- 0:02Speaker 1: Two teas in a pod which Teddy Mellencamp and Cameridge Edge.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Hi, guys, welcome to another episode of the twat Seat.
- 0:20Speaker 2: A very special guest today who never likes to do
- 0:23Speaker 2: anything publicly. It is my very own little sister, Justice Mellencamp,
- 0:30Speaker 2: who I like to call bird Face in the Hole.
- 0:33Speaker 2: The reason she's been bf ITH since we were little
- 0:36Speaker 2: is because you guys may take notice here. How granted
- 0:41Speaker 2: I get to say this because she's the cuter, tinier
- 0:44Speaker 2: all of the ones, but like, look how her entire
- 0:47Speaker 2: face would fit into that. It's like a little bird
- 0:50Speaker 2: poking its head out of the hole and it's trying
- 0:52Speaker 2: to eat. That's her.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Thanks, what do you call me? Oh? I don't know
- 1:00Speaker 3: nicknames for you?
- 1:01Speaker 2: So many nicknicknames. But Justice and I are four years apart.
- 1:07Speaker 2: We are full siblings.
- 1:11Speaker 3: I know.
- 1:12Speaker 2: You know. The last couple of days have been no
- 1:13Speaker 2: wig days. But of course I had to put a
- 1:15Speaker 2: wig on today because one of our favorite songs to sing.
- 1:19Speaker 2: You may have heard of it. It's from Mary Kate
- 1:21Speaker 2: Nashley Olsen. I am the cute one.
- 1:24Speaker 3: She's just my sister.
- 1:25Speaker 2: And we go back and forth on this and I
- 1:27Speaker 2: knew if it was a bald day for me, then
- 1:29Speaker 2: I wouldn't be able to take either parts, which had
- 1:32Speaker 2: been difficult.
- 1:33Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't think so. No, I think you can
- 1:36Speaker 3: totally rock the shaved head.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Well, thank you. Bird. Bird's being very very nice to
- 1:43Speaker 2: me because we've been going through all the stuff. She's
- 1:45Speaker 2: been helping taking care of my kids. She's been here
- 1:49Speaker 2: to help me because some days I am you know,
- 1:53Speaker 2: I'm pretty good until about two o'clock. Wouldn't we say
- 1:55Speaker 2: that's when I have the switch off.
- 1:58Speaker 3: Well, it's tiring. It's a lot going on.
- 2:00Speaker 2: It's tiring.
- 2:03Speaker 3: It is you've got way too much going on.
- 2:06Speaker 2: But she is my best friend. I love her to death.
- 2:10Speaker 2: But we You may notice that our voices sound very similar.
- 2:14Speaker 2: I know.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Remember when we would call Dad, like before caller ID
- 2:17Speaker 3: existed and cell phones and all the things, and be
- 2:20Speaker 3: like which.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Kid is this? We just go, hey, hey, Dad.
- 2:24Speaker 3: Which kid is this?
- 2:25Speaker 2: Which one? Which one is this? He had no idea,
- 2:28Speaker 2: and we most most of the time wouldn't tell him,
- 2:32Speaker 2: and then he immediately would start talking shit about whatever
- 2:35Speaker 2: one he thought we weren't. Yeah, but most of the
- 2:37Speaker 2: time he got well, let's start with don't tell your
- 2:40Speaker 2: sister like it's a good thing. He doesn't know what
- 2:42Speaker 2: daughter this is because we're about to get a lot
- 2:44Speaker 2: of information, and that's his favorite thing to do is
- 2:48Speaker 2: to call one of us at We should try to
- 2:51Speaker 2: call him.
- 2:52Speaker 3: Is he on the plane? Y, he's flying already. Yeah,
- 2:54Speaker 3: his last text went green, so I know he's a
- 2:57Speaker 3: zero service.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Well, if it was green for any other than being
- 3:00Speaker 2: on a jet, it would really be disturbing, Like, green
- 3:03Speaker 2: texts really upset me.
- 3:05Speaker 3: Well, then I get all nervous that I'm like, what happened?
- 3:07Speaker 3: What happened to the person? Why is it green?
- 3:09Speaker 2: If it's because you don't have any friends that are green? No,
- 3:13Speaker 2: I have no Android friends.
- 3:15Speaker 3: Well only our brother spec.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Oh, I know that's upsetting too. Hud had it for
- 3:19Speaker 2: a while. But then Hud is the one that taught
- 3:21Speaker 2: me about the the privacy screen. Privacy screen. Hud got
- 3:25Speaker 2: himself off fancy and got himself an iPhone in a
- 3:28Speaker 2: privacy screen, and now he thinks he's big time and
- 3:31Speaker 2: he was on a television show.
- 3:32Speaker 3: I know. Well, Hud made fun of me because I
- 3:34Speaker 3: also have a privacy screen. But then I text, I'd
- 3:37Speaker 3: voice text and let my Siri type everything out, and
- 3:40Speaker 3: he was like, you've got to be kidding me. You
- 3:42Speaker 3: think you're private, but I can hear everything you just
- 3:44Speaker 3: said on your text.
- 3:45Speaker 2: No, this is my favorite thing about Justice. So recently
- 3:49Speaker 2: it was really hard for me to see text messages.
- 3:51Speaker 2: So I told anybody, anybody who wants to talk to me,
- 3:54Speaker 2: voice note me. So the first voice note I get
- 3:57Speaker 2: from Justice, I can already imagine her like this. She's like, Hi, Teddy, Comma,
- 4:04Speaker 2: it's your sister Justice. Period just wanted to tell you
- 4:10Speaker 2: I love you. Exclamation point. I'm like, are you.
- 4:14Speaker 3: This isn't that's because I normally have Serie type stuff out.
- 4:19Speaker 3: The auto notes were very new to me until this.
- 4:22Speaker 2: But now that I've told everybody this, now no one
- 4:25Speaker 2: can stop. Everybody wants to send audio notes so to
- 4:27Speaker 2: the best, and if you don't do it, ruin your
- 4:29Speaker 2: friend's lives by adding it, because you know what, nothing
- 4:32Speaker 2: anybody wants to hear more than one minute and fifty
- 4:36Speaker 2: five seconds of an auto No. It's for them to
- 4:39Speaker 2: have to take no listen, especially if you work with them.
- 4:42Speaker 3: It's not fun. Half the time, I just click it
- 4:44Speaker 3: so I can just see it. Typed out.
- 4:46Speaker 2: I don't even listen, but I have typos that way,
- 4:48Speaker 2: it doesn't understand what I'm saying.
- 4:50Speaker 3: That's okay, I can get it.
- 4:51Speaker 2: No you can't. Sometimes I see it and it doesn't
- 4:54Speaker 2: even know my name between and not even knowing my
- 4:57Speaker 2: name and face app not even working anymore when I
- 5:00Speaker 2: don't have a wig on and giving me the option
- 5:02Speaker 2: of adding a beard or hood that you hud, what
- 5:08Speaker 2: are you doing? So we use some listener questions. What
- 5:14Speaker 2: were you like as kids growing up together?
- 5:18Speaker 3: Well, I mean I was obsessed with you. I wanted
- 5:21Speaker 3: to do everything with you, but you were way too
- 5:23Speaker 3: cool to hang out. And yeah, I don't know. I think.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Here's the thing. She likes to say that I was
- 5:30Speaker 2: like maybe not the nicest to her, but she would
- 5:34Speaker 2: do crazy ass shit like I would my room. I
- 5:37Speaker 2: had a room that was looked like a horse stall.
- 5:41Speaker 3: Do we have to tell this story?
- 5:42Speaker 2: Yes, we do, because it's my favorite. This is like
- 5:48Speaker 2: the this is the type of psychosis. So when she
- 5:50Speaker 2: when she lives in her mind of I was always
- 5:53Speaker 2: the bad.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Way, can we preface it with that? You would have
- 5:55Speaker 3: friends over and you'd be like, you can sit in
- 5:57Speaker 3: my room, but you cannot talk and you have to
- 5:58Speaker 3: sit in the floor over there, and I would do it.
- 6:01Speaker 3: I was so desperate just to like be a part
- 6:04Speaker 3: of whatever you were doing. I would do it.
- 6:06Speaker 2: So that was well. Anyway, then I got overdoing that,
- 6:09Speaker 2: so I just because then she started telling people what
- 6:11Speaker 2: I was doing in this room. But anyways, my room
- 6:14Speaker 2: was a stall door, so it was like had planks,
- 6:18Speaker 2: and so I tell Justice, I'm like, bird, I think
- 6:22Speaker 2: maybe I had my boyfriend over at the time. His
- 6:25Speaker 2: name was Jamie, do you remember, yes, So I had
- 6:28Speaker 2: Jamie over and so the rule was like I could
- 6:31Speaker 2: keep the bottom thing locked, but I have to leave
- 6:34Speaker 2: one of the parts undone. But I'm like, don't come
- 6:36Speaker 2: in because you know he's here and we're probably gonna
- 6:40Speaker 2: want to make out or whatever it may be. I
- 6:42Speaker 2: give her enough warning, but what do I get. She
- 6:45Speaker 2: starts banging on the door. She's this big, by the.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Way, this I may be five years old by the
- 6:50Speaker 3: way right now, or six, like she.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Her feet aren't even touching the ground in the podcast
- 6:56Speaker 2: room because she's she says she's five foot but she's
- 6:59Speaker 2: one million percent four eleven? Am I lying?
- 7:03Speaker 3: I don't know. We could get a tape. Measure out,
- 7:05Speaker 3: figure it out when we're done.
- 7:07Speaker 2: You could be the judge of this. When you see
- 7:08Speaker 2: us stand next to each other. Cruise is as tall
- 7:11Speaker 2: as a bird face right now. But anyways, I'm just
- 7:15Speaker 2: trying to mind my own business, make out with Jamie,
- 7:18Speaker 2: and I see these little beady eyes poking through and
- 7:21Speaker 2: I'm like, Justice, no, And so then I locked the top.
- 7:25Speaker 2: I locked the entire door, and I use this as
- 7:28Speaker 2: my excuse on why everything could be locked. Justice gets
- 7:31Speaker 2: my fault, totally my fault. Justice goes and gets a
- 7:36Speaker 2: what is it called a crowbar? A crow bar and
- 7:39Speaker 2: starts breaking it down my door like she thinks she's
- 7:42Speaker 2: gonna be able.
- 7:43Speaker 3: To Well, there was a lot leading into it. A
- 7:44Speaker 3: lot of not nice words were being spoken through the
- 7:47Speaker 3: cracks of the door from you to me. You like
- 7:50Speaker 3: triggered me. I went nuts.
- 7:52Speaker 2: She went nuts. So she broke through the door. Me
- 7:55Speaker 2: and Jamie have yes, you do so then me and
- 7:58Speaker 2: Jamie have to jump off my little falcony go running,
- 8:01Speaker 2: and she keeps running after me.
- 8:02Speaker 3: This is this is exaggerated.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Never's not exaggerate. This is the fact.
- 8:07Speaker 3: I never got through the door.
- 8:09Speaker 2: You well, you got through figuring out a way. You
- 8:13Speaker 2: crawled over the outside where the stairs were and got
- 8:16Speaker 2: into the somehow she got to move on.
- 8:19Speaker 3: Let's move on from the story. We don't need to
- 8:22Speaker 3: go any further.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Okay, So what other things would you like to talk
- 8:25Speaker 2: about us growing up? If you're going to talk about
- 8:27Speaker 2: me leaving you as an unaccompanied minor.
- 8:30Speaker 3: Yeah, well I can do that. That's a good one.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:33Speaker 3: So when we'd have to travel every other weekend to Indiana,
- 8:36Speaker 3: our parents got divorced when we were I was four.
- 8:40Speaker 3: I don't know how old I was. I was eight,
- 8:42Speaker 3: obviously four years older. So at some point they thought
- 8:46Speaker 3: they'd trust us to fly with a flight attendant, get
- 8:51Speaker 3: a greeter, I guess you'd call them, and because my
- 8:55Speaker 3: mom would have to do the trip with us, and
- 8:57Speaker 3: that got old for her. So finally we got to
- 8:59Speaker 3: the age where they're like, you guys could just go
- 9:00Speaker 3: on your own. It's fine, we'll get a.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Great it seems right.
- 9:02Speaker 3: No, I think we're a little older at this point,
- 9:05Speaker 3: but it was every other weekend. We were so over it.
- 9:08Speaker 2: We didn't want to go because at this point, I mean.
- 9:12Speaker 3: Well, we didn't want to go because we like had
- 9:14Speaker 3: friends and things going on on the weekends, and.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Sometimes Dad would come to hilton Head so we'd get
- 9:19Speaker 2: really excited so we could.
- 9:21Speaker 3: Just hang at our own house. Well, we would always
- 9:24Speaker 3: do hilton Head to Charlotte, Charlotte to Indianapolis, and Teddy
- 9:27Speaker 3: would be less than nice on the travel days and
- 9:32Speaker 3: I would have to just like hold it together, no
- 9:35Speaker 3: crying in public, until the one time she left me
- 9:38Speaker 3: in the bathroom at the Charlotte airport and walked to
- 9:43Speaker 3: the gate, and the flight attendant who was like supposed
- 9:47Speaker 3: to be greeting us, was talked out of greeting us
- 9:49Speaker 3: because at this point, Teddy, you were probably like fourteen,
- 9:52Speaker 3: like you were, well, like you were old enough to
- 9:54Speaker 3: know better to do this to your ten year old sister.
- 9:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I probably didn't, she'd probably piss me off.
- 9:59Speaker 3: Well, luckily it was the same gate every single time,
- 10:02Speaker 3: flying back and forth, so I knew exactly where to go.
- 10:05Speaker 3: But after that, the flight attendants were back on full schedule.
- 10:09Speaker 3: We had one every single weekend.
- 10:11Speaker 2: Yeah. I may have left her, But if you have
- 10:13Speaker 2: a kid that's looking to play a fun game, this
- 10:15Speaker 2: is our favorite game. Okay, put your handshair.
- 10:18Speaker 3: Well we'd have to share the arm rest.
- 10:19Speaker 2: We'd have to share the armrest, but it'd be We
- 10:21Speaker 2: played a game and it's called Don't Touch Me.
- 10:23Speaker 3: Well, Teddy played the game. I just was living my life.
- 10:26Speaker 2: So what you do is you share an arm rest
- 10:29Speaker 2: and that if one person touches you, then you get
- 10:32Speaker 2: to punch them. So she would never touch her, but
- 10:36Speaker 2: I would get dangerously close and then touch her and
- 10:41Speaker 2: then and then she'd cry. So you know what this is.
- 10:46Speaker 2: This is a tip to most. If you live in
- 10:48Speaker 2: a different state than your significant other, your spouse, you
- 10:52Speaker 2: may want to think about living in the same state
- 10:54Speaker 2: because traveling.
- 10:55Speaker 3: Together, or just make sure you always have a greeter,
- 10:58Speaker 3: don't don't send your k A lot have already been there.
- 11:01Speaker 2: We were in our Oh that's true. We're in our
- 11:03Speaker 2: own seats now playing Don't Touch Me.
- 11:05Speaker 3: We weren't playing, you were playing. It's all just because
- 11:08Speaker 3: I wanted to be your best friend.
- 11:10Speaker 2: I mean, you're my best friend now and we're about
- 11:12Speaker 2: to get so we'll get back into the questions that
- 11:16Speaker 2: you guys asked. But since we were younger, we always
- 11:19Speaker 2: wanted this little knife tattoo and justice. How mad were
- 11:25Speaker 2: you when I went and got it by myself.
- 11:27Speaker 3: Well, I mean that was kind of messed up. We've
- 11:28Speaker 3: been talking about it for three years, or you've been
- 11:30Speaker 3: talking about it for three years?
- 11:33Speaker 2: Can you sing the song as I've pad it? So?
- 11:36Speaker 3: No, I want you to sing it. It makes more sense.
- 11:38Speaker 3: But for like three or four family get togethers, Teddy
- 11:42Speaker 3: has tried desperately to get a tattoo artist to come,
- 11:44Speaker 3: and no one will come to the house. Like these
- 11:46Speaker 3: people are like, no, you're insane, Like we're.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Because also, you guys said it had to be.
- 11:50Speaker 3: A thin Oh I wanted a single needle tattoo, correct,
- 11:54Speaker 3: but yeah, we haven't been successful. And then what is
- 11:57Speaker 3: what does she do? She goes and gets it just by.
- 11:59Speaker 2: Her and so it's I think, I like this little knife,
- 12:04Speaker 2: and it's really so like I've already done it to
- 12:10Speaker 2: Justice and she hasn't even realized it. But like it's
- 12:12Speaker 2: when somebody's pissing me off, I just tap it, tap it,
- 12:16Speaker 2: like this is your little before we play don't touch
- 12:19Speaker 2: me cut off. But we're gonna go get one after
- 12:23Speaker 2: this pod today. But Justice says she doesn't want to
- 12:26Speaker 2: get it in that spot. Where else are you going
- 12:28Speaker 2: to be able to tap it that people are going
- 12:29Speaker 2: to see if you try to get this on your
- 12:30Speaker 2: leg or something, you're gonna not like that.
- 12:32Speaker 3: I mean, I was kind of just thinking, like here
- 12:37Speaker 3: this little knife right here.
- 12:39Speaker 2: Just a little knife. How would you describe your relationship
- 12:53Speaker 2: back then compared to now?
- 12:55Speaker 3: Well, I mean, obviously, now we're adults, we have so
- 12:59Speaker 3: much more in common. I mean, the four year age
- 13:02Speaker 3: difference when you're a child is huge, right, Like you
- 13:05Speaker 3: were able to drive and do all these things, and
- 13:09Speaker 3: you know, I was like still playing with barbies. So
- 13:12Speaker 3: I feel like now we you know, we're both moms,
- 13:17Speaker 3: we're both working. We have a lot more in common
- 13:20Speaker 3: and a lot more that we can talk about as
- 13:24Speaker 3: far as like getting advice from each other. Right Like
- 13:27Speaker 3: when we were kids, that wasn't really.
- 13:29Speaker 2: And I mean we can say this as much as
- 13:31Speaker 2: we weren't close, Like I still slept Injustice's room every night, yeah,
- 13:35Speaker 2: I mean, and like we had this one rule.
- 13:37Speaker 3: She faked not to like me.
- 13:39Speaker 2: I just didn't like her in front of other people.
- 13:43Speaker 2: But we had this one rule. We were allowed to
- 13:47Speaker 2: watch TV going to bed, which guys, don't judge. This
- 13:49Speaker 2: was the eighties.
- 13:50Speaker 3: Well it was the nineties.
- 13:51Speaker 2: But yeah, remember old school TVs where you'd see the
- 13:54Speaker 2: little things line up. Yeah, it would go to like
- 13:57Speaker 2: the end of the volume.
- 13:59Speaker 3: The word volume was on the screen and then there
- 14:01Speaker 3: was little dashes underneath, like how loud it can be.
- 14:04Speaker 2: So our rule was at night time it could not
- 14:07Speaker 2: be above the e. And we lived downstairs and my
- 14:11Speaker 2: mom lived upstairs, and so I would go and stay
- 14:14Speaker 2: in Jay's room. She had two beds, you know, I
- 14:17Speaker 2: had a horse room. She had a room that had
- 14:19Speaker 2: all of gymnastics equipment, so there was like a trail
- 14:23Speaker 2: plane and what are those things you walked off balance,
- 14:26Speaker 2: a balance beam. It was all these different colors. But
- 14:30Speaker 2: either way, we'd like go to bed at whatever nine o'clock,
- 14:32Speaker 2: and then we'd hear our mom go, it's above me.
- 14:36Speaker 3: She always knew, like how she know? I have no
- 14:39Speaker 3: idea because it was sometimes above the even sometimes it wasn't,
- 14:43Speaker 3: and she'd still yell and we're like what in the world.
- 14:45Speaker 2: But we watched this, and also our VHS machine was broken,
- 14:49Speaker 2: so we watched the same movie for years.
- 14:51Speaker 3: Well that was later when the TV when it got stuck. Yes,
- 14:54Speaker 3: that we watched the same movie for probably three years
- 14:57Speaker 3: in a row again, still sleeping in my bed. Well
- 15:01Speaker 3: that was when we were teenagers. Yeah, You've Got Mail. Actually,
- 15:05Speaker 3: I mean, but we typically would watch it through the
- 15:07Speaker 3: credits in the first scene and then both be sound asleep.
- 15:10Speaker 3: But we knew every word.
- 15:12Speaker 2: But we'd also have to wait until it got to
- 15:13Speaker 2: the very end so it would rewind itself, so we
- 15:16Speaker 2: could watch it.
- 15:17Speaker 3: Yeah, if you woke up in the middle of the
- 15:18Speaker 3: night and turn the TV off, you were screwed.
- 15:21Speaker 2: You could watch it, and then you were just stuck
- 15:24Speaker 2: because then you just had to live on repeat. You've
- 15:27Speaker 2: Got Mail still to this day. If we don't watch
- 15:30Speaker 2: it this afternoon, I'm going to be upset about it. Yeah, okay.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Were we ever jealous of each other or our brothers?
- 15:40Speaker 3: No, I don't think so. No, I don't know.
- 15:43Speaker 2: We like to all claim that we're the favorite, but
- 15:46Speaker 2: I mean it's clear I am.
- 15:49Speaker 3: Well now, I mean, you had to go and do
- 15:51Speaker 3: all this crazy shit keep favorite. But it was me
- 15:55Speaker 3: for a really long time.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Well you know what, It's always been me. But we'll
- 16:00Speaker 2: we'll let you have it. Sometimes we think it's one
- 16:03Speaker 2: of our brothers and then we get all revved up.
- 16:05Speaker 2: But if we say one thing about our brothers, we
- 16:07Speaker 2: get a lashing sea.
- 16:08Speaker 3: We're not allowed to talk about them, but we.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Are allowed to talk about each other, which may mean
- 16:12Speaker 2: we are not the favorites.
- 16:14Speaker 3: No, I mean we're clearly the favorites. Just you're in
- 16:17Speaker 3: the lead right now.
- 16:19Speaker 2: Okay, Well it's because I got some things going on.
- 16:22Speaker 3: Yeah, well just wait till you beat it.
- 16:25Speaker 2: How do you think we're different different as moms.
- 16:29Speaker 3: Well, I'll let you start because I would love to
- 16:31Speaker 3: hear your opinion on this.
- 16:32Speaker 2: Well, it's a little bit different because my I'm very
- 16:36Speaker 2: like type A and particular so's Jay. But she's one
- 16:40Speaker 2: of the worst kind where she pretends she's not but
- 16:42Speaker 2: she is. But like my kids are pretty like on it,
- 16:49Speaker 2: you know, where justice is more of like a free
- 16:52Speaker 2: loving like sure you want to do cookies, we'll do
- 16:56Speaker 2: it right here, last minute. And so she's like so
- 16:59Speaker 2: kind and so but like chaos could be accruing and
- 17:03Speaker 2: she doesn't even realize it. Like think about like Thanksgiving
- 17:06Speaker 2: dinner with Woods.
- 17:08Speaker 3: Listen, Woods, Woods is chaos. That's different. I think also
- 17:12Speaker 3: because I had trend when I was twenty, and I
- 17:17Speaker 3: think I just kind of let more things go. I
- 17:20Speaker 3: was so uptight. I'm trying to keep him this like
- 17:23Speaker 3: perfect child and reprimanding him for everything. Well, there's no
- 17:27Speaker 3: such thing as perfect, and every kid's different, and I
- 17:30Speaker 3: think with each kid you kind of have to parent differently.
- 17:34Speaker 3: And Woods is kind of a nightmare. He's the cutest
- 17:37Speaker 3: nightmare I've ever seen.
- 17:38Speaker 2: But yeah, mile's a ponytail guys, He's three man bun
- 17:42Speaker 2: man fun.
- 17:43Speaker 3: He calls everybody's hair a man bun. Two, why are
- 17:46Speaker 3: you wearing your men bun? I'm like, well, because I've
- 17:49Speaker 3: wanted it up today. Okay, he is. So he's the
- 17:53Speaker 3: cutest thing.
- 17:53Speaker 2: But he like, after three days of him, You're like,
- 17:57Speaker 2: you deserve a special metal.
- 17:59Speaker 3: Yeah, you've done definitely something.
- 18:02Speaker 2: But the next question is what's the best advice we've
- 18:05Speaker 2: given each other. I would say we're different in certain ways,
- 18:10Speaker 2: Like when I'm upset, I just shut down and kind
- 18:13Speaker 2: of disappear, And when Justice is upset, she wants to
- 18:17Speaker 2: do it the right way and like talk it through.
- 18:20Speaker 3: Well, I definitely don't let anything not get talked about.
- 18:23Speaker 3: Like if it's bothering me, I kind of just say
- 18:25Speaker 3: it and get it off my chest. And if it's,
- 18:28Speaker 3: you know, not the nicest thing. I try to word
- 18:31Speaker 3: it better, but I'm gonna go ahead and say it.
- 18:33Speaker 2: But what we have learned is if there's certain topics
- 18:36Speaker 2: that we know we don't agree on, we're like, we're
- 18:39Speaker 2: not going to talk about these things. Yeah, no, this
- 18:41Speaker 2: is not good for us. This doesn't you know it does.
- 18:44Speaker 2: We'd rather enjoy the fun that we do have, which
- 18:47Speaker 2: we laugh a lot, we can get emotional a lot,
- 18:51Speaker 2: but like, it's kind of better for us to know
- 18:55Speaker 2: our topics that we stay away from.
- 18:57Speaker 3: Well, I mean, the one time that I kind of like,
- 18:59Speaker 3: was I guess a little mean to you. I was
- 19:02Speaker 3: not feeling well. I had no idea you cried for
- 19:04Speaker 3: like a year. She secretly went off and forgot.
- 19:06Speaker 2: What was I mad at you about?
- 19:08Speaker 3: Well, it is so crazy, but made you told the
- 19:12Speaker 3: Crowbar story. I mean, so we were at Thanksgiving at
- 19:16Speaker 3: our grandfather's who at the time was like ninety two.
- 19:19Speaker 3: I'm so sick. It's like COVID already happened. You'd think
- 19:22Speaker 3: that they'd be like, no, justice, don't come, like you
- 19:24Speaker 3: need to stay home you're sick. Nope, Dad forced us
- 19:26Speaker 3: to go. I'm literally coughing on everybody.
- 19:31Speaker 2: There's so many two mellencamps there, there's definitely not enough
- 19:35Speaker 2: food for all of us to eat.
- 19:37Speaker 3: Yeah, I shouldn't have gone. I was really sick. Anyway,
- 19:39Speaker 3: we were there and Teddy could tell I wasn't feeling well,
- 19:42Speaker 3: and she's trying to be helpful. But Teddy also likes
- 19:44Speaker 3: to kind of, you know, take charge, even if you
- 19:46Speaker 3: don't ask her to, which is fine. Yeah, sometimes we
- 19:49Speaker 3: need it. But I am like sitting on the couch,
- 19:53Speaker 3: so ready to go, but I'm not going to ruin
- 19:55Speaker 3: anyone's good time. And she goes and tells one of
- 19:57Speaker 3: our brothers, like, let Justice take your car and try home. Well,
- 20:00Speaker 3: driving home was like an hour and a half. I
- 20:02Speaker 3: did not want to do that.
- 20:03Speaker 2: But she also has a husband there that could have
- 20:05Speaker 2: driven her. Yeah, but there was a good There was
- 20:07Speaker 2: a good rationale because the brothers were already saying, no,
- 20:10Speaker 2: we're gonna stay later and we're gonna do whatever. And
- 20:12Speaker 2: I said, well, then give one of the cars to
- 20:13Speaker 2: Justice so her and Michael and the kids can drive home.
- 20:16Speaker 2: She's clearly very ill.
- 20:18Speaker 3: So she's saying all this and I'm like, no, no,
- 20:20Speaker 3: Like the kids are having fun with their cousins they
- 20:22Speaker 3: never see, like, we'll stay and she's like, Justice, just
- 20:26Speaker 3: take the car and go, and I was like, can
- 20:28Speaker 3: you please stop bossing me around? And she clammed up,
- 20:32Speaker 3: and I thought, okay, well, conversation's over, and we all
- 20:35Speaker 3: stayed till the very end. And little did I know,
- 20:38Speaker 3: like two years later, she admits that she went off
- 20:41Speaker 3: to the bathroom and cried and I'm like, it was.
- 20:45Speaker 2: So mean because I was trying to be helpful. I've
- 20:48Speaker 2: gotten it all organized in front of everyone. She's like,
- 20:50Speaker 2: could I try to control everything? And I was like,
- 20:54Speaker 2: but then, don't worry. I didn't speak for the rest
- 20:58Speaker 2: of Christmas. So I made a Christmas miracle was that
- 21:02Speaker 2: I was silent.
- 21:03Speaker 3: What was Thanksgiving? But I was so sick. I didn't
- 21:09Speaker 3: even notice you weren't speaking. And it took two years
- 21:11Speaker 3: for you to finally tell me.
- 21:12Speaker 2: And by the way, I didn't tell you. Dad told you.
- 21:14Speaker 3: No, you did because we were on the phone.
- 21:16Speaker 2: No, I told Dad, and Dad goes, you either tell her,
- 21:19Speaker 2: I'm gonna tell.
- 21:19Speaker 3: Her, well that I don't know about all that, but
- 21:22Speaker 3: you told me first, and then I told Dad and
- 21:24Speaker 3: he was like, what you made her cry. I'm like, yeah,
- 21:27Speaker 3: I didn't even know.
- 21:28Speaker 2: It was like, that's why I didn't stay up late
- 21:29Speaker 2: that last night we were there. I was pissed.
- 21:32Speaker 3: Well, you should have just said something like I do
- 21:34Speaker 3: when I'm pissed, and then you just get over it.
- 21:38Speaker 2: I was just going to hold a grudge until you
- 21:40Speaker 2: realized how you wronged me. Okay, this next one is
- 21:54Speaker 2: Teddy's diagnosis. Oh gosh, this should be good for us.
- 21:59Speaker 2: What went through your head when I mean, I don't
- 22:02Speaker 2: even know who told you? It says when Teddy told
- 22:05Speaker 2: you about her diagnosis, I was not in a position
- 22:07Speaker 2: to be telling anybody.
- 22:08Speaker 3: You didn't tell me so well, I mean obviously for
- 22:11Speaker 3: two years prior you had the surgeries and you're you know,
- 22:16Speaker 3: we're battling it for a while.
- 22:19Speaker 2: But this is when the melanoma was on my back.
- 22:21Speaker 3: Yeah, when it was just on your back, So I
- 22:23Speaker 3: mean that was obviously scary, and you know, we tried
- 22:28Speaker 3: our best to never think it would go to where
- 22:30Speaker 3: it did and kind of just pushed it to the back,
- 22:34Speaker 3: you know, like, just Okay, she's going every three months,
- 22:36Speaker 3: like she's taking care of herself. This is great. We
- 22:39Speaker 3: had a couple of trips in between that we had
- 22:41Speaker 3: so much fun together. You felt good. I was like, Okay,
- 22:44Speaker 3: she's beat this, this is done. But I mean when
- 22:49Speaker 3: I found out that it had metastasized, I was well
- 22:53Speaker 3: leaving Nightmare Babies swim lesson and he had finally turned
- 22:57Speaker 3: a corner and listened to his swim and instructors.
- 23:00Speaker 2: I'm like, yes, this is why he.
- 23:01Speaker 3: Did well for a minute.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Yes, I knew you needed a little bit of happiness
- 23:05Speaker 2: well before.
- 23:06Speaker 3: Yeah. So we're walking out and Dad calls, and typically
- 23:10Speaker 3: if you don't answer Dad's call, he keeps calling.
- 23:12Speaker 2: And then he writes call me.
- 23:14Speaker 3: So that happened like three times because I'm trying to
- 23:16Speaker 3: get the kids in the car and the call me
- 23:18Speaker 3: right now. I called. I'm like Dad, I'm sorry, I'm
- 23:21Speaker 3: trying to like get the kids in the car. What's up?
- 23:22Speaker 3: And he's like drop everything, and I'm like, oh god,
- 23:25Speaker 3: he's so dramatic with everything. Well, he had a reason
- 23:27Speaker 3: this time, obviously, and he told me so. Of course,
- 23:32Speaker 3: what I normally do is try to do best case scenario.
- 23:35Speaker 3: I'm like, no, no, there's no way, like it's got
- 23:37Speaker 3: to be this. It's she you know, maybe she fell
- 23:40Speaker 3: and just maybe it's a concussion. She's had a lot
- 23:42Speaker 3: of concussions when she was writing when she was younger, like,
- 23:45Speaker 3: maybe this is what it is. And unfortunately it was
- 23:49Speaker 3: none of that. And yeah, I mean it was tough.
- 23:52Speaker 3: We all got on a plane the next day while
- 23:54Speaker 3: you were in surgery. Unfortunately my flight got canceled because
- 23:59Speaker 3: flying to Hilton Head is always questionable. So I came
- 24:02Speaker 3: a day after that and just kind of came to
- 24:06Speaker 3: be by your side. You know.
- 24:08Speaker 2: Yeah, they were all there. Unfortunately I don't remember any
- 24:13Speaker 2: of them being there. I'm glad you don't. But I
- 24:17Speaker 2: can say this is going to sound so morbid, but
- 24:21Speaker 2: like some of the most fun and hilarious conversations we've
- 24:26Speaker 2: all been, including my friends, my family, everybody that we've
- 24:30Speaker 2: been able to have post this diagnosis and my surgeries,
- 24:35Speaker 2: has been some of the behavior in the ospital.
- 24:39Speaker 3: Teddy was just being her true authentic self that she
- 24:42Speaker 3: doesn't let anyone normally see because there's just all out there.
- 24:48Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, what medication was it that made me
- 24:50Speaker 2: stay well?
- 24:51Speaker 3: You were on steroids, well.
- 24:52Speaker 2: Steroids, but there was another one that they give you
- 24:54Speaker 2: that's a pain killer. There's zero memory.
- 24:58Speaker 3: Well, thank god it nice little.
- 25:01Speaker 2: Things that would happen, would be when Justice told me
- 25:03Speaker 2: she was leaving.
- 25:05Speaker 3: Well, no, no, I so right after your surgery, you
- 25:09Speaker 3: know you were sleeping when when we were in the
- 25:11Speaker 3: rich in.
- 25:11Speaker 2: My mind, I didn't sleep any of the sixteen days
- 25:14Speaker 2: I was up twenty four.
- 25:15Speaker 3: Oh you were sleeping, which you know, you were so peaceful.
- 25:18Speaker 3: And we were talking about how beautiful you looked, and
- 25:21Speaker 3: she did, I mean you did. You looked beautiful. I
- 25:23Speaker 3: mean your skin color was perfect, everything, And I'm like,
- 25:26Speaker 3: how does she look this great? After brain surgery, shaved head,
- 25:30Speaker 3: Like I look like literally been dragged through the mud.
- 25:34Speaker 3: They're traveling nineteen hours to get here with all my
- 25:36Speaker 3: delays and canceled flights. But anyway, I'm like, she looks amazing,
- 25:40Speaker 3: and so I'm talking about her. Whoever else was in
- 25:42Speaker 3: the room, it's.
- 25:43Speaker 2: Kyle Tamra, Jen Jen Marcella, like all my best friends
- 25:48Speaker 2: out here.
- 25:48Speaker 3: So we're all raving about how great she looks, and
- 25:51Speaker 3: she like opens her eyes and I'm like, hi, Hi,
- 25:55Speaker 3: Like it's the first time she's seen me. I'm like,
- 25:57Speaker 3: how are you? I love you so much? Can you
- 25:58Speaker 3: see me? And she goes unfortunately, and I'm like, well,
- 26:03Speaker 3: there she is, and like you could tell everybody in
- 26:06Speaker 3: the room was like, yeah, there she is.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Pretty much went downhill from there.
- 26:10Speaker 3: Oh, I don't know. It added some comic relief in
- 26:13Speaker 3: a really really shitty situation.
- 26:15Speaker 2: Yeah, Like I as much as things are really hard,
- 26:18Speaker 2: like seeing my family come to that hell every day
- 26:21Speaker 2: really meant a lot to me. Yeah, but it's we
- 26:27Speaker 2: had some highs and lows, Like there's definite moments that
- 26:31Speaker 2: I'm so grateful that, like some of my friends caught
- 26:33Speaker 2: on video and we get to watch like we still
- 26:36Speaker 2: talk about it. The next question is did it make
- 26:40Speaker 2: you feel differently about your own health hearing about the
- 26:43Speaker 2: stuff with me? Well, for sure.
- 26:44Speaker 3: I mean everyone just kind of goes through life living
- 26:48Speaker 3: and doing their own thing, and you end up putting
- 26:50Speaker 3: a lot on the back burner, your health being one
- 26:53Speaker 3: of them. But certainly after your diagnosis with the melanoma
- 26:57Speaker 3: on your back, I started going every year for my
- 26:59Speaker 3: checks and have had two biopsies. Thank god they've been clear.
- 27:03Speaker 3: But I never in a million years would have thought
- 27:05Speaker 3: that was something I needed to start doing or even
- 27:08Speaker 3: think about. But I mean we were beach baby.
- 27:10Speaker 2: Cat scan, so I just put scan.
- 27:13Speaker 3: Yeah, well, you know, it just it brings a lot,
- 27:16Speaker 3: You've brought a lot awareness also, so many people, including
- 27:20Speaker 3: you know, my husband for instance, We were just talking
- 27:22Speaker 3: about it before I flew out here, like that melanoma
- 27:26Speaker 3: is not just skin cancer that it can spread. It
- 27:29Speaker 3: you need to be on top of on top of it.
- 27:32Speaker 2: It's very surprising to me that I never had gotten
- 27:35Speaker 2: a pet scan after having sixteen.
- 27:38Speaker 3: Well, yeah, it's insane.
- 27:39Speaker 2: It's insane, and I had a lot of anger towards that.
- 27:43Speaker 2: But how do you think that this has changed our relationship.
- 27:48Speaker 3: I think you have let yourself be a little more
- 27:50Speaker 3: like vulnerable about things, you know. You know, you've always
- 27:54Speaker 3: tried to be the strong sister who, like we said earlier,
- 27:57Speaker 3: like if I was mad, you knew I was mad,
- 27:59Speaker 3: you know. Like it's I think you have let yourself
- 28:03Speaker 3: kind of express a little bit more with me at least.
- 28:07Speaker 2: And I think it's you know, I'm not if you're
- 28:10Speaker 2: not in my face, then I'm not the world's best communicator.
- 28:14Speaker 2: Like I've really worked harder on it with like my
- 28:17Speaker 2: kids and my family, and like when I say family,
- 28:20Speaker 2: I mean the people that live in this home, but
- 28:24Speaker 2: the people that aren't as geographically close, Yeah, I keep
- 28:30Speaker 2: everybody at a little bit of a distance because I
- 28:31Speaker 2: don't want to trouble them.
- 28:32Speaker 3: Well, it's you're not troubling people.
- 28:34Speaker 2: I know, But now it's kind of I've realized, like
- 28:37Speaker 2: I don't care. I'm like, if I'm having a hard moment, yeah,
- 28:39Speaker 2: I'm gonna call my sister and cry to her, because
- 28:42Speaker 2: you know what, Like even yesterday I told her something
- 28:45Speaker 2: and I wasn't expecting like the sister reaction. I was
- 28:48Speaker 2: expecting like just like, oh, that's all right, and her
- 28:51Speaker 2: face she was like I'm gonna have that conversation with
- 28:55Speaker 2: this person, you know, like she was pissed, like.
- 28:58Speaker 3: To stick up for you. Yeah, I mean I've always
- 29:00Speaker 3: been that way, but you maybe not have shared your
- 29:04Speaker 3: feelings about something happening with me to the point where
- 29:08Speaker 3: I would be like, well let me try to handle
- 29:10Speaker 3: this situation.
- 29:11Speaker 2: Well, now we get to change this sad topic and
- 29:14Speaker 2: go to an even more depressing topic, which is Teddy
- 29:17Speaker 2: on Housewives. What did you honestly think when you found
- 29:23Speaker 2: out I was going to be.
- 29:25Speaker 3: Well, first you called and asked for everyone's advice. That
- 29:27Speaker 3: we knew you weren't going to listen to I mean
- 29:29Speaker 3: that was a dead giveaway, like she's calling for this
- 29:32Speaker 3: advice that she's already made up her mind. Well, I
- 29:35Speaker 3: have to say, I've watched Beverly Hills like forever. It
- 29:39Speaker 3: was kind of my mindless fun turn it on. I
- 29:41Speaker 3: don't know these women like this is something I can
- 29:44Speaker 3: watch and it's entertaining and I like it. And then
- 29:47Speaker 3: you went on it and I was like, that girl's
- 29:49Speaker 3: a bitch. I hate her, Like I was fully investing.
- 29:53Speaker 2: You thought I was a bitch from the beginning.
- 29:54Speaker 3: Not you. I'm talking about when someone would be mean
- 29:57Speaker 3: to you like these women as no, Nope, not gonna
- 30:03Speaker 3: do that. But like watching the show prior to you
- 30:06Speaker 3: being on it, I didn't care if they were mean
- 30:08Speaker 3: to each other. That's what made the show. And then
- 30:11Speaker 3: you go on it and ruin it because now I'm
- 30:13Speaker 3: like fully invested.
- 30:15Speaker 2: Well, I have a question. Yesterday you met both Tamra
- 30:19Speaker 2: and Erica. Yes, did you feel like they were different
- 30:23Speaker 2: than when you saw them on the show.
- 30:25Speaker 3: Well, I think I met Tamara in the hospital. I
- 30:30Speaker 3: think Tamra's very well, no, I don't know. I think
- 30:34Speaker 3: they're both very nice. I thought that. I, well, let's
- 30:40Speaker 3: be honest, you and Erica did not get along your
- 30:42Speaker 3: first season, right, and I kind of disliked y'all's relationship then,
- 30:47Speaker 3: But she was so lovely yesterday, so nice. You guys
- 30:50Speaker 3: have such a great relationship now. But also like, because
- 30:54Speaker 3: of you being on the show, I learned it is
- 30:56Speaker 3: a show no one wants to see. You guys all
- 30:58Speaker 3: like getting along and like having tea together, Like I
- 31:00Speaker 3: get it.
- 31:01Speaker 2: I hated having to. I hated it, But yeah, I
- 31:07Speaker 2: mean and Tam was pretty effortless, like she doesn't care.
- 31:10Speaker 2: Like we all sat on the floor of this carpet
- 31:12Speaker 2: eating pizza, eating pizzas. I can still see the two
- 31:15Speaker 2: grease stains, which I'm trying to get over.
- 31:17Speaker 3: But you did drop a little bit of your pizza.
- 31:20Speaker 3: That was you too.
- 31:21Speaker 2: I know it dripped because I squeezed it in half.
- 31:24Speaker 2: That pizza was huge, it was delicious, It was good.
- 31:28Speaker 2: What was your favorite part of me being.
- 31:31Speaker 3: Well, obviously in Provence when you were like, just I'm sorry,
- 31:37Speaker 3: very very overserved at the winery and it was hilarious.
- 31:41Speaker 2: When Kyle's not letting me eat your chips, eat my chip, and.
- 31:45Speaker 3: Then you wouldn't go to bed. You would not go
- 31:47Speaker 3: to bed. I mean I was like howling, dying, laughing,
- 31:50Speaker 3: and I kind of knew it was coming because I
- 31:52Speaker 3: don't know if you remember you called me that morning.
- 31:54Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I called everyone because I was like so anxious.
- 31:57Speaker 3: I may have ruined our lives. I don't know what
- 31:59Speaker 3: I said you. I was driving to work because of
- 32:02Speaker 3: the time difference. I was like, you know, starting my day,
- 32:05Speaker 3: and maybe it wasn't morning for you, maybe it was night.
- 32:08Speaker 3: I don't even know, but you were panicked. You're like,
- 32:10Speaker 3: I really hope I didn't do anything to embarrass the family.
- 32:13Speaker 3: I'm like, well, I hope you did, because I've been
- 32:15Speaker 3: waiting for this since you started the show, and but no,
- 32:20Speaker 3: I think I really loved like seeing the family on
- 32:22Speaker 3: there and your kids, and you know, I I think
- 32:27Speaker 3: it was good that you obviously went on this show.
- 32:31Speaker 3: But by the time you were, you were leaving. I
- 32:34Speaker 3: think all leaving, you're exiting whatever you want to call
- 32:38Speaker 3: them of your exit, that you were invited to exit
- 32:41Speaker 3: when you weren't invited back. I think we all as
- 32:46Speaker 3: a family knew it was time we had seen you
- 32:48Speaker 3: go through some tough stuff. You know personally that wasn't
- 32:52Speaker 3: actually being shown and and I just thought it was
- 32:54Speaker 3: it was good like you you were on the show.
- 32:58Speaker 3: You you did your your best when you pregnant, which
- 33:00Speaker 3: was I know, not fun.
- 33:02Speaker 2: Yeah, and yeah, now they want to know about your
- 33:07Speaker 2: private life, my private life. I love that she checks
- 33:09Speaker 2: the notes to see if I'm making it up for
- 33:13Speaker 2: people who don't know. Why did you choose not to
- 33:16Speaker 2: be in the public eye like me and Hudson?
- 33:21Speaker 3: Because I'm very private in a sense where like I'll
- 33:24Speaker 3: be open and share my opinion and if you know,
- 33:27Speaker 3: you get to know me, you know all about me.
- 33:30Speaker 3: But I have had the same group of girlfriends literally
- 33:33Speaker 3: since I was a child. I married a guy that
- 33:35Speaker 3: I've known since I was four.
- 33:37Speaker 2: I've been boyfriend girlfriend since kindergarten.
- 33:39Speaker 3: Yeah, so I just I keep my circle very tight
- 33:44Speaker 3: and very close. Like any big group situations, I'm like, nah,
- 33:48Speaker 3: I'm good. I think I'm going to pass on that.
- 33:51Speaker 3: It's just I when you wanted me to do that
- 33:54Speaker 3: one interview, zoom interview and then I bailed last minute.
- 33:58Speaker 3: Oh yeah, there was a show that they wanted the
- 34:01Speaker 3: sisters or something. Yeah, there was like a sister show
- 34:04Speaker 3: they wanted us to do, and I really wanted I
- 34:06Speaker 3: always call her Slight by the way, so if you
- 34:08Speaker 3: see me pausing, and because I don't know why, they
- 34:11Speaker 3: remind me of each other. But I called Burn and
- 34:13Speaker 3: I'm like, would you want to do it? And she's like, yep, sure, yeah,
- 34:17Speaker 3: I'll do it. And then well no, I said no,
- 34:20Speaker 3: I don't want to be on the show, but I
- 34:21Speaker 3: will do this for you.
- 34:23Speaker 2: And then the day of she's like, I'm canceling and I'm.
- 34:26Speaker 3: Like, bitch, yeah, well, I mean I had some stuff
- 34:29Speaker 3: going at home, but I felt like I was gonna
- 34:32Speaker 3: throw up the whole day. I was like, there is
- 34:33Speaker 3: no way.
- 34:34Speaker 2: Did you feel like you were going to throw up
- 34:36Speaker 2: before doing this pod? Or you knew I'm just such
- 34:37Speaker 2: an effortlessener.
- 34:38Speaker 3: Well it helped.
- 34:39Speaker 2: Watch.
- 34:39Speaker 3: It helps watching and you guys do it yesterday and
- 34:42Speaker 3: seeing kind of like how it would go down. But
- 34:45Speaker 3: when you initially asked me, Michael could see my face
- 34:48Speaker 3: when you asked, and he's like what, and she was like,
- 34:50Speaker 3: she wants me to do the pod. He's like, well,
- 34:52Speaker 3: did you say no? And I was like, I can't
- 34:54Speaker 3: say no. I'm gonna do it.
- 34:56Speaker 2: I see you give Michael a little shout out my husband. Yeah, yeah,
- 35:00Speaker 2: But also, can we talk about what the things are
- 35:03Speaker 2: that Michael's obsessed with really quick, just so they can
- 35:05Speaker 2: get a shout out?
- 35:05Speaker 3: No, we cannot.
- 35:06Speaker 2: Hold on? What are they called? Please tell me what cryptocur? Crypto?
- 35:09Speaker 3: We can't because it's actually not allowed to be spoken
- 35:12Speaker 3: in my house. Like I'm like, we are not talking
- 35:14Speaker 3: about hold on, but what is.
- 35:15Speaker 2: The little thing? What? He has his own name?
- 35:18Speaker 3: Oh no, he got rid of it. Oh no, don't
- 35:20Speaker 3: even he.
- 35:21Speaker 2: Had his own Instagram, guys, So if you're into cryptocurrencies,
- 35:25Speaker 2: he got.
- 35:25Speaker 3: Rid of it.
- 35:26Speaker 2: Hold on, but what was the name?
- 35:27Speaker 3: I don't even know. I never thought. I don't know.
- 35:29Speaker 3: I never followed it.
- 35:30Speaker 2: I cannot, guys, find Michael Moore. Oh no, he can't
- 35:34Speaker 2: find cryptocurrency.
- 35:35Speaker 3: Guys, it's gone. Don't even waste your time. Even if
- 35:38Speaker 3: you were like entertaining the idea of trying to find it,
- 35:40Speaker 3: you will.
- 35:41Speaker 2: I don't even know what it is. But some days
- 35:43Speaker 2: we would sit there and I'd be like an hour
- 35:45Speaker 2: and a half in and finally I was like, I
- 35:47Speaker 2: got to give up on this, buddy.
- 35:48Speaker 3: No, I I gave up on it pretty early. But yeah,
- 35:51Speaker 3: so he knew by my face that I was like,
- 35:55Speaker 3: oh God, like, okay, go talk about myself.
- 35:58Speaker 2: Well do you feel so a lot of people and
- 36:00Speaker 2: Erica even said something yesterday about how we had a
- 36:03Speaker 2: different life growing up because of our dad, and nobody
- 36:06Speaker 2: ever believed me when I'm like, we really realize it.
- 36:09Speaker 2: We really didn't. Really, I didn't realize it until I
- 36:11Speaker 2: moved to La. Well.
- 36:13Speaker 3: I mean it's not that we didn't realize it. I
- 36:14Speaker 3: think our mom did a really good job on just
- 36:17Speaker 3: making sure we had the upbringing we would have if
- 36:21Speaker 3: we didn't have a famous dad, you know, like she
- 36:24Speaker 3: gave us a great you know life at the beach
- 36:26Speaker 3: and did all the things that she could do as
- 36:28Speaker 3: a single mom. And I mean we definitely had some
- 36:32Speaker 3: really cool experiences, me more than you. I feel like,
- 36:34Speaker 3: because you were riding all the time. I didn't have
- 36:37Speaker 3: a sport that I was like, so listen, I just
- 36:40Speaker 3: got beaten horse with Cruise yesterday. I am not an athlete,
- 36:44Speaker 3: but when she's talking about horse the basketball, yeah, I
- 36:48Speaker 3: mean I was. I was done for like it was awful,
- 36:51Speaker 3: but you were gone a lot where I was kind
- 36:54Speaker 3: of like you're you're with dad this week, You're going
- 36:56Speaker 3: to go ahead and travel with him. So, I mean
- 36:58Speaker 3: we definitely got some really cool experiences. Yeah, I went
- 37:04Speaker 3: on tour with Dad for a whole summer. Like there
- 37:06Speaker 3: was things that were very different than your quote traditional upbringing.
- 37:11Speaker 3: But I think mom for the most part, because we
- 37:14Speaker 3: were in hilton Head and Dad lived in Indiana, Like
- 37:16Speaker 3: there was no like glamorous stuff like people would assume.
- 37:21Speaker 2: I would say the most truly is like when somebody's
- 37:24Speaker 2: grandparents would come to one of our like games or something,
- 37:28Speaker 2: and they'd be like, oh, is that Johnny Couger.
- 37:31Speaker 3: No, I mean yeah, I mean there was just hilton
- 37:35Speaker 3: Head was like a very.
- 37:36Speaker 2: Very girls girls were into the old the older girls
- 37:40Speaker 2: were into Dad.
- 37:41Speaker 3: Well yeah, but I think people like respected the privacy
- 37:45Speaker 3: of it all too, Like they weren't going to.
- 37:48Speaker 2: People because like we graduated from a class of how many.
- 37:53Speaker 3: Well I had thirty two in my class. In years
- 37:55Speaker 3: it is probably even smaller.
- 37:56Speaker 2: Yeah, so like there we weren't filled around tons of
- 37:59Speaker 2: new people, like it was always the same.
- 38:02Speaker 3: Yeah. Well, and also there was no social media. There
- 38:05Speaker 3: was no you know, in my Dad's so private that
- 38:07Speaker 3: it wasn't like he was like broadcasting that we were
- 38:10Speaker 3: his kids anywhere. You know.
- 38:12Speaker 2: Yeah, No, it's not like now where everything's in the press.
- 38:17Speaker 2: I mean, sorry, dad, Oh, do you feel like you
- 38:22Speaker 2: have ownership over your dad's song Justice and Independence?
- 38:25Speaker 3: I mean I should, but no I don't. But I
- 38:29Speaker 3: the story behind that is the whole time they thought
- 38:31Speaker 3: I was a boy and they had a name which
- 38:34Speaker 3: was Hud, which is our brother. But they had no
- 38:37Speaker 3: idea that I was a girl until I was born,
- 38:39Speaker 3: and so no girl name. And I guess they're sitting
- 38:43Speaker 3: in the hospital and they were getting ready to go home,
- 38:44Speaker 3: and they're like, you gotta name this kid, Like you
- 38:47Speaker 3: can't just take it home. You have to name your child.
- 38:49Speaker 3: And so dad and mom decided because he had written
- 38:53Speaker 3: that song that year, which is an awful song.
- 38:55Speaker 2: Guys like it is, no, that's gonna be everywhere now
- 38:58Speaker 2: it is not. Okay, So you just screwed yourself. Thank
- 39:03Speaker 2: you so much for stepping into my world. And People
- 39:07Speaker 2: magazine you better be clocking that one as well, right
- 39:09Speaker 2: next to my Mazu league.
- 39:10Speaker 3: He would admit the best thing that came out of
- 39:13Speaker 3: that song was my name. Let's say that.
- 39:15Speaker 2: Well, also showing more that Justice is the favorite. The
- 39:19Speaker 2: Big Daddy cover was supposed to be Justice, but she
- 39:24Speaker 2: was throwing such a major fit that that's why I
- 39:28Speaker 2: am on the cover holding my dad in like a
- 39:31Speaker 2: dirty white T shirt.
- 39:32Speaker 3: You were not Pictureretti. I, on the other hand, was
- 39:36Speaker 3: not having it that day.
- 39:37Speaker 2: Ummmm, Okay, if there's one thing you and Teddy could
- 39:42Speaker 2: do together, sort of like a bucket list, what is it? Oh?
- 39:47Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 39:48Speaker 2: I would say, we've never this is the first time
- 39:52Speaker 2: since we've had kids where we've had any kind of
- 39:54Speaker 2: like alone time. I'd love to go on a trip
- 39:56Speaker 2: with Justice. Yeah, without our seven thousand kids and husbands,
- 40:00Speaker 2: and yeah, that would be fun brothers and dad. And
- 40:04Speaker 2: because we're always having to take care of everybody, Well.
- 40:07Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it would be fun to take a
- 40:09Speaker 3: trip just you and I somewhere.
- 40:12Speaker 2: Oh, what's it like having to live in Teddy's shadow? Oh?
- 40:17Speaker 3: Well, I didn't know I was in your shadow, but.
- 40:19Speaker 2: Well I'm in dad's. Well you're smaller.
- 40:22Speaker 3: Well, I'm in everyone's shadow. When you're five feet you're
- 40:25Speaker 3: four eleven, whatever, I'm always in the shadow. I didn't
- 40:29Speaker 3: know I was, though.
- 40:29Speaker 2: But I didn't. I don't think so either, because we
- 40:33Speaker 2: watched You've Got Mails so much. How did we feel
- 40:37Speaker 2: when Dad started dating may Ryan? I mean obviously we
- 40:42Speaker 2: were at sick. We're like, what how we had never
- 40:46Speaker 2: been when I walked in.
- 40:48Speaker 3: Well, she was the nicest I mean right off the bat,
- 40:51Speaker 3: you know.
- 40:51Speaker 2: She not nicest. Ever, there's a new night, there's a
- 40:54Speaker 2: new nicy, so we don't want to share the old.
- 40:57Speaker 3: Well, I just meant compared to some other people Dad dated.
- 41:00Speaker 2: Yes, there was one that was.
- 41:04Speaker 3: Her pretty relieved that he you know, but I think
- 41:07Speaker 3: I told her right away. I was like, just so
- 41:09Speaker 3: you know Teddy and I know every line, so you've
- 41:12Speaker 3: got mail. And she was so embarrassed that I said that.
- 41:15Speaker 2: It's like I was like, no, play it cool, don't
- 41:18Speaker 2: be all uncool. And then I was like, we do
- 41:20Speaker 2: you want to see us.
- 41:23Speaker 1: The whole thing.
- 41:26Speaker 2: You've got Mayo?
- 41:28Speaker 3: I mean it was it was a great movie.
- 41:30Speaker 2: Let's just you know what sometimes what's the little shop
- 41:33Speaker 2: in the corner, shop around the corner shop, around the corner.
- 41:37Speaker 2: It was one of the greats. No, we love her,
- 41:39Speaker 2: and no they they you know, things happened, but things happened.
- 41:44Speaker 2: But We were ecstatic and we still are, like, she's
- 41:47Speaker 2: such a good person in all of our lives. So yeah,
- 41:50Speaker 2: we we appreciate Meg always, and yeah a lot. I
- 41:55Speaker 2: love that you had to call out the other chick.
- 41:57Speaker 2: Do you think people are going to figure out who
- 41:59Speaker 2: the other chick is?
- 42:00Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 42:00Speaker 2: She was a famous one and she licked it.
- 42:04Speaker 3: Yeah, that was tough.
- 42:06Speaker 2: That was tough.
- 42:07Speaker 3: When she showed me away to order room service once,
- 42:10Speaker 3: I was like, we are and I was pregnant, so
- 42:12Speaker 3: my hormones were not in a good stitch. I was like, yeah,
- 42:16Speaker 3: no more.
- 42:17Speaker 2: When she got her when we were at Craigs for
- 42:20Speaker 2: dinner and we were about to walk out and like
- 42:23Speaker 2: we were still going through the back, but she opened
- 42:25Speaker 2: up her those called cosmetic mirror, her cosmetic mirror to
- 42:29Speaker 2: touch up her lips. I was like, I am actually done.
- 42:33Speaker 2: Yeah it was a lot, but you know what, I
- 42:35Speaker 2: guess a lot of people do the touch ups. But
- 42:38Speaker 2: totally She's not Dad's type.
- 42:40Speaker 3: And we knew it.
- 42:41Speaker 2: We knew it. I was like, Dad is wearing overalls.
- 42:44Speaker 3: Yeah, and we're name ones from yesterday.
- 42:50Speaker 2: But thank you guys for tuning in to another episode
- 42:52Speaker 2: of too cheese and a pod. She is private, so
- 42:55Speaker 2: it's gonna be hard to find much on Justice, but
- 42:58Speaker 2: you could follow her at Justice Smelling and if she
- 43:01Speaker 2: likes your jewelry or whatever it is that you're slanging,
- 43:04Speaker 2: she may follow you back. If not, we'll let you
- 43:07Speaker 2: know in a couple of years when she comes back
- 43:09Speaker 2: on the pod, or I'll just video the crap out
- 43:12Speaker 2: of her at Christmas or whatever holiday. She's already trying
- 43:16Speaker 2: to plan out Fourth of July. I'm like, Jay, I'm
- 43:18Speaker 2: trying to get through this week. Calm your tits. But anyways,
- 43:23Speaker 2: thanks for tuning in. Thank you. Her Instagram name is
- 43:27Speaker 2: Justice Smellingcamp. She left the bird out, which I thought
- 43:29Speaker 2: was rude. Love you, Love you,
