- 0:04Speaker 1: your hosts me Gia Judice, Daisy Kent, and Jennifer Kessler. Hi, guys,
- 0:12Speaker 1: welcome back to another episode of Dirty Rush. From pregaming
- 0:15Speaker 1: rituals to legendary pre party moments, we are diving deep
- 0:19Speaker 1: into the chaos, laughs, and memories that make sorority and
- 0:22Speaker 1: fraternity life unforgettable. Today we are pre partying with Bachelor
- 0:26Speaker 1: Nation before jingle Ball. They are here to spill all
- 0:29Speaker 1: the stories from the good old college days and give
- 0:32Speaker 1: us the inside scoop on the ultimate pre party scene.
- 0:35Speaker 1: So we have with us now the drum roll please,
- 0:38Speaker 1: the beautiful Trista Sutter. Hello, my gorgeous friend.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Hi, I'm so sad I'm not seeing you in person.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I know, so am. I you should be here
- 0:46Speaker 1: with us? Doesn't feel right?
- 0:48Speaker 2: I would love that.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Well, listen, you can't party with us at jingle Ball,
- 0:51Speaker 1: but we're going to talk about partying and you and college. Trista,
- 0:56Speaker 1: where did you go to school?
- 0:57Speaker 3: Indiana University, India undergrad and I went to Miami for
- 1:01Speaker 3: graduate school.
- 1:02Speaker 1: And what sorority were you in?
- 1:04Speaker 2: I was in Alpha ky Omega.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Okay, did you ever, or I'm sure you did do
- 1:09Speaker 1: a lot of pregaming in your day.
- 1:11Speaker 3: Well I could so for football games. We couldn't because
- 1:14Speaker 3: I or I couldn't because I was a red stepper,
- 1:17Speaker 3: I you know, danced at the halftime at the football games.
- 1:21Speaker 3: So I could never go to like tailgating or anything
- 1:25Speaker 3: for football games. But you know, if there was any
- 1:29Speaker 3: other pregaming, Yeah, did they call it?
- 1:31Speaker 1: Like, I don't know, because you're younger than me, A
- 1:34Speaker 1: lot younger than me.
- 1:35Speaker 3: Not a lot. That's not true. I am not a
- 1:38Speaker 3: lot younger on you. I'm fifty. I'm fifty three.
- 1:42Speaker 1: You are I am. Bob Guiney just told me he
- 1:45Speaker 1: was fifty four, is like, are you sure you're fifty three? Wow,
- 1:50Speaker 1: I'm fifty seven, so you still baby.
- 1:52Speaker 3: See see No, But yeah, you're right, we're right around
- 1:56Speaker 3: the same age. I mean, if I was a freshman,
- 1:59Speaker 3: we could have been at the same school if at
- 2:01Speaker 3: the same time.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Four fifty five. Yes, that's very true. And they did
- 2:05Speaker 1: not call it pregaming when I was in college. They
- 2:07Speaker 1: call it that.
- 2:08Speaker 2: That's what they call it now.
- 2:09Speaker 1: That's what they call it now. You don't know that term, No,
- 2:12Speaker 1: I don't know what, Triusta, that's gonna be hard since
- 2:16Speaker 1: that's what this podcast is about. So let me define it.
- 2:19Speaker 1: And by the way, I'm sure I'm not going to
- 2:20Speaker 1: define it well, but whatever. Well, okay, So it's when
- 2:24Speaker 1: you party first, it's the party before the party. So
- 2:27Speaker 1: and you're going to find out more about that very
- 2:30Speaker 1: soon when your kids go to college, is my guest. Yes,
- 2:34Speaker 1: although I think my kids started saying it in high school,
- 2:36Speaker 1: so before a football game, but even before a party.
- 2:39Speaker 2: I feel like, I mean, don't we do that.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Like I was just going to a dinner, a big dinner,
- 2:46Speaker 3: and a friend of mine invited a bunch of us
- 2:49Speaker 3: to have like contail hour before we went to the
- 2:53Speaker 3: So it's like pregaming.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Yes, right, that is that is in essence, I think
- 2:57Speaker 1: that is what pregaming is. And but in college I
- 3:00Speaker 1: feel like it has for these guys, it has just
- 3:02Speaker 1: this whole, this meaning to it. It's like so exciting
- 3:06Speaker 1: to go to the pregame and you want to go
- 3:08Speaker 1: because you want to have a couple drinks and maybe
- 3:09Speaker 1: take the edge off. Yeah, it's like a you know,
- 3:12Speaker 1: it's kind of like a ritual there. So well for
- 3:15Speaker 1: our sake, and anyone who's listening, who is around our age.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Did you have parties before the parties listen?
- 3:22Speaker 3: I don't remember a lot because I'm fifty three, But
- 3:26Speaker 3: what I do remember is that, yes, if there was,
- 3:30Speaker 3: if there was a party, then we were there, my
- 3:32Speaker 3: friends and I, you know, and I feel like we
- 3:35Speaker 3: did go to like the late night parties, especially when
- 3:38Speaker 3: I lived in Miami. We went and you know, I
- 3:40Speaker 3: of course wasn't in strorety life at that point, but
- 3:43Speaker 3: I feel like you went out so late when you
- 3:45Speaker 3: were in college or after that. Yes, if you get
- 3:50Speaker 3: together and there's something else going on, you'd have, you know,
- 3:53Speaker 3: a quick drink or a roadie or whatever.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, well yeah us too. So did you ever
- 4:01Speaker 1: start out the night in college? And I'm sure the
- 4:03Speaker 1: answer is yes, like it is for all of us,
- 4:05Speaker 1: all good intentions and not make it to the actual party,
- 4:08Speaker 1: because I think that's right, right right.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:14Speaker 3: I mean it's I'm kind of thinking that maybe I
- 4:18Speaker 3: shouldn't be saying all this because maybe my kids will
- 4:20Speaker 3: listen and then they're going to.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Be like, oh, well, mom, mom did pregaming.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Guess what they're going to know you did pregaming pretty quickly,
- 4:26Speaker 1: so you're not gonna be able to hide.
- 4:27Speaker 3: Yeah, that's true, but you know, in college I was
- 4:33Speaker 3: old enough. In high school not so much. But yeah,
- 4:36Speaker 3: I feel like you definitely have good intentions of maybe
- 4:39Speaker 3: having a drink or two and then if you're having
- 4:42Speaker 3: lots of fun and you just keep the pregame gaming.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Yeah why not. Yeah, Well that's what we talked about
- 4:48Speaker 1: with some of these kids that and they're actually the
- 4:52Speaker 1: kids from the Bachelor and the Bachelorette that I've been
- 4:55Speaker 1: talking to, So like, who so talk to, Well, Bob
- 4:59Speaker 1: Guinea certainly not a kid, but we just talked to Jonathan,
- 5:04Speaker 1: Charity Mercedes. It's interesting because they have so many specifics
- 5:09Speaker 1: right about this, so stories of them going to the
- 5:14Speaker 1: pregame and somebody was telling me just now about who
- 5:19Speaker 1: was it. No, it was Charity. How she had twelve
- 5:21Speaker 1: vodka shots at one particular pregame and then got on
- 5:25Speaker 1: the back of a pickup truck to go to the
- 5:26Speaker 1: actual party and clearly didn't make it and then had
- 5:30Speaker 1: to use the brassy hook where they she got so
- 5:33Speaker 1: sick she had to put her that's what they call it,
- 5:35Speaker 1: the fingers down the throat. I don't know, Trista, I
- 5:37Speaker 1: don't know what to tell you. They got the Brassi hook,
- 5:39Speaker 1: they got names for everything.
- 5:41Speaker 2: I had no clue.
- 5:42Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I mean, okay, so listen. I didn't ever
- 5:45Speaker 3: do twelve vodka shots in pregame, but we did have
- 5:50Speaker 3: a tradition at Indiana on your twenty first birthday to
- 5:54Speaker 3: do twenty one shots. And I think I got to
- 5:58Speaker 3: nineteen oh, and I was so froom stuff because my
- 6:01Speaker 3: friends were like, you guys have to you have to
- 6:04Speaker 3: go home. You are not going to do two more shots.
- 6:07Speaker 3: And I was like, what, it's it's my twenty first time.
- 6:12Speaker 4: I want to end up in the hospital.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Right, It's not a birthday. It's not a twenty first
- 6:17Speaker 1: if I don't end up hospitalized, right, right.
- 6:20Speaker 3: And actually, my sorority sister on her twenty first birthday,
- 6:24Speaker 3: same thing, she tried to do twenty one. I don't
- 6:26Speaker 3: know if she made it or not, but we get
- 6:28Speaker 3: back to the sorority house.
- 6:29Speaker 2: And she gets up.
- 6:31Speaker 3: I think someone had laid her down, just said go
- 6:33Speaker 3: to sleep. She gets up and tries to go to
- 6:36Speaker 3: the bathroom and walks right into the doorframe and broke
- 6:39Speaker 3: her nose.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Oh well, yeah, definitely wake you up if you're in
- 6:44Speaker 1: a you know, a drug up. Yeah, right up. My
- 6:49Speaker 1: son was actually we were in South Carolina and he
- 6:53Speaker 1: was out for twenty first and he projectile vomited I guess,
- 6:57Speaker 1: across like a whole bar of people. Yeah, it was
- 7:01Speaker 1: not a good scene. So right, beware of the twenty
- 7:05Speaker 1: first young Oh yeah.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Stay far away, yeah, stay far far away.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Yeah. Did you ever do anything like a little torrid
- 7:15Speaker 1: like you know right before? Did you ever drink too much?
- 7:18Speaker 1: And I know you did because we all did hook
- 7:21Speaker 1: up with the wrong guy? Yeah, well yeah, I mean,
- 7:25Speaker 1: of course. Yeah. I'm trying to come up with questions
- 7:27Speaker 1: because the truth is, we didn't really officially pregame.
- 7:30Speaker 2: We didn't officially pregame. It's not like a it's me.
- 7:34Speaker 3: It was a thing like we would have when we
- 7:37Speaker 3: lived not in our sority house, but when we lived
- 7:41Speaker 3: in like a house on campus or off campus, we
- 7:46Speaker 3: would have like what did we call them? It wasn't
- 7:50Speaker 3: pregame drinks, but it was gosh, I wish I knew
- 7:53Speaker 3: the term. We would have cocktails like just before as
- 7:56Speaker 3: we were getting ready, right, you know what I mean.
- 7:58Speaker 3: So if that's considered gaming, then yeah.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Well one of these kids, they were adults. I shouldn't
- 8:04Speaker 1: really say that, but one of them said that his
- 8:06Speaker 1: pregaming started in the shower. He would get like, I
- 8:11Speaker 1: don't even know what he was talking about. He was
- 8:12Speaker 1: somebody was handing him drinks as he was like bathing,
- 8:16Speaker 1: getting like, well, that's the way to pregame.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Well, I feel like we did that, like my girlfriends
- 8:20Speaker 3: and I would if we were on girls trips. Even
- 8:22Speaker 3: to this day, I feel like if we're on a
- 8:24Speaker 3: girls trip and we would just have a cocktail, like
- 8:26Speaker 3: we would have someone like maybe if we're staying at
- 8:30Speaker 3: a hotel, have them bring it up to our room
- 8:32Speaker 3: while we're getting ready in the bathroom waiting.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Half the people here that I'm talking to have come
- 8:36Speaker 1: in with cocktails before jingle Ball.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Exactly right.
- 8:40Speaker 1: They're parading them.
- 8:41Speaker 2: In front of me.
- 8:41Speaker 1: It's actually not very nice because I have gotten nothing.
- 8:45Speaker 1: I know. The walking was Scotch and mimosa and everything else.
- 8:49Speaker 4: Not very nice.
- 8:50Speaker 2: They should ask you what you want.
- 8:51Speaker 3: Rude, or you should require it. Hey, if you're going
- 8:54Speaker 3: to walk in this room, you better bring me.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Don't you worry. Somebody was talking about how they try
- 8:58Speaker 1: to pregame with asso Martini's because just to kind of
- 9:03Speaker 1: know that it's gonna it'll keep you awake.
- 9:05Speaker 3: So I don't drink coffee or really caffeine for that matter,
- 9:09Speaker 3: So I yeah, I can't do one of those drinks.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Do you survive without caffeine? Do they give you to
- 9:15Speaker 1: give you headaches or something?
- 9:17Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 9:18Speaker 1: Good, I don't.
- 9:18Speaker 3: I'm it does not go well with my body and
- 9:22Speaker 3: my head or anything. Yeah, so I don't. But but yeah,
- 9:26Speaker 3: bring me a Moscow mule or a glass of wine
- 9:29Speaker 3: or something. Although wine tends to like if I'm tired red,
- 9:31Speaker 3: which is my drink, it maaves me tired. Right, Yeah,
- 9:34Speaker 3: so I want to start with a cocktail.
- 9:35Speaker 2: But what is that saying? Liquor before beer?
- 9:38Speaker 1: Never fear something beer before liquor, never sicker. Yeah, yeah,
- 9:42Speaker 1: we also talked about that. See, look we are vibing
- 9:45Speaker 1: with the young EN's. That's yeah, we know, we know,
- 9:49Speaker 1: we know, we know better than they do. I mean
- 9:51Speaker 1: we've we've lived too, I know a lot longer, lived
- 9:54Speaker 1: a lot longer. I tell my kids that all the time.
- 9:58Speaker 1: I know you think that I don't know anything, and
- 10:01Speaker 1: then I'm just like a big door. But believe me
- 10:03Speaker 1: when I tell you I'm laughing at you.
- 10:06Speaker 3: Okay, exactly, I know I know these things. Yeah, yeah,
- 10:09Speaker 3: I'm a little scared because of what I know. Like
- 10:12Speaker 3: like for my twenty first birthday, when I did the
- 10:15Speaker 3: nineteen shots, I actually I remember this.
- 10:17Speaker 2: There was a pay phone.
- 10:20Speaker 3: If that doesn't age you, what does Oh there was
- 10:22Speaker 3: a payphone in the bathroom of this like bar.
- 10:27Speaker 1: That we were at killed a drunk dialing, didn't jayler Bar.
- 10:30Speaker 3: I called my mom on my twenty first birthday and
- 10:34Speaker 3: I was like, Mom.
- 10:36Speaker 2: I did nineteen shots. You'd be so proud of me.
- 10:39Speaker 1: And she was like, what, Oh my god, Well, I
- 10:42Speaker 1: can't sleep tonight, Trista. I have to tell you something.
- 10:45Speaker 1: It tracks so beautifully that you drunk dial your mom
- 10:49Speaker 1: like you are that sweet, adorable all American girl, Like
- 10:54Speaker 1: I was drunk dialing any guy that would pick up
- 10:57Speaker 1: the phone. It didn't matter. Please tell me you love me,
- 11:00Speaker 1: And you're like drunk dialing your mother. It's just per Yeah,
- 11:06Speaker 1: lucky mom.
- 11:10Speaker 2: That is so funny. I've never thought of it.
- 11:12Speaker 1: And I'll bet your daughter. I'll bet your the mother
- 11:14Speaker 1: your daughter will be doing the same. My daughter wouldn't
- 11:17Speaker 1: drunk dial me if I was the last person on her.
- 11:20Speaker 1: She's not stupid, because I would handle it like your mother,
- 11:24Speaker 1: you get yours to give.
- 11:26Speaker 2: You really well.
- 11:27Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I would be like what, I'm coming there
- 11:30Speaker 3: right now, tell me where you are the hair?
- 11:36Speaker 2: No, my mom was great.
- 11:37Speaker 3: She was great and didn't well, at least I don't
- 11:40Speaker 3: remember what she said.
- 11:41Speaker 1: But how could you? How could you? All right, lady,
- 11:46Speaker 1: thank you for coming on. We miss you here.
- 11:48Speaker 3: I know.
- 11:49Speaker 2: I tell everyone high, I give everyone a hug.
- 11:51Speaker 1: I certainly will be there. I certainly will. Okay, talk
- 11:54Speaker 1: soon than yeah, okay, by So next we have the
- 12:13Speaker 1: beautiful Gabby l Nikki, thank you so much for coming on.
- 12:16Speaker 1: And you, if I read my notes correctly, went to
- 12:20Speaker 1: the University of Mississippi. I did.
- 12:21Speaker 4: I went to Ole Miss Hatty Toddy.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Wow, what sorority were you in? I was a py
- 12:26Speaker 1: fi Okay, yeah, so I'm sure that most of our
- 12:29Speaker 1: listeners know, like that is the place I think to go.
- 12:32Speaker 1: I went to University of Texas. So like those southern
- 12:34Speaker 1: schools and their greek life, it's huge.
- 12:37Speaker 4: Oh yeah, it's huge.
- 12:38Speaker 5: So Ole miss It's insane, right, It's like so intimidating.
- 12:43Speaker 5: And I'm from Vermont, so like, we don't have sororities
- 12:45Speaker 5: where I'm from. And when I got to Ole Miss,
- 12:47Speaker 5: I was like, oh my gosh, is there like a
- 12:49Speaker 5: group shot I'm not a part of. Like I didn't
- 12:51Speaker 5: have the recommendation letters.
- 12:53Speaker 4: I didn't have anything. It was the most intimidating thing
- 12:55Speaker 4: of my.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Life, the whole process.
- 12:57Speaker 5: Yes, yeah, and my gamma Kai is the one who
- 12:59Speaker 5: wrote my recommendation letter and got me into PI five.
- 13:02Speaker 4: But I didn't want to.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Be a five ft We have to do this, we
- 13:05Speaker 1: honestly like, because I love these stories. This is part
- 13:07Speaker 1: of what is so wonderful and fascinating to me about
- 13:11Speaker 1: Dirty Rush, about our podcast. It's just that journey is
- 13:14Speaker 1: so different for everyone. But we are talking about something
- 13:18Speaker 1: a little different today. We are talking about pregaming. I
- 13:21Speaker 1: love it so and I've had only a couple of guests.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Well too, I want to say, uh, Trista and Bob,
- 13:29Speaker 1: who are both a little older than you, and the
- 13:32Speaker 1: three of us were kind of commiserating. Never heard of
- 13:34Speaker 1: that term when we were younger, right, so it's new
- 13:36Speaker 1: for us. But clearly you went to college and you
- 13:39Speaker 1: did a lot of that. Oh we did, right, Oh,
- 13:41Speaker 1: we pregamed hard, all right, So tell me a little
- 13:44Speaker 1: bit about what that looked like.
- 13:45Speaker 5: Okay, Well, first of all, in Oxford, Mississippi, when I
- 13:49Speaker 5: went to school there, the bars closed at midnight, so
- 13:52Speaker 5: you had to start pregaming at like five pm. So
- 13:55Speaker 5: you like got out of class and then you like
- 13:57Speaker 5: started your pregaming. Okay, So it's a marathon, not a sprint.
- 14:00Speaker 5: That's what we always said, is it's a marathon, not
- 14:02Speaker 5: a sprint. And we never lost a party because we
- 14:04Speaker 5: were terrible at football that season or all the seasons
- 14:07Speaker 5: that I went there.
- 14:08Speaker 4: Actually, and I mean.
- 14:10Speaker 5: We had a party house. We used to call it
- 14:12Speaker 5: like a frat house. It was a gorgeous s frat house.
- 14:14Speaker 5: I mean, very nicely decorated, and we kept it clean.
- 14:16Speaker 5: But we always through the big pregames. I was in
- 14:19Speaker 5: charge of the music.
- 14:20Speaker 1: So you can actually have alcohol at the house. Well
- 14:23Speaker 1: I didn't live in the sorority house, but we but
- 14:25Speaker 1: you still had, oh your house. I'm sorry, I thought
- 14:28Speaker 1: you made the sorority house leinkally.
- 14:30Speaker 5: I maybe it wasn't of age every year, but we
- 14:32Speaker 5: did not alone. We have the alcohol there, not in
- 14:36Speaker 5: the sorority house. That is, we couldn't even have men
- 14:38Speaker 5: in the sorority house and Miss Sippy it's considered a brothel. Actually,
- 14:41Speaker 5: if you have men in your sorority house. It was crazy,
- 14:44Speaker 5: but prebaming. I mean some of the videos I have
- 14:47Speaker 5: are probably incriminating. We would be on our countertop. I
- 14:50Speaker 5: mean it was crazy because you couldn't be on elevated surfaces,
- 14:53Speaker 5: as you know, in a sorority.
- 14:54Speaker 1: I don't know that. I don't know what you're talking about.
- 14:57Speaker 4: We would get sent to standard.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Even yes, I'm gonna get to believe why we've been
- 15:04Speaker 1: doing this podcast for a minute, everyone talks about this stuff. No,
- 15:07Speaker 1: we would get I'll get you thrown out of well,
- 15:09Speaker 1: I guess you're out of you anyway.
- 15:11Speaker 5: Am I no longer an alumni? Like they're gonna kick
- 15:13Speaker 5: me out of the alumni? No, no, but we would
- 15:15Speaker 5: get sent to standards. If you are on elevated surfaces,
- 15:18Speaker 5: if you were swearing on social media, they would like
- 15:20Speaker 5: comment like a little like angel emoji or like a heart,
- 15:23Speaker 5: and it would be like.
- 15:24Speaker 4: We're watching you.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, And then.
- 15:26Speaker 5: You get sent to standards and you have the whole
- 15:28Speaker 5: panel there I did get sent to standards, yes, not
- 15:32Speaker 5: for like dancing on elevated surfaces. I swore on my
- 15:36Speaker 5: Snapchat story once and I got sent to.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Standards for that, But it was you lived to tell
- 15:42Speaker 1: the story.
- 15:42Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, it's we're here now, it's fun.
- 15:46Speaker 1: I mean I think that pregaming from what I've been hearing,
- 15:49Speaker 1: is like kind of like the time to get wild
- 15:52Speaker 1: and maybe like.
- 15:53Speaker 4: It's more fun than the party.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Yeah that's you're not alone and saying that because you
- 15:58Speaker 1: choose the music.
- 15:58Speaker 4: We used to have a karaoke machine. I mean we
- 16:00Speaker 4: would go so hard. We had guitar hero, we had
- 16:03Speaker 4: just I mean we were.
- 16:04Speaker 5: Going so hard at the pregame, like no one wanted
- 16:06Speaker 5: to leave, right, So we go to the bars and
- 16:08Speaker 5: then we have the post game. So then everyone come
- 16:10Speaker 5: over after the bars because they closed at midnight. So
- 16:13Speaker 5: we would just party at our house after the bars too.
- 16:16Speaker 4: It was so fun. I mean, do you have to
- 16:18Speaker 4: go back?
- 16:18Speaker 1: Did you have like a signature drink? I look at
- 16:23Speaker 1: that look on your face. You totally had a signature drink.
- 16:25Speaker 5: So it depends on what mood I wanted to spring out,
- 16:27Speaker 5: Like what alter you go? Do I want to be
- 16:29Speaker 5: tonight I am. People think I'm a psycho. I love Gin.
- 16:34Speaker 5: I loved gin and I loved it in college. Like truly,
- 16:37Speaker 5: I might be crazy. So like if I was feeling
- 16:40Speaker 5: really wild, I would do a gen Tonic. Otherwise my
- 16:43Speaker 5: drink was Vodka Rebel sugar free, always, Vodka Rebel Game days,
- 16:47Speaker 5: Vodka Rebel.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Well. A lot of a lot of our guests have
- 16:50Speaker 1: said that, like an espresso martini is the way to
- 16:53Speaker 1: go because then you get some stamina from that, right,
- 16:56Speaker 1: But I guess a red Bull too.
- 16:57Speaker 5: We didn't have that really like back I don't know.
- 17:00Speaker 5: I guess it was like eight years ago.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Now, right, they didn't really do that.
- 17:03Speaker 5: We didn't really do that. So like you weren't going
- 17:05Speaker 5: to the bar and asking for an espresso martini. I
- 17:07Speaker 5: was like vodka red Bull sugar free because I can't
- 17:11Speaker 5: have that much sugar, right, And it gives you wings,
- 17:14Speaker 5: it really does.
- 17:14Speaker 4: That's their like it gives you wings. Yeah, there's slogans
- 17:16Speaker 4: like Redbell gives you wings. It truly does.
- 17:18Speaker 1: I got to have one before jingle Ball tonight.
- 17:20Speaker 5: You should, and I mean you forget red Bull exists,
- 17:24Speaker 5: I think, and then you try one you're.
- 17:26Speaker 4: Like, this is actually exactly what I needed. Vodka in there.
- 17:29Speaker 4: You're so good.
- 17:31Speaker 1: Did you ever not make it to the game game
- 17:33Speaker 1: because the pregame got too.
- 17:35Speaker 4: Absolutely out of control the marathon on sprint? Wow, girls,
- 17:38Speaker 4: get there. You just have to rally.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Now, give us a little bit of the specifics of that.
- 17:41Speaker 1: So you did you pace yourself? Did you know going
- 17:44Speaker 1: in only have one an hour only?
- 17:48Speaker 5: It's more just like just you can like sleep when
- 17:52Speaker 5: you're dead, like just get with it. Like really, it's
- 17:56Speaker 5: just like you have your girls and it's like okay,
- 17:58Speaker 5: you're like a little okay, it's fine, just like have
- 18:01Speaker 5: a water or just have the Red Bull, maybe no vodka,
- 18:04Speaker 5: and then you're like good.
- 18:05Speaker 4: I mean, I always made it to the event.
- 18:09Speaker 1: I feel proud of you. Strangely, I don't know what
- 18:12Speaker 1: that's about much, but like I don't know, I'm proud
- 18:14Speaker 1: of you that you could just keep drinking for hours.
- 18:16Speaker 5: Well, I think you just become so conditioned when you're
- 18:19Speaker 5: at an SEC school from like game days because they
- 18:23Speaker 5: start at seven am, So right, you start pregaming at
- 18:26Speaker 5: seven am. You have your Chick fil A and you've
- 18:28Speaker 5: got a mimosa, and you start and then you just.
- 18:31Speaker 4: I don't know, you just kind of figure it out.
- 18:33Speaker 4: I mean, I guess you learn your liv I want to.
- 18:34Speaker 5: Go to miss Ole, miss was actually the most fun
- 18:38Speaker 5: time you talk about a pregame, like you should go
- 18:40Speaker 5: to a pregame there actually like the growth.
- 18:42Speaker 1: I'm trying to think how I'm gonna justify that to
- 18:44Speaker 1: just show up at a pregame somewhere.
- 18:46Speaker 4: Let's just please please, No, it's so it's so fun.
- 18:49Speaker 5: If there's one college town you should go to, it
- 18:52Speaker 5: is Oxford.
- 18:53Speaker 4: They call it the Velvet Ditch because.
- 18:55Speaker 5: It's in the middle of Mississippi and like, Mississippi is
- 18:58Speaker 5: not really that gorgeous. Maybe the coast, but it's this
- 19:01Speaker 5: beautiful town in the middle of like nothing.
- 19:03Speaker 1: Wow, And it's so great. And I love textas I
- 19:06Speaker 1: loved Austin.
- 19:07Speaker 4: My fiance's brother played football Texas.
- 19:10Speaker 3: Wow.
- 19:10Speaker 1: Yeah, but you're engaged. Sorry, guys, we're gonna go back
- 19:27Speaker 1: to pre Look we sort of have the same ring.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Wait really yeah, I love it gorgeous. Okay, sorry, let's
- 19:34Speaker 1: focus all right, So pregaming. Was there any particular music
- 19:39Speaker 1: that you guys loved during pregaming?
- 19:41Speaker 4: I bring up my Spotify.
- 19:42Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean I was listening to my college pregame playlist.
- 19:46Speaker 4: On the way.
- 19:46Speaker 5: Okay, guys, drove up from Newport this morning and I
- 19:49Speaker 5: actually was listening to my college pregame.
- 19:51Speaker 1: Please tell us And what's on it?
- 19:54Speaker 5: A lot of rap but like also ed M my friends.
- 19:57Speaker 5: I'm sorry, like just India? Is that the elect rick
- 20:00Speaker 5: electric dance music?
- 20:01Speaker 1: Got it? Okay? Okay, okay, I.
- 20:04Speaker 4: Mean that's just what rolled off the tongue. I think
- 20:06Speaker 4: that right is what it is.
- 20:07Speaker 5: Right, but like not like aggressive, like not like scrillus
- 20:11Speaker 5: like wow, like not too much right, but like fun remixes.
- 20:16Speaker 5: We love this song called Big Booty Mix. There was
- 20:19Speaker 5: one version of Big Booty Mix we would listen to,
- 20:22Speaker 5: and it's basically a mashup of every banger song that
- 20:26Speaker 5: you love and they put it into this mix that's
- 20:29Speaker 5: like the best mix ever. And honestly, that's what we'll
- 20:32Speaker 5: keep you going.
- 20:32Speaker 4: Could you send it to music? Yeah, well, they have
- 20:35Speaker 4: so many volumes of it.
- 20:36Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know what you listen to, but
- 20:37Speaker 1: I feel cool just having it.
- 20:39Speaker 4: Yeah, it's on SoundCloud.
- 20:40Speaker 1: It is not a big deal, Okay, I could just
- 20:42Speaker 1: get it.
- 20:42Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean SoundCloud's like I feel like kind of
- 20:45Speaker 4: under the radar.
- 20:46Speaker 1: I don't know SoundCloud.
- 20:47Speaker 5: SoundCloud was big when we were in college. It was
- 20:49Speaker 5: like where you could find like remixes that weren't actually released,
- 20:52Speaker 5: but people really thought it was like so good on
- 20:54Speaker 5: ox but really.
- 20:55Speaker 4: Was big booty mix. All right, what about I'm a fraud,
- 20:58Speaker 4: I'm actually a fraud.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Again and all of this way over way over my
- 21:02Speaker 1: hat about this, maybe I'll be able to relate this.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Did you eat it pregaming? Was there always food just
- 21:07Speaker 1: to make sure you were coating your stomach or no?
- 21:10Speaker 5: Okay, we had girl dinner, which was obviously buttered noodles
- 21:13Speaker 5: with a little bit of palm.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Not obviously really, I don't know, I never okay. So
- 21:16Speaker 1: he just wanted to get the carbs in.
- 21:18Speaker 5: So Fridays at the sorority house we're called fried Fridays, okay.
- 21:21Speaker 5: So we would go and get fried Fridays and we
- 21:23Speaker 5: would load up like to got boxes with like fried
- 21:27Speaker 5: mac and cheese bites, curly fries, like the most disgusting
- 21:31Speaker 5: stuff ever. But like when you came home from the bars,
- 21:34Speaker 5: it was not disgusting. I mean we were like cooking
- 21:36Speaker 5: it up I also used to make this stuff called
- 21:38Speaker 5: drunk pasta. I call it my drunk pasta. I mean
- 21:41Speaker 5: it was fire when I made it. I made it
- 21:43Speaker 5: for my parents once.
- 21:44Speaker 4: What is it think? So honestly, I couldn't even tell you.
- 21:47Speaker 5: It was some sort of like fettishchine alfredo nonsense. But
- 21:51Speaker 5: I made it from scratch, like I was like like
- 21:53Speaker 5: cooking up a roo. Wow, And then like it was
- 21:56Speaker 5: it was ridiculous.
- 21:56Speaker 1: Did you was it all for afterwards or were you
- 21:58Speaker 1: trying to coat your stomach before? Was all after? Okay?
- 22:01Speaker 5: Before we would just do buttered noodles, something light but
- 22:04Speaker 5: some carbs. Right, so you feel a little bit full,
- 22:07Speaker 5: but like you're not actually full.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Were you pregaming? Were you always pregaming with the guys?
- 22:12Speaker 1: Was it ever just girls? No?
- 22:14Speaker 4: It was usually just girls. It was really Yeah, we
- 22:17Speaker 4: were like girl gang.
- 22:18Speaker 1: That's so interesting because I know for my daughter it
- 22:21Speaker 1: was always like pregaming. Well maybe it wasn't. Maybe she
- 22:23Speaker 1: was going over to friends apartments and stuff.
- 22:25Speaker 4: Yeah, just like always the girls.
- 22:26Speaker 5: Unless it was a formal or like a mixer or
- 22:29Speaker 5: something like that, then we would pregame with the guys.
- 22:31Speaker 5: But or like if somebody had like a boyfriend, they
- 22:33Speaker 5: would come, sure, but it was always the girls and
- 22:36Speaker 5: then the guys would meet us at the bar, and
- 22:37Speaker 5: then afterwards we would collectively go to like one person's
- 22:41Speaker 5: house or the other.
- 22:42Speaker 1: Do you think it was to talk to Okay, I'm
- 22:44Speaker 1: getting there's been a lot of talking about pregaming today.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Do you think that part of the pregame the purpose
- 22:51Speaker 1: of it is to take the edge off because you
- 22:53Speaker 1: are going to go hang out with the guys and
- 22:55Speaker 1: just to sort of like loosen up a little.
- 22:57Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean definitely, yeah, right, Like you don't want
- 23:00Speaker 5: to go somewhere stone cold sober. I mean if I
- 23:02Speaker 5: had to go to a bar sober, oh my god, no,
- 23:06Speaker 5: I would here today and I wouldn't have done it then.
- 23:08Speaker 5: I mean, I guess I would have if I was
- 23:10Speaker 5: like sick or something.
- 23:11Speaker 4: I'm not going to miss the party. But it's just
- 23:13Speaker 4: not as fun. It's so loud, people are bumping into you,
- 23:16Speaker 4: and well.
- 23:17Speaker 1: I think you give this is These tips are invaluable,
- 23:21Speaker 1: I need. I think I've actually gotten unbelievable tips. Unfortunately,
- 23:24Speaker 1: I'm fifty seven years old and probably not getting invited
- 23:26Speaker 1: to a pregame anytime soon. Thank you. But I feel
- 23:29Speaker 1: like you guys need to write a manual.
- 23:31Speaker 4: I know it's true, right, yeah, like what going to
- 23:35Speaker 4: do one?
- 23:36Speaker 1: Right? What to do for the pre pregame?
- 23:38Speaker 4: The masterclass starts now?
- 23:39Speaker 1: Amen?
- 23:40Speaker 4: Okay, I love it. I'm going to make a ted talk.
- 23:42Speaker 1: Actually, I think it's brilliant. I think it's the most
- 23:44Speaker 1: interesting subject I've ever heard.
- 23:45Speaker 4: It's true. I feel like people don't know.
- 23:47Speaker 1: They don't any need to. It's not right.
- 23:49Speaker 5: And also like even just mixology in general. Yes, like
- 23:52Speaker 5: you can have a nice drink and it can be cheap. Yeah,
- 23:55Speaker 5: really loud kids, Yeah, like what voka rebel m. Yeah,
- 24:00Speaker 5: it's not that expensive.
- 24:01Speaker 1: It's not.
- 24:01Speaker 3: No.
- 24:02Speaker 1: Well, I gotta go now, I got things to do.
- 24:04Speaker 1: I gotta I gotta get over. I gotta go to seven.
- 24:06Speaker 4: Lego mix it up.
- 24:07Speaker 1: Yes, baby, thank you for coming in. Thanks for having
- 24:10Speaker 1: the best I have a feeling you are going to
- 24:12Speaker 1: have the best time at jingle Ball. I hope.
- 24:13Speaker 4: So I'm not worry about your game.
- 24:15Speaker 1: But it's my girl, all right. We'll talk soon. Thank you.
- 24:19Speaker 1: Thanks Gabby.
