- 0:48Speaker 1: Please welcome Faith Martin. Welcome. I'm so happy to chat.
- 0:53Speaker 1: It's been a while. Happy New Year, Thank you to
- 0:55Speaker 1: you as well.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Happy twenty twenty six.
- 0:58Speaker 2: I cannot believe it's twenty twenty six. And you know
- 1:01Speaker 2: I can't believe that because my son.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Is graduating high school this year.
- 1:06Speaker 2: I know, I mean, I know, you've been there. You've
- 1:08Speaker 2: been there and there long ago.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I know.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Okay, So before we get into all of the happy
- 1:17Speaker 2: things happening in our new year, I would love to
- 1:20Speaker 2: go back a little bit and talk about Obviously we
- 1:24Speaker 2: met on the Golden Bachelor.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Loved that day. It was so much fun. Oh my gosh,
- 1:31Speaker 1: so fun.
- 1:31Speaker 2: And then let's see, we saw each other at the
- 1:35Speaker 2: Golden Bachelor wedding, and I watched you on Bachelor in Paradise.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Everyone watched you leave with Captain Kim. Can you talk
- 1:47Speaker 2: about that relationship and what actually happened after Paradise because
- 1:52Speaker 2: we all know we saw on Instagram that you guys
- 1:55Speaker 2: posted together, and then I don't know that I ever
- 1:57Speaker 2: heard what happened.
- 1:58Speaker 1: What happened, you know, as.
- 2:01Speaker 3: The show goes. There was so much to that show.
- 2:04Speaker 3: I wish they really could have made it longer and
- 2:06Speaker 3: really shown what was happening in the background. And I
- 2:09Speaker 3: don't know, is that really do you want that story?
- 2:12Speaker 3: Because heck yeah, it was so so incredibly enlightening, Trista
- 2:17Speaker 3: really was, because, you know, to be just totally transparent here,
- 2:22Speaker 3: Kim had contacted me prior to me going to Bachelor,
- 2:27Speaker 3: But of course, when I knew that I was going
- 2:29Speaker 3: to be attending Bachelor, I also knew that it's hush
- 2:32Speaker 3: hush and we are not supposed to talk about it.
- 2:34Speaker 3: So I was immediately put off from him, going, oh
- 2:39Speaker 3: my guy, why is he asking if I'm going to
- 2:41Speaker 3: be on VIP right, because I'm like, we're not supposed
- 2:44Speaker 3: to talk about so anyway. Then when everybody was saying,
- 2:48Speaker 3: what you know, what guys do you want to see?
- 2:50Speaker 3: And I'm imagining half this cast from jone season, you know,
- 2:56Speaker 3: all the ones that I had my eye on, and
- 2:59Speaker 3: but I was already put off by Kim, So I said,
- 3:02Speaker 3: you know, Jonathan, you know all these different guys, and
- 3:05Speaker 3: then I said, anybody but that Kim dude. So I was.
- 3:10Speaker 3: I was immediately put off by him. Not to mention
- 3:12Speaker 3: that I did not really think, you know, I wasn't
- 3:15Speaker 3: attracted to him when he was on Jones season. So
- 3:19Speaker 3: but when I got to Bachelor and Paradise, of course,
- 3:21Speaker 3: everybody's already hooked up. So I had told Kim, I
- 3:26Speaker 3: am not romantically attracted to you like that. He said, understood.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Well then when he gave me the rose and we
- 3:34Speaker 3: and you know, you know, I took Kathy on the
- 3:36Speaker 3: date on the one on one so but and Kim
- 3:40Speaker 3: actually had gone to the hospital for heart issues, you know,
- 3:43Speaker 3: so I'm crazy. It was crazy, and everybody was already
- 3:48Speaker 3: teamed up, so when Kim gave me the rose, it
- 3:51Speaker 3: seemed only right that I should at least try to
- 3:53Speaker 3: get to know him well. Then when we started talking,
- 3:55Speaker 3: I blurted out, as I often do without thinking, oh
- 3:58Speaker 3: my god, I'm so surprised I'm enjoying you so much.
- 4:01Speaker 3: And he goes what And I said, I'm just surprised
- 4:05Speaker 3: if I'm enjoying you so much, And he's like, oh, thanks,
- 4:09Speaker 3: I think you know so right. I neverite, really I
- 4:14Speaker 3: need to vone to what I say. So anyway, we
- 4:17Speaker 3: just started to get.
- 4:18Speaker 1: No you don't, by the way, no you don't.
- 4:20Speaker 3: We just started to get to know each other, and
- 4:22Speaker 3: I really liked him as a person. I thought, well,
- 4:25Speaker 3: I kind of got the wrong idea about him that
- 4:26Speaker 3: it really gave me kind of a self check on
- 4:30Speaker 3: my judgmental You know, as women, we automatically, you know,
- 4:34Speaker 3: a guy walks in a room with him five seconds,
- 4:36Speaker 3: we know if we want to sleep with them, marry him,
- 4:38Speaker 3: send him on their way, if we like him, we
- 4:40Speaker 3: don't like him. You know, it all happened in just
- 4:42Speaker 3: ten minutes, right, So I had already made decisions about
- 4:45Speaker 3: him that that wasn't anybody that I was interested in,
- 4:49Speaker 3: And I said, you know, and they were like, well,
- 4:50Speaker 3: what do you like about him? Well, you know, he's this, this, this, this.
- 4:53Speaker 3: I had nothing but great things to say about him,
- 4:55Speaker 3: because I really thought a lot of him. But did
- 4:58Speaker 3: I have those romantic feelings? Not much. Then he kissed
- 5:02Speaker 3: me at the water cooler and I was like, I
- 5:04Speaker 3: didn't hate it, you know, oddly I didn't hate it.
- 5:08Speaker 3: And then of course there's free flowing champagne, you know,
- 5:11Speaker 3: a few cocktails in, and then we kissed in the pool,
- 5:15Speaker 3: and I'm like, I might have actually really liked that.
- 5:18Speaker 3: So I think, you know, keep in mind too, I
- 5:21Speaker 3: hadn't dated anybody after Gary at all. Right, So I
- 5:24Speaker 3: hadn't even kissed anyone since Gary. I hadn't you know,
- 5:27Speaker 3: had my hand held an arm around me, no affection
- 5:31Speaker 3: at all, you know, And so I really just allowed
- 5:34Speaker 3: myself to be open to it and to just enjoy
- 5:36Speaker 3: the affection. And what was so interesting, Trista is that
- 5:41Speaker 3: after he kissed me the next day, I marched him
- 5:44Speaker 3: down to the beach and we sat down and I
- 5:46Speaker 3: did this big thing. You know, you're a really great guy.
- 5:49Speaker 3: You're an attractive guy. You're a nice man. I really
- 5:52Speaker 3: like you, but you need to know I am not
- 5:54Speaker 3: attracted to you romantically. Yeah, And he looks at me
- 5:59Speaker 3: and he's like, that's okay. You deserve it all. He said,
- 6:04Speaker 3: you deserve all that chemistry you want. You deserve companionship, affection, chemistry.
- 6:09Speaker 3: You should have it all. And I'm like, I've never
- 6:11Speaker 3: gotten that response when I pulled people that before. I
- 6:14Speaker 3: was like, that's so nice, and he goes, so the
- 6:16Speaker 3: pressure is off. You don't have to like me like that.
- 6:18Speaker 3: Let's just go have fun. In that moment, I was like,
- 6:21Speaker 3: oh my god, I like him so much right now.
- 6:24Speaker 3: So I just really let my guard down and I
- 6:26Speaker 3: allowed myself to just see if maybe I could like him. Well.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Then I'm still coming back to the in the moments,
- 6:33Speaker 3: and I'm telling the producer behind the camera, you know,
- 6:35Speaker 3: he's such a great guy, but I just don't feel
- 6:37Speaker 3: any you know, of those kind of feelings toward him.
- 6:40Speaker 3: And I said, when the times get rough, when you're
- 6:43Speaker 3: in a relationship, if you don't have that chemistry, what
- 6:46Speaker 3: keeps you coming back? Right? What keeps you coming back?
- 6:50Speaker 3: And then all of a sudden, hearing myself say that
- 6:52Speaker 3: it took me to tears. I broke into tears, and
- 6:55Speaker 3: I was like, oh my god, I'm such an idiot,
- 6:57Speaker 3: because the things that should bring us back are the
- 7:00Speaker 3: qualities that are sustainable in a relationship, like love and
- 7:04Speaker 3: understanding and communication and caring and you know, stability and
- 7:09Speaker 3: you know, an open mind to resolution and arguments and
- 7:13Speaker 3: all those things that Kim seemingly had. But I still
- 7:18Speaker 3: was not chemistryally attracted to him. So I had to
- 7:22Speaker 3: really take a look at myself and go, what the
- 7:23Speaker 3: hell is wrong with me? Like, I look back on
- 7:26Speaker 3: my relationships that were all chemistry, and I think that
- 7:30Speaker 3: was the first thing that I thought different about Gary
- 7:33Speaker 3: was I didn't have so much chemistry, but I really
- 7:36Speaker 3: loved him as a human, you know, and of somebody
- 7:38Speaker 3: that I could see being a good, stable, interesting man
- 7:42Speaker 3: in my life. So anyway, it really made me look
- 7:44Speaker 3: at it. And that was that turning point on VIP
- 7:47Speaker 3: where we were going to Bailey and Jeremy and pleading
- 7:51Speaker 3: a case, and my case was choose whoever you want,
- 7:53Speaker 3: because I've had so much fun and I'm good to
- 7:55Speaker 3: go home. But the truth of it is, I really
- 7:58Speaker 3: do want to explore this and see where I met
- 8:01Speaker 3: with that, and so we really kind of tried it
- 8:03Speaker 3: on and just allowed ourselves to just enjoy each other's company.
- 8:07Speaker 3: We had so much fun. We got along really great.
- 8:10Speaker 3: And then you know, when we went home for a
- 8:13Speaker 3: short period of time, that's when we had filmed us
- 8:16Speaker 3: singing in the kitchen and we were around my family
- 8:18Speaker 3: and all that. Then we went back to Paradise, and
- 8:22Speaker 3: so you know the bottom line was when we left
- 8:26Speaker 3: and I got home and back to my life, did
- 8:29Speaker 3: I crave seeing him? Did I? You know, we talked
- 8:32Speaker 3: a ton, but he kept saying, shul I come out
- 8:35Speaker 3: and see you. And I had told him, you know,
- 8:37Speaker 3: long ago, I have gigs every single weekend. I'm busy
- 8:40Speaker 3: Friday Saturday. Like, I don't know how to even fit
- 8:43Speaker 3: you in. Even if I was Maddalie in love with them,
- 8:46Speaker 3: I seriously wouldn't have been able to fit him in.
- 8:48Speaker 3: I said, I can't even think about anything till like August,
- 8:52Speaker 3: and so, you know, and then I had to just
- 8:54Speaker 3: admit to myself, you know, I don't miss him. I don't.
- 8:58Speaker 3: I mean, if he happened to be in town, I'd say, yes,
- 9:00Speaker 3: let's go to coffee or to dinner and I want
- 9:02Speaker 3: to get a big hug from you, but it just
- 9:04Speaker 3: didn't feel like that kind of relationship that I wanted
- 9:07Speaker 3: to build a life with. Right, So I was like,
- 9:11Speaker 3: we know that, right, you know that? And he's like, yeah,
- 9:14Speaker 3: I get it. It's been that way all along with you,
- 9:16Speaker 3: you know, and he's like, you know, he was in
- 9:18Speaker 3: life with me too, but you know, we just kind
- 9:20Speaker 3: of knew we weren't each other's person and so we
- 9:24Speaker 3: stayed friends. And yeah, so that's basically the story of Kim.
- 9:29Speaker 1: So yeah, I think it's great.
- 9:31Speaker 2: I mean, I think that it's wonderful that you allowed
- 9:34Speaker 2: yourself to just have fun and enjoy that relationship. It
- 9:38Speaker 2: didn't need to be labeled anything. You know, you could
- 9:42Speaker 2: just enjoy yourself and be happy. And I know, I
- 9:45Speaker 2: feel like you've said in past shows that you've just
- 9:49Speaker 2: been lonely, you know, and you've wanted, you've craved that
- 9:53Speaker 2: sort of connection and relationship, and I think good for
- 9:59Speaker 2: you for real that it wasn't what you needed, so
- 10:02Speaker 2: you just needed to move on, you know.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:06Speaker 2: So okay, so flash forward to the present day, where
- 10:13Speaker 2: your life has changed a little bit since since saying
- 10:16Speaker 2: goodbye to Kim. You recently hard launched your boyfriend. I
- 10:21Speaker 2: do social media, So give us the give.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Us the scoop. What's his name? How did you guys meet?
- 10:27Speaker 1: Tell us the story?
- 10:28Speaker 3: Okay, so after Kim, you know, I, you know, the
- 10:32Speaker 3: thing that I've always sat with is I love the
- 10:36Speaker 3: life there I've created for myself. So it has to
- 10:40Speaker 3: be something more that adds to it that I you know,
- 10:43Speaker 3: if you can get me, you know, if I want
- 10:45Speaker 3: to be with you more than I want to do
- 10:47Speaker 3: my my normal stuff, then that means something. Right. So,
- 10:52Speaker 3: as a lot of people know, I am not a
- 10:54Speaker 3: good winter person and I have a really hard time
- 10:57Speaker 3: being in cold weather. Last year I spent all winter
- 10:59Speaker 3: in Arizona with my horses and stuff. I like to
- 11:01Speaker 3: stay active. I went, I don't like cold weather. I
- 11:03Speaker 3: should be living in California. But anyway, so I thought, well,
- 11:07Speaker 3: I'm just gonna have a distraction in shop for men
- 11:10Speaker 3: on match dot com. So I joined match. But anybody
- 11:15Speaker 3: that's done that notes after about two weeks you're like,
- 11:18Speaker 3: oh my god, I can't do this. This is just ridiculous, right,
- 11:21Speaker 3: So I was like, I can't do this. It's overwhelming.
- 11:25Speaker 3: And you know, it's like, once you get to the
- 11:28Speaker 3: point where you're actually going to have to travel to
- 11:30Speaker 3: meet someone, I'm like, man, I don't think I want
- 11:32Speaker 3: to do that, you know. I just I just wasn't
- 11:33Speaker 3: into anybody that I was talking to. So I unsubscribed.
- 11:37Speaker 3: I think I did a three month Members of the
- 11:39Speaker 3: Ship or a six month I don't know what it was.
- 11:41Speaker 3: And I unsubscribed, I canceled and I left it at that. Well,
- 11:47Speaker 3: then my notifications on it just all day long, beat
- 11:49Speaker 3: beat pep, and I was like, oh, for god's sake,
- 11:51Speaker 3: I need to delete the icon, you know, like actually
- 11:55Speaker 3: delete the app. I don't know how to. I'm not
- 11:58Speaker 3: good at that. So I went to delete it, and
- 12:00Speaker 3: of course it opened up because I didn't hold it
- 12:02Speaker 3: long enough to delete. It opened up and there was
- 12:05Speaker 3: this message and it was this guy and he's like,
- 12:08Speaker 3: oh my god, am I going to have to move
- 12:10Speaker 3: to Bedon City? You're a horse girl? And so I
- 12:13Speaker 3: looked at his picture and I'm like, he looks actually
- 12:15Speaker 3: kind of cute. So I read a little bit about
- 12:17Speaker 3: him and I said, yes, move here this week, which
- 12:21Speaker 3: you said we can ride on the weekend. And he's
- 12:23Speaker 3: like I'm headed out, you know. So we chated a
- 12:26Speaker 3: little bit and I said, you know what, I got
- 12:29Speaker 3: to tell you, this is really brave of me, but
- 12:31Speaker 3: I already hate the site, like I don't want to
- 12:33Speaker 3: be on the site. Here's my phone number, call me
- 12:35Speaker 3: if you're interested. So a few days later he texta'd
- 12:38Speaker 3: like to call you. So anyway, we just started talking.
- 12:41Speaker 3: We talked a ton, and then we met halfway at
- 12:43Speaker 3: Maryhill Winery and we spent like five hours in the
- 12:46Speaker 3: winery and I was like, oh my gosh, like you know,
- 12:51Speaker 3: I just really really liked him. And so then we
- 12:53Speaker 3: talked to a ton and then we decided to get
- 12:55Speaker 3: together again. And then like out of the blue, I said,
- 12:58Speaker 3: I'm going up to Seattle to spend Thanksgiving with my kids.
- 13:04Speaker 3: Do you want? And he's like yes, and so he
- 13:08Speaker 3: came to Seattle. We hung out with for Thanksgiving, and anyway,
- 13:12Speaker 3: this has just gone up. We've just been inseparable, so
- 13:15Speaker 3: I have since we trying to figure out how to
- 13:18Speaker 3: extend stays at each other's homes. But we both have horses,
- 13:23Speaker 3: so it's like it's easier for us to just both
- 13:25Speaker 3: stayed his house for a while. Then I have a
- 13:28Speaker 3: lot of music gigs during the spring and summer, so
- 13:30Speaker 3: and then we're going to live at my house. And
- 13:31Speaker 3: but anyway, so I've been living in Vancouver with him,
- 13:35Speaker 3: and we have all four horses together. My dogs are here.
- 13:38Speaker 3: I'm loving Vancouver, like I think we will settle here.
- 13:42Speaker 1: And I love it.
- 13:43Speaker 3: Yeah, and so eventually we'll settle here after I'm kind
- 13:47Speaker 3: of done with tricities. And that's a hard one for
- 13:49Speaker 3: me because I have, you know, so much going on there.
- 13:52Speaker 3: But yeah, great guy. I'm happy. He's so much like me,
- 13:58Speaker 3: and all the better parts me so and in the
- 14:03Speaker 3: parts that I'm glad he's not like me, he is
- 14:05Speaker 3: way better and just kind of evens me out and
- 14:09Speaker 3: some things. And so he's got horses, he loves dogs,
- 14:13Speaker 3: he's you know, he's kind of you know, he's had children,
- 14:17Speaker 3: which was important to me too for people to have
- 14:19Speaker 3: raised kids. And yeah, so he's still working for a
- 14:22Speaker 3: couple of years till he retires. But he also plays
- 14:25Speaker 3: a little guitar. So he gets me musically how I'm
- 14:28Speaker 3: so driven with music. And he, you know, he's very
- 14:32Speaker 3: passionate about his horses and likes to do all the
- 14:35Speaker 3: things and He makes me laugh so hard that I
- 14:37Speaker 3: haven't laughed so so fun. Yeah, so yeah, so important, really.
- 14:44Speaker 1: Good, amazing. I'm so happy for you and for him,
- 14:48Speaker 1: for both of you. What's his name? Are you not well?
- 14:52Speaker 3: I mean, I guess it's okay. You know what that
- 14:54Speaker 3: post that I put out, you know, I put because
- 14:57Speaker 3: so many women I wanted everybody to know, don't settle,
- 15:00Speaker 3: really hold out for what feels really right, you know. Anyway,
- 15:04Speaker 3: it got over a million views and it so people know.
- 15:08Speaker 3: I guess. So his name Sabered, Sabred Lukas. Yeah, that's interesting,
- 15:14Speaker 3: that interesting name, Sabered.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Yeah, that is I've never heard that before. No, I
- 15:18Speaker 1: love it.
- 15:19Speaker 2: You guys look so happy in your cute videos with
- 15:22Speaker 2: your horses. I mean, logistically, how do you get a
- 15:25Speaker 2: horse across Canadian border?
- 15:27Speaker 3: Is it? We're in Vancouver. We're in Vancouver, Washington, but
- 15:31Speaker 3: I know he's about three hours and forty minutes from
- 15:36Speaker 3: Tri Cities, and so I just hauled my nices over
- 15:40Speaker 3: and then we're only two and a half hours from Seattle.
- 15:43Speaker 3: So I'm in the Vancouver, Washington area, just about twenty
- 15:46Speaker 3: five minutes outside Portland.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Got it? Thank you?
- 15:49Speaker 2: I am very geographically challenged, So thank you for that.
- 15:53Speaker 3: Yeah, no worries, No, it's good.
- 15:55Speaker 2: Okay, So did he watch the show? Did he watch
- 15:58Speaker 2: you on Golden bashl.
- 15:59Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh, said that was scary. So when we
- 16:01Speaker 3: were talking on match, I said, so, what's your last name?
- 16:04Speaker 3: Because I of course wanted to google him, right, And
- 16:07Speaker 3: then he goes, what's yours? You know? And then I said, well,
- 16:10Speaker 3: so there's this thing. I said, I'm going to google
- 16:14Speaker 3: you because that's what women do for that's what we
- 16:17Speaker 3: need to do for safety. He goes understood, and I said,
- 16:20Speaker 3: but do you really need to google me? And he goes, well,
- 16:23Speaker 3: I thought I would, And I go, well, can you
- 16:25Speaker 3: hold off on that a little bit? And he's like, well,
- 16:29Speaker 3: I guess. I go. It's just I'm kind of at
- 16:31Speaker 3: an unfair disadvantage because you're going to see a bunch
- 16:35Speaker 3: of stuff about me that I really would like a
- 16:37Speaker 3: little opportunity to explain before you has seen me making
- 16:41Speaker 3: out with the guy on a yacht and all that.
- 16:44Speaker 3: So anyway, so then I finally told him I went
- 16:47Speaker 3: on a reality show and blah blah blah. Of course,
- 16:49Speaker 3: when he got together with his daughter, he went to
- 16:51Speaker 3: visit his daughter and she's like, what, we got to
- 16:54Speaker 3: watch this. So they watched the first episode together and
- 16:57Speaker 3: then I was like, please don't want please, don't want
- 16:59Speaker 3: you anything.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Watch the rest. They haven't watched the they've only watched one.
- 17:02Speaker 3: They only watched one. But then we watched part of
- 17:05Speaker 3: it together. I say, can I let you watch it
- 17:07Speaker 3: and I'll explain a little.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a good way to do it, that's the heart.
- 17:13Speaker 3: It's really hard. And then we have not watched BP
- 17:16Speaker 3: and I said, there's no reason for you you don't watch,
- 17:20Speaker 3: just don't watch, you know, I said, I don't know
- 17:22Speaker 3: that it's a healthy thing for you to see me,
- 17:24Speaker 3: you know, kissing other men and stuff. You know, it's
- 17:28Speaker 3: a weird thing to do that. You know, you are
- 17:31Speaker 3: together with the guy on that, you know, so for
- 17:34Speaker 3: you that worked out fun.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it's good.
- 17:36Speaker 2: But I can say, like if the show came back on,
- 17:40Speaker 2: you know, if they aired it again, I don't know.
- 17:43Speaker 1: That we'd be watching it.
- 17:44Speaker 2: It is just awkward, even though we'd been married for
- 17:47Speaker 2: twenty three years, you know, like it just is.
- 17:50Speaker 1: It's just a weird, a weird thing. So I totally understand.
- 17:53Speaker 3: Yeah, well, especially I'm like, that's like me peering in
- 17:56Speaker 3: on all your old dates, you know, yeah, and it's different.
- 18:00Speaker 3: And we weren't our best selves on that show. I
- 18:02Speaker 3: admittedly was not my best self on that show. I'm
- 18:08Speaker 3: not on Bachelor. I was a mess. That was a
- 18:10Speaker 3: oh it was it was hard. It was hard and
- 18:14Speaker 3: even this is so what's weird? We ended up watching
- 18:17Speaker 3: you know, Golden Bachelor together and I cried again. He's like,
- 18:21Speaker 3: do you still have feelings for Gary? And I'm like,
- 18:24Speaker 3: I'm not gonna lie. I will always have feelings for Gary.
- 18:28Speaker 3: I just do. But I don't want to be married
- 18:30Speaker 3: to him. I don't want him to be my guy,
- 18:33Speaker 3: but I do. I get all choked up still. I
- 18:37Speaker 3: I just always will love Gary, like you know, like
- 18:42Speaker 3: that well.
- 18:42Speaker 2: And heartbreak is hard, Yeah, break is hard, you know,
- 18:46Speaker 2: getting over that, it's not it's not something that you
- 18:49Speaker 2: necessarily need to get over. If you are with someone
- 18:51Speaker 2: who's an understanding partner and they know that you're you're
- 18:54Speaker 2: never gonna be with Gary, you don't want them. You
- 18:57Speaker 2: don't want Gary over them.
- 18:59Speaker 3: You know that, you know, and I knew you know
- 19:02Speaker 3: when I was compelled to tell Gary, I can't leave
- 19:06Speaker 3: tri Cities. Part of it was because of my doubt.
- 19:09Speaker 3: All of a sudden, I wasn't sure, even though my
- 19:11Speaker 3: feelings for him were so strong, I just felt like,
- 19:15Speaker 3: oh my gosh, I can't see myself doing it. All
- 19:17Speaker 3: of a sudden, I had to say, I want to
- 19:18Speaker 3: stay here, but had he come there would We weren't
- 19:22Speaker 3: right for each other, and I think at some level
- 19:24Speaker 3: I knew that, but that didn't keep me from feeling
- 19:27Speaker 3: gut wrenching and then knowing that he chose out too
- 19:31Speaker 3: was still hard. I second guessed everything. I mean, that
- 19:33Speaker 3: was it was crazy. It was a crazy show.
- 19:37Speaker 2: But I think that's when you know it's not meant
- 19:39Speaker 2: to be if you're second guessing everything, right, you're not
- 19:42Speaker 2: second guessing things right now? You know? Did you in
- 19:47Speaker 2: past relationships that were successful?
- 19:49Speaker 3: You know?
- 19:50Speaker 2: I don't think that's a thing like if you're in
- 19:52Speaker 2: a relationship that you're meant to be in. I think
- 19:55Speaker 2: that's when you know. That's how That's why people say
- 19:58Speaker 2: you know when you know it's true because you're not
- 20:01Speaker 2: second guessing it.
- 20:02Speaker 3: Yeah, you just know. I packed up my stuff and
- 20:05Speaker 3: moved here pretty much, not all of my stuff, but
- 20:07Speaker 3: enough for you know, a few months and yeah, that's right. Yeah,
- 20:11Speaker 3: and it just feels right.
- 20:13Speaker 1: Okay, have your sons met him? And how are they?
- 20:17Speaker 3: Do?
- 20:17Speaker 1: They all get along? You get a lot cake rate.
- 20:21Speaker 2: The family is all including, you know, all inclusive.
- 20:27Speaker 3: Not a lot of my friends have met him yet,
- 20:30Speaker 3: just because we ended up back here and stuff. And
- 20:32Speaker 3: I have a gig coming up on the twenty fourth,
- 20:34Speaker 3: so a bunch of people I'm sure will come and
- 20:35Speaker 3: meet him.
- 20:47Speaker 2: Okay, So what do you think about this, this relationship
- 20:50Speaker 2: that makes.
- 20:50Speaker 1: It work well?
- 20:51Speaker 3: For one thing, our life that are very much the same.
- 20:56Speaker 3: I think both of us are more willing to live
- 20:58Speaker 3: small so that we can and have acreage. Like both
- 21:01Speaker 3: of us have little teeny tiny houses on big land
- 21:05Speaker 3: because we love to ride. And you know, we've been
- 21:07Speaker 3: doctoring horses all week. It's just a priority. You know,
- 21:11Speaker 3: my horse is my animals. I love to do that.
- 21:14Speaker 3: Then he gets me musically, which is really important. I
- 21:17Speaker 3: don't know that Gary ever would have, but he's a
- 21:19Speaker 3: total music fan. He plays guitar. He's never been a performer,
- 21:23Speaker 3: but he plays enough to know and understand the depth
- 21:27Speaker 3: of what drives me to sit there for nine hours
- 21:31Speaker 3: and go over a song that I want to sing
- 21:32Speaker 3: in my next gig, you know, So he gets that
- 21:35Speaker 3: we share very much the same sense of humor. Politically
- 21:40Speaker 3: we're aligned, which I think is really in today's world,
- 21:44Speaker 3: it would be very difficult if you weren't, right. So
- 21:47Speaker 3: politically we're aligned. And then family, family comes first for us,
- 21:51Speaker 3: so our kids are really really important. And yeah, I
- 21:55Speaker 3: don't know. We just are very much in tune with
- 21:58Speaker 3: what we do in our every day. And I think
- 22:01Speaker 3: also we really enjoy each other's companies, so we have
- 22:05Speaker 3: fun together. We have the same sense of humor. I mean,
- 22:08Speaker 3: I have never laughed as much in my whole entire
- 22:11Speaker 3: life as I have laughed since I've been with him.
- 22:14Speaker 3: So the fact that we get each other's weird humor
- 22:17Speaker 3: is just so fun. So yeah, I think so important.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that's probably if I had to give
- 22:25Speaker 2: advice to people, that would be one of the things
- 22:27Speaker 2: I'd say to look for someone who makes you laugh.
- 22:29Speaker 3: Yeah, And the chemistry is completely there. I find him,
- 22:33Speaker 3: you know, not just intellectually appealing, but physically and sexually
- 22:39Speaker 3: and you know, charismatically appealing to me. And so you know,
- 22:43Speaker 3: and that's hard as we get older. You know, when
- 22:45Speaker 3: you look at you're like, you know, but yeah, I
- 22:49Speaker 3: just I like who he is. He's very tender, very sweet,
- 22:52Speaker 3: very kind, very patient. You know, he does not have
- 22:56Speaker 3: an angry edge to him. He's just very mild but
- 23:03Speaker 3: yet cute and sexy. He loves to dance, he likes
- 23:06Speaker 3: to sing, he's you know, he likes to ride horses.
- 23:09Speaker 3: He loves my dog.
- 23:10Speaker 1: I mean, he's a catch.
- 23:11Speaker 3: He's a catch. He is. He really is, or seems
- 23:15Speaker 3: to me he should be, you know, he seems to be.
- 23:18Speaker 3: That's the thing. It's like, how long does it take
- 23:20Speaker 3: to really get to know someone? You know? Everybody starts
- 23:23Speaker 3: out going, oh this is great. You know. So he
- 23:26Speaker 3: always says I love you so much, and I always
- 23:28Speaker 3: say you say that now, But he's like, he's like
- 23:31Speaker 3: ten ten years from now, you're going to be saying
- 23:34Speaker 3: that because I always say that, Oh you say that now.
- 23:36Speaker 3: He's like, I find you so attractive, and I'm like,
- 23:38Speaker 3: you say that now, But when my booths are down
- 23:40Speaker 3: to here and my hair is completely gray because they're
- 23:44Speaker 3: on their way right.
- 23:46Speaker 1: Oh yes?
- 23:49Speaker 2: Is there anything that you have learned about yourself in
- 23:53Speaker 2: this new relationship?
- 23:55Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, I've just been contemplating the difficult wholeness I
- 24:01Speaker 3: have over really letting love in, really believing it, really
- 24:06Speaker 3: trusting it. And I always say, there's no guarantees, you know,
- 24:09Speaker 3: there's just not any guarantees. So you know, we both
- 24:13Speaker 3: may feel this way right now, but what if three
- 24:15Speaker 3: months from now we don't feel this way, you know?
- 24:18Speaker 3: And He's like, I absolutely know, and you know, you
- 24:20Speaker 3: feel like you absolutely know. But I just it is
- 24:23Speaker 3: interesting for me too. I've noticed just how easy it
- 24:28Speaker 3: is for me to always discount things that are so
- 24:31Speaker 3: great because I'm like, ah, he feels that way now.
- 24:34Speaker 3: But you know, just because of that, you know, life
- 24:37Speaker 3: is always full of surprises and it is very, very
- 24:40Speaker 3: scary to trust in it. So I definitely am trying
- 24:44Speaker 3: to let myself enjoy it and really feel the moment
- 24:48Speaker 3: instead of, you know, kind of pushing it away a
- 24:52Speaker 3: little bit. Also that I've learned that, you know, I've
- 24:55Speaker 3: been living on my own for so long, and it
- 25:00Speaker 3: is you know, it's a challenge. I feel like twenty
- 25:03Speaker 3: twenty six of the year where you got to decide
- 25:06Speaker 3: are we breaking old patterns? Are we going for not
- 25:10Speaker 3: what's just comfortable? Because if I do that. I'm just
- 25:14Speaker 3: going to be back doing the same things I've always
- 25:17Speaker 3: done in the Tri Cities, playing music, spending every weekend alone,
- 25:20Speaker 3: doing you know, my own things, which I enjoy, but
- 25:22Speaker 3: being on my own or do I really allow myself
- 25:25Speaker 3: to open up to new challenges some discomfort in adjusting
- 25:29Speaker 3: to living in somebody else's home, to having someone in
- 25:31Speaker 3: my space twenty four to seven, that kind of thing.
- 25:34Speaker 3: So those are thoughts that have kind of gone through
- 25:36Speaker 3: my mind. You know, I don't want to jump too
- 25:40Speaker 3: fast in anything and make anything permanent permanent just because
- 25:44Speaker 3: I'm always going well what if you know? What if? Is?
- 25:48Speaker 3: What if that? You know? So, yeah, those are interesting
- 25:51Speaker 3: perspectives that I am enlightened by every day. With faith,
- 25:55Speaker 3: you know, where's your trust level on? You know that
- 25:58Speaker 3: just because you got to kind of go for stuff,
- 26:01Speaker 3: but you also have to sort of tread lightly because
- 26:05Speaker 3: you've got to know if things don't work out, I
- 26:07Speaker 3: don't want to have sold my house or you know.
- 26:09Speaker 1: Yeah, rightly, be realistic.
- 26:12Speaker 3: Yeah, realistic. Yeah, I think you.
- 26:14Speaker 1: Can be both.
- 26:14Speaker 2: I think you can be romantic and had heartstrong and
- 26:19Speaker 2: also you know, be realistic and headstrong.
- 26:21Speaker 1: So it's all good.
- 26:23Speaker 2: You do you Yeah, you touched on this a little bit,
- 26:27Speaker 2: but you wrote a post with your boyfriend, and I
- 26:31Speaker 2: want to read that just for all the all of
- 26:33Speaker 2: the people, not including the million views who haven't read
- 26:38Speaker 2: it yet, because I do think it is so important
- 26:41Speaker 2: and I have said this for so long to do
- 26:44Speaker 2: the same thing. So I'll get into that. But this
- 26:47Speaker 2: is what Faith said in her post. To all the
- 26:49Speaker 2: women who think they can't bear the loneliness of being
- 26:52Speaker 2: by themselves and end up settling with a partner that's
- 26:56Speaker 2: not quite their right person, I'm here to tell you
- 26:59Speaker 2: it's worth the way to hold out for the one
- 27:01Speaker 2: who is everything to you. I just love that it
- 27:05Speaker 2: is so true. Never settle, no matter what your age,
- 27:09Speaker 2: no matter what your past relationship experiences have been. I
- 27:15Speaker 2: think it is so important, and I tell my kids
- 27:18Speaker 2: this all the time. Don't settle just because you feel
- 27:21Speaker 2: like you know, you're having a good time and you're happy.
- 27:25Speaker 2: And you know, before Blake's Lee had a boyfriend, she's sixteen.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Now you know, I'm like, don't lower your standards just
- 27:34Speaker 2: because you feel like you want to have a boyfriend
- 27:36Speaker 2: like your other friends like, never lower your standards.
- 27:40Speaker 1: Never settle.
- 27:42Speaker 2: Always hold true to what you value as important, because
- 27:46Speaker 2: then you're going to at least have a better chance
- 27:51Speaker 2: of happiness than if you settle just for somebody who's there.
- 27:56Speaker 2: Then you are discounting your ability to be happy and
- 28:01Speaker 2: not giving yourself that chance. So I love that you
- 28:05Speaker 2: said that. I thought all of those words were so important.
- 28:08Speaker 2: And since you've had a million views of that, have
- 28:11Speaker 2: you had a lot of people kind of come out
- 28:14Speaker 2: of the woodwork and comment and reach out to you.
- 28:17Speaker 3: So many people. It's funny because that was that was
- 28:21Speaker 3: not a really thought out thing that I said. It
- 28:26Speaker 3: was an instant feeling, and it took me about three
- 28:28Speaker 3: seconds to write it, and it was kind of like,
- 28:32Speaker 3: I'm going to put this song because we were having
- 28:33Speaker 3: so fun, so much fun that night, and I just
- 28:36Speaker 3: was so in that moment, so happy that I found
- 28:40Speaker 3: someone that really shares my passions about things that I
- 28:43Speaker 3: am really passionate about. With the horses, and we can
- 28:45Speaker 3: go horse camping and traveling, we can do music, you know,
- 28:48Speaker 3: all those things. We're just really enjoying that. Where so
- 28:51Speaker 3: many people that I've dated, they may have great things
- 28:54Speaker 3: going on, but they're not really things that I can
- 28:57Speaker 3: relate to so much, or vice versa. So I wrote
- 29:00Speaker 3: that so quickly and threw it up there, like, I
- 29:03Speaker 3: guess the world's going to know we're dating, you know,
- 29:05Speaker 3: That's kind of all I thought about. And then it
- 29:06Speaker 3: just had boom boom boom and literally thousands and thousands
- 29:11Speaker 3: of messages and you know, just it. It'll make me
- 29:13Speaker 3: cry to talk about it. But I'm like the love
- 29:18Speaker 3: that pours out of people like faith, we are so
- 29:22Speaker 3: happy for you. You deserve this all this stuff. And
- 29:24Speaker 3: I'm like, oh, is it that total strangers care about
- 29:28Speaker 3: my heart? You know? I mean, it's so nice, it's
- 29:32Speaker 3: so kind, And I think that that is the most
- 29:35Speaker 3: beautiful thing that came from being on the Golden Bachelor,
- 29:38Speaker 3: is that you find that complete and total strangers that
- 29:43Speaker 3: went through that journey with you and really did care
- 29:45Speaker 3: about your heart and they're just so happy that I
- 29:48Speaker 3: found someone. So for them to just sit down, grab
- 29:52Speaker 3: their phone write a little message to me, I'm like,
- 29:54Speaker 3: it is so sweet, and it's like that I want
- 29:59Speaker 3: to let sink that they're no matter how crazy the
- 30:02Speaker 3: world seems, the people really care about love and they
- 30:06Speaker 3: want other people to be happy. And you know the
- 30:08Speaker 3: people that followed that journey, and just you know, I
- 30:11Speaker 3: think no matter who it is, we all love love, right,
- 30:14Speaker 3: it's what we all want, we want we'll be happy
- 30:17Speaker 3: for the people that have it and and want to
- 30:21Speaker 3: help enjoy that with them. So I just so appreciated
- 30:24Speaker 3: how people, you know, wrote me all these messages and
- 30:27Speaker 3: they were so happy and they're still coming. It's like
- 30:30Speaker 3: every post and there, you know, people just comment all
- 30:32Speaker 3: the time and they're just happy about it. So I'm
- 30:35Speaker 3: glad because I think a lot of people cried that
- 30:39Speaker 3: it didn't work out with me and Gary, you know,
- 30:41Speaker 3: and then they were hopeful with me and Kim. But
- 30:43Speaker 3: I'm like, no, I hated it that everybody thought we
- 30:46Speaker 3: were totally together when we weren't in that way. So
- 30:49Speaker 3: I had to I went on and finally said, no,
- 30:51Speaker 3: we're not each other person and we care about each other,
- 30:53Speaker 3: but that's it. And both Gary and Kim know about
- 30:56Speaker 3: Sabert also, so we poppable about that. And there they
- 31:00Speaker 3: were all so happy. You know Gary, you know, Gary
- 31:02Speaker 3: and I have talked and so Kim and I and
- 31:04Speaker 3: he's like, oh, that's so great, I'm so happy for you.
- 31:06Speaker 3: So yeah, it's really sweet.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Well that's sweet.
- 31:10Speaker 2: Do you still like how how do you stay in touch? Like,
- 31:13Speaker 2: are you guys getting on the phone or have you
- 31:16Speaker 2: seen each other?
- 31:16Speaker 3: Usually it's a text, you know, Gary and I will
- 31:18Speaker 3: text every now and then. I'm so happy for him.
- 31:21Speaker 3: He really found a great person. It seems like, I mean,
- 31:24Speaker 3: they look alike almost right, so we totally do. Yeah, yeah,
- 31:28Speaker 3: it's like brother and sister. But anyway, they're doing really well.
- 31:31Speaker 3: And I don't hope Kim's not dating anybody yet. But
- 31:35Speaker 3: we texted, you know, quite often for a while, but
- 31:38Speaker 3: he is the last time I heard from him, he
- 31:40Speaker 3: just texted and said congratulations. I'm so happy for you.
- 31:42Speaker 3: So we stay in touch and Gary, you know, for
- 31:45Speaker 3: holidays and stuff. I'll always hear from Gary. And I
- 31:47Speaker 3: stay in touch with some of the girls. Not as
- 31:49Speaker 3: much as I used to, but like I just talked
- 31:51Speaker 3: texted with Leslie the other day and Theresa and you know, so, yeah.
- 31:56Speaker 1: That's awesome.
- 31:57Speaker 2: You mentioned all this positive commenting outreach to your social media.
- 32:05Speaker 2: Have you dealt with any negative.
- 32:08Speaker 3: Yeah, very little. I think I've had two or maybe one,
- 32:12Speaker 3: or I'm thinking of one in particular right now. But
- 32:15Speaker 3: I think in the past during the Golder Bachelor season,
- 32:17Speaker 3: I think there was two and then there was one
- 32:21Speaker 3: not too long ago. And it's funny because, for one thing,
- 32:25Speaker 3: it makes me sad for people, because I'm thinking, what
- 32:29Speaker 3: is wrong in your life that you would want to
- 32:33Speaker 3: go out of your way to be mean? And it
- 32:36Speaker 3: would be something like you're ugly. Your face is like that,
- 32:39Speaker 3: you look like you're eighty years old, and I'm like, yeah,
- 32:41Speaker 3: sometimes I do look like this, and sometimes and like
- 32:45Speaker 3: or somebody to go, I hate the way you sing,
- 32:47Speaker 3: and I'm like, sometimes I hate the way I sing.
- 32:49Speaker 3: I mean, it's like it's okay. But the point that
- 32:52Speaker 3: you're trying to hurt me is what's really interesting here.
- 32:56Speaker 3: You know, did you want my attention because you mean things?
- 33:00Speaker 3: But yet you're still on my page. So if you
- 33:03Speaker 3: really hated me and you didn't want the attention, why
- 33:06Speaker 3: would you go out of your way to reach out?
- 33:08Speaker 3: You know, do you need to talk? You know what's wrong?
- 33:12Speaker 3: But because you know, like who, I never said I
- 33:15Speaker 3: look perfect all the time, nor do I claim to
- 33:18Speaker 3: or you know, it's like, yep, bad lighting. Maybe maybe
- 33:20Speaker 3: my skin really does look like it's eight years old.
- 33:22Speaker 3: I don't know. Probably, I'm really I never took care
- 33:25Speaker 3: of it, but the point being, why would you be
- 33:28Speaker 3: so rude? What's wrong in your life? So, you know,
- 33:30Speaker 3: I think being in the public that you get used
- 33:34Speaker 3: to a little of that. And I always say, well,
- 33:36Speaker 3: I don't have any problem losing followers or friends. I
- 33:40Speaker 3: don't make my living doing this. It's like an online
- 33:43Speaker 3: photo album for me. I don't care how many friends
- 33:46Speaker 3: I have or don't have on social media. So I
- 33:49Speaker 3: don't have a problem blocking you. If you're going to
- 33:51Speaker 3: be a rude person, go away, you know so.
- 33:54Speaker 2: But totally you know, yeah, no, I'm glad that a
- 33:57Speaker 2: majority is positive for you. I feel like the same
- 34:01Speaker 2: goes for me. But there's always those one or two
- 34:05Speaker 2: people like you said, who just they just want to
- 34:10Speaker 2: waste their time making your day, Like like, I don't understand.
- 34:16Speaker 1: Yeah, it has never made sense.
- 34:18Speaker 3: They said, you have really ugly big cheeks, and I said, oh, well,
- 34:24Speaker 3: I you know, like there is no filler in my face,
- 34:27Speaker 3: there is no boatoks in my face. So basically you're
- 34:29Speaker 3: saying that my parents, you know, made an ugly baby. Okay,
- 34:34Speaker 3: that's your opinion. I try to do with what I have,
- 34:37Speaker 3: you know, but not that I haven't done bowtoks and
- 34:40Speaker 3: stuff in the past, but it's been years, you know.
- 34:42Speaker 3: And I just have really high cheek bones and the
- 34:45Speaker 3: arrow and when I sign all they get really puffy.
- 34:47Speaker 3: So but then later I look at Saber and I go,
- 34:50Speaker 3: do I have chip my cheeks? Have I gained weight?
- 34:52Speaker 3: You know? And I'm like, He's like, don't don't even
- 34:54Speaker 3: let them Bobby, Oh.
- 34:55Speaker 1: No, no, no, yeah, don't you know.
- 34:57Speaker 3: It's like I have these you know, sagging face. But
- 35:00Speaker 3: I'm like, I'm not ready to cut up my face nor,
- 35:02Speaker 3: you know. So this is what I look like. And
- 35:05Speaker 3: I didn't say I look perfect.
- 35:07Speaker 2: So yes, when you keep going with that, you are
- 35:11Speaker 2: beautiful and whatever. If someone has a problem with it, yeah,
- 35:14Speaker 2: and they just need to remember that if your mom
- 35:17Speaker 2: didn't say, or your mom always said, if you don't
- 35:19Speaker 2: have anything nice to say, then don't say anything.
- 35:21Speaker 3: Yeah, Because what is it that people have to pick
- 35:24Speaker 3: on people that are on TV B because of the
- 35:27Speaker 3: way they look like It's not our responsibility to have
- 35:30Speaker 3: to look perfect for people. Why can't we just be healing,
- 35:33Speaker 3: Like I'm sixty almost sixty four, I can look how
- 35:36Speaker 3: I want leave me alone.
- 35:37Speaker 1: Ye, leave me alone. If you don't like my page,
- 35:40Speaker 1: then just leave.
- 35:41Speaker 2: Like that's what I don't understand, Like why do you
- 35:44Speaker 2: come to my page and actually follow me and actually
- 35:47Speaker 2: comment Like it makes no sense, it's weird.
- 35:51Speaker 1: Something doesn't make you happy, then don't go there.
- 35:53Speaker 3: Yes, I know it's so weird. Yeah, it's very bizarre.
- 36:08Speaker 1: Okay.
- 36:08Speaker 2: So we were talking about settling before, and it came
- 36:13Speaker 2: out recently in Gary's book that you and that he
- 36:17Speaker 2: had cold feet before the wedding and you guys talked
- 36:20Speaker 2: before the wedding and you gave him some advice. Can
- 36:24Speaker 2: you talk about that, like, how were you feeling when
- 36:26Speaker 2: the book came out? Tell us what that conversation looked
- 36:31Speaker 2: like and why you felt like compelled to.
- 36:34Speaker 1: Share that with him.
- 36:36Speaker 3: So I didn't read the book. I knew about the book,
- 36:39Speaker 3: I had not read it, but he did come to
- 36:42Speaker 3: me that night, and of course I said, don't do it.
- 36:48Speaker 3: Don't do it. Then, this is Teresa's life, this is
- 36:51Speaker 3: your life. Don't do it, Tristan, just between you and me,
- 36:55Speaker 3: because I don't know if I've ever told anybody this
- 36:58Speaker 3: except for Saber. That night, I really contemplated contemplated being
- 37:05Speaker 3: the one that stands up at the wedding and objects.
- 37:09Speaker 3: Can you imagine? I wanted to do it so badly,
- 37:13Speaker 3: and I thought my producer will kill.
- 37:15Speaker 1: Me, you know what I mean.
- 37:18Speaker 2: They would have, but they also would have been like, well,
- 37:21Speaker 2: this is a moment because you know they're your friends,
- 37:25Speaker 2: but they're also like producers of a television show.
- 37:29Speaker 3: Right, how the show would have gone.
- 37:32Speaker 2: Yes, there's a part of me that I remember being
- 37:35Speaker 2: in that bar. We were all in the bar, and right,
- 37:40Speaker 2: isn't that the night? Like I feel like we were
- 37:42Speaker 2: all I feel like I was there and for some reason,
- 37:45Speaker 2: I don't know if I was near you guys, like
- 37:47Speaker 2: I have a horrible memory, so I can't place this.
- 37:49Speaker 3: We were over in the corner and he was like,
- 37:52Speaker 3: I don't want to do it. I don't want to
- 37:55Speaker 3: do it. And he's like, I think I think I
- 37:58Speaker 3: got too wrapped up in the moment and I don't
- 38:01Speaker 3: think I should do it. And I was like, well,
- 38:03Speaker 3: don't do it, don't do it. He goes, I made
- 38:06Speaker 3: my bed. I did this to myself. I got to
- 38:08Speaker 3: do it, And I'm like, no, you don't, and you
- 38:10Speaker 3: should tell Teresa. And I should probably feel in the
- 38:13Speaker 3: same way. Don't do it, you know, don't do it.
- 38:15Speaker 3: So but then the hard thing was, and it's so
- 38:17Speaker 3: much more involved as you could probably imagine. I remember
- 38:21Speaker 3: the last time I saw you. I was in the
- 38:22Speaker 3: airport and I had COVID going home because I did
- 38:25Speaker 3: not sleep for about four days that I was there.
- 38:28Speaker 3: At the Golden wedding, I was trashed because I knew
- 38:32Speaker 3: way too much, and I sat up in bed, not
- 38:35Speaker 3: being able to sleep, and I went, oh my god,
- 38:37Speaker 3: I am living a soap opera on a TV show.
- 38:41Speaker 3: But it's the real soap opera that's going on that
- 38:44Speaker 3: nobody knows about that is far more disturbing than the
- 38:48Speaker 3: little soap opera that I'm in. It was so weird.
- 38:52Speaker 3: So then at the wedding, when the cameras are on
- 38:54Speaker 3: me and I'm crying, I'm crying for so many reasons.
- 38:58Speaker 3: I'm crying because the man I love is marrying a
- 39:00Speaker 3: woman that I'm not so sure he loves yet telling
- 39:03Speaker 3: her that he loves her. And I'm knowing Teresa well
- 39:07Speaker 3: enough to know this is never going to work between
- 39:10Speaker 3: the two. So those were my feelings going on. But
- 39:14Speaker 3: at the same time, there is always that different perspective
- 39:18Speaker 3: that they did commit to each other, that maybe they
- 39:20Speaker 3: thought in the moment they could really make this work.
- 39:22Speaker 3: It seems so genuine and so clear that they were
- 39:25Speaker 3: going to go forward, and I think both of them did.
- 39:28Speaker 3: And I also think that two things can be true
- 39:32Speaker 3: at the same time. I hear Teresa and how she
- 39:36Speaker 3: talks about it, I hear Gary and how he talks
- 39:39Speaker 3: about it. I think both are honestly telling their truth.
- 39:44Speaker 3: I think that's how they perceived it with their own lens,
- 39:47Speaker 3: their triggers. There what was going on in their lives. Scary,
- 39:51Speaker 3: huge thing to go through, and I love them both,
- 39:55Speaker 3: and I think they're both right, and they're both true
- 39:58Speaker 3: and justified in their fe feelings, both of them.
- 40:01Speaker 1: So totally agree.
- 40:03Speaker 2: I think you've I'm sure you've heard this, but there
- 40:05Speaker 2: are three sides to every story. You know, each person's
- 40:08Speaker 2: account and then the truth. So I think that you
- 40:12Speaker 2: know your truth is maybe a little bit different from
- 40:15Speaker 2: the actual truth, but it doesn't matter. It's all about
- 40:18Speaker 2: you know how you're feeling, and just do you You
- 40:22Speaker 2: know you've got to do you or else you're not
- 40:25Speaker 2: going to be happy. And maybe you're stealing that happiness
- 40:27Speaker 2: from somebody else. Do you have any regrets that you
- 40:31Speaker 2: didn't stand up at the wedding and say I you do?
- 40:36Speaker 3: Yeah, I do. It was one of those ones where
- 40:40Speaker 3: I kind of went, I need to speak up. I
- 40:42Speaker 3: want to do this. But at the same time, I thought,
- 40:44Speaker 3: it'll make a mess of everything. It'll make a mess
- 40:47Speaker 3: of everything, and I should just keep my mouth shut.
- 40:50Speaker 3: They put too much money into this wedding, and you know,
- 40:54Speaker 3: I should just shut up. But and then afterwards too,
- 40:58Speaker 3: after Gary's book came out, I had to Teresa and say,
- 41:02Speaker 3: I kept that from you because what could I have done?
- 41:07Speaker 3: I mean, what could I have done?
- 41:10Speaker 2: Yeah, that was my next question. If you had had
- 41:12Speaker 2: told anyone, including Teresa that he said that.
- 41:16Speaker 3: No. No, I actually had told one of my personal
- 41:19Speaker 3: producers at the time, but he said he agreed, Faith,
- 41:23Speaker 3: you got to keep your mouth shut, you know, I mean,
- 41:25Speaker 3: I don't think this is your business kind of a thing.
- 41:27Speaker 3: And I'm like, okay. But it was hard because it
- 41:30Speaker 3: would have made a mess. It would have made a
- 41:32Speaker 3: mess of the show. It would have thrown everything crazy,
- 41:35Speaker 3: and they would have had to have done a lot
- 41:36Speaker 3: of scrambling. But and then I couldn't tell Teresa. So
- 41:40Speaker 3: you know, when Teresa's confiding in me, and after the show,
- 41:44Speaker 3: you know, Teresa's confiding me, Gary's confiding me, and I
- 41:47Speaker 3: have to just sit there and go, oh my god.
- 41:49Speaker 3: I got to the point where I was like, I
- 41:50Speaker 3: can't talk to either one of you. I don't want
- 41:53Speaker 3: to be caught up in the middle of this. And
- 41:55Speaker 3: then you know, when the book came out, I had
- 41:57Speaker 3: to and everybody was telling me, you know, and I
- 42:00Speaker 3: was hearing all this stuff, and then Gary's you know,
- 42:03Speaker 3: kind of threw me under the bus. Faith told me
- 42:05Speaker 3: not to do it. I'm like, oh, for God's sake.
- 42:08Speaker 3: So then I called Teresa and I had to say, Teresa,
- 42:10Speaker 3: of course I had to keep that from you. But
- 42:12Speaker 3: what would have happened had I come to you? You know?
- 42:16Speaker 3: And so yeah, I don't know. Is it always the
- 42:20Speaker 3: right thing to speak up? I don't know. Would have
- 42:24Speaker 3: caused a lot of trouble, but maybe it would have
- 42:26Speaker 3: saved a little bit of a mess too in some ways.
- 42:29Speaker 3: So I guess we'll never know.
- 42:32Speaker 1: We'll never know.
- 42:32Speaker 2: And that's the reason that I'm going to tell you.
- 42:34Speaker 2: You can't live with regret. You know, I'm not your therapist,
- 42:37Speaker 2: but I feel like I you know, you just you
- 42:40Speaker 2: can't regret what you can't change, you know, like move forward.
- 42:45Speaker 2: They're both happy now, and I feel like that's what
- 42:48Speaker 2: you need to focus on.
- 42:50Speaker 3: Yes, and I think that they must have both learned
- 42:52Speaker 3: something from it and yeah, and they are happy and
- 42:56Speaker 3: you know, I mean thirty years from now, and I
- 42:58Speaker 3: really feel like I could at least fill my nuts.
- 43:01Speaker 3: I'd like to give more of the details, you know,
- 43:03Speaker 3: Inside edition. Inside Edition contacted me and they wanted this
- 43:07Speaker 3: scoop and I'm like, boy, how i'd love they did.
- 43:10Speaker 3: Oh yeah, no way, yeah, they said, after the book
- 43:13Speaker 3: came out, they wanted to know. And I said, boy,
- 43:15Speaker 3: what I would love to be able to tell you
- 43:18Speaker 3: every single detail, but you know what, I won't. I'm
- 43:21Speaker 3: going to keep my mouth shut. It's not my story
- 43:23Speaker 3: to tell. And I said, so, don't don't ask me again.
- 43:27Speaker 3: I'm not going to spill theos.
- 43:29Speaker 1: But no, no, all respect for that.
- 43:31Speaker 3: You know.
- 43:32Speaker 2: You say what you want to say and keep keep
- 43:34Speaker 2: whatever you want to keep private.
- 43:36Speaker 1: Have you met Gary's fiance.
- 43:38Speaker 3: I have not, but she seems lovely. She seems lovely.
- 43:43Speaker 3: I mean, could you know who knows, right, But she
- 43:46Speaker 3: really does seem lovely and they seem happy, and yeah,
- 43:49Speaker 3: I think it's really good. I don't think Teresa is
- 43:52Speaker 3: with anyone quite yet, but you know, maybe that's still
- 43:56Speaker 3: to come.
- 43:58Speaker 2: No, yeah, you never know. Do you want to get
- 44:01Speaker 2: married again? Would you consider being a fiance again?
- 44:05Speaker 3: So here's the interesting thing.
- 44:07Speaker 1: I as you.
- 44:09Speaker 3: Know, when I went on Golden Batchelor, I didn't know
- 44:11Speaker 3: people got engaged at the end. I know, I was
- 44:13Speaker 3: a really silly naive one. I had no idea. There
- 44:16Speaker 3: was a rose ceremony every week. I had no idea
- 44:19Speaker 3: about any of it. But I always thought, well, what
- 44:22Speaker 3: would ever be the reason to get married again? I
- 44:24Speaker 3: don't know that i'd ever want to do that, but
- 44:28Speaker 3: for some reason, you know, I think that, And I'm
- 44:33Speaker 3: fine never getting married again. I'm fine with being eternally engaged.
- 44:36Speaker 3: I'm fine with just living together. I'm fine with not
- 44:39Speaker 3: living together and living separately. So for me, it's just
- 44:43Speaker 3: not a huge thing. I will say that for Sabered,
- 44:46Speaker 3: he's a little more traditional and he really does want
- 44:49Speaker 3: that to happen, So no rush on it. But I
- 44:54Speaker 3: will show you this.
- 45:00Speaker 2: Stupid did it happen is that it is that a
- 45:03Speaker 2: pass me ring engagement.
- 45:05Speaker 3: It's just that we we you know, we ended up
- 45:08Speaker 3: talking about it and and you know, we kind of
- 45:12Speaker 3: decided that we would like to get engaged someday, and
- 45:15Speaker 3: we happened to be in this place and we actually
- 45:18Speaker 3: both bought each other rings because he bought me this
- 45:23Speaker 3: and I wanted to buy him one too, and so
- 45:25Speaker 3: we're kind of like we haven't been you know, I said, well,
- 45:28Speaker 3: you got to ask me in a special way, and
- 45:31Speaker 3: he's like, okay, okay, when do you want to do that?
- 45:33Speaker 3: And I'm like, not anytime real scene. So so we
- 45:37Speaker 3: could let it be for a little bit like this
- 45:39Speaker 3: because it would feel too sick. But yeah, of course
- 45:42Speaker 3: we've already talked about it. We already know who would
- 45:44Speaker 3: marry us. We even kind of know what we would do,
- 45:46Speaker 3: and you know, we've kind of tossed it around. But
- 45:49Speaker 3: then we're all so going, we don't need to rush
- 45:50Speaker 3: into it. We'll just see how things go. But yeah,
- 45:54Speaker 3: isn't it weird because now all of a sudden, I'm like, okay,
- 45:56Speaker 3: we're my best friend's like what you always said you
- 45:59Speaker 3: would never you said you'd never moved. You said, you
- 46:03Speaker 3: never do this, you said, and I'm like, I know,
- 46:06Speaker 3: I don't know what you know, so it.
- 46:09Speaker 2: Just makes you crazy, right, Yeah.
- 46:12Speaker 3: So but I always I always caveat it with but
- 46:15Speaker 3: we'll see because you never know. But you know, we
- 46:18Speaker 3: give something enough time, who knows. But I'm open to
- 46:21Speaker 3: it for sure.
- 46:22Speaker 1: Yeah, I love seeing that. Is that a sapphire?
- 46:26Speaker 3: So no, I'm not a big I'm not a big
- 46:28Speaker 3: diamond person. It's a gardener.
- 46:29Speaker 1: I know you're not.
- 46:31Speaker 3: And so I like, I've always said I would rather
- 46:34Speaker 3: see diamonds on the water in the sunlight, then I
- 46:38Speaker 3: would have a diamond on my finger. I'm just like,
- 46:40Speaker 3: it seems like so much money for such a little thing.
- 46:43Speaker 3: You know, I'd rather have acreage or better things for
- 46:46Speaker 3: my horse, or a better barn, so don't spend many
- 46:48Speaker 3: on diamonds. But then I saw this, and I love
- 46:51Speaker 3: the passion stone garnet. It's such a passionstone. It's red.
- 46:54Speaker 3: It's also my favorite color, and that it does have
- 46:56Speaker 3: little diamonds around. So I'll give you a close uplet.
- 47:00Speaker 1: Oh that's beautiful. Oh my gosh, faith is beautiful.
- 47:05Speaker 2: Yes, I loved blue from farther away or black. Yeah,
- 47:09Speaker 2: but closer up you can tell them.
- 47:11Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like a it's a garnet. And I just
- 47:13Speaker 3: it looked so much like me. I'm like, I think
- 47:15Speaker 3: I meant to have that. I was like, okay, and
- 47:19Speaker 3: then I wanted him to have something. So we actually
- 47:21Speaker 3: bought each other. We're wearing rings. But I haven't hard
- 47:25Speaker 3: launched that or I haven't said we're engaged ring because
- 47:27Speaker 3: he has to ask me first, and I'm not I
- 47:29Speaker 3: don't know if he should do that right yet.
- 47:31Speaker 2: Yes, I get that, I get that. Are you are
- 47:33Speaker 2: Do you like surprises? Would you want him to do
- 47:36Speaker 2: it on a day that you didn't know, or would
- 47:37Speaker 2: you want to have it planned?
- 47:39Speaker 3: I don't know. Do you know that? I? I you know,
- 47:42Speaker 3: I never even had a wedding, Trista, I didn't know.
- 47:46Speaker 3: So when I married my husband, I married him eight
- 47:49Speaker 3: days after he kissed me, and we just went down
- 47:51Speaker 3: in jeans in front of a judge. No one was there.
- 47:54Speaker 3: I didn't have any family there. Nobody even met him
- 47:58Speaker 3: until after our first baby was born, you know, sixteen
- 48:01Speaker 3: months later. And so I have never planned a wedding,
- 48:04Speaker 3: been a part of a wedding, and never so I
- 48:06Speaker 3: don't know the first thing about it. I know that
- 48:08Speaker 3: I've seen other people do all that, and I'm like,
- 48:10Speaker 3: oh my god, that sounds like a headache. I would
- 48:12Speaker 3: never like, I would go everybody wear what they want
- 48:15Speaker 3: to wear, show up, you know, like I don't want
- 48:19Speaker 3: it to be a hassle for anyone, you know. But
- 48:21Speaker 3: I thought of things like this, let our grandkids ride
- 48:25Speaker 3: the horses and throw out flowers. Would that be so
- 48:28Speaker 3: oh my gosh, Yes, that was so cute with grandkids. Yeah. So,
- 48:32Speaker 3: I mean, first time in my whole life at sixty
- 48:34Speaker 3: three years old, I'm like kind of thinking if we
- 48:37Speaker 3: got married here and what would we do. Yeah, I've
- 48:43Speaker 3: never worn a wedding dress.
- 48:45Speaker 1: Oh you need to. I mean, we need to get
- 48:48Speaker 1: you in a white dress. Is anyone listening out there?
- 48:51Speaker 3: Right? There's a picture of my ex husband and I
- 48:54Speaker 3: with all dressed up. But it was actually a prom.
- 48:56Speaker 3: It was some radio thing that I did as a prom,
- 48:59Speaker 3: and so I was in a white dress. Everybody's like,
- 49:01Speaker 3: it's not your wedding dress. Nope. I got married in
- 49:03Speaker 3: Jean's in a sweater in front of a job eight
- 49:06Speaker 3: days after my husband kissed me and we had never
- 49:08Speaker 3: slept together, so it's like, yeah, I mean.
- 49:12Speaker 1: When you'd like you like I said, you know, when
- 49:14Speaker 1: you know you know? Yup? I mean please.
- 49:17Speaker 2: I got engaged after six weeks and we're still married,
- 49:20Speaker 2: so it's.
- 49:21Speaker 3: Like crazy, yeah, yeah, so so exciting and fun. But
- 49:25Speaker 3: nobody knows about this, so I guess keep it a secret.
- 49:28Speaker 3: I don't know. In fact, Gary I did tell I said,
- 49:30Speaker 3: keep it a secret, but I think we're sort of
- 49:32Speaker 3: unofficially engaged, and so he's like, oh, he's like me too.
- 49:37Speaker 3: And then who else I saw somebody else? Is Susan engaged? Also?
- 49:40Speaker 3: I think I don't know if she is. I don't know,
- 49:43Speaker 3: but I know she's, you know, pretty together with that guy, right,
- 49:47Speaker 3: I mean, we don't. She never calls me. Kathy and
- 49:50Speaker 3: I have talked occasionally, but I haven't heard from Susan
- 49:54Speaker 3: a long time, so I don't know.
- 49:55Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I don't just love that you all
- 49:57Speaker 2: are finding love. That's amazing.
- 49:59Speaker 3: Isn't it so weird? Yeah, it's not weird. It's amazing.
- 50:03Speaker 1: I love it.
- 50:04Speaker 3: It's so great, it's great, but it's weird. I never
- 50:07Speaker 3: really I kind of thought if I can go on
- 50:10Speaker 3: a National TV show and still not fine in love.
- 50:14Speaker 3: I mean, come on, this is not happening, so yeah, surprise.
- 50:20Speaker 2: Surprise, No, it can't happen any in any way, in
- 50:25Speaker 2: any way, as you have shown. I have a few
- 50:39Speaker 2: more questions, one of them being, since you're in a
- 50:42Speaker 2: happy relationship, do you think that Sab has any friends
- 50:46Speaker 2: that you could hook up the rest of your golden
- 50:49Speaker 2: friends with?
- 50:49Speaker 1: Would you ever play matchmakers?
- 50:51Speaker 3: I love playing matchmaker. I've done that a few times
- 50:55Speaker 3: and it's actually worked out. I'm actually quite good at it. Okay,
- 51:00Speaker 3: but he does not because I'm working on one for
- 51:04Speaker 3: my very best friend who's an extraordinary athlete, and and
- 51:07Speaker 3: I'm like, don't you have any friends? You know? He
- 51:10Speaker 3: works a lot and he's kind of a relationship guy,
- 51:14Speaker 3: so he's not really a hangout with the buddy. He's
- 51:16Speaker 3: a lot guy, you know. I mean, he's got guy friends,
- 51:20Speaker 3: but they're all married. So but I'll certainly be keeping
- 51:24Speaker 3: my eyes open.
- 51:25Speaker 1: You're going to be on the lookout.
- 51:27Speaker 3: I'll be on the matchmaker. I love that.
- 51:29Speaker 1: I'm sure Leslie and Teresa would be happy for that.
- 51:32Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 51:32Speaker 1: Okay.
- 51:33Speaker 2: One dating tip that you have for any goldens out there, listening.
- 51:39Speaker 3: This is probably not going to be favorable at anybody.
- 51:42Speaker 3: But I always let a guy. I let a guy
- 51:45Speaker 3: see me in my worstness right from the get go,
- 51:48Speaker 3: Like I'm like, Okay, we had our first date and
- 51:51Speaker 3: I'm wearing maskara, but the truth of it is hardly
- 51:54Speaker 3: ever wearing it ever. So and I'm not. I don't
- 51:57Speaker 3: curl my hair every day, and I wear baggy clothes
- 51:59Speaker 3: and shoes, and you know, like I don't. I don't
- 52:03Speaker 3: put on any facades of any kind right from the
- 52:06Speaker 3: get go. It's like, I don't. I don't have time
- 52:09Speaker 3: to do all that stuff for some reason. No, you know,
- 52:13Speaker 3: I'm just like so I figure if they like me
- 52:16Speaker 3: at my worst, then they'll like me at my best.
- 52:18Speaker 3: So I'm pretty transparent right from the get go. And
- 52:21Speaker 3: I really always say, please be the same. Don't pretend
- 52:26Speaker 3: to like everything I like, you know, don't say things,
- 52:30Speaker 3: don't be agreeable if you don't agree. God, we're too
- 52:33Speaker 3: old for that. You know, be who you are, please
- 52:36Speaker 3: upfront so I get to know. Otherwise you're just going
- 52:39Speaker 3: to prolong the inevitable and then you know you'll break
- 52:42Speaker 3: up when you find out who the real person is.
- 52:44Speaker 3: So be yourself, be who you are, you know, let
- 52:47Speaker 3: it all hang out there and if they don't like it,
- 52:49Speaker 3: then more time meant together.
- 52:53Speaker 1: And yeah, exactly.
- 52:54Speaker 2: I think that's so such good advice. You should be
- 52:57Speaker 2: real in a relationship. You should be who you are
- 53:01Speaker 2: so that you know you both know what you're dealing with.
- 53:05Speaker 2: I feel like a long time ago, Howard Stern said
- 53:08Speaker 2: something about I was blonde on the Bachelor and then
- 53:12Speaker 2: the Bachelorette, and I think years later I became a
- 53:15Speaker 2: brunette or something, and he's like, well, I guess Ryan's
- 53:19Speaker 2: not getting what he signed up for something like that.
- 53:22Speaker 1: Like I was not being real, you know. I was like,
- 53:27Speaker 1: you know what things we have that.
- 53:30Speaker 3: We could changeau whatever? I mean?
- 53:34Speaker 2: Yes, so I you know, I don't. I think it's
- 53:37Speaker 2: very important though, to to like you were saying of say,
- 53:41Speaker 2: please don't act like you like to do something that
- 53:45Speaker 2: you don't like to do, because I need to know
- 53:47Speaker 2: who you are and if we're compatible.
- 53:50Speaker 1: I think that's really important. Great advice. Yeah, what do
- 53:54Speaker 1: you think of?
- 53:56Speaker 3: Uh?
- 53:56Speaker 2: Actually, did you watch Golden bachel number two?
- 54:01Speaker 3: Are you talking about Jones season or no?
- 54:04Speaker 1: The Bachelor with mel Owens.
- 54:07Speaker 2: No, I did not, Okay, I didn't, so do you
- 54:12Speaker 2: I mean you might have heard some rumblings about the show.
- 54:14Speaker 2: Maybe do you think that they'll have another golden season?
- 54:19Speaker 3: I don't know, I think quite honestly, when the rumblings
- 54:23Speaker 3: that I heard on social media was that he didn't
- 54:25Speaker 3: want to date anybody over sixty and blah blah blah.
- 54:28Speaker 3: And then I remember hearing something to her and said,
- 54:32Speaker 3: you know, one of the gals and I don't know
- 54:34Speaker 3: which one it was, said, oh, well, we're really good
- 54:36Speaker 3: looking ladies. The first season was those were very good
- 54:40Speaker 3: looking ladies or something like that. I had to giggle
- 54:42Speaker 3: right now, because there's times when I look at us
- 54:46Speaker 3: and I'm like, we were all exhausted. We were all
- 54:49Speaker 3: looking pretty haggard at times, right, you know, it was tough.
- 54:54Speaker 3: I love all our ladies. I loved our season, but
- 54:57Speaker 3: you know, yeah, maybe we were a little less put
- 55:02Speaker 3: together or you know, on the superficial side, a little
- 55:05Speaker 3: less superficial than some of the ones. Now there's younger,
- 55:09Speaker 3: you know, I don't know, some women really know how
- 55:11Speaker 3: to do all that, and they do, and that's great,
- 55:14Speaker 3: more power to them. But I kind of felt like
- 55:17Speaker 3: our side were you know, Susan's working in a hair salon,
- 55:20Speaker 3: and Leslie's dance and she's a teacher, and I'm, you know,
- 55:23Speaker 3: doing something like we I don't know, we're just more
- 55:27Speaker 3: of the working women, you know, keeping it. Yeah, so
- 55:31Speaker 3: we were all dulled up, maybe as much as they were.
- 55:33Speaker 3: But yeah, but so I didn't I ended up. I
- 55:37Speaker 3: don't know. I don't know if it was that or
- 55:39Speaker 3: just I didn't. I was a little bit put off
- 55:41Speaker 3: by mel and his thing with what he said, and
- 55:45Speaker 3: I was like, huh And then yeah, so I didn't
- 55:48Speaker 3: watch it. I'm sure it was good, but don't worry.
- 55:51Speaker 2: No, there's no there's no judgment here if you didn't
- 55:53Speaker 2: watch it. I just didn't know. I wanted to know,
- 55:55Speaker 2: just to put everything in perspective.
- 55:58Speaker 3: Yeah, and I don't know if there's going to be
- 56:00Speaker 3: a third one. I have no idea. But you know, me,
- 56:03Speaker 3: christ I hardly know how to work the TV. There's
- 56:08Speaker 3: too many remotes.
- 56:09Speaker 1: You know, Uh huh, I get it. I am.
- 56:12Speaker 2: I am technologically savvy sometimes, but yeah, I know people
- 56:17Speaker 2: who are like, yeah, no, I think and that's okay. Uh,
- 56:20Speaker 2: if you have if they do do another Golden Bachelor,
- 56:24Speaker 2: would you sign up a friend. Obviously you wouldn't go
- 56:27Speaker 2: back on, but would you sign up a friend to
- 56:30Speaker 2: do it based on how your experience went?
- 56:33Speaker 3: Ooh interesting. I wish they would do a couple of
- 56:36Speaker 3: things different. Please tell me, well, I'm sure it's the
- 56:40Speaker 3: typical typical stuff like you know, well, I really probably
- 56:48Speaker 3: shouldn't say so. I don't know that I should that.
- 56:52Speaker 3: I wish they would, Honestly, I wish they would let
- 56:55Speaker 3: it be a little more real, like I do when
- 56:57Speaker 3: people say did they edit blah blah blah? They didn't
- 57:00Speaker 3: really edit out stuff or do anything weird like that,
- 57:03Speaker 3: but I wish things were a little more real. I'll
- 57:07Speaker 3: just put it like that. As far as the timelines go,
- 57:10Speaker 3: of course, you know, like it would have been great.
- 57:12Speaker 3: I keep thinking it would be so great to have,
- 57:15Speaker 3: like the way BIP was, where we had so much
- 57:18Speaker 3: time to really do stuff, and you know, they filmed everything,
- 57:22Speaker 3: but then they condensed it so small. I feel like
- 57:25Speaker 3: oftentimes they leave out the really good stuff, the part
- 57:29Speaker 3: where we're having these major, you know, interesting reflective lights
- 57:36Speaker 3: going off in our heads about real issues and things
- 57:39Speaker 3: that are so important for women today and what we
- 57:41Speaker 3: go through at this age looking for love and the
- 57:43Speaker 3: things we think about, and you know, I think that's
- 57:46Speaker 3: far more interesting than the little stupid drama stuff that
- 57:49Speaker 3: happens on the side. But maybe that's not good TV to,
- 57:53Speaker 3: you know, to the audience that the show goes for.
- 57:57Speaker 3: So who knows, But yeah, I I you know, through
- 58:02Speaker 3: it all, I would say it was a fabulous experience
- 58:04Speaker 3: for me. So I loved it. I'm glad I did it.
- 58:07Speaker 3: But what I want to put anyone else in those shoes?
- 58:12Speaker 1: You just give them really good advice.
- 58:15Speaker 3: Yeah, and I think that probably the advice I would
- 58:18Speaker 3: say is do more of what some of the other
- 58:21Speaker 3: girls did. They just had fun no matter what. They
- 58:23Speaker 3: didn't worry so much about the whole love thing. But
- 58:25Speaker 3: you know, of course I was going in, going this
- 58:27Speaker 3: could change my life? Is this going to be the
- 58:29Speaker 3: man I marry? Is this going to be a person
- 58:30Speaker 3: I spend the rest of my life with the show
- 58:32Speaker 3: just got so serious and I'm not that serious of
- 58:36Speaker 3: a person quite honestly, So it just it head tripped
- 58:39Speaker 3: me really bad, Like, why am I on this silly
- 58:42Speaker 3: show unless this is the guy I'm marrying and I'm scared.
- 58:44Speaker 3: I was just like Oh my gosh, I'm going to
- 58:47Speaker 3: be with you know. So it really was traumatic in
- 58:50Speaker 3: so many ways, honestly, the strange, strange, but very enlightening.
- 58:55Speaker 3: I'm really glad I did it. It's been a lot
- 58:57Speaker 3: of fun. Totally Bachelor in Paradise a blast.
- 59:00Speaker 2: Okay, well good, I mean it looked like you guys
- 59:02Speaker 2: were having fun. I feel like everything happens for a reason.
- 59:06Speaker 2: And you know, if you hadn't gone on Golden Bachelor,
- 59:10Speaker 2: do you feel like you would have gone on match
- 59:12Speaker 2: and then gone off match and then gone on match
- 59:14Speaker 2: and met Sabe, Like do you know what I mean? Like,
- 59:16Speaker 2: maybe you guys wouldn't have met had it not been
- 59:19Speaker 2: for the show, just because of the way your your
- 59:22Speaker 2: life was, your mind was.
- 59:24Speaker 3: Yeah. Maybe maybe because if had I not gone on
- 59:28Speaker 3: Golden I wouldn't have been on Bachelor in Paradise. And
- 59:31Speaker 3: Bachelor in Paradise was so much fun. I would do
- 59:34Speaker 3: that in a heartbeat. That was a blast. I loved it.
- 59:38Speaker 3: I had so much fun. And had I not even
- 59:41Speaker 3: had that little experience with Kim to really kind of
- 59:44Speaker 3: feel out what I was really looking for and what
- 59:47Speaker 3: was important, but still what I felt like I needed
- 59:50Speaker 3: you know, I think it was that that made me
- 59:53Speaker 3: say I could be open to a relationship again, and
- 59:57Speaker 3: I need to explore that more. And I, I don't know,
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: something felt different after b IP. I think I felt
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: more more brave about just trying it on like I
- 1:00:07Speaker 3: did with Kim, because I think the fear with us women,
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: at least myself, is if you try it on a
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: little bit and it doesn't work out, it ends horribly.
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: It's somebody's always super hurt, upset, mad, takes you months
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: to get rid of them. I'm sorry to say that,
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: but you know, like they're crying at your door, they're
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: stalking you, they're causing trouble at your work. I mean
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: just like, so it's really hard to put yourself out
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: there and even engage at all with you know, letting
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: down any boundaries because it's so hard to get out
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: of when you want to get out of it. So
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: all of us just sort of go, oh, it's not
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: worth the risk, right, But I Kim was so good
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: about it when I brought things up. When I talked
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: about it, I was like, Okay, there's got to be other
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: men that are mature like that, that understand that as
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: adults if it doesn't work out, you can move on
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: and everything's fine, right, So I think he really gave
- 1:00:59Speaker 3: me hope that hey, you know, it's okay to try
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: it on, to look at things like that, to investigate
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: a relationship and if it doesn't work out, calmly, nicely
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: back out, go on to better different things. So yeah,
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: I don't know that I would have gone on match again,
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: not being for a Bachelor in Paradise. Yeah, and that situation.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: I mean, hey, however you get there is great.
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: And I'm so glad that I got to meet you
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: through Golden Bachelor and that you're part of the Bachelor
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: Nation family. Thank you so much for coming on almost
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: famous Ojez and chatting with me today.
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: I'm so glad to see you. It's fun to see you.
- 1:01:41Speaker 3: It's been a long time. So yes, absolutely, thank you
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: so much.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: You're so happy for Thank you.
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: Please tell save hello and I will congratulations on your
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: happy relationship and happy here again.
- 1:01:54Speaker 3: Thank you. I hope I hear from you again sometime.
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: Stay in touch, of course. M M.
