- 0:22Speaker 1: It is time believe your worries outside and come laugh
- 0:27Speaker 1: with us inside the Treehouse. I'm Daniel Malley, along with
- 0:31Speaker 1: Trey Trenholm and Raj Sharma on a frid Day, August ninth,
- 0:39Speaker 1: twenty twenty four. We have a lot to get to today,
- 0:47Speaker 1: including we have to learn about hell worms. There's been
- 0:52Speaker 1: a burrito battery, and we're gonna play a tiny version
- 0:57Speaker 1: of one of our new favorite games inside the tree
- 1:00Speaker 1: was called Versus. But before we can get to any
- 1:04Speaker 1: of that, I don't think we ever followed up with
- 1:09Speaker 1: Trey on how his date went. That he told us
- 1:12Speaker 1: about the day of the Treehouse full party after our event.
- 1:17Speaker 1: He had a date, and we've had an episode or
- 1:20Speaker 1: two since then, and I don't think we ever asked
- 1:22Speaker 1: him about it.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Raj, No, I don't. I don't think we did. I
- 1:25Speaker 2: don't think we did.
- 1:26Speaker 1: We're terrible, terrible friends. And since Tray didn't offer up
- 1:29Speaker 1: any information, I can only assume about to hide something. Yeah,
- 1:35Speaker 1: what are you trying to hide? Trendholm?
- 1:38Speaker 3: I'd love to give you a good, a good punch
- 1:41Speaker 3: line here, but nothing.
- 1:42Speaker 4: Uh.
- 1:43Speaker 3: We had a really had a really nice time, talked
- 1:45Speaker 3: for hours and that's really about it.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Okay, did you guys? So was it a did you
- 1:53Speaker 2: guys go out? Did you stay in? Did you or
- 1:56Speaker 2: were you those people that shut the restaurant down in
- 1:58Speaker 2: like the Rolling Silverware that.
- 2:01Speaker 3: Yes, we ended up meeting a place in Yes, it's
- 2:06Speaker 3: southwest Fort Worth called uh may say it wrong, Bunnell's Bonneles.
- 2:12Speaker 4: I don't know, a nice restaurant.
- 2:14Speaker 5: Uh.
- 2:14Speaker 3: They happened to close fairly early. And yes, we were
- 2:17Speaker 3: the last ones there where uh and both of us
- 2:20Speaker 3: have been in the service industry, so we you know,
- 2:22Speaker 3: we looked around.
- 2:23Speaker 4: And we're like, oh, yeah, we should.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Probably go now where those people?
- 2:29Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 2:29Speaker 1: Yeah, so you had a lovely date that Yeah, we did,
- 2:33Speaker 1: had a very nice time that you decided not to
- 2:36Speaker 1: tell me and Raj anything about until we asked you
- 2:38Speaker 1: about it.
- 2:39Speaker 3: There was I mean, like I said, it was, we
- 2:42Speaker 3: talked and for a long time. I took her home,
- 2:48Speaker 3: got a parking ticket in front of her house, and
- 2:50Speaker 3: uh there that's.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's a story for the grandkids.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Yeah, it is, absolutely. It's like Grandpa, how long were
- 2:56Speaker 1: you at Grandma's house that first time? So long that
- 2:58Speaker 1: Grandpa got a parking ticket?
- 3:00Speaker 3: Yeah, that's it is there like an hour and uhly
- 3:03Speaker 3: the little suburbs she lives in there. The police department's
- 3:08Speaker 3: vigilant on their parking force.
- 3:12Speaker 1: She lived in dal Wornington Gardens, maybe Pantego. Those are
- 3:16Speaker 1: the two most ticket happy municipalities I can think of.
- 3:21Speaker 4: I'll tell you I had never heard of this municipality, so,
- 3:23Speaker 4: uh we'll leave it at that.
- 3:26Speaker 1: What was it called? Was it called ticket City?
- 3:30Speaker 4: I think that's their website.
- 3:34Speaker 2: All right, So is there a second date potential here? Oh?
- 3:38Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 3:38Speaker 1: Can we contact Hawkeye and Michelle and uh see if
- 3:41Speaker 1: you can do second date update at least at least
- 3:44Speaker 1: in this case, it would be a real one. Congratulations
- 3:51Speaker 1: on your Marconi nomination by the way.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Yeah, uh yeah, I'm sure there will be a second
- 3:56Speaker 3: it's a.
- 3:58Speaker 4: Yeah, it'll just it's a timing issue more than anything.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Okay, okay, why is this timing issue?
- 4:05Speaker 3: Well, my work schedule is not great as far as
- 4:12Speaker 3: social life because I work Wednesday through Saturday.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Oh yeah, so back to that service industry.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, I guess you could Sunday brunch it,
- 4:25Speaker 2: but that means you're getting up early.
- 4:27Speaker 4: And yeah, Sundays are I mean my schedule. Sundays are
- 4:31Speaker 4: my day of rest.
- 4:34Speaker 3: After four straight days of getting to bed usually about five.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Trey honors the Sabbath. Yeah, and coincidentally, his mattress brand
- 4:49Speaker 1: is Sabbath.
- 4:53Speaker 2: All right, well, yeah, maybe maybe a week weekday date.
- 4:58Speaker 2: We'll have to We'll have to you until your schedule
- 5:02Speaker 2: can free up a little bit.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Yeah, it was those sexy as Tuesday lunch dates.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Uh, they can be good, you know, it's sometimes you
- 5:17Speaker 2: need a good, you know, Tuesday date.
- 5:20Speaker 1: And maybe you'll have the opportunity to get a second citation.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:24Speaker 4: Yeah, that's a.
- 5:27Speaker 3: Uh be more far more vigilant about looking at where
- 5:29Speaker 3: the no parking signs are.
- 5:33Speaker 1: One hour Jesus, if that's what the is that, If
- 5:36Speaker 1: that's what the parking enforcement is, like, what the hell
- 5:39Speaker 1: is their next door message board? Like that's that's probably
- 5:43Speaker 1: what got you. Someone probably was watching the neighborhood watch,
- 5:45Speaker 1: was watching you park, and it's like oh no, no,
- 5:49Speaker 1: no no. They hit the timer and hit a stop watch,
- 5:51Speaker 1: and after like five six minutes they're on the next
- 5:55Speaker 1: door message board. They're calling up the po PO and
- 5:58Speaker 1: narking you out.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, that's but that's also lets you know, that
- 6:02Speaker 2: she's in a very safe neighborhod where they're like, hey,
- 6:05Speaker 2: we don't know this car, we don't know this guy.
- 6:09Speaker 2: I gotta make sure he's on the up and up
- 6:10Speaker 2: and just to let him know, like, hey, we're watching.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Yeah that's thirty ticket.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Yeah, RAJ, tell me the neighborhood in this country where
- 6:18Speaker 1: the neighborhood watch is really suspicious of a middle aged
- 6:22Speaker 1: white man walking out of a Mercedes SUV towards a
- 6:25Speaker 1: woman's house, Thank you welcome.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Yeah. Now, if it was me getting out of the
- 6:32Speaker 2: car swat.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Team two or three helicopters, they're gonna call him the FEDS.
- 6:38Speaker 1: You know, they're gonna super stereotype you. They'll probably even
- 6:40Speaker 1: call in Ice.
- 6:42Speaker 2: Yeah, Ice is arrested in Fort Worth.
- 6:46Speaker 1: You know they're gonna call him Border Patrol. They're gonna
- 6:48Speaker 1: bring in three four dogs. Yeah you're you know those
- 6:52Speaker 1: videos of the dudes in the bite suits. Yeah, that
- 6:55Speaker 1: would be you, just no suit begging for a parking
- 6:59Speaker 1: to well, tray. We wish you luck on date number two,
- 7:04Speaker 1: whenever that may be. In the meantime, I have something
- 7:08Speaker 1: that may make a second date awkward for you. If
- 7:13Speaker 1: you can't find something else to talk about.
- 7:16Speaker 4: I can't do that myself.
- 7:20Speaker 1: I like to help at Yeah, that's what I am.
- 7:23Speaker 1: I'm here to serve. So last episode we talked about
- 7:30Speaker 1: one of the swimmers from the triathlon, so I actually
- 7:33Speaker 1: should say one of the triathletes from the Olympics complaining
- 7:36Speaker 1: about the ecoli and the various dirty things floating and
- 7:42Speaker 1: swimming with them in the sand river in Paris for
- 7:46Speaker 1: the Olympics.
- 7:47Speaker 4: Yeah, she said she saw things you shouldn't see.
- 7:50Speaker 1: She saw things and touched things that you shouldn't be
- 7:53Speaker 1: talking about, and she said, we'll have to wait a
- 7:56Speaker 1: little bit to see if I end up sick. Well,
- 7:59Speaker 1: the higher Belgian team pulled out of not just the
- 8:02Speaker 1: river but the triathlon altogether out of fear for the
- 8:07Speaker 1: safety of their athletes. And then a few days later,
- 8:12Speaker 1: after the triathlon is completed and all those other people
- 8:15Speaker 1: jumped in the river and swam it, they are now
- 8:17Speaker 1: at least two confirmed Olympians who or sick because they
- 8:21Speaker 1: swam in that damn river.
- 8:23Speaker 2: M that's uh, yeah, that's gross.
- 8:27Speaker 3: That's actually I hate to say it. That's not a
- 8:29Speaker 3: lot because I would assume there's probably one hundred people
- 8:34Speaker 3: that compete in the triathlon. There might be more. They
- 8:37Speaker 3: might just be hiding in shame because I don't know
- 8:40Speaker 3: if if you got E Coli, I don't know, you're hiding,
- 8:42Speaker 3: and there's a lot of hiding.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Well, here's here's the scenario I thought up in my brain.
- 8:50Speaker 1: If I swam in the Sin River in Paris during
- 8:53Speaker 1: the Olympics and I'm exhibiting symptoms of E Coli issues
- 8:59Speaker 1: or god knows whatever other biohazards are floating in that
- 9:03Speaker 1: effin river. What else is happening at the Olympics, All
- 9:08Speaker 1: the opportunity to hook up. You hear about this every
- 9:11Speaker 1: single Olympics. How the Olympic village, all the athletes hooking up.
- 9:16Speaker 1: It's like Orgy's left and right. Some before their competition,
- 9:19Speaker 1: some after. There might even be a f you doing it, dearing.
- 9:21Speaker 1: I have no idea, but imagine being one of those
- 9:26Speaker 1: athletes that swam in the river, going back to the
- 9:28Speaker 1: Olympic village, thinking, Man, I'm in the best shape of
- 9:30Speaker 1: my life. This is supposed to be Olympic caligula, and
- 9:35Speaker 1: I'm covered head to toe in you know, equal eye.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Do you tell anybody or do you just try to
- 9:43Speaker 1: You just try to hope for the best and jump
- 9:45Speaker 1: in where you can.
- 9:46Speaker 2: I like, how the most romantic city in the world,
- 9:48Speaker 2: Paris their Olympic village. They designed the beds so that
- 9:52Speaker 2: you couldn't hook up.
- 9:54Speaker 3: Yeah, and evidently the conditions of the Olympic village are
- 10:00Speaker 3: pretty bad.
- 10:01Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Now, if you're the pole vaulter guy, that's.
- 10:07Speaker 1: A guy who I've I've heard many people say it
- 10:10Speaker 1: was so unfortunate that he lost. But did he I mean,
- 10:15Speaker 1: he may be the biggest winner out of this entire Olympics,
- 10:18Speaker 1: even though he didn't get a medal.
- 10:20Speaker 3: His worst option is I'm sure Brasers has had made
- 10:23Speaker 3: him hell of an offer.
- 10:25Speaker 2: It's a it's what's the I read this it's Soda Cam.
- 10:30Speaker 2: I think is the website. I think it's like a
- 10:33Speaker 2: maybe Cam Soda. That's what it is. Cam Soda has
- 10:37Speaker 2: offered him for a one hour I guess feature length
- 10:42Speaker 2: film or his his junk length film. I don't know
- 10:46Speaker 2: what two and fifty dollars is, and he apparently it
- 10:52Speaker 2: was like some like ridiculous number of women have reached
- 10:55Speaker 2: out to him on various social media sites, wanting to
- 11:00Speaker 2: get acquainted or learn how pole vaulting works.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Oh, they know, they know.
- 11:09Speaker 2: So he he may not have gotten in the metal,
- 11:12Speaker 2: but he he's going for gold.
- 11:16Speaker 1: And unlike the unlike the swimmers in the Sinn River,
- 11:20Speaker 1: his gold is one that a lot of these people
- 11:22Speaker 1: are going to want to put in their mouth.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Right.
- 11:26Speaker 1: So here's my here's my question for you. Dare I
- 11:28Speaker 1: call it a versus?
- 11:32Speaker 2: Oh?
- 11:34Speaker 1: So, would you rather, as an Olympic groupie hook up
- 11:39Speaker 1: with one of the triathletes who just got out of
- 11:43Speaker 1: the Sinn River in Paris covered in Douchie and e
- 11:47Speaker 1: Coli and all that shawshank stuff or one of the
- 11:55Speaker 1: men's basketball players from the NBA. Oh, and before you
- 12:03Speaker 1: immediately answer, let's really contemplate this. They're both athletes, right,
- 12:09Speaker 1: mm hmm, that shape of their life, very tall, very
- 12:12Speaker 1: you know, in very good shape. One is fresh out
- 12:16Speaker 1: of a dirty French river mm hmm. And the other
- 12:19Speaker 1: is an NBA player.
- 12:22Speaker 2: I'm gonna say ones, I'm fresh out of a dirty
- 12:24Speaker 2: French river and the other one is a triathlete.
- 12:28Speaker 1: They're very similar, which makes this addition of versus very hard. So, really,
- 12:34Speaker 1: because no NBA players are dudes, it doesn't matter. We're
- 12:40Speaker 1: going completely.
- 12:43Speaker 2: I'm gonna go with it does matter.
- 12:47Speaker 1: That. No, no, no, no, that is your fault for assuming
- 12:50Speaker 1: that triathlete was was female.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Are we are we in a like we're in prison
- 12:55Speaker 2: for life kind of situation? Like what if? Well, why
- 12:58Speaker 2: are we doing this?
- 13:01Speaker 4: I thought the Shawshank reference was just the escape.
- 13:06Speaker 1: No, that's the initiation.
- 13:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. I don't want to hook up
- 13:12Speaker 2: with either.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I'm not giving you that option in this
- 13:15Speaker 1: in this version of verses, Okay, we have to be
- 13:19Speaker 1: you have to choose. You have to choose, guys, dirty athlete?
- 13:23Speaker 1: Which dirty mail athlete are you going to jump on?
- 13:27Speaker 1: Is it going to be the NBA player as part
- 13:29Speaker 1: of the men's Olympic team, the US men's Olympic team,
- 13:34Speaker 1: or one of the triathletes fresh out at the Sinn River?
- 13:37Speaker 2: Now? Are they as equally interested in me as as
- 13:41Speaker 2: I am in them in this scenario? I don't know
- 13:43Speaker 2: how this goes.
- 13:44Speaker 1: You, guys ask too many questions for a game show.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Tom Berger, on when he hosted Hollywood Squares, never had
- 13:50Speaker 1: to deal with this. Ray Colms, Louis Anderson even on
- 13:54Speaker 1: Family Few, never had to deal with these questions.
- 14:00Speaker 2: Yeh outing the contestants.
- 14:04Speaker 4: I don't think they ever asked Gilbert Godfrey decide.
- 14:06Speaker 1: That you're aware of. They just couldn't. They just couldn't
- 14:21Speaker 1: air that because it was daytime TV that that was
- 14:24Speaker 1: for the late night Hollywood Squares.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Cinema expersion of Hollywood Squares.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Yeah, and that's and that's the one time you didn't
- 14:32Speaker 1: want to be the middle square.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Okay, I'll just h I don't. I wouldn't want to,
- 14:40Speaker 2: in any situation hook up with somebody that could potentially
- 14:44Speaker 2: duke on me because of their E coli situation.
- 14:48Speaker 1: All right, So you're gonna take the river swimmers?
- 14:52Speaker 2: No, No, I would take the I would take the
- 14:55Speaker 2: the NBA. I guess is what? Because I don't want
- 14:58Speaker 2: I don't want them to the the river swimmers could
- 15:00Speaker 2: get sick, like while you're on the date or I'm
- 15:05Speaker 2: being held against your will. I don't know how it
- 15:07Speaker 2: works in this scenario.
- 15:09Speaker 1: This is all consensual, okay.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Yeah, but you know you could you could have a
- 15:14Speaker 2: potential of somebody getting sick. Uh well, well, well in
- 15:18Speaker 2: the act of of whoopeem and I wouldn't want that,
- 15:25Speaker 2: So I guess the NBA. I don't.
- 15:27Speaker 1: So you'd rather be slam dunked in.
- 15:30Speaker 2: That in in whatever weird scenario you have in your mind,
- 15:34Speaker 2: then yes, that's that's what I'm gonna go for.
- 15:40Speaker 3: I'll go with the triathlete. I'll at least I might
- 15:45Speaker 3: get a chick, even if she craps on me. I'm
- 15:53Speaker 3: still not having to go see a psychiatrist.
- 15:58Speaker 1: And you'll have a really good second update for Hawkeye.
- 16:05Speaker 5: You're in the free visit us online at Freehouseonair dot com.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Eight three to three cook DFW. That's the phone number
- 16:22Speaker 1: to reach Daniel Cook from COOKDFW Roofing and Restoration for
- 16:24Speaker 1: your free roof inspection and to get yourself on the
- 16:27Speaker 1: cook inspection list yearly, and that's free eight three three
- 16:30Speaker 1: COOKDFW the website cookdfw dot com. I'm surprised I've not
- 16:34Speaker 1: asked you about this before, Daniel, because whenever I watch
- 16:38Speaker 1: a television show or a movie and there's a scene
- 16:42Speaker 1: where there's radio happening or podcasting, I'm zeroed in on
- 16:47Speaker 1: it because it's what I've done for my entire career,
- 16:49Speaker 1: so I see how authentic they are or not. So
- 16:54Speaker 1: I'm wondering do you do that when you watch movies
- 16:56Speaker 1: when there's a cool aerial shot in a Michael Bay film,
- 16:59Speaker 1: are you distracted by by roofing and shingles and thinking, oh, oh,
- 17:03Speaker 1: they didn't use their proper material there, or I see
- 17:07Speaker 1: some I see some hail things there and uh in
- 17:09Speaker 1: bad Boys too and they need to go back and
- 17:11Speaker 1: fix that?
- 17:11Speaker 2: Does that?
- 17:12Speaker 1: Does that? Does that happen to you?
- 17:13Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 17:13Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 17:14Speaker 6: I do notice, you know, the overall look of the
- 17:17Speaker 6: a statics of the home for sure, and when they're
- 17:19Speaker 6: walking through their house how they have them set up
- 17:21Speaker 6: and the lighting and it is fun. I mean it is,
- 17:24Speaker 6: it's it's It is an interesting thing to start seeing
- 17:27Speaker 6: things from your point of view, whatever you're into, just
- 17:30Speaker 6: like you said, versus you looking at podcast or radio
- 17:34Speaker 6: announcing and I'm looking at construction side of things. And
- 17:36Speaker 6: I have some friends that I watch shows with everything
- 17:39Speaker 6: and they're really into cars and there they can tell
- 17:41Speaker 6: me every little thing about this car this guy's driving.
- 17:44Speaker 6: So yeah, it's just that's what we do.
- 17:46Speaker 1: It just hit me imagine how stressful it must be
- 17:50Speaker 1: to watch an action film. If you're an insurance adjuster,
- 17:59Speaker 1: you're min has to immediately go to like starting to
- 18:02Speaker 1: add up all the costs and think, man, that's gonna
- 18:04Speaker 1: be a big check. They're gonna have to right.
- 18:06Speaker 6: Oh crap, man, I hope that never happens.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Well, hopefully you enjoy the movies and don't look too
- 18:12Speaker 1: hard at the roofs. But he will come to your

- 18:57Speaker 1: Oh so much to get to today. Like I said,
- 19:00Speaker 1: we've already been jam packed. That was unintentioned, although although glorious.
- 19:08Speaker 1: We must first, of course do birthdays. Today is as
- 19:13Speaker 1: I mentioned earlier, for day August ninth, twenty twenty four
- 19:18Speaker 1: birthdays today. We will start with Bill Scarsguard. He is
- 19:22Speaker 1: thirty four today to me, he is best known as
- 19:27Speaker 1: penny Wise, the clown in the IT remake. Did you
- 19:29Speaker 1: guys see either of those the new IT movies?
- 19:32Speaker 4: Yes?
- 19:34Speaker 1: I saw the first one. For some reason, I still
- 19:36Speaker 1: haven't watched the second one. Maybe it's because Bill Scarsguard
- 19:40Speaker 1: did such a good job as a creepys penny Wise,
- 19:42Speaker 1: especially when he's doing the dance thing. I just I
- 19:46Speaker 1: haven't made it to see the second one yet.
- 19:48Speaker 2: I didn't know there was a second one, so now
- 19:50Speaker 2: I will have to watch that. But yeah, he was great.
- 19:53Speaker 2: He showed up to the audition in full penny Wise
- 19:58Speaker 2: year and I kind of like pushed him over the
- 20:02Speaker 2: edge as far as getting the gig.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Good on him.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Yeah, but I didn't know there was a second one,
- 20:08Speaker 2: so I will have to check that out now.
- 20:09Speaker 1: Yeah, it's the continuation like in the novel because I
- 20:11Speaker 1: never read the book, but I did know that it
- 20:13Speaker 1: was you know, Stephen King, and that it skips ahead,
- 20:16Speaker 1: you know, twenty something years to win. All those kids
- 20:18Speaker 1: are now adults, and so that's the second half.
- 20:21Speaker 2: Yeah, Oh gotcha. Okay.
- 20:23Speaker 1: In case you were curious, Bill Scar's Guard was also
- 20:25Speaker 1: in Deadpool two. He was part of X Force. He
- 20:31Speaker 1: was the dude that spit venom that got sucked into
- 20:33Speaker 1: the wood chipper because of the highway. Yeah, other birthdays today.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Anna Kendrick from the Pitch Perfect movies is thirty nine
- 20:45Speaker 1: and if she also plays let me say this first.
- 20:48Speaker 1: She also is Poppy in the Trolls movies. But if
- 20:52Speaker 1: you have not seen her co starring turn in The
- 20:57Speaker 1: Accountant with Ben Affleck, I highly reckoned Men Dead film.
- 21:00Speaker 1: It's a below kind of under the radar action film
- 21:04Speaker 1: where Ben Affleck plays an autistic hit man. Based on
- 21:08Speaker 1: that synopsis, it sounded really really questionable, but it's actually
- 21:13Speaker 1: really really good. And I think they've been working on
- 21:16Speaker 1: a second one for some time. They just haven't gotten
- 21:18Speaker 1: this together yet, gotcha.
- 21:20Speaker 4: Speaking of Ross, did you guys see a Deadpool and Wolverine.
- 21:24Speaker 2: Have not yet?
- 21:24Speaker 1: What the hell? Man?
- 21:26Speaker 2: We couldn't with with the with the ladies' schedule and
- 21:29Speaker 2: stuff that she had to do this weekend and so
- 21:31Speaker 2: last weekend stuff like that, we couldn't match up times
- 21:35Speaker 2: and she's been traveling for work, so trying to trying
- 21:39Speaker 2: to make sure that we can all go at the
- 21:40Speaker 2: same time. So I would hate to watch it myself,
- 21:43Speaker 2: and I don't like going to the movies by myself.
- 21:45Speaker 2: I think that's God.
- 21:46Speaker 4: I like it.
- 21:47Speaker 1: I don't mind it. Tara. Tara always feels bad and
- 21:49Speaker 1: it doesn't It hasn't happened very much that I go
- 21:52Speaker 1: to a movie by myself, but she always feels terrible, Like,
- 21:54Speaker 1: don't feel bad. I love this, This is great.
- 21:56Speaker 4: Yeah too, I don't know. I don't know.
- 21:59Speaker 2: Hey, you guys do that. It's like eating by yourself,
- 22:01Speaker 2: like I can't. I don't care.
- 22:02Speaker 1: I'll eat by myself as well.
- 22:04Speaker 4: Oh that's weird.
- 22:06Speaker 1: It's not to me. It to me, it's not weird
- 22:08Speaker 1: at all. All that means is that you're you know,
- 22:10Speaker 1: you're by yourself. Yeah, you're comfortable being with yourself.
- 22:14Speaker 2: Oh yeah, no, I'm not. I'm not at all.
- 22:17Speaker 1: I mean I look at it this way. Uh, eating
- 22:19Speaker 1: by yourself, doing things by yourself, going to the movies, whatever,
- 22:23Speaker 1: is on one hand, a sign of good mental health,
- 22:29Speaker 1: like that you're good with hanging out with yourself. On
- 22:32Speaker 1: the other hand, to everybody else, it looks like you
- 22:35Speaker 1: might be a serial killer. And it both could be true.
- 22:38Speaker 2: Yeah, that's that's what. So that's what I see, Like,
- 22:40Speaker 2: I think that's what they see. If I were to
- 22:42Speaker 2: go by myself, people are gonna go, oh, what happened? Uh?
- 22:47Speaker 2: And so it also would you know, when I was younger,
- 22:50Speaker 2: I just looked like, hey, I think that guy just
- 22:51Speaker 2: got stood up. So I'm like, I can't. I can't
- 22:55Speaker 2: do that. I can't eat by myself.
- 22:57Speaker 4: I've always attributed. I mean, I was an only child, so.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Just oh, that makes sense though, Okay, that makes sense.
- 23:03Speaker 1: If you want to mitigate any of the disparaging or
- 23:07Speaker 1: judgmental looks, just sit at the bar. No one's ever
- 23:12Speaker 1: gonna think twice about you sitting at the bar by
- 23:14Speaker 1: yourself eating some dinner.
- 23:15Speaker 2: I need to know where that movie theater is. Where
- 23:17Speaker 2: I can sit at a bar and watch the movie
- 23:19Speaker 2: because of Cosmos. Okay, it's Cosmos.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Granted it's not first, it's not New Movies or anything
- 23:27Speaker 1: like that, because Cosmos and Lakewood still has the VHS player. Wow,
- 23:33Speaker 1: But yeah, you could sit at the bar watch a movie.
- 23:35Speaker 1: The sound won't be on, but you know, sometimes the
- 23:38Speaker 1: close captioning will be.
- 23:40Speaker 2: Okay, that I could probably do.
- 23:43Speaker 3: But I mean, especially if it's like an afternoon movie,
- 23:45Speaker 3: it's empty anyways, no one who cares.
- 23:47Speaker 2: Yeah, that's even sadder.
- 23:50Speaker 4: You know, that means you got more space to yourself.
- 23:52Speaker 1: As long as you're seeing, you know, a normal movie
- 23:56Speaker 1: in a normal theater. Now if you're you know, at
- 23:59Speaker 1: the adult theater at ten thirty on a Tuesday, then yeah,
- 24:03Speaker 1: that's that's pretty sad now that I can do.
- 24:06Speaker 2: No, I'm just kidding.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Were you following me?
- 24:12Speaker 4: There's always someone else on the other side of the
- 24:14Speaker 4: glory hole.
- 24:21Speaker 2: It's a glass half full kind of thing, is it?
- 24:26Speaker 1: Only half?
- 24:26Speaker 2: Though?
- 24:30Speaker 1: Other birthdays? Today we've also got on see we had
- 24:35Speaker 1: Anna Kendrick. She's thirty nine. Eric Banna, who played The
- 24:39Speaker 1: Hulk many many years ago before the Hulk was cool.
- 24:43Speaker 1: He's fifty six. Gillian Anderson Danas Scully from The X File.
- 24:46Speaker 1: She is fifty six. Dion Sanders Cowboys in NFL Great.
- 24:50Speaker 1: He's fifty seven. Hoda Katib from The Today Show turned
- 24:54Speaker 1: sixty and if you've been watching any amount of the Olympics,
- 24:57Speaker 1: you've seen a lot of her lately. And I'm I
- 25:00Speaker 1: don't know, maybe she's genuinely a nice person, but every
- 25:02Speaker 1: time I see her on TV, she doesn't seem genuine
- 25:04Speaker 1: and annoys me. I hope I can't believe she's only sixty.
- 25:09Speaker 1: I with you there, I mean that I could have
- 25:12Speaker 1: said seventy and still thought that she's that she looks good.
- 25:16Speaker 1: And finally, speaking of looking good for your age, the
- 25:19Speaker 1: one and only Sam Elliott is eighty.
- 25:22Speaker 2: Wow. Good for him.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Yeah, from the original Roadhouse, Virgil Irp and Tombstone, the
- 25:28Speaker 1: stranger in The Big Lebowski shares bike her boyfriend Gar
- 25:32Speaker 1: in nineteen eighty five's Mask Countless countless films that the
- 25:37Speaker 1: man has been in.
- 25:38Speaker 2: The ranch that was the Netflix series, I believe.
- 25:40Speaker 3: And probably one of the mainly voices and mustaches she'll
- 25:44Speaker 3: ever see in here.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Yeah, very very true. And it's also one of those
- 25:49Speaker 1: men that when you see him without his mustache, it's alarming.
- 25:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:54Speaker 1: There there are there are two men that are very
- 25:57Speaker 1: famous that when they don't have their mustaches it's shocking.
- 26:02Speaker 1: One is Sam Elliott and the other is of course
- 26:04Speaker 1: Tom Selle.
- 26:05Speaker 2: Yeah, there was the episode of Friends where he didn't
- 26:07Speaker 2: have the mustache, yep, And it was one of those
- 26:09Speaker 2: like I wonder what happened? Uh, how do you get
- 26:15Speaker 2: like so it's like, you know, like Jennifer Lopez has
- 26:17Speaker 2: her ass insured and like you know Cydney Crawford headed
- 26:20Speaker 2: her legs. I wonder if like sell It and Elliott
- 26:22Speaker 2: like have their mustache insured, like in case they get
- 26:26Speaker 2: like some alopecia or something they can.
- 26:28Speaker 1: Oooh that would be bad.
- 26:30Speaker 2: Yeah, they could. They could have some sort of weird
- 26:32Speaker 2: follicular disorder.
- 26:35Speaker 1: You know what I think. If I think if we've
- 26:37Speaker 1: learned anything from Lords of or Lloyd's of London, it's
- 26:41Speaker 1: that they'll ensure anything. Yeah, so I don't see why
- 26:44Speaker 1: you wouldn't ensure a mustache, come to think of it,
- 26:47Speaker 1: If they would ensure anything, why haven't people started ensuring
- 26:52Speaker 1: radio stations? I mean just to kind of.
- 26:59Speaker 3: Calculation. That's yeah, gotta be worth enough. You gotta pay
- 27:02Speaker 3: yea for all the premiums you're gonna pay.
- 27:05Speaker 2: That's true. It's gotta be worth the kope.
- 27:12Speaker 1: Yeah, in order to pay a premium, you have to
- 27:17Speaker 1: first be a premium. That's cold blooded tray.
- 27:25Speaker 4: Yeah, all those ratings came out.
- 27:30Speaker 1: Thank you for those, by the way, Yeah, you're welcome.
- 27:38Speaker 4: That bird, that bird that's tethered by uh dead weight.
- 27:44Speaker 1: In the ground, it turns out it's uh flightless. Well,
- 27:49Speaker 1: I mean when when you're when when when you're anchored down.
- 27:55Speaker 4: In a cage.
- 27:57Speaker 2: It's hard to fly when the clipped your wings.
- 28:03Speaker 1: That her pennywise got to him. So happy birthday to
- 28:09Speaker 1: all those people. One quick thing before we go into
- 28:18Speaker 1: some other shocking things, and that is the burrito battery.
- 28:25Speaker 1: And I don't mean an electrical charge. I mean an
- 28:29Speaker 1: honest to goodness assault with a burrito.
- 28:32Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, aren't those never experienced one? But I hope
- 28:39Speaker 2: not to. But let's I got to hear this.
- 28:41Speaker 1: An argument early last Saturday began over doctor Esha Persaud,
- 28:46Speaker 1: a thirty four year old dentist, getting her husband Taco
- 28:49Speaker 1: Bell and McDonald's first birthday. During the twelve twenty am squabble,
- 28:54Speaker 1: so keep that in mind, she allegedly threw a soft
- 28:59Speaker 1: shell taco at the thirty five year old birthday boy.
- 29:02Speaker 1: The delicacy struck the man on the right side of
- 29:04Speaker 1: the face, according to police, and when a patrolman responded
- 29:06Speaker 1: to the couple's Saint Petersburg, Florida residents, the burrito was
- 29:10Speaker 1: still on the victim's face.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Well, you can't tamper with evidence. They might be able
- 29:24Speaker 2: to pull a print off of it. That's the worst
- 29:36Speaker 2: day for forensics.
- 29:37Speaker 1: Guy TSI has really gone downhill.
- 29:45Speaker 7: You're listening to the Treehouse. Visit us online a Treehouse
- 29:49Speaker 7: on air dot com.
- 29:58Speaker 1: Two one four three six eight thirty eight. That is
- 30:00Speaker 1: the phone number to reach Jacqueline at Brooks Plumbing, the
- 30:03Speaker 1: official plumbing provider, and it's needed inside the Treehouse two
- 30:07Speaker 1: one four three six eight thirty eight thirty eight. The
- 30:09Speaker 1: website Brooks Plumbing Texas dot com. You said just just
- 30:13Speaker 1: a minute ago, Jacqueline, that you wanted to dish on
- 30:16Speaker 1: your boy Oliver.
- 30:17Speaker 8: I love Oliver, I do. But one of my favorite
- 30:20Speaker 8: things to do in this industry, I call it a
- 30:22Speaker 8: prove of, which is kind of like a legal term.
- 30:24Speaker 8: So it's when you've got two different opinions from two
- 30:27Speaker 8: different plumbing companies. Last night I was on the phone,
- 30:30Speaker 8: I swear to God for an hour with a buyer's realator,
- 30:32Speaker 8: the buyers the seller realator, the sellers US and then
- 30:35Speaker 8: a competing plumbing company and they're kind of new to
- 30:38Speaker 8: the Metroplex and I talked to the master plumber there.
- 30:40Speaker 8: He seems very nice. They seem very reputable. But the
- 30:43Speaker 8: difference is is that I've known my guys for ever.
- 30:47Speaker 8: I've known Oliver since he was fifteen. He is now
- 30:49Speaker 8: a licensed journey and plumber. He's one step away from
- 30:52Speaker 8: being a master plumber. So I've seen what he can do,
- 30:54Speaker 8: and i know what he's capable of. So there's a
- 30:56Speaker 8: difference of opinion on basically the layout of the pipes
- 30:59Speaker 8: under eath the foundation. And I said, I'll do everybody
- 31:02Speaker 8: one better. Since there's a difference of opinion. I'll go
- 31:04Speaker 8: back tomorrow morning at nine am, at no cost to anybody,
- 31:07Speaker 8: and we'll do it again. And I will make sure
- 31:09Speaker 8: everybody gets a copy of the video from the fiber
- 31:12Speaker 8: optic camera sewer exam and we'll we'll figure it out
- 31:15Speaker 8: once and for all. But I said, however, I feel
- 31:18Speaker 8: like this is a fruitless effort because I know what
- 31:20Speaker 8: my kid is capable of, and I really trust him.
- 31:23Speaker 8: And the other gentleman said, well, I trust my guy too,
- 31:25Speaker 8: he's a great technician. Well, I'll give you one guess
- 31:28Speaker 8: as to who is right.
- 31:29Speaker 1: It was Oliver.
- 31:30Speaker 8: I trust my guys. I trust them in my house.
- 31:33Speaker 8: I would trust obviously Oliver's been in your house. But
- 31:36Speaker 8: I take great pride because I know what these guys
- 31:40Speaker 8: are capable of and I'll say on a closing note,
- 31:42Speaker 8: I will cherry pick the guy for the project. I
- 31:44Speaker 8: know which ones are good at the things and can
- 31:47Speaker 8: knock them out. There's a lot of things that they
- 31:49Speaker 8: can all do, but some things are very specific. Beasts,
- 31:52Speaker 8: tankless water heaters are still kind of new, so I
- 31:54Speaker 8: know who's going to get that sucker in and just
- 31:56Speaker 8: make it fly. And if you need something in some
- 31:59Speaker 8: of your workorried about it. Second opinions, we.
- 32:02Speaker 1: Love that absolutely, and uh not only do you love Oliver,
- 32:06Speaker 1: I love Oliver because I mean the man's been, you know,
- 32:09Speaker 1: in and out of my pipes quite a bit and
- 32:10Speaker 1: he's always done really really well at it.
- 32:12Speaker 8: At least he's cute.
- 32:14Speaker 1: He is cute, and uh uh he it's amazing how
- 32:17Speaker 1: clean he came out of the down there.
- 32:19Speaker 8: That that's a skill in it of itself.
- 32:22Speaker 1: Give him a call for any and all of your
- 32:23Speaker 1: plumbing wants and needs. Two one, four, three, six, eight,
- 32:26Speaker 1: thirty eight thirty eight. The website Brooks Plumbing, Texis dot

- 32:35Speaker 7: Een you're listening to the Treehouse, listen us online at
- 32:43Speaker 7: Treehouse on Air dot com.
- 32:46Speaker 1: This segment of the Treehouse is brought to you by
- 32:49Speaker 1: Brooks Plumbing for any and all of your plumbing wants
- 32:51Speaker 1: and needs. Called Jacolate at Brooks Plumbing the phone number
- 32:54Speaker 1: two one four three six eight thirty eight thirty eight.
- 32:57Speaker 1: That's two one four three six eight thirty eight thirty
- 33:00Speaker 1: again for Brooks Plumbing the website brooks Plumbingtexas dot com.
- 33:07Speaker 1: Another story that Trey sent me the other day that
- 33:10Speaker 1: is quite alarming, but it also reminded me of something
- 33:13Speaker 1: that I've been meaning to bring up with you guys,
- 33:16Speaker 1: So here we go, are you right? An invasive species
- 33:21Speaker 1: of worm is taking over the state of Texas. The
- 33:25Speaker 1: hammerhead flatworm is toxic and it's taking Texas by storm.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Not only can the nasty little worms carry parasites, but
- 33:31Speaker 1: they can also grow to over one foot long. And
- 33:35Speaker 1: if you find one and decide, you know what, I'm
- 33:37Speaker 1: just gonna cut this thing in half, they'll just regenerate. Yeah,
- 33:43Speaker 1: So it's tough of nightmares. The species is not new
- 33:46Speaker 1: to Texas. They've actually been around for quite a while.
- 33:48Speaker 1: The recent heavy rains from Hurricane Beryl have brought up
- 33:52Speaker 1: quite a few of these things, and the worms thrive
- 33:54Speaker 1: in tropical wet climates. Like most gross stuff, so they're
- 33:59Speaker 1: enjoying all of that. Hammerhead worms, though, are not the
- 34:03Speaker 1: kind of toxic that can take out a human. It's
- 34:06Speaker 1: also highly unlikely that they would harm your pets. Mainly,
- 34:09Speaker 1: they wreak havoc on the ecosystem, so it's they're bad.
- 34:12Speaker 1: So if you happen to see one, you're encouraged to
- 34:16Speaker 1: kill it. Although if I'm not really sure how you
- 34:19Speaker 1: kill this thing, because if you cut it in half,
- 34:21Speaker 1: it just regrows. This sounds like like a Jason Vorhees,
- 34:24Speaker 1: you know, Freddy Krueger kind of thing. Were you gonna
- 34:28Speaker 1: spend a few hours trying to figure out how to
- 34:29Speaker 1: kill one of these things? And they just keep coming
- 34:31Speaker 1: back movie after movie.
- 34:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I just don't want to, like exactly, I don't
- 34:35Speaker 2: want to like cut it up. And then I've now
- 34:37Speaker 2: created an entire garden of these worms instead of just
- 34:40Speaker 2: having the one, yeah that will eventually die off anyway, right, okay, exactly,
- 34:46Speaker 2: And it's not gonna hurt the pets, it's not going
- 34:47Speaker 2: to hurt us. Okay, Well, and what does it look like? Then?
- 34:52Speaker 2: I keep an eye out.
- 34:54Speaker 1: I'm glad you asked, because I'm now showing you it
- 34:57Speaker 1: is striped, so it looks kind of like it's had
- 35:00Speaker 1: a black and white skunk like stripe across its back,
- 35:03Speaker 1: and then that is framed on either side by sort
- 35:06Speaker 1: of an orangish yellow and then it does have a
- 35:10Speaker 1: hammer head type shape on the one end.
- 35:13Speaker 2: That is an interesting looking worm. Yeap, okay, so yeah,
- 35:18Speaker 2: I will be on the lookout now, and you just
- 35:22Speaker 2: pour salt on it like a slug.
- 35:25Speaker 1: So this is what's wrong with the article. It says
- 35:27Speaker 1: it's recommended to kill them immediately if he happened upon one,
- 35:30Speaker 1: but they don't tell you how to do.
- 35:31Speaker 2: It, right, Yeah, so that's uh, can you just look
- 35:36Speaker 2: up how to kill a worm?
- 35:37Speaker 1: I'm gonna go with squishing. Oh no, yeah, I'm gonna go.
- 35:41Speaker 1: I'm gonna say, just try to squish it really Yeah.
- 35:45Speaker 2: Okay, I guess. So that just sounds like it would
- 35:48Speaker 2: be a lot of effort and very gross.
- 35:51Speaker 1: Look, I mean it killed the bad guy, and it
- 35:54Speaker 1: killed one of the bad guys in leath the weapon two,
- 35:58Speaker 1: and they dropped the storage container on that guy after
- 36:00Speaker 1: he was kicking rigs a bunch, so it worked on him.
- 36:04Speaker 1: Squishing squishing the first terminator also worked, So I say,
- 36:07Speaker 1: try the try squishing.
- 36:10Speaker 2: That's that's the that's the recommended that's the the O'Malley
- 36:14Speaker 2: recommended way of killing the hammerheadworm.
- 36:18Speaker 1: Just about anything really, if you can squish it.
- 36:20Speaker 4: I was wondering if salt salt worked on him.
- 36:23Speaker 2: Now, yeah, yeah, I said the same thing.
- 36:27Speaker 1: I don't know, tray, because I don't live in a
- 36:29Speaker 1: house where we waste salt. It is eaten in large quantities.
- 36:34Speaker 2: It's also fifty seven cents for like four pounds of it.
- 36:37Speaker 2: So look, I think you'll be all right.
- 36:39Speaker 1: Yeah, but my foot is free. Now, speaking of hell worms,
- 36:47Speaker 1: have you guys seen the beach worms in Australia?
- 36:50Speaker 2: No?
- 36:51Speaker 1: No, okay, good, because I'm now going to give you
- 36:54Speaker 1: nightmare fuel for the rest of your lives. So these
- 36:57Speaker 1: hammerhead worms invading Texas sounds bad, but not when you
- 37:02Speaker 1: see what Australia has to contend with. All right, So
- 37:07Speaker 1: I'm now going to show you. I've seen this quite
- 37:09Speaker 1: a bit and it's terrified me every single time. I've
- 37:12Speaker 1: been intending for months to show you guys what an
- 37:16Speaker 1: Australian beachworm looks like. Are you ready?
- 37:19Speaker 2: Yep?
- 37:20Speaker 1: Keep this in mind if you ever go to Australia
- 37:22Speaker 1: along with all the other things that want to kill
- 37:24Speaker 1: you or gross you out. So the Australian beachworm is
- 37:30Speaker 1: absolutely the stuff of nightmares. Here you go. So in
- 37:35Speaker 1: this video, you got a guy on a beach in Australia.
- 37:38Speaker 1: He's got a fish, kind of like a sardine, right,
- 37:41Speaker 1: and he's at the edge of the water on a
- 37:43Speaker 1: beach and he's just kind of waving the fish over
- 37:47Speaker 1: the beach with the waters coming in on top of
- 37:49Speaker 1: the sand. And then beach worms. You see that little
- 37:57Speaker 1: thing come up out of the sand. Now it's trying
- 37:59Speaker 1: to get on that little sardine fish. It's about to
- 38:03Speaker 1: get worse. Do you have the little legs on it
- 38:04Speaker 1: and stuff? And guy pulls out pliers and grabs the
- 38:13Speaker 1: head of this beach worm. He's gonna pull it out. No,
- 38:22Speaker 1: that thing is like three and a half feet long.
- 38:25Speaker 1: That is an Australian beach worm. And I am never
- 38:28Speaker 1: going to Australia.
- 38:30Speaker 4: Yeah, what is it about that continent?
- 38:33Speaker 3: Like God just put everything, just took everything bad, multiplied
- 38:38Speaker 3: it by ten and then stuck it in Australia.
- 38:40Speaker 1: You know what it is. It's the ultimate no man's land.
- 38:43Speaker 1: Because in the water are deadly sharks. But on the
- 38:49Speaker 1: shore you've got all the other deadly stuff. You've got
- 38:53Speaker 1: these nasty, freaky looking beach worms. You've got spiders the
- 38:57Speaker 1: size of volkswagons. You've got snow snakes the size of
- 39:02Speaker 1: you know, entire cities.
- 39:04Speaker 3: Don't forget saltwater crocodiles. You have jellyfish that are humongous
- 39:09Speaker 3: and deadly. And even they even have a tiny little jellyfish.
- 39:12Speaker 3: It's tiny little octopus that will kill you.
- 39:14Speaker 2: Yeah. They have a jellyfish that's the size of your pinky,
- 39:18Speaker 2: like the tip of your pinky, and it can kill you. Yeah.
- 39:20Speaker 4: They also have one that are the size of volkswagons.
- 39:23Speaker 2: Yeah. They also have really hot chicks they do uh
- 39:29Speaker 2: and and kangaroos.
- 39:30Speaker 1: It'll fight you. Yeah. As if all that stuff's not bad,
- 39:33Speaker 1: the cute creatures will still fight you.
- 39:35Speaker 2: Yeah. But they keep the koalas high so they're adorable still.
- 39:38Speaker 2: Because if you know this, but eucalyptus has a marijuana
- 39:43Speaker 2: like effect on koalas, who are normally very violent.
- 39:47Speaker 1: Well there you go. I mean, even the koalas are violent,
- 39:50Speaker 1: I mean, and they have to be high. They have
- 39:53Speaker 1: to take edibles on a consistent basis, just to keep
- 39:55Speaker 1: from you know, you know, running roughshot over the entire continent.
- 39:59Speaker 2: That is, that is one percent.
- 40:01Speaker 1: That actually is the most Australian thing, if you think
- 40:03Speaker 1: about it, The most dangerous creature in and around Australia
- 40:07Speaker 1: would be the koala if it wasn't high on eucalyptus
- 40:12Speaker 1: all the time.
- 40:13Speaker 2: Yes, and it has also they also are notorious for
- 40:16Speaker 2: having chlamydia.
- 40:18Speaker 1: Well isn't that just you know, look, I mean, look,
- 40:22Speaker 1: if that.
- 40:24Speaker 4: Is that, why it's the Texas State mascot.
- 40:27Speaker 2: We had our own strand of chlamydia, my friend, we
- 40:31Speaker 2: had our own variant, the Texas State chlamytea variant which
- 40:36Speaker 2: we wouldn't think people would be proud of, but yes
- 40:38Speaker 2: they are.
- 40:41Speaker 1: Yeah, I think at this point you realize that even
- 40:43Speaker 1: if you were to take a vacation to Australia, before
- 40:45Speaker 1: you get on the plane, or even maybe before you
- 40:48Speaker 1: get off the plane, you have to do the hakka
- 40:50Speaker 1: thing just to prepare yourself.
- 40:54Speaker 2: Yeah, but they do say kangaroo meat is very is very.
- 40:56Speaker 4: Delightful, right, the hawka or the hot tua.
- 41:00Speaker 2: That should be a thing we need to we.
- 41:03Speaker 1: Need when when worlds collide, the Olympics is gonna look
- 41:08Speaker 1: really different.
- 41:09Speaker 4: Next time.

- 42:14Speaker 1: But would they still come up in the searches. Look
- 42:18Speaker 1: look for these smiling faces and you found the right spot.
- 42:21Speaker 1: One thing I needed to tell you guys about before
- 42:25Speaker 1: we break off for the weekend, and that is, do
- 42:30Speaker 1: you guys remember puberty? Yes? Do you remember? Do you?
- 42:36Speaker 1: Did you guys have issues with acne or anything when
- 42:38Speaker 1: you were going through it? You did? Did I did too.
- 42:42Speaker 1: Was it the really bad cystic kind or was it
- 42:45Speaker 1: just sort of like the normal average teenager kind.
- 42:48Speaker 2: Mine were on the my cheeks right here, just in
- 42:51Speaker 2: this kind of like in this line. But they weren't like,
- 42:55Speaker 2: they weren't gross pussy anything like that. They were just
- 42:57Speaker 2: kind of bumpy, rough skin.
- 43:00Speaker 4: Really, it was just normal teenage breakout.
- 43:03Speaker 1: I think mine was about normal as well. A couple
- 43:06Speaker 1: of times had a couple I was just like, oh
- 43:08Speaker 1: my god, what is this growing out of me? But
- 43:11Speaker 1: I remember there were I remember kids that went to
- 43:14Speaker 1: school with the jerks that had absolutely none and I
- 43:18Speaker 1: thought they were aliens. There's no way that can be
- 43:20Speaker 1: possible to have completely clear skin. And then there were
- 43:22Speaker 1: the kids that I felt really really bad for that
- 43:25Speaker 1: it looked like a pussy looking, you know, rocky mountains
- 43:29Speaker 1: all over them, and I really felt bad for them
- 43:32Speaker 1: because that's just awful. Also, as someone who likes to
- 43:35Speaker 1: pop those things, I would never have time to go
- 43:37Speaker 1: to school because for some reason, I never wanted the
- 43:40Speaker 1: white House, like, Okay, I got to get rid of
- 43:42Speaker 1: all this, but yeah, anyway, that's bad, don't do that.
- 43:44Speaker 1: But the reason I ask is because pimples are now
- 43:47Speaker 1: kind of cool. So you know how gen Z has
- 43:49Speaker 1: taken all the things that gave us a character in
- 43:53Speaker 1: our youth, it made us stronger. Well, they're trying to
- 43:56Speaker 1: soften all those things, right, Oh, gen Z is actually
- 44:00Speaker 1: embracing the pimples and they're embracing the acne. Not literally,
- 44:06Speaker 1: but they've kind of turned it into a fashion trend
- 44:09Speaker 1: because there's now a thing called pimple patches. Yep, the
- 44:13Speaker 1: Washington Post, but a big The Washington Post did a
- 44:16Speaker 1: big story on this recently, and the New York Post
- 44:19Speaker 1: did one as well. About pimple patches. They're little stickers
- 44:24Speaker 1: that go on your face and cover your zits. I
- 44:26Speaker 1: remember doing this when I was a kid. If I
- 44:28Speaker 1: had like a really bad ZiT, that I would get
- 44:30Speaker 1: one of those small round band aids and put on it.
- 44:34Speaker 1: But you know, gen Z has taken it a step
- 44:36Speaker 1: further and gone with outright pimple patches that are stickers.
- 44:40Speaker 1: They're medicated so they actually keep bacteria out and help
- 44:43Speaker 1: them heal. They're not brand new, but they say they've
- 44:46Speaker 1: been around a long time, but it was skin toned
- 44:49Speaker 1: or clear as they're trying to hide it. But these
- 44:52Speaker 1: new kinds are intentionally bold, almost like you're bragging about
- 44:56Speaker 1: how many zits you have.
- 44:59Speaker 2: Tray's face right now. This is why you want to
- 45:01Speaker 2: pay the five dollars just for that. Just get that
- 45:04Speaker 2: face every now and again. Pay for the Patreon just
- 45:07Speaker 2: to see his face.
- 45:09Speaker 1: Patreon dot com, size treehouse on air.
- 45:12Speaker 4: Yeah, and so infections are cool.
- 45:18Speaker 1: That the infection is cool, They're just they're looking at
- 45:20Speaker 1: it as it's unavoidable. So let's take a negative and
- 45:24Speaker 1: turn it into a positive. So let's take our medicated
- 45:28Speaker 1: acne patches and make them fun, colorful designs.
- 45:32Speaker 2: Yes. I found this out when Nicky's daughter walked into
- 45:36Speaker 2: the room and she had stars on her face and
- 45:39Speaker 2: like just like just like a couple, not like all
- 45:40Speaker 2: of her, but she just had a couple of stars.
- 45:42Speaker 2: And I was like, and she does that stuff away,
- 45:44Speaker 2: you know kids like ride on their hands and stuff
- 45:46Speaker 2: like that, and her classmates will do that stuff and
- 45:48Speaker 2: like draw, and I was like, what is on your face?
- 45:51Speaker 2: And she's like, they're for acne. It gets rid of
- 45:54Speaker 2: it and you don't have to worry about pumping it.
- 45:56Speaker 2: And they all every kid And now when I walk
- 46:00Speaker 2: around I see them, I see kids wearing them everywhere.
- 46:03Speaker 2: Look at the kids working at the you know, the
- 46:05Speaker 2: fast food places or like the grocery stores. Whatever, we'll
- 46:08Speaker 2: have like stars or rainbows or little unicorns or whatever.
- 46:11Speaker 2: So they're like, hey, we're not embarrassed anymore. And then
- 46:14Speaker 2: they get compliments on it from other the gen zs.
- 46:21Speaker 3: So do they realize that you're, you know, chids, Are
- 46:23Speaker 3: you gonna have pimples rest of your life? So you're
- 46:24Speaker 3: gonna be, you know, forty years old and have little
- 46:26Speaker 3: stars on your face? How about some clear sill and
- 46:29Speaker 3: a good good, you know, good facial cleaning regiment.
- 46:34Speaker 1: Or or a straight pin oh growth?
- 46:37Speaker 2: Do you watch do you watch the pimple popping videos
- 46:40Speaker 2: on the YouTube?
- 46:41Speaker 1: No, that's disgusting. Yeah, that's that's too much.
- 46:44Speaker 2: Now.
- 46:44Speaker 1: I think what happens is, uh so, like when you're young,
- 46:47Speaker 1: you'll have like the stars and rainbows whatever on your
- 46:49Speaker 1: face for the pimple patches. I guess when you reach
- 46:53Speaker 1: our age and your and your gen X, that's just
- 46:55Speaker 1: like the tear drop tattoo.
- 46:59Speaker 3: Just it's God's cruel little joke, because I mean, I
- 47:02Speaker 3: think everyone you know, when you're in your teenagers, you're
- 47:04Speaker 3: like gotta get wait to be an adults. I don't
- 47:05Speaker 3: have pimples anymore, and then you you turn fifty and
- 47:08Speaker 3: you still get pimples, and you're like, oh god, Yeah.
- 47:13Speaker 1: That's one of the things. That's one of the things
- 47:14Speaker 1: that your parents would tell you when you're young. It's
- 47:16Speaker 1: I don't worry they're gonna go away, but they never do.
- 47:18Speaker 1: You'll always end up with one at some point.
- 47:20Speaker 2: Yeah. I haven't had one in a while, so I
- 47:23Speaker 2: but I would like to try the Like, we need
- 47:25Speaker 2: to start making the pimple patches for gen x.
- 47:29Speaker 1: Oh, they already make those raj It's called stick your
- 47:31Speaker 1: face in a bowl of lucky charms. Not only are
- 47:37Speaker 1: you trendy, but you've also got a stack.
- 47:43Speaker 4: What other infections are they going to make? Cool?
- 47:46Speaker 1: Yeah? If gen Z is making zits cool with pimple patches,
- 47:50Speaker 1: I can't wait to see what they do with gonrhea
- 47:54Speaker 1: clap slap clap emoji. You know, maybe this next generation
- 48:04Speaker 1: isn't gonna be.
- 48:05Speaker 2: So bad, and you'll know who has gonna.
- 48:15Speaker 1: I can't wait to see that line of athleisure at Lululemon.
- 48:22Speaker 1: Thanks for hanging out with us inside the Treehouse. We
- 48:24Speaker 1: will see you next time. I have a great one.
