FLORILEGIUM - 22. Autumn Journal
Antonia and Kate return with Louis MacNiece, to discuss parts of his long poem ‘Autumn Journal’ the lure of romanticism and why we shouldn’t be taken in completely. We read from Romans 8:22-27 for the feast of St Theresa of Avila and discuss the concept of time in relation to gardening and how gardens naturally challenge our typical perceptions of productivity and efficiency.
Florilegium is a programme on Radio Maria which seeks to weave together liturgy, literature and gardening in rambling, hopefully fruitful ways. It is written and presented by Kate Banks and Antonia Shack.
