- 0:03Speaker 1: On scoring lis Oustrodia.
- 0:05Speaker 2: This is the Winder Paney Show.
- 0:10Speaker 3: Good evening and welcome to the readA Panahy Show. Coming
- 0:13Speaker 3: up tonight. One of the most influential voices in new media,
- 0:16Speaker 3: Patrick bed David joins the program for the first time
- 0:20Speaker 3: and we'll speak about everything from his relationship with Donald
- 0:23Speaker 3: Trump to some of his most viral interviews. Protests breakout
- 0:28Speaker 3: in Belfast following a horrific beheading attempt. My panel will
- 0:32Speaker 3: join me to discuss that in the day's other top headlines,
- 0:36Speaker 3: and later in the hour, the Great Josh Hammer will
- 0:38Speaker 3: have the latest from the US, including the guilty verdict
- 0:42Speaker 3: in the Carmelo Anthony case and Left He's Losing. It
- 0:46Speaker 3: features a socialist celebrating the La meryoral election through the
- 0:51Speaker 3: medium of dance, but for its Protests have broken out
- 1:01Speaker 3: in Belfast following a horrific beheading attempt allegedly committed by
- 1:05Speaker 3: a Sudanese asylum seeker. A local man in his forties
- 1:09Speaker 3: was pinned down in the street before being repeatedly stabbed,
- 1:12Speaker 3: suffering wounds to his eyes, his back, and his face.
- 1:16Speaker 3: The graphic video shows an attacker slicing the neck of
- 1:20Speaker 3: the man as he yells aluakba and God is Great
- 1:24Speaker 3: in English and Arabic. A thirty year old Sudanese man
- 1:28Speaker 3: has been charged with attempted murder nor that Ireland Police
- 1:32Speaker 3: confirmed the suspect had traveled from Sudan to Paris and
- 1:35Speaker 3: then from Paris to Dublin. He then took a bus
- 1:38Speaker 3: and arrived in Belfast in February of twenty twenty three.
- 1:42Speaker 3: He immediately claimed asylum and was given leave to remain
- 1:46Speaker 3: in the UK. In September twenty twenty three, following the attack,
- 1:50Speaker 3: protesters took to the streets of Belfast, torching a bus
- 1:54Speaker 3: and other vehicles and blocking arterial roads. Joining me now
- 1:59Speaker 3: is one name. Senator Sean Bell and Sky News contributor
- 2:02Speaker 3: prou Mix Sweden pro I'll start with you. The anger
- 2:06Speaker 3: is palpable, there's no denying that. And it's anger not
- 2:10Speaker 3: just directed at the alleged attacker here, but also authorities.
- 2:14Speaker 3: And it's i think, very similar to the anger we
- 2:17Speaker 3: saw after the Henry Novak footage was released.
- 2:21Speaker 4: It's based on two things. Rito the fact that UK
- 2:26Speaker 4: has this open door policy and it's importing so much
- 2:30Speaker 4: trouble alienation. We've seen the rape gangs, the assaults on
- 2:37Speaker 4: white people. It's two tiered policing very much so, where
- 2:42Speaker 4: they have a set of rules for the migrants and
- 2:44Speaker 4: a set of rules for everyone else. This is despicable.
- 2:49Speaker 4: I think that we're at the stage now where people
- 2:52Speaker 4: have just had enough, not just over there, but here too.
- 2:55Speaker 3: And this is the wave that's right.
- 2:58Speaker 4: Pauline's riding on. But you know, it's a suicidal empathy
- 3:03Speaker 4: for migration that we're all suffering. We're seeing around the
- 3:07Speaker 4: world and sadly it's turn toxic and it's not working.
- 3:13Speaker 4: So we see this tragedy here and we understand why
- 3:17Speaker 4: it's happening, and it's going to happen more and more
- 3:20Speaker 4: unless the police, who are so consumed with DEI I
- 3:23Speaker 4: don't realize that the e part is equity in treating
- 3:28Speaker 4: whites and migrants equally.
- 3:32Speaker 3: Sean the First Minister of Northern Ireland, Michelle O'Neill, has
- 3:37Speaker 3: slammed these protesters. She's call them racist and disgusting. I'm
- 3:43Speaker 3: not sure how effective that is going to be in
- 3:45Speaker 3: restoring order. Anyone who sees footage of this attack, and
- 3:50Speaker 3: we've obviously have had to blur the footage, it is
- 3:54Speaker 3: so graphic and so disturbing. Anyone who's seen that is
- 3:58Speaker 3: understandably going to be appalled. And if there's been a
- 4:01Speaker 3: history of authorities not listening to people when it comes
- 4:05Speaker 3: to mass migration, when it comes to policing, you can
- 4:09Speaker 3: kind of understand some of that sentiment we're seeing out
- 4:12Speaker 3: on the streets.
- 4:15Speaker 5: One hundred percent.
- 4:16Speaker 2: But it's seen this is what the left does in Australia,
- 4:18Speaker 2: and it appears this is what the left does all
- 4:20Speaker 2: over the world. Something that occurs and they immediately attempt
- 4:24Speaker 2: to shut it down, to silence it, and to use
- 4:27Speaker 2: name calling to attack people, insult them, saying you shouldn't
- 4:30Speaker 2: be upset about this, you're racist, which is absurd. There
- 4:33Speaker 2: is no sane reality in which a fello from Sa'dan
- 4:39Speaker 2: should be an island yelling ala akbar, attempting to cut
- 4:43Speaker 2: off another man's head. This is the end result of
- 4:47Speaker 2: failed government policy. It's the end result of the blind
- 4:51Speaker 2: adoption of a term called multiculturalism, which one nation rejects.
- 4:56Speaker 2: We should be an Australian society, we should not be
- 4:59Speaker 2: a multico. So we should believe in one value, one country,
- 5:03Speaker 2: one flag, and we should make no apologies for it.
- 5:06Speaker 2: We should ensure that people are vetted and make no
- 5:09Speaker 2: apologies about it. We should be strict and we should
- 5:11Speaker 2: make no apologies about it because people should simply not
- 5:15Speaker 2: be being attacked and stabbed, attempted to be beheaded in
- 5:18Speaker 2: the streets. That should never occur. And One Nation will
- 5:22Speaker 2: take a hardline stance on this. We will not be
- 5:25Speaker 2: quiet and we're not going to let your government. We're
- 5:27Speaker 2: not going to let Labor shut us down with words
- 5:31Speaker 2: like racist and Australian people won't let that happen anymore.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Well, I think that whole strategy isn't what it used
- 5:40Speaker 3: to be used to be able to frighten people, intimidate
- 5:44Speaker 3: them into silence by claims of racism and bigotry. But
- 5:47Speaker 3: I think we've moved well past that point now. One
- 5:51Speaker 3: Nation has begun a ad blitz against Labor in response
- 5:55Speaker 3: to the government's plea for money from supporters. We saw
- 5:58Speaker 3: Labor headquarters post an ad campaign to Instagram and Facebook
- 6:03Speaker 3: which asked for twenty seven dollars, an interesting amount to
- 6:07Speaker 3: prevent One Nation from turning polling momentum into seats. Well,
- 6:11Speaker 3: Pauline Hanson's party has return serve and is seeking twenty
- 6:15Speaker 3: nine dollar donations in its bit too, I quote fire
- 6:19Speaker 3: the liar shored one Nation has already raised around three
- 6:24Speaker 3: hundred thousand, over three hundred thousand and promises to use
- 6:27Speaker 3: these funds on billboards, TV and radio ads to our slabor.
- 6:32Speaker 3: But is Pauline Hanson being a hypocrite here because she
- 6:35Speaker 3: criticized Labour's strategy and she's employed it herself.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Look, I'll just give you a quick fact check Therereta,
- 6:43Speaker 2: because I've just checked and it's raised over well over
- 6:47Speaker 2: half a million dollars down. I just want to say
- 6:50Speaker 2: every single going up quick about ten thousand dollars every
- 6:54Speaker 2: couple of minutes. So to every single person who has donated,
- 6:58Speaker 2: I just want to say thank you on behalf of
- 6:59Speaker 2: the part. And I just I think what this shows
- 7:02Speaker 2: is the white hot anger that exists in the Australian
- 7:06Speaker 2: public at the Prime Minister because of the.
- 7:09Speaker 5: Lies he has told, the relentless lies.
- 7:12Speaker 2: He lied about the capital gains tax changes, he lied
- 7:15Speaker 2: about bringing down your power bills.
- 7:17Speaker 5: He has lied over and over again and they have
- 7:19Speaker 5: gotten away with it. But not anymore.
- 7:22Speaker 2: And so just like we're not gonna apologize for making
- 7:24Speaker 2: sure the strains are safe.
- 7:26Speaker 5: We're not gonna apologize for returning fire on this.
- 7:28Speaker 2: If they want to play games, then will say, you
- 7:31Speaker 2: know what, that's how they feel. This is how we feel.
- 7:33Speaker 2: We feel like it's time to fire the liar. And
- 7:36Speaker 2: if you would like to help one nation get rid
- 7:38Speaker 2: of this terrible labor government and this terrible prime minister,
- 7:41Speaker 2: well here's how your help. To all those people who
- 7:43Speaker 2: have helped, thank you very much.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Well Copo. The Copo Kabana residents are getting into the mood.
- 7:52Speaker 3: I don't know if they're donating money pro but they
- 7:54Speaker 3: are having a bit of a sticker campaign around town.
- 7:57Speaker 3: Have a look, I.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Get it around, I get it around.
- 8:02Speaker 6: Get around.
- 8:10Speaker 3: Yes, fifty lies, the fifty times that he told us
- 8:14Speaker 3: though there weren't going to be any changes to negative
- 8:16Speaker 3: gearing in capital gains tax. True, it seems the electorate
- 8:20Speaker 3: is not in a forgiving mood. It's unlikely to forget
- 8:24Speaker 3: that massive lie before the last election.
- 8:27Speaker 4: No, and the hundreds of others to you know, I mean,
- 8:31Speaker 4: this is seems to.
- 8:33Speaker 3: Be labor one, oh one of lying.
- 8:35Speaker 4: But what I find amusing is the thought that there's
- 8:39Speaker 4: panic stations in the PMO office where the pimply faced
- 8:44Speaker 4: twenty year olds who are charged with all their social
- 8:47Speaker 4: media coming up with all these smart ass sort of
- 8:51Speaker 4: memes and you know, Instagram posts are being played with
- 8:56Speaker 4: their own game by Pauline. You know, and the Labor
- 9:01Speaker 4: Party has been so used to a moribund Liberal party
- 9:04Speaker 4: which you know only has just recently discovered social media.
- 9:08Speaker 4: So to actually have someone smart who's really reaching and
- 9:14Speaker 4: resonating with the audiences is wonderful to see. And more
- 9:19Speaker 4: of it, please Pauline, because it's the only way we're
- 9:22Speaker 4: going to kick this shocking government out.
- 9:26Speaker 3: It will be interesting to see what happens in Melbourne
- 9:29Speaker 3: Friday night, because the hard left Marxists are determined to
- 9:34Speaker 3: intimidate One Nation leader Pauline Hanson and her supporters listen
- 9:38Speaker 3: to this character claim that he's fighting fascism.
- 9:43Speaker 7: What happens on Friday will go down in history. And
- 9:46Speaker 7: the people of Melbourne have two choices. Auction one is
- 9:48Speaker 7: that Pauline Hanson and bind Me Voice get to set
- 9:51Speaker 7: up a One Nation Breton, one of Australia's most left
- 9:53Speaker 7: wing and working class of it. They get to view
- 9:56Speaker 7: the hateful virating the trial un appears to creating fertile
- 10:00Speaker 7: around for One Nation to win November Stix election. Option
- 10:03Speaker 7: too is that we turn Melbourne into a bastion of
- 10:05Speaker 7: anti fascist resistance. We floated into the streets in our thousands,
- 10:09Speaker 7: disrupting her meeting and showing that workers in migrants won't
- 10:12Speaker 7: take any more of Haasan's attacks. One Nation is a
- 10:15Speaker 7: serious threat in Australian politics. Friday night is they'll chance
- 10:18Speaker 7: to find back.
- 10:21Speaker 3: The planned protest is in direct response to a major
- 10:24Speaker 3: One Nation fundraiser which is taking place Friday evening in
- 10:29Speaker 3: the Melbourne suburb of Mooney Ponds. Sean will One Nation
- 10:33Speaker 3: supporters be intimidated. No one wants to be in a
- 10:38Speaker 3: tussle or be verbally abused by hard left activists.
- 10:45Speaker 2: The sad reality is rita that if you're a long
- 10:47Speaker 2: term One Nation supporter, then you're used to this. We're
- 10:50Speaker 2: used to copping the verbal abuse. We're used to trying
- 10:52Speaker 2: to man poling booze. So you have people with funny
- 10:55Speaker 2: colored hair, work more past and they'll they'll just speak
- 10:57Speaker 2: to or they'll insult you.
- 10:58Speaker 5: So we're quite used to it.
- 11:00Speaker 2: But I want to be just clear about what we
- 11:02Speaker 2: just heard because it's easy to sort of dismiss these
- 11:05Speaker 2: fellas as Kooch saw looneys, but that was that attempt
- 11:09Speaker 2: to basically say, we are going to come and use
- 11:12Speaker 2: violence to silence you.
- 11:14Speaker 5: That's the reality. That is what they said.
- 11:16Speaker 2: They are going to come, threaten, intimidate, and then they
- 11:20Speaker 2: dress that up as anti fascism. The last time I checked,
- 11:24Speaker 2: using physical violence to shut down your political opponent's right
- 11:28Speaker 2: to exist and speak, that is a very definition of fascism.
- 11:32Speaker 2: And that is quite amusing too, because quite often you'll
- 11:36Speaker 2: see the Prime Minister come out and say, well, it's
- 11:37Speaker 2: time to turn the temperature down. And yet when we
- 11:40Speaker 2: see these threats essentially of violence leveled against Senator Hansen,
- 11:45Speaker 2: we don't hear a lot of criticism from the Prime Minister.
- 11:48Speaker 2: So look, I mean and look, one nation, We're used
- 11:50Speaker 2: to it. We're not going to be intimidated. It will
- 11:52Speaker 2: go ahead. They tried to shut down the movie with
- 11:54Speaker 2: the same type of tactics. It hasn't worked. It hasn't
- 11:56Speaker 2: worked for thirty years. But I really hope people reflect
- 11:59Speaker 2: and they start think, well, if we're the ones using
- 12:01Speaker 2: violence to try and silence their opponents, are we the
- 12:04Speaker 2: good guys have a good life, good hard think about that.
- 12:06Speaker 3: Please, Now before you go, Prue, I'm interested to get
- 12:11Speaker 3: your take on this campaign against Tony Abbott. We've got Labored,
- 12:16Speaker 3: the Greens, the Tills, they're all seem to be running
- 12:19Speaker 3: some sort of a scare campaign about Tony Abbott's return
- 12:22Speaker 3: to the Liberal Party. Here is Monique Ryan launching a
- 12:26Speaker 3: rather hysterical attack against the former pim.
- 12:29Speaker 8: Angus Taylor's doing his obeying his dictates, and people need
- 12:34Speaker 8: to understand that, you know, if they support the Liberal Party,
- 12:37Speaker 8: they're going to get Tony Abbott, who is you know,
- 12:39Speaker 8: in many restrict specs at TIMU Trump. And you know,
- 12:43Speaker 8: I guess it's probably good that people understand that a
- 12:46Speaker 8: couple of years out from a federal election, Tony Abbott
- 12:49Speaker 8: is pulling the strings and he's determining the direction of
- 12:52Speaker 8: the federal Liberal Party.
- 12:53Speaker 3: Prove the fear and loathing of Tony Abbot is interesting.
- 12:58Speaker 3: If he's so terrible, then shouldn't they be happy the
- 13:01Speaker 3: Libs will not prosper with him as federal president. I
- 13:05Speaker 3: was as bad as they say.
- 13:06Speaker 4: These Sheilas are so obsessed with Abbott, aren't they?
- 13:10Speaker 5: You know?
- 13:11Speaker 4: Because they know how effective he is as a campaigner.
- 13:14Speaker 4: And what I find amusing is that they're the puppets
- 13:17Speaker 4: of Simon Holmes are called in all the climate two
- 13:20Speaker 4: hundred jerks around and you know what have they ever achieved?
- 13:24Speaker 4: You know, they may be taking their orders from these people,
- 13:28Speaker 4: but they've never achieved anything. And I say.
- 13:31Speaker 3: We'll bring it on.
- 13:32Speaker 4: The more that Monique Ryan and all of these teal
- 13:35Speaker 4: tarts winge and carry on, the better it will be.
- 13:39Speaker 4: I think they'll just walk straight to probably one nation,
- 13:43Speaker 4: the voters, or back to the Libs, because they're just
- 13:47Speaker 4: ineffective opportunists as far as I'm concerned.
- 13:53Speaker 3: Prue McSween, Sean Bell, thank you so much for your
- 13:55Speaker 3: time tonight. Now it's time for lefties losing it. Let's
- 14:00Speaker 3: start in La with a supporter of socialist Nthia Rahman
- 14:05Speaker 3: dancing for joy, exactly as I expected, a lot like this.
- 14:16Speaker 3: Next last UK Green candidate Sarah Wakefield, whose performance here
- 14:22Speaker 3: is just deplorable, just a terrible mix of ego and idiocy.
- 14:28Speaker 3: Watch your scoff at the notion. Then migrants need to
- 14:31Speaker 3: live somewhere, and hence high rates of migration has a
- 14:36Speaker 3: direct impact on housing.
- 14:38Speaker 8: The idea of blaming our housing crisis on immigration is
- 14:42Speaker 8: absolutely wild to me.
- 14:44Speaker 3: Actually, do you think that.
- 14:46Speaker 9: You've got an extra ten to twenty million people come
- 14:48Speaker 9: in the country.
- 14:49Speaker 3: You think that if do you think they eat an.
- 14:53Speaker 8: Extra ten million people is going to have an effect
- 14:55Speaker 8: on How do you.
- 14:56Speaker 7: Think that if you lock down our borders, we're going
- 14:58Speaker 7: to solve the housing crisis.
- 15:00Speaker 1: It's not going to sort.
- 15:00Speaker 9: The thing is, the more people having a country, the
- 15:02Speaker 9: more houses you're going to need.
- 15:03Speaker 5: And it might sound he's really going to explaining.
- 15:05Speaker 4: Things, don't.
- 15:08Speaker 3: Yeah, it's painful. She really does exemplify everything wrong with
- 15:15Speaker 3: the left, performative vacuous nonsense to New York Now, and
- 15:21Speaker 3: the locals were rioting after the Knicks lost Game three.
- 15:25Speaker 3: The biggest watch party at Brian Park got aggressive and
- 15:29Speaker 3: it got rowdy as an estimated seven thousand fans packed
- 15:33Speaker 3: that arena and this area.
- 15:35Speaker 9: That is yeah, and this morning we know twenty one
- 15:37Speaker 9: people were arrested for their behavior last night.
- 15:48Speaker 3: And of course the usual suspects were blaming you guessed it,
- 15:52Speaker 3: Donald Trump for the Knicks losing to San Antonio. And
- 15:56Speaker 3: there was this from Charmalaine the Gold that's what he
- 16:00Speaker 3: calls himself. He blamed President Trump for the loss of joy.
- 16:04Speaker 10: Donald Trump wasn't responsible for the loss of the game,
- 16:07Speaker 10: but he was responsible for the loss of joy that
- 16:11Speaker 10: the New York Knicks fans had been feeling. One of
- 16:13Speaker 10: the greatest things about this whole playoff run, this finals run,
- 16:17Speaker 10: is watching the joy that Knicks fans have. I've never
- 16:21Speaker 10: seen anything like it in New York City. Okay, not
- 16:23Speaker 10: for the Yankees, not for the Giants. There's nothing like
- 16:26Speaker 10: when the Knickson winning and Donald Trump came here yesterday and.
- 16:29Speaker 5: Sucked the joy out of the city.
- 16:32Speaker 3: These people really are ridiculous and stave and a smith.
- 16:36Speaker 3: He has a lunch, his lesson. He had another go,
- 16:40Speaker 3: this time pushing the fake news that the President was
- 16:44Speaker 3: snoozing through the game.
- 16:45Speaker 10: I'm not gonna accuse him of snoring because I wasn't an.
- 16:48Speaker 4: Earshot, But the brother wasn't awake.
- 16:52Speaker 7: He wasn't awake.
- 16:54Speaker 3: If it was that important for you to be there.
- 16:57Speaker 5: Why did you look like you were asleep?
- 17:00Speaker 10: Team that you have supported throughout the years, you turned
- 17:03Speaker 10: your back on them.
- 17:04Speaker 11: That's what you did for your own selfish narcissistic motives.
- 17:09Speaker 3: Now, President Trump was asked about Stephen A. Smith, who
- 17:13Speaker 3: reportedly wants to be president one day.
- 17:16Speaker 9: And collator Steven E.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Smith, who was talking about running for president, said he
- 17:20Speaker 1: would blame you if the NIXT laugh again.
- 17:22Speaker 12: How do you respond about I think he's a nice guy,
- 17:26Speaker 12: but you need a certain aptitude to run for president.
- 17:29Speaker 3: You need a high IQ. I'm not sure that Stephen
- 17:31Speaker 3: has that.
- 17:33Speaker 12: I don't think he does.
- 17:34Speaker 3: Actually to Texas now, where a jury has convicted Carmelo
- 17:38Speaker 3: Anthony for the fatal stabbing of Austin Metcalf at a
- 17:42Speaker 3: track meet. The crime was horrific, a beautiful young life
- 17:46Speaker 3: cut short. But also shocking has been the number of
- 17:51Speaker 3: people barracking for a killer. It's like O. J. Simpson
- 17:54Speaker 3: two point zero, with scores of people who should know
- 17:58Speaker 3: better treating Carmelo Anthony like a victim. Watch this mom
- 18:03Speaker 3: who doesn't know what she's going to say to her sons.
- 18:06Speaker 3: What do you want us to do? What do you
- 18:08Speaker 3: want us to do? At this point?
- 18:10Speaker 1: What?
- 18:11Speaker 3: I'm last one? I don't know what to do. I
- 18:13Speaker 3: got five boys, I don't know why, I ain't got another.
- 18:16Speaker 3: Tell them normal, you can't walk away normal. I don't know. Lady,
- 18:20Speaker 3: Maybe tell them not to go around stabbing people to death.
- 18:24Speaker 3: Maybe don't take a knife to attract meet, maybe don't
- 18:27Speaker 3: instigate a clash and then commit murder or valuable lessons. Look,
- 18:32Speaker 3: there is too much depressing footage of lefties losing it
- 18:36Speaker 3: today after this verdict, And I'm just going to play
- 18:38Speaker 3: you a few examples blackness of the brothers, black kings
- 18:56Speaker 3: and queens. They're gonta stick together.
- 18:59Speaker 5: Just ma.
- 18:59Speaker 2: It's not that you know why.
- 19:04Speaker 3: You know, I'm not lost for words too often, but
- 19:06Speaker 3: that is just mortifying. Now, let's inject some intelligence and
- 19:12Speaker 3: perspective into proceedings. Here is friend of the program, C J. Pearson.
- 19:17Speaker 12: I am so tired as a black man of being
- 19:18Speaker 12: expected to defend black wrongs as a black man. It's
- 19:21Speaker 12: news to me that I'm obligating to defend a black
- 19:23Speaker 12: man who decided to murder a child in cold blood.
- 19:26Speaker 5: Someone's son, someone's loved one, someone's sibling.
- 19:30Speaker 12: Like the idea that being black comes with having me
- 19:34Speaker 12: to defend every single black indiscretion, every black evil doing
- 19:38Speaker 12: is absolutely ridiculous, absurd, and I'm not going along with it.
- 19:43Speaker 5: I believe in accountability, whether or not.
- 19:45Speaker 12: You're white, yellow, blue, green, turquoise, or even with a
- 19:48Speaker 12: head of teal. I don't care if you do the
- 19:51Speaker 12: crime you ought to do the time and if you
- 19:53Speaker 12: act like an animal, don't be mad when society treats you.
- 19:56Speaker 3: Likee One after the Break, one of the most influential
- 19:59Speaker 3: voices new media, Patrick bet David joins the program for
- 20:03Speaker 3: the first time. Plus Josh Hammer will join me to
- 20:06Speaker 3: unpack the guilty verdict in the Carmelo Anthony case. Welcome
- 20:22Speaker 3: back now. My next guest needs no introduction, but he's
- 20:25Speaker 3: going to get one anyway. He is one of the
- 20:27Speaker 3: biggest names in new media. He shapes how millions of
- 20:30Speaker 3: people think about politics, business and the American dream. His
- 20:34Speaker 3: story is the American Dream. Patrick Bet David's story sounds
- 20:38Speaker 3: like something from a Hollywood movie. He was born in Iran,
- 20:41Speaker 3: lived in a refugee camp in Germany. But this refugee
- 20:44Speaker 3: went on to build significant wealth in the US as
- 20:48Speaker 3: in the financial services sector. That was before he turned
- 20:51Speaker 3: his attention to the media industry and has become one
- 20:54Speaker 3: of the most influential podcasters and media entrepreneurs in the world.
- 20:59Speaker 3: Patrick but David, Welcome to Sky and is Australia. You
- 21:03Speaker 3: reach millions of people every week through your popular Pepeta podcast.
- 21:08Speaker 3: You are known for talking to everybody. What's been the
- 21:12Speaker 3: most illuminating or fascinating interview of your career so far?
- 21:17Speaker 1: First of all, it's great to be on with It
- 21:19Speaker 1: was great having you on a couple months ago when
- 21:20Speaker 1: you were in the States here. I would say Kobe
- 21:24Speaker 1: Bryant was phenomenal. He was one that we were really
- 21:27Speaker 1: looking forward to as sit down conversation that we had
- 21:30Speaker 1: a few years aging twenty nineteen, the late Kobe Bryant.
- 21:32Speaker 1: But if I tell you the most fascinating is with
- 21:34Speaker 1: a guy named John McAfee, the founder of McAfee Anti
- 21:36Speaker 1: virus that's now a multi billion our company. I meet
- 21:39Speaker 1: with him RITA in his place in Nashville. He doesn't
- 21:43Speaker 1: want to give us the address. They're meeting Arthur Laffer,
- 21:46Speaker 1: which is an economist, and the last minute he gives
- 21:48Speaker 1: us the address we go to his place. When we
- 21:50Speaker 1: show up to his place, extremely paranoid, he's got three
- 21:54Speaker 1: Navy seals guys outside with guns waiting for us. We
- 21:57Speaker 1: pull up on thinking what is going on here? And
- 22:00Speaker 1: down in the middle of the podcast, he has this
- 22:02Speaker 1: gun with him he's got a scotch, he's got a
- 22:04Speaker 1: cigarette or cigar. Middle of the podcast, somebody knocks on
- 22:08Speaker 1: the door and you see one of the guys jumps
- 22:10Speaker 1: out with the gun in the guy's face. And this
- 22:12Speaker 1: is all recorded, by the way, it's in the interview,
- 22:14Speaker 1: and I my produced my shooter and right in front
- 22:18Speaker 1: of me the guy that's recording with the camera, he's panicking.
- 22:21Speaker 1: And then the Navy seal guy gets rid of the
- 22:23Speaker 1: guy and we continue the interview. We were done, but
- 22:26Speaker 1: we've done a lot of them. I would say those
- 22:27Speaker 1: are two that I will never forget. En off course,
- 22:29Speaker 1: but President Trump was fascinating as well.
- 22:32Speaker 3: I've got to go back and watch that interview. But
- 22:34Speaker 3: on President Trump, you sat down with him for an
- 22:37Speaker 3: extensive interview, covered a lot of ground over nineteen minutes,
- 22:41Speaker 3: and this was just a couple of weeks before the
- 22:43Speaker 3: twenty twenty four election. I'm just going to play a
- 22:45Speaker 3: little bit of the interview.
- 22:47Speaker 1: He said he never called, They wouldn't listen to him
- 22:49Speaker 1: if you think he will listen to you, And when
- 22:53Speaker 1: did you talk.
- 22:53Speaker 7: About two hours ago?
- 22:54Speaker 5: Okay he called me?
- 22:55Speaker 3: Ay and our country has been poisoned.
- 22:58Speaker 12: Okay, they were all threats to our nation, she would
- 23:01Speaker 12: have no idea what we're talking about.
- 23:02Speaker 1: Do you think twenty twenty four could be one of
- 23:04Speaker 1: those years that we look back and say, hey, lost
- 23:06Speaker 1: the African American vote.
- 23:07Speaker 5: The real threat isn't global warming. The real threat is
- 23:10Speaker 5: nuclear warming. Pray, that's not a question I'm asking five Manu.
- 23:13Speaker 3: How do you see President Trump's second term? How close
- 23:17Speaker 3: are you to the president? Could you just pick up
- 23:19Speaker 3: the phone and call him, reach him if you wanted to?
- 23:24Speaker 1: So, how do I see second term? I think he's
- 23:27Speaker 1: a lot loose second term than the first time because
- 23:29Speaker 1: he has nothing to prove. This is a man that
- 23:32Speaker 1: won the election when ninety one percent of media was
- 23:34Speaker 1: against him, and then twenty twenty Biden comes in. We
- 23:38Speaker 1: don't know what happened there. Of course, there's a lot
- 23:39Speaker 1: of speculation, election interference. And then he comes back in
- 23:43Speaker 1: twenty twenty four and wins. Every single county in US
- 23:47Speaker 1: became more Republican, every single state in America became more Republican,
- 23:50Speaker 1: and so he doesn't have to prove as much on
- 23:52Speaker 1: a second term. You're a little bit more comfortable and
- 23:54Speaker 1: loose as you're going through it and you're willing to
- 23:56Speaker 1: take the bigger risks, and he's taking some bigger risks,
- 23:59Speaker 1: whether you're I'm being one of them, Venezuela being another one.
- 24:02Speaker 1: He tried to get the tariffs some place, Supreme Court
- 24:04Speaker 1: won against him. There's a lot of things he's tried
- 24:06Speaker 1: to do that I'm supportive of, but it's been complicated
- 24:09Speaker 1: on in regards to access with him. A couple weeks ago,
- 24:13Speaker 1: on Sunday, I'm at a zoo with my kids and
- 24:17Speaker 1: we're going through the zoo and I get a phone
- 24:18Speaker 1: call and I keep pressing again. Then I get a
- 24:20Speaker 1: text saying, Hey, it's the President. You know you may
- 24:22Speaker 1: want to pick up the call. I pick up the call.
- 24:24Speaker 1: We have a nice ten to fifteen minute conversation together
- 24:26Speaker 1: about a bunch of things that's going on. I think
- 24:28Speaker 1: I'm going to the White House in the next few
- 24:30Speaker 1: days to be with him at the fight that's taking place.
- 24:33Speaker 1: So if I wanted to get on the phone with him,
- 24:36Speaker 1: he's a very accessible guy. I wouldn't have a hard
- 24:38Speaker 1: time getting a hold of him on the phone.
- 24:42Speaker 3: And how do you find him away from the formal
- 24:46Speaker 3: interviews when you're just having a chat with him? On
- 24:48Speaker 3: the phone or in person. Is it the same Donald
- 24:51Speaker 3: Trump or has he got a different persona in person?
- 24:55Speaker 1: Yeah? See, you know there's a lot of people that
- 24:57Speaker 1: on camera they're different than off came right, he's not.
- 25:02Speaker 1: He's pretty much the same off camera that is on camera,
- 25:05Speaker 1: except a little bit more what's the word, a little
- 25:08Speaker 1: bit more? I don't even know if I would say
- 25:10Speaker 1: riskier with his words. You know, he'll be a little
- 25:12Speaker 1: bit more looser with what he wants to say. You'll
- 25:15Speaker 1: say anything nowadays. Yeah, it's a little bit more risque.
- 25:17Speaker 1: But he's extremely funny. As you know, he's funny. He's
- 25:21Speaker 1: constantly talking shit. You know, he's talking smack all the time.
- 25:24Speaker 1: He look, he is who he is. You either love
- 25:28Speaker 1: him you hate him. He's not a guy in the middle.
- 25:30Speaker 1: He's not a like you don't like Trump. You either
- 25:32Speaker 1: love him or you hate him. That's the personality. But
- 25:34Speaker 1: he's a lot of fun when cameras are not on.
- 25:38Speaker 3: Now, you're known for interviewing everybody, people from all sorts
- 25:42Speaker 3: of backgrounds, all sorts of opinions. You spoke to Andrew
- 25:46Speaker 3: tight when he was canceled from pretty much everywhere, and
- 25:50Speaker 3: he did get a little triggered in the interview.
- 25:53Speaker 5: Let's go to Shapiro's I don't want to hear it.
- 25:54Speaker 5: I don't want to hear Evans Me talk about Ben Shapiro.
- 25:57Speaker 3: Ben Shapiro, Oh goodness that he did speak to tight
- 26:01Speaker 3: when everyone was running away from him. Was that a
- 26:04Speaker 3: journalistic decision or a business decision? Because it was certainly
- 26:08Speaker 3: a great business decision.
- 26:11Speaker 1: Yeah, if you work with me, you're not surprised that
- 26:14Speaker 1: I went because the way you do big things in
- 26:17Speaker 1: life is you have to take some risks. And for me,
- 26:20Speaker 1: I'm truly a free speech apps. I mean I'm a
- 26:24Speaker 1: free speech apsolutist to the highest level. Meaning I've had
- 26:27Speaker 1: Bbon on the podcast, and a month later we had
- 26:29Speaker 1: Nick Fointis on, and trust me, the camp that listens
- 26:31Speaker 1: to Nick Fontes hates Pebe and the camp that follows
- 26:34Speaker 1: BB hates Nick Fountest and I don't mind, I'll talk
- 26:36Speaker 1: to both of them. I just had mediasan on a
- 26:38Speaker 1: couple of days ago. I think Andrew Tate has a
- 26:40Speaker 1: lot of things he talks about that exposes a lot
- 26:43Speaker 1: of people that are not happy what he has to say.
- 26:45Speaker 1: We don't agree on everything that we talk about I mean,
- 26:47Speaker 1: he's a Muslim man today, I'm a Christian man. You know,
- 26:49Speaker 1: we have certain things that we agree on, but extremely entertaining.
- 26:53Speaker 1: I want to know what he has to say. And
- 26:54Speaker 1: I think the world needs I think we need to
- 26:56Speaker 1: be more comfortable hearing people out and letting the mark
- 27:00Speaker 1: it decide what direction they want to go, because if
- 27:02Speaker 1: you hide it, people want to hear it even more.
- 27:06Speaker 3: Absolutely, And one of the interesting questions you posed to
- 27:10Speaker 3: Tite was around his daughters. What would happen if his
- 27:15Speaker 3: daughter married someone like him, a philander cheating on her
- 27:19Speaker 3: with multiple women. What did you think of his ads?
- 27:22Speaker 3: I've got to say it gave me the creepspatrick, But
- 27:25Speaker 3: what did you think of it?
- 27:28Speaker 1: Well, listen, if he gave any other answer, he's a hypocrite.
- 27:31Speaker 1: So at least the answer he gave is the life
- 27:34Speaker 1: he's living. Yeah, you don't have to agree with it,
- 27:36Speaker 1: but at least the answer he gave. And by the way,
- 27:37Speaker 1: if your audience wants to know, it's kind of like, look,
- 27:39Speaker 1: if he's providing, if he's taking care of you, let
- 27:41Speaker 1: the man do whatever he wants to do. In other
- 27:43Speaker 1: I'm just paraphrasing what he said, but that's kind of
- 27:45Speaker 1: what the guy was talking about. Uh yeah, I mean, look,
- 27:48Speaker 1: he is. He is telling you the way he's living
- 27:51Speaker 1: his life. So you don't want to you don't like it,
- 27:54Speaker 1: debate it, argued, give your own argument. But at least
- 27:56Speaker 1: he's he's congruent and aligned.
- 28:00Speaker 3: That's a good point. But I think when it comes
- 28:02Speaker 3: to your own child, that's when he should be a hypocrite.
- 28:06Speaker 3: If you're a womanizer, that's just the one area. Now,
- 28:10Speaker 3: you coush, I would prefer a hypocrite who's got his
- 28:13Speaker 3: best daughter's best interest at heart and someone who's providing
- 28:17Speaker 3: a consistent message. But on the question of masculinity, put aside, Tait,
- 28:22Speaker 3: do we have a crisis in masculinity in the Western
- 28:26Speaker 3: world and how do we address that because boys have
- 28:30Speaker 3: been bashed for so long we'cause all these messages about
- 28:33Speaker 3: toxic masculinity being fed into their heads, as if being
- 28:37Speaker 3: born male is a crime.
- 28:39Speaker 1: Patrick, Yeah, And you know what, And that's why men,
- 28:43Speaker 1: young men today follow men like Tate. They follow men
- 28:48Speaker 1: like our content or some of the younger men that
- 28:50Speaker 1: are coming up, whether you agree with them or not,
- 28:52Speaker 1: they want to see an example. It's like men for
- 28:54Speaker 1: the longest them have to apologize about being successful, about
- 28:57Speaker 1: having money, about traveling, about seeing the world. We grew
- 29:01Speaker 1: up with the life of the rich and famous, and
- 29:02Speaker 1: I was okay. You know, in the eighties and nineties,
- 29:04Speaker 1: you looked up to these types of people. You know,
- 29:06Speaker 1: back in the days, my mother used to like a
- 29:08Speaker 1: guy named on Ass. I don't know if you remember
- 29:10Speaker 1: on us on Usas is who Jackie Kennedy married after
- 29:15Speaker 1: John F. Kennedy was assassinated. She left after he died,
- 29:19Speaker 1: he was killed, she went and ended up with a
- 29:20Speaker 1: guy named Onas's now if you know on Usas, he
- 29:23Speaker 1: was a guy that was a good looking guy, billionaire,
- 29:25Speaker 1: had the yachts, had the big houses, wore the nice clothes.
- 29:29Speaker 1: He would, you know, hang out with Churchill all the time.
- 29:31Speaker 1: They were best friends at the end of his life.
- 29:33Speaker 1: So we need some men like that. I think a
- 29:35Speaker 1: lot of young men are a little bit confused.
- 29:36Speaker 5: You know.
- 29:37Speaker 1: About a month ago, we had some of the kids
- 29:39Speaker 1: locally from a private school that came to twenty two
- 29:41Speaker 1: of them, and I was given a maturity entire office,
- 29:44Speaker 1: and I was asking him, who do you guys look
- 29:45Speaker 1: up to? Who do you watch well. I used to
- 29:47Speaker 1: watch Charlie Kirk, Who do you watch now? And they're
- 29:49Speaker 1: kind of going through the list of their names. I'm like, interesting,
- 29:51Speaker 1: why do you like him?
- 29:52Speaker 7: Well?
- 29:52Speaker 1: Because he says what other people don't want. Why do
- 29:55Speaker 1: you like that guy? Why do you like this person?
- 29:56Speaker 1: So I think the more and more and more you
- 29:59Speaker 1: try to feed that boys are dumb, they're silly, they're
- 30:02Speaker 1: this their dad. They're weak, They're going to finally eventually,
- 30:05Speaker 1: So I don't relate to this. And by the way,
- 30:07Speaker 1: there's a reason why the biggest faction of young kids
- 30:13Speaker 1: that are becoming conservative is young men, young men fourteen, sixteen,
- 30:18Speaker 1: eighteen years old. They're going towards faith. They're going towards God,
- 30:21Speaker 1: they're going towards being conservative, they're going towards being strong men.
- 30:24Speaker 1: They're going towards being I'm the man of the household.
- 30:26Speaker 1: I'm going to lead the family. And I'm not surprised
- 30:28Speaker 1: by this happening.
- 30:31Speaker 3: And it's interesting because at the same time, well certainly
- 30:34Speaker 3: in Australia and elsewhere in the West, you got young
- 30:37Speaker 3: women veering left and you've got young men veering right,
- 30:41Speaker 3: and you wonder how that's going to work in personal
- 30:44Speaker 3: relationships and as they try to relate it to each other. Now,
- 30:49Speaker 3: you are a proud American. America has been fantastic to you,
- 30:54Speaker 3: and it's been fantastic to really anyone who's got work,
- 30:57Speaker 3: ethic and a dream can make in America. It is
- 31:00Speaker 3: the land of opportunity. But the country is also full
- 31:03Speaker 3: of self loathing lefties, including the ladies of the View.
- 31:07Speaker 3: They do give me a lot of content on this program.
- 31:10Speaker 3: I want to play you a little quick clip from
- 31:12Speaker 3: Sunny Houston talking about why she's ashamed of her country.
- 31:17Speaker 11: I'm embarrassed on the assault on the press. I'm embarrassed
- 31:21Speaker 11: of our Congress. I'm embarrassed by the criminal felon president
- 31:27Speaker 11: that is in the office that has a UFC cage
- 31:31Speaker 11: on the White House.
- 31:32Speaker 3: Low.
- 31:34Speaker 11: I'm embarrassed about all those things. And I'm also embarrassed
- 31:37Speaker 11: at how America is now seen across the globe.
- 31:42Speaker 3: Patrick, she's deeply ashamed of America, and she's not alone.
- 31:47Speaker 3: Tell me about this phenomenon of American liberals loathing their
- 31:52Speaker 3: own country.
- 31:54Speaker 1: It's disgusting. It's getting old. People are tired of it.
- 31:57Speaker 1: This is a woman that's getting millions of dollars makes
- 31:59Speaker 1: you there's a multi millionaire fame, everything she has, and
- 32:03Speaker 1: she wants to complain about what she's embarrassed up with America.
- 32:05Speaker 1: Are you kidding me? If you don't like this place,
- 32:07Speaker 1: you can always go to a different place. Now, this
- 32:09Speaker 1: is a great thing about America. You can say whatever
- 32:11Speaker 1: you want. I remember when we first came to the States,
- 32:13Speaker 1: my mother and I were in Granada Hills, were watching
- 32:15Speaker 1: TV and one of the folks was criticizing the president.
- 32:19Speaker 1: I don't know what the audience was watching, NBCCNN, Fox,
- 32:22Speaker 1: whatever it was. My mother was like, man, that guy's
- 32:24Speaker 1: going to get fired tomorrow. And we're like, no, no,
- 32:26Speaker 1: this is free in America. This is not Iran. You
- 32:29Speaker 1: can say whatever you want here. So a part of
- 32:32Speaker 1: that is the benefit of being American, but it's too
- 32:34Speaker 1: much apologizing. This is the greatest country in the world.
- 32:38Speaker 1: They don't care if you're white, Black, Hispanic, you have
- 32:40Speaker 1: a degree, you don't have a degree, you're in your fifties, sixties.
- 32:44Speaker 1: We have stories of people in their sixties wanted to
- 32:46Speaker 1: recreate themselves and they start a company become billionaires. We
- 32:49Speaker 1: have an African American man who was raising a single
- 32:52Speaker 1: mother household. He ends up becoming a two term president.
- 32:55Speaker 1: We have athletes becoming billionaires. We have you know, Hollywood
- 32:59Speaker 1: stars going after becoming super famous, and then all of
- 33:01Speaker 1: a sudden, guys like Mark Ruffalo, who's a super super
- 33:04Speaker 1: socialist guy becka millionaire played hawk, is going out there
- 33:08Speaker 1: complaining about America. You got guys like Robert de Niro,
- 33:10Speaker 1: who is one of the greatest actors of all time.
- 33:12Speaker 1: He can't even control himself when he comes down to Trump.
- 33:15Speaker 1: Disagree with the guy, don't like what his ideas are.
- 33:17Speaker 1: But they're showing so much weakness. Every time they hear
- 33:20Speaker 1: the name Trump, they shiver, and it's just the sign
- 33:23Speaker 1: of their weakness and Trump's strength.
- 33:26Speaker 3: It is I mean, someone like Robert de Niro has
- 33:29Speaker 3: almost destroyed his own legacy. It was universally admired as
- 33:33Speaker 3: a great actor and now has become a clown show.
- 33:36Speaker 3: He just is having these tantrums at his age. Now
- 33:40Speaker 3: before you go, your story really is something from a
- 33:43Speaker 3: Hollywood script. You've gone from poverty to enormous wealth, enormous influence.
- 33:49Speaker 3: You interview presidents, billionaires, You're close to being a billionaire yourself.
- 33:54Speaker 3: What are you chasing now, what are you chasing now
- 33:57Speaker 3: that money can't buy.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Questions. So for us, I have four kids. I love America.
- 34:03Speaker 1: And you know, when you read the stories of Kennedy's
- 34:06Speaker 1: or Bush's, these big families that are build political dynasties.
- 34:10Speaker 1: Both of them will say, go make your money, take
- 34:13Speaker 1: care of your wife and kids, and then give back
- 34:15Speaker 1: to the country through charity, through government politics, or you know,
- 34:20Speaker 1: in a different form you want to give to them
- 34:22Speaker 1: through you know, media or other sorts. For me, I
- 34:25Speaker 1: chose a media, and I'm going through this process. I
- 34:28Speaker 1: can run for office. I'm not born here, so I
- 34:30Speaker 1: can be a president. Not interested in being a governor,
- 34:33Speaker 1: and so I'm going on a forty year run to
- 34:35Speaker 1: build a holding company and God willing build a family
- 34:37Speaker 1: that's going to represent America in the most incredible way.
- 34:40Speaker 1: And we'll see, we will judge how successful this will
- 34:43Speaker 1: be forty years from now. Maybe we do show together
- 34:46Speaker 1: in forty years and twenty sixty six and see how
- 34:49Speaker 1: it's gone. But that's kind of division. This is the
- 34:51Speaker 1: greatest country, and it's always a lot of people want
- 34:54Speaker 1: to tear it down. We saw what's going on in
- 34:55Speaker 1: California with Newsom and some of these guys are doing
- 34:57Speaker 1: with the elections.
- 34:58Speaker 5: We saw what's going.
- 34:59Speaker 1: On in New York right now with some of the
- 35:01Speaker 1: craziness the madness that's taking place there. So it's not
- 35:04Speaker 1: like America's already protected. If we love this country, we
- 35:07Speaker 1: have to do our part to fight on a regular basis,
- 35:09Speaker 1: and I'm going to do my part as well as
- 35:11Speaker 1: hopefully our family will follow the lead.
- 35:14Speaker 3: Patrick bet David, it has been an absolute pleasure. Thanks
- 35:17Speaker 3: for having me still to come. All the laters from
- 35:20Speaker 3: the US, including the fallout from the guilty verdict in
- 35:24Speaker 3: the Carmelo Anthony case. Josh Hammer is up next. Welcome
- 35:39Speaker 3: back now. The Carmelo Anthony case was always crystal clear.
- 35:44Speaker 3: Involved a young thug with poor impulse control murdering a
- 35:48Speaker 3: good kid who didn't want to fight, a good kid
- 35:51Speaker 3: with a bright future who died in his twin brother's arms.
- 35:55Speaker 3: Even the defense witness, the defense witness was clear that
- 35:59Speaker 3: it was Carmelo Anthony who instigated the clash. The victim,
- 36:03Speaker 3: Austin Metcalf, had no interest in fighting.
- 36:06Speaker 13: One of the defenser's own witnesses during cross examination said quote,
- 36:11Speaker 13: I think Carmelo was in the wrong. Prosecutors asked, did
- 36:15Speaker 13: Carmelo Anthony provoke the confrontation? He answered yes. A sixteen
- 36:20Speaker 13: year old witness testified that quote Anthony repeated, f y'all,
- 36:24Speaker 13: I'm not going to leave, he said. Anthony also threatened
- 36:27Speaker 13: touch me and see what happens, while Metcalf told him, quote,
- 36:31Speaker 13: I Am not going to fight you.
- 36:33Speaker 3: Yep. Witness for the defense this little wonder that the
- 36:37Speaker 3: juror didn't take long to determine Carmelo Anthony was guilty
- 36:41Speaker 3: as charged. But this killer is likely to serve less
- 36:44Speaker 3: than twenty years, and his vile supporters have learned nothing.
- 36:50Speaker 3: Indeeda as Fox News correspondent Brook Taylor explains, Carmelo's fans,
- 36:55Speaker 3: Yes he's got fans are still pouring abuse on Austin's
- 37:00Speaker 3: graving family members.
- 37:01Speaker 13: Jury has sentenced Carmelo Anthonita thirty five years behind bars
- 37:06Speaker 13: after finding him guilty of murder. I'm told that he
- 37:10Speaker 13: is eligible for parole after he serves half his time.
- 37:13Speaker 13: The jury had the option to give him as much
- 37:17Speaker 13: as ninety nine years behind bars, but again they have
- 37:20Speaker 13: chosen to give him thirty five years. And I do
- 37:23Speaker 13: want to mention we showed you those protests, A bunch
- 37:26Speaker 13: of supporters out here. They've erupted again. Pretty shocking. This
- 37:30Speaker 13: is a direct quote. I just heard one woman, one
- 37:33Speaker 13: supporter say, quote those twins, meaning the victim and his
- 37:37Speaker 13: twin brother who were there at the time, are quote
- 37:39Speaker 13: domestic racist.
- 37:41Speaker 3: Terrorists joining me now? Is Newsweek senior editor at Lodge,
- 37:46Speaker 3: Josh Hamma, Josh, this caise begas belief, the horrific nightscha
- 37:52Speaker 3: of the killing and what has happened in the aftermap
- 37:55Speaker 3: with PayPal riising money, marching for a murderer.
- 38:01Speaker 6: Yeah, rita in that sense, the lattermost sense of the
- 38:05Speaker 6: fact that this depraved killer has fans. It's eerily reminiscent,
- 38:08Speaker 6: shall we say, of the Liegiman Gioni atrocity against Brian Thompson,
- 38:12Speaker 6: the former CEO of United Healthcare, who was gunned down
- 38:15Speaker 6: in midtown Manhattan. After that, you had this, this diabolical,
- 38:19Speaker 6: satanic mini trend of all sorts of social justice. Let
- 38:23Speaker 6: this actives across America trying to name their sons Ligi
- 38:26Speaker 6: to honor this depraved assassin, and perhaps we will get
- 38:29Speaker 6: something similar here out of this terrible, terrible tragedy in Texas.
- 38:33Speaker 6: As you correctly note, the outcome the guilt of this
- 38:36Speaker 6: case was never particularly in doubt. The fact that this
- 38:40Speaker 6: individual has fans really should should raise a few five
- 38:44Speaker 6: alarm fire style questions. One was to say about America
- 38:48Speaker 6: more generally, that there are people that are actually fans
- 38:51Speaker 6: of a convicted killer. Two, I can't help but actually
- 38:54Speaker 6: go to the to the crux of the racial question,
- 38:56Speaker 6: which is, how differently would this story have been covered
- 39:00Speaker 6: if the racial identity of the victim and the murderer
- 39:04Speaker 6: were reversed. If you had a white individual here who
- 39:08Speaker 6: murdered an innocent black person who said that I'm not
- 39:10Speaker 6: going to find you back there, I think the America's
- 39:12Speaker 6: media would have covered the story very, very differently. But
- 39:16Speaker 6: ultimately rita to kind of cut to the chase here.
- 39:18Speaker 6: I think give credit or credits due despite all the
- 39:20Speaker 6: outside pressure from the al sharpens of the world, all
- 39:23Speaker 6: of America's various race hosters, the jury did arrive at
- 39:26Speaker 6: the correct conclusion here, and I guess I will I
- 39:28Speaker 6: would just finally say this, which is that it is
- 39:31Speaker 6: long standing Supreme Court president in America that there is
- 39:34Speaker 6: no death penalty if you are a minor under the
- 39:36Speaker 6: age of eighteen. I have long felt that this is
- 39:39Speaker 6: wrongly decided, and that for clear cut cases of homicide
- 39:42Speaker 6: like this Rita, in my opinion, the death penalty should
- 39:44Speaker 6: very much be on the table. We're not there yet,
- 39:46Speaker 6: but god willing, at a bare minimum, Camelle Anthony serves
- 39:49Speaker 6: a very very long time in jail.
- 39:52Speaker 3: Well, when I saw thirty five years, I thought that
- 39:55Speaker 3: seems like a reasonable sentence for what he has done.
- 39:59Speaker 3: Give it his young age. He's still going to have
- 40:03Speaker 3: decades potentially being a free man. But the minimum term
- 40:08Speaker 3: is seventeen seventeen and a half years, so I thought
- 40:11Speaker 3: that was quite low, really, given the unprovoked, horrific nature
- 40:15Speaker 3: of this killing. Now, let's talk about what's happening in Maine.
- 40:20Speaker 3: The Nazi tattoo wearing misogynist Grame Platner has captured the
- 40:25Speaker 3: Democratic Party's a Senate nomination. Earlier today, Josh, what does
- 40:30Speaker 3: this say about the Democrats in twenty twenty six.
- 40:34Speaker 6: Yeah, it's an early astounding story. It is truly truly
- 40:38Speaker 6: astounding that this man is the nominee in the state
- 40:41Speaker 6: of Mean for the United States Senate, a body that
- 40:44Speaker 6: was once known as the world's greatest deliberate to buy.
- 40:46Speaker 6: The guy who literally has an actual Nazi SS tilten
- 40:50Speaker 6: comp tattoo. A guy who was on a pedophile friendly
- 40:55Speaker 6: child dating app the guy who was who was sending
- 40:58Speaker 6: all sorts of exting promiscuous texts to five six, seven,
- 41:03Speaker 6: eight ten, we don't even know how many different women
- 41:05Speaker 6: while he was married, who apparently was physically abusive to
- 41:09Speaker 6: prior ex girlfriends. A guy who said that various Purple
- 41:12Speaker 6: Hard winners and gold Star members in the US military
- 41:16Speaker 6: were terrible, terrible people who had it coming. A guy
- 41:18Speaker 6: who admitted to going on drug addlet benders all across
- 41:22Speaker 6: Southeast Asia while he was on leave from his military service.
- 41:25Speaker 6: I mean, where do you begin. This is one of
- 41:26Speaker 6: the those scandal ridding candidates in modern American history. And
- 41:30Speaker 6: you have people like ro Kahana and people like Bernie
- 41:32Speaker 6: Sanders who were just falling over the wayside, just just
- 41:35Speaker 6: rushing running up to endorse this guy. But unfortunately, Graham
- 41:38Speaker 6: Plattner is actually not the only truly utterly backcrap in
- 41:42Speaker 6: saying candidate the Democrats are putting up for a lefton
- 41:44Speaker 6: office this cycle. You can go to New Jersey's twelfth
- 41:47Speaker 6: Congressional district. They have a man by the name of
- 41:48Speaker 6: Adam Adam Hamawi who was a defense witness. Beging of
- 41:51Speaker 6: defense winners is he's a defense witness for the Blind Shake,
- 41:55Speaker 6: the mastermind of the nine ninety three World Trade Center
- 41:58Speaker 6: terrorist attack, the predecessor to to the nine to eleven
- 42:00Speaker 6: Issan Bin lomattack. In Michigan, there is a man who
- 42:04Speaker 6: is the current leading candidate for sent there the name
- 42:07Speaker 6: of Abdul el Sayad, who has said all sorts of things,
- 42:10Speaker 6: praising Hasballah and various other radical Islam's fashions. There then
- 42:13Speaker 6: you have tofu James Tallerico in Texas says that it
- 42:16Speaker 6: says that God is non binary. This is not a
- 42:19Speaker 6: particularly healthy political party RITA. And that's why I say that.
- 42:23Speaker 6: I hear a lot of conservative strategists, Republican poster etc.
- 42:26Speaker 6: Who are starting to get nervous about the poll numbers
- 42:29Speaker 6: for the midterms of November. And my response to that
- 42:32Speaker 6: is you probably should not be that nervous, because, no
- 42:34Speaker 6: matter what you may or may not think about what
- 42:36Speaker 6: is happening when it comes to gas prices or approved
- 42:38Speaker 6: right exists there. The Democrats are inconsiderably worse shape and
- 42:42Speaker 6: they are inconsiderably worse shape because they are a party
- 42:45Speaker 6: that has just completely lost the plot and the Meeting
- 42:48Speaker 6: American is nowhere near where these people are when it
- 42:51Speaker 6: comes to all the relevant issues RITA. So I think
- 42:54Speaker 6: that the attack adds frankly right themselves. But the good
- 42:57Speaker 6: news again is that Platiner is not going to win
- 43:00Speaker 6: and Collins will win this election. And mean there two
- 43:02Speaker 6: fou tel Rico is not going to win in Texas
- 43:04Speaker 6: and on and on we go there. So it's a
- 43:07Speaker 6: self owned for the Democrats, but Republicans will come away
- 43:09Speaker 6: the winners.
- 43:09Speaker 5: For some think.
- 43:11Speaker 3: It is a free show. I mean, you look at Tallarico,
- 43:15Speaker 3: maybe run him in California, but to run him in Texas,
- 43:19Speaker 3: it's again bewildering. But perhaps that's the best they've got
- 43:23Speaker 3: to offer at the moment. Now. Josh Plenty has been
- 43:26Speaker 3: set about the Chambalic meryoral race in LA. We saw
- 43:31Speaker 3: some very interesting counts happening after polling day, but the
- 43:36Speaker 3: biggest story is who's going to be the next governor
- 43:39Speaker 3: of California. And Republican Steve Hilton has advanced to the
- 43:43Speaker 3: general election in November. Tell me about his chances I'm
- 43:47Speaker 3: presuming they're not great in California, but the fact that
- 43:51Speaker 3: is even advanced this far, I think is a credit
- 43:54Speaker 3: to him.
- 43:55Speaker 6: No, look, the odds are not Graham. I'm not going
- 43:58Speaker 6: to pretend like he's going to be the next gover.
- 44:00Speaker 6: He's probably not going to be, but it's possible. Look,
- 44:02Speaker 6: I mean, I mean, crazier things have happened in American
- 44:04Speaker 6: politics than Steve Hilton winning this election. It wasn't that
- 44:09Speaker 6: that long ago that you had Arnold Schwarzeninger be the
- 44:11Speaker 6: Republican governor of California. A middle of Swarzeninger, not exactly
- 44:16Speaker 6: a hard right conservative, but he did have the R
- 44:18Speaker 6: and not a D next to his name. Steve Hilton
- 44:21Speaker 6: is a very pragmatic, solutions oriented kind of guy, a
- 44:26Speaker 6: guy who talks about the real issues facing Californians on
- 44:29Speaker 6: a day. They basically talks about the cost of living
- 44:31Speaker 6: in the fact that California has by far the highest
- 44:33Speaker 6: gasoline prices in America, and the crime and the homelessness,
- 44:37Speaker 6: and the drug and needle infested streets and this, and
- 44:40Speaker 6: that he's focused on the real issues. Is not a
- 44:42Speaker 6: guy who is, you know, speaking of tel Rico as, Yeah,
- 44:46Speaker 6: you said that tel Rico would be a better favorite
- 44:48Speaker 6: California than for Texas. Steve Hilton is running a California
- 44:52Speaker 6: Republican kind of race. He's running the kind of race
- 44:55Speaker 6: and his platform was a kind of platform now you
- 44:57Speaker 6: have to have in order to give yourself a chance,
- 44:59Speaker 6: even if it's an outside chance of victory in a
- 45:02Speaker 6: very blue state like California. Again, for being very can
- 45:05Speaker 6: that here, he's probably not going to do it. I
- 45:07Speaker 6: certainly hope that he succeeds. But in theory, if there
- 45:11Speaker 6: was every time for a Republican to be successful statewide, again,
- 45:14Speaker 6: there's a decent cycle to do it. California is obviously
- 45:17Speaker 6: in terrible shape. In twenty twenty readA California you lost people,
- 45:21Speaker 6: actually it lost it lost seats in the US Census
- 45:24Speaker 6: and in the House Delegation for the first time since
- 45:27Speaker 6: California became a state in the middle of the nineteenth century.
- 45:30Speaker 6: So the state is in really, really, really dire straits.
- 45:33Speaker 6: In theory, again, will be a good time for Republican
- 45:35Speaker 6: to get there to Sacramento. I don't think it's going
- 45:37Speaker 6: to happen, but I wish him nothing but the best
- 45:38Speaker 6: of lock.
- 45:39Speaker 1: That's for sure.
- 45:41Speaker 3: And he has Trump's endorsement, which is interesting because again
- 45:44Speaker 3: you would think in a deep blue state perhaps it
- 45:47Speaker 3: would do better without a Trump endorsement. But he's got
- 45:51Speaker 3: this far with it now. I covered Marco Rubo humbling
- 45:56Speaker 3: a number of Democrats last week. The footage was fantastic fun.
- 46:01Speaker 3: I've got to say to cover. I've just got a
- 46:04Speaker 3: little compilation here to remind you.
- 46:07Speaker 5: Your shoes look very nice today.
- 46:08Speaker 3: Mister secretary, how can you see him the way down here?
- 46:11Speaker 5: Practice what you preached?
- 46:13Speaker 12: Oh?
- 46:13Speaker 9: She gets the scream now too. I mean, is this
- 46:16Speaker 9: the Foreign Affairs Committee or is this like a circus?
- 46:18Speaker 9: Are you guys kidding me? Why is she leaving? I'm
- 46:20Speaker 9: gonna answer her questions.
- 46:21Speaker 5: I will. Oh she's got okay, I got it. Well,
- 46:25Speaker 5: thank you for coming.
- 46:26Speaker 9: If you're one hundred percent and accurate and a half
- 46:28Speaker 9: percent wrong, here's why.
- 46:29Speaker 13: And just like you couldn't admit that the shoes the
- 46:31Speaker 13: president bought you were too big.
- 46:32Speaker 5: I don't know what shoes she's talking about. What is
- 46:34Speaker 5: she talking about?
- 46:34Speaker 9: I know your staff wrote up this cute statement for
- 46:36Speaker 9: your TikTok video, but it's not true.
- 46:39Speaker 5: Head me some flour shim shoes. They are actually pretty good.
- 46:41Speaker 5: They fit.
- 46:41Speaker 9: Finds absurd and ridiculous, and I can't believe we're in
- 46:44Speaker 9: a Foreign Affairs Committee meeting. I don't question, and it's
- 46:48Speaker 9: not real.
- 46:49Speaker 5: That's not what happened.
- 46:50Speaker 9: That's a cognitively impaired president. But I don't like to
- 46:52Speaker 9: talk about that because it weakens America. You're not going
- 46:55Speaker 9: to agree because you have another narrative that you want
- 46:56Speaker 9: to push it, but.
- 46:57Speaker 5: Those are the fact it is.
- 46:59Speaker 3: The sacred fery of state was in a fine form there, Josh. Now,
- 47:03Speaker 3: I'm a JD. Vance enthusiast. I think he'll be forty eight.
- 47:07Speaker 3: But you're on the Rubio train, and I've got to
- 47:10Speaker 3: say it must be a pretty good train to be
- 47:12Speaker 3: on right now.
- 47:14Speaker 6: Well, just to clarify here, I wrote an iPad colum
- 47:18Speaker 6: in March twenty twenty four titled Vice President Jdvan So
- 47:21Speaker 6: I actually advocated for Jade Vans's vice president some give
- 47:25Speaker 6: or take, four months before he was even tapped to that.
- 47:28Speaker 6: So I've known JD. Vance on a personal level for
- 47:30Speaker 6: many many years now, So I think the America could
- 47:32Speaker 6: do a heck of a lot worse frankly than JD Evans. Nonetheless,
- 47:35Speaker 6: I think it is worth noting the Marco Rubio is
- 47:37Speaker 6: having a moment To put it mildly, I think that
- 47:40Speaker 6: there is a reason that he that he is currently
- 47:42Speaker 6: neck and neck with JD Vance in the prediction markets
- 47:45Speaker 6: on Calshi I'm predicted, and elsewhere when it comes to
- 47:48Speaker 6: who will be the nominee in twenty twenty eight. Actually,
- 47:51Speaker 6: I think it was a week or two ago that
- 47:53Speaker 6: the Daily Mail, based on whatever source they had, had
- 47:56Speaker 6: a scoop that Jade Vans is considering not even running
- 47:59Speaker 6: actually twenty twenty eight. I find it very hard to
- 48:01Speaker 6: believe what it's worth. I presume that Jada Vance is
- 48:03Speaker 6: going to run. I would be shocked if he is not.
- 48:05Speaker 6: But the fact that the Daily Mail is scooping this,
- 48:09Speaker 6: I think, just goes to show you that the momentum
- 48:11Speaker 6: is clearly on Marco Rubio's side right now. Certainly, Trump's
- 48:14Speaker 6: foreign policy in this term seems to look a lot
- 48:16Speaker 6: more like Marco Rubio's foreign policy than Jade Vance's foreign policy.
- 48:20Speaker 6: I guess I will say Rito that the downside of
- 48:22Speaker 6: that from Mark Rubio is that he potentially might live
- 48:25Speaker 6: and die based on Trump's foreign policy. So if the
- 48:28Speaker 6: Iran operation was very popular at the beginning, it has
- 48:30Speaker 6: definitely dwindled in terms of his popularity. I still support
- 48:32Speaker 6: if what's worth, but his popularity has dwindled. So that
- 48:36Speaker 6: will be very interesting when it comes to the politics
- 48:38Speaker 6: of twenty twenty eight. But ultimately, ultimately it really will
- 48:40Speaker 6: be that golden endorsements from Don from himself that will
- 48:43Speaker 6: tell us really a lot as to where he wants
- 48:46Speaker 6: move to go after he bows out as the stage
- 48:48Speaker 6: you'll have to come twenty twenty.
- 48:49Speaker 3: Eight, and he's not giving anything away. I think the
- 48:53Speaker 3: most of he has said is they have great chemistry,
- 48:56Speaker 3: they work well together. He wants them to run together.
- 49:00Speaker 3: He didn't say which one would be vying to be
- 49:02Speaker 3: president and who'd be vice president, So we'll have to
- 49:05Speaker 3: wait to see where Donald Trump lands on that one.
- 49:08Speaker 3: Josh Hammah, thank you so much for your time tonight,
- 49:11Speaker 3: and that's it from me. Don't go anywhere. Newsnight is
- 49:15Speaker 3: up next.
