- 0:42First,
- 0:43president Trump releases his health care plan related
- 0:46to health care affordability.
- 0:48This was released on Thursday,
- 0:50and it's aimed at lowering cost. We'll see
- 0:53if it's successful or not, and we'll see
- 0:55where it goes.
- 0:56But fasting to see at least more people
- 0:58focused on lowering cost
- 1:01can't tell
- 1:02if more just talk and noise or anything
- 1:05will come that's helpful out of all of
- 1:06this.
- 1:08Second,
- 1:09a Washington DC hospital CEO resigns one year
- 1:12after the hospital opens.
- 1:14Seems to be a sign of the times
- 1:16in terms of changeover
- 1:18in hospital leadership.
- 1:20Third,
- 1:2110 systems
- 1:22seeking supply chain leaders. Again, a lot of
- 1:25need in this area and continued growth.
- 1:28Fourth,
- 1:30BlackBook ranks the top ambulatory EHRs
- 1:33for 2026.
- 1:36No great surprises
- 1:37here,
- 1:38but but a ton of different systems
- 1:41in a ton of different areas,
- 1:43with a lot of names
- 1:45other than Epic and Cerner on this list.
- 1:49Oracle Health for general surgery, NextGen Healthcare for
- 1:52internal medicine,
- 1:54and a ton of different names, Epic and
- 1:56some specialties too,
- 1:58ModMed in some areas,
- 2:00Varian,
- 2:01ARAI,
- 2:03Athenahealth
- 2:04in pediatrics,
- 2:06and and a and a ton of other
- 2:07names as well that many of us aren't
- 2:10quite as familiar with, but fascinating to see
- 2:12the Black Book report on top ambulatory EHRs
- 2:152026.
- 2:18Fifth, telehealth claims dropped sharply towards the end
- 2:21of last year, again, following the changes in
- 2:25telehealth, virtual health, and in person health.
- 2:28Sixth, Ryan Cameron,
- 2:30named the chief information officer at Children's Hospital,
- 2:32Nebraska.
- 2:33Congratulations to Ryan Cameron.
- 2:36Seventh, Kaiser Permanente
- 2:38to settle a Medicare Advantage lawsuit.
- 2:40This was in the $550,000,000
- 2:42range. So fastened to see that and the
- 2:44different issues coming out of the Medicare Advantage.
- 2:47Eighth, a struggling California hospital and talks with
- 2:51its county for takeover always take over its
- 2:53emergency department.
- 2:55And the ninth, a story by Andrew Kiosk
- 2:57about six more hospitals,
- 2:59closing departments, or ending services.
