- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Cats and Pudding Podcast. A melting pot
- 0:06Speaker 1: of pudding.
- 0:07Speaker 2: And now, here's Jen.
- 0:09Speaker 3: Good afternoon, everybody, and welcome to this episode of Cats
- 0:12Speaker 3: and Pudding Podcast. And today, oh my goodness, I mean,
- 0:16Speaker 3: this is going to be a great episode, everyone, because
- 0:18Speaker 3: I have two of, like, my favorite people on the
- 0:20Speaker 3: planet with me today.
- 0:22Speaker 1: I have my wonderful co-host, Tony Cannoli, with me, my son,
- 0:26Speaker 1: and mother, Daly. Hi.
- 0:27Speaker 3: And I have Mr. Sal Costas with me. And I'm
- 0:30Speaker 3: so happy that he's here. And I'm so happy he's
- 0:33Speaker 3: up from Florida visiting us. So I'll let everybody know
- 0:36Speaker 3: you live in Florida. No, that's totally fine.
- 0:38Speaker 1: I didn't give him your address or anything.
- 0:39Speaker 4: No, that's good.
- 0:40Speaker 1: You're good.
- 0:40Speaker 4: Florida's a big state.
- 0:42Speaker 3: They're not going to be able to find you unless
- 0:44Speaker 3: they Google you. Unless they track you.
- 0:46Speaker 1: So, so nice to have you here, Sal.
- 0:48Speaker 4: Yeah, thank you. It's awesome.
- 0:49Speaker 1: I'm so glad that you're here on the show. And,
- 0:52Speaker 1: you know, we got friendly on, you know, on Instagram.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 0:57Speaker 3: And this is like the first time we're meeting each other. Like,
- 0:59Speaker 3: Saturday was the first time we met each other. We
- 1:00Speaker 3: were all at PaisanaCon together, which was a great event, everybody. PaisanaCon,
- 1:04Speaker 3: if you've ever been, you've got to go. I'm shouting
- 1:06Speaker 3: out to PaisanaCon. And, you know, it's just been, you've
- 1:10Speaker 3: just been like a great supporter of me. And I
- 1:12Speaker 3: just think you're awesome.
- 1:13Speaker 4: You're awesome. You're awesome. And you're funny. So are you.
- 1:17Speaker 1: I love you. So tell us, Sal, how did this
- 1:20Speaker 1: all get started for you?
- 1:21Speaker 4: So I actually got really my start in the music
- 1:24Speaker 4: industry when I was like 20 years old. My band
- 1:27Speaker 4: signed to Def Jam Records.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Really?
- 1:28Speaker 4: Yes. And we had.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Rap?
- 1:32Speaker 2: Well.
- 1:32Speaker 4: We were a rock band. I love that. I had
- 1:36Speaker 4: a huge mohawk. Yeah, look it up.
- 1:39Speaker 1: I love it.
- 1:40Speaker 4: And our very first song that we had had Ludacris
- 1:44Speaker 4: on it. It actually went number one in America.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
- 1:46Speaker 4: Yeah, we went, you know, and over the years had
- 1:48Speaker 4: multiple songs in the top 40, multi-platinum, you know, by
- 1:53Speaker 4: this time now. And I'm still involved in the music industry,
- 1:56Speaker 4: but like a couple of months ago, I posted just
- 1:59Speaker 4: a stupid video, maybe in April on Instagram and it
- 2:03Speaker 4: just went viral.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Everybody loved that.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:06Speaker 4: And I was like, oh, that's, that's strange. It was
- 2:08Speaker 4: just me talking about like my Italian, like I'm first
- 2:11Speaker 4: generation Italian. So I was just talking about some of
- 2:13Speaker 4: these things. Just speak.
- 2:15Speaker 2: I don't.
- 2:15Speaker 4: My sisters both speak fluently, but they're nine and 11
- 2:18Speaker 4: years older than me.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Okay.
- 2:19Speaker 4: By the time I came around.
- 2:20Speaker 1: They weren't talking.
- 2:22Speaker 4: My dad would speak to me in like a hybrid
- 2:24Speaker 4: of English and like my Latin, which is the town
- 2:27Speaker 4: in Calabria he'd come from.
- 2:29Speaker 1: So. Oh, you're Calabrese?
- 2:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:30Speaker 4: Calabrese.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:31Speaker 4: So, but I won't, I won't actually get more fluent,
- 2:35Speaker 4: you know, I've lost a lot of it over the years.
- 2:36Speaker 4: Cause you know, my parents want us to assimilate after,
- 2:39Speaker 4: you know? Well, So then here we are. And now
- 2:41Speaker 4: this is going on. It's very strange because it's just
- 2:43Speaker 4: like this whole social media thing is crazy. But it's
- 2:46Speaker 4: just moving. So I'm just rolling with it, you know.
- 2:48Speaker 1: And it's different for you because you are like on
- 2:51Speaker 1: one in like this other genre. And now here you are.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Embracing.
- 2:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:56Speaker 3: But I could see you being like I could totally
- 2:57Speaker 3: see you being on a rock band. Like now I'm
- 2:59Speaker 3: looking at you with like thinking of you with the
- 3:01Speaker 3: long hair.
- 3:02Speaker 1: I could see it.
- 3:02Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:03Speaker 3: But, you know, that was me, too. I was a
- 3:05Speaker 3: total rocker, too, when I was young.
- 3:07Speaker 1: But I also hung out with the Guidos.
- 3:09Speaker 4: But I was.
- 3:10Speaker 1: I was into the hair bands. My hair was like,
- 3:12Speaker 1: I had my hair done up like Nikki Sixx.
- 3:14Speaker 4: Like Howl Crew, Twisted Sister.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:17Speaker 1: I mean, I'll show you.
- 3:18Speaker 3: I don't know if you saw the picture of me
- 3:19Speaker 3: up there with all my fan posters. That was me
- 3:23Speaker 3: at 15.
- 3:23Speaker 4: Yeah. I played guitar for Poison. I love that. When
- 3:27Speaker 4: they were actually, they were on tour with Motley Crue.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Oh my God.
- 3:30Speaker 4: And Michael called me out to come play one night
- 3:32Speaker 4: with them. And I didn't even get a chance to rehearse.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Wow.
- 3:35Speaker 4: He just called me and I went out with my
- 3:38Speaker 4: wife and we just, I had no sound check or anything.
- 3:40Speaker 4: He's like, oh, don't worry, brother. I know you're going
- 3:42Speaker 4: to kill it. Just come on stage and do your thing.
- 3:44Speaker 4: So yeah, he's super cool.
- 3:46Speaker 2: That's amazing. That's amazing.
- 3:47Speaker 1: And you still, are you still wanting to still do
- 3:50Speaker 1: that too?
- 3:50Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm still, I'm still in music. I'm actually getting,
- 3:53Speaker 4: I'm in the studio right now. And I kind of like,
- 3:57Speaker 4: both of these things are kind of happening at the
- 3:59Speaker 4: same time. So I'm kind of just juggling the social
- 4:00Speaker 4: media thing and working on an album right now. And yeah,
- 4:04Speaker 4: so it's been fun.
- 4:04Speaker 1: That's awesome.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:05Speaker 1: And so your rock is like your main genre.
- 4:08Speaker 4: Well, yeah, but, Rock is my main thing that I.
- 4:12Speaker 1: You have to freestyle if you're Italian.
- 4:14Speaker 4: Yeah, but I love all music. Exactly.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 4:17Speaker 4: But it's funny. I grew up the same way. I
- 4:19Speaker 4: was listening to rock music, but I hung around. I
- 4:22Speaker 4: lived in an Italian neighborhood.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Right.
- 4:23Speaker 3: So everybody listened to TKA as they were listening to that.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Now, you grew up in Canada or you grew up
- 4:29Speaker 1: in Florida?
- 4:30Speaker 4: No, I grew up in Toronto and I moved to Florida.
- 4:32Speaker 1: There's a lot of Italians in Toronto.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 4:34Speaker 1: It's a big base up there. You guys have a
- 4:36Speaker 1: nice feast up there too.
- 4:37Speaker 4: Yeah, we do. It's gone smaller over the years. All
- 4:40Speaker 4: of them have gone smaller.
- 4:41Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 4:41Speaker 4: Yeah. It's sad. It's sad. And it's gone more spread out.
- 4:45Speaker 4: Like when I was a kid, my whole neighborhood was
- 4:46Speaker 4: an Italian neighborhood. Right. And, you know, more people are
- 4:49Speaker 4: moving in and things are spreading out. And I don't
- 4:51Speaker 4: know if it's the same here, but like I'm noticing
- 4:53Speaker 4: back home a lot, like everyone's kind of like, It's
- 4:57Speaker 4: not as condensed and it's not as vibrant as it
- 5:00Speaker 4: once was. And that's part of the reason why I
- 5:02Speaker 4: started doing this. Because I was like, I want to
- 5:03Speaker 4: bring the community nationally together.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Right? Yeah.
- 5:07Speaker 4: Which is cool.
- 5:08Speaker 3: Well, we have the Italian American Civil Rights League that
- 5:10Speaker 3: you should join. You should start a chapter by you
- 5:14Speaker 3: in Florida.
- 5:14Speaker 4: You know, I messaged Mike and I told him, Mike Crispy,
- 5:16Speaker 4: I told him I'm going to actually meet him today.
- 5:18Speaker 4: Shout out to Mike Crispy, everybody.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 5:21Speaker 4: Really good guy. He's going to be there today. I
- 5:23Speaker 4: think I said John.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Oh yeah.
- 5:24Speaker 4: I'm going to go say hello to him for sure.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Maybe you can do that because that would be great.
- 5:27Speaker 4: That would be awesome. I'd be totally down with that.
- 5:29Speaker 1: And we need to do this. You know, it's, you know,
- 5:31Speaker 1: we can't lose our heritage because we're such, it was
- 5:35Speaker 1: so important to the, the, the growth of the United States.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Like, you know, it's like, The whole thing happened with
- 5:41Speaker 3: Little Italy and that they forgot us on the fight
- 5:44Speaker 3: for map.
- 5:44Speaker 1: And it was this whole thing. And everybody's like, oh.
- 5:48Speaker 1: And I'm commenting. Listen, I don't like to talk politics.
- 5:51Speaker 1: I have my own views. I don't like to really
- 5:53Speaker 1: go into my politics on social media because... It's just,
- 5:57Speaker 1: you just don't want to.
- 5:57Speaker 4: But don't mess with the Italians.
- 5:58Speaker 1: But don't mess, listen, don't mess. And they're like, oh,
- 6:01Speaker 1: you should forgive.
- 6:02Speaker 3: No, I'm not forgiving somebody who deliberately forgot us on purpose.
- 6:06Speaker 4: How do you forget?
- 6:06Speaker 1: And then it's nerve to say that we're the problem.
- 6:10Speaker 1: We've been the problem in New York.
- 6:13Speaker 2: No. Really?
- 6:13Speaker 1: Absolutely not.
- 6:14Speaker 2: No.
- 6:14Speaker 4: Really?
- 6:14Speaker 2: No, listen, the Italians helped build New York City. That's right.
- 6:19Speaker 2: They helped build the city. And honestly, it's like one
- 6:22Speaker 2: of the, honestly, one of the most hardest working, one
- 6:24Speaker 2: of the most hard working cities. Some of the hardest
- 6:27Speaker 2: working people ever. Yes. It's been proven. It's literally been shown.
- 6:31Speaker 2: It's been proven.
- 6:31Speaker 4: It's everything. We built the subways, damn it.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Like, you know. I know. And we came here. We
- 6:38Speaker 1: didn't ask for handouts, you know. And we didn't ask for.
- 6:41Speaker 1: We did it. Yeah.
- 6:43Speaker 3: Listen, every person who came over from the other side
- 6:45Speaker 3: got it. You had to make your bones here and
- 6:48Speaker 3: that's just the way it is. But we weren't mad
- 6:50Speaker 3: that we had to do it.
- 6:51Speaker 4: No, no.
- 6:51Speaker 1: We had to.
- 6:52Speaker 4: Actually, there was a deep sense of pride. Yes.
- 6:55Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 6:56Speaker 4: So when my family came over from Calabria, they had nothing.
- 7:00Speaker 4: They had nothing. And my parents, even my grandfather, my parents,
- 7:04Speaker 4: they're just like, don't take anything from nobody. Make your
- 7:07Speaker 4: own bones, work hard, make something of yourself. That's who
- 7:11Speaker 4: we are. We have pride in what we do. So
- 7:13Speaker 4: it's kind of like to exclude.
- 7:15Speaker 1: us.
- 7:15Speaker 4: It's like, bro, what are you doing?
- 7:16Speaker 1: No, I wasn't right.
- 7:18Speaker 3: And, you know, it's just, I think that bringing us
- 7:20Speaker 3: all together, I like that idea. Nationally, we should, because we're,
- 7:25Speaker 3: we have a big population in.
- 7:27Speaker 1: The United States. Yes, we do.
- 7:28Speaker 3: And you know, one thing I was like, I think
- 7:30Speaker 3: we're 18% in the United States.
- 7:31Speaker 4: Yes, that's big. That's big. One thing I was saying, like,
- 7:34Speaker 4: I actually posted a video about this the other day,
- 7:37Speaker 4: was this, like, it's, in a way, like I've also
- 7:41Speaker 4: felt too, like even there's a lot of Italian and
- 7:43Speaker 4: Italian hate on each other. It's like, yes. Whereas it's like,
- 7:47Speaker 4: if you start to become successful at something, there's like
- 7:48Speaker 4: a lot of jealousy. And I don't like that. I
- 7:50Speaker 4: don't like that either. I don't like that. So that's
- 7:53Speaker 4: the whole thing. I was just like, why I was
- 7:55Speaker 4: so excited to connect with you guys and other people
- 7:57Speaker 4: around the country is because it's like, like if we're
- 7:59Speaker 4: going to be the voice for that culture, It's just like,
- 8:02Speaker 4: I want to have like unity and just bring everybody together.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Yes.
- 8:06Speaker 4: You know? And that's how we keep this thing alive.
- 8:09Speaker 1: But that's true. And there are, there are people in
- 8:12Speaker 1: our Joe and Ron.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Who are jealous.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Who are jealous. And they want to get ahead and
- 8:16Speaker 1: they don't want to see other people get ahead. Which is, listen,
- 8:18Speaker 1: there's room for everybody.
- 8:19Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 8:20Speaker 1: There's room for everybody.
- 8:20Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:21Speaker 1: And what's the big deal? Like, you know, you don't
- 8:23Speaker 1: have to corner, you know, you know, whatever. And it's fine.
- 8:26Speaker 3: There's everybody has, has their own shtick. And that's just
- 8:30Speaker 3: what it is. And we can all advance together and
- 8:33Speaker 3: help one another.
- 8:34Speaker 4: That's the best way to do it.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Right. And it's so much more fun that way. Yes.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Cause it's like, you know, I love it. I love
- 8:40Speaker 1: like when everybody's like together and we're all at an
- 8:42Speaker 1: event together and it's like, just, it's a great time.
- 8:45Speaker 1: It's so much fun.
- 8:46Speaker 4: A hundred percent.
- 8:46Speaker 1: You know, right.
- 8:47Speaker 3: I mean, we all have a commonality. So it's like, we,
- 8:51Speaker 3: we're all, we're all Italian. And like, nobody knows how
- 8:54Speaker 3: to be Italian.
- 8:54Speaker 1: But Italians.
- 8:55Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 8:56Speaker 1: You know, and that's it.
- 8:57Speaker 4: And everybody wants to be Italian.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Everybody wants to be Italian. Even if they say they don't,
- 9:01Speaker 1: they joke.
- 9:02Speaker 4: That's so true. They're lying.
- 9:03Speaker 1: They're lying.
- 9:04Speaker 4: So true.
- 9:05Speaker 2: It's funny.
- 9:05Speaker 4: Somebody messaged me on my Instagram the other day. And
- 9:07Speaker 4: he's just like, take your Italian culture and shove it
- 9:09Speaker 4: up your ass. Say that to my face, mofo. But
- 9:12Speaker 4: I was like, so you're not eating pizza?
- 9:14Speaker 1: Right.
- 9:15Speaker 4: You never had a slice of pizza. Yeah, exactly.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Right, you're not having tomato sauce.
- 9:19Speaker 2: You're not having a cannoli liquid.
- 9:22Speaker 1: What's that word? Don't appropriate on my culture. That's another thing.
- 9:26Speaker 1: You know, everybody says that about this appropriation stuff.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Yes.
- 9:29Speaker 3: More people appropriate on our culture than anybody in any
- 9:33Speaker 3: other culture.
- 9:33Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly.
- 9:34Speaker 3: And I take that as a sign of I respect
- 9:37Speaker 3: the people that are doing that.
- 9:38Speaker 1: I think that's great. You know, some things are a
- 9:40Speaker 1: little weird. Like, you know, like I saw somebody like in,
- 9:44Speaker 1: you know, it was, I think it was like, I
- 9:45Speaker 1: don't know if it was a Haitian restaurant. They had
- 9:47Speaker 1: their own four pizza. I'm like, I don't got a
- 9:49Speaker 1: problem with it. Like, that's great. Like, you want to
- 9:51Speaker 1: try it? You want to have it? You know, go ahead.
- 9:53Speaker 1: You want to put pineapples or some shit on it?
- 9:55Speaker 1: Would I put that? You want to put some gold?
- 9:57Speaker 1: It's fine. We don't got a problem with it. I'm
- 9:59Speaker 1: okay with it.
- 10:00Speaker 3: I'm not saying, oh, don't you touch it and appropriate
- 10:02Speaker 3: my Italian.
- 10:04Speaker 1: But that's us.
- 10:05Speaker 4: You know, another thing that I love about what like our,
- 10:08Speaker 4: like our culture and our people do, we kind of
- 10:10Speaker 4: own our stereotype.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Yes, we do. And embrace it.
- 10:14Speaker 4: Embrace it and it loses the power. So it's like,
- 10:15Speaker 4: you can call me whatever you want. It doesn't hurt me.
- 10:18Speaker 4: We've embraced it. And we laugh at it. And we
- 10:20Speaker 4: laugh at it. And that's something that I kind of
- 10:22Speaker 4: love about.
- 10:23Speaker 1: We don't get angry over it and like, oh, you're being...
- 10:26Speaker 1: This way. No, it's okay. I don't like when people
- 10:29Speaker 1: do think that we're stupid. And when people come up
- 10:31Speaker 1: to us.
- 10:32Speaker 4: Yes.
- 10:32Speaker 1: And that bothers me.
- 10:33Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 10:33Speaker 1: That I don't like.
- 10:34Speaker 4: I don't like that either.
- 10:35Speaker 1: You know.
- 10:35Speaker 4: That's degrading.
- 10:36Speaker 1: That is degrading. Like you're going to equate me to
- 10:38Speaker 1: the characters you see on TV. Yes.
- 10:40Speaker 3: You equate me to Tony's. No, you're not going to
- 10:43Speaker 3: equate me to that. I'm an educated person. Italy is, Italians,
- 10:47Speaker 3: we created food, art, fashion.
- 10:50Speaker 4: Yeah, music.
- 10:51Speaker 1: Like, those, music. All of it. These beautiful, four, the
- 10:55Speaker 1: biggest things on the planet that everybody is, you know.
- 11:00Speaker 4: Our cuisine is everywhere.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Exactly. Everywhere. Everywhere.
- 11:03Speaker 4: And what kid didn't have a poster of, like, a
- 11:05Speaker 4: Ferrari or a Lamborghini?
- 11:06Speaker 1: Exactly. And really.
- 11:07Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying?
- 11:08Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 11:09Speaker 2: And who didn't, and who didn't have, like, either, like, Versace, Gucci,
- 11:12Speaker 2: like something.
- 11:13Speaker 4: Versace shades. Versace shades.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Love it. I like your glasses. You rock the glasses, Sal.
- 11:22Speaker 4: I'm blind as shit, so I had no choice. It's
- 11:25Speaker 4: at this point where I just... It's like I have
- 11:28Speaker 4: to rock. I have to rock. I can't wear contacts
- 11:30Speaker 4: either because one of my eyes, I've got like an astigmatism.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Oh, same here.
- 11:33Speaker 4: Same here, yeah. I cannot wear contacts. They just dry
- 11:37Speaker 4: the shit out of my eyes.
- 11:38Speaker 2: No, yeah, I can't wear them.
- 11:39Speaker 1: I hate contacts. I think glasses are so cool.
- 11:42Speaker 4: They made a big comeback. They made a comeback, and
- 11:45Speaker 4: I always like, I put glasses on. I'm like, man,
- 11:47Speaker 4: I look like a nerd, but I'm like.
- 11:48Speaker 1: No, you look, they look great. I love wearing glasses, too.
- 11:52Speaker 4: I like to. Are those prescription?
- 11:54Speaker 1: No, these aren't. I should be wearing them. I need
- 11:56Speaker 1: reading glasses. But otherwise, I have good vision. I have
- 11:59Speaker 1: perfect vision. But I love, like, the clear glasses. It
- 12:02Speaker 1: looks cool. I have my big ones.
- 12:04Speaker 3: I love my Uncle June glasses. I love my Uncle
- 12:08Speaker 3: June glasses. My Donny. Jay-Z glasses. Um, but you are,
- 12:13Speaker 3: you have a sense, you have a great, I love
- 12:15Speaker 3: your style. It's so much fun. We were actually talking
- 12:17Speaker 3: about yesterday at the play. We did the married to
- 12:20Speaker 3: the mop play yesterday in Rhode Island.
- 12:22Speaker 4: Awesome.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Another great group of Italians in Rhode Island.
- 12:24Speaker 2: The best.
- 12:25Speaker 3: And, uh, they would say, we're saying like, oh, Sal
- 12:28Speaker 3: came to Paisanica looking like sharp.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Like you did. Like I would say, you did. You
- 12:32Speaker 1: came looking sharp.
- 12:33Speaker 4: I appreciate that.
- 12:35Speaker 1: You did.
- 12:35Speaker 4: I don't, I don't like to look like a slob.
- 12:37Speaker 4: You know, I saved that from when I'm at home,
- 12:38Speaker 4: you know?
- 12:39Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 12:39Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I got some, I got chickens and stuff,
- 12:41Speaker 4: so I can't wear this. You have chickens too? Yeah,
- 12:43Speaker 4: I got chickens.
- 12:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:44Speaker 4: I got a hedgehog and I got a, you have
- 12:46Speaker 4: a hedgehog? And I got, well, it's my daughter's and
- 12:48Speaker 4: I got a rooster that lives in our house.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Okay. What's his name?
- 12:52Speaker 4: His name's Kolojiro.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Uh, I love that. I love it.
- 12:57Speaker 3: We have a rooster that lives in our neighborhood. I
- 12:59Speaker 3: live in Harrod Beach. His name is Enzo. And he
- 13:02Speaker 3: just roams around. He walks up and down Crosby Boulevard.
- 13:05Speaker 4: They're the best.
- 13:06Speaker 1: And then the sightings of Enzo when he gets out.
- 13:09Speaker 3: People post them on Facebook and on Instagram.
- 13:11Speaker 1: They'll be like, has anybody seen Enzo? Oh, he's walking around.
- 13:14Speaker 1: He's walking down 163rd Avenue right now.
- 13:16Speaker 3: He's passing by the Cavallari's houses right now, so let's
- 13:19Speaker 3: go get him.
- 13:19Speaker 1: They're badass.
- 13:21Speaker 4: He is badass.
- 13:21Speaker 1: They are. I love them. They're so cool. Do you
- 13:24Speaker 1: lay a lot of eggs? Do they lay a lot
- 13:25Speaker 1: of eggs, your chickens?
- 13:26Speaker 4: Yeah, so we have 10 chickens right now. Three of
- 13:29Speaker 4: them are almost full-grown.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Oh, you know who's going to be jealous? Sylvia. You
- 13:32Speaker 1: know Sylvia, the comedian.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 13:33Speaker 1: My friend Sylvia.
- 13:34Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Wait. Let's talk because he's going to be jealous. Okay.
- 13:39Speaker 4: How many? So right now, three of them aren't laying eggs.
- 13:42Speaker 4: They're not big enough because I raise them from a
- 13:44Speaker 4: day old.
- 13:45Speaker 1: I love that.
- 13:46Speaker 4: So we get about seven a day, six or seven
- 13:48Speaker 4: a day.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Wow, that's a lot.
- 13:48Speaker 4: Yeah, but I have four kids. So you eat them?
- 13:51Speaker 4: We eat. They're gone the second.
- 13:53Speaker 1: You're going to have a lot more when they get older. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 13:56Speaker 1: The chickens are going to lay a lot more.
- 13:57Speaker 4: Each one lays about one egg a day. I love that.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Do you have different types of chickens?
- 14:02Speaker 4: No, I have all different types. I don't know what
- 14:04Speaker 4: the hell they are. Idiot.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Idiot.
- 14:10Speaker 1: And different colored eggs.
- 14:11Speaker 4: Different colored eggs.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:13Speaker 4: We had all different colored eggs. They all look different.
- 14:15Speaker 4: Some of them look like, yes, they're really, they're actually
- 14:17Speaker 4: really freaking cool because like we got them since they
- 14:20Speaker 4: were Dale. So like they're just used to hanging out with,
- 14:22Speaker 4: if they see you come outside, they'll all just.
- 14:24Speaker 1: Come over and hang out with you.
- 14:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:26Speaker 1: There's a rooster come in and just like sit.
- 14:27Speaker 4: The rooster lives in the house. So we do movie nights,
- 14:30Speaker 4: and he'll just sit on our laps. Yeah, he just
- 14:32Speaker 4: hangs out. And he's a miniature rooster. So he's the
- 14:35Speaker 4: size of a pigeon.
- 14:36Speaker 1: Does he try to pollinate everybody?
- 14:38Speaker 4: Well, so what happened was, because he's miniature, they all
- 14:42Speaker 4: tried to kill him. Because, yeah. But he's like, this
- 14:45Speaker 4: guy's like a Calabrese rooster.
- 14:47Speaker 1: I love that.
- 14:48Speaker 4: He tried to fight his way, like, he almost died.
- 14:52Speaker 4: Just beating up all these ticks.
- 14:57Speaker 1: You should do a video about your rooster.
- 15:00Speaker 4: I did one because we didn't know he was a rooster.
- 15:02Speaker 4: We thought he was a chicken. So I did this
- 15:04Speaker 4: video where I'm talking about, like, I fell in love
- 15:06Speaker 4: with this girl, and she had these beautiful eyes, and
- 15:09Speaker 4: I found out that she was a guy. And I
- 15:12Speaker 4: show the rooster, you know?
- 15:14Speaker 1: I love that. I love that. That's so cute. So
- 15:17Speaker 1: now he's okay with.
- 15:18Speaker 4: The pack now. They're all friends. Well, no, no, no, no.
- 15:20Speaker 4: He's not. That's why he lives in the house.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Oh, my God. So he's got to keep away from them?
- 15:23Speaker 2: Yes.
- 15:24Speaker 4: He's completely set.
- 15:24Speaker 1: But what happens if you want another chicken? You can't
- 15:26Speaker 1: let him go out and pollinate it?
- 15:27Speaker 2: No, no, no.
- 15:28Speaker 1: I can't.
- 15:28Speaker 4: I can't. No, because they just, they've turned on him
- 15:31Speaker 4: because he's like, he's too short and they don't like
- 15:33Speaker 4: short guys, apparently.
- 15:35Speaker 1: They don't like Italians.
- 15:36Speaker 4: Yeah. And these are some big fat chickens too. So
- 15:39Speaker 4: they're like, get out of here. We got to get you.
- 15:41Speaker 1: And how many chickens you have total?
- 15:43Speaker 4: 10 plus him. So 11.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Sam is... They have another... Wait, so you have 12...
- 15:49Speaker 1: They'll have 10 chickens.
- 15:50Speaker 4: 10 chickens and the rooster.
- 15:51Speaker 1: And the rooster.
- 15:52Speaker 4: And three dogs.
- 15:53Speaker 1: That's a lot.
- 15:54Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 15:55Speaker 1: The kids love them.
- 15:55Speaker 4: Yeah, the kids love it.
- 15:57Speaker 1: The kids love it.
- 15:57Speaker 4: Our house is just so freaking loud. Like, I don't
- 15:59Speaker 4: get a moment of peace ever.
- 16:01Speaker 1: How many kids? Four. God, you're busy.
- 16:04Speaker 4: I'm freaking busy.
- 16:05Speaker 1: You are. What's the pecking order of the.
- 16:08Speaker 4: 10, 7, 3, one month.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Jesus Christ.
- 16:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:12Speaker 4: You're busy.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Are you going to have any more?
- 16:14Speaker 4: I'm going to homeschool them. Yeah. And my wife's just like,
- 16:17Speaker 4: she owns that old thing. She's like, I'll teach him
- 16:19Speaker 4: how to wrestle. You want to wrestle? I'll teach you
- 16:22Speaker 4: guys how to wrestle. That's it.
- 16:28Speaker 1: With an arm wrestle today. That's on the curriculum. Arm
- 16:31Speaker 1: wrestling and making sauce. That's it. I love that.
- 16:34Speaker 4: And I teach him about the, we have a couple
- 16:36Speaker 4: run of different businesses. So I teach them, I take
- 16:38Speaker 4: them around for all that kind of stuff too.
- 16:40Speaker 1: I love that. They're pretty smart. um and so does
- 16:44Speaker 1: your as your wife is like does she is she.
- 16:47Speaker 4: Just home with the kids now doing she's like total
- 16:50Speaker 4: mom mode she's like spends her day taking care of
- 16:52Speaker 4: the kids homeschooling beautiful by yeah she is beautiful she's
- 16:55Speaker 4: very beautiful and she's an amazing baker so she's like
- 16:57Speaker 4: i love that it's hard to not get fat in that.
- 17:00Speaker 1: House yeah yeah and she's italian too.
- 17:03Speaker 4: No she's jewish she's all white yes yes yeah she's
- 17:07Speaker 4: she's she's jewish but she's like Italian.
- 17:10Speaker 1: She's Italian-Jewish.
- 17:11Speaker 4: You know what I'm talking about? Yes. We call them
- 17:14Speaker 4: a ju-jean. Instead of a cu-jean, we call.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Them a ju-jean.
- 17:17Speaker 4: She's been with me, like, we've been together for 20 years,
- 17:19Speaker 4: so my mom took her under her wing when she
- 17:21Speaker 4: was 19. And she can cook anything.
- 17:25Speaker 1: That's amazing.
- 17:25Speaker 4: Yeah, she's an amazing cook as well.
- 17:27Speaker 1: I love that.
- 17:28Speaker 4: Yeah, she's a ju-jean.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Ju-jean.
- 17:30Speaker 4: A ju-jean.
- 17:33Speaker 3: So what, so now besides the social media, so you're
- 17:35Speaker 3: very active with that. What are you like, what is like,
- 17:39Speaker 3: what is your like projections of what do you want
- 17:42Speaker 3: to do with the, like the social media?
- 17:43Speaker 4: Well, to be honest, I've actually, I, because this is
- 17:47Speaker 4: kind of just started happening. I've this, so I started
- 17:50Speaker 4: building this following now and this kind of like Italian comedy,
- 17:53Speaker 4: Jewish kind of comedy stuff. I was just like, I
- 17:55Speaker 4: would like to eventually go, get into acting.
- 17:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:59Speaker 4: You know? And it's something I would like to learn,
- 18:01Speaker 4: you know, and be involved in. A lot of people
- 18:04Speaker 4: have kind of said, oh, you should do some stand-up
- 18:06Speaker 4: comedy stuff, but that doesn't totally like.
- 18:07Speaker 1: That doesn't... Right. It doesn't resonate with everybody.
- 18:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:10Speaker 4: I do some funny stuff online. I like doing that. Yeah.
- 18:13Speaker 4: But I don't know, the idea of like doing stand-up comedy,
- 18:15Speaker 4: I don't know, that doesn't excite me as much.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Right.
- 18:18Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah.
- 18:18Speaker 3: And listen, stand-up is not easy and it's like something
- 18:22Speaker 3: that you have to really be passionate about.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Yeah. I'm friends with a lot of comedians, so I know...
- 18:27Speaker 1: It is. It's, you know, I was, it has been
- 18:29Speaker 1: the same thing to Jen. You should do, you should
- 18:30Speaker 1: do comedy. I go, but do I, do I want
- 18:33Speaker 1: to go over and do a set and start doing that?
- 18:35Speaker 1: You know, and it's hard. It's not easy. You know,
- 18:37Speaker 1: you know, you could have a good following, but there's
- 18:39Speaker 1: so many different, there's so many comedians. It's like to
- 18:42Speaker 1: get to that level of popularity. It's, it's hard. It's
- 18:46Speaker 1: not easy to do that. And you, and you have
- 18:49Speaker 1: to go all around.
- 18:50Speaker 4: And, you know, and I've done that with music. I've
- 18:52Speaker 4: been playing 200 shows a year for like almost 10 years.
- 18:55Speaker 4: You're on the road and a tour bus.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Flying.
- 18:58Speaker 4: Like there was one, I remember there was one month
- 19:00Speaker 4: where I was like, I flew 23 times in 30 days.
- 19:03Speaker 4: Oh my God.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Yes.
- 19:04Speaker 4: Sometimes flying twice a day. So I'm just like, I
- 19:07Speaker 4: like the, what I like about the social media thing.
- 19:10Speaker 4: It's like, I do these funny videos in front of
- 19:12Speaker 4: my pool in my lanai and reaching sometimes 500,000 people
- 19:15Speaker 4: or whatever from my pool right you know that then
- 19:20Speaker 4: i was like so maybe there's like a way of
- 19:22Speaker 4: tying that together you know in the future some kind
- 19:25Speaker 4: of live aspect to it you know yeah but yeah
- 19:28Speaker 4: i don't know i don't know it still hasn't like
- 19:29Speaker 4: landed on me just yet yeah but something's happening so
- 19:32Speaker 4: i'm just rolling it there yeah you.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Know yeah i was gonna say too like when i
- 19:36Speaker 2: first saw your video i'm like wow this is my
- 19:38Speaker 2: first story i'm like wow this he's doing something i've
- 19:40Speaker 2: never seen before this is something that's very unique very
- 19:43Speaker 2: very different i'm like i was hooked instantly oh i
- 19:45Speaker 2: appreciate that. Because I was hooked instantly. That's good. You
- 19:47Speaker 2: have something good. You have something very good.
- 19:49Speaker 4: Well, both of you guys too, truthfully. When I saw
- 19:51Speaker 4: you the first time, I loved your energy. Yeah. I
- 19:56Speaker 4: was like, and you're funny. And I was like, yeah, totally.
- 19:59Speaker 4: And then I saw Tony, and Tony's like, he needs
- 20:02Speaker 4: a cartoon.
- 20:02Speaker 1: He does.
- 20:03Speaker 4: He's a cartoon.
- 20:04Speaker 1: He does.
- 20:05Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 20:06Speaker 1: We have to do something, right? Yes, definitely. I think
- 20:08Speaker 1: that we should produce something for him. I agree.
- 20:11Speaker 4: I'm in for that.
- 20:12Speaker 1: We need to do this for him. He totally needs something.
- 20:15Speaker 1: I don't know what we're going to, what it is. Yeah.
- 20:18Speaker 1: A cartoon sounds freaking great. I love that.
- 20:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:20Speaker 1: I think that would be like a Tony Canole adventure. Yes.
- 20:24Speaker 1: You know, the adventures of the cannoli.
- 20:25Speaker 4: Yeah, cannoli.
- 20:26Speaker 1: Well, you know, he's like, friends with a big cannoli.
- 20:28Speaker 1: He talks to them for yes and for vice. He's
- 20:31Speaker 1: like the god cannoli or something. Instead of the good, yeah,
- 20:35Speaker 1: like something like, see, that's a good idea. We thought
- 20:37Speaker 1: of that.
- 20:38Speaker 4: All right, now let me ask you this though.
- 20:40Speaker 2: If that were to happen, would it be for adults?
- 20:44Speaker 5: Oh.
- 20:45Speaker 4: If you show your cannoli, it's going to be.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Oh, they're going to have to stay, they're going to
- 20:47Speaker 2: have to stay, they're.
- 20:48Speaker 4: Going to really have to stay creamy.
- 20:50Speaker 1: You're going to have to stay quick. We want to
- 20:51Speaker 1: be a poor.
- 20:52Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 20:53Speaker 1: This is going to only go or can only point.
- 20:56Speaker 4: Let me fill that for our baby.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Oh, does he feel that shell for you?
- 21:00Speaker 5: That. No, I was going to say, I was going
- 21:04Speaker 5: to say, I've been like, I've been like, would it
- 21:05Speaker 5: be something like out of like an eight year old
- 21:07Speaker 5: watch would be something like, you know, like, would it
- 21:09Speaker 5: be like Simpsons family guy, like, like around that, that, that, that.
- 21:12Speaker 1: We'd have to probably do that type of. Oh, I'm
- 21:16Speaker 1: all for it. We probably, maybe it would be like
- 21:20Speaker 1: PG-13 or maybe a little.
- 21:22Speaker 2: Yeah, some.
- 21:23Speaker 1: But maybe not like a seven-year-old. Maybe some videos that
- 21:26Speaker 1: could watch it. We don't know. We have to figure
- 21:28Speaker 1: that out. But I would probably say not that.
- 21:30Speaker 3: I would say probably not two young childs.
- 21:34Speaker 4: Like, you know. A little bit older.
- 21:39Speaker 3: So let me, so are you, um, have you toured, oh,
- 21:42Speaker 3: this is so interesting, the band thing.
- 21:43Speaker 1: What was the last band you toured with, you said?
- 21:45Speaker 4: Uh, what was the last one I toured with? I
- 21:49Speaker 4: don't remember what the last, it's been a couple years
- 21:53Speaker 4: since COVID, really, that I've been more active working in
- 21:56Speaker 4: the studio.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Okay.
- 21:58Speaker 4: Um, but some of the big ones that I toured
- 22:00Speaker 4: a lot with Nickelback.
- 22:01Speaker 1: Wow.
- 22:02Speaker 4: Um, for a long time, I toured a lot with
- 22:04Speaker 4: the band Stone Temple Pilots. Oh, wow. Um, did a
- 22:08Speaker 4: lot of, A lot of that stuff. And a lot
- 22:11Speaker 4: of people within Rock I've played with.
- 22:13Speaker 1: What do they think about your videos? Do a lot
- 22:15Speaker 1: of them comment?
- 22:16Speaker 4: Yeah, a lot of them comment. But you know, the
- 22:18Speaker 4: whole thing is actually how this kind of really started.
- 22:22Speaker 4: My buddy Lucas Rossi, I don't know if you've ever
- 22:25Speaker 4: heard of him, but Tommy Lee, Jason Newset from Metallica,
- 22:29Speaker 4: and Gilby Clark from Guns N' Roses, had this show.
- 22:31Speaker 4: It was called Rockstar Supernova and it was like an
- 22:33Speaker 4: American Idol show. It was a big show in America.
- 22:35Speaker 5: Oh, you were there?
- 22:36Speaker 2: Yeah, actually I do.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Okay.
- 22:37Speaker 4: So the winner of that show, Lucas Rossi, is from Toronto.
- 22:40Speaker 4: He's Italian. He's 10 years older than me and I
- 22:44Speaker 4: remember I was obsessed with that show.
- 22:46Speaker 5: Right.
- 22:47Speaker 4: And him being from Toronto, he ended up winning the
- 22:49Speaker 4: show and ended up joining that super group touring the
- 22:52Speaker 4: world with those guys.
- 22:53Speaker 5: Right.
- 22:54Speaker 4: And I just knew I was going to connect with
- 22:56Speaker 4: him in the future someday.
- 22:57Speaker 1: Someday, somehow.
- 22:58Speaker 4: I just knew. I was like a teenager, but I
- 23:00Speaker 4: knew one day. Fast forward like a year and a
- 23:03Speaker 4: half ago, I hear that Lucas moved in my area.
- 23:08Speaker 1: Oh, wow.
- 23:09Speaker 4: And I shot him a message. At this point, he
- 23:11Speaker 4: knew who I was because I've had some success in
- 23:13Speaker 4: the music industry. So now we knew of each other,
- 23:15Speaker 4: but not, you know. So I texted him. I'm just like,
- 23:18Speaker 4: Hey buddy, like, are you like, are you in my area?
- 23:20Speaker 4: He's like, yeah. So we started working. So we've been
- 23:22Speaker 4: working on a record together. Oh my God.
- 23:24Speaker 1: That's so amazing.
- 23:25Speaker 4: But the cool thing with Lucas, he's also first generation
- 23:28Speaker 4: Italian from Toronto. So in the studio, like half the
- 23:32Speaker 4: day is us just, just laughing about our, our parents,
- 23:36Speaker 4: you know what I mean? And just shooting the shit
- 23:37Speaker 4: about Italian stuff. And, And through all of his stories
- 23:40Speaker 4: and my stories, I started posting some of this stuff.
- 23:42Speaker 4: And that's where it really started, really. It's kind of
- 23:44Speaker 4: inspired me when I was hanging out with Lucas. That's
- 23:46Speaker 4: so funny.
- 23:47Speaker 1: I love that. See, you always wind up finding your own.
- 23:50Speaker 2: You do.
- 23:50Speaker 1: You do, right? You always gravitate to it.
- 23:53Speaker 4: Yeah, you got to put it out there. And then, like,
- 23:56Speaker 4: it's like you just, especially this day and age, I just, like,
- 23:59Speaker 4: I'm so adamant on, like, my time is the most
- 24:03Speaker 4: important thing. I don't want to spend it with people
- 24:05Speaker 4: I don't like.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Yeah, me too.
- 24:06Speaker 4: I'm just not. Me too. You know? If I like you,
- 24:09Speaker 4: you're in my world and I'm ride or die for you.
- 24:12Speaker 4: But if you're not, I don't have the time, you know?
- 24:14Speaker 4: So I just want to be around people that I like,
- 24:16Speaker 4: you know? And honestly, everybody I've met in the last
- 24:20Speaker 4: couple days here has been amazing. Like the best salt
- 24:24Speaker 4: of the earth. Like what you think about, what you
- 24:28Speaker 4: want New York to be is what you guys are.
- 24:32Speaker 4: I was telling my wife that today. I was just like,
- 24:34Speaker 4: you hear all this shit about New York and all
- 24:36Speaker 4: this crazy stuff. And maybe a lot of it is true,
- 24:40Speaker 4: but you guys are holding down what people really want
- 24:44Speaker 4: New York to stay in peace. And it should be.
- 24:47Speaker 4: It should be. I respect that. I love that. Thank you.
- 24:50Speaker 2: That's very nice of you. Thank you.
- 24:51Speaker 4: I genuinely mean that.
- 24:53Speaker 1: You're a dynamite. Like I said, the minute I watched
- 24:57Speaker 1: your videos and we connected, I was like, I love
- 25:00Speaker 1: this kid. I hate to call you a kid, but
- 25:01Speaker 1: you're old enough. You could be my son. Well, Mom,
- 25:03Speaker 1: he's the best, you know? Tony just tells everybody that
- 25:11Speaker 1: me and Michael Lewis are his parents. I love that.
- 25:13Speaker 1: It's so funny.
- 25:14Speaker 4: I love that.
- 25:15Speaker 1: And then people go, like, to Michael, like, Mike. It's funny.
- 25:19Speaker 1: He tells people that we had him on a one-night stand.
- 25:22Speaker 1: So that makes me a slut. I don't like that. No, no, no.
- 25:25Speaker 1: I don't like that backstory. No, no, no. It's getting around.
- 25:27Speaker 3: Like, when I freaking get pregnant in the back of
- 25:29Speaker 3: an IROC with fucking a caddy.
- 25:31Speaker 1: Like, a filly with brome or some shit.
- 25:33Speaker 3: Like, with fucking, with, like, you know, like, Lisa Lisa
- 25:36Speaker 3: in the background or something.
- 25:37Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Like, I don't like that backstory, but it's all right.
- 25:41Speaker 2: All right.
- 25:41Speaker 4: Well, I was going to say, well, I could change
- 25:44Speaker 4: the backstory. I don't know about that.
- 25:47Speaker 1: It's kind of, that's already out there now. So that
- 25:49Speaker 1: was the story. It's there. It's there.
- 25:50Speaker 2: But anyway, but anyway. No, but I was going to say, no,
- 25:55Speaker 2: but I got to say, it's been, no, but Jen,
- 25:59Speaker 2: you've been phenomenal. You know, you've been absolutely phenomenal. Best mom. No,
- 26:03Speaker 2: she really is. And it's funny because people, people do
- 26:06Speaker 2: ask me like, Oh, wait, what's she on? Like, she's
- 26:08Speaker 2: exactly like how she is in her videos. She's the
- 26:11Speaker 2: nicest person ever. And I would say she's like second
- 26:13Speaker 2: mother to me because she really, really.
- 26:16Speaker 4: Everybody here, man. I noticed even saying, like, I met,
- 26:18Speaker 4: went to Will DeMille's party the other night. What a gentleman. Like,
- 26:22Speaker 4: so he's genuinely nice person.
- 26:25Speaker 1: We're going to get you on Graves there.
- 26:26Speaker 4: Yeah, I'd love to, actually. I love all those guys.
- 26:29Speaker 4: And Michael, I love Michael, too.
- 26:30Speaker 1: Michael's the best. We've got a new one coming in.
- 26:36Speaker 1: All right. The next one, we're going to do all
- 26:38Speaker 1: four of us. We're going to do a second one. Look,
- 26:40Speaker 1: we're talking. Sorry, guys. We can't help, but we're Italian, right?
- 26:46Speaker 1: That's it.
- 26:47Speaker 4: But I love Michael. Michael, I was like, what a
- 26:49Speaker 4: gentleman you know he's always dressed amazing he is he's a.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Funeral director he's got.
- 26:56Speaker 4: I know but he told me at the gravesend thing
- 26:57Speaker 4: he was just like yeah come down he's like it's
- 26:59Speaker 4: gonna be casual I'm gonna be in sweatpants and he
- 27:01Speaker 4: still I show up and he still looks better than
- 27:03Speaker 4: me it's.
- 27:05Speaker 1: You know what's funny?
- 27:06Speaker 3: Michael looks uncomfortable when he's wearing street clothes, like wearing jeans.
- 27:11Speaker 3: He looks more comfortable when he's wearing a suit.
- 27:13Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 27:14Speaker 3: It's so funny. It's just the way, you know, it is.
- 27:17Speaker 3: Because that's what he's used to. He's a gentleman. He
- 27:22Speaker 3: is a definition of a dying breed.
- 27:24Speaker 1: Yes. A dying breed of men. Yes.
- 27:27Speaker 4: That's just the whole world right now.
- 27:29Speaker 1: Yes.
- 27:30Speaker 4: And honestly, that's a huge reason, like, I don't know.
- 27:33Speaker 4: It really it really bothers me actually just seeing like
- 27:35Speaker 4: we were talking about this the other night, like just
- 27:38Speaker 4: in general, like men are being like, oh, yeah, exactly.
- 27:42Speaker 4: Like I look at my dad. My dad's like this tall.
- 27:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:45Speaker 4: OK. And he's just always like a man.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Yes.
- 27:49Speaker 4: It was just like, you know, he was serious. He
- 27:52Speaker 4: could not F with them. Yeah. You knew he was
- 27:55Speaker 4: going to take care of the family. It didn't matter
- 27:57Speaker 4: what was going on. We knew my dad would figure
- 28:00Speaker 4: out and just make... He was a rock. Yeah, he
- 28:02Speaker 4: was a rock. And now it's kind of like... I
- 28:04Speaker 4: don't know. I don't see that in young people now. Dudes,
- 28:08Speaker 4: you can't even look at them in the eye. No.
- 28:10Speaker 2: They don't want to.
- 28:11Speaker 4: It's strange.
- 28:12Speaker 1: It is strange. And I blame that on the feminists.
- 28:15Speaker 1: I really do. These women want to be, you want
- 28:19Speaker 1: to do this. A man should be a man. And
- 28:23Speaker 1: as strong as I am, I still want to be treated.
- 28:26Speaker 1: I think somebody opening the door for me is a
- 28:28Speaker 1: sign of respect.
- 28:29Speaker 4: There you go.
- 28:29Speaker 1: I don't think that's something to make it like I'm
- 28:31Speaker 1: a feeble woman. No, open the door for me.
- 28:34Speaker 3: Help me out of a car because that's respectful to
- 28:36Speaker 3: do that for a woman.
- 28:38Speaker 4: My dad opened the door for a lady in Toronto
- 28:40Speaker 4: and she yelled at him. Oh, that's a stupid woman.
- 28:43Speaker 4: Isn't that, how stupid?
- 28:44Speaker 1: That's insane. Open the door for me. And if you
- 28:47Speaker 1: expect that I'd open the door for you, well, that's
- 28:49Speaker 1: what men do. Then you should open the door for
- 28:51Speaker 1: a man then if that's what you want to be.
- 28:53Speaker 4: Like, little boys need to learn from men how to
- 28:57Speaker 4: be men.
- 28:57Speaker 1: Yes.
- 28:58Speaker 4: And little girls need to learn how to be girls,
- 29:01Speaker 4: women from their mothers. You know what I mean? It's important.
- 29:04Speaker 4: And I find now, like, there's actually a lot of
- 29:06Speaker 4: men that I know, they're not even involved so much
- 29:08Speaker 4: in their kid's life. And, and yeah, a woman can
- 29:12Speaker 4: raise a boy, of course.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Yes.
- 29:15Speaker 4: But to raise a man, you need a, you need
- 29:18Speaker 4: a man needs to be there and show them the way.
- 29:20Speaker 2: Yes.
- 29:20Speaker 4: You know? And I think that's super important. So I
- 29:22Speaker 4: don't know, to me that, that worries me for the
- 29:24Speaker 4: future of the world. I have, I've had two daughters
- 29:26Speaker 4: now and I'm just like, who the hell is going
- 29:29Speaker 4: to be around?
- 29:29Speaker 1: I know, you know, I have three. So I know it's, it's,
- 29:33Speaker 1: it's scary.
- 29:33Speaker 4: I'm like, they're lazy. They don't want to work for anything.
- 29:36Speaker 4: They're entitled, entitled. They don't want to work.
- 29:39Speaker 1: They, want to be taken care of. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 29:42Speaker 1: It's crazy. I'm like, a guy, like, I was, so
- 29:45Speaker 1: I don't know who thought I was telling me this.
- 29:48Speaker 1: They went out to dinner, and it was like the
- 29:50Speaker 1: guy expected her to pay half the bill.
- 29:51Speaker 4: No.
- 29:52Speaker 1: I was like, in my day, if a woman could never,
- 29:56Speaker 1: and now it's still the same thing, but now I
- 29:57Speaker 1: stay with, would never let me put my hands in
- 30:00Speaker 1: my pocket. Never.
- 30:02Speaker 4: No.
- 30:02Speaker 1: Never, ever. And it's like, but it's chivalry. That's chivalry.
- 30:05Speaker 1: That's the way it should be.
- 30:06Speaker 4: You're a gentleman. Right.
- 30:08Speaker 1: You're a gentleman. You know, you guys, you, my friend
- 30:12Speaker 1: over there too, I mean, you guys are younger, but
- 30:14Speaker 1: thank God you have those values, you know, and you
- 30:17Speaker 1: do see it. It's still alive, but it's got a,
- 30:22Speaker 1: it's got to move forward. It's got to be, like,
- 30:24Speaker 1: it's got to change back because this is crazy. I mean,
- 30:27Speaker 1: how are these people.
- 30:28Speaker 4: Going to run the world?
- 30:29Speaker 1: That's what scares me.
- 30:30Speaker 4: That is what scares me. That's what really scares me.
- 30:33Speaker 1: That's what's frightening, you know, to me. And I'm like,
- 30:35Speaker 1: you know what? Thank God my generation is still healthy enough. Like,
- 30:39Speaker 1: people in their 50s and 60s could still try to
- 30:43Speaker 1: correct yeah this and hopefully correct it in the next
- 30:46Speaker 1: 10 15 years so that when i am retired i'm
- 30:50Speaker 1: not worried that you know this is it's crazy it's
- 30:53Speaker 1: crazy how it affects everything.
- 30:55Speaker 4: Yeah it's insane like any time like we've had other
- 30:58Speaker 4: like multiple different businesses and it's i even find it
- 31:01Speaker 4: impossible to hire anybody oh my god because you just
- 31:04Speaker 4: can't i don't like everybody's Not every... I don't want
- 31:06Speaker 4: to say everybody, but I have not had luck finding
- 31:09Speaker 4: enough people who are like... They don't want to work? Yeah.
- 31:11Speaker 2: They're not.
- 31:12Speaker 1: They don't. They want.
- 31:13Speaker 4: Like, everybody wants money, but nobody wants to do anything.
- 31:16Speaker 1: No, they're entitled. They expect to just get it for
- 31:18Speaker 1: showing up. No, you're... You know what? But I did this,
- 31:21Speaker 1: but I went to work to... Yeah, that's your paycheck. Yeah.
- 31:24Speaker 1: That's your, that's your thing for what you did.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:26Speaker 1: You want to get a girl, get above and beyond.
- 31:29Speaker 2: Yes.
- 31:29Speaker 1: They want to be like, like, they want to be
- 31:32Speaker 1: like pat on the back because they did their job. Well,
- 31:34Speaker 1: you get a paycheck for what you did because you
- 31:36Speaker 1: did your job. If you go above and beyond, then
- 31:39Speaker 1: somebody will say, wow, that's a great deal. And yeah,
- 31:41Speaker 1: you know, And give you props for it. But somebody's
- 31:43Speaker 1: not going to be like, oh, thank you for doing
- 31:46Speaker 1: your job. Yeah. They're paying you to do.
- 31:48Speaker 4: Yeah. Crazy.
- 31:49Speaker 1: You know, it's just the mentality is just, I can't.
- 31:53Speaker 1: And it's crazy.
- 31:55Speaker 3: I don't even know what to say. It's got to change.
- 31:58Speaker 3: And hopefully it will. Usually when the pendulum goes too
- 32:01Speaker 3: far one way, it usually swings.
- 32:03Speaker 4: Back the other way.
- 32:04Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 32:06Speaker 1: I'm hoping that happens, but we need people like you
- 32:11Speaker 1: guys from your generation. You've got to pay it forward
- 32:14Speaker 1: and get it out there. Do videos about it. You should.
- 32:19Speaker 1: You should get it out there because it's just... Men
- 32:22Speaker 1: have to feel like they're men. Jordan Peters. I don't
- 32:25Speaker 1: know if you know Jordan Peters.
- 32:26Speaker 4: Yeah, he's from Toronto.
- 32:27Speaker 1: I love him.
- 32:27Speaker 3: And he does all this and he gives young men
- 32:32Speaker 3: a platform to make them feel like Men.
- 32:36Speaker 4: Yes.
- 32:36Speaker 1: Because he says that. He started this like six or
- 32:40Speaker 1: seven years ago and he's saying that men are being...
- 32:43Speaker 1: And he's a psychologist. It's not like he's saying this
- 32:45Speaker 1: for Adam's ass that it's not true.
- 32:47Speaker 4: Yes.
- 32:48Speaker 1: And it's true. Women who marry weak men are miserable.
- 32:52Speaker 1: Are fucking miserable.
- 32:54Speaker 4: And do you guys notice this? Anytime somebody talks shit
- 32:58Speaker 4: to me on Instagram, it's always them. It's either them
- 33:03Speaker 4: with a picture of their cat or just their cat.
- 33:06Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 33:06Speaker 4: Or their dog, maybe.
- 33:07Speaker 2: Yes.
- 33:08Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 33:08Speaker 4: You know, it's like... And that's why you're miserable.
- 33:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:11Speaker 1: Go pet your cat, lady.
- 33:12Speaker 4: Yeah, that's it.
- 33:13Speaker 1: Seriously.
- 33:13Speaker 5: That's it.
- 33:14Speaker 4: It's funny. So, like, I'm, like, very physical. with my wife. Like,
- 33:17Speaker 4: I'll always slap her ass and stuff like that, you know,
- 33:19Speaker 4: and just.
- 33:20Speaker 2: You know, I.
- 33:21Speaker 1: I love that about you.
- 33:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:22Speaker 1: That's great.
- 33:23Speaker 4: You know, I'm always like, you know, I'm a.
- 33:24Speaker 2: Spontaneous. Spontaneous.
- 33:26Speaker 4: Oh, that's good.
- 33:27Speaker 2: That's good.
- 33:27Speaker 4: I like, I got a beautiful wife and I like,
- 33:29Speaker 4: you know, I touch her. So....
- 33:35Speaker 1: That's good. So you have a healthy marriage.
- 33:37Speaker 4: Yeah. Or, you know, it's like my son, I'm not,
- 33:39Speaker 4: you know, not being overly inappropriate, but my son's seeing,
- 33:41Speaker 4: you know, just like daddy's like, you know, wants mommy
- 33:44Speaker 4: or whatever. And, uh, this was, uh, before we started homeschooling,
- 33:48Speaker 4: this is last year. My, my daughter had like a
- 33:51Speaker 4: parent teacher interview and she's like, daddy, please don't be
- 33:59Speaker 4: too sexy.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Okay.
- 34:00Speaker 2: At school.
- 34:02Speaker 1: I will. I will.
- 34:02Speaker 2: No.
- 34:04Speaker 1: That's freaking hilarious. I love that. I love that. I
- 34:08Speaker 1: love that.
- 34:09Speaker 4: I love it too.
- 34:10Speaker 1: No, but that's good.
- 34:11Speaker 3: But it's good to show your kids that you love
- 34:14Speaker 3: each other. That's the best thing to do for kids
- 34:16Speaker 3: is for parents to love each other.
- 34:17Speaker 1: That's the best thing to do.
- 34:19Speaker 3: And it is true. And people get married today. And
- 34:22Speaker 3: if it's like, oh, well, it's just not working out
- 34:23Speaker 3: for me. And they want to get divorced because they
- 34:26Speaker 3: want to be happy every minute.
- 34:28Speaker 1: That's not going to happen.
- 34:29Speaker 4: That's in the movies.
- 34:30Speaker 2: Yes.
- 34:30Speaker 1: That doesn't happen in real life.
- 34:32Speaker 4: You got to work towards anything.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Of course.
- 34:34Speaker 4: If you want anything in life to be great, you
- 34:36Speaker 4: have to work towards it.
- 34:37Speaker 1: And usually that's what the great about it is because
- 34:40Speaker 1: it's so hard.
- 34:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:41Speaker 1: You know, and that's when you get such satisfaction when
- 34:44Speaker 1: you do work for it.
- 34:45Speaker 3: You know, it's like nothing is going to be, you know.
- 34:48Speaker 3: you know, uh, the cherries and rainbows every day. It's just,
- 34:52Speaker 3: just not that. And I think that's the other problem
- 34:53Speaker 3: with this generation.
- 34:54Speaker 4: Yes. But there's also a lot of people that like, I,
- 34:57Speaker 4: I find like now, like get married. I'm like, why
- 35:00Speaker 4: the hell did you guys get married?
- 35:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:01Speaker 4: Like you guys, like you should, you two should have
- 35:03Speaker 4: never gotten married.
- 35:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:05Speaker 4: And, and they, and just even knowing it before they
- 35:07Speaker 4: got married, you could tell that they, it's just like,
- 35:09Speaker 4: but people are just kind of in the motion of
- 35:10Speaker 4: doing it.
- 35:11Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 35:12Speaker 4: Yeah. I don't know.
- 35:13Speaker 3: Because it's just, I think it's just that, I think
- 35:16Speaker 3: the idea of it is what people want to do
- 35:18Speaker 3: these days.
- 35:18Speaker 1: They don't understand. They have to understand the work that
- 35:21Speaker 1: it puts involved in any relationship. Yeah. You know, it happens.
- 35:25Speaker 1: You have to put the work in. And that's great
- 35:27Speaker 1: that you have such a great relationship with your wife. Well,
- 35:29Speaker 1: next time you come.
- 35:30Speaker 4: To Europe, you better bring her with you. Yeah, I'm
- 35:31Speaker 4: going to. She was going to come, but just because
- 35:33Speaker 4: of the baby, like, is all fresh. She's only a
- 35:35Speaker 4: month old.
- 35:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:36Speaker 4: She's fresh.
- 35:37Speaker 1: What's her name?
- 35:38Speaker 4: Daphne. Oh, that's nice.
- 35:40Speaker 1: Yeah. Baby Daphne.
- 35:42Speaker 4: Yeah, so Willow, Sage, Koa, Daphne.
- 35:45Speaker 2: I like it.
- 35:45Speaker 1: Beautiful.
- 35:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:46Speaker 1: I love that.
- 35:47Speaker 4: Yeah, they're cool. They're pretty cool kids. My kids are cool. Yeah,
- 35:50Speaker 4: they are.
- 35:50Speaker 1: I like that. We'll keep them.
- 35:51Speaker 4: Yeah, we'll keep them.
- 35:52Speaker 1: We'll keep them around. Any more you think after this?
- 35:54Speaker 1: I think this is it.
- 35:54Speaker 4: Honestly, my wife would keep going. She'd be like... They're
- 35:59Speaker 4: so expensive. I'm like, babe, like, I'm going to have
- 36:02Speaker 4: to OnlyFans here soon. Like, just.
- 36:05Speaker 1: If you don't want me, like, you know, showing my feet.
- 36:08Speaker 1: That's what I said. I said, I'll show my feet
- 36:10Speaker 1: whenever I got it.
- 36:10Speaker 4: I got an ugly toe, too. So I'm just like,
- 36:12Speaker 4: probably got a couple likes to bust for that. Stick
- 36:17Speaker 4: it in ice cream, you know.
- 36:20Speaker 1: He'd stick my big toe in ice cream.
- 36:21Speaker 4: Drizzle it in chocolate.
- 36:23Speaker 1: And pudding or something. Oh, my God. That's so funny. So, Sal,
- 36:28Speaker 1: tell everybody where they can find you. And let us know.
- 36:31Speaker 1: Do you have anything coming up soon?
- 36:33Speaker 4: So you can just Sal Costa official on Instagram. And
