Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. So everybody and their mother has an opinion
• 0:08
Speaker 1: on Jeffrey Epstein, including Elon Musk. However, Elon Musk has
• 0:14
Speaker 1: his own questions he needs to answer. Starting with why
• 0:17
Speaker 1: he was at a dinner in 2011 with Jeffrey Epstein
• 0:21
Speaker 1: after he was already a known sexual offender. Because I
• 0:24
Speaker 1: would think that for all the tough talk that Elon
• 0:27
Speaker 1: Musk is doing lately... that if he was sitting down
• 0:29
Speaker 1: at a dinner for Jeffrey Epstein, Epstein wouldn't be getting
• 0:33
Speaker 1: served food, instead he'd be getting served a knuckle sandwich.
• 0:36
Speaker 1: But I guess not. I guess Elon, like the rest
• 0:39
Speaker 1: of these dudes, is nothing more than talk. So let's
• 0:42
Speaker 1: hop into our time machine, and let's go back to 2019.
• 0:47
Speaker 1: This article was published by BuzzFeed. Headline, In 2011, Jeffrey
• 0:53
Speaker 1: Epstein was a known sex offender. Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk,
• 0:56
Speaker 1: and Sergey Brin Dine with them anyway. This article was
• 1:01
Speaker 1: authored by Peter Aldhaus and Ryan Mack. In March 2011,
• 1:07
Speaker 1: a group of technology executives gathered in a private dining
• 1:11
Speaker 1: room at an upscale Italian restaurant in downtown Long Beach,
• 1:14
Speaker 1: California for a meal and some conversation. Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos,
• 1:20
Speaker 1: Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Google co-founder Sergey Brin, and others
• 1:25
Speaker 1: were all in town for TED. the annual conference with
• 1:28
Speaker 1: the slogan, Ideas Worth Spreading. They were among friends at
• 1:33
Speaker 1: an annual event called the Billionaire's Dinner without a retinue
• 1:37
Speaker 1: of handlers and hangers-on. So, invite only. You know when
• 1:41
Speaker 1: they say you're not invited to the club? This is
• 1:44
Speaker 1: the club they're talking about. But the truth is, everybody
• 1:47
Speaker 1: knew what Jeffrey Epstein was at this point. They didn't care.
• 1:52
Speaker 1: Now they'll make pretend they do. We see it all
• 1:54
Speaker 1: the time. And we certainly see it with Elon Musk.
• 1:58
Speaker 1: out here talking all this nonsense, acting like he cares
• 2:00
Speaker 1: about Epstein survivors, acting like he cares about what happened,
• 2:04
Speaker 1: but does he really? Does he really want us to
• 2:07
Speaker 1: pull this band-aid off and ask these questions? Because now
• 2:10
Speaker 1: that he opened the door, well, here we are. And
• 2:13
Speaker 1: the question is, why were you breaking bread with Jeffrey Epstein?
• 2:18
Speaker 1: Yet when the event was later immortalized online, at least
• 2:21
Speaker 1: one infamous individual was missing from the names of the
• 2:24
Speaker 1: masters of the universe who had gathered for the evening.
• 2:28
Speaker 1: the convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein. Oh, I'm sure that
• 2:32
Speaker 1: was an accident, right? I'm sure that wasn't by design.
• 2:35
Speaker 1: God forbid they let anybody know that they're palling around
• 2:39
Speaker 1: with Mr. Diddler himself. And really, for me, it's the hypocrisy.
• 2:43
Speaker 1: You have somebody like Elon Musk talking all this nonsense,
• 2:47
Speaker 1: yet he's never answered for his own ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
• 2:51
Speaker 1: It's always been some kind of BS, you know, shrug
• 2:53
Speaker 1: it off. Oh, I didn't really know him. The whole thing.
• 2:57
Speaker 1: But we know that's not true. Just like when he
• 2:59
Speaker 1: said that Ghislaine Maxwell photobombed him in that picture with
• 3:03
Speaker 1: him and Ghislaine Maxwell at Jeff Bezos' getaway. I guess
• 3:06
Speaker 1: this is all just a coincidence, huh? The fact that
• 3:09
Speaker 1: you're palling around with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell after
• 3:13
Speaker 1: Epstein's already been convicted. I guess that's just a mistaken judgment, right?
• 3:18
Speaker 1: Or maybe you just didn't care because you never thought
• 3:20
Speaker 1: that this was going to get the doors blown off
• 3:22
Speaker 1: of it because you knew better. And maybe I'm just cynical,
• 3:25
Speaker 1: but I think that's way more likely. than trying to
• 3:28
Speaker 1: bullshit me and say that one of the richest, most
• 3:30
Speaker 1: powerful men in the world had no idea who Jeffrey
• 3:33
Speaker 1: Epstein was or what he was convicted of. I just
• 3:37
Speaker 1: don't buy that. This elite dinner and another similarly select
• 3:42
Speaker 1: gathering that Epstein attended later that year were both organized
• 3:45
Speaker 1: by the New York literary agent John Brockman, whose exclusive
• 3:49
Speaker 1: intellectual club called Edge seems to have played a role
• 3:52
Speaker 1: in Epstein's effort to regain credibility and influence in circles
• 3:56
Speaker 1: of the rich and powerful. At the time, he was
• 3:59
Speaker 1: less than two years removed from finishing a 13-month prison
• 4:02
Speaker 1: term in a Florida state jail for soliciting prostitution from
• 4:06
Speaker 1: an underage girl. Is that the kind of guy you're
• 4:09
Speaker 1: going to sit down and break bread with or what?
• 4:11
Speaker 1: I know I'm not. In fact, if you try and
• 4:13
Speaker 1: put that dude anywhere near me, chances are I'm going
• 4:16
Speaker 1: to slap the dog shit out of him. Bro's going
• 4:19
Speaker 1: to be in for a very, very long night. He
• 4:23
Speaker 1: thought he was getting filet mignon. Instead, he's eating his
• 4:25
Speaker 1: own teeth. Sounds like a fantastic evening to me. A
• 4:30
Speaker 1: leaked email obtained by BuzzFeed News also suggests that Epstein
• 4:34
Speaker 1: separately pursued ties with Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates. And remember,
• 4:39
Speaker 1: this is an article from 2019. So yeah, the Bill
• 4:44
Speaker 1: Gates talk, that's been going on for a very long
• 4:46
Speaker 1: time when it comes to Epstein. The months following Epstein's
• 4:50
Speaker 1: release from prison would be crucial for the disgraced financier,
• 4:54
Speaker 1: You mean pedophile. As he began his re-acclimation to the
• 4:58
Speaker 1: upper crust social circles he had occupied before his arrest.
• 5:02
Speaker 1: In late 2010, Epstein reportedly hosted a dinner for celebrities
• 5:06
Speaker 1: and Prince Andrew at his Upper East Side mansion. And
• 5:10
Speaker 1: by the next year, he was once again mingling with Brockman,
• 5:14
Speaker 1: an Uber networker among the elite of tech, science, and
• 5:17
Speaker 1: Wall Street. With a goal to seek out the most
• 5:19
Speaker 1: complex and sophisticated minds, put them in a room together,
• 5:24
Speaker 1: and have them ask each other questions they're asking themselves.
• 5:28
Speaker 1: Brockman's Edge Foundation had previously welcomed Epstein as a patron
• 5:32
Speaker 1: to the sciences. In other words, a pay pig. Nobody
• 5:36
Speaker 1: respected Jeffrey Epstein's opinion when it comes to science. Bro
• 5:40
Speaker 1: wasn't out here as some kind of genius. Just a
• 5:43
Speaker 1: guy with some money, and a guy that knew how
• 5:45
Speaker 1: to make levers move. That's it. That's all. Before his
• 5:49
Speaker 1: 2006 arrest, Epstein attended... at least three Edge billionaire dinners,
• 5:54
Speaker 1: and was mentioned in a write-up on the Edge website
• 5:57
Speaker 1: of the 2004 event. Yeah, because they all love this dude.
• 6:02
Speaker 1: Until it wasn't convenient anymore. And then they all had amnesia.
• 6:05
Speaker 1: We never saw anything. We didn't know anything. We have
• 6:08
Speaker 1: no idea what happened. What are you even talking about
• 6:10
Speaker 1: right now? Jeffrey Epstein existed? That's where the conversation's headed.
• 6:17
Speaker 1: In the early 2000s, the Edge Dinners were a place
• 6:20
Speaker 1: to be seen by members of the Digerati and attended
• 6:23
Speaker 1: by reporters from several media outlets. In 2011, after Epstein
• 6:28
Speaker 1: had been released from a Florida jail, it was an
• 6:31
Speaker 1: exclusive gathering, dominated by tech industry leadership, a gallery of
• 6:36
Speaker 1: the photos taken, At the event by Nathan Myhrvold, formerly
• 6:40
Speaker 1: Microsoft's chief technology officer, named 20 guests, including just one
• 6:45
Speaker 1: media representative, New York Times columnist David Brooks. Epstein wasn't
• 6:51
Speaker 1: named in the photos posted on the Edge website, but
• 6:54
Speaker 1: he appears in the background of a snap of Zach Bogue,
• 6:57
Speaker 1: a venture capitalist and husband of Marissa Mayer, then a
• 7:01
Speaker 1: vice president at Google. The New York Times mentioned this
• 7:04
Speaker 1: photo in passing in its July story, about Epstein's re-entry
• 7:08
Speaker 1: into powerful society circles after his release from jail. So
• 7:12
Speaker 1: all these enablers that helped him out, and that includes you,
• 7:16
Speaker 1: Elon Musk, they should all have to answer for that.
• 7:20
Speaker 1: They're the reason that Epstein was able to re-insert himself
• 7:23
Speaker 1: into society and why he was able to continue doing
• 7:25
Speaker 1: what he was doing. Because we all know that he
• 7:28
Speaker 1: was molesting people and abusing people all the way up
• 7:31
Speaker 1: to his second arrest. So all the people that were
• 7:35
Speaker 1: out here helping him out pushing him forward, rebuilding his image.
• 7:39
Speaker 1: We see you. We know who you are. And we
• 7:42
Speaker 1: have questions. This was the first time that some of
• 7:46
Speaker 1: these tech titans had rubbed shoulders with Epstein at Brockman's
• 7:50
Speaker 1: billionaire dinner. Bezos and Brin, along with fellow Google co-founder
• 7:54
Speaker 1: Larry Page, are listed on the Edge website as attending
• 7:58
Speaker 1: in 2004, and the Amazon CEO was at the 1999 event,
• 8:03
Speaker 1: both of which Epstein also attended. Look, we know that
• 8:06
Speaker 1: he had ties to Bezos. We know that he had
• 8:08
Speaker 1: ties to Larry Page. And we certainly know that he
• 8:11
Speaker 1: had ties to Sergey Brin. He tried to make Sergey
• 8:14
Speaker 1: Brin the third executor of his estate. But of course,
• 8:18
Speaker 1: nobody dug deeper. Sergey Brin couldn't be involved here. Let's
• 8:22
Speaker 1: just keep it moving. It's all just a big conspiracy theory, right?
• 8:27
Speaker 1: Despite Epstein's notoriety following the conviction... Multiple attendees present at
• 8:32
Speaker 1: the small gathering in 2011 stated they did not know
• 8:35
Speaker 1: him then or do not remember his presence now. Of
• 8:39
Speaker 1: course not. I like to call that the Epstein amnesia
• 8:42
Speaker 1: and there's a lot of people that are afflicted with it.
• 8:46
Speaker 1: I didn't know Jeffrey Epstein was there, said Bogue, who
• 8:49
Speaker 1: was photographed sitting three places away from the ex-convict financier
• 8:53
  Speaker 1: pedophile at the 2011 event. I don't think I spoke
• 8:57
Speaker 1: to him at the dinner. I don't believe I have
• 8:59
Speaker 1: ever met him. either at the dinner or any time else. No,
• 9:02
Speaker 1: I'm sure. I'm sure you guys never broke bread. You're
• 9:05
Speaker 1: sitting three spots away from him. Never had a conversation, huh? Okay,
• 9:09
Speaker 1: I guess. Through a spokesperson, Bogue's spouse, Mayer, said she
• 9:13
Speaker 1: did not recall seeing Epstein at the dinner. That sentiment
• 9:16
Speaker 1: was echoed by Craig Mundy, another dinner attendee who served
• 9:20
Speaker 1: as Microsoft's chief strategy and research officer until 2014. Mundy
• 9:26
Speaker 1: said in an email that he had been invited by
• 9:29
Speaker 1: Brockman and had no recollection of meeting Epstein at the event. Again,
• 9:33
Speaker 1: stop it. You met him. What, this guy was sitting
• 9:36
Speaker 1: by himself? Nobody introduced him to you? Nobody introduced him
• 9:39
Speaker 1: to anybody? He just sat there like a dork? I
• 9:42
Speaker 1: highly doubt it. You all wanted his money. Who you kidding? Myhrvold,
• 9:47
Speaker 1: another former Microsoft executive, sent a statement to BuzzFeed News
• 9:51
Speaker 1: denying knowledge or any involvement in the various crimes that Mr.
• 9:54
Speaker 1: Epstein is accused of committing or financial connections to his
• 9:58
Speaker 1: money management business. Back in the day, Epstein was a
• 10:02
Speaker 1: regular at TED conferences. He was a large donor to
• 10:05
Speaker 1: basic scientific research. So while Nathan knew him and has
• 10:09
Speaker 1: socialized with him, that's exactly where their association ends, his
• 10:12
Speaker 1: spokesperson said. Oh yeah, so you didn't see anything weird
• 10:16
Speaker 1: with Epstein, huh? The guy that was always with young girls?
• 10:19
Speaker 1: a guy that talked crude and disgusting to everybody he
• 10:21
Speaker 1: ran into contact with? Sure, you saw nothing. Got it.
• 10:25
Speaker 1: Another one who saw nothing, knows nothing, and heard nothing.
• 10:30
Speaker 1: Brooke Hammerling, a communications and public relations specialist who deals
• 10:34
Speaker 1: with high-profile tech executives, did not attend the dinner, but
• 10:38
Speaker 1: said she had been long aware of Brockman's events around Ted.
• 10:42
Speaker 1: She said it was hard to believe that executives of
• 10:44
Speaker 1: high-profile companies would go in blind to an intimate dinner,
• 10:48
Speaker 1: particularly When many have staff who prepare them ahead of
• 10:51
Speaker 1: time with briefing books on who will be attending events. Bingo.
• 10:56
Speaker 1: This isn't a dinner like me and you go to.
• 10:58
Speaker 1: The homie Joe invites you to Carrabba's. Everybody knows everybody.
• 11:04
Speaker 1: This social circle is not that big. And when you
• 11:07
Speaker 1: have this kind of dough, everybody knows you. So anybody
• 11:10
Speaker 1: who says they had no idea what Epstein was or
• 11:12
Speaker 1: who he was, they're lying. And I'm pretty confident when
• 11:16
Speaker 1: I say that. If you're the CEO of a publicly
• 11:18
Speaker 1: traded company, your responsibility is to be prepared and not
• 11:22
Speaker 1: to have any surprises, she said. Brooks, the New York
• 11:25
Speaker 1: Times columnist, is the only journalist photographed at the event,
• 11:29
Speaker 1: said he had not heard of Epstein in 2011 and
• 11:32
Speaker 1: had only learned of the financier and past following the
• 11:36
Speaker 1: Miami Herald's investigation last year. How's that even possible? I
• 11:40
Speaker 1: didn't even follow the news back then and I had
• 11:42
Speaker 1: heard of Epstein and what he was up to. But
• 11:44
Speaker 1: the richest people in the world had no idea, huh?
• 11:47
Speaker 1: I'm not buying it. I'm sorry. I'm just not buying it.
• 11:50
Speaker 1: A Tesla spokesperson declined to answer queries about the event
• 11:54
Speaker 1: and instead questioned BuzzFeed News' journalistic integrity. Of course they did.
• 11:59
Speaker 1: Elon Musk is a punk bitch. I'll be the first
• 12:01
Speaker 1: to say it. All these people out here that cheer
• 12:03
Speaker 1: him on. Dude's been a lame from the very start.
• 12:07
Speaker 1: And he's showing his true colors now. bitching and moaning, crying,
• 12:11
Speaker 1: acting the fool, when he has his own questions to
• 12:13
Speaker 1: answer about Epstein. But yet he won't even do it.
• 12:16
Speaker 1: Yet he demands everybody else answer questions and be on
• 12:19
Speaker 1: the up and up. Why don't you lead the way, Mr. Musk?
• 12:23
Speaker 1: Why don't you show everybody else how to do it?
• 12:25
Speaker 1: Brendan Bezos did not respond to BuzzFeed News inquiries. Cabangar
• 12:30
Speaker 1: also did not reply to emails requesting comment. All right,
• 12:33
Speaker 1: we're going to wrap up episode one right here. And
• 12:36
Speaker 1: in the next episode, we're going to pick up where
• 12:37
Speaker 1: we left off. All of the information that goes with
• 12:40
Speaker 1: this episode can be found in the description box. What's
• 12:44
Speaker 1: up everyone and welcome to another episode of the Epstein Chronicles.
• 12:49
Speaker 1: In this episode we're going to pick up right where
• 12:51
Speaker 1: we left off with a BuzzFeed article that was authored
• 12:55
Speaker 1: by Peter Aldhouse and Ryan Mack. Brennan Bezos did not
• 13:00
Speaker 1: respond to BuzzFeed News inquiries. Caminger also did not reply
• 13:04
Speaker 1: to emails requesting comment. Epstein attended a second exclusive Edge
• 13:10
Speaker 1: event in July of 2011, held over a weekend at
• 13:13
Speaker 1: a winery in St. Helena, California. There he mingled with
• 13:17
Speaker 1: a handful of leading scientists and several science journalists, plus
• 13:20
Speaker 1: wealthy power brokers, including Sean Parker, former president of Facebook,
• 13:25
Speaker 1: and Nicholas Pritzker, a venture capitalist and former CEO of
• 13:29
Speaker 1: the Hyatt Development Corporation. And let's not forget... that one
• 13:34
Speaker 1: of the Pritzkers was credibly accused by Virginia Roberts of
• 13:37
Speaker 1: abusing her. So keep that in mind. And that also
• 13:41
Speaker 1: plays directly into the people that continue to call for
• 13:43
Speaker 1: the list, but had nothing to say when people were
• 13:47
Speaker 1: already outed. I would think that before anyone's worried about
• 13:50
Speaker 1: some so-called list, they'd be worried about the people who
• 13:53
Speaker 1: have already been credibly accused. But nothing came of it.
• 13:57
Speaker 1: Unless you mean the tough talk that we heard from
• 13:59
Speaker 1: the DOJ. But as far as action, they couldn't be
• 14:02
Speaker 1: bothered to deal with this. What do you think, they
• 14:05
Speaker 1: care about human trafficking operations? They care about people like Epstein?
• 14:09
Speaker 1: Obviously not. There he mingled with a handful of leading
• 14:13
Speaker 1: scientists and several science journalists, plus wealthy power brokers, including
• 14:17
Speaker 1: Sean Parker, former president of Facebook, and Nicholas Pritzker, a
• 14:21
Speaker 1: venture capitalist and former CEO of the Hyatt Development Corporation.
• 14:26
Speaker 1: Pritzker's venture firm was invested in Uber, Tesla, and SpaceX
• 14:31
Speaker 1: and is now on the board of vaping startup Juul Labs.
• 14:36
Speaker 1: Isn't Juul defunct now? Or didn't they get sued into
• 14:38
Speaker 1: oblivion for their vapes? I think they did. The meeting
• 14:43
Speaker 1: was billed as a master class on the science of
• 14:45
Speaker 1: human nature. Participants got a preview of Harvard psychologist Steven
• 14:50
Speaker 1: Pinker's book The Better Angels of Our Nature on the
• 14:54
Speaker 1: decline of violence in human societies released a few months later.
• 14:58
Speaker 1: And you know what's funny about Mr. Pinker? He blocked
• 15:01
Speaker 1: me on Twitter. I've never even said a word to
• 15:04
Speaker 1: this dude and he has me blocked on Twitter. What
• 15:07
Speaker 1: does that tell you about him and the charming ass
• 15:10
Speaker 1: heart that he has? You coward ass chump. Just another
• 15:14
Speaker 1: one of these pea-brained academics who never got picked to
• 15:18
Speaker 1: play any kind of sport when they were younger. Probably
• 15:21
Speaker 1: got swirlies and stuffed into lockers and the rest of it.
• 15:25
Speaker 1: Certainly never got any women. And that's why dorky ass
• 15:28
Speaker 1: academics like Steven Pinker Were the perfect target for a
• 15:31
Speaker 1: dude like Jeffrey Epstein. And if you think Epstein wasn't
• 15:35
Speaker 1: targeting scientists. You have not been paying attention. That was
• 15:39
Speaker 1: one of his favorite targets. And in fact I'm convinced.
• 15:42
Speaker 1: That's why he built Zorro Ranch. He wanted to be
• 15:46
Speaker 1: close to the Santa Fe Institute. You know the transhumanism
• 15:49
Speaker 1: bullshit he was into. Well. That was the home of it.
• 15:55
Speaker 1: Epstein was captured on video sitting next to Pritzker. And
• 15:59
Speaker 1: laughing as Martin Nowak. who received $ 6. 5 million from Epstein
• 16:03
Speaker 1: in 2003 to launch his program for evolutionary dynamics at Harvard,
• 16:08
Speaker 1: explained how sexual reproduction generates noise in models of the
• 16:12
Speaker 1: evolution of cooperative behavior. And according to just about everybody
• 16:17
Speaker 1: who would speak about Epstein, everybody says the same thing.
• 16:21
Speaker 1: He was infantile, he was nowhere near as smart as
• 16:23
Speaker 1: he thought he was, and he certainly wasn't some kind
• 16:25
Speaker 1: of scientist. The whole reason that he was paying these
• 16:28
Speaker 1: scientists and giving them grants... and giving them access to
• 16:31
Speaker 1: these funds, is so that Epstein would have access to
• 16:34
Speaker 1: their work. If you're running a compromise operation, don't you
• 16:38
Speaker 1: think having some information on scientists who are working on
• 16:41
Speaker 1: crazy-ass projects is a good idea? And what better way
• 16:45
Speaker 1: to get close to them than to gain their trust
• 16:47
Speaker 1: by giving them these big grants? Seems like a pretty
• 16:51
Speaker 1: good plot to me, and it obviously worked, because Epstein
• 16:54
Speaker 1: had all these people under his thumb by the end
• 16:56
Speaker 1: of this. Bro had his own office at Harvard. I
• 16:59
Speaker 1: know it sounds unbelievable, but it's true. Imagine giving a
• 17:03
Speaker 1: guy like Jeffrey Epstein an office at Harvard. And then
• 17:07
Speaker 1: imagine if you're a parent who's paying for their child
• 17:10
Speaker 1: to go to Harvard. Oh yeah, Mr. Jeffrey Epstein's just
• 17:14
Speaker 1: hanging around campus. Makes me feel great as a dad.
• 17:17
Speaker 1: Sean does not have a specific recollection of the event.
• 17:20
Speaker 1: A spokesperson for Parker told BuzzFeed News he did not
• 17:24
Speaker 1: meet Jeffrey Epstein at that time. but he also would
• 17:27
Speaker 1: not have been aware of who he was in 2011. Oh,
• 17:31
Speaker 1: nobody had any idea. This is what I mean. All
• 17:34
Speaker 1: the smartest people in the room had no idea what
• 17:36
Speaker 1: Epstein was, what he was up to, or what he
• 17:38
Speaker 1: was capable of. But these very same people want to
• 17:42
Speaker 1: dictate our lives. These very same people want to seed
• 17:45
Speaker 1: the air with who the fuck knows what. And you
• 17:48
Speaker 1: don't have to be some conspiracy theorist to know that
• 17:51
Speaker 1: guys like Bill Gates... Shouldn't be making decisions for the
• 17:54
Speaker 1: rest of us. Why? Because you have a couple hundred
• 17:56
Speaker 1: billion dollars? Sorry, buddy. Stick to computers. In fact, why
• 18:01
Speaker 1: don't you guys make Microsoft work correctly before you start
• 18:03
Speaker 1: worrying about all this other shit? They don't look at
• 18:06
Speaker 1: the world like that, though. They think because they have
• 18:08
Speaker 1: all this money, that they've had some success, that they
• 18:11
Speaker 1: can control all of us and how we live. Meanwhile,
• 18:14
Speaker 1: they don't even know that they're hanging out with Jeffrey Epstein,
• 18:17
Speaker 1: a convicted sex offender? Sure, we believe that. A spokesperson
• 18:23
Speaker 1: for Pritzker told BuzzFeed News by email he has no
• 18:26
Speaker 1: memory of having any knowledge prior to the event of
• 18:30
Speaker 1: the identity of any attendee, including Mr. Epstein, and if Mr.
• 18:34
Speaker 1: Pritzker was seated next to Mr. Epstein at the small gathering,
• 18:37
Speaker 1: it would have been purely coincidental. There were discussions among
• 18:41
Speaker 1: the attendees as a group on the subjects presented, but Mr.
• 18:44
Speaker 1: Pritzker does not recall any specific conversation with Mr. Epstein. Oh,
• 18:49
Speaker 1: I'm sure. Are you guys catching on yet? You see
• 18:52
Speaker 1: what I'm talking about? All of these people are lying
• 18:54
Speaker 1: to you. Sure, we can't prove that they're lying. But
• 18:58
Speaker 1: does it sound logical? Not to me, it doesn't. So
• 19:01
Speaker 1: I guess Epstein was at this dinner. He sat there alone,
• 19:03
Speaker 1: did nothing, and just watched. He observed. Nobody talked to him.
• 19:07
Speaker 1: Nobody tried to get money from him or get him
• 19:10
Speaker 1: to play ball. How can they even say this shit
• 19:13
Speaker 1: with a straight face? And then imagine believing what these
• 19:16
Speaker 1: people have to say. In 2009, Brockman said, had also
• 19:19
Speaker 1: suggested that science philanthropist Epstein should be invited to another
• 19:23
Speaker 1: exclusive event, the Science Food Camp, organized by tech book
• 19:27
Speaker 1: publisher Tim O'Reilly and held annually at Google's headquarters in
• 19:32
Speaker 1: Mountain View, California. Nobody has any idea who Epstein is, huh?
• 19:37
Speaker 1: But you're inviting him to all these events? You don't
• 19:39
Speaker 1: do any kind of research on people that are coming?
• 19:42
Speaker 1: People that are so worried about their persona. People that
• 19:45
Speaker 1: are so worried about how they appear. But they're not
• 19:48
Speaker 1: doing any kind of. op research when it comes to
• 19:51
Speaker 1: people coming to their dinners who believes that who the
• 19:55
Speaker 1: fuck believes that not me not you not anyone O'Reilly
• 20:01
Speaker 1: does its own due diligence on anyone recommended, Marcy Hennin,
• 20:04
Speaker 1: program manager for O'Reilly Media, told BuzzFeed News by email.
• 20:08
Speaker 1: As a result, Epstein was never invited to an O'Reilly
• 20:11
Speaker 1: Foo Camp. Since Epstein's arrest in July, this year on
• 20:15
Speaker 1: charges of sex trafficking, Brockman has declined to answer questions
• 20:19
Speaker 1: about Epstein and his own role in assisting the sex
• 20:22
Speaker 1: offenders return to elite society. He did not respond to
• 20:26
Speaker 1: queries from BuzzFeed News about the two 2011 events, the
• 20:31
Speaker 1: financier's profile was this year quietly removed from the Edge
• 20:35
Speaker 1: website together with the pages from 1999 and 2000 billionaire
• 20:40
Speaker 1: dinner listed on Epstein's profile. So let's just erase the past.
• 20:45
Speaker 1: That's what they're trying to do. They want nobody to
• 20:48
Speaker 1: know what was going on here so they can plead innocence.
• 20:51
Speaker 1: They can plead stupid. We had no idea what you're
• 20:54
Speaker 1: talking about. Epstein was never You know, somebody that was
• 20:57
Speaker 1: on the radar for being a degenerate. Meanwhile, everybody knew
• 21:00
Speaker 1: what was up. Everybody but the smartest men in the room, huh?
• 21:04
Speaker 1: While Brockman was an important networker for Epstein, the disgraced
• 21:08
Speaker 1: financier apparently had his own contacts with another huge player
• 21:12
Speaker 1: in the tech industry, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates. Last Friday,
• 21:17
Speaker 1: a searing report on Epstein's links with the MIT Media Lab,
• 21:21
Speaker 1: a hub for innovation in digital media, The New Yorker
• 21:24
Speaker 1: revealed an email indicating that Epstein, in 2014, had directed
• 21:30
Speaker 1: a donation of $ 2 million from Gates to the lab.
• 21:34
Speaker 1: But Gates will tell you they didn't really have any
• 21:36
Speaker 1: kind of contact. It was a big mistake for Bill
• 21:38
Speaker 1: Gates to ever go to Epstein's house. But they were
• 21:41
Speaker 1: partnered up. They were doing business together. They were hanging out.
• 21:47
Speaker 1: But sure, Bill Gates had nothing to do with Epstein,
• 21:50
Speaker 1: just like the rest of these people. A May 2013
• 21:54
Speaker 1: email from physicist Lawrence Krauss, former head of the Origins
• 21:57
Speaker 1: Project at Arizona State University, also suggests ties between Epstein
• 22:02
Speaker 1: and Gates. Epstein helped fund Krauss' project at Arizona State,
• 22:06
Speaker 1: which brought together well-known scientists, intellectuals, and celebrities for public
• 22:11
Speaker 1: debates and other events. All on the dime of Jeffrey Epstein.
• 22:15
Speaker 1: All on the dime of a man who abused literally
• 22:18
Speaker 1: a thousand people. But nobody has any idea who he is.
• 22:22
Speaker 1: Nobody was the wiser. Just a regular old guy. A
• 22:26
Speaker 1: bit eccentric. You know, just a weird guy. But he
• 22:29
Speaker 1: has a lot of money, so, you know, he's allowed
• 22:31
Speaker 1: to come hang out. That's what they'll tell you. The
• 22:34
Speaker 1: truth is, they knew. They knew exactly what he was.
• 22:38
Speaker 1: They knew exactly what he was capable of. And they
• 22:41
Speaker 1: didn't care. In the email obtained by BuzzFeed News, Krause
• 22:45
Speaker 1: invited hedge fund billionaire James Simmons to attend a workshop.
• 22:49
Speaker 1: on the origins of money being organized by Epstein at
• 22:52
Speaker 1: Arizona State. Krause claimed that Gates, Virgin Group founder Richard Branson,
• 22:58
Speaker 1: and Lawrence Summers, formerly president of Harvard and treasury secretary
• 23:02
Speaker 1: under Bill Clinton, had already been brought on board by Epstein.
• 23:06
Speaker 1: Simons declined the invitation and the workshop ultimately didn't take place.
• 23:11
Speaker 1: All those people had deep ties to Epstein, Lawrence Summers,
• 23:14
Speaker 1: No doubt about it. Richard Branson? Certainly friendly with him.
• 23:18
Speaker 1: But if you ask Richard Branson now, he'll tell you
• 23:20
Speaker 1: something completely different. I have no idea what you're talking about.
• 23:24
Speaker 1: I don't remember Epstein. We only hung out one time.
• 23:29
Speaker 1: Bill never committed to attend the event, a source close
• 23:31
Speaker 1: to Gates told BuzzFeed News. This is another example of
• 23:35
Speaker 1: how Epstein tried to associate himself with Bill. Oh yeah, sure. Look,
• 23:39
Speaker 1: I wholly admit that Jeffrey Epstein was a blowhard. 1000%.
• 23:43
Speaker 1: Talked a lot of bullshit. But his relationship with Bill
• 23:46
Speaker 1: Gates is anything but. I mean, when your wife comes
• 23:49
Speaker 1: out and says that one of the reasons she divorced
• 23:51
Speaker 1: you is because of Jeffrey Epstein, probably time to reevaluate
• 23:56
Speaker 1: the bullshit you're trying to pitch to the rest of us. Gates,
• 23:59
Speaker 1: who was chairman of Microsoft until 2014, faced questions about
• 24:03
Speaker 1: his ties to Epstein last month. after his former advisor
• 24:07
Speaker 1: Boris Nikolic was named by Epstein as a backup executor
• 24:10
Speaker 1: for his will, signed two days before he killed himself, allegedly,
• 24:14
Speaker 1: in a federal detention center in Manhattan. Also last month,
• 24:17
Speaker 1: CNBC reported that Gates held a meeting in 2013 with
• 24:21
Speaker 1: Epstein to discuss ways to increase philanthropic giving. Epstein was
• 24:27
Speaker 1: introduced to Bill Gates as someone who was interested in
• 24:30
Speaker 1: helping grow philanthropy. A spokesperson for Gates told BuzzFeed News
• 24:34
Speaker 1: by email, Although Epstein pursued Bill Gates aggressively, any account
• 24:38
Speaker 1: of a business partnership or a personal relationship between the
• 24:41
Speaker 1: two is simply not true. And any claim that Epstein
• 24:45
Speaker 1: directed any programmatic or personal grant-making for Bill Gates is
• 24:50
Speaker 1: completely false. Well, we know that statement's bullshit now. We
• 24:53
Speaker 1: know that Bill Gates has already come out and apologized
• 24:56
Speaker 1: for his relationship with Epstein. First it was the denial,
• 24:59
Speaker 1: then when that didn't work, well I better apologize. But
• 25:03
  Speaker 1: do you really think he's sorry? I don't. I think
• 25:05
Speaker 1: he's sorry he got caught. Besides that? You think Bill
• 25:09
Speaker 1: Gates cares about the survivors? Why didn't he set a
• 25:12
Speaker 1: grant up for them? Or hell, how about offering to
• 25:15
Speaker 1: pay for therapy at least? Didn't do that either, did he?
• 25:18
Speaker 1: But he cares so much about humanity. Richard did not
• 25:22
Speaker 1: agree to an event at the university for this date,
• 25:26
Speaker 1: nor was he on board for this, a spokesperson for
• 25:28
Speaker 1: Branson told BuzzFeed News by email. While Epstein may have
• 25:32
Speaker 1: sought access to elite circles to rehabilitate his image, it's
• 25:36
Speaker 1: less clear that the rich and famous wanted to be
• 25:39
Speaker 1: publicly associated with him. A manager at the Italian restaurant
• 25:43
Speaker 1: that hosted the 2011 billionaire's dinner in Long Beach said
• 25:47
Speaker 1: she dealt directly with Brockman, and was the only one
• 25:50
Speaker 1: allowed to check people in for the Hush Hush event.
• 25:53
Speaker 1: She wasn't even allowed to save the list of attendees.
• 25:56
Speaker 1: After the event, they took the guest list and shredded it,
• 25:59
Speaker 1: she said. Yeah, of course they did, because they knew
• 26:02
Speaker 1: who was there, they knew what was up, and they
• 26:04
Speaker 1: knew people would have questions. So the next time you
• 26:07
Speaker 1: see Elon Musk bloviating and talking about Jeffrey Epstein, you
• 26:11
Speaker 1: should be asking yourself, and him, why he had dinner
• 26:15
Speaker 1: with Jeffrey Epstein after Jeffrey Epstein was already convicted. Somehow, though,
• 26:21
Speaker 1: I doubt you'll get an answer. All of the information
• 26:24
Speaker 1: that goes with this episode can be found in the
• 26:27
Speaker 1: description box. Welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles. In this
• 26:33
Speaker 1: look back episode, we're going to go back to 2019
• 26:36
Speaker 1: once again, and we're going to talk about Jeffrey Epstein
• 26:41
Speaker 1: and his attendance at the billionaire's dinner. This article was
• 26:46
Speaker 1: authored by Julia LaRoche, and it was published by Yahoo Finance.
• 26:55
Speaker 1: The arrest of New York financier, pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, has
• 26:59
Speaker 1: resulted in many people trying to distance themselves from the
• 27:03
Speaker 1: registered sex offender, including scrubbing records of him attending high-profile events.
• 27:09
Speaker 1: And how pathetic is that? Now, they tried to do
• 27:12
Speaker 1: the scrub job, but it didn't work out so well.
• 27:15
Speaker 1: And you have yourselves here, the edge group, John Brockman's group,
• 27:20
Speaker 1: and they host this thing called the billionaires dinner where
• 27:23
Speaker 1: all of the so-called elite get together, rub elbows and,
• 27:27
Speaker 1: you know, set the future of the whole entire earth
• 27:32
Speaker 1: in motion. Epstein, 66, was arrested earlier this month at
• 27:39
Speaker 1: Teterboro Airport on charges that between 2002 and 2005, Epstein
• 27:45
Speaker 1: exploited and abused dozens of underage girls, some as young
• 27:50
Speaker 1: as 14. And that didn't matter to any of these guys.
• 27:53
Speaker 1: They didn't care. Epstein, a welcome sight, as long as
• 27:57
Speaker 1: he's coming with his purse open, as long as he's
• 28:00
Speaker 1: coming with a few coins jingling in his pocket. In
• 28:04
Speaker 1: the early 2000s, and as recently as 2011, Epstein, whose
• 28:09
Speaker 1: billionaire status is now under question, would hobnob with a
• 28:13
Speaker 1: who's who of academia, literature, and Silicon Valley at literary
• 28:18
Speaker 1: agent John Brockman's gathering, dubbed the Billionaire's Dinner, an annual
• 28:23
Speaker 1: event held during the TED conference in Monterey, California. You know,
• 28:28
Speaker 1: a meeting of all of the supposed smartest people in
• 28:30
Speaker 1: the world. They're gonna, we're talking at the TED talk.
• 28:33
Speaker 1: Give me a break, man. I don't want to be
• 28:35
Speaker 1: invited to any of that shit. So I don't even care.
• 28:38
Speaker 1: All of these people that pal around with each other,
• 28:41
Speaker 1: all of these journalists out here that think like the
• 28:45
Speaker 1: pinnacle of life is being invited to these parties. You
• 28:50
Speaker 1: just don't get it, do you? Your job as a
• 28:53
Speaker 1: journalist is to hold people in power to account and
• 28:57
Speaker 1: to keep the populace informed. Nothing more, nothing less. We
• 29:01
Speaker 1: don't care about who you're working for politically. Quit carrying water.
• 29:05
Speaker 1: That shit is old. It's tired. And frankly, people are
• 29:09
  Speaker 1: sick of it. In a now-deleted post on Brockman's non-profit,
• 29:17
Speaker 1: The Edge Group's website, The Billionaire's Dinner, it is described
• 29:23
Speaker 1: as one of Epstein's favorite events. He added that Epstein
• 29:26
Speaker 1: enjoys hanging with and stimulating provocative thoughtful minds who have
• 29:32
Speaker 1: achieved a high degree of success in finance, company, high-tech,
• 29:36
Speaker 1: and scientific research. So basically, you have... a sexual predator
• 29:41
Speaker 1: who's invited to all of these dinners with all of
• 29:43
Speaker 1: these so-called elite, the richest amongst us, the smartest amongst us, allegedly.
• 29:49
Speaker 1: You know, the who's who of Silicon Valley and the
• 29:53
Speaker 1: upper crust of New York. Those are the kind of
• 29:57
Speaker 1: parties Epstein was hanging out at. And all of those
• 29:59
Speaker 1: people will have you think and believe that they know
• 30:03
Speaker 1: nothing of the behavior Epstein was engaging in. The occasion
• 30:09
Speaker 1: is a night where the large names in finance, business, philanthropy,
• 30:13
Speaker 1: and science gather together. For one night, the richest people
• 30:16
Speaker 1: in the world come face to face with the most
• 30:19
Speaker 1: intelligent individuals in history. That's a pretty big leap, huh?
• 30:24
Speaker 1: So these people are smarter than Einstein or, you know,
• 30:29
Speaker 1: Fermi or any of the other great scientists we've had, huh?
• 30:32
Speaker 1: All these pedophiles and molesters? All of Jeffrey Epstein's menagerie
• 30:37
Speaker 1: of scientists are the brightest minds we have, huh? Well,
• 30:41
Speaker 1: for the brightest minds in the world, these fucking people
• 30:44
Speaker 1: are stupid, aren't they? The New York Times... reported in
• 30:50
Speaker 1: 2002 that epstein flew a bunch of tedsters oh the
• 30:54
Speaker 1: tedsters to monterey in his boeing 727 outfitted with mink
• 30:59
Speaker 1: and sable throws and a high altitude lunch catered by
• 31:04
Speaker 1: la cirque 2000 so my question is this how many
• 31:08
Speaker 1: trafficked girls were on the plane at this time acting
• 31:11
Speaker 1: as you know flight attendants and otherwise. We know Shantae
• 31:15
Speaker 1: Davies has talked about this before. So all of these
• 31:18
Speaker 1: fucking rich people are hanging out with Epstein, flying around
• 31:21
Speaker 1: on his plane like they don't have their own. And
• 31:23
Speaker 1: for what reason? Why? Just because they enjoyed his company, huh? Yeah, right.
• 31:28
  Speaker 1: I'm guessing, and I can't prove this, obviously, but I'm
• 31:31
Speaker 1: guessing that they were all having a bite of the
• 31:34
Speaker 1: forbidden fruit. Photographed on board the plane were Brockman, Steven Pinker,
• 31:40
Speaker 1: Daniel C. Dennett, Katinka Mattson and Richard Dawkins. Richard Dawkins
• 31:46
Speaker 1: is the guy that talks about evolution and how, you know,
• 31:52
Speaker 1: there's no God and shit like that, right? Now, as
• 31:54
Speaker 1: you all know by now, I'm agnostic when it comes
• 31:56
Speaker 1: to religion. I don't have arrogance enough to act like
• 32:01
Speaker 1: I know what's what one way or the other. But
• 32:03
Speaker 1: these people that were on this plane with Epstein and
• 32:07
Speaker 1: being toted around by Epstein when they all have access
• 32:10
Speaker 1: to their own shit, they have some explaining to do.
• 32:13
Speaker 1: But again, none of these people have been forced to
• 32:16
Speaker 1: explain anything. They give us these garbage-ass, canned, generic excuses
• 32:22
Speaker 1: for why they were with Epstein, and then we all
• 32:24
Speaker 1: just move on to the next topic. The original caption
• 32:32
Speaker 1: shown above from a Yahoo Finance screen grab says, has
• 32:36
Speaker 1: been altered to exclude the association with Epstein. So, when
• 32:41
Speaker 1: you look at the article, you click on the link,
• 32:44
Speaker 1: that'll be in the description box, you'll be able to
• 32:46
Speaker 1: see all of this. You know, how it was washed,
• 32:50
Speaker 1: how it was cut down, and how it was altered. Pinker,
• 32:54
Speaker 1: a Harvard professor of psychology and author, was on board
• 32:57
Speaker 1: that flight. He told Yahoo Finance that he has found
• 33:01
Speaker 1: himself at some of the same events as Epstein, but
• 33:04
Speaker 1: has no personal or professional relationship with him and has
• 33:07
Speaker 1: only spoken to him three times that he can recall.
• 33:10
Speaker 1: So why were you on his plane, bro? If you
• 33:13
Speaker 1: don't know the guy, you're just going to hop on
• 33:16
Speaker 1: his plane and then, you know, act like you aren't
• 33:19
Speaker 1: friends after that? It doesn't make any sense to me.
• 33:22
Speaker 1: Maybe it's different in the world of these so-called elite,
• 33:26
Speaker 1: but in the real world, you're not hopping on anyone's
• 33:29
Speaker 1: jet if you guys aren't homies. I first met Epstein
• 33:33
Speaker 1: a couple of years before that plane trip, when I
• 33:36
Speaker 1: was invited to chat with him over coffee with a
• 33:39
Speaker 1: few mutual friends, who said he was really smart, intellectual,
• 33:43
Speaker 1: and scientifically curious, Pinker told Yahoo Finance. My own impressions
• 33:48
Speaker 1: were different. Oh yeah, I'm sure. I'm sure that you
• 33:51
Speaker 1: were just so anti-Epstein that you got on his plane
• 33:54
Speaker 1: and went on this trip a few years later. Please
• 33:57
Speaker 1: shut up, okay? All of these people with their dumbass excuses?
• 34:01
Speaker 1: I don't want to hear them anymore. Pinker went on
• 34:05
Speaker 1: to describe Epstein... Funny though, that him and all of
• 34:08
Speaker 1: his people were willing to take money from Epstein, even
• 34:10
Speaker 1: though he was a kibitzer though, right? Another passenger on
• 34:33
Speaker 1: that trip, the philosopher and author Daniel C. Dennett, described
• 34:37
Speaker 1: the flight as uneventful and that Epstein pretty much stayed
• 34:41
Speaker 1: to himself. Two photos completely removed. Look, Epstein didn't stay
• 34:45
Speaker 1: to himself. Stop it. He was all over that plane
• 34:47
Speaker 1: talking to people, you know, doing his thing. We all
• 34:50
Speaker 1: know how Epstein conducted himself, what he was up to,
• 34:53
Speaker 1: and how he conducted himself amongst people like these scientists.
• 34:58
Speaker 1: While the Epstein mention in the plane photo caption was altered...
• 35:01
Speaker 1: Two photos from the event are no longer featured on
• 35:04
Speaker 1: the Edge's website. At the 2002 dinner were guests like
• 35:08
Speaker 1: Dean Kamen, Linda Stone, Richard Saul Worman, Steve Petranek, Jeff Bezos,
• 35:15
Speaker 1: John Markoff, Kara Swisher, Nathan Mierwald, Christopher J. Anderson, George Dyson,
• 35:22
Speaker 1: George Dyson, W. Daniel Hillis, Stuart Brand, Katinka Mattson, Peter Schwartz,
• 35:28
Speaker 1: Ryan Phelan, Richard Dawkin, Louis Rossetto, Daniel C. Dennett, David Bunnell,
• 35:34
Speaker 1: Stephen Levy, Charles Simone, Sergi Brin, and Marnie Morris, according
• 35:39
Speaker 1: to the page. And Sergi Brin's pretty funny considering, right?
• 35:44
Speaker 1: At least one guest in particular stood out as not
• 35:47
Speaker 1: having a major business or literary accomplishments. That person is
• 35:51
Speaker 1: Sarah Kellen, who appears in now-deleted photographs. Of course she
• 35:55
Speaker 1: was there. She was, look, she was Epstein's number one
• 35:59
Speaker 1: when it came to this sort of thing. She had
• 36:02
Speaker 1: to be with him everywhere he went. And that's Southwest Gas. Kellen,
• 36:06
Speaker 1: who is now married to NASCAR driver Brian Vickers, has
• 36:09
Speaker 1: been accused of recruiting young girls, maintaining Epstein's schedule and
• 36:13
Speaker 1: handling travel arrangements for the young girls being exploited, and
• 36:17
Speaker 1: she has been fingered as someone who took part in
• 36:19
Speaker 1: some of the abuse as well. Let's not forget that out.
• 36:23
Speaker 1: She specifically identified in the controversy lenient non-prosecution agreement as
• 36:30
  Speaker 1: a potential co-conspirator. For nearly 15 years, Epstein's foundations have
• 36:36
Speaker 1: been major financial supporters of Brockman's nonprofit, the Edge Foundation,
• 36:41
Speaker 1: contributing more than half a million dollars in that time frame,
• 36:45
Speaker 1: according to Yahoo Finance's calculations. In 990 filings, Epstein's, the
• 36:50
  Speaker 1: COUQ Foundation, donated $ 25, 000 in 2001. 50,000 in 2003, 55,000
• 36:57
Speaker 1: in 2004, and 200,000 in 2005 to the Edge Foundation Incorporated. Oh,
• 37:06
Speaker 1: you know, he had no part of that, though. He's
• 37:07
Speaker 1: not a big part of this. He was just a
• 37:09
Speaker 1: guy hanging out. No big deal. Epstein had nothing to
• 37:12
Speaker 1: do with the Edge Foundations. The investigation into Epstein began
• 37:17
Speaker 1: in 2005 by the Palm Beach Police Department. As the U.S.
• 37:21
Speaker 1: Attorney for the Southern District of Florida began preparing federal
• 37:25
Speaker 1: criminal charges, Epstein's attorneys began plea bargain discussions. On September 24, 2007,
• 37:32
Speaker 1: Epstein signed the Controversial Non-Prosecution Agreement with the U.S. Attorney's Office.
• 37:38
Speaker 1: Imagine that. I know we talk about it all the time,
• 37:41
Speaker 1: but imagine that. In that agreement, he pled guilty to
• 37:46
Speaker 1: one count of solicitation of prostitution and agreed that he
• 37:50
Speaker 1: would register as a sex offender. He also agreed to
• 37:53
Speaker 1: a 30-month sentence, including 18 months of jail time and
• 37:57
Speaker 1: 12 months of community control. In exchange, the U.S. Attorney's
• 38:01
Speaker 1: Office agreed to not pursue federal charges. Epstein was released
• 38:09
Speaker 1: in 2009 from the Palm Beach County Stockade after only
• 38:12
Speaker 1: 13 months spent in the private wing with six days
• 38:15
Speaker 1: of work release per week. In 2011, Epstein appeared again
• 38:21
Speaker 1: at Brockman's Billionaires Dinner, according to the New York Times.
• 38:25
Speaker 1: Guests at the event included Bezos, Brin, Myhrvold, Elon Musk,
• 38:31
Speaker 1: Marissa Mayer, Zach Bogue, Ann Wojcicki, and David Brooks, a
• 38:36
Speaker 1: page for the dinner shows. And again, it just shows
• 38:39
Speaker 1: you folks all of the people Epstein was associating with.
• 38:42
Speaker 1: How many of these people have come out and said, well,
• 38:44
Speaker 1: we know this about Epstein. He was with us here.
• 38:46
Speaker 1: This is what happened. Blah, blah, blah. None of them, right? Exactly.
• 38:53
Speaker 1: Epstein attended the billionaire's dinner in 1999 and in 2000.
• 38:58
Speaker 1: But those pages appeared to have also been removed. He
• 39:02
Speaker 1: also attended in 2004 at a downsized or more exclusive dinner.
• 39:08
Speaker 1: And remember, he was invited to this after he was
• 39:11
Speaker 1: already a convicted sex offender. What more do you need?
• 39:15
Speaker 1: Attendees at the 1999 dinner included... According to a cached

Speaker 1: Charles Samanyi, Kara Swisher, George Dyson, Linda Stone, David Bronsvig,

Speaker 1: Katinka Mattson, W. Daniel Hillis, Dean Kamen, Stuart Brand, Kip Parent,

Speaker 1: Nathan Myhrvold, Jeffrey Epstein, Brewster Kahl, Brockman, the founder of

Speaker 1: the Edge Foundation, did not respond to multiple requests for comment.
• 40:14
Speaker 1: So again, it just shows you all of these people
• 40:16
Speaker 1: that were involved. Epstein was a fixture amongst the so-called elite.
• 40:22
Speaker 1: And all of a sudden, these very same so-called elite
• 40:26
Speaker 1: all have collective amnesia. Guess what? I'm not buying it.
