- 1:05I know what you might be feeling. Maybe you took a boot camp and it wasn’t helpful.
- 1:10Maybe you’ve been studying alone and feel stuck. Maybe you're lost in internet searches.
- 1:15You're putting in the effort, but you're worried—what if it’s not enough?
- 1:20What if the exam asks different questions? Are they trying to trick me? What do I need to memorize?
- 1:25All these thoughts are running through your head, and you just want clarity.
- 1:30You need a clear path to understand what you need to know and how to pass.
- 1:35Your confidence, your job, your future—it all starts with passing this test.
- 1:40I understand because I was in your shoes. I was a traveling consultant who needed my PMP to move forward.
- 1:45I took a well-known boot camp and felt dumber every second I was in there.
- 1:50I almost gave up, but my wife pushed me to figure it out. And I did.
- 1:55Now, after years of helping thousands of students, I want to share what I’ve learned with you.
- 2:00First, let’s break some common beliefs. Number one: You do NOT have to memorize everything.
- 2:05Many people believe they need to cram everything from the PMBOK Guide into their heads. Wrong.
- 2:10Instead of memorizing, you need to **understand** the concepts.
- 2:15PMI is not trying to trick you. They are testing your ability to apply knowledge in real-world scenarios.
- 2:20The PMP exam is about understanding Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid approaches.
- 2:25You need to know how to make the right decision—not a perfect decision, but the best one based on the situation.
- 2:30To do that, we’ll break down processes in a way that makes sense and is easy to remember.
- 2:35You’ll learn by putting yourself in real-world project scenarios and thinking through solutions.
- 2:40This is how you **truly learn** and not just memorize random facts.
- 2:45Now, I want you to take what I teach and explain it to someone else—friends, family, anyone.
- 2:50When you can teach it, you own it. That’s the key to success on the PMP exam.
- 2:55It won’t always be easy, but having study partners or a supportive community helps.
- 3:00If you don’t have one, you’ve got me. Call me anytime—757-759-5282.
- 3:05We also have an amazing student community you can join to study with others.
- 3:10You’ve found the right place. This process will work for you.
- 3:15Boot camps don’t respect your brain—they throw information at you and leave you alone to struggle.
- 3:20Instead, find a learning style that works for you. Visual, hands-on, discussion-based—it all matters.
- 3:25Now that we’ve covered the big picture, I want you to move on to Episode 2.
- 3:30In the next episode, I’ll walk you through the best way to **solve PMP questions**.
- 3:35There’s one right way to do it, and it will make you a better problem solver.
- 3:40Jump into Episode 2, and let’s get started. I’m pumped to have you here. Let’s go!
