- Craig: Well week five is here and nailing those lineup decisions has never been more important than it is right now. Teams are starting to shake out, playoff scenarios are starting to come up, and you need to make the right starts and sits. We've got it all covered right here, right now. Welcome back to Fat Daddy Sports. My name is Craig, and today we are taking a look at the starts and sits for every matchup in week five. And before we jump in, I just want to remind you, in case you didn't notice, You've got a couple of holes in your lineup, maybe. The Panthers and the Chiefs are both on byes this week. We are officially into the bye weeks. And this is where fantasy football starts to get really, really fun or really complicated sometimes depending on your format. But the Panthers and the Chiefs are on buys this week. So make sure if you have any players on those teams, both very good offenses this year, you get those guys out of your lineups this week. But let's go ahead and jump right into Thursday night's action. We have got the Buccaneers and the Cowboys this week on Thursday night football. Last week, I was kind of dreading the fantasy implications of the Browns and the Steelers, and they kind of really outdid themselves. This week, the Buccaneers and the Cowboys. Not so excited about the Buccaneers, but The Cowboys should be fine. You can see right here, I I don't have any favor in the Buccaneers this week at all. Jalen Daniels is reportedly going to be their quarterback again this week, and he really didn't look all that great in week four. so we've got him as a sit, Bucky Irving. I don't know what's going on there. They don't trust him around the goal line. If he's not getting those goal line carries, he's not going to give those RB2 numbers. I can't trust him in my lineup. Especially on a short week. I don't know. Sometimes on short weeks they tend to run the ball more, but I just if I've got a better option than Bucky, I'm gonna throw them in my lineup over him this week. If you don't have a better option, then he's a very, very low end RB2 with very tempered expectations. Kenneth Gainwell, you can't trust him at all either. Meka Abuka, Chris Godwin, Ted Hurst, Kate Otten. I don't know who's getting the ball, who's getting targets. Abuka only had four targets last week, did absolutely nothing. And I have zero confidence in this pass game for the Buccaneers. So I don't really want any part of it. Dallas's defense should be a little bit better than they have been. Caleb Downs, the addition there should help things out, but I just don't trust this Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense at all right now. Over on the Dallas side of things, Dak, you're probably starting. Javante Williams will fall into the end zone a couple times. CeeDee Lamb will get four million targets. You're obviously starting him. George Pickens hasn't been great. Trust me, I've got him in a couple leagues. It hasn't been great, but maybe this is the week that he turns things around, gets it going. And then Jake Ferguson, he finds the end zone every week. So you're starting him as well. Over to the Sunday morning game over in London between the Eagles and the Jaguars. On the Philadelphia side of things, they are very banged up, both offense and defensively. Jalen Hurts, if you don't have a better option, which You probably took him in about that fifth round. You probably don't have a better option. So you'll start him unless you have somebody else. Saquon is banged up with that hamstring injury. Should miss a few weeks here, I would assume. Tank Bigsby got added to the IR. So that leaves Will Shipley as the guy for Philadelphia. By the time that this video comes out, they've probably already called some guys up from the practice squad. But as of right now, they haven't announced anything. but Will Shipley should be the main guy there. He catches a lot of passes. He could. You know, in a deeper league, he could provide some solid RB2 numbers, I guess, moving forward. But this week against Jacksonville, I I don't know what to expect yet. So I'm if I pick him up off of waivers, I'm not necessarily throwing him in my lineup right away unless I absolutely have to. Devontae Smith, as of the recording of this, still injured with that hamstring injury. Makai Lemon, Dontavian Wicks, I don't necessarily want to start. Darius Cooper. He's caught five passes. Three of them have been touchdowns this year. You're kind of flirting with disaster there if you throw him in your lineup. I mean, any of those wide receivers, you can you can throw a dart at the wall and hope that it sticks. I'm personally staying away from all Philadelphia pass catchers in this one. On the Jacksonville side of things, Trevor Lawrence is a start. Bayeshall Tootin had a huge game in week four that got called back, two touchdowns that got called back. Chris Rodriguez fell into the end zone and took some of those points from him. But I'm starting Tootin. I'm sitting Rodriguez. I'm sitting Thomas Jr. Parker Washington only, I think, had three targets in week four, but that's gonna be an anomaly. He's going to be better going forward. Jacoby Myers, I will sit. And Brenton Strange, I'm sitting because I probably have better options. But if you're a tight end needy team, he has really upped his route participation the last couple of weeks. They've been looking at him a lot more. So if you need a tight end, Brenton Strage could be a very, very good flyer in this matchup. Over to Cincinnati and Miami on the Cincinnati side of things, they've got their own mess of injuries. But as of the recording of this, we're just gonna go. Plow right through here. Joe Burrow's a start. Chase Brown should find the end zone here at some point in the season. He's been pretty good without finding the end zone. So you can only imagine how good his numbers will be going forward. Jamar Chase, keep an eye on that concussion. Haven't heard a whole lot. T. Higgins, same thing. Keep an eye on his injury, but obviously those guys are active. You're playing them. Dante Myers, I know he was a big name last week when Chase and Higgins went out. I'm not rushing to start him. He's not somebody that I think is going to be fantastic. Relevant. I guess if Chase and Higgins are both out, he could be relevant. and then same with Mike Gasicki. If both those guys are out, or even if one of Chase or Higgins is out, I could start Gasicki if I needed a tight end. I think if they are fully healthy, full strength on offense, I'm really only starting Burrow, Brown, Chase, and Higgins most weeks. Over to Miami. you're sitting Malik Willis, Ollie Gordon, you could start as a low end RB2. I think he was fine in week four. I think he was like nine for a hundred and one yards or something. So a very big run that kind of aided those numbers, but it was against a very tough defense. We'll see if the Cincinnati Bengals defense is for real or not this week. But I think you could start Ollie Gordon if you have him. You probably had a chan and so you're probably needing a running back. So you could probably go ahead and start Oli Gordon, but temper expectations certainly. Jalen Wright definitely looked to be second fiddle there. Chris Bell, Malik Washington. I'm sitting both those guys. And then Caleb Douglas. We'll see when he comes back from that injury. But I don't really want any part of this Miami offense outside of Ali Gordon. Over to the Raiders and the Patriots. this one should be pretty fun. The Patriots looked a little bit better in week four. But for Las Vegas, we are starting Kirk Cousins. I think he could give you top ten numbers certainly. If you need a quarterback start, Kirk Cousins could be your guy. Aston Genty were starting. Jalen Naylor. Gotta keep an eye on that injury. He went down in that game against Kansas City. Trey Tucker. Brock Bowers were starting and Michael Mayer, if you're in a deep league, you need a tight end. Michael Mayer has been dominating, which I talked about a couple weeks ago when Bowers came back. I really thought that they would go with two tight ends and still use Michael Mayer a lot. They paid him the big money a few weeks back, and they are proving why They love to use two tight end sets. So if you need a tight end and you're in a deep league, Michael Mayer could be a good start. On the New England side of things, welcome back, Drake May. I was very, very low on him last week, and he made me pay by going out and being quarterback one overall. He's back in my starting lineup. Ramondre Stevenson, if I need a flex play, I mean, he's probably gonna find the end zone in this one. Trevion Henderson, I just I don't get it. I mean, he is lightning in a bottle, and they just want to keep using Ramondre. So If I have Trayvon, I'm sitting him down. Romeo Dobbs, if you need a flex play, you could throw him in there. He just had a couple touchdowns, looked to be that number one wide receiver that they have been needing very, very desperately. Matt Collins got banged up in the in week four, so keep an eye on that. But I'm sitting him even if he's healthy. Demario Douglas, same thing. And Hunter Henry, the same thing. Really, only Romeo Dobbs is the one that I would go with. I think the targets are there for him, but I still don't love any of these New England pass catchers. Minnesota and New Orleans. This one should be a fun one as well. Minnesota's offense has not looked very good, but we're gonna go ahead and fire up Kyler Murray, Aaron Jones, Justin Jefferson if he is back. Jordan Addison, if if Jefferson is out, I will start Addison. Otherwise, I don't want any part of that. And then Hawkinson, he's been playing too good, getting too many targets to sit down this week. So I'll fire him up. On the New Orleans side of things, Tyler Shook is a start. Alvin Kamara, I have down as a flex, but after this past Monday night, he looked like a solid RB2 option. So if you have Alvin Kamara, you need him, throw him in your lineup. Chris Olave, he got banged up at the end of that game on Monday night. So keep an eye on that. Hopefully, nothing long term. He has been very, very good this year. Hopefully he can be out there the rest of the year. and then Devon Vale also has looked good as well as Jawan Johnson. So I'm starting pretty much all of these Saints players that I can get my hands on. The Cleveland Browns and the New York Jets. This one, I don't know. I say it could be a stinker, but it could also be very good. Both of these offenses offenses have looked good and have looked bad at times this year. But we'll go ahead and sit Deshaun Watson, even though he's coming off a very good I think two games in a row now for Deshaun. Quinson Judkins will probably find the end zone. Denzel Boston and Casey Concepcion, the the route share, the routes run, the targets, everything is there for those guys. One of them will go off this week. It just depends who it might be. But if you have them, go ahead and throw them in at that flex spot. Harold Fannon Jr. smashing him into my tight end start spot. And then for the Jets, Gino is sitting after last week's slow and not great performance. Brees Hall still injured, I think. They haven't really said a whole lot, but it was expected to be a multi-week injury. So I'm not counting on having him back. Braylon Allen, I think, bounces back after last week. I mean, last week you can just kind of throw in the garbage. The Jets didn't run enough plays to be relevant offensively. So Braylon Allen bounces back this week, as does Garrett Wilson. We'll see if Adnan Mitchell is back from that injury. For right now, I'm gonna sit him down if he is back. He could be a low-end flex play guy for me, I could see. and then Kenyon Sadiq, I think last week, again, you throw it in the garbage can and you move forward. I don't know that I would expect what I got out of him against Detroit, but I do think better days are ahead for Kenyon Sadiq. He's too talented to keep off the field and to keep the ball out of his hands. For the Colts and the Steelers, this one it just feels yucky all the way around. Daniel Jones, no thank you. Jonathan Taylor. Yes, please, I will have six touchdowns every game if I have him in my lineup. So I'll start him. Josh Downs, if you absolutely need him at the flex, you can put him in. Keenan Allen, Tyler Warren. Yeah, I guess Tyler Warren can be in the starting lineup. For Pittsburgh, Aaron Rodgers is a sit, even though he has been pretty good. If you're in a two quarterback league, you need a desperation quarterback play. He's thrown three touchdowns multiple times this year. You could throw him in there. Rico Dowdle still monitoring that injury. Jalen Warren has been dominating. So we'll throw him in the lineup. DK Metcalf, if you need a flex play, temper expectations for sure. Michael Pittman, no thanks. Roman Wilson, I could throw in the flex. And then Pat Fryermuth, we're gonna sit down as well. Over to the Texans and the Titans, CJ Stroud, he was pretty good last week, but I'm still not gonna trust it quite yet. I think that this Titans team is not very good. So Stroud could have a good day. If you need a quarterback, I could throw him in there. But certainly, I don't think I'm starting him in a 12 team, one quarterback league just yet. David Montgomery, Woody Marks, I have no idea what's going on with this run game in Houston. I want no part of it right now. Nico Collins, if you got him, you're obviously starting him. He is a stud and showed that coming back from his injury last week in week four. Absolutely dominated against me in multiple leagues. Not a fun time. Xavier Hutchinson and really all these other wide receivers, I'm sitting now that Nico is back. Dalton Schultz also went right back to irrelevance really before Nico Collins was back, but certainly now that Nico's back, Dalton Schultz disappeared again. For the Titans, Cam Ward, see you later. Tony Pollard, low end RB two. We've talked about that multiple weeks. He's very quietly putting together a nice RB two season. not always the prettiest, usually pretty ugly, but he could find the end zone when needed. Tajay Spears has been getting involved, but not really ready to be in your lineup yet. Carnell Tate saw a ton of targets in week four. I think that that is really ramped up the last few weeks. The usage has really started to uptick, and I think he is the breakout is maybe right here upon us. So him starting Carnell Tate in a couple of my lineups this week. And I really think that you probably should too if you have him on your bench. You've been holding on to him this first month. I think now's the time that Carnell Tate's about to start taking off. We'll see what that actually entails with Cam Ward as his quarterback. It might be capped a little bit, but I do still think he's a very, very solid R or very solid wide receiver two flex option going forward throughout the season. and then Wandell Robinson we're sitting down for the Giants and the Commanders, Jameis Winston up and down, Jameis Winston experience. We're not putting him in our lineup. But Scattabu, Malik neighbors, and Isaiah likely, we can feel pretty confident with them in the lineup. I think that Jameis showed enough last week that we can trust him. And this commander's defense is kind of up and down. Don't really know, you know, quite yet if they're really good, really bad. I have no idea, but I do think that this could be a fun game to be have some pieces in. On the Washington side of things, Jaden Daniels may be back this week if you got him. You probably don't have another better option that you picked up to replace him while he was out. So you're probably gonna start Jaden Daniels. Kelakamanis, we're not starting him, showed a few plays where he was good. If Jaden Daniels is back, obviously he's not playing anyway. So you probably don't need to worry about him at all. Bill Krosky Merritt, Rashad White, Austin Eckler, this whole backfield. I don't want any part of Bill Krosky Merritt has looked not good at all. They've gone out and signed Austin Eckler off of his couch. I don't think that this run game is very good at all. I mean, I think that they can catch some passes, but with Jaden Daniels out there, he's gonna limit some of that upside anyway. So I'm staying clear of this backfield. Terry McLaurin, we're watching for his hamstring injury. If he still misses time, obviously you're not playing him, but if Terry's out there, I think you're you're probably playing him with low expectations. Stefan Diggs, I think, gets a bump if Jaden Daniels is back. And then Antonio Williams is obviously a monitor if Terry McLaurin is out. Didn't show a whole lot in the stat line last week against Indianapolis, but on the film he showed some really good things. I think going forward, Antonio Williams is a name to watch. The coaches there really seem to like him a lot. So an intriguing rookie play as the season goes on. For the rivalry in Green Bay, the Bears and the Packers, Caleb Williams keeping an eye on that injury watch, but it sounds like Tyson Bajant's for sure starting this week. So I'm not quite ready to start Tyson Bajant. I think that he looked good last week. They just didn't get it into the end zone through the year, so his numbers were We're not very good for fantasy. DeAndre Swi DeAndre Swift, we are starting. Calmonungai, we're starting. If he's out there, had that thumb injury. We'll see whatever comes of that. As of the recording of this video, we haven't heard anything yet. So keeping an eye on that. And then Burden, Odunze, and Lovelin, we're just gonna start them. I I don't know what else to expect. Obviously, if you have better options, throw them in instead of these guys. But I like this Bears offense. They're gonna score points. It's just gonna be a matter of who scores what week. So Trust your guys, throw them out there if you need them. For Green Bay, it's kind of the same thing. Jordan Love, we're starting. Backfield, we're staying away from Watson and Golden and Kraft. We are starting all of them. Pretty simple in Green Bay for me. I want the pass catchers. I want the quarterback. I don't want the running backs at all. Over to the Broncos and the Chargers, AFC West battle. Bo Nicks. He's been decent the last couple weeks. We could start him. JK Dobbins, RJ Harvey. Ugh. Backfield has not looked good at all. Pat Bryant went down last week with an injury. He's going to be put on an IR, so he will be out. Jalen Waddell, I guess if you need a start at your flex position, you could start him. He's been up and down. Don't really understand. I thought he was going to have a big year. I think a lot of people, including the Broncos, thought that. Just hasn't panned out so far through the first month. Maybe he turns it around here against a struggling, struggling Chargers team. Justin Herbert, talk about struggling. We are sitting him down. Omarion Hampton. You probably took him in the first round, so I don't know if you have better options, but it doesn't take much to be a better option. So it depends on your team for him. Keaton Mitchell has seen a lot more action the last few weeks, more than O'Marian Hampton. So maybe you're starting him at a flex spot, but I'm sitting him. Lad McConkey, another injury monitoring that situation. If Ladd is close to 100%, you're throwing him in, but I think he's just a sit really at this point. Quentin Johnston and Aronday Gadston. I'm sitting them. I can't trust anybody on this Chargers offense. I just I hate it. Moving on. Over to Detroit and Arizona. Jared Goff is a start. Jameer Gibbs, Amon Ra, Jameson Williams, and Sam Laporta. Jameson Williams I have as a sit, but you can play with fire however you want to. I'm choosing to just sit out on this one. Obviously, had a huge game in week four, or a big, big game in week four. But before that, it was three duds in a row, and it could very well be another dud this week. You just never know with Jameson Williams. Depends on how risky you want to be and what your lineup looks like. I'll leave that decision up to you on JMO. Jacoby Brissett, Tyler Algier, Jeremiah Love. I have Love as a start right now, but man, he just sounds depressed and banged up. And I would not be shocked after the recording of this video if something more comes out about Jeremiah Love's injury. I hope he doesn't head to IR. I really, really hope that. But the ankle injury is a new angle, ankle injury on his other ankle. Doesn't sound good. Sounds like maybe he could miss some time. If that's the case, Tyler Algier is a smash start. We are putting him into our lineups everywhere. Marvin Center Marvin Harrison Jr., kick rocks, dude. Caught that first pass, touchdown, thought, okay, here comes the Marv show. I just, I'm done with it. Michael Wilson, he's getting all the targets. You gotta have him in the lineup, and then Trey McBride. He can just be in permanent ink start. We are never taking him out of our lineups. Over to San Francisco and Seattle. Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffrey, our starts, Mike Evans. This still says monitor on it, but he you don't need to monitor. He played last week, should be good to go. Debo Samuel, another good wide receiver, two number day for Debo. He's in your lineup. George Kittle's in your lineup. On the Seattle side of things, Sam Darnold is a start. George Helani, we are done with. Emmanuel Wilson led this backfield 21 carries last week. He is a start. Seems to be the RB1 there right now. Zach Charbonnet should be coming back here in the next two weeks. we'll see. Maybe he's even back this week. I have no idea. They just tried to sign Joe Mixon. It didn't work out. They ended up not signing him. But Charbonnet's window had been opened up last week. So he is the time is ticking for him to be activated. Should be back from that injury sometime soon. That will definitely hurt Emmanuel Wilson's value. But right now, Emmanuel Wilson seems to be RB1. We are throwing him into our lineup. and then JSN, we're starting AJ Barner, we're staying away from. Over to the Nightcap, Baltimore and the Falcons. Lamar Jackson monitoring that issue. it that injury seems to be a multi-week injury with his ankle. They haven't really said a whole lot as of the recording of this, but it sounds like it's going to be at least a week, maybe. Multi week Snoop Huntley. Snoop Huntley will be the the starting quarterback for the Ravens if Lamar misses some time. So keep an eye on that. But Derek Henry, Zay Flowers, we're starting. Mark Andrews, we could start if we need a tight end start. And then for Atlanta, they have been on fire lately. Give me that whole offense minus Kyle Pitts. I don't really know what's going on there. He's just not playing snaps. They're not really saying a whole lot. He had a decent Monday night this past week, but he's just not playing enough snaps. I don't know what's going on. So I'm staying away from Kyle Pitts, but give me the rest of that offense, including Brian Robinson as the flex. I mean, he just had three touchdowns this past week. I I don't get it, but put him in your lineup if you need a running back. And then over to Monday night, the Bills and the Rams. This one should be a fun Monday night matchup. Josh Allen's a start. James Cook's a start. DJ Moore re-aggravated his shoulder issue. Keep an eye on that. If he's out there. And you're feeling risky, go ahead and play him. I don't think he's close to 100%. So we'll see if he even gets the full amount of snaps. Khalil Shakir and Keon Coleman should both get a bump on that. I have monitor on Keon Coleman because if DJ Moore misses time, Keon Coleman goes right into my lineup. Otherwise, I'm probably staying away from Keon Coleman. Dalton Kincaid will give another shot this week. The last two weeks, he has put dumps out there for us. But I still trust the process, still trust the player. I think maybe this week he gets it turned around a little bit. And then for the Rams, Stafford, Kyron Williams, Puka, Devonta, we're starting all those guys. And then keep an eye on Tyler Higbee if you need a tight end. He was pretty good last week, even with Puka back. So if you need a tight end, you're in a deeper league. Tyler Higbee could be the guy to turn to. Blake Coram, this is the first time that I have said to sit him down. He is just not getting the work. They are using Kyron Williams to get to the lead, or they're using Kyron Williams to get, you know, dig themselves out of a hole. When they need production, they don't turn to Blake Coram. If they're in a positive game script, then they split the carries a little bit more. But so far this year, they've kind of been trailing a little bit. So It's kind of been the Kyron show and he has looked pretty good. So I'm not looking to start Blake Coram if I don't need to. Well, that's all I've got for you guys on this one. Let me know down in the comments who you are struggling with in your start and sit decisions for week five. And if you saw anything that you liked, be sure to hit that like button, hit that subscribe button, and I will catch you guys on the next video. See ya.
