  Well, I want to talk to you a little bit about what this episode is going to

  be. You saw the title, What Doubt Knocks.

  So, you know, today I wanted to talk about something that every single one of
• 1:05
  us faces at some point in our walk with God.

  It's called doubt. Doubt can creep in so quietly, can't it?

  You could be praying, trusting, believing, and then out of nowhere,

  this little voice appears.

  Yeah, and it whispers. It says, what if God doesn't come through?

  I've been there. I've heard that voice. And I'll be honest, even as a man of
• 1:33
  faith, even as someone whose job and whose faith encourages others,
• 1:40
  I've had those moments where I've questioned, why me?
• 1:44
  Lord, why now? Oh God, I've been there.

  I was reading Mark chapter 9 verses, verse 24, and it said, immediately the.

  I do believe, help me overcome my unbelief.

  Yeah, it's a good part of the chapter of Mark. I would suggest you read that.

  You know, that verse, and I'm sorry for the pauses in between,

  but I'm, you know, it just gets me every time.

  That verse always hits home for me because it's so real.

  The man in the story isn't pretending to be perfect.

  He's not putting on a front. He's saying, God, I believe in you,
• 2:27
  but I'm struggling right now.

  Haven't we all felt that way?

  Maybe you're listening right now thinking, I believe, but I'm scared.

  I believe, but I'm tired. I believe, but I don't understand what you're doing.

  Let me tell you something.

  Doubt doesn't disqualify you. It humanizes you.

  God doesn't turn away from your questions.

  He draws closer when you bring them to Him.

  Listen to that, what I just said. God doesn't turn away from your questions.

  There was a time in my life when everything seemed to fall apart all at once. My plans failed.

  My prayers felt like they hit the ceiling.

  And I remember sitting in my car late at night saying, God, where are you?

  Crying, punching the steering wheel, even at times. But it wasn't in that moment,
• 3:30
  that silence, that I felt his peace for the first time in a long time.

  Not because he gave me an answer right away, but because he reminded me he was still within me.

  Faith isn't about having that doubt, it's about trusting God even when you do.

  I remember dealing with a person I loved with all my heart and soul,
• 3:52
  and her reasoning to turn her back away on me and moving away from me and quite
• 4:00
  honestly cheating on me was the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with. It hurt.

  Even now, you know, 26 years later, I still feel it.

  I still feel the doubt, and at times I still doubt myself.

  I struggle with my weight. I struggle with the way I look.

  I even struggle with the way I sound and the way I try to come across on this podcast.

  I know I'm trying to be myself and I am, but I'm doing my best to sound professionals.

  And then, you know, somebody said to me one day, just be yourself,

  man. And that's what I've always been, but there are doubts.

  Be who you were intended to be. Allow God to make, don't allow anyone to make
• 4:48
  what God has made in you be different.

  Because when God created you, it was done perfectly.

  Trust me. Let's pray.

  Heavenly Father, thank you for loving us through our questions and our doubts.

  When we struggle to understand your ways, remind us that your love never changes.

  Help us to trust that even when you don't see the full picture.

  You're working all things for our good.

  So strengthen the hearts of those listening who are weary today.

  Give them peace in the middle of uncertainty.

  God can handle your questions, and he's not going anywhere. So drive safe. Be safe.
