- 0:00Speaker 1: It's heard of what he praise party. I am Sherry macke.
- 0:03Speaker 1: It is time for today's word, chosen by grace, called
- 0:08Speaker 1: for purpose. Acts nine fifteen says, But the Lord said
- 0:11Speaker 1: to Antonius, go this man is my chosen instrument to
- 0:15Speaker 1: proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their king, and
- 0:19Speaker 1: to the people of Israel. One of the enemy's greatest
- 0:23Speaker 1: lives is convincing people that their mistakes have disqualified them
- 0:27Speaker 1: from God's purpose. He whispers, you fel too many times,
- 0:31Speaker 1: You made too many bad decisions. God could never use
- 0:34Speaker 1: someone like you. See, But the story of Saul proves
- 0:38Speaker 1: that God's grace is greater than I passed. When we
- 0:41Speaker 1: first meet Saul in the scripture, he is not a
- 0:45Speaker 1: hero of faith. He is a fierce opponent of Christianity.
- 0:49Speaker 1: He actively persecuted believers, approved of their imprisonment and sault
- 0:54Speaker 1: to destroy the early Church. If anyone seemed unlikely to
- 0:58Speaker 1: be used by God, it was yet God saw something
- 1:03Speaker 1: that nobody else could see. While others saw a persecutor,
- 1:06Speaker 1: God saw a preacher, while others saw a destroyer. God
- 1:09Speaker 1: saw a builder, while others saw a man defined by
- 1:12Speaker 1: his past. God saw a man destined for purpose. See
- 1:16Speaker 1: a Saul traveled toward Damascus with authority to arrest Christians.
- 1:20Speaker 1: God interrupted his journey with a blinding light from heaven.
- 1:24Speaker 1: In a single moment, everything changed. Saul encountered Jesus personally,
- 1:29Speaker 1: and that encounter transformed his life forever. The man who
- 1:33Speaker 1: once opposed the Gospel became one of the greatest champions
- 1:36Speaker 1: of the Gospel. Saul became Paul the apostle, who carried
- 1:42Speaker 1: the message of Christ throughout the known world. He planted
- 1:45Speaker 1: churches and encouraged believers, endured hardships, and wrote most of
- 1:50Speaker 1: the New Testament. The man, the very man that people
- 1:53Speaker 1: thought God could never use, became one of the most
- 1:56Speaker 1: influential service in Christian history. What does that tell us?
- 2:01Speaker 1: It tells us that God is not limited by our
- 2:03Speaker 1: past failures. Your mistakes did not surprise him. Your setbacks
- 2:08Speaker 1: did not cancel his purpose. Your disappointments have not altered
- 2:11Speaker 1: his plan. God does not consult your past to determine
- 2:15Speaker 1: your future. He sees beyond where you've been and looks
- 2:18Speaker 1: at where you're going and who you can become through
- 2:22Speaker 1: His grace. See, perhaps you made choices you regret. Perhaps
- 2:26Speaker 1: you've wandered off course and feel unworthy of God's favor.
- 2:29Speaker 1: I want you to take heart today. The same God
- 2:32Speaker 1: who called Saul a chosen vessel is still calling ordinary
- 2:37Speaker 1: people and to extraordinary purpose. You're not defined by your
- 2:41Speaker 1: worst mistakes. You're not limited by yesterday's failures. You're not
- 2:45Speaker 1: disqualified because of where you've been. God's mercy is writing
- 2:49Speaker 1: a new chapter. The question is not whether God can
- 2:53Speaker 1: use you. The question is whether you'll believe what He
- 2:57Speaker 1: says about you. Let me tell you what it is.
- 2:59Speaker 1: He says you're chosen, he says you're called, he says
- 3:02Speaker 1: you're valuable, and God still has purpose for your life. Father,
- 3:07Speaker 1: thank you for your amazing grace and mercy. Thank you
- 3:10Speaker 1: that you see beyond our failures. You see beyond our
- 3:13Speaker 1: weakness and mistakes. Oh, help us to see ourselves through
- 3:16Speaker 1: your eyes and not through the lens of our past.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Give us the courage to embrace the purpose you have
- 3:21Speaker 1: for our lives, and faith to believe that you're still
- 3:24Speaker 1: working on us. Oh God, we declare that we are
- 3:27Speaker 1: chosen vessels, created for your glory and called according to
- 3:31Speaker 1: your purpose in Jesus' name. Hey, now that's your word.
- 3:34Speaker 1: For today, take it applied to your everyday life, and
- 3:36Speaker 1: you continue to be encouraged and inspired. It's your early
- 3:39Speaker 1: What He Praise Party. I am Sherry Mackie
