- 0:00Heavenly Father, I used to find words for prayer
- 0:04more easily. Today, I have been sitting here,
- 0:10wondering how to begin. There are things I asked
- 0:14you for that did not happen. There are questions
- 0:17I have carried for longer than I expected. Sometimes,
- 0:22I hear other people speak with certainty, and
- 0:25I wonder why faith feels so difficult for me.
- 0:31But I am here. This quiet moment is what I can
- 0:37offer. Help me bring you an honest heart. You
- 0:43know the disappointment beneath my questions.
- 0:46You know what hope would change and how deeply
- 0:49that hope mattered. Help me acknowledge the pain
- 0:53without feeling that I must hide it from you.
- 0:59Give me courage, what is true, even when the
- 1:04words unfinished. Father, I do not want to force
- 1:12an explanation onto something I still do not
- 1:15understand. Help me resist easy answers that
- 1:21silence a question. without truly addressing
- 1:24it. Lead me toward people who will listen patiently,
- 1:31take my concerns seriously, and help me explore
- 1:35them with care. Give me humility, learn, and
- 1:44ask. Jesus, when I read about your encounters
- 1:49with people who were frightened, grieving, or
- 1:53uncertain, help me pay attention. Let me know
- 1:59if you're sure, Papash, and then you gave to
- 2:03those who came near. Teach me to approach you
- 2:09with the faith I have today. Perhaps my prayer
- 2:13is small. Perhaps it will be a request for help.
- 2:21Receive it, Lord, and guide me from here. Father,
- 2:29I confess that I sometimes measure your love
- 2:33by whether life follows my plans. When things
- 2:37go well, gratitude comes quickly. When they become
- 2:42pit, I begin to wonder whether I have been forgotten
- 2:48in that struggle. Help me remember the people
- 2:57who've cared for me, the wisdom I have received.
- 3:01and the moments when prayer gave me room to breathe
- 3:04and think. Let me remember, honestly, without
- 3:11pretending that every difficult experience has
- 3:16already become clear. Show me where exonestion
- 3:20is making, and scoot this distant, distant, help
- 3:27me care for the ordinary needs I may have neglected.
- 3:33Give me wisdom to rest, receive nourishment,
- 3:38and speak to someone trustworthy when I need
- 3:42practical, professional support. Help me seek
- 3:47it without treating as a failure of faith. Teach
- 3:54me to receive care with gratitude. Father, I
- 4:01also bring you the hurt caused by people who
- 4:04spoke in your name. Some words have made it harder
- 4:07to pray. Some actions have left me on something
- 4:12about. Give me the sermon to recognize accountability,
- 4:21kindness, respect. Lead me toward a community.
- 4:28Requestance can be discussed thoughtfully. And
- 4:31people are treated with dignity. Help me set
- 4:36boundaries. where they are needed. Keep me open
- 4:42to relationship that show consistent care. Jesus,
- 4:49guide me toward a simple practice. I can sustain
- 4:53a few moments of prayer, a short passage of scripture,
- 4:59red attentive, an honest conversation, an act
- 5:04of kindness done without an audience. Help me
- 5:08begin, gently. When I miss a day, I become distracted.
- 5:19Help me return without turning the interruption
- 5:22into a judgment about my whole life. Lord, I
- 5:28pray for the person listening, who feels ashamed
- 5:31of their doubts. Give them someone safe to speak
- 5:35with. For the person who has continued praying
- 5:40through grief, bring comfort and dependence.
- 5:47For the person trying to separate your character
- 5:51from another person's harmful behavior, bring
- 5:55wise support. Help us become patient with one
- 5:59another. Let us listen before offering an answer,
- 6:06and avoid speaking, as though we understand the
- 6:09problem. Father, while I continue asking questions,
- 6:24help me live with integrity. Let me be honest
- 6:29in my work. Show me something good. There may
- 6:47be someone I can incur responsibility. I can
- 7:03feel that these ordinary choices. Thank you for
- 7:10the freedom without finding polished words. Thank
- 7:17you for the people.
