped well now and just like
- 44:08[SPEAKER_04]: Shakir can go inside and outside as well.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_04]: This may help Shakir spend a little more time outside, potentially if they choose to go that route.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_04]: But also if they want to pigeonhole Shakir inside for whatever reason, they can also have Bell on the outside as another option.
- 44:28[SPEAKER_04]: Saw some guys go down with injuries last year, the past couple of years.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_04]: So just getting more depth there and having the ability
- 44:37[SPEAKER_04]: folks who are dangerous on the field, like you mentioned, you know, you now have, you know, Coleman has had the propensity to take a slant for a touchdown as well.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_04]: And not necessarily his game overall, but has the ability and now Skylar Bell as well.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_04]: So those sort of explosive pieces all the way around, like I said, usher with King Kade and Cook just gives a full compliment to the overall weapons on the offense.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_04]: All right, just moving on here.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_04]: Caleb Elerm, Elerm's or Lineback or on a TCU.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_04]: Love this pick.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_04]: I think it was, everyone, not everyone.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_04]: There was a lot of folks out there thinking Bell and Elerm's or were sort of the two being picked at this turn where they had 125, 126.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_04]: And sure enough, they do six foot two, two, 34.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_04]: They talked about not being
- 45:33[SPEAKER_04]: Totally that thumper kind of guy, but look, just like they mentioned in the presser where
- 45:41[SPEAKER_04]: between Carter and G.J.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_04]: Sanders and all these guys have sort of been in the programs and putting on some different bulk or land and jacks and sars, land and jacks and which between Carter sort of balking up a little bit for their roles in the defense and they're going to get E-Larms or in their facility here, be able to get them in their program, add a little bit to him and he's going to be a pretty good factor on the defense, I think, come in and really help.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_04]: you know, guys getting downhill in this defense and help compliment what they already have, you know, has true, true, three down ability, obviously.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_04]: And just one of those guys I feel like is going to be one of the bigger impact guys from the straff class.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_01]: Lance, do you want to, I know Scott said that Scott had been with his favorite.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_01]: Is this, did you, I don't know if you should say that is that is this your favorite of the drafts pick?
- 46:39[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, definitely.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_04]: He's, he's my favorite pick of the draft.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_04]: I think that once we lost out on the top end guys, he was my target all along and it was right around this pick 126 that I thought they'd get them.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_04]: So definitely one of those guys.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_04]: I thought, they needed to take based upon the way the draft was falling and they do get them.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_04]: perfectly where they wanted him, it seems, and sort of plan coming to fruition perfectly for this staff is this day three sort of started to really take shape.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_03]: One interesting tidbit I had, because a lot of people were talking about wanting the bills to take a linebacker earlier than when they did the Skipperaga, the bills chat pod,
- 47:20[SPEAKER_03]: on Twitter or XC everything after there wasn't a single linebacker taken after the bills took IGB before the fourth round and only two linebackers went between IGB and EWM's org.
- 47:31[SPEAKER_03]: So for people calling for the bills to take a linebacker on day two there's like you're just making there was no one to take.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_03]: There weren't people that were valued there.
- 47:38[SPEAKER_04]: So I think they got a linebacker or Rodriguez and that was between TJ and IGB.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_03]: And that was way early.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so like it wasn't really like like they took a linebacker at the proper spot.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, I mean, this is the guy who, you know, you said that IGBs can, you think he'll be the biggest impact in your one.
- 47:58[SPEAKER_01]: I think that it could be E-LARM's order.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_03]: I put it on the yellow one and say that loud, yeah.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, you did.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_01]: You decided that loud.
- 48:04[SPEAKER_03]: I, it's called the T's Ben.
- 48:06[SPEAKER_01]: I could have said, well, I'm paying mine because I mean, I mean, because I knew you already said it.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_01]: You said it earlier.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_01]: Lance, Scott, we got to go.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_01]: We need to go quicker.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm just going to say that's my now.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_01]: Um, yeah, I think he can make the biggest impact.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I think he could potentially start, start for them.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_01]: I think if he has a good enough camp, I don't know how, obviously, we don't know how they feel about drawing millions.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_01]: And if they don't bring another guy in, which obviously, I think they will.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_01]: But if they don't bring back a guy like Trac Thompson, Mamelano, who I mentioned earlier, I was at Sandra that brought it up.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_01]: No one that wasn't Sandra.
- 48:42[SPEAKER_01]: Mario asked, sorry, Mario.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_01]: Mario asked about resetting Mamelano.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_01]: I think that could be an option as well.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_01]: But again, I still don't know if those guys, they're both older.
- 48:51[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I don't think Andrew concerned, can they come in and step and stay at the level, maybe Shaq Thompson was at last year?
- 48:57[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_01]: So I think he could end up being a guy that starts by the end of the year.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe going into the playoffs could be a starter for this team.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_01]: And I think he prepared very well with a teropenard.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_04]: Beautiful.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he's very athletic.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_03]: That's one of not this not super athletic.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_03]: He's very athletic Well, that's definitely contribute immediately on special teams.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_03]: It's not the most aware guy sometimes But like he said this part of the draft guys are gonna have something can you teach awareness?
- 49:28[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know sometimes He's kind of lost out there, but that's the reason he fell flexible awareness
- 49:33[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I think some film study getting in with some of the guys, you know, a guy like Jim Leonard.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_04]: I, not to say he didn't have good teaching enough teachers where he's been, but I just, again, I have the utmost faith in the, in the teaching and development staff here.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_04]: Even though they're basically new on the defensive side, so we'll see how that plays out, but I, you know, I'm a big fan of Jim Leonard and thinking his staff's going to make a pretty good impact on e-larms or.
- 50:01[SPEAKER_01]: That's another guy though, for this year that they drafted that might not have been the smartest player, which McDermott and you saw on the field, like Kolbyship, they wanted a guy that on defense that's going to be brains to elbow anard leader.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_01]: They want these leaders where, yeah, they really still want leaders.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_01]: So I mean, everybody on a field team wants leaders, but they want guys that can go make plays.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_01]: And a guy that they picked after Elon or is another guy who
- 50:29[SPEAKER_01]: Might be my favorite pick of the draft.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_01]: I think as of now he probably is Jalen Kilgore.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_01]: I see who's a guy that I was talking about getting him in the third round.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe we don't like.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_01]: I really loved him.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_01]: He's another great athlete as you see here, another great raps for.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, six, one, two, 10, safety, they have him someplace to have him with a snack corner, but he's a safety.
- 50:55[SPEAKER_01]: And I think he's another guy that who knows what could happen.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_01]: You could see him on the field more than you think, because he's another just chess piece for his defense.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_01]: He's a guy that can do a little bit of everything.
- 51:07[SPEAKER_01]: Salatecler, good against the run, coverage is yeah, you can't get better at especially in man, but just a guy that is a baller, and I think is going to be a crucial part for this defense not just this year, but going forward, we've been down the road.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_01]: I think he could potentially be that guy that could be next to Colby Bishop, even though is he more strong safety?
- 51:28[SPEAKER_01]: Is he more of a free safety?
- 51:30[SPEAKER_01]: Probably more strong safety?
- 51:32[SPEAKER_01]: But again, when you get to the NFL, there's a lot to learn.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_01]: The guys can change a lot.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, out of South Carolina, I love it.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think they're Scott?
- 51:41[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he's another very similar to TJ Parker that we talked about.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_03]: Brandon being probably looked a lot at this 2024 film.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_03]: Get five picks in 2024.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_03]: South Carolina very similar to Clemson had a really down year.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_03]: People thought they would be potential playoff team and then they stuck.
- 51:57[SPEAKER_03]: So again, is that just the team was bad or was he not as great?
- 52:01[SPEAKER_03]: He's a freaky athlete.
- 52:04[SPEAKER_03]: He can come down and play some nickel or that star, Joker, whatever you want to call it, like you can come down and play that kind of box safety thing, which is one reason I kind of wonder as long-term fit with Cole Bishop and both the
- 52:16[SPEAKER_03]: piece has kind of both the base.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_03]: So at, but he's a really good football player and you can line him up all over, not the best hackler, but a lot of times that's just a want to thing.
- 52:28[SPEAKER_03]: So hopefully he cleans it up, but yeah, he could be a steal in the fifth round.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_03]: If he had a season this year, like he had his a sophomore year, he's probably going on day two at least.
- 52:39[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, I like that pick a lot.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_03]: That was seems like one of those ones that everybody
- 52:44[SPEAKER_03]: you know when our group chat on social media saying like oh like kill gore here kill gore here and then it actually was but hey we got one
- 52:52[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, those, those three, that three pick run, I think from 125, 126, and then the kill, kill, or pick were pretty much, a lot of people were kind of tipping those three guys at those spots.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_04]: So it was nice to see, hey, we know something, or we think we do anyway for a little bit, because we were totally confused the first three, but
- 53:16[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I like bringing in Killgore, obviously you're getting him at a really good value here in the fifth round, like Holy smokes, can't believe he's still there.
- 53:24[SPEAKER_04]: Athletic enough to really move around your defense and those are the kind of guys that, you know, this Jim Leonard defense is going to covet having the versatility, but also just being a good football player overall,
- 53:44[SPEAKER_04]: really good in this defense, and I'm excited to see how his coverage translates to the NFL and see how they use him there, obviously great length, which helps there and good speed for his size.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_04]: I think it's going to help him be pretty effective.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_04]: He's able to cover some vertical routes as well.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_04]: So we'll see how it fares and how it looks in the Jim Leonard scheme.
- 54:08[SPEAKER_04]: Luckily, I think
- 54:11[SPEAKER_04]: that both safeties are pretty versatile, so they'll work well in tandem if they are the starting pair for the time.
- 54:18[SPEAKER_04]: And they said that he was going to transfer to more of a safety role anyway.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_04]: This season had he stayed in school, so I think it's a natural progression for him to get out there and do it at the NFL level.
- 54:33[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we take a design to ramp.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we go.
- 54:37[SPEAKER_03]: no relation to Cassidy and we have Xanderan defense tackle out of Penn State.
- 54:44[SPEAKER_03]: Kind of an undersigned guy only six one two ninety has some short arms which this is why he fell.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_03]: to where he did late in the fifth round, but he gets off blocks at a really high level.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_03]: He turned on his Penn State field.
- 55:00[SPEAKER_03]: He's in the backfield a lot.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_03]: He's quickly, as he's quick off the ball and he's quick to slap his hands and get through, which I think is pretty good on a three, four defense.
- 55:10[SPEAKER_03]: We can line up kind of anywhere there in the middle.
- 55:13[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to be a lot of space for him to work because that five-man threats could, for us it's going to be kind of spread out and kind of play from gap to gap.
- 55:20[SPEAKER_03]: and get through, he's really athletic as well, as we saw the theme with all these bills to come to mind that they're versatile and they're athletic.
- 55:28[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I've been a lot of different spots and do a lot for you.
- 55:32[SPEAKER_03]: So, not a ton to say about him because he was a fifth round pick, but with being on their side is definitely a bigger line and really gets his hands on and he's not going where he wants to go, but for a fifth round pick,
- 55:46[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just gonna, you know, maybe play a handful, it's an apps game, maybe you can make a splash play, get an off-board.
- 55:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's always good to have DT depth, right?
- 55:55[SPEAKER_01]: Always good to have depth.
- 55:57[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, he's another good that I think a lot of people thought could go higher just because he had production in college.
- 56:05[SPEAKER_01]: But again, especially with blinding, those arm links really can make somebody drop.
- 56:13[SPEAKER_01]: Also, undersized can make people drop.
- 56:15[SPEAKER_01]: So the combination is not exactly the best.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_01]: He'll be an interest in wanting to see if he makes the 53 I think I could see him just being hey we're going to be a practice squad or hopefully not taking my somebody else which is possibility but yeah he's an interesting guy.
- 56:37[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to just be interested as he kind of he can make some some of those flashbacks early in training camp or anything to kind of get people to say hey you can make the 53.
- 56:47[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah I think it's going to be interesting guy and we're interested
- 56:52[SPEAKER_04]: We are here.
- 56:54[SPEAKER_04]: I want to see the flash of the athleticism and the explosiveness that he brings.
- 56:58[SPEAKER_04]: And we're going to see, you know, again, not necessarily the detackle style.
- 57:02[SPEAKER_04]: We thought they'd going to bring in during the draft.
- 57:04[SPEAKER_04]: But, uh,
- 57:05[SPEAKER_04]: I want to see that attacking nature from the word go here and training camp, but I think we will.
- 57:11[SPEAKER_04]: I think some preseason games are going to be pretty exciting with him on the field as well.
- 57:15[SPEAKER_04]: So excited to see how they're going to use him getting into gaps and slashing through offensive lines and going to move on to the pride of the draft Benchup.
- 57:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Toriano Pride Junior out of Missouri, but it's been two years at Clemson prior to that, just never really could get a starting job, so ends up transferring to Missouri.
- 57:43[SPEAKER_01]: But SEC talent, again, playing against the best of the best in college, or those now, it's kind of a question is the SEC the best, it's a question is on people's
- 57:52[SPEAKER_01]: it it it it is but to some people some yeah so but another guy that he's an interesting one to me just because of the fact that I could see them maybe trying to develop him as a slot corner now he's not the best tag or because he is understies he's only a 185
- 58:07[SPEAKER_01]: But that could be something, hey, put them on the practice squad, try to get them to beef up, then it's harder to do for some guys than others.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_01]: If they can get them a little bit heavier, I mean, a little bit of good amount heavier, because these are quick, fast guy, good, and again, another physical man, press corner.
- 58:24[SPEAKER_01]: So if they could maybe be a guy that they had some pounds, I'm interested to see if they end up kind of trying to move him there.
- 58:31[SPEAKER_01]: But either way, it's just more depth.
- 58:34[SPEAKER_04]: He is fast.
- 58:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_03]: Renekton.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_03]: He's fastening too.
- 58:40[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 58:40[SPEAKER_03]: So between him and Harrison, those are two of the fastest corners in the NFL, you kind of whiff this guy when he tries to jam guys up the line to finish out the strongest, but yeah, it's the guy who went where he should have gone and maybe he'll make the team.
- 58:54[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe he won't.
- 58:55[SPEAKER_03]: He's fast.
- 58:57[SPEAKER_01]: He's also a tough guy, so even when he can't tackle, he will tackle.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_03]: He will try.
- 59:06[SPEAKER_04]: got to go out there and give 110% as Brandon Frazier said in Bidazzle.
- 59:11[SPEAKER_04]: All right, Tommy Domingo Jr. was the next pick here from Florida also punted at Michigan.
- 59:17[SPEAKER_04]: He's going to have some upside on potentially helping out on the kickoff as well.
- 59:22[SPEAKER_04]: But interesting to bring in a second punner.
- 59:26[SPEAKER_04]: many people thought that that was going to happen here that a lot of people want to the kid from Syracuse or someone, but Tommy Dome and Juniors, the punner they select is going to come in compete with Mitch Wishnowski for this spot and don't have a ton more on the guys or anything he has want to say about Tommy Dome and not a Florida.
- 59:49[SPEAKER_01]: It should have been
- 59:54[SPEAKER_03]: got a couple notes on the guy was the number two pointer in his class out of high school was also I think the number two kicker as well so go both ways getting into led the FBS and hang on last season and that's right and then a 17 punts down inside the 20 so I think he is the
- 1:00:22[SPEAKER_04]: And he's punching.
- 1:00:23[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I think we're all ready to get a young guy in here that's going to last a couple of years.
- 1:00:27[SPEAKER_04]: I would have been kind of recycling punters year after year and wouldn't mind having a nice cheap rookie deal there at that position and kind of get a guy on board for not after three years.
- 1:00:38[SPEAKER_03]: Not after four years.
- 1:00:40[SPEAKER_04]: Exactly.
- 1:00:41[SPEAKER_04]: All right, Armage read Adams, a big guard from Texas A&M, the size and the wingspan of this guy is pretty much the notes on him on his draft profile, kind of rare unmatched from that perspective,
- 1:01:04[SPEAKER_04]: has some stunt and blitz recognition that he does well there.
- 1:01:11[SPEAKER_04]: For his size, he can move pretty well and has good balance recovery.
- 1:01:17[SPEAKER_04]: So Scott, what else do you wanna say about this big guard out at Texas A&M?
- 1:01:24[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he was a second team all American last year at A&M.
- 1:01:28[SPEAKER_03]: Again, SEC.
- 1:01:30[SPEAKER_03]: Took him a while to develop.
- 1:01:31[SPEAKER_03]: He spent his first couple years at Kansas transfer day in M was a six year college guy took him a few years to really find his groove, but he did and then he's an all-American.
- 1:01:42[SPEAKER_03]: He's like, you said he's big, but it's not necessarily a good big.
- 1:01:46[SPEAKER_03]: His body isn't the best from what I've read, and then there's watching his film, sometimes he'll catch instead of punching in past protection, like he'll kind of let the guy come off the ball and then catch him when he's at his base rather than attacking with his punch and the NFL is probably not going to work as well because guys are going to be a little bit better, have better moves, and if you're catching from the inside at
- 1:02:10[SPEAKER_03]: back into the quarterback so not really what they want you to do doesn't have the best feet which kind of goes for his size so to me he's a long shot to make the team but no he's big and he put up a good year of film last year so I just will take a flyer on him in the 7 it was either that or that that's different Nigeria he's never played football that's you know
- 1:02:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:02:39[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I don't really anything else to add up.
- 1:02:42[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to be honest.
- 1:02:44[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think I'll make the roster.
- 1:02:45[SPEAKER_01]: I think, you know, it's a seventh round pick.
- 1:02:48[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think we'll especially guard.
- 1:02:49[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know Phil.
- 1:02:50[SPEAKER_01]: And lastly, I want to see shows out, but I don't think I'll be on the roster.
- 1:02:53[SPEAKER_01]: Um, come week one.
- 1:02:56[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, that's, uh, all the buffal bill's draft and William, welcome in.
- 1:03:01[SPEAKER_01]: Glad to glad to have you here.
- 1:03:03[SPEAKER_01]: Um, hello from Troy.
- 1:03:05[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but yeah, we do have, I don't know where I kind of messed it up here.
- 1:03:11[SPEAKER_01]: Well, Scott and I did because I took Scott's messages.
- 1:03:14[SPEAKER_01]: Let's get moving.
- 1:03:15[SPEAKER_01]: Um, we did kind of already go over some of our favorite picks, Lee Saber picks.
- 1:03:21[SPEAKER_01]: But Lance, you have your favorite pick.
- 1:03:24[SPEAKER_01]: Scott, you said you were the favorite pick.
- 1:03:25[SPEAKER_01]: We also have favorite pick, but Lance, you didn't get to transfer their least favorite pick.
- 1:03:28[SPEAKER_01]: And it's not necessarily a pick, so what do you, what's your least favorite part about this draft?
- 1:03:33[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:03:33[SPEAKER_04]: I just want to bring up John's comment here real quick, rookie mini camp 9th and 10th, so basically it may be the 8th through the 11th, but it's going to be May 9th and 10th is when it's really going to run.
- 1:03:43[SPEAKER_04]: So there's that my release favorite pick were all the 7th rounders because I wanted them to draft Red Murdock and the 7th round and they didn't.
- 1:03:53[SPEAKER_04]: And then they missed out on getting him as a UDFA because he just drafted his Mr.
- 1:03:57[SPEAKER_04]: Relevant.
- 1:03:58[SPEAKER_04]: And I thought it would have been a heck of an ad
- 1:04:03[SPEAKER_04]: That doesn't stay home in Buffalo and goes out and maybe that is for the best for all involved, but you know, I would have like to have Red Murdock as a seventh round pick there.
- 1:04:17[SPEAKER_03]: What do you call an elephant, two dozen matter?
- 1:04:21[SPEAKER_04]: What do you call them?
- 1:04:22[SPEAKER_03]: They're relevant.
- 1:04:25[SPEAKER_03]: Very nice.
- 1:04:27[UNKNOWN]: I get it.
- 1:04:29[SPEAKER_01]: uh... my least favorite uh... don't pick of this draft wasn't necessarily like it because i didn't like the pick it's just i don't know what that is i'm kind of just in the middle on uh... but i guess i'd be if i had to pick it go through barrage just because i didn't really see
- 1:04:52[SPEAKER_01]: The need for it over other positions, not necessarily line-backer, but other positions.
- 1:04:59[SPEAKER_01]: So I was a little bit shocked there, but it did end up working out, and I was going to say this earlier.
- 1:05:03[SPEAKER_01]: But that pic right there is the exact reason why I said before the draft, it's probably going to be hard for me to have a real heavy opinion on how it's going until it's the very end.
- 1:05:14[SPEAKER_01]: Because at this point of the draft, like you pointed out, Lance,
- 1:05:17[SPEAKER_01]: Once you let batteries was selected, people went nuts.
- 1:05:20[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody went nuts saying, why are we drafting an offensive tackle?
- 1:05:24[SPEAKER_01]: This is why you wait till the end of the draft so you can see how it ended out.
- 1:05:28[SPEAKER_01]: If you still aren't happy about it, fair.
- 1:05:31[SPEAKER_01]: But they always got to just let it play out.
- 1:05:33[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, that's, I guess, would be my least favorite, but I still don't necessarily hate the pig by any means.
- 1:05:41[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, my least favorite is our moderate Adam slimy just talked about, cause I don't think he's gonna make the team.
- 1:05:49[SPEAKER_03]: Was it my favorite line man watching through a big on the seventh round if your favorite guy is still there?
- 1:05:54[SPEAKER_04]: Take Red Murda, what are you doing?
- 1:05:58[SPEAKER_01]: Anything you got to tell me?
- 1:05:59[SPEAKER_01]: The sixth year I think it's the part that bothers me the most.
- 1:06:01[SPEAKER_01]: Like you're drafted in a guy in the seventh round.
- 1:06:03[SPEAKER_03]: We're gonna see a lot of that, we're gonna see a lot more of that.
- 1:06:08[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't think like if you're gonna take a shot in the dark,
- 1:06:11[SPEAKER_01]: Why not?
- 1:06:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that would be a bit more, more upside in the red job because you know pretty much we're getting out of him.
- 1:06:18[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah.
- 1:06:18[SPEAKER_01]: Either way, biggest impact, I already said that I think you're arms or he's going to be the biggest impact Scott, do you want you said you were teasing it?
- 1:06:25[SPEAKER_01]: So do you have more or you've always been waiting for since the 30s have been drawn back and you are a center stage.
- 1:06:35[SPEAKER_03]: Wow.
- 1:06:35[SPEAKER_04]: The center stage left.
- 1:06:37[SPEAKER_04]: I'm actually prepared more.
- 1:06:38[SPEAKER_03]: But now as I tease my guy with the, who I think is gonna have the biggest attack is taking me on.
- 1:06:45[SPEAKER_03]: Okay fine.
- 1:06:46[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't take you off.
- 1:06:47[SPEAKER_01]: I moved you to the middle of this land set out technically left stage left.
- 1:06:51[SPEAKER_01]: So I just had to move you there.
- 1:06:52[SPEAKER_03]: All right, go ahead.
- 1:06:53[SPEAKER_03]: I can be in the middle of the time.
- 1:06:54[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, it's going to be my my guy who thinks makes the biggest impact for mainly really the the reason I said earlier where the art numbers three corner has played 30% of the snaps or more and each of the last uh last five seasons.
- 1:07:09[SPEAKER_03]: So this guy is going to get on the field.
- 1:07:11[SPEAKER_03]: He's going to play.
- 1:07:12[SPEAKER_03]: We know about our
- 1:07:13[SPEAKER_03]: probably going to deal with some injury.
- 1:07:15[SPEAKER_03]: So there's a pretty good chance he starts games for the bills next season and it's playing meaningful snap.
- 1:07:21[SPEAKER_03]: So I think he's going to make an impact this because he's going to have a really good chance to.
- 1:07:26[SPEAKER_03]: And like we said, he's played in a lot of big football games.
- 1:07:29[SPEAKER_03]: If he has issues, he's gravity, he has kind of these, but like that played 53 games in college.
- 1:07:34[SPEAKER_03]: He's going to have a much quicker learning curve than some other guys who haven't played that much.
- 1:07:39[SPEAKER_03]: So I think he's got a real chance to come in and make an impact.
- 1:07:42[SPEAKER_01]: So a lot of people are gonna be happy about the pick when if Benford or Harrison go down then it's gonna be, oh man, it did really think I hadn't had a plan.
- 1:07:54[SPEAKER_04]: Even given those guys a blow, I think it's going to be really huge and having the ability to not have a lot of drop-off with guys as if they get winded or just need a serious off for whatever reason might be if they do get a ding that they need to just sit for a few plays and that guy comes in and there's not much drop-off that's a huge element to have on defense and that is also why I think Skylar Bell is going to make the biggest
- 1:08:24[SPEAKER_04]: Shakira to move around as well as Bell moving around himself.
- 1:08:28[SPEAKER_04]: I just think the complementary piece that Bell brings to the whole offense is going to sort of propel this thing forward to be the top.
- 1:08:37[SPEAKER_04]: operating at the top level that it really can.
- 1:08:40[SPEAKER_04]: I think we're going to get the best out of a Josh Allen, Joe Brady offense this year with the addition of Skylar Bell, helping complement the addition of DJ Moore and now having Josh Palmer and more of a complimentary role as well.
- 1:08:53[SPEAKER_04]: And Keon Coleman will see where or if he still fits in the room.
- 1:08:57[SPEAKER_04]: And I think he may, they're talking it up like he may.
- 1:09:01[SPEAKER_04]: And
- 1:09:02[SPEAKER_04]: I think that those five just bring a solid, solid potential to the offense to be as explosive as we've ever seen it.
- 1:09:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:09:16[SPEAKER_04]: Which UDFA do you have a watch on Scott Kasim?
- 1:09:23[SPEAKER_03]: For me, Jackson Act fullback from Wisconsin.
- 1:09:28[SPEAKER_03]: I think he has the best chance to make a team of any of the UDFAs, just until they signed our friend, Ben Van Cermerin earlier this week, didn't have any other fullbacks on the roster, and this roster generally has a fullback.
- 1:09:43[SPEAKER_03]: So it was him by default, but he doesn't have some competition now, but it's going to come off of an injury, but
- 1:09:48[SPEAKER_03]: Wisconsin, he actually got some carries, scored a touchdown last season, four years, which in decent production there, six, one, two, 50 big guys.
- 1:09:58[SPEAKER_03]: So, and Gilligan was a UDFA.
- 1:10:02[SPEAKER_03]: He stuck around for a while, so maybe follow him in his footsteps.
- 1:10:07[SPEAKER_04]: I don't mean to disappoint and just tag on to Scott's pick, but that also was my pick for a lot of the same reasons.
- 1:10:14[SPEAKER_04]: And I think the path to the roster is one of the biggest reasons I would have taken Jackson back there.
- 1:10:21[SPEAKER_04]: Ben Schupe.
- 1:10:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm going to go with the Iran gains.
- 1:10:27[SPEAKER_01]: Just a linebacker, but also has been known to be kind of maybe a defense alignment, maybe a little bit of hybrid, but 61237, there's a guy that from D2 football played for the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles did help them win a conference championship in
- 1:10:47[SPEAKER_01]: Um, yeah, I mean, just, I think if, I mean, who knows obviously if he'll be a linebacker, or do you line?
- 1:10:55[SPEAKER_01]: But I think if it is a linebacker, I could be a potential.
- 1:10:59[SPEAKER_01]: I don't necessarily think he will, but if there is another position outside of fullback, maybe there has a chance for UDFA, at least at this moment with who they have on the roster, I would say linebacker would probably be that maybe squeak on, but, um, yeah.
- 1:11:13[SPEAKER_01]: Just a six one two thirty seven linebacker and we'll see if a d two legend can be made a day Well, he was the right one was d two, right?
- 1:11:23[SPEAKER_03]: Kind of see tech is division one and Fred Jackson was division three.
- 1:11:27[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, then why am I blank and then I thought of you I thought there was the rest yes Huh, I thought that Tennessee.
- 1:11:34[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I looked it up earlier.
- 1:11:36[SPEAKER_01]: It said that it wasn't they weren't Give us a bag
- 1:11:44[SPEAKER_01]: Uh-huh.
- 1:11:44[SPEAKER_01]: That's interesting.
- 1:11:45[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
- 1:11:51[SPEAKER_01]: They're in the, oh, I can barely.
- 1:11:52[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry.
- 1:11:55[SPEAKER_01]: Go.
- 1:11:55[SPEAKER_01]: All right, guys.
- 1:11:56[SPEAKER_02]: D3 co college.
- 1:11:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, those D3, D3, D3, D3, D3, D3, D3, D3.
- 1:12:02[SPEAKER_04]: what holes do you believe if any remain on this roster that need to be filled I will say this roster is at 92 reported players maybe there's one undrafted free agent that was reportedly going to sign that may not actually sign here so not a really late in dozen count.
- 1:12:23[SPEAKER_04]: Right, Clayton doesn't count, but so there's with all those, you can only have 91 and they're at 92 as of now.
- 1:12:32[SPEAKER_04]: So we'll see where that goes, but are there any holes still that you want to fill and obviously people will be let go and and brought in throughout the summer for sure things are going to happen injuries have a way of leveling the playing fields.
- 1:12:48[SPEAKER_04]: So.
- 1:12:49[SPEAKER_04]: What are your thoughts about a roster hole and what needs to be filled?
- 1:12:54[SPEAKER_01]: Wine backer depths, that's really all I got.
- 1:12:57[SPEAKER_01]: That's that's I've been maybe even like a starting line backer, but that's all I got because obviously linebacker, we don't know what it's going to look like, but I do feel like they could use some more guys in that room.
- 1:13:08[SPEAKER_01]: Other than that, I really don't see a major major need for any any position.
- 1:13:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, linebacker for sure.
- 1:13:18[SPEAKER_03]: out of a hard time believing we're going into the season with terelburn art and Dorian Williams as the two unquestion starters.
- 1:13:25[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, linebacker and then the line is always time to work in progress.
- 1:13:30[SPEAKER_03]: So and maybe they bring in someone there, but I think the offense is probably a set because it's going to get.
- 1:13:38[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I don't know if
- 1:13:41[SPEAKER_04]: You guys have any names for sure, but I think there's a lot of talk out there about bringing back Shack Thompson, who is not Shack Lawson.
- 1:13:49[SPEAKER_04]: They are two different men, and Shack Thompson is a great linebacker fit for the bills here to potentially come in and help bring a little more thumping ability to the linebacking room, but we'll see if that is
- 1:14:08[SPEAKER_04]: what they do, I think that the big thumper of a linebacker would be desired to me, but maybe it's not desirable necessarily to the goals and we'll see what they decide to do with that position.
- 1:14:27[SPEAKER_04]: That's about it.
