- 0:00Speaker 1: This is seven R Boy. The Mark Simong Show starts. Now. Well,
- 0:10Speaker 1: President is in Davos as we speak. He's speaking in Davos.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Actually he's done with the speech, but doing a little
- 0:17Speaker 1: question to answer. We'll get to Davos. We'll get to
- 0:19Speaker 1: his speech. We'll get to Ice Holman, Obama, We'll get
- 0:24Speaker 1: to Minnesota. Who's going to get arrested there? Who's under investigation?
- 0:28Speaker 1: Now the Clintons have a legal problem. They are in
- 0:31Speaker 1: legal jeopardy at the moment. We'll find out later today.
- 0:35Speaker 1: We'll get to that. We'll get to mom Donnie. We'll
- 0:38Speaker 1: get to New Jersey. Noll, what's wrong with you people
- 0:41Speaker 1: in New Jersey? Do you look at the governors you elect.
- 0:44Speaker 1: It's a big state. You got all these people to
- 0:47Speaker 1: choose for me, you see the people you elect as governor.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Will get to that and more coming up. Well, now
- 0:55Speaker 1: President Trump is supposed to go to Davos. You know,
- 0:57Speaker 1: it's been a grueling week for him. Remember the football
- 1:04Speaker 1: When was the college football championship? That was Monday night? Right, Yeah,
- 1:08Speaker 1: So Monday night he flies to that in Miami. He
- 1:12Speaker 1: gets home late, doesn't get much sleep. Tuesday night he's
- 1:15Speaker 1: up tweeting all night, and then that was last night.
- 1:19Speaker 1: And then remember yesterday, Big day, and he did a
- 1:22Speaker 1: grueling ninety four minute press conference yesterday. And after all
- 1:28Speaker 1: of that he leaves for Davos. They get on air
- 1:30Speaker 1: Force one. They're heading to Davos, Switzerland. On the way there,
- 1:34Speaker 1: the electrical system has all kinds of problems. The lights
- 1:37Speaker 1: go out at one point, something's wrong with the electrical
- 1:40Speaker 1: system in the plane. This is air Force one. They
- 1:43Speaker 1: decide they have to turn around and go back to
- 1:45Speaker 1: Washington and switch planes. There's another air Force one. It's
- 1:49Speaker 1: actually two planes, and they go back. They have to
- 1:52Speaker 1: switch to the other plane. And I remember these air
- 1:57Speaker 1: Force one planes are like forty five years old. They're very,
- 2:01Speaker 1: very old planes. They need to be replaced. In his
- 2:04Speaker 1: first term, President Trump worked out a great contract with
- 2:08Speaker 1: Boeing at an incredible price to get new air Force ones.
- 2:12Speaker 1: But they're not ready yet. This is how many years later,
- 2:15Speaker 1: five six years later, still working on them. And remember
- 2:18Speaker 1: Cutter donated that incredible seven forty seven eight like jumbo,
- 2:24Speaker 1: even better than air Force one plane. But that's still
- 2:28Speaker 1: not finished. We took a possession of it and it's
- 2:30Speaker 1: at Boeing. It's got to be fitted with all the
- 2:33Speaker 1: Air Force one stuff and the security and all that.
- 2:36Speaker 1: It's still not finished. Takes years to do this stuff
- 2:38Speaker 1: in these planes. So then the president left. Now they
- 2:42Speaker 1: were able to speed up. You can actually do that,
- 2:45Speaker 1: you know, even a regular plane that you're flying on.
- 2:48Speaker 1: You know, we're cruising at five hundred miles and well
- 2:50Speaker 1: they can actually crank it up to eight hundred nine
- 2:52Speaker 1: hundred if they have to. Every flight would be half
- 2:55Speaker 1: the time. Now you say, why don't they do that,
- 2:57Speaker 1: because you'd burn a lot more fuel and it would
- 3:00Speaker 1: cost them twice as much to fly the plane. But
- 3:04Speaker 1: he got there, still got there a couple hours late,
- 3:07Speaker 1: but somehow the speech started on time. The big headline
- 3:10Speaker 1: of the speech he did say, as far as Greenland,
- 3:12Speaker 1: he would not use force. He will not use force
- 3:17Speaker 1: in any way. And I was just negotiating. And he
- 3:20Speaker 1: did point out, you know all this green Land stuff.
- 3:22Speaker 1: There are a lot of people that act like, what
- 3:24Speaker 1: a crazy idea? What is this with him in Greenland?
- 3:27Speaker 1: Where the hell did he come up with this? Well,
- 3:29Speaker 1: this is every president. This is not a new idea.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Every president since Abraham Lincoln has wanted to get Greenland,
- 3:36Speaker 1: and we have tried in the past six times to
- 3:39Speaker 1: buy Greenland. In the past, the most serious effort was
- 3:43Speaker 1: probably Harry Truman, who really really wanted it badly, but
- 3:48Speaker 1: didn't get it done. We actually captured Greenland in our
- 3:53Speaker 1: World War two victory, but we immediately gave it back.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Kind of a stupid thing there. But I think he
- 4:00Speaker 1: will be the first president. A lot of presidents have
- 4:02Speaker 1: tried to get Greenland. He'll be the first to get
- 4:04Speaker 1: it done. It's vital, really important for strategic reasons, military reasons,
- 4:09Speaker 1: and if we ever want to do that Golden Dome
- 4:11Speaker 1: to protect us from missiles, it's crucial to doing that.
- 4:16Speaker 1: It's a really big deal militarily. So he'll get it done.
- 4:19Speaker 1: He's got another three years. He'll get it done before
- 4:23Speaker 1: he's done. So he did kind of lecture the Europeans.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Now this Davos used to be, you know, all about
- 4:31Speaker 1: climate change and green and woke and left wing. That's
- 4:35Speaker 1: all gone now Davos doesn't do that anymore. That was
- 4:38Speaker 1: the founder, the guy that ran at Klaus Schwab. He
- 4:41Speaker 1: had to leave in scandal last year. So it's now
- 4:44Speaker 1: the new chairman is the head of black Rock a
- 4:48Speaker 1: hedge fund. So now it's strictly an economic forum. There's
- 4:51Speaker 1: no left wing stuff, there's no green stuff. But Trump
- 4:54Speaker 1: did throw a little of that in there, and you know,
- 4:56Speaker 1: kind of ridiculed the Europeans because over the last few
- 5:00Speaker 1: years they got involved in windmills and green energy and
- 5:04Speaker 1: it all failed miserably. They weren't able to get any power,
- 5:07Speaker 1: enough power out of it. Most of the time there
- 5:09Speaker 1: wasn't enough wind. And if you did get any power
- 5:13Speaker 1: from the green energy, it costs like five times as
- 5:15Speaker 1: much as the fossil fuels did. It was an absolute disaster.
- 5:19Speaker 1: And these countries that went windmills, like Germany and others,
- 5:22Speaker 1: had to rip them all out and go back to
- 5:24Speaker 1: the regular stuff. He did point that out to them.
- 5:27Speaker 1: They weren't too thrilled to hear it, but he did
- 5:28Speaker 1: point it out to them. Now, well, the other thing
- 5:33Speaker 1: I forgot to mention, keep an eye on this weekend.
- 5:35Speaker 1: There's a threat of a big snowstorm this weekend that
- 5:38Speaker 1: could begin Saturday night or Sunday morning and then go
- 5:42Speaker 1: through until Monday morning. Now it could be four inches,
- 5:45Speaker 1: some models suggest double digits. It'd be a major blizzard.
- 5:50Speaker 1: But we'll see way too early to be sure. Most
- 5:53Speaker 1: meteorologists now are leading towards the four inch model. But again,
- 5:57Speaker 1: what's today Wednesday forecast is really only good for about
- 6:01Speaker 1: three days. You know they always give you here's a
- 6:03Speaker 1: five day forecast. Well, secretly they all realized forecasts really
- 6:07Speaker 1: only hold up for three days. So still too early
- 6:10Speaker 1: to tell, but just bear that in mind for this weekend.
- 6:12Speaker 1: And if even if there isn't a lot of snow,
- 6:14Speaker 1: it's going to be unbelievably cold at night, it'll go
- 6:18Speaker 1: down to like seven degrees. So just remember that for
- 6:21Speaker 1: this weekend. Hey, in Minnesota, expect now there's investigations going on.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Tim Waltz, the governor, Mayor Fry that Sleesball, dirty Attorney
- 6:34Speaker 1: General Ellison. They've all been hit with subpoenas to turn
- 6:38Speaker 1: over evidence, communications, all sorts of stuff. They're being looked out,
- 6:42Speaker 1: looked at for conspiracy to harass and obstruct ice the
- 6:48Speaker 1: people that went into the church and stopped the service
- 6:52Speaker 1: in church and disrupted it. Expect them to get indicted.
- 6:56Speaker 1: That could happen very soon. It's a clear violation of law.
- 7:00Speaker 1: The losses. You cannot enter a house of worship of
- 7:02Speaker 1: any kind and intimidate or interrupt a service. You can't do.
- 7:06Speaker 1: It's illegal, it's a crime. So expect them to get arrested.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Expect Don Lemon most likely to be included in those arrests.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Now here's the amazing thing that nobody seems to well.
- 7:19Speaker 1: I mean you'll see it here and there, but not
- 7:21Speaker 1: enough people focus on it. The idea that you would
- 7:25Speaker 1: send ICE into American cities and that they would grab
- 7:30Speaker 1: people off the streets and arrest people. You know, pull
- 7:34Speaker 1: up in cars and grab people and throw them in
- 7:37Speaker 1: the car and take them away and then deport them.
- 7:39Speaker 1: The idea of this comes from Barack Obama. It was
- 7:44Speaker 1: his operation. He did this in his administration. He had
- 7:49Speaker 1: ICE go into American cities, grab people off the streets, illegals,
- 7:53Speaker 1: and we're especially looking for illegals who had committed crimes.
- 7:57Speaker 1: They would grab them, sweep them up, support them, throw
- 8:01Speaker 1: them the hell out. Now who did Obama put in
- 8:04Speaker 1: charge of this operation? Who did he have run this operation? Well,
- 8:08Speaker 1: it was Tom Homan. And if you look at my
- 8:11Speaker 1: Twitter you can see some pictures that are pretty good.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Homan did such a great job. They were able to
- 8:16Speaker 1: arrest about two million illegals and deport them. This is
- 8:19Speaker 1: Obama and Homan did such a good job running this operation.
- 8:24Speaker 1: It's on my Twitter. You can see the picture of
- 8:26Speaker 1: Barack Obama awarding Homan with this special medal, putting the
- 8:31Speaker 1: medal around his neck, this Distinguished Service Presidential award. And
- 8:38Speaker 1: Obama was very proud of this operation. We go on
- 8:40Speaker 1: TV all the time and talk about how they were
- 8:42Speaker 1: swiping up illegals off the street. Ice was out there.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Obama loved to brag about it. If you're a criminal,
- 8:47Speaker 1: you'll be deported. If you plan to enter the US illegally,
- 8:51Speaker 1: your chances of getting caught and sent back just went up.
- 8:57Speaker 1: The actions I'm taking are not only lawful, are the
- 9:00Speaker 1: kinds of actions taken by every single Republican president and
- 9:03Speaker 1: every single Democratic president for the past half century. And
- 9:07Speaker 1: what a Democrats do doing all this nothing. They liked it.
- 9:12Speaker 1: They like it was Obama great, they loved it. I
- 9:16Speaker 1: gotta be honest. You're Democrats. You are the nuttiest party
- 9:20Speaker 1: I have ever seen. There's something that's just fine with you.
- 9:23Speaker 1: You love it. It's great. Then as soon as Trump
- 9:25Speaker 1: does it, you're out in the streets. Screaming and yelling like,
- 9:27Speaker 1: what the hell give Republicans credit for one thing. You
- 9:32Speaker 1: can go back five years, ten years, fifteen years. They
- 9:34Speaker 1: pretty much stand for the same principles Democrats. You go
- 9:37Speaker 1: back five years there for something totally different. You go
- 9:40Speaker 1: back twenty years, they're completely the opposite. Totally. They just
- 9:43Speaker 1: keep flip flopping. And now all this video of Obama
- 9:48Speaker 1: praising Ice and bragging about how they're in the streets
- 9:51Speaker 1: in our cities, arresting illegals, rounding them up. All that
- 9:54Speaker 1: video of him doing that, A lot of people think
- 9:56Speaker 1: somebody should put that together and run that as a
- 9:59Speaker 1: commercial during the super Bowl, and then ended with the
- 10:04Speaker 1: video of him putting the metal around Tom Holman's neck.
- 10:07Speaker 1: It would be a great idea. We got a lot
- 10:09Speaker 1: of very wealthy donor types listening. If one of you
- 10:13Speaker 1: would do that, it's a good idea. Run that during
- 10:17Speaker 1: the super Bowl. I'm sure the President has heard of
- 10:20Speaker 1: this idea. Maybe he can get somebody to do it.
- 10:23Speaker 1: The Clinton's got a big problem. He had a big,
- 10:25Speaker 1: huge problem. They've been called to testify before the committee
- 10:29Speaker 1: on Jeffrey Epstein. Now nobody was closer to Epstein than
- 10:33Speaker 1: the Clintons. Nobody was more tangled up with Epstein than
- 10:38Speaker 1: the Clintons, And I don't think I had anything to
- 10:40Speaker 1: do with any young girls, but they were very heavily
- 10:44Speaker 1: involved with Epstein financially, business wise, all sorts of stuff.
- 10:48Speaker 1: It was Epstein that helped start the Clinton Global Initiative.
- 10:52Speaker 1: You could have called it the Clinton Epstein Global Initiative.
- 10:56Speaker 1: And I'm sure Bill there were a lot of women there. Now,
- 10:59Speaker 1: one thing about Epstein, if you were around back then
- 11:01Speaker 1: at those parties and all that stuff, it wasn't just
- 11:04Speaker 1: young girls. He had a lot of young girls there
- 11:05Speaker 1: because that's what he liked. And I'm sure some of
- 11:08Speaker 1: his friends might have liked that. But for the most part,
- 11:10Speaker 1: it was whatever you wanted. Bill Clinton loved forty year
- 11:13Speaker 1: old floozies. Epstein had a lot of them. Bill Gates
- 11:17Speaker 1: like those mousey librarian types. Epstein had a lot of
- 11:20Speaker 1: them around. So it was whatever you like. But Congress
- 11:23Speaker 1: has subpoenaed the Clintons to testify in front of the
- 11:26Speaker 1: committee closed door hearing, but the Clintons refused. They defied
- 11:33Speaker 1: the subpoena, which is highly illegal. You're not allowed to
- 11:36Speaker 1: just defy congressional subpoenas. Now, Steve Bannon did that, he
- 11:42Speaker 1: was sent to prison. Peter Navarro did that, he was
- 11:45Speaker 1: sent to prison. This is the Merrick Garland Joe Biden's standard.
- 11:49Speaker 1: So the Clintons could be convicted of defying Congress. Now,
- 11:54Speaker 1: I don't know what will happen, but they're taking the
- 11:56Speaker 1: vote today on whether to refer this for criminal charges.
- 12:01Speaker 1: The Clintons still refuse to testify. They've sent word through
- 12:04Speaker 1: their attorneys that they could offer a written statement. They
- 12:08Speaker 1: might be willing to do a video that they would
- 12:11Speaker 1: send in. This is not good enough. You can't defy
- 12:13Speaker 1: the congressional subpoena. But again it's Democrats. You pay pill
- 12:19Speaker 1: change your whole philosophy principles every two seconds. Now, back
- 12:24Speaker 1: a couple of years ago, you had to go to
- 12:25Speaker 1: prison immediately if you defied a congressional subpoena, just like
- 12:29Speaker 1: Bannon did. But of course, if you go back to
- 12:32Speaker 1: the Obama era when Eric Holder defied the subpoena, no,
- 12:36Speaker 1: it's okay. Again it's Democrats. They flip blop all over
- 12:39Speaker 1: the place. But it looks different this time. When they
- 12:42Speaker 1: take the vote today, Republicans will vote to have criminal
- 12:46Speaker 1: charges against the Clintons. It looks like a lot of
- 12:49Speaker 1: Democrats might vote for that too. Now you said, well,
- 12:53Speaker 1: why would they have a fellow Democrat. Why would they Well,
- 12:56Speaker 1: because they don't really take Bill Clinton seriously anymore. They
- 12:59Speaker 1: don't think of him as a big fellow Democrat. They
- 13:01Speaker 1: think of him as an old dinosaur relic from the past.
- 13:05Speaker 1: These are today's Democrats. They're not Bill Clinton fans. He's
- 13:08Speaker 1: a totally different animal than today's Democrats. So Clinton's very
- 13:12Speaker 1: worried about this vote today. Keep an eye on it.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Anything could happen. Mom Donnie was on the View yesterday,
- 13:21Speaker 1: but it was perfect for him. You got these you know,
- 13:24Speaker 1: four clucking hands and Mom Donnie sitting there, and these
- 13:28Speaker 1: are not the brightest women on the View. That's not
- 13:31Speaker 1: exactly the high IQ show. And you know, Mom Donnie
- 13:35Speaker 1: can talk very fast, and he's a very articular guy.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Or you took a mile in a minute, and these
- 13:39Speaker 1: view people they can't really keep up with him. But
- 13:41Speaker 1: they were asking him all the standard you know, Minnesota.
- 13:44Speaker 2: People ask me why did I say the word murder?
- 13:46Speaker 2: I asked him to look at that video and tell
- 13:47Speaker 2: me what they would call it, and we are being
- 13:50Speaker 2: asked to not believe our own eyes. It's time to
- 13:52Speaker 2: be truthful with people. It is terrifying to see what's
- 13:55Speaker 2: happening there, and it's terrifying to see all of this
- 13:58Speaker 2: happening in the name of public safety. And I've said
- 14:00Speaker 2: this directly to the President that these ice rates, they
- 14:03Speaker 2: are cruel, they're inhumane, They do nothing to deliver that
- 14:06Speaker 2: public safety. In fact, what they do is leave a
- 14:08Speaker 2: sense of fear amongst so many.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Well, first of all, there is no court anywhere in
- 14:14Speaker 1: the world that would call this murder. This cop, no
- 14:17Speaker 1: matter where you send him to trial, could not be
- 14:19Speaker 1: convicted of murder. By law. It's not murder in any way.
- 14:23Speaker 1: If he drives your car into an ice agent, if
- 14:27Speaker 1: you even drive at him, he is legally allowed to fire.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Now you could find and I have there's some police
- 14:32Speaker 1: officials who've actually said, you know, he didn't have to fire.
- 14:36Speaker 1: He's legally entitled to, but he really could have let
- 14:42Speaker 1: that go. You know, they just let it go, and
- 14:43Speaker 1: they'll catch him up and catch her two blocks away.
- 14:46Speaker 1: There's some cops that will argue that put top ranking cops.
- 14:49Speaker 1: But no matter what he was legally, okay, firing a
- 14:54Speaker 1: gun at that moment, no way, that's murder. And then
- 14:57Speaker 1: you get this, like Mamdani said to he said to them,
- 15:00Speaker 1: it just makes people less safe. And this is the view.
- 15:04Speaker 1: They're all nodding like babo hash But if you think
- 15:08Speaker 1: about it, they've taken two thousand actual criminals out of Minneapolis,
- 15:13Speaker 1: and at the press conference yesterday, the president started holding
- 15:17Speaker 1: up pictures of each one and their rap sheet. You know,
- 15:20Speaker 1: this one raped the kids, this one's a murderer, this
- 15:22Speaker 1: one's a robed. You go through this list of what
- 15:25Speaker 1: they took off the streets, there's no way you can
- 15:28Speaker 1: argue that's less safe. That's the whole idea that when
- 15:33Speaker 1: you take two thousand criminals off the streets of a city,
- 15:36Speaker 1: it's gonna be safer. And you know what's funny, the
- 15:38Speaker 1: Democrats now have this policy when you arrest the criminal,
- 15:42Speaker 1: you arrest him, you take him in, and he gets
- 15:44Speaker 1: out like a half hour later. There's no bail, there's
- 15:46Speaker 1: no jail. Thanks to Andrew Cuomo and all these Democrats,
- 15:50Speaker 1: you just let them go, you let them out. So
- 15:52Speaker 1: apparently in Minnesota, a lot of these illegal aliens, they
- 15:55Speaker 1: don't really understand different types of police. To them, ice
- 15:59Speaker 1: are just other policeman. So when they're taken in and
- 16:03Speaker 1: held and not let go, apparently a lot of them
- 16:05Speaker 1: are screaming at everybody in the court, what the hell's
- 16:07Speaker 1: going on here? I'm supposed to be out in an hour.
- 16:09Speaker 1: They've they've been arrested a million times, but they've never
- 16:12Speaker 1: actually been held and not released. So apparently some of
- 16:15Speaker 1: them are going crazy because they've never seen anything like
- 16:18Speaker 1: this where you're actually held, you're not released immediately, and
- 16:20Speaker 1: they don't know what's going on. Hey, we'll take some calls.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Next eight hundred three two one zero seven ten is
- 16:27Speaker 1: the number. Eight hundred three two one zero seven.
- 16:31Speaker 2: Ten the Mark Simon sell on seventen.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Wor Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to Mike
- 16:41Speaker 1: in Florida. Mike, how you doing?
- 16:44Speaker 3: Good morning?
- 16:44Speaker 4: Mark?
- 16:45Speaker 1: Hey down there in Florida? Is is it cold now?
- 16:47Speaker 5: I keep hearing, well, it was the last couple of days.
- 16:52Speaker 5: Right now it's seventy three, But the last couple of
- 16:54Speaker 5: days was cold, and I've fallen into that ex New
- 16:58Speaker 5: Yorker thing where goosmos.
- 17:00Speaker 1: I'm chilli now, Yeah, when you guys say cold, what
- 17:03Speaker 1: are you talking about? Sixty?
- 17:06Speaker 5: It was forty yesterday morning when I woke up forty
- 17:10Speaker 5: five ish, and uh it, you know, warms up pretty well,
- 17:14Speaker 5: but once I get that.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Chill, Yeah, that's terrible, sir. You're right, yeah, anyway, you know, uh,
- 17:22Speaker 1: what do you want to what do you want to?
- 17:25Speaker 5: No, you were mentioning about how the Democrats, you know, constantly,
- 17:28Speaker 5: you know, change their positions, and it's absolutely right, you know,
- 17:30Speaker 5: because they're interested in winning whatever victory it is, whether
- 17:35Speaker 5: it's a little one or a big one, they'll take it.
- 17:36Speaker 5: The Republicans can't be bothered, you know. And to illustrate
- 17:41Speaker 5: that for the last two days now, you said, you know,
- 17:43Speaker 5: Trump had a ninety minute press conference yesterday, you spoke
- 17:45Speaker 5: for an hour at Davos, he said, taking questions, he
- 17:48Speaker 5: talks about, yes, presses on Air Force one, and Republican
- 17:53Speaker 5: pundits and comments will say he doesn't get the message out.
- 17:56Speaker 5: He just doesn't get the message out.
- 17:58Speaker 4: I'm going, I don't understand.
- 17:59Speaker 5: What aren't they hearing that I'm hearing twenty four hours
- 18:02Speaker 5: a day virtually.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Oh, you know, for most Americans, they're not following this
- 18:07Speaker 1: all day and night. They were just watching the evening
- 18:09Speaker 1: news or whatever, and the message is never put there.
- 18:12Speaker 1: But you're right, but they they got to figure out
- 18:15Speaker 1: a way around that. That's why I like the idea
- 18:16Speaker 1: of the super Bowl commercial with Obama talking about how
- 18:19Speaker 1: we have to send ice into the cities and round
- 18:21Speaker 1: people up. And I've appointed Tom Holman to run this.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Let's go to Ron in Pittsburgh. Ron, how you.
- 18:27Speaker 4: Doing a I, sir?
- 18:29Speaker 1: I good.
- 18:31Speaker 3: Hey, I did call you yesterday, and I forgot to
- 18:34Speaker 3: give you the name of my band for the president.
- 18:37Speaker 1: He's a very nice guy, but he's got one of
- 18:40Speaker 1: these garage bands he's trying to promote.
- 18:42Speaker 3: No, I don't we're good with veterans. The names Honky
- 18:46Speaker 3: Talk Heroes were on Facebook.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Wait, what's the name the Honkey Talk Heroes? The Honky
- 18:52Speaker 1: TNK Heroes. Yes, sir, god, I'd like to know the
- 18:56Speaker 1: names you rejected. That's the one you choose. What came
- 19:01Speaker 1: in second place for a name?
- 19:04Speaker 3: Love comes in spurts?
- 19:05Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 19:06Speaker 1: Hey, sorry, you play better than your name?
- 19:11Speaker 3: Hey?
- 19:11Speaker 4: Can I we do? Hey?
- 19:12Speaker 3: Could I ask you a nice question?
- 19:14Speaker 4: Hey?
- 19:14Speaker 3: Don't you believe they're all these democrats are all just sellouts.
- 19:18Speaker 3: I think I think I just sold our country out
- 19:21Speaker 3: for the cash. Hey, but one other questions. One of
- 19:24Speaker 3: the questions, okay, can you ask his Trump's upper President
- 19:28Speaker 3: Trump's upper flat around? Is the world flat?
- 19:33Speaker 1: You know that day drinking is not a good thing.
- 19:37Speaker 3: I'm about drinking?
- 19:39Speaker 1: Is that happy hour there at ten in the morning
- 19:41Speaker 1: in Pittsburgh? Anyway? Thanks for calling. Let's go to uh
- 19:44Speaker 1: Andrew and Queen's Andrew. How you doing, Andrew? Yes, yeah,
- 19:52Speaker 1: we didn't wake you.
- 19:54Speaker 6: That there was a black hole there.
- 19:56Speaker 1: All right, let's go Andrew call.
- 20:01Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, I wanted to ask you. I recall I
- 20:06Speaker 6: thought decades ago during protests they used water cannons. Is
- 20:13Speaker 6: their problem using water cannons nowadays?
- 20:17Speaker 1: Yeah? You mean on those left wing wacos in Minnesota.
- 20:21Speaker 6: Yeah, or wherever, you know, the pro Haomas demonstrations and well.
- 20:28Speaker 1: You know, they used to use those water cannons on protesters. Now,
- 20:31Speaker 1: those were good protesters back then. This is in the South,
- 20:34Speaker 1: in the early sixties to Kennedy days. They were racist,
- 20:38Speaker 1: protesting against black students and all that. So uh, but
- 20:43Speaker 1: it's still it looked, it looked kind of it didn't
- 20:46Speaker 1: look good on TV looked kind of cruel though. It
- 20:47Speaker 1: was like a big fire hose water cannons on it.
- 20:50Speaker 1: It was effective. But now they used that pepper spray
- 20:52Speaker 1: and mace. You've seen that on a lot of videos
- 20:55Speaker 1: of protesters screaming and yelling and getting really really really
- 21:00Speaker 1: bad with ice ation and the ice ation. Finally, after
- 21:03Speaker 1: trying to put up with a free minutes, just take
- 21:05Speaker 1: out this mace thing and just spray them in the face.
- 21:08Speaker 1: One more call. Let's go to Mike and Hawthorne. Mike,
- 21:10Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 21:11Speaker 6: Yeah, Mark, I just want to know when the New
- 21:13Speaker 6: York City employee's going to strike.
- 21:15Speaker 4: Is Donnie gonna be walking the picket line with him?
- 21:18Speaker 1: Well, I don't know. We'll get to that in the
- 21:19Speaker 1: next hour. This nursing strike, Mom, Donnie is out there
- 21:22Speaker 1: on the picket line. He's out there with the nurses.
- 21:24Speaker 1: You're not supposed to do that. If you're the mayor
- 21:27Speaker 1: the reason this strike is dragging on. Usually it's the mayor, governor,
- 21:33Speaker 1: you know, somebody like that will get everybody in the
- 21:35Speaker 1: room and be the moderator and work out a settlement.
- 21:39Speaker 1: The problem is Mom, Donnie immediately being a novice, not
- 21:43Speaker 1: knowing how to do a management job, went right out
- 21:45Speaker 1: and started picketing with the nurses, which kind of makes
- 21:49Speaker 1: him unfit to be the honest broker in the middle.
- 21:53Speaker 1: He's supposed to remain in the middle and try to negotiate,
- 21:56Speaker 1: not supposed to take a side that early. So and
- 21:59Speaker 1: then he brought in and Bernie Sanders of old people. Well,
- 22:02Speaker 1: we'll get to that in the next hour. We've got
- 22:03Speaker 1: a lot to get to. Hey, we'll talk to the
- 22:05Speaker 1: Dean himself, the best political analyst, Ed Rollins, about all
- 22:10Speaker 1: of this stuff and what's going to happen in the
- 22:12Speaker 1: midterms and more coming up on seven to ten wr
- 22:17Speaker 1: Mark Mark Simone on seven to ten wor Well, let's
- 22:23Speaker 1: talk to the Dean himself. Ed Rollins has been in
- 22:26Speaker 1: a lot of White Houses. He's run a lot of campaigns,
- 22:28Speaker 1: some of the most successful in the world. Ed Rollins,
- 22:32Speaker 1: how you doing.
- 22:33Speaker 4: Good morning, Mark, How are you very good?
- 22:35Speaker 1: Hey? The idea of ice getting criminals off the street
- 22:39Speaker 1: good thing. Buying greenland be a good thing. But does
- 22:44Speaker 1: the White House have a messaging problem that they're not
- 22:47Speaker 1: explaining things correctly or enough to be Yeah.
- 22:49Speaker 4: They are. You know. The reality is, as we've talked before.
- 22:53Speaker 4: This is so much coming every day. But let me
- 22:56Speaker 4: just say this, the speech you just made, this was
- 22:58Speaker 4: Trump's thought process. Uh, he laid out his thinking. He
- 23:02Speaker 4: laid out you know, it's not always coherent. But the
- 23:07Speaker 4: critical message was there's no going to be invasion of Greenland,
- 23:10Speaker 4: which a lot of people were worried about Brightley or wrongly. Secondly,
- 23:14Speaker 4: Greenland is still very important to Trump, and he says
- 23:19Speaker 4: this has been picked up and much the analysis hit.
- 23:22Speaker 4: But this is where it wants to put the Golden Dome.
- 23:24Speaker 4: The Golden Dome is is a structure over Israel that
- 23:28Speaker 4: basically knocks down the drones and what have you. Reagan
- 23:33Speaker 4: had talked about with the Star Wars program forty years ago.
- 23:37Speaker 4: It's an expensive, not totally developed, not certainly funded yet.
- 23:42Speaker 4: But I think there's no question that's that's his intent
- 23:45Speaker 4: is to put a golden Dome there, which obviously, if
- 23:48Speaker 4: you view the world in a different way, and certainly
- 23:50Speaker 4: the way he thinks, uh, the invasions and call him
- 23:54Speaker 4: they called him clim that way. The critical the critical
- 23:58Speaker 4: thing here, I think is that this the speech that
- 24:00Speaker 4: will be studied just long after Trump is.
- 24:02Speaker 1: Out of office.
- 24:03Speaker 4: Really Today's because this really is his thought process. This
- 24:08Speaker 4: is what he thinks of his allies, is what he
- 24:11Speaker 4: thinks of This is his style. And I think just
- 24:14Speaker 4: you know, you couldn't you couldn't sit down and say,
- 24:17Speaker 4: all right, this is all all the subjects. But it's
- 24:20Speaker 4: it's a thought process. This is it's been repeated over
- 24:23Speaker 4: and over again, but this was a different form. This
- 24:26Speaker 4: was a form of where you had people in business, leaders,
- 24:32Speaker 4: what have you. And he's very open in his thought process.
- 24:35Speaker 4: He's certainly wasn't willing to pat himself on the back,
- 24:39Speaker 4: justifiably for some of the things that he's done, and
- 24:42Speaker 4: pushed credit away from some of the things that Europeans
- 24:46Speaker 4: think they've done. And I wouldn't say it was a
- 24:49Speaker 4: friendly speech. It was sort of like, here's here's my
- 24:51Speaker 4: thought process. I'm the most significant leader in the world,
- 24:54Speaker 4: the biggest military in the world, and that's what my
- 24:56Speaker 4: thought process is. And you need to study it, you
- 24:59Speaker 4: need he analyze it. So I think I think there'll
- 25:01Speaker 4: be a lot of there'll be a lot of commentary,
- 25:04Speaker 4: it'll be negative towards it, but I think this is
- 25:06Speaker 4: the reality. This is what he thinks, is what he's
- 25:07Speaker 4: gonna try and do the next three years.
- 25:09Speaker 6: Uh.
- 25:09Speaker 4: And he's claiming a lot of the things that he's done,
- 25:12Speaker 4: uh justifiably and I think to a certain extent it'll
- 25:16Speaker 4: be analyzed and over analyzed.
- 25:18Speaker 1: Now to get the other world leaders.
- 25:20Speaker 4: Uh.
- 25:20Speaker 1: And Trump is so blunt and he just says what
- 25:23Speaker 1: he thinks all that, even if they don't like it,
- 25:26Speaker 1: do they kind of appreciate that for once they got
- 25:27Speaker 1: a guy who straight talks with them and they know
- 25:30Speaker 1: what he's thinking.
- 25:31Speaker 4: No, No, haven't every work work for a few presidents
- 25:36Speaker 4: and a lot of political leaders. Uh, there's there's gigantic eagles.
- 25:40Speaker 4: You know, humble men and women don't basically move forward
- 25:43Speaker 4: the polical process. Uh. But by being humble, Uh, you know,
- 25:47Speaker 4: you've got to got to believe in yourself, you've got
- 25:49Speaker 4: to believe in the people around you, and you've got
- 25:51Speaker 4: to march forward.
- 25:52Speaker 1: Uh.
- 25:52Speaker 4: And Trump certainly has never been uh and uh calm
- 25:56Speaker 4: and understated. Uh, he's somewhat basically said this, who we're
- 26:00Speaker 4: doing this will have done.
- 26:01Speaker 1: Uh.
- 26:02Speaker 4: And he's gonna march forward now if they can put
- 26:04Speaker 4: that in a coherent speech in which he given repeatedly
- 26:06Speaker 4: and he has his cabinet given it completely. Uh, he
- 26:09Speaker 4: can have a real strategic plan for the next year,
- 26:12Speaker 4: which the next year is the critical year for him.
- 26:14Speaker 1: Uh.
- 26:15Speaker 4: You know, ten in ten months, we're gonna have a
- 26:16Speaker 4: mid term election. If he loses the Congress, Uh, then
- 26:19Speaker 4: the last two years are gonna be irrelevant. Uh says
- 26:22Speaker 4: they're still gonna be president. But the day the day
- 26:25Speaker 4: after the November elections, and certainly if the Democrats taken back,
- 26:28Speaker 4: we begin to begin to replacement process. Uh. And that's
- 26:32Speaker 4: never a good place to be no matter who who
- 26:34Speaker 4: you're president.
- 26:34Speaker 1: Uh.
- 26:35Speaker 4: You know, he lose a lot of your power, not
- 26:37Speaker 4: just to the Congress, which use a lot of your power,
- 26:39Speaker 4: to the fact that someone else is coming forward. And
- 26:41Speaker 4: my sense is that his health health holds up Trump's
- 26:45Speaker 4: Trump's gonna play play a very big role in who's
- 26:47Speaker 4: his successor. Uh. No guarantees it's gonna be avanced, No
- 26:50Speaker 4: guarantee it's gonna be revealed, No guarantees it's gonna be anybody. Uh.
- 26:54Speaker 4: As a legacy may be picking one of his kids
- 26:55Speaker 4: and try and go take the political process that he
- 26:57Speaker 4: controls today by looking political proser this is one of
- 27:00Speaker 4: those kids in there certainly bushed into that. Now, this
- 27:03Speaker 4: is done in the past. So my sense is this
- 27:05Speaker 4: is a speech of the overanalyzed. It's it's it's way
- 27:08Speaker 4: beyond Marlago or the White House. This is the world
- 27:12Speaker 4: looking at this speech today, and everyone's going to have
- 27:14Speaker 4: an analysis and every every every other leader in the world,
- 27:18Speaker 4: except for a few hours, we have for him always
- 27:21Speaker 4: we've got to criticize it. This is what he meant,
- 27:24Speaker 4: that's what he didn't mean. This is what the interpretations are.
- 27:27Speaker 4: So I think it's going to be. It'll be it'll
- 27:30Speaker 4: be a major major document. Whether it was a major
- 27:32Speaker 4: major speech or not. He clearly was his thought process.
- 27:35Speaker 4: This is what I think I've done. This is why
- 27:37Speaker 4: I think I've done it. This is you know, very
- 27:40Speaker 4: very upbeat. Uh. This economy is critical and is going
- 27:45Speaker 4: as I planned, and equally is important. The country is
- 27:48Speaker 4: the most important country in the world. And if you
- 27:51Speaker 4: don't like that, that's too bad. As we are.
- 27:53Speaker 1: So yeah, Now, the President also said that he may
- 27:56Speaker 1: go to Iowa later this week. Is this important for
- 27:59Speaker 1: a president than like Trump to get him out of
- 28:01Speaker 1: the White House, let him go out there and then speak,
- 28:04Speaker 1: do speeches and do that as it important.
- 28:05Speaker 4: Well, I always a state that he's very comfortable with.
- 28:09Speaker 4: There's a lot of stake in Iowa this year. I mean,
- 28:11Speaker 4: he's become a very Republican state. But we have an
- 28:14Speaker 4: open Sunate seat there. We've got a couple of congressional
- 28:17Speaker 4: seats that so on his run, you know, I would
- 28:21Speaker 4: not if I was the political diverrectory again in the
- 28:22Speaker 4: White House, I would not run him around the country
- 28:24Speaker 4: like they talk about doing. I would have ten or twelve,
- 28:28Speaker 4: you know, one or two a month, big events in
- 28:31Speaker 4: which he really gets news. If he goes out and
- 28:33Speaker 4: campaigns for fifty or one hundred congressional candidates, that's not
- 28:36Speaker 4: going to do anything. It's distracts it first, he wears
- 28:39Speaker 4: him down. He needs to focus on the American economy.
- 28:43Speaker 4: People have to say, I don't care about Greenland. I
- 28:45Speaker 4: don't care about this, I don't care. What I care
- 28:47Speaker 4: about is my paycheck, my health care, my kids, my schools,
- 28:51Speaker 4: my neighborhoods, and those are things he needs to focus
- 28:53Speaker 4: on and he can do that. He can be very
- 28:55Speaker 4: charming when he wants to do that.
- 28:56Speaker 1: Now, I know traditionally the party loses the cons in
- 29:00Speaker 1: the midterms. But let's say all the big beautiful bill passes,
- 29:06Speaker 1: stuff starts happening, paychecks increase, prices start coming down, the
- 29:09Speaker 1: economy looks great in four or five months. Doesn't that
- 29:12Speaker 1: mean the Republic's got a good chance of holding Congress?
- 29:17Speaker 4: It certainly, certainly gives every unication it would the end,
- 29:21Speaker 4: there's a lot to make that happen. Again, Wherever it's
- 29:25Speaker 4: going to happen is going to happen because he say,
- 29:29Speaker 4: put in place. The communication message is what's very important.
- 29:34Speaker 4: And again, if he's running around the world doing things
- 29:37Speaker 4: everywhere else and not here, the Penttry doesn't care at
- 29:41Speaker 4: this point time about what happens in Ukraine, does not
- 29:45Speaker 4: care what happens in Venezuela, does not care what happens
- 29:48Speaker 4: in Cuba. They care about what's happening in Iowa, Nebraska, Texas.
- 29:54Speaker 4: You know, we're going to fix the energy prices, We're
- 29:57Speaker 4: going to fix the food prices. But take care of
- 29:59Speaker 4: our farmers, but take care of healthcare. Those are the things.
- 30:02Speaker 4: He's got a powerful voice. If he wants to use
- 30:04Speaker 4: it for those things. If he use it for those things,
- 30:06Speaker 4: he gives Republicans watch for the chance.
- 30:08Speaker 1: To reel like Hey, Well for Democrats, all these crazy
- 30:12Speaker 1: women with the nose rings yelling and screaming at the
- 30:14Speaker 1: law enforce. In the end, does that really help Democrats?
- 30:18Speaker 4: No, you know, it may energize them a little bit,
- 30:22Speaker 4: but there's nothing Democrats can come up with this point
- 30:24Speaker 4: in time. It's going to be this new magic policy.
- 30:29Speaker 4: You know, it's going to make everyone so oh, I
- 30:31Speaker 4: want that. What people want is either want Trump? Do
- 30:35Speaker 4: you want more Trump? Or you want less Trump? And
- 30:38Speaker 4: my sense the Democrats are smarter to go out and
- 30:40Speaker 4: just make it. If you want to stop Trump, where
- 30:42Speaker 4: the vehicles to stop Trump. If you don't want to
- 30:44Speaker 4: stop Trump, go ahead and go vote for him again.
- 30:46Speaker 4: It's ready to turn out. Historically to turnout is not high,
- 30:49Speaker 4: and mid terms like it isn't presidential. It's not the attention,
- 30:53Speaker 4: it's scattered. It's just, you know, it's hard to get
- 30:55Speaker 4: the attention that a president can get when he's out there.
- 30:59Speaker 4: Can't to the two races we lost this year to
- 31:02Speaker 4: Jersey and Virginia, there was a real load turnout among
- 31:05Speaker 4: the Republicans, a very high turnout among Democrats. That's the key.
- 31:09Speaker 4: That's why historically people usually why people vote presidents just
- 31:13Speaker 4: party out is because they're mad at the president for
- 31:16Speaker 4: some reason, or the same kind of energy is duvoted
- 31:19Speaker 4: to the campaign. This is duoted in the presidential campaign.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Well, Ed Rowlands, great stuff. We always love talking to you.
- 31:25Speaker 1: Ed Rowinds the Dean himself, and we'll talk again soon.
- 31:29Speaker 1: Thanks for being with us.
- 31:30Speaker 4: Good take care, good day, Take care.
- 31:33Speaker 1: Hey, Buck and Clay are coming up at noon today.
- 31:36Speaker 1: Buck's got a new book coming out, very good book.
- 31:38Speaker 1: I think you can already pre order it. But we'll
- 31:40Speaker 1: talk to Buck and I mean Buck and Clay will
- 31:43Speaker 1: be here after the news at noon, and then I'll
- 31:47Speaker 1: most listen to radio show in America show on Handity
- 31:50Speaker 1: three o'clock. He got Jesse Kelly at six and a brilliant,
- 31:53Speaker 1: funny new show every night at nine. People love it.
- 31:56Speaker 1: It's nine to midnight here every night on seven tenor
- 32:00Speaker 1: Jimmy Faylor. Listen tonight give WR a bree said on
- 32:04Speaker 1: the iHeartRadio app.
- 32:06Speaker 2: To hear Mark Simone and all the WR hosts in
- 32:09Speaker 2: an instance.
- 32:11Speaker 1: Now back to the Mark Simon Show on wor Now,
- 32:17Speaker 1: Hey this weekend, it gets very cold now tomorrow is
- 32:21Speaker 1: gonna be forty five degrees Friday near forty. Okay, that's good,
- 32:26Speaker 1: that's all good. Then Saturday Sunday of the weekend, it
- 32:29Speaker 1: gets really cold. The high will only be like twenty
- 32:33Speaker 1: degrees over the weekend. At night it'll drop down to
- 32:36Speaker 1: like twelve degrees and real feel like seven degrees. It's
- 32:40Speaker 1: gonna be very, very very cold Saturday and Sunday. And
- 32:44Speaker 1: here's the problem, very late Saturday night. Snow could start.
- 32:49Speaker 1: Now again, it's too soon to really be accurate in
- 32:51Speaker 1: these predictions, but there's the possibility of a big snowstorm
- 32:55Speaker 1: Sunday into Monday. It could be four inches. There's a
- 32:59Speaker 1: couple of you know, they have different models, and there's
- 33:02Speaker 1: one of the two of those models that show double
- 33:06Speaker 1: digit snowfall ten inches, and we okay, but forget that.
- 33:09Speaker 1: That's not the most likely. The most likely is four inches,
- 33:12Speaker 1: five inches, six inches, something like that. But and again,
- 33:15Speaker 1: it all depends on the track of the storm. If
- 33:17Speaker 1: it turns this way, we get less snow. If it
- 33:20Speaker 1: turns this way, we get more snow. And we're too
- 33:23Speaker 1: many days out to know which way it'll turn. But
- 33:26Speaker 1: just bear that in mind. It could be a big
- 33:28Speaker 1: snowstorm Sunday Monday, possible, possible, depending a storm could turn
- 33:33Speaker 1: that way a little, and then we're it's not going
- 33:35Speaker 1: to be so bad, but we'll keep you posted here. Well,
- 33:38Speaker 1: we got another hour to go and a lot to
- 33:40Speaker 1: talk about. In the next hour, we'll get to your
- 33:42Speaker 1: crazy New Jersey governor and a whole lot more just ahead.
- 33:46Speaker 1: Mark Simone here every day, ten to noon, or listen anytime.
- 33:50Speaker 1: Get the podcast back after the news on seven to ten.
- 33:53Speaker 1: WR
