- 2:02Speaker 4: One of my chief concerns when we agreed to do
- 2:05Speaker 4: breakfast was that old mugie. He was going to turn
- 2:09Speaker 4: up all rugged up, you know, jackets because it's cold
- 2:15Speaker 4: out fellas and it's been raining as well. But I
- 2:17Speaker 4: am delighted to see he's wearing his tidy whitey T
- 2:22Speaker 4: shirt looking like an absolute studie.
- 2:26Speaker 2: House life got pretty grassy, Your mad dog is six
- 2:30Speaker 2: aoo Tuesday morning. There feellers and our final week of
- 2:36Speaker 2: breakfast and people are people are devastating about it. We
- 2:40Speaker 2: had one guy yesterday on the text machine who was
- 2:43Speaker 2: so sad he asked us to text him when we
- 2:45Speaker 2: were leaving so they could come back from the rock.
- 2:49Speaker 2: I just wanted to know when Jerry was going to
- 2:51Speaker 2: be back. Yes, was it just one guy? Was it
- 2:55Speaker 2: that I was?
- 2:56Speaker 6: God?
- 2:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean that's just an example of yeah, yeah,
- 3:00Speaker 2: a few days and that so our last week. I'm
- 3:04Speaker 2: gadded about it, but I think you've got to celebrate
- 3:07Speaker 2: what you've got while it's here, Jace. Yeah. Man, That's
- 3:09Speaker 2: always been my motto, and that's how I feel about
- 3:11Speaker 2: old Kezy.
- 3:12Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 3:14Speaker 4: Now, can I just say, Kezy, this makes sense, very
- 3:20Speaker 4: very hooded eyes this morning. Normally, of course, I associate
- 3:24Speaker 4: that with you being massively hungover, but I know that's
- 3:28Speaker 4: not the case today. You're just a bit weary on it.
- 3:30Speaker 5: I'm just tired, Jase, because it's six am and usually
- 3:34Speaker 5: I don't go to work until the afternoon. That's true,
- 3:37Speaker 5: but hey, a big show coming up, fellas massive show,
- 3:40Speaker 5: and you're looking good Jays.
- 3:42Speaker 4: As always, this is my primetime, man, I love this
- 3:46Speaker 4: time of the day. In the meantime is Jimmy World.
- 3:50Speaker 1: The Hurdarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio Hodarkies.
- 3:54Speaker 4: Indeed, Jimmy E World there on the Big Show Breakfast
- 3:57Speaker 4: this Tuesday morning. Normally this time the day, what we'd
- 4:01Speaker 4: be doing is what's for breakfast with me?
- 4:03Speaker 2: Kezy?
- 4:03Speaker 4: What's on the break now? What's on the breakfast with me?
- 4:05Speaker 2: Keysy?
- 4:06Speaker 4: And we thought, actually, what we'd like to do is
- 4:08Speaker 4: start up our own sort of cafe type set up
- 4:10Speaker 4: here fellas the Big Show Breakfast and coffee lounge. We
- 4:14Speaker 4: could call it something like that.
- 4:16Speaker 5: I hate that name.
- 4:17Speaker 4: What think of another one?
- 4:19Speaker 6: Then?
- 4:20Speaker 4: I'm just putting it out there to start with, Kezy, don't.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Just on my ideas.
- 4:24Speaker 4: Man, it's bloody nine minutes part sex.
- 4:27Speaker 2: I'm so sorry.
- 4:28Speaker 5: That's a great idea.
- 4:29Speaker 2: What was it?
- 4:29Speaker 4: The breakfast the Big Show Breakfast and coffee cafe and
- 4:32Speaker 4: coffee lounge?
- 4:34Speaker 2: That shit. But I will think of something.
- 4:37Speaker 4: Yeah, or will you decide on three four eight three
- 4:41Speaker 4: what our cafe should be called?
- 4:43Speaker 2: That's a good idea. We figured you could give us
- 4:45Speaker 2: a ring there on eight hundred Hodeki Hoody Jay is
- 4:49Speaker 2: going to start the day by taking order. You know,
- 4:51Speaker 2: when you go to those cafes and you just served
- 4:53Speaker 2: by the most unfriendly, filthiest, grumpiest son of a bee
- 4:56Speaker 2: that you've ever met in your life. Where we thought
- 4:58Speaker 2: today that will be you. Jason?
- 4:59Speaker 4: Yeah, sure, why? Oh no, Look I'm great with customer
- 5:03Speaker 4: a service out front front of house, front of house.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Yeah, front of the house. Jason, you're all right.
- 5:08Speaker 4: I don't know that.
- 5:12Speaker 5: My worry is that no one's going to call up
- 5:14Speaker 5: at six am in the morning calling us.
- 5:17Speaker 2: They will, man, really totally right.
- 5:20Speaker 5: We have to put some sort of prize on the line, or.
- 5:23Speaker 2: I think, so, what about a million dollars? Okay, why not?
- 5:26Speaker 5: Okay, I'll write that down. One million dollars you say
- 5:28Speaker 5: one million?
- 5:29Speaker 2: Just one million? Okay. So what we're.
- 5:31Speaker 4: Wanting is for people to call us on eight hundred
- 5:33Speaker 4: Hahdarchy and we'll take your order.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Tell us what you're having for breakfast, we'll sort it
- 5:37Speaker 2: out for you, and we will then send you on
- 5:40Speaker 2: your way. We thought we might as well make some
- 5:41Speaker 2: money out of this this show while we're doing it.
- 5:44Speaker 5: So people call us on they tell us what they're
- 5:48Speaker 5: having for breakfast.
- 5:49Speaker 4: Know what they want for breakfast from the come ony
- 5:53Speaker 4: attention then and then we take the.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Order, take the order, get their credit card details and
- 5:58Speaker 2: then hang up on them.
- 6:00Speaker 5: Oh yeah, okay, well one hundred Hodaki, what are you
- 6:02Speaker 5: having for breakfast? New Zealand get in touch.
- 6:07Speaker 2: No one's calling at this stage.
- 6:10Speaker 5: Sliding up.

- 6:30Speaker 4: wanted to open my own cafe.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Well, you had one briefly earlier in the year, didn't
- 6:33Speaker 2: You got shut down by the council. Yeah, it did
- 6:36Speaker 2: it did What was that for?
- 6:37Speaker 5: Was it food hygiene or something?
- 6:38Speaker 2: Yeah? Food? Oh no, it's more than pawn mags.
- 6:42Speaker 4: But so we're doing it here, we get we're taking
- 6:45Speaker 4: your orders live on the show. And so I'm front
- 6:48Speaker 4: of house.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Am I your front of house?

- 9:41Speaker 4: I'm over it, hey, fellas.
- 9:43Speaker 5: Just an online orders come through here. Yes, people can
- 9:46Speaker 5: sit online orders by texting three four eight three Blue
- 9:51Speaker 5: v Packer. When he reads in a ham and cheese
- 9:53Speaker 5: croissant from Shane.
- 9:56Speaker 2: I'm very fond of the ham and cheese. Here's the

- 10:04Speaker 2: our boss is going to bring some in for us.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Have it forward to that, yeh three for eight three
- 10:11Speaker 2: as well. We want some names through our cafe because
- 10:13Speaker 2: you can't come up with anything. We've thought of this
- 10:15Speaker 2: very late. Notice there's a Black Keys. I think it
- 10:18Speaker 2: was a success for.
- 10:19Speaker 1: The Hierarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio Hierarchy
- 10:27Speaker 1: Sport Larrence rod.
- 10:29Speaker 9: Con Yes, it is at six thirty time for your
- 10:32Speaker 9: later sport headlines. Thanks to Export Ultra the bear for here.
- 10:36Speaker 9: The black Caps have won the toss and chosen to
- 10:38Speaker 9: bowl first in their second ODI against the West Indies
- 10:41Speaker 9: in Guyana, New Zealand's made one change to its playing
- 10:44Speaker 9: eleven with batting all round a Dean Foxcroft replacing Nathan
- 10:48Speaker 9: Smith and that match is just getting underweight Rodo Booby.
- 10:53Speaker 9: New Zealand's wait for another under twenty World A rugby
- 10:56Speaker 9: title will continue. They've been pipped by France twenty six
- 11:00Speaker 9: twenty two in the Semis at Georgia.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Oh carry on wom.
- 11:09Speaker 9: And Brendon McCallum has apologized for England's Test cricket results
- 11:13Speaker 9: under his leadership following his dismissal as.
- 11:16Speaker 10: Red ball coach.
- 11:18Speaker 2: I'm not heavy with that his apology. Oh well, I
- 11:21Speaker 2: don't think he should be apologizing at all. Everyone can
- 11:24Speaker 2: mind their goddamn business.
- 11:26Speaker 4: Yeah, just a little tip there, very cricket heavy there.
- 11:31Speaker 4: There's two stories about cricket there, mate.
- 11:34Speaker 2: But and my question would be where's the woman's sport? Yeah?
- 11:39Speaker 2: Because I noticed you've really started well hardy J and
- 11:44Speaker 2: you're quite literally pointing the finger now, so I just
- 11:46Speaker 2: ask you and here we expect to hear about women's sport.
- 11:50Speaker 9: I just don't know that Haughty Jay's sort of against
- 11:53Speaker 9: the women's sports results.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Start where you've got that from get out?
- 11:58Speaker 5: Wait for you do?
- 11:59Speaker 2: No old red red kind so.
- 12:03Speaker 9: Oh but traffic is it?
- 12:07Speaker 2: Obviously? That's what the Steamers always do. Have you even
- 12:11Speaker 2: prepped for this? Broom?
- 12:12Speaker 9: Come on, man, well, which region we are we covering?
- 12:15Speaker 9: We're doing the whole country here.
- 12:16Speaker 2: So it's vibe based.
- 12:19Speaker 9: Well, look, there's a bit of some cars on the
- 12:21Speaker 9: roads today, so watch out for them. A few trucks
- 12:24Speaker 9: around two and you know they can be quite slow.
- 12:28Speaker 2: So sign things down.
- 12:29Speaker 9: That's your latest traffic news there. I'm how was that
- 12:35Speaker 9: that was good? Yeah?
- 12:37Speaker 5: I just had a text on three four eight three.
- 12:39Speaker 5: Not a lot of traffic around.
- 12:39Speaker 10: It's only six thirty am okay, So just.
- 12:42Speaker 2: Jeez, that's embarrassing.
- 12:44Speaker 9: Yeah, I'm railing Ramsey.
- 12:48Speaker 1: The Hierarchy Big Show week days from four on Radio.
- 12:51Speaker 4: Hodarchy Stone Temple pilots there on the Big Show Breakfast
- 12:54Speaker 4: this Tuesday morning.
- 12:56Speaker 2: The time is six thirty seven.
- 12:59Speaker 4: And since we've been doing the Breakfast Show, we've been
- 13:01Speaker 4: inundated with texts from people asking us, have you guys
- 13:06Speaker 4: got any tips for having to wake up early?
- 13:09Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 13:09Speaker 4: Absolute inundated, absolute, absolutely inundated.
- 13:16Speaker 5: That's right, three four eight three. If if you want
- 13:18Speaker 5: to undated us with anything, absolutely hepes. People are asking though, fellos,
- 13:22Speaker 5: and you know we've been doing this for what four days?
- 13:24Speaker 5: Now is our fourth day doing breakfast? Yes, yeah, so
- 13:27Speaker 5: we're pretty damn good at this stage. So I just
- 13:29Speaker 5: figured some tips on how to get up early. For example,
- 13:32Speaker 5: my first tip will be go to bed earlier. No, bet,
- 13:38Speaker 5: Usually I go to bed. To be honest, I'm on
- 13:39Speaker 5: drive radio in the afternoon. I'll go to BID eleven
- 13:41Speaker 5: pm plus every single night, whereas at the moment last night,
- 13:45Speaker 5: I was in bed at eight forty five.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Yes, well, just.
- 13:48Speaker 4: On that front. What I what I've been doing is
- 13:51Speaker 4: after the breakfast show finishes, I go home and go
- 13:54Speaker 4: to bed for a nap. No, I just go to
- 13:59Speaker 4: bed and then I wake up and I say, oh,
- 14:01Speaker 4: breakfast time again.
- 14:02Speaker 2: Here we go.
- 14:03Speaker 5: So you're asleep at like eleven am, yes, and you
- 14:07Speaker 5: wake up at about four am.
- 14:10Speaker 4: Yeah, not as much sleep as I normally get, but
- 14:13Speaker 4: it's you know, it'll have to do.
- 14:15Speaker 2: For now, How do you come up with ideas for
- 14:17Speaker 2: content in my dreams?
- 14:20Speaker 4: After I wake up from a dream, either deeply aroused
- 14:23Speaker 4: or it'll be like, oh, oh I know tips for
- 14:26Speaker 4: getting up early? Yeah, and it'll be straight in the
- 14:29Speaker 4: group chat there. What do you do mode?
- 14:32Speaker 2: For me, what I do is I make sure that
- 14:34Speaker 2: I've got an alarm that has really been a lot
- 14:36Speaker 2: of my wife for example, she's got a soothing alarm
- 14:38Speaker 2: clock that sort of lulls her out of your slumber,
- 14:42Speaker 2: whereas mine's like the sound of a freight train. So
- 14:44Speaker 2: I have to leap out of bed. Yeah, there's no
- 14:46Speaker 2: snoozing when you've got that. You've got to leap out
- 14:48Speaker 2: of bed. And my phone is on the other side
- 14:49Speaker 2: of the room.
- 14:50Speaker 5: Yes, that's actually that's that is a good tip, bro,
- 14:53Speaker 5: if you're a snoozer, if you're a chronic snoozer, put
- 14:56Speaker 5: your phone on the other side of the room or
- 14:58Speaker 5: outside the room.
- 14:59Speaker 4: Yeah, you basically one an alarm that's going to give
- 15:02Speaker 4: you a heart attack, that's right, you know what I mean?
- 15:04Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, because like they're getting out of bed pads
- 15:08Speaker 5: what wakes you up. So quite often I used to
- 15:09Speaker 5: be a snooze. I put my phone like in the
- 15:11Speaker 5: lounge at and not have to get up and go
- 15:14Speaker 5: get it.
- 15:14Speaker 4: Another good thing you can do, actually to save yourself
- 15:17Speaker 4: a bit of time if you do like a snooze,
- 15:19Speaker 4: is just don't shower. Yes, you know, what I mean,
- 15:21Speaker 4: just flag the shower and all the hygiene things. Just
- 15:25Speaker 4: get straight in your trek ease after you get up
- 15:27Speaker 4: and go straight to work.
- 15:28Speaker 5: Well, I mean there's also basic hygiene before entering the workplace.
- 15:32Speaker 4: Well, you don't need to worry about it this time
- 15:34Speaker 4: of the day. There's no one here.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Yeah, right, so absolutely reek, who cares. I bought a cat.
- 15:41Speaker 2: So I've got a cat, and that cat wakes me
- 15:43Speaker 2: up about two am, three am, four am, five am. Right,
- 15:49Speaker 2: to buy a cat just for you, buy a cat,
- 15:50Speaker 2: because a cat will want to either heavy yarn, come
- 15:53Speaker 2: in and just start peering and sort of needing your
- 15:55Speaker 2: you know, your sort of neck and head ears, or
- 15:58Speaker 2: it's hungry, or to go outside and do a steamer,
- 16:01Speaker 2: or it's going to do a steamer on your beard
- 16:02Speaker 2: like my kit.
- 16:03Speaker 4: Right, Okay, I got another tip. I moved into the
- 16:07Speaker 4: CBD and like, for example, this morning at about and
- 16:13Speaker 4: I was telling you Fellas about it.
- 16:16Speaker 2: When I came in.
- 16:16Speaker 4: Today at about twenty to four, there was a guy
- 16:19Speaker 4: walking down our street ringing a cow bell. Yes, and
- 16:23Speaker 4: then you get your standy murders, you know about people
- 16:27Speaker 4: were screaming and all that sort of stuff move to
- 16:30Speaker 4: the CBD.
- 16:33Speaker 5: I also, I get up and have a really big
- 16:35Speaker 5: glass of water first. Ah, and then I don't drink
- 16:37Speaker 5: my coffee until I'm almost at work.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Oh really Yeah, okay, I don't drink at night because
- 16:43Speaker 2: I find that it's harder to get up in the morning.
- 16:46Speaker 2: Yeah alcohol, yeah yeah yeah. But in the morning I
- 16:49Speaker 2: reward myself with a few beers as soon as I
- 16:51Speaker 2: wake up.
- 16:53Speaker 1: The whole archy. Big Show was Jason, Mike and Kyzy.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Tune in on radio.
- 16:59Speaker 4: You too there on Big Show Breakfast this Tuesday morning.
- 17:02Speaker 4: The time is exactly ten minutes to seven o'clock.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Fellas. I'm a little bit concerned that I'm losing all
- 17:08Speaker 2: respect at home, right, you know, with my wife and
- 17:12Speaker 2: my daughter. There's some sort of some signs there that
- 17:17Speaker 2: maybe my opinion is not valued.
- 17:20Speaker 4: Here.
- 17:20Speaker 2: I'll give you an example. The yesterday I'm at home.
- 17:24Speaker 2: I'm in the kitchen cleaning it, you know, just all
- 17:28Speaker 2: the the breakfast dishes and stuff that have sort of
- 17:31Speaker 2: stacked up from when I was here doing breakfast radio.
- 17:33Speaker 2: So I got to get home and tidy it all up,
- 17:35Speaker 2: clean and sort of clean the bathroom and just tidy
- 17:38Speaker 2: the house up. And everything obviously there home, but you
- 17:41Speaker 2: know there's a lot going on. Oh very busy.
- 17:43Speaker 5: Is this what you're talking about? The laquer of respect here?
- 17:45Speaker 2: No, just get into the aspect. No, that's wow. That's
- 17:48Speaker 2: not lequer of respect. That's standy keezy is it? Yeah?
- 17:51Speaker 4: Oh wow?
- 17:51Speaker 2: Okay, you'll find out once you've got kids, okay, which.
- 17:55Speaker 4: Is which is very very.
- 17:59Speaker 5: Excit stop it.
- 18:01Speaker 2: So my daughter comes in and tells me. She's like, Dad,
- 18:04Speaker 2: like that, and she's like, we're getting a dog. And
- 18:06Speaker 2: I'm like, because she's seven, she's seven year okay, And
- 18:11Speaker 2: I'm like, no, it's not. She's like, yeah, we're getting
- 18:14Speaker 2: a dog and we're getting a Chihuahua. I can see
- 18:19Speaker 2: you and me and mum were looking at them on
- 18:22Speaker 2: the computer today. My wife and I have had some
- 18:26Speaker 2: quite detailed chats about whether or not we're getting a dog,
- 18:29Speaker 2: and we're not, or at least I didn't think we were. Yes.
- 18:32Speaker 2: So then I'm in the office my wife is in
- 18:34Speaker 2: the office there and in the home office, and the
- 18:37Speaker 2: daughter comes and I said, oh, what's this about us?
- 18:39Speaker 5: Are here here? We getting a dog?
- 18:41Speaker 2: And she's like what I said, Oh, Frankie, my daughter
- 18:45Speaker 2: here is telling me that we're going to be getting
- 18:48Speaker 2: a dog, which is not only that we're getting a chihuahua.
- 18:51Speaker 2: There's not a dog on the planet that I hate
- 18:53Speaker 2: more than a chia.
- 18:54Speaker 5: Yeah, we're looking.
- 18:57Speaker 2: Animals.
- 18:59Speaker 4: And they're all the most vicious too, the smallest dog,
- 19:02Speaker 4: but the most vicious, the most vicious mate. I've been
- 19:05Speaker 4: bitten many times.
- 19:06Speaker 2: By shocking temperaments. Shocking, man, they're poisonous.
- 19:10Speaker 4: Chihuahua bites they.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Do, and they gossip about you behind your back. They
- 19:15Speaker 2: talked about you behind your back.
- 19:18Speaker 4: Massive ears as well.
- 19:21Speaker 5: Are you sure that you're thinking of a cobra?
- 19:24Speaker 2: Cobras don't have ears? Key brain, Okay, anyway, So the
- 19:32Speaker 2: conversation goes on and my wife's wears up and down
- 19:35Speaker 2: that she hasn't said this. She's simply said that we might,
- 19:41Speaker 2: we might, Okay, maybe we'll get one. And so I
- 19:45Speaker 2: said to my daughter, I said, when mum's when dad
- 19:48Speaker 2: says maybe, does that mean yes or no? And my
- 19:51Speaker 2: daughter said it means no, and I see it. And
- 19:54Speaker 2: when mom says maybe we'll do something, does that usually
- 19:57Speaker 2: end up meaning yes or no? She said yes. Yeah.
- 20:01Speaker 2: So I'm just wondering because this is an entire and
- 20:03Speaker 2: as I found out, my wife, as a precursor of
- 20:07Speaker 2: the conversation, said to my daughter, don't tell dad we're
- 20:11Speaker 2: talking about this. Yeah, yes, So what the hell is
- 20:17Speaker 2: going on? I'm now living with I'm essentially a peer.
- 20:20Speaker 2: I'm like the cat. Now it's my wife and my
- 20:23Speaker 2: daughter that rolled the rooster home then then and no
- 20:26Speaker 2: word of a lie. Then it goes the cat, and
- 20:28Speaker 2: then it goes me.
- 20:29Speaker 5: You slaving over the dishes.
- 20:30Speaker 4: There, yes, with your little apron on.
- 20:34Speaker 2: So am I losing all respect there?
- 20:35Speaker 1: Now?
- 20:35Speaker 2: Are there any other examples? Oh?
- 20:36Speaker 4: Yeah, totally you are, because I'm the same with my
- 20:39Speaker 4: you know, I've got four girls, and the amount of
- 20:43Speaker 4: stuff that went on between my girls and my wife
- 20:46Speaker 4: never had a clue about. Yeah, all the stuff that
- 20:48Speaker 4: was planned, never told about. And then they I don't believe.
- 20:53Speaker 4: Then they present it as you know, it's being done.
- 20:56Speaker 4: There's no discussion about.
- 20:57Speaker 2: It, that's right.
- 20:58Speaker 4: And then they try and gaslight you about it and go,
- 21:00Speaker 4: we did talk.
- 21:01Speaker 5: About it, and it's like, no, that's an opera situation. No,
- 21:05Speaker 5: I think they did talk about it. Ever, three four eight,
- 21:08Speaker 5: three of you lost respect in your household? Examples or
- 21:11Speaker 5: text in the drawer for a prize because.
- 21:14Speaker 2: I Another example for you, Jason is like the way
- 21:17Speaker 2: that your wife dresses you.
- 21:18Speaker 3: Yeah, you know those boots.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Come on, man, here's great day.
- 21:25Speaker 1: The Hold Aching Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy.
- 21:27Speaker 1: Tune in week days at four on Radio Hold.
- 21:30Speaker 4: I can you're welcome back here, assive backbones. Hope your
- 21:33Speaker 4: Tuesday morning is going along very nicely. Indeed, you're listening
- 21:38Speaker 4: to the Big Show Breakfast brought to you by Bunnings Trade.

- 21:55Speaker 2: this morning, absolutely visiting here. I mean, you've got to
- 21:58Speaker 2: get up early and listen to the show. You're lazy.
- 22:01Speaker 4: I'm actually pretty convinced that people are doing that. As
- 22:03Speaker 4: soon as they heard we were doing breakfast, they went right,
- 22:05Speaker 4: I'm going to be up at you at the start
- 22:07Speaker 4: of the show six am on the dot. Really yeah, totally.
- 22:11Speaker 2: Man.
- 22:11Speaker 4: Incidentally, keep those orders coming through for what you want
- 22:15Speaker 4: for breakfast on three four eight three. Yes, we've started
- 22:18Speaker 4: up our own little cafe here, so you know, keep
- 22:21Speaker 4: keep them coming. Why are you laughing, Keezy, because it
- 22:25Speaker 4: was like forty minutes ago. I know, well that's what
- 22:26Speaker 4: I'm saying. Just keep keep them coming.
- 22:29Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah, you keep coming. Three four three pugs
- 22:32Speaker 5: a nditioned out prizes which has been pretty fun.
- 22:34Speaker 2: Totally mate.
- 22:35Speaker 5: We've got a big show ahead fellas. Obviously we need
- 22:38Speaker 5: to touch on the absolute legend and icon that is
- 22:40Speaker 5: Sam Neil. Yes, also your chance to win two hundred
- 22:44Speaker 5: and fifty bucks cash the pies that pay. Listen now
- 22:46Speaker 5: for the k to call. It'll be happening at some
- 22:48Speaker 5: stage this hour.
- 22:49Speaker 4: Yeah, good stuff mate, Coming up though, the very sad news.
- 22:53Speaker 2: About Sam Neil.
- 22:54Speaker 4: Will be having a bit of chitty chat about that.
- 22:56Speaker 1: The Hodikey Big Show was Jason, Mike and Kezy.
- 23:02Speaker 4: Audio slave there on the Big Show Breakfast this Tuesday morning.
- 23:08Speaker 4: The time is nine minutes past seven, and of course
- 23:10Speaker 4: yesterday we heard the very sad news of the passing
- 23:12Speaker 4: of the great, the one and only Sam Neil, probably
- 23:16Speaker 4: our greatest actor.
- 23:17Speaker 2: Mogi. You could argue, yeah, I reckon, he'd be right
- 23:20Speaker 2: up there. It's a hell of a career. He's head
- 23:23Speaker 2: the sort of video clip of yesterday sort of having
- 23:25Speaker 2: a yarn about it of him going down to university
- 23:29Speaker 2: meant to be doing a degree in something, but just
- 23:31Speaker 2: baggering around doing plays in trying to trying to hook
- 23:36Speaker 2: up with woman, yes, and then panicking in a conversation
- 23:39Speaker 2: with his mother who told him he better get a
- 23:40Speaker 2: shit together. Yeah, and didn't he get a shit together
- 23:44Speaker 2: in glorious fashion. A hell of a career, stated out
- 23:48Speaker 2: with Sleeping Dogs in New Zealand, and then he went
- 23:49Speaker 2: on to do some incredible films and work with, you know,
- 23:53Speaker 2: some of the biggest directors, the biggest actors in the
- 23:56Speaker 2: world are you know, a career spanning fifty plus years,
- 24:01Speaker 2: and at the same time manages to retain sort of
- 24:04Speaker 2: a level of anonymity as a working actor. He's not
- 24:06Speaker 2: a superstar, he's not a celebrity. He doesn't chase any
- 24:09Speaker 2: of that stuff at all. You wouldn't know a thing
- 24:10Speaker 2: about his personal life despite him being such a presence
- 24:15Speaker 2: in all of our lives for such a long long time,
- 24:18Speaker 2: and also uses whatever fame that he did have to
- 24:22Speaker 2: you know, to celebrate causes and pursue causes. It meant
- 24:26Speaker 2: a lot to him. He'd been working up to his
- 24:28Speaker 2: passing on stopping mining down in the South Island. And
- 24:34Speaker 2: you know it's a bit of gold mining they're trying
- 24:35Speaker 2: to do down there and rap up a part of
- 24:38Speaker 2: Central Otago, so it's working really hard to stop that.
- 24:41Speaker 2: A battler for indigenous rights and women's rights and all
- 24:43Speaker 2: these sorts of things. He was, you know, I worked
- 24:46Speaker 2: with him on Hunt for the Wilder of People. I
- 24:47Speaker 2: saw him recently at the ten year anniversary. Everything you
- 24:51Speaker 2: think about the guy is what he was. Yeah, one
- 24:55Speaker 2: of the nicest men that you would ever meet in
- 24:57Speaker 2: your life. Genuinely, genuinely good man.
- 25:01Speaker 4: I had the privilege of bumping into him in the
- 25:04Speaker 4: Codu lounge and I was reading a book I can't
- 25:07Speaker 4: remember the name of the author, and he wandered over
- 25:10Speaker 4: to me. He didn't know who I was. Of course
- 25:12Speaker 4: I knew who he was, and he said, ah, what
- 25:15Speaker 4: book is that? And I can't remember the author's name,
- 25:18Speaker 4: And he was a big fan of it. And so
- 25:20Speaker 4: he sat and chatted for about four minutes about this author, right,
- 25:23Speaker 4: and he was totally into it. But I think one
- 25:24Speaker 4: of the extraordinary things that he did was to show
- 25:28Speaker 4: New Zealand actors that you could be on the world stage,
- 25:31Speaker 4: you know what I mean, you didn't just have to
- 25:33Speaker 4: work within the confines of New Zealand, because, as you
- 25:36Speaker 4: pointed out, he's worked with a great many great directors
- 25:40Speaker 4: and actors, and he showed us that actually it's possible
- 25:43Speaker 4: for a key we.
- 25:44Speaker 2: To do that one hundred percent going from New Zealand
- 25:47Speaker 2: then to Australia and then into the US and the UK.
- 25:50Speaker 2: It was unfathomable, yes, at the time, that you could
- 25:53Speaker 2: do that as a New Zealander. And so it's just
- 25:56Speaker 2: one of those things where you see one of your
- 25:57Speaker 2: own doing it and it becomes possible for you. I mean,
- 26:00Speaker 2: I could choose to be a big Hollywood start if
- 26:01Speaker 2: I wanted. I've got the radio show Keysy, I've got you,
- 26:04Speaker 2: you know, me and Jason trying to you know, get
- 26:06Speaker 2: your career up.
- 26:07Speaker 5: And go about me. Ma, I'm sweet.
- 26:09Speaker 4: No, we do feel a responsibility. But seriously, a legend,
- 26:15Speaker 4: bloody good looking Feller too, wasn't a stunning looking.
- 26:18Speaker 2: Fellow well on Hunt for the World of People When
- 26:20Speaker 2: I've told the story before, but there's a seat the
- 26:23Speaker 2: first time I met him, there's a scene where I'm
- 26:25Speaker 2: one of three hunters and Samuel gets into a fight
- 26:28Speaker 2: with one of the other hunters. He grabs this feller
- 26:32Speaker 2: Cohen Holloway peasant pinned to a table after come in
- 26:35Speaker 2: and grabs them Neil from behind and grab him around
- 26:38Speaker 2: the neck and yank him back. And I did that,
- 26:42Speaker 2: but on the first take I came through and I
- 26:44Speaker 2: punched him in the face.
- 26:45Speaker 4: Right.
- 26:45Speaker 2: It was an accident, but the filming stopped for a
- 26:49Speaker 2: period because obviously I don't know my own strength. Jason,
- 26:52Speaker 2: he was dazed and confused. Poor I'll see him there
- 26:55Speaker 2: And anyway, was telling my mother about it, and to
- 26:57Speaker 2: this day she's absolutely filthy about it because she's always
- 27:02Speaker 2: felt that there's a chance for her and sam Neil.
- 27:05Speaker 2: I could see that he was a maddenine idol, yes,
- 27:08Speaker 2: and got the talent, the talent to support that, and
- 27:12Speaker 2: the career was unbelievable. So a bloody said. I feel
- 27:15Speaker 2: for his family, But Jesus, what a great life. Yes,
- 27:18Speaker 2: a great life. Celebrate his life for sure. Yeah, you
- 27:21Speaker 2: can be sad about it, but if you're going to
- 27:23Speaker 2: if you could sit down as a young person and
- 27:26Speaker 2: write out your journey, the adventures that you would go
- 27:30Speaker 2: on to find a thing you're passionate about, to be
- 27:32Speaker 2: brave enough to pursue it, to find out you're good
- 27:35Speaker 2: at it, for other people to recognize your talent, and
- 27:39Speaker 2: then to share the screen and scenes with some of
- 27:44Speaker 2: the greatest actors the world has ever seen, while being
- 27:47Speaker 2: directed by some of the greatest directors the world has
- 27:49Speaker 2: ever seen. You'd be happy to write the end at
- 27:52Speaker 2: the end of that story, wouldn't you? Totally and stay
- 27:55Speaker 2: humble through all of that. You've got any.
- 27:57Speaker 4: Thoughts on Sam Neil? Text us now on three four
- 28:00Speaker 4: eight three. In the meantime, He's music.
- 28:03Speaker 1: The Hurdiarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio Hodarchy.
- 28:07Speaker 4: Is indeed news.
- 28:09Speaker 2: There on the radio hold Archy Breakfast.
- 28:12Speaker 4: This Tuesday mornings were Sunday sixty three for one and
- 28:16Speaker 4: the second one day. If you're interested, we're talking about
- 28:19Speaker 4: the great career of Sam Neil, who sadly passed away yesterday.
- 28:23Speaker 2: Feelers, but how of a career he.
- 28:26Speaker 5: Had, massive career And for me, because obviously you guys
- 28:29Speaker 5: are in the acting game way, you have a crack
- 28:31Speaker 5: at it, don't you.
- 28:32Speaker 2: Moogie.
- 28:32Speaker 5: You punched him in the face on the set of
- 28:34Speaker 5: Hunt for the Wilder People yeah, man, so for me
- 28:37Speaker 5: and certainly my wife as well. The well, there's three
- 28:40Speaker 5: for me. He did a series called Tuton Karmen like
- 28:44Speaker 5: ten fifteen years ago, where he played the guy who
- 28:46Speaker 5: opened the tomb and found the term of Tuton Carmen,
- 28:49Speaker 5: right right. I love Egyptology, so I watched that and
- 28:51Speaker 5: was oh, wow, Sam Neil, how cool.
- 28:52Speaker 2: Yes.
- 28:53Speaker 5: But the other two, the main two Hunt for the
- 28:55Speaker 5: Wilder People, which is probably, in my eyes, the best
- 28:58Speaker 5: ki We film for me. I think it's just a
- 29:01Speaker 5: fantastic family comedy film. I've watched it so many times
- 29:04Speaker 5: and it's still so great. But also Jurassic park Man
- 29:07Speaker 5: being directed by Spielberg. Yes, one of the biggest franchises
- 29:11Speaker 5: in movie history.
- 29:11Speaker 4: It was huge, massive.
- 29:13Speaker 5: And then when I found out because I watched that
- 29:14Speaker 5: as a kid obviously and then found out that he
- 29:16Speaker 5: was a New Zealander, that blew my mind.
- 29:19Speaker 4: He was one of those actors actually where you would
- 29:21Speaker 4: be watching a movie in and all of a sudden
- 29:23Speaker 4: to be oh my god. As Sam Neil, he just
- 29:25Speaker 4: pumped up all over the place all the time, and
- 29:27Speaker 4: as you were pointing out, Mogi just one of those
- 29:30Speaker 4: actors that which is very rare believe me, that was
- 29:34Speaker 4: constantly in work, and he was constantly in work because
- 29:37Speaker 4: he was.
- 29:37Speaker 2: Brilliant at it. Yeah, exactly. I think easy to work with.
- 29:40Speaker 2: Steven Spielberg has come out and said he was sad
- 29:42Speaker 2: and by the death that Sam was an exceptionally collaborative
- 29:47Speaker 2: actor and easy to work with, and the adored making
- 29:49Speaker 2: the Jurassic movies with him. It's pretty incredible to have
- 29:53Speaker 2: those people that you're working with. I mean, as a
- 29:56Speaker 2: quick role call of actors that he worked with over
- 29:58Speaker 2: his career, Mel Gibson, Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman, Sean Connery,
- 30:04Speaker 2: Alec Baldwin, Laura durn Jeff Goldbloom, James L. Jones, Richard Attenborough,
- 30:09Speaker 2: Harvey kai Tell, Hugh Grant, Charlton Heston, Robert Downey Junior,
- 30:14Speaker 2: Meg Ryan, Laurence Fishburn, Robert Redford, Scarlett Johansson, Robin Williams,
- 30:19Speaker 2: William H. Macy, Kate Blanchett, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvesti Stallone, Chris Hends,
- 30:25Speaker 2: with Mark Rufflo, the list goes on and on. It
- 30:28Speaker 2: basically everyone, every single person that you can imagine is
- 30:31Speaker 2: absolutely huge films. I mean, early on there was the
- 30:36Speaker 2: big one I think was Evil Angels, which was the
- 30:39Speaker 2: story of a dingo stole my baby over in Australia.
- 30:43Speaker 2: The a Meryl Street played Linda Chamberlain and he was
- 30:45Speaker 2: married to his character was married to her. Then there
- 30:48Speaker 2: was Dear Caren, The Hunt for Red October with Sean
- 30:50Speaker 2: Connery with Nicole Kidman, that's right, and Billy Zane a
- 30:55Speaker 2: brilliant film, actually great thriller if you haven't seen it.
- 30:57Speaker 2: The Hunt for Red Octaber was massive Sean Connery, Alec
- 31:00Speaker 2: Baldwin and that Dangerous at Park, the Piano, and it
- 31:04Speaker 2: goes on and on and on. So yeah, I mean
- 31:07Speaker 2: chees to be able to do half of those, a quarter,
- 31:11Speaker 2: a tenth of those films. He must have had over
- 31:13Speaker 2: two hundred credits, so just hugely in demand.
- 31:15Speaker 4: Well, you just reminded me too. His performance in The
- 31:17Speaker 4: Piano was fantastic as well as the brooding sort of partner. Yeah,
- 31:22Speaker 4: that was an amazing performance. Good stuff.
- 31:25Speaker 5: It's sad day feelers. It is.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Alreally said, it's very nice.
- 31:27Speaker 5: Getting to listen to you two actors talk about him
- 31:29Speaker 5: as well. Yeah, because for me, I'm just a person
- 31:31Speaker 5: who sits at home and sees them Ontellic.
- 31:33Speaker 2: You know, yeah, it's slightly odd, isn't it. I stumbled
- 31:36Speaker 2: into acting and then to do to do Hunt for
- 31:39Speaker 2: the Wilder People to find yourself on a set with
- 31:42Speaker 2: Sam Neil. It's yeah, it's slightly it's odd and it
- 31:48Speaker 2: was weird at the time. But what was actually interesting
- 31:50Speaker 2: about that was because my experience of having worked with
- 31:54Speaker 2: Tiger before was and been so inexperienced as an actor
- 31:57Speaker 2: and been throwing in with people that you absolutely the
- 32:00Speaker 2: biggest thing in the country and you're just terrified and
- 32:03Speaker 2: try to pretend like you're not. Yes, So being directed
- 32:05Speaker 2: by Tiger on what is at the end of Vampire
- 32:10Speaker 2: what we do in the Shadows, and his way of
- 32:13Speaker 2: working is that he doesn't really give you direction. If
- 32:15Speaker 2: you're doing fine, he won't talk to you. Yeah, so
- 32:18Speaker 2: your thing is because you're not being talking spoken to him,
- 32:21Speaker 2: being told you're a good boy and that you've done good.
- 32:24Speaker 2: You assume that you've done You've bugged it up, Yes,
- 32:26Speaker 2: of course. Well, then we're doing for the Wilder People
- 32:28Speaker 2: and sitting outside and that's just how he is. If
- 32:30Speaker 2: Tiger needs something, he'll tell. If he doesn't, he won't.
- 32:33Speaker 2: And then to sit outside with Sam Neil and Sam
- 32:35Speaker 2: Neils saying the same thing. He's like, you don't know
- 32:38Speaker 2: if I wasn't sure if I was doing a good
- 32:40Speaker 2: job or not, because Tiger wasn't saying anything, and that

- 36:39Speaker 5: Do you like a sauce man?
- 36:41Speaker 4: No?
- 36:41Speaker 6: Not with bacon and egg mate?
- 36:43Speaker 2: You did the one.

- 36:48Speaker 5: Hey, Paul, Once you've eaten the bacon and egg pie,
- 36:52Speaker 5: do you usually have something for dessert to wash it

- 36:58Speaker 2: Yeah boy?
- 37:00Speaker 5: Yeah, my dad's is at Leamington.
- 37:02Speaker 2: Oh yeah, nice, and then like a blue v or something.

- 37:15Speaker 4: day you too.
- 37:17Speaker 2: You're good on you, Paul. Paul's going to have a
- 37:19Speaker 2: great day, man, I can tell yeah totally. You know
- 37:21Speaker 2: what just between us?
- 37:23Speaker 4: Yeah, actually it's all g if.
- 37:26Speaker 2: I sort of grabbed a few Dad's.
- 37:29Speaker 4: Pies on my way out today, you know, and maybe
- 37:32Speaker 4: you had them for dinner, that's all ga.
- 37:34Speaker 5: So you're you gonna steal the pies.
- 37:37Speaker 2: For dinner? What about the chips? You normally steal chips?
- 37:40Speaker 2: You go, you're switching that up to pie.
- 37:41Speaker 4: Well, funnily enough, ogie About five minutes ago, I was thinking,
- 37:45Speaker 4: is it too early for chips?
- 37:47Speaker 2: Yes, it is.
- 37:48Speaker 5: It's not even eight o'clock.
- 37:50Speaker 2: I mean, but you were all a.
- 37:51Speaker 4: Bit pickash, aren't we? Feelers?
- 37:52Speaker 5: Well, I brought I've brought Bricky.
- 37:55Speaker 2: I actually think I'm going to fire up there for
- 37:57Speaker 2: you because I'm assuming we've got billions of this was
- 38:00Speaker 2: my point. Yeah, yeah, let's talk into it.
- 38:04Speaker 5: The best part is fellas Dad's Pies proudly bakes award
- 38:07Speaker 5: winning pies for pile loving New Zealanders have heard Dad's Pie.
- 38:10Speaker 5: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, that's so great.
- 38:13Speaker 1: The hold Aking Big Show with Jason Mike and Kezy.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Tune in week days at four on radio.
- 38:18Speaker 2: Hold I can.
- 38:19Speaker 4: I took monkeys there on the Big show Breakfast this
- 38:21Speaker 4: Tuesday morning. The time is exactly seven forty eight. We're
- 38:25Speaker 4: talking about what you steal from work.
- 38:27Speaker 5: Yeah, if you steal anything from work three four eight
- 38:30Speaker 5: three text us, let us know what it is, one
- 38:31Speaker 5: hundred percent anonymous, and you'll get a prize.
- 38:33Speaker 4: Yeah, great stuff which will probably steal to send to you.
- 38:37Speaker 5: We'll go on the draw for a prize which Jason
- 38:39Speaker 5: and Steel.
- 38:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 38:40Speaker 4: Now, Liison Fellas, you'll be aware of the fact that
- 38:43Speaker 4: I've often lamented that we don't get sent stuff anymore
- 38:47Speaker 4: during the drive show. You know, there was a time
- 38:49Speaker 4: in radio where you know, people would send you stuff
- 38:52Speaker 4: because they want you to mention it on the radio.
- 38:54Speaker 4: You know, get a free plug type thing. You That's
- 38:57Speaker 4: not happening anymore.
- 38:58Speaker 2: I've noticed.
- 38:59Speaker 4: But since I've been doing Breakfast, I walk in here
- 39:01Speaker 4: every day and what I've noticed is the table out
- 39:04Speaker 4: there is absolutely laden with stuff that's been sent to
- 39:10Speaker 4: the Breakfast Fellers. Now my argument is this, since technically
- 39:14Speaker 4: we are doing Breakfast at the moment, and even though
- 39:18Speaker 4: it's addressed to Menigah and Jerry, is it fine that
- 39:22Speaker 4: we steal it?
- 39:23Speaker 2: Yeah, that's tricky. It's tricky when I can see you
- 39:26Speaker 2: think of the big thing I guess is they're not
- 39:28Speaker 2: going to know what's been sent in for them because
- 39:30Speaker 2: oftentimes these things come in and it's just somebody's just
- 39:33Speaker 2: doing it. I'm thinking, O, these guys would appreciate it,
- 39:36Speaker 2: so it's not like they know that it's going to
- 39:37Speaker 2: be coming. So you know, if tree falls in the
- 39:40Speaker 2: woods and no one's there to hear it, can we
- 39:42Speaker 2: steal all this shit? Yes? Exactly. My feeling is yes,
- 39:46Speaker 2: that's my find The other problem that you have, though,
- 39:48Speaker 2: of course, is the questions do you actually want it?
- 39:51Speaker 2: Because you think you want it because it's free, and
- 39:53Speaker 2: then you look at it and you go, oh, this
- 39:54Speaker 2: is just a bunch of old tat.
- 39:55Speaker 5: Yeah. The other way I justify it, fellas, not justify it,
- 40:00Speaker 5: potentially justify it is you know, does Jerry need free
- 40:03Speaker 5: stuff that well? Yes, you know what I mean, he
- 40:06Speaker 5: probably owns the factory that made all that free stuff.
- 40:08Speaker 5: It's true, so true, you know he.
- 40:10Speaker 4: Doesn't care exactly two very good points. Yeah, So me
- 40:15Speaker 4: thinking what Jay, Well, I'm thinking we just I mean,
- 40:18Speaker 4: don't even want to phrase it as stealing because, as
- 40:21Speaker 4: you say, they will never know about it.
- 40:23Speaker 2: That's right.
- 40:23Speaker 4: Jerry's is rich airs, so I'm just taking it off
- 40:27Speaker 4: their hands, unbeknownst to them.
- 40:29Speaker 5: And also to make you feel better, heaps, people are
- 40:32Speaker 5: stealing stuff three four eight three it's lighting up, yes,
- 40:35Speaker 5: good fellers. I steal drinks, doormats and polishing cloth. I
- 40:41Speaker 5: frequently steal milk and sugar. Yeah, well those.
- 40:44Speaker 2: Sort of those are all sort of cornerstones of your
- 40:48Speaker 2: home life. I used to when I was on the
- 40:50Speaker 2: unemployment benefit. Yes, times are tough. This is about thirty
- 40:54Speaker 2: years ago. They I used to pop over to the
- 40:56Speaker 2: McDonald's there and I would steal the tomato sauce, the salt,
- 40:59Speaker 2: the paper, the napkins going to the toilet, get this
- 41:03Speaker 2: toilet rolls and the toilet brush. Yeah why the bush well,
- 41:07Speaker 2: not a toilet brush because I was a I didn't
- 41:08Speaker 2: clean the toilets.
- 41:09Speaker 5: And also, once you're stilen one, you don't need to
- 41:11Speaker 5: keep stealing it.
- 41:12Speaker 4: I like, Hm Mogi was on the doll for a
- 41:15Speaker 4: period of time too. And you know, and my when
- 41:19Speaker 4: my family was very young and we were completely broke.
- 41:22Speaker 4: Toilet paper was a biggie for us, right.
- 41:24Speaker 2: Steal a lot of toilet Why would you spend money
- 41:26Speaker 2: on that when it's free?
- 41:27Speaker 4: Ecdonald exactly. The other thing I used to gather somehow
- 41:31Speaker 4: was pins. I always had a lot of pins.
- 41:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 41:35Speaker 5: Someone here used to be a delivery driver. Used to
- 41:37Speaker 5: always steal a burger or a drink and then blame
- 41:39Speaker 5: the restaurant. So there's someone here is stealing diesel from work.
- 41:44Speaker 2: Oh yeah, it's good.
- 41:46Speaker 5: So what are you thinking, Jays?
- 41:47Speaker 2: You're going to go for it?
- 41:47Speaker 4: Yeah, totally, you steal it. I mean you guys are
- 41:50Speaker 4: with me, aren'tie a.
- 41:52Speaker 2: Bunch of stuff that's out there and decide whether you
- 41:54Speaker 2: should steal it or not.
- 41:55Speaker 4: Okay that. In the meantime, here's a c DC.
- 42:02Speaker 1: The Whole Archy Big Show with Jason, Mike and Keyzy.
- 42:05Speaker 1: Tune in week days at four on Radio Hodarkey.
- 42:07Speaker 4: Yes, indeed, welcome back in Massive Bagbones. Have you surviving
- 42:11Speaker 4: your Tuesday morning? You're listening to the Big Show Breakfast
- 42:15Speaker 4: brought to.
- 42:15Speaker 5: You by Bunning's Trade Build Big Rewards with new power
- 42:20Speaker 5: Pass pro Rewards by Bunnings Great Stuff.
- 42:24Speaker 4: Now listen for those that are interested the West Indies
- 42:28Speaker 4: currently one hundred and eight for five. The picture is
- 42:33Speaker 4: absolutely turning a mile and I don't think I've ever
- 42:37Speaker 4: seen New Zealand play four Spinners before.
- 42:40Speaker 2: Yeah, it's quite unbelievable. Yeah, and it's a it's a classic.
- 42:45Speaker 2: Well this is this is a series being played in
- 42:47Speaker 2: the West Indies, isn't it, Jase. It's one of those
- 42:50Speaker 2: series where, well it's on so we'll watch it, yes,
- 42:54Speaker 2: But outside.
- 42:54Speaker 4: Of that, Yeah, I don't really really care at all.
- 42:58Speaker 5: The weird thing for me is it's on air. Is
- 43:01Speaker 5: that normal?
- 43:02Speaker 2: Well, I think because there'll be some kind of a
- 43:04Speaker 2: deal that's come out of coming out of the West Indys.
- 43:08Speaker 2: But you'll find that Sky probably doesn't want to pay
- 43:11Speaker 2: for it. Yeah, fair enough, because they have so many
- 43:13Speaker 2: of these sort of bilateral series and.
- 43:15Speaker 5: They're just like, you know, no one cares on Sky,
- 43:19Speaker 5: I guess. So it's a win win, Yes it is.
- 43:21Speaker 4: Hey, Now listen, coming up next, we're going to be
- 43:24Speaker 4: speaking to All Black and Tom Lennett Brown.
- 43:27Speaker 2: But in the meantime, here's she Hap.
- 43:29Speaker 1: The Hohodiching Big Show with Jason, Mike and Keyzy. Tune
- 43:32Speaker 1: in week days at four on radio hod.
- 43:34Speaker 4: Ikey is indeed she had there on the Big Show
- 43:37Speaker 4: Breakfast this Tuesday morning. The time is nine minutes past
- 43:41Speaker 4: eight o'clock, and we were just talking about stuff we
- 43:43Speaker 4: steal from work. Now I've been wrongly accused of.
- 43:47Speaker 2: Being a bit of a thief around the workplace.
- 43:49Speaker 4: Yes, I am fond of your odd packet of chippies.
- 43:53Speaker 5: You see them every single day.
- 43:55Speaker 4: But I but I think that's just been sort of
- 43:57Speaker 4: blown all out of proportion.
- 43:59Speaker 2: Yeah, stealing them, yeah, I mean you steal them every
- 44:03Speaker 2: single day we bought it out.
- 44:04Speaker 5: Yeah, and from flavor to you steal their shapes.
- 44:06Speaker 2: Oh yeah. And I'm a bad one for that. But
- 44:09Speaker 2: what am I meant to do the Yeah, well exactly.
- 44:11Speaker 4: I mean, if there's really yummy food longer and I'm
- 44:14Speaker 4: just gonna eat it.
- 44:14Speaker 5: Yeah, would you steal a loaf of bread to steal
- 44:16Speaker 5: it to feed your family?
- 44:17Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 44:18Speaker 5: It's that sort of thing.
- 44:19Speaker 2: Yeah, that's right, totally yes.
- 44:21Speaker 4: And I was posing the question because we don't get
- 44:23Speaker 4: sent stuff when we're doing the drive show, but I've
- 44:26Speaker 4: noticed that the Breakfast boys get sent a plethora of items,
- 44:29Speaker 4: and I thought, well, technically speaking, here we're doing the
- 44:33Speaker 4: breakfast show. That should be our stuff.
- 44:35Speaker 5: I would agree with you if it said breakfast show
- 44:38Speaker 5: on the items, but it says very specifically Maniah and Jerry.
- 44:41Speaker 2: Yeah, but if they weren't doing the breakfast show, they
- 44:43Speaker 2: wouldn't be getting I wouldn't be getting it. And it
- 44:46Speaker 2: also says mourning on this one. So I think they're
- 44:49Speaker 2: getting it because they're doing breakfast you know.
- 44:51Speaker 4: You see and what you can do because it does
- 44:54Speaker 4: say to this one, for example, to Maniah, just wrap
- 44:56Speaker 4: that tag off you see.
- 44:58Speaker 5: Oh wow, yeah, and you've ripped the bags.
- 45:01Speaker 4: It's not on there anymore, so it never existed.
- 45:04Speaker 5: You've damaged the property.
- 45:06Speaker 2: But the other part of this jas of course, is
- 45:08Speaker 2: you know, you see free stuff, you think you want it,
- 45:12Speaker 2: but when you have upon closer inspection, you might find
- 45:14Speaker 2: out that you really don't want to. For example, there's
- 45:16Speaker 2: a couple of bags here from a food delivery service.
- 45:19Speaker 2: It's as far as I'll go, that's all the mention
- 45:21Speaker 2: they're going to get, because I've seen us nothing. Yes,
- 45:23Speaker 2: there's one for Jurumi is outspelled here and one over
- 45:27Speaker 2: there for the nine. Now, if you go through the box,
- 45:30Speaker 2: there's a massive box of thirty serves of some kind
- 45:35Speaker 2: of packet larte. Yum, No, so I would I wouldn't
- 45:40Speaker 2: bother stealing that.
- 45:41Speaker 4: Yeah, I've got cappuccino in my one there. Now, this
- 45:45Speaker 4: is something that I think could be handy for the
- 45:47Speaker 4: big show because I've noticed that Kezy since we've been
- 45:51Speaker 4: doing breakfast, has got very droopy eyed. And I've got
- 45:55Speaker 4: here a hydra bomb Kezy, I sheep mask, rejuice eyebags
- 46:01Speaker 4: and reduce dark circles. I'll check that over to you.
- 46:04Speaker 4: You can just slather that all over yourself because you're
- 46:07Speaker 4: looking sharking at the moment.
- 46:10Speaker 2: There's also a twin peck of socks.
- 46:13Speaker 4: Yeah I like those.
- 46:14Speaker 2: Yeah, well you say that, but then they're ten backs.
- 46:17Speaker 2: That's good, the ten backs, which means they're made out
- 46:19Speaker 2: of not natural fibers. Jason, I worry about your feet
- 46:22Speaker 2: not breathing because they reek absolutely reek when you come
- 46:25Speaker 2: in here and you unleash the hound.
- 46:28Speaker 4: Well, fortunately though, on that front, there's also a recks
- 46:33Speaker 4: owner Advanced Protection Sports. So if I just squirt a
- 46:37Speaker 4: bit of that on there on the shoes, sweet airs, right,
- 46:42Speaker 4: So I'll.
- 46:42Speaker 5: Be keeping that okay. So, and what was that you
- 46:45Speaker 5: brought a four pack of something in?
- 46:47Speaker 6: What was that?
- 46:47Speaker 2: Yeah? What's it? Four peck you got over the jizbot.
- 46:50Speaker 4: We've got easy missed spray. Wait and forget shower witch.
- 46:56Speaker 4: Now I know you'll be needing some of that two
- 46:59Speaker 4: keys because why is that again?
- 47:01Speaker 2: Wow? Just because of the filth that happens in your shower.
- 47:04Speaker 4: You'll need to squirt that.
- 47:05Speaker 2: Around app.
- 47:08Speaker 4: Today this is a new Please tell me about the no, no, look,
- 47:10Speaker 4: I don't want to get into the details. It's breakfast time, Geezy.
- 47:13Speaker 4: People are probably huming into their porridge. They don't want
- 47:16Speaker 4: to know about your shower filth.
- 47:17Speaker 5: Good stuff. All right, Well, we're gonna go to a
- 47:19Speaker 5: tune and hopefully when we get back, a chat with
- 47:23Speaker 5: someone from the All Blacks.
- 47:25Speaker 2: And also just to know what you've been stealing from
- 47:28Speaker 2: work you're sick the.
- 47:30Speaker 1: Whole aching Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy. Tune
- 47:33Speaker 1: in week days at four on Radio hod Iks.
- 47:35Speaker 4: Indeed, the Red Chili Peppers here on the Big Show.
- 47:40Speaker 4: Breakfast this Tuesday morning. The time sixteen minutes past eight o'clock,
- 47:45Speaker 4: and we've got All Black, All Black, Anton Lennard Brown
- 47:48Speaker 4: on the phone, get a anton.
- 47:50Speaker 6: How's life your good leads have you going on? Yeah?
- 47:54Speaker 2: Very good, thanks mate.
- 47:55Speaker 4: Now it's the start of a new regime, isn't it
- 47:58Speaker 4: with old Dave any there? I know you've had some
- 48:01Speaker 4: experience with him in the past. Two from two for
- 48:05Speaker 4: you fellows, so a good start. But I've got the
- 48:08Speaker 4: feeling and toon. There's stuff that you need.
- 48:10Speaker 6: To work on, yeah and bang on there obviously years
- 48:17Speaker 6: we got to get well. We've only been together for
- 48:19Speaker 6: a couple of weeks now, so yeah, combinations and during
- 48:24Speaker 6: the game plan and stuff. Yeah, there's there's planning to
- 48:27Speaker 6: work on. But there's been some good stuff as well.
- 48:30Speaker 5: Antonino le Brown keazy here mate, I hope you were
- 48:33Speaker 5: this morning. You've played for Dave Rennie for Bloody Ages man.
- 48:36Speaker 5: You played with him, you know, at the Chiefs for
- 48:37Speaker 5: a long time over in Japan as well with the
- 48:40Speaker 5: Kobelco Steelers. He's involved with that side as well. So
- 48:43Speaker 5: when he was chosen to be the next All Black coach,
- 48:45Speaker 5: were you absolutely stoked?
- 48:49Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 48:49Speaker 6: I guess it worked out all right. It was a
- 48:52Speaker 6: funny one because I sort of went over topan to
- 48:55Speaker 6: get away from rugby and get away from it all
- 48:57Speaker 6: and then midway through the season, your head coach in
- 49:01Speaker 6: Japan becomes all that's coach.
- 49:02Speaker 2: So you were like, sweet, I'm sad for five years.
- 49:08Speaker 6: Yeah, well you could say that or could go the
- 49:11Speaker 6: other way.
- 49:12Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, he's been watching your play in Japan. You
- 49:14Speaker 5: might have to pull your bootstraps up a week. But
- 49:16Speaker 5: that's not saying does making anything I had.
- 49:19Speaker 6: I had to have less bedos and less ramons, which
- 49:22Speaker 6: was unfortunate.
- 49:23Speaker 4: But yeah, well, you know, having said that, I mean,
- 49:26Speaker 4: what are Dave renny? Because there will be people out
- 49:28Speaker 4: there that don't know much about him. What are his qualities?
- 49:31Speaker 2: Mate?
- 49:31Speaker 4: Because he because that second half of the second half
- 49:34Speaker 4: there against Italy, he was effin and Jeffin in the
- 49:36Speaker 4: box there he wasn't happy.
- 49:39Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, he's he sets really high standards. He knows
- 49:44Speaker 6: the game like through, you know, out and out, he
- 49:47Speaker 6: knows every detail of the game. And he's just a
- 49:50Speaker 6: great person like himself. And then he gets great people
- 49:55Speaker 6: around him who are who are really good at what
- 49:57Speaker 6: they do. So you know, I always remember saying when
- 50:00Speaker 6: I sat at the Chiefs, you know, he just wants
- 50:02Speaker 6: hard work and good buggers, and that's what I feel
- 50:04Speaker 6: like we've got on this group. You know, we understand
- 50:09Speaker 6: we're you know, the standard we need to be it
- 50:11Speaker 6: and that's probably why you see frustration there, because we
- 50:15Speaker 6: know we can be so much better. But amongst it
- 50:17Speaker 6: there's some really good stuff.
- 50:18Speaker 2: You've just got to go easy on yourself and to man,
- 50:21Speaker 2: it's not going to happen overnight. Brother, You'll get there. Yeah,
- 50:26Speaker 2: and it sounds like he's all about connection. I remember
- 50:28Speaker 2: seeing something with Liam Messon where he was talking about
- 50:31Speaker 2: you guys having to hit shrike or find your way
- 50:34Speaker 2: somewhere to get some community work done, and Liam jumped
- 50:38Speaker 2: on Twitter and said, does anyone want to come and
- 50:42Speaker 2: pick me? And Sonny Bill Williams up. We're heading over
- 50:44Speaker 2: to x y Z. And then the car turned up
- 50:47Speaker 2: and Sonny Bill wasn't there. It was just Lia Messim
- 50:49Speaker 2: trying to get a free ride and using Sonny Bill
- 50:51Speaker 2: as the bait. Is that a big thing for him?
- 50:54Speaker 2: It's not just about the team, it's not just what
- 50:56Speaker 2: happens on the picture and within the organization. It's about
- 50:59Speaker 2: connection to the fans in the community.
- 51:02Speaker 6: Yeah, for sure, you know he understands it really well.
- 51:05Speaker 6: He understands how important you know, the stands and community
- 51:08Speaker 6: are and then the connection amongst the players as well.
- 51:12Speaker 6: You know, obviously playing the games a big part of
- 51:15Speaker 6: what we do, but it's only one part. You've got
- 51:17Speaker 6: to grow the connection and you've got to be really
- 51:19Speaker 6: clear of who you're playing for. And that's what he
- 51:21Speaker 6: does well.
- 51:22Speaker 5: Anton Lettard Brown, you know you've been around the All
- 51:25Speaker 5: Black squad for quite a while now. Some of these
- 51:27Speaker 5: young fellas that are coming through that are you know,
- 51:29Speaker 5: fans are getting very excited to watch. Are there some
- 51:32Speaker 5: that you see coming through that excite you as a player?
- 51:36Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 51:37Speaker 6: I think no, that is plenty of young talent coming through.
- 51:40Speaker 2: Obviously.
- 51:41Speaker 6: Well I don't know he can call him young now,
- 51:43Speaker 6: but Camero Reguard C nine, Yeah, absolutely, you know, and
- 51:49Speaker 6: Reuben Love's been looking at him. Tim Josh Morby, he's
- 51:52Speaker 6: not that young, but he was a seal fishal off
- 51:54Speaker 6: the bench last week. And yeah, some of our young
- 51:57Speaker 6: forwards coming through as well. It's good to see it.
- 52:00Speaker 6: It's funny when I first started playing rugby, you know,
- 52:05Speaker 6: it was not quite as professional as it is now,
- 52:08Speaker 6: so you get these young kids who were who were
- 52:10Speaker 6: really you know, top notch professionals coming through and you
- 52:13Speaker 6: can see see what they can do on the field.
- 52:16Speaker 2: It's pretty cool, An John.
- 52:18Speaker 4: Finally, mate, you've got the Irish this weekend. Bloody tough
- 52:21Speaker 4: side the Irish. The last sort of three or four years,
- 52:24Speaker 4: they've been something special. That's going to be a real
- 52:27Speaker 4: test for you fellas.
- 52:29Speaker 6: Yeah, for sure, we know a massive one ahead of us,
- 52:33Speaker 6: but I think in our focus in these first few weeks,
- 52:36Speaker 6: it's just on on our south and in us getting better. No,
- 52:41Speaker 6: at our best, we can be the best in the world.
- 52:44Speaker 6: So that's what it's sort of focusing on. So yeah,
- 52:48Speaker 6: and we look forward to playing in this weekend.
- 52:50Speaker 5: Yeah, that game happening at Eden Park. Anton Letar Brown.
- 52:53Speaker 5: Just before I let you go, mate, I'm going to
- 52:55Speaker 5: Japan later in the year, and obviously you spent a
- 52:57Speaker 5: bit of time over there. What's what's the best tie
- 53:00Speaker 5: for Rahmen to order?
- 53:02Speaker 6: I'd go Tom Kotsu Ramond Tom.
- 53:07Speaker 2: Beautiful. Do you know what that is?
- 53:09Speaker 4: Jakes, Yeah, totally I do.
- 53:10Speaker 6: Man.
- 53:11Speaker 4: Hi, Anton Lennet Brown, We appreciate your time this morning, mate,
- 53:15Speaker 4: Go well this weekend.
- 53:18Speaker 2: Thanks mate. One of the great all blocks the Jason.
- 53:23Speaker 5: Yeah, go back to when you said the name wrong.
- 53:27Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm glad you brought that up bagas you know, Jesus,
- 53:31Speaker 4: it happens.
- 53:33Speaker 1: The Hiarchy Big Show week days from four on Radio Hidarchy.
- 53:41Speaker 2: Sporting Barrens.

- 53:48Speaker 9: Thanks to Export Ultra. The beer for here, thanks Expert Ultra.
- 53:54Speaker 9: The black Cap Spin Bowl is a running rampant in
- 53:57Speaker 9: the second One Day Cricket International against the West Indies
- 53:59Speaker 9: and Michael Bracewell and Mitchell Satner eliminated both openers.
- 54:04Speaker 2: This what are we? One?
- 54:06Speaker 10: Twenty nine for seven in the thirtieth over.
- 54:09Speaker 2: JOm Bombue thirty first over Jim thirty first, zero.
- 54:16Speaker 9: Zero up to one as oh yes, yeah, its add
- 54:19Speaker 9: one up, there we go, thirty one overs, there we go.
- 54:23Speaker 2: Woom.
- 54:24Speaker 9: It's actually just got there. It's one hundred and thirty
- 54:27Speaker 9: for seven now overs thirty one.
- 54:31Speaker 5: So we're doing a commentary.
- 54:32Speaker 9: Yeah, I get all day here, Okay, I'll move on
- 54:36Speaker 9: to the next one. New Zealand's hopes of a long
- 54:38Speaker 9: awaited Under twenty World Rugby Championship title of Rover after
- 54:42Speaker 9: losing to France twenty six twenty two in the semi
- 54:45Speaker 9: finals in Georgia. Jum Blobue MMA star Connor McGregor insists
- 54:51Speaker 9: he'll fight again in the UFC despite needing surgery after
- 54:55Speaker 9: a first round loss to Max Holloway. On Sunday, MacGregor
- 54:59Speaker 9: turns thirty Today.
- 55:03Speaker 2: Sport with Rod.
- 55:05Speaker 9: I've got a sting now, okay, I actually do have
- 55:08Speaker 9: a women's sports I should hope.
- 55:10Speaker 11: So finally, such a big deal, make an issue continuing
- 55:17Speaker 11: to admit their achievements from the sports news brand, and
- 55:20Speaker 11: I for one am not impressed.
- 55:21Speaker 2: Let's hear it.
- 55:23Speaker 10: Princess Kate has presented the Royal Chair.
- 55:26Speaker 4: It's this woman's day chat.
- 55:29Speaker 2: No, let me get to it.
- 55:31Speaker 9: She has presented the Champion Trophy to Yarnick Sinner in
- 55:34Speaker 9: the men's singles final at Wimbledon.
- 55:37Speaker 4: So your woman's sport is the princess presenting an award
- 55:43Speaker 4: to a male athlete.
- 55:44Speaker 5: That's right, but I suppose it is women's sport.
- 55:47Speaker 2: You're a shocking bastard. Bread good work, fella.
- 55:52Speaker 1: The hold Aking Big Show with Jon, Mike and Kezy
- 55:55Speaker 1: tune in week days at four on Radio.
- 55:57Speaker 2: Hold Aking comes.
- 56:00Speaker 4: Roses there on the Big Show Breakfast this Tuesday morning.
- 56:04Speaker 4: The time is eight forty eight currently the Western he's
- 56:07Speaker 4: one thirty seven for eight. For those that are interested, fellas,
- 56:11Speaker 4: there was something that I wanted to ask you, And
- 56:14Speaker 4: it's something that I do all the time, and I
- 56:16Speaker 4: think most of us do. It's a pretty normal thing,
- 56:19Speaker 4: and that is when you're about to meet up with
- 56:21Speaker 4: someone and or a group of people, do you before
- 56:26Speaker 4: you do that, rehearse your conversation, Like, for example, today
- 56:31Speaker 4: when I'm walking in the CBD. She's cold and went
- 56:35Speaker 4: out there, and I'm walking along and I'll out loud
- 56:39Speaker 4: be talking to myself saying, oh, good eight fellows, how
- 56:42Speaker 4: are you going?
- 56:43Speaker 11: Really you're rehearsing because I know that I'm meeting up
- 56:46Speaker 11: with you or Jesus, I tell you what, fellows had
- 56:49Speaker 11: a shocker last night?
- 56:52Speaker 2: Really you do that even coming to meet up, even
- 56:54Speaker 2: coming to meet you guys, So do.
- 56:55Speaker 5: You practice, because most days you come in a whoor
- 56:58Speaker 5: of a mood? Do you practice coming in of them?
- 57:00Speaker 4: Sometimes I'll go, this is the thing about rehearsing it
- 57:03Speaker 4: you go, oh, that's just all two g it's all
- 57:05Speaker 4: too good, you know. And sometimes I'd be like, yeah, whatever, keysy, yeah,
- 57:10Speaker 4: you know, and just sort of getting a feel for it.
- 57:12Speaker 4: But do you in all seriousness do you rehearse when
- 57:16Speaker 4: you've got an upcoming, you know, meeting with people.
- 57:20Speaker 2: Do you rehearse what you say? No, No, I don't,
- 57:24Speaker 2: and I've never heard of it. I don't and I've
- 57:26Speaker 2: never heard of it, and I'd be worried about my
- 57:29Speaker 2: mental health. That's uh, that's considering. So you're walking through
- 57:32Speaker 2: the CBD all hours of the morning talking to yourself, yes,
- 57:36Speaker 2: saying good a fellows, good a fellows, your mad dog?
- 57:39Speaker 2: You know.
- 57:39Speaker 4: For example, I mean, I'll finish the show of Day
- 57:41Speaker 4: and I'll be walking through the CBD there and I'll
- 57:44Speaker 4: be like, oh, good eight darling. Oh Kesey was of
- 57:47Speaker 4: the mood today, you know what I mean? Just and
- 57:49Speaker 4: she'll be like oh, and then I'll protict what she's
- 57:51Speaker 4: gonna say. Okay, yeah, I reckon.
- 57:55Speaker 5: So when you're talking to the fellas on the way into.
- 57:57Speaker 4: Work, yes, it's not always the fellows, but general ye say,
- 58:00Speaker 4: you know.
- 58:01Speaker 5: Other fellas over there? What do you mean are the
- 58:05Speaker 5: fellas that you're talking to? Are they over there?
- 58:06Speaker 7: No?
- 58:07Speaker 5: Right, So I'm literally in crow beautiful mind situation.
- 58:11Speaker 4: I'm literally walking along you know, I haven't seen him
- 58:14Speaker 4: mate for a long time, you know, And I'll go
- 58:16Speaker 4: and I'm meeting him at one for launch, and I'll
- 58:18Speaker 4: be like, oh, good mate, haven't seen you for a while.
- 58:21Speaker 2: You're saying this out loud.
- 58:22Speaker 4: Saying it out loud. Yeah, I mean we all do
- 58:24Speaker 4: that though, right Na.
- 58:25Speaker 5: My wife will quite often go oh, like before she
- 58:28Speaker 5: calls someone, she'll go, okay, so I'm going to call him,
- 58:30Speaker 5: say hey, I'm calling in about blah blah blah, just
- 58:32Speaker 5: to get it such nice and concise in her head. Yes,
- 58:35Speaker 5: that's the only thing even vaguely similar to.
- 58:37Speaker 4: This, right, because I don't want to come in and
- 58:39Speaker 4: just immediately see the fellas and be stumbling all over
- 58:41Speaker 4: my words and stuff like that. I want you to go,
- 58:44Speaker 4: hoy jay, he's here, he's on.
- 58:46Speaker 2: Well, I also see that you when you sort of
- 58:49Speaker 2: wandering around in the studio here when we've got a
- 58:51Speaker 2: couple of tunes on and keys has given us the
- 58:53Speaker 2: cold shoulder, you're sort of be walking around, sort of
- 58:56Speaker 2: staggering around yan and to yourself, muttering to yourself. Everyone
- 59:00Speaker 2: does that, What is that? What are you doing when
- 59:02Speaker 2: you're doing that? What are you talking about? Because if
- 59:04Speaker 2: you're talking about you know, sort of coming into work
- 59:08Speaker 2: and you know, laying us all out or something like that.
- 59:10Speaker 2: You know, I've got some issues, Jase. I feel it
- 59:13Speaker 2: is because of what it feels like, because we've got
- 59:14Speaker 2: a Golumn Sniegel situation where you've got the precious ring.
- 59:19Speaker 2: We're trying to steal the ring off you, and you're
- 59:21Speaker 2: going to strangle us and and and dunk us in
- 59:23Speaker 2: the river, and obviously the various physical similarities. Well, but
- 59:27Speaker 2: in the studio it's different though, because I'm already here.
- 59:30Speaker 2: What are you talking about?
- 59:31Speaker 4: So what I'm talking about is much lower pitch. It's
- 59:34Speaker 4: how you're going.
- 59:34Speaker 2: You're doing all right there, You're right, jeez, the show's
- 59:37Speaker 2: going well. Fields.
- 59:38Speaker 4: And then I'll come back and I'll sit down and
- 59:40Speaker 4: I go, oh, Jesus, show's going well.
- 59:42Speaker 2: Fielmals right.
- 59:44Speaker 5: And then I'll say something and do you go, oh,
- 59:46Speaker 5: that wasn't what I thought he'd say.
- 59:47Speaker 4: Yeah, Yeah, sometimes they do and I go, oh, that's
- 59:49Speaker 4: when I go to the keysies in a horror of
- 59:51Speaker 4: the mood sort of thing. Yeah, but I think it
- 59:53Speaker 4: is quite common, right.
- 59:54Speaker 2: Sure, it's not common at all. Pugs.
- 59:58Speaker 7: Do you do it?
- 59:59Speaker 2: No, Puss. So you're the only one that I know
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: that does it. And this is the first time, at
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: forty nine years old, that I've even heard of this happening.
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: I've seen it on the street, but I never had
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: one of them say to me, this is normal, right, Maggie,
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: because they knew even though they were natters, that they
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: were natters.
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: Does that clear?
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: And I mean that in a politically correct way.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: The Hurdarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio Hod.
- 1:00:25Speaker 4: Yes, indeed, Bush there this Tuesday morning. The time is
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: exactly eight point fifty nine and you're listening to the
- 1:00:32Speaker 4: Big Show Breakfast.
- 1:00:36Speaker 5: What's on the news with me Jeezy Fellas. This news
- 1:00:44Speaker 5: comes from Cypress. Do you know where Cypress is?
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: Yeah, Cypress Hell. I know where Cypress Hell is?
- 1:00:50Speaker 5: Were Cypress Hell, Los Angeles? Yeah, that's the rap group
- 1:00:54Speaker 5: No Cypress the place?
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:00:58Speaker 5: So there was a teenager named la lad skuridin thirteen.
- 1:01:04Speaker 5: He was at home playing video games on his computer,
- 1:01:07Speaker 5: which sound like.
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: Shut up, I'm telling you, Joseph Man, you don't need
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: to tell me the mental health.
- 1:01:27Speaker 5: While he was playing video games on his computer. While
- 1:01:34Speaker 5: he was playing video games on his computer, Lightning struck
- 1:01:37Speaker 5: his home, and the lightning traveled through all of the This.
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: Guy ends up being the flash. I'm going to be
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: human up with super powers of any kind. Yea, I'm
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: telling you, I'm dragging you out of the studio. The
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: lightning striking his hand. Did that release him into the
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: next level?
- 1:01:56Speaker 5: It released him into the next level? As they say
- 1:01:58Speaker 5: in video game World. No, it didn't release him into
- 1:02:01Speaker 5: the next level. What happened?
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: I mean released not released him, but it got him.
- 1:02:08Speaker 5: It's struck his house. Yeah, they've gone to the next level.
- 1:02:10Speaker 5: Al right, maybeoo stoosh. It traveled through the electrical cables
- 1:02:19Speaker 5: and that onto his desk. That he was because he
- 1:02:21Speaker 5: was doting a PC and his disc was made out
- 1:02:23Speaker 5: of metal, and his arm was resting on his desk
- 1:02:26Speaker 5: while he's playing PC and there's one big conduit from
- 1:02:29Speaker 5: the lightning through everything through the disk to him. He
- 1:02:32Speaker 5: got struck by lightning for playing video games whilst in
- 1:02:35Speaker 5: a lightning storm. Good staff, And it's a real possibility
- 1:02:39Speaker 5: that it could happen.
- 1:02:51Speaker 4: So did he like, you know, did that sort of
- 1:02:55Speaker 4: refillers emma or something?
- 1:02:58Speaker 6: Oh?
- 1:03:01Speaker 5: Reload?
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:03:02Speaker 4: Did he reload? Did he get the magic Saber, the
- 1:03:07Speaker 4: magic Saber.
- 1:03:08Speaker 5: How do you know about the magic Saber. It's not
- 1:03:10Speaker 5: a real thing.
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: That's a good story, that's just happening of the news.
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: How easy nowdays?
- 1:03:17Speaker 5: Did I know? He's not He's fine. He lives with
- 1:03:22Speaker 5: his mum and Hardley. It'says here.
- 1:03:24Speaker 4: Here's the Black Keys.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: The Hurdichy Big Show with Jason, Mike and Keysey. Tune
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: in week days at four on Radio Hodarkey.
- 1:03:33Speaker 4: Rage against the Machine. There on the Big Show Breakfast
- 1:03:36Speaker 4: this Tuesday morning. But right now it's time for What's
- 1:03:41Speaker 4: on the Telly with Mike Minogue.
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: Yeah, last night the news of Samuel's passing came through
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: and so that sort of derailed any TV viewing ideas
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: that I had, But I did end up watching. I
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: did go on to Netflix and just search sam Neil's name,
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: because you can do that, Jason, you could just see
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: all the things that are on there that have got
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: sam neillen. Then about this man.
- 1:04:12Speaker 4: Yeah, wow, it's a pretty good trick.
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: So I've gone on there and there is a whole
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: bunch of stuff on there which I'll be hooking into tonight.
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: Particularly want to see the earlier stuff. But I couldn't
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: find what I was looking for. And I was looking
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: for this on the Apple Store as well, was Sleeping Dogs.
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: I can't find that one anyway, Dogs New Zealand film.
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: He was thirty years old when he made it, I
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: think in nineteen seventy seven off the top of my head,
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: which is probably wrong. And yeah, he made that and
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: that was sort of the thing that got him sady.
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: He was thirty years old. There was his first feature film.
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: That was the one he did with Ian Mune as
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: we discussed on the podcast in the Roger Donald, who
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: went on to do worlds Fastest Indian and a slew
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: of international projects. Yes, I can't find that and that
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: annoys me. Annoys me about the digital age where the
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: digital streamers can decide what you can and cannot buy.
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: That annoys me.
- 1:05:07Speaker 5: And also they once you've bought it, they can at
- 1:05:10Speaker 5: any time turn off the service and just go. You know,
- 1:05:12Speaker 5: the thing that you own that's.
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: Gone, that's gone now one hundred percent. And that's the
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: world we're going to be living in. But that's said,
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: there's heaps of stuff on there. I recommend hooking into
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: that and I'll be doing that from tonight, going down
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: memory Lane with Sam Neil.
- 1:05:22Speaker 4: Yeah, good plan man, Good plan fellows. On my Samsung television,
- 1:05:26Speaker 4: there's many, many channels. As we discussed yesterday, there's a channel,
- 1:05:31Speaker 4: a movie channel dedicated to Korean movies, and I've become
- 1:05:35Speaker 4: a massive fan of Korean movies. Watched one yesterday called Vertigo,
- 1:05:42Speaker 4: and what the Koreans do? I mean, it's beautifully shot.
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: The performers and actors are excellent, The performances are excellent.
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: It's just visually pleasing.
- 1:05:53Speaker 4: And I tell you what the Koreans do very very
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: very well as a horror really, you know, the spooky,
- 1:05:59Speaker 4: scary stuff. Yeah, so that's all. I've been sort of
- 1:06:02Speaker 4: watching Verdico, who was about a woman who had vertigo
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: and she was I don't want to get into it
- 1:06:06Speaker 4: because it's very involved in subtle.
- 1:06:09Speaker 5: So it's about a woman who has vertigo.
- 1:06:11Speaker 4: Yes, who works in this high tower, but it's also
- 1:06:15Speaker 4: about relationships and all sorts of stuff, and she's doing
- 1:06:17Speaker 4: all the work and everyone else is getting all the credit,
- 1:06:21Speaker 4: et cetera, et cetera.
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: Et cetera.
- 1:06:22Speaker 5: So it's like a keezy big show situation.
- 1:06:24Speaker 4: She's in the love, she's in love with the boss.
- 1:06:26Speaker 4: But the boss is actually sleeping with a lot of
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: people and just using her, So you know, it was
- 1:06:32Speaker 4: a lot of sort of psychological drama going on.
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: I'll give it four buzzies out of five. Wow, Holy heck.
- 1:06:39Speaker 5: Have you you eat Korean quite often as well, don't you?
- 1:06:42Speaker 5: Does that joint down the road from your house and
- 1:06:44Speaker 5: you consume a lot of Korean film? Yes, I feel
- 1:06:48Speaker 5: like you are subliminately, subconsciously preparing yourself to move overseas,
- 1:06:52Speaker 5: probably to one of those Asian countries.
- 1:06:54Speaker 4: Well, we did actually think about going to Korea. That
- 1:06:57Speaker 4: was going to be our family or South. That was
- 1:07:00Speaker 4: I'm not going to North with old Kim there, but.
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: Com here's Shogunberg is there?
- 1:07:06Speaker 4: But yes, that's definitely on the agenda. Quite seriously, he's
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: moving to Korea. No, not moving there, but certainly visiting.
- 1:07:12Speaker 4: Which are we going to be fascinating? We simply mask
- 1:07:14Speaker 4: when are you moving there? I'm not moving there. I'm
- 1:07:17Speaker 4: just saying it'll be a fascinating place to you know, investigate.
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: Is it a new ship?
- 1:07:25Speaker 5: Is that a big hanker.
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: For the Hidiarchy Big Show week days from four on
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: Radio Hodik Levana.
- 1:07:35Speaker 4: There on the Big show Breakfast this Tuesday morning. Now,
- 1:07:40Speaker 4: this morning, we were talking about the sad passing of
- 1:07:42Speaker 4: one of the new one of New Zealand's great the
- 1:07:45Speaker 4: one and only Sam Neil.
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: Exactly right, Jay, a bit of a shock to the sys.
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: He did the big SA for a bit, but he
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: managed to beat that. And so last night I was
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: sort of just trolling through a whole bunch of content
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: about the to Neil and one of the things I
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: came across, which i'd seen a couple of years back,
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: a few years back and I had done really well.
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: There's a show in Australia called The Assembly, and on
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: that show you get famous people in there and they
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: talk to kids and the kids are the ones that
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: do the interviewing. So it's called The Assembly for that reason.
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: And in this this young girl asked Sam Neil a
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: question and he breaks down. I remember it was during
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: his treatment, but it had a nerve with me, so
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: I thought we'd play it out here.
- 1:08:29Speaker 7: My parents were of the generation that went through a
- 1:08:31Speaker 7: lot of things. They went through the Depression. My mother
- 1:08:37Speaker 7: lost her father in the First War, so she grew
- 1:08:42Speaker 7: up without her father. Yeah, so they went through a
- 1:08:46Speaker 7: lot of stuff. A lot of stuff. But there were
- 1:08:48Speaker 7: very stoic people. And I'd had a year at the
- 1:08:51Speaker 7: university where i'd done bugger all, you know, I was
- 1:08:57Speaker 7: acting in plays and to find a girlfriend and you
- 1:09:02Speaker 7: know things. So it came to exam time and I
- 1:09:07Speaker 7: realized I've done almost no work. It got me very anxious.
- 1:09:12Speaker 7: I got her and mom said how are you doing?
- 1:09:15Speaker 7: And I said, oh, Mum, I think I'm having a breakdown.
- 1:09:18Speaker 7: And I've got exams in a couple of weeks and
- 1:09:20Speaker 7: I don't know how I'm going to go. And she
- 1:09:23Speaker 7: just looked at me and she said, well, you're just
- 1:09:27Speaker 7: going to have to pull yourself together. And I think
- 1:09:31Speaker 7: that was the best lesson I learned from her, is
- 1:09:34Speaker 7: sometimes you just have to pull yourself together.
- 1:09:38Speaker 4: Yes, I remember watching that Claire backs and he did
- 1:09:40Speaker 4: get very emotional. Yeah, he was taken by surprise, but
- 1:09:45Speaker 4: very much. That was the sort of thinking of that
- 1:09:47Speaker 4: generation of people, wasn't it is pull yourself together and
- 1:09:50Speaker 4: get on with it.
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: Well, it's got a lot of value now, it does.
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: There's no point falling apart if if you've got the
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: option to pull yourself together. And you know, Sam Neil,
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: we've we're talking earlier on about how he it was
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: constantly working and all that sort of thing. But I've
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: also seen chats with him where he talks about when
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: the jobs aren't coming thick and fast, when you do
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: have space, and what you get when you go on
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: to a film or some kind of project like that,
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: as you're occupying your mind and you're also getting that
- 1:10:14Speaker 2: family environment right where everything's great. But then when the
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: project ends and you have to go back to your
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: house and you're sitting there all alone, possibly you know,
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: the dark clouds can roll in. And I know that
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: he did have his issues battling the black Dog. So
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: there are times where you have to you have to
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: pull yourself together. I think, you know, there's probably a
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: lot that each of us could learn from that. Instead
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: of walloween, you shit together and get on with it.
- 1:10:42Speaker 5: And yeah, man, how do you guys deal with it
- 1:10:44Speaker 5: when there's obviously no roles flooding in? I've never had to, Okay,
- 1:10:49Speaker 5: just because the current reality.
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: What do you do?
- 1:10:55Speaker 4: But that's totally right, because you are part of a
- 1:10:59Speaker 4: team when you you know, doing a play or you're
- 1:11:02Speaker 4: filming and stuff, and you do go back home and
- 1:11:05Speaker 4: you spend time in your own head and the old.
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: Demon start hammering away. Oh I'm no good, I'm terrible,
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: I'm all that sort of stuff.
- 1:11:12Speaker 5: Yeah, that happens, and you're like, oh, come on, broken Wood,
- 1:11:15Speaker 5: come back for another season please.
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: You see I've got that now.
- 1:11:18Speaker 4: Yeah, And it's a hit show around the world, and
- 1:11:21Speaker 4: so I'm very fortunate in that sense.
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: Keezy, Yeah, you're the.
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: Man the Hurdarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio Hdarchy.
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: Well, there you go, your mad bastards.
- 1:11:38Speaker 4: That's the Big Show, Breakfast, done and dusted this Tuesday morning. Now,
- 1:11:43Speaker 4: there may be people listening to us out there that
- 1:11:45Speaker 4: have never really listened to the Big Show. And one
- 1:11:48Speaker 4: of the things that we do is called the podcast Outro,
- 1:11:51Speaker 4: which are sort of bonus material that we do after
- 1:11:54Speaker 4: every show.
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: It's a separate podcast.
- 1:11:57Speaker 4: Today, we did it before the show, didn't we feel it.
- 1:12:00Speaker 5: Traditionally we were on our drive show in the afternoon,
- 1:12:01Speaker 5: we did it before the show to warm up. Yeah,
- 1:12:03Speaker 5: But once we started doing Brick and we started doing
- 1:12:05Speaker 5: it after the show because we're lazy, because we're but
- 1:12:07Speaker 5: now we're like, let's get in real early five point
- 1:12:09Speaker 5: thirty and record at then. Yeah, yeah, This is a
- 1:12:12Speaker 5: clip from yesterday's podcast about the human form.
- 1:12:17Speaker 2: I used to do a bit of modeling back in
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: the day. Actually noses there.
- 1:12:24Speaker 5: Yeah, he posed for the Easter Island head they were carving.
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: Those got something I got was today's podcast. It was
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: great stuff got mixed up.
- 1:12:42Speaker 5: Yeah, so we have a lot of fun.
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: A filling a Honker chair, finishing up here, going to work.
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: I am going to work actually yeah, quite finally, quite strangely,
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: I am doing breakfast radio in Australia. I've got to
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: go and do a zoom right talk about Sam Neil.
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: So I'm not quite sure how that's happened, but I'll
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: be going off to that Sunrise Sunrise on Channel seven
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: with Matt Shervington and Nat.
- 1:13:12Speaker 5: Isn't it a TV?
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: Yeah? Sunrise it's breakfast TV. What do I say radio?
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: I thought radio? It's TV now it's yeah yeah, yeah,
- 1:13:20Speaker 2: so old old Mogi. They're making up. They call him,
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: they do. They call him sure though, and I thought
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: they would call her Nadow but they don't. They call
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: her Nat.
- 1:13:29Speaker 4: You're going to be like Shuvo, your mad Chevo.
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: Your mad dog. And well he used to be an Olympian,
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: a runner, if I remember correctly, maybe too maybe a
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: four hundred meters, And I remember that he had a
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: particularly outstanding downstairs operation. Oh yeah, you might want to
- 1:13:44Speaker 2: ask him about it. Oh well, I think it seems
- 1:13:46Speaker 2: like the appropriate time should give him a backbone t shirt. Keezy.
- 1:13:51Speaker 4: Uh, you said you're heading straight home for a Nana nat.
- 1:13:55Speaker 5: I am heading home. I've got some jobs around the
- 1:13:57Speaker 5: old house. There got a plumber coming as well.
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: How do you go to plumber coming? Yeah?
- 1:14:04Speaker 5: I do.
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: How do you get how do you get a plumeter com?
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: I don't know?
- 1:14:07Speaker 5: You call them?
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: Uh? And yeah.
- 1:14:11Speaker 5: So I'll be head chat to the plumber and then
- 1:14:13Speaker 5: maybe have a nap after that.
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: Jason, you'll be sefter that well.
- 1:14:16Speaker 4: Funnily enough, I've got people coming over as well to
- 1:14:19Speaker 4: fix up the lights in my in my opinion electrician?
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: Electrician?
- 1:14:23Speaker 5: How do you get an electrician to come?
- 1:14:24Speaker 4: And I think I've also got someone coming to Jesus
- 1:14:28Speaker 4: up out fridge, which is freezing at the moment.
- 1:14:33Speaker 5: You might be looking in your freezer.
- 1:14:37Speaker 4: Check out the podcast, check out the Instagram. Till tomorrow,
- 1:14:40Speaker 4: see you letter, bye bye,
