  Speaker 1: Hi, everyone.
• 0:03
Speaker 2: Miss Jean here with another mini adventure series. The weather
• 0:07
Speaker 2: is cool in Discovery Mountain, and it looks like Olivia
• 0:11
Speaker 2: is at the library looking for a book to cozy
• 0:14
Speaker 2: up with. As she selects a book, she also discovers
• 0:18
Speaker 2: an unexpected adventure, one that will exercise her faith, but
• 0:24
Speaker 2: she'll need some help with it. This is part one
• 0:27
Speaker 2: of this four-part series called Lead On. Let's head to
• 0:31
Speaker 2: the library for today's episode called Hidden Thanks.
• 0:38
  Speaker 3: Thanks, Elsie.
• 0:39
Speaker 1: This book looks good. Hi, Addison.
• 0:43
Speaker 4: Hi, Mrs. Olson. Are you ready to check out your book?
• 0:46
Speaker 1: Yes, and you aren't a student at the academy anymore.
• 0:49
Speaker 1: You can call me Olivia.
• 0:51
Speaker 4: Okay, I can try that.
• 0:55
Speaker 3: Well, hello, favorite sister.
• 0:57
  Speaker 4: Only sister.
• 0:58
  Speaker 5: Hi, Jake.
• 0:59
  Speaker 1: Hi, Addison.
• 1:00
Speaker 5: Natasha asked me to return these books for her.
• 1:03
  Speaker 4: Thanks, Jake.
• 1:04
Speaker 3: What you reading, Olivia?
• 1:05
Speaker 1: Oh, it's a book about Alaska from the 1980s. Lots
• 1:09
  Speaker 1: of beautiful photos.
• 1:10
Speaker 4: Look. Nice. Oh, look.
• 1:12
Speaker 3: Somebody left a bookmark.
• 1:14
Speaker 4: We find all kinds of interesting things in books. Let's see.
• 1:19
  Speaker 1: It isn't a bookmark, exactly. It's a flyer for what
• 1:22
Speaker 1: looks like a youth group activity.
• 1:24
Speaker 4: Lead on Scavenger Hunt, Discovery Mountain Youth Group.
• 1:28
Speaker 1: The paper is aged, and the font looks like it's
• 1:30
  Speaker 1: from the 80s.
• 1:32
Speaker 5: Look at that fine print. Harmony Corner Church, September 10, 1986.
• 1:37
Speaker 4: Oh, cool. An old scavenger hunt from 40 years ago.
• 1:42
Speaker 5: The Discovery Mountain Youth Group was cool even way back then.
• 1:46
Speaker 4: Of course, Jake. We're always epic.
• 1:49
Speaker 1: I wonder what the scavenger hunt was for. It says,
• 1:52
Speaker 1: lead on, one clue at a time.
• 1:55
Speaker 3: Must have had a faith exercise.
• 1:57
Speaker 4: Yeah, but what? I hope they had fun.
• 1:59
Speaker 1: Wonder what their first clue was.
• 2:02
Speaker 5: Look, there's another bookmark.
• 2:04
  Speaker 3: Could it be?
• 2:05
Speaker 1: Oh, Jake, you're brilliant.
• 2:07
  Speaker 2: I know.
• 2:08
Speaker 4: Wait, is it an actual clue? Yes, look.
• 2:11
Speaker 1: The same font and paper type.
• 2:14
  Speaker 3: Clue number one.
• 2:16
Speaker 5: Look for Thanksgiving where broken things bend.
• 2:19
  Speaker 1: No, thanks-for-giving.
• 2:22
Speaker 4: Look for thanks-for-giving. Where broken things mend. That's a bit cryptic.
• 2:29
  Speaker 1: Thanks for giving.
• 2:30
  Speaker 4: Hmm.
• 2:31
  Speaker 3: I don't know.
• 2:32
Speaker 1: Where broken things mend? Where could that be?
• 2:35
Speaker 4: Hmm. The repair shop in Grizzly? Nah.
• 2:40
Speaker 5: A youth director wouldn't send the youth off to Grizzly Mountain.
• 2:43
Speaker 5: Especially not back in those days.
• 2:45
Speaker 1: What ounce breaks and needs to be repaired besides cars?
• 2:48
Speaker 4: Plumbing breaks. Cupboards break. But then a repair person comes
• 2:52
  Speaker 4: to you.
• 2:53
  Speaker 1: Bones break.
• 2:54
Speaker 4: Jake, that's it. The hospital.
• 2:56
  Speaker 1: Brilliant.
• 2:57
Speaker 4: That's me. Fun. If this were 1986, we'd run right over.
• 3:02
Speaker 5: Well, I've got to run right over to the Harmony
• 3:04
Speaker 5: Corner Church. I have a meeting with Reader.
• 3:06
  Speaker 3: See ya.
• 3:08
  Speaker 1: See ya, Jake.
• 3:10
Speaker 4: You don't think the next clue is still out there,
• 3:13
  Speaker 4: do you?
• 3:14
Speaker 1: I mean, it's been 40 years. The clues would have
• 3:17
Speaker 1: to be hidden in things that were around back then.
• 3:19
Speaker 1: It's not possible, right?
• 3:21
Speaker 4: It's unlikely. It's unlikely. But impossible?
• 3:26
  Speaker 1: Should we?
• 3:26
Speaker 4: I'll grab my coat.
• 3:29
Speaker 1: Lead on to the hospital.
• 3:31
Speaker 4: I know, Elsie. It's wild, but fun. Help the library customers,
• 3:36
  Speaker 4: all right?
• 3:44
Speaker 1: Look for thanks for giving, not Thanksgiving.
• 3:47
Speaker 4: And something that has been here since the 1980s.
• 3:50
  Speaker 3: Hey, guys.
• 3:52
Speaker 4: Cyrus, you're just in time to help.
• 3:54
Speaker 3: What's your medical emergency?
• 3:56
  Speaker 4: Youth group emergency.
• 3:57
Speaker 1: Look, we found a flyer from a scavenger hunt from
• 4:00
  Speaker 1: 40 years ago.
• 4:01
  Speaker 4: Oh, fun.
• 4:02
  Speaker 3: Lead on.
• 4:03
Speaker 4: The first clue said to look where broken things meant.
• 4:07
Speaker 4: And we think it might be the hospital.
• 4:10
  Speaker 3: Oh, clever.
• 4:11
Speaker 4: Would the next clue still be here?
• 4:14
Speaker 3: This hospital is sanitized top to bottom daily. A piece
• 4:18
Speaker 3: of paper wouldn't just be lying around for 40 years.
• 4:21
  Speaker 4: Yeah, it's unlikely.
• 4:23
Speaker 1: Unless it's inside or behind something.
• 4:26
Speaker 3: Okay, now I see. Let's see the clue again. Look
• 4:32
Speaker 3: for thanks for giving.
• 4:35
Speaker 4: Look around. What's been here since the 1980s and is
• 4:39
  Speaker 4: thanks for giving?
• 4:42
Speaker 3: We have a lot of donors who give money to
• 4:44
  Speaker 3: support the hospital.
• 4:45
Speaker 1: And how are they thanked?
• 4:47
Speaker 3: Lots of ways, but... Oh, look, down that hall. I
• 4:52
Speaker 3: have to get back to the lab But I think
• 4:54
Speaker 3: your answer might be down there.
• 4:56
  Speaker 4: Thanks, Cyrus.
• 4:59
  Speaker 1: Down this hall?
• 5:01
Speaker 4: There are plaques hanging on the wall. Oh! Oh, donor
• 5:05
Speaker 4: thank you plaques. Look for 1986.
• 5:07
  Speaker 2: 2000s.
• 5:07
  Speaker 3: 1990s.
• 5:07
  Speaker 4: 1980s.
• 5:07
  Speaker 3: Here.
• 5:07
Speaker 4: Here, 1986. There are three, but a note couldn't fit
• 5:11
Speaker 4: inside a plaque. Look behind them. Did they tape it
• 5:23
  Speaker 4: to the back?
• 5:24
Speaker 1: Let's see. No, nothing.
• 5:28
Speaker 4: Too bad. Wait, wait. If this hunt was in 1986,
• 5:34
Speaker 4: these plaques might not have been hung up yet. We
• 5:37
Speaker 4: need to try 1985. Just one for 1985. It's to
• 5:38
  Speaker 4: a Harrison family.
• 5:39
Speaker 1: It says, And behind it?
• 5:53
  Speaker 5: Olivia!
• 5:54
  Speaker 1: No, a clue?
• 5:55
Speaker 4: It's still here after all these years.
• 5:58
Speaker 1: What does it say?
• 6:00
Speaker 4: Look beyond the platform where student voices are raised.
• 6:04
Speaker 1: Look beyond the platform where student voices are raised.
• 6:08
Speaker 4: The next clue couldn't be out there still, could it?
• 6:12
Speaker 1: Only one way to find out.
• 6:14
  Speaker 3: Lead on.
• 6:14
Speaker 4: A scavenger hunt from 40 years ago.
• 6:21
Speaker 2: This is a fun adventure for Olivia and Addison. They're
• 6:24
Speaker 2: working together, found Cyrus to help, and are having to
• 6:28
Speaker 2: use their powers of observation.
• 6:31
Speaker 4: Will they find the next clue?
• 6:33
Speaker 2: Well, the Bible verse on the plaque showed thankfulness to
• 6:36
Speaker 2: the hospital supporters. Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for
• 6:40
Speaker 2: He is good, for His mercy endures forever. That's Psalm 107,
• 6:45
Speaker 2: verse 1. We can give thanks to God for His

Speaker 2: generosity every day. Join us back here next time as
