- 2:41It is moisty in the air. It is cold.
- 2:44We like this. We can breathe.
- 2:46And when I keep saying this, when you see smoke coming out of
- 2:48your mouth, it's winter time. It's fall time.
- 2:51Did you just say moisty? It's moisty.
- 2:53Yeah, it's moisty. It's moisty in the air.
- 2:56You feel like, you know how it gets foggy outside it.
- 2:59It's not too cold, but it's not too hot and and you feel the
- 3:03moist in the air. That's when it's moisty and.
- 3:07That's when the fog will do. Or muggy maybe?
- 3:10I say moisty. I I think it's a little bit more
- 3:13of a moist in the air. We need to, we need to make like
- 3:16a thing. We need to keep track of like
- 3:18words. You just make up and like make
- 3:20like a shirt and be like Marx. We can't say Marxism because
- 3:23that doesn't work. First of all, moisty is a word.
- 3:27I mean there is moist in the air, so I don't know.
- 3:31Moist is a word. It is, yeah, it is.
- 3:34So it is absolutely my dictionary, by the way, and I
- 3:38feel that when it is, and by the way, when my bones start hurting
- 3:42me with all the injuries that I've had in the past, I, I know
- 3:47that it's not too cold, it's not too hot and, and there's some
- 3:50kind of like moist in the air And that's how I feel.
- 3:53And, and, and it usually happens on these kind of nights because
- 3:57I was outside, I was walking before I come into the show.
- 4:01I always do like I do a walk around the block.
- 4:04It kind of gives me that adrenaline rush.
- 4:06It gives me something so I can get into the studio and feel a
- 4:08little bit better. And there's fish being an idiot.
- 4:10But you know, anyways, I, I, I like to, you know, check out the
- 4:16air and see what it's going to feel like outside.
- 4:18And, and, and today it, it just it, you could see when the, when
- 4:22the sun goes down and the fog comes out, it's, I feel like
- 4:27it's just moisty outside. So that's how I feel and that's
- 4:31it. But nevertheless, it's been a
- 4:34crazy, crazy so far, short week for me.
- 4:37I've really been working on some things for what we're going to
- 4:41be doing moving forward. We have a live show coming up
- 4:44and we we were going to move it to January 12th.
- 4:48It's now going to be January 13th.
- 4:51We're right now trying to get things together who we're going
- 4:54to get in to do some Q&A's with us and some interviews with us
- 4:58and have a little fun with the fans.
- 5:00And once we have all that information, ladies and
- 5:03gentlemen, we will definitely announce it on our show.
- 5:06But like I said it, it's not easy setting up a live events.
- 5:10And I know a lot of people sitting here today saying, oh,
- 5:12well, I've done it before. I, I do a lot of live events
- 5:15when it comes to DJ ING and you know, emceeing parties and
- 5:20events. And I'm actually doing one
- 5:22December 6th, I'm doing a runway show where I'm going to be
- 5:26emceeing and DJ ING this big runway show and I will do an
- 5:31announcement. It's going to be held in Queens.
- 5:33There's going to be about 160 people there, a lot of different
- 5:38people, maybe some stars, movie stars that are going to be there
- 5:41to show up. And I was asked to host it and
- 5:44and DJ it and I'm actually going to have a sit down on Friday
- 5:48with the designer. So that'll be fun.
- 5:49I always love those things and I'm into fashion and I love what
- 5:54he's doing right now. So once, once I get all the
- 5:57particulars put, you know, put together, I will definitely make
- 6:00an announcement. So if you're a clothing fan or
- 6:03you like different new styles and the European look that's out
- 6:07there right now, well, I I could definitely tell you this guy is
- 6:11one of the best that I've seen that's coming up in and moving
- 6:15forward in his line of clothing. So it's it's fun.
- 6:17Deion Sanders is in the tabloids told reporters today.
- 6:22Despite Colorado three and seven record this season, he still
- 6:26thinks he's the right guy to be there as their head coach.
- 6:31He asked for Colorado to just give him the opportunity and a
- 6:35little more time to rebuild the team in his image.
- 6:39After a nine and four season in 2024, Deion Sanders got a new
- 6:43five year 50 more $54 million contract extension.
- 6:47I didn't know about this at Colorado, but the athletic
- 6:50director Rick George, who gave him that deal, is stepping down
- 6:55this year. And while Dionne is not at risk
- 6:59of losing his job currently, that may not be the same under
- 7:04new leadership. Dionne, who is 58, has also
- 7:08recently batted battled several health issues from getting toe
- 7:13amputate, his toe amputated to battling bladder cancer and
- 7:18recently dealing with blood clots is now dealing with this
- 7:24situation. In his almost three seasons,
- 7:28Colorado Deion Sanders has a 16 and 19 overall record, but only
- 7:33a nine and 16 record in the conference and his play.
- 7:38It hasn't gone his way this season, his first ever without
- 7:42his son Shidor and Shiloh, both of his sons and his almost
- 7:47adopted son, the Heisman Trophy winner, corner receiver,
- 7:51whatever you call him. I don't even call him a Unicorn.
- 7:54I'll call him the Gremlin, the ugliest gremlin alive, Travis,
- 7:57AKA pain in the butt hunter who's now out for the NFL
- 8:01season. So nothing more, nothing less.
- 8:04It's the best that Gremlin can get.
- 8:06Anyways, that rhymed. That was pretty good.
- 8:10I, that's definitely not something I would do on my spare
- 8:12times. But hey, I tell you, somebody
- 8:14that likes to rhyme in a spare time, especially during the
- 8:17draft, is Chador, and he was rhyming his way to the fifth
- 8:20round. Exception doorway never called
- 8:23Travis Hunter a gremlin. Mr. Prime blind himself anyways,
- 8:28I'm definitely not blinded to see what's going on with this
- 8:30Deion Sanders thing And and it's pretty obvious Deion Sanders is
- 8:36very well respected. He's knowledgeable for what he
- 8:40has done as an NFL player and what he did at Jackson State.
- 8:45Jackson State was AD one school, but it was a conference nobody
- 8:51cared about. Nobody cared about Jackson State
- 8:54and the conference they were coming from.
- 8:55That's why he was undefeated and and that's why Travis Hunter was
- 8:59doing what he was doing. And by the way, Travis Hunter
- 9:02was still a good college player with Colorado.
- 9:05Just I think highly overrated and highly coveted when he won
- 9:09the Heisman Trophy. The record expresses and tells
- 9:14you what Deion Sanders is mediocre at best.
- 9:20He is not a good coach and is and I'm not saying that Deion
- 9:23Sanders doesn't know the game of basketball and by guys, this is
- 9:26not me being or being a tainted attentive to attack a guy like
- 9:32Prime. I I I have a lot of respect for
- 9:34prime's game. I think he you can argue him and
- 9:37Darrelle Revis are the greatest corners and maybe Charles
- 9:39Woodson. I would put those three guys are
- 9:41the three best I've ever seen. They're sensational.
- 9:44All three of them, you can argue, are the greatest corners,
- 9:48greatest DBS we've ever seen. Deion Sanders went to Colorado
- 9:55and practically banished all the players that were part of that
- 9:59team. As a matter of fact, he told the
- 10:01players that were a part when they decided to be recruited.
- 10:04When he took over that team, he said, we'll get ready.
- 10:07There's a portal. You might as well look towards
- 10:09the portal. I'm not bringing you back and
- 10:11you're not probably going to be a part of this team.
- 10:13He was so eager to go out there and, and by the way, has anybody
- 10:19checked out his prime show on Prime, Prime, Amazon Prime,
- 10:24whatever the hell they call it Prime.
- 10:26So I, I mean, I've been the last couple of years, I've tuned into
- 10:30some of the crap that I've seen with Deion Sanders and he loves
- 10:33the cameras following him. And I feel bad for the health
- 10:36issues he has. I don't wish harm with Deion
- 10:39Sanders. I think Deion Sanders is
- 10:41probably one of the most per, you know, great personal
- 10:45personality, you know, people you'll ever meet.
- 10:49I've never met him, but anybody that's met him, he they say
- 10:52he's, he's a great person. He's he's funny, he's energetic.
- 10:56You'll love him. I don't know.
- 10:57So I I can't tell you that. What I do know is Deion Sanders
- 11:02is a loser when it comes to building a Colorado team that
- 11:06was good last year. They were 94.
- 11:09But if you look at the games that they've won and even the
- 11:11teams that they played, the games that they lost were
- 11:15against probably top end teams. And they never played a top 20
- 11:20defense at any point last year at any point.
- 11:25And everybody keeps talking about Shador's this and Shador's
- 11:27that. He's the greatest quarterback in
- 11:29that draft class, really, because in game number one or
- 11:33half a game, he looked like the worst I've ever seen.
- 11:36And statistics would tell you he could be.
- 11:39I mean, Brandon Whedon was the only one that had a worst worst
- 11:42game in his debut. Brown's legend.
- 11:45I mean, seriously. No.
- 11:46The Brown quarterback by the. Way we're about to find out
- 11:49because he's starting again. Well, good luck and farewell to
- 11:52the Cleveland Browns. The right now, I, I don't know
- 11:58where Deion Sanders is going to go after they bring in a guy
- 12:03another, another Colorado athletic director, Rick George
- 12:07obviously believed in coach prime and coach prime decided to
- 12:12bring in some of the guys that we know and some of the coaches
- 12:15that decided to part ways with coach after the season last year
- 12:18and went on to be an assistant coach or coaches in the NFL or
- 12:23whatever the hell they're doing now.
- 12:24And, and I, I understand that a lot of people, including yours
- 12:28truly that don't give him enough credit.
- 12:30I think, I think he's a smart man.
- 12:33I think he knows the game of football.
- 12:34When you, you were special, you had an athletic ability that
- 12:38other people couldn't compete with.
- 12:40You were great punt returner, great defensive player.
- 12:43Nobody can compete with you all in the football field.
- 12:46As a matter of fact, I've heard many, many times Jerry White,
- 12:49Jerry Rice come out and say about and talk about him.
- 12:52I've heard Barry Sanders say a lot of great things about Deion
- 12:55Sanders, how fast he was athletically gifted.
- 12:58He was, Michael Irvin said he was.
- 13:02He couldn't do anything against Dion Sanders.
- 13:04So he was happy when Dion Sanders went to the Cowboys
- 13:06because he didn't have to play one-on-one against him when he
- 13:08was playing, when he was playing against them in San Francisco.
- 13:11So we know what he was as a player.
- 13:13There are other guys. The players that he is coaching
- 13:16are not him. They're not him.
- 13:18They're not gifted like him. He was special.
- 13:22He was one of very few players that could play 2 sports in the
- 13:25same year and bounce from one to the other.
- 13:28Was he good at baseball? I would say no, but it wasn't
- 13:31bad. He wasn't horrible, but he
- 13:33wasn't he wasn't what he was in football.
- 13:36But right now Colorado is is on a fall.
- 13:40I don't know if anybody's going to want to go and play for
- 13:44Colorado anymore. The the time of Prime could be
- 13:48gone because why would you go and play for Coach Prime when
- 13:52Coach Prime hasn't proven to play in a big ball game?
- 13:56I'm talking about one of the big ball games, the Rose Bowl or
- 13:58even playing in the final 12 for a national championship.
- 14:01When he said when he took over for Colorado, he believes in in
- 14:05three years he'd be there. And then he was talking about
- 14:09how Saban was his was a guy that he looked up to.
- 14:12And then if he can compare himself to anybody, I coach my I
- 14:15would compare myself to coach, Coach Saban.
- 14:18Well, he's nowhere close to Coach Saban.
- 14:20Not even close. I mean, Sabin won how many
- 14:23national championships? 7 total, 6 in Alabama.
- 14:26Well, I remember five of them in in my time.
- 14:29I mean, but I know we won in LSU and I guess he won 6IN in
- 14:32Alabama, but I he he's nowhere close to he's nowhere close to
- 14:37Sabin. I don't think he's anywhere
- 14:38close to Dabo Sweeney. He's nowhere close to any of
- 14:42those guys Where a lot of people a few years ago when he took
- 14:45over Colorado, they were like I take the I take prime over Dabo.
- 14:49I take I I take prime over a lot of these big time coaches, these
- 14:53big name coaches, because players are going to want to go
- 14:54and play for him. But now when you see it, when
- 14:56you watch prime, you watch his his documentary.
- 14:59Do you really want to play for him?
- 15:02Because I've seen him off the field, besides to his sons and
- 15:05besides to his adopted son, Mr. Gremlin himself.
- 15:09He's mean and he's very straightforward to his players.
- 15:14You don't like the way I coach, you go to the portal and get out
- 15:17of here and that's not the way you coach teams.
- 15:20We, we mentioned a couple of coaches that just got a new job,
- 15:23but there's one that just got a nice job at Virginia Tech and,
- 15:26and we, we, I speak very highly of him.
- 15:29I saw what he did with Penn State.
- 15:30A lot of Penn State fans don't like him because he can never
- 15:33get into a national championship.
- 15:34Fine, fine, fine. What is his record?
- 15:37What was his record at Penn State?
- 15:38Pretty damn good. He had a 610 win seasons,
- 15:41whereas Deion Sanders has 16 total wins.
- 15:43Pretty damn good. I mean, Deion Sanders.
- 15:46Think about it, Shador who was a predominant #1 pick or first
- 15:51round draft pick and and Travis Hunter.
- 15:54Travis Hunter, who won a Heisman Trophy, we see what he's done in
- 15:58the NFL in his first year, really nothing.
- 16:00And Shador in 1/2 a game. And I know what Jabba said,
- 16:04we'll see if you what he does in a in his first full game.
- 16:07I don't know if you're going to see much more than what we saw
- 16:09in game #1 the fact here is can he teach young guys the game of
- 16:16football? That's the question, and I
- 16:18understand that he, he, to me that, that the talent that he
- 16:22was on a football field and what we've seen, we've seen two
- 16:25players go to the end, actually 3 Shiloh got a job, got a, got a
- 16:28contract with the Eagles. I don't know how that happened.
- 16:31Maybe just because his last name is Sanders.
- 16:33He was dropped by the Buccaneers and all of a sudden the Eagles
- 16:37took a chance for him, a chance with him and what he's sitting
- 16:39the bench as #5056 or 55. He might as well be a pun
- 16:44returner or a punter. He should be a punter.
- 16:47Shiloh should be a punter. Deion Sanders right now has
- 16:52proven to me he's not a coach. And maybe I don't think.
- 16:56And by the way, thank God the Cowboys didn't hire him.
- 16:59I, I, I could say that he, I don't know if he can coach.
- 17:03So you're saying the Cowboys made a smart move?
- 17:05That's Jerry Jones did the right thing.
- 17:07Brian Schottenheimer is not awful Java.
- 17:09No, he's not. Or not.
- 17:10No, definitely not. They have one of the best
- 17:12offenses in the league right now.
- 17:14So the fact there is is Jerry Jones did the Cowboys right and
- 17:18in Colorado right now they're in a shit load of trouble.
- 17:21Excuse my language because they just gave him an extension of
- 17:25five years 54,000,000 and I don't know if he's going to last
- 17:29with the new regime. As a matter of fact, if I was a
- 17:31new new director, I'm saying to myself, do I want to deal with
- 17:36Coach Prime when I'm trying to recruit players and bring in a
- 17:41bring in a new style of offense, a new style of perception of
- 17:45Colorado football, the answer would be no.
- 17:48I don't want to deal with Prime because we've seen what Prime
- 17:51does behind the scenes. He is uncontrollable.
- 17:54He speaks out loud and he doesn't do the right thing for
- 17:59the director. When the director comes out at
- 18:01the end of the season or even beginning of the season when
- 18:03he's going over some of the moves that they made, the first
- 18:06thing the director is doing is not challenging the coach.
- 18:09Well, guess what? Now this is not his coach.
- 18:13You're going to come in and you're going to challenge
- 18:15everything Prime does because he's not your guy.
- 18:18So to me, the first thing Colorado needs to do is fire
- 18:23Prime because it's never going to work.
- 18:26It never works when you bring in a new director, a director like
- 18:30Rick George, who believed in Prime because he extended him
- 18:33and all of a sudden it just bounced.
- 18:35Bounced. He didn't get fired.
- 18:36He bounced. He said, you know what, screw
- 18:39this. I don't want to deal with this
- 18:41anymore. I'm not stamping my name to this
- 18:43anymore. I'm done with this.
- 18:45Dad, ladies and gentlemen, tells you everything about Coach Prime
- 18:49and where Colorado football is going.
- 18:52Colorado football was going nowhere as it was for about a
- 18:54decade. And again, you took the chance
- 18:56on a flashy hire. OK, Deion Sanders, the big name.
- 18:59I'm going to get more recruits this way.
- 19:00I'm going to get more five star talent.
- 19:02And it still was not the same case because Deion Sanders, we
- 19:05talked about it last year, transferred 66 new guys all at
- 19:09once. Some exited the transfer portal.
- 19:11One safety even came out and said how abusive he was and how
- 19:14abusive his son was at certain points.
- 19:16And then they got a bunch of new players that come in and all of
- 19:19a sudden you you have a good season 1, good season 9 and 4.
- 19:22But again, like you said, they don't beat any ranked teams.
- 19:24They only played one ranked team ever.
- 19:26That was TCU their first year in 2023.
- 19:28And they were a team that just came off a national championship
- 19:31game lost that lost about 12 players in the NFL draft and a
- 19:33bunch of others to graduation. So how much do you really
- 19:36consider that a ranked win? Then all of a sudden you can't
- 19:38even actually be a good in game head coach and there's a lot of
- 19:42questionable decisions he made. You know, that feud that Shador
- 19:45had with the the Colorado State quarterback his second year in
- 19:48the league, which that made a lot of head waves and Deion
- 19:50Sanders was defending his son. And for all that, it really
- 19:53doesn't show any reputation as a leader.
- 19:55So now you deal with a situation like this where if you if you
- 19:58write and a new athletic director says, I don't want to
- 20:00deal with this crap. Now all of a sudden you're
- 20:02dealing with a buyout. That's going to be pretty big
- 20:04for a coach that won 16 games with 16 and 19 against Big 12
- 20:08and PAC 12 competition. The PAC 12 had a good year their
- 20:11last year in 20. When Washington went to the
- 20:13national championship game, How about.
- 20:14Sportsmanship, you saw what happened with Shador Sanders
- 20:17after game #1 he wouldn't even get up and and meet Lamar
- 20:21Jackson in the middle of the field.
- 20:23Lamar who under I said this on Monday, Lamar who knows
- 20:28everything on how the NFL treated him when he when he
- 20:31first started to play and how a lot of people thought he wasn't
- 20:34going to be successful in the league the way he plays the
- 20:36game. Well, everybody, including yours
- 20:38truly was wrong about Lamar Jackson.
- 20:41He is arguably the most talented and most athletic quarterback
- 20:45I've ever seen, even more than I would say Aaron Rodgers.
- 20:49He is athletically gifted. And I'm not saying Shadour is
- 20:52Lamar Jackson, but if there's anybody that you want to have a
- 20:55conversation with, it's Lamar Jackson.
- 20:57Instead of putting your hands on your head wondering what did I
- 21:00do? What did this cheap do to me?
- 21:03Why did they put me through this?
- 21:05Where am I? Am I on the sidelines of the the
- 21:08Browns or am I hanging out with Deshaun Watson and playing with
- 21:12my Wiener? Who knows?
- 21:14Absolutely embarrassing. And that goes to Mr. Prime
- 21:17himself, his dad, who really doesn't teach him sportsmanship.
- 21:21It's been a big problem with Shiloh, too.
- 21:23Look what Shiloh did in a preseason game.
- 21:26Do we remember? Why do you think the Buccaneers
- 21:28dropped him? Oh, I am sorry he decided to go
- 21:32out. It was a Baltimore Ravens.
- 21:34I think I remember it. He decides to hit a tight end in
- 21:38the face, hit him in the face, punch him in the face for one
- 21:43reason. Oh well, he did.
- 21:45He said something to me. Come on, guys.
- 21:48Or he it's ridiculous. You're a baby, a big baby,
- 21:52absolutely embarrassing. And that's not I'm not even
- 21:54getting to the Travis Hunter situation.
- 21:56Another another disturbing person himself.
- 21:59So. Yeah, it's also when you look at
- 22:01the trends of coaches we've seen coming to the league and Java,
- 22:04you and Goody have talked about it like how there's a lot of
- 22:06baseball players, former baseball players becoming
- 22:08managers. We've seen in the NFL now where
- 22:10you're getting a lot of these ex quarterbacks, even ex
- 22:12linebackers like you mentioned, Fitzroy, Tamika Ryan's that have
- 22:14become coded. You're not seeing that same kind
- 22:16of trend as much in college football because of something
- 22:18like this where maybe they just want too much control or too
- 22:21much power. And again, he couldn't even do
- 22:22it in the Big 12. Now granted, I'm not saying
- 22:24either Colorado is the same resources that a a Texas or a
- 22:27Texas A&M would have or something like that.
- 22:28He's coach prime. He's in the Big 12 A conference.
- 22:31Coach prime that. Has been kind of mediocre in the
- 22:33College Football Playoff era and they still can only have one
- 22:37good season, a nine and four record last year, which OK,
- 22:40yeah, they had some decent conference wins, but it's not
- 22:43like you're beating. It's not like you're beating the
- 22:45Big 10 or the SEC or anything like that.
- 22:47They're the 4th conference right now in this new format in the
- 22:50power Four. And then you were previously in
- 22:51the PAC 12, which like I said, 2023 was a good year for them.
- 22:54Washington makes the title game. Oregon's good for a while.
- 22:56You're not beating any of those teams and you were still stinky
- 22:58A5 and seven team or something like that.
- 23:00Like it's not like you're really gaining as an in game head coach
- 23:03either. In additional everything that
- 23:04Errol was saying, the personality drama, especially
- 23:07with your sons there that you're going to cost.
- 23:09It's tough when you go into a situation where you knew what
- 23:15you were really getting into. Honestly, like they maybe not to
- 23:19the extent of what it was, but you knew you were getting
- 23:22primed. Dion's always been Dion That
- 23:24that is one thing you can't knock him for.
- 23:27He has always been himself. You knew what you were going to
- 23:30get the right guy for the job. I, I don't know how, what, where
- 23:37he is right and, and what version of right is, is it right
- 23:43personality, right demeanor, right coaching style, right
- 23:47attitude? Like are you, are you here to?
- 23:51And I actually had this conversation with my, my
- 23:54pitching coach here at Nebraska, who's now he's definitely
- 23:58changed his, his style of coaching over his 30 years of
- 24:03being a pitching coach and a head coach.
- 24:05I mean, taking numerous teams to the College World Series and and
- 24:10he goes it it's just hard because now am I, am I raising
- 24:14or am I trying to help this kid for the next 40 years or am I
- 24:18trying to help him next four years?
- 24:20Because they're not going to make this, you know, a living,
- 24:24right. So I got a strike.
- 24:26Why the match is hot here for these four years.
- 24:29And you know, do you is he the right person for that type of
- 24:33environment? Probably because he is going to
- 24:36get him the, or him the exposure that they need and get more eyes
- 24:42on them then maybe another school of that caliber does.
- 24:46But also at the same time, you, you brought up his kids and
- 24:49obviously there's no book on how to raise a parent.
- 24:51So I, I, I'm not even going to talk about what his kids are,
- 24:56whatever decision, because you don't know, you're not in that
- 24:59household. You can't talk to him as a
- 25:00parent. You see the way they act.
- 25:01Is that sometimes a reflection on you as a parent?
- 25:04Yes, but sometimes it's not. Sometimes they're adults.
- 25:07They have to grow up and do that themselves.
- 25:09So it's just hard to, to what is that right for him to, you know,
- 25:14be the mentor or at the same time you like, hey, I understand
- 25:18this game has changed and you have to make your money in these
- 25:22four years. I'm the right person to do that.
- 25:24About making money, maybe not be about paying debts a story came
- 25:28out three hours ago, Errol that Shiloh Sanders owes yet another
- 25:32law firm about $170,000 because he that he didn't pay stemming
- 25:38from that incident when he was. Security guard, yeah.
- 25:40Where he hit the security guard? I'm reading right here.
- 25:42Leaving the security guard in 2015 I think.
- 25:45He was a 15 year old kid with severe and permanent injuries,
- 25:49including a broken neck, damage to his cervical spine, permanent
- 25:53neurological injuries, and irreversible incontinence.
- 25:58If you don't know what that means, you can Google it.
- 26:00We're not going to talk about it.
- 26:00That sucks. That's like, that's really bad.
- 26:03That guy's screwed for life around that guy screwed for
- 26:06life, you know, is now a caretaker of that guy.
- 26:09If they're family, it's that completely different
- 26:11relationship. He never paid him and he filed
- 26:14for bankruptcy. Because of Pops, because his
- 26:16father told. Him.
- 26:17His dad advised him not to and I think, and that's my point, and
- 26:22we and I killed him for it at the time when this came out like
- 26:24a year and a half ago that they and then they got screwed
- 26:27because they didn't even show up to court and they got given the
- 26:30summary judgement of the total amount, which was like almost
- 26:32$12 million. And he ain't paying, and he's
- 26:36claiming that he's bankrupt, yet he's posting videos of him on
- 26:41Instagram sponsored by Fanatics Sports Book, changing tires at
- 26:47NASCAR events and doing whatever else under an LLC that
- 26:52apparently is also stealing money.
- 26:54That's also in this article from Yahoo Sports.
- 26:58That's Shiloh. That's not Dionne.
- 27:01But again, if I'm sending a kid to college, I think I'd want to
- 27:05know a little bit about the coach.
- 27:07And that's something I know about the coach.
- 27:10You know that that is that is one thing that you you bring up
- 27:15a great point right there. Fish that coach Childress that
- 27:19he really like he he's like he goes now.
- 27:22It's it's a lot of this back and forth and he we were just
- 27:26talking directly about baseball, how baseball now in college is
- 27:30basically you're a free agent every year.
- 27:32And he said he's had plenty of kids where he's literally been
- 27:36like, you know what it's, it's the creative thing.
- 27:39But he goes, the one thing I have to rely on and, and you
- 27:42brought it up, he goes, I have to rely on the relationship now.
- 27:46And because you know, the days of the coaches coming to sit in
- 27:50your living room and handwritten letters and all that's gone,
- 27:53right? That that's gone.
- 27:55And he goes, I have to do it differently.
- 27:57But he goes, I have to rely on relationships.
- 27:59And if you don't create that, and if you don't send your
- 28:0317/18/1920 I mean, shoot, Carter will go to a new college when
- 28:07he's, he's 20 years old. So a young man, not quite a man
- 28:11yet, but a young man that's had some, you know, independence of
- 28:14his own, but still still learning wet behind the ears
- 28:18where it's do you trust that relationship with this man or
- 28:22this woman to, to put them in the right decision and, and hold
- 28:26them accountable as much as you know, you hold your own kid
- 28:29accountable and it, it's tough and, and fish, you're right.
- 28:32You, you want to know like what the hell, That's an everyday
- 28:36thing. This isn't just like, hey, it's
- 28:39a Tuesday, Thursday class. You're not going to know all the
- 28:41professors, but this is somebody that can impact your your son
- 28:45and daughter in more ways than one, not only athletically, but
- 28:50as an individual, as a friend, as, as somebody to, you know, be
- 28:53accountable. Like it's huge.
- 28:56And I don't think a lot of people recognize that enough to
- 29:01where they just see dollar signs or they see my my son or
- 29:06daughter as, you know, a ticket instead of like, Hey, this,
- 29:09there's more to it. What is, what is this man or
- 29:12woman stand for like? And, and that's a really that's,
- 29:15that's a great point. And I, you know, thinking about
- 29:18it too, it's, it's you kind of get caught up in the moment too,
- 29:21as a parent where you're like, OK, is this the best fit?
- 29:24But like, oh, he, he can make this money or what?
- 29:26In like, it's, it's really crazy where it comes down to the
- 29:30relationship and, and do you trust them and, and do you
- 29:33believe in them to to make your child the best version of
- 29:36themselves they can be for the time that they are with you?
- 29:40I will say this and and I know a lot of people are coach prime
- 29:44fans and and I'm not attacking him personally as a father.
- 29:49I never do. I'm I'm telling you what, I'm
- 29:51not a father, so I don't I don't know how I would control my 18
- 29:55or 17 year old son. So I don't know, not yet.
- 29:58And whenever I become a dad. And I still don't know how I do
- 30:02it. Like it's still, I'm still, I'm
- 30:03still questioning myself, you know, So it's, you never really
- 30:06know. I don't know how I would
- 30:08probably tell my son or I try to approach my son on how to handle
- 30:12something like that. But I will say this.
- 30:16If I'm a parent and I know my kid has a chance to go and play
- 30:20for any school he wants and he has a list of schools, 20
- 30:25schools and Coach Prime sitting over there and he's coming into
- 30:28my house and he's pitching my son.
- 30:31Hey, you come to Colorado, you have a chance to win.
- 30:34You get to you get a chance to be coached by some of my great
- 30:37coaches that were NFL players. And you get to be coached by me
- 30:41and you have a chance to be a professional football player in
- 30:45the future. Because I'm going to give you
- 30:47the information that and a lot of these coaches can't give you,
- 30:50as he probably says, I still look at all the things and I
- 30:55layer all the things that Prime has done over the last four
- 31:00years, including leaving Jackson State when he told Jackson State
- 31:03he is there for the long run. And then all of a sudden took a
- 31:07hiatus because Colorado offered him, hey, I'm going to give you
- 31:12this and I'm going to give you the reins and you're going to
- 31:15get an opportunity to win a national championship with
- 31:18Colorado. To me, that was a smack in the
- 31:21face to Jackson State who gave him all the reins and he he'd
- 31:25set up on his little Prime documentary.
- 31:27He was never leaving. He doesn't want to do that.
- 31:29And then coming out when he took over Colorado saying he would
- 31:33never coach in the NFL. He would never interview for an
- 31:36NFL job because he didn't want to coach prima Donna babies, he
- 31:40says. I'd rather coach young, young
- 31:43men and teach them how to play the game of football.
- 31:45Well, guess what? In the offseason, what did he
- 31:48do? He was speaking to owners and
- 31:51speaking to GM's about coaching in the NFL.
- 31:54So that tells me everything that Prime has told or spoken, not
- 32:00only to the media, to everybody, including his own players and
- 32:04own coaches and own directors. He is done the opposite.
- 32:09So how could I trust him as a coach with my kid?
- 32:13The answer would be I wouldn't. I would not trust him and I
- 32:18would say no to him. And I would rather deal with
- 32:21somebody like, you know, Mr. Kelly, Brian Kelly, who's no
- 32:24longer a coach over there from LSU.
- 32:26I'd rather take a little bit more information from him and
- 32:31get the information from him that a guy that's actually
- 32:35played in the national championship and actually has
- 32:38run a successful program somewhat to a guy that's not a
- 32:42winning coach. And I don't know if he
- 32:44understands what it is to be a winning coach.
- 32:47He's a winning player. He's not a winning coach.
- 32:50And that's the difference. It's like going to Barry
- 32:52Sanders, OK and, and, and reaching out to Barry Sanders
- 32:55saying, could you come and coach my SEC team?
- 32:58Let's say, could you coach Florida?
- 33:00You never coached before, but it's OK, You're Barry Sanders,
- 33:03you're the greatest running back I've ever seen.
- 33:06And you would have great, one of the greatest running backs in
- 33:08college football history playing for Oklahoma State.
- 33:12And then he goes over there and he says, I I could do this.
- 33:16I was special, you know, and then realizes that they don't
- 33:20have your athletic ability. They don't have the abilities
- 33:25that you had as a player. And then you get washed up and
- 33:28saying, what did I do to myself? Why, why did I take this job?
- 33:32I'm in over my head. And I think Prime's reeling,
- 33:35realizing that now he thought this was going to be easy.
- 33:38He thought that with all with the portal and getting all these
- 33:42players to I'm coach Prime, I could get them to play for me.
- 33:46And now he's realizing it's not so easy.
- 33:48There were other guys and other big name coaches out there that
- 33:52can do better and give them more opportunities to succeed in
- 33:56different programs. And I think he's realizing it
- 33:58now. So yeah, I was.
- 33:59Going to mention too, like you remember all the Florida State
- 34:01to Deion Sanders to Florida State rumors a couple of years
- 34:04ago too after he had that season at that nine and four.
- 34:06Like what other like higher reputation conference is going
- 34:09to ever give him another job too?
- 34:11So he's going to have to rebirth himself at Jackson State or
- 34:13another, I think. He'd be done.
- 34:15I think he'd be done. Maybe it's definitely possible.
- 34:17And then the going back to what you were saying too, Jabba, like
- 34:20Colorado is not a program that has a great reputation already.
- 34:23Who's going to want to take that job with a new athletic director
- 34:26as well? Because this was a team that was
- 34:28a laughingstock in the PAC 12 when it came to football.
- 34:30They were a decent basketball school, but they really got
- 34:33nowhere. And Wes and I were joking in the
- 34:35betting chat when Brian Kelly got fired.
- 34:37Like, OK, maybe he gets a Big 12 job, which I think could be
- 34:39realistic for that kind of thing.
- 34:41But they're even lower in the totem pole for that.
- 34:43Two of the four Big 12 jobs that could be available.
- 34:45Brian Kelly would never take Colorado.
- 34:47No, he would never take. We're saying Wes and I were
- 34:49saying BYU. I think somebody else brought up
- 34:51Oklahoma State as another. Positive I use a good program.
- 34:53Yeah, if their. Coach, which is a very good like
- 34:56Group of five coach before they move to the Big 12 and now
- 34:58they're doing well in the Big 12.
- 35:01He deserves an upgrade for where he's coaching.
- 35:03That's only if that would become available.
- 35:04Then you got Oklahoma State, you got Texas, not Texas Tech, other
- 35:08the other Arizona schools that could be available.
- 35:10Like that kind of thing would be a better fit more than somebody
- 35:14like Colorado that's been poverty.
- 35:15You know, before we wrap this up, I just I'm with you, Errol.
- 35:19I think he's done. I think health issues isn't his
- 35:24future just going to be a podcast guy that we have to deal
- 35:27with all the time with crazy takes that he's because
- 35:30physically he's not going to be able to get around as much.
- 35:32Maybe he'll be on TVA little bit like he used to be.
- 35:35But I think it's probably in today's day and age, it's not
- 35:37TV. It's the podcast world, right?
- 35:39I mean, look, look at how everyone is making money over in
- 35:43that family right now being an influencer more so than being an
- 35:46athlete. So it just makes a lot of sense
- 35:49for me to, I don't know, like, say so long, you know?
- 35:55Say Lovey. That's it, I'd say.
- 35:58Wish him the best like the guy the guy needs.
- 36:01He needs to get healthy and I can it's and like it's like a
- 36:05real thing. He coached his son his whole
- 36:07life, his entire existence as a coach.
- 36:11He was coaching with his kids. This is his first year not
- 36:14coaching with his kids. It's not going to be the same
- 36:17and I think he's going to realize that it's it's really
- 36:21not the same. And I don't think he's going to
- 36:23want to do it for much longer. And I think that's going to be
- 36:25it. Cry me a river.
- 36:27I don't care. I, I that, that's to me, his two
- 36:30sons are just an absolute debacle.
- 36:33And, and they both don't know when to keep really keep their
- 36:36hands to themselves and keep their mouths to themselves.
- 36:39And, and, and as far as his adopted son, AKA Mr. Gremlin
- 36:43himself, that guy better stop going into commercials and doing
- 36:48all these endorsing crap that he's been on and, and
- 36:51embarrassing himself with those stupid Trevor Lawrence
- 36:54commercials. They're absolutely pathetic and
- 36:58actually play the game of football, actually learn the
- 37:01speed of the game because I will say this, Travis Hunter has a
- 37:06tremendous ability. There's no question.
- 37:09He's very athletic and he's gifted in a lot of ways.
- 37:12But I've seen a lot of players become absolute duds in the NFL
- 37:17because they thought they were bigger than their game was.
- 37:21And, and, and honestly, his game has been really subpar at best
- 37:27and not very good. So if you're a Travis Hunter
- 37:29fan, I think fans should be writing him letters in the
- 37:32offseason saying get back on the horse and start playing the
- 37:35game. And maybe tell your coach, move
- 37:38me to the corner position full time or move me to the wide
- 37:41receiving position all time and, and stop playing this back and
- 37:45forth banter thing that you could play both sides of the
- 37:48ball. You can't, you can't.
- 37:49It's too it's too aggressive. The sport is too aggressive.
- 37:52It's not the same playing college ball.
- 37:54Then you are going into the NFL and dealing with the speed of
- 37:56that game. Our deuce of the day.
- 37:59The deuce of the day. You log, not a log.
- 38:02I don't have a log but. No, all right.
- 38:12Our deuce of the day. Well, it's a deucer.
- 38:15I will say this. And I feel bad for a Michael
- 38:18Pennix junior. And this is a kid that was
- 38:22really flourishing in the NFL, turning into a superstar.
- 38:25And I, I got to say, one of the younger, more talented
- 38:30quarterbacks that really is starting to develop in Atlanta
- 38:33Falcons offense that I thought really, really wasn't going to
- 38:38really take off because you have Raheem Morris there and I don't
- 38:42think he understands how to run an offense.
- 38:45But Michael Pennix has really taken off and really shown that
- 38:48he could be a good player in this league with a little bit
- 38:51more time. And then he tears his ACL.
- 38:54And this isn't his first knee injury.
- 38:56This isn't his first injury. And, and unfortunately, it's
- 39:00going to be a problem. This is a guy that depends on
- 39:03his legs. This is a guy that has had these
- 39:07problems coming out of college and now tearing his ACL once
- 39:11again. Is this the second time he tore
- 39:12his ACL? He did it twice in college once,
- 39:14once in Indiana and once in Washington.
- 39:16So this is 1/3 time. I mean, it's scary tearing.
- 39:20If you do, if you tear one like, the likelihood of you either
- 39:23tear the same one or the other one is like 80%.
- 39:28I mean, it's scary and unfortunately, thank you, Jabba.
- 39:31I didn't, I didn't actually didn't even know that.
- 39:33But what scares me about this is they put a lot of eggs in this
- 39:38basket when they drafted him at #8 and now Atlanta is going to
- 39:42have to worry about next year. They don't have a quarterback.
- 39:44Do they bring Kirk Cousins back? Do they do that?
- 39:48Or do they draft another quarterback to play behind
- 39:51Michael Pennis? Because we don't know what
- 39:53Michael Pennix is going to come back and what kind of Michael
- 39:56Pennix is going to come back. So do they look towards drafting
- 40:00another quarterback in this coming class?
- 40:02I don't know. But I feel so bad for Michael
- 40:04Pennix because. To me, I thought he was starting
- 40:07to develop. I thought with Bijan Robertson
- 40:10and, and what this team has in the future with the the weapons
- 40:14that he has, that they had something brewing and now falls,
- 40:18he falls flat on his face. The team falls flat in their
- 40:20face. And now a team that could have
- 40:22made the playoffs this year might not even come close to
- 40:25making the playoffs this year. So my heart goes out to Michael
- 40:29Pennix and the Atlanta Falcons. And that, ladies and gentlemen,
- 40:32is my deuce of the day. That's it, ladies and gentlemen.
