- 0:00SPEAKER_03: Anyway, I'm Destiny, your host, and this is my co-host LD.
- 0:04SPEAKER_01: We're two sisters, equally unhinged and nurturing.
- 0:09SPEAKER_01: And two moms.
- 0:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah, maybe I should have said that.
- 0:12SPEAKER_03: Probably.
- 0:13SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 0:14SPEAKER_03: So uh happy Sunday.
- 0:16SPEAKER_03: This is Sunday when we're recording.
- 0:18SPEAKER_03: Um obviously they come out to you every Thursday.
- 0:22SPEAKER_03: Um, so what do you want to talk about today?
- 0:25SPEAKER_03: Do you want to talk about your road rage experience?
- 0:28SPEAKER_03: Oh my Jesus.
- 0:29SPEAKER_03: Let me just tell you guys.
- 0:31SPEAKER_03: So I'm at the McDonald's, obviously, getting breakfast because somebody was late because we were supposed to start recording.
- 0:37SPEAKER_01: Somebody also did not get me breakfast.
- 0:39SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 0:39SPEAKER_03: Well, we were supposed to start recording at 10.30.
- 0:41SPEAKER_03: She didn't roll in here until like 10.45.
- 0:43SPEAKER_03: But I still didn't get breakfast.
- 0:45SPEAKER_03: Anyway.
- 0:45SPEAKER_03: So I am going into like the McDonald's or whatever, and the I can already see that the drive-thru is backed up, so I obviously don't want to go to the drive-thru.
- 0:55SPEAKER_03: So I'm passing like the cars, and this bitch ass dude in this freaking white Tahoe.
- 1:02SPEAKER_03: And if you drive a white Tahoe and King and you are a big man, this is about you.
- 1:10SPEAKER_03: With your kids in the back, acting like a damn fool.
- 1:13SPEAKER_03: That one.
- 1:14SPEAKER_03: Because I was just, you know, going past and he was like, honk, honk.
- 1:18SPEAKER_03: And I'm like, who the fuck is this guy honking at?
- 1:20SPEAKER_03: So I'm like, oh my god, he's honking at me.
- 1:23SPEAKER_03: And I don't like to road rage because people are crazy.
- 1:25SPEAKER_03: I'm afraid I'm gonna get shot one day.
- 1:26SPEAKER_03: I road rage.
- 1:28SPEAKER_03: I don't.
- 1:29SPEAKER_03: I do.
- 1:29SPEAKER_03: I don't.
- 1:30SPEAKER_03: I'll be doing it.
- 1:30SPEAKER_01: Anyway, I'll be doing it.
- 1:32SPEAKER_03: So he I'm like, what's the problem?
- 1:35SPEAKER_03: He's like, well, I thought that you were trying to cut.
- 1:37SPEAKER_03: And I'm like, motherfuck, no! Like, damn, I'm a biggie, but that is big activities if I'm trying to cut through the freaking McDonald's drive-thru line for some McChicken biscuit.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: Anyways.
- 1:51SPEAKER_01: That's fuck.
- 1:52SPEAKER_03: It pissed me off.
- 1:52SPEAKER_01: That's some wild ass.
- 1:54SPEAKER_03: He's like, my kids are in here.
- 1:55SPEAKER_03: Keep in mind, I was just like, I wasn't passing you, bitch ass.
- 2:00SPEAKER_03: Anyway.
- 2:01SPEAKER_03: Like it ain't that serious.
- 2:02SPEAKER_03: It pissed me off.
- 2:03SPEAKER_03: McDonald's breakfast.
- 2:04SPEAKER_01: It's never that serious.
- 2:06SPEAKER_03: It's not that deep.
- 2:07SPEAKER_03: It was good, but it just wasn't that deep.
- 2:09SPEAKER_03: Anyway.
- 2:09SPEAKER_01: And why are you acting like that with your kids in the back?
- 2:12SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 2:12SPEAKER_01: And then you're gonna be like, I got my kids in here.
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 2:14SPEAKER_03: Oh like I pulled out a gun.
- 2:16SPEAKER_03: Like I'm gonna shoot you in the face.
- 2:18SPEAKER_03: If you got your kids in there, don't be a cunt.
- 2:20SPEAKER_03: Yeah, don't be over here honking at people, acting like a damn fool.
- 2:23SPEAKER_03: First at McDonald's breakfast.
- 2:24SPEAKER_03: It ain't even that deep.
- 2:26SPEAKER_03: Pissing me off again.
- 2:29SPEAKER_01: Anyway.
- 2:30SPEAKER_01: And then as if I didn't get breakfast, then I'm pissed off because I I didn't get breakfast.
- 2:35SPEAKER_01: And then this huzzy rolls up in here and she ain't even got on her cheetah print moo.
- 2:41SPEAKER_03: Okay, now listen.
- 2:42SPEAKER_01: That's supposed to be our brand.
- 2:43SPEAKER_01: I didn't think it was that deep.
- 2:44SPEAKER_01: It is that deep.
- 2:45SPEAKER_01: So she's got on a sweatshirt and shorts, and I roll up in my studio parking lot with my leopard print moo on, ready to roll, and she didn't have hers on.
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: So now I'm like, now we gotta go to the freaking Walmart.
- 2:59SPEAKER_03: I texted her to grab me because she has an extra at her house that I can wear.
- 3:06SPEAKER_03: And she was.
- 3:07SPEAKER_03: Did you sure you can wear it?
- 3:08SPEAKER_03: I can.
- 3:10SPEAKER_03: Big as a damn bed sheet.
- 3:13SPEAKER_03: Anyway, so and I text her on her number.
- 3:18SPEAKER_03: Like I don't even text her through Snapchat.
- 3:21SPEAKER_03: And this was last night, and she still didn't bring it.
- 3:24SPEAKER_03: And then got mad.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: Because all I saw was where you told me to bring all this other crap that I was responsible.
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: All all of her recording crap I was responsible for bringing.
- 3:35SPEAKER_01: And you have a moo moo.
- 3:37SPEAKER_01: You should have just worn it.
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: Look at me in my face.
- 3:40SPEAKER_01: I bitch, I am ridiculous.
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: Anyways, so then we go to Walmart because I knew that they had the leopard print ones there because I knew that.
- 3:49SPEAKER_01: No, they didn't.
- 3:50SPEAKER_03: And I told her, I said, no, they didn't.
- 3:52SPEAKER_03: No, they didn't.
- 3:53SPEAKER_01: I just bought a second one because I lost the first one.
- 3:55SPEAKER_01: I had no clue where the hell it was.
- 3:57SPEAKER_01: It was tucked to my closet sometimes where.
- 3:59SPEAKER_01: And so I'd bought a second one literally like last week for us to film.
- 4:04SPEAKER_01: And then so I thought they would still be there.
- 4:07SPEAKER_01: No.
- 4:07SPEAKER_01: So we have to go to Walmart and get another one.
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: And she picked out this ugly ass shit.
- 4:12SPEAKER_03: I love it.
- 4:13SPEAKER_03: I think it's cute.
- 4:14SPEAKER_03: I think it's chic.
- 4:15SPEAKER_03: I think it's meow.
- 4:18SPEAKER_03: Anyway.
- 4:19SPEAKER_01: So freaking ugly.
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: My husband said it's ugly too, actually.
- 4:23SPEAKER_03: Well, Derek, I know that you're listening and I know that you see me right now.
- 4:27SPEAKER_03: And I don't give a shit.
- 4:28SPEAKER_03: This is the ugliest shit I've ever seen.
- 4:30SPEAKER_03: I don't give a shit.
- 4:31SPEAKER_03: I don't give not one shit.
- 4:34SPEAKER_03: Not red shit, not blue blue.
- 4:35SPEAKER_03: This is giving me Barbara.
- 4:36SPEAKER_03: Nope.
- 4:38SPEAKER_01: This is giving me saggy teetties to my knees, Barbara.
- 4:42SPEAKER_01: Barbara's her mama.
- 4:43SPEAKER_01: Mamal.
- 4:44SPEAKER_01: What is she?
- 4:45SPEAKER_01: Mama.
- 4:48SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 4:49SPEAKER_03: Because you know us southern people can't just call everybody normal names.
- 4:53SPEAKER_03: We got G Ma and Mimi.
- 4:57SPEAKER_03: And T Tall and T T and Pumper Nickel Nick over there.
- 5:06SPEAKER_03: You know.
- 5:06SPEAKER_03: And then you got like the the stepdad, like that's like Kevin.
- 5:12SPEAKER_03: Let's go see T Toll and Kevin.
- 5:15SPEAKER_03: Let's go.
- 5:16SPEAKER_01: Let's go see Derek is Uncle Dickie.
- 5:21SPEAKER_03: What can we say?
- 5:22SPEAKER_03: I don't feel like that's that bad.
- 5:24SPEAKER_03: Really?
- 5:26SPEAKER_03: Maybe he is.
- 5:27SPEAKER_03: Uncle Dickie.
- 5:28SPEAKER_03: That's not my problem.
- 5:30SPEAKER_01: Anyways, we're wearing this ugly shit because she didn't wear her freaking cheetah print.
- 5:34SPEAKER_03: Wah blah.
- 5:35SPEAKER_01: And so now we look like freaking 90-year-old women.
- 5:38SPEAKER_01: Wah blah.
- 5:39SPEAKER_01: In our freaking bed shit.
- 5:44SPEAKER_03: And that's crazy.
- 5:45SPEAKER_03: Anyway, so let's get on track.
- 5:47SPEAKER_03: I mean, Lord have mercy.
- 5:48SPEAKER_03: We're burning the time.
- 5:50SPEAKER_03: We're burning the time.
- 5:52SPEAKER_03: Um.
- 5:54SPEAKER_01: Oh, and this.
- 5:56SPEAKER_03: This is ignore the ghetto background today.
- 5:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah, our background will improve.
- 6:02SPEAKER_01: Somebody expects me to do all the painting and doing it.
- 6:05SPEAKER_03: Don't even start, y'all.
- 6:06SPEAKER_03: I do I do all the editing.
- 6:08SPEAKER_03: I do all the uploading.
- 6:09SPEAKER_03: I do I do everything.
- 6:10SPEAKER_03: I do all the social media.
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: Who be paying for this?
- 6:16SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 6:17SPEAKER_03: Anyway.
- 6:18SPEAKER_03: Anyway.
- 6:19SPEAKER_03: And this is our second episode, and you're about to see us brawl.
- 6:22SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 6:23SPEAKER_01: Because I'm about to beat her ass.
- 6:26SPEAKER_03: Anyway, so let's get started with the mom talk.
- 6:30SPEAKER_03: Jesus.
- 6:32SPEAKER_03: Enough with the Barbara and the road rage.
- 6:36SPEAKER_03: Um I don't know.
- 6:38SPEAKER_03: What should we eat?
- 6:38SPEAKER_03: Let's do traveling with kids.
- 6:40SPEAKER_01: Ooh, yeah, because I'll go on vacation in like five days.
- 6:45SPEAKER_01: For a week and a half, too.
- 6:46SPEAKER_01: This is the longest vacation that we've ever had in the 15 years that we've been together.
- 6:51SPEAKER_03: I'm not in that type of tax market.
- 6:56SPEAKER_01: It's called saving.
- 7:01SPEAKER_01: We are going on a Royal Caribbean cruise.
- 7:04SPEAKER_01: Oh we we stepped up above that carnival cruise from last year.
- 7:13SPEAKER_01: Because Carnival be doing us dirty.
- 7:17SPEAKER_03: I do love carnival.
- 7:18SPEAKER_03: Nope, you wouldn't anymore.
- 7:19SPEAKER_01: Oh, probably not.
- 7:21SPEAKER_01: No.
- 7:22SPEAKER_01: They used to have all day, all night soft serve ice cream.
- 7:28SPEAKER_01: And you could get pizza any time of the day, any time of the night.
- 7:31SPEAKER_01: No, they done away with that.
- 7:32SPEAKER_01: Did they really?
- 7:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 7:34SPEAKER_01: You can't get ice cream until like 11 a.m.
- 7:37SPEAKER_01: until like 9 p.m.
- 7:40SPEAKER_01: And pizza is pretty much the same.
- 7:42SPEAKER_01: Like it's it's freaking wild.
- 7:44SPEAKER_01: I wonder why.
- 7:45SPEAKER_01: I don't know, but it sucks.
- 7:47SPEAKER_01: And then like you used to be able to get room service, like you know the basic stuff, like a BLT or some stupid crap.
- 7:54SPEAKER_03: I would get a PB and J.
- 7:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and it was free.
- 7:56SPEAKER_01: Nope.
- 7:56SPEAKER_01: You gotta pay for that now.
- 7:58SPEAKER_03: That's crazy.
- 7:59SPEAKER_03: That is insane.
- 8:00SPEAKER_03: Carnival.
- 8:02SPEAKER_03: Step up your shit, man.
- 8:03SPEAKER_01: They already did away with like a lot of their rewards too.
- 8:06SPEAKER_01: So you know how we were like a certain platinum member?
- 8:08SPEAKER_01: We were like a certain level, like we were gold members because we had been for so many times.
- 8:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 8:13SPEAKER_01: They're doing away with that.
- 8:14SPEAKER_01: Like you don't get to keep your status.
- 8:15SPEAKER_01: You still Carnival.
- 8:17SPEAKER_03: You have to travel.
- 8:19SPEAKER_03: This is ridiculous.
- 8:20SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 8:21SPEAKER_03: I was a gold member at like seven.
- 8:24SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 8:24SPEAKER_03: Lock in.
- 8:25SPEAKER_01: Nope, you wouldn't be anymore.
- 8:27SPEAKER_03: Lock in.
- 8:27SPEAKER_03: I can't afford no$10,000 Disney cruise.
- 8:30SPEAKER_01: You gotta be traveling.
- 8:31SPEAKER_01: You literally have to h take like three cruises a year pretty much to maintain your gold status.
- 8:37SPEAKER_01: Like who who can do that?
- 8:40SPEAKER_01: A retired person, maybe.
- 8:41SPEAKER_02: Or people without children.
- 8:43SPEAKER_02: Maybe.
- 8:44SPEAKER_02: Or with older children.
- 8:45SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 8:47SPEAKER_01: But yeah, it's wild.
- 8:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 8:49SPEAKER_01: I'm not saying the benefits are better at Royal, but like, oh god.
- 8:53SPEAKER_01: Last year we did this excursion and we booked this it was like Paradise Island or some BS like that.
- 9:00SPEAKER_01: And so we only booked it because it said it had a pool.
- 9:03SPEAKER_01: Because my kids don't care about the ocean.
- 9:06SPEAKER_01: They don't.
- 9:07SPEAKER_01: They don't give a crap about the ocean.
- 9:08SPEAKER_01: They'll enjoy it for like five minutes and that's fine.
- 9:11SPEAKER_01: But like they wanted a pool.
- 9:12SPEAKER_01: They wanted to actually swim in the pool.
- 9:14SPEAKER_01: So this was the only place that had a pool, according to the pictures and all the excursion details or whatever.
- 9:21SPEAKER_01: So we're like, cool, we'll book that.
- 9:23SPEAKER_01: Booked it, we get there, the pool's closed, it's under construction.
- 9:30SPEAKER_01: And so we go back to Carnival and we're like, we literally only booked it because and they didn't say anything.
- 9:36SPEAKER_01: They never warned us that the pool was closed.
- 9:39SPEAKER_01: And you know they have to know because it's one of their excursions.
- 9:43SPEAKER_01: And they didn't say anything to us.
- 9:45SPEAKER_01: And so we go thinking there's a pool there.
- 9:48SPEAKER_01: There's not.
- 9:49SPEAKER_01: So and there's only like six foot of freaking beach there.
- 9:54SPEAKER_01: The rest is all jagged rocks.
- 9:57SPEAKER_01: It's like literally an island.
- 9:59SPEAKER_01: And there's only this small little strip of of actual ocean beach access, and the rest is jagged rocks and no pool.
- 10:08SPEAKER_01: And so we go back and we're like, dude, we wouldn't have even booked this if we known that there was no pool.
- 10:15SPEAKER_01: We would have just dealt with whatever else we had.
- 10:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 10:18SPEAKER_01: And they're like, oh sorry.
- 10:21SPEAKER_01: Didn't offer us anything at all in return.
- 10:24SPEAKER_01: No partial refund, no like onboard credit, no nothing.
- 10:32SPEAKER_01: Nothing.
- 10:32SPEAKER_01: So they're not even in like the customer service industry.
- 10:35SPEAKER_03: Carnival, you can't keep you can't get ghetto on us.
- 10:39SPEAKER_03: Like you can't, you can't not Yeah, it was you can't be that way.
- 10:43SPEAKER_01: It was some wild behavior.
- 10:44SPEAKER_01: Like no no offer of anything to make it better for us.
- 10:50SPEAKER_01: And then, oh God.
- 10:52SPEAKER_01: So then the other one on their like on their swear to God.
- 10:58SPEAKER_03: Like I I'm like, am I tweaking?
- 11:01SPEAKER_03: No, there's a fly in there.
- 11:02SPEAKER_03: I swear, there's a gnat.
- 11:04SPEAKER_03: But it's right there.
- 11:06SPEAKER_03: Anyway.
- 11:08SPEAKER_01: But on their private island, so we booked a day bed because I was worried about the kids staying in the sun all day.
- 11:14SPEAKER_01: Plus, we were going to be there all day.
- 11:16SPEAKER_01: So I was like, my kid needs somewhere to nap because you always have to think about that with freaking toddlers.
- 11:22SPEAKER_01: And so we book a day bed.
- 11:24SPEAKER_01: It's supposed to be the day bed that overlooks the kids' area.
- 11:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 11:30SPEAKER_01: So we get there and they take us to the day bed that they say is what we reserved.
- 11:36SPEAKER_01: And it is overlooking the huge freaking pool.
- 11:41SPEAKER_01: The kids' area is back here.
- 11:44SPEAKER_01: There's another day bed in between us and then the kids' area.
- 11:49SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 11:50SPEAKER_01: I paid for a day bed that overlooks the kitty pool for a reason.
- 11:55SPEAKER_01: Because I know that my toddler and my younger daughter are gonna be in the kitty area.
- 12:00SPEAKER_01: They're not gonna be in the deep ass pool.
- 12:03SPEAKER_01: Why is my day bed that I pay I paid like$300 and something dollars for this day bed?
- 12:10SPEAKER_01: And they it's not even facing the right direction.
- 12:15SPEAKER_01: And so of course I say I I don't like to complain, especially in the service industry, just because I don't.
- 12:23SPEAKER_03: Not in the service industry.
- 12:25SPEAKER_03: Complaining in general, yes.
- 12:27SPEAKER_03: I do complain a lot.
- 12:29SPEAKER_01: I be complaining about all kinds of shit.
- 12:31SPEAKER_01: Consistently.
- 12:32SPEAKER_01: Like I don't like to complain about the service industry because I did work in the service industry.
- 12:37SPEAKER_01: I know what it's like.
- 12:38SPEAKER_03: Especially food.
- 12:39SPEAKER_03: Ooh, that's another thing.
- 12:39SPEAKER_03: We'll get on to we'll get to that.
- 12:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I don't like I don't like to complain to them because I know they're literally just they're just trying to do their jobs.
- 12:47SPEAKER_03: And a lot of stuff is just out of their control in general.
- 12:49SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 12:50SPEAKER_01: But like you know, you know the freaking pool's closed, you know what cabana you're putting me in, and it's not what you advertised, and you're not doing shit about it.
- 13:03SPEAKER_01: You're not offering us anything.
- 13:05SPEAKER_01: We paid all this money for these experiences that we're we have this expectation for because what you said on your website.
- 13:13SPEAKER_01: And then when you're not delivering what you said, yeah.
- 13:19SPEAKER_01: That's BS.
- 13:20SPEAKER_01: But anyways, trying to dress.
- 13:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah, uh so we're trying royal this year.
- 13:25SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and I hope it's great.
- 13:26SPEAKER_03: And then after that, you're gonna go to Florida for a couple of days.
- 13:31SPEAKER_01: So last year we only got to go to Clearwater for like it was only like two days, and it felt like a blur because we love Clearwater.
- 13:39SPEAKER_01: We go to Clearwater pretty much every summer, except for the one time mom talked us into going to Destin.
- 13:44SPEAKER_03: That was by far the like one of the worst trips I've ever had.
- 13:49SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 13:49SPEAKER_03: But maybe it was just because I was pregnant with my first with my daughter.
- 13:53SPEAKER_03: Um, but I was so miserable that whole time.
- 13:56SPEAKER_01: I was miserable.
- 13:57SPEAKER_03: Um Well I liked it.
- 13:59SPEAKER_03: I liked the place we stayed at.
- 14:00SPEAKER_03: The place we stayed at was really nice.
- 14:02SPEAKER_01: The place we stayed at was nice.
- 14:03SPEAKER_01: However, do you remember like the freaking you had to walk through a whole freaking like river?
- 14:08SPEAKER_03: I was so miserable.
- 14:09SPEAKER_03: I didn't even go eat that.
- 14:11SPEAKER_03: I didn't even go see the ocean that time.
- 14:13SPEAKER_03: I had I was so miserable.
- 14:14SPEAKER_03: I didn't even go see the ocean.
- 14:15SPEAKER_01: So I have Clearwater Beach expectations when I when I go to a beach in Florida, especially on the Gulf Coast, because Clearwater is freaking beautiful.
- 14:23SPEAKER_01: I know exactly where I'm going to go pretty much to eat almost every night that I'm there.
- 14:27SPEAKER_03: That's just that.
- 14:28SPEAKER_03: If if you don't know what Clearwater is, if you've ever seen the movie Dolphin Tail, Winter of the Dolphin, the dolphin that didn't have a tail or got it amputated, she was at the aquarium there.
- 14:39SPEAKER_03: Uh unfortunately she died, so she's no longer there, but that aquarium is is great.
- 14:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we go to the aquarium every year.
- 14:45SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I mean it is it is probably one of the best aquariums and they have the best like expectations and they have freaking vanities there.
- 14:54SPEAKER_01: It's like they have so many cute things there.
- 14:57SPEAKER_01: They have an animal hospital there where you can actually sometimes see them working on the actual animals that are sick there, which is super freaking cool.
- 15:05SPEAKER_01: But it has grown so much since we started going there.
- 15:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 15:09SPEAKER_01: Because we started going there when it was just this remember this little tiny concrete building.
- 15:14SPEAKER_03: Yeah, the first time we went there or I went was 2018, and they had Winter the Dolphin and then Hope the Dolphin in that little small, which is now the sting or the yeah, yeah, the stingray enclosure now.
- 15:25SPEAKER_01: It's small, it was so small, and now it's grown into like this massive thing where they have way better just habitats for the animals, and they're expanding.
- 15:35SPEAKER_03: I mean, they expand a little bit more than that.
- 15:36SPEAKER_01: I'm so happy for them because they're doing some awesome work there, and it is just really just grown.
- 15:42SPEAKER_01: But Clearwater is a walkable beach, like you can literally park your freaking car and walk just about anywhere there.
- 15:50SPEAKER_01: Like you can walk to food, you can walk to fun.
- 15:54SPEAKER_01: The beach is just right there, and if you're not on the beach side, then you're on the marina side where you can see manatees, literally swimming in the water there.
- 16:02SPEAKER_01: It's so freaking awesome.
- 16:04SPEAKER_01: Like, that is my favorite place to go for a vacation.
- 16:09SPEAKER_01: And my mom's always like, Why do we have to always go to Clearwater?
- 16:14SPEAKER_01: I'm like, because it's awesome, and I don't like to go to I don't want to spend my vacation, like a week-long vacation, at a new place.
- 16:23SPEAKER_03: No, and I mean the eats and everything there is just so good.
- 16:27SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 16:28SPEAKER_03: And it and it has a lot of family stuff.
- 16:30SPEAKER_03: Um it's I mean, it I wouldn't say that it's like Myrtle Beach by any means.
- 16:34SPEAKER_01: No, Myrtle Beach is like commercialized, which Clearwater's getting Yeah, I mean it's getting there, but you have Pier 60 and they have a bunch of stuff for the kids.
- 16:42SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah, and then they have like Pier 60 has this stuff like literally every night on the pier where they have like small vendors and stuff set up.
- 16:51SPEAKER_01: It's super cute.
- 16:52SPEAKER_01: They've got entertainment out there that's free, like magic shows and dancing and singing.
- 16:58SPEAKER_03: And then they have like the pirate ships that you can um ride and everything.
- 17:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 17:04SPEAKER_01: I would say it's it's a more laid-back Myrtle Beach with nicer water.
- 17:10SPEAKER_01: Like the beach water is clear, you can actually see, which is one of the reasons that I go because I don't like no murky water.
- 17:18SPEAKER_03: And no shade of Myrtle Beach.
- 17:20SPEAKER_03: I love Myrtle Beach.
- 17:21SPEAKER_03: Um, I love it.
- 17:22SPEAKER_01: But I ain't wanting their past ankle deep.
- 17:24SPEAKER_01: Nope.
- 17:25SPEAKER_01: Because I can't see.
- 17:27SPEAKER_03: No, and I just, you know, it And got really bad with the jellyfish.
- 17:32SPEAKER_03: Really bad with the jellyfish.
- 17:33SPEAKER_03: I mean, it is oh my god, it is terrible with the jellyfish, and then there's a gnat.
- 17:38SPEAKER_03: There is a gnat.
- 17:39SPEAKER_03: I am so sick of this.
- 17:40SPEAKER_03: There is a gnat.
- 17:41SPEAKER_03: But no, with the jellyfish, I mean it was horrible.
- 17:44SPEAKER_03: Oh my god, do you see it?
- 17:46SPEAKER_03: Anyway, I gotta walk in.
- 17:49SPEAKER_01: But Clearwater's nice because you can literally go in like chest deep and you can still see your feet, which is what I'm here for.
- 17:56SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 17:57SPEAKER_03: And instead of like the wings, they have surf style.
- 18:00SPEAKER_03: Surf style.
- 18:02SPEAKER_03: Such a good fun for everyone.
- 18:04SPEAKER_01: It's so fun.
- 18:05SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, we go in surf style like every day that we're there.
- 18:07SPEAKER_03: Every day, because they have that like small convenience store in the back and everything.
- 18:11SPEAKER_01: It's but so last year we only got to go for like two days, which sucked because my husband's only friend pretty much lives down there that he games with all the time on his uh PlayStation.
- 18:22SPEAKER_01: They play Fortnite and stuff, but uh it's like his only friend.
- 18:26SPEAKER_01: He my husband has no friends, but uh I wonder why he's so nice.
- 18:33SPEAKER_01: I'm his only friend, other than his other friend.
- 18:36SPEAKER_01: But anyways, so we try to see them every time that we're down there, and it was like we wanted me and my cousin, so my cousin went last year for the first time and she loved it.
- 18:45SPEAKER_01: She's going again this year, but so we wanted to get tattoos because our favorite tattoo artist is down there.
- 18:52SPEAKER_01: I think his name's Aaron.
- 18:53SPEAKER_01: He works at I'll have to look it up, but um, it's not the one, it's not the tattoo shop that's there on like the main strip.
- 19:01SPEAKER_01: It's off the main strip.
- 19:03SPEAKER_01: Don't go to the one on the main strip because they will give you like skin rotten infections.
- 19:08SPEAKER_01: I kid you not.
- 19:10SPEAKER_01: I I swear.
- 19:11SPEAKER_03: I mean, I never went.
- 19:13SPEAKER_01: But so this one's off the main strip.
- 19:16SPEAKER_01: Um, his name is Aaron, he's freaking phenomenal.
- 19:19SPEAKER_01: He's so light-handed.
- 19:21SPEAKER_01: My tattoos have always healed up very well from him um and very quickly, like super, super awesome tattoo artists.
- 19:28SPEAKER_01: So me and my cousin wanted to get tattoos last year, and um obviously we wanted to go see our friends from that are in the area too, but I wanted my tattoo, so I had to leave early.
- 19:40SPEAKER_01: So my husband and my kids were like hanging out with them.
- 19:43SPEAKER_01: I went to eat with all of them, but then I was like, I gotta go, I gotta get my tattoo.
- 19:48SPEAKER_01: And say they've been giving me crap this year.
- 19:51SPEAKER_02: They're like first world problems.
- 19:53SPEAKER_01: Are you are you gonna go to get a tattoo this time or are you gonna come hang out?
- 19:56SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, What?
- 19:58SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna try to do both.
- 19:59SPEAKER_03: Right, right.
- 20:01SPEAKER_03: Uh Clearwater is great if you haven't been.
- 20:03SPEAKER_03: It's probably one of the best areas in Florida.
- 20:06SPEAKER_03: I mean, now the crime rate is getting a little up there.
- 20:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so they've gotten a lot more we've been going to Clearwater for almost 10 years now.
- 20:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like probably 10 years now.
- 20:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 20:17SPEAKER_01: And so when we first started going, it was not super commercialized.
- 20:21SPEAKER_01: There was not a lot of hotels there.
- 20:23SPEAKER_01: It was mostly like homes, condos, and things like that.
- 20:27SPEAKER_01: And since we've been going, they've built probably like five or six different hotels there.
- 20:33SPEAKER_01: And uh, so it's getting a little more commercialized and it's it's getting a little more obviously people kids are rowdy, unfortunately.
- 20:41SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so you know, they gotta ruin everything.
- 20:44SPEAKER_01: But it's still super nice.
- 20:46SPEAKER_01: Um, like I said, it's walkable.
- 20:50SPEAKER_01: I would I'm even comfortable walking there by myself, whereas I would probably not be comfortable walking at night in Myrtle Beach by myself.
- 20:58SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 20:59SPEAKER_03: I'm not really comfortable walking anywhere by myself, especially at night.
- 21:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but I'm I'm just saying, like, in Clearwater I feel pretty comfortable.
- 21:06SPEAKER_01: Like, I don't feel like it's that bad.
- 21:11SPEAKER_01: I mean I'll it's still Florida.
- 21:14SPEAKER_01: I mean I'll freaking somebody Fair enough.
- 21:19SPEAKER_01: Also, I I do have a Can I say that?
- 21:29SPEAKER_03: No, probably not.
- 21:30SPEAKER_03: You I mean a conceal carry, but you can't use the the G word.
- 21:34SPEAKER_01: I won't, yeah.
- 21:34SPEAKER_01: No.
- 21:34SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 21:35SPEAKER_03: I I do have a conceal carry, so yeah, because you can't you can't say the G word or people have this fully taken down.
- 21:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I won't say that.
- 21:45SPEAKER_01: But anyways, I do have a conceal carry and I do utilize that.
- 21:49SPEAKER_01: So I usually feel more comfortable, I guess, walking because I do have that to my advantage.
- 21:56SPEAKER_01: Fair enough.
- 21:57SPEAKER_01: And I'm also very, like like very aware of my surroundings.
- 22:02SPEAKER_01: Like you can my cousin knows because we went to LA.
- 22:07SPEAKER_01: Oh sweet baby Jesus.
- 22:11SPEAKER_01: Not to LA.
- 22:13SPEAKER_01: I will never go back.
- 22:14SPEAKER_01: No.
- 22:14SPEAKER_01: And that says enough because I will never go back.
- 22:18SPEAKER_01: I don't know how they romanticize it so much on TV.
- 22:22SPEAKER_01: Like it's this safe, beautiful place.
- 22:24SPEAKER_01: No, no, they never say safe.
- 22:26SPEAKER_01: They say beautiful but safe as well.
- 22:28SPEAKER_01: And there there is a lot of beauty there.
- 22:30SPEAKER_01: But then you got a tweaker over there on the corner.
- 22:33SPEAKER_01: Even in Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive, you you literally They have like homeless like towns.
- 22:42SPEAKER_03: Dude.
- 22:43SPEAKER_03: It is like crazy.
- 22:44SPEAKER_03: Under every bridge.
- 22:46SPEAKER_03: It's like a like a like a little town.
- 22:49SPEAKER_01: It's like a little bit I'm talking even in the medians.
- 22:52SPEAKER_01: So like there's a road here there's a road over here.
- 22:55SPEAKER_01: There's only like eight foot in between the roads but you got a mattress there.
- 22:59SPEAKER_01: Because somebody's living there.
- 23:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 23:01SPEAKER_01: And I mean it's just awful.
- 23:03SPEAKER_01: Public transportation drops off at Rodeo Drive.
- 23:07SPEAKER_01: And maybe that was our mistake is that we took public transportation because we were trying to be like on the cheaper side but I have never been so stressed out in my life.
- 23:18SPEAKER_01: Like I needed a whole ass fucking vacation from LA.
- 23:23SPEAKER_03: LA yeah.
- 23:25SPEAKER_03: Now Vegas I liked Vegas.
- 23:28SPEAKER_01: I like Vegas.
- 23:28SPEAKER_03: They have the okay they have the I mean they have obviously any big city there's there's homeless people and yeah I mean there's homeless people here.
- 23:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah I mean there's homeless it doesn't have to be a big city.
- 23:39SPEAKER_03: Yeah in our my small town.
- 23:40SPEAKER_01: But it's it's different if if you're like a tweaker homeless and that's what most of LA was was the tweaker homeless.
- 23:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah where they are like 67 67 67 That's awful no but that's true and it's awful it's it's it's it was scary.
- 24:05SPEAKER_01: So like we're riding this public transportation and like we always tried to sit where our backs were against the back of the because they have the seats that are like going forward like regular seats facing forward or the ones that are sideways.
- 24:19SPEAKER_03: Like on the subway uh whenever we're on the game in Pittsburgh?
- 24:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah okay and so we always tried to get the sideways seat if we could because we didn't want anybody like behind us because they you're not supposed to be able to get on these the public transportation without paying so we had paid for it you had like a little thing that you swiped or whatever and you're not supposed to be able to get on there without paying.
- 24:39SPEAKER_01: But like they do let you on there.
- 24:42SPEAKER_01: They let them on there.
- 24:43SPEAKER_01: They didn't pay they're like oh you don't have it okay and then just kept going we're like why did we even pay for it then at this point and then so you have these people like tweaking out behind you and it was just it was bizarre.
- 24:59SPEAKER_01: I'll never go back.
- 25:00SPEAKER_01: I won't ne I saw what I needed to see it was to the point where it was starting to the sun was starting to go down and we didn't even feel safe enough on the public transportation.
- 25:11SPEAKER_01: We went and sat in the freaking airport for an additional like six hours just because we we could not handle being out there anymore.
- 25:20SPEAKER_01: And actually I have a friend that's another studio owner out there a Hamburn stained SoCal and she used to be a police officer in LA and so I was texting her because I was hoping that she was free but she had a workshop and sh I couldn't meet up with her and I was like dude I'm freaking out and she's like uh yeah if I were you I'd I'd just go on to the airport before it got dark so apparently it's a normal thing.
- 25:45SPEAKER_03: Well even when we went to New York I mean I never really I never not felt safe I guess like there was obviously there's more like the alleys were a little sketchy but I never I don't know but I was also I don't know I was also like twelve yeah I don't know it's it's freaking it's wild out there.
- 26:06SPEAKER_01: But Vegas like I I saw homeless people especially the last time I was more aware like I paid more attention just to compare because we my cousin and I we went to Vegas and we took a one day flight to LA and so after the experience in LA I came back and I was like okay well is it everywhere and so I did notice more of there are people there but they're not bothering you whereas the other people in LA were like coming up to you.
- 26:37SPEAKER_01: There was this one dude so we were at Santa Monica Pier and we were eating at a burger place there.
- 26:45SPEAKER_01: And so we went and we sat outside to eat at the burger place and um this homeless man came in he was wearing a women's bathing suit cover over his mesh bathing suit cover over his tidy whiteys and then like a poncho mind you're there in the summer so it's it's hot why you in a poncho and so he comes in the restaurant and is just like laying around asking people if they'll buy him a sandwich look I have no problem buying someone a sandwich but also I need you to not approach me.
- 27:32SPEAKER_01: No like let me offer to buy you a sandwich don't come up to me because I'm I'm already stressed out and like not just that people are freaking nuts man like they could be like hey will you buy me a sandwich right and we're just like I don't no let me offer you a sandwich.
- 27:49SPEAKER_03: That's just like did you see that woman in Timesquare?
- 27:52SPEAKER_03: No.
- 27:52SPEAKER_03: Oh there's a woman who went around Times Square with uh pointy really sharp thingies and like two of them in her hand and was just going around stabbing people.
- 28:08SPEAKER_03: That's and she actu she um unalived um somebody and she was like a new mom.
- 28:18SPEAKER_03: Like it was like her first day from back from maternity leave and she ended up unfortunately passing away.
- 28:25SPEAKER_03: Um so people are crazy.
- 28:27SPEAKER_03: I mean that's just part of it.
- 28:29SPEAKER_03: Okay, so we should probably But wait I didn't finish the story about the restaurant.
- 28:33SPEAKER_01: So the restaurant guy asked them asked the man to leave he's like you can't be in here you can't be asking people to buy you a sandwich I need you to go outside.
- 28:40SPEAKER_01: And so this man just literally just kind of creeps around the outside of the there's full glass windows.
- 28:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah and he just kind of creeps around staring in the windows the whole like creepy vibes man like crazy stuff.
- 28:58SPEAKER_01: But yeah don't take public transportation in LA actually just don't even go to LA yeah yeah just a matter of fact just don't even go Rodeo Drive literally has security guards at at every door at every store just like that seems like that's not weird is it yes why does every store have to have a security guard is it but that's where like all the really nice stores are yes there are really nice stores there but they're literally just there just to keep the homeless people out yeah because people like to steal I don't feel like that's weird I mean I don't feel like that's I mean you know it's like every sightseeing picture you took you had to pretty much angle it a certain way so you didn't get some homeless tweaker in it.
- 29:45SPEAKER_01: Heard so there's that.
- 29:48SPEAKER_01: But anyways we're going to clear water again after our cruise we're taking about time we're taking a cruise and then we're going to clear water for like three four or five days I can't remember but it's gonna end up being a week and a half long vacation which is so freaking nice.
- 30:03SPEAKER_01: We're already 30 minutes in we're gonna eat at Frenchie's we can't go to Island Way Grill anymore because they got bought out anyway traveling with kids oh god and we're driving down so we used to fly I used to fly my husband doesn't fly because he's a baby he doesn't like to fly he's scared he's scared um yeah it's really freaking annoying but it works out for us because then we don't have to pay all the baggage fees and stuff because he so in the past I've literally flown with the kids and then he's drove down by himself with all of our luggage.
- 30:46SPEAKER_03: It's easier because for one you have your own vehicle down there and you already have the car seats put in and you don't have to rent something and already take the car seat.
- 30:53SPEAKER_03: So I mean that's really good.
- 30:54SPEAKER_03: So him being a baby kind of works out in that favor for me but this year we are he has caught a lot of strays this episode like a lot like some unnecessary strays.
- 31:06SPEAKER_01: I'm sorry so we're we're driving down this year we drove down last year it was fine but like kids in a car ride especially like a 10 hour car ride is a lot I mean you gotta entertain them which usually they're entertained by their tablets but like we're also potty training my son right now so I feel like we're gonna have to stop at least 75 times for him to use the bathroom well for me whose kids aren't easily just entertained by a tablet sucks for you.
- 31:42SPEAKER_03: Um we always go by like Dollar Tree and get just like a cheap bag of toys and then because they're new they're cheap and they can just stay in the car and we usually just do that and then they're pretty entertaining.
- 31:56SPEAKER_01: But you know we're gonna be stopping by some bookies.
- 31:58SPEAKER_01: Bubba bubble boogies oh god yeah we're stopping by some bookies and I don't even know why we have to spend a hundred dollars every time we go in there I don't either well the sandwich is like twelve dollars that's because they have to pay their employees like$28 an hour.
- 32:19SPEAKER_01: You know what?
- 32:19SPEAKER_01: If that Buckies was coming closer than Mebon I I'd quit my job tomorrow and go work her I don't have a job.
- 32:28SPEAKER_01: You should go work at some boozy's in Mebon?
- 32:32SPEAKER_01: Dude they pay like a hundred thousand dollars keep in mind I live on the outskirts of Virginia man I mean I'm in Winston but still I'll be thinking about it because they pay good and then do you get an employee discount?
- 32:49SPEAKER_03: Because ooh they have to hide their tattoos though and I already had to do that at the Chicken Shack.
- 32:56SPEAKER_01: That's the one thing about where I work right now that's fine because you can have like freaking pink hair and tattoos and it's all right yeah I had to wear a sleeve at the chicken shack and I just you know but I love Buckies.
- 33:09SPEAKER_01: I love their food they they love them some Coke products which makes my mom mad because she's a Pepsi girl and I'm like nah girl this is a Coke family.
- 33:22SPEAKER_01: I mean I don't really I'm more of a Dr.
- 33:24SPEAKER_01: Heifer person.
- 33:25SPEAKER_01: No and they don't really give a shit Coke is the best the only thing that makes me mad about Buckies is they don't have a freaking Bucky's Moo Moo why do you not have a Moo Moo?
- 33:35SPEAKER_01: I don't know I had to get a men's 3x shirt to turn into a Moo Moo because they don't have moo moo's there I don't want no pajamas that's got a bottom no I want to be like I want to be free spirited heard from the waist down.
- 34:00SPEAKER_01: I just wanna just give me my oversized moo moo and I'm fine.
- 34:07SPEAKER_01: But Buckys don't have no dang moo moo and it makes me so mad.
- 34:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah it's annoying yes so Bucky's make a freaking moo moo.
- 34:18SPEAKER_03: Mm-hmm And I I've realized because you know we've gone to the beach twice this year with my two smaller kids and they're pretty good in the car.
- 34:28SPEAKER_03: I mean I can't really complain but I think my son gets motion sick after a while imagine.
- 34:36SPEAKER_03: Right and kids up in the car is like oh god top five worst experiences ever.
- 34:44SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 34:44SPEAKER_01: Reagan got sick on the way home from Pittsburgh last year and like out of the blue no reason she's just throwing up everywhere.
- 34:53SPEAKER_01: And then it stinks cause I have cloth seats and it's like it stinks regardless if you got cloth seats or not because their car seats are cloth.
- 35:01SPEAKER_03: It's it's terrible and then you feel bad.
- 35:05SPEAKER_03: Yeah and like obvious like obviously you know and anytime my kids get sick or like throw up or anything it really hurts my heart because they're sitting there like and I'm like oh and it you know it makes me feel I know and I'm like man and there's not really anything you can do for them at that point other than be like it's okay.
- 35:23SPEAKER_03: Yeah please don't touch me.
- 35:24SPEAKER_03: Here's a drink and they're like freaking I can't even get into it.
- 35:29SPEAKER_01: Please don't touch me.
- 35:30SPEAKER_03: It is ugh I wanna I wanna hold you your cousin that was just like whenever me my daughter and my son all had the stomach bug and my I mean my man works out of town so it was just me that about took me out.
- 35:43SPEAKER_03: I know that's why we had to mo have a mommy I l I literally had to go like after that experience um me and my sister went in stay in a hotel stay in a hotel in Winston.
- 35:54SPEAKER_03: So not even like out of I I literally we just needed the hotel night and the thing is I've I parented them with the flu.
- 36:02SPEAKER_03: I've did hospital like I've done in the hospital I have done a lot but that the stomach bug about shook me out it really did.
- 36:12SPEAKER_03: Especially with both of them.
- 36:13SPEAKER_03: Yeah and they were both small and like I literally had I was losing my marbles I was literally losing my mind.
- 36:23SPEAKER_03: Well you had to change bed sheets and stuff over and over again.
- 36:26SPEAKER_03: And I mean it was the oh god it was terrible.
- 36:29SPEAKER_01: So then we take a mommy's night out and so we stayed at a hotel in Winston.
- 36:35SPEAKER_01: And it's a nice hotel.
- 36:36SPEAKER_03: It really is yeah and then we're sitting there we went to Walmart we got yeah we got like crochet stuff we got we know we got a bunch of stuff so we're just gonna have like mom activities.
- 36:48SPEAKER_03: Yeah so we're sitting there trying to learn this freaking chicken crochet that's supposed to be the ear level you lied she lied and so I'm sitting there we're all laughing and I see something move in the corner of my eye and it's a freaking roach like this big and I about shit my pants.
- 37:06SPEAKER_01: So my husband used to work in pest control he used he's done like all kinds of different jobs.
- 37:11SPEAKER_01: He's done a little bit of everything but like back in the day he worked in pest control and so like we're sending him a picture of this cockroach because we're like oh my god is it the bad kind or is it the like kind that just comes out whenever you've got woods around and he's like it's fine it's this thing was chirping.
- 37:31SPEAKER_01: It was chirping I don't fuck with bugs.
- 37:36SPEAKER_03: I don't fuck with feet I don't fuck with bugs.
- 37:38SPEAKER_01: Okay I mom did you hear that I don't fuck with bugs okay um and no roach is a good roach but anyways so it's chirping at us and my husband's like it's fine it's just one of those like wood roaches and we're like we don't care.
- 37:55SPEAKER_03: Keep in mind I had I had a crick in my back uh ever since I had my son in my back because they stuck me like set no joke like seven times for this epidural and I swear they messed up my back.
- 38:06SPEAKER_03: So I had a crick in my back and I could barely move so here I I got up so quick I've literally ever seen this I swear and you know honestly like swooping stuff off the bed and I'm like I'm in my moon smells like like bounce the ass oh my god my mom's like mom's apple candle so mom had this ball sack smelling and I swear to god Famunda cheese smelling ball sack apple candle that Famunda I'm talking like straight out of the locker room digging in the nuts apple candle why it smelled that way I have no clue but we she kept that freaking candle for like 25 years and then we just realized that she got rid of it and I'm like bruh I mean I don't miss it.
- 38:56SPEAKER_01: That's just like the make Derek smell it if you got rid of it because now nobody knows what we're talking about.
- 39:02SPEAKER_01: Ballsack.
- 39:03SPEAKER_01: But anyways the Moo Moo that I bought that that night smelled like ballsack smelled like that and I don't know why it was brand new but it smelled horrible it smelled so bad.
- 39:13SPEAKER_03: And then so we're smelling this Fremunda Moo Moo we're trying to learn this beginner's crochet it was not and then we look up and there's a freaking six inch six inch cockroach over there and it's just and we're just there to have a good time right like we're trying to de-stress I know the TV says welcome LaDon and I'm like man this is nice you get a warm cookie when you check I'm like man this is nice I'm getting cozy on the bed putting on the basement yard hashtag I love the basement yard I'm just over here doom scrolling some TikTok banter brother and it was a freaking roach so we called and got moved to a different room and they were really nice about it and they're like I'm so sorry I'm still stressed the hell out at this point and my back's hurting like I can't move.
- 40:09SPEAKER_01: And now I'm scared like turn off the lights to see if cockroach comes out.
- 40:14SPEAKER_01: This broach came out with the lights on full blast.
- 40:18SPEAKER_01: That's what makes you nervous I don't fuck with broaches because they usually only come out in the dark with bugs.
- 40:24SPEAKER_01: And then you turn on the lights and you see them scattered I don't fuck with feet like we had already checked our bed for bed bugs like we were good.
- 40:31SPEAKER_03: We were set with feet D'H you hear that mom I don't fuck with feet but no that was uh the stomach bug put me out and then I had to go stay in a roach my tail and that was terrible.
- 40:44SPEAKER_03: Yeah but vacationing with kids we digress so I love watching my kids experience like new things and I really do because their dad didn't get too grown up and I obviously I did.
- 41:00SPEAKER_03: Yeah you did I did and their dad didn't go to the beach until he was 17.
- 41:04SPEAKER_01: And you're spoiled you were spoiled back you were going to concerts at like three years old like Nickelmack and Hender.
- 41:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah Taylor Swift before she got famous what I don't like her now.
- 41:18SPEAKER_01: That's a whole thing I would never take you now that's a whole thing you that's an expensive concert ticket too Yeah and I took you because you loved her you would like pretend like you were playing your Rapunzel guitar your Rapunzel guitar singing teardrops on my guitar so I'm like oh Taylor Smith's coming I gotta take you because I love you so much.
- 41:38SPEAKER_03: You took me with your best friend.
- 41:40SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 41:41SPEAKER_03: That was really fun.
- 41:42SPEAKER_03: But anyway I love watching my kids experience new stuff but I absolutely hate taking them out of town.
- 41:48SPEAKER_03: I hate taking them out of town my kids are very particular oh god and I hate taking them out of town I really do because they never sleep they're too excited and I mean I'm just I have to pick up and pack.
- 42:03SPEAKER_01: You gotta pack so much for kids.
- 42:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah like my like you have to take so much stuff to make sure that they're comfortable out of town.
- 42:12SPEAKER_01: Like you don't realize it until you're packing the stuff up like how much they actually need.
- 42:18SPEAKER_03: No because we gotta take a toddler blow up mattress we got because my kids don't sleep with me.
- 42:22SPEAKER_03: Uh we have to take a pack and play we have to take my son's favorite blanket or he will not sleep we have to take certain kind of cups because my kids are particular we have to pack snacks we have to make sure that everybody's good got chargers and everything and pack diapers and extra changes of clothes and I love them and I love watching them experience and it's all so worth it but man I should have took you need a vacation from your vacation practically when you come home just because you've got to pack so much and then like just them experiencing all that is still a lot of work.
- 42:58SPEAKER_03: Yes because my I mean my daughter she it doesn't like crowds or loud noises and she's very uh sensory you know um anyway so she doesn't like certain stuff and so taking her out in public I mean like if we go to Walmart or something she's fine but taking her out to like we went to a Winston Salem dash game and she did fine what I thought she did fine she stayed in the thing the entire time she didn't want to leave because it was too loud.
- 43:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah your kids are weird no they're just sensitive sensitive is a nice way to put it sensitive is the right way to put it nope um so anyways yeah and then like vacationing especially with small kids you have to plan around like nap time and all this stuff and I don't think that like non-parents always understand it.
- 44:10SPEAKER_01: Like plan around.
- 44:11SPEAKER_01: I know I saw it.
- 44:12SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 44:13SPEAKER_01: I didn't think you just slapped yourself for no reason.
- 44:16SPEAKER_01: There's a nap.
- 44:16SPEAKER_01: So but anyways um yeah so you gotta plan around nap schedules and when they go to bedtime and when they need like snacks and all kinds of things.
- 44:28SPEAKER_01: It's a lot of work to take kids yeah I love it.
- 44:32SPEAKER_01: And I love that they get to experience things that I may have never got to experience and things like this.
- 44:38SPEAKER_01: Like I love that I'm able to provide a different lifestyle for them than a lot of other kids get to experience but like it's still a lot of work yeah it's a lot of work it's a lot of planning yeah yeah yeah like you have to pre-think about everything that you do pack strollers or wagons or all types of stuff.
- 45:02SPEAKER_01: Because if you don't pack strollers then they end up on your husband's shoulders.
- 45:06SPEAKER_03: And I have I mean I had two under two and my kids are heavy.
- 45:11SPEAKER_03: They thick.
- 45:12SPEAKER_03: Yeah so I'm not carrying none of them.
- 45:14SPEAKER_01: My kids are fortunately light so whenever Derek has to put them on his shoulders it's not that bad.
- 45:21SPEAKER_01: Because Derek's putting them on his shoulders because I ain't want to I tried it a couple times and I'm like nope this ain't for me it's hurt my neck I carried these kids I ain't I carried these kids.
- 45:32SPEAKER_01: I ain't carrying these kids.
- 45:33SPEAKER_03: True preach.
- 45:35SPEAKER_03: Alright what's our next topic because we got I don't a few more minutes I don't know what are you thinking?
- 45:47SPEAKER_03: I don't know I do like when we take our like cousin trips like when we I went on one what are you talking about like I'm talking about the kids oh oh I thought you were talking about me uh and her cousin stiff I was like I've been on one you've been on multiple you went to Vegas with us you went to Boston with us oh ooh I love Boston I hated that experience because people without children at the time I was 16 um but also she knew she was pregnant at the time but people without children don't understand that kids need nap times we did but Derek said that he was gonna put Rowan down for a nap and that And y'all build on it.
- 46:38SPEAKER_03: No this is what happened and I have Stephanie can back me up our cousin what had happened was he had said that they're young and needed a nap so I was like okay and then we'll go explore after Rowan and so my son because he was only a few months old.
- 46:54SPEAKER_03: So we said okay he was like seven months old no he was no he was born in November we went in June we went in May no we didn't we went in June it was for Wyatt's birthday anyways I don't care so and you know we said okay so then I mean if like about an hour goes by and Derek still hasn't emerged they can't see nothing Derek still hasn't emerged from the bedroom so I I go in there and he's passed out with both kids.
- 47:25SPEAKER_03: Dude my husband if you lay if he lays down for five seconds he gone so we were like okay well well daylight's burning and so we I didn't we obviously didn't want to wake him or the kids up so we just went and ate some Italian food.
- 47:43SPEAKER_01: And then y'all also abandoned us when we went to Salem Did we?
- 47:49SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 47:49SPEAKER_01: I knew that um we were trying to do the tour and y'all just abandoned us.
- 47:55SPEAKER_01: We were walking with the tour.
- 47:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah but y'all didn't notice that my kids were freaking out and y'all just abandoned us.
- 48:04SPEAKER_03: Um that's my bad yeah it's a really good tour though we've seen the clue house from the game I wouldn't know I didn't get to finish actually you were you basically did I didn't w we only seen the clue we went right to the car yep well we seen the clue house and that was pretty cool.
- 48:24SPEAKER_03: Boston I love you and I want to go back I will not be driving because that was a terrible experience.
- 48:33SPEAKER_03: Oh you know where else it sucks to drive Pittsburgh oh god I make Derek do that I ain't but then we take my car and so I'm over here like I got I just gotta shut my eyes.
- 48:44SPEAKER_03: And the thing is if you miss an exit you have to exit out if you've never been to Pittsburgh you have to exit out of the city turn around then come back in the city.
- 48:52SPEAKER_01: Because like I'm gonna And their exits are freaking wild like you don't really know what exit you're supposed to take until it's almost too late.
- 48:58SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 48:59SPEAKER_03: It's wild.
- 49:00SPEAKER_03: And then you're about to hit somebody and they can't we wanted to go get tattoos and we they were like well y'all can just go and we were like we ain't driving.
- 49:09SPEAKER_01: No we ain't driving.
- 49:10SPEAKER_01: Nope.
- 49:11SPEAKER_01: I will wait until my husband is done with what he needs to do so he can take me.
- 49:15SPEAKER_03: Yeah that was like the passenger princess that I am.
- 49:18SPEAKER_03: Well I'll just say I ain't driving in that I ain't driving in that.
- 49:21SPEAKER_03: Especially in a football season.
- 49:22SPEAKER_01: Oh god Nope I don't even want an Uber in that 'cause then I gotta trust somebody else's driving.
- 49:29SPEAKER_01: That's not my husband.
- 49:30SPEAKER_01: But I my husband can't drive worth of crap either but I still trust it better than the Uber driver.
- 49:37SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh that's just like whenever me and um Stephanie did take an Uber in Boston Or if you get on one of those like tour buses like if you get on a tour bus in one of these big cities where it's like super crowded and you're like Holy crap we're gonna sideswipe that car.
- 49:54SPEAKER_03: But then it's not your problem.
- 49:57SPEAKER_03: I still don't want to be in a crash.
- 49:59SPEAKER_03: I don't care if it's not my problem.
- 50:02SPEAKER_03: Well it's not a your problem in an Uber either except you might just Well that's different.
- 50:07SPEAKER_03: Crashing in a bus versus crashing in a car is a whole difference is they're better.
- 50:12SPEAKER_03: In a uh it depends on the situation like I wouldn't want to get hit by a train either who wouldn't want to get hit by a train I mean nobody but I'm just saying like but if it was like a little fender bender I'd rather be in a bus.
- 50:26SPEAKER_01: There was apparently a lady trying to jump off the bridge here in Winston the other day.
- 50:30SPEAKER_01: They had to shut down the whole highway because the lady was trying to jump off a bridge I think we're losing the plot.
- 50:39SPEAKER_01: And then there was a freaking car that went through the The Marshalls I seen that and you didn't even go get decor.
- 50:48SPEAKER_03: You know what's so crazy is that me and one of my friends were actually planning on going yesterday.
- 50:52SPEAKER_03: Me and Zoe ended up we were gonna go and go to Marshall's and literally say by the bell.
- 51:01SPEAKER_01: And there's a freaking car that drove and I had to send her that TikTok and I was like girl we were gonna go Derek's like how does that even happen and I'm like I don't know like maybe you're now you think you're in reverse and you're not well not just that there's a medical emergency or there's just crazy people.
- 51:17SPEAKER_01: I just yeah I just don't they didn't just barely tap into it their whole car was in the marshalls.
- 51:25SPEAKER_01: There was some acceleration there.
- 51:28SPEAKER_03: Well and it's also crazy because right there in front of them the parking spots are always full so I'm just wondering how that happened.
- 51:33SPEAKER_03: How does it happen?
- 51:34SPEAKER_03: Unless they're already in one of the parking spots they they would have had to have been I don't know I don't know that's freaking wild.
- 51:42SPEAKER_03: But that's our local marshals and it got hit and I was a little sad.
- 51:46SPEAKER_03: I know because But I like the one by the mall better.
- 51:49SPEAKER_01: The one by the mall is better.
- 51:51SPEAKER_03: I agree there's somebody who didn't agree with me and I forgot more of a selection there.
- 51:55SPEAKER_01: That's what I'm saying.
- 51:56SPEAKER_03: I think that the one by the house is bigger but I think the one No the one by the house is not bigger.
- 52:02SPEAKER_03: I think I think the other one's bigger well I really like the other one and it it's more organized in my opinion.
- 52:09SPEAKER_01: The other one is more organized.
- 52:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah I really like that whereas the one close to the house is like very chaotic.
- 52:13SPEAKER_01: But the Walmart's the same way I hate that Walmart.
- 52:17SPEAKER_01: I hate a disorganized Walmart in general like what do you mean?
- 52:22SPEAKER_01: I hate the Walmart off of university.
- 52:27SPEAKER_01: Well it's Haynes Mill I think is what it is but it's it's awful yeah I don't really go there.
- 52:34SPEAKER_01: I don't even get my Walmart plus delivery from that store because Where do you get it?
- 52:38SPEAKER_01: I get it from the King store what if I get it from the Haynes Mill That is ludicrous if I get it from the Haynes Mill store I have way more substitutions or that they can't find it at all That is ludicrous.
- 52:54SPEAKER_01: What do you mean the King one?
- 52:55SPEAKER_01: Yep I just get it from the King one.
- 52:57SPEAKER_01: Oh because I actually get my items most of the time whoever's shopping at the one in King is doing way better than the one at the Haynes mill.
- 53:06SPEAKER_03: Well you were just saying it's pretty organized.
- 53:08SPEAKER_03: Except the Moo Moos they moved the Moo Moose I was a little pissed they did move the Moo Moos.
- 53:11SPEAKER_01: I was a little pissed they had the the fact that I had to search for this ugly crap pisses me off.
- 53:17SPEAKER_01: I think it's cute.
- 53:18SPEAKER_01: It's not mew I think it's cute.
- 53:21SPEAKER_01: It's not cute.
- 53:22SPEAKER_01: It is it is the ugliest Barbara bullshit I've ever seen I think it's cute.
- 53:27SPEAKER_03: I think it gives like 90s grandma wallpaper and where's my pocket I mean I got side pockets.
- 53:33SPEAKER_01: Oh they usually do have yeah where's my booby pocket where's my booby pocket kinda I paid the same price but I didn't get my booby pocket I feel like I'm paying for less now paying more for less I want my booby pocket or it just isn't that deep you know what it it wouldn't even be an issue I wouldn't even know that I was missing a booby pocket if you had a worn yourself to begin with but no you show up in a sweatshirt in the summertime it says game day because play today go stealers go stealers I hope they beat I hope they beat the Patriots but I don't I mean or my cousin is probably wearing a what is his name?
