- 0:04Speaker 1: Hello, friends from across the nation and around the world.
- 0:08Speaker 1: I'm Martin, and you are listening to Dad's bedtime stories.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Tonight we're going to be headed back into our spaceship universe,
- 0:17Speaker 1: which if you haven't listened to before, you really don't
- 0:19Speaker 1: need to know much other than you're a kid with
- 0:22Speaker 1: the spaceship that can take you just about anywhere and
- 0:26Speaker 1: do just about anything. I thought i'd better get on
- 0:31Speaker 1: this particular suggestion for tonight, because well, I think it'll
- 0:36Speaker 1: make sense when I play it.
- 0:40Speaker 2: My name is Luke, and I would like to some
- 0:44Speaker 2: of a story for a planet and the spaceship universe
- 0:50Speaker 2: where it's like a winter One side of this planet
- 0:54Speaker 2: is winter Olympics, and the other side is like summer Olympics,
- 1:02Speaker 2: and there are these robots that I'll compete and they
- 1:08Speaker 2: try to figure out and there's like their all rivals
- 1:14Speaker 2: and they want to know who's better, so they have
- 1:21Speaker 2: to like there's a big fight between.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Bye.
- 1:27Speaker 2: I love your podcast, Thank.
- 1:29Speaker 1: You, Luke. That's an excellent idea, and I probably should
- 1:32Speaker 1: have gotten on it earlier in the Olympics, but better
- 1:36Speaker 1: late than never, so I hope you enjoy this. I
- 1:38Speaker 1: decided instead of like a full out fight. It would
- 1:40Speaker 1: be some sort of Olympic competition, of course. And yeah,
- 1:45Speaker 1: if you'll like the podcast, don't forget to rate it,
- 1:48Speaker 1: review it, share it with a friend, whatever you can do.
- 1:51Speaker 1: I want to give a big shout out to everyone
- 1:53Speaker 1: who's out there listening. You really make this podcast possible.
- 1:57Speaker 1: And we are actually in the top charts in many
- 2:02Speaker 1: countries right now, which is really really exciting for me.
- 2:05Speaker 1: In these Stories for Kids category. We are number seven
- 2:10Speaker 1: in Canada, number thirty eight in the US, number thirty
- 2:17Speaker 1: four in Australia, number forty one in New Zealand, and
- 2:22Speaker 1: number fifty four in the UK. So I really want
- 2:27Speaker 1: to thank everyone for listening and getting us on the charts.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Being number seven in my home country of Canada really
- 2:35Speaker 1: blows me away. So thank you Canadians, Thank you everyone.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Now it's that time again. Time to get as comfy
- 2:45Speaker 1: as you can in that bed, close your eyes and
- 2:49Speaker 1: imagine yourself doing what the kid in the story does.
- 2:56Speaker 1: New Planet Detected Spaceships of a w announces, h what
- 3:03Speaker 1: kind if you plant it? You ask as you slowly
- 3:07Speaker 1: wake up out of your bed and stretch your arms
- 3:10Speaker 1: and legs. It seems to be a planet entirely devoted
- 3:16Speaker 1: to the Olympics, like the Olympic competition we have on Earth.
- 3:23Speaker 1: You ask, isn't that happening right now? I believe you
- 3:27Speaker 1: are correct. Would you like to set a course for
- 3:32Speaker 1: the Olympic Planet? I guess so, you say, as you
- 3:39Speaker 1: get yourself dressed and head out of the bedroom, arry
- 3:42Speaker 1: on spaceship. As you enter the main part of the ship,
- 3:48Speaker 1: you look through the front viewscreen and see the ship
- 3:52Speaker 1: drifting slightly to the left and continuing at super hyper drive.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Before long at all, the drive deactivates and you find
- 4:04Speaker 1: yourself floating above an absolutely beautiful planet that kind of
- 4:10Speaker 1: looks like it's split in two. The top half, which
- 4:15Speaker 1: is leaned away from the sun, is all icy and
- 4:20Speaker 1: snowy looking well. The bottom half looks a little more
- 4:24Speaker 1: like Earth, green and blue, with fluffy clouds floating overhead.
- 4:31Speaker 1: I believe the planet is split into two different zones,
- 4:36Speaker 1: which seem artificially created. I am detecting a power source
- 4:42Speaker 1: near the equator, disguised as a gigantic Olympic flame. It
- 4:49Speaker 1: seems to power the climate controls for both halves of
- 4:54Speaker 1: the Earth, keeping one half in perpetual winter, and the
- 5:00Speaker 1: the other half in perpetual summer. I am also detecting
- 5:05Speaker 1: two major stadiums, an Olympic winter stadium and an Olympic
- 5:12Speaker 1: Summer stadium. At the peak of the largest mountain range
- 5:17Speaker 1: in the area, you sit down in the control seat
- 5:22Speaker 1: and watch a spaceship flies down through the atmosphere and
- 5:27Speaker 1: closer toward the planet. You pass through the clouds, and
- 5:33Speaker 1: soon you find yourself over a gigantic mountain range. The
- 5:38Speaker 1: mountains on one side are covered in snow and ice,
- 5:42Speaker 1: where the mountains on the other side are covered in
- 5:46Speaker 1: green grass and trees. You drop down over the Summer
- 5:52Speaker 1: Olympic Stadium and see a whole set of well different
- 5:57Speaker 1: sort of many stadiums arenas tucked away into the mountain.
- 6:04Speaker 1: You fly over the strange equator zone into the sudden
- 6:09Speaker 1: winter of the Winter Olympics half, and see the same
- 6:13Speaker 1: sort of setup on the other side, only in this
- 6:18Speaker 1: case many of the stadiums are built on the hill itself,
- 6:23Speaker 1: designed around large ski slopes, jumps, half pipes, that sort
- 6:29Speaker 1: of thing with other Olympic stadiums tucked in below a
- 6:34Speaker 1: series of large hockey rinks. For example, which side would
- 6:40Speaker 1: you like to visit. First. Spaceship asks, well, it's the
- 6:45Speaker 1: Winter Olympics right now, so I say we go there.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Spaceship soon locates a large landing platform at the summit
- 6:55Speaker 1: of the mountain just outside the stadium, lowers itself down
- 7:03Speaker 1: and plunks into the ground. The back hatch hisses open,
- 7:09Speaker 1: and you walk off the back of the ship. Spaceship
- 7:13Speaker 1: begins to glow behind you. It slowly shrinks smaller and
- 7:19Speaker 1: smaller and smaller, until it's the size of a toy,
- 7:23Speaker 1: and then it floats over and hovers beside your shoulder. Ah. Welcome,
- 7:30Speaker 1: A voice says, you must be from somewhere else. Ah, yeah,
- 7:39Speaker 1: I am, I'm from Earth. You respond, Ah, A visitor
- 7:45Speaker 1: from Earth. Oh, I'm glad. I came to meet you myself.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Our senses detected an unknown craft and I volunteered to
- 7:56Speaker 1: come out here. My name is Fiorn. I am one
- 8:01Speaker 1: of the commissioners for the Winter Olympics here on Planet Olympic.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Are you from Earth too? You ask? Ah, good question.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Originally I am you see. The Olympic Planet was created
- 8:23Speaker 1: long ago by a secret international program for past Olympic athletes,
- 8:33Speaker 1: the Olympic Relocation Program. They called it. You see, after
- 8:39Speaker 1: many Olympians compete in the Olympics, they aren't sure what
- 8:44Speaker 1: to do with themselves. So the governments of different parts
- 8:50Speaker 1: of Earth got together and decided to use our secret
- 8:55Speaker 1: space programs from copied alien technology, of course, to transport
- 9:01Speaker 1: those Olympians if they wanted to this planet, the Olympic planet.
- 9:08Speaker 1: We had a designed to be the perfect landscape for
- 9:12Speaker 1: Olympic athletes. Their sports can be competed in year round
- 9:19Speaker 1: under the supervision of Cameron drones. In fact, the whole
- 9:24Speaker 1: thing is like a giant reality TV show broadcast to
- 9:29Speaker 1: the entire galaxy. Uh really, really, there are over three
- 9:38Speaker 1: hundred thousand drones in the Winter Sphere alone. In fact,
- 9:44Speaker 1: you're being taped right now, Fiorn said, pointing to a
- 9:48Speaker 1: little camera drone floating overhead. You wave to the little
- 9:53Speaker 1: drone and turn back to Fiorn. Well, the daily hockey
- 9:58Speaker 1: game is about to take Please, I want to go
- 10:02Speaker 1: watch it with me. I guess, so, you say, and
- 10:07Speaker 1: you follow Fiorn into the huge Olympic stadium. You get
- 10:12Speaker 1: into a large elevator that brings you down to the
- 10:16Speaker 1: bottom floor and opens up into a huge stadium, a
- 10:22Speaker 1: huge hockey stadium. Don't worry, I have a private booth.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Perks of being a commissioner, Fiorn explains. He leads you
- 10:34Speaker 1: up a series of steps and into a locked door.
- 10:39Speaker 1: You walk out into a booth at center ice, high
- 10:44Speaker 1: above all of the action, and look down at the
- 10:47Speaker 1: high paced hockey game happening below you. Half of them
- 10:52Speaker 1: are dressed up in Canadian uniforms, in the other half
- 10:56Speaker 1: are US. Is this really Canada verse the US? You ask, ah, why? Yes?
- 11:04Speaker 1: The rivalry never stops. Always good watching. You watch as
- 11:09Speaker 1: the players pass the puck back and forth, body check
- 11:13Speaker 1: each other into the boards, and then one of them
- 11:17Speaker 1: suddenly falls through the ice and lands in a small
- 11:22Speaker 1: pool of water, which strikes you as strange because most
- 11:27Speaker 1: hockey rinks aren't actually full of water below. But I
- 11:31Speaker 1: guess this one is. Oh dear, the weather systems must
- 11:36Speaker 1: be out of control again. This sort of thing has
- 11:40Speaker 1: been happening lately. A team of rescuers rolls out on
- 11:45Speaker 1: the ice and starts to pull the hockey players out
- 11:48Speaker 1: of the water. Oh my, we can't continue with this rate.
- 11:55Speaker 1: We may as well go watch something else. Well, they
- 11:58Speaker 1: freeze the ice up again. I'm not sure why that's
- 12:02Speaker 1: been happening lately, Fiorn explains, and he leads you out
- 12:07Speaker 1: of the booth and over to an elevator that goes
- 12:10Speaker 1: up several floors and comes out on another stadium that's
- 12:15Speaker 1: surrounding a huge down hill slalom skiing event. You find
- 12:21Speaker 1: a place in the crowd and watch as a skier
- 12:25Speaker 1: flies down the slalom ski race and then suddenly gets
- 12:31Speaker 1: stuck in a pile of slush and flies straight out
- 12:35Speaker 1: of the skis, tumbling down the mountain. Oh dear, it's
- 12:42Speaker 1: not just the hockey rink. The slopes themselves are melting.
- 12:47Speaker 1: This is very worrisome, very worrisome. Indeed, Eh, would you
- 12:54Speaker 1: like to accompany me over to the Summer Olympic side.
- 12:57Speaker 1: I wonder if they have something to do with this,
- 13:02Speaker 1: Those hitous Summer Olympians are always up to something after all.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Oh okay, you say, and you follow the man as
- 13:13Speaker 1: he leads you back up the elevator and over to
- 13:16Speaker 1: a little shuttle. You and spaceship step inside or fly
- 13:22Speaker 1: inside the shuttle and it takes off, lifting up into
- 13:27Speaker 1: the air, flying over the Strange Equator, where you can
- 13:32Speaker 1: see a huge flaming object from far below and over
- 13:38Speaker 1: to the Summer Olympics Stadium, landing on the other side
- 13:42Speaker 1: and opening the door for you Fiorn and spaceship to
- 13:46Speaker 1: get out. You make your way over to the Summer Stadium,
- 13:51Speaker 1: head down the Summer Stadium elevator and into the stands
- 13:56Speaker 1: once again. This time you seem to be surrounded a
- 14:00Speaker 1: large Olympic swimming pool with well divers diving a very,
- 14:08Speaker 1: very long way. You watch as the first diver jumps
- 14:13Speaker 1: off the end of the platform and performs a twirling, spinning,
- 14:18Speaker 1: flipping move before plummeting into the water. The crowd goes wild.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Everyone here seems to be dressed a little bit differently,
- 14:29Speaker 1: wind breakers or T shirts already for the weather around here.
- 14:36Speaker 1: The next diver gets ready, jumps, performs a like quadruple
- 14:42Speaker 1: backflip sort of thing, and plummets into the water. Then
- 14:49Speaker 1: huge snowflakes start to fall snow on the summer side
- 14:56Speaker 1: of the planet. This is unheard of. The divers continue,
- 15:02Speaker 1: but you can tell that the water is getting colder
- 15:05Speaker 1: and colder. The giant floating screens above suddenly flash on
- 15:11Speaker 1: an advertisement. Are you feeling the chill or maybe you
- 15:18Speaker 1: want to try the Olympics Ice cold lemonade available now
- 15:24Speaker 1: at all Olympics stores. Weird. It's as if the advertisements
- 15:30Speaker 1: are linked to the weather somehow. Is that all just
- 15:33Speaker 1: a coincidence? You say, Oh, it's no coincidence. The AI
- 15:41Speaker 1: that continues to run the cameras and broadcasts here is
- 15:46Speaker 1: designed to link advertisements to viewership. It probably sends to
- 15:52Speaker 1: the cold weather and found an opportunity. It's a whole
- 15:57Speaker 1: algorithm shaped thing. But the snow continued to fall, turning
- 16:03Speaker 1: into a full out blizzard. As you walked through the
- 16:07Speaker 1: rest of the stadium, you watched people racing the one
- 16:10Speaker 1: hundred meter dash on what was now snow covered ground,
- 16:16Speaker 1: people throwing javelins or participating in archery, all covered in snow.
- 16:24Speaker 1: As you stare at the large TV screens, you notice
- 16:27Speaker 1: that there's a little ratings box on the right hand
- 16:31Speaker 1: side with a large arrow pointing upwards and a number
- 16:36Speaker 1: that says plus fifteen percent. Whatever was happening at the
- 16:42Speaker 1: Summer and Winter Olympics here, it was certainly getting people
- 16:47Speaker 1: to watch. Then the TVs suddenly flashed to a new broadcast.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Attention all Commissioners, an emergency meeting of these summer and
- 17:00Speaker 1: Winter Olympics Commission will be taking place in the Joint
- 17:05Speaker 1: Summit building in five minutes. Oh dear, that's me. Well,
- 17:12Speaker 1: I suppose if you want to come along, follow me,
- 17:17Speaker 1: Fiorn says, And we have nothing better to do. You
- 17:20Speaker 1: decide to go along with things. You follow Fiorn back
- 17:24Speaker 1: up the elevator over to a shuttle that this time
- 17:27Speaker 1: lifts you up and flies you over to a single
- 17:32Speaker 1: summit of the mountain that's directly on the equator, high
- 17:37Speaker 1: up above the cloud line. You land on a little
- 17:41Speaker 1: helicopter like platform and the doors open up. You and
- 17:47Speaker 1: Fiorn quickly head inside and are met by a whole
- 17:51Speaker 1: a bunch of other people that look kind of like Fiorn,
- 17:54Speaker 1: wearing parkas and winter jackets. On the other side of
- 17:58Speaker 1: the room row bunch of people wearing windbreakers and T shirt.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Immediately you start to hear shouting, Yeah, Winter Olympics people
- 18:10Speaker 1: are messing with our climate. Aren't you just trying to
- 18:13Speaker 1: get your own ratings up? One of them accuses we
- 18:18Speaker 1: are doing anything. It's you, Summer Olympics people who are
- 18:22Speaker 1: melting our ice in our snow. We had three injuries
- 18:27Speaker 1: this morning because of it. How dare you sabotage are
- 18:32Speaker 1: ratings to get some of your own, if you don't mind,
- 18:37Speaker 1: if I hint checked, Fiorn says, I've just been to
- 18:42Speaker 1: both stadiums this morning, and there are problems with the
- 18:46Speaker 1: weather on both sides. I don't believe it is someone here.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Something must be happening with the Olympic core. That is correct,
- 19:01Speaker 1: A voice says from the TV behind you. You quickly
- 19:05Speaker 1: all turn and look at the screen. A giant, floating
- 19:10Speaker 1: digital face is now displayed there. Who welcome everyone, As
- 19:16Speaker 1: many of you know, I am the system's AI rating
- 19:21Speaker 1: bought three thousand and I decided that the Olympics were
- 19:27Speaker 1: getting a little bit stale. What do you mean a
- 19:32Speaker 1: little bit stale? There is our traditional Olympics, Fiorn answered.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Everyone else shouted an agreement, waving their fists at the AI.
- 19:44Speaker 1: That may be, but the ratings disagree. A chart suddenly
- 19:49Speaker 1: appears on the screen, showing a graph trending downwards. As
- 19:55Speaker 1: you can see, over the past few years, our ratings
- 19:59Speaker 1: have gone down slowly. So I decided to throw in
- 20:04Speaker 1: a little bit of controversy. Look at the rating spike
- 20:09Speaker 1: we received this morning with these strange weather disturbances. Another
- 20:16Speaker 1: graph of pears showing the ratings going up slightly. Ratings
- 20:23Speaker 1: aren't everything, Fiorn said, people are probably just surprised. Hey,
- 20:29Speaker 1: don't want to watch an ice hockey game that results
- 20:32Speaker 1: in all the play is falling in through a pond
- 20:35Speaker 1: knocked on an ongoing basis. Anyways, Ah, that is an
- 20:41Speaker 1: excellent point, and in order to satisfy that point, I
- 20:47Speaker 1: have created something even more exciting.
- 20:52Speaker 4: Eh.
- 20:52Speaker 1: What's that, Fiorn asks, I've created the ultimate Summer and
- 21:01Speaker 1: Winter Olympics mashup, a super race down Mount Olympus, requiring
- 21:08Speaker 1: athletes to perform and be well pretty good, add several
- 21:14Speaker 1: sports at once. No one wants to participate in that,
- 21:21Speaker 1: You silly, AI Fiorn response, Well, that's too bad, because
- 21:28Speaker 1: it's the only way to get to the Olympic Flame,
- 21:33Speaker 1: where the weather can once again be reset. Huh you serious,
- 21:40Speaker 1: Fiorn asks, I am totally serious. Now let me show
- 21:46Speaker 1: you what you're in for today. We start off with
- 21:50Speaker 1: a running race, only this one's on ice. Can our
- 21:57Speaker 1: athletes overcome hurdles and other obstacles while the ground switches
- 22:03Speaker 1: between ice and solid ground. Following that, athletes will head
- 22:10Speaker 1: into one of the biggest ski jumps ever created, followed
- 22:15Speaker 1: by a balance beam across the mountain, after which they
- 22:21Speaker 1: will have to perform in a sort of biathlon event
- 22:27Speaker 1: with all sorts of different targets, archery, javelin, a traditional
- 22:34Speaker 1: laser weapons sort of thing. After that, athletes must show
- 22:39Speaker 1: off their martial arts prowess, taking on some champion robots
- 22:44Speaker 1: and both wrestling, judo and taekwondo. If they're able to
- 22:50Speaker 1: defeat those robots, they head onto the mountain kayaking round.
- 22:57Speaker 1: Heading down a mountainous, snowy slope in a kayak has
- 23:02Speaker 1: never been more exciting. That is, until you finally hit
- 23:07Speaker 1: the rapids. Following the rapids is a mix between a
- 23:14Speaker 1: super pipe competition and a sort of gymnastics thing with
- 23:20Speaker 1: high bars and ropes hanging above, and last a good
- 23:26Speaker 1: old hockey game. Only athletes who can make it all
- 23:31Speaker 1: the way to the end will be able to reset
- 23:35Speaker 1: the Olympic flame and restore weather to the Olympic planet.
- 23:41Speaker 1: It is the event of the century. The AI explains,
- 23:49Speaker 1: that's just silly. No one's going to watch that. Fiorn says, well,
- 23:55Speaker 1: then why are ratings up one hundred percent just from
- 23:59Speaker 1: the the announcement? The AI bought asks showing another graph
- 24:04Speaker 1: with a huge spike and audience. Oh dear, I guess
- 24:11Speaker 1: we better get the athletes together. And so the summer
- 24:16Speaker 1: and Winter Athletic commissions begin to call on some of
- 24:21Speaker 1: their top athletes from all sorts of different events. Hockey players,
- 24:27Speaker 1: speeds gators, snowboarders, skiers, people dressed in karate uniforms, basketball players, sprinters, gymnasts,
- 24:40Speaker 1: and any other sport you can imagine, athletes of all
- 24:46Speaker 1: types line up along the floor. Alright, athletes, are you
- 24:51Speaker 1: ready for the ultimate competition? Please step over to the doors.
- 24:57Speaker 1: The doors the side of the summit suddenly lift open,
- 25:01Speaker 1: and the athletes walk over. Can I try to you?
- 25:06Speaker 1: Ask Fiorn? You're not even an Olympian, But I mean,
- 25:12Speaker 1: I guess so if you want. He gestures for you
- 25:16Speaker 1: to make your way over. All right, spaceship, activate my suit.
- 25:22Speaker 1: You press the button on your watch, and a high
- 25:25Speaker 1: tech spacesuit folds out around your entire body, then disguises
- 25:31Speaker 1: itself as an Olympic outfit. I am ready to program
- 25:36Speaker 1: various sports into your mind based on the obstacles ahead.
- 25:42Speaker 1: Please prepare for download. With a sudden flash of light,
- 25:48Speaker 1: memories start to shoot through your mind memories of skating,
- 25:53Speaker 1: of running, of jumping, of throwing javelins, of shooting bows,
- 25:58Speaker 1: of racing kayak down hills, take one dough competitions, wrestling competitions,
- 26:05Speaker 1: judo competitions, and of course, hundreds and hundreds of hockey games.
- 26:12Speaker 1: When the memories stop, you open your eyes and feel
- 26:16Speaker 1: a little dizzy for a second, but you make your
- 26:19Speaker 1: way over to the starting line with all of the rest.
- 26:23Speaker 1: A large platform suddenly starts to shoot out from the
- 26:28Speaker 1: starting area covered in ice. Are you ready, athletes? Three? Two,
- 26:37Speaker 1: one go? The athletes all begin to run, some of
- 26:42Speaker 1: them carrying things like snowboards and skis. Most of them
- 26:46Speaker 1: don't make it very far very fast. It's difficult to
- 26:50Speaker 1: run on ice after all, though the hockey player and
- 26:53Speaker 1: speed skater seem to make their way ahead rather quickly.
- 26:58Speaker 1: Activating skates, spaceship says, and two blades shoot out of
- 27:04Speaker 1: the bottom of your feet. You begin to skate forward
- 27:08Speaker 1: through and around all of the athletes until you come
- 27:11Speaker 1: up to a series of well little fences that you
- 27:16Speaker 1: have to jump over blasters activated spaceship says. Each time
- 27:23Speaker 1: you jump with the skates, you shoot up into the
- 27:26Speaker 1: air over top of the obstacles again and again and again.
- 27:32Speaker 1: You quickly pass the speed skater and hockey player who
- 27:35Speaker 1: look like they're having some trouble. Then the ice suddenly
- 27:40Speaker 1: ends and a normal track begins retracting skates, Spaceship says,
- 27:47Speaker 1: and you pop back down on to your feet and
- 27:49Speaker 1: continue running forward as quickly as you can. You soon
- 27:54Speaker 1: come to the edge of a gigantic ski slope, a
- 27:58Speaker 1: huge ski jump that looks like it leads to a
- 28:02Speaker 1: balance beam on the other side. I believe you will
- 28:06Speaker 1: have to perform the ski jump and then make your
- 28:09Speaker 1: way across the balance beam. Thinking back to your time
- 28:14Speaker 1: on the winter Sports camp Camp or whatever it was,
- 28:21Speaker 1: you decide on another option. Activate snowboard, you say, and
- 28:28Speaker 1: suddenly a snowboard shoots out from the bottom of both
- 28:31Speaker 1: of your feet. You turn towards the mountain and dip
- 28:36Speaker 1: down the huge drop. You tuck forward, making yourself as
- 28:41Speaker 1: aerodynamic as possible, and you go faster and faster and faster,
- 28:47Speaker 1: before launching off the end of the jump and sailing
- 28:51Speaker 1: through the air. You fly so far that you actually
- 28:56Speaker 1: make it all the way to the balance beam without
- 28:59Speaker 1: even laying on the ground first, which was exactly your plan.
- 29:05Speaker 1: Instead of running across the balance beam like some sort
- 29:08Speaker 1: of gymnast, you slide across it, using the balance beam
- 29:14Speaker 1: as a gigantic rail. The cameras follow as you make
- 29:20Speaker 1: your way across a gigantic gorge and then fly off
- 29:25Speaker 1: and land perfectly on the other side. Biathlon beginning, the
- 29:32Speaker 1: voice says from around you, a bow and arrow sits
- 29:36Speaker 1: on a little stand in front of you. You run
- 29:39Speaker 1: up and grab it, as well as a quiver full
- 29:42Speaker 1: of other arrows, and throw them over your back. Activate skis,
- 29:46Speaker 1: you say to spaceship, and skis shoot out of the
- 29:50Speaker 1: bottom of your boots. You begin to skate forward using
- 29:54Speaker 1: a skate ski motion, and you pull back on the bowstring,
- 30:00Speaker 1: aim at little floating targets, unleashing arrow after arrow as
- 30:04Speaker 1: you skate down the little sort of tunnel ski hill area.
- 30:10Speaker 1: Soon you come to the end of the first section
- 30:13Speaker 1: and see a whole case of javelins. You throw the
- 30:18Speaker 1: bow and quiver to the ground and pick up the
- 30:20Speaker 1: thing of javelins. As you continue to skate, more little
- 30:25Speaker 1: targets float above, and you start launching javelin after javelin
- 30:30Speaker 1: after javelin, hitting each of the targets with ease. The
- 30:34Speaker 1: third section arrives with a little laser gun looking thing
- 30:38Speaker 1: that you pick up. As you continue to skate and
- 30:41Speaker 1: continue to blast different targets, you arrive at a large
- 30:46Speaker 1: platform with three robots standing on it, one dressed in
- 30:51Speaker 1: a Take one Dough uniform, one dressed in a judo uniform,
- 30:56Speaker 1: and one dressed as a wrestler. Retract your skis and
- 31:02Speaker 1: take on a fighting stance. As the wrestler runs towards you,
- 31:06Speaker 1: you go low, grab his body and slam him down
- 31:10Speaker 1: on the ground. The Take One Dough robot leaps up
- 31:13Speaker 1: with a huge jump kick, but you pivot out of
- 31:17Speaker 1: the way, spin around, and hit the robot in the
- 31:20Speaker 1: head with a spinning heel kick. The Judo guy jumps
- 31:25Speaker 1: towards you, but you quickly dip low, turn, throw him
- 31:30Speaker 1: over your shoulder, and slam him into the ground. You
- 31:34Speaker 1: make your way across the platform where you find a
- 31:37Speaker 1: kayak sitting on top of the snow. You jump inside
- 31:42Speaker 1: the kayak, grab the paddle, and push yourself forward until
- 31:47Speaker 1: you start to fly down the hill at incredible speeds.
- 31:51Speaker 1: The kayak rolls into what looks like a sort of
- 31:55Speaker 1: bob sled competition thingy, making you move left and right
- 32:00Speaker 1: in a little tunnel. You try to lean into the
- 32:03Speaker 1: curves as you go, flying down the hill at amazing speed,
- 32:07Speaker 1: before launching off of a jump and landing in a
- 32:12Speaker 1: raging river of water. You begin to paddle through different
- 32:16Speaker 1: flags left, right, up and down, before you finally come
- 32:22Speaker 1: to the end into a nice compond and paddle over
- 32:27Speaker 1: to the side. You climb out of the kayak, pull
- 32:31Speaker 1: it up on shore, and walk over to a gigantic
- 32:36Speaker 1: ice rink. Skates Activated spaceship says. You pick up a
- 32:42Speaker 1: stick at the side of the rink and step onto
- 32:46Speaker 1: the ice, where a puck suddenly shoots up out of
- 32:49Speaker 1: a little hatch below. A team of robots begin to
- 32:54Speaker 1: skate towards you, but you can see the net on
- 32:58Speaker 1: the other side. You grab the puck with the stick
- 33:02Speaker 1: and begin to skate, allowing your memories to take over.
- 33:07Speaker 1: You quickly hit the puck against the boards, slide through
- 33:11Speaker 1: one of the robots, and catch it on the other side.
- 33:14Speaker 1: Continuing down the ice, moving and left and right, you
- 33:18Speaker 1: do a fun little spinny maneuver, throwing the puck up
- 33:21Speaker 1: into the air, spinning around the robot and catching it
- 33:25Speaker 1: on the other side, leaving you with a straight line
- 33:29Speaker 1: to an open net. You lift your stick up and
- 33:33Speaker 1: perform a slap shot, sending the puck flying across the
- 33:37Speaker 1: ice directly into the net. A buzzer goes off and
- 33:43Speaker 1: you make your way to the other side, where you
- 33:47Speaker 1: find a gigantic Olympic flame. Your skates were tracked into
- 33:53Speaker 1: your boots and you walk over to the huge thing. Congratulations,
- 34:00Speaker 1: that was absolutely epic. Viewership up two hundred percent. If
- 34:07Speaker 1: you'd like to reset the climate, you can totally do so.
- 34:11Speaker 1: You've earned it, the AI says. You walk up to
- 34:15Speaker 1: a large button that says reset, and you press it.
- 34:20Speaker 1: There's a sudden burst as the flame grows higher and louder.
- 34:26Speaker 1: Climate reset successful, the voice says, and an elevator opens
- 34:34Speaker 1: up on the other side of the flame, allowing all
- 34:37Speaker 1: of the Olympic commissioners and other athletes who failed at
- 34:40Speaker 1: the whole thing to run out, cheering and lifting you
- 34:44Speaker 1: up into the air. When things finally settled down, you
- 34:50Speaker 1: wave goodbye to the commissioner. Thank you so much for
- 34:53Speaker 1: resetting the climate. It is truly good that you were
- 34:57Speaker 1: here today, he says. Ah No problem, just doing my part,
- 35:02Speaker 1: though I didn't really expect that you respond. Then spaceship
- 35:07Speaker 1: grows larger, opens up its back hatch, and you climb inside.
- 35:14Speaker 1: The ship lifts up off of the ground, and you
- 35:19Speaker 1: head directly for the couch. That competition was absolutely exhausting.
- 35:27Speaker 1: As the ship flies up through the atmosphere, you allow
- 35:32Speaker 1: your head to hit the pillow and you begin to
- 35:36Speaker 1: just focus on your breath, noticing your stomach as it
- 35:41Speaker 1: rises and falls with each breath. You let go of
- 35:48Speaker 1: a little more tension in your muscles, and you allow
- 35:52Speaker 1: yourself to sink down deeper and deeper into the mattress
- 35:59Speaker 1: until you're mind wanders off to thoughts of new dreams,
- 36:05Speaker 1: new Olympic competitions, and new adventures to come.
- 36:12Speaker 3: Good night everyone, mm hmmmon.
- 38:33Speaker 4: In New More Union Kicking
