October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. More than 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men in the U.S. have experienced rape, physical violence, or stalking by an intimate partner in their lifetime. An estimated five people, mostly women, lose their lives to domestic violence every day. Maria Corona, who leads Violence Free Iowa: The Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence, joined the Fearless podcast to discuss survivors' experiences and the support organizations in Iowa that advocate on their behalf.
