- 0:01Speaker 1: Hush, hush oh. He is the world's most famous mind reader.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Here's an Aussi, dude, he's only twenty four. Ash Magic
- 0:12Speaker 1: is joining us live in the studio. Hello, Hello, I
- 0:17Speaker 1: still can't believe you're Aussie in twenty four man, this
- 0:19Speaker 1: is all just happens.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Well, when did you start doing all this stuff?
- 0:22Speaker 3: Well?
- 0:22Speaker 4: I started this when I was eleven years old.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Okay.
- 0:24Speaker 4: I grew up with like crazy ADHD and autism, and
- 0:28Speaker 4: it was this kind of thing where like my mind
- 0:30Speaker 4: was so crazy and busy and so many things going on.
- 0:32Speaker 4: I couldn't leave my room, I couldn't look people in
- 0:34Speaker 4: the eye, I couldn't hold a conversation. And my parents
- 0:35Speaker 4: were trying everything, just trying to get me out of
- 0:37Speaker 4: my shelf. And I saw this guy on the street
- 0:40Speaker 4: one day. My mom took me shopping and we saw
- 0:42Speaker 4: this guy and he read my mind and I was like.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Wow, and you're like, I want to do that.
- 0:45Speaker 4: That is my personality for the next one hundred years.
- 0:47Speaker 4: That's what I'm doing.
- 0:49Speaker 3: Well.
- 0:49Speaker 5: And when you do have ADHD, you tend to like
- 0:52Speaker 5: find something that you are really passionate about and then
- 0:54Speaker 5: fixate on.
- 0:56Speaker 4: Percent focus. Yeah, like I just eat, slept and this stuff,
- 1:00Speaker 4: and I still do now and I love it.
- 1:02Speaker 5: So is mine reading something that Do you think that
- 1:04Speaker 5: it's something you're born with or is it something that
- 1:06Speaker 5: you have to essentially teach yourself.
- 1:08Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a weird thing. I like to compare it
- 1:09Speaker 4: to like singing, or like swimming or basketball. Like some
- 1:12Speaker 4: people are actually born like amazing singer, but other people
- 1:15Speaker 4: they're not. They start off not so good, and they
- 1:17Speaker 4: can practice and they can get to that level. But
- 1:19Speaker 4: I like to think that anyone who's like neurodiversion has
- 1:21Speaker 4: like this ability who can you know, hyperfocus and superpowers?
- 1:25Speaker 4: And I think that's such a cool message that like
- 1:26Speaker 4: these things that helped me back and I was so
- 1:29Speaker 4: ashamed of it. Now my superpower now, I guess I'm
- 1:31Speaker 4: going to show you guys just kind.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Of Yeah, is it, though, like a spiritual superpower thing
- 1:36Speaker 1: or are you reading our mind using psychology?
- 1:39Speaker 4: It's it's a little bit of both, a bit of both.
- 1:41Speaker 4: Like a lot of people think that I'm psychic, but
- 1:43Speaker 4: I don't claim to have, you know, psychic powers or anything,
- 1:45Speaker 4: but people still think that I am. As much as
- 1:48Speaker 4: I say I'm not psychic. I'm not the devil, they
- 1:50Speaker 4: keep thinking, I am, So.
- 1:51Speaker 1: How does it can you tell us? Or is it like, no,
- 1:53Speaker 1: we don't tell the tricks of the tracks?
- 1:55Speaker 4: That's the million dollar question. I can I can show
- 1:57Speaker 4: as you. But it's yeah, it's a long, hard prose
- 2:00Speaker 4: of learning, and it's it's such a fun skill. It's
- 2:02Speaker 4: so awesome.
- 2:03Speaker 5: So it's not like you can just like look at
- 2:06Speaker 5: your girlfriend and instantly know in that moment what she's thinking,
- 2:10Speaker 5: or can.
- 2:10Speaker 4: You like, what's right here? This your girlfriend, this is
- 2:14Speaker 4: my god, this is Georgia.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Georgie does he reads your mind?
- 2:18Speaker 3: He does read my mind all the time.
- 2:20Speaker 2: It'd be the perfect boyfriend then, right, like you.
- 2:23Speaker 4: Think you want a date of mind reader until you
- 2:25Speaker 4: are it's quite annoying.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Okay, oh he's annoying.
- 2:28Speaker 3: It's funny.
- 2:29Speaker 5: It's so true though, because women always say, like I
- 2:32Speaker 5: always get the shits with my husband because you know,
- 2:34Speaker 5: there'll be a lot of washing downstairs in the washing machine,
- 2:37Speaker 5: and like unless I tell him to get it out,
- 2:40Speaker 5: he just won't do it.
- 2:41Speaker 3: He's like, well, I can't read your mind.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Yeah, And I was like, well you should, but Ash
- 2:45Speaker 2: magic cash.
- 2:46Speaker 4: Magic are you?
- 2:47Speaker 3: Ash would hang that load of washing out without me
- 2:49Speaker 3: even having arms.
- 2:50Speaker 4: Already be done and folded.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Hey man, you've done a lot of celebrities. We've got
- 2:55Speaker 2: a little bit here of you talking to the Rock.
- 2:57Speaker 4: Have a listener that's till seven one two seven right?
- 3:02Speaker 5: Wow?
- 3:03Speaker 1: Okay, holy shit?
- 3:05Speaker 2: So what was that you read?
- 3:06Speaker 4: Like a number that was his uh pin code or
- 3:10Speaker 4: ATM pin code or something. I said, just think of
- 3:12Speaker 4: some random numbers and you could do an old pin
- 3:15Speaker 4: code or a current Pinko whatever you want. And he
- 3:16Speaker 4: he just locked in on.
- 3:18Speaker 1: So yeah, one of the the biggest celebrities you've done
- 3:21Speaker 1: is the Rock up there.
- 3:22Speaker 4: Man, the Rock is up there. He's probably my favorite,
- 3:23Speaker 4: just because of just what happened after and him posting
- 3:26Speaker 4: this video being like, you, guys, I just met this
- 3:28Speaker 4: guy called Ash. He read my mind. It was the
- 3:29Speaker 4: craziest thing ever. That's an incredible co sign. But yeah,
- 3:32Speaker 4: some of my even just like the smaller people, like
- 3:34Speaker 4: some smaller music artists that I've met I used to
- 3:35Speaker 4: like listen to growing up. Such a fulfilling moment like
- 3:38Speaker 4: meeting them like Ross Lynch or this musician Jack Kayes,
- 3:41Speaker 4: who was like my first everone. But yeah, some of
- 3:43Speaker 4: these guys.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Are crazy, and do you do you ever get it
- 3:45Speaker 3: wrong one hundred percent?
- 3:48Speaker 2: It's not like a hundred percent strike.
- 3:50Speaker 4: Right when I started, it was like fifty percent percent success.
- 3:53Speaker 4: But over time I got much much better at it.
- 3:55Speaker 2: And what would you just struck right thing? Now? Then?
- 3:58Speaker 4: Man, it's getting pretty good. I don't want to get
- 3:59Speaker 4: too cocky. It's pretty good. It's pretty good. Every so often,
- 4:02Speaker 4: if I'm tired or something, I guess you throw it up.
- 4:04Speaker 4: I might only get a few letters of a name.
- 4:05Speaker 4: I won't get the full name, or it's a super
- 4:07Speaker 4: complicated name. I sometimes maybe not. But yeah, yeah, well.
- 4:10Speaker 2: I'm Sam Worthington and Morgan Freeman two other celebs. Wow,
- 4:16Speaker 2: so cool.
- 4:16Speaker 4: That was a wild one too. He was, Yeah, that
- 4:19Speaker 4: was an interesting experience.
- 4:20Speaker 3: Did you get it right with him?
- 4:21Speaker 4: I think I did.
- 4:22Speaker 2: I think a little bit. Let's see, he was out
- 4:26Speaker 2: of talent you have?
- 4:27Speaker 5: Or that a trick?
- 4:29Speaker 2: Said? Is that a talent? You have a trick? Do
- 4:31Speaker 2: you remember what you did with him?
- 4:32Speaker 4: I did? I read his mind? Well, this was actually
- 4:34Speaker 4: funny story. I'm sitting outside about to go in and
- 4:36Speaker 4: the guy comes out. Who's who's in there before me?
- 4:39Speaker 4: Interviewing them, and he's like, man, that was crazy. I
- 4:41Speaker 4: didn't expect David to be there. And I'm like what
- 4:43Speaker 4: And then he ran off and he was he looked
- 4:44Speaker 4: like he'd seen a ghost. Like what's going on? Anyway?
- 4:47Speaker 4: I walk in and not only thinking this is crazy.
- 4:49Speaker 4: I'm in the room Morgan Freeman, Woody Howson, and then
- 4:51Speaker 4: I see in the corner, I'm like that guy that's
- 4:53Speaker 4: David Blaine, the greatest magician of all time, is sitting
- 4:57Speaker 4: in the corner. And I'm like he wasn't even doing anything.
- 4:59Speaker 4: He was just hanging out, and so I'm misally like, damn,
- 5:01Speaker 4: this is a tough room.
- 5:02Speaker 5: Oh my god.
- 5:03Speaker 4: Well, and then I asked Morgan, I'm like, think of
- 5:05Speaker 4: somebody that would be impossible for me to know, and
- 5:07Speaker 4: this guy thinks of David Blaine. The guy is standing
- 5:09Speaker 4: behind and I'm like, well, where can I get you?
- 5:13Speaker 2: You've asked us to do to do some stuff.
- 5:16Speaker 1: I'm freaking out about this, aren't you, Amy, because he's
- 5:18Speaker 1: going to read our mind.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Now I'm not freaking out.
- 5:20Speaker 3: I'm excited.
- 5:20Speaker 4: I want to try this stuff. I just want to
- 5:22Speaker 4: preface this. I haven't paid you any money to say
- 5:25Speaker 4: some things. I've not told you to play along. You
- 5:27Speaker 4: you've this is completely ran on the spot. What I
- 5:30Speaker 4: want you to do? No?
- 5:30Speaker 2: No, no, wait, we're going to go to a song man.
- 5:32Speaker 4: Then we're going to do it man the suspense.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Okay, suspense, let's see if you can do it. Bb
- 5:37Speaker 2: Rex are playing right now on Kiss More with Ash Magic. Next,
- 5:41Speaker 2: can you read our mind?
- 5:44Speaker 4: Ash Magic?
- 5:45Speaker 2: Kid?
- 5:47Speaker 1: Oh, he is the world's most famous mind reader. He's
- 5:49Speaker 1: an Aussie boy, Ash Magic joining us live in the
- 5:52Speaker 1: studio and now you're going.
- 5:55Speaker 2: To do what to us?
- 5:56Speaker 5: Man?
- 5:56Speaker 4: I'm going to get inside your heads. Essentially, it's gonna
- 6:01Speaker 4: do you have consented? I'm going to try. I want
- 6:05Speaker 4: to put you guys on the spot. I want you
- 6:07Speaker 4: to think back. Imagine you know you guys, you're driving
- 6:11Speaker 4: everybody to breakfast. This is you're You're such an integral
- 6:13Speaker 4: moment of people's lives. So many memorable years, yeah, so
- 6:17Speaker 4: many memorable moments you guys have given people. So I
- 6:19Speaker 4: want you to think back into your own lives, to
- 6:21Speaker 4: a memorable moment, almost like you had a time machine,
- 6:24Speaker 4: like a dial on the radio, Like you're sitting in
- 6:25Speaker 4: the car and you turn the back time, and you're
- 6:27Speaker 4: thinking about a memory, a memory of something or someone,
- 6:31Speaker 4: something in your mind that's not super obvious, like playing
- 6:34Speaker 4: baseball with dad that everybody has something super niche, super random,
- 6:37Speaker 4: impossible for me to guess you've got something inside your mind?
- 6:40Speaker 4: Is that correct? Have you ever told anybody this?
- 6:43Speaker 2: Oh, maybe once or twice, but not really.
- 6:45Speaker 4: Like a friend or something back in the day or Yeah.
- 6:48Speaker 1: It's very nat You know, you were asking for something
- 6:51Speaker 1: that no one else hauld know.
- 6:52Speaker 4: No one else would know this. You haven't told me this.
- 6:54Speaker 4: This is purely I thought inside your mind. All I
- 6:56Speaker 4: want you to do? Can I come over there? Yeah,
- 6:57Speaker 4: I've got to touch.
- 6:58Speaker 3: I'm going to touch you. You outre essentially as well?
- 7:01Speaker 2: Come and touch?
- 7:03Speaker 5: All right?
- 7:03Speaker 2: What do I do?
- 7:04Speaker 4: Top?
- 7:05Speaker 2: Sorry, we need the mic on you there? Come come
- 7:07Speaker 2: come really close? Yeah, nices, Oh my.
- 7:10Speaker 1: God, hold your finger tips out like this, Hold my
- 7:13Speaker 1: fingertips out.
- 7:14Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm just gonna tips your fingers just like this.
- 7:17Speaker 3: Now he's not trying to kiss you, Mike. He stop
- 7:20Speaker 3: leaning in.
- 7:20Speaker 2: I'm just trying to make sure he's on mic. These
- 7:22Speaker 2: are very directional.
- 7:23Speaker 4: Just stop looking at your lips, man.
- 7:25Speaker 2: All I want you to do is just think back
- 7:26Speaker 2: to this.
- 7:27Speaker 4: Memory, whatever this memory is inside your mind. Think about
- 7:29Speaker 4: how old you are in this memory. Interesting, I'm getting
- 7:33Speaker 4: the vibe you're very quite young. You're like you five
- 7:37Speaker 4: or six in this memory.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Very good, ash, just correct.
- 7:40Speaker 4: Think about whatever is happening in this memory. Think about
- 7:43Speaker 4: your inside, outside, in bed, on the couch, think about
- 7:45Speaker 4: where you are. Yep, okay, there's other people around. Yeah, yeah,
- 7:49Speaker 4: now this is different. Some people think this is kind
- 7:50Speaker 4: of psychic. But what psychics do is they just throw
- 7:52Speaker 4: out random things and hope something sticks. I want to
- 7:54Speaker 4: admit this is literally you'll think of something very very specific.
- 7:56Speaker 4: If I got this, this would be insane.
- 7:58Speaker 1: It would be because it's very I think, quite natives.
- 8:01Speaker 1: But you're right, I'm five. There are other people around.
- 8:03Speaker 4: Okay, not so impressive so far. Look around you look
- 8:06Speaker 4: at the scenery.
- 8:09Speaker 2: You're at school or.
- 8:09Speaker 4: Something you're at. Man, his face is shocked. Right now
- 8:12Speaker 4: you're at school. You're young, so you're in kindergarten? Is
- 8:14Speaker 4: that currect?
- 8:15Speaker 3: Yes?
- 8:16Speaker 4: Okay? Think about are you doing something in his memory?
- 8:18Speaker 4: It's just like you're at kindergun you're doing something specific
- 8:20Speaker 4: or in no way you're thinking of like an object or.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Something your bloody good, what are you going to get
- 8:26Speaker 1: the object?
- 8:27Speaker 5: Like?
- 8:27Speaker 4: Do you want me to Okay, think about this object.
- 8:29Speaker 4: Imagine you're holding it. It's small, it's lights something to do.
- 8:35Speaker 4: It's like not like a pair of scissors, but it's
- 8:36Speaker 4: something like it's.
- 8:39Speaker 2: You're looking up a little bit.
- 8:39Speaker 4: So even the hair.
- 8:41Speaker 2: Wait, are you thinking like a comb or like like
- 8:43Speaker 2: a hairbrush or some that is I'm sorry, I don't
- 8:45Speaker 2: know how you've done that? Is that is? I'll tell
- 8:47Speaker 2: you the story. That is crazy.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Come back on Mike for it. He wanted it because
- 8:51Speaker 1: he wanted something really nat I mean kindergarten. It's quite funny.
- 8:56Speaker 1: I'd taken my sister's pink comb.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Yeah right, I don't know.
- 9:00Speaker 1: I'm combing my hair with it, and I left it
- 9:02Speaker 1: out in the room where you put your bags, and
- 9:04Speaker 1: the teacher came in and she said, is this anyone's
- 9:07Speaker 1: pink comb? And of course I'm a boy, and I'm
- 9:09Speaker 1: embarrassed to admit that I'm using a pink comb. And
- 9:13Speaker 1: I remember I was like, oh, you know, you're a kid.
- 9:15Speaker 1: You're like, Oh, get in trouble if I don't bring
- 9:16Speaker 1: back my sister's pink comb.
- 9:18Speaker 2: So I go, oh, it's mine.
- 9:19Speaker 1: And the whole class laughed at me. You literally got
- 9:23Speaker 1: that story. I have no idea how you would have done.
- 9:27Speaker 4: That pink comb in kindergarten.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Yes, we've got it right.
- 9:33Speaker 4: Wow.
- 9:34Speaker 2: I don't believe in any of this stuff. So you've
- 9:37Speaker 2: You've changed.
- 9:38Speaker 4: Me, changed you. We can keep going. I don't know
- 9:40Speaker 4: how much time we go.
- 9:42Speaker 2: Why don't we do? Amy?
- 9:43Speaker 4: Let's do Amy? Amy? What do I want you to do? Imagine?
- 9:46Speaker 4: What are you doing when you're not on the radio,
- 9:48Speaker 4: youtubne and at home? Iang at the fan watching Netflix TV?
- 9:50Speaker 4: What are you doing?
- 9:52Speaker 5: I'm or gym No, I go for walks, I pick
- 9:56Speaker 5: up my kids from school, I go to other jobs podcasting.
- 10:00Speaker 4: What do you do when you're just chilling out at home?
- 10:04Speaker 5: I like to Yeah, I like to go for walks,
- 10:06Speaker 5: or I basically sit outside in my backyard.
- 10:09Speaker 4: Okay, wine, okay, okay, dude, no, no, Well let's try this.
- 10:13Speaker 4: Imagine you're nice at home, You're relax, Maybe you're sitting
- 10:16Speaker 4: on the couch. Maybe you're Netflix Disney. What do you
- 10:19Speaker 4: watch it home? YouTube?
- 10:21Speaker 5: What do you think if my kids watch YouTube? I
- 10:23Speaker 5: watch anything Netflix?
- 10:25Speaker 4: Stand? Okay? Imagine, Imagine what's your favorite.
- 10:29Speaker 5: Let's go with Netflix.
- 10:30Speaker 4: Go to Netflix. Imagine in front of you, we have
- 10:31Speaker 4: a TV and it's Netflix, but it's like infinite Netflix.
- 10:35Speaker 4: It's got every single movie and TV show in existence, millions,
- 10:40Speaker 4: billions of different movies and things from across the world.
- 10:42Speaker 4: And imagine I hand, you are remote and you're flicking
- 10:45Speaker 4: through all these different titles you got. There's so many
- 10:48Speaker 4: different movies and TV shows flying past your mind, and
- 10:51Speaker 4: then all of a sudden, you just you stop. You
- 10:53Speaker 4: stop on one movie or a TV show and you
- 10:56Speaker 4: see the poster for this movie. Can you see this
- 10:59Speaker 4: poster in your mind? You can see the details of it.
- 11:01Speaker 4: Look at those details. Visualize it, Okay, look at me.
- 11:05Speaker 4: Think about like the main actor is it? Is it
- 11:11Speaker 4: one or is it it's not like Avenger where there's
- 11:12Speaker 4: ten different people, or is it like one or two people?
- 11:14Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 11:15Speaker 3: Maybe I think there's one main actor.
- 11:17Speaker 4: Think of this one main actor. Okay, visualize their face, okay.
- 11:21Speaker 5: Whilst looking at you. Yeah. Yeah, it's almost like I
- 11:24Speaker 5: need to close my eyes, but yeah, okay.
- 11:26Speaker 4: Interesting slight shifting slight tension around the shoulders. Normally, when
- 11:29Speaker 4: there's a bit of tension. It's like a male to
- 11:31Speaker 4: female relationship. It's a guy right, yeah, okay, fifty to
- 11:34Speaker 4: fifty not that impressive. Think about this person's name.
- 11:39Speaker 3: His actor's name, or yeah, the.
- 11:42Speaker 4: The actor's name. Yeah you know his name.
- 11:44Speaker 3: Oh I know what it's.
- 11:46Speaker 2: I know the first name.
- 11:47Speaker 5: Yeah, the first name I get always mixed up with
- 11:49Speaker 5: the Yeah yeah, okay, yeah I think I know her
- 11:52Speaker 5: last name.
- 11:54Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah that's what I thought it was.
- 11:55Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, you think you know what I do? Just
- 11:58Speaker 4: think about the first letter of the of the first name.
- 12:00Speaker 4: So the first letter inside your mind, over and over.
- 12:05Speaker 4: It's like it an s imagine right here, you're interviewing
- 12:10Speaker 4: this actor. Oh my god, it's dream come true. This
- 12:13Speaker 4: random actor from this random movie is sitting here in
- 12:15Speaker 4: the seat, and you go, welcome to the show. Blank,
- 12:17Speaker 4: do that inside your mind? Welcome to the show, Steve Martin?
- 12:22Speaker 4: Is that who you're thinking of? Is Steve Martin the actor?
- 12:24Speaker 4: Inside your mind? Right now?
- 12:25Speaker 1: Yes? Yes?
- 12:27Speaker 2: How do you do that?
- 12:28Speaker 4: Let's take this a step further. You imagine every single
- 12:31Speaker 4: movie in existence. Yeah, any reason why you chose this
- 12:34Speaker 4: random movie at will? Any Yeah, there's a reason behind it. Yeah,
- 12:37Speaker 4: close your eyes, right, now imagine you're seeing this poster.
- 12:41Speaker 5: Mm hmm.
- 12:43Speaker 4: I'm just gonna do keep those eyes shut.
- 12:46Speaker 2: He's drawing something here looks like a uh.
- 12:55Speaker 4: I don't know if this is going to mean anything
- 12:56Speaker 4: this much.
- 13:00Speaker 2: It's like a child two people. Oh no, I don't
- 13:04Speaker 2: want to do that when he wants to do another one.
- 13:05Speaker 4: Okay, think about this person, think about this movie. You
- 13:09Speaker 4: have not told this movie to a single living soul.
- 13:12Speaker 4: Is that correct? You're literally just seeing this inside your mind.
- 13:14Speaker 4: All I want you to do right now this is
- 13:17Speaker 4: this is gonna be it? Okay? Can you admit this
- 13:22Speaker 4: was completely random? You could have thought of any single movie,
- 13:24Speaker 4: any single actor in existence. Is that correct?
