Church Scam King Accused of $3.2M Fraud | Texas News
A North Texas church-connected scammer, Richard Reinaldo Garcia, 53, is facing federal charges after allegedly bilking over $3.2 million from more than 50 victims using fake church investment schemes. He pitched “church flipping” and international Christian concerts, but instead funneled money through church accounts for personal use and silenced victims with small payments. He also allegedly stole someone’s identity to file business paperwork. Arrested at DFW Airport in May, his trial is set for October 13th — and the FBI is still hunting for more victims.
