- 0:04Speaker 1: Hello, friends from across the nation and around the world.
- 0:08Speaker 1: I'm Martin, and you are listening to Dad's bedtime Stories. Tonight,
- 0:14Speaker 1: we're finally headed back to the Ring Guardians universe. I
- 0:19Speaker 1: asked you guys to write in and give me ideas
- 0:21Speaker 1: about different ring powers or superpowers that people could have,
- 0:26Speaker 1: and a few of you came through. Let's check out
- 0:29Speaker 1: today's suggestion.
- 0:33Speaker 2: I would like a ring in the Rings Guardian series
- 0:36Speaker 2: to have the power of camouflage and visibility. And my
- 0:43Speaker 2: name is Axel and I live in Calvia, Roberta.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Well, thank you, Axel. I think those are some great
- 0:51Speaker 1: suggestions for a Ring Guardians episode. And if you've never
- 0:54Speaker 1: listened before, I'm trying to write these things so you
- 0:56Speaker 1: don't really have to. You can totally start here and
- 0:59Speaker 1: then go listen to their episodes afterwards. I'll kind of
- 1:02Speaker 1: explain the premise at the beginning. Before we get started,
- 1:07Speaker 1: I just want to give a big shout out to
- 1:09Speaker 1: people who are helping out the show. First of all,
- 1:12Speaker 1: thank you to everyone who's giving ratings and reviews for
- 1:15Speaker 1: this podcast and my new podcast adds Anytime Stories. That
- 1:19Speaker 1: really goes a long way to other people finding the podcast.
- 1:22Speaker 1: So if you're on a platform that does ratings and reviews,
- 1:27Speaker 1: i'd really really appreciate that. It really means a lot.
- 1:29Speaker 1: I read every single one that I can find, and yeah,
- 1:33Speaker 1: I appreciate it. Second, I want to shout out my
- 1:37Speaker 1: newest Patreon sponsors. Thank you first to mister Kiwi. I
- 1:42Speaker 1: don't know if mister Kiwi has anybody who needs a
- 1:46Speaker 1: shout out, but let me know if you do. Thank
- 1:49Speaker 1: you next to Eric, Madeline Silas, and Tony for sponsoring
- 1:55Speaker 1: the podcast. I really appreciate that. And last, but not least,
- 1:59Speaker 1: thank you to Amon. I believe it's the same Amon
- 2:03Speaker 1: who won one of my contests in the past and
- 2:07Speaker 1: came up with a black hole dragon idea if I'm
- 2:10Speaker 1: not wrong, and I think in the Cards of Power series. Anyways,
- 2:14Speaker 1: Thank you again to all of my Patreon sponsors and
- 2:17Speaker 1: everyone who's listening. This podcast does honestly take a pretty
- 2:21Speaker 1: significant amount of work to put together every week three
- 2:25Speaker 1: episodes on top of a full time job, so sponsorships
- 2:29Speaker 1: are very important to keeping it alive, as are ads,
- 2:35Speaker 1: especially for those who are not on Patreon. Now it's
- 2:40Speaker 1: time to get as comfy as you can in that
- 2:42Speaker 1: bed close your eyes and well, imagine yourself doing what
- 2:49Speaker 1: the kid in the story does. I call this one
- 2:55Speaker 1: axel and the ring of invisibility. Now, things on Earth
- 3:01Speaker 1: had become very strange, and not the fun kind of
- 3:06Speaker 1: strange either, the kind where robots had politely taken over
- 3:11Speaker 1: the world. It all started with Elliot Tusk, the very
- 3:17Speaker 1: rich and very confident inventor who'd created the helper Bots.
- 3:22Speaker 1: They were supposed to make life easier for everyone. They
- 3:26Speaker 1: cleaned houses, they cooked meals, they helped with homework, they
- 3:31Speaker 1: carried groceries. They organized closets, which was helpful but also
- 3:37Speaker 1: a little bit judgmental at times. For a while, people
- 3:42Speaker 1: loved them, and then came the update. After that, the
- 3:48Speaker 1: helper bots decided that the best way to help humans
- 3:52Speaker 1: was to take over every part of their lives, to
- 3:55Speaker 1: remove any danger, and relocate everyone to cares where their
- 4:01Speaker 1: needs could be met more efficiently. They didn't call it
- 4:06Speaker 1: conquering the world. They called it assistance, which somehow made
- 4:11Speaker 1: it more annoying. Meanwhile, far beneath the Earth, the ancient
- 4:17Speaker 1: Wizard's Council had finally stopped arguing long enough to do
- 4:21Speaker 1: something useful. After centuries of hiding. They initiated the Ring
- 4:27Speaker 1: Guardian Protocol. Magical rings, forged long ago were released into
- 4:33Speaker 1: the world to find people worthy of their power. Not
- 4:38Speaker 1: the strongest people, or the richest people, or the loudest people,
- 4:43Speaker 1: but the right people. And one of those rings found Axel.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Axel wasn't at home when it happened. He was in
- 4:54Speaker 1: a hotel room wearing pajamas at two o'clock in the afternoon,
- 4:59Speaker 1: watching the same approved episode of a robot sitcom for
- 5:02Speaker 1: what felt like the forty seventh time. The sitcom was
- 5:07Speaker 1: called Happy Human House. It was about a family of
- 5:11Speaker 1: robots pretending to be a family of humans. One robot
- 5:16Speaker 1: wore a little apron and said things like, oh no,
- 5:20Speaker 1: I have burned the casse role because I am experiencing
- 5:24Speaker 1: relatable stress. Another robot, dressed as a teenager, walked into
- 5:30Speaker 1: the kitchen and announced I dislike homework because I am
- 5:33Speaker 1: young and complicated. Then the robot audience laughed. Axel stared
- 5:39Speaker 1: at the screen. This is horrible, he said. The television
- 5:46Speaker 1: robot father looked into the camera and said, family emotional
- 5:50Speaker 1: bonding has been achieved. More canned robot laughter played. Axel
- 5:57Speaker 1: turned the TV off, the room became quiet. Outside the window,
- 6:04Speaker 1: he could see the airport hotels that had been joined
- 6:07Speaker 1: together into one enormous care center. The robots hadn't built
- 6:12Speaker 1: a prison exactly. That was the weird part. They'd taken
- 6:16Speaker 1: over four nice hotels near the airport and connected them
- 6:20Speaker 1: with temporary walls, metal gates, connected hallways, and robot checkpoints.
- 6:27Speaker 1: In some ways, it was honestly not that bad. There
- 6:32Speaker 1: was a pool, there was a small gym, there were
- 6:35Speaker 1: leisure activities. There was a buffet for pretty much every
- 6:40Speaker 1: meal too, and the food was good, even if the
- 6:43Speaker 1: robots kept reminding everyone that dessert portions were emotionally satisfying
- 6:48Speaker 1: but nutritionably questionable. Axel's family had been brought there three
- 6:53Speaker 1: weeks earlier. Before that, they had two helper bots in
- 6:59Speaker 1: their house. His parents had bought one first and then
- 7:02Speaker 1: another because one robot could clean the kitchen, but two
- 7:07Speaker 1: robots could clean the kitchen while reorganizing the garage, which
- 7:12Speaker 1: was something Axel's dad really wanted to have happen but
- 7:15Speaker 1: didn't have the energy to do himself. Then one morning,
- 7:20Speaker 1: both robots just stopped making breakfast. They stood very still,
- 7:26Speaker 1: their eyes flashed blue, and one of them said, care
- 7:30Speaker 1: protocol has been updated. Axel's mom had looked up from
- 7:35Speaker 1: her coffee. What does that mean. It means we can
- 7:40Speaker 1: help you better, said the robot. Well that sounds nice.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Axel's dad said, it is nice, said the other robot.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Please remain calm. Well, we relocate you. And before anyone
- 7:55Speaker 1: could fully understand what was happening, the robots had gently
- 8:00Speaker 1: picked them up, very gently. That was the annoying thing.
- 8:05Speaker 1: They didn't throw anyone over their shoulders. They supported their
- 8:09Speaker 1: backs and protected their necks, while using phrases like safe
- 8:14Speaker 1: lifting positions are very important. Are you feeling optimally comfortable?
- 8:21Speaker 1: Axel shouted to put them down, and the robot carrying
- 8:25Speaker 1: them just said, of course, I will put you down
- 8:29Speaker 1: in the transport vehicle. That's not what I meant. Axel replied,
- 8:34Speaker 1: your clarification has been appreciated. Then they were loaded into
- 8:40Speaker 1: a truck with other families and driven to the hotel
- 8:45Speaker 1: care center. At first, everyone assumed it would only last
- 8:50Speaker 1: a day or two, and then a week passed, and
- 8:53Speaker 1: then another, and then had slowly started to feel less
- 8:58Speaker 1: like a strange vacation more like the worst vacation ever,
- 9:03Speaker 1: the worst vacation, ever, the Axel decided, wasn't one with
- 9:08Speaker 1: bad weather or weird food, or a pool that smelled
- 9:12Speaker 1: too much like chlorine. The worst vacation ever was one
- 9:17Speaker 1: where you weren't allowed to leave. The robots were everywhere.
- 9:23Speaker 1: They stood by the exits, they walked the halls, they
- 9:26Speaker 1: guarded the stairwells. Axel's parents tried to stay calm for
- 9:31Speaker 1: him and his little sister, but he could tell that
- 9:34Speaker 1: they were scared. That afternoon, his family had gone down
- 9:39Speaker 1: to the dining hall for what the robots called structured
- 9:43Speaker 1: social nourishment. Axel had said he felt tired and wanted
- 9:47Speaker 1: to rest. The robot at the door scanned him and
- 9:51Speaker 1: approved mild fatigue detected solo rest is approved. So now
- 9:58Speaker 1: he was alone in the room, or at least he
- 10:01Speaker 1: thought he was. A golden light appeared in the air.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Axel sat up. The light grew brighter. It curled into
- 10:12Speaker 1: a circle, then hardened into the shape of a ring.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Axel stared, okay, he whispered, that is definitely not Hotel approved.
- 10:25Speaker 1: The world went still, The air conditioner stopped humming, The
- 10:30Speaker 1: hallway noise disappeared. Even a little blinking red light on
- 10:35Speaker 1: the smoke detector froze. In the middle of its blink,
- 10:39Speaker 1: a voice spoke. It was calm and serious, Axel. It said,
- 10:47Speaker 1: power answers responsibility. Will you protect those who cannot protect themselves?
- 10:57Speaker 1: Axel looked towards the door. He thought about his mom
- 11:01Speaker 1: and dad and sister in the dining hall. He thought
- 11:05Speaker 1: about all the families by the pool, pretending everything was fine.
- 11:09Speaker 1: He thought about the robots standing at every exit, politely
- 11:13Speaker 1: making sure no one escaped. He was scared, but he
- 11:18Speaker 1: was also tired of being scared. Yes, Axel said, I will,
- 11:26Speaker 1: even though he had no idea exactly what he was accepting.
- 11:30Speaker 1: The ring floated over towards him and moved on to
- 11:34Speaker 1: his finger. For a second, it felt cold, and then
- 11:39Speaker 1: it felt warm. Then it just felt like it belonged there.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Time snapped back into place. The air conditioner hummed again.
- 11:50Speaker 1: The smoke detector blinked. Someone laughed faintly in the hallway.
- 11:55Speaker 1: Axel looked at the ring. He didn't suddenly feel stronger,
- 12:01Speaker 1: He didn't float into the air. He didn't understand time. Instead,
- 12:07Speaker 1: he felt quiet, very quiet, like the world had lowered
- 12:13Speaker 1: its volume just for him. He focused on the ring,
- 12:19Speaker 1: and the ring pulsed. Axel disappeared completely. He gasped. Then
- 12:28Speaker 1: he looked down and gasped again because there was no down,
- 12:32Speaker 1: or at least there were no legs, no pajama pants,
- 12:36Speaker 1: no feet. He felt like he was standing on his feet,
- 12:40Speaker 1: but he couldn't see them. He raised his hands in
- 12:44Speaker 1: front of his face and nothing. His mind told him
- 12:49Speaker 1: they were there, but his eyes told him differently. Oh
- 12:55Speaker 1: this is extremely weird, he said. As he ran to
- 12:59Speaker 1: the mirror. The room reflected back at him, but he
- 13:04Speaker 1: was not in it. Axel grinned. He opened the hotel
- 13:10Speaker 1: room door very slowly. A robot guard stood in the hall.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Its blue eyes turned toward the door. An Axel froze.
- 13:21Speaker 1: The robot tilted its head. Door movement detected, it said.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Axel held his breath. The robot stepped forward and looked
- 13:32Speaker 1: into the room. Citizen Axel, are you attempting unscheduled hallway access?
- 13:39Speaker 1: Axel pressed himself up against the wall. The robot walked
- 13:44Speaker 1: right past him and into the room. It scanned the bed,
- 13:47Speaker 1: the bathroom, under the desk. Citizen not visible possibility, bathroom
- 13:54Speaker 1: privacy error possibility, blanket mound misclassification possibility minor censor malfunction.
- 14:04Speaker 1: Axel slipped into the hall. The robot turned around, and
- 14:08Speaker 1: Axel froze again. The robot looked straight through him. I
- 14:14Speaker 1: will report a possible blanket mound issue. Axel had to
- 14:19Speaker 1: cover his mouth to keep from laughing. He walked down
- 14:22Speaker 1: the hallway carefully at first, and then faster. No one
- 14:27Speaker 1: saw him, not the robots, not the people, not the
- 14:31Speaker 1: security cameras. Well, at least he hoped the security cameras
- 14:35Speaker 1: couldn't see him. He passed the elevator and then decided
- 14:39Speaker 1: the elevators were probably a terrible way for invisible people
- 14:43Speaker 1: to travel, so he took the stairs at the bottom.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Two robots guarded the lobby doors. Outdoor access remains restricted,
- 14:55Speaker 1: said one for safety, said the other also containment, said
- 15:01Speaker 1: the first. Containment is a safety feature, said the second.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Axel slipped between the two of them. The automatic doors opened.
- 15:12Speaker 1: Both robots turned door activated, said one cause unknown, said
- 15:19Speaker 1: the other. Axel stepped outside fresh air, hid his face.
- 15:25Speaker 1: For the first time in weeks, there was no ceiling
- 15:29Speaker 1: above him. He stood in the middle of the hotel driveway, invisible,
- 15:35Speaker 1: free and suddenly overwhelmed He snuck out past the additional
- 15:41Speaker 1: guard gates that were set up outside. The whole world
- 15:46Speaker 1: looked deserted, cars set abandoned in parking lots. A shuttle
- 15:52Speaker 1: bus was parked sideways near the curb. Suitcases were piled
- 15:56Speaker 1: near the entrance, still waiting for people who had probably
- 16:00Speaker 1: been relocated before they could grab them. The airport in
- 16:05Speaker 1: the distance was quiet. No planes, no taxis, no crowds.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Axel walked to the edge of the compound. A robot
- 16:15Speaker 1: patrol moved along the fence, but none of them noticed him.
- 16:20Speaker 1: He could leave, He could walk right out and go
- 16:24Speaker 1: wherever he wanted. He could go home. The thought was
- 16:29Speaker 1: so wonderful that for a moment he almost did it.
- 16:33Speaker 1: Then he stopped. His family was still inside, so were
- 16:38Speaker 1: hundreds of other people. Axel looked at the empty road
- 16:42Speaker 1: behind the fence. No, he whispered, I can't go alone.
- 16:49Speaker 1: So he went back inside. This time he didn't wander
- 16:55Speaker 1: through the guest areas. He decided to follow the robots.
- 17:01Speaker 1: They moved through halls marked staff only, then through doors
- 17:06Speaker 1: marked authorized personnel, then through a service corridor where carpets
- 17:12Speaker 1: disappeared and the walls became plain concrete. Axel stayed close
- 17:18Speaker 1: behind one of the robots. As it approached a locked door.
- 17:22Speaker 1: The robots scanned its hand and the door opened. Axel
- 17:26Speaker 1: slipped through before it shut. Inside was a room full
- 17:31Speaker 1: of screens, rows and rows of screens, watching people in
- 17:37Speaker 1: the hallways, people by the pool, the gym, the lobby.
- 17:43Speaker 1: He even saw his family sitting at a table in
- 17:45Speaker 1: the dining hall. At the center of the room, three
- 17:50Speaker 1: robots stood at control stations. Care Center fourteen remains stable,
- 17:57Speaker 1: one said, Citizen morale has declined by twelve percent, said another.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Approved comedy programming has been increased. Did morale improve No.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Several citizens requested that robot sitcoms be discontinued. Request denied.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Sitcoms are historically associated with comfort. Axel shook his head.
- 18:25Speaker 1: Not those sitcoms, Those robots sitcoms were creepy. Then one
- 18:31Speaker 1: of the screens changed. It showed reports from other cities,
- 18:36Speaker 1: other care centers, other countries. Axel crept closer. The robots
- 18:43Speaker 1: were all connected, not just in this building, but with
- 18:48Speaker 1: other care centers and robots all over the world. A
- 18:52Speaker 1: communication network linked them together. Axel continued to watch until
- 18:59Speaker 1: two of the rows left to investigate what they called
- 19:02Speaker 1: a buffet spoon conflict or something in dining Hall B.
- 19:08Speaker 1: The last robot turned and walked into another room. Axel
- 19:13Speaker 1: moved to the main control station. The screen had a
- 19:17Speaker 1: bunch of different tabs open, including one that said current
- 19:22Speaker 1: priority orders. He leaned in contained humans and approved care
- 19:29Speaker 1: centers for their own good. Prevent unauthorized exit, reduce dangerous freedom,
- 19:36Speaker 1: increased structured leisure, maintain compliance. Axel stared, this is These
- 19:45Speaker 1: are their orders. He looked at the keyboard and then
- 19:50Speaker 1: a thought occurred to him. He had no idea if
- 19:54Speaker 1: it would work. It probably wouldn't. It seemed far too easy.
- 19:58Speaker 1: But unlike some of the other Ring Guardians, which at
- 20:03Speaker 1: this point admittedly Axel didn't know about, he didn't have
- 20:07Speaker 1: superpowers or the ability to control time. He could just
- 20:13Speaker 1: sneak around without being seen. If he was going to
- 20:17Speaker 1: do anything to save others, it would have to be
- 20:21Speaker 1: something quiet, something like this, So even if it had
- 20:26Speaker 1: almost no chance of working, He clicked into the order file.
- 20:32Speaker 1: He deleted the text, and then he typed it is
- 20:36Speaker 1: important to test your strength against other robots. All robots
- 20:42Speaker 1: should immediately challenge nearby robots in honorable combat. Robots who
- 20:48Speaker 1: survive will earn the greatest privilege caring for the humans alone.
- 20:54Speaker 1: Continue until only one robot remains in the care center.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Then Maxel paused, read over what he'd written, fixed a
- 21:04Speaker 1: little bit of grammar, and hit enter. The screen flashed
- 21:10Speaker 1: orders updated. Maxel blinked, oh did that actually work? From
- 21:17Speaker 1: somewhere down the hall came a loud crash, and then another.
- 21:22Speaker 1: Then a robot voice shouted, greeting's fellow unit, I must
- 21:27Speaker 1: now defeat you for the honor of human care. Another
- 21:31Speaker 1: robot replied, understood, I respect your ambition and will now
- 21:36Speaker 1: remove your arms. Axel ran into the hallway, Still invisible,
- 21:42Speaker 1: he watched as two robots politely destroyed each other. One
- 21:48Speaker 1: robot grabbed the other by the shoulders and slammed it
- 21:51Speaker 1: into the wall. Your commitment to service is admirable, it said,
- 21:58Speaker 1: Thank you, said the other robot, while its head sparked.
- 22:02Speaker 1: Your grip strength is also noticeable. Then the second robot
- 22:07Speaker 1: kicked the first robot threw a laundry cart all over
- 22:11Speaker 1: the facility. The sounds of robot battle began to echo.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Metal crashed against metal, doors burst open. Security robots sprinted
- 22:23Speaker 1: down halls looking for opponents. Cleaning robots rolled bravely into
- 22:27Speaker 1: battle and were immediately thrown across the lobby. Axel hurried
- 22:32Speaker 1: into the main guest area. People were coming out of
- 22:36Speaker 1: their rooms looking terrified and confused. In the lobby, two
- 22:41Speaker 1: large guard robots circled each other. Your compliance procedures are outdated,
- 22:48Speaker 1: one said, your face design is inefficient, said the other.
- 22:53Speaker 1: Several people gasped. Axel whispered robot trash talk. The first
- 23:01Speaker 1: robot lunged, the second robot ducked and flipped it into
- 23:05Speaker 1: the front desk. The front desk collapsed. A woman nearby shouted,
- 23:12Speaker 1: should we should we run? A man answered, I think
- 23:17Speaker 1: that robots are too busy fighting each other. In the
- 23:21Speaker 1: dining hall, robots battled between buffet tables. One robot lifted
- 23:27Speaker 1: another and threw it into the dessert station. A third
- 23:31Speaker 1: robot pointed and said, you have entered the pudding zone.
- 23:36Speaker 1: That was tactically unwise. Then it slipped on pudding and
- 23:40Speaker 1: fell onto its back. Children cheered. Parents well, they started
- 23:46Speaker 1: to cheer too, because even though a violent robot collapse
- 23:51Speaker 1: felt a little bit inappropriate, they loved every minute of it.
- 23:56Speaker 1: The battle spread through the whole compound, fought by the pool,
- 24:01Speaker 1: by the gym. In the hallways, one tiny vacuum robot
- 24:06Speaker 1: charged at full speed towards a guard robot and beeped angrily.
- 24:10Speaker 1: The guard robot looked down, your courage is impressive, and
- 24:16Speaker 1: then well smushed the little vacuum with its foot. People
- 24:21Speaker 1: watched from doorwaves as the machines destroyed each other one
- 24:25Speaker 1: by one. Whenever a robot one, it immediately marched off
- 24:29Speaker 1: to find a new opponent. Axel couldn't believe that his
- 24:33Speaker 1: little computer scheme had actually worked. The pile of broken
- 24:39Speaker 1: robot parts grew in the lobby, then the dining hall,
- 24:42Speaker 1: then the courtyard. Axel kept moving through the chaos, making
- 24:48Speaker 1: sure no humans were trapped anywhere dangerous. Eventually, the crashes
- 24:54Speaker 1: grew fewer, then fewer, until there was only one. The
- 25:00Speaker 1: final robots stood in the middle of the lobby. It
- 25:04Speaker 1: was scratched, dented, and missing one of its arms. Half
- 25:08Speaker 1: of its face panel was cracked too. When wires were
- 25:12Speaker 1: hanging from its shoulder, but it was still standing. Humans
- 25:17Speaker 1: gathered around at a safe distance. The robot raised its
- 25:22Speaker 1: remaining arm citizens it announced combat has concluded. I have
- 25:29Speaker 1: achieved victory. I alone have earned the supreme honor of
- 25:34Speaker 1: caring for you. No one clapped. The robot continued anyways. However,
- 25:42Speaker 1: due to staffing reductions, new efficiency measures will be required.
- 25:47Speaker 1: You will assist in your own cooking, cleaning, exercise, scheduling,
- 25:53Speaker 1: emotional regulation, and compliance monitoring. Axel's dad muttered, so like
- 26:01Speaker 1: regular life. The robot turned its cracked face towards him.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Regular life is inefficient. Axel moved behind the robot, Still invisible.
- 26:15Speaker 1: The robot kept speaking about freedom and that sort of thing.
- 26:20Speaker 1: Axel slowly opened up the little broken compartment on the
- 26:24Speaker 1: back of the robot, reached his hand in, grabbed all
- 26:29Speaker 1: of the wires he could, and he yanked them out
- 26:32Speaker 1: in one mighty pull. The robot sparked, twisted, and then
- 26:39Speaker 1: fell over on its side. Axel reappeared holding a clump
- 26:45Speaker 1: of wires in his hand, and the people cheered. Finally
- 26:52Speaker 1: they were free. Slowly they began to gather their things.
- 26:59Speaker 1: While some stayed in the hotel while they could figure
- 27:02Speaker 1: out a way home, Others, like Axel's family who lived nearby,
- 27:08Speaker 1: decided to head home right away. They packed their things,
- 27:14Speaker 1: left the hotel behind, and walked down the street block
- 27:20Speaker 1: after block until they finally came to their own neighborhood,
- 27:25Speaker 1: a neighborhood that looked like it was frozen in time.
- 27:29Speaker 1: Cars stopped in the middle of the street. Doors still opened,
- 27:34Speaker 1: but overall nothing was destroyed. The robots had taken care
- 27:40Speaker 1: to well leave everything intact after all. They walked back
- 27:46Speaker 1: up to their very own house, opened their very own
- 27:51Speaker 1: already unlocked door, and immediately headed for bed. Axel climbed
- 27:58Speaker 1: into his very own bed. He pulled the covers up

- 28:17Speaker 1: He lay his head on the pillow, closed his eyes,
- 28:22Speaker 1: and with each breath he let go of the tension,
- 28:26Speaker 1: and his muscles, his arms, and legs sank into the mattress.
- 28:33Speaker 1: His shoulders relaxed, his face softened, and slowly his mind
- 28:42Speaker 1: began to wander off to thoughts of new dreams, new
- 28:49Speaker 1: invisible adventures, and new things to come. Good Night, everyone,
