- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to a lily Pad production.
- 0:04Speaker 2: This is the Team Up Play Show podcast. Previously in
- 0:26Speaker 2: the City of.
- 0:27Speaker 3: Bones, bursting through the south wall, you see a beast
- 0:32Speaker 3: who has the body of a rhino. What and where
- 0:37Speaker 3: the rhino's head should be? There is instead the torso
- 0:41Speaker 3: of a man, followed by a man's head flapping down
- 0:45Speaker 3: and landing on his back. Is a scrawny man in
- 0:49Speaker 3: a gymnasts leotard. Out of his back sprout gray wings
- 0:53Speaker 3: that flutter in his descent. You scan over his body
- 0:57Speaker 3: with your paper sens just because it's habit for you.
- 1:00Speaker 3: It's something you do. Pressed in ink in his skin.
- 1:04Speaker 3: There's an M eleven on his right calf, M eleven,
- 1:09Speaker 3: M eleven.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Does this bring any bells for me? Or that's all
- 1:12Speaker 2: A long? Does this ring any bells?
- 1:14Speaker 3: You start thinking back the wealth of knowledge that you
- 1:17Speaker 3: go to our books. You think of another M in
- 1:20Speaker 3: literature who created strange animals. Doctor Moreau gave them numbers,
- 1:26Speaker 3: a doctor Moreau. When you crest and come over, the
- 1:32Speaker 3: highest skyscraper in the city, which is probably the highest
- 1:36Speaker 3: thing is maybe the space barge. Maybe there's one or
- 1:39Speaker 3: two buildings that are higher. Your flight star disappears. You
- 1:43Speaker 3: see something odd down an alleyway, eyes glinting out of
- 1:48Speaker 3: the darkness.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Rachael's gonna fly over Jamir.
- 1:52Speaker 3: As you get there first and the other two of
- 1:54Speaker 3: you follow, a child steps out of the dark, long
- 1:57Speaker 3: straggly hair, a strain tight green outfit that is one piece,
- 2:04Speaker 3: vines wrapped around them as belts and sashes, living flowers
- 2:11Speaker 3: sprouting out of these vines. Child says, Prophecies awaken, and
- 2:17Speaker 3: here I find Knight's thrice doing good work of the range.
- 2:22Speaker 3: You must meet, Priest, and I think you must save King.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Please come. The child starts crawling on the ground down
- 2:32Speaker 3: into a man hole cover itand.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Asks you to follow.
- 2:47Speaker 3: The comfort of your familiar tube. Time is now interrupted
- 2:53Speaker 3: with the realization that there was something down here that
- 2:57Speaker 3: you never saw and you never felt. You follow this
- 3:02Speaker 3: strange child to the sewers until you find an access
- 3:07Speaker 3: port to the pneumatic tube access tunnels below. The child hums.
- 3:13Speaker 3: It reverberates off the walls and matches the tonality of
- 3:17Speaker 3: the city above. How are the three of you feeling
- 3:21Speaker 3: in this moment? And what kind of conversation do you
- 3:25Speaker 3: try to poke this child with?
- 3:28Speaker 2: Nice place. I like the vibe down here. Thank you.
- 3:34Speaker 4: So are you a child or are you some kind
- 3:38Speaker 4: of magical creature person?
- 3:42Speaker 2: Respectfully?
- 3:45Speaker 3: The child stops their own humming. I would say that
- 3:50Speaker 3: I am both. Okay, okay, more magic.
- 3:53Speaker 2: Good for you? And you live down here? Yes? Congratulations?
- 4:00Speaker 1: Where are your parents?
- 4:04Speaker 3: My parents? I have not thought of them for some time?
- 4:10Speaker 3: My parents now are priest and king?
- 4:13Speaker 1: Oh? Do they live down here too?
- 4:16Speaker 2: Yes? Thank you? What I do not know? I don't know.
- 4:22Speaker 2: I haven't thought about my parents a long time.
- 4:25Speaker 4: Okay, So is there like a whole magical kingdom down here?
- 4:28Speaker 2: Soon you will see? Okay.
- 4:31Speaker 4: I looked at my effatriots, and I'm like, now are
- 4:34Speaker 4: getting somewhere.
- 4:36Speaker 1: I expand my sense and scan out through the tubes
- 4:44Speaker 1: and then below. I've only ever been focused above on
- 4:50Speaker 1: the city. So now I'm like, what did I miss?
- 4:54Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 4:55Speaker 1: At least a family living down here?
- 4:58Speaker 3: Roll a sense check. This is a difficult No, this
- 5:01Speaker 3: is a challenging check. I'm only a D ten, right, six,
- 5:05Speaker 3: I wrouled seven. You are a little bit distracted by
- 5:11Speaker 3: the strange in this child that you've met as you
- 5:15Speaker 3: follow them through the tubes.
- 5:18Speaker 5: So we're now out of the sewer. We're back into
- 5:21Speaker 5: the pneumatic tubes.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Yes, which are underneath the sewer.
- 5:25Speaker 3: If you want to take like a geographical snapshot, you
- 5:29Speaker 3: guys are headed north. For those of you that feel
- 5:32Speaker 3: like you could track that, I think Jamiir is a
- 5:35Speaker 3: pretty good sense of direction for the city. So yeah,
- 5:37Speaker 3: i'd be trying to imagine where we are.
- 5:40Speaker 1: You said the kid had gluing eyes. Are they day?
- 5:43Speaker 2: They're not?
- 5:44Speaker 1: Huh m, So you haven't thought about them in a while,
- 5:51Speaker 1: but you're taking us to them.
- 5:54Speaker 3: I haven't thought of my human parents, my parents when
- 5:57Speaker 3: I was a surface dweller for some time.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Oh hey, kid, you've got powers. This question is strange
- 6:07Speaker 2: to me. What do you mean, y You just seem
- 6:10Speaker 2: like no offense respectfully, not a normal child. Mm hm.
- 6:16Speaker 2: I am not a normal child by your estimation though, right,
- 6:21Speaker 2: But like you got plants all over you? Do you
- 6:24Speaker 2: like control plants or doctor plants or you like a plant?
- 6:29Speaker 3: If power ever is mine, it is gift from priest.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Yeah, mine's gift from sky mommy so same.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Yeah, my dad lives in my chest.
- 6:43Speaker 3: We protect the lonely children of this city, and when necessary,
- 6:48Speaker 3: we take them.
- 6:49Speaker 5: In all right, Well, I'm hopeful about this. I think
- 6:52Speaker 5: we're being led to a cool place.
- 6:56Speaker 4: Are you do you know anything about the mayor and
- 7:00Speaker 4: the politics up above? And are you against him and
- 7:04Speaker 4: his counsel of evil?
- 7:07Speaker 3: I know not what you mean by mayor. Okay, okay,
- 7:12Speaker 3: I'm sorry. Hey, that's okay. Yeah, you don't need a
- 7:15Speaker 3: political affiliation. I'm more just making sure that you're not
- 7:20Speaker 3: aligned with our enemies. So I didn't assume it just
- 7:24Speaker 3: based on your general vibe. It feels like you're kind
- 7:27Speaker 3: of above what's what's going on upstairs?
- 7:33Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 7:34Speaker 3: Our enemies are the abuse and the neglect of the young,
- 7:40Speaker 3: the young people.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, yeah, we're against that too.
- 7:44Speaker 2: Yeah that sounds bad. Okay, do you mind if I
- 7:51Speaker 2: smoked down here? What is he is? A child? Said
- 7:58Speaker 2: he was? And he wasn't a child? You asked about
- 8:00Speaker 2: his political alignments? What do you mean? Smoke? Oh? Here?
- 8:05Speaker 3: No?
- 8:09Speaker 2: Ow, never mind, I could wait. You move further and
- 8:14Speaker 2: further north, Jamir.
- 8:18Speaker 3: Yeah, there comes a moment uh oh where you're one
- 8:24Speaker 3: hundred and fifty percent more buffness or whatever it is. Yep,
- 8:29Speaker 3: you feel your body revert back to how Jamir was
- 8:36Speaker 3: before his interaction with the gene.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Whoa, hey, what why is your habits looking real loose?
- 8:44Speaker 1: Did you stretch it out?
- 8:46Speaker 4: Oh? Jamir tries to create a flight star.
- 8:49Speaker 2: In front of him. Nothing happens. Hey on, let me
- 8:52Speaker 2: see something. I push. I pushed Jimir. The fantas say,
- 8:56Speaker 2: what the fuck? Dude?
- 8:57Speaker 3: The phantom in this moment is stronger than Jimmy. Whoa, Jamiir,
- 9:02Speaker 3: your steps feel heavy? The VENI am on you hard
- 9:07Speaker 3: to move?
- 9:08Speaker 2: Okay?
- 9:09Speaker 4: We what I would Jamir know if we had crossed
- 9:14Speaker 4: the city limits in terms of northward travel.
- 9:18Speaker 3: I think without a role, Jamir would guest streets certainly. Yeah,
- 9:22Speaker 3: I think you would guess at that certainly.
- 9:26Speaker 4: Well, guys, uh, I'm out of range, so that I point,
- 9:33Speaker 4: you know, behind us, that's New Babel, That's where I
- 9:38Speaker 4: have powers.
- 9:39Speaker 2: We're now in America.
- 9:41Speaker 1: What wait?
- 9:42Speaker 2: Wait?
- 9:43Speaker 1: Step back like five feet?
- 9:44Speaker 4: Okay, sorry, child, could you pause for a second. Yeah,
- 9:48Speaker 4: Jamir takes a few steps back until I feel the change.
- 9:52Speaker 4: Jamir like gets a little buffer. I think he also
- 9:55Speaker 4: just tilts his chin back a little bit, throws his
- 9:58Speaker 4: shoulders back a little bit, feels more confident. Once I
- 10:05Speaker 4: step back enough, I feel my body puff up with
- 10:10Speaker 4: magic strength. I make a flight star, I stand on it,
- 10:15Speaker 4: and I say, just as a demonstration, and I kind
- 10:19Speaker 4: of hover a Segway stile forward on it, and yeah,
- 10:25Speaker 4: I assume it just kind of disappears as it hits
- 10:29Speaker 4: that invisible barrier.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Yes, and then I land and I look at my friends.
- 10:39Speaker 4: I don't know if I should go should Yeah.
- 10:44Speaker 2: It's fine. I just have a lot of follow up
- 10:47Speaker 2: questions about this.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, first off, are you okay?
- 10:52Speaker 4: I mean I'm okay, but like, I'm not gonna be
- 10:55Speaker 4: able to take bullets or throw punches if it comes
- 10:59Speaker 4: to that. Here there are no bullets or punches forward.
- 11:04Speaker 4: Thank you, child. I felt better coming with you when
- 11:08Speaker 4: I had my abilities. If we get in a scrap,
- 11:12Speaker 4: I'm I'm a liability, not an asset anymore.
- 11:18Speaker 5: Why my question is if the city redistricts does it work? Like,
- 11:26Speaker 5: how does it know where the city limits are?
- 11:29Speaker 1: Oh? My gosh, you are Why is it just the city?
- 11:34Speaker 4: If I had to take a guess pp it, you
- 11:38Speaker 4: know it's the city limits as defined when the wish
- 11:42Speaker 4: was made.
- 11:42Speaker 2: But maybe I'm wrong.
- 11:43Speaker 4: Maybe the magic is changeable based on the definition of
- 11:49Speaker 4: the city and Quanta. I think that's why the genie
- 11:53Speaker 4: went back into the pot when I made my wishes.
- 11:56Speaker 4: I think the gin, maybe knowing me, maybe be half knowingly,
- 12:01Speaker 4: took me at my words in a way that limited
- 12:06Speaker 4: my gifts to New Babbel, which is okay, that's my world,
- 12:11Speaker 4: which is why I'm a little scared.
- 12:12Speaker 2: To leave it.
- 12:14Speaker 1: I mean, I feel the same, and electrocity sparkles through
- 12:19Speaker 1: my fingers. But that's my world too. I never wanted
- 12:23Speaker 1: to go to America, but here we are.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Here we are. Oh we're in America.
- 12:29Speaker 4: Now we're in the US. I think, mm hmm wow.
- 12:33Speaker 4: I make a little flag. Do you get that gun?
- 12:38Speaker 1: No?
- 12:39Speaker 5: I romantically gave it away to Pace. This would be
- 12:42Speaker 5: a great opportunity, you know what. I I wish I
- 12:45Speaker 5: was wearing that everwing brae could give it.
- 12:47Speaker 2: To you, Damn glad you're not.
- 12:50Speaker 3: You could make him a paper sword, sure here you go,
- 12:53Speaker 3: or a paper hammer, Oh, sure here you.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Go, or a paper knife.
- 12:58Speaker 2: The child child does not say these things.
- 13:01Speaker 5: I don't think a paper gun. I mean, I can
- 13:03Speaker 5: make you a paper gun. I don't think it's gonna work.
- 13:05Speaker 5: Make him a paper gun?
- 13:06Speaker 2: All right?
- 13:07Speaker 1: Chad got many a minute. I could fire it.
- 13:10Speaker 4: I mean, the venom will protect me at least, but
- 13:14Speaker 4: team vote, team vote.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Should I stay here?
- 13:18Speaker 4: Hopefully our communicators work and if all hell breaks loose,
- 13:24Speaker 4: I can wait for you here, or do we soldier
- 13:28Speaker 4: on knowing?
- 13:29Speaker 2: I'm oh, I'm not. I'm not Rachel anymore. Oh.
- 13:33Speaker 5: I didn't realize Ragel was a big baby, omamp, big baby.
- 13:39Speaker 2: Come on.
- 13:45Speaker 6: I step back and I'm like, come over here.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Oh.
- 13:51Speaker 4: I try to fire a magic blast across the barrier.
- 13:55Speaker 2: It dies as it hits the invisible barrier. Yeah, I'm
- 13:59Speaker 2: like wagging my butt at it.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Oh man, guys, guys, the child said, Knights thrice, you're
- 14:07Speaker 1: coming with us.
- 14:12Speaker 3: As Quanti rows the two of you, the child says.
- 14:15Speaker 2: I fear not. We are close. Roger walks forward.
- 14:19Speaker 3: The inventors of New Babbel dreamed that their pneumatic.
- 14:23Speaker 2: Tubes would reach the world outside.
- 14:26Speaker 3: As you walk, you come to the grave of that
- 14:31Speaker 3: dead dream. It is an immense underground space well below
- 14:37Speaker 3: the surface. Glass pipes burst out of the earthen walls
- 14:44Speaker 3: from all of the major pneumatic branches in the city.
- 14:48Speaker 3: They were meant to access this cavern and then be
- 14:53Speaker 3: sorted into tubes that would shoot out to the world.
- 14:58Speaker 1: Hell's mailroom.
- 15:00Speaker 2: This rules. That is so.
- 15:02Speaker 3: Cool, But the tubes that come from the city are
- 15:07Speaker 3: now all broken off, and the access ports that were
- 15:13Speaker 3: meant to go out into the world are now all
- 15:16Speaker 3: filled with dirt and broken. That is what this space
- 15:22Speaker 3: was meant to be used for. But here's what you
- 15:26Speaker 3: see that it is actually being used for. All of
- 15:30Speaker 3: the glass tubes are filled with fertile earth and unique
- 15:35Speaker 3: biomes that you don't even recognize. Vines that shouldn't be
- 15:40Speaker 3: seen on the front, range, flowers that grace the halls
- 15:44Speaker 3: of the Amazon rainforest. Flora and fauna that just shouldn't
- 15:49Speaker 3: be here fills these now useless glass tubes.
- 15:55Speaker 2: And that's just the tubes.
- 15:57Speaker 1: That's just the tubes.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Ain't that the tubes, just the twube, just the tube
- 16:03Speaker 2: of us. We can get fat, that just the tube
- 16:06Speaker 2: of us.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Johnny's gonna fire us.
- 16:08Speaker 4: Will Smith's gonna be an idea.
- 16:12Speaker 2: That's just the tubes.
- 16:16Speaker 3: The walls have been decorated with cascading moss, vine and flower,
- 16:23Speaker 3: and over one hundred huts have been built by mud.
- 16:28Speaker 2: Tree and moss. There is daylight.
- 16:32Speaker 3: Pouring in from somewhere, and it shines as a spotlight
- 16:37Speaker 3: on an empty wooden throne on a mound in the northernmost.
- 16:43Speaker 2: Part of this cavern. And there are children.
- 16:46Speaker 3: Over one hundred just seeing now about, playing, laughing, running.
- 16:51Speaker 2: Hey everybody. They come up to you, circle you, dance
- 16:56Speaker 2: around you.
- 16:58Speaker 3: Oh, there are those playing small instruments, makeshift out of
- 17:03Speaker 3: tune of each other, but somehow still beautiful in their discordance.
- 17:08Speaker 3: The children move you in a clump towards the throne.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I don't have to push rigel very hard.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Damn I do a tiny.
- 17:20Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 17:21Speaker 1: I told you to put your butt away.
- 17:22Speaker 2: Rude, It's okay. I just wanted it to come too.
- 17:33Speaker 3: Weeping next to the throne. When I say weeping, it's
- 17:37Speaker 3: not a full body movement. Their shoulders aren't shaking, their
- 17:43Speaker 3: head is not bowed. But there is a plump child
- 17:47Speaker 3: with red blonde hair. And she mourns silently. The tears
- 17:53Speaker 3: that roll off of her cheeks glitter, and as they
- 17:57Speaker 3: hit the ground sprout small flowers where they land.
- 18:03Speaker 2: Here, here's a tissue child. She takes it.
- 18:07Speaker 5: Hello, Hi, lovely, lovely civilization you have down here. It's
- 18:13Speaker 5: great seems like you're making all these plants.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Is that you?
- 18:20Speaker 3: Yes, she smiles, though her tears continue. These are my plants,
- 18:26Speaker 3: and these are my children.
- 18:28Speaker 4: Mmmmm, like I'm not literally right. What do you mean,
- 18:34Speaker 4: like you know, like you're a child. Yes, ah, so
- 18:39Speaker 4: that's pretty much what I mean. Like they're your children
- 18:43Speaker 4: in the sense that like we're we are family. Also,
- 18:46Speaker 4: I point to Rigel and Quanta, but not like we're
- 18:50Speaker 4: not related.
- 18:52Speaker 2: She nods. Cool. Are you in charge?
- 18:56Speaker 3: She smiles again. You may say that I am, they
- 19:00Speaker 3: may think that I am, But there is only freedom here.
- 19:04Speaker 3: And she then gestures to the children.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Be gone.
- 19:08Speaker 3: I must speak with these, and they all rustle off
- 19:12Speaker 3: back to their games and their instruments and their huts.
- 19:16Speaker 1: Are there. It's all children.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Yep, you do see some day children here.
- 19:22Speaker 1: I do a scan to try to discern if any
- 19:27Speaker 1: of them are maturing.
- 19:30Speaker 3: Hmm interesting. Roll a knowledge check plus your scan. This
- 19:36Speaker 3: is a challenging This is an average check. Imrolling a
- 19:40Speaker 3: D eight. It's possible five. I rolled one. You sense
- 19:46Speaker 3: many different levels of maturity. The one before you is
- 19:51Speaker 3: older in their mind than you are. I'm sure that
- 19:58Speaker 3: you have many questions.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Yes, why for starters if you don't mind? Why did
- 20:05Speaker 1: that child? I look around trying to find them, and
- 20:07Speaker 1: they're gone. Bring us here, We've been looking for you.
- 20:13Speaker 1: What there were words spoken long ago that this dark
- 20:18Speaker 1: time would be upon us?
- 20:20Speaker 2: Prophecy? I'm not sure. I've got a question. Can we
- 20:26Speaker 2: smoke down here?
- 20:27Speaker 3: No?
- 20:29Speaker 2: Please? Please do not. That's why I ask.
- 20:33Speaker 1: Plants and all?
- 20:34Speaker 2: Oh sure, oh yeah, oh sorry, plants and all, yes,
- 20:39Speaker 2: plants and all.
- 20:40Speaker 5: Can I tell just from looking around at some of
- 20:42Speaker 5: the structures and this space, like, how long this little
- 20:47Speaker 5: civilization has been here? Do they got written records on paper?
- 20:51Speaker 5: What's the situation with them? I think here's what I'll
- 20:55Speaker 5: say that's interesting about that. It feels like without rolling.
- 20:58Speaker 3: I think all of you note that everything looks incredibly
- 21:02Speaker 3: fresh and new, except for the machinery that is now
- 21:08Speaker 3: covered with but there is no there is very little decay.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Wow, this place is amazing. Why were you? What words
- 21:24Speaker 1: were spoken about us?
- 21:28Speaker 2: Would you hear them now?
- 21:30Speaker 1: If it? If you? Like I was about to say,
- 21:33Speaker 1: like if it pleases you, I don't know, I got
- 21:35Speaker 1: I felt so formal all of a sudden.
- 21:37Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it's tough.
- 21:40Speaker 1: White.
- 21:40Speaker 2: You can't smoke.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Didn't you recently start?
- 21:46Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I'm very addicted.
- 21:48Speaker 1: I just went all in so fast.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Put that EE medicine in my mouth.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Oh I freak, can't.
- 21:53Speaker 2: I'm addicted to drugs.
- 21:55Speaker 3: These words were spoken to me the day that the
- 21:58Speaker 3: range is old form passed and her new one was
- 22:02Speaker 3: gifted unto.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Me, you're the range, she nods.
- 22:09Speaker 2: WHOA.
- 22:10Speaker 4: Wait, okay, so do you have the ranges like memories
- 22:18Speaker 4: or is it more just like a mantle, a title
- 22:21Speaker 4: that's passed out?
- 22:22Speaker 3: What you call the front range is home to two
- 22:28Speaker 3: great spirits, spirits of growth and decay. Both of them
- 22:34Speaker 3: filled the body of the one called the Range long ago.
- 22:41Speaker 3: On the day that she perished, I was young, my
- 22:46Speaker 3: parents holding my hands, rushing me towards safety, but they
- 22:52Speaker 3: were crushed, and then the range slew their great enemy.
- 23:01Speaker 3: But then the Range fell wounded, bleeding. She almost fell
- 23:10Speaker 3: right atop of me. WHOA, the ichor within her body
- 23:17Speaker 3: struck my tongue. She then gestures to her body, puts
- 23:29Speaker 3: her little arms out and her pudgy hands as if
- 23:33Speaker 3: to say, and this is what happened.
- 23:36Speaker 4: So you haven't aged in well like eighty years or
- 23:41Speaker 4: something something like.
- 23:43Speaker 2: That, and we know the range kind of friend of
- 23:46Speaker 2: a friend of a memory.
- 23:49Speaker 3: Yeah, but no, her memories are not mine. For the
- 23:54Speaker 3: spirit was passed to me, the spirit of decay was not.
- 24:00Speaker 3: The spirit of decay was passed to our king. She
- 24:05Speaker 3: gestures to the throne.
- 24:08Speaker 2: So the rains had both.
- 24:10Speaker 3: Yes, she was gifted both that she may be equipped
- 24:18Speaker 3: for her battle against machine and metal.
- 24:21Speaker 2: I get it.
- 24:23Speaker 4: Anti industrialist, Yes, that's in the lore. But you, guys,
- 24:30Speaker 4: I look around, are not Have you guys been fighting
- 24:35Speaker 4: the man the encroachment of machines on our world from
- 24:40Speaker 4: down here or something?
- 24:43Speaker 3: She shakes her head. The spirits of the front range
- 24:47Speaker 3: have not made that our task.
- 24:51Speaker 2: But you do have a task as of now.
- 24:56Speaker 3: It is to protect the children of this city that
- 25:01Speaker 3: need us. Huh nice cool.
- 25:07Speaker 1: Well, and then they become like you. Okay, stay, she nods.
- 25:15Speaker 3: That is not my power alone, King, our king. Decay
- 25:22Speaker 3: is not simply decay incarnate, but also the master of it.
- 25:29Speaker 5: Hell, I look around. This King's not here. We don't
- 25:33Speaker 5: see them right, just their throne.
- 25:34Speaker 3: That's why I said that. You do see a little
- 25:37Speaker 3: bit of decay in the vine and in the flower.
- 25:41Speaker 3: They droop a little bit the children. It hasn't been
- 25:45Speaker 3: long enough for them to start growing. But with the
- 25:48Speaker 3: king gone, she says, she continues, things are not in balance.
- 25:55Speaker 1: So they're missing. Yes, that's you sent for us to
- 26:02Speaker 1: find your king.
- 26:03Speaker 3: The words now that the range spoke to me before
- 26:07Speaker 3: she perished of her wounds. King decay will one day change,
- 26:15Speaker 3: and need will he salvation. A beast of two will
- 26:21Speaker 3: have three heads? Is return be our elation? Seek not
- 26:26Speaker 3: far for savior. Nights three strong will be their number.
- 26:34Speaker 3: The star, the tree, the lightning strike fold tightly round
- 26:42Speaker 3: the umber anyone?
- 26:44Speaker 2: I mean that prophecy could be about anyone. No, it's
- 26:49Speaker 2: definitely yes.
- 26:51Speaker 1: But smart guy over there any any definitions of umber,
- 26:56Speaker 1: you know, just just in case Rachel doesn't know it
- 27:00Speaker 1: means rude?
- 27:02Speaker 5: Sure, I mean it's me, I don't know, yeah, like
- 27:04Speaker 5: the shadow. It sometimes it means like the shadow of
- 27:06Speaker 5: the moon. It's lots of things. Is there anything that
- 27:10Speaker 5: Jason would Oh, yeah, you're right. What's the uh yeah,
- 27:14Speaker 5: smart guy?
- 27:16Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 27:16Speaker 1: What's umber? Then?
- 27:17Speaker 2: Is umber a word? It's like shadow? I think though
- 27:21Speaker 2: that sounds right like Umbrian pokemons under my umbrella, beneath
- 27:27Speaker 2: under Yeah, maybe something.
- 27:33Speaker 3: I thought it was just darkness and shadow. Hey, let's
- 27:36Speaker 3: just go with it in that question.
- 27:37Speaker 2: But I think I was thinking of umbra. Okay, let's
- 27:41Speaker 2: just go with it. Not question.
- 27:42Speaker 5: Well, so then, is there any any of those words
- 27:45Speaker 5: in that prophecy?
- 27:46Speaker 2: Does that?
- 27:46Speaker 5: Is there any literary reference? Is there any any clues
- 27:50Speaker 5: to be deciphered from having worked at the library for
- 27:54Speaker 5: years that help?
- 27:56Speaker 1: Love it?
- 27:57Speaker 2: Roll on? Knowledge? Check? You got average? Check? I'm willing
- 28:01Speaker 2: a D eighth.
- 28:02Speaker 5: Any chance paper sense can help me here? Yeah, of
- 28:05Speaker 5: course that's a nine. I wrote four. All you would think,
- 28:11Speaker 5: I imagine, is that you've never read this before Anywhere.
- 28:15Speaker 5: There's talk of nights, there's talk of three, the star
- 28:20Speaker 5: of the tree, the lightning, referencing you all umburbing darkness
- 28:24Speaker 5: and a darkish earth and color, but nothing from literature
- 28:30Speaker 5: that would give you hints or clues.
- 28:33Speaker 3: So this.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Prophecy is older than we are. Yeah.
- 28:40Speaker 4: Yeah, And it knew about us something, some spirit force
- 28:48Speaker 4: knew about each of us with our weird routes to powers,
- 28:54Speaker 4: and it had a job for us. Is this why
- 28:58Speaker 4: we are here?
- 29:01Speaker 2: Like?
- 29:01Speaker 4: Are we just here for this baby's prophecy?
- 29:05Speaker 2: This old baby's prophecy?
- 29:08Speaker 1: I mean even if so, the path toward it has
- 29:13Speaker 1: given us lots of cool shit and our own things
- 29:19Speaker 1: we want to accomplish. Might as well pay the.
- 29:22Speaker 5: Piper, and if we complete our destiny then we're free.
- 29:26Speaker 5: You could do whatever the fuck we want. Why am
- 29:30Speaker 5: i tree? Tree? He said, tree right? The priest trucks paper.
- 29:39Speaker 2: Was invented eighty years ago. I don't know well before.
- 29:43Speaker 2: It just feels close, like it's close. It not wrong,
- 29:47Speaker 2: it's fine, tree phantom.
- 29:51Speaker 4: So who so you were the first? And then where
- 29:57Speaker 4: where did these other kids come from?
- 29:59Speaker 2: Chill neglected or abused in the surface a new babel.
- 30:06Speaker 4: Yes, so you get kids that need help and you
- 30:10Speaker 4: bring them here.
- 30:11Speaker 2: Yes, and they're allowed to leave of course? Okay?
- 30:15Speaker 3: Good.
- 30:16Speaker 4: Kind of a classic Lost Boice situation. Do you guys
- 30:20Speaker 4: have books down here? You speak like you've read not
- 30:25Speaker 4: recent books. We have books.
- 30:28Speaker 5: You guys just read what comes out of the tubes.
- 30:30Speaker 2: I bet I.
- 30:31Speaker 1: Didn't catch anything in there about where your king could be.
- 30:35Speaker 2: Do you know we do?
- 30:38Speaker 3: There is a wicked place, a place that twists nature
- 30:44Speaker 3: beyond resemblance, a place we cannot go for even this
- 30:49Speaker 3: far away from it. It ails me and weakens my
- 30:53Speaker 3: power the house of Doctor Moreau.
- 31:00Speaker 5: Oh boy, all right, I knew this was coming Phyllison Phantom.
- 31:05Speaker 2: Oh sure.
- 31:06Speaker 5: So a while back, I sence the tattoo on the masterpiece.
- 31:12Speaker 2: It's just a number and the letter M.
- 31:14Speaker 1: But the guy at the car dealership mm hmmm.
- 31:18Speaker 2: Yeah, Clank Clank Industries. We thought that guy.
- 31:22Speaker 5: I wasn't sure, but I think this confirms that whoever's
- 31:25Speaker 5: making these weird animal freaks goes by doctor Moreau.
- 31:29Speaker 2: It's an old book. Oh oh yeah, they're probably cool
- 31:37Speaker 2: like me because they read books. Cool they are not?
- 31:41Speaker 5: Yeah, but I mean no, not couldn't The mimig and
- 31:45Speaker 5: the animal freaks and being a problem for you is bad,
- 31:47Speaker 5: But it's nothing. There's nothing wrong with being a book bookworm.
- 31:53Speaker 3: No, the king and his cat were taken, Oh like
- 31:58Speaker 3: a literal cat.
- 31:59Speaker 2: Yes, Oh, when the king arrived he had a cat.
- 32:05Speaker 5: Oh dude, I'll bet you forty phantom bucks that that
- 32:08Speaker 5: guy is fused with.
- 32:09Speaker 2: A cat now, oh no, forty phantom bucks going once
- 32:15Speaker 2: he has want to take those odds.
- 32:16Speaker 3: The words from the range, A beast of two will
- 32:20Speaker 3: have three heads.
- 32:24Speaker 2: Ye, that's a solid guess.
- 32:26Speaker 1: Yeah, I think your king might be in quite some trouble.
- 32:33Speaker 3: How this is why we need knights. Three okay? How
- 32:38Speaker 3: how how long after you did the king come along?
- 32:42Speaker 2: Moments? And so he's very old.
- 32:46Speaker 4: Boy vibes as well as your vibesh. What does he
- 32:51Speaker 4: look like? You give us a visual description of this
- 32:55Speaker 4: child man?
- 32:57Speaker 3: He is a bit taller than I, shaggy brown hair,
- 33:02Speaker 3: scratch on his eye, it's a over his eye.
- 33:07Speaker 2: Sure, sure, that is all? Okay?
- 33:10Speaker 4: And does he have so based on the spirit he received?
- 33:15Speaker 4: Does he have any kind of like a desiccation powers
- 33:21Speaker 4: or you know, withering rays? Or does he turn people
- 33:29Speaker 4: old by clutching them and stuff mushroom stuff?
- 33:33Speaker 2: Is he doing mushroom stuff? Oh? Interesting?
- 33:36Speaker 3: The extent of his powers and mine are not fully known.
- 33:43Speaker 3: We are saviors of the lost. We are not warriors.
- 33:48Speaker 3: What's the coolest thing you've seen him do?
- 33:50Speaker 2: Though?
- 33:52Speaker 3: There was a time, okay, a young boy in his
- 33:57Speaker 3: father's grasp being choked. King Decay grew angry, touched his head,
- 34:08Speaker 3: and the man withered, decayed as though in grave. We
- 34:15Speaker 3: try not to move to such measures, and usually they
- 34:19Speaker 3: can be avoided, but not always.
- 34:23Speaker 5: Heard you mentioned doctor Moreau's layer. Yes, you don't happen
- 34:31Speaker 5: to have like the idea of where that is. Lucy
- 34:35Speaker 5: will take you.
- 34:37Speaker 3: She gestures too, the kid that brought you here, and
- 34:42Speaker 3: Lucy waves, hey Lucy.
- 34:45Speaker 1: Hi guys, hello, no time like the president.
- 34:49Speaker 5: Yeah, we're good unless we need any other information or anything.
- 34:52Speaker 4: Is it by a chance back toward the city, right, yes, right,
- 34:57Speaker 4: just checking.
- 34:59Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 35:01Speaker 4: This has been incredible. Are we allowed to come back?
- 35:05Speaker 4: We can send you stuff through the tubes.
- 35:07Speaker 1: I think the tubes are pretty blocked off. Look around
- 35:11Speaker 1: at all the plants growing.
- 35:13Speaker 2: I can clear tube. Please do not clear our bio.
- 35:16Speaker 2: I'm gonna clear tube. Oh please do not.
- 35:19Speaker 3: Why As you start to pusher, some of the vines
- 35:24Speaker 3: underneath her start to quiver and shake and grow around her.
- 35:30Speaker 3: M we have spent time building that and I don't
- 35:35Speaker 3: want it to be gone.
- 35:36Speaker 5: All right, Well, if you need a callus a nice
- 35:39Speaker 5: hand or card, She takes the card.
- 35:41Speaker 1: What carantom.
- 35:46Speaker 2: Yell it card for paper?
- 35:47Speaker 1: Phantom cool cool trick.
- 35:50Speaker 2: As you walk away, hey.
- 35:53Speaker 1: Uh, Rachel, why did you ask if he has poop powers?
- 35:58Speaker 2: Oh no, no, no vcation yea desiccation.
- 36:06Speaker 1: Defecation so yeah.
- 36:11Speaker 5: Like you know when you desecrate, like a grave or
- 36:13Speaker 5: like no, yeah, like when yeah, maybe I'm also confused.
- 36:20Speaker 4: As you walk away, you're talking about dessication, like making
- 36:24Speaker 4: something dry and wither.
- 36:26Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, I was just like.
- 36:28Speaker 2: When you haven't had enough water and then when you
- 36:30Speaker 2: it comes out of No.
- 36:32Speaker 1: I was just I was just I was just testing, testing, y'all.
- 36:36Speaker 2: We're just doing vocab.
- 36:40Speaker 3: As you walk away, you hear the priestess voice echoing
- 36:44Speaker 3: the cavern. You are welcome back, but please be assured
- 36:49Speaker 3: that you are not followed. Of course, please save our
- 36:55Speaker 3: king Decay.
- 36:57Speaker 2: We're on it.
- 36:57Speaker 4: Thank you, thank you for thank you for the good
- 37:00Speaker 4: work you're doing for those who need saving in our city.
- 37:06Speaker 2: You're you're you're a hero. Thanks child to priest.
- 37:10Speaker 3: Three flowers sprout on you, one behind the wing on
- 37:14Speaker 3: Rigel's helm, one as a lapel booteneer on the Phantom,
- 37:19Speaker 3: and many within the scarf of Quanta.
- 37:23Speaker 1: Oh upgrade.
- 37:26Speaker 5: Hey Roger, do you think if you like, had a
- 37:29Speaker 5: bucket filled with dirt from New Babbel and you stood
- 37:32Speaker 5: in it, do you think you'd have powers?
- 37:35Speaker 2: Hey?
- 37:35Speaker 4: Okay, situation. Why I didn't bring this up? If there
- 37:41Speaker 4: is a you know, a classic superhero secret weakness, this
- 37:47Speaker 4: is mine. Okay, So I'm totally fine joking that bout
- 37:52Speaker 4: it in front of some magical babies. But we can't
- 37:56Speaker 4: let this secret get out or I'm gonna be dragged
- 37:58Speaker 4: outside of the city.
- 37:59Speaker 2: It's shot like a damn dog.
- 38:02Speaker 4: Well, it'd be pretty hard to drag you out if
- 38:04Speaker 4: you're like it would be hard, but nothing's impossible. We've
- 38:07Speaker 4: seen Ryan a Tar's.
- 38:09Speaker 5: I would be worried about redistricting that I can't control.
- 38:14Speaker 1: I mean, it's it's worth testing out later.
- 38:17Speaker 4: I mean, if any lucky you're on board with the
- 38:21Speaker 4: bucket the I want to try the bucket theory as
- 38:24Speaker 4: once we get back inside city limits and Ragual gets
- 38:28Speaker 4: touff again, I'm gonna throw dirt from the America side
- 38:30Speaker 4: at him to see what happens anything, though nothing happens.
- 38:37Speaker 1: Well, I mean, like if if you if someone did
- 38:39Speaker 1: manage to drag you out, you know, we could we
- 38:42Speaker 1: could zap a bucket of cross to you. You know,
- 38:45Speaker 1: it would be nice to know if it.
- 38:47Speaker 5: If it did work, I guess we could plant the
- 38:51Speaker 5: new Babbel flag places and that would just.
- 38:55Speaker 1: Colonize, colonize the United States.
- 38:58Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know, Yeah, but again, I don't know
- 39:01Speaker 4: if the city limits based on the moment the spell
- 39:05Speaker 4: was cast or the magic worked. However, never term works
- 39:10Speaker 4: for GM magic. I'm not sure, but I I'm a
- 39:15Speaker 4: hero for New Babel, the New Babbel alone. I know
- 39:22Speaker 4: you wanted to go to space.
- 39:24Speaker 1: Space seems cool, but hey, the ships were from New Babel,
- 39:32Speaker 1: so belongs to us.
- 39:36Speaker 4: I don't I The first time I figured this out,
- 39:40Speaker 4: it was from flying and I flew a touch too high.
- 39:45Speaker 2: No more powers, so maybe not?
- 39:49Speaker 1: Then?
- 39:51Speaker 5: Yeah, all right, let's go fuck up this animal guy.
- 39:55Speaker 5: Get this child king bag side quest.
- 40:00Speaker 1: It will be maybe less horrific than the doll, but
- 40:04Speaker 1: probably not. Hey, this was on the to do list anyway,
- 40:07Speaker 1: You're right, we need to see where these guys were
- 40:09Speaker 1: coming from.
- 40:10Speaker 2: Lucy, you want to smoke? No, thank you?
- 40:12Speaker 1: Any more thoughts about uh, rock paper Fisters.
- 40:18Speaker 5: It's the strongest candidate. I think it's good.
- 40:21Speaker 4: But shock shock paper fisters right for you? Yeah, unless
- 40:29Speaker 4: we get well, we could get rock Fist in here
- 40:31Speaker 4: and then just he just does it all. Yeah, me
- 40:35Speaker 4: and rock Fist would be rock rock paper Fisters.
- 40:39Speaker 1: That's that's awesome. I mean, we should wake that guy up.
- 40:44Speaker 5: At some point wake him up, force him to be
- 40:46Speaker 5: on a side team with me.
- 40:49Speaker 2: He love it, He love it.
- 40:51Speaker 4: I mean yeah, if me and Quanto ever, you know,
- 40:53Speaker 4: chained up in a in a villain's layer, you spin
- 40:59Speaker 4: off so that Phantom get his team up with Oh,
- 41:03Speaker 4: just for that rock, just for that, you know, that'd
- 41:06Speaker 4: be pretty dope.
- 41:07Speaker 1: I was just you know, curious about you and I
- 41:08Speaker 1: would be like going on a side quest just the
- 41:10Speaker 1: two of us.
- 41:11Speaker 4: Well, maybe fantoms slipped away. He's pretty good at that
- 41:14Speaker 4: compared to me.
- 41:16Speaker 1: Especially, Oh yeah, me as well.
- 41:18Speaker 4: He just turned into a I'm gone a piece of
- 41:22Speaker 4: paper and floats back after he's just floating the wind
- 41:28Speaker 4: American beauty and while we're getting tortured or whatever. But
- 41:32Speaker 4: the names you said, I'm still goosebumping that before our
- 41:39Speaker 4: parents were born, this prophecy spoke about us.
- 41:47Speaker 2: That's nuts.
- 41:49Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean added to the list of crazy shit
- 41:52Speaker 1: that's happened to us.
- 41:54Speaker 4: And it didn't just you know, talk about us freaks
- 42:00Speaker 4: or as lucky or unlucky m weirdos.
- 42:07Speaker 2: They called us night.
- 42:10Speaker 1: That is pretty cool.
- 42:11Speaker 2: It's pretty dope.
- 42:12Speaker 1: It's yeah, it's cool. Are we the Knights? The Knights
- 42:18Speaker 1: of New Babble. We're Nights three, the Nights three the
- 42:24Speaker 1: workshot it a thousand and three Arabian Nights.
- 42:29Speaker 2: That's good.
- 42:30Speaker 1: That was the book I saw the library.
- 42:33Speaker 2: I like this Night's thing.
- 42:35Speaker 1: Guys, Yeah, I like it too.
- 42:37Speaker 2: I think we're getting close.
- 42:39Speaker 1: The night Nights but spelled spelled the two different ways night.
- 42:45Speaker 7: Night Unconscious When when Rachel's a New Babble with.
- 42:56Speaker 1: A tight s don't spread, You're right, all right, My
- 43:01Speaker 1: lips are filed. My lips are tight, except for when
- 43:07Speaker 1: the phantom and I want to make fun.
- 43:08Speaker 2: Of you just a little privately.
- 43:23Speaker 3: You have this discussion as you head as you head
- 43:26Speaker 3: back into the city, led by Lucy. Lucy eventually takes
- 43:32Speaker 3: you those of you who feel like you have a
- 43:34Speaker 3: good sense of the city, which I think all of
- 43:36Speaker 3: you do pretty well. But she takes you underneath, underneath
- 43:41Speaker 3: ask and specifically underneath New Babble Tech University. You climb
- 43:50Speaker 3: up to the sewer level and then out into the
- 43:53Speaker 3: city an alley way that these children know so well
- 43:57Speaker 3: as they hunt in the city for children that need them,
- 44:02Speaker 3: and Lucy points to a tall building that stands next.
- 44:06Speaker 2: To the campus.
- 44:07Speaker 3: The building has a twist in its architecture as it
- 44:13Speaker 3: rises up high into the sky. This was the place
- 44:17Speaker 3: where the greatest scientists of New Babble that were meant
- 44:21Speaker 3: to stay on Earth did their works.
- 44:29Speaker 2: And Lucy says, up there in the very top, we'll
- 44:37Speaker 2: find him.
- 44:39Speaker 3: She nods, thank you for saving our king nights threefold?
- 44:45Speaker 1: What'd you say?
- 44:48Speaker 2: Nights threefold? Threefold? Is a wait to say three? You know?
- 44:53Speaker 2: Magic baby kids say the darnest things, good luck, and she.
- 45:01Speaker 3: Disappears into the shadows and down into the sewers.
- 45:05Speaker 2: Those kids seem like they've got a cool life.
- 45:07Speaker 1: I'm just gonna say, yeah, it is really cool down.
- 45:10Speaker 2: There, better than my childhood. Jeez, Louise, you.
- 45:13Speaker 1: See all those plants? Have we got to maybe? I
- 45:18Speaker 1: know you're I know you've got your drawers and your
- 45:20Speaker 1: closets or whatever in your brain, But I'm gonna come
- 45:23Speaker 1: back to that one.
- 45:24Speaker 2: What. No, it's good. I am. I think they've got
- 45:28Speaker 2: a cool setup.
- 45:29Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, but then you said way better than mine?
- 45:32Speaker 1: Mm hmm yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm gonna tuck that
- 45:36Speaker 1: in one of my drawers for later.
- 45:38Speaker 2: Okay, I don't say it like the hat.
- 45:40Speaker 1: Jeez, how about as your friend. I'm gonna ask about
- 45:44Speaker 1: that later.
- 45:45Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, sure, if you want to know, Asoul, we
- 45:48Speaker 2: go see if we can save their king.
- 45:53Speaker 1: It sounds like a job for nights, doesn't it saving
- 45:56Speaker 1: the king?
- 45:57Speaker 4: Yeah, sounds about night. Sorry, Sorry I tried. I took
- 46:03Speaker 4: a swinglet.
- 46:06Speaker 1: No sounds about night. Sounds about nights, I turn into nightning.
- 46:13Speaker 3: Without Really, you guys are empowered people. The city you
- 46:19Speaker 3: feel as you move through it again the energy that
- 46:25Speaker 3: you have caused in this day. It is becoming night,
- 46:31Speaker 3: but there are rumblings as the people respond to the
- 46:38Speaker 3: truth that has.
- 46:38Speaker 2: Been given them.
- 46:40Speaker 3: But without rolling, you're very powerful. You can enter this
- 46:44Speaker 3: building how you want, Quanta. You sense that most of
- 46:50Speaker 3: the building is empty. It's becoming night. However, I think
- 46:55Speaker 3: with the powers of the phantom, you realize that this
- 46:58Speaker 3: is still a place where work, where science is done
- 47:02Speaker 3: and discoveries are found in the bottom part of the building.
- 47:09Speaker 1: After today, we've got a pretty high profile, the highest
- 47:12Speaker 1: we've had so not the front doors.
- 47:17Speaker 2: Ooh, paper back door?
- 47:20Speaker 1: Can he can he take us?
- 47:23Speaker 2: Sure? I sorry, I have to say that.
- 47:27Speaker 3: Yeah, the paper back door is the papers, But is
- 47:29Speaker 3: the paper phantoms about home?
- 47:31Speaker 2: Door?
- 47:33Speaker 1: Yeah? I mean, if I got to go in there,
- 47:35Speaker 1: that's that's the way it's got to be.
- 47:38Speaker 5: Yeah, like pajama style, have a butt flap that opens.
- 47:44Speaker 2: Uh No, I'll.
- 47:46Speaker 5: Craft a big paper door that can lead into another
- 47:49Speaker 5: piece of paper in presumably where we think the later is.
- 47:52Speaker 2: You have never taken people with you? I want to try.
- 47:56Speaker 1: Hell yeah, take me too, the paper realm.
- 48:04Speaker 2: This is gonna be hard. This is a power you have.
- 48:06Speaker 3: Branched, right, Yeah, but it's gonna be still a very
- 48:09Speaker 3: difficult check because you're trying to take two people with you.
- 48:11Speaker 3: This is a godly check, so it will cost an energy.
- 48:13Speaker 3: I'm rolling a D twenty and a D four.
- 48:15Speaker 1: Okay, I would love to use my always helpful oh
- 48:19Speaker 1: yeah bye, just zapping the paper like I do to
- 48:24Speaker 1: make the Adams Flexi.
- 48:27Speaker 3: And this is going to be we are using it
- 48:30Speaker 3: for sneaky purposes. Also, yeah, I think I'm gonna ask
- 48:34Speaker 3: for a spirit check. As you try to move people
- 48:38Speaker 3: through a paper dimension, spirit plus your power.
- 48:43Speaker 1: I'll give you three from my lightning reflexes pool. All right,
- 48:48Speaker 1: I'll make control electricity. Pool makes more sense.
- 48:51Speaker 2: I rolled a three on my D four, which is good.
- 48:54Speaker 2: Ooh and on my D twenty, I rolled a five.
- 48:58Speaker 5: Whoa, I've got an a here plus the three that
- 49:01Speaker 5: FRONTA gave, so that's eleven.
- 49:03Speaker 2: Yeah, what happens?
- 49:07Speaker 5: I unfurl a piece of my cloak into the shape
- 49:11Speaker 5: of a door, and I open it. And you see
- 49:15Speaker 5: the void, the paper dimension, the behind every piece of paper,
- 49:20Speaker 5: and the windows poking out the other ones. And my
- 49:24Speaker 5: butt flap folds down.
- 49:27Speaker 2: Follow me, I.
- 49:30Speaker 5: Link arms with you, guys as he skip through a door.
- 49:34Speaker 5: The paper folds up, closes and floats away in the wind.
- 49:39Speaker 5: And then cut to the inside of the lab. A
- 49:43Speaker 5: drawer slides open, recepts old, crumpled, dirty receipts.
- 49:50Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, somebody's been getting so much grimaceking Ugh,
- 49:54Speaker 1: these are greasy.
- 49:55Speaker 5: They unfurl, expanding, growing to the size all three of
- 50:00Speaker 5: us can, like a man hole, like Mario coming out
- 50:04Speaker 5: of a pipe. Like we just step out of a
- 50:07Speaker 5: drawer into the shadowy corners.
- 50:10Speaker 3: Of the lab, and as you do, you're greeted with
- 50:34Speaker 3: a sickly green aura. The entire floor top floor of
- 50:40Speaker 3: this building is filled with a laboratory, and there's a
- 50:45Speaker 3: lot to take in. As your eyes scan the area,
- 50:49Speaker 3: powerful electric coils to conduct and then store energy. Rows
- 50:55Speaker 3: of beakers and flasks filled with liquid, some bubblings, some still,
- 51:01Speaker 3: some swirling, all a variety of colors oozing, purple, ghastly, green, electric, blue.
- 51:09Speaker 3: There are racks filled with specimen jars, organs, other bits
- 51:14Speaker 3: and pieces of animals and humans that went unused, being
- 51:19Speaker 3: stored for future projects. Tables and boards of I said,
- 51:26Speaker 3: tables like.
- 51:27Speaker 6: It was a big deals and tables atoms, tables and
- 51:37Speaker 6: boards of documents showing the chaotic work of a twisted doctor.
- 51:43Speaker 3: Something you note there's a picture drawn by a child
- 51:46Speaker 3: of a child and a small brown dog hanging on
- 51:49Speaker 3: a wall claw marks leading up to the center of
- 51:55Speaker 3: the room. There are six upright tanks. One you note
- 52:01Speaker 3: is broken, the glass shattered and whatever was once in
- 52:05Speaker 3: it long gone.
- 52:07Speaker 2: There is no.
- 52:08Speaker 3: Residue even of the liquid that used to be contained within.
- 52:12Speaker 3: The other five do have pulsing green liquid, and one
- 52:17Speaker 3: of them also has a boy and a cat in
- 52:22Speaker 3: it that they are both beginning to ooze, starting with
- 52:28Speaker 3: their skin. Their bodies are breaking down, melting, and beginning
- 52:33Speaker 3: to reach for each other.
- 52:35Speaker 2: Oh, you guys, hold me forty phantom bucks.
- 52:37Speaker 1: I can't print that shit.
- 52:41Speaker 2: You go, thanks.
- 52:43Speaker 3: A little my tab and then a voice behind you, ah,
- 52:49Speaker 3: I ha, I try to stop it now. If that
- 52:58Speaker 3: is why you have come, he wouldn't survive.
- 53:07Speaker 1: I turn around.
- 53:09Speaker 3: Slowly stepping out of the darkness is doctor Moreau.
- 53:14Speaker 2: He stands about five and a half feet tall. He
- 53:18Speaker 2: wears comfortable loafer shoes. Comfortable loafer shoes, practical.
- 53:23Speaker 3: His khakis and button down blue shirt are covered by
- 53:26Speaker 3: a lab coat, and his glasses sit on his balding crown.
- 53:32Speaker 3: I was wondering if you would come after you killed
- 53:37Speaker 3: my precious tumble.
- 53:39Speaker 4: Oh you're the one making these people like this, dude, You.
- 53:44Speaker 3: Forget all that a skilled vivisector can do with living things.
- 53:49Speaker 3: For my own part, I'm puzzled why the things I
- 53:53Speaker 3: have done here have.
- 53:54Speaker 2: Not been done before?
- 53:58Speaker 3: And two man mixed with gorillas. The lumber up behind him,
- 54:05Speaker 3: and that's where we'll end this episode of the Team
- 54:08Speaker 3: Up Play Show Podcast.
- 54:21Speaker 2: Gorilla Man. Okay, that's all we're doing.
- 54:34Speaker 1: We're all right, like some flashy pants and they.
