- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing genuine
- 0:13issues. Brought to you by the
- 0:14Hypnotherapist, Demanded by celebrities CE OS and even
- 0:18royalty Adam Cox, These recordings took place live from
- 0:22Evans Clinic in London's world famous Harley Street.
- 0:29So get yourself comfortable and enjoy today's episode of The
- 0:33Hypnotist. Hi.
- 0:40It's Adam here, now this. Is a hypnosis session.
- 0:44To help you really extract all of the.
- 0:47Value the wisdom. From a past relationship that
- 0:51can enable you to be much more. Discerning in any.
- 0:55Future relationships at the crux of this.
- 0:59Hypnosis session. It's really about the ability to
- 1:04look back at key. Moments through the lens of
- 1:07knowing. What I now know, what would I
- 1:09have done differently? And this was a client that had a
- 1:13long relationship, 27 years. And in that time, they tolerated
- 1:18a lot in that relationship that now they wouldn't tolerate.
- 1:22But it came from their own childhood of what they saw in
- 1:27their family and a desire to really make something work.
- 1:31And I think it's such a power belief that if you are in a
- 1:35relationship, you have the ethos to mend that relationship rather
- 1:39than end the relationship. However, that can lead to broken
- 1:45values and almost ever reducing self esteem.
- 1:49If no matter what happens in the relationship, you tolerate it,
- 1:54that would. Be a form of.
- 1:56Weakness because there is no boundaries.
- 1:58So what? This hypnosis.
- 2:00Session does is helps the client to go back to key moments of the
- 2:04relationship. Through the.
- 2:05Lens of knowing what I now know, what would I do different and
- 2:09how can I extract the value? Going forward.
- 2:12Now, that's quite a powerful and useful frame of thinking and I
- 2:17would encourage you if you are, let's say, coming to the end of
- 2:20a relationship or the relationship has already ended,
- 2:24but at some level you haven't quite moved on.
- 2:26There will be some elements of this that at the structural
- 2:31rather than superficial level, will connect to your experience,
- 2:35because at some level there is. Always wisdom.
- 2:38That we can learn, and I'd encourage you to think about
- 2:42whether it's yourself or someone else, that when they leave a
- 2:45relationship, they're in such a hurry to get into a new
- 2:48relationship that there is no self reflection.
- 2:51There is no. Wisdom being taken.
- 2:53From the past, either about selection, choice or what they
- 2:57actually bought. What you actually bought to that
- 2:59relationship. So there might be something
- 3:02valuable that you can take from this.
- 3:05And it ends with future pacing where they can actually imagine
- 3:09themselves in a positive relationship, but using all of
- 3:13that discernment from the past into their future.
- 3:15So if at some level these themes connect, you should get some
- 3:19value from this. It was created for an individual
- 3:21though, so some of these suggestions might have been
- 3:24relevant for the client, but not quite relevant for you.
- 3:27So feel free to hone into the suggestions that are useful,
- 3:30ignore any that aren't, and if you do like the idea of a
- 3:33bespoke session, there will be a link in the description where
- 3:36you can. Book A.
- 3:37Completely free consultation. Call to explore working with me.
- 3:40For now, don't find a quiet, comfortable place where you
- 3:43won't be distracted or disturbed.
- 3:46Relax and enjoy the session. Take a deep breath in, and as
- 4:18you breathe in, breathe in that slow, long breath of relaxation.
- 4:27And as you exhale, just allow your eyelids to feel heavier and
- 4:37more relaxed. That's it.
- 4:43As you release that breath, feel tensions start to leave your
- 4:47body deeper and deeper, relaxed now.
- 5:06And I want you to imagine breathing in a color that
- 5:12represents worthiness. Whatever that colour feels like
- 5:21it should be, Imagine a bright glowing version of that colour.
- 5:30Imagine that worthiness going in through your nostrils, down your
- 5:34windpipe, into your lungs. And imagine your heart taking
- 5:40that colour of worthiness and distributing it to every cell in
- 5:46your body. And as you exhale, imagine the
- 5:53opposite, leaving your breath a dark shadowy colour that
- 5:58represents unworthiness. I want you to get a feeling
- 6:06then. Sometimes the value we give
- 6:12ourselves can sometimes be tainted by the way other people
- 6:21treat us. I want you to imagine someone
- 6:27sleeping on the street, ignored. Perhaps people are yelling abuse
- 6:43even they experience violence, and it would be easy for that
- 6:49individual to equate how other people treat them as a measure
- 6:57of their value. Imagine that person sleeping on
- 7:04the street is teleported to a different reality, a different
- 7:08universe. They are treated like AVIP in
- 7:14every area of their life. People are opening doors.
- 7:23Any wish, any demand immediately responded to.
- 7:27I want you to get an intuitive feeling that their feeling of
- 7:34worthiness could change. The same person in a different
- 7:41environment can feel more or less worthy, and one of the most
- 7:50powerful things to do to increase a feeling of self worth
- 7:59is to remove yourself from an environment where you're not
- 8:05valued. As you breathe in and breathe
- 8:11out, I want you to imagine looking at a photo album.
- 8:22Even if you've never had a photo album, you know what they look
- 8:25like. Big, thick leather books.
- 8:29Each page has. Three or four photos and imagine
- 8:34this is a photo album of memories up to now.
- 8:44As you look at the. First few pages I want you to
- 8:46see he was a baby and then as a young child living in different
- 8:55places, different countries and I want you to see from the
- 9:02expression on your face how worthy you felt based on
- 9:08different environments you were in.
- 9:15Keep turning the pages and we need to see then all it took.
- 9:23Was a few. People in your life to believe
- 9:26in you, to value you. And things immediately changed.
- 9:35But I want you to imagine. Turning to a.
- 9:37Page in that photo album where you met someone that became the
- 9:45mother of your children, I want you to see how young you looked.
- 9:54Perhaps naive. You'd never had a long term
- 10:00relationship before and I want you to see the qualities in that
- 10:06younger version of you. Qualities of loyalty, love, a
- 10:17desire to support, provide. And in the same way that you had
- 10:25your past and your beliefs, your roles and identity, everyone
- 10:34else has their own. Men often feel that to love is
- 10:45to protect, to provide, to give. And many women grew up watching
- 10:56Disney films where the Princess doesn't need to do anything,
- 11:04that they are the prize, that their responsibility is simply
- 11:10to receive. And we need to look at that
- 11:16through a lens of acceptance, not judgement.
- 11:22People have different ideas as to their role for their
- 11:30responsibilities, and I want you to imagine that every human.
- 11:41Is both. The lock and the key.
- 11:48And I want you to get a sense then you were the key, the kind
- 11:56of fit that lock, but not perfectly.
- 12:03Just enough to feel, feel like it was meant to be.
- 12:12But as you turn the pages of that photo album, I want you to.
- 12:18See it? How often you are relying on
- 12:22hope to make the relationship the relationship that you always
- 12:28wanted. I want you to get a sense then,
- 12:36in the same way that there are some men that don't want a team,
- 12:45they want. A.
- 12:48Trophy. To put on a pedestal and that's
- 12:52what they're looking for in their partner.
- 12:57And some want to be the trophy or be the Princess.
- 13:05And I want you to get a sense that that was never what you
- 13:09were looking for when you look. Back what?
- 13:15You were really looking for was a partnership, A-Team pulling
- 13:22together in the same direction to build a life that you both
- 13:28wanted. But what if that's what you
- 13:33wanted, not necessarily what they wanted?
- 13:41I want you to get a sense of how.
- 13:46Easy it is. For two people to move a sofa
- 13:53from one part of the room to another.
- 14:00It just happens in seconds and think how.
- 14:04Difficult it is. For one person to move that same
- 14:10sofa. And what if you were doing what
- 14:19you could to move that sofa on your own, hoping you'd get
- 14:26someone else to lighten the load?
- 14:32And even when you asked and even when you communicated, it always
- 14:39ended up you moving that sofa all by yourself.
- 14:49And I want you to think as you look through the photos that
- 14:53represent key milestones and memories of those the first few
- 14:57years in that relationship, what were the red flags that were
- 15:04being waved and you avoided? You may have seen them but
- 15:11ignored them, or maybe you didn't notice them at all.
- 15:19But now, with all your experience and wisdom, now when
- 15:22you look back, some of those red flags were obvious.
- 15:29As you turn a page in the photo album, I want you to.
- 15:32See pictures of. An early holiday Some people
- 15:39consider an early holiday in a relationship as a litmus test, a
- 15:49clue. It's almost like a relationship
- 15:56training at altitude. If the relationship.
- 16:01Is strong that holiday? Will bring people closer
- 16:05together, but if. It's the wrong key for the wrong
- 16:12lock. An early holiday could reveal
- 16:19the lack of compatibility what if, all along, what you wanted
- 16:27was different from what they wanted and what if you ignored
- 16:33those early signs because of your own past the belief that
- 16:40you can simply. Will it?
- 16:42To make it work. If there's a problem, you'll
- 16:46fix. It and.
- 16:49What if by doing that? The other.
- 16:53Person started to feel less of a need to change or alter
- 17:02themselves because all of the changing and altering was being
- 17:08done by you. As you turn the pages and see
- 17:15these memories, I want you to feel how.
- 17:20Easy it is. To extract all of the wisdom
- 17:26wisdom about what kind of person do you really want to be with
- 17:35wisdom about what are you willing to tolerate and what are
- 17:41you not willing to tolerate some people believe that the the
- 17:49reason that bad things happen to good people is that you get what
- 17:55you. Tolerate.
- 17:57Not what you deserve and I want you to see.
- 18:04As you flick those pages. Just how much you tolerated and
- 18:11therefore. You received.
- 18:16What you tolerated, your intention was good, but at some
- 18:23level you enabled everything in that relationship to happen the
- 18:32way it happened. Because by accepting it, the
- 18:40message implicitly is that this is OK.
- 18:49But knowing what you now know, I want you to imagine updating
- 18:53those photos to what they would have been.
- 19:00Those. Early meetings, dates,
- 19:03conversations may have meant that a relationship never became
- 19:11a relationship, someone you simply got to know and figured
- 19:16out wasn't quite compatible for you.
- 19:20Or maybe it was an early holiday, but rather than that
- 19:28holiday finishing no longer on speaking terms, rather than that
- 19:34creating a desire to make it better, what if that was all the
- 19:40information you needed to think it over and think, this isn't
- 19:47quite right, It's not for me. As you update memories to new
- 19:55choices, empowered, discerning choices, I want you to get a
- 20:02feeling that when it comes to relationships, if it's not quite
- 20:07as you want it to be, you don't end it.
- 20:11You mend it. It gives it a chance, but I want
- 20:19you to feel not. Just a belief, but a.
- 20:22Conviction taking form that if you try to mend it and you can't
- 20:29mend it, you can't get the relationship.
- 20:32To the level. That you're happy and fulfilled
- 20:35in that relationship, then your duty is to end it.
- 20:44For the good. Of you, and for the good of them
- 20:48and for the good of anyone else involved, I want you to get a
- 20:54sense that time is precious. And to stay in something that
- 21:01isn't quite there means that time that could be deployed
- 21:09elsewhere for you and them gets tied up and something not quite
- 21:16right. And if your unconscious is
- 21:22willing to extract the wisdom of the past to influence the
- 21:26future, let me know by nodding your head.
- 21:31That's in. But let's not just extract
- 21:36wisdom. Let's extract gratitude.
- 21:39I want you to think how much you've grown over that time, how
- 21:43you've evolved your level of self-awareness.
- 21:51Demons of the past that have banished your resilience, your.
- 21:59Capabilities. All enhanced and then see the
- 22:06photos in that album of the births or early memories of your
- 22:11children. It's.
- 22:15Possible that incredible. Things can come from a
- 22:20relationship that wasn't ideal, and you get to be grateful.
- 22:27Grateful that incredible things can come from things that were
- 22:33suboptimal a rotten. Fruit could be.
- 22:39Thrown into the ground and the seeds of that rotten fruit.
- 22:45Could create. Wonderful, impressive trees.
- 22:50While the fruit. Wasn't desirable.
- 22:54It doesn't mean it had no value. As you breathe in and breathe
- 22:59out, extract the gratitude and the wisdom from that
- 23:04relationship with a clear perspective.
- 23:11But it was never yours to own. She was never a possession.
- 23:20She was a passenger in the journey of your life, and you
- 23:28were a passenger on hers. And for a while, you were two
- 23:35passengers sat side by side sharing a journey, but the
- 23:41journey was never, ever going to the same destination.
- 23:48And when you think of that now, it all makes sense.
- 23:53And you've sat next to passengers on a train or a plane
- 23:58and you don't think about them when that journey ends.
- 24:05This may have been a longer journey and you may have been
- 24:08passengers for longer, but now anything that they do, unless it
- 24:17directly impacts your children, is none of your concern.
- 24:25Their choices are their choices. Their decisions are their
- 24:31decisions. But that also applies to you.
- 24:37Your choices are your choices and your decisions are your
- 24:43decisions. I want you to get a flavour and
- 24:50a feeling. Then you were too reliant on
- 24:54hope, and rather than relying on hope, I want you to be willing
- 25:05to make choices and decisions based on reality, not hope and
- 25:14wishful thinking that when shown someone shows you who they are.
- 25:23You believe your own eyes and your own experiences when they.
- 25:26Show you believe. Them and if they're
- 25:33disrespectful, rude. It's information.
- 25:39For you to. Influence your choices, your
- 25:42decisions. There is no obligation to stay
- 25:47in a relationship that is 1 sided, that is parasitic, where
- 25:55you're the. Host.
- 25:57And they just take and take. That's not a relationship,
- 26:04that's a transaction. And if your unconscious is now
- 26:09willing to draw a line on the past, the same it.
- 26:17Is what it is. And it was what it was.
- 26:23So any. Thoughts and emotions that come
- 26:25up from this point forward are simply echoes.
- 26:30Echoes of the. Past and any pangs of desire are
- 26:38not for the past, it's for the future that you are currently
- 26:44creating. If your unconscious mind is
- 26:50willing to extract all the. Value.
- 26:53From the past and now move. On from it.
- 26:56Let me know by nodding your head.
- 26:59That's it. And now, as you turn the pages
- 27:03of that photo album, I want you to imagine seeing yourself over
- 27:06the next few months with a new. Level of confidence.
- 27:11A new lease of life with all. Of that.
- 27:15Wisdom and gratitude. In the future, if anyone asks
- 27:20about that relationship, you speak from a place of how much
- 27:26wiser you are and how grateful you are.
- 27:29No resentment. No bitterness.
- 27:31No. Anger because it doesn't exist.
- 27:37What you truly have. There's a feeling of gratitude.
- 27:45You're grateful for what it did for you, but you're more
- 27:49discerning now to avoid history repeating.
- 27:57See yourself over the next few months.
- 28:00New dates, new interactions. Not from a place of.
- 28:08Weakness from a place of strength.
- 28:13The wisest. Most capable?
- 28:15Version of you and anyone that doesn't want that is good news
- 28:25for you because it means you don't need to be so discerning.
- 28:33You only need to be discerning with those that are interested
- 28:36in you. I want you to feel that whatever
- 28:41happens, you're moving forward. Every day makes you wiser, every
- 28:50interaction more discerning, and you are operating from a belief.
- 28:57You don't need a relationship. You're just open to the right
- 29:03relationship. And I want you to imagine that
- 29:06future relationship in the early weeks, perhaps months of that
- 29:13relationship before it becomes exclusive or serious.
- 29:19I want you to get a sense that you initiate.
- 29:22Conversations about the. Future or a shared holiday so
- 29:29that you can extract the value of the past to be more
- 29:33discerning in the future. Your unconscious mind agrees.
- 29:38Let me know by nodding your head.
- 29:41That's it. Imagine closing that photo album
- 29:48and try and think about the far the past in a way that makes you
- 29:51feel sad or nostalgic and notice how elusive it is.
- 29:57It becomes impossible to think about that relationship without
- 30:00feeling that you're wiser and grateful that you have moved on
- 30:09completely. Start to leave this place in
- 30:15your imagination. So take a deep breath in through
- 30:18your nose and down through your nose.
- 30:23Wiggle your fingers. Wiggle your toes.
- 30:26Start to connect and calibrate into the here and the now as I
- 30:30now count from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you starting to count 123
- 30:37waking up 456 more alert. 78. Open your eyes.
- 30:43Open your eyes 910 Wide awake, Wide awake.
- 30:49Wide awake. Thank you.
